Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, this is the Doug Gottlieb Show. Years in
the Bonus with Doug Gottlieb.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Gottlieb Show, Fox Sports Radio, iHeartRadio app. I got a
question for you. What did Shakespeare mean when he said
what's her name? What did he mean when he said
what's her name? Because I think it's fascinating what's happening
(00:34):
in college sports. If you woke up today, turn on
social media, you saw that apparently Oregon State and Washington
State have convinced the likes of San Diego State, Colorado State,
and a couple others to join the PAC twelve. And
you're like, wow, that looks really a lot like the
Mountain West with Oregon State and Washington State. And why
(00:58):
would you have to ask yourself why I would the
teams in the Mountain West, a stable, growing quality league,
why would they leave and join the new PAC twelve. Well, first,
for someone like San new State, they've always wanted to
be in the PAC twelve. Problem is they want to
be in the PAC twelve when they had USC and
UCLA in the league. Now they're not. So it's like, hey,
good news, you're in the PAC twelve. The bad news
is you're not really in the PAC twelve. You're in
(01:19):
the Mountain West. And the reason that Oregon State and
Washington State want to do it is the longer the
league stays together, they get to collect all the exit
fees from all the rest of the conference schools. And
my guess is we're gonna sprinkle some of that massive
amount of money back to these new schools. But what's
the point. It's like, it's like they're the mcdowells to McDonald's.
(01:39):
It's not the PAC twelve. If you don't have USC,
you don't have UCLA, you don't have Arizona and Arizona State,
you don't have col and Stanford, you ain't got shit.
I understand they're chasing that automatic berth to the College
Football Playoff. I understand you're chasing that big TV contract
that's never gonna come. The TV contract is based upon
having us see football on the air.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
You don't have that.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
What's the value? So congratulations PAC twelve, or shall I
call you McDowell's to the McDonald's that was the PAC ten.
Speaker 1 (02:14):

Speaker 2 (02:33):
It's Doug Gottlieb Show. You're on Fox Sports Radio. He
joins us every week and I really enjoy it. It's
our chance to really dive in and talk college football.
Kelly Ford joins us as k Ford rankings are out
on a weekly basis, and of course it was predictive
analysis before the season came out, and now we got
(02:53):
a couple weeks under our belt. Kelly, what's the biggest
change in your rankings this week from last week?
Speaker 4 (03:00):
Yeah, Doug, thanks for having me. I always appreciate some
big changes to the power ratings this week when you
look at big movers, I'll fix the Power five ranks.
Indiana University out of the Big ten. Kurt Signetty, new
coach in Bloomington, certainly accomplished a lot at James Madison.
The Hooters have been upgraded more than a touchdown from
last week to this week. Of course, they've got a big,
big ten game this week on the road at Ucla
(03:21):
in primetime on NBC, So that's going to be a
good game to watch. IU as a big riser. South
Carolina another team that really impressed. Teams that moved down
a long way in the power ratings here this week
Kentucky losing the South Carolina and Notre Dame. Talk about
a shock result in South Bend. The Irish were downgraded
more than four points in my model. Their chances now
(03:41):
to be in the CFP conversation at the end of
the year have plummeted. It was well above fifty percent
going into last week. I'm now down in about the
ten percent range for the Irish to get an at
large bid. So a lot of shakeup in the power
ratings after what was an eventful Week two and a
huge slate in week three where a lot more is
going to change again.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
Okay, so my question with Notre Dame is this, and
a lot of it is it's we don't know about
everybody else, but we can assume that in the SEC
everybody's going to lose a game or two. Right, Let's
say they lose one, no more games the rest of
the year. What again, predictive analysis, what's the likely that
(04:20):
they make the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
So right now, my numbers assign a nine percent chance
that Notre Dame wins each of their remaining games and
finishes at eleven and one. I will tell you that,
regardless of what any model says, regardless of what any
resume metrics says, I do not believe that at eleven
and one Notre Dame, even with a loss at home
to Northern Illinois. I do not believe the committee would
leave out the eleven and one Notre Dame fighting iris
(04:42):
with that brand, with that profile, in this first year
of the twelve team playoffs. So my number right now
is fign a nine percent chance and they get to that.
Now where it gets dicey is if Notre Dame goes
ten and two, And I think if those two losses,
and this is not what the mass suggests, but the
reality doug those two losses, it matters. And so they've
now lost to NIU. Who's the other los to? Is
that USC?
Speaker 5 (05:01):
Is it?
Speaker 4 (05:02):
You know, Louisville? Is it Georgia Tech? Who's out of
the lost? I think ten and two get dicey. But
the Irish at eleven and one will feel very good
about their chances and right now, I've got that with
nine percent to happen.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
How much it depends upon what Northern Illinois does from
this point forward.
Speaker 4 (05:14):
Yeah, I would say I would say a little bit,
but really not a ton. Certainly it's going to help
Notre Dame if Northern Illinois is the G five AQ
into the playoff. Right we know there's one playoff spot
at a minimum reserved for a team from the Group
of five. If NIU goes on and wins the match
and ends up being the highest ranked Group of five champion,
they'll be in the playoff. And certainly that loss quote
(05:35):
unquote looks a lot better. The reality is from the
from the math standpoint, it's not going to change a
whole lot and maybe and I use a lot better
than we think. They're currently power rated number seventy five.
So it's a bad result for Notre Dame right now.
It could look better come the end of the year,
but we're not projecting NIU to be that at large
or that that AQ from the G five ranks right now.
That designation belongs to Boise State. However, and IU did
(05:57):
do enough this week to become my new favorite in
the Mid American Conference, taking over for a Miami team
that had held that spot up to this point.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Okay, let's go to a couple of other teams in
a couple of other leagues, which are really interesting. Kelly
Ford join us. Go to Kpford Ratings dot com. Kford
Ratings dot com. Kind of sneaky big one here in
the Big Twelve. Tomorrow night, Arizona on the road. First
Big Twelve travel to Kansas State. What's some predicative analysis
(06:26):
say where the line is. Kansastate's a seven point favorite
and the totals fifty nine and a half.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
So this is a huge game in the Big twelve.
And it's actually the game that I identified in the
preseason as the most impactful Big twelve non conference game
of the entire state. Because remember, Doud, while these two
teams are conference mates this year in the Big Twelve,
this is a non conference game. It was scheduled as
a home and home before the realignment happened and they
decided to keep it. So this will not count in
the Big twelve standing, but I do think this is
(06:54):
a very informative game. It's going to let both these
teams know kind of where they stand. I've got Kansas
State right now as a favorite to make it to
Arlington and play for the Big Twelve championship. Utah remains
my favorite to win that game, but Kansas State is
their opponent. Arizona is a team that has been downgraded
a little bit in the power rating since the beginning
of the year. If I go to their page, you
know they're down more than five and a half points
(07:14):
from the preseason. Of course, you have a new coaching
staff in there, a lot of turnover, but there were
still excitement, you know, with the quarterback position and everything
that they showed last year in Tucson. It was certainly
an air of optimism. They have now been downgraded five
and a half points. That's in the bottom ten nationally
in FBS. In my model for teams that have been
downgraded from preseason the current they are two to zero,
but haven't looked necessarily super impressive in either of those games,
(07:36):
especially the past week at home against FDS Northern Arizona
only winning twenty two to ten. For this game in particular,
my numbers like Kansas State eighty two percent win expectancy
certainly expect the Wildcats to have a significant advantage on
the offensive side. Of the ball against the Arizona defense
that I have number sixty nine in the country. That's
the worst unit in this game. I think it's a
(07:57):
bit more even on the other side. Arizona's offensive number
twenty three, case States defense is number twenty seven. I
think the difference in this game one it's in Manhattan,
and two that Kansas State offense with Avery Johnson their quarterback.
I think they're going to be able to score enough points.
But this is certainly a huge game for the Big twelve,
even though it's not a conference game.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Kelly for joining us Kford Ratings dot Com is the
is the website and go to Alabama traveling to Wisconsin
to take on the Badgers in Camp Randall. What's your
predicted predictive analysis?
Speaker 4 (08:27):
Say, this is a huge non conference game, big brand.
You know, it's not every year that you get an
Alabama team's playing not just a power for conference opponent
away from home, but coming up to Big ten country
and doing it kind of north of the Mason Dixon, Right.
This doesn't happen a whole lot for Alabama, and I
think they played at Penn State a handful of years ago.
But my numbers really like Alabama Crimson Tide. Right now,
(08:48):
they are number four in my power ratings. Wisconsin right
now is at number fifty two. So even though this
is a road game, I've got a ninety three percent
win expectancy for the Crimson Tide, and notably here, Doug.
Because of the chain in the power ratings this past week,
I actually now have Alabama very very slightly projected to
be a favorite to make it to Atlanta, where they
(09:08):
would take on Texas in the SEC Championship Game. So
I have Georgia power rated number one in my model
right now, But because Georgia's schedule is so difficult, the
second most difficult in the entire country, I actually don't
have Georgia currently slated to compete in the SEC Championship Game.
Alabama has taken that spot. So the Crimson Tide have
looked really good here with a new coaching staff, Taylin
(09:30):
Devor has done a great job of transitioning. This is
a big test, though, their biggest test of the year,
their first time going away from Tuscaloosa, and then they're
going to need a good performance to go into their
off week because then they do welcome the Georgia Bulldogs
of Town and we five and what's going to be
a massive blockbuster game in just a couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Colorado Colorado State again, both teams one and one. I
don't think a lot of people have any a ton
of hope from Colorado State in the Mountain West and
Colorado though they're not yet in Big Twelve play. Considering
the thumping they took and the fact they haven't fixed
their offensive line or the running game, it doesn't look
like it'll be a great season. But it is one
of the most watched games in college football last year,
(10:08):
and I think people pay attention this year. What are
your thoughts on Colorado Colorado State.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
I think Colorado State remembers how the game went last year.
They were right there. It was a huge audience. Now
they get the bus to come to their place. I
do have an eighty one percent win expectancy for Colorado.
And the difference here in this game is that Colorado
offense that I have number forty two in the country,
this Colorado State defense is number one sixteen, So I
just think there's a huge mismatch there. Even though it's
(10:34):
a road game for Colorado. On the other side, it's
actually maybe leaning Colorado State. This Colorado defense is the
reason that the numbers are not supportive of this team
making a push in the Big Twelve this year. You know,
you've got a thirty five percent chance to go bowling
now for the Buffs in my model, so it's really
five and sevens looking like your most likely record. You've
downgraded Colorado more than four points since the start of
(10:56):
the year. The defense is number one hundred and twelve
in the country. I don't like college as prospects as
on the season to end up going bowling again thirty
five percent chance, But I do like their chances to
win this game because their offense. I think they're just
going to overpower that Rams defense. I've got an eighty
one percent win expectancy here for the buff And let
me just say, Doug, if Colorado fails to win this game,
you're looking at like a catastrophic nightmare type scenario because
(11:19):
you know, Baylor comes to Boulder next week and maybe
that's a win, But then you're looking at a tough
stretch on the road at UCF off week, Kansas stay
at home at Arizona. I mean, this season can get
off the rails for the bus if they don't win
this game, but I do expect them to get it done.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
A couple other games of note that I don't know
if people are paying attention to. Do you think people
know that Missouri is ranked sixth in the country or
that Boston College is ranked twenty fourth in the country.
Tiger is a big sixteen point favorite at home in Columbia,
But I just what leads people to believe that Missouri
is that good.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
This is such a sneaky good game this weekend. I'm
really excited about it. And Boston College they are my
number one biggest overachievers so far this year in the model.
They have been upgraded eight point two points, more than
a touchdown since the preseason the current in the model
that is number one in all of FBS. So Boston
College certainly under Bill O'Brien's playing much better than we expected,
(12:17):
getting that great opening our week one win on Labor
Day in Florida State, following that up with a fifty
six and nothing's drubbing of fdsdukn But Missouri, you're right,
they're the favorite, They're at home their contender in the SCC,
largely because this schedule is not that difficult. Now, this
Boston College game looks a lot supper than it did
in the preseason. But Missouri for me, is number thirteen
in the Power Ratings. They've got a top ten offense
(12:38):
to number eleven on defense. I expect them to have
the advantage on both sides of the ball here and
the fact they're at home. I've got a seventy five
percent win expectancy. So you play this game four times,
I expect the Tigers to win at three. But don't
take anything away from Boston College and the start of
the season that they've had. This is a big test
for them, the biggest they've had. Like, don't look now,
but if Boston College somehow goes to Columbia here and
(12:58):
gets this win against Missouri, I mean it is likely
at that point that they will be six and oh
coming off of an off week going to Blacksburg to
play Virginia Tech on a Thursday night. They could be
undefeated coming off and off weekend, extra week to prep
on a Thursday night in Blacksburg. That could be musty TV.
Especially if Boston College gets it done this weekend against
(13:18):
missouris awesome stuff.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
Kford Ratings dot Com is the website. Of course, you
can follow him on social media as well on x
We'll see you in person next week. Kelly, you're the
best man. Thanks for joining us.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
Thanks Dog, I appreciate it, looking forward to seeing you.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Doug Gottlieb
Show weekdays at three pm Eastern noon Pacific on Fox
Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Let's find out who or what is annoying Jason Stewart.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
And now it's your annoying.
Speaker 6 (13:55):
Hey, Doug, there's always like that awkward guy in your
friend group that just like awkward questions at the wrong times,
like how much did you pay for your house? Or
what's your girlfriend's cup size? Like those idiots. I think
asking athletes who they're voting for should become that that person.
(14:18):
If you are a member of the media or reporter
right now listening to this podcast and you hear a
colleague ask an athlete who they're voting for, shame them,
Shame them. It's nobody's business. And in this political atmosphere,
it's that awkward question that owns that there's no win.
There's no win in the answer. I'll give you two
examples here's Patrick Mahomes yesterday for President Trump.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
Repfords, you and your family again to the Fox News
in relation to this campaign.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
I just want what your reaction is to seeing that.
Speaker 5 (14:47):
Yeah, I think I've always said I don't want my
place in my platform to be used to endorse a
candidate or do whatever each either way, I think my
place is to inform people to get registered to vote,
is to inform people to do their own research and
then make their best decision for them and their family.
And so I think that's where every time I'm on
this stage and I get to ask these questions, I
(15:08):
to refer back to that, because I think that's what
makes America so great.
Speaker 6 (15:11):
Caitlin Clark had the goal to like an Instagram post
by Taylor Swift and it deserved her this question.
Speaker 7 (15:19):
You liked an Instagram post last night from Taylor Swift.
They got a lot of attention, and I'm just curious
if you could tell us what that post meant to
you and if you are in fact potentially going to
endorse Kamala Harris.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
Thank you.
Speaker 8 (15:37):
Iday For myself is you know, I have this amazing platform,
So I think the biggest thing would just encourage people
to register to vote. I think gross up at the
second time I can live in an election at age
twenty two, had the vote when.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
I was.
Speaker 6 (15:50):
So Stop asking athletes that they're voting for there's no
win in it. I know Michael Jordan had the thing
about the repokens by shoes too. That has nothing to
do with this. Each of these people that you just
heard and have platforms, but they also have massive fan bases.
Why would they alienate half of their fan base? And
I know you people on the left are screaming, what
(16:10):
do you mean half the people everybody is for Kamala Harris. Nope,
seventy five million people voted for Trump, eighty million people
voted for Biden. That's a shitload of people that believe
in the other side. So there's no reason to answer
the question. There's certainly no reason to ask the question nowadays.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
I agree with you wholeheardly, Can I can I put
an amendment to it?
Speaker 6 (16:35):
Sure?
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Okay, if somebody wants to talk about it, if they
want to be someone who wants their opinion out there,
then that changes, right, And I think therein lies kind
of the hard part with Caitlin Clark is liking something
isn't making a political statement. So I agree with you
on and I don't think Pat Mahomes did anything to
(16:59):
bring that attention. That one is that's because his wife
wants the attention. His wife came out and supported Donald Trump.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
Right.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
That one I put more on his wife than I
do the reporter. The other one is a bit of
a gray area because she liked a politically based tweet.
I would still probably stay away from with Kate and
Clark unless she decides she wants to.
Speaker 5 (17:20):
Talk about it.
Speaker 6 (17:20):
That's exactly it. That's exactly and most people don't want
that smoke. I give credits to Steve Kerr and Stephen
Curry recently. They're very much pro Kamwa Harrison. That's cool.
But I will say this, They've made a shitload of money,
They've had their careers. There's not a whole lot of
risk in those two supporting a political candidate. You're talking
about Mahomes and Clark here at the peak of their popularity.
(17:43):
There's just no reason answer that question. So if Johnny
Man's here's a good rule of thumb. If Johnny manziel
is the book is the voice of reason, you've probably
done something really shitty. Here's Johnny Manzil on Shader Sanders
throwing his offfensive line under the bus.
Speaker 9 (18:01):
I was O lining the Colorado, I'd be absolutely pissed.
I mean, I really just don't see how you do this.
I don't see how you come out and throw your
own guys under the bus that you're working with, grinding
with every single week, week in and week out. I mean,
if I'm looking at that game, I know, early on
in the game, I know one thing you don't do
from a quarterback perspective is throw a hitch route, you know,
late and on the inside for a pick six. So
I mean there's a lot of blame there and that
(18:23):
throw that should door made as well to turn into
a pick six early in the game and really got
things you know, started for Nebraska. So this is something
you don't do. I mean, your guys or your guys
you know, you're supposed to rock with them through thick
and thin. Obviously, you know, frustrations and things arise. But
you know, for me and my instances and my time
in the past, your O line or your guys who
ride with you, who rock with you, you know, anytime
(18:45):
your quarterback gets hit late. The first person that you
see there, you're o lineman. This is something that may
make some of those guys really hesitant to to pick
you up after a couple of people may bang your around.
Speaker 6 (18:56):
So what I'm annoyed by is Shador Sanders for doing it.
I'm annoyed that Deon Sanders has a come out and
said he shouldn't have done that, which means he probably
supports it. And if Johnny Manziel is the voice of reason,
it tells you where you are.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
I think, Well said, I wish I could add something
to it, but Well said, I want.
Speaker 6 (19:12):
To skip to this because I want to have a
conversation about this. Shannon Sharp posted himself having sex accidentally yesterday.
His first reaction was to say that he was hacked.
And I'll say this, If you say that you're hacked
and then later say you weren't hacked, that just adds
to the skepticism because for everybody who's actually hacked and
(19:36):
has come out and said it, most of us like, uh,
they don't really believe you, but will choose to that
whole I was hacked thing is less believable right now
than it was twenty four hours ago because of Shannon Sharp,
So him not being accountable at first, I wish he
was a little bit more accountable to that part. But
(19:56):
he did come out and say that there's no joke.
He did it and he's embarrassed. And then he added this.
Speaker 10 (20:03):
I called my agency, the agency, I called ESPN. After
I'm like, I just got this good tell him the truth,
I said, I just got to tell him the truth.
My phone wasn't hacked. It wasn't an it wasn't a prank.
It was me being a healthy, active male. I mean,
y'all thought I would bullegiv it. Hey, I'll get it in.
Speaker 6 (20:24):
So so at some point last night it became about
him being like an alpha male and it just happened.
He happened to do like a commercial for Viagra in
the middle of his podcast, and then I started to
seem a little a little contrived. But initially him stating
that he was hacked. That's what's annoying to me about this.
(20:44):
He never really was accountable about that, Like I shouldn't
have said that. That's a reactive thing. Maybe my my
social media person suggested it and I wrongfully said to
do it. So that's the annoying part. Of this, but
in general, this was pretty amusing.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
It was really amusing. I guess here's my question. Do
we believe that it wasn't contrived?
Speaker 6 (21:07):
No? No, especially the more the night went along in
Shannon and Ocho Sinka were joking about it. I mean,
Ocho Cinko's line of the night was I'm just glad
it was a Michelle and not a Michael.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
Which is a real thing. There have been people that
have spread rumors. I don't know what's true.
Speaker 6 (21:25):
Antonio Brown, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
And I don't care, but Antonio Brown has called has
said that he's gay, and then all of a sudden,
some weird cell phone footage like why would you be
on a live there? How does that make any sense?
Speaker 6 (21:38):
None? It makes none. Yeah. There are a lot more
questions and answers on this one.
Speaker 2 (21:43):
Yeah, what else?
Speaker 1 (21:45):
No, that's it.
Speaker 6 (21:46):
So that Shannon Sharp scenario, Shador Sanders and these writers
who think it's cool to ask athletes who they're voting for.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
Writers who think it's cool to ask athletes who they're
voting for. Let get to the Fox says and now
say every dad at this time and the Doug Gatlip
Show in the Bonus podcast, you play for you a
(22:16):
portion of a previous show on Fox Sports Radio or
Fox Sports One. That's what we call it. What does
the Fox say? Here's James Jones talking about Joe Burrow.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
We got to start keeping it real for Joe Burrow.
Speaker 11 (22:26):
If Lamar Jackson throw that ball and his toe ain't out,
there's a lot of ifs. If Jalen Hursts look down
the middle of the field and Reincover two and don't
throw it and it ain't it's a lot of ifs.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
But them dudes take a lot of heat.
Speaker 11 (22:39):
Joe Burrow has not been good man the last two
years and starting off.
Speaker 3 (22:43):
This see, he ain't been good.
Speaker 11 (22:44):
He was five and five last year and then went
out with an injury. All right, then they went four
and three without Joe Burrow. Joe Burrow without top elite
wide receivers is average.
Speaker 5 (22:56):
He is.
Speaker 11 (22:57):
But we ain't keep no, no for real no, but
we keep he keep living on the Super Bowl appearance,
but we don't live on other stuff for other quarterbacks.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
Joe Burrow's not playing good football right now. He ain't right,
and we keep.
Speaker 11 (23:09):
Putting him up there saying he's better than Josh allenh
He the number two quarterback in football. But to be
honest with you, the real is he ain't played well
the last year and a half.
Speaker 6 (23:17):
He ain't.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
You just lost to the Patriots, man, Joe Burrow.
Speaker 11 (23:21):
This is the New England Patriots, and you're supposed to
be the second best quarterback in football. Everybody praising that
you're the only one that could challenge Patrick Mahomes and
all this. Well, the last year and a half, you can't.
You have not been a good quarterback. And if it
was any other quarterback, we wouldn't keep saying, oh, man,
if this, if that, if that, if this, No, the
man got to play better, and he's not, and you
(23:42):
should be nervous.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
Who I guess, here's my here's my question. Okay, this
is a real legit question, which is I don't understand.
I don't understand now. I can't tell you that I
watch enough Joe Burrow, watch enough Bengals, but I don't.
(24:14):
It does feel like kind of an out of nowhere thing,
isn't it.
Speaker 3 (24:17):
Now.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
Part of it is he's always been banged up. I
don't know if you saw he got his elbow or
his wrist hit and he could barely pick up a
football the other week. But it's weird. Like I respect
James Jones. I don't think he's trolling. I think it's
something that he's paying attention to that he looks at.
But I would also tell you that I haven't heard
any of that out of anybody in Cincinnati, and I
know some people in Cincinnati, and I don't know that
(24:39):
anybody doesn't that thinks that he's not elite. So look,
he wasn't good and they got beat. But you know
that he also has to deal with the fact he's
on the Bengals. I think he's get yet the pass
because it's the Bengals, and because people feel like the
Bengals are poorly run and that they're kind of a
thrown together team and his coach, remember, was going to
(24:59):
get fired before he blew up and took him to
the Super Bowl. This is Jonas Knox LaVar Arrington talking
about the Giants.
Speaker 12 (25:10):
They could tell like they're like it's over, like people
have already made up their mind. And if it like
I look at it and I go this situation for
Daniel Jones and the Giants, it's only gonna get worse.
That's what it looks like because it played out on HBO,
and then you've got your coach saying, oh, I would
(25:31):
move up in the draft, I would trade up to
take Jade and Daniels. While you've got this quarterback coming
back from injury. And then you've got Saquon Barkley going
to Philly and looking as good as he did in
his first game in Brazil with the Eagles, Like this
is like, this isn't going to head well for anybody.
Speaker 3 (25:52):
And well for Sakwon Barkley.
Speaker 12 (25:54):
Oh yeah, one hundred percent. But Daniel Jones like Brian
day Ball, like they like it's almost like they're in
no man's land. And the fans there have already just said, listen,
one game, end of the season. We don't care. We're
tired of it. Like you chose. We just saw two
nights earlier, a guy that we could have paid, the guy,
a guy that wanted to stay in New York and
(26:15):
be a Jedi.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
Offense went through. Yes, it's not like he didn't do it,
and then he left. The offense went through Sakwon.
Speaker 12 (26:22):
Barkley go to the arch rival and do what he did.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
Yeah, I mean the the Saquon Barkley thing. Again, it's
one week in the season, but one week in the season.
I think that might be the biggest story in the NFL,
because Daniel Jones thinks, and Saquon Barkley is adding to
not taken away from the Eagles, huge, huge story. Here's
Colin kellerher talking about Sam Dnold listen.
Speaker 13 (26:49):
As America's honesty broker. If one person in the viewing
or listening audience ever supported me one time on Sam Darnold,
I understand, I'm on an island. I'm like Tom Hanks
and caw I'm talking to a volleyball. I'm out here
by myself. I'm on an island going crazy. But you
know what, Eventually Tom Hanks ended up back in insurance
(27:09):
and life ended very, very nice. So I'm gonna be fine.
But I cannot wait because I could have just banged
a drum all week on Sam Donald. No, that's not
who I am. Reticent, quiet, understated.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
He's one of two actually, because everybody knows, no one
loves Sam Donald as much as I love Sam Donald.
Maybe Colin Cowhert or maybe Daniel Jeremiah. That's what the
Fox said. Say that's it for the ind The Modus podcast.
