Speaker 2 (00:18):
Boom of America. Doug Gottlieb Show, Fox Sports Radio. I
hope you're having the greatest day you've ever had in
your entire life. I mean, I do feel like you'd
be wasting it if it was today, but and listening
to me, but still, I'm legitimately hoping that today is
the greatest day and that tomorrow is better than today.
That's what I hope. Doug Gottlieb Show, Fox Sports Radio.

(00:49):
I do feel a little bit like cowherds saying this,
but it is true. There's certain things that if you
get it right, the rest kind of falls into place. Right.
It It works that way in life. You know, in
relationship people will tell you that in relationships, if your
relationship is in a good place, like all right, well

(01:09):
you work and all that other stuff, like, eh, it
doesn't matter, nothing else matters as much like Hey, I'm
good at home, I'm good in life. When you buy
a home, generally, generally, if one the neighborhood and location
is right, and two if they get kind of the

(01:30):
kitchen right, the rest can all be figured out right.
The main thing when you're in a home, like, where
do you spend most of your time? Right your own bed,
your own bedroom. It's one reason I've obviously sleep number
is a huge part of this show. They've been a
sponsor to the show for over two years now, and

(01:51):
it's one of the things. When you sleep, you're in
your bed more than you're any place on earth right,
anywhere between six and nine hours a night, every night.
So if you get that right, generally you sleep well,
you're happy in your bed. You're gonna be a happier person.
When your relationship is right. Generally, the rest of your

(02:14):
life is going to be better. You'll you'll whether or
not your interaction with your friends is perfect or not.
At least when you go home at night, the person
who is your person like you're good there. When that
isn't right, nothing works when your bed's not comfortable, nothing
works when the kitchen in your home is janky and
stuff isn't like nothing, nothing works. I don't care who

(02:37):
you are. Like, if you go into your kitchen and
your dishwasher isn't working, don't stop with the fake mail
chauvinist jokes. I know the line. I'm talking about your real,
actual dishwasher. When that's not working and you got a
bunch of dishes in the sink, you're like, ough, you
don't even want to go in there. And when you
don't want to hang in your kitchen, where are you
going to hang in your house? That's where the food is,
That's where the gathering area is. In in sports, when

(03:02):
you get the quarterback right, everything just becomes right. That's
the reality to it. If you get the quarterback right,
everything else falls into place. Don't get me wrong, I
think they're way better coached than they were last year.
I'm talking about the New England Patriots. I think anybody

(03:23):
can see that they are better coached than they were
last year. They have retrofitted and remade their defense in
a short concit fashion and it's way better than anybody
could have thought. All these things are in fact true,
but none of it matters, none of it if you

(03:44):
don't get the quarterback position. Right right, and they got
the quarterback position right. And because they got it right,
everything else in New England like now it's all possible.
It's legit all possible, and it wasn't previously. Last night,

(04:06):
the New England Patriots dominate the New York Giants. Giants
have fired their GM. As of today, they've already fired
their coach. I'll get to Jackson Dart in a moment,
but you cannot help but be impressed. Oh they didn't.
That was the fake does fake account? Okay, thanks, But

(04:28):
the Pats are where they are. Did they fix the
coaching staff? Yes? Did they change the defense with eight
free agents that are starters, Yes, but none of it
works if the quarterback hasn't improved and isn't playing the
way he's playing and doesn't have everything together. Again, I'm

(04:51):
not dismissing coaching because that's helped the quarterback and that's
helped the overall team. I'm not dismissing the defense because
it is way better, considering it was put together sort
of on the fly and it's only year one. I'm
not dismissing that. But Drake may playing like a season vet,
like a burgeoning star in the league. Makes everything. Okay,

(05:14):
here's Mike Brabile talking about his quarterbacks performance.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
I think he's able to keep his composure, keep his
eyes downfield, you know. I thought he you know, makes
some of the best plays. I think are just the
extensions to scramble for a first down, you know, to
scramble and stay in bounds there late in the game,
knowing the situation forces them to call a time out,
and then you know, not throwing in completion there at
the end of the game, and you know, scramble unselfishly.

(05:40):
He probably could have said, hey, I'm going to try
to throw a touchdown and you know, just go and
slide and you know, use the clock. So those are
the things that probably don't show up on the stat sheet.
I thought, you know, being accurate downfield and being able
to give you okay, Sean a real catchable ball there,
and the end zone was nice too.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
I look, I don't know if they've gotten to the
level where a we have our next Tom Brady, but
you gotta feel really good if you're a Pats fan.
When we think if you're a Pats fan, you gotta
feel really good about where you are and where you're
going now on the other hand, you got you have
a guy who has some swagger, has some ability in

(06:24):
a Jackson Dart as their new quarterback. First thing is,
I will give you my thoughts on exactly what I thought,
exactly what I thought when when Jackson Dart was hit
wall inbounds wall imbounds by what's the Packers Pats linebacker's name?

(06:50):
My thought on it, Yeah, My thought was what a
great hit. That's a football play. And when I saw
this again, this is gonna feel judgmental, and it is.
Have you seen Jay Stu the video of Jackson Dart
kind of fixing his hair before the postgame presser rings

(07:15):
the belt? Okay? Have you seen the video of Jackson
Dart walking in with that oversized all leather kind of
trench coat. Sure, ye, okay, those two things are for vanity,
right because those that big. I've tried on that leather
trench coat before. I obviously it's really expensive too. It's squeaky,

(07:37):
you know when you have real leather and you put together,
it's squeaky, and there's nothing about it that says like
super comfortable. That's for looks. That's I got a lot
of money. It's really cold outside this will keep me
super warm. But it really is the show. I got
a lot of money. It's the let's just be it's
the white guy version of the mink coat. White guys
can't pull off a mink coat, but they can pull

(07:59):
off a love coat. Fair. Are you guys saying fair?
Can I get a thumbs up? I'll be okay with that.
I'm getting a thumbs up, and then he's fixing his Here.
My thing on Jackson Dart is again, I do think
there's there's too much vanity, too much ego. And if
you didn't learn the lesson last night about getting out
of bounds, you're never gonna learn. And when you listen

(08:23):
to Drake, may you feel like he may never learn.
Here's Jackson Dart when he was asked if he's trying
to avoid shouldde try to avoid hits like the one
he received last night?

Speaker 4 (08:33):
Look, I'm gonna keep playing aggressive.

Speaker 5 (08:35):
No.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
Hopefully everybody can take a second to watch my tape
going back to high school and realize that this is
not a shock like I play the game aggressively. I
took one hit that people are talking about. I slid
got out of the way. I have a lot of hits.
So I appreciate people you know, wanting to you know,
me to be healthy and all that stuff, and I

(08:57):
want to be healthy too. But I play this game aggressive,
so I'm not I'm not gonna just change how I
play the game.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Yes you are, or you're gonna end up in a hospital,
or you're gonna end up hurt. All right. I God
bless youth, but it's wasted on the young. I there's
there's you check my high school tape out in high school?
How big is Jackson Dart? I know this answer, so
I'm asking you because I actually looked it up before
the show. Sam, you want to guess how big Jackson

(09:27):
Dart is?

Speaker 6 (09:29):
Six' four?

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Okay how many? POUNDS i don't, know six four? Okay,
uh he's six two twenty. Five so in high school
at six to, two probably one hundred and ninety five.
Pounds we? Okay saying that, right six', two two one
hundred ninety. Five pounds he's one Of the he's bigger

(09:51):
than all the cornerbacks as the size are bigger than all.
The linebackers there's another expression IN the nfl goes, like
this you don't. Get faster everybody. Else does you also
don't get stronger everybody. Else does. That's GREAT while i
was in, HIGH school i was. Super, Aggressive awesome this
is not. High school these are guys that if they,

(10:13):
hit you end up waking up not knowing what weak
it is or what your last. Name, is again there's
one thing to. Be aggressive there's a whole other thing to.
Be stupid it's the SAME reason i was explaining this to,
my son why young men why their insurance is higher
than young women because they do? Stupid stuff, he yes,

(10:34):
other son dukes of hazard once buckle, Up right hey
fast and? The furious? Did this let me? Try drifting
and To me jackson, dark, going hey check out my high.
School tape this IS who. I, am, yeah listen everybody's
high school tape. Is awesome that's why you Went to Old.
Miss on that's why you WENT to Usc and Old miss.

(10:56):
ON scholarship i, got, it understand and your college state
might be awesome. As well but you know you're not
Gonna do you're not gonna take hits in the pros
and live to tell People about i'm, just. Stunned right
that's the guy, who's, like, Ah yeah. I'M fine i took,

(11:17):
one hit how many does? It TAKE and i do
think that there's the general sense that this is the
guy For the giants to help Fix. THE giants I Like,
jackson dart, but man that start strikes me as dumb.
And stupid is really hard and ego is really hard,
to fix really hard.

Speaker 7 (11:36):
To fix.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
So, in totality when you get the, quarterback right generally
everything falls. Into place Where the patriots are now is
Where the giants hope, to be Because the giants do
have some talent, on defense and we'll see if they
can fix it with whoever they're head coaches and what
happens with their. Front Office But jackson dart's got learned
to get out, of bounds and if he matures Into

(12:03):
what drake may, has become do other? Things? Matter sure your,
offensive line that's. Gonna matter your skill, position guys that's,
Gonna matter the development of, your defense who's the coach?
Gonna matter but when you get the, quarterback right everything
else tends to fall.

Speaker 7 (12:18):
Into place be sure to catch the live Edition Of
The Doug gottlieb show weekdays at Three pm Eastern noon
Pacific On Fox sports radio And the iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
App sesame street help raise all. Of us now it's
your turn donate this holiday season at sesame dot org
because the World needs Sesame and sesame. Needs You johnmin
ocoff will join. Us, UPCOMING first i do want to
get You To lane kiffin's introductory. Press conference there's a

(12:50):
lot to discuss Here With. Lane, kiffin Still here's lane
talking about WHAT makes.

Speaker 5 (12:54):
Lsu different i'm very honored to be the head COACH.
OF lsu i can summon up by, saying this this
place is different and having watched this place for a,
long time having been on the other sidelines in, the
stadium this place, is different and that's why. We're here
there have a lot of work to do, with That
but i'm very grateful for the opportunity to lead one

(13:16):
of the elite programs in all.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Of sports, You know i've heard people being Critical Of
nick saban for giving. Him advice Here's here's kiffin when
he talked about the Advice that saban.

Speaker 5 (13:33):
Gave Him coach saban kind of coached at another place in,
This COMMERCE so I can't i can't really say exactly what,
he SAID but I see I'll say I'LL say i
think the world Of coach SABAN and i, respect him
and so there's A reason.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
I'm here, It's, Funny dan i've heard people in the
media a little bit more, social media but in, the, media,
like oh, you're working you're WORKING, for espn and you're
telling coaches To leave ole miss and GO. TO lsu
i hate to break it, to, you okay but the

(14:12):
more people in media and especially, fans talk THE more
i tune them out because they say things which are
utterly and. Completely, dumb right who would be better to
call about leaving a job to GO? To lsu and

(14:33):
THEN how lsu compares to coaching IN. The sec then
a guy who Left From michigan state to COME, to
lsu by, the way did the same thing with the
airplane planes leaving a three you want to come get on,
The plane and then he Coached at ALABAMA against lsu
and he understands. All different plus he's still involved in. College,

(14:53):
football yeah that's how actual. BUSINESS works I just i
don't even know how we've gotten this place where there
are people that have microphones in front of them that
have no true understanding how any. Business works it works
that way in. Our business if somebody's come gonna come,
and work gonna leave any of THE other i don't
know how many of their other radio networks there are

(15:14):
now because we've got to put them. To BED but,
i mean if they, knew me OR if i made,
the switch if somebody's making the switch from any of
the TWO networks i work, FROM previously i would hope
they would. Call me why Wouldn't you why wouldn't you.

Speaker 6 (15:32):
To Think That nick saban is LOYAL To ESPN where i?
Think that, but sorry that's my that's. My, employer now. That's,
who uh That's who i'm really trying to, serve here
and how can we make this better FOR the? Tv
deal like that's all just, That's, ridiculous no.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Completely ridiculous, but again it doesn't show any DISLOYALTY towards
espn in in giving somebody advice on what job. To take.
It doesn't. To me it's even more Important That nick
saban IS on tv because he's somebody that all these
guys call upon, for advice so he has a true
feel for what's, going on as opposed to most broadcasters
that are former coaches that once they're they're doing it,

(16:11):
Too long like THIS is I Know bill kauer is
as respected. As Anybody But bill kawer has been out
of the game for so long it's a completely. Different
sport dudes aren't running Things By bill kauer nearly as
much as they. Used to they're. Just not there's. Not
you once you've been out, of it. You're not he's
not a. Godfather anymore he's not guiding. Guys anymore like

(16:33):
you've switched over it from great coach. To, broadcasters now
that's the reality. To IT so i just get personally fed.
With It but nick saban or or they're Talking About
jimmy sexton clients and they're Protected Like jimmy, sexton reps
all the. BIG coaches I just i'm stunned by the
way this thing has been. Covered anyway kiffen TALKED about lsu.

(16:58):
BEING different i think. IT is i think it's, it's
everything and it was everything to People At, ole miss
but they just don't have. The resources they don't Have
the like the State of louisiana has been financially in
as bad a shape as you can, ever imagine but
you know it's not in BAD shape. Lsu football somehow

(17:19):
they come up with the MONEY for. Lsu football it.
Is everything there are, players there they already have, facilities
built and they have tons, of money and anyone who's,
Like Well ole miss offered him almost the. Same deal
it has nothing to do with. His contract it has
to do with, everything else. Everything else all he's got

(17:39):
to do is recruit and coach. Football player that's all you.
Gotta do they'll raise. The money. YOU know i remember
the Story That jerry DeNardo shared with friends when he
GOT the. Lsu job do you ever tell you? This? One? Dan,
No Okay So, jerry DeNardo who now works For The Big,
ten network he was the head Coach at vanderbilt and

(18:02):
he GOT the. Lsu job this is what do we
think twenty? Years ago let's just, go it twenty, years
ago somewhere in the.

Speaker 6 (18:09):
Neighborhood, thirty, maybe yeah somewhere.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
On there so he gets. The job He leaves vanderbilt
IN the SEC. For lsu and remember when you, go
back you, go Back Pre. NICK saban lsu wasn't they.
They weren't they always wanted to, be good but they
WERE like A and m where they would always come,
up short always spend a ton.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
Of.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Money whatever so he takes the job so he does
the press conference, ninety five, ninety nine so that's thirty years, Good,
job dan Look at dan just like off the top of,
his head thirty. Years ago, Dope anyway so he at
the introductory, Press, conference president everybody, introduced him says, some
words and then there's a Guy. Named jimmy jimmy's Got,

(18:51):
red Cadillac and Jimmy Waits coach nardo at to the,
press conference and he takes him to all the Parishes
In baton rouge And Into new orleans because you can
meet the important people in, the parishes and that's how
you meet the people that connect you with the. Football
players you go to the big high schools and then
that's how you. Recruit players they get done with the
day and they go to like twenty, different places and,

(19:13):
he's exhausted and he's going upstairs to call his wife from,
the hotel and right before he closed, the door and
he says Goodbye, to Jimmy and, jimmy, says, now coach
you just tell us which ones. You want we'll buy him.
For you right this is before you could legally buy people.
With them so he called his wife and, he, SAID
honey i don't know how we ever thought we COULD

(19:34):
beat lsu for, a, player right because we just don't
Have a jimmy who calls the guy, who, says hey
we're going to buy this. Offensive lineman in the it just.
Means more it ain't just. A phrase it, means everything ESPECIALLY.
To lsu, SO yeah i get, it again doesn't mean

(19:57):
it would be, For me but in the it's in the,
same league but in a, different stratosphere. Different Stratuspere john
mitlcoff's our guest here In The Doug gottlieb Show On Fox.
Sports radio, Of course john hosts a three and. Out
podcast you hear That the Volume. Podcast network let me
let me ask You About. DRAKE may i get the defense,

(20:22):
is better the coaching, is better but let's just. Be
Honest new england nailing the quarterback pick that changes them
for the next. Fifteen.

Speaker 8 (20:30):
Years, FAIR yeah i mean he looks like, a star.
YOU know i mean there are some similarities with this
team with Some Of rabel's. Tennessee teams they might have
had a little more star Power With derrick henry and
his heyday and obviously, a, young up up AND Coming,
Aj brown but this is a, true team BUT their
x factor is. THIS quarterback, i mean when you look

(20:52):
AT the afc now that we Assume, THE chiefs, i
Mean the chiefs could Easily lose sunday To. The texans
it's as open as IT'S and i Mean the bills are,
kind of, you know kind of average relative to what.
They've Been the ravens are six and six and it's not.
That good it is, wide open and, you'd, go well
if you Compare the broncos And, the patriots the two

(21:12):
best teams in the conference record wise to, each other
if you remove, THE quarterback i Think the broncos would
clearly be the. Better team the, problem is you have
so much more Faith Than drake may and the one
Thing the patriots got going, FOR him i mean their.
Head coach he's won some playoff games as, an UNDERDOG
and i got to look this, number UP but i
would imagine the Games the, josh McDaniels the playoff games

(21:35):
he's called as an. OFFENSIVE coordinator i, don't know like forty,
You know so you talk about the experience on that
staff with those two guys's And obviously brabel's, playing days it's.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
Pretty immense it absolutely is is A Men's. Jackson dark
it's not that he, doesn't Slide, but sam could you
get that cut? FOR us i want you to listen To.
Jack jackson, dart's, like hey you should see my high.
School tape this was his when when they asked him
about sliding getting out. Of bounds this was his response.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
Last, Night look i'm gonna keep. Playing, aggressive no hopefully
everybody can take a second to watch my tape going
back to high school and realize that this is not. A,
SHOCK like i play the. GAME aggressively i took one
hit that people are. TALKING about, i slid got out of,
the way have a lot. Of HITS so i, appreciate people,

(22:28):
you know wanting to, you know me to be healthy
and all, that STUFF and i want to be. Healthy
TOO but i play this, Game Aggressive so i'm not
going to just CHANGE how i play.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
The game he just went high school tape. On, Us,
like dude when you're in, high school you're, the biggest
baddest dude. There is we're IN. The nfl they'll hit
you so hard you wake up and won't know your.
Last name there isn't a difference between aggressive. And STUPID
and i think he at least for one play he
aired in the side of.

Speaker 8 (22:56):
BEING stupid i also think with him going it was,
one hit it was one hit and you got ejected
like twenty feet in. THE air, i mean it's we
don't see those those violent hits as much as we.
Once did, so listen they're going to have a. NEW
coach i don't know where you stand, on This but
i'm already kind of Like If I'm, Mike tomlin i'm in,
My car i'm driving to. That job the divorce feels

(23:18):
imminent Now. In pittsburgh that makes a lot. Of sense
whoever that next Coach. IS jackson i remember First and
palmer telling me this. ONE time i think you were
there the. Like iHeart there was like some Party, in newport,
you know on the water at that. GOLF course i
remember Besm With carson palmer AND then i had him
on the podcast and he he, had said like the

(23:39):
thing that he misses, the most and he's crushed it
now the high school coach shocker is like the pressure
you feel when you walk in a building every single
day is, The quarterback like everyone is depending, on you and,
IT'S like i think One Thing jackson dart's got to
realize is when this new staff, comes in all these
jobs in, that building a lot of guys on your,
own team all, the coaches the, front office you're the

(24:02):
One like Peyton And, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, aaron rodgers
like they were basically the CEOs of their company with the.
Head coach and the difference is the head coach can't.
Get hurt and we've Already seen jackson you get injured
on a concussion and then this hit it's again like.
He has he reminded me a little bit watched him

(24:23):
last night Of Like, michael VICK who i think his
great quality beside the physical like arm strength, and speed
was like how tough and fearless, he was but it
also would get him in trouble because he would like
break rips and he would take hits that just other
high end quarterbacks. Weren't taking and You watch jackson Dart,
like jacksons no one thinks you're. Not tough you don't

(24:43):
have to earn like toughness points in. The organization it's now,
about like for the next, five years can you play
seventeen games every single, you know every, single year and
you would bet, against that right now the way, he's
playing but that to me the number the number one
thing the, new coach especially If His mike tomlin Needs
do Jack and dark be Safe And abdual, carter like

(25:04):
let's let's get on the straight, and.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
Narrow Buddys Doug gottlieb show Here On Fox, Sports radio
John middlecoff is is our guest Speaking, of pittsburgh like
the boo birds and the uneven performances are. One thing
i'm gonna tell you two things that that jump out
to me that show it's it's. It's. Time right the

(25:25):
first Thing Is aaron rodgers, going, like hey these dudes are,
missing meetings, you know? Crazy right and then did You
Hear cam hayward after? The Game cam hayward was the
reason he was jawing uh with With the bills and specifically,
you know jawing with with with the M v p

(25:48):
of the league WAS because i think it was first
quarter when he's on top of the, quarterback guy, need
him need him In the This Is cam hayward after.
The game do you need in?

Speaker 3 (25:58):
My stomach and it's drawing back, and forth and then
he tacked off the entire game because as a quarterback,
they're Protected but.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
I'm not just pisses.

Speaker 3 (26:07):
Me off you're saying he need you or.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Anyone else that's exactly.

Speaker 5 (26:09):
One say did you cross the line throughout?

Speaker 6 (26:11):
THE game i was a that was that? One incident
is that on purpose?

Speaker 2 (26:15):
By, him yes.

Speaker 7 (26:17):
Even said after, YOU know i had to do something
to get you off.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
Of, Me okay, So Again josh allen needs him in
the stomach in the first half by, all accounts by his,
own word like it set him off for the. Entire
Game Like cam heyward stunk. This year he looks old
and the only thing he's concerned about was he got
need in the stomach Instead, of hey we're losing and
our seasons, falling apart and my job is to kill

(26:40):
the QUARTERBACK and i can't do. IT again i just
this team is such. A mess those Two Quotes aaron
Rodgers And, cam heyward they're two, OLDEST players i think only. Emphasized,
THAT yeah, i think.

Speaker 8 (26:52):
You know the one thing that jumped out to me in,
that game especially, early on was kind, of close, was like,
YOU know i do respect that he everyone the player
in his hate they didn't. Respect him but at he's
forty two years old playing with the cast on. His arm,
you know he easily could have taken the game off
or tapped out for a month and, Been like i'm
not going out there with a CAST and i can't.

(27:12):
Protect myself he's given him everything, he has and, you
know it hit me today when officially it was. His
birthday he's forty two and he's, you know probably nine
months older. Than, me historically guys in their late thirties
fell off a cliff, in football AND now i think
it changed a little Bit, with TOM but i don't
know if it's changed. That much and you look at all,

(27:33):
his Peers from Philip To, matt Ryan to Eli To
big Ben To, drew brees, they all like thirty seven
to thirty nine Just Felt peyton manning's arm to. Stop
working tom is an outlier and he's going to continue
to be. An. Outlier now rogers can still throw the
ball better than all THE guys, i lifted BUT he's
i mean a shell of. His greatness so they were

(27:55):
so desperate they had to get this, old guy which
he's clearly not good enough to. Carry you their roster is.
DRAMATICALLY worse i was. Looking today, YOU know tj is
nowhere near, the powerful like think of the, top guys
and even when You Watch, max crosby, you, go god that, guy's,
elite right, You. Know michaeh parkson's. Edge Speed Obviously miles
garrett is like Modern Day lawrence taylor. Or something But

(28:16):
tide wat's not in their. Class anymore but they're paying him.
Like that and then like part of to me the
Argument about tomlin is forever They Had, kevin colbert who
was just considered like ultimate, football guy Like An, ozzie
Newsome Like. Ted thompson then he retires and their roster
now you look, at it, IT'S like i don't really
think they know what. They're doing, and obviously as, a

(28:37):
coach if your roster's not as Good, And mike Mike's
Not ben Johnson Or, kyle shanahan so it's not like
he's calling plays for sixty snaps a game on offense.
Or defense that like he's pretty determined or pretty dependent on.
The roster and it's it's old and clearly the guys
are trending in the roden directions because the bills they
were missing about. Their tackles she'd, be, like oh you

(28:58):
got one hundred million, dollars passer you might have. FIVE backs,
i mean it was didn't. Even matter.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
Your boy cowherd loves to talk About the bears even
when they. Weren't relevant now. They, are yeah so.

Speaker 8 (29:14):
Look IT'S most i mean They're having they're kind Of.
Like patriots. THEY'RE there i got to own. IT too
i was on the. OPPOSITE side, i mean you're nine
to three and control your. Own, destiny now it's, pretty, Impressive.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
Right but up until up until, last week all these
wins are over non, playoff, teams right literally Every, Win, Cowboys, Raiders, Commanders, Saints, Bengals, Giants.
Vikings steelers but then you Play the eagles on the
road and you get. A win what was different about?
That game level of competition, Obviously something but what was

(29:46):
different for you about? THAT game.

Speaker 8 (29:50):
I believe I think i think it was the. Head coach,
you know most, young coaches, you know in their mid
to late thirties or, early forties as offensive guys just
are inclined. To pass they like passing. The ball and
look at the two older high level, Offense Guys sean
Payton And, amy reid their past. First guys now they

(30:11):
would argue that they get their running backs a lot,
of touches maybe not, through carries but through swing routes
in the. Passing game. That's true But Like, kyle shanahan
who learned from, his dad coaches a team built much
closer to something you would have seen when we were a.
Little KIDS and i Would Say ben johnson is a,
true throwback like he wants to like. The Other On Monday,

(30:32):
night Football the panthers Played. The niners they have a
Running Back rico daudel who's had a. Great year he
had six carries in. That Game kyle shanahan would rather
have you fire him before going into a big game
and giving his stud running back who has a bunch
of momentum six carries and the six carries like. Forty
yards and you Look At, BEN johnson i think He's

(30:52):
The midwest kyle in the sense of he doesn't just
love scheming. The run he will just hang with it
and running the ball. In practice that leads, to tougher more.
Physical teams and it's like always A knock i have
on some like, college, coaches sure like Like The lincoln,
riley like why is this team? Not, tough well he
runs a kind of a. Soft Offense cliff kingsbury that

(31:14):
part of your toughness is developed clearly with, your players
but like, in practice habits and when you play against
the run a lot. In practice i'm sure there are
certain basketball Drills that izzo does that other teams don't
Do that his basketball teams are. Usually TOUGHER and I Watched.
Ben johnson, you know sometimes you see these coordinators and
they can become. Head coaches and this is not nearly.
THE same, i mean the other thing is this quarterback not?

(31:37):
Even accurate that would be the difference Between the patriots And.
The bears, of like it's gonna be hard to win
a playoff game Against, The, packers Seattle, the, rams whoever
if your quarterback's go on, fifty percent but likely they're
winning these games with him doing it because of how
great of an offensive play, caller is.

Thirteen. Weeks god the problem with This is i'm thinking about,
our texts which that stuff is coming up, next SEGMENT
and i don't want to give. It away so because
one of, THOSE teams i just got so hard to. Figure,
out okay, uh no. WORD three i don't know how

(33:10):
you can't be Impressed With. Dowingland patriots don't know how
you can't be Impressed The. Inga patriots i'll put them
as the third best team IN. The nfl understanding right
that in this, win, streak right the only win that
jumps out at you as a big time team might
Be the bills in, the road but they also Beat
the buccaneers in, the ROAD which i think is an

(33:31):
underrated game considering Where the, buccaneers were especially when they,
got them and the fact That the buccaneers. Aren't bad
i'll put the the bill that, excuse Me the patriots.
At three, At two i'm gonna Put The Green. Bay.
PACKERS grant, I know packers Play, the bears who technically

(33:51):
are a half game up, on them but they Swept The,
detroit lions and again in terms of quality, of, play
right they've won three in. A row i'm gonna go
To the packers as the second best team IN the
nfl and the number one team IN. The nfl and
this is again really really hard because records don't want to.
RESPECT it i gotta go With the With The, DENVER
broncos i don't think their, Quarterbacks great, i'm not but,

(34:15):
RIGHT now, i mean they haven't lost a game since
the twenty First. Of september, they too just Like, the
bears Beat the eagles on, the road Beat the texans on,
the road Beat the chiefs. Last week i'm gonna go
With The denver broncos the number one team IN.

Speaker 6 (34:35):
The, Nfl, alright doug rank your TOP THREE nfl mvp
candidates now through. Thirteen weeks.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
Very. Good question i'm still Gonna go i'm gonna stick
with my number one as, the same Which Is. Matt
Stafford so stafford is still my. Go to, he's leading
he's leading. The charge, after that now it gets really. Really,
Interesting okay I'll Put drake may, At three stafford's, at

(35:05):
One and I'll Put jonathan taylor. At Two, Interesting Stafford,
Jonathan Taylor, andrake may.

Speaker 6 (35:11):
Interesting Updates drake may is now the favorite according to
bet online minus one sixty five, To eight stafford five
to eleven, Right Now dak prescott twelve, to One And
jordan love fourteen. To One jonathan taylor seventy five to one.
Right now so that's what we've got FOR the mvp

(35:33):
odds according to. Bet Online, All, right doug rank the
top three teams in. College football probably the final time
we'll be able to do this because the rankings will
come out of the bracket will come Out on sunday
after teams.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
In, COLLEGEOTBALL yep, I Mean ohio states can move at.
Number one They Got indiana georgia. Title game, All right georgia.
Two Uh and i'm Gonna put.

Speaker 6 (36:12):
Alabama three, Oh No indiana huh when you THINK about
espn not Going To big ten, title game going TO
the sec title Game For College, game.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
Day which game is on?

Speaker 6 (36:26):
Their, air, yes no that's what. Everybody's saying. That's, why
yeah that's why they, did it. All right doug rank
the Top Three tiger woods injuries during. His, Career.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
Uh i'd say number theree is.

Speaker 6 (36:48):
He's, coming back by, the way from his seventh.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
Back procedure well his the number one one was the
acl and achilles when he Played at torril.

Speaker 6 (36:59):
Broken, leg, yeah yeah that's.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
Number, one uh the injury sustained in the, auto accident that's.
Number two probably the seminal moment in, his career but
so to. His Tory so i'll put torrit. At one
And then i'm trying to think which back injury during
the comeback is.

Speaker 6 (37:21):
The bets there is back injury is good? For, me okay,
but yeah because the audio the auto accident just a
few years ago In southern california was where he almost lost. His, leg, yes,
yes yes. All, Right finally Doug Toughest horizon league arena to.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
Play In Toughest horizon arena, play hmm that's a. Great,

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
