the no show is where you can find me. We
are broadcasting live from the Fox Sports Radio studios. Lots
to get into, of course, you know me. Lots of
(01:06):
ball on the brain. We'll be talking football extensively tonight.
Lots to get into, but we start with hoops as
the Knicks. The Knicks got Game five on Thursday night.
They force a Game six, which listen. If you're a
Pacers fan, you don't love But if you are a
basketball fan, you gotta love this because we have sports
(01:29):
to watch this weekend. If you look at the playoffs
here in the NHL and the NBA, we wouldn't have
anything going on this weekend. If the Pacers won Game
five the NHL Conference Finals, they're over. They're done with
Florida Panthers, moving on. Edmonton Oilers. They finished dismantling their
(01:49):
foe over there, the Dallas Stars, So Edmonton moving on.
So that's wrapped up the other side of the NBA
playoffs in the Western Conference, OKAC already polished off the
t Wolves and a gentleman's sweep, So if the Pacers
won Game five, we'd have a whole lot of nothing
going on in terms of the playoffs this weekend. So
(02:10):
we've got Knicks Pacers Game six on Saturday. The story
of Game five, few couple of bullet points here. First
one is the Knicks. They played great defense. They held
the Pacers to only ninety four points on forty percent shooting.
And the way the Pacers have scored in this series
(02:31):
throughout the pace that they play at just fast tempo
they're hard to defend, so give the Knicks credit. They
played some really solid defense on Thursday night. Karl Anthony Towns,
it always makes me laugh when you'll hear these comments
after the game, but Kat was right. Karl Anthony Towns said, Hey,
we just came out with energy and we're the first
ones to throw a punch. That's exactly what happened. He's
(02:54):
right about that. I just don't understand these teams. And
you'll hear some sound here pretty soon the game. They're like, yeah,
we just we didn't play as hard as they did.
And I'm just how is that a thing? How? How
is that ever a thing? It's just the playoffs, you know.
They just competed harder than us. They just wanted it
(03:14):
more than us. I don't know how any athlete can
say that at the end of a game, but you'll
hear a pacer say that in a few minutes. First off,
let me bang on Tyrese Haliburton just for a little
bit over here. So give the Knicks credit. First off,
heavy focus on Tyrese pressured him all night, made life miserable.
(03:35):
But on the heels of justin epic Game four performance,
he was unbelievable. Tyrese Haliburton in Game four, not Thursday night,
not the game tonight, but the game before tonight. It's
Game four. Thirty two points, fifteen assists, twelve rebounds, five
made three pointers, zero turnovers. Was it the first ever
(03:59):
playoff performance? A thirty point triple double with zero turnovers?
He's the first guy to do it in NBA playoff history.
How does he follow it up? What does he do
for an encore on Thursday Night? Well, that would be
eight points on two of seven shooting, with six assists
and two rebounds. Didn't make a three all night long.
(04:23):
This is why a lot of people think and say
that Tyrese Haliburton is overrated. Now I don't subscribe to that,
but I can understand why someone else would and why
they think and say those things. What you saw in
Game four was the complete opposite of what you saw
in Game five, and the lack of consistency is what's
(04:48):
driving the overrated bus in terms of people saying those
things against Tyrese Halliburton. You've got to be productive. If
you're a star, you've got to find a way to
be productive and impact each game, and he just doesn't
it's he's a little bit like the Boston Celtics as
a whole, because listen, from a sports gambling standpoint, the
(05:13):
Celtics and Tyreese Halliburton can be difficult to gamble on
because they're both talented enough to make you look like
an idiot if you fade them. But they are both
inconsistent enough where they can make you look like a
dufus if you back them. And so it's a mixed
bag when it comes to those teams, the Celtics collectively
(05:34):
and Tyreese Halliburton, because they're just so talented. On a
certain night you could just marvel at them, like Wow,
look at this show, and then the next performance you're like,
what is happening right now? And Thursday night was one
of those what is happening right now performances from Tyreese Halliburton.
To compare Game four to Game five, So tonight he
(05:57):
had twenty four less points, points, nine fewer assists, ten
fewer rebounds. The less fewer thing always confuses me, So
you're gonna have to have some grace with me. I
don't know which one to use, but less all across
the board. Let's less less, fewer fewer viewer. Whichever is
the right one. You can't have you can't be minus
twenty four in points, minus nine in assists, minus ten
(06:21):
in rebounds. Intonight's game compared to your game four numbers.
It's night and day. And that's the one thing I'll
give Jason Tatum a lot of credit. Think of the
Boston Celtics superstar that was the series right before, Like
the Knicks are playing the Pacers right now in the
Eastern Conference Finals, in the season prior they were facing
(06:44):
the Celtics in the second round, and before Tatum went
down with the achilles injury, which is brutal, before he
went down, Jason Tatum, Yeah, he might have a quieter evening,
he might have a lesser game, but his stat line
isn't gonna be eight points, six assists, two rebounds. It's
(07:05):
he's gonna be much more productive than that. And that's
the difference between a player on Tatum's level. We're talking
about healthy Tatum, not currently injured Tatum, not rehabbing Tatum,
right healthy Tatum. That's a big difference between healthy Tatum
and Tyrese Haliburton. Because Tatum, he's not going to have
(07:25):
a playoff stat line of eight six and two. He's
certainly not gonna have eight six and two on the
heels of thirty two, fifteen, and twelve. Like, he just
doesn't do it. He puts up much more consistent numbers
than Tyrese Haliburton. And that's the other thing too, Even
if you gave Haliburton the benefit of the doubt on
Thursday night and said accurate things like, man, the Knicks
(07:49):
really focused on to him, he just went off in
Game four. They paid attention to him. They pressured him
all night, they sent different bodies at him. You know,
they played with force. All of the really think they
do against Jason Tatum. Tatum puts up some monster stat lines,
and they do all of those same things, and Tatum
yet will still put up more numbers than eight six
(08:10):
and two. So there's no benefit of the doubt that
Haliburton deserves for a Game five dud. And that's why
some people call him overrated. And I know it's it's
a cool slogan now like Puma came out with his
logo and everybody's wearing the T shirts over there that
cheer for the Indiana Pacers. But Game five is an
(08:34):
example and It fuels all of those criticisms of Tyrese Haliburton.
You can't just disappear in a close out type situation,
and he did. You gotta call it like it is,
and he just he disappeared something else that was wild.
It was a little bit of deja vu on Thursday
(08:55):
with a completely different outcome. So first the deja vu part,
the Knicks led Game one right, first game of the
series against the Pacers. They led Game one by fourteen
points with two minutes and forty five seconds remaining. That
was the same exact situation Thursday night in Game five,
the same thing. You literally, the Knicks led by fourteen
(09:18):
points with two forty five remaining. Now the major difference.
The Knicks won tonight by seventeen points. Somehow, the Knicks
lost Game one outright. When you have a fourteen point
lead with two minutes and forty five seconds remaining, that
(09:39):
should be a w every single freaking time. It was
an easy win on Thursday night in Game five. Somehow,
some way, it was a loss in Game one, which
is astounding, and that's still a loss that the Knicks
are chasing in this series. That's why they're still going
to be facing elimination in game six. Is that they
(10:00):
kicked away game one. And look, I understand, you gotta
give the Pacers some credit where you had Nie Smith
just go nuclear, just bombing three after three after three,
he caught fire. But you still can't. It's gotta be
a w every single time. I don't care if Nie
Smith catches fire, whoever catches fire. You can't miss free throws.
(10:21):
Can't you know, have a silly turnover or a mental
lapse here or that you can't do any of those
things that open the door so ever so slightly for
the Pacers, And they kicked it through that cannot It
still blows my mind that the Knicks somehow lost Game one.
It was the same scenario on Thursday. I'm watching it
(10:44):
and I'm like, holy cow, they're winning by fourteen points
with two forty five remaining. It's like burned into my
brain now. It's almost like the Patriots beating the Falcons
in the Super Bowl, where twenty eight to three is
just burned in your forehead forever. Now, you know, the
Knicks leading by fourteen points with under three minutes to go.
Somehow that was a loss in Game one. Somehow they
(11:06):
won Game five by seventeen points. How can that be?
How can you win one game by seventeen and lose
the other game out right? I don't know. Somehow we're here.
That blows my mind. The other thing that blows my mind.
This is why I was alluding to earlier. Pascal Siakam,
who's had a really strong series and has made his
(11:28):
presence known throughout, had a monster game earlier on. We
scored almost forty points right around there in Game two.
Everything runs together now, but now after Game five, Pacers
lost the game. They never led throughout the entire night.
This is what Pascal Siakam had to say in the
postgame press conference. They played harder than us.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
I think I think they played harder than us.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
You know, on news balls, like rebounds, like all of that.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
We gotta be able to win that battle.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
I agree with them, but it blows my mind that
a player can say that at the end of a game.
How can that be? Listen, I love basketball. I love
the NBA. I understand it's not everybody's cup of tea.
That's fine. I love it. I always have, and I
don't want to turn it into like an NBA versus
(12:20):
NHL thing. A lot of people love to do that.
I'm really not that guy. You can love both. I
love the NBA playoffs. I dabble with the NHL playoffs,
but I can recognize how great the NHL playoffs are.
You don't have to pick one and just talk trash
about the other. You can enjoy both. I don't know
why people act as if you can't just enjoy both,
(12:40):
but whatever. So I'm not the one that like pits
one against the other. But I will say this, even
though I'm not that guy to bang that drum, this
is not an NHL thing. Have you ever heard an
NHL player after a playoff game say, yeah, they just
kind of wanted it more than us. Yeah, I just
(13:02):
you know, the loose pucks, the fifty to fifty situations,
they just they got everything. They just out hustled us.
We just we didn't bring the energy they I've never
heard that. But the NBA, as much as I love it,
you will have games this happened. Okay, see just one
in a Gentleman's sweep over Minnesota. It crushed them throughout,
(13:26):
but they lost Game three by what forty two points
and SGA at the end of the game he was
just like, yeah, you know, we just didn't bring it
from an energy and a focused standpoint. Just yeah, didn't
have that either of those things. And I'm sitting there like,
how how.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
Is that that.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
I know they're a young team, they're immature at times.
You have a two zero lead, you can explain it,
but it still baffles me. Where yeah, you could even
explain it with the Pacers to a degree. Where the
Pacers are the ones with a three to one lead,
maybe they feel like, all right, we don't have the
same sense of urgency. We've got game picks at home
in our back pocket, the Knicks. This is it do
(14:08):
or die. So yeah, you can explain it to a degree.
But just like Siakam said right there, they played harder
than us. How can anyone outplay how can anyone just
out effort you? It blows my mind. I never will
understand that, Like, yeah, we just didn't have the energy tonight.
We just you know, they they outworked us all night long.
(14:31):
But but you will hear that. Man, It's crazy to me.
But I'll tell you what. The Pacers have a secret
weapon for game six that they did not have for
game five. You know who that is? That is John Halliburton.
That's right, Tyrese Haliburton's dad was not in the garden.
He was not in the building for game five. Tyrese Haliburton,
(14:53):
DoD performance. You go back to game four, John Halliburton
in the building, huh, in the building over there at
gamebridge Field House, watching his son dismantle the Knicks. So
Papa Halle will be there for game six in Indy.
That is the good luck charm, that is the kryptonite
(15:14):
for the Knicks right there. They have to compete against
the Pacers and John Halliburton. It does give me an
excuse to play maybe my favorite audio of all time.
This goes back to like John Halliburton, he couldn't attend
any Pacer games at home since the Bucks series because
he went out on the floor and he was talking
smack to Jannis. This is what he said afterwards. This
(15:37):
is like a follow up interview with John Halliburton in
his own words, what was going on as he stood
in front of Jannis saying things seem to be talking
trash is what he said to TMJ four.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
It might have seemed like I was looking at him,
but I really will I were looking through him.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
That is my favorite just excuse slash description of all time.
I was looking through them. No, I wasn't talking trash
to them. I was just looking through the guy. I
still I love that he said that with a straight face.
It's amazing. I want that excuse to work for me sometime.
(16:15):
You know, if I get caught looking at an Instagram
booty model, I could just say, no, no, I wasn't
looking at her. I was looking through her booty, is
what I was doing. That's all I was doing. Can
you imagine if that excuse actually flew. That was amazing
piece of audio. But anyway, John Helliburton, not at Game five,
We'll be at Game six. We'll see how it shakes out.
We have sports to watch this weekend. Huh. That's good,
(16:37):
very nice. We got a lot to do. Like I said,
phones are always open. Love being interactive with you guys.
Whenever I fill in for Big Ben, I will be
doing a Big Ben impression coming up next. You can
look forward to that. It's either an impression or a
blatant ripoff. I'm not sure which it's gonna be, but
(16:59):
we'll see how it lands. You know, it's sports radio.
We just roll with it. And you guys determine what
it ends up being. You know, coming up next. Something
pretty crazy has happened in the NFL in each of
the past ten seasons, but will it happen again this year.
It's a great stat and I'm gonna blab about it
for at least fifteen minutes straight unless someone calls in.
(17:21):
That's basically what's gonna happen. I'm probably no in for
Big Ben malor keep it locked right here on Fox
Sports Radio. Oh what is going on? I hope you're
enjoying your early morning hours over here. We are broadcasting
live from the Fox Sports Radio studios. Here more than
welcome to chime in eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox.
(17:42):
I'm gonna blab for a few minutes. I'll get to
the calls here. I'm not gonna lie. I'm gonna blab
for more than a few minutes, but then I'll get
the calls. I've got an NFL topic in front of me.
I can't help myself, Okay, So seth Wickersham. I hear
some people say Wickersham. I don't know if it's Wickersham
or Wickersham. It looks like sham to me. I'm gonna
(18:04):
go with Sham whatever. His name is, Seth. He has
a new book coming out in September. It's about quarterbacks,
but some excerpts of the book have been released. They
were released a couple of weeks ago, and one of
the juicy details is that Bear's quarterback Caleb Williams initially
did not want to be Bears quarterback Caleb Williams. Okay,
(18:29):
so this came out a couple of weeks ago. You
might remember. Some of the bullet points were Caleb's dad,
Carl Williams. He wasn't a fan of his son playing
for the Bears. He said, Chicago is the place quarterbacks
go to die. And according to Wickersham Wickersham, Wickersham, wicker whatever,
he says that Carl Williams also met with lawyers and
(18:52):
agents to look for a way around the NFL draft.
This is how much they were anti Bears, not feeling
the shit Cago Bears. They even considered. He was trying
to find out if his son could sign with the
UFL team. That's right, the United Football League. He's like,
can my son sign with a UFL team and then
(19:13):
become an unrestricted NFL free agent? In twenty twenty five
and then be able to pick whatever team. Can we do?
Speaker 3 (19:19):
That?
Speaker 2 (19:19):
Is that a thing? That's Those are the steps they
were taking to try to avoid the Bears. In the end,
Caleb Williams didn't want to force his way out of
Chicago or whatever, talk all the trash in the world
about Chicago, or play this game of I'm not going
to play there and basically force his way out, make
(19:40):
it so untenable where the Bears are just like, yeah,
we're just not gonna select this guy. So Williams said
he didn't want to do that, and he quote wasn't
ready to nuke the city basically playing that game. So
that's the backdrop why you might already know all of this.
Why am I restating it? Well, we've got new information
(20:02):
over here. Caleb Williams, Bears quarterback on Wednesday this week.
He attempted to clear the air, or shift the focus,
or change the narrative or all of the above. It's
kind of what he was doing over here. So this
is the happy spin on all of those details that
(20:25):
are in Seth Wickersham's book that's going to be out
in September. This is what Caleb Williams does to kind
of put a happy face on everything that was out there.
Speaker 4 (20:35):
Check it out, and I want to come here and
you know, be the guy and be a part and
be a reason on why you know, Chicago Bears turned
this thing around. So that last thing that was said
and all of that, I think was the most important
thing is that I wanted to be here. But I
love being here. I love my teammates, you know, I
love all the people that that got me here. Family friends, Ryan, Kevin,
(20:58):
you know, Fluce and Sane, all those guys that you
know went through all of that process with me to
get me here. But it was a it was a
you know, all those things like I said, with thoughts,
but the main goal and the main objective of being
here is to turn around us why I was selected
number one.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
Okay, So that is man. That is a very very
ultra positive spin on the things that emerged from that book.
So I love that he says, you know that last
thing that that was the real important thing that I
want to be here in Chicago. You know, all those
other details about I don't know, me trying to avoid
the Bears and seeing if I could sign with a
(21:38):
UFL team. No, that's not the most important thing. The
most important thing is I eventually wanted to be in
Chicago after not wanting to be in Chicago whatsoever initially. Like,
that's not the most important thing. That's just that's a
funny spin to me that that would be like this.
That would be like, let's say you're a single guy
(21:59):
and you're out and about and there are a lot
of females around, and just picture of these females, like
the NFL type thing with with Caleb Williams. You know,
Caleb Williams is looking around like, oh man, I'd love
to go to the Minnesota Vikings, right bears. That'd be
like you as a single guy, all these girls are around,
(22:21):
You're like, wow, look at the hot blonde man. Who
oh look at the redhead over that.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
Nice. And then you're like, look at that lagoon creature
over there. And then somehow you end up with the
lagoon creature. And now you're trying to spin it like duh,
I was interested the whole time. What do you mean?
What do you mean? No, Like, the most important thing
is that I wanted to be with the lagoon creature.
I'm with the lagoon creature. We're making it happen, baby,
(22:50):
That's what we're doing right now. That's what he's trying
to do is spin this as if this was the
oneed destination the whole time, when we know it wasn't.
This is just a be spin on everything the other
thing is. And I guess this is where I'll do
my Big Ben impression.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
Right.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
I can't do it nearly as well as Big Ben.
I haven't even practiced, so it's gonna suck. I'm just
let's lower the expectations. Let's temper everything right here. But
you know, Big Ben does his format the top of
each hour where we'll say something like I've got TMI,
lack of foresight and mulligan and we'll combine all these
(23:29):
things together and make some chocolate tuxedo cheesecake. Is what
we're gonna do. That was so good, Thank you?
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Mary?
Speaker 2 (23:39):
Was that all right? That was great? I appreciate that,
very nicely done. Now, the girls, Mary Mack and Brianna,
they got some cheesecake tonight. It was girls' night out,
and I don't think cheesecake was eaten tonight, but I
did ask them their favorite flavors and that's Breeze favorite flavor,
like the chocolate tuxedo. I've not in that type of cheesecake,
(24:01):
but that's what we're gonna do. Combining all these things together.
Now number one, we will go with tm I. This
is the deal with the Caleb Williams story. This is
a classic case of too much information. Unless you think
(24:24):
Wickersham is the most irresponsible, irresponsible journalist of all time,
and he's got false quotes and false reports. It just
false facts, and it's unless you think that's the case,
then it's too much information from Caleb Williams and Caleb's dad.
This is a story for after Caleb's NFL career, not
(24:48):
going into year two. Okay, if Caleb Williams has a
decorated career, Let's say he puts up some individual numbers
for a long time, maybe some great team success. Maybe
he messes around and wins Super Bowl or two. It's
possible and all of a sudden, this book comes out
and there are these details of like, yeah, initially want
to go to the Bears. If my dad was asking
(25:09):
about maybe going to a UFL team so I could
avoid them. If his career is over and he had
all this success, and all of a sudden those stories
land completely differently. That's like a barroom story you would
tell your buddies and everyone's like, get out of here,
no kidding. Really, it's like a fun thing at that point.
(25:30):
But going into year two after he was sacked sixty
eight times as a rookie and the Bears went five
and twelve, this is not the time for these type
of storylines. Yeah. I didn't even want to go there initially,
and my dad is at talking to agents and lawyers
and we can we not go to the NFL for
(25:52):
one year and then we can pick our team? Can
we do that? Is that a thing? That's not what
you went out there going into year two after you
struggled for most of your rookie season. That's just not smart.
And that's why it's a total lack of foresight. How
could you not know this would be the aftermath. It's
(26:14):
like they're stunned, like, whoa holy cow? We gave Wickersham
these details thinking they were like kind of cool fun facts,
and all of a sudden people are freaking out about it.
Weird that you've got Bears fans that are like, what
the hell? He didn't even want to be here. Really,
You've got NFL fans that are like, wow, listen to
(26:35):
what Caleb. He didn't want to be there. They're talking
about signing with the UFL team, YadA, YadA, YadA YadA.
All of a sudden, the new head coach, Ben Johnson,
he didn't even been there. He hasn't addressed anything, and
he's addressing these Caleb Williams stories that are coming out
details in this new book. So it's a lack of foresight.
It's like, Caleb Williams, you have all this positive momentum
(26:57):
for the Bears offseason. They upgraded their offensive line, they
made some additions to their interior offensive line, made a
couple of draft picks that could pay dividends right with
this offense, could be difference makers. Colston Loveland, Luther Burden,
these guys could make a difference. And all of a sudden,
(27:17):
there are all these details emerging in a book and
you have to put out these fires like that's just
not smart. It's a lack of foresight. And the last
part the Mulligan, that's essentially what Caleb Williams is doing
with that SoundBite from Wednesday, He's basically asking for a mulligan.
He's like, the most important part is the last part
(27:38):
of me wanting to be here, not the UFL. No no, no, no, no, no,
that's not That's basically Caleb, without directly saying it, He's
basically saying, look, my bad, too much information. I stepped
in it. Can we just pretend that all of this
information isn't out there? Can we just start over again?
(28:01):
Can we do that? That's basically what he's saying right there,
because he did he stepped in it. That those are
details that should not be out after a rookie year
that was shaky at best. Those details should not be
out after Caleb's rookie year and Jaden Daniels' rookie year.
Jaden Daniels was a rock star in his rookie season,
(28:25):
the number two overall pick. He played much better than
Caleb Williams did as a rookie, and so you can't
have those I'll put it this way, if Jaden Daniels,
if those details came out with Jaden Daniels after the
stud rookie season that he had put up numbers led
his team to the NFC Championship Game in year one
(28:45):
after a four win season, they won twelve games, made
it to the NFC title game. If those details came
out about Jaden Daniels, like, yeah, initially, I didn't even
want to go there. I gotta be honest. Like the
Minnesota I thought that would have been a great landing
spot if the planets aligned, and YadA YadA. It lands
completely differently because Jaden Daniels had so much success as
(29:07):
rookie season, Caleb Williams did not, So it lands differently.
You have to know that. You have to have foresight
to know how people are gonna take it based on
the context. And Caleb and Carl Williams is like they're
out to lunch on that. They're just like we're just
sharing some fun facts. That's over sharing. That's the equivalent
(29:29):
of calling out sick of work, just calling yeah, I
just I don't know, man, I feel horrible. I don't
know what happened. And then all of a sudden, you're
posting pictures at the baseball game on social media, Like
that's over sharing. You're gonna get busted. What are you doing?
Why would you do that? That's the whole thing with
(29:49):
Caleb Williams, And I'll put it this way, it's an
unnecessary hurdle that he put in front of himself and
also the Bears organization. But it's not a hurdle that
they can't get around or over a lot. This just
goes away magically. If Kayleb Williams goes out there this
year and plays well, if he's productive, if the Bears
(30:11):
are winning games, it's not even a foot note, It
just poof goes away. But if Kayleb Williams is struggling,
he's getting sacked again, the Bears are losing games. Still,
this story is gonna linger. So they're trying to get
out ahead of it and trying to put the flames
out when they have the lighter fluid in their hands.
(30:31):
They have the lighter fluid in the matches in their hands,
and now they're trying to put the fire out and
trying to dampen it. It's like, why'd you start it
in the first place. You should have known this is
what it would be. But it's like they didn't have
any idea. All right, eight seven seven ninety nine on
Fox is your phone number. I'm gonna get to the
(30:52):
calls coming up next. First thing I do. Oh wow,
we got lots of them right here. Let me get out.
First off, we got at least a minute. My guy
Jerome is in Charles. I've talked to Jerome over the years.
I'm curious when he's up to Jerome. You're on Fox
Sports Radio. What's going on? What's going on?
Speaker 4 (31:05):
Man?
Speaker 3 (31:06):
Hey, Brian, Dad killed William's story. That is such a
non stories. They boring me talking about this. I got
a real story for you, and involves Beyond Sanders and
his son Sharlow. And this story has got about.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
That bores me. Jerome, I can't stand. Bores me to tears.
I don't want to hear that.
Speaker 3 (31:25):
Why not?
Speaker 2 (31:27):
I'm just kidding that I was doing my Jerome from
Charleston impression.
Speaker 3 (31:32):
Hey, now, what is it?
Speaker 2 (31:33):
Tell me? Tell me what it is.
Speaker 3 (31:35):
He beat the guy up, put the guy in the hospital.
The guy ended up suing him. Beyond's involved with this
massive cover up about what went on between his son
and this man. And the guys stood Beyond and his son,
and they won't do any They want you to pay
him on anything. And the Buccaneers go out and draft
(31:56):
this guy with it with something like that hanging over
his head. Hi, hell, is that possible? If I had
done something like that to someone, do you know how
much was the time to be given me? I keep
beating the crap out of a guy, all right? I
just saw the story again again the other day. How
may hell is this a non story? The media is
(32:18):
not talking about this? Why Deanna have that much power
with the media that they can cover something like this?
This up. It's been going off for like almost ten years,
and there's nothing that one can do about it.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
So, like, I gotta be honest, I don't know the
details of the story. So what happened? Shiloh beat someone up?
Speaker 4 (32:39):
And what?
Speaker 2 (32:39):
It's the end of the world. What's going on here?
I don't understand what you're talking about.
Speaker 3 (32:42):
Notop out of a guy in high school. Okay, this story,
it's got to be close to ten years old, and
Dion went to all kind of degrees to cover this
thing up. About the evidence thing happened. He beat a
man up and he tossed out another guy in high school. Okay,
all because he's crazy as hell and the buccaneers got
(33:03):
him on the home the roster. Why he's crazy? He's
being a man up for nothing and there's nothing anybody
could do about it and the meaning refuses to talk
about it or do anything about it.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
I don't know what you want me to do about it.
Like it's like I don't know people get in fights.
I don't know what to tell you, like the parents
are going to cover things up. I understand where you're
coming from on it, but I don't know, man, unless
like there's some serious harm or someone was beaten within
an inch of their life or I don't know. I'd
have to know all the details of this story, but
I don't know that it's it's a story that you
(33:41):
care about. If Sanders isn't attached to it, you know,
I don't know, Like Randy Moss got into a fight
when he was in high school, you know, I don't
know that you were up in arms about it then,
you know, years ago. So I don't know, but we'll
turn the page from that. I appreciate you checking injur
Rome seven seven ninety nine on Fox is your phone number? Man? Listen.
(34:04):
I laid out the caleble Man had points go Lord
did a big ben impression, and Jerome was like, not impressed,
not impressed. Talk about something I care about? How about that? Man?
Thumbs down to the UH what do they call that?
What's the word of the the mona? Something I should
I'm a radio guy, I should know that monologue. There
(34:26):
it is, Yeah, the monologue. Goodness, I've been radio long enough.
I forgot the terminology. Yeah, Jerome was like monologue, double
thumbs down. No is what he's told me. Right there?
That's fine, Well, rally all right, feel free to check in.
I'll get to the militia coming up right around the corner.
(34:46):
If you're on hold, stay right there, we'll get to you.
I want to get to this momentarily as well. This
team is the biggest threat to our long term happiness.
I will let you know which team that is coming
up shortly. I'm probably no in for Big Ben Malor.
Keep it locked right here on Fox Sports Radio.
