Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello and welcome.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
It's our numb berth three, our three ready to go.
If you've ever wondered what happens when the broadcast line
drops in the middle of the show and you have
no backup. The company gave you no backup to get
on and do the show remotely, and you're just You're
just a captive. You're just if you want to know

(00:22):
what it sounds like when chaosin serves ensues, and who
doesn't love that? You have Eddie Garcia Koopa Loop teaming
up the dynamic duo here as your fearless leader circumvented
the highways and byways to get to the mothership. And
so you'll hear what that's like, and it's really a
trip behind the scenes in radio. What happens when the

(00:44):
equipment breaks, when the gremlins attack. You'll hear that right
now here. It is our number three.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Not exactly. It is the Ben Malors Show, and Ben
is around, but we have not been able to connect
with him in a manner in which we could provide
you with a quality audio product. He is on the
Phone's it's gonna let us know when the Gremlins are

(01:13):
removed from the equipment and that he can talk to
you and resume hosting The Ben Mallor Show. And I mean,
if it goes on too long, we'll just just get
him on the phone and we'll figure it out. But
we are rolling with the punches here on the Ben
Mallor Show on a night where we saw Monday Night football,

(01:34):
a rematch of the Super Bowl last season, and the
Eagles getting a very nice road win over the Kansas
City Chiefs, Kansas City not getting it done at home
in the second half of this one, scoring exactly zero points,
and Philadelphia I'm nine to one best record in the NFL.
Kansas City. As I mentioned at the top of the hour,
updates seven and three, there are no longer your number

(01:54):
one seed in the ABC. That honor belongs to the
Baltimore Ravens Kansas City right now the two seed in
the AFC. So entertaining game there in some wet conditions
in Kansas City, not the greatest conditions, not the greatest gameplay,
but competitive, compelling certainly some interesting things that went on
in that Monday night game, which a lot of people
will be talking about later on today. For us, though,

(02:18):
we have an opportunity to have some fun on the
phones and take some phone calls. We do not have
a Garcia monologue to talk about. We do not have
a breakdown of the La Kings being eight to zero
on the road so far this NHL season. I know
you're all disappointed with that, but we do have some calls.
Cooper Loopus screen some calls. The phone number eight seven

(02:38):
seven ninety nine on Fox. I am giving out the
phone number because we are going to take some calls
and give you an opportunity to talk. Is Mark the
full name guy still on the line, justin Cooper, Yes,
I am now Mark, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It's not Ben.
Are you disappointed by that?

Speaker 4 (02:57):
No?

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Okay, all right, We're off to a good start.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
Then, yeah, no, I'm not disappointed because I wanted to
bring up something about the Rams hiking Matt Stafford's victory
on Sunday. Now, I think he's a pretty good quarterback,
but the Rams victory had more to do with Keno

(03:20):
Smith getting knocked out of the game in the third
quarter by a hint from Aaron Donald. It's Aaron Donald
that is leading that team. It's Aaron Donald that led
their defense to the Super Bowl victory. But the narrative,
it continues to be about Matt Stafford, and I'm going
to push back on that, and the Rams are going

(03:42):
to be sorry. And there's all this la media stuff.
Some of the quarterbacks that have been challenged by the media,
like Bron Purdy for one, they refuse to accept him
as a good quarterback. He's every bit as good as
Matt Stafford. Whether he has his arm is as strong

(04:05):
or not is irrelevant.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
Yeah. Also, yeah, great more Yes, Also.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
I would say Matt Stafford is a good quarterback. He's
a tough kid, but he's not the smartest quarterback. He
makes some really boat headed place that it actually reminds
me of Eli Manning on a bad day. And he
you know, he did have Megatron to throw to at Detroit,
so it's not like he had nothing when he was

(04:34):
with the Lions.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Well, I feel like this, this call is wasted on
me a little bit because I know you were calling
in to you know, take your shots at Ben, poke
him and have him this. You know, I don't really
care about the Rams, but I know, no, no, no,
they look the Rams went all in to win a
Super Bowl. It worked out for him. They won their
Super Bowl now they don't care. They don't care what's happening.

(05:00):
I don't know what's what's the what's the statute of
limitations on a Super Bowl win? Probably at least five years, right,
at least five years.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
They get a great Well, if they want to suck
for five years, I'll tell you what. The small fan
base that they had gained will.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
Be lost completely.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
So that's on them.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Well, that's an interesting theory because you know, here in
Los Angeles it's all about winners supporting winners, that kind
of thing. So I think the Rams might might push
back on that a little bit. Didn't that they think
that that that win in the Super Bowl established them
here in the market where you've got two NFL teams,
the other team's not doing so good.

Speaker 5 (05:41):
I know.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
I can tell you this as someone who's married to
that other team, as a fan of that other team,
I think they would she would definitely take a Super
Bowl and it sucked for five years because they've been
sucking for a long time and no super Bowl ring.
So so there's that.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
Well, I still think that the fans l A. I
have other options. You got your Dodgers, who are contenders
every year. They will draw fans to them naturally, the
Lakers architenders every year. The Ramps still contend their friends.

Speaker 6 (06:17):
Will go away.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Mark, do you have your harmonica anywhere nearby? Could you
play some harmonica for us?

Speaker 4 (06:23):
You know what? I don't.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
That's a bad job by you. Mark. You need to
have the harmonica by you at all times when you you.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
Know what, I just ate and I never play a
harmonic after it after it?

Speaker 7 (06:38):
Is that?

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Right?

Speaker 1 (06:39):
You have to wait at least?

Speaker 3 (06:42):
Yeah? I know? Is that? Is that? Because you don't
want like food particles flying in your harmonica and I
can damage it read.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
I have to take it apart, clean it. Yeah, you
can't do that.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
I learned something I did not know. That good harmonica knowledge.
All right, all right, markall thanks for a call. Like
I said, sorry, it was wasted on me and you
didn't have you'd have been to annoy with your anti
ram dietribe there. But thanks, thanks for the call, appreciated.
What Who else we got, Cood? We got somebody from
the Central Valley. He was that guy still on the line.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Yeah, Dre from Central Cali.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Dre uh is my former stomping grounds there in Central California.
Dre what's going on? You're on the Ben Mallory Show
without Ben Maller.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Eddie.

Speaker 8 (07:26):
Where are you from the valley?

Speaker 3 (07:27):
Well, I grew up in a little town called Porterville,
but I went to college at Fresno State and worked
there in from the Fresno area for for a few
years before coming to the big city.

Speaker 8 (07:39):
That was at Porterville a couple of weeks. Yours, like
the Totos like to say, that's right.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
Yeah, not that I'm a solo, but yeah, I'm aware
of that.

Speaker 8 (07:47):
Yeah, yeah, where are you at?

Speaker 3 (07:51):
My friend? All right? Are you in the Navy?

Speaker 5 (07:56):
No?

Speaker 8 (07:57):
No, Born and raised in Hanford, bought a house and
amore the family.

Speaker 9 (08:00):
I'm an old man, I got you, Okay.

Speaker 8 (08:03):
I'm sixty. I just turned sixty. And I heard that
guy tell him Ben how good he looks. I see
him on TV the other day and I said, that
guy looks older than me.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
Well, if Ben was here, he would say, how dare you? Uh?

Speaker 10 (08:16):
You talk about what you might say?

Speaker 8 (08:19):
More than that, he might.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Well, he would appreciate you watching that. Yeah, yeah, he
would go ahead, I'm sorry, I'm gonna stop talking. How
you talk?

Speaker 8 (08:29):
I really got to laugh out of that. Jets quarterback.
He said his name was Dick Wood.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
That is correct that I did not make that up.
He was. He was a quarterback for the New York
Jets before Joe Amith. Yeah, Dick, the great Dick Wood.

Speaker 8 (08:43):
That is funny.

Speaker 4 (08:44):
You know.

Speaker 8 (08:45):
One time I was barking in the Harris franch. I
don't know if you've ever right there.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
I'm aware of it. I'm aware of it.

Speaker 8 (08:52):
And the waiter came up to me and me and
he used to joke around a lot, and he shows
me the customer's credit card and he goes, this guy
over here, check out his credit card. The guy's name
was Richard Studley.

Speaker 4 (09:06):
Do you know what that means?

Speaker 8 (09:07):
Old Rick st Yeah, yeah, that's Dick Studley. I said,
he with a fine young.

Speaker 10 (09:13):
Lady, And he said, of course he is.

Speaker 8 (09:16):
He's Dick Studley. I'm blacked about that my whole career there,
real la.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
Now, Now, what did you call in to talk to
Ben about?

Speaker 8 (09:25):
Well, actually called and talked about tonight's game, but I
know he's a Rams fan, and I wanted to ask
him before tonight's game the ineptitude of the Rams and
Seattle both trying to give that game away at the
end the clock, managing on both sides. I couldn't believe it.
They both want to lose the games. Were you at that.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Game, Andy, I was not at that game. I attend
the other team's games here in the in Los Angeles,
so I did not see that game. But Ben was there,
and if he were here right now, he would be
able to talk to you all about it. But he's not. Well,
he's kind of a he's kind of in timeout. I
guess at the moment he's in a technical timeout.

Speaker 8 (10:04):
Okay, well, if you help me, let me give you
a quick analysis to night's game.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
All right.

Speaker 8 (10:12):
I think Kasey blew it. They had that game one.
I don't know. I don't know what the heck happened.
I'll tell you what. Mahome has put some dimes out there, Gallon,
he should be ashamed of himself this one.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
I think they lead. Believe Kansasy leads the NFL and
drop passes, I believe I heard that's that.

Speaker 8 (10:34):
That's what they said. They said Stallion, I think he
has six drops over twenty yards.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
Yeah, and the wet conditions didn't help that out at
all as well. But these teammates needed to pick him up,
didn't do it.

Speaker 8 (10:45):
No, and you had to call earlier Andre from from
the from for the Eagle fans about the pasting affairs
last year. You know a guy. Uh, the Eagles. The
Eagle are good. They might win it all, but quick
quick crying about film milk.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Dude, Yeah, pastes, past time. Move on.

Speaker 8 (11:07):
Yes, that's all I got to say.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
Thank you, Thank you, Dre. Stay stay entertained there in
central California. I know that's not an easy thing to do.
It is the Ben Mallor Show here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 11 (11:21):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
If you are joining and wondering, why am I talking
and taking phone calls? The gremlins have struck at the
Mallard mansion. We are waiting for things to uh to
get rebooted, uh and then have been back on the air.
Until then, we are taking some amazing phone calls. Let's
let's check in with Kevin the medic. Uh. He is

(11:41):
in Orlando. Kevin, Are you there?

Speaker 8 (11:44):
What's up?

Speaker 4 (11:45):
Man?

Speaker 9 (11:45):
You're doing a great job.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
Brother. Well, that's very kind of you. I don't know
if that's true or not, but I appreciate it.

Speaker 9 (11:50):
Now you're doing good. Hey, it's a long time, first time.
I love you guys, Oh thank you.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
I am.

Speaker 9 (11:54):
I am so proud of my Eagles. Man, what do
you think sing the Eagles in Cincinnati or who do
you think?

Speaker 3 (11:59):
Since definitely not going to be Cincinnati with with Joe
Burrow out. But I mean, we haven't seen a Super
Bowl rematch and quite some time. What was it Dolphin
or no Cowboys Bills? Back in the day they had
the Super Bowl reretch we could see. Would not shock
me if we saw Kansas City in Philadelphia again. But
a nice win by.

Speaker 9 (12:18):
Your Eagles, no doubt, man, I'll tell you, I'm just
so probb. I heard you guys talking earlier about Randall Cunningham.
I got excited. He nobody talked about that guy in years. Man,
he was my hero. He has the record for ninety
one yard punts, so you guys are right. He was
a punter as well.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
Yeah, I saw somebody tweeted that at me earlier as well.

Speaker 9 (12:36):
Yeah, yep, pretty good time. The late or a minute
of the late nineties, they used to do the quarterback
challenge here in Orlando Disney, and I got to watch
him when I was a teenager, John Elway, Brett Farr,
Dan Marino, Rick with meyer, Oh my god, it's awesome
quarterbacks and he won. Randall Cuham actually won. But he

(12:59):
did lie to me though. You know, before the challenge
they let you get autographs and little meet and greet
I gave. I gave him my Randall coming in and
rookie card, and he told me he got excited. He said,
oh he went and got a new marker. He said,
he lied and me, he said, I'm gonna make this
work something for you someday.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
Well that that did that, maybe it's worth something in
in the Randall cunning In household. But yeah, that's right.

Speaker 9 (13:23):
Yeah, well I'll sell it to him.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
Yeah, No, he was. Randall cunning In was an hell
of an athlete. Obviously back there. I think he had
like a ninety nine yard touchdown pass as well, if
I remember it was like in Buffalo where he threw
one out of the back of the end zone and
I think it was like Fred Barnett like pulled the
dead bar, ramped all the way for a score. So
yet he was very exciting. He had a big Monday
night football player. I remember against the Giants where he

(13:47):
got knocked down but was able to keep his balance
and stand up and throw a touchdown pass afterwards.

Speaker 9 (13:51):
So they would dive over the line. He was awesome
to watch, man. I mean, what was cal the Williams uh?
Fred Byer or wherever Keith fires?

Speaker 8 (14:00):
Right?

Speaker 4 (14:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (14:03):
Man, flash from the past answer listening. I love you guys.
You guys are doing a great job. I'm gonna call
more off.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
All right, thank you, thanks for checking in. Kevin the
medic Uh, they're in Orlando, Flord. Do we have do
we have time for another call? Or should we? Uh?
Should we take a break here in the in the action,
mister Cooper, all right, let's take another call. Uh, let's
go with uh? Is this is this a real call?
Is this? Uh? Ben in Dover? Is this a call?

(14:34):
You know?

Speaker 1 (14:34):
I didn't even think about that until you said it.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
Let's get let's give it a chance. Let's take it.
Try Ben in Dover. You're on the uh Fox Sports
right into work. It's Seve Ben Maller Show without Ben Maller.
Are you there?

Speaker 10 (14:47):
I love you show. Yeah, okay, way better than Ben.
Ben's like a room bat that. But anyway, I want
to talk about Tommy DeVito FanTac. Yeah, anything, he had
a chance to take it home for Danny Dimes did
just get rid of him and just.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Well, I mean he he had a nice game against Washington. Uh,
he has a chance to have a pretty good game,
I would think coming up against New England because they're
not very good. Uh, the schedule is pretty favorable until
you face Philadelphia in about four weeks. So look, I'm
not a big not a big Danny Dimes fan. I

(15:29):
think the consensus is that giving him that contract was
a really bad idea. But but I mean, you know,
they got excited. They had a nice year last year
and they overreacted. But you know, your front office, you're
not supposed to do that. You're supposed to be That's
what the fans do, right. Guys are running the team
are not supposed to be uh doing that kind of
a thing. But they did. So I wouldn't say that.

(15:52):
I wouldn't say that de Vito is a reason for
you to get excited. But he had a nice game.
Let's see what he can do. I think he could.
He could be better than Danny Dives. Danny Dives isn't
isn't very experience, isn't a great quarterback.

Speaker 10 (16:06):
He's also from Duke, So I know what's really good
that came out of Duke.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
About a lot of basketball players. That's what's really good
that combuta.

Speaker 10 (16:13):
Dude not have a long show life. That's the only thing.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
He definitely doesn't have a long shelf life with the
way he plays and getting hurt and things like that.
So yeah, Todd Tony da video out of Illinois. Yeah,
still living with his parents apparently.

Speaker 8 (16:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (16:32):
Yeah, it's actually bend over. I want to talk to Ben.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
But thank you, all right, thank you, thank you. We've
had some wonderful clone calls here. All right, Uh, let's
see if Ben is going to be back here and
then if you're not sure, Ben right now is just
pulling his hair out. My god, what is what is
any Garcia doing to the Ben Mallory Show. It's you know,
it's not my fault. It's it's uh, you know, the Gremlins.

(16:57):
It's the Gremin's fault. It's not my fault.

Speaker 12 (16:58):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Ben Meller
Show weekdays at two am Eastern eleven pm Pacific on
Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 13 (17:08):
Hey, what's up, everybody, It's me three time pro bowler
LeVar Arrington and I couldn't be more excited to announce
a podcast called up on Game?

Speaker 1 (17:16):
What is up on Game?

Speaker 12 (17:17):
You ask?

Speaker 13 (17:18):
Along with my fellow pro bowler TJ. Hutschman, Zada and
super Bowl champion Yup, that's right, Plexico Burds. You can
only name a show with that type of talent on it.
Up on Game We're going to be sharing our real
life experiences loaded with teachable moments. Listen to Up on
Game with me LeVar Arrington, TJ. Hutschman, Zada, and Plexico

(17:41):
Birds on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you
get your podcast from.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
You can be a one percenter. Study show that more
than two hundred and forty four million American adults listen
to the radio each month, but only one percent actually
contribute content. You can join that small fraternity of p
ones on the Ben Maler Show. It is painless and simple.
Just follow your host on Twitter. He's at Ben Maller
and you cannot tweet at or follow our technical producer

(18:12):
because Mark is once again in for Iowa Sam. I'm
sure Iowa Sam's really upset that he's missing the Gremlins attacking,
but Mark is not on Twitter. He's not on any
social media because he thinks that's ridiculous and he's probably
right at alive from the tire rac dot Com Fox
Sports Radio Studios. It's me still in for Ben Maler.

(18:33):
If you tuned in a little bit late, if you're
wondering what in the heck's going on, if you've been
a longtime listening, you know occasionally the gremlins will strike
Ben's home studio. Uh, and that has what that is
what has happened. But we do have an update on
the condition of what's going on, and we have an
update on the host of the show. We go live

(18:55):
to producer Justin Cooper to give us an update on
what is goinging on with Ben Maller.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
Well, I believe we will have Ben Mallor in studio shortly.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
Ben Mallor has left the Malor mansion. He has jumped
in the Mallard mobile and is now I'm sure at
a safe rate of speed that is not over the
speed limit, making his way down the four h five
Freeway to the Fox Sports Radio studios. So Ben is
on his way. Have no fear. Ben will be here shortly,

(19:32):
but until then it is me Eddie Garcia taking over
the show. I'm sorry about that, but this is the
hand we've been dealt at the moment. We do have
Garcia's pile of Pesos coming up in just a bit work.
I think we're gonna try and play this whether Ben's
here or not, so that will help to to have
some fun and fill some time. It's a great game

(19:53):
show that I dominate at. I beat Ben all the time. Unfortunately,
I don't think Ben's gonna be here to play, but
I'm still here and it's you know, I'm amazing at
that game, so that should still be fun. People are
being very supportive on Twitter. It's very nice for you,
at least the ones I'm seeing. I'm sure there are
other tweets to Ben saying my god, this is this
is awful. What what have you done to us? But

(20:13):
it is it is amusing that that Poppy is having
a having fun with this. He's saying that this is
karma for Ben for banning him from the show.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
I had an anonymous caller, yeah, calling a couple of
minutes ago, and he said that it would be really
funny if we let Poppy back on the show.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Well, I can't do that.

Speaker 11 (20:35):
I know.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
I'm the substitute teacher, and then when the substitute teacher
is here, you know, you throw the spit spitwads and
you go crazy. But I just I cannot. I'm sorry.
I don't think I can do that. I can't. I can't,
you know, go around Ben's back like that. I just,
you know, I like to have fun. I like to
mess around with Ben, but that that might be a
little bit too much. I don't think I could do that.

(20:57):
But I can take a phone call, and that is
what we're gonna do right now. Let's let's go to
Steve in Vegas. Steve, you are on the Ben Mallor
Show without Ben Maller. Are you there, Steve? Well, I guess, uh,
Ben has to go through that sometimes. So Steve is
not there. I'm sure Steve is going to have an

(21:19):
amazing phone call or or he just didn't want to
talk to me, which I can completely understand. Uh, I
know this, this guy is definitely here. Let's go to
Blind Emmett, the Seahawks Fan Emmett. What's going on, Mark, Well,
Ben's not Ben's not here, That's what's up. I guess
he's on his way there. He's in the malormobile and

(21:41):
he is he is flying down the freeway to try
and get here and entertain you all much better than
I can.

Speaker 11 (21:47):
Hey, if if if you like gets pulled over on
the freeway, I mean, what's he gonna tell a cop like, Hey,
I got I have a live radio show to do
in the Grandlins juststruck.

Speaker 9 (21:55):
You know, we need we need to kick this in
gear like it.

Speaker 11 (21:57):
Maybe it'll be like a special escort by the prop
you know that's possible.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
That's possible, and you know it would be the truth,
So yeah, that would be that would be amazing.

Speaker 11 (22:06):
Yeah, I don't know if you were you know, mighty Mark,
who's in and I can fix this? But like the
the FSR delay, I'm iHeart it's terrible. Like I didn't
even know the Gremlins happened. I thought on Twitter before
I heard it on the show.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
So well, I'm gonna get Mark on that right away.
He's not doing anything right now.

Speaker 1 (22:24):
That's always that's kind of power for the chorus.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
Though, Is that right? Is that that's the typical way.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
The iheartstream is usually like a couple of minutes.

Speaker 11 (22:32):
It was good for like a year, but it's gotten
bad again. But Hey, Eddie, I'll give you some sports
hot takes here before you know, before you got to
get the update.

Speaker 8 (22:42):
And so yeah, you know, for me, like the Chiefs,
I don't know.

Speaker 11 (22:46):
I think I'm worried about him because they've lost like
the three games, they've all been in prime time, they've
all been in big moments.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
Do you think the Broncos can take the division?

Speaker 3 (22:55):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (22:55):
Boy?

Speaker 11 (22:56):
Uh, I don't know the schedule, but like if the
Chiefs keep playing like they did in Mahomes and Chelsea
keeps like turning it over, yes, I mean it's possible.
Is like Russell Wilson can keep up display. I mean
last night that was a crazy drive. But this AFC
it's just wide open. I mean now that you have
the Bengals, who are, like you said to the other

(23:16):
caller earlier, Joe Burrows out for the year. Like I think,
I'm it's probably the Raisins, like that's like that's kind
of the for sure team, but maybe the Broncos, Like
maybe Mahomes gets his Mahomes magic in the playoffs. That's
kind of hard when you have a like the local
chef at the restaurant, you know, as you're wide receiver,
like I've never heard of any of these guys, like
maybe Nikol Hardman. So I think the Chiefs are starting

(23:39):
to kind of realize maybe with some more you know,
weapons around mahomes. But the Eagles should not have won
that game with a quarterback throw on like one hundred
and fifty yards. It was terrible, Eddie. I mean, one
hundred and fifty yards and a pick and you get
sacked five times, you still win the game?

Speaker 3 (23:53):
Come on, Yeah, I do agree with you. I mean,
obviously I follow the AFC closely, being a Steelers fan
and then married to a Chargers fan, So I'm all
about the AFC. And I mean the Chiefs they're still
very good, but they're you know, they're not quite what
they were. Uh Tyreek Hill obviously was a big loss.
I know they won without him, but still, I mean,
you know, they do have a hodgepodge of weapons other

(24:16):
than Travis Kelcey. I mean, I don't know, Baltimore.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
There's the chief schedule moving forward is pretty pretty casey.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
Yeah, yeah, But I mean, you know, who do you
really believe in UFC? You know, Miami? Do you believe
in Miami? There are a lot of pretty good teams.
I don't know there's anyone that you're just like, well,
I fear that team, that team I don't want to
face them in the playoffs. So yeah, everybody's a little bit.

Speaker 11 (24:41):
I got a question a Garfias Pylo Paso. So that
there's only you.

Speaker 9 (24:44):
Know, three of you guys, and you know we know
mighty marketing.

Speaker 11 (24:47):
You know he's not in the guy wants to share
hot takes on the air. Is it the default you
versus Coop?

Speaker 3 (24:53):
I think it is. Actually, yeah, I think it's. I
think that's a good call on your part. Yeah, you
nailed it all.

Speaker 8 (24:59):
Right, day.

Speaker 11 (25:00):
I think you know Eddie, you can't worry about any cheating.
So it's going to be a fair and square Matt.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
That is a That is an excellent point. No, that's
an excellent point, Emmitt, Well done by you. And it
will be an honest game without any question. If Ben
is not is not a part of it, there's no
doubt about that. All right, Thanks, Emmitt, appreciate it. Good call, man,
same to you. Be all right. So Ben is speeding
his way in here. Will he be here before the
top of the hour. I'm gonna say yes, he will

(25:27):
be here for the top of the r if he
does not get pulled over as Emmett and put that
out there, hopefully that does not happen. So well, I
think we will have Ben, but we I think we're
also going to have to have Garcia's Pileo Pasos coming
up here just a moment.

Speaker 12 (25:41):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Ben Mallor
Show weekdays at two am Eastern eleven pm Pacific.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
It is the Ben Malor Show here on Fox Sports Radio.
Ben Maller is making his way into the studio. The
gremlins have struck and he is coming in to give
you an amazing final hour. If not of the Ben
Maller Show. Do we want to take another phone call, Coop?
Or do we want to get into Garcia's Pileo Pisos.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
Let's see one more phone call and then well we'll
do a full final segment.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
All right, give me a pick a caller, Pick a caller,
any caller.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
Nick and Ohio?

Speaker 3 (26:17):
All right, Nick and Ohio, you are on the Ben
Maler Show here on Fox Sports Radio without Ben Maller.

Speaker 5 (26:23):
What's up, Betty?

Speaker 7 (26:24):
As much you know man that you're a legend of
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (26:28):
Oh, thank you, sir, thank you.

Speaker 7 (26:30):
I appreciate you doing what you're doing tonight, doing a
great job.

Speaker 3 (26:33):
I appreciate you saying that, even if it's not true.

Speaker 7 (26:35):
And I'm a Bengals fan. It's pretty rough. I'm still
in morning, you know, losing Borough. It's pretty pretty sad.
But I got a movie praise for Coop here. I
don't know if you can name this movie Coop, but
since I found out we lost Burrow for the season,
Oh no, we sucked again.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
We all know that one play that drive all the time. Yeah,
we got the drop here? Where is oh no, water Boy?
Of course it's the water Boy.

Speaker 5 (27:12):
Yeah yeah, So look at you before the Chiefs go. Uh,
don't ever count them out as a Bagels fan, I
said last year, Patrick mahomes hurt, if he's in a wheelchair,
if his right arms healthy, They're they're.

Speaker 7 (27:25):
Always in contention. I mean, they're always going to be there.
And it's a AFC, it's.

Speaker 6 (27:32):
Going to be the Chiefs again.

Speaker 9 (27:34):
So that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
I'm definitely not counting them out. Of course, when you have,
you know, arguably the top quarterback in the NFL, you're
never going to count that team out. But he does.

Speaker 11 (27:43):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
I mean, look, he had some he had some good
throws against the Eagles, and his his receivers did not
help him out. Of course he did have that one
interception in the end zone. But no, no, nobody's counting
out the Chiefs, that's for sure. But they're not quite Uh,
they're not quite as powerful, I think as a lot
of people may have thought they were. Daddy and Maine. Oh,
let's go to Big Daddy and Maine real quick. Hello,

(28:05):
Big Daddy, Big Daddy. I guess we don't want to
go to Big Daddy one more time. Hey, big Daddy,
let's go Heeddy, Yes, sir, you're on the.

Speaker 6 (28:18):
Hour, Tyleah, what's on your mind?

Speaker 3 (28:23):
Big Daddy?

Speaker 6 (28:24):
Hey, I don't know why he doesn't leave you in
charge when he takes time off. Anyways, I love it
when you host the show.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
I appreciate that.

Speaker 6 (28:31):
I appreciate it that Brian Nokam man that drives me.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
Not No, I don't don't need to talk about that.
What's what's up? Man? Are you driving around in May?

Speaker 6 (28:41):
I heard him talking to h somebody above the Broncos,
and I was like, my kid is so thrilled, right,
now because he's a Broncos fan. I'm old school. I'm
a Patriots fan all the way when they suck, which
they suck.

Speaker 8 (28:56):
Yeah, yeah, but.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
Your son and Cooperlooper floating on a cloud right now,
very happy with the Broncos turn. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (29:05):
I heard Freeman and by Ellen's coming from the living room,
and I went out and say, I knew the Broncos
bust on because he was going there.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
Well, we all might furnish, we all made fun of
Sean Payton. Uh. And and I guess justifiably so when
they got their butts kicked by the Dolphins and seventy
points put on them. But hey, he's he's starting to
turn things around there. And I don't I don't know
that the Broncos are going to go deep in the playoffs,
but hey, if they even get in the playoffs, but
better than they've been the last few years, that's for sure.

(29:37):
You got some some hope there, all right. Uh, if
you want to play Garcia's pile of pasos, if you
would like to be a contestant, I am I am
under the impression that we may need a contestant or two. Uh.
The phone number is eight seven seven and ninety nine
on Fox. If you would like to play Garcia's Pile
of Pasos, it will be a cheating free game, as

(29:58):
it will be myself against Justin Cooper. We will play
garcias pilot Pazo. Some call it Mallard's Mount of Money.

gonna have you choose two door numbers one, one through six.

Speaker 3 (31:33):
One through six. All let's go with the number three
and five.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
All right, so number three, we've got Sean in North Dakota.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
Hello, Sean, are you there?

Speaker 4 (31:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (31:44):
Total, you ready to play the game. Yeah, you're gonna
pick Cooper Loop? All right? All right? At that?

Speaker 1 (31:51):
And then you said what was your other number? You
said five? Okay, that is Josh and Orlando.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
Josh are you there?

Speaker 7 (32:01):
Gentlemen?

Speaker 10 (32:01):
It's an honor and a pleasure.

Speaker 3 (32:03):
Are you ready to win with me? You got unfortunately
got yet me? It's just Coop already got picked?

Speaker 5 (32:07):

Speaker 8 (32:10):
I got you.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
I like I like the confidence change, all right, coop
you guys, Uh, all right, categories here, Yes, this is
This is Garcia's pile of pesos.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
The Miley Cyrus addition, she turns thirty one years old
this week. Uh. The categories are as follows the best
of both worlds. The climb, wrecking ball, and used to
be young. Sean, you were on first, which category would
you like?

Speaker 12 (32:36):
The climb?

Speaker 1 (32:37):
The climb? All right? And then, Josh, when it is
your turn, which category would you like?

Speaker 10 (32:41):
Joh, I'm gonna come in like a wrecking ball.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
Wrecking ball?

Speaker 3 (32:44):
All right?

Speaker 1 (32:45):
All right, Sean, you and I are up first. I
remember we need the first and last name of the
athlete in order to get points. All right, we're gonna
have forty five seconds. This category is the climb. These
star athletes spent multiple sea as backups. Ready begin, all right.
This guy was the quarterback for the Chargers. He didn't

(33:06):
get to start until Drew Brees left.

Speaker 6 (33:10):
Philip Rivers.

Speaker 1 (33:11):
Yes, the iron Horse. There's a disease named after him.
The Yankee old Yankee.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
Luke Garry.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
Yes, this guy is the star on the Miami Heat.
Right now, well past Joe Montana's backup. He became a
Hall of Famer Steve Young. All right, this guy got
to the Super Bowl for the Raiders, but he lost
to the Bucks. Ri Yes, this guy won a Super

(33:43):
Bowl for the Giants. He was a backup for Phil Simms.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
Yeah, alright, Wow, that's pretty good. I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
I don't know if you were adding up, Eddie.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
I wasn't, ok. I got I think there's two hundred
and twenty I believe is what the score was. Could
double check my math as we we go here. All right, perfect,
all right, Josh, you and me wrecking ball. These athletes
have all had a relations have a reputation as locker
room cancers. All right, all right, all right, you ready,

(34:17):
let's go, let's do it. This guy's bounced around a
bunch of different teams. He's with the Mavericks, now Brooklyn Nets, Celtics.
Flat Earth guy, flat Earth guy. Clue, Oh my god,
let's skip that one. Former Steelers, Yes, yes, former Steelers
wide receiver. He went cuckoo, went to the Raiders, and yes,

(34:41):
he was a forty nine Ers wide receiver. He stood
on the Star get your popcorner ready. Yes, former Dodger pitcher.
He got accused of a violent sexual crime and I
was in Japan. Okay, how about this guy was agent
zero in No, yes, agent zero in the NBA. He

(35:02):
pooped in a guy's shoe, brought a gun in the
locker room. Gilbert Arenas, Gilbert Arenas, all right, I'm not
bad though, right.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
You guys got a hundred points? Really?

Speaker 3 (35:16):
Yes it?

Speaker 1 (35:17):
Yes, I don't know if you gave me too many points,
but I mean no, we got philps me I got
going on here.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
No, you had, I got you with you had it
an eighty and a twenty that's one hundred and then
sixty and forty one hundred that's two hundred and ten.

Speaker 1 (35:30):
I think, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right. I think
you short points though, no I didn't. All right, go ahead,
all right again, Josh, do you want wrecking ball or no?

Speaker 3 (35:42):
No, we did that, not not recking. Both worlds are
used to be young, yes, uh, used to be young. Okay,
these athletes are all now considered old guys. Are you ready?
All right? We go? Jet's quarterback who got hurt in
the first series, Aaron Uh he is does those stupid
State farm commercials NBA guy. Yes, he was a pitcher

(36:04):
with the Astros. He's married to a big, blonde, boob
blonde woman. I can't remember her name right now. No, no, no,
he's with the Astros. Now he was with the Tigers,
all right. Cincinnati Reds first baseman. Yes, yes, yes, Cincinnati
Reds first baseman. Kind of eccentric. Probably his last year

(36:25):
with the Reds. I've been there a long time. Yes,
kicker for the Arizona Cardinals. Now he was with the Lions.
He was with the Broncos. He had the longest field. Yes,
Oh my god, this guy playing won a title with
the Raptors.

Speaker 1 (36:39):
Ah, he did. So that's three and twenty points later.

Speaker 3 (36:44):
God bless you.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
Three twenty totals. So we need one hundred and ten
to tie. It's a good game, all right, Sean. We
got the best of both worlds. These athletes are in
both the college and Pro football Hall of Fame. Forty
five seconds begin Old Bill's running back he killed two people. Yes, uh,

(37:05):
the best Chargers running back of all time. Yes, a
wide receiver for the Lions, Megatron. Yes, old safety for
the Ravens. He was there at the same time as
Ray Lewis. Ummm yeah, yes, linebacker on the eighty five Bears.

(37:30):
He was later the forty nine Ers head coach. Yes
he is good, all right, Hall of fame cornerback for
the Denver Broncos. He got there from a trade on
the Redskins. No, no, corner cornerback, Oh, cornerback that one?

Speaker 4 (37:45):
No?

Speaker 3 (37:46):
Did we did? We make it?

Speaker 2 (37:47):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (37:49):
How many points did you need?

Speaker 1 (37:51):
And to tie?

Speaker 3 (37:53):
You got it? Oh? Yeah, oh yeah, we got it.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
We won, We won, Sean, nice job, Yes, Josh.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
You did well, but we got beat by a better,
better team there, all.

Speaker 1 (38:03):
Right, you got a golden ticket, Sean, No, what a
refreshing game.

Speaker 3 (38:08):
That was a good, good effort there on Garcia's Parlo pace.

Speaker 8 (38:12):
