Speaker 2 (00:36):
Talk some nicks.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Mark Stein will join us, maybe a little baseball. Get
you ready for the weekend, first weekend of summer. Jay
stews in Vegas?

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Right, and is that was that? What is his text meant?

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (00:51):
When you said you careful the hikes and the heat
or whatever, which means aj, if you're on your way
to Vegas and you're driving, try not to do to
your money what you do to our money. When we
played craps in Vegas two summers ago. Okay, that would
be the thing you know that would that would be
the thing. So there's a new story out about Zion Williamson.

(01:14):
And to make it official, Isaac lone Crown, you've been
reading this story for all your updates. Can you just,
you know, can you give me the story about about
Zion currently?

Speaker 4 (01:25):
Yeah? Sure. This started yesterday in Los Angeles Superior Court,
an unidentified woman filed a lawsuit accusing him of sexual
assault as well as physical, emotional, and financial abuse during
a multi year relationship. So that happened yesterday in LA
Superior Court. Now a short time ago, Williamson's attorney issued

(01:50):
a statement replying, and it read, in part, and I'll
go into some other details other than what I mentioned
in our report just now. The rest of the statement included, quote,
mister Williamson and the plaintiff never dated, but did maintain
a consensual, casual relationship that began more than six years

(02:13):
ago when he was eighteen years old. That relationship ended
years ago. At no point did the plaintiff race raise
any concerns. Only after the friendship ended did she begin
demanding millions of dollars unquote. The statement also alleged, quote
this is the plaintiff's third set of attorneys unquote.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Yeah, so.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Do you want to break it down for you? I mean,
do we we all kind of figure out what's going
on here? Right, I'm gonna just take a guess. Again,
I know no details, but even from all of this,
she was a chicky hooked up with more than once
probably wherever she lived. Does she live in Los Angeles?

(02:59):
That why I was Los Angeles?

Speaker 2 (03:01):
It did?

Speaker 4 (03:01):
It did not say it was. It was just filed
in LA Superior Court.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Yeah, okay, so, but it likely means she lives in
Los Angeles. So when he would come to LA, that
was his LA girl, right, And you know, the the
emotional and financial abuse element of it feels like, Hey,
you promised me you'd give me some money and you'd
take care of me, and either you didn't to the

(03:27):
level that I think I should be taken care of,
or you didn't at all, because that wasn't what it
was all about to you, Right, It's pretty reasonable. I
don't know about the sexual abuse. All I know is
that usually if your abuse sexually, you go to the police,
and the police do rape kit or there'd be a

(03:48):
criminal charge. In this particular case, it feels really hard
to believe because again, if it was consensual and if
it was not ongoing all the time, but when he
came to LA, then that tracks. And yeah, I just
it doesn't feel like it's the strongest case in the world.

(04:09):
I don't want any woman to ever feel like they
could be violated, and if you are violated, go to
the authorities and charge people to the fullest extent of
the law. But yeah, this is on the other hand,
On the other hand, there's an expression. An expression goes
like something like this, sleep with the dogs. Don't be
afraided when you get don't be surprised when you get fleas.

(04:31):
You know, there's been rumors this is like an Instagram
model and she has a some prodigious features to her.
And it's like one of those things like if you
just date normal people, you'll get normal results. If you
date people that aren't normal, abnormal things happens. This is
an abnormal thing. It again, if he did something bad,

(04:54):
then he should pay for it. If she's making it up,
she should pay for it. And it's equally all. It's
it's awful, the whole story. Bat The biggest issue I
see is like, it's not an isolated one. With him.
It's not he was hurt again this year, he was
heavy again this year, and they have a new general
manager in New Orleans. And the report out today was

(05:18):
no one is uh uh. No one is immune to
being trade traded. No one is immune to being traded.
And if that's the case, you know that includes Zion,
who is supposed to resurrect the Pelicans and it just

(05:41):
hasn't happened. Okay, I'm willing to believe these are categorically false,
reckless allegations. It seems like it seems like most of
us read into it and know, yeah, I I don't know. Again,
can't choke a woman. You can't you know, rough up

(06:04):
a woman. You can't violate a woman. If he did
any of these things, he should go to jail, not
just pay a fine or you know, not just pay damages.
But that's not what this is about. This is about
like a kind of continuation of who he's associated with,
how he's carrying himself, how he's still not gotten himself
into consistent shape, and why he keeps getting hurt and

(06:26):
the fact that the franchise that was supposed to be
built around him.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Is like, you know, if you want him, just make
a good offer or you can have him feel like
that to anybody else.

Speaker 5 (06:39):
Bursch I Loo, Yeah, I think I think he's he's
keeping bad company because, like you said, he either possibly
did this stuff at which is you know, criminal or
is he in civil court so he might pay out
for this, But he's put he's putting people around him
who look at him as a possible something to exploit,
you know, So that could be the other side of
the coin.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Well that's the other thing is it is really sad, right,
It's just sad that and this is kind of what
we do, you know, this is kind of what we
do where we have What we do is we put
people in positions they're not equipped for.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Like he was a YouTube.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Sensation, he went to college nowadays, you know, he would
have made gigantic money in nil. But putting people out
in the professional world when they're an obvious target, you know,
and saying, hey, you're not you're a professional. Live on
your own, figure things out unless you have the best guidance,
unless you have mom and dad looking over your shoulders

(07:41):
sometimes living with you, Like this is what happens. Guys
just aren't ready for that. They're just not ready for it.
And yeah, that's when it's sad. Does it make you
mad because you're like, man, I would kill for that
much just a quarter of that much talent, of course,
But it's also sad that people see dollar signs and
people want exploit athletes like a Zion Wimson, And I

(08:03):
don't know if he's being.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Exploited or not.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
You know, I'm not going to sit here and say
I know exactly what's going on there.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
I have zero idea.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
And by the way, for context, the first two picks
of that year's draft number one, Zion Williamson, number two
John Morant. Ironically, but I remember back to the twenty
eighteen twenty nineteen season, Zion Williamson, when he was winding up,
you know, ending his college career and beginning his college
career at Duke. He was arguably the biggest non NFL

(08:35):
story in sports during that season. Remember when his shoe
exploded on the court during that game, that was like
the biggest story in the nation in sports for the
next three days. I know, it was back like you know,
before the pandemic in twenty nineteen. But it's hard to
it's hard to overstate how big of a story he

(08:56):
was in sports during his year at Duke back then.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Yeah, really really, Uh, it's he was bigger than big.
He was the the YouTube sensation. Anybody who says he's
the YouTube sensation nothing in comparison to what Zion wiams
It was zero zero.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
But like, is there still time for a turnaround? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (09:20):
I mean, look, still statistically dominant this year when he played,
but just too many of these, too many of these
types of stories.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Maybe a change in scenery would suit him, well, yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
But like will it then there's just a whole new
group of people that are going to try and feast
on his foot. Fame New Orleans obviously, and he obviously
doesn't know how to find. I know New Orleans is.

Speaker 5 (09:43):
A surreality of the question of the Southeast South.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Yeah, and you know, can the can the Knicks, although
they are tempting, can the Knicks get to the finals?
We'll ask, uh, we'll ass Mark Stein, who will join
us up coming next Thanks for listening to The Doug

Sway tire buying should be Yeah, it's Look, it's a

(10:30):
hard one to sit there and go I'd like to
see the Knicks. I'd like to see Game seven again
in New York City, and the pressure has to be
squarely on the Pacers, right, you don't want to go
back to New York, but uh, you know, and the
Knicks have shown the ability to win there, to win there.

(10:52):
But I don't know if last night was a true
statement on this series because it's such the polar opposite
of what happened in Game five or in Game four.
Excuse me, where Tyrese Haliburton was just completely and thoroughly dominant,
that the pace was just breakneck and you're allowed, you
seem to be better off, easier to set the pace.

(11:15):
They set the pace when you do it. When you're
playing at home, So yeah, I don't know. Mark Steinel
joined us in a moment. It's weird. I've been on
this kind of thing and I'm starting to feel people
come around to it.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
I hate the idea that a.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Team wins one one game or one series or one
you know whatever, and what happens. They went one time
and all of a sudden win one title. And we

(11:59):
talk about dynasty. So I'm not saying that the Thunder
are a dynasty. But while we continue to diminish how
good the Thunder are even if they win the title,
like they had the best record in the NBA. I
think they had the best record in the West going
back to last year. They have the league's MVP. They
are young, but no one would argue with the upside

(12:20):
and potential of Chet of Shay, of Jalen Williams. And
there is a chance, I don't know how strong, there's
a chance that they're the type of team that, yeah,
they're the type of team that could go on a
run and could could win multiple titles or could be

(12:46):
a constant threat to win a title, which that's not
a dynasty. But we are selling them short, like, hey,
this is just a one year thing, and wait till
everybody get like Lebron is too old and they have
no defense on that team. Steph Curry, I love him,
but he's getting to be too old. I'm excited to

(13:09):
see what the Dallas Mavericks look like, but between Kyrie
and Anthony Davis never staying healthy and Cooper Flag's not
gonna help them win a title.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
In year one.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Minnesota good but flawed, and we see the thunder better.
Denver has to get better. I just don't know how
it happens with that roster, what they move, it's gonna
look different, different coaches, staff, different gentle manager, different everything.
So if you think Oklahoma City's going away with the
youngest team in the NBA and all those draft picks,
you're wrong.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
They're gonna be around.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
There's actually a likelihood here of them of them having
consistent success.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Thanks for listening to The Doug Gotleb Show podcast.

Show here on Fox Sports Radio. Let's welcome in Mark Stein,
He joins us. He writes a substack called the Stein Line.

(14:08):
How would you explain how Tyre's Halliburton goes from one
of the greatest performances statistically we've seen in NBA history
in the playoffs to just a guy last night?

Speaker 6 (14:18):
Great question. Not sure that I have the answer. The
fact that.

Speaker 7 (14:25):
He had a game like that in the last round
as well, it is pretty inexplicable given the stakes. But
I think I would also say that I strongly expect
a bounce back response in Game six. But you know
what I mean, It's gonna be really interesting because the
Pacers know they have to finish this thing off at

(14:48):
home and they can't risk giving the Knicks any more
life and hope. So it's gonna be really interesting to
see how they deal with the pressure now because they
went from up three to one, everybody is writing them
into the NBA Finals and now.

Speaker 6 (15:09):
I mean must win game.

Speaker 7 (15:10):
I guess technically it isn't, but I do think psychologically
it is.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
Uh yeah, I think psychologically it definitely definitely is. That's
I'm completely on board with that mentality of it.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
It is a.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Gottlieb show here on Fox Sports Radio. Okay, let's get
to the Thunder. How are they viewed by the rest
of the league.

Speaker 7 (15:34):
I think during the season there was skepticism. Maybe I
was slow to believe it, but yeah, I think there
was a lot of.

Speaker 6 (15:46):
Not out loud but.

Speaker 7 (15:47):
Whispered skepticism about how good this team really is. But
there shouldn't there shouldn't be And the way they just
emphatically beat a very good Minnesota team that I think
I've said it with you every single week. We've done
this throughout the playoffs. I think outside of the Pacers,
the Wolves were probably the most underrated team in the
league coming into this postseason, and the Thunder just absolutely

(16:11):
shut them down. Their defense is that good. It's you know,
their starters lay great defense, they bring in Caruso and Wallace,
and their reserve unit plays even better defense. I mean,
they they really made life uncomfortable for a Wolves team
that felt pretty good about itself going into that series.

(16:35):
And you know, okay, they didn't have a seventy win
total in the regular season, but they did everything else
and the numbers tell you that nobody should beat the Thunder,
they should win it all, and they're going to be,
I think, a decided favorite against whoever survives the East,

(16:56):
and the defense is just a huge part of it.
They just make life very, very uncomfortable for the opposition.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
You know what's interesting, Mark is that.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
We've talked about this this week, where you know there's
a world war, it's going to be a lowly rated
unless it's New York. It's gonna be a low rated
NBA Finals because there's no Staph, because there's no Lebron,
because there's no Yiannis, because there's no a Joker, that
there'll be the perception that this is the least talented
NBA Finals in a long time. I look at this

(17:28):
and I think there's a world again. I'm not saying
Shay is Steph or Shae is Jordan, but these teams
look like those two teams, the first Warriors championship team
and the first Bulls Jordan championship team more so than
anything else. Right, and let me kind of I give
you my the hypothesies on it, and you feel free

(17:50):
to pick holes in it. Right, Shae has been improving
every year. Last year was in the MVP discussion. This
year is the MVP. Jalen Williams is his number, his sidekick,
and again kind of an underrated under radar, finally an
all star. And then you have a young burgeoning I
don't know, I don't think he's gonna be a superstar,
but potential star and a Chet Holmgren right, who still

(18:11):
has a lot of growth potential, and you know, and
then they went out and they got Caruso, and I
think Caruso won them the Denver series. Hartenstein obviously gives
them a big body inside so they can play Chet
over at the four. And it looks like again, remember
those the first Bulls team that won it, right, Horace
Grant was young, Scottie Pitten was young Jordan It couldn't

(18:32):
you know, couldn't win the big series, let alone the
big Game.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
And then they went out and.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
Added Bill Cartwright, added a couple pieces, and they go
on to win three titles.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
That that Warriors team.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
Right, they add Andrea Guadala, but it's a different Andrea
Gadala than the twenty eth game when he's in Philadelphia, right,
role playing Andrea Gudala. They got bench guys like Livingston
and the other bench guys are really the strength of
the team. And as much as we think now of
Clay as a bona Hall of Famer, at that point
in time, he was not. At that point time, Draymond

(19:05):
was not. So again, I don't want to say this
is a dynasty in the making, but there's a world
where it is.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
Is there not?

Speaker 6 (19:14):
Well?

Speaker 7 (19:15):
I think the reason is because they're just so well
set up for the future. I mean, just Sam Presty
has done a masterful job putting this team together and
they just have so many options going forward, which recent
champions have not. As soon as the Celtics won it
last season, the talk started, then how on earth are

(19:37):
they going to be able to afford keeping this team together?
But we know because the thunder have this just closet
full of draft picks, that they can use those picks
to make trades or they can keep some of them.
And it's so crucial in this new NBA world we
live in with these luxury tax aprons to have players

(20:02):
come in who can make a difference, but on rookie
scale deals that are not being I mean, when if
you're trying to have three high salary players that's where
you run into trouble, and you're going to get into
these second eight. You're going to get to the first
apron and the second apron and you're going to lose
all the team building tools that you need to put

(20:22):
guys around them. That's what so interesting about Okay. See,
obviously they you know, Shaze up for an extension and
Jalen Williams and chet Holmgren and you know they're going
to have to you know, they already did an extension
with Caruso during the season. I mean, it would be
expensive if you try to keep this group together, just

(20:42):
like it would be for any team. But again, they
have so many options going forward. And look, I think
you're right. People are going to talk about market size
and the stars that aren't in the finals, But like
I think for for us, like if you like basketball,
you're gonna watch the finals. Like I don't need a

(21:03):
quote Marquee Star or a big market team to make
me want to watch the finals. It's the two best
teams at the end of a long season. But you know,
I guess we're in the minority, and that is it
is gonna be. I think an incessant and annoying subject
line that's talked about throughout the Finals coming up.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
Okay, let's let's circle back to the Knicks and the Pacers.
A lot of talk about, you know, can Brunson be
the guy to lead a team? You know, can you
can you win with him and Karl Anthony Towns on
the floor at the same time. Obviously their defense called
in the question. I do think we're kind of missing
the point, right, Like, this is the Knicks and they're

(21:44):
competing for for for an NBA Finals appearance, Like there's
massive growth that's taking place. What are your thoughts on
the compilation of talent and whether or not it's it's enough,
whether it's this year or in the near future.

Speaker 7 (22:01):
Well, look, we're going to have to see the end results,
because if the Knicks lose, this was a glorious opportunity
to get to the finals, that will have slipped away
from them. And how they respond to that is going
to be something It's going to be a significant question.

Speaker 6 (22:16):
Of the offseason.

Speaker 7 (22:17):
You know, they have tried to surround Brunson in Towns
with wings who play defense and can mitigate the defensive
issues that you have with those two as your stars,
Brunson has gotten better every single season. I saw him
up close for the first four years of his career,

(22:39):
and I definitely think he's proven he can be the
lead guy on a title team. But yes, you're going
to have to put the exact, precise right pieces around him,
and they're going to have to decide did they see
enough progress this season?

Speaker 6 (22:54):
And again if they don't get out of this series.

Speaker 7 (22:57):
And now if they come back and win this thing
and set you know, that potentially changes the whole tender
around this team too. So I think we don't really
have the answers there yet. But you know, I don't
think the Knicks have any doubts about Brunson being the

(23:17):
guy to build their team around. He has proven to
be so much better than even they thought. And the
willingness he showed to take a contract lesser than he
could have commanded to help them with flexibility to build
out the team. I mean, he's beyond how good he

(23:40):
is as a player. He's just so valuable from the
vibes perspective and just the way people want to rally
around him and play with him. Like So, look, the
Knicks are in a great place, even if they lose
this series, but there is going to be huge, huge
frustration because they took out Boston. Philly never came close

(24:05):
to being the factor that people anticipated. Milwaukee was not
the factor that people anticipated. The Heat imploded after the
Jimmy Butler trade. So the East has been more for
the taking than we anticipated. And if the Knicks don't
take it, no question they're going to be there's going
to be some reflection and hard questions asked after this season.

Speaker 1 (24:28):
All right, there's lots of talk that this is going
to be a tumultuous offseason. Start what Kevin Durant most
likely to be moved.

Speaker 6 (24:38):
It starts with Yannis. We have to know.

Speaker 7 (24:41):
We have to see first what happens with Gianness, and
there's not clarity there yet. You have a lot of
teams around the league who are plotting to make trade
offers for him, and we don't have an indication yet.

Speaker 6 (24:54):
Is Jannis going to ask out of Milwaukee what.

Speaker 7 (24:57):
He does, whether he pledges to stay or ask them
to trade him. I think that kind of has to
happen first. Yes, there is the anticipation that Durant one
where the other is going to be made available, and
that he's not going to stick around in Phoenix. But
I think we have to start with where.

Speaker 6 (25:16):
Things go with Yiannis.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
What do the Celtics do.

Speaker 7 (25:22):
I think they're going to explore the trade market and
see what they can do.

Speaker 6 (25:30):
Porzingis is the easiest.

Speaker 7 (25:32):
One to move because he's on an expiring deal. Drew
Holliday and look, I don't think they want to trade
any of these guys, but it's just the reality. I mean,
they had they won, had they won it all and
repeated as champions, you can then make the case, all right,
this is going to be highly uncomfortable, highly expensive, but
let's deal with it. Because we have a team that's

(25:54):
won two titles in a row. They not only didn't repeat,
but they've lost Tatum to this Devin dating injury that's
going to sideline him most likely for a year.

Speaker 6 (26:04):
I mean, you.

Speaker 7 (26:04):
Can't justify having this ridiculously high payroll. So it's going
to be it's it's not going to be easy. The
salary cap gymnastics involved are going to be really, really tough.
Brad Stevens has an unenviable job this summer trying to
figure it out. But what happens with porzingis what happens
with Drew Holiday. Those are really the two players I
think teams are looking at the most.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
Okay, what about the Lakers? What do they look like
next year?

Speaker 7 (26:32):
Well, assuming Lebron James comes back and he has a
player option worth more than fifty million, so the anticipation
is that he exercises that player option to stay. If
that happens, they don't have flexibility to do that much.
They will try again to find a trade for a center,
because they know, I mean, we saw them. They tried

(26:56):
the deadline to get the center. They made the trade
for Charlotte's Mark Williams that trade, so everyone knows they
need a starting level center, a rim running center, the
kind of center that Luka Doncis has always played alongside
in Dallas and flourished alongside.

Speaker 6 (27:13):
Do they have the.

Speaker 7 (27:14):
Draft or do they have the trade pieces to make
that kind of trade? They would obviously prefer not to
trade Austin Reeves, but you know that chatter will emerge
and circulate all summer, like will the Lakers be willing
to entertain offers for him? So it kind of starts
with Lebron in his decision because they don't have financial

(27:38):
flexibility to just go out and make dramatic moves. They
still have the exact same trade pieces that they used
in the theoretical Mark Williams deal. But is there a
center out there that they can get who really moves
the needle. That's not clear yet.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
I guess my thought on the on Lebron is I mean,
obviously he's gonna resign. My thing is, we do realize
Lebron's gonna play two more years his He quite obviously
wants to be the greatest dad ever for his kids,
and he doesn't though he cares, he doesn't really care
that he's going to He made them draft Brownie. How

(28:18):
can he make him draft Bronnie and not make him
draft Price? Right, how can you play with one kid?
He's gonna do two years in LA. It's gonna happen,
isn't it.

Speaker 7 (28:30):
I really don't know. I mean, with the theory you
lay out there, it's certainly there's you know, it's.

Speaker 6 (28:37):
Plausible, But I don't know. I don't know what happens
after this season.

Speaker 7 (28:45):
I mean, the way he played, the level he's playing at,
you could certainly see him playing more than one more year.

Speaker 6 (28:51):
But then again, this season. You know, does he want.

Speaker 7 (28:55):
To go out after year twenty three with an All
Star Game? I mean, I could see that too. It's
hard to I can't pretend to get in his head
and know exactly what his plan is. Is there anywhere
else he could realistically go, or is there somewhere else
he wants to play?

Speaker 6 (29:15):
I think only he knows.

Speaker 7 (29:16):
I mean, by all accounts, he's been incredibly happy in LA.
But I think at some point the Lakers are going
to want to move on and make this fully a
Luka Doncic operation. So it's not clear cut that, you know,
I think it's pretty clear cut, pretty widely anticipated that

(29:37):
he ops in for this next season. What happens after
this season, I can't tell you right now at the
end of May and twenty twenty five, No.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
I can't either. I'm I'm I'm theorizing, and I'm fascinated
to see what happens. Last thing. Again, you're not putting
your bet money on. But if you did put your
bet money, well, we have a game seven in New York.

Speaker 7 (30:01):
I picked the Pacers in six before the series, and
since my Western Conference pick was so bad, I'm gonna
fully back my Pacers and six prediction and see if
I get if I if I bat at least five
hundred in the Western in the conference finals.

Speaker 6 (30:18):
So good good, I am, I am.

Speaker 7 (30:20):
At, I am anticipating a strong rebound from the Pacers.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
There you got it.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
It's Doug Gottlieb Show, Fox portrayer. That's Mark Stein. Okay,
go check out his substack called the Steinlin. He's awesome, Mark,
Thanks so much for joining us. Have a great weekend.
You all right, that's some my guy, Mark Stein, Fox
Sports Radio, NBA correspondent of course, author of the Steinlin,
which is a substack. Come up next, how much would
it cost you to get into Game seven at the
Gadden if the nixt win?

Speaker 2 (30:48):
Height on next. Thanks for listening to the Doug Gotlieb
Show podcast.

get to the press, the press.

Speaker 8 (31:29):
I Low, what do you got, Bud Doug Front Office
Sports reports the tickets for a potential Game seven of
the Eastern Conference Finals between the Nix and Indiana Pacers
at Madison Square Garden starts at over one thousand dollars.

Speaker 4 (31:47):
They say it is the most expensive game on record
in terms of average purchase price. In fact, the current
average purchase price is one thousand and five one hundred
and sixty five dollars. And I'm no expert, but if
there turns out to be a Game seven, I would

(32:07):
anticipate that price would go up between now and then.
So I've got kind of a map here of Madison
Square Garden if you want it, can give you some
specific prices at some of the seat locations around the arena.
Roughly speaking, if you'd.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
Like, we're seat in the house, what is it wors
seat in the house.

Speaker 4 (32:26):
We're looking at one thousand, three hundred and ninety dollars
for upper level kind of above the sideline. Meanwhile, upper
level above the baselines at.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
One of the million dollars acterually a.

Speaker 4 (32:42):
Little less one thousand, six hundred and forty eight dollars,
but that comes with a free Hubble telescope included.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Look at you, you're so funny. I low.

Speaker 5 (32:54):
Meanwhile, down it's like watching fleas on parade or you know,
like a flea circus, and you're like, I can kind
of see what they're doing ones on the trapeze if
I squit my eyes really really hard, I can see
what they're doing.

Speaker 4 (33:05):
Meanwhile, down in the Doug Gottlieb seats, we have fourteen thousand,
nine hundred and seventy seven dollars for one seat.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
Things I would not do pay fourteen thousand dollars. And
by the way, those I get that that's with list
done stop up. Doesn't mean that's what they're actually going for.
But if you think about it, if it's on step up,
then you gotta pay all those fees as well.

Speaker 4 (33:26):
Oh gosh, I forgot about those. Those are the worst. Yes, oh,
that's a great point. I forgot about that.

Speaker 3 (33:33):
Tracy Morgan doesn't care. He'll pay it.

Speaker 4 (33:36):
I know he could. Props to him. He can afford it.
Although I will say this. I guess some of those
some of those court side seats are like the big
talent agencies, they have season tickets and they just give
their celeb clients the seats.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
That's true. Rich people don't actually have to pay for anything.

Speaker 4 (33:56):
Yeah, it's kind of an inverse thing that, Yeah, doesn't
really make some often wealthy people they you know, they
get they get a lot of freebies. But that is
life anyway. So that is the latest update, and I
think that that price again might go up elsewhere. It
is official. Scott Hanson has signed a long term extension
to remain the host of the popular Sunday NFL Red

(34:19):
Zone show. It's very, very popular, you know that the
whip around show. And it was thought, well, wait a minute,
he might go somewhere else, he might be in great demand,
but he will return to that show.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
I love I love Scott. This is a non story.
This is Scott leaking out. This contract was up and
then he yet renewed. Like, who's going to play Scott Hanson.
He's synonymous with Red Zone.

Speaker 4 (34:46):
That's the thing. It takes a very particular skill set.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
Now Andrews Cilliano doesn't do the other one right, or
does he.

Speaker 4 (34:52):
Well, he doesn't anymore because he's the new radio voice
of the Cleveland Browns, the team that he grew up adoring.
The one other part of that skill set. How can
I put this delicately? Apparently mister Hanson is able to
do the entire eight hour program without taking a restroom break.

Speaker 3 (35:10):
I could do that, and he's wearing a diaper. I
could do that.

Speaker 4 (35:15):
Are you talking?

Speaker 5 (35:17):
Is there an indy car driver who had to relieve
himself in his own breeches.

Speaker 4 (35:22):
That's actually a good question about how that all works.
You know, you're going two and a half hours minimum
of athletic event. I'm sure you're in a hot cockpit
in the car.

Speaker 5 (35:33):
There was like a forty five minute delay for the start.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
Yeah, well you can get out.

Speaker 5 (35:37):
Then No, he couldn't get out. He had to stay
in there. So he's just like, I just gotta go.

Speaker 3 (35:42):
I gotta go.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (35:42):
I'm not sure how that works, but.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
Just go, man.

Speaker 4 (35:45):
I I hate to bear I hate to bury the
lead an issue a challenge that I didn't think I'd
be issuing. But you're saying you could go through an
eight hour broadcast without answering nation Nature's call once. That's
your you've done that for eight hours.

Speaker 3 (36:02):
I got I got a name for you. Two words,
Corey Booker.

Speaker 5 (36:07):
Did you guys hear like he did like the longest,
like twenty five hour bottlebuster? Yeah, and I think he
like he like didn't drink water, eat food like the
day prior. So he was just completely like a raisin
up there, just talking and talking and talking, Corey Booker.

Speaker 3 (36:22):
If he can do it, you can too.

Speaker 4 (36:23):
So you actually have gone several hours, Doug. You're saying
you've already done something like this. Yeah, okay, when during
a broadcast or something or what.

Speaker 1 (36:32):
Yeah, I've done I've done six hour broadcast. I've done
I used to do a six hour show on ESPN
Radio when I first started. I've not gone to the
bathroom or a six hours show, not you know mine,
never matter. I've driven that far and not gone not
gone number one. Listen, I know him the timing of everything. Now,
I'm old enough to know. Just give me a give

(36:53):
me a window about fifteen minutes, thirty minutes after I
drink coffee.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
After that, I'm pretty much good.

Speaker 4 (36:59):
So you're claiming that you're number one at not going
number one? Correct, that's good there's another line for your
Twitter bio. Okay, well just one thing though. Yeah, we
have Superman coming out this summer. He's the Man of Steel,
Doug is the Ladder of Steel. Evidently, perhaps there's an

(37:20):
endorsement deal that can be worked out there. And our
final item, of course in the NBA. Yes, very good,
very good, very good. I knew better than to raise
that whole line of discussion, but what can I say,
final item here on this edition to the press out
of the NBA. Denver recently made David Adelman their full

(37:42):
time permanent head coach, but they are not bringing back
four assistant coaches next season, according to Chris Haynes, who
said that Ryan Saunders, Popeye Jones, Charles Klask and Steven
Graham will not be back as assistants. They were all
together on the staff last year, obviously under the previous

(38:04):
permanent head coach in Michael Malone.

Speaker 1 (38:07):
Yeah, I mean not abnormal that you have a new
staff with a new coach. What is abnormal was the
staff stuck together and now they pick one guy and
everybody's got to go.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
But my guess is.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
That Adaman would not have Adaman approved of this, whether
he has blood on his hands in public or not,
there's no question that if he wanted those guys to
stay as assistant coach as they would stay.

Speaker 4 (38:35):
And that a clude that concludes this. I'm trying to
make a pun about our previous discussion, plot and topic,
but I won't. That concludes this edition of the press
that get out there and pressed.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
That was the press.

Speaker 1 (38:49):
It's a nug Gottlieb show here on Fox Sports Radio. Okay,
here's the question, guys, will we have a game seven
on Monday?

Speaker 2 (38:59):
Will we have a game?

Speaker 4 (39:00):
Question about it? No question about question about it?

Speaker 3 (39:03):
No. I think the Pacers get it done well.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
We've seen these close out games at home. They've been
all blowouts. The Pacers are four point favorites, four point favorites, burst,
you're gonna take a swing at it.

Speaker 3 (39:13):
I think whoever wins this series is gonna win it
at home. So I don't think the Pacers win in seven.
But I think the Pacers win in six. I think
that's what happens.

Speaker 1 (39:21):
That was a long way of saying the Pacer We're
not going to have a game seven? Ye right, Yes,
I want a game seven so bad in Madison Square Garden.
That it's completely rotted by brain. I'm gonna say it's
gonna happen. Stut Gottlieb Show Manifesting Things on Fox Sports
