(01:09):
have kicked off Thursday, first game of the season Kansas
City Chiefs the Detroit Lions, And we're gonna take this
into two different directions. One, everybody is high on the Lions.
Can they handle expectations? Can they put them? I really

(01:29):
like Dan Campbell was a coach, But can they handle
what people expect of them this year? Can they compete
on prime time? You get a the first game of
the season against the defended Super Bowl champs. The Lions
had never been given this type of assignment in years,
but they are getting it. Do you think that they're

(01:51):
ready for it? They did not make the playoffs last year,
but they surprised a lot of people. You think they're
ready for this type of game and just being put
on this pedal store. Everybody's ready for the game until
the game starts. But you think they can handle it?
I think they can.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
I mean I think I think the Detroit Lions will
probably want to be one of the most improved teams
this year in the NFL. But I'm gonna tell you, man,
I am picking the Chicago Bears to win this division.
I really am. I think Justin Fields is he's he's
maturing as a quarterback. He's a lot He's better passing

(02:31):
than people will give him credit for and I just
feel that he's going to have one of these breakout
seasons and propel the Chicago Bears team to win the
division and get into the playoffs for a very long time.
I'm not taking anything away from from Detroit Lions everybody
saying that Jared Goffer is going to continue to have

(02:52):
to finish, you know, you know, to start the season
like he finished last year, when the last six or
seven games he's throw for forty two hundred yards. But
I think the extit of t J. Howkinson is really
going to hurt him. He obviously he was He just
got you know, one of the biggest contracts at at
tight end a few days ago, and you know, traps
Kelch is probably looking around like what about me? But

(03:14):
that's a whole nother story. But I think t J.
Hockinson leaving is going to hurt the detrount lines in
the passing game. I think he was a vital part of, uh,
you know, Jared's golf's success last year. For the Detroit
I think they're going to be better defensively, and I

(03:35):
think they are prepared, but they're running into a monster
on opening Day and I just don't think that they
will beat the Kansas City Chiefs right out of the gate,
especially you know, coming off with other world championship and
Patrick Mahomes just have his chip on his shoulder to
to propel this team into being a dynasty. And you know,
I think the Kansas City the Chiefs are the best

(03:56):
team in the NFL again this year. Will they win
it again? I believe so. It's just a tall It's
just a tall task for the Detroit Lions to come
out of the gate and to defeat of Kansas City
Chiefs on opening Day.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Man, that's a lot for me to unpack it. And
I'm gonna try now unpack it. I'm gonna try. And
what you just finished with is going that's that's the
That's the part that I'm going to really unpack. But
you did say that last week you thought the Bears
would win the division, and that that's interesting to me.

(04:32):
It can go anyway. I could see the Troit Lions
winning the division, no problem. I could also see the
Minnesota Vikings win in the division, and many will pick
them because they won it last year. They have the
best quarterback in the division, at least from what he's
accomplished up to this point best skilled guys in the division.

(04:54):
But I actually like what I've seen out of Jordan
Love in the preseason in the Green Bay Packers. He
hasn't had much pressure. He's been really accurate. But when
you look at this division, specifically the Detroit lines, they
have expectations on him for the first time in a

(05:15):
long time. Can they handle it? You just you never
know until you get out there. And when I was
a player, I always thought, man, every sea, we're gonna
be good this year. When I was since, we're gonna
be good this year. Oh, we're gonna be real good
this year. And then as soon as the season start,
you're in every game, and then one or two dumb

(05:38):
things happen, you're like, oh, game over, and then before
you know it, you look up, you two and seven,
two and eight. Now you don't even want to practice.
You start making your plans to go home. And so
that that's where the culture that Dan Campbell has created
will have to come into play, and I believe he's

(06:00):
started to change that culture. Last year, although they did
not make the playoffs, they had more success than they
had had in quite a while, at least since Jim
Calwell was there and can he change that culture you
speak of. They trade Hockinson in the division and now
didn't make Hockinson the highest payed tight in.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
The NFL history. Like they traded in the division. The
Detroit lines should be ashamed of themselves. They traded this
man in the division for the simple man of fact
that they didn't want to pay him.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
And that's what it is.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
That's what that's what the business would do to a
player that you have one of the best titles in football,
but you don't want to pay him, So do trade
them to a team in the vision because you don't
want to give them fifty million dollars.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Come on, man, that's Westo.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
That's one of the reasons why they won't make the
playoffs this year because stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Yeah, it's that. That's because you don't see that. We
can trade them. Hell no, we can trade them, but
I'm not trading them in the division where I got
to playing twice a year. Like what you draft him
in the first round and you're trading within the division.
So when I saw that happen, I said, oh, they
don't think too highly of old Hockinson. Well, obviously the

(07:16):
Minnesota Vikings think very highly of them, made him the
highest paid tight end ever, and so things like that.
That's concerning. Again, you are playing the Chiefs. You lose
game one, it's game one, But how is your confidence?
And speaking of the Chiefs and other things like number one,

(07:40):
I don't we've seen it happen. It's really really hard
to repeat in the NFL Super Bowl chain. It's really
really hard. You talk about parody this. That's why the
NFL is the best game in football, I mean the
best game in sports because each year you know this
team and everybody, oh yeah, the Chiefs are the favorite

(08:01):
to win it. They not gonna win it. Last year
the Bills were the favorite to win it. They ain't
win it. You just never know. And this is gonna
hurt the Chiefs. And I'm gonna stay true to this.
Let Chris Jones stay out till week eight, man, Let
Chris Jones not come and play for the Chiefs till

(08:22):
week eight. They gonna miss him so bad they gonna
give him a contract and say, just put in there
of the numbers you want, that's what's gonna happen. Like
you don't, Chris Jones is so important he's the second
most important player of the team behind Mahomes. If you
ask me, it's my Homes, then Chris Jones. And the

(08:44):
report was saying, oh, he wants Aaron Donald money. He
wants at least thirty million a year. And I read
this morning. Nah, he don't want Aaron Donald money. He
just wants something close. So Aaron Donald's at thirty one.
They saying Chris Jones will take twenty eight, but the
Chiefs are offering twenty four. And so if he holds out,

(09:07):
you watch these games, if you're a fan of football,
Chris Jones is single handedly really keeping the Chiefs in games.
He's single handedly dominating offensive line. He's single handedly paying
a one man recon crew on defense. They don't have him,
things are going to be extremely hard. And so if

(09:31):
he said I'm willing to sit out till week eight,
if he has the fold, which he may, because if
I'm the Kansas City Chiefs, I'm not going to risk
losing two or three games to say, oh, let me
pay him. Either I'm a paym or I'm not gonna
pay him. I don't get rid of Tyreek Hill and say, oh,

(09:52):
we got Chris Jones. Coming down, so we got to
sign him, and now you make him unhappy after you
lost Tyreek kill Patrick Mahomes underpay, as Kelsey's underpaid. We
talked about this last week as well. Sign your best
players and make him because even when he gets paid,
he gonna come back fill in a certain type of way.
He gonna play ball, but he gonna feel a certain

(10:13):
type of way about it. He gonna feel underappreciated even
if when they pay him. And so I just think
it's gonna be a problem. I don't see the Chiefs
repeating there's just too many good teams specifically, and that
I can name five teams right now in the AFC
that I say, oh, they could win it. The Bengals,
the Chiefs, the Bills, the Dolphins, the Chargers, the Jets,

(10:40):
like all those teams in my opinion, can win the
Super Bowl. And that's just that AFC. I don't see
the Chiefs getting back. They have too much going on.
Best defensive player is unhappy and they kick off next Thursday,
so he for sure ain't playing in Game one. You
haven't been in training camp, yeah, and practice yet put
your hamet on your show the Pets. You for sure
missing game one. Oh and the Lions want to run

(11:05):
that ball down your throat. Good luck with Chris Jones
number ninety five not the middle of that defense.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Yeah, it's gonna be an adjustment for Kansas City, definitely defense.
You know, I think that's one of the you know,
the things that's gonna be the underlying story for this
Kansas City Chiefs is. You know, Spags is gonna have
to make an adjustment as far as calling defense and
the defense that he wants to to to call because

(11:32):
they rely on getting pressure on the quarterback with Chris Jones,
and now your whole scheme, your whole scheme changes defensively.
So I think that's one of the things that's gonna
hurt him if they don't win the championship. But you know,
they gotta find a way to get this man back
on the football field. I don't know, if something just

(11:53):
tells me that Chris Jones has this attitude of listen,
if y'all ain't gonna pay me, I'm not gonna play.
And I just think that if they don't pay this man,
they won't see him this year. I just think that
he's going to take their stance of Listen, I see
y'all in the week eight if y'all don't want to
pay me. He's already came out and said, listen, I'm
willing to sacrifice a million dollars a week because I
can afford it. And when a grown man says that,

(12:16):
I gotta believe him. So I don't think this is
another can see the Chiefs are going to see him
till halfway to the halfway point of the.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Season, and if things don't start well for him, say
they don't win to get the Detroit Lions and the
run defense in the past, rush isn't what it was.
Now you're going to start getting rumblings about what is what.
They're not gonna cave after week one, and it's just

(12:47):
just so many dominoes that can fall to where you
can really as an organization start rubbing people the wrong way.
And the one you don't want to run rub the
wrong way is Patrick Mahomes because he knows he has
a team friendly deal. In this team friendly deal and
y'all not signing the guys that are gonna help us win.

(13:10):
So why am I on a team friendly deal and
y'all not using it?

Speaker 3 (13:15):
They getting ready to use it. They get ready to
use it on Travis Kelcey. That's who they get ready
to use it on.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
Listen and again, Travis Kelsey knows he's underpaid. But Travis
Kelsey being an offensive player, he can make a couple
million dollars a year off.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
Kelsey Man, you know how this league goes, TJ. He
doesn't have to negotiate full contract. They're gonna give it
to him. He doesn't have to.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
He's not gonna have to hold He ain't gonna have
to hold absolutely man his deal. When when Travis Kelsey
deals get done, we won't.

Speaker 3 (13:49):
Even hear about it. We'll just see it on television.
That is how this this league works. When they want
to play the players that they want to pay. Youravis
Kelsey's contract, when we hear about it, it's.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Going to be on television. Yeah, they have a lot
to figure out. But again, Thursday night, I'm really interested
to see seeing how the Detroit Lions they handle this.
That will be interesting. But when Dan Campbell was a
former player, they defensive coordinated. Aaron glenn is a former player.

(14:24):
They got a ton of former players as coaches on
that coaching staff. I believe they'll be ready to play,
but the expectations on them will be something different, something
they're not used to. Let's see what the Detroit Lions
can do, and let's see if the Chiefs are gonna
miss ninety five as much as I believe they will.

about Chris Jones hold now in the Detroit Lions. But
a guy who's not holding out, and this wouldn't be

(16:47):
if he did hold out. Everybody like, whoh, he's holding out.
He's entering the last year of his contract, final Nervis contract,
and you really don't hear much from him. You don't
see him do many interviews. You've just seen ball on Sunday.
Mike Evans with the Bucks. He wants to be paid.
And when you look at the top receivers in the game,

(17:09):
his name rarely get meant. His name doesn't get mentioned.
But when you look at the stats, his numbers is
right up there with the best of them. If you're
Mike Evans, how do you handle this situation? Oh Man?

Speaker 3 (17:26):
We talked about this earlier this week. Nine straight thousand
yard seasons. It's never been done in NFL history, ten
thousand yards and nine years. And I believe one of
the main reasons why he wants to exit Tampa Bay
because he's been through the guntlet of quarterbacks and he
knows what premium quarterback is and what it looks like.

(17:49):
James started with Jameis Winston. He had great seasons with Jamis,
continued his thousand yard streak of putting together, and then
he went to Tom Brady. It's it's hard to go
from Tom Brady to Baker.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
Mayfield, no disrespect, and I feel it's pain.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
Because he's looking at the situation of wait a minute
out of went from Tom Brady to uh to Baker
Mayfield and listen, he's one of the one of the
last of the Mohicans man six sixty five plus wide receivers.
And you know, we've been accustomed over the years to
watching these guys run around the five eighths of five

(18:35):
nine and six foot us, the little jitter buss, you know,
running all over the field. And he is truly, uh,
you know, one of my top favorite guys to watch
because he's keeping he's holding the torch of the big
wide receivers man and he divers. He deserves to be paid,
and he wants the opportunity to still win the champion

(18:56):
to win another championship.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
He's still in his Ryan if you ask me from
a production standpoint, and what he's able to bring to
the game and bring to his offense. And his agent
has came out and said that, you know, obviously we
want to they're shutting a deadline on when the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers from which they want to do what he

(19:19):
wants to be paid. I think that's a bad move
from the agent's part is trying to negotiate the contract
through the media. And it doesn't mean that Tampa Bay
Buccaneers have to do right by Mike Evans and granting
him or trade or sending them somewhere else or paying him.
Because if I'm tied Bowles in this organization, this is

(19:42):
when things get kind of you know, sketching, and then
the business part comes into it, because listen, I have
a I would assume that they have a lot of
respect for Mike Gimmons. He's respected league. Why he's a
he's a he's a he's a you know, he's carried
hisself with class and through throughout his nine years of

(20:03):
playing in his business. But I really just don't see
him going anywhere. I don't see the Tampa Bay Bucketeers
trading him. Why what they because he's one of the
last few pieces that they've had in this organization over
the last ten years. And I think he he you
know he when you walk into the locker room and
you you surround yourself running Mike Evans, he's one of

(20:25):
those guys that that is the glue to the locker
room and you don't want to lose that loser as
a team and as a head coach. But this is
when you know, I can see the Tampa Bay buckets. Listen,
We're not going to pay you and we're not gonna
trade you either because we don't have to and we
get start doing with a franchise tag if we don't
want to let you go. So this is when the

(20:48):
business part of the vent NFL comes in. It's unfortunate
for guys like a Mike Evans that wants to have
an opportunity to compete to win the World championship because
he knows. He knows right now Tampa Bay is not
want to be a very good football team moving forward.
He doesn't want to be a part of that. And
I don't blame him, why would you want to be?
But you know, I hope he gets the opportunity to

(21:11):
go somewhere else. We were talking about the opportunity of him.
You know, the Jets have all this cap space, twenty
million dollars in cap space. They could add a Mike
Evans or maybe even my New York Giants. I mean,
you add Mike Evans to the New York Giants offense
alongside of a Paris Camera and a Darren Waller and
a Saquon Barkling. Now we're talking about the championship aspirations

(21:34):
over here, even if he was an add to the
New York Jets because they have all this this cap space.
But for Mike Evans, I think that, you know, I
don't think the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to trade him.
Obviously he wants out because he's looking at his quarterback situation.
They're not going to be a very good football team
and for him moving forward, I just don't think that,

(21:58):
you know, they have a team that can compete for
a world championship, maybe winning the NFC South because it's
such a whack division. But for him, he's an elite
player and I want to I want I want to
continue to see him.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
Will he keep his streak of nine thousand yard season
intact this season? Will he will not? And once you
get the nine seasons, man, this is important for him.
He absolutely years in a row. It's never been done

(22:36):
that that right there.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
Will put you in the Hall of Fame by itself,
the first wide receiver in NFL history to put together
ten straight thousand yard season.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
That will put you in the Hall of Fame alone. Yeah,
it's gonna be if you're the Bucks. Right, you're the Bucks.
If he leaves and say you don't franchise him, just
say he leaves in free agency. Right, you're gonna get
a third round compensatory pick because of the type of
contract that he's gonna get. Kay. Yeah, So you're not

(23:08):
trading him for anything less than the third third round pickxels.
Will somebody offer a second, Will somebody offer a third
and a fourth or two thirds whatever it may be,
because you know, if you hold on to him, you're
at least gonna get a third round compensatory pick for
him and then the team thus trading for him. Are

(23:30):
you willing to meet the contract that he wants. There's
just so many things that go into it. Or is
it gonna be a one year rental type of thing
for Mike Evans? What you said was exactly right. You
start off with Jameis Winston or Jameis Winston is his quarterback,
and he's the first pick of the draft. But he's young,

(23:51):
he can really throw the ball. He's gonna make some mistakes,
but he can. He's a really good thrower of the
football and then you get break and you like, man,
this is what it's like Ikin to have one of
these type of dudes throwing me the ball. And now
that he's in camp with Baker and Kyle Trask, he's like, Nah,

(24:16):
they gonna really have to pay me to put up
with this or I won't out. And he's not saying
much about this, but the fact that this has come out,
and if you don't sign me by Friday, so next Friday, no,
I think it's Saturday, September ninth. I'm done. I'm done

(24:37):
a week from today, a week from today.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
And he's not the guy that's going to come out
in the media and be vocal about the situation. I mean,
if you just look at his production and what he's
been able to do, he's making thirteen million dollars a year.
And even if this tenth Bay Bucket is, don't give
him a new contract, and the franchised before tag is

(25:00):
nineteen million, so wild Why would you pay play for
less than twenty million? If you're Mike Evans, it doesn't
make sense. If the franchise tag is nineteen and I'm
making thirteen, we got a problem.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
Now that franchise tag may move if the Vikings signed
Justin Jefferson and that's something they're gonna have to do
something moving forward. I mean, Mike, Mike Evans is quite
like I said, when you rarely seem to interviews and
so when when you know you've earned it and they're
reluctant to give it to you, just like, damn, do

(25:34):
they really appreciating value what I'm bringing to the team.
And so a lot of times the things that you're doing,
it kind of gets taken for granted, it's underappreciated. But man,
this game of football, when you get our age, you
start waking up, You're like, ooh, what's that? And I
don't think people I don't think people realize, Like when

(25:57):
you get to the point where we are, there're just
certain days you wake up and you don't even know
why that's hurting. You don't know, it just hurts, and
it's just it'll hurt for about a week or two,
maybe a day or two, you just don't maybe a
month or two. And so those are the things that
you deal with. And it's being as big as Mike

(26:18):
Evans is playing a physical type of game that he plays, Man,
he wants to be rewarded for what's gonna happen in
about fifteen years, because it's coming. It's just a matter
of when it comes, but it's coming, and so hopefully
he can get his money. The Bucks better figure it out.
Treat one of your best players in franchise history as such,

(26:43):
and if you don't, the guy's coming up that will
see this, so forth and so on, and it'll just
be Now, Devin White, I've seen how y'all just treated
Mike Evans. I already know how y'all gonna treat me.
We'll see what happens. Hopefully the Bucks Mike Evans can
figure it out. Specifically, miss Evans, we gotta go to
mister dan Byer training fellas.

have the lead five point twenty one to go until
halftime and forty two points to Oklahoma is fourteen for Iowa.

(28:33):
Just kidding Iowa, Sam, But the Hawkeys do have fourteen
points and they're knocking on the door against Utah State
fourteen to three right now late in the first half
in the game that you can see on Fox Sports one.
One other update, do you want to pass along? Because
the top seeded tennis player at the US Open is
in action. Carlos Alcarez leads in his third round match
against Daniel Levians right now, up one set to eleven,

(28:55):
up four to two in the second set. So a
little bit of tennis to go along with a lot
of football. I'll throw this in guys too as well.
Unranked action. Purdue up on Fresdo State at halftime, twenty
one to seventeen. SMU up on l Tech twenty four
to nothing late in the first half.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
Guys, it's all yours. Hey, Dan brought up the US SOAPA, man,
I've been watching it. It's a lot of young talent
for the United States and tennis on both the men's
and women's side. It's been good to see the young
talent now because it's so many of them and I'm like, oh,
who is she? Oh who is he? And you hadn't

(29:32):
seen him, and so that part of it is in
like U Banks, big tall African American kid tennis. I'm
watching the tennis match. He just runs off the court
and then oh, he had to use a bathroom. I
was like, oh, okay, literally just point was over, just
ran off the court, came back like four minutes later.

(29:54):
Watching Cocoa Golf play Francis Tiafoh yeah, it's been good
to just see the new wave. And when I say young,
they're not young in the sense of age, because I
believe you Banks is twenty seven, Cocoa Golf is very young.
Believe she's nineteen. Tiafo played really well last year in
the US Up and making the finals before he lost.

(30:16):
I believe it was Alcaraz, But it's just a new wave.
It had been Federer, Yokovich and the Doll on the
men's side, and then the Williams sisters on the women's side.
Now it's a lot more parody. Just when he brought
it up, I'm like, yeah, I've been tuning in in that,
and he speaking, let's get back to college football. Who

(30:39):
are your heisman hopefuls again? Everybody else Caleb Williams she's
gonna win back to back Heisman Trophies, any dark courses,
anybody under the radar that you say, I like them
to have an opportunity or a chance to win it.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
Uh Man, I just Caleb Williams. Man, I mean, what
else can you say? I mean at this point is
just that's what everybody's talking about, and I can't even
think of another player right off the top of my head.

(31:18):
That is really you know, in the discussion of winding
them Husband Trophy, I think when you.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
Look at teams that may have a good season, for
the most part, outside of Devontae Smith a few years back,
the Heisman Trophy has pretty much been a quarterback award,
just like the MVP and the NFL is now a
quarterback award. You'd have to look at possibly JJ McCarthy
from Michigan. We assume they're gonna have a great year.

(31:49):
If they have a great year, the quarterback is gonna
get a ton of the credit. You look at Jay
down as at LSU. If they can win tomorrow, that
kind of puts him on the track of being a
Heisman quote unquote hopeful. And it's really the teams that
who from Georgia will will come out and be surprising.

(32:11):
Will it be the quarterback. Will it be the running back,
because we know George is gonna feature the run game,
but you'd always look at the quarterback and say, ah,
this team is doing well. He probably will be a candidate.
But I'm like you, if it's anybody, yeah, probably it's
gonna be Caleb. If it's anybody, I think we all

(32:32):
would say that he would have to be the prohibitive
favorite to win the Heisman Trophy.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
Again, yeah, I believe so, man. Uh you know, it
hasn't been done in a in a very long time since.
I believe what arch So I'm looking forward to seeing
and now that he is on my radar as being

(33:02):
the next great college you know, football player and and
and quarterback, I'm really gonna put my eyes on him
because I really didn't get the opportunity to watch him
a lot last year obviously because he's on the West coast.
What you know, this guy has my attention. I just
want to really sit down and watch him and see
how specially he is. I know you have a personal

(33:22):
relationship with him, and uh, you know, I just want
to continue to see this man growing and and and
and go win another Heman Heisman Trophy. But uh, you know,
unfortunately for him, you know, joining the Big Ten this year,
I just, you know, I'm kind of curious to see,

(33:43):
you know, how he is going to you know, play
against thee some of these Big Ten teams and some
of these defenses. So I think that's for the one
of the things that I'm curious about for him, you know,
going into this season. But I'm looking forward to watching
them play.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
It will be and so many guys, Jordan, Travis, Jade

Let's crank this up.

Speaker 2 (37:54):
Let's break it up down on game.

Speaker 8 (38:00):
That's all right, guys, as sign for up on game
down on game. I have five games here from today
and maybe later on this week. You guys will give
your thoughts here, starting off with number three, Ohio State
heading to Indiana to take ondy Hoosiers Ohio State's favored
by thirty and a half points in this game. In
the over under is at sixty. So what do you
got from me?

Speaker 1 (38:19):
TJ Man? Ohio State breaking in a new quarterback, but
they are Ohio State. I'm not gonna lie to you.
I do not like giving up that many points, but
this is college football. Man. When you're favored by that
many points, you normally cover for the most part, giver
take a game or two. So I'm gonna take Ohio State,

(38:42):
but I'm actually gonna go with the under. I don't
believe Indiana will score very many points. I say, Ohio
State forty two to seven. WHOA, well, Plex, You're right
who you got? Plex? Well, he has no idea who

(39:04):
he has.

Speaker 8 (39:06):
So I ed I'll take, I'll take. I'll do plexas
a bit here. I think I'll take Ohio State to
cover for sure, and I will actually take the over
because I think they're just gonna pour points on them.

Speaker 1 (39:19):
Plex. So when you got up on game down, on
game give me give it between one, give it tween
one more time so he can hear the points. Yea.

Speaker 8 (39:27):
Ohio State favored by thirty and a half points and
the over unders sixty.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
Wow, I'm going with the thirty and over one to sixty.

Speaker 8 (39:38):
See, just like I said. So, Tennessee State heads to
South Bend to take on number thirteen, Notre Dame and
Heisman hopeful Sam Hartman. Notre Dame's favored by forty eight
and a half points in this one, with the over
under at fifty five.

Speaker 3 (39:52):
I'm going under on the forty seven and under on
the fifty five. I don't think now, I don't think
Notre Dame is that expected as that explosive.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
Man, we completely disagree on this one. I'm gonna take
the points. Well, I'm gonna give up the points. I'm
gonna take Notre Dame with the points, and yeah, Notre
Dame's gonna score fifty points by themselves, so I'm gonna
take the over with the points as well.

Speaker 8 (40:17):
Okay, all right. Next one's an interesting day for my family.
My cousin graduated from Nevada and I go to USC
right now. So Nevada comes to LA to take on
number six USC. USC is favored by thirty eight and
the over under said sixty three and a half. And
I'm gonna say hammer the over on this one, man.

Speaker 1 (40:37):
You know what man, USC, They gonna score a lot
of points, So right away, I'm taking over the USC
probably gonna put up close to sixty themselves. I'm taking over,
and a part of me is saying USC, they gonna
easily beat Nevada about thirty eight points, but they let
San Jose State stand in the game like. It's something

(40:59):
about Alex Grinch and this defense that scares me. But
I'm gonna still. I guess I'm gonna take USC and
give give up the thirty eight points. But I'm not
so sorry. I just don't like the way they let
Santos a State score with the ease and that defense,
And it's something about an understanding they don't get because
they just give up points on defense at Sea with

(41:21):
Grant is according, I don't know what's going on.

Speaker 3 (41:23):
Not you going to get that? C? What you're going
to get? C. I can't believe it.

Speaker 1 (41:30):
No, Nah, I'm actually going with them, but I'm not
comfortable with it.

Speaker 3 (41:34):
Okay, I'm going over and over for USC.

Speaker 8 (41:38):
Oh both all right? Big college football game of the
weekend here, Number five LSU takes on number eight Florida State.
LSU is favored by just two points. In this game
with the over under said a fifty six and a half.

Speaker 3 (41:52):
I'm going over with the points for LSU. I think
LSU be full to state by at least two or
three touchdowns, so I'm going over on the points.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
I think it would be a defensive type of game.
I'm going to take LSU, give up the two points,
but I'm gonna go with the under.

Speaker 8 (42:08):
All right, last one here best for last. The Lions
had to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs. Chiefs
are favored by just six and a half points. Here
over under said, it's fifty four.

Speaker 1 (42:22):
Man man man, Let's say this, Chris Jones not in
the middle of the lines, want to run the ball.
I'm gonna take the Detroit lines to cover the six
and a half points, and I'm gonna go to under.
They're gonna ball control, try to run the clock when
limit the possessions of the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick mahone.
So I'm gonna take the Detroit Lions in the under.

Speaker 3 (42:42):
Uh, I gotta agree with you got to the Detroit
lines and the under, I'm going with.

Speaker 1 (42:47):
Wow, I am that was it. I didn't I didn't expect.
I did not expect that one. That was surprising. I
will say that took me by surprise. Fox Sports Radio
