of it is we're not actually surrounded by the smartest
and least impressionable people. But the health like Obamacare is
actually people that have it really like it because at
the time it was expensive, but what it did was

And now if you don't have insurance, it's crazy expensive.
So anyway, point is that Democrats, on their few wins,
they don't know how to celebrate it. They're always playing defense.
Republicans are always on the offensive. On their few wins,
they celebrate. So I'm going to be like a Republican today, right,

whether a Republican or Democratic, I'm just going to celebrate
I win. I told you Damian Lillard wouldn't fucking work,
and he didn't work. And it does suck that he
tours Achilles Tenant, and it does suck that they he
got released today. And yeah, I'm sure Yannis is a
little his feelies are a little hurt because that was
Yanni's his whole deal. Hey man, I we'll get you

Damian Lillard. But Damian Lillard is just not a championship player.
He just wasn't. And you know, just because a guy
can score thirty a game on a below on a
team that qualified for the playoffs, doesn't mean he can

guys that are stars in their own little feetdom those guys.
When you put him on a team or when somebody
else's team, sometimes it doesn't work. And I don't think

you know, it'd he gone a couple of years ago,
earlier in Portland. Like no, he was never a particularly
good defender. He's never a particularly good finisher. And he
got away with Paul George said it. The shot that
he hit against the Thunder, it was a bad shot.
He made it. He's always it's dame time. It's a
signature shot in the NBA. But too many of those

and you end up losing playoff games. But we try
and do fantasy sports. We try and do fantasy basketball
with real basketball. Oh well, he averages thirty. You add
him to Giannis, he can shoot, it'll work. No, not
a winning player. You're better off with Drew Holliday, who
you know, at his peak average like eighteen a game,
but did all the little things that takes to win
a championship. Anyway, I'm celebrating my wins because guys that

like it's the end of the world, when there's been

Jalen Ramsey was traded to the Steelers. Then all of
a sudden, chefty filled in you know the other stuff,
and that is Mika Fitzpatrick gonna go to the Dolphins.
And then you're also getting another weapon for Aaron Rodgers
and John new Smith felt like that was a win,
at least a temporary win for the Steelers.

Yeah, we talked about this yesterday. This is the Steelers
very unstealer like trying to win this year, right, Aaron Rodgers,
go out and get a DK Metcalf, go out and
get a John Smith, go out and keep TJ Watt,
but don't extend him like they're pushing their chips in.
And they're the conservative, really smart poker player, really smart

blackjack player that's choosing, Ah, you know what, every once
in a while, let's go, let's go for it. And
now they believe is their time. Maybe it's because Aaron
Rodgers give them one of your window. Maybe it's because
they're tired of just being above average. I don't actually know.

how close they actually are what Aaron Rodgers is like
you could have whatever feelings, you can't deny that this
is their plan. It matches with their quarterback, and they'll
figure out tomorrow tomorrow, But for today, dealers are going

let them figure it out. But Lebron in his situation,
his age, is no way in the world he should
just be taking the most money that's going to hinder
the organization.

we'll have to see how it plays out. But one
of the things that's interesting is is what rich Paul's
saying simply to cover up the fact that Lebron doesn't
give a damn about winning anymore. Right, Because if you
really cared about winning, and you're willing to do it

elsewhere or willing to do it in LA first, it's
not giving money. You're not giving any money back. No
one suggesting that you don't still make a ton of money.
And this is how you divvy it up. By picking
up your own option, you have locked yourself into making
fifty three million dollars this year. Had you not picked
up the option, you would had the leverage of Okay,

I can negotiate with any team at any price whatever
I want, and you can still make that money, or
you can only you can backload the contract and make
you know, the second or third year a player option,
and ultimately when you retire, you can you know, you
can have them buy you out of it. You can.
There's there's all different sorts of ways in which they
can then buy you way out and stretch it or whatever,

so you're still getting paid. So there is part of
me that went to sleep last night thinking maybe this
is the old bait and switch, right, Like you say, oh,
you want to win, you want to win, you want
to win. The reality is, yeah, you do whatever, you
just you want. You want to win the narrative and
not win the real battle, or it's just completely contradictory.

If you want to win and want to win a championship,
you're not a fifty three million dollar player in this
salary cap with that team. Period. Stop this. Also, by
the way, one thing that should get put to bed
is please stop saying Lebron James is still a top
five top ten player. If he was a top five
top ten player and you have another top five player

on the team, then they should be everyone's favorite to
win a championship. They're not because Lebron's still very good
and for his age, he's incredible, but he's not a
top five, top ten player. Please stop saying it. Here's

Bonia Day, he says, I don't get that. It's kind

to that. Why is Bobby Bonia Day such a revered
day for people that follow sports?

I think it's the same reason that people we talk
about the Jets as much as we talk about the Jets.

within their own kind of realms should be talked about
that much they are. And yeah, I just think it's

one a guy's getting paid. Guy who we have the
people don't remember played baseball is still getting paid a
million dollars a year, but mostly he played for the
New York Mets, you know, and the Mets are still
paying him when reality is that had all of that
money that was deferred, had he taken it up front
and then just put it in the market, it'd be
worth more money today. But that's whatever. That's how we

New York guy, Jets fan. Those are the guys that
have kind of made it in Adam Shine, right, doesn't

up on a Lea Island. But Syracuse guy talks about
the Mets, the Jets, the Knicks, et cetera. Those guys

saying that the WNBA players, as part of their All
Star contribution, I guess players have a say and who
gets voted to be the All Star. Caitlin Clark was
voted by her peers as the ninth best guard in

jealousy that WNBA players voted Kitlin Clark the ninth best guard.
