Scream and Steven. They love this even Mike and Tucson
says our four is his favorite hour. This hour four
have the Vikings botched a prime year of Justin Jefferson's career.
We'll take a look at the future for Justin Jefferson. Also,

(00:24):
what's your position on bo Nix ignoring the Bronco haters
and what intrigues you the most about your nurse Sanders
being the top athlete in American sport on Google? Just
google it as he's the top trending topic there. In
twenty twenty five, we'll talk about all that and more.
Have a wonderful Friday. Don't forget fifth Hour, New episodes
all weekend. Gotta subscribe though, And Benny versus the Penny.

(00:47):
Here's our four caught in a Hayes But what kind
of haze? Welcome in the beginning of another hour of
the Ben Mallor Show. We are in the air av
Reware in Dreamland. Oh, you may need to be getting

(01:10):
up right now. We are feast fancy coast, stuck coast, border,
the border and beyond on the vast and glitzy powerful
microphones of fs are am monating live from the globe,
the snow globe of sports chat from the world famous

(01:32):
Fox Sports Radio studios as approved by ohioal Rick and
Maryland Morning Time and Attilio in Florida, also Entree in Chicago.
They all, they all know that the Ben Malor Show
has made possible in part by our friends at tire Rack.
For over forty years, ty Rak has been helping customers

(01:52):
like supermarket Steve find the right tires for how, what
and where they drive. Chris and Boston knows their ship

dot com the way that tire buying should be and

(02:14):
Eddie said, Hey what about DraftKings. That's right. This show
is also sponsored by DraftKings Sportsbook, un official sports betting
partner of the NFL. And then b A right now
use the promo code. Malis my last name.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
M A.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
L L e R. I claim your special offer at DraftKings. Again,
that's promo code mallord m A L L e R
at DraftKings. The crown is yours. So we had an
NFL game last night and it wasn't a great game.
The Lions led pretty much the entire way and they
ended up winning the game by two touchdowns. The story

(02:50):
that everyone's gonna be talking about the next twenty four
hours is the malfeasance of George Pickens. And we saw it.
We saw it. It was the George Pickens that we
had in in Pittsburgh. Mike Tomlin said, Hey, I remember
that guy. Yeah, that deliberate indifference by George Pickens, the misconduct,

(03:15):
the football malpractice. I don't know how many other ways
I can say it. He was a bad, bad bad
bad to the bone, bad of the bone. So the
Cowboys lose and they are not going to the playoffs.
They're done. That's a stick of forking them, whatever cliche
you want to use, that's that's that's it. So our

(03:38):
lead this hour instead is about a different receiver in Minnesota.
That would be wide receiver Justin Jefferson. Now, there's been
a lot of chatter that behind the scenes, Justin Jefferson
is not a happy camper. There's been a lot of
complaining and he got paid and right now he's just

(03:58):
kind of doing cardio during these games. He's not really
doing anything of note. He can get a guy out
of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to do what Justin Jefferson's
were doing recently at wide receivers. So he attempted to
push back when asked by the local fourth estate there
in Minnesota. The local media guys, whether he is worried
that the Vikings are wasting his prime? These are the

(04:22):
prime years of his career, and boy, they they're terrible,
absolutely terrible, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, all right, So
if he didn't see what he said, maybe not. Did
he call the Viking quarterbacks crumb bums? No, he didn't
do that. He didn't do that, he said, quote No,
I wouldn't say wasted. Justin Jefferson said, obviously, it's a

(04:46):
difficult season. It's probably one of the most difficult seasons
just off of the circumstances having a young quarterback, having
a different team, having young players on the team. So
it's just one of those years. Not every year's going
to be a top tier year for me, he said.
It's all part of the game, he said, So it's

(05:06):
just on me to expect a lot from these these guys.
Blah blah blah blah blah. Okay, that is a good
jumping off point, and let's discuss the question. Have the
Vikings botched a prime year of Justin Jefferson's career? Have

(05:26):
they botched this? And my take on it, I've got Nirvana,
rotten Tomatoes and Penata, so Nervada and Nirvana, Penata and
rotten Tomatoes, and we'll put them all together and we're
gonna make some gold to Bouyon. Yeah, look at that
gold Bouleon for it. Now the lead off. Obviously, obviously

(05:49):
the Vikings have fetched around and play stupid games, win
stupid game prizes. They have batched a season of the
very prime of Justin Jefferson's career by doing this weird
dance at the quarterback position. So as Snoop would say,
fox shizzle, I think he said that. But this one

(06:11):
isn't even up for debate because Justin Jefferson tried to
sweeten it up and we gave you I read the quotes,
but you know it's not a nothing burger if you
gave out truth serum like Aaron Rodgers drinks Ayahuasca, Minnesota.
What they did here is they took a very bougie

(06:33):
private jet of PJ and they they turned a private
jet into a motel ice machine, which I didn't even
know what is possible, but they did it. And the
ice machine is loud, unreliable, and if you have a
room right next to it, it'll keep you up all
all night when you try to sleep at the night.
You know, nighttime hours there and no one knows why

(06:54):
it's even there, doesn't many sense, but there it is.
And you don't land. You don't hate a guy thirty
five million a year, which I believe is where Jefferson
is financially, and then you throw him into a quarterback
blender with JJ McCarthy and Max Prosber like. This is
not player development, it's witness protection, wide receiver, Netflix docu

(07:20):
series stuff like here's the cold hard malor math Jefferson
entered this season averaging ninety six and a half yards
per game. I just bear with me. I know there
should never be math on the radio. I'm not paying attention, dude,
I'm driving, man, I'm trying to wake up. Just deal
with it. So Jefferson was averaging ninety six point five

(07:44):
yards per game. That was the top number in NFL history.
I'm told that's pretty good now with the Kitty Combo dish,
And really it's mostly JJ McCarthy max started one game,
He's averaging four six yards per game. That is a
fifty two percent decline, a fifty two percent decline in production.

(08:07):
Justin Jefferson has become the Nirvana track. Half the man
I used to be, right, half the man I used
to be. Minnesota took a Hall of Fame trajectory career
and this year they parked it behind a construction detour,
is what they've done. And we talked about malpractice with

(08:31):
the Cowboys in their situation with George Pickens. Well you
would also say what's gone on in Minnesota is a
reckless disregard for the consequences of action one's actions, Like
they clearly picked the wrong quarterback. JJ McCarthy looks horrible,
and he didn't throw the ball much at Michigan, Like
what were they thinking? They must have been sold The

(08:53):
Greatest Bill of Goods by Jim Harball or somebody around McCarthy,
because this guy looks like he should be selling insurance
somewhere up playing quarterback in the NFL. My god, is
he horrible. He just sucks. And that's the guy they
picked and they red shirted him. They took a year off.
He got hurt, but he was in all the meetings
and he was learning by watching. And he went out

(09:13):
there and looks like he's never played football before. It
looks like he's a rugby player or something like that.
I don't know what, or maybe he's playing I mean,
I don't know what. Tennis. God, it's not good. That's
not good. So you look in when you're looking into
the crystal ball. I have owned crystal ball. I'm also

(09:35):
a distant relative of Nostradamus and friend of Nostradinas. He
lives in Seattle. I like him. His wife's a vegan though.
All right, sorry, looking into the crystal ball. Mark this now.
Tattoo this on your forearm if you have to. If
this continues, if you don't see anything, there's no spark
from JJ McCarthy, then justin Jefferson is going to start

(10:00):
grumbling and he's gonna start eyeing the NFL's version of
the transfer portal, and you mark my words, and I'm
never wrong about this. I will guarantee you that once
we get through the rest of the regular season and
the playoffs, as Fox Sports Radio lomn this, Jim Moore
would say, And if the Saints don't do Diddley pooh

(10:23):
with JJ McCarthy the rest of the way, then you're
gonna have teams coming around saying what would it take
to get Justin Jefferson. Well, that's a big contract. I know,
it's a big contract. He's a good player, though, he's
a good ballplayer. You imagine the Patriots, for example. I
just do the old speculation game. So the Patriots are
on this magic carpet, right and they're playing a bunch

(10:46):
of tomato cans, and they're winning these games and just great.
They're fake it till you make it, and they're chest thumping,
having a great time, and it's like the Patriots are back.
It's like these are the Patriots that where they were
winning every every year they were winning twelve games. Seem like,
if you're the Patriots and let's say you get to
the AFC Championship game, you f it up. You don't

(11:06):
get to the Super Bowl, get to the AFC Championship Game.
You've got Drake May still on a rookie contract for
a couple more years. Why would you not trade two
first round draft picks and two second round picks to
get Justin Jefferson. If the Vikings would do it, they
do it. If Jefferson says I want out. If you're
the Buffalo Bills, you only got a couple more years
of Josh Allen before he starts to fall off the map,

(11:27):
why wouldn't you go make that move. If you're the
Baltimore Ravens, why wouldn't you make the You can't rule
any of that out, all right, So we'll file that
one away. I'm gonna put that on a posted note.
We're gonna wait for the Hot Stove League and then
we'll revisit this, because it looks pretty clear on this
side of a microphone that the Vikings picked the wrong quarterback,

(11:50):
and that is going to cause a lot of collateral damage.
Because JJ McCarthy is a dog with fleas, a lot
of people are gonna need a flea back, all right.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
Now.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
Furthermore to Denver, we go, speaking of questionable quarterback play now.
Back in November, you might remember, on these microphones in
a previous episode, we did a malor monologue mention of
Bronco quarterback bow Nicks and the Bow Show. Come on
down to the Bow Show. So bow Nicks had revealed,

(12:20):
much to the dismay of Milkman, Mike in Colorado and
Queen Roxanne, he's not really a Bronco fan, but she's
like Tom Brady and the pages. But anyway, she lives
in the Denver area or Colorado. So Broncos quarterback Bo
Nix revealed that he had deleted all of the socials.
He locked it, I'm not on there. I just want

(12:41):
to ignore the I want to ignore the outside noise
and I don't care. I don't care what these people say. Well, well, well, well,
well what do we have here? It turns out that
despite claiming to delete all social media, bow Knicks has
announced this week that he is, let's just say, well aware,

(13:05):
well aware of the conversation that the Broncos are more
of a pretender than a legitimate championship contender. Now his response,
he said, quote this is a quote from bo Nicks.
He said, the worst thing you can do is let
other people tear down a ten and two record. Bonicks said,
whether it's saying you don't play anybody or you're just

(13:28):
relying on defense. That was the explanation from bo nicks
close quote. So let's discuss this one. Give it a
quick little wink here. So what is your position on
bo Nicks ignoring the hater raid that is being tossed
at the Broncos. So here's the to me, that's not

(13:52):
what he's doing, like ignoring the haters. Bo Nicks is
out here telling the world that, on one hand, he
does not hear the critic, while responding to the critic.
Am I wrong? I feel like that's what he's doing.
I feel like that's what he's doing. He's like he's
literally responding to something he claims he's not listening to.

(14:16):
It's like saying, hey, I have sworn off Booze, I
am clean and sober, I'm on the wagon, and I'll
return your call. I'm just finishing this margarita the size
of a bathtub. I'll get right back to you. Okay,
uh yeah. But like Nick's deleting social media and magically
knows every talking point. How is that possible? It's like,

(14:38):
come on, man, come on, what do you do? And
I would I'm going to wager a guest that bo
Nix is reading the reviews like he's on rotten tomatoes,
and he's listening to sports talk radio like he's a
p one Hi bomber. Remember Usball when you do the
ratings where we were the king of the hillover here. Yeah,
when you when you tell your friends about radio. By

(14:58):
the way, sometimes address the noise is actually smart. I've
talked about this in previous editions of the show over
the years, that you let the trolls, and there are
so many trolls, you let them run the corn of
all if you don't speak up. However, it's like threading
a needle because this is selective hearing. It's not selective engagement.

(15:20):
Let's not pretend that bo Nix is lighting up the league.
He's not. He's the twenty ninth ranked quarterback, he's thirtieth
and yards per past. The Broncos offense has been good enough,
but it is not good side by side with the real,
legitimate big time offenses. It's like a molasses rolling uphill
in a snowstorm. It just doesn't go very far. And

(15:42):
it's the Malard tower of power without the power source,
which would be the vertical passing game and all that.
If you're only throwing screen passes and all training wheel
stuff and nothing downfield, it becomes easier to defend because
you don't have to worry about anything past the line

(16:03):
of scrimmage more than five yards or ten yards at
the most. And the critics that bow Nicks is clapping
back at, they've got Biamo Like Denver has played the
third easiest schedule in the in the AFC. That is
a byproduct of them being terrible last year. That is
not exactly the gauntlet. The Patriots are the same way.

(16:24):
The Patriots haven't played anybody really all that good because
they have been terrible the last couple of years. And
so it's a bounce house. It's not a gauntlet. It's
a bounce house for both these teams. We're talking about
the Broncos though, and the Mallord advice. My advice to
bow Knicks is you know you need overnight talk radio
advice is respond if you must, but you'd really have

(16:46):
to tiptoe around otherwise you look like a rookie quarterback
shadow boxing a really amazingly scary poltergeist. It's not real,
it's not really all right. Last thing, we go to Cleveland.
That's right, good old Cleveland right there. What a town

(17:08):
shouldhar Sanders? Back in these sporting news shouldar Sanders among
these celebrities who were trending the most across the United
States in twenty twenty five. According to the people at Google,
the Browns quarterback, you talk about a roller coaster with
a loop de loo and he transitioned. Not that kind
of transition. He went from college to the NFL and

(17:30):
was drafted low because people think he sucks. And this
made him someone who you checked in on on the interweb,
according to the list Terryan and on my list, it's
this is from the people at Google. Just checked the Google.
They dropped this on Google. That shoulder. Sanders ranked number

(17:54):
six overall among people in America in twenty twenty five.
Can you imagine that? Do you know who's ahead of him?
These are people searched on Google. The people ahead of him.
You had Pope Leo, he had Charlie Kirk's widow. You

(18:17):
had the person who killed Charlie Kirk allegedly, and you
had the New York socialist mayor giving free stuff away.
That's who was ahead of Shudhurth Sanders. And so the
question is what intrigues you the most about Shardur Sanders
being the top trending athlete on Google in twenty twenty five. Okay,

(18:42):
so Sanders here topping this this athlete trend thing and
just number six in the entire country. It tells you
everything about modern American sport. Where the games we in
here talking about practice, not a game, not a game,
not a game that was Alan iverson twenty years ago.
The game is the background noise. The game is it's

(19:07):
second It's been this way for years. This is not
a new revolution of revelation or revolution for that matter.
And the main event is and will be for the
foreseeable future, whatever circus happens outside the stadium. The only
time we really talk sports is NFL games and then

(19:29):
playoffs in baseball basketball. That's I don't talk an NBA
regular season. I mean, we'll talk about trade rumors and
things like that, but that's about it. Like this isn't football,
it's showbiz. Junior varsity is what it is. And sure
it didn't trend because he was carving up defenses. For
the Cleveland Browns. He trended in part because he's a

(19:49):
Nepo baby and he was born into a royal family
and the nepo baby with a football helmet on the
offspring of Dion and coach Prime and all that, and
Dion Sanders family crest stitched right into the helmet and
all that. In twenty twenty five, that's all it takes.

(20:10):
He became a one man digital pinata, whacked at daily
by critics, fans, bots, algorithms, the invisible hand, all that
stuff like performance, quarterback rating, third down, conversion police, the
analog thinking in a digital world. That's what that is.
That's analog thinking in a digital world. What moves the meter?

(20:32):
And it's all about moving the meter, the VU meter.
Moving the meter is the soap opera industrial complex. We're
gonna call it the soap opera industrial complex. Is he happy?
How does he feel? Is he understood? Is he the
next star or the next skid mark? Because he plays
for the Browns. The internet ate it up like midnight

(20:56):
fast food after a double shift, and they even ate
the soggy fries at the bottom of the back. We
used to trend for winning championship there used to be
a point even one. You're a winner. Now you trend
if you promise free healthcare, get accused of murder, or
you root for the Chicago White Sox. In fact, how
embarrassing this woman, Bonnie Blue. She's the woman, a nice,

(21:20):
wholesome lady that slept with one thousand men in twelve
hours and she could not beat out Shaddhur Sanders. Shuitter
Sanders by getting hemorrhoids on the bench for the Browns
was more searched on Google than the woman that really
went to Gaga. All right, now, Shooter Sanders, he should

(21:41):
have a deal with Brass Pro Shop because he would
be in the fishing section, an endorsement deal under bait, Clickbait,
the Prince of the Matrix and the Algorithm's newest chew toy,
Shadear Sanders. It is the Ben Mahlor Show. If you
would like to be part, you can do that right now.

(22:02):
It's amazing. We prefer miracles here, unless we don't. We
just talk about whatever is interesting to me at the time,
and you can call up at eight seven seven ninety
nine on Fox. That's eight seven seven nine nine six
six three sixty nine. Also on x at Ben Maller.
We'll have the coop scoop on entertainment. Hooray for Hollywood,
hooray for Hollywood. We'll get to that. We will do

(22:23):
it next.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
And it is the Ben Maller Show. We know you
have options, not good ones at this hour, but we
are glad that you have chosen to spend some quality
time with us. The most important thing, the most valuable
thing that you have, not the most important, but the
most valuable thing, your time, and you're giving it to us.
We appreciate you. Doing that means a lot there. Even

(23:27):
if we're just background noise while you're working in a
factory in El Paso, or you're a cop trying to
get through the night there in Louisiana, whatever it might be.
We're here for you all night long into the early
morning hours, and you can be part of the show
at eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. You can
say hello to me at Ben Mahller on X that's

(23:48):
at Ben mallor Marky Mark, who's he's from Chicago. He
probably buddies with the Pope back in the day when
the Pope is just going to White Sox games and
all that. And listen to sports talk radio. You can
say hello to Marky Mark if you want. There he's
on the X machine. That's Mark with a C Mark ramsey.
And there's some number six, four, nine to five. Oh

(24:10):
Coop de Loop who believes in the bow Show. Although
he hasn't bought a Bonnix jersey yet, so that's when
you know he's all in on Bownicks when he buys
a Bonix jersey.

Speaker 6 (24:21):
Now, I decided a long time ago that I'm no
longer buying jerseys of players that are younger than I am.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
Okay, is that Okay, I got you. That's a little awkward.
That does make sense, though, I.

Speaker 6 (24:36):
Yeah, it's just it's weird. So I only only retired players, now, okay.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
Yeah, it is odd. You get to the point it's
the circle of life as a sports fan where all
these guys are older when you're a kid, and then
you get to a certain point and you're like, wait
a minute, I'm older than that guy. And then wait
till they start having kids, and then their kids are
playing and you're like, holy what the hell is that? Anyway,

(25:03):
it's a Bronco fin if you want to say hello
to Coop a loop, it is the Ben Maler Show.

Speaker 6 (25:10):
By the way, I'm sure that he gets constantly asked
about people calling the ten and two record fraudulent by
other reporters. It doesn't necessarily mean that he's on social
media listening to the crisis.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
I will bet you one thousand dollars he has several
burner accounts. How about that?

Speaker 6 (25:30):
It doesn't seem to t he doesn't count.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
No, these guys, trust me, they are If Coach K
had a burner account at Duke, if.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
Coach K had one. I mean, come on, everyone's got one.
They're all fussing around on that going to war. They're
not going full Kevin Durant and that whole thing. The
other thing, I remember when I was years.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Ago, obviously a long time ago, and there was a
player named Cecil Fielder was a baseball player, and he
was pretty good player for the Tigers, player with the Yankees,
a bunch of teams, and it was at Dodger Stadium,
and his kid took batting practice. He was like thirteen
years old and hit freaking home runs at Dodger Stadium
and then became Princefielder, like I said, was his name then.

(26:12):
And he's already retired now. So it's crazy. It's nuts.
It's crazy.

Speaker 6 (26:17):
I've been retired for a long time.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
I know. It's it's just wild how how fast all
this stuff goes. But it's it's nuts, so absolutely nut.
So what a magic ride it is. It is the
Ben Mather Show. And let's take some calls here, let's
go to the phones. We'll say lo to Dominican Mike
calling us on the international line from France.

Speaker 3 (26:40):
Good morning, good morning, good morning, Ben. Hopefully you can
hear me. Okay, I'm not the lustance allowed and cheering
Charles the Bald and I'm in the bathroom right now
because it's quiet here.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
So you're living you're living the hard life. You're living
a hard life, Dominican, Mike, can't.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
I know. We weren't a way to Munich right now,
but then Austria and then they went back to the state.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
So it's a family here we are we are you
working vacation? What are we doing?

Speaker 3 (27:03):
No, this time actually a vacation. Nicole and I just
to tool us vacation at the end of the year.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
Yeah, So I'm sure, I'm sure, I'm sure. I'm sure.
Nicole is very happy you're calling a talk radio show.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
She's all about it. She's all about it, man, she
thought about it. She's sitting over there, so I'm in
the man's baskets. So I couldn't bring her in and
say hi. So you take the reflex. But Ben, if
I go by that mantra of like Coop just said
about buying Jersey, the players are older and younger, uh,
younger than me as of right now. I think I

(27:36):
have like Nick Folk, the kicker for the Jets, and
I think Justine Verlander That's about it for me. That's
about the toty jerseys I can buy.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
The next The next thing that you're going to experience,
the making Mike is when there's no one even born
in the same decade you were born in, that's going
to happen, right, that's you're close to that. You're already
close to that. That's like the last Yeah, yeah, yeah, nuts.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
Yeah, absolutely absolutely, And then what happened many Chris Paul wrong, man.
I think they've did him wrong. You know, they should
have keep him at least let him get on the
plane and taken give.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Him uber or something, you know, like, I don't think
they know. I know he's he was. I don't know
what happened. Obviously I wasn't there, but from what I've heard,
he was causing problems. He wasn't playing very well. They
should have never brought him back. The mistake. Why were
you thinking to make him like the guy was washed
up last year? Why would you bring him back? They
already had this old roster. I don't understand what they

(28:29):
were thinking. They got a bunch of they got a
bunch of idiots in the front office. Apparently, what are
you thinking, Well, they.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
Were they were thinking about that. I will still be
able to buy his jersey until now I can't anymore.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
Yeah, I'm pretty sure Chris Paul is not going to
come back to any old timers day the Coopers. The
one thing the Clippers are like. I work in radio,
and the radio is famous for destroying relationships with people
that work at radio stations like the fire you know,
so you imagine, well, let's bring Blake Griffin back. No,
we screwed him over. We traded him to the Pistons.

(29:01):
How about Chris Paul, Now we screwed him over. We
left him at the airport in Atlanta. Okay, how about
DeAndre Jordan he hates us too. Okay, great, we'll bring
back Benoit Benjamin. There we go. That'll work.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
Oh, that's your boy right there. That's your boy right there.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
And ben ben Benah, Benjamin Benjamin.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
Yes, that's your boy, ben question, I mean, no question,
A little good spears theory. Aaron Rodgers, Right, who's another one?
Another jersey that I can probably still get it right.
He's supposed to be married, correct.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
That is, we got married. He told Pat McAfee that
he got married to I think the name is Brittany.
The woman's name Brittany, the fake woman named Brittany.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
Yeah, Ben, Ben, what if it's not a woman? Nothing
wrong with that, not my thing. But what what if
he decided to play for the same team. Nothing wrong
with that by no.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
Means, however, well, well yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
Because then it'll be a lot harder to find out,
if you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
Well, yeah, but here's the thing, though, Dominican Mike, Like,
even if it's a dude who cared, but it's somebody
who knows that person would go to TMZ and take
twenty thousand dollars from Harvey Levin and give them pictures
and hey, here's what this person looked like in high school.
Here's what they look like in college. They worked at
the you know, some grocery store, you know somewhere. So yeah,

(30:26):
I got some other people talk. But enjoy your trip
to France there, all right, we'll all right, Well, all right,
look at that globe treker Dominican Mike traveling the world.
How cool is that? Let's say a lot to here's
a blast in the past. Kelly in Des Moines, Hello, Kelly, welcome.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
Hi Ben, have you been.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
I've been all right, Kelly, how are you doing, you know,
hanging in there doing all right?

Speaker 3 (30:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (30:49):
Sorry, we're on like different schedules now, and you know,
it's been a lot since I called. I apologize.

Speaker 8 (30:55):
It's okay, that's me.

Speaker 7 (30:57):
I apologize.

Speaker 1 (30:58):
We're not paying you, It's okay. What do you got.
I gotta get the Coop Scooper.

Speaker 7 (31:02):
Well, no, we'll get to Coop Scoop in a second.
And I already gave Coop a tip on something that
we should be watching. I already watched it. But I
will say this on the jersey topic, is that I
think my entire thing that I've done is that every
time I buy a jersey of any Seahawks, then they
get traded or they're gone. So I feel like I

(31:23):
don't buy jerseys anymore because of that. It's like, the
second I buy a jersey, that person's either trash or
they get traded.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
Yeah. So I'm I'm kind of like Coop. Once they
once the players became younger than me, I just moved
to hats and shirts. I have shirts. That's kind of
I have a ton of hats. Yes, but I'm a
big I'm a big hat guy. Especially this is my
hair left I'm a big hat guy. I don't have
to worry about that. So yeah, yeah, I love you.
I call us again. I gotta get Coop on here.

(31:52):
By the way, let me get Poppy on because he's
gonna kill me if I don't Poppy give im all right,
thank you, Poppy real quick, carry up Poppy quickly.

Speaker 8 (32:02):
About week fourteen, number one on the billboards, number one
on the radio, number one on the podcast, that same
versus the Buck. I like my next eight and a
half prevents.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Game for Poppy God number.

Speaker 8 (32:18):
We got the Tectives versus the Cheese and Patrick Mahome
look on fire. That's what the script on. That's the
script for mister Roger Candell fine us three and a half.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
I'm loving that, okay, number three three.

Speaker 8 (32:34):
He goes versus the Chargers.

Speaker 7 (32:36):
My manchur Ben Mallard's gonna be there.

Speaker 8 (32:39):
He's gonna give me luck on it. I will be there,
and I like it because every single time you're there,
you're one way and he's giving us the luck.

Speaker 9 (32:48):
And are we liking here?

Speaker 8 (32:49):
I'm loving Justin Herbert. He's on fire one and a half.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
Okay, all right, those are the picks, Thank you?

Speaker 3 (32:59):
All right?

Speaker 1 (32:59):
Let's get to the koop scoop on entertainment right now.
Hooray for Holly? Would hooray for Holly? Would the koop
justin coop? All right? Ben?

Speaker 6 (33:08):
So normally we start off in the theaters with what
you got to check out this weekend, But every so
often there's some entertainment news that I actually need to
start off with before talking about what's what's new? Uh
So this is happening right now. Actually, it looks like
Netflix is nearing a deal to purchase Warner Brothers Discovery.

Speaker 1 (33:32):
So that is wild. Yeah, that kind of money, that
is insane. Yep.

Speaker 6 (33:37):
Yeah, and they're they're gonna buy it mostly in cash.
So what that means is it would make Netflix a
huge player. They would have access to all of Warner
brother Discoveries and IP so that that includes HBO, HBO Max,

(33:58):
all of those movies. It would, uh, it would change
the landscape of entertainment. Let's just let's just say that
they have exclusive bargaining rights and so I guess right
now they are working out a deal.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
So I'm all right, that's that's crazy. Yeah, I'm not
sure that Isn't that the rumor was that was part
of the deal. Why they didn't pick up the NBA
contract was because of that, because it's a lot of
lawyers and loop d loops you gotta jump through with
that merger.

Speaker 6 (34:28):
Well, so here's here's what they would not get in
the merger.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
Is all of sports. Yeah, yep, oh they don't want
the sports. They had the sports on Netflix now though.

Speaker 6 (34:41):
Yeah they do so, I mean Netflix has their own
sports deals. But the businesses that would not go to
Netflix include entertainment, sports and news, television brands and channels
globally including CNN, TNT, sports, and free to air channels.
So those would not be going to Netflix. But everything else.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
All right, U, it's weird. Who, like we were Fox Entertainment.
Didn't they sell their stuff to Disney? Yes, it's very odd, it's.

Speaker 6 (35:08):
Right, I know, And I don't know if what that
would mean for like HBO streaming platforms, like if that
would just get eaten up by Netflix and all of
the HBO stuff would be on there, which I mean,
you know, I realized that would mean a price hike,
but I don't know if. I don't know if I
would care that much because I'd rather have one.

Speaker 1 (35:30):
I don't know, you want to make it the way
it was Coop. You want everything in one place, that's
what you want. It's eventually going to get back to that.
Remember when Netflix, everyone started their own streaming service, and
a lot of these things have failed, like Netflix is
still It's.

Speaker 6 (35:43):
True, they're still the leaders. Moving on to the theaters.
What you've got to check out this weekend. There's a
couple of movies. The first one I'm gonna mention just
just in case Siria Sean is listening. I don't even
know if he listens to the show anymore. But Five
Nights at Freddy's two is out this weekend. I remember
he was a big fan of the first one. Uh,

(36:04):
the first one was not reviewed well by critics. This
one's got an eleven percent on ron Tomatoes, but apparently
that doesn't matter. If you make enough money, you can
make sequels.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
Another thing, somebody cuts you a check to make it.

Speaker 6 (36:17):
Yeah, exactly. Another thing that's in theaters this weekend, which
I'm actually very interested in, kill Bill the whole bloody affair.
So it is a special engagement. I guess where it
puts volume one and volume two into a single unrated
epic presented exactly as Quentin Tarantino, uh, you know, wanted

(36:39):
it to be. And believe it or not, this is
actually one of, if not the only Tarantino films that
I have not seen. I've not seen Kill Bill, so
I will be going to theaters and check it out
though the way that he intended it to be seen.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
Watching some stuff.

Speaker 6 (36:55):
Yeah, okay. And last, but not least is a Netflix
movie that is available right now. It is a dramedy
and it is called j Kelly and it stars George
Clooney and Adam Sandler and also Laura Dern stars in
this one. It is a coming of age tale but
for adults.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
That's all.

Speaker 6 (37:17):
That's all they tell you about it. And it's got
pretty good reviews. That's on Netflix right now. Check that out.
And that is Koopscoob.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
But entertainment, all right, thanks, were gonna have time for Jeopardy?
I don't know if we will or not. We might
just blow it off. Yes, we'll take some more calls.

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
