It's gold timey.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Hey, Cuff's got that intro like it coming down to

Speaker 3 (01:43):
It's that.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
Man? You know how?

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Man, everything is beautiful. Man, I hope we had to
get you on.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Man.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
The NBA season has started a lot of difference storylines.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
But you know what, I want to get to go.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
We just get right to it, man. We want to
talk about your and TJ. Los Angeles Lakers balling and
the fast thought that they have, you know what, And
I just I just want to say this, man.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
I really just wanted to be honest with you guys.
I really believe.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
That the Los Angeles Lakers have gotten off to the
start that they have, which nobody for us saw them,
you know, coming into the year. Obviously Lucas balling, he's
lost all the weight. AAR fifteen was coming out to
Gate averaging thirty. Nobody saw that. But I believe that
they are playing the kind of basketball right now because

(02:44):
Lebron James is absent from the basketball floor. I really
believe that, And that's the main reason why the Lakers
are playing as good as they are right now, because
everybody is playing together. They are playing their unselfish brand
of genuine basketball together and this is why the Lakers

(03:08):
are have gotten off to the start they that that
they're having Now. So what happens when Lebron comes back,
I believe it takes the ball out of a off
fifteen's hands.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
He's not going to be the player that he is now.
Everybody's going to.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
Get less shots, and you go, are You're going to
start to see the demise of the Los Angeles Lakers
moving forward in the Western Conference when Lebron James returns.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Hey, Plasico, Plasico. I know Lebron James hater when I
see it, so I can hear the sodium. I can
hear the salt in the sodium in that take right there.
So I'm gonna tell you why when Lebron James comes
back with low carb Luca, who, by the way, in
the first five games of the season, he scored more

(03:57):
points than than pretty much anybody the history other than
Will Chamberlain. Two hundred points the first five games Lakers
seven and two. When Lebron comes back, you see what
a R is doing, Rui DeAndre Ayden aka DeAndre al
sender I told you what was gonna happen when DeAndre

(04:17):
Aydon finally got with a real point guard like Luca.
Lebron James is going to come back into this mix
with these Showtime Lakers, and he's going to play the
easiest back of all of his career.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Showtime, really, Showtime.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Showtime is back, TJ. You can you explain to Pacigo
birds that show Time is back at.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
La though, see that this is the thing. Man. It
looks like we back where we belong and where we
need to be. And these guys any sport, they don't
like it. They they see what we're doing out with Lebron,
and oh, when Lebron comes back, man, it's gonna ruin
all the chemistry because he needs the ball. That they

(05:00):
said that last year and it was perfectly fine and
what happened last year, TJ. We're a better version of
what we were last year. That's all it is. We're
a better version. Lebron is a great player physically and mentally.
You know, that he understands the game, and so he's
gonna fit in seamlessly with what we got going on.

(05:21):
We are role players, are being role players, and our
stars are playing like stars. He is going to fit
right in it. This is the best any team is
played without Lebron in his career. That's wow. Why say that?
Say that part? Say it again, This is the best
any team has played without Lebron. And so now when

(05:44):
he comes back, he's not gonna have to carry the load.
He's just gonna do his part. He's just gonna do
what's needed. We all know what lebronca do. He's gonna
do his part and he is going to be ball
downing it.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
That is the part that he is going to bring
to this team once he comes back.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
And you, I and Cuffs knows this.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
I think I think they're gonna I think all jokes aside.
I think they're gonna use Lebron more in the pick
and roll action as a screener. So you're gonna see
him as a screener. No, it sounds funny, but you're
gonna see Lebron in that short row now right in
the middle of the court, getting that that that that
pocket pass and when teams try to play zong on

(06:27):
the Lakers, Lebron's gonna use his i Q. You're getting
the All NBA player All NBA last season. I know
some people have select them at easy when it comes
to Lebron James sometimes, but he was top ten in
the world just last year, and he's had some time
to recharge. You know, he's doing hot yoga. You know,
he and in hyperbaric chamber when he comes back. I

(06:49):
look at it as the Lakers are getting a bonus,
but they're getting an All NBA guy to go along
with AAR. And I think Lebron at this stage of
his career, because I've spoken to him about this, he
wants to pass the keys. He wants this situation where
lucat Ar can give you twenty five. AAR is your
second option right now with Lebron on the bench, and

(07:11):
he's given you thirty plus a night. Lucas averaging almost
forty five points a game right now, so Lebron can
come back and he can be on cruise control. I
feel like, because look at DeAndre Ayton, that's the guy
we got to look at here. They got him practically
for free. They got him for free from Portland, and

(07:33):
he's given you that production that he gave the Phoenix
Suns when they went to the finals. Like he's outplayed
when Biyama. You saw the other night, he outplayed go
Bet twice. He's outplayed every big man he's fay so far,
and it's the Laker Nation has got to be feeling good.
Jake la Rabia is a major upgrade from Torrian Prince

(07:53):
and those other wings that they had on the team
the last couple of years. So I just feel like
JJ Reddick is really putting his stamp on the Lakers
culture right now. And we're gonna see We're going to
see the Lakers probably in the top four, and then
Luca's going to be the MVP. I feel like.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
The MVP of what. Come on, leave this dude here, man. Yeah, well,
what's wrong with y'all?

Speaker 4 (08:17):
Man, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all drinking the kool aid a
little too much to say, what nine ten games into
the season that Luca Doncins is going to be the
MVP of the league. Come on, man, that's just a stretch.
And the fact that you just said DeAndre aight and
went out and he paid out played Wemby about about

(08:40):
what he had twenty two points, ten rebounds.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Winby had nineteen eight and three.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
I really don't call that being out played, But if
that's what you want to, you.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Know, say that he did.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
He had rebounds, and we want I don't agree with uh.
And they play the same position, yeah they do. And
so Wimby plays the five spot?

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Yeah? What else he plays? What powerful? He plays everything?
But he's a center. All right, Hey, all right, cus man,
I want to ask you a question.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
Man.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
Uh, you know, I'm hit a lot of rumblings, you know,
out of Dallas, obviously my guy and your guy the
saga off string ak uh day day Dramond Green Camick
came out and said that you have to be careful
about Cooper Flag and his position and him playing the
point guard. You know how you feel about him moving forward?

Speaker 1 (09:37):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (09:38):
Is he playing out a position or do you believe
that that that the Dallas Mavericks came into the season
with the plan for him to be the most productive
as the year is playing the point guard instead of
playing them at his true position.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
I kind of hate the situation that Cooper Flag is in, right, now, yeah,
because he's been thrust into that point guard role and
he's done relatively fine, but that's not his natural position.
Cooper Flagg is a wing. He wanted to get out
and run. He should be coming off ten downs in
the mid range. He should be more of like somebody
should be setting the table for him and let him

(10:16):
play up tip on style ball. But I think the
MAVs are off to a disastrous start because they just
don't have a point guard man. And D'Angelo Russell is
not an answer. As we've seen once again, you will
not fool me d LO. Like he's had a couple
buffle games here and there, with a couple of high game,
high assist totals here and there, but it's inconsistent with

(10:38):
d Loo all the time. And Clay Thompson, I hate
to say it, my life skinned brother in Christ, but
I think Clay he might be medium washed man. He
might not be all the way washed. But Clay Thompson
megan the Stallion feel like she's zapped all the powers.

(10:58):
He had said itself, I don't know. Quote the other day, Clay,
if you're pulling up, if we can get eye over
the pool, playtops a quote, he's sitting in my legs
or not under me. So we all know what that means.
Making the stallion is look at this man so like

(11:21):
they're all to a terrible start. And I'm thinking about
it the other day. Let me ask you all this.
I was thinking about this as I'm saying Luca flourish
with the Lakers. I had an epiphany watching the game
the other night. There's no way that Niko Harrison was
the person that made the call the tray Luca. I
feel like he's he is being made up, escaped.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
Yeah, there's no, no, no, no. So so, so who
you think was responsible for the trade? Somebody above Nko?
And who? And who? And who? Who is the only
person above Nko?

Speaker 3 (12:00):
It's the ownership group man Mark Cuban.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
No Mark, No, Mark Cuban is no longer the owner.
I mean so he was last year. He wasn't the
owner last year? Wouldn't this place? No, No, I don't
believe that.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
I believe that Nico was one hundred percent in charge
of trading Luca.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
I really believed that. And so if he wasn't, then
well why don't somebody come out and say that? Because
you remember it was like Miriam Addle, San Patrick Dumont.
It was they like Vegas people, Casino people. Nah.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
I believe Nico made the trade because he was disappointed
in the results that they had in the playoffs a
year prior to him being traded. I really believe that.
And everybody was called what. First of all, you can't
have more than nickname. His nickname was the matter door
when he was in Dallas because he wasn't playing the defense.

(13:05):
Now cuffs want to call him low carb Luca.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
You can't have two nicknames.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
You gotta stick with one. So I believe the rumblings
of him.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
We were just saying a year and a half, two
years ago that myself, Tim hard Piece, my man Tim
Hardaway included that Luca was the worst transitional defensive player
in the league.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
And he was hearing it.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
The organizations was hearing what everybody said, out of shape,
couldn't guard, couldn't play them, couldn't couldn't guard him perimeter,
wasn't playing defense. And so when they had the performance
that they had the playoffs, Nico trading them. I noticed
exactly what I understand. That's exactly what happened. If y'all
want to believe that Nico wasn't in charge of this trade.

(13:56):
Then I don't know, I don't know. I don't know
what else to say, because Nika was one hundred percent
in charge of this trade.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
Luca one hey cuffs trade Luca, and now I like
where we're at. Let me let me ask you this
before we before we take this break and offseason. You know,
much was made about Drian Finney Smith. We didn't resign him.
What are the Lakers doing? Rob Polinka flipped that to
Laivia DeAndre Ayton Marcus Smart. That looks like a great

(14:29):
job now, but back then, when we didn't resign Drian
Finny Smith, everybody was concerned. Rob Polinka has really done
a great job in rebuilding this team, man, Rob.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
Polinka, I will say he has done her. He has
done a masterful job. For those that watch ACC basketball
in the last couple of years, Jaclaravia was really good
at way far as his team was kind of mediocre
in the ACC, so they didn't get a lot of
like national spotlight games other than maybe Duke and You
and the game. Jake Laravia can really play, and what

(15:03):
you're seeing with Jake Laravia is somebody who was kind
of like he had to tone down his offensive tool
box because he's been forcing to like more of a
role player role. But if you go back and watch
his college tape, he was very good as an iso scorer.
Like you've seen the saufts the last couple of games,
he's dunking on guys with the left hands, like he
reminds me a little bit of a Mike Miller when

(15:24):
Mike Miller was the young Mike Miller, where he was
like a six to eight guy, long arms to shoot
the three, handle the ball, put the ball on the floor,
make play for others. It's been a seamless fit, and
I love the market smart fit because there was a
lot of questions whether if he was washed or not
the last couple of years when he was in with
the Wizards last year, when he was with the Grizzlies
before that, people were saying maybe he lost his step

(15:46):
or two. But when I watched these Laker games, I'm
seeing the guy sacrifice in his body. He's on the floor,
he's energizing the crypto arena crowd. Like I'm loving what
I'm seeing from marcut Smart being pretty much like the Rondo.
Rememberno came over and he was the Mark enemy from
the Celtics, like market Smart has become like a fan

(16:08):
favorite now and who would have thought market Smart, one
of the most hated Celtics, is now a Laker, pretty
much a Laker let and you keep playing like this
and they win a championship this year.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
Hey man, I gotta be honest with you, man, I'm
a fan of market Smart, and I believe that anybody
that knows and understands basketball, even if you're a Laker
fan or not, none of them are are Celtics fans.
But market Smart man is a real basketball player. So

(16:40):
it doesn't matter. You can stick home on any team
in the league and it's an automatic upgrade for him
from a defensive standpoint leadership and for a guy that's
gonna go out on the basketball court every night and
give you maximum effort. So Mark for market Smart doesn't
matter when you put him that, He's gonna be a

(17:01):
fan favorite basically anywhere, because if you love basketball, you
gotta love the way that Marcus Smarter proaches the game.
And then when the way that he plays the game
every single.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
Night and it doesn't show up in the box score
like what he does from like a hustle standpoint diamond
from fifty to fifty loose balls. It doesn't always show
up in the box score. But before we go to break,
another guy that's giving it, giving it everything right now
is Russell Westbrook. A lot of people need to apologize

(17:33):
to Russ right now. He's hooping right now, the Sacramento.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
Triple double. Russ the best ring bounding guard in the
history of the league. That's what he said. That's what
he said. I heard it when he said it. Yeah,
So yeah, man, we we got to take a break.

me he had a lot to say about what the

(21:02):
Mavericks have Wolcome listen, listen to what Dirk saying and
we'll we'll talk about that afterwards.

Speaker 6 (21:08):
Yeah, I feel bad for my mass fans. This has
been a disastrous start. Obviously, there's a whole point guard
and playmaking position. We knew that that home wasn't filled
this summer, so there's a whole in shot creating, there's
a whole in shop making. We've said coming into the
season that health is big for them. Obviously CORI's Kyrie

(21:30):
is out for a couple more months, but you know
you need a be healthy lively, you need healthy and
both of those guys have already been out for a while.
Gafflin Smith's some games. So it's been just a disaster start.
They're actually on a pace to have a record bad start.
On offense, they can't shoot, they can make place it's

(21:52):
all kind of going side to side, east and west handoffs.
It's just nobody can make shots. It's been it's been
tough to watch.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Man listening to Dirk. The MAVs are cooked. I mean,
they have a point guard in D'Angelo Russell. They just
not playing them. They got Cooper Flag trying to run it,
move him off the point guard. Put Delo on the
start line that maybe things would change. But Dirk the
Whiskey is acting like the MAVs are done in the
first ten games of the season. Huh.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
They just got to put together a package. The mass
had to put put because everybody, everybody, uh, everybody's ky
Bob is eligible right now to be deactivated except for
Cooper Flag. So the Mas had to put together a package.
Maybe throw in PJ. Washington. You got to trade one
of these centers, Daniel Gafford or Derek Lovely. I like that.

(22:42):
No young here from Duke, but I'm saying you're gonna
have to go out here and you're gonna have to
use these guys as trade chips. You might want to
hop on a zoom call with the Chicago Bulls about
Kobe White because look at Josh Giddy. He's emerged as
the go to leaders of the Bulls. Now he has
the most triple doubles in Chicago Bulls history since Michael Jordan.

(23:05):
This is Josh Giddy's Bulls. Like I said last week
on this show, the Bulls are riding high right now.
So maybe they might want to part ways and get
some more asset for Kobe White. That can bring you
some shot making and play making a guy that average
over twenty plus last year. You know, if he gets healthy,
Kyrie gets healthy, Anthony Markshawn Davis Junior gets healthy, you

(23:27):
whether this storm. Don't right now, Dallas fan, That's all
I'm saying. Don't panic right now. You got a lot
of basketball left. If Ady can get back healthy, you
can win some games. The Western Conference is going to
be kind of fluid all year long, I feel like,
but Klay Thompson is definitely going to be on the
trading block. The more of the story, I think, play Thompson,

(23:50):
we might seek. Play go to Philly they need some shooting.
We might seek play go to the Orlando Magic, they
need some additional shooting. Even the LA Lakers corner, you know,
maybe gave Vincent maybe a draft picker to Maxie Cueber,
you can go back to Dallas.

Speaker 4 (24:10):
I mean, yeah, y'all thinks a lot of a lot
of the frustration that Doug Davinski got out in an
interview was he didn't agree with the Lucal Donsons trade
from the door. So I just think that when you
look at the Dallas Mavericks on paper coming into the season, uh,
even without Kyrie, you're saying to yourself that they are

(24:34):
contender in the Western Conference, no doubt about it. It's
not like that they haven't got off to a disaster started.
It's just like you said, they need to find a
way to hold the ships together until Kyrie ever can
get back over.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
Maybe you can make a trade that point guard.

Speaker 4 (24:50):
I think we just referenced that earlier, that that Cooper
flag is playing out of position, and I think everybody's
recognizing that. But I think that some of his frustration
is just with the team trading away Luca. Not more
so looking forward what the Dallas matterage are being going

(25:11):
to be able to compete in the Western Conference, Because
I think when the season, when it gets close to
the end of the season, I believe that the Dallas
Mavericks will be right there somewhere in the playoff hunt.
And if they can't get they get back one hundred
percent healthy after the All Star break, they're going to
be a problem.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
But pleasure you're talking about get back healthy, right, Kyrie
has an injury history. We know a d has an
injury history. Getting back healthy isn't like a foregone conclusion
because you're talking they two best players have the history
of always being injured.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
We know that.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
I mean, we definitely know that.

Speaker 4 (25:53):
You know, Kyrie obviously hasn't been able to stay healthy,
and everybody knows that the history of Anthony Davis, you know,
not being there when the team needs him most. But
hypothetically speaking, I'm just saying that if they can get
all of these guys on the floor at the same time,
you can put them in the top three or four

(26:17):
basketball teams in the Western Conference.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
But you have to be able to get Cooper to
his position.

Speaker 4 (26:24):
I don't really believe that they need stellar point guard
play until Kyrie Irving gets back.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
They just have to get a true point guard in
there right now.

Speaker 4 (26:36):
To basically salvage of the rest of this NBA seasons
because they can't continue to play and move forward with
Cooper Flag playing out a position and playing a point
guard in the Western Conference.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
If they want to be taken.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
Seriously, look if you look at the standards in the West.
I mean, the mass are sitting at the bottom at
two and seven, but they're only a game or game
and a half back. You got the l a Toenail
Clippers sitting at three or five. The Clippers look like
a bag of fossils out there. I mean, my guy,
Chris Paul, I love you, Carolina. It's time to go home.

(27:14):
Fer Lennard is Look Kawhi Lennard is stealing chick. Nicholas
Batoum is stealing chick. Brook Lopez is stealing checks. Everybody
on the Clippers is stilling. Jack kylu stealing check. Look
at this, Look at the teams. Look at the teams
that are above Dallas. You got the Pelicans. They're trying
to have a liquidation sale. We will take Herb Jones.

(27:37):
By the way, Laker Nation wants Herb Jones. So if
you want to give Jose Alvarado away the Clips, the
Pelicans have no direction. The Utah Jazz just lost Walker
Kessler for the season, even though Laurie Marketing is having
an All Star year. They're going nowhere. So the Dallas
Maveris should have some hope because those are the teams
above them in the West. The Sacramento keeams are not

(27:59):
going in anywhere. The Memphis Grizzley are not going anywhere.
We see what was going on with with Memphis.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
Because because it's funny, every team is above the Mavericks
in the West, right, I mean it's it's early though.
Every team that Yeah, the MAVs are literally the last
place team in the West, and they had championship aspirations.
I mean have not We have yet to play ten games.

(28:27):
Only team that has played ten games in the Western
Conference the thunder God to State Wars, Memphis Gridley's only
teams that played ten games. But the MAVs are in
the basement. I'm not talking. They at the bottom of
the basement. And so they may be some teams maybe
moving some guys. When you have championship aspirations and you

(28:51):
ain't even in the club, you ain't you you in
the park a lot, You ain't even in line yet.
Bob the feeders man, you know what we do need
to be fed? We hallo, we got updates for Isaac
Low and crime. What you got?

Speaker 1 (29:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (29:09):
Thanks?

Speaker 2 (29:10):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (29:10):
Cuffs?

Speaker 3 (29:12):
Hallo. We're moving up bumpy today on this beautiful Hey.

Speaker 5 (29:17):
I don't know what that means. I don't know what
that means, but we're doing it.

Speaker 4 (29:19):
Baby.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
What are you throwing on the grill today?

Speaker 5 (29:22):
I actually it's a different kind of deal at our house. Uh.
We're making banana slash peanut butter slash chocolate bread for dinner.
I would save some, not for dinner, sorry, for dessert.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Excuse me, mat Yeah, okay, I would.

Speaker 5 (29:43):
Save some for you and maybe t J and Plex,
but my kids will devour it all within five minutes.
Nothing like having two hours of work gone in five minutes,
you know what I mean. But it's good, it's it's
good to talk to you, my friend. Let's catch everybody up.
In the college football scoreboard, Number two Indiana and Levar's

(30:04):
Penn State Nitney Lions were tied at seven with two
thirty one left in the second quarter, but then Indiana
kicked a field goal for a ten to seven lead.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
Marm mcno.

Speaker 5 (30:14):
Penn State lost to fumble MA mcno and Indiana's Kaylin
Black scored on a one yard touchdown run mar mcno
so with nine seconds left in the second quarter. It's
the Hoosiers seventeen and Penn State seven. Mississippi State had
a seven to three lead over fifth ranked Georgia, but
then Georgia's Chauncey Bowen scored on a four yard touchdown run,

(30:37):
followed by this from Scott Howard on WRFC. He'll throw
it this time.

Speaker 7 (30:41):
Tight end caught it the eight nine yard line on
the right side to Oscar delp He's in the in
zone front right corner pylon. He caught it at the
eighth tight roped it into the end zone. Took a
tumble there, but it's a touchdown for Georgia.

Speaker 5 (30:54):
So earlier, when Mississippi State was leading Georgia seven to three,
we read some tweets from complaining Georgia fans. Now here
are some new tweets from complaining Mississippi State fans, courtesy
of the social media account messageboard geniuses at Thatch eighty three,
posting quote, bleep this whole team at buy you bully

(31:15):
comment to quote just a team full of losers unquote
how quickly apparently things change in college football? A thrank
Texas Tech up thirteen to nothing at halftime over number
seven BYU. However, moments ago, Texas Tech had a fourth
and goal at the BYU two with three seconds to play,
with the Coopers broke up the Red Raiders pass in

(31:35):
the end zone going at a halftime and Purdue is
just taking a three to nothing lead over number one
Ohio State with two and a half left to play
in the first quarter. Guys, back to you, kut, I'll text.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
You later, aid, Hey, Yo, appreciate you. Yeah, go ahead,
appreciate you. Hey. You know what I want to ask
Scuffs real quick, man? What is going on with your
boy John Moran?

Speaker 3 (32:03):
Man, that's a that's a that's a that's a multiple
layer question, but I mean layer answer I can give you.
But I just think John Morant just has to get
more emotional intelligence. And I don't know exactly who he
has around him on a day to day on his
day to day operations, but that circle he needs to
get in this he needs to get that circle a
little smaller. And that's let's really focus on being one

(32:28):
of the top five point guards in the world. Because
there there was a time maybe two years ago where
we were putting him in the conversation with Alan Irison,
with Russell Westbrook, with Derek Road. We were putting him
in those conversations because we saw the electrifying athleticism, the
three sixty layups, the windmill dumps, like he was jumping

(32:48):
over people, so like kids are being expired. You see
him with the Night signature shoes now with Nike, So
I just feel like I just want to see him
get away from like the negativity and even then the
attitude towards the media sometimes that I know the media
can have different angles sometimes in these locker rooms with
these players, but like, man, block out all the noise.

(33:10):
I would say that to him as a coach, like, man,
let's walk in because your talent outweighs all of this. Man,
Let's give the people the show.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
John Moran, is he a grizzly by the end of
the season.

Speaker 3 (33:23):
I think he loves the city and the city loves him.
Similar to like the Alan Irison and Philadelphia thing. And
y'all should watch the documentary by the way, on that
Flix if you haven't seen it. Amazingly done by Shack
and Steph Curry and those guys. But I think a
change of scenery could be rather splendid for Josh. I

(33:43):
know Miami would sound like a city full of distractions
for him, but I think the discipline and that culture
of the Miami he could You could you see John
Morant with like those veteran man to keep him isolated,
gotta keep him away from the traction. We gotta keep him,
you know, he gotta. We got to keep him on

(34:05):
star out and keep him away from the distractions. But
from a basketball standpoint, I would also love to see
John Morant if it ever happens with Anthony Edwards in Minnesota.
There's no distractions in Minnesota. He's just playing basketball. There's
nothing but basketball and snow, you know what I'm saying,
So like I would. Can you can you imagine that

(34:27):
from like being a thirteen year old kid watching Anthony
Edwards and John Morant share the same backcourse, that the
dreams are made of a fan.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
They give up? Who do they give up to get me?
Rob Dinniham, I'm sure would be in it. Who else
who they giving up?

Speaker 3 (34:44):
Terrence Shannon, probably throw in Deevin Chinzo. I mean, if
you want Rudy Gobert, you can have Rudy man Rudy's
snowing down the Timberwolves. Anyway, I feel like so I would,
I feel like they should offload Rudy Gobert any given
chance they can they get because you see Julius Randall,
the Dallas, the Dallas, the Dallas bull like you see him.

(35:05):
He's he's bodying guys. He's getting back to being the
aggressive Julius Randall. So you got you got that kandom
with him and a man. So imagine playing off the
ball a little more and just being able to post up,
play out of the post, and John Morant getting in
the paint, breaking down the defense. Like all right, I
think those Joe, those John Morant jeergys would sell like

(35:26):
hot cakes in Minnesota.

Speaker 4 (35:29):
Man, Man, so many you know nb A, you know
headlines this week, Man, we had obviously you know my
gut a sagon off strict with Draymond Green calling Dak
Prescott a bomb. Then he goes on and he says
that Zion is not a leader. I got KG the kid,

(35:50):
my man, Kevin Gardner in Peace Square, Paul Piers.

Speaker 2 (35:53):
Riding my man MB and.

Speaker 4 (35:58):
Beyonnest Man the thirty three eighteen eight, whatever the case
may be, you're talking about Luca being maybe the MVP.
Nobody's talking about Joannis and the mill and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
And where does.

Speaker 4 (36:14):
Trey Young end up a man, because I believe that
his tenure in Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
Is coming to a head soon.

Speaker 4 (36:23):
Man, So where does Trey Young end up if the
if the Atlanta Hawks are able to trade him.

Speaker 3 (36:31):
I'm glad you brought up Yannis because I had him
on my list of things I wanted to talk about.
Because Jannis his numbers right now, they look like lottery numbers, man,
Like he's putting up those monsters. He's averaging thirty plus
a game. He's over sixty percent right now like any
other year. This is automatic MVP right for anybody else
with these numbers. By the way, whoever had to vote

(36:54):
for MVP this year with Yokic and Luca and Jannis
and SGA and Josh Giddy and Tyree mag got a
tough job. But I could see Trey Young possibly running
that pick and roll with You're honest, But the question
is who wants to live in Milwaukee? Man, It's gonna
be hard to get guys right to come there.

Speaker 4 (37:16):
Doesn't winning you would think super sed like where you're
going to play at.

Speaker 2 (37:23):
Does anybody does anybody live by that? You know that
creed anymore? Nah?

Speaker 3 (37:30):
That's a you know, that's that's our era. The nineties.
We eighties babies were from the eighties and nineties era
like that. That these this new generation man there you
see how it is in the transfer portal right now.
Everybody and jumping, so it's crazy. But before, let me
say this last thing about the East and Foxes though,
or be remissive, I don't talk about Kate Cuneham and

(37:51):
and the twarp Piston right now, who are sitting on
top of the East. Right now, nobody's talking about De
Troy basketball. The bad Boys are back to say A
Stewart aka b ste You see, they don't even have
Jaden Hobby or Tobias Harris right now, and they're getting
it done off. Sir Thompson, the Thompson twin is playing well.

(38:14):
Duncan Robinson's come over from the Rymi providing the shooting,
Ron Holling and stepping up. He's having the second year
lead like Jalen durn is looking like he's looking like
Dwight Howard Orlando Magic. Dwight Howard. Look at the numbers.
Just look at the numbers that duo with Kate, with
Kate Cunningham and Dyalen Durham right now absolutely dominating the East.

(38:36):
And I would say, right now, going out on the limb,
Kate Cunningham is the best point guard in the East
right now.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
Right Detroit. Detroit had a nice run in the playoffs,
so it's not a surprise, but we got to take
a break. But before we do. Bluechoo isn't just a tablet.

back to up on Game. That's plexical Burr's Cuffs of Legend.
I'm Tjhuschmann Zada and we gonna do what we do best. Well,
let me take that back, what I do best?

Speaker 3 (40:03):
Time for some picks.

Speaker 1 (40:05):
Are you up on game?

Speaker 3 (40:06):
Let's break this up.

Speaker 2 (40:07):
Let's break it up. Tell that game.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
Real quick.

Speaker 8 (40:13):
Last week, TJ went two and four, but we're gonna
double that because you did pick the Dodgers to win
the World Series.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
Oh, I can't do that. That's cheating.

Speaker 5 (40:20):
No, that's fine. I make the rules, plaques.

Speaker 8 (40:22):
I make the rules here.

Speaker 4 (40:23):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (40:25):
Hey, if you're plaques.

Speaker 8 (40:26):
If you're not careful, I might have signed Cuffs score
to you because Cuffs went one and five.

Speaker 2 (40:30):
Oh oh no, you can keep that gut. TJ.

Speaker 8 (40:35):
You went three and three, but you did pick the
Dodgers to win, and you picked the over, so you get.

Speaker 2 (40:40):
Fight away the week. Last week, the prior week when
we were all here, I went five to one when
you were involved, just so you know, five and one,
just so you know, man, that's old lousy. Let's go,
let's go.

Speaker 8 (40:51):
We're gonna start this week the Falcons in Germany with
the Colts. The Colts a six and a half point favorite,
the total forty and a half. We're gonna be rapid
fire here, guys. TJ will start with you.

Speaker 2 (41:02):
I like the Falcons to cover, coach to win, and
I'm gonna take the over.

Speaker 4 (41:07):
Man.

Speaker 2 (41:07):
I'm going with Michael Pennicks junior man.

Speaker 4 (41:10):
He's uh, he's on the ride right now, him, Drake London,
b Jon Robinson. So I'm taking the over and I'm
taking the Falcons to win the game.

Speaker 3 (41:20):
I'm gonna take the coach to cover, the coat to win. Alright.
I don't trust Michael n indeed, MP people over the do.

Speaker 1 (41:28):
Red all right.

Speaker 5 (41:31):
Next up the Lakers in Atlanta.

Speaker 8 (41:34):
This is Luca's first time back since he scored seventy
three there, So the Lakers a four and a half
point favorite.

Speaker 5 (41:39):
The total is two twenty eight and a half.

Speaker 2 (41:42):
I'm gonna take the half. Okay, I'm taking the over
Red Yard. He who I'm going with. I'm going with
the man. I'm taking over to eight and a half.
Two twenty eight is nothing. The Caps scored one hundred
and forty eight points last week, and I'm taking the
Atlanta Atlanta Hawks.

Speaker 3 (42:00):
I'm taking Luca Lemon Pepper Luca to night. I'm gonna
pack the hunder though it's not gonna be that many points.
The let's gonna win tonight.

Speaker 8 (42:07):
I'm last game, the the Eagles in green Bay to
take on the Packers. Packers one and a half point
favorite total forty five and a half.

Speaker 4 (42:16):
I'm taking Jordan Love gotta bounce back from last week. Man,
he's an elite quarterback. He has to play beat ups.
So I'm taking green Bay with the points in the win.

Speaker 2 (42:25):
This is a tough one. I'm gonna take green Bay. Also,
I'm gonna go under on the points. But this this
can go either way.

Speaker 3 (42:31):
I'm gonna take the under on the point. Then I'm
gonna take that Eagle to win.

Speaker 5 (42:40):
All right.

Speaker 8 (42:40):
That's a game.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
Game that finishes up on game down on game that
also finishes our show Mexico Birds Cup The Legend. I'm TJ.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
