that you disrespect them anyway, it didn't matter who it
was they was putting hands on you.
Speaker 5 (00:28):
And Blaxico Burress, they are the same person, the same
exact quarterback.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
It's a show with three.

(01:19):
Got my guys, t J. Hushman's out of Plexico Burst.
I'm LeVar Arrington. We're gonna stay with y'all for another hour.
This is an amazing football Saturday. College football, that is
high school football took place yesterday. A lot of exciting
things going on. We talked about earlier in the first show,
which you could check on the podcast if you did
(01:39):
miss it. Uh yeah, Elijah burst Is the real deal.
Might look as good, if not better than his daddy
did when he was in high school. Boyd tell you
he looked pretty polished.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
To me, Man, I wouldn't doubt it for that. Boy
so fast, it's crazy.
Speaker 6 (01:55):
I mean, he wan unless everybody else's.
Speaker 5 (01:58):
Yeah, fast and fastest high school in New Jersey and
New Jersey. You put it all together on the football feeling,
you know what you're doing. If you ain't just you know,
thinking and you just reacting, you know you know what
that is, it can be special.
Speaker 6 (02:12):
You know what's pretty interesting. The thing I find to
be pretty interesting at times is the fact that you
know you have parents that are are into teaching and preparing.
Because I was looking at last night's game and man,
man is finding this out very very quickly. You're getting
game plan now, yeah, you know, sometimes sometimes that's not
(02:35):
a reality. High school football is high school football, right,
And in getting game plans sometimes you got to understand
that having a great game doesn't mean that it's going
to show up in the stat line, especially as a defender,
you know what I mean. But doing what you're supposed
to do, doing it how you're supposed to do it,
when you're supposed to do it, those are the things
that matter most. And so it's kind of cool watching,
(02:57):
you know, how our kids play, seeing like I was
watching the way he blocked, like the way Elijah blocked,
and the way he was running his routes. He is
clearly going into the next phase of his career. I
not there dame as a more polished, a more developed player.
And what's the one thing that has turned into the
(03:18):
major thing for colleges is getting guys who are ready
to go, And that's why the transfer portal has become
such a big deal. But all three of us have
done so much with the communities and teaching our guys,
that the young guys how to do it, and showing
them the form and the techniques and going over it
and over and over it again. It's kind of cool
(03:39):
to see how the kids that actually belong to you,
how it translates with them as well. But there's some
personal stories for you at the top of the show.
Let's let's keep it personal to you, guys. Receivers ceedee Lamb.
He got that Lamb chop and I mean them as
some Lamb chops, boy, like the highest of the high
(04:02):
end Lamb shots. He gets his deal done. Now, it
happened earlier, but we didn't get an opportunity to talk
about it. He gets his deal done, and well, now
that the conversation has changed to Dak Prescott, now that
CD Lamb gets his deal done, do you guys feel
good about the deal? It's right there at where Justin
(04:23):
Jefferson is didn't didn't exceed him, but it is up there.
It's right there with him, especially with the guarantees. And
what's your opinions on that? What's your your reactions on that?
And then do you see this being a situation where
Dak Prescott is now in line to get a big
contract or how does this play out to do it
(04:45):
is all in with Dak Prescott, see how he does
this season, and then we go from there. In the
off season or maybe during the season if they're winning. Well,
how you guys see this plan out? For CD, it
was well deserved.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
He earned it.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
Once again. Cowboys get out in front of this. I
said this probably a couple weeks before the deal, that
I would give CD Lamb a four year, one hundred
and thirty six million dollar extension. Zack's exactly what he received.
I said it. And so for CD, all the hard
work you put in up until this point has earned
(05:22):
you that, and now you got to continue to play,
continue to improve so you can show.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
You worth that.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
But yeah, the Cowboys, I honestly really think that Jerry Jones,
he's doing these type of things, meaning, I'm not gonna
give you a conscious he wants everybody to be talking
about the Cowboys and what's going on and things of
that nature. That's all I can think of to the
reason why CD didn't have his deal.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
Earlier.
Speaker 4 (05:52):
He's probably gonna do the same thing with Micaeh on
the dock. Honestly, I think this is it for Dak
with the Cowboys. I think he's done. I don't see
Jerry Jones and the Cowboys giving Dak Prescott sixty million
a year. And if you are Dak Prescott, why would
you take anything less when you know there's possibly the
(06:14):
Raiders that will give you that, the Giants that may
give you that, maybe the Saints, who knows what happens
with car that will give you that. So there's a
few teams out there that need quarterbacks, specifically the Raiders
and the Giants if they don't have the season that
(06:36):
they think they're going to have. And so Dak Prescott
can just play this on out. And I don't know
if we've seen I'm going we don't see this happen
with quarterbacks. We really don't if you think about it.
We don't see this happen where there's a franchise quarterback
and he hits the market. We don't see that. We
(07:00):
don't see having to Lamar Jackson. Well, Lamar Jackson technically
wasn't a free agent. Lamar Jackson was franchised, and you
would have had to have given the Ravens compensation.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
I'm talking about.
Speaker 5 (07:13):
Put him on the market when they gave him a
non exclusive franchise tag.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
But teams knew they would have matched it in a
non exclusive you still got to give up first round
picks for that exclusive or non exclusive, you're still giving
up first round picks. Dak Prescott will be a free agent,
no compensation going to the Cowboys. We've never seen this
before with a quarterback that's technically in his prime, and
so that can get sixty million from somebody. If I'm
(07:40):
the Cowboys, unless you win a playoff game or two,
you gotta go.
Speaker 6 (07:46):
Dang, she's thinking.
Speaker 5 (07:49):
Listen, I don't know why it took the Cowboys just
long to you know, extend city Lamb.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
I mean, he's very deserving. Everything that he's.
Speaker 5 (07:57):
Done and put out there for this organization, for this team,
and the season that he had last year. We all
knew that this day was coming. I don't know why
it took this long to pay him because I mean,
he's earned every basically every every dime that he has
been paid. And getting back to the Dak Prescott conversation,
(08:18):
I just don't know where they go from here, because
just like you said, TJ, somebody's going to make Dak
Prescott the highest played paying all the football. It doesn't
matter what kind of season he has. To be honest
with you, if they go out and they win ten
eleven games, then us say to yourself, what that's what
we expected from the Dallas Cowboys before the season started.
(08:40):
We didn't expect them to win the NFC East because
everybody's picking the Philadelphia Eagles to win it. Nobody's picking
them to get to a conference game, and the damn sure,
I ain't picking them to go to the super Bowl.
So if he goes out and wins twelve ten, eleven,
twelve games, that's what we expect from the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
The quarterback market is what it is, But I just
don't know.
Speaker 5 (09:06):
Who's going to be the quarterback of this team. If
Dak Prescott is not under center next year for the Cowboys,
what do you do with For Jerry Jones? You just
signed Cede Lamb to this monster deal. You got Michael
coming up. Everybody and know that you're going to have
to pay this man because the proof is already in
the pudding.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
So are you going to You just don't know what
they're going to do.
Speaker 5 (09:30):
Jerry Jones and Dak Prescott in this organization, they are
in a very bad.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
Spot because I just don't believe.
Speaker 5 (09:40):
If you don't go out and get yourself or Josh
Allen or or make a trade for an elite veteran quarterback,
You're not going to get a better quarterback and that
than the current Jack Prescott that's on this that's on
this team right now.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
So I believe that he stays.
Speaker 5 (09:58):
Jared Jones may not want to pay this man sixty
million dollars of a year, but who's going to be
your quarterback?
Speaker 6 (10:05):
You know, to your point, plex, am I outlandish or
crazy for thinking the reason why they made that trade
for Trey Lance was the same exact thing of what
you're saying, Let's bring in a guy that would be
considered a high draft pick because this isn't a big
draft class for quarterbacks coming up this year. So if
you're looking at it from the standpoint of how can
(10:26):
we get the value of a high draft pick quarterback, well,
Trey Lance gets beat out by Brock Purty. That's It's
not necessarily a condemning of Trey Lance's career because we
didn't see enough of him for anybody to draw any
type of conclusion that the kid is not the top
draft pick potential that he was when he came out
to the Niners. So to me, I felt like they
(10:50):
made that trade with the idea of if they if
and who better?
Speaker 3 (10:54):
Right?
Speaker 6 (10:55):
If this is why you hired Mike McCarthy in the
first place, because they call him the the QB Whisper,
he's one of them. It leads them in Sean Payton.
If Mike McCarthy had the success he did with Aaron Rodgers,
that's why you brought him in, then why wouldn't you
give him the opportunity to develop Trey Lance while you're
getting to the end of Dak Prescott's contract. If Dak
(11:18):
wins the Super Bowl, pay him. If Dak doesn't have
the success that you're looking for, then you move on
from him. If he doesn't deliver that that that level
of success. Am I am I Outlanders for thinking that.
I don't know. Well, we're up against the break, but
maybe we won't get that question answered today. But I
don't think it was Outlanders. I think they really wanted
(11:39):
Trey Lance to be the guy that that replaced Dak Prescott.
That's t J. Hitchman's out of that's Plexico Burris. I'm
LeVar Arrington. We're gonna take a quick break on the
other side of the break. We're gonna talk a little
Heisman talk yeah, you know, it could involve two guys
that well really showed out in Thursday night's game, in
the Colorado game. All right, this Fox Sports Radio will

do here. On uh to on up on game. That's right. Uh,
fellas Heisman. I know it's always too early to say
(14:28):
who's going to win the Heisman in week one. It's
kind of crazy to talk about, but got to throw
it out there. Shador Sanders had a phenomenal game. Travis
Hunter had a phenomenal game. If you're going to be
up for the Heisman, one thing you can do in
week one is put down a put up a performance,
(14:51):
put it on on h on the books. That would
lend to the conversation, how well did they fear in
your estimation in terms of that opportunity of trying to
make it a successful Heisman run season.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
Oh, obviously the way they came out of the gates
the season just started, but they would be the Heisman
front runners because the performance that each of them had
puts them at the top of the food chain. But
we got to see, now what these other guys that
may have an opportunity. Okay, now let me insert myself
(15:31):
into this conversation. But the way Travis hunder played, the
way that Shader played, for sure, you would say they're
front runners. Worst case scenario, if you can just get
two finalists from the same team, that would be crazy
within itself of Colorado. Now will they have team success
or will they be coming from a team with a
(15:52):
losing record. You just don't know. There's so much between
a cup and the lip. There's so much football to
be played. But as of now, yes, they look like
front runner.
Speaker 5 (16:02):
I just said it earlier. Man, I can't remember a
more you know, dominant two way player. I have to
go back to Charles Wilson when he was at Michigan.
And you know, for Travis Hunter, if man, if he
just keeps going out there and doing what he's capable
of doing, and and the Colorado continues to to uh,
(16:25):
you know, to put him in positions where he can
just go be a natural football player. I believe that
he is the best player in college football. But I
got to say this guy number seven for Michigan and
running back, he is john a blank on his name
right now, but he is. Yeah, he's going to be
(16:48):
pretty good also. So it depends on if Michigan and
and and they can get that running game going like
they did last year with uh with the Black Carl
with with Blake Coorm. I think that he's a better
version of Blake Coorm, you know, in that offense and
the running game, if they can really get it going.
(17:08):
But for right now, if I have a candidate, who
is I think that's best player in college football has
to be Travis Hunter. All Right, you got Dylan Gabriel
at Oregon, you got Carson back to QB at at Georgia.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
I'm gonna get your dark horse. I'm gonna get your
dark horse right now. Me On from Tennessee dark Horse.
I'm that boy Cold, that boy Meeko from Tennessee Cold.
Speaker 6 (17:33):
I'm telling you Lama Leva right, Lama, I am Labelva Leva. Listen,
I'm curious defensive end James Pisce Jr.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
He's an animal too.
Speaker 6 (17:44):
Here's the reason why I'm throwing these other names out
at you, because that's Oregon, that's Georgia, that's Texas, Tennessee.
You talk about Will Howard at Ohio State.
Speaker 4 (17:54):
Jalen Milrose is on mill Row, your Texas place.
Speaker 6 (17:58):
Well, that's so what I'm saying saying is is does
the conversation does it just begin and end with how
you're playing? Because you can play well, but what if
your team isn't performing up to snuff. Now we've seen
players win that didn't have the best of teams, you know,
I mean, we saw Lamar Jackson win it. They weren't going,
(18:20):
you know, to the national title or whatever it may be.
But with that being said, do you think that even
if Colorado struggles, maybe only gets four to five wins
or six wins during the course of this season, is
it's still a legitimate opportunity for their performances to lead
to them getting the COT.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
For Travis Hunter, absolutely, because he plays on both sides
of the ball, shouldure he could probably make it to
New York. If if they only have five or six wins,
he won't win it. But Travis Hunter has an opportunity
because he's affecting the game on both sides.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
Of the ball.
Speaker 4 (18:59):
So if he can get he already has three receiver touchdowns.
If he can get to about ten and he get
four or five picks, oh, that's Heisman Trophy winner right now.
I don't care how well Colorado plays as a team.
If he can do that, that's Heisman Trophy winner.
Speaker 5 (19:15):
I agree with TJ one hundred because just just because
of the playing fact that he plays on both sides
of the football and having an impact on on both sides.
He may not be able to do it every weekend
because of the because of the amount of you know,
plays that he's going to be playing. Because if he
playing each snap on offense and defense, it may get
(19:37):
a little tiresome from him going going down to the
later stretch of the season. But just like TJ said, man,
if he can go out and dominate playing wide receiver
and playing cornerback, the beautiful thing about being a wide receiver.
When you put wide receiver on the defensive side of
the football, as a cornerback, you're seeing it. We've seen
(20:00):
the game from both sides, so he understands route combinations
what the offense cannon cannot do.
Speaker 3 (20:08):
So that allows him to gamble and to jump routes.
Speaker 5 (20:13):
Knowing what route combinations teams are running because it trusts me.
Everybody's basically doing the same thing. It hasn't changed. So
allows him to go out and be the natural athlete
that he is. And he can already if he kiss
his hands on the football. On the defensive side, playing
cornerback is a pick and he has great hands. And
(20:39):
I played against some cornerbacks who haven't had great hands.
Meant dre Bly and Losante, they got their hands on
the ball, it was gone, Hey, can he do both
in the league.
Speaker 4 (20:51):
We ain't talk about that Ken Travis Hunter play on
both sides in the league because we've seen Charles Woods
and Champa. We've seen guys do it in college. But
when I said, he's playing exclusively the whole game at receiver,
the entire game at dbie, can he do this in
the National Football League?
Speaker 6 (21:08):
That a team would do that in the National Football League?
Speaker 3 (21:11):
Why say?
Speaker 4 (21:12):
We say no because we've never seen it.
Speaker 6 (21:15):
But the game is gotten softer we haven't seen if
it's a time where a guy could go both ways,
it would be now. The thing about it, though, LeVar
is we see what he's doing offensively, we don't really
get to see defensively.
Speaker 4 (21:32):
How well he's playing. We don't. We don't see that.
But if you're watching film and you say, WHOA, he's
just as good defensively as he is offensively. Can he
play both sides of the ball in the National Football League?
That's the question I would say, I want. Charles Woodson
could have went both ways.
Speaker 6 (21:51):
DeLeon Sanders could have gone both ways, Charles Woodson could
have gone both champ Dion Charles, they could all win
both ways. And the Pros, here's the question that I
would ask to that question, is it fair? Is it
fair to that player to have to go both or
go both ways? I wouldn't say happen, which mean it's
(22:11):
something that he wants to do.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
I mean I don't think. I don't think.
Speaker 5 (22:14):
I don't think Prime is putting him in a situation
something that he doesn't want to do.
Speaker 6 (22:17):
Now, I think in college you can pull it off.
I think in the pros, is it fair in terms
of what that physical toll on your boy? You're talking
about way more games, You're you're talking about the level
of competition is just way higher. Would it even be
a fair deal to do that? Kid could have been
(22:38):
a pro, A Hall of Famer, on one side of
the ball versus the other and was only really kind
of like, uh, like I'll give you a great example,
Like I feel like Devin Hester got caught up into
you know, they couldn't figure if you use him as
a receiver. Tried right, They tried to play Devin Hanswer
as a receiver. They tried to play him that dB
(22:59):
he was best at a returner, and so that's what
they did. But if they would have just focused in
on him being a corner, if they would have just
focused in on him being a slot you're telling me
that a future Hall of Famer at what he did
wouldn't have been a master of one if that's what
he was doing. Like, I just it just makes me
wonder if you got to split your time, Like, think
(23:22):
about how much we talk about the detail of being
able to do just your one job and all of
the preparation that goes into all of the little minute
details that you guys are teaching. When you're teaching your position,
the minute details of what it takes to be a
cornerback and learning and understanding that position at the highest
(23:42):
level that you could play it at, I just would wonder,
are you a jack of all trades or are you
not a master you know at what it is that
you're doing, and how would that play a part, and
what his development would be and what his level of.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
Su development development.
Speaker 5 (23:56):
I believe that when you look at a guy like
travel Hunter and how gifted he is and how athletic
he is as a player, I don't really think there
are a lot of teaching points because you can just
put him out there on the football field and you know,
teach him coverages. I mean, he knows how to tackle,
he knows how to catch the football. I just believe
(24:18):
that he's so talented that you can just put him
out there on the football field, on the football field
play man and man and say, hey, man, follow this
man wherever he goes. I believe he's that good of
a player. And the crazy thing about it is what
TJ was just saying, how good he is on defense
is now being overshadowed.
Speaker 4 (24:38):
Because he catches three He catches three touchdowns in.
Speaker 5 (24:41):
A football game, and now everybody's saying he's a great
wide receiver. But on the defensive side he's just as talented.
But it just goes to show everybody loves touchdowns and
where you can go out there and put the ball
in the end zone. They're not even looking at him
now as being being the one of the best defensive
back of all of college football because he goes out
(25:04):
of scores three touchdowns with national television.
Speaker 4 (25:07):
Yeah, it's gonna be it's gonna be really interesting to
see in the league. It'd be tough. It'd be tough
just because of the amount of games, the wear and tear,
and let's just be honest. The top receiver in the
National Football League is making thirty five million. The top
(25:28):
dB International Football League is making twenty one. I think
I'm gonna go ahead, play that receiver POSI receiver man
at that. You know what we're gonna do.
Speaker 6 (25:37):
We're gonna play the tunes and we're gonna get our man,
Isaac Lohenkron in the mix. What you got going on
for us right now?
Speaker 7 (25:44):
I low in the world of sport, Lovar, I got
plenty of college football. Starting with number one Georgia. They
lead fourteenth rank Clemson six to nothing at halftime on
a pair of Peyton woodering field goals, the first from
thirty yards, the second from fifty five yards. Now, the
first full Saturday of college football means another new season
(26:06):
of one of the hallmarks of this great sport. That's right,
disgruntled fans complaining about their favorite teams on internet message boards,
and Clemson fans are doing a lot of.
Speaker 6 (26:17):
That right now.
Speaker 7 (26:18):
I had tip to the social media account message board
geniuses many people furious that they did not score a
point in the first half against the number one team
in the nation, including Palmetto's son who commented, gonna be

Speaker 6 (27:10):
There it made a horrible call.
Speaker 7 (27:11):
Meanwhile, Iowa at halftime, Iowa at halftime has a six

can you at least play a highlight of Penn State's

Speaker 6 (27:27):
There you go, Let's hear allur is getting into a
rhythm throwing a football on a line, drew back.
Speaker 3 (27:32):

Speaker 6 (28:13):
I told you, and two touchdowns in the first first half.
No first quarter, first first quarter. First, I take back
everything I guess.
Speaker 7 (28:22):
In Major League Baseball, Major League Baseball, the Athletics just
report of the Kansas City Royals claiming former Saint Louis
Cardinals outfielder Tommy fam On Waivers. Speaking of the Cardinals
right now, they trail at Yankee Stadium against the Yankees,
won nothing in the bottom of the second Fellas back
to you.
Speaker 6 (28:39):
Wow, appreciate that, Isaac Longcrawn. That is uh well, you did.
Speaker 4 (28:43):
Say, hey, they not playing They on Clemson's head. But
Clemson had opportunities. Now, I low they got a first
down there on a thirty yard line in the ref
called illegal formation when it looked like the god may
have been on the line. I'm sure he checked with
the ref if he didn't, Okay, that's the pill. So
I mean penalties are killing them because they wear in
field goal range. They get a first down, now they
(29:04):
have to get go back. And so I'm just saying
they playing the best team in the country. I actually
think Clemson is playing real good football right now.
Speaker 7 (29:14):
See, I agree with you. Yeah, that's that's reasonable. However,
the likes of Palmettow's son and Orange Crush twenty twenty
three might not be able to be convinced.
Speaker 4 (29:24):
Hey, just off day, just off They names right there.

know what we gotta do. We gotta do this.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
Not for some picks.
Speaker 4 (32:15):
Are you up on game?
Speaker 3 (32:16):
Let's break this up.
Speaker 4 (32:17):
Let's break it up.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
Down on game, get.
Speaker 6 (32:20):
Down, all right, it's zero zero for now. But bo
I shall be the man, the myth, the legend that
walks away with the Belts this year with up on games,
down on game. So TJ and Plexico get ready to
take this whoop and here we go.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
Let's go bo all right, just for a quick refreshion
for everybody, I'm gonna give the guys a slate of games,
football games, because that's right, it is football season. Thank
you lord. We're back, uh spread across college and pros.
We're gonna have the they're gonna pick the spread and
the totals. We're gonna kick it off with tomorrow's standalone game.
USC and LSU two programs and kind of a rebuild here,
(32:59):
a new phase in life. LSU is currently a four
point favorite. The total is sixty four and a half,
So LaVar will start with you sixty.
Speaker 6 (33:08):
Four and I have I'm going to take the under
on that one. Yeah, I'm gonna take Donda.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
All right, you gotta pick a winner here, Take LSU,
take LSU.
Speaker 4 (33:22):
I'm gonna go over and I'm going DOWNSU.
Speaker 3 (33:26):
Yeah, I'm going to the points. I don't think that
they will.
Speaker 5 (33:28):
LSU will give them that mini points defensively, and I'm
taking the points for LSU.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
All right.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
Perfect. Thursday, the NFL season kicks off, we have the
Baltimore Ravens heading to Kansas City to take on the
defending champion Chiefs. Chiefs just a three point home favorite
in this one point totals currently said it forty six
and a half.
Speaker 6 (33:47):
Forty six and a half. I'm going to take the
under on this forty six and a half. And as
far as the spread three points, I find it. This
is a you your game because it's a week one game.
I'm going to take Kansas City with the points.
Speaker 4 (34:09):
Go ahead, Plex, go ahead, Plex.
Speaker 3 (34:13):
Man, you know what. I believe that they they will
go over the points. What was the total points?
Speaker 2 (34:19):
Forty six and a half.
Speaker 3 (34:21):
Oh, forty six and a half.
Speaker 5 (34:22):
I'm going over on the points because I don't believe
that Baltimore got better defensively, especially with you losing Patrick
Queen no obig on offense. And so I'm taking the
over on the points that I'm taking to Kansas City
Tiefs by ten.
Speaker 4 (34:37):
I'm taking the over and I'm taking the Baltimore Ravens
to win the game, all right.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
Next up, the following day, the game that's been kind
of making headlines here, the Packers take on the Eagles
in South Paulo, Brazil. The Eagles are debuting a uniform
combo they've never worn, which is a devoid of green
as they are the home team.
Speaker 6 (34:58):
When to disrespect.
Speaker 2 (34:59):
Yeah, I don't know if you guys saw DeVante Smith
and A. J. Brown's comments a week but they do not.
They do not want to be playing down there. The
Eagles a three point favorite there. The point total is
currently said it forty eight and a half. Who the Packers.
Speaker 5 (35:16):
I'm going over on the points of Jordan Love introduces
himself as being an MVP candid this year for the
Green Bay Packers, and I'm taking green Bay for the
win and over on the points.
Speaker 4 (35:31):
Yeah, I'm gonna take the Green Bay Packers to win
the game.
Speaker 3 (35:34):
I'll go, h.
Speaker 4 (35:37):
I'll go under the points.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
Let's see.
Speaker 4 (35:40):
I don't know. It's tough and it's heart it's hard
when you know, first game of the season, but they
are playing in Brazil. It's a long trip and you
don't want to be there. I'm going under.
Speaker 6 (35:49):
I'm taking well, I'm going to take the I think
they're going to score. I'm gonna take the over on
the points. And what's the spread again?
Speaker 2 (36:00):
Eagles Eagles by three?
Speaker 6 (36:03):
Yeah, I'm gonna take that, all right, the Eagles couple.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
LaVar wins by default picking the Eagles.
Speaker 6 (36:07):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (36:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (36:09):
Last game.
Speaker 2 (36:10):
Here for up on game down on game the Marquee matchup.
Next week, you have a current number four Texas going
on the road into the Big House to take on
number nine Michigan Texas, currently a four point road favorite
in that one. The point total is it forty seven.
Speaker 6 (36:23):
And a half?
Speaker 4 (36:25):
Oh wow? They must think this is gonna be no
point score. This is college football, y'all know this ain't well.
I don't know looking at this Clemton, Georgia get but
I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go over the points. I
like Texas. I gotta see how Michigan is gonna be
without hardball Searan Moore and now the head coach, even
(36:46):
though he filled in some games last year. Texas may
have one of the top three rosters as far as
talent and college football.
Speaker 6 (36:57):
I'm taking over on the points. I think this is
going to be. They're gonna score some points in this one,
and ultimately, I think it's disrespectful to think that Michigan
is not going to be good. I know their offensive
line isn't the same, and they got a new head
coach and all those things. But I hate to say
this because I'm a big tenor and it sucks, but
(37:17):
they are Michigan and you're going into the big House
to play them in a hostile environment. I just don't
see Texas coming out in a Week one and going
in there and winning. So I'm gonna take Michigan on.
As for the win, man, listen, they will cover too.
Speaker 3 (37:32):
Bout it.
Speaker 5 (37:33):
If you ever think I'm ever gonna pick Michigan ever
win a game in your life and my life, and
you're dead wrong. I don't care if they are playing
the North Hill Indians. I would never pick the University
of Michigan win a football game. So I'm going to
Texas and I'm going over on the points. Hook them,
beat them, whatever they do that, hook them on. Go Texas.
Speaker 6 (37:59):
I would you there, go Texas. I am with you there,
all right?
Speaker 1 (38:04):
Is that it?
Speaker 6 (38:04):
That's all we got? Lifts? All right? Okay, So let's
let's wrap up the show real quickly. Uh what are
you most looking forward to this first opening weekend of
college ball?
Speaker 5 (38:18):
Go ahead, pleas, you got it, You got it, you
got it, man. I'm just looking for great competition. I'm
looking for good competition. Man, I really I'm really excited
about this this Florida Miami game. Hey, there will be
some pre game shenanigans going on before the game. Plus
it's just always is because when you have these kids
that that have played interstate rivals in high school, and
(38:42):
guys go to Florida State, guys go to Michigan, guys
go to go to the Swamp, it's going to be
it's going to be great competition.
Speaker 6 (38:49):
Man.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
I think that this game right here is what I'm
looking forward to the most. And I'm picking the Florida
Gators the upset the Miami Hurricane.
Speaker 6 (38:57):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (38:58):
Yeah, Florida. Florida needs to They need to kind of
turn it around. The Florida Gators that we grew up
watching that we some of y'all played against. This is
not them Florida Gators. They've been bad the last couple
of years. They need to turn it around. But I
just want to see good football games, man, good competition
where you don't know who's gonna win. They may come
(39:20):
down to the last drive, the last couple of drives.
That that's what I'm looking forward to. But Florida has
not been good. Miami, they they got a lot of
players because of the NIL. Well, the NL guy, I
guess is filing bankrupt. So we'll see how many more
players than whether those players stare leave. And if all,
let me ask you a question, didn't you catch some
(39:40):
of that Freddy Taylor down?
Speaker 3 (39:41):
Then it's such as both.
Speaker 6 (39:44):
Well, I was actually the only one on the field
that could tackle fred Man. For what is worth, if
we go back to the film, I'm literally the only
one that actually was willing to tackle him when they
put me in in reserve duty at defensive end. That's right,
people have they played defensive end my freshman year in
college just so I could get on the field and
(40:04):
I was a part of Fred Taylor setting a record.
Jonas Knox is up next to The Jonas Knox Show.
We Love y'all Man. Fox Sports Radio is
