Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oh, what's going on. Happy Wednesday morning to you. Hope
everything's going great for you.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
I heard a statement on Tuesday and I'm like, yeah,
I disagree with that a lot, and it's gonna sound
like I'm a hater, and I really am not, at
least in this situation. Maybe another one. But I look
at Travis Hunter, number two overall pick with Jacksonville. He's
gonna be a special player. He's going to be a

(00:29):
really really solid NFL pro might be an NFL star.
But I do not expect him to be the offensive
rookie of the year and also the defensive rookie of
the year. That's what it's head coach Liam Cohen throughout there.
He's a guest on the Rich Eisen Show. Check it

(00:49):
out here you go, here's Leam Cohen saying, eh, you
know what, don't cut him out entirely.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Could happen. Here's Liam.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Do you think he can be offensive and defensive rookie
of the Year in the same year.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
I do think it's possible.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
He is committed man like he is committed to driving,
not just himself, but his teammates as well. And I
think that his teammates like these guys are challenging him
every single day, like he doesn't get a free pass
because he was the second overall pick in the'st Travis Hunter.
Like they are in his grill, trying to jam him up,
trying to hem him up, trying to make it as

(01:22):
hard as they can possibly make it for him in
a great way, like in the most healthy way as possible,
where they're going at it and chirping at each other.
But it's truly guy's iron sharpening iron. That's what it
feels like. And I wouldn't expect anything less from those guys.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Okay, now let's grate on a curve. First off, I'll
give a little leeway because Liam Cone is a first
year head coach with Jacksonville. So when you asked the question, hey,
you think he could win both offensive end defensive Rookie
of the Year, I mean it's it'd be very bella check.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
He in to be like, yeah, let's not get crazy
over here, you.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Know, right, like to just squelch it right there, Like, yeah,
that's probably that. I mean, you could, you could, but
as a first year head coach, I can understand at
least why you wouldn't take that approach.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
And he's like, I think it's it's possible. You know,
it's possible to me.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
That's like saying, hey, I could end up with Dua lipa,
it's possible.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Right, It's not impossible, but maybe.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
You can slide into DMS a lot of ways to
contact people you never know, right, Like, no, it's it's
not happening though, Like here's the thing. Let's let's do
the math on this. For Travis Hunter, who I again
think will be special. I think he will be a
star player in the NFL, but to win both awards
as a rookie, the.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Odds are so long of that happening.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Now, if you look at his odds in each market,
he's got a fighting chance. As far as Defensive Player
of the Year. His odds on pay he's second in line,
So you got Abdua Carter with the Giants, and then
Travis Hunter. Abduall Carter is plus two fifty. Travis Hunter
is plus seven to fifty, so he's a little over

(03:12):
seven to one, so he's a bit of a long shot.
But he's number two in line, so second shortest odds
for Offensive Rookie of the Year. He's got the fourth
shortest odds. The only players ahead of him are Raiders
running back Ashton Genty, Titans quarterback cam Ward, and Chargers

(03:33):
running back Omari and Hampton. That's it, and then Travis
Hunter is next. He's ten to one. The other three
players obviously have shorter odds, so I can see where
you look at that and say, well, he's only ten
to one for Offensive Rookie of the Year. He's like
seven and a half to one for Defensive Rookie of
the Year. It could happen he might win one of

(03:54):
those awards, but to win both, he's gotta be on
the field constantly, right, and I just don't think that's
gonna happen. The Jags can talk about his conditioning level
and I don't doubt that whatsoever. Everybody raves about it
like he's on a different level. This guy has energy
for days. But at Colorado, I know this, that doesn't

(04:17):
even sound real. Snaps per game last season at Colorado,
this freaking guy, Travis Hunter, he averaged one hundred and
thirteen point nine snaps per game.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
That's not happening. In the NFL.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
He averaged, let's just call it, one hundred and fourteen
snaps per game at Colorado last season.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
That's insane, So.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Again, props for that, but I just don't think he's
gonna be on the field to the same degree in
the NFL. And already on the depth chart they listed
Travis Hunter as a number one wide receiver and a
backup cornerback. And the other thing I think about is this, So,

(05:06):
the Jags had a scrimmage last Friday night at their stadium.
They're under the lights, the whole thing, and Travis Hunter
played both sides of the ball, played some offense, played
some defense. But other than that scrimmage, Travis Hunter in
practice is exclusively on one side of the ball or
the other.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
He's not back for the back.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
It's happened one time in a scrimmage where he's on
both sides of the ball. And I'm supposed to believe
that he's getting so many snaps come regular season week
in and week out, where he's a legitimate candidate to
win both awards.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
He's not. And it's not hatred at all.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
It's just when I heard Liam Cohen say, though it's possible,
that's realistically like saying, hey, it's possible I could end
up with Sidney Sweeney.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
You never know. It's it's sure.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
He can't say it's impossible exactly right, Lorraine, It's not
gonna happen.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
Anything's possible.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
You could say it's possible for Travis Hunter to win
both awards.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
It's not gonna happen. Right.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
You say it's possible for me to be with Sydney
Sweeney is not gonna happen. That's where I'm at. It's
just he'll be a star. I think he'll be special.
But come on, let's be realistic. When we're talking about
winning both Rookie of the Year awards, that's insanity. That's
no no way that happens. By the way, Davante Adams,

(06:33):
the new Rams wide receiver, he was on the Pivot
podcast and he was talking about Travis Hunter playing on
both sides of the ball.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
So check this out. I'm curious what Davante had to say.

Speaker 6 (06:44):
Here you go, I don't even think it's possible to
do for real, not at a high level, and then
going there. It's hard enough to go cover a punt
and then and then be on you know, one side,
you know, and I I haven't done it. I'm not
acting like I'm gonna kick off or punt. But I
can see the dudes in I know, you know, you
you got your guys, and you see the yardage of
my yardage over the over the game versus somebody that

(07:05):
starts on offense and then plays special teams as well, Like,
that's just.

Speaker 7 (07:09):
A lot of mileage, man, And I don't know how long.

Speaker 6 (07:11):
I'm not even concerned so much if he can do
it over the course of a game or a season.
It's more like how long is his career gonna be
if he's playing that many snaps, because you just all
you're doing is doubling your risk for injury one.

Speaker 7 (07:24):
And I don't wish any of that on him.

Speaker 6 (07:25):
I hope that he can play an injury free season
and go ball out.

Speaker 7 (07:29):
But I mean, it's just the reality.

Speaker 6 (07:31):
The more you're on the field, Yeah, I mean, it's
already one hundred percent injury guarantee. You know, once you
get out there playing both sides and now you gotta tackle,
you got you gotta tackle Derrick Henry with that frame.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
Yeah, that's a that's a great argument. And I think
we got into this day and age where something critical
it just seems like, oh, it's just hate, hatred, you know,
you're saying what someone can't do. No, that's realistic. Exactly
what Davante Adams said right there. That's just real. Like,

(08:04):
it's gonna be very hard for Travis Hunter to remain
upright if he's getting a ton of snaps on both
sides of the football. So this idea one that he's
gonna get a ton of snaps. Davante Adams, he was
basically like, I don't think that's gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
He's talking about.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
Him just doing it to begin with, let alone excelling
at doing it to the level of winning both offensive
and defensive Rookie of the Year. Come on, man, come on, like,
that's just not a realistic possibility. It just isn't because
think about these guys, like, think of the competition. Abdul

(08:41):
Carter could have a very good rookie season for the Giants.
That guy was a freak at Penn State. And I
mean that as a complete compliment. So that's your competition.
You're gonna be on the field enough as a backup
cornerback where your rookie season is gonna be more special
than every other defensive player rookie season. Come on, man,

(09:02):
as a backup it's just not realistic.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
It isn't I don't want to be you know, like, oh,
you can't do It's not like that. It's just like
Davante Adams said, we're just talking realistically here, realistically. It's
just not in the cards.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Something I hit on to start the show. I keep
hearing this promo from Cowherd and my book, coylehard.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
Is the best in the business.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
But even this guy is making smart people sound dumb.
It's Caleb Williams with the Chicago Bears. I started off
the show, and I'm even more I'm even stronger on
this now where Caleb Williams is the most scrutinized player
in the NFL right now, there is not another player

(09:46):
that is more heavily scrutinized than Caleb Williams at this
moment and projecting into the twenty twenty five season, there
isn't a guy. That's not to say, nobody else gets scrutiny.
Every NFL quarterback scrutinized, every single one, some more than others,
but every single one of these guys is under the microscope.

(10:07):
But the way Caleb Williams is being talked about, It's
promo after promo after promo on Fox Sports Radio of
these dudes breaking down the the video of him throwing
a football into a net.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
He missed three throws in a row, and he was frustrated.
That's it. That's the video.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
And we got real smart people reading into this like
we're looking under every.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Rock to see Oh oh, this is a clue.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
This is an easter egg, this is telling the future,
what's gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
No, it's nice.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
It's so absurd, man, there's another video.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
I slipping channels.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
I saw a little bit of First things first today
they do a great job on FS one. No, I
didn't realize this because I just saw the bad net
Caleb Williams video. You know, he's missing the tar it
And then they showed another one where he's making every
throw he threw three or four in a row. Money
just cash cash cash cash. It's like, hell, let's delete

(11:13):
that video. Coward is amazing at what he does, really
really a smart dude. But I can't take that promo anymore.
I can't listen to it again.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
I can't.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
It's so bad. It's one of the worst things I've
heard him say ever. Easily we're like, oh, I don't
know man like you see this Caleb Williams video. He
missed the target three straight times and he's frustrated. I've
they deleted it from the Bears, you know, twitter feed,
because it's bad.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
It's bad. Look, this is a clue. No, it's not.
It's not even close to a clue.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
It's just a dumb thing that happened at practice, and
we're blowing it into something that matters.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
It's ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
There isn't another player in the NFL that scrutinized more
than Caleb Willlliams is right now now. I came up
with my short list of guys that are heavily scrutinized.
On my short list, I have guys like Dak Prescott,
brock Perty, Justin Herbert, Trevor Lawrence, all those guys are
on my short list. I don't think any of those

(12:15):
guys right here, right now, heading into the season, are
scrutinized more or will be scrutinized more than Caleb Williams.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
Number One overall, pick Lightning Rod's Lightning Rod for generating
opinions in college, and that's carried right over to the
bears to the point now where we're breaking down video
in practice of him missing a target throwing.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
Into a net.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
That's amazing to me, it really is. Do you think
we're gonna do that with Drake May tomorrow?

Speaker 1 (12:50):
We're not gonna do that. Do you think we're gonna
do that with Brock Purdy tomorrow? Like, we're not gonna
do that.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
We're okay, Kayleb. Williams showed a little bit of fire,
showed a little bit of fresh You haven't seen top
quarterbacks show some frustration even in training camp. Never seen that,
never happen before.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Like, what are we doing?

Speaker 2 (13:10):
The guy had a tough rookie season, sacked way too often,
too inconsistent. Gotta be a lot better, got to avoid sacks,
got to get rid of the football. This is my
main complaint with Caleb Williams. He's extending plays to a fault,
just trying to hit the big play constantly. I think
that gets in his way. I think, hey man, you know,

(13:32):
dump it down, tuck it and run. Stop trying to
hit a home run every time. Look for a single,
look for a bunt single, Like, just take a win,
focus on wins. Win the play, whether that's five yards,
that's seven yards, that's four yards. It's just not a
negative play. Just try to win the play, then try
to hit a grand slam every time. He does that

(13:52):
way too often. And so he's growing. Is a young
quarterback who's growing. He's got a better offensive line in
front of him, even more weapons to throw to, and
an offensive minded head coach. The excuses are over for
Caleb Williams. But he is so scrutinized where it's on

(14:12):
a level we're breaking down his reaction to missing a
couple of throws, throwing into a football net.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
That's amazing to me. This is not a clue for
the future.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
This is not like, oh well, I told you, this
is a confirmation over here. It's nothing like that at all,
and we're trying to make it out to be. All
this does is confirm that he's the most scrutinized, not
just quarterback, he's the most scrutinized player in the entire
NFL right now. There's not anybody else who's scrutinized more

(14:47):
than he is. That's where we're at. Some of the
scrutiny is deserved. Former number one overall pick, and he
struggled last season. Jalen Jaden Daniels was amazing last season, awesome,
one of the best rookie seasons I've ever seen stud
And it made Caleb Williams look worse. And that invites

(15:11):
a little bit more scrutiny for Caleb Williams. Hey, the
number two guy outperforms you by a ton, So yeah,
there are reasons for the scrutiny, but make no mistake,
whatever the reasons may be, he is the most scrutinized
player in the NFL. I don't think it's even close.
We had a caller earlier in the show that said, hey,

(15:31):
what about Justin Fields or Anthony Richardson, Like those guys
get scrutinized. But if Caleb Williams fizzles out in Chicago
the same way Justin Fields did, he'll get ten.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
Times the scrutiny Justin Fields did.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
You still had Bears fans saying, don't get rid of
Justin Fields, Keep Justin Fields. Those Bear fans shouldn't be
allowed to have any more opinions on football.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
Ever, again, Justin Fields.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
Is not anywhere close to a good NFL quarterback, And
to just like it's been kind of broken for four years,
but you know, maybe.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Just try it again. Let's see, Oh my lord.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
But the point is, if Caleb Williams fizzles out the
same way, or even worse, well, worse would invite more scrutiny.
Let's just say on a similar level, fizzles out, he'll
be scrutinized way more than Justin Fields ever was. If
Caleb Williams puts up numbers identical to Justin Fields over

(16:40):
four years, no Bear fan, no human being, will be like,
maybe they should run it back.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
For another year.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Which there were a lot of Bears fans that said
that with Justin Fields will not happen with Caleb Williams
at all. He's just more scrutinized. He's scrutinized on another level.
I think he's the top guy in the NFL right now.
He's making smart people sound dumb. Cole Hurd is the
furthest thing from a dumb person. He sounds dumb in
that promo.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
It's just true. I don't mean this.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
Would be Fox FSR on FSR crime over here. You
know we're compadres over here. But that's just that's crazy.
That's a lunatic take, right, there like oh the fields.
Like man, they took it off the website. It's a
bad look like this tells us nothing as far as
the regular season goes, as far as this future goes.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Got frustrated and missed a couple of throws. That's it.
That is all it is.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
This is not some big picture takeaway whatsoever. It just
confirms he's the most scrutinized guy.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
I feel free to check in Militia eight seven seven
ninety nine on Fox is your phone number, also on

Speaker 2 (18:47):
I'm Brian though in for Big Ben Malor. I hope
your early morning hours are going swimmingly. Man, oh man,
that's crazy here, you know. I'm gonna get to Justin Fields.
And I was looking at Justin Field's numbers with the Bears.
My lord, so his passer rating in three years with

(19:11):
the Bears eighty two point three. I like playing this
game a little bit, like, what's an idea of where
eighty two point three would be in the NFL last season? Well,
that would be just a little bit above Will Levis
is where Will Levis was at eighty one point four
last season with the Titans. And Justin Fields gave you

(19:36):
a little bit better over three years with the Chicago Bears.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
Right there is what.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
We're looking at not stellar, not awesome, not exactly what
we're looking for right there. But that was the reality,
and that's a rough reality for the Bears and for
Justin Fields. And so I'll get to the to take
in just a bit here, but let me go out
to the militia. Milicia is chiming in. We want to

(20:05):
get to them. So let me see real fast. Let's
go to uh. Mark, Mark's got some thoughts on Travis Hunter.
Curious about this?

Speaker 1 (20:12):
What's going on?

Speaker 9 (20:13):
Mark? Hey, how's it going? Brian?

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Good bud.

Speaker 9 (20:18):
My question is this on Travis Funda. You think he'll
play as much defense as Dion Sanders played offense.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
It's a good question, you know.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
I think that defense is I think that's the better
spot for him. I think that he projects to be
a more special player on the defensive end.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
But I don't know. It's rookie year.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
This to me just screams like we got to get
Trevor Lawrence on the right page, and that's why they've
got him on the offensive side of the ball. But
where he is throughout his career, I really don't know.
That's a great question from you. I don't know how
it's going to go for his career, but for this season,
I think he's going to be more used offensively than
on the defensive side. That's at least my guess as

(21:08):
far as that goes. But you know, hey, time will
tell see if that works out or not. But that's
a great question, you know, or think of. I'm trying
to think of other players that were used on both
sides of the ball. But Dion, you know, he moonlighted offensively,
you know, with the Cowboys a little bit there. I
think that Travis hunder had answered the question. I think
he'll get more snaps defensively this year than Prime got

(21:33):
on the offensive side of the ball. I just don't
know how many snaps he's gonna get. I don't think
he's gonna get anywhere near the amount of STAPs he
would need to get to be like a legitimate candidate
to be Defensive Player of the Year. I just don't
think that's realistic. Hey, our girl Andrea is in Berkeley,
wants to check in.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
What's going on? Andrea, how you doing.

Speaker 10 (21:53):
And enjoying your show? Thank you?

Speaker 1 (21:55):
Yeah? Doing all right? You know, my computer just kind
of died.

Speaker 11 (21:58):
I don't know what.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
But aside from that, it's freaking retrograde, right, that's.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
What's going on here.

Speaker 10 (22:04):
You read my mind everything as above, So below mercury
has been retrograde July seventeen. It's coming out of retrograde
August eleventh, so hang in there. Very soon. It's coming
out of retrograde and then it goes into retro shade,
which is two weeks after until it gets back to
one hundred percent. But we'll take it. It's coming up

(22:25):
August eleventh, so that's something nice to look forward to.
And I know how much you like the full moon, Brian,
so I had to put in a call and resh
you a happy full moon. In Leo, it's called the
lions Gate moon.

Speaker 7 (22:39):
Wow.

Speaker 10 (22:39):
Yeah, And it's Saturday, August ninth, twelve fifty six am.
So technically the eighth ninth is the full moon in Leo,
also known as the lion Gates full moon, and a
very spiritual time to manifest what you want to bring in,
cultivate inner piece. It's really a very nice full moon.

(23:01):
I saw her in the sky. She was definitely waxing
to full, so I can just imagine in a couple
of days what that'll look like. And I know how
much you'd like to howl, So I wanted to give
you some advanced notice if you'd like to howl at
the fullest.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
I do appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
I do, yes, Andrea's right, I literally howl at the
full moon like the wolf. I am, Yes, I do
that even to this day. Now, is this you know
you don't judge my.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
Howling over there?

Speaker 8 (23:29):
Lorena?

Speaker 1 (23:30):
How dare you you know?

Speaker 2 (23:31):
How howl my lungs out here? Is this moon going
to look any different?

Speaker 1 (23:36):
Andrea? It sounds very fancy.

Speaker 10 (23:38):
Oh, it's not necessarily going to look any different. It
will be a full moon, but it won't be like
a blood moon or you know, an eclipse or anything
that's actually September seventh or the ninth. But it'll certainly
be a full moon in Leo, so it'll look like
a full moon. And again, Lionsgate, because it's in Leo,
so give people a little extra attention, a little extra affection.

(24:03):
Leo sort of kind of rules the roost in that way.
But again, it's a full moon in Leo Lyonsgate eight
eight twenty twenty five, So that's really something to look
forward to. And really we're on the cusp of it.
I always tell Ben, you feel the full moon three
days before the day of and three days after. Yeah,

(24:25):
so we're in the zone.

Speaker 8 (24:27):
You know.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
I got to know this, yeah, Andrew, because we've spoken
quite a bit over the years, which I'm thankful for.
And we did a little karaoke on today's show. And
I'm not asking you to do a karaoke version, but
I'm just curious musically, what's something, what's like a go
to for you?

Speaker 10 (24:46):
Oh, you know, I'm glad you asked that, Brian. It
was the sixtieth anniversary of the Grateful Dead and they
were in San Francisco at Goldigate Park this weekend commemorating that.
So it just brought back like the energy, the best vibes.
It was like, wow, so time has flown by. So
the Grateful Dead, Dead End Company, Jerry Garcia, those are

(25:10):
kind of my go tos and it was just really
nice to see, you know, peace and love. And they
dedicated a street in San Francisco to Jerry Garcia. His
daughter Tricksy was there. She's a fellow Virgo. I've done
her chart and the giants are going to have Grateful
Dead Night August twelfth at.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
The ballpar really. Yeah, I didn't know this. You're deadhead.

Speaker 10 (25:34):
Oh yeah, hardcore deadhead?

Speaker 1 (25:36):
Wow.

Speaker 10 (25:37):
Yes.

Speaker 11 (25:38):
Well, also, the Oregon Ducks are going to be having
a grateful dead night. They yes, and they have instructed
the student body to do a you know, they do
like a like Penn State does a wide out game,
and it's going to be a tied I out.

Speaker 10 (25:53):
You know. I love that because I've heard other teams
have celebrated, you know, grateful dead night around the league.
But I didn't know the Oregon Ducks. That's pretty cool
in the tie high.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
Yeah yeah, your picture very cool. Wow, I didn't know this.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
I'm thankful for knowing a new fun fact about you, Andrea.

Speaker 10 (26:10):
Oh yeah, and I'm a good company. It was sold out.
It was sixty thousand a night, you know, one hundred
eighty thousand for three days. It was really amazing. It
was just beautiful to see that positive energy and you know,
good vibes and peace and love. It was just really
nice to see San Francisco the way it used to be.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
Man, I hate to break up all this like positivity, Andrea,
but y'a I'll expand on this in a second, but
I do feel it's necessary.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
I have to tell you.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
We're not exactly face to face, but I have to
tell you, I freaking hate the grateful debt. I kind
of hate myself for hate. I hate it more than tool,
like I bang on Tool. I freaking hate the grateful
I don't know what it is with me.

Speaker 11 (26:56):
I don't.

Speaker 10 (26:56):
Yeah, I mean it's not for everyone, and quite frankly,
in my experience, either you really love the Grateful Dead
or you really hate them. It's not a lot in between.
So I give you the space. You know, we all
have our own journey. So that's okay.

Speaker 9 (27:10):
No.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
I appreciate that you're so cool, Andrea. I always appreciate
you being positive like that. I need to take lessons
from you with your positivity, but appreciate you checking in
as always.

Speaker 12 (27:20):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
There she is Andrea in Berkeley. Yeah, yeah, man.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
As a true story at school, I almost got into
a fight with one of my good friends. I apologize
if I've told this story before, but I went over
to his house, like he had a house off campus.
We're hanging out at his house, his house. He's playing
Grateful Dead. I kept turning it off because I hate
him that much. He almost got into a fight because

(27:46):
it kept on turning his music off in his own house.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
But yeah, I don't know, man, my hatred is real
for them. I don't like that. I do feel that way, but.

Speaker 6 (27:57):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
Man, there's something about Coop. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
You could maybe speak to this. There's Uh, there's plenty
of happy music out there. I'm totally cool with it,
totally fine as soon as it has sort of like
a hippie.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
Vibe of happiness. You know what I'm saying. I see red.
I don't know. I need to get on a couch
and talk to someone about this. But yeah, man, I
don't know. I can't stand damn grateful dead.

Speaker 7 (28:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
And you know how I feel about your precious tool
over there. Cool? You know your band that sounded bad?

Speaker 8 (28:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (28:36):
You know I feel about your freshest band Tool there.
Oh man, I hate the dead way more. It's crazy,
all right, My guy love speaking to Cowboy here. Here's
some positivity, right, love Cowboy, he's in Windsor he's with us.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
What's going on? Cowboy?

Speaker 10 (28:53):
Oh?

Speaker 12 (28:53):
Nothing? Watch Brian speaking of a grateful dead Jerry Garcia
thirty years ago, Uh, Flaturday, age fifty three, four days
before Mickey Mantle and anyway, former Major leaguers calnosteen he
was a west handed pitcher for several teams. He'll be
eighty six Saturday. And Julian Havier was in the sixty

(29:17):
eight World Series as a cardinal second basin against the Tigers,
will be eighty eight. And of course the second bombing
of of Nagasaki three days after the bombing of Varosima
was August ninth, nineteen forty five. And these two acts

(29:38):
killed about two hundred thousand people immediately, and many others,
you know, because of radiation, sicknesses and other things. And
John most was Ralph Mouf on Happy Days, will be
seventy two Friday. And also Jamie James is a Canadian musician.

(29:59):
He would seventy two on the fourth. Along with let's see,
Roger Clemmins was sixty two on the fourth, my favorite,
the NASCAR driver of all time until Bubba Wall was up.
Jeff Gordon was fifty four on the fourth course, Billy
Bob Forton was seventy on the fourth and Hilmer Kenny,

(30:23):
who was the very first Cronko sham boxing champion, was
last Thursday. So anyway, everybody have a great day, and
I'll call them all and remember you got to be
a bully of your cowboy.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
Well, nice stuff there, he is Cowboy and Windsor. Fantastic job.
I love how cowboy he doesn't. You know, he lets
it all out there, whether it's a positive anniversary, it's
you know, it's a NASCAR driver.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
And hey, hey, by the way, turn fifty.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Three or whatever it is, or it's a bombing that
wipes out hundreds of thousands of people.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
Yeah, it's all fair game. You know, that's all just
in his head, right, he just throws it out there. Yeah,
that's not.

Speaker 5 (31:08):
Written down or anything. He just has these random facts
in his brain.

Speaker 1 (31:11):
Wow, nicely. I love getting these fun facts.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
I never knew Andrea was a deadhead, had no idea.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
I love that fun fact.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
And I didn't know cowboy in Windsor he's got love
for NASCAR drivers Jeff Gordon and Bubba Wallace.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
I never knew that. I do know, Bubba, Bubba, Do
you have any friends called Bubba?

Speaker 5 (31:34):
No, No real friends called Bubba?

Speaker 1 (31:38):
You have like fringe friends called Bubba.

Speaker 5 (31:40):
Well, you know, like you got those people in Oregon.
You're like, hey, Bubba, really.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
Really that's their thing.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
Huh, hey, bubba, they call like females baba or just
like other dudes.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
Like the big guy in the court. Okay, all right,
got it.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
Wow, I didn't know they got down like that. That's
a that's another fun fact. Didn't know that about the
state of Oregon.

Speaker 7 (32:07):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
Okay, all right?

Speaker 2 (32:09):
Uh comeing up next. We close it down in style.
Let me get this. I gotta do a little, uh
you know, little business here. My computer is back running again.
I don't know what got into it, but uh, is
it time for a new job? Then it's time for

Speaker 1 (32:36):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
If this computer didn't revive, I wouldn't have been able
to get to that, and you wouldn't have gotten that information,
and then your life would have continued on a downward spiral.

Speaker 11 (32:46):
Right there.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
Thank goodness, this computer came back to life. All right,
come it up next. Hopefully one of the militia will
check in. Maybe Marcel a little positivity. But I gotta
call it like it is. I figured out today that
I am again unrealistic positivity. I'll tell you about that
coming up. We'll close it down in style. I'm Brian
no In for big Ben Maler. This is Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
It is Fox Sports Radio. I'm Brian though in for
Big Ben Maler. See this vibe, Lorena. The vibe of
this just makes me want to punch strangers that don't
deserve it.

Speaker 5 (33:35):
It's supposed to be feel good music.

Speaker 6 (33:37):
It is.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
It's totally supposed to be.

Speaker 5 (33:39):
Maybe you should go talk to someone about your I.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
Think I need to. I don't know. I love this
tweet from Douglas.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
He just wrote I hate Princess Diana and I have
no idea why. That's kind of like me my hatred
for the grateful dead. I don't know what it is,
but I'll say it's like kind of like this with
jam bands, kind of like the hippie vibe.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
I don't know what it is with me.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
I'm not against happiness at all, but when it's like
a hippie vibe of happiness.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
It bugs you. It bugs the holy hell, right, yes.

Speaker 9 (34:14):
I have.

Speaker 5 (34:14):
Okay, So they have like a summer festival that they do.
Maybe it's a spring festival.

Speaker 6 (34:19):
Anyways.

Speaker 5 (34:19):
I went with my family when I was younger, Hippies galore,
and back before weed was legal. I remember we went
there and people were coming out of the porta potties
completely hot boxed, and I'm like, I'm just a kid,
like nine and ten, and I'm like.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
It smells like skunk, Dad, what is that?

Speaker 8 (34:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (34:43):
Yeah, And they like hemp bracelets and hemp necklaces, like
total hippie vibes.

Speaker 1 (34:49):
Yeah, you know, like that's the thing.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
I've got some friends that are hippies. I'm not against
the people, I'm against the vibe.

Speaker 11 (34:55):
How that sounds.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
I hate the vibe. Oh my gosh, I hate the vibe.
I can't tell you.

Speaker 11 (35:01):
So, if you had a time machine you went back
to Woodstock, you would have just been so miserable. You've
just been like, f this concert.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
Oh absolutely, I've been Give me out of here. I
would have gone to see Hendrix and then I would
have left. I mean, like, give me on a you know,
the first thing smoke it out of this place.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
This is brutal.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Yeah, Like, if they're like the hippie section, I'm not there.
I'll be there for the other cool parts of it.
But not no, not the no, not down with the vibe.
Can't get down that way.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
I don't know. I don't know what it is with me,
but that's where I'm at.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
I don't want to end on this note, but I
kind of have to pay it off. And it's the
reality of what's going on here. There was a there
was a positive spin on a horrible practice and I
just thought it was interesting. So this is Justin Fields,
Jet's new quarterback here, and he was terrible for a

(35:54):
third straight practice in a row. Okay, the offense is
just doing terrible. In training camp he threw two interceptions
and team drills he threw another pick in seven on
seven and for the last three practices. Someone's even charting
his numbers. He's fifteen for forty two. Not great, not
killing it. Also held the ball too long, shockingly, got

(36:17):
sacked three times. It's not working out well, not going well,
and Justin Fields had an incredibly positive spin on this
is what he said, trying to look forward here is
Justin Fields.

Speaker 6 (36:29):
It's a great opportunity to see, you know how we're
going to respond on Thursday.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
There we go.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
Yes, I threw three picks, horrible, third straight day in
a row. Defense got the best of us. It's an
opportunity for Thursday. That's the day we're circling. Thursday. Let's
get after it. And this is the bigger picture. This
is what I figured out about myself today. You ever
figure something else out about yourself and you didn't realize it,
That's what happened to me today. I'm not against positivity. Now,

(36:57):
judging from the segment, you might debate that, but you
have to trust me. I am not against positivity. But
I am against hippie positivity. And I'm also against positivity
that's unrealistic. I didn't realize that about myself, but I
figured it out today. I'm against unrealistic positivity. If someone said, hey, uh,

(37:21):
maybe the Titan's gonna win the Super Bowl this season,
that is unrealistic positivity. I'm against that. It's gotta make
some sense. If someone said, hey, maybe Justin Fields will
play good football this season, that is unrealistic positivity. If
you just look at this objectively, it's not in the
cards for Justin Fields.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
Justin Fields has been a.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
Below average quarterbacks quarterback for we'll say three seasons. He
played a little bit with the Steelers last season, but
not much, not much of a sample size at all.
We're talking six games. That's not much to go on.
In those six games, respect it was respectable. I'll give
him some credit. In those six games they went four
and two, threw five touchdowns, only one pick. He was respectable.

(38:08):
Passer ratings around ninety three. That's okay, it's not bad.
Very short sample size, but three years in Chicago nothing
to write home about. Topped out at seventeen touchdown passes
his second season. That's the most he's had in a season.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
His last year.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
He had Dj Moore at wide receiver, Cole Kmet at
tight end. That's enough to be more productive than he was.
He's not an accurate guy, holds onto the ball too long,
doesn't put up numbers. And now he's with the Jets team.
I didn't even realize it was this bad fun fact
for you. The Jets have had a bottom ten scoring

(38:45):
offense for nine straight seasons.

Speaker 1 (38:48):
Nine years in a.

Speaker 2 (38:49):
Row they've been bottom ten in scoring and now they're
having Justin Fields take over for Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers
struggled with that offense. You think Justin Field is gonna
turn the corner here? What would make you think that?
What are his weapons? He's got Garrett Wilson And that's

(39:12):
the end of the list. Garrett Wilson is a very
good wide receiver. That's pretty much all he's got. You
think Justin Fields with a bottom ten scoring offense for
the last nine seasons, he's just gonna take over after
stinking it up day in, day out in practice. When
lights turn on in its regular season, it's go time.

(39:33):
The lights probably aren't gonna be on. That's unfair. Just's
gonna be playing a lot of times at one pm
Eastern on a Sunday, that primetime games galore or anything, right,
But when it's the regular season, it's he's not gonna
kick it into high gear.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
Sorry.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
It's like all these people keep waiting for Justin Fields,
who's a great athlete, to put it together and be
a competent NFL quarterback. I'm here to tell you this
isn't personal, and I'll be rooting against the guy. This
is me just looking at everything object objectively, it is
not in the cards. It's not so it's gonna be

(40:14):
a rough year, and anybody thinking the opposite that it's unrealistic.

Speaker 1 (40:18):
Positivity.

Speaker 2 (40:19):
I hate to end on that note, but I think
it's accurate for whatever that's worth.

Speaker 1 (40:26):
Hey, i'll tell you what. We'll end on a positive note,
come hell or high water tomorrow morning.
