(01:30):
fired from the outside or inside the stadium.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Y'all know it was inside the stadium.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
You're saying it was outside, so you're not liable for
anything that may occur from that being fired.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
INSI.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
That's just that's my two cents. So that now, obviously
I had technical difficulties joining you for the first fifteen minutes.
You guys talked about Trey Lances, which is something that
I wanted to discuss. So we're gonna go back on
that real briefly. What were your thoughts on the true lance?

(02:01):
I would say saga and now trade and so I
can give you minds.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Wow, you know what, I just think that John Lynch
and this organization Kyle Shanahan don't want to come out
and say, you know, maybe they missed on this pick.
Obviously we all know that what the what the Sanransusco
forty niners gave up to get him, And just a

(02:29):
few days ago Jonas came out and said he has,
you know, made leaps and bounds from where he was
at last year, but we were unable to build or
trailer an offense around him. And I believe that this
guy can play football. I mean I do. He hasn't

(02:50):
been able to play for some bad luck issues with
Jimmy Garoppolo being hurt and him going down with the
knee and or brought party mister irrelevant. Nobody even knew
who this guy was.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
He probably was going to be the practice squad quarterback
with with the injuries that happened to the forty nine ers,
and he was putting to line up and he goes
seven and zero and now he used to start name
the name sort of the quarterback for the team.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
But we haven't seen Trey Lance play. And everybody's calling
this man a bus for what reason? Because you expected
him to get drafted number three of all and come
in and start and take your team to the Super
Bowl or NFC Championship or whatever the case may be.
The man has not had the opportunity to be healthy

(03:39):
to show us that he is capable of being an
NFL quarterback. So when people call him a bus, I
don't agree with that. I think this man needed a
fresh start. He got that he's been able to you know,
get out of San Francisco. John Lynch traded him to Dallas,
and I was saying to Alo earlier, and you know,

(04:00):
we talked about this early earlier this week on the show,
on The Carton Show, and I was asked, wild Trey
Lance start for another NFL organization? I said, yes, And
now he's in Dallas, and what are the odds of
him if Dak Prescott happens to go down or miss

(04:22):
a game, that Trey Lance will be inserted for the
Dallas starting quarterback.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Sometime this season.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
And notably I have brought this to my attention that
the Dallas Cowboys played at Tampason can fordy on us
and what Week five or whatever it may be. So
there are a lot of moving pieces of this. Is
he the right fit for Dallas? I don't necessarily agree
with with where he wound up because I believe, you know,

(04:55):
Dak is going to be the quarterback movement for it
puts Trey Lance in a backup position. But if Dak
Prescott doesn't, if he does happen to miss a few games,
if Drey LANs is put into this offense and does
really well, what are the Dallas Cowboys move from there.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Number One, if Trey Lance has to play within the
first month of the season, I don't know how well
he's gonna play. People just think, oh, man, Yeah, you
go to a team learning the offense. That's not gonna
be easy. You've been trying to master this San Francisco
forty nine ers offense for the last two and a
half years, and now you go to Dallas. Now you

(05:37):
have to learn an entire new offense. And football is universal,
but one word in San Francisco will mean this. It
may be a completely different thing in Dallas. And so
now you got to reset your brain to really understand
what is what And that's not as easy as people
make you believe. It can be done obviously within the month,

(05:58):
but it's not gonna be easy for quarterback to the
line calls, the protections, the plays, the formations.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
That's a lot to learn.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
He'll figure it out, but if it's early in the season,
that's gonna take some time for him to just understand that.
Will he be Cooper Rush out if Dak gets hurt
early in the season? I say no, because Cooper Rush
understands and knows the offense. He's not gonna play and
you said, you know, he never really had a chance
to be a starter. When his opportunity came, he couldn't

(06:31):
stay healthy. Like, if I'm not mistaken, I believe Trey
Lance played in eight football games since he was drafted.
That's the least of any top ten pick with the
team that drafted them in NFL history. That's the least
amount of games that the top ten pick has ever played.
Eight games with thirteen And so we knew coming out

(06:53):
he didn't throw the ball a lot in high school.
He never attempted twenty passes in any game in college,
so he lacks so much experience throwing the ball compared
to a lot of kids coming out that he was
already behind the eight ball coming into the NFL, and

(07:13):
you get an opportunity. He got hurt, and so he
just has to stay healthy. But what you brought up,
if he can go to Dallas and get in the game,
if he can go to Dallas, get in the game
and play well, you don't have to play great, just
play well. Oh, the Cowboys have all kind of leverage

(07:34):
now on Dak Prescott because you know next year Dak
Prescott's cap hit, I believe is fifty nine million. No,
he is guaranteed sixty million dollar thising year and so
and I believe that's the last year on his deal. Yeah,
and so now you're looking, we have who everybody thought
was a consensus might not have been a third pick,

(07:57):
which top seven to eight pick consensus. Now, now you
got a guy that you say, oh, let's see how
he looks. Let's get him in our system, and let's
see what Mike McCarthy can really do, because Mike McCarthy
at one point in time had this reputation of being
a guy that can develop quarterbacks. Right, let's see what
you can do now, because you got a guy that

(08:18):
many thought was going to be a really, really good player.
Let's see if you can get him back on track.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Hey, but yeah, go ahead.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
What I don't know if you guys discussed this. And
I know the forty nine ers are always one of
the best teams and rosters in the league. And I
know Kyle Shanahan is one of the best coaches in
the league, and I know John Lynch is one of
the best gms in the league. But they need to
take a ton of blame for this, a ton And

(08:49):
you can't just gloss over it because they win and
they're good coaches and executives. You give up three first
round picks, and if you just if you just look
at at the guys that were drafted, dude, don't just
look at the guys that were drafted after Trey Lance,

(09:11):
like Kyle Pitts, Jamar Chase, hold On, hold on, just
let me just go through this list. Go ahead, Kyle Pitts,
Jamar Chase, Jalen Waddle, Penasul Certain, Davonte Smith, Justin Fields.
And you know who they the pick they gave up
to move up to get him. You know who that

(09:32):
guy turned into?

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Who was that? Michaeh Parsons? Look at just look at that.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
Michael Paarson's and Nick Bosa because you man.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
And so.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
When you look at the guys drafted after and the
picks that turned Michaeh Parsons like what, they have to
bear responsibility for that. I don't care if you don't
win a Super Bowl. Y'all have made a grave mistake.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
And they would not win a Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
And so I'm saying this, I'm thinking to myself, you
know how and what are the forty nine ers going
to do with Trey Lance? Moving forward, you give up
three first round picks in all the names that you mentioned,
So they missed on this pick. Somebody has to be
held responsible for Somebody has to be accountable for this,

(10:32):
somebody in the scouting department or whatever the case may be,
because they set the organization back two or three years
with this decision that they made. But I'm saying there's
no way that the forty nine ers get rid of
trade lance or unload him to any other team just
because of the male fact of what they were, what

(10:54):
they gave up to get him. I'm thinking that Kyle
Shanahan and John Letchen his organization are going to help
assist this man to get to be the player that
they thought that they drafted. And to give up three
first round picks for this guy and to trade him
with Dallas for a fourth round pick, I just don't

(11:17):
even know where to begin with the decision making of
who scouted this young man and to miss in this
big of a fashion.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
You know, it was reports Shanahan wanted Mac, the many
in the front office, including John Lynch, wanted Trey. When
I say Mac, Mac Jones, uh huh. And so but
when you win and you draft brock Purty with the
last pick of the draft and he turns out to
be what he is and the way they developed, guys,

(11:49):
you tend to get a pass. But when you look
at imagine if Patrick certain was on that roster right
now playing corner. Come on, man, just look at that, guys.
So this is gonna go from being mister irrelevant last
pick in the draft to be probably a forty fifty
million dollars quarterback in the next two years. I mean,

(12:11):
he does have what three years left on his rooky contract.
So they they they they are in a great place.
So since they're in a great place, Like, what's the
hold up with Bosa? Get him into camp? Paym Like,
what are y'all doing. You're messing up by giving up
these draft picks for a guy that played eight games,

(12:32):
and you're messing up even more by not having your
best defensive player in camp getting him ready to play.
Push for the Super Bowl because the NFC is as
weak as it's ever been, at least on paper. But
I'm not gonna lie. You know, you know what, We're
gonna take a break because we can go on and on.
I want to get to like the surprise I have
a team in the NFC that I think can be

(12:54):
a real surprise. And I don't know why I'm thinking this.
I just watched them plan a preseason. I was like, man,
I'm really impressed and I know it's gonna surprise some people.
We'll be right back up on game, Fox Sports Radio,
Plexico Burrs. I'm tjhush Manzada. Welcome back in up on game.
We're live from the tire reck dot Com studios.

Speaker 1 (13:18):

Speaker 3 (13:19):

(13:50):

tire rack dot Com. The way tire buy in should
be plex before we went on break.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
I'm just.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Looking at the NFC and I was watching the preseason
game and I said, man, you know what, this team
gonna be pretty good. I was really impressed, and I'm
really I'm extremely impressed with the head coach. This dude here,
I believe is one of the top six to seven coaches.
And the only reason I put him outside the top

(14:26):
five he just hadn't been a head coach long enough.
But okay, I'll say he's a top ten head coach
and he's only been a head coach one season. I
think he's that good of a coach just from the
way they played last year, the way they performed, and
what I've seen in a granted it is the preseason, man,
and you're probably gonna be you gonna like that. I'm

(14:48):
saying this, know what, the more I think about it,
them New York Football Giants, Man, I'm impressed. Like I
watched the preseason and like Daniel Jones just throwing the
ball better. Darren Waller is back to being a monster
that he is. I don't care what nobody says. Isaiah

(15:08):
Simmons can play football. You don't put a six a
six four two hundred and thirty five pound man in safety.
Unless it's Sean Taylor, you don't. You don't put those
guys in safety. Those guys got to play close to
the line of screamers. Put him in linebacker. They're not safeties.
I think the Giants can really do damage in the NFC.
It's is the weakest it's ever been, at least on paper.

(15:31):
And I really like Brian Daboy as a head coach.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
Man. This dude is remarkable.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
You look at the impact he had on John Shallen,
that's evident, and then the Daniel Jones was on his
way out the league. He was on his way out
the league, and now he got a forty million dollars
per year contract. And I believe just dable. It's something
that he's doing that these players gravitate towards. We already

(15:58):
know he's a great coach, but unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (16:03):
And listen, I've been knowing Brian since I was in college.
He was my office at GA when I was in
Michigan State with Nick Saby, so I've been knowing him.
I've been knowing this man since I was eighteen years old.
And you know, we we have a very good relationship.
He wanted to bring me on the coach Stafford coacher.
What I received was him, Man, you know what, I'd

(16:25):
rather just watch from the sideline. But I'll say this,
he is in tune with today's players, and I think
that is one of the things that separates him from
the rest of the coaches in his league.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Not from the Andy.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
Reids and all of those guys who I believe is
the best coaching football right now, but he understands guys
like well, this generation of the players because he has
came up and watched how the game has transfer and
where the players are at now. And just a couple

(17:05):
we used to go grunk came out and said, basically, listen,
if I was come back and play football, it's only
one person that I want to play for, and that's
Brian day Ball And that is a culture, and that's
the culture that he has created in this building.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
I was at training camp a couple of weeks.

Speaker 4 (17:18):
Ago, and he understands that he knows football. And look
at all the speed that this man has added to
this football team. Parish Campbell. We get him from from
Kansas City.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
Now from uh, my bad, my bad, I'm thinking college
whatever and we add Darren Waller understanding that Daniel Jones
needed a security blanket because you know, two years just
two years ago, he had had one of the highest
completion percent in.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
All of football. Mark Davis doesn't care about his organization.
He's letting everybody go. And I was just saying two
years ago, well two years ago, Darren Waller called a
hundred balls. You just don't catch a hundred balls and
forget how to play football. He's been injured and he

(18:11):
hasn't been healthy, and when he's healthy, he's one of
the top three tight ends in all the football.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
You add this.

Speaker 4 (18:18):
Kid, Hiatt, who I've had the opportunity to watch in person.
This kid is electric. He is crazy fast on the
football field, and it gives Daniel Jones this comfort level
of being able to throw the football to guys that
he know is going to make plays for him. Now

(18:40):
understanding that Daniel Jones, this is this first time in
his career in year five, that he has had the
same offensive coordinator for back to back seasons, and this
is one of the main reasons why he will take
the jump of being a good quarterback to a very

(19:02):
good quarterback.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
You give the quarterback, all.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
Of these weapons, and you add Sakwan Barkley to this mix,
and we're talking about offensively, they can be very scary.
And now you're talking about the Isaiah Simmons. So everybody
was saying, oh, this guy was a bus we took
him in the first round, blah blah blah. Arizona, that teacher,
you know this better than anybody. It's all about what

(19:27):
system you're in. And he fits the Wink Martindale system
better than plays yeah in this league, because he was
in Baltimore, and you know what Wink wants to do.
He's gonna blitch, create pressure. And this kid is he's fast,
he's a.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
Hybrid safety, slash linebacker, whatever you want to call him.
They're gonna put this young man in the box and
tell them to go play football. And that is how
you get the best out of your players. Hand them
to them strips and day ball and and Wink martin
death defensive coordinator. They understand that this man's gonna be

(20:08):
a hell a football player for this defense.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
I'm telling you right now.

Speaker 4 (20:12):
If Wink goes out and blitzes and creates pressure, this
man is gonna be all over the football field, and listen,
we're flying under the radar.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
The Giants are. Everybody's talking to everybody's talking about the Sam.
How good they are.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
Hey, I'm telling you right now, do not be surprised
what you see come out of the New York Giants
this year.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
Offensively, Sam. You see how you see how he just
did me?

Speaker 3 (20:41):
He's saying, nobody believes in them, And I'm the I really,
I've really watched him and I'm impressed. And I can't
say this, and I don't know day Ball. I met
him once. I don't know him, but boy, I'm telling
you he he should have been a head coach long
time ago.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
And he's a players guy.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
He should have been a head coach. That means you
know what that means for players? When you have a
coach that you really love to play for, you gonna
give him get everything you got.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
I don't cause because he has respect for you, and
he's a players coach that the players love.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
I don't know where he was a finalist at prior
to getting a New York Giants job, but I guarantee
that front office and them owners are kicking themselves. And
you know what now that this dude here he gonna
be the Giants coach as long as he wants to
be the coach. He's that good of a coach. Like,
there's just no way Daniel Jones is on his way

(21:43):
out of the league and he's forty million a year.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
That's coaching, that's culture and so.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
Understanding what to do with the ball, understanding the players limitations.
We're not gonna have him do more than what he
can do. I'm a big fan of Brian day Ball.
I like what I saw of Daniel Jones' preseason, but
I'm impressed in the additions that they have.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
It is really impressed me.

Speaker 3 (22:08):
So I believe the Giants will be a sleeper, and
I mean in a major way in that division. Just
you got the Eagles, who everybody presume is gonna be
one or two in the conference. You have the Cowboys,
who people believe are gonna be top three in the comp.
Just that division alone is gonna be tough to make
it out of. But I am fans or I am
a fan of what I believe the New York Giants

(22:31):
can and will be this season. Everything else remains to
be seen. But yeah, I wanted to touch on that because, oh,
the NFC is weak. It's really a two team race,
maybe a three team race with the Eagles, Niners, and Cowboys.
I also think the Seattle Seahawks sleeper man Pete Curroll

(22:52):
has rebuilt this team. They gonna be a That's who
I thought you was gonna say. I think leaningp my Giants,
they gonna be the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are gonna
be a proper I don't believe the NFC is gonna
be as weak as many perceive it to be. It's
just because they don't have the Aaron Rodgers in the

(23:14):
conference anymore, that they don't have the top name quarterbacks.
But there's gonna be some sleepers, and I believe the
Giants is my number one sleeper. But the Seahawks, that
young talent that Pete Karon john Snyder is acquired up
there in Seattle, They're gonna be a problem for years
to come as well. The NFC West is not guaranteed

(23:35):
that the same fams Ford knowledge win this division set
gonna push them. Seattle's gonna push up for that division.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
I truly believe that it's a big Roberty game.

Speaker 4 (23:45):
We haven't seen Brock Party go through any adversity as
a quarterback. Now that Trey LANs is out of the building,
what happens is Brock Party loses two or three games
in a row and he's not not playing well.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
Word due to samsug for I go, they go to
Sam Donald, Sam Donald Ready. Bro Right, Sam Donaldready. Now,
now the other two teams in that division get luck
with that they can have it.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
I think the round Cardinals are probably going to be
the worst team in.

Speaker 3 (24:14):
Football one in sixteen, alongside one in sixteen, alongside probably
the Houston Texas one in sixteen.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
The Texan's going to be better than the Cardinals.

Speaker 4 (24:23):
Bro But Cardinal, Hey, what do you do if you're
the Arizona Cardinals? They say, if you go one in
sixteen or two and fifteen, and you have the first
pick and not unload Calin Murray's contract, and Caleb, Caleb
Williams is sitting right there for you to draft.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
Either you draft Caleb Williams or you get three first
round picks for him for that first pick. Either you
draft Caleb Williams or you immediately rebuild your.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
Team with three bodies. That's what you do.

Speaker 4 (24:53):
That contract, that Caleb, that Calin Murray has nobody's gonna
do anything with that.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
Well, then you got it. I don't know what the
they do.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
Hopefully they don't have to decide, but if they do,
you better make the right decision.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
Does it can change the franchise?

Speaker 4 (25:07):
Good at that Arizona calls sit there looking at this situation. Listen,
I don't want to be in this position. Yeah, Caleb
Williams is sitting at the first pick. No, they want
to be there. They want to be there that They'll
just they'll figure out the way.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
They'll pay a decent amount of the contract if they
have the first pick they are drafting Kaylor Williams.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
They're not trading that. You you can't.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
You can't take that chance with somebody who they believe
is generational, like one guy said, was generational years ago,
And it sure is looking like he is. Is it right,
mister Barris? Who I'm talking about? Who I'm talking about?
You talking about that god damn in Duvalal County?

Speaker 1 (25:44):
Yeah? I did I not say that?

Speaker 3 (25:46):
Yeah, and you gave me we still got some time
show how good or great this quarterback you may be.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
And I'm telling I'm not sold. I'm so I'm not sold.

Speaker 4 (25:59):
But they are all going to be better this year,
TJ and so I believe that they will win the
AFC South because I think that defense is a lot
better when people get them given.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
Them credit for their team.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
But I need to continue to see progress from Trevor
Lawrence before I annoint him as being a generational talent.

Speaker 3 (26:18):
Yeah, we'll be a good season, can wait for it.
We must get to trend in Iloh. What you got
for us, mister Isaac Lowing.

Speaker 5 (26:24):
Crime fellas already a busy day in the NFL, starting
with Raiders running back Josh Jacobs agreeing to a new
contract to end his holdout. NFL media reports it's a
one year, twelve million dollars deal, with Jacobs himself tweeting simply,
I'm back on the preseason scoreboard. The Cleveland Browns an
eight to three lead at Kansas City six and a

(26:47):
half minutes in Wanna Thornhill a thirty four yard picked
six against his former team, intercepting Shane Bouchelle, and then
Cleveland scored on a two point conversion. However, Brown's receiver
Jaquem Brown Jakeim Grant injured his knee on the opening
kickoff Grant's right leg yeah, put in an air cast.
He was carted off the field at Arrowhead Stadium. And

(27:09):
of course, and remember Grant missed all of last season
when he tore his achilles during training camp. In August
of twenty twenty two, the Minnesota Vikings of fourteen to
three lead over the previously mentioned Arizona Cardinals with five
to ten left to play in the first quarter. At Lambeau.
The green Bay Packers a three to nothing lead over

(27:29):
the Seattle Seahawks one eleven left to play in the
first quarter. Jordan Love three out of eight four seven
yards for green Bay. The Buffalo Bills a seven to
nothing lead over Chicago with three oh one left in
the first quarter. Josh Allen done for the day. He
completed five of seven passes for forty nine yards, justin
Field's zero for three for Chicago. Today, FIFA Soccer's governing

(27:53):
body provisionally suspended fame Spain Football Federation president Luis Rubialis
for ninety days after he non consensually kissed Spain player
at Jenny Hermoso on the mouth moments after Spain's victory
in the recent World Cup final. Finally, in Tusay's opening

(28:14):
game of the Foeba World Cup of Basketball today. They
actually fell behind New Zealand early fourteen to four, but
recovered for a ninety nine to seventy two victory. Guys,
back to you, hey TJ.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
Man, before you just jump back into it, man, I
just want to say, man, listen, I watched this first
player this Kansas City and Cleveland game, and this kid,
Grant Senior Alo just mentioned that this man tore his
achilles and training camp last season and he missed the
whole entire year, and the first player of the preseason

(28:48):
policing game that he was put in, he tore his
knee up running back a kickoff. And you're talking about
life and you know, going through things and tribulations and fighting,
you know, for your dream and being able to, you know,
just play the game. And when you see and you
hear things like that and us being so fortunate to

(29:12):
play the game and you know, you know, being available
and not you know, being hurt and missing seasons. Man,
I just I feel bad for the kid man, and
it's unfortunate. And I'm pretty sure he fought, as you know,
he fought his ass off to get healthy and to
get back and watch that happen in that fashion.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
Man.

Speaker 4 (29:33):
People don't know what we go through, and it's gonna
be tough for this young man mentally to come back
and fight. But I know that he will, you know,
fight and come back and play again.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
The hardest part is, uh is now two straight years
of season ending injuries, right That takes a toll on
anybody mentally anybody. And let's stay in that game. Because
Kansas City Chiefs, to me, their best defensive player by

(30:05):
a little mile, Chris Jones. He's basically implying that, listen,
you don't give me a new deal, I will hold
out till week eight. He's incurred daily fines of fifty
thousand dollars per day during camp.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
Once the regular.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
Season comes, he gonna be giving up one point one million,
one point one million per game check. And even know
what he said, I can afford it. I can afford it.
I'm telling you right now, if Chris Jones is not
on that field, the Kansas City Chiefs are a different
football team, and we want to give a quarterback and

(30:45):
Travis Kelsey all this credit. I'm telling you right now,
if ninety five is not in the middle of that defense.
Watch what happens to the Chiefs. Watch what happens defensively. Yeah,
but you know there'll be different spags will have to
Agnola would have to obviously, you know, you know, call
his game. What's back gonna do? Put one hundred pounds

(31:06):
and go play, because that's all he can do. He
would adjust, adjust, But the football team, no doubt about it,
Like there ain't no coaching that you can do. Coaches
are good coaches when you have good players. Players are
good players when you have coaches that put you in
the position to succeed. This thing goes handing. Chris Jones

(31:29):
is the second best interior lineman behind Aaron Donald. And
it's not close. It's not close. If you don't have
he's single handedly. To me, this is just me, my observation.
There's the reason the Chiefs beat the Bengals in the
championship game last year. He dominated that game up front
like that. The Bengals couldn't block him. He's not on

(31:51):
the field the Bengals in.

Speaker 4 (31:52):
The And just the fact that you said that he's
the second best defensive tackle behind Aaron Donald. Oh you
look at uh you know Leonard Williams and Dexter Lawrence,
Jeffrey Simmons, Dran you know, just got paid Williams.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
It's a lot of younger guys coming out.

Speaker 4 (32:10):
These guys have all signed four year contracts north of
ninety million dollars and all of those guys that I
mentioned statistically and you know, performance wise, Chris Jones is
better than all of those and he wants to be
compensated for the prout that he puts out on the

(32:30):
football field.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
And I don't blame him.

Speaker 4 (32:33):
And it's the craziest thing with this, you know, the
business part of this is that you know when the
you know, the owners and the general managers and the
head coaches, they bring you into a team, they bring
it into their organization.

Speaker 3 (32:49):
They want you to be great. They want you to
go out and perform at an elite level and be
in first team Mall Pro and be uh, you know,
first team, you know, NFL All Pro, make the Pro
Bowl and do all these things. And then when you
go out there before on Sundays and you put that

(33:10):
product in front of them and then you say, you
know what, I want to be paid alongside of my colleagues.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
They looked the other way.

Speaker 4 (33:24):
And that's one of the things that I've ever understood
about the business side of this. When the man goes
out there every Sunday and every day and he puts
elite play on the football field and you are winning
world championships.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
Now you have to be rewarded for that.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
I mean, come on, man, hey, I'm telling you what
they say when they let tyreek Kill go. You remember
what that what the chief said, And when they let
him go, we know we're gonna have to pay guys
down the line, and the Chris Jones is and that
was the first thing they said. And then Travis Kelsey's well,
Travis Kelcey, he said, he knows he's underpaid, but he
ain't gonna make a big deal about it. Of course,

(34:03):
because they gonna take Travis Kelsey. We said, Patrick Mahomes
is underpaid. So how many guys is gonna be underpaid
before you start taking care of them? Because you knew
that was part of the reason you traded Tyreek Kill.
Something has to give. I really really believe that. Geez, you,
I better figure this out, man. You can't have too
many of your best players upset about.

Speaker 4 (34:23):
And I tell you one thing, I do know if
Travis Kelsey's was to take this stance that Chris Jones
is saying, I'm not coming out training and.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
Paid me, it would have been done a long time ago.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
But because Travis Kelcey is a skilled guy, Travis Kelsey
can He's able to do commercials and make money off
the field.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
Chris Johns, ain't you talking about that?

Speaker 3 (34:43):
Now?

Speaker 4 (34:43):
You're talking about a team being good or great or
elite without a player. Take away Travis Kelsey from Patrick
Mahomes and see how good he.

Speaker 3 (34:51):
But see Travis Kelcey again. He can make millions of
dollars off the field. Chris Jones isn't doing that because
he doesn't get to know Toarioty outside of just real
football guys like ourselves that he deserves And so the
Chiefs better figure that out or this season can go.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
Hey wire rough, Yeah, you have my.

Speaker 3 (35:12):
Homes, but I'm telling you now, Chris Jones is a
game wrecord on defense.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
Y'all hear the music.

Speaker 3 (35:20):
When you hear the music, we must break up on
game Fox Sports Radio. That's Plaxico Burris, I'm TJ. Houschman
Zada will be right back back end up on Game
We're live from the tie rack dot Com studio. I'm TJ.
Houschman Zada joined with mister Plaxico Burr's time for the
Progressive play of the day.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
Young shotgun snap four man Rush Young floats it downfield.

Speaker 1 (35:46):
It's caught by Feeling near.

Speaker 5 (35:48):
The pilot touchdown Price Young to Adam Feeling.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
Young's first touchdown passes a Panther.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
That was brought to us by ninety nine seven the
Fox Panthers Radio Network. Bryce shaung with his first NFL
touch and all being in the preseason, but a touchdown
nonetheless that was brought to you by Progressive Insurance. Progressive
make fundling easy and affordable. Get a multi policy discount
by combining your motorcycle, RV, bow ATV and more all

(36:20):
your protection in one place, bunding save at Progressive dot
Com play. As we wrap up the show, I just
thought it was funny, man, young players just having fun.
I don't know if you realize, man, it's the preseason,
but you want guys to be an Anthony Richson. He

(36:42):
was hitting the Fly Eagles five celebrations in the preseason
game and he played better, so obviously, just hearing what
you just said your comment.

Speaker 1 (36:51):
You liked it.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
Man, Come on, man, these young players, rookies, you know,
living a dream being drafted, you know, to a you
know organization, playing football and having fun. Man, Stop reading
into all the bologney of what you know the players
are doing and how they're treating the game. It's all fun, man,

(37:17):
the young man having fun, understanding and knowing. Obviously, he's
been following the Philadelphia Eagles and seeing, you know, how
they how, what their fans are all about, some of
the worst in all of sports.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
And what do they do They boot yo, man, which
I think is perfect. But he understands and knows that. Listen,
I'm not going.

Speaker 4 (37:39):
To be playing against you guys, so I don't care
what you say about me. I'm in the AFC, you're
in the NFC. How many times are the any outlist
coach actually going to play the Philadelphia Eagles in Philly
and in his career, So man, kudos to him. Man
having fun. Listen, I've done it a few times myself.
They didn't like me when I still in the state.

(38:00):
They used to call me the Philly Buster exactly for
that reason. So I love it.

Speaker 1 (38:05):
I like it.

Speaker 4 (38:06):
Anthony Michison, keep doing your thing. I think he's going
to be I think I said it last week. He's
the most ready quarterback I think this season moving.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
Forward, and that's crazy.

Speaker 4 (38:22):
He's just going to continue to just get better as
a player, because I believe in ceiling is just that to.

Speaker 3 (38:29):
Say he's the most ready to play from the rookies
drafted like you from in the NFL, you got to
win from the pocket. Now he's the most ready if
we're gonna run the ball and just use athletic ability,
but thrown from the pocket. It's crazy that you say that.
I'm just telling you, you know he's completing I don't.
I may be wrong with this, but just in the preseason,

(38:49):
I believe it.

Speaker 4 (38:50):
Who has thrown for the most y'alls in the preseasons
this season?

Speaker 3 (38:55):
And again I don't know this off hand, no no, no, no, no, wait,
I'm assuming it's going to be Asturist, but I don't know.
Of course, the guaranteed he's played way more snaps than
all the other rookies as well as far as Ricky.
You know that this young man has passed for the
most re odds this preseason as of any other quarterback

(39:16):
drafted this year, and I believe that he will continue
to do that.

Speaker 1 (39:21):
You want to you want to make, you want to
make a wager.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
I'm just telling you, want to make a way he
will throw for more yards your brush.

Speaker 1 (39:31):
Young this year. Let's make a wager. We can do
whatever you want to do.

Speaker 3 (39:35):
Okay, Well, a viewers, him and LeVar still owe me
shoes from last year's wager.

Speaker 1 (39:43):
We're gonna make another word.

Speaker 3 (39:44):
We're gonna get back to this next week when we
have mister Arrington with Fox Sports Radio up on game
platform TJ. We appreciate y'all tuning in every week. We'll
be seeing y'all next week. Thank you. Enjoy your weekend.
