Tyro dot Com the way tire buying should be. We'll
get to our Tyraq play of the day a little
bit later on in the segment. In the meantime, couple

(00:48):
of stories that I think are worthy. And here's how
it works. When you're doing sports radio, You're doing a
national show and I get questions all the time, Hey,
how do you decide what you're going to talk about?
And how I was trained in this business is you
need to talk about the thing that the most people

(01:09):
care about.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
That's it the most people care about. So I think
if I asked Dan Buyer, Dan has been all over
these owners meetings and some of the potential rule changes. Now. Look,
more people watch the NFL than watch anything else, So
I don't think that logic is wrong. If I was
to ask Jay stew he might say, Hey, you know,

(01:33):
we have the NBA Conference Finals beginning tonight. Does that
take precedence because more people watch the NBA and the
NBA Finals, they will watch like the WNBA for example.
It's a strong point. It might wouldn't be wrong. But
I still think this Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese thing,

(01:56):
because it now has like branches off, I think it's
still the lead topic of the day. It doesn't mean
that Dan's wrong, right, If they eliminate the tush push
during the show, will go and break it down for you,
and it does live within the show, right, And there's

(02:17):
the idea of do they change the playoff format? I
think all of that is interesting, But we have this
unbelievable trajectory of a female athlete. You have race, you

(02:40):
have a rivalry, it's clearly basketball season. You have profound talent,
and sadly you have a lot of drama that goes
along with it. So I think when you have all
those factors, it's still interesting, and then you have like

(03:03):
we're kind of caught in between. And I don't know
how far it goes back, but it definitely prebates covid
where our society has trended towards, and especially the WNBA
has trended towards. I think saying woke is is it?

(03:23):
The term woke carries with it, at least now, a
negative impact on any conversation.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Right.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
You could say progressive, but it was it was like
what it's like to be a husband, apologize first, even
before you know if anything's done gone wrong, right people us.
One of my assistants, Dennis Harrington, got married last weekend.
Jordan McCain's getting married in two weekends. The what's some
advice to get you get married? Hey, just wake up

(03:52):
and apologize for whatever, because it's always your fault, right,
And that's what has happened over the past five for
six years, and that even happened with the WNBA. Take
a listen to Caitlin Clark. She was talking about this
investigation to hate speech at her game on Saturday.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
There's no place for that in our game. There's no
place for that in society. And you know, certainly we
want every person that comes into our arena, whether player, weather, fan,
to have a great experience. So I appreciate the league
doing that. I appreciate, you know, the Fever organization has
been the forefront of that since you know, really day
one and what they're doing. So you know, hopefully the
investigation will leave that up to them to find anything
and take the proper action.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
If so.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yeah, So it's it's a little bit like, well, what
are we actually investigating here? I said it yesterday, and
I mean it. If anybody made said racially in sensitive
marks or made cat calls of any time that were uncomfortable,
you don't think they'd be pointed out by other Fever fans,

(04:57):
especially when the highest percentage of people that go to WNBA,
specifically Caitlin Clark Kames, are women and young girls. Of course,
So I'm sorry, I don't believe that people were chanting
or mimicking or mocking the way in which it's it

(05:20):
was perceived by something. I also, and I think Sam,
you texted me this. It is like a scarlet letter
to people in Indiana when you call them a racist,
like let racists, Like, what are they? What am I
supposed to do with that? You know? What am I
supposed to do with it?

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (05:39):
The fact that the investigation was opened, period, whether it
results in anything or not, it's still people are gonna
revalidate it.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Yeah, it validates. No, it validates. Oh yeah, but investigation
something goes wrong. But it's like, I don't know, and
it does push us curiously close to that point of, Hey,
I'm so annoyed by the whole thing, I just don't
even care anymore. I don't want to watch. I feel
like on some level, and anybody who's ever had a

(06:09):
family member like this where in their own household they're
not heard, or their husband their wife's not around a lot,
or maybe they're an empty nester now, and then you
have a conversation with them and they just up up
right like or even if you travel a lot for
work and you come home and your wife doesn't work
and she doesn't have the ability to have like adult

(06:31):
conversations because she's managing the kids, she's just go right
like she's just I almost feel like women's basketball because
it has not because no one has cared for twenty
five years. They've built up this like unbelievable depth of
energy negativity towards media, non fans or whatever that the

(06:56):
second you go like just turn the microphone to them.
They they it's just years and years of resentment just
going out, going off and like, hey, I just I
want to know about the hard foul or if it
was a hard foul, like I. Then you have Ryan

(07:16):
Clark and RG three. Ryan Clark's a former NFL player.
RG three is a former NFL player and Heisman Tuphy winner.
They both on different levels cover sports. RG three now
works for US at Fox. Ryan Clark works for Inside
the NFL at ESPN. So take a listen to Ryan
Clark as he addresses rg's three's comments that Angel Reese

(07:37):
looks like she hates Caitlin.

Speaker 5 (07:38):
Clark when RG three jumps on to the hate train
or to the angry train, and now follows along with
what we saw from Keith Oberman, what we saw from
the portinoy as they poured on to Andrew Reese to
make Cord the villain and Caitlin Clark's hero roic or
hero story right, the one thing we know about Rgie

(08:00):
is he's not having conversations at his home about what
black women have to endure in this country, about what
young black women and athletes like Angel Reese have had
to deal with. So there's no need to pin those
two against each other and paint them based on stereotypical tropes.
And I think this is what I like RG three

(08:21):
to know that no matter how much he continues to
echo the micro aggressions of racist, he'll be no less
black than me.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Yeah, you know you're getting super deep on do you
date or marry black women? Do you date or marry
white guys? You can't talk about things and racial tropes
and whatever. I think I learned this from my son.
Maybe it's from one of my daughters a couple of
years ago. There's an expression that young people have and
I like to use it, which is not that deep. Right.

(08:58):
I gotta I gotta message on Instagram from somebody today.
Let me just see who wrote this? Hmmm, ah man
where he said here? It is? Uh no, Yeah, Clarence
Miles comments about the fever were tone deaf. Indiana is

(09:23):
the birthplace birthplace of KKK. If you don't think somewhere
or a group of people didn't say anything racist, then
what country have you been living in the United States? Uh,
because that's definitely the climate in this country, especially with
Trump in office. Listen to your show, but got to
tune you out now because America, because in America, all

(09:45):
things are race related. Again, Like, if you start with
the premise that all things are race related, then there's
no real point of having a discussion. If you assume
that there had to be a group of people had
to be because Donald Trump's an office that are yelling
racial things at the Indiana Fever game, despite the fact

(10:05):
there's no proof to support that, just because you think it,
there's no real ability to have a discussion. And the
idea that we went from talking about a foul and yeah,
it does mean based upon body language, I think most
of us are like, it appears pretty obvious that Agel
Rees doesn't like Caitlin Clark. Does anyone argue with that?

(10:32):
I don't think anybody does. Okay, So to take that
into some discussion about race, about black women, about the
birthplace of the KKK, or the assumption of racist things
being yelled out from a crowd when no one heard it,
and it seems super far fetched. That's not the type
of audience that happens in. Sorry to tell you, I

(10:57):
just I'm really lost in this discussion. It disappoints me,
it doesn't surprise me. But it also shows that it's
like the WNBA is so caught up in all things political,
we just can't even appreciate the fact that they've actually
gotten to be Caitlin and Clark makes it watchable basketball.

(11:18):
Maybe that's the statement that we need to say the WNBA,
you were unwatchable. You were because a lot of the
WNBA greats mirrored what Angel Reese does. Not terribly skilled,
super aggressive, tough, hard nose, competitive, all great things, but

(11:41):
there just wasn't a skill there. You're like, yeah, it's fine,
I just don't want to watch it now. People want
to watch it, and we're making about wanting to watch
it because it's about race, it's about racial tropes, it's
about a million things that it's not really about. Byer,
I know, this wouldn't have been your lead story of
the day.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Well, you're putting words in my mouth.

Speaker 7 (12:03):
You ask for topics before the show, and I just
gave you some topics that I thought were interesting. There's
nothing about a lead or anything like that, or just
stuff of going on in sports today.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Okay, so in your mind.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Here's my thing.

Speaker 7 (12:19):
I said all along that I felt that Angel Reese
was waiting for that Caitlin Clark thing to happen, and
first Caitlin Clark to do something wrong. So it happened
on Saturday for what she felt was the reason for it.
Now we are here on Tuesday, and we're still talking
about this because people are having to put out statements,

(12:42):
Investigations are being made, are taking place because of accusations
that were made, whether they're real or not.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
I do think that you.

Speaker 7 (12:51):
Have to look through them or at least address them.
But what that then tells me if these are false allegations,
if nothing was said, which I actually don't think anything
like you, Doug think anything was said to me, it's
when is the WNBA going to separate Caitlin Clark and
Angel Reese because it is now starting what I think

(13:14):
is hurting Caitlin Clark in a way where now she's
being dragged into this again and she's having to make
comments again about a situation that didn't even exist. But
yet the WNBA is like rivalry, Let's put the sky
and let's put the fever together.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Caitlin Clark is a superstar.

Speaker 7 (13:35):
I once questioned whether she was more popular than Aaron
Judge last year. I'm still getting tweets today about this
conversation from the Caitlin Clark fans. She is obviously a
super superstar, but she's being held back by all of this.
Now she should be in the conversation of the WNBA,
and is she going to beat out Asia Wilson for

(13:57):
the MVP and allow those boats to rise Instead, I
feel like she's being completely held back. And we're sitting
here talking about a conversation that really keeps Angel Reese
in the public eye, and that's the only one who
it really benefits. And that's the part where like I
think the WNBA in a way is complicit in some
of this, because here we are three days later, still
talking about an incident that you, me, and everybody who's

(14:20):
played basketball knows.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
It's a basketball play, right.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
And oh yeah, by the way, Angel Reese's reaction is
very much like a basketball It's like, honestly, kind of
what happens at the park. A lot of times you
get fouled you're going in for le Hey, hey, what's
going on now? She kind of looked like she was
going to take a swing, which is above beyond, but
it's kind of a nothing burger that is made into
something gigantic because Angel wants to make it into something substantial.

Speaker 7 (14:48):
Yeah, I think that it's looked at is I'll look
at this rivalry, look at this blah blah blah, when
I actually I think it's putting Kaitlyn Clark again. I
think it was the same situation last year you guys
were talking about, But now I feel like Kitlin Clark's
got into this role where everybody in the WNBA, you know,
appreciates her and understands her effect. And now we're still
dealing with the stuff that we've dealt with the last

(15:09):
two or three years.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
It's fair. Do you think it's to a point yet
where people just, I mean, I sort of cared and
now I just can't. I just can't because we do
get to the you know, it's like I grew up

(15:30):
in southern California listening to Kiss FM, and I remember
when Borderline came on Madonna Okay, and I was I
think summer after second grade, right, it was like Rick
D's would play that soccer at like nine o'clock every morning.
But by month three, You're like, dude, I've heard borderline
at least ten times every day on Kiss FM, Like,

(15:51):
have we gotten to the saturation point where people that
were kind of mainstream non WNBA fans that now we're
kind of paying tenser? Like, yeah, I just I don't
care that much. I can't do this.

Speaker 7 (16:06):
I I think I'm tired of it. I think that
other people probably are tired of it. But I just
think that the WNBA plays a role in this, and
I don't think that that's necessarily fair.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
I think I agree with you on the WNBA playing
role on it. I think the WNBA is following a
little bit of the NBA's model, and I don't think
it works for the WNBA. I don't. They're like, hey,
they have drama, yes, but you're like, it's like a
copy of a copy. Sure it doesn't have the same effect.

Speaker 7 (16:41):
How about opening the season with Caitlin Clark and the
Fever taking on the defending champs.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
Why not wouldn't that be the same? Sam?

Speaker 6 (16:50):
Are you like, Yeah, No, I think that would pull
huge ratings in.

Speaker 7 (16:53):
Yeah, but instead they're like, guess what, Let's go play
the Angel rees Kaitlin Clark card again. Let's play that
one again. I got just like Doug saying with Rick
D's let's play it again.

Speaker 6 (17:02):
I gotta be honest. So I was excited about the
sky Fever matchup.

Speaker 7 (17:07):
For yeah, and then it was a thirty five point
win or whatever it was. And we're still.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
Talking about thirty piece. You know they got they got
thirty pece.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
Like there's no reason right now. Maybe maybe that's.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
The brilliance to it is. No one's mentioned except us
that it was a thirty.

Speaker 6 (17:19):
The game itself got left behind in the dust.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
It really did.

Speaker 8 (17:23):
Be sure to catch the live edition of The Doug
Gottlieb Show weekdays at three pm Eastern noon Pacific on
Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Doug Gottlieb Show, Fox Sports Radio. Thank you Sam for
paying attention. Love that. Okay, So, byer, you've been tracking
these the rule changes. Okay, give me the potential proposed
rule changes that are out there for the owners this week.

Speaker 7 (17:53):
Well, so the two big ones are the tush push
in the playoff seating. We feel that the NFL will Okay,
the flight football participation in the twenty twenty eight games
that was reported earlier today, the question is do you
receive the playoffs one through seven based on record, with
the tiebreaker going to the division winner, and then do
you get rid of the tush push? Now, the Packers,

(18:15):
instead of trying to make it so personal with the Eagles,
have now revised the language of their proposal in saying
that any pushing or pulling of the ball carrier at
any point on the field should not be allowed. That's
how they've changed their language. The receeding process, or the
changing of the seeding process, would eliminate a division winner

(18:37):
from being the four seed. If they had the worst
record of the seven playoff teams, they would end up
being the seventh seed in that scenario, So the division
would just basically give you a playoff berth, where then
home field would go to the second, third, and fourth
seeds whether or not you won the division.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Let's bring in John Middlkoff. Of course we have on
a weekly basis. You can hear his podcast on the
Volume podcast network. He joins us now in the Doug
Outlet Joe on Fox Sports Radio. John, Let's let's start
with the with the Toush push. What do you think
of the idea of, hey, you just you can't push
another player offensive player at any point in time, in

(19:19):
any space in the field.

Speaker 9 (19:21):
You know, my overall take on the toushbush, I'm kind
of indifferent, Like I if it goes away, I'm cool.
If it stays, I'm cool because anyone can do it.
But basically every team doesn't have a guy that's squats.
Whatever he squatts, it's seven hundred pounds, six hundred pounds.
We thought Josh Allen, you know, attempt a quarterbacks sneak
and him getting throttled in the AFC Championship game against

(19:45):
the Chiefs, couldn't gain half the yard. And he's one
of the bigger, stronger guys in the league. So I
mean a huge advantage of the touch push is Jalen
Hurts and his willingness you know, to go low Tom
Brady forever. It wasn't the Toush push, but was like
an unsolvable force on on the you know, the quarterback sneak. Now, clearly,
like I get it from the league, it's kind of

(20:05):
a boring play. They're obsessed with like interest and you know,
Roger Goodell seems hell bent on making sure this thing
goes I mean even Lafloor, right, it's kind of alluded
to do. Yeah, we were kind of the They put
some pressure on us to kind of be the lead
dog year. But it's coming from the league, and you know,
I would expect the next twenty four to forty eight

(20:27):
hours whenever this votes it to go away. But it
doesn't bother me like it does some people.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
Okay, what about the playoff seating my argument against I
know it's easy to say, hey, you know how many
times we've had below five hundred winners of their division
and yet they get a home they get a home game.
On the other hand, if we go just on raw record,

(20:56):
I take the I point out the NFC North and
the AFC West last year benefited from easy schedules because
the divisions they crossed over against were bad, and we
take we don't take into in any other sport, we
take into account the strength of the schedule. We're not
going to do that in the NFL. How do you
make a more perfect system?

Speaker 9 (21:16):
Yeah, there probably isn't a way here. I mean I
think we saw it last year, right with college football,
trying to get those teams the last four or five slots,
and you realize even inside the big conferences now like Indiana,
it's like, well them in Penn State playing Ohio State,
playing Michigan playing Oregon, and you got Indiana playing me
and you, so it like wasn't quite the same. And

(21:39):
my overall take has always been, like I do understand.
You know, division games are hard, right in any sport
at any level, especially you know in football in the pros,
you play a team twice. How often do we see
like a twelve, thirteen to fourteen win team, one of
their losses is usually some team in their division. I

(21:59):
would have no problem if you're under double digit wins,
like if you win the division at nine and eight
or lower, like you don't get the host of playoff
game like last year the RAM We're ten and seven
and the game ended up moving because of the fires.
But like, like, I have no problem with that. But
we've seen over the course of I don't know the
last fifteen years.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Stuck out leap show here on Fox Sports, fort John
Middlecoff returns to us. Hey let's get to more football
he stuff, shall we? I mean again, I'm not saying
we'll talk more about the schedule and the playoffs upcoming.
When do we get the point of no return with
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers and the Steelers?

Speaker 9 (22:38):
Excuse me, well, I mean I do think I saw
a picture today that the Browns are on the field
for OTAs, Like I think I get it. Over the years,
remember the last couple of years in Green Bays, like
I don't really need to be here. I had no
issues with that, right, But then he went to a
new team and it was there was more emphasis on
the offseason. I mean a bunch of guys like it's

(22:58):
one thing to throw to DK at UCLA, right, but
you got a rookie running back, you got a new
group of offensive linemen, you have a coach that you've
never worked with in Arthur Smith. I do think it's
kind of important to at least be on the field
for a couple of weeks of OTA, to have a
base going into training camp. You know, we have seen historically, right,
some older players an Aaron Donald, Michael Strahan back in

(23:21):
the day, I've seen holdout guys just skip everything in
the show up late in training camp. But they had
been on the team and they had known the scheme.
I do think, I mean, at this point in time,
I mean, in a weird way, I'm not even expecting anything.
But I do think it's kind of getting crazy if
he does plan on playing.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
You think, I mean, it's just no nothing announcement. I mean,
the only card he could be playing is I'm going
to stay in shape and wait for somebody I really
want to play for to call me. And I don't
really want to play for the Steelers. I think that's
the only thing I can think of. And I don't
know how many of those teams are out there for him,

(24:00):
and of those teams who would actually call him, But
it's a it's just a very weird place to be, uh.
Dereck Henry restructures deal. We saw Saquon Barkley get a
new deal. What did the next couple of years look
like for Dereck Henry in Baltimore?

Speaker 9 (24:16):
Well, I mean, I think a lot of people are like,
this is not going to work out. Sexy name, you know,
let's face that. The Cowboys were like, yeah, we're not
paying that guy. And then he looked like the Hall
of Fame in his prime guy. And I was someone
mentioned this the other day. I forget where I saw it,
maybe on Instagram. That like the underrated part about Derek
is how serious he takes, like his craft, not just

(24:39):
on the field, but like his diet, how hard he works,
how he doesn't party like there's a pretty serious cat.
And you know, I would say the one thing over
the years, you know, the Ravens are pretty good at
like dabbling with the older, high level guy that still
has a couple of years left. And what I saw
Derek Henry last year, I thought it looked fantastic. I

(25:00):
mean even by the end of the season. I mean
for a guy thirty two years old, thirty one years old,
who has a lot of tread on those tires, even
going back to college, I bet he looked as good
as he did in like his peak with Vrabel and
the Titans. So I think it's a no brainer. The
other thing is when you pay running backs, even the
Saquan thing, and I think you saw it with the Niners,

(25:21):
like with Kittle and Fred Warner. Certain positions, like when
you break off you're going to take care of a
wide receiver or a pass rusher. It's really really expensive.
There are three or four positions even guards now are
making twenty five million dollars a year, that is not
the case. Still, with running backs and linebackers, you can
get relatively cheap compared to other positions.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
Stut Gottlieb show here on Fox Sports Radio, Brock Perty,
we now know that the details of the contract right.
We had known this was coming. We've discussed a lot
now that it's actually in the ink. Has Dride what
do you think?

Speaker 9 (26:01):
I mean? I think he ultimately gave him a deal.
I mean he could have made a big stink in.
When I say him, his agent, his people negotiating, I
mean they could have gone to Dak Prescott route. And
at the end of the day, the forty nine ers
are pretty tied to this guy because the coach loves
him and they don't have any other options kind of
what Dak does the Cowboys and Dak got two hundred
and thirty million dollars in total guaranteed and this guy

(26:22):
got one hundred and eighty. When I've seen this guy
beat Dak multiple times and obviously one game to the
playoffs with him, So it's like if you just even
throw off the top guys, the Burrows, the Josh Allens,
because we know Dak and pretty aren't in that category.
Let's just compare him to that and Trevor Lawrence last year,
who pulled one of the great scams we've ever seen,

(26:42):
get two hundred million dollars. He got less than that.
So I just think if you're Brock Pirty and you've
been a winning quarterback, it just the market to the market.
And the other thing is, you know, if you look
in the conference like Jalen and Golf, who make about
what Brock makes, their teams loaded up and did a
good job of building up around them. I mean the Eagles,

(27:04):
how many high priced players the Eagles have. So we
knew this guy was going to get paid. It was
just about the money. And I think ultimately it's not
as crazy, you know. I think people like me and like,
could you get him for the Brock the Baker Mayfield deal. No,
And that's the deal that Jason Life probably is telling everyone, Yeah,
we're probably gonna have to redo this. The Baker has
another good deal or another good year, and that's probably true.

(27:25):
But it's on now the front office and Kyle to
get the job done because Brock is kind of established.
He is what he is and if you do a
good enough job around him, you can win with him.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
We have a tendency to talk about five or six teams.
Is there anybody we are not talking about we should
be for this upcoming season?

Speaker 9 (27:45):
Well, I mean I think I was watching this video
that the Patriots put out, I had to think the
upgraded coach there from a guy that was clearly over
Skis and Mayo to go to Brabel. If you look
at their schedule, it's pretty easy if you're like me,
really down on the Dolphins and think the Jets, I mean,
I know they got good players, but I'll just bet

(28:06):
against that organization. I do think the Patriots. You know
you had mentioned earlier about the Broncos and the Chargers,
like with schedules, I mean they I think both those
teams were bullish on their future with their coach and
their quarterback and the infrastructure, but they deverely benefited last
year from the schedule. I think if you look at
the Patriots schedule, it's a little like the Niners. It's like,

(28:28):
you know, if you get good coaching and solid quarterback
play and just tough defense like this, I don't care
if you still lack a little talent, this should be
a ten win team. So now the difference, Like the
Niners I think are going to end up winning ten
games because of their schedule. The Patriots still have some
questions like how good is Drake? But I think it's
fair to say people are pretty bullish on Drake. And

(28:50):
we've also seen Raybell, you know, win with Tanniel. So
I'm pretty high on the Patriots going into the season.
A lot like, you know, you talked me out of
I was like, I love the Chargers like five to
one to make the playoffs, and you know I got
talked out of. It was this year a lot of
people did that. I will not have the same thing
happen to me with the Patriots. But I would imagine

(29:11):
the Patriots aren't going to be as quicy odds by
the time we get close to the season.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
He's John mit Ocoff, host of Three and Out podcast
and the Volume podcast Network. John, great stuff, Thanks for

Speaker 9 (29:21):

This is game time on the Doug Gottlieb Show.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
Dann buy It. What's the game today, Doug?

Speaker 3 (30:33):
The game today is Rank Them, a special edition.

Speaker 7 (30:38):
Of Rank Them. You're gonna find out why in just
a second. But first let's get to the first question
on the board, Doug ranked the four remaining teams left
in the NBA playoffs. Got a one seed, We've got
a four seed, we've got a three seed, we have
a six seed.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
I'll put the Pacers at four, the Knicks at three,
the Wolves at two, and the Thunder at one.

Speaker 7 (31:18):
Okay, okay, see that would be a one, six, three
four in that order.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
They are at niner in there?

Speaker 3 (31:26):
What's that?

Speaker 2 (31:27):
Nothing?

Speaker 3 (31:31):
Over all? Right?

Speaker 7 (31:34):
I will now be turning over this next question to Iowa.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
Sam.

Speaker 7 (31:40):
He had this in his pocket and wanted to present
it to you, Doug today. Well, you want to present
it to me, but I want him to do it.
This is his question, Sam, Go ahead.

Speaker 6 (31:49):
Thank you, Dan.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Doug.

Speaker 6 (31:51):
We all know that there are sponsor patches on these
NBA jerseys. Rank the visual appeal of each patch of
these final four NBA teams.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Okay, so you got You have Abu dab experienced Abu
Dhabi on the Knicks, right, Yes, you have spoke note
with the QR code on the Pacers. You have Sesel s.
I don't know what sesel is its f and you

(32:24):
have Loves Loves, which is loves is the what's the
big gas station in Texas. I was just at the keys. Yeah,
it's like the buckets of Oklahoma's Loves truck stops.

Speaker 6 (32:39):
Kind of like flying j Yes.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
Yeah, so I'll go loves one good good pick. My
My reason is one love. That's great. Two. The colors
actually work with the vendor colors, right. It all kind
of works. Mary's together. Those are the big things. Uh,
I'm gonna do the spoke note at two.

Speaker 6 (33:04):
Three, No, at two, okay, okay, at two. Wow.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
My logic behind it is, I don't know what it is,
but it's way easier to look up a QR code
than it is to look up something else. He just
likes it. Actually makes me want to take my camera
out and snap a shot of it.

Speaker 9 (33:20):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
And it works with the pacers with the pacers uniform
to sign.

Speaker 6 (33:24):
But what what are you supposed to? Are you supposed
to take your camera and go up to the TV
and like wait for a player to get the line?

Speaker 2 (33:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (33:31):
Is that what we're supposed to do?

Speaker 2 (33:32):
I guess yeah.

Speaker 6 (33:34):
I don't know if that's gonna work. I guess it does.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
And then I'll go with experienced Abu Dhabi at three
of that. Just again, it works with the Knicks uniforms.
It's white with blue blue letters that which works on
the next uniform. And then I'll do Sesel owned by
Cesel Fielder apparently per dan Byer, because it doesn't really
match with anything, and I don't know what it is

(33:59):
and I don't have a QR code, so I have
to go and type in secyl, which can be done
or as Siri Siri, what is Cecil?

Speaker 6 (34:06):
I can be SERIRIU for you. Ceesel is a publicly
traded financial technology company headquartered in Minneapolis, so local sponsor.

Speaker 3 (34:13):
That's cool.

Speaker 7 (34:14):
The way that Timberwolves uniforms are, they've kind of got
a different like almost like a section where it fits
very nicely in their road or home or whatever we're
calling the uniforms now, But it does fit like between
the two panels of Jersey, which I do think is unique.
And I will say this, I thought this was going

(34:36):
to be an absolute train wreck and was all for
it so we could just pile on. But it was
the exact opposite that was done very well. Oh good,
good job. Iowa Sam and he provided the images to
Doug prior to the to the segment. That's a lot
of work I just.

Speaker 6 (34:53):
I know how much you love uniforms, Dan, and yeah
like accoutrement, and I thought the Love's patch is really pop.
And I.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
Also love the family at home.

Speaker 7 (35:03):
That's like, okay, we could go to Disney World, we
could go to the Ozarks, or we could experience Abu
dab Dabi?

Speaker 3 (35:10):
Yes? Which one? Which one is in our budget? All right? Doug,
rank your three.

Speaker 7 (35:15):
Favorite collegiate spring sports spring sports as we're winding down
with some national championships going on spring sports.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
I know what one and two are. What is my
third option? I guess do I have to do? I
wouldn't do spring football, which is spring sports? Oh uh, equestrian?
Is that three?

Speaker 3 (35:39):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (35:41):
Uh? At two will be women's softball, which, honestly, in
comparison the j exposition of women's softball in the postseason
to women's softball at any other time, like never watch it.
And I always watched the World Series in Oklhom City.
I think a lot of people do. And then number one,
it's called baseball college baseball World Series. You haven't been

(36:02):
to Omaha for it? It's pretty awesome. You didn't know this.
I went to Arizona State, Oklahoma State on Saturday in Stillwater,
Oklahma Stake had lead, fell apart, winning and then had
back to back to back home runs. I was like, wow,
that was amazing and they won the game. Cowboys going
to the Big Twelve Tournament. I think they start tomorrow

(36:24):
winners of nine their last ten.

Speaker 7 (36:26):
Interesting though, Jason and I only go to Arizona State
Oklahoma State football games.

Speaker 3 (36:30):
The only ones that we go to.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
No cam Scattabo.

Speaker 3 (36:36):
All right.

Speaker 7 (36:36):
Finally, Doug, rank your three favorite golf clubs to hit,
so you and Hayes are on the court this week.
Of course this week I mean favor.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
Not I'm hitting my driver actually really well, now good
or it was actually a rental driver there, so ill
driver at three. As you know, I love my three wood, yes,
three wood, and then my favorite and then my favorite
one is without any question, the seven iron.

Speaker 7 (37:02):
Seventh iron, seven iron, love saying, all right, that's game time.

Speaker 2 (37:10):
This is game time. On the Doug Gottlieb Show, Sad News.
George went who played Norm in Cheers, dead at the
age of seventy six years old. Cheers was my that
was our family show, right, family show, and he'd always
walk in Good afternoon, everybody no, what's checking on me?

(37:31):
And he would say something. Everybody laugh. So sad, sad dudes.
