Gotep Show, Fox Sports Radio. I hope you're having a
great day, a great holiday season. You've picked up all
(00:23):
the gifts you've made nice with Santa. The runways clear
for Old Saint Nick to come down your chimney or
chimin AA. If you could get down to chiminea, that
would quite be magic. Do you guys do know what
chimney is? Right?
Speaker 2 (00:40):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Actually, there's those little like hot you could. They are
more for looks you put like in your backyard or
on your back patio. You can fire some stuff up
and it has a little spout up the top. That's
a chiminea. Ah, there you go say. That's what we
do here. We teach. Thank you, We're teachers. Doug Gottlieb Show,
Fox Sports Radio coming to you from the tyret dot
(01:02):
Com studios tyret dot com Sweet tire Bik should be
Bill Krackenberger twenty five after the hour, I'll give you
my five for five picks in ABE at five minutes.
So basically, Florida State now is lawyering up. We don't
like the ACC David dennisted the Nationalist Demi Finals, and
(01:27):
we don't make as much money and we don't think
any of the contracts that we signed are lawful in
the league's like, yeah, listen, this is not becoming of
an ACC institution. If you want out, you know how
much you gotta pay. And it strikes me as uh,
(01:49):
this is what I hate about contract law. Right, It's
there's going to be some there's obviously a desire, there'll
be some ability, or at least the lawyers have told
Florida State they have the ability to weasel their way
out of a contract. When like this is like is
(02:09):
it a catch or is it not a catch? You're like,
what do you mean? I don't know, Like there's so
many of these catches, like we caught the ball, well,
you know, did he complete the like he caught the ball?
Or let of the lost spirit of the law, Like
I don't know if there's some wiggle room for Florida
State to be able to get out of their deal
(02:31):
where you have to pay the ACC one hundred and
twenty million dollars. But like they sat there with their
brethren in the ACC and agreed to a to give
to pooling their rights until what is it two thy
thirty six? I just I don't understand how there's any
(02:51):
wiggle room out of it. And lawyers are like, wow,
we can get out. What's the point of a contract
if everyone knows you're in the ACC. You put up
ACC stuff everywhere, You agree to surrender your rights till
twenty thirty six. You agree to make the deal, and
then all of a sudden something doesn't go your way. Like,
I don't like that deal you signed. This is a
lot like the NFL thing with the players saying we
don't want to play Monday night football, Thursday and football.
(03:12):
You signed the deal. Suck it up, big boy, and
yeah it stinks Florida has blocked you out of the
SEC for years. You guys know how that that's how
it happened when they wanted to expand the SEC. You
know they wanted Clemson. South Carolina's like, no, Nope, you're
(03:37):
not gonna do it. You know you want Florida State.
Florida's like, no, we want to be the only school
in the state of Florida that's in the SEC. Georgia
wants to be the only school in the state of
Georgia in the SEC. South Carolina wants to be the
only school in the state. So what they do they
like locked arms together. Kentucky the same thing. Didn't want
to let Loivoid, didn't want anybody else in. By the way,
(04:01):
text A and M tried to do the same thing
for Texas cut and they're like, yeah, no, Texas is
too awesome, We're gonna have them come in. But Florida
State being in the portal and trying to negotiate how
to get out of the ACC to get into Big
ten or get into the SEC is the most twenty
twenty three thing ever ever. Can a school be in
(04:23):
the portal? Yeah, they apparently can't. The show is brought
to you by Progressive Insurance. Progression makes bundling easy and affordable.
Get a multi policy discount by combining to your motorcycle, boat,
ATV and more, all your protection one place bundle and
say Progressive dot Com. Just so we're aware Florida State
didn't make the national semifinals, but not because they're in
(04:44):
the ACC. I mean, look, Danny Canell joined us yesterday.
He's Florida State alum, a college football analyst, and he's
even he's not doing the conspiracy theory SEC or whatever.
First of all, can we just cut through it. The
SEC has been better for twenty five years, Okay, And
(05:06):
now if we had gone back to there was a
fourteen year it was fourteen years in a row, right
that Florida State finished in the top four in college
football during that period of time. Florida State did and
would have gotten the benefit of doubt. This is what's
infuriating about these imbeciles who do who talk about college athletics.
(05:29):
They're like, well, the SEC has been down, Like is
it really well? They lost games in the year, yeah,
because you have transfer portal. Dudes, it's kind of hard, right, Like, dude,
Florida State beat LSU, and if Florida State had their
(05:49):
starting quarterback, they'd be in the National Championship in the
semi finals and probably be one of the favorites to
play for Nation Championship. It lost your quarterback. If Washington
lost Michael Pinnox, does anybody think Washington would be playing
in the national semi finals? Anyone? Anyone?
Speaker 3 (06:16):
No?
Speaker 1 (06:18):
So what are we doing? Floresty used to get to
benefit of the doubt when they were a dominant program.
They're on the rise. They've done an amazing job of
getting it back. They will be back. They will be dominant.
They got it. They're very well coached, they're in a
talent laiden area. They have great funding, great support, all
that stuff, all of it. But you know what they
(06:41):
don't have. They don't have a national championship caliber quarterback.
With their star quarterback being out for the mainer of
the season, we all saw their backups. Backups aren't very good.
And when the margin is that slight, Emma won the SEC.
(07:03):
I'd have a but if Alabama didn't get in, do
you think they'd want to leave the SEC? Let's get
to our five or five. I won't winners Twell, we
got them.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
Five NFL five College five on three three five, it's.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Five for five with Doug Gottlieb. Let's go five.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Doug Gottlieb Show, Fox Sports Radio five for five. Here, kiddos,
let's start with five college then we'll get to five
pro as.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
It's going to be, without any question, the hardest bull
season ever, ever, ever, because I don't know who's playing
for anybody, right, no idea. So you hear from me
until after the new year, so I can pick any
(08:04):
of these games, any games. Texts A and M takes
on Opklahoma State. A and M is a talent laden roster.
But you got all these guys in the portal, you
got new coaching staff on the way, and they're a
two point favorite against Oklahoma State. I do think you
(08:28):
know again, Olly Gordon, I'm not gonna play all right,
who knows on these bullpax, who knows who plays quarterback whatever?
On this one. I would just go with Texts. A
and M's backups are trying to play to put their
resume on tape. It said, audition, If you will, I'm
(08:51):
gonna take A and M to cover the spread. The
Duke's Mayo Bowl has North Carolina without their star quarterback
going against West Virginia, one of the surprises of the
Big Twelve, and West Virginia, because most of their guys
are playing, are six and a half point favorite in
the who cares more. West Virginia cares more. Give me
the years. SMU takes on Boston College. SMU well funded,
(09:18):
and I think the funding will keep more of their
players on the field. And I think BC stinks. Give
me SMU minus ten, minus ten. Arizona's takes on Oklahoma
Oklahoma three point dog. You're like, how could it? Because
they've had I had, They lost Dllan Gabriel, they lost
their star quarterback. I like this Arizona club. I've been
(09:42):
riding them and winning with them all year. Give me
the Cats. And Notre Dame's taking on Oregon State. Notre
Dame hasn't lost a bunch to the portal, has a
bunch of dudes. Plan Notre Dame will win. Notre Dame
will cover. As dj ung Lele is in the Portland,
(10:03):
he transferred right the announcmer he's going in. I forget.
I think he's going to Florida date anyway, Give me
the Irish. Those are the college picks. Let's get to
the National Football League. Pittsburgh's taking on Cincinnati. Jamar Chase
(10:29):
not playing Pittsburgh's defense nasty. George Pickens called out on
tape and Mason Rudolph starting. It's Christmas time. Rudolph leads
the way. I'm gonna take Mason Rudolph and the Steelers
to win at home. That's the money line there. Two
and a half point favorites. Give me the Steelers at home.
(10:52):
Green Bay's taking on Carolina. Green Bay embarrassing performance at
home against Tampa. They're taking on the Carolina Panthers, who, hey,
look out now they won two games. Packers are four
and a half point favorites. It's gonna be sixty four degrees.
I think the Pack bounce back, they win the game,
they cover the spread. Give me the Pack. Washington is
(11:14):
taking on the New York Jets. Trevor Simeon. If you've
been listening to Isaac Lonkhan getting the start in the game,
Trevor Semen can complete a pass, Saq Wilson can't. The
Jets win, The Jets cover. Washington is an abject disaster.
Give me the Jets. Miami has taken on Dallas. This
(11:38):
game being played in Miami. Cowboys coming off a bit
of a debacle, Miami coming off a very very good win, right,
and they're playing at home. I like Miami to win
in Miami to cover and then Arizona's taking on Chicago Chicago.
(12:05):
I'm not sure if you've been paying attention here, but
Arizona's played better football of late. Obviously they got smacked
by the Niners, but that game is close in the
second quarter at Nine's just way better. Bears are not
way better. I like Arizona's a four point dog in Chicago.
I understand Dome team in the cold air normally, but
it's fifty one degrees, it's rainy.
Speaker 4 (12:24):
And.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
The Chicago team has been better of late. Right had
a hail Mary that they dropped in the end zone
for that day won in a row. I like Arizona
to win Arizon. The copy goes the picks five There it.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
Is five NFL. Let's go five college five for five
with Doug gott This.

(13:29):
you are a famous cord cutter.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
And password borrower air quotes.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
So with that in mind, with that in mind, do
you It's a real question here, okay, do you have
a traditional like thing you watch around Christmas every year?
Speaker 2 (13:53):
For me personally, it has to be home alone. However,
more importantly for my wife, which wins out Billy, Bob
Thornton and bad Santa. So bad Santa.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
It is bad. Santa is really good, so I've.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Heard repeatedly, and a Christmas story is right up there
for for me as well, of course.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
I like a Christmas story. I think is it love? Actually?
Is that the that's the holiday one?
Speaker 5 (14:27):
Love?
Speaker 1 (14:28):
Actually? That's a great one. You never seen it?
Speaker 5 (14:30):
No?
Speaker 1 (14:32):
Really? Yeah, Lorraine? Have you seen love?
Speaker 4 (14:34):
Actually?
Speaker 2 (14:35):
I have not Doug what but you've seen home alone
in a Christmas story?
Speaker 1 (14:40):
Who has seen those? You guys haven't seen love? Actually
I have? Okay? Can I read you that? Can I
read you? Who's who stars in the movie? I'd love that, okay?
Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, Karen Knightley,
Alan Rickman. You guys know a cast line up snape?
Speaker 2 (15:06):
Snape, isn't it?
Speaker 1 (15:07):
Well? Alan Rickman actually is. Yes, he's snaped, but he's
more known for holiday movies. He's the bad guy dude.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
Liam Neeson and Alan Rickman fight each other to the
death in this particular movie.
Speaker 5 (15:19):
No.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
Liam Neeson is a widower and his step son is
Oh god, what's his steps son's name is Sam. At
the time, this is actually a money thing, so Sam,
like his mom dies. He has a crush on an
American girl and they're in the holiday show together and
(15:43):
she's a singer. So in order to get closer to her,
he learns how to teaches himself how to play the drums,
and he plays the drums for her in the holiday show.
It's like one of the moneiest things ever. You want
to talk about a baller kid. He had Riz before
Riz was a He totally had Riz. He absolutely had
Risk absolutely at Riz.
Speaker 5 (16:06):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
There's a great character Bill Nai Nigi you whatever. He's
this old British like old British rock star that promises
if his song goes to number one, he'll strip on
national TV. He does. It's great. It's really really good.
You guys haven't seen this movie? No, but it's now
on my weekend watch list, so thank you for that, Doug. Yeah.
(16:28):
And it's also Pete Careen Knightley Peek care Knightley.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
I thought Pirates was peek Kira.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Pirates as well, piratesys as well, but this was its
big do you guysn't seen Love? Actually great film, great film,
and it's good for those of us who have that
like a d D thing where it's like lots of
short stories and they all come together at the end.
It's good. Highly recommend it. Look hom Alone is amazing.
(16:58):
I will say like Home Alone two is obviously not
as good as homeowns, like really got left Home Alone again?
Come on, but there's one of these things like to
people who say, how could he get left home alone again?
The fact that he got left home alone the first
time is completely unbelievable story right, and he goes shopping
(17:18):
and he fights off the wet bandits or whatever. Like
you suspended disbelief for one film, you can't suspend disbelief
for a second film. Really, really, really, you.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
Know it's funny you bring up Home alone. The last
several days going across social media has been the debate
and the issue about what the mom and the dad
did for their profession to be able to afford such
a huge mansion and to be able to take an
extended fifteen person family vacation to Paris for Christmas, because
(17:50):
they seem kind of clueless in that movie, especially since
they left their kid at home.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Well, first of all, there's such a difference in air
travel today. Were they in twa on that one American?
They weren't American. I mean, I'm I've flown two that
two million miles in American, so I can I can
understand it. And they go through the American terminal in O'Hare, right,
they run through the Every time I walk through, I
think Kevin. Every time I walked in, Uh, Ryan, what's
(18:18):
your go to holiday movies?
Speaker 4 (18:20):
Uh? Christmas vacation for sure? Yeah, and I love Jingle
all the way. It's such a stupid movie, but I
love it.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
Never seen it.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Oh, it's it's it's ridiculous, It's absurd.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Sweet Bad Santa is really good. Too Bad Santa's really
really good, really good. It's fun. Thanks for listening to

(19:14):
weekend mornings, beginning at nine am Eastern on Saturdays and
ten am Eastern on Sundays right here on Fox Sports
Radio the iHeartRadio app. Bill Krackenberger joins us and crack
Let's get to some of these picks. I think there's
a couple of gigantic games of the weekend. I want
to start with with the top two. Number one, okay,
(19:36):
number one is the Cowboys taking on the Lions. Excuse me,
Cowboys taking on the Dolphins. My apologies. The Dolphins are
a one point favorite on the lines I'm looking at.
The total is fifty. It's playing in Miami, should be
good weather.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
Yeah, hey, happy holidays to you. So first off, and
Miami Dallas, that's going to be you went right to
the game of the week probably game open up, pick
them now one and a half Myami's favorite. I probably
leaned to Miami there, but I didn't pull the trigger
on that. On that game, both teams seem to struggle
versus you know, good competition. So just gonna look at
(20:10):
the total there, and I like the under under the points.
I think they're actually going to be struggling to find
not not struggling to get points, but the total. Bet
at GM sponsors are show I always look at their
line fifty. This seems like a lot of points. I
lean to the under here. Actually made a couple of
bets on the under, and I think it's not going
to be as high score as people think, even though
(20:32):
these big two powerhouse teams. I think we're going to
go on under the fifty.
Speaker 1 (20:36):
On that one. Okay, the uh the Lions take on
the Vikings. Now, this is an interesting game because the
Vikings look so much better offensively with Nick Mohons as
their starting quarterback. Lions have bounced back as well in
their own right. Lion's are a three point favorite on
the road in the Dome against the Vikings. The totals
(20:56):
forty seven and a half.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
Yeah, the line. You know, we thought they were the
number one literally in the professional syndicate rankings of the
wise guys out there. We had them in the top three.
At the beginning of the season. They dropped down to
number ten on mine. I kind of leaned to the
dog here, and I like the Vikings and the old
school division rival here. I'll take the dog BLUs the
(21:21):
points here, and they're at home too, so I kind
of like this situation here for Minnesota BLUs. The three
points should be a funnel by an old fashioned, grind
it out type of game. Even though the total was
forty seven. Give me the dog there.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
The Bears are a four point favorite at home. Weather's
not bagging me raining taking on a dome team, the Cardinals.
The totals forty three.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
Wow, how dare the Bears be favorite of four points
versus anybody?
Speaker 5 (21:50):
So?
Speaker 3 (21:50):
Arizona even though they lost to San France, and in
this space, even though I had a winning record last week,
I did have Arizona, it didn't matter. Arizona actually should
have covered that game, almost had a backdoor cover, but
they were in especially the first half of the game.
Playing down to a much different level of competition this week, Boy,
I'll tell you what. I'll take the points verse Chicago
(22:13):
with anybody almost and four points here, give me Arizona.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
Okay. Stug Gottlieb show here on Fox Sports Radio. Bill
Krackenberger is our guest. He is a professional sports gambler.
By the way, this has got to be like the
coolest thing, you know. It's like, don't worry, Like is
there a doctor in the house, Like you could be
the guy who like, man, does anybody know? Like, don't worry.
I'm a professional man. This is what I do for
a living.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
Patriots taking on the Broncos. The Pats are seven point
dogs in Denver. It's supposed to be snowing. The totals
thirty five.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
Very good, and that's one of the reasons why I
do like on New England. They're used to that type
of weather. But those Denver I understand. Now is this total?
Now this game went to seven though it was six. Well,
I'll tell you, I'll think when the points they're going
to be at a premium here, I really think the
seven points is way too high. In New England actually
held in there with Kansas City getting ten points. They
(23:07):
actually went to ten and a half a couple spots
out here in Vegas where actually they covered the game
versus Kansas City. So I think the win was going
to hang around for Denver. Two seven points too many?
Speaker 1 (23:16):
Okay, last one Ravens Niners. Letuld be a good one, right,
Two teams that could be favorites to come out of
the AFC and NFC respectively facing off. This is a
Monday one of the three games on Monday on Christmas.
Baltimore is a five and a half point dog in
San Francisco and the totals forty seven.
Speaker 3 (23:35):
Team opened up five and a half, still five and
a half. This is going to be obviously the game
of the day on Christmas Day, Monday, December twenty fifth,
Primetime atm Eastern games. I like the favorite here, sounds
so simple, right on Baltimore san Franz san fran mines
some points the favorite at home. I just think there's
going to be a real big crowd there at home
(23:55):
for this Baltimore team, which you know, people think that
Baltimore is a super Bowl team themselves. I don't see
that as much as everybody else. I've seen some games
throughout the year where Baltimore has actually struggled and lost,
and including knocking me out of a survivor pool here
in Las Vegas for millions of dollars. So I think
Sam Fran's going to show up Timetime TV Monday, Decetember twenty.
(24:16):
Like I said, folks out there, just be careful. You
have games every day here, Saturday, Sunday, Monday NFL games.
Just know that you don't have to bet every game.
Just coast are on TV bag gool management and skill sets.
But there's a few gems for you guys. I hope
you have a great holiday seasons.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
I hope you do too. Do you even touch any
of the non non national championship bowl games? Like do
you touch that? Because you just, I mean, who knows
who the hell's playing these games?
Speaker 3 (24:44):
Yeah, you know, because of the portal and the way
it is. I have bet less and less though, of
course over the years of courding by and just according
to what exactly you said, do you touch them? I mean,
it's just it's not what I usually do. I usually
go on these smaller schools and these small all their
bowls like Coastal Carolina, you know, in a bowl and
James Madison. I haven't really even won anything serious on
(25:06):
any bowl games. And you're absolutely right, it's getting harder
and harder to bet these type of games. I really
don't have any gamble to me, and I feel it's
a lot of gambling if I bet these type of bowls.
So spot on, Dougs.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
All right, it's great stuff, crack, have merry Christmas. Thanks
so much for joining us.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
Thank you, sir.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
Doug Gottlieb show here on Fox Sports Radio. Who man,
there's a lot of stuff going on, huh, A lot
of stuff going on, all right, So we covered the
Florida State thing. We talked some college football, we talked
(25:42):
some NFL. Remember when Christmas Day used to be basketball?
I know you brought it up, right, and then what's
going to be now? It may change a little bit
next year with Christmas being in the middle of the week,
right as the NBA can reclaim it like some wood
and can can get back to Christmas. But when I
(26:02):
was a kid, it felt like Jordan played at the
garden every year on Christmas. Jordan played at the garden,
you know. And I don't know what your Christmas is like. Again,
I'm full disclosure. I'm Jewish. Both my parents were Jewish,
so we didn't celebrate Christmas. But like and and some
(26:26):
of it, I think our country has become I don't know.
I mean, Chris is always big. It does feel a
little bit bigger now. I don't know. Maybe it's because
you know, at times have changed something. I don't know.
But the point is the big game was Michael Jordan
(26:47):
and the Chicago Bulls against the New York Knicks in
Madison Square Garden every Christmas, and the other games sort
of mattered, didn't matter. And I don't remember if Magic
and the Lakers played the nightcap. Do you remember that
I load? Did they play later in the night.
Speaker 2 (27:03):
You know, it's really crazy when you brought that up.
My first memory Bowls Knicks, but my memory is of
those games being more at Chicago Stadium, the old Chicago Stadium,
which is crazy, but absolutely Bowls next.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
So the way my Christmas is when I was a kid,
as you get up and I would usually and I
encourage I try to do this for my own kids,
and I, you know, like for Hanukah, we used to
get you get one thing, one thing you really want,
you're really going to use, and usually sometimes it'd be two.
But you get some new hoop shoes. Right for me,
You're a hooper. You like new hoop shoes. And then
(27:41):
maybe a new basketball or new new video game. I
get new video games a lot of times as well,
and so you play the video games and then if
it was nice, you go outside, and you Southern California
can be pretty nice. I go outside play. I played
pickup ball at Miles Square Park in Fountain Valley, and
they'd be good games, and everybody have on their new
gear and their new shoes or whatever. And then you'd
go which the bulls play the Knicks. It it morphed into.
(28:05):
Obviously Lebron was always on. Uh, it morphed into you know,
Kobe was on before Lebron.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
Kobe versus Shack. The first time was a Christmas Day
game and that was huge back then.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Yeah, uh Lebron, Steph. You got Lebron versus Staph a
couple of years ago, right back with his first or
second year with the Lakers. So there was There's been
a lot of these made for TV. But it's just
interesting on how the sports calendar has changed in the
NFL has been like, yeah, we'll take that now. It
has helped the fact that the past couple of years
(28:38):
it's been in that Thursday to now Monday window. Once
it gets to Tuesday and Wednesday, does it flip back?
Does it flip back? And I think the answer is yes.
But the other thing that's lost is and it's sort
of reclaimed this year. First of January used to be
like five bowl games, six bowl games, Bay bab Baby,
(29:00):
And then remember the Orange Bowl. Do they still have
a parade? They would have a they would have this
janky parade on New Year's Eve, and then of course
the Rose Bowl, the Big Boy Parade, was on January first.
Does anybody actually like watching the Rose Bowl Parade like
it's amazing. It's one of those things that like it's amazing,
(29:22):
they're going downing them wrong. They take millions of flowers
and use them and make these incredible floats. I'm not
diminishing that it's beautiful and incredible and probably smells really good,
but like, here's a float. It's representing them great state
of Wisconsin. And like I and my friends Sage Steele,
(29:42):
John Anderson, who were my neighbors when I lived in Canton,
Connecticut at ESPN. Literally, Sage was two doors over, one
door between us. Our daughters are separated by one day.
And John and Tamra lived down the street like six
houses down to left. So they're doing Rose Bull Parade.
(30:04):
So they're having a friend do the parade. You're like, man,
that's awesome. But I don't know. I just find it
to be interminable.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
It's one of these things that is either either or
you love it or you can't stand it. There's no
in between.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Because I don't like you, I don't I'm in between.
I don't love it, I can't stand it. I just
I'm just bored.
Speaker 5 (30:23):
By it.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
It's one of the things. It's a thing where I go, like,
that's amazing. Do you want to watch it?
Speaker 5 (30:27):
No?
Speaker 1 (30:27):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
I'll put it this way. My wife is in love
with the rose bowl to the point where I don't
know if you knew this, but after the rose parade,
like three days later, you can take a shuttle and
go look at all the floats up close. So she
dragged me. We had to wait for in line. Doug,
I'm not kidding you. We had to wait in line
ninety minutes, ninety minutes to get on the shuttle to
(30:53):
go see these borings kind of floats. Pass divorce. No,
we weren't married then, so I incentive now.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
But that's one of the things you can't do when
you're not married. Otherwise, then when you're married, they say,
why don't you go to watch them? Get to check
with the roseball floats anymore? Right, It's like when you
first get married and the clothes come out of the
out of the dryer, you like, no, I'll help you
with that, and you got to fumble the folding. That way,
you'd never have to fold again. You know.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
That's a good tip.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
By the way, it's a great tip.
Speaker 2 (31:22):
You just gave it away though, And now I know, okay,
I mean, but you can use that to.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
Your advantage, use that to your advantage. You know you
use that to your advantage, bushing or did you know that?
Speaker 2 (31:36):
I didn't?
Speaker 4 (31:37):
And I think now that I live with my fiance,
I think I've already screwed that upright, Because you're a
good folder. I do a pretty good job. At least
I lay out the clothes rather nicely and separate things
very well.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
Game over, Well, no, laying them out and separating them
it's not bad. Folding is just oh that's true.
Speaker 4 (31:52):
I don't fold.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
So maybe pick whatever things you don't want to do
and don't do them. Is there's an expression in parenting. Okay,
Loraina has a kid?
Speaker 4 (31:59):
Do you have a.
Speaker 3 (32:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (32:02):
I have two. I don't know. I didn't. I'm like, oh, well,
you know, okay, you guys have heard this. Don't do once,
but you don't want to do a thousand times. That's
that's in with child rearing. Same thing with relationships. Don't
do once, so you don't want to do a thousand times.
Like man, if you don't want to take out the
like once you start taking out the trash, like that's
your job. Once you start fulling clothing, you full close,
(32:22):
you're gonna be fulling closed. So you're still in the
fiance not married things, so there's a window there. But yeah,
your goose is probably cooked. You're probably folding for the
rest of your life, or at least separating. And separating
is not that bad until you get to where I am,
where you have all these single socks and you're like, oh, geez, oh,
gee's there, jay'stare. I think I'm gonna wait till Christmas Day.
(32:46):
I have this big, big thing of socks. It's all
I have this gigantic uh uh. It's like a coffee table.
It's like a coffee table meets what do you what's
the thing you put your feet on. It's a cool
name for it, Ottoman Ottoman. It's like coffee table meets ottoman.
And I have like socks that are not matched on it.
And I got probably about eight already matched up pairs
(33:09):
of folded socks, and they got a whole basketful. I
think it's gonna wait until Christmas Day watching football and
just folding clothes, like hey, kids, come in here and
folds some of this stuff. I bought you all that
crap that you played with for five minutes and now
you guys anyway, thanks for listening to The Doug Gotleep

Let's get to the press, the press. I love what
(34:23):
you got, Doug.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
I'll take you back to Sunday and that extremely scary
hit absorbed by Indianapolis Colts receiver Michael Pittman at the
hands of Demante Casey of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Well a
short time ago. Today in the Colts locker room, Pittman
spoke for the first time about that scary hit, and
it's some thought provoking comments. To be sure. Listen, I
(34:52):
mean honestly, like I never saw him coming, like I was,
I was diving.
Speaker 4 (34:55):
I caught it, and then all of.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
A sudden, I woke up and there's people looking down
at me like I was.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
I hope you what just happened?
Speaker 2 (35:01):
I mean, I barely even remember it, so I think
it's the pure grace of God that I was able
to get up and walk. I mean, that was a
very scary hit. That was Michael Pittman a short time ago.
In the Colts locker room today, Doug.
Speaker 1 (35:18):
Actually well comn said, I am betman that that's an
old commercial, old TV commercial, sir.
Speaker 2 (35:25):
No I remember that, especially considering what the alternative could
have been. So, Doug, do you remember longtime former NFL
head coach Jim Mora senior all right? Playoffs? Precisely playoffs?
Speaker 1 (35:41):
Also did Diddley poop the heat at a Diddley pooh
rint and.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
Used to work here, by the way, at Fox Sports Radio. So,
mister Mora is now eighty eight years old. So last
night the Saints beat the Rams on Thursday Night Football
and New Orleans television station w DS you actually utilized
Mora as a postgame analyst. Yeah, eighty eight years old.
(36:07):
So after the game, his former longtime placekicker, the great
Morton Anderson tweets and I quote, Saints fans deserve better
than what we saw tonight. Unquote. Here's what happened. When
Mora was asked about Morton's and Anderson's comments on WDSU
television after the game.
Speaker 1 (36:28):
Morton Anderson tweeted, Saints fans deserve better than this.
Speaker 3 (36:31):
Do you agree with that?
Speaker 2 (36:32):
No?
Speaker 5 (36:34):
No, these guys bust their tail out here are players
and coaches and everything. Morton Anderson is saying that he
didn't know what the hell was going on. He lived
in Atlanta, Georgia. He's a kicker and he voices his opinion.
Don't give me that blowniness that was twenty years ago
for prying now alloud when he was played playoffs playoffs.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
Look, I mean, any of us who you know, if
you ever do any work for a university hard to
be critical of that university. Do work for professional team?
You know it is, and it's also like like they lost.
It wasn't good. But in a weird year, there's seven
and eight and that terrible ravage.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
Average final item at that same game. Besides eighty eight
year old Jim Mora, another person on the sideline was
newly signed Los Angeles Dodgers Show, Hey Otani. This was
a huge deal in the stadium and on Twitter welcome
to Los Angeles Show, Hey Otani. He was in the
locker room after the game after the Rams won. But
(37:38):
taking backlash from that reaction, everyone was like, yeah, you
realize he's been here in the Los Angeles area for
the last six years. You're treating this guy like he
just literally got into our metropolitan area. So I don't
know who came out worse, but my guess last night
(37:59):
was the Joels And that's the press.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
Now you get out there and pressed, that was the press. Well,
you will not hear from me on the Doug Gotlib
Show until the new year. And so I wish all
of you a safe and merry Christmas and a happy
New Year.
Speaker 5 (38:15):
And this is.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
Counter year twenty of me doing national Sports Radio. Many
of you have been with me since my kids were born,
so I appreciate you listening and putting up with me.
Merry Christmas. This is Doug Gotlib Show
