(00:21):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Boom Up America, Doug
Gottlieb Show, Fox Sports Radio, coming to you from the
City of Angels, home of John Ramos. Is undefeated, undisputed
best team in the NFC, the l A Rams, who

(00:42):
got an absolute gift from Pete Carroll because Sean McVeigh
was gonna go all Jason Garrett late in that game.
More on that to come. Chargers beat the Raiders because
the Raiders suck. Whether they have more home fans than
the Charges in Carson, it doesn't matter. Chargers probably the
best three and two team in the league. But once again,

(01:03):
a missed extra point you start scratching your head. Miss kicks.
I can't recall more missed kicks. Make a bowl kicks.
Mason Crosby MSS not one, not too not three, not four,
five kicks four field goals and an extra point. What
then we got a lot to get to Major League
Baseball braves fight off the Dyer's because they can't feeld

(01:30):
an easy flyball with two outs and ends up sparking
a five run inning. So you get a little Kuna
Matata brand slam the Rockies already out of the playoffs,
Like what. And I still don't know why Major League
Baseball is choosing to play games on Sundays against the NFL,
because I'm guessing many of you are like, wait, they

(01:50):
had baseball games yesterday. Yeah, they did. That's okay, we'll
get to some baseball. Let's talk some football. There's a
bunch of expressions that I have earned and taken from
my colleagues, people I like, people I respect, all right. Um,
the one that Chris Carter gets credit for, which is,
by the way, accurate, is you got to have a

(02:11):
fall guy. Right. That was a good one. You got
to have a fall guy. But by by saying you
got to have a fall guy too, I believe it
was the Rookie Symposium back in the day, and that
ended up getting broadkay wasn't supposed to be broadcast. Was
actually on the NFL's website for like a year before
people like, oh, you can't say that. It's one of
those you can say the truth. You've just got to

(02:33):
be careful where into who you say the truth, which
is what I guess defenders of Odell Beckham Jr. Would
be saying. Now, what I will tell you is the
absolute positive truth. And him once again gonna take from
my good pal Chris Carter, who he can He can
walk it and he can talk it because he's lived it.

(02:54):
He nearly drank himself out of the NFL and that
had an incredible resurgence and became a Hall of Fame player.
Now he's a broadcaster. But I'll never forget this saying,
and it's about guys that get draft in the NFL
that have checks against them, marks against them. And he says,
this is a great pointing point. Money doesn't make you

(03:15):
something that money doesn't change you, makes it more of
who you are. And there is no more obvious person
to point that out than Odell Beckham Jr. Look, the
Giants offseason was a complete joke. It was a joke.
They had a chance to draft a quarterback with the

(03:37):
second pick in the draft, and as many will tell
you in history tells you they almost never draft in
the top five draft. And oh yeah, by the way,
Sam Donald, who many people, myself included believe was the
best quarterback prospect, felled to them at number two. Additionally,
they could have stuck a dagger in the heart of

(03:58):
the team that shares this stadium with them, the Jets,
who moved three first round picks, second round picks, and
traded first round picks to sit behind them at the
third pick. But an effort to protect Eli Manning because
they thought he still had gas in the tank. They
hired Pat Shermer, who's an offensive guru. They chose to

(04:22):
draft a running back instead of drafting your quarterback, and
they of course rightfully tried to fix their offensive line,
which was a disaster. And oh yeah, by the way,
they also decided to pay Odell Beckham Junr. Because hey,
who's better as a quarterback's best friend than a top
five wide receiving talent. But Odell Beckham Jr. Is not

(04:44):
smart enough to know what he apparently does not know,
which is dude. Everybody says they want the truth, and
they just don't. Because you can't talk about the places
that you work and you it's obviously he's not married
because what Odell Beckham Jr. Did And sitting down with
Josina Anderson and Little Wayne, he was like, why is
little Wayne here? That was weird. Do you want to

(05:08):
include your age in the interview? No? Do you want
to include your girlfriend the interview? No? Do you want
to include I don't know. You're appreciated if you know,
how about little Wayne? That sounds like a good idea
talk that would say that one to the mirror and
see how you react when you're here in the mirror.
I said this. When they gave him the new contract,

(05:28):
like three months of good behavior, they wanted to get
rid of him. They were tired of him. Between the
antics with the other team, between the antics with his
own team, between the people he was hanging out out with,
and the video of him with a woman and what
looked like cocaine. They were like, we're done. And he's like,

(05:52):
you know what, No, no, no, I'm better, I'm good now.
I'm not healthy, but I'll worked out on the side,
I'll act like I'm a leader. Then he sits down
four weeks into the season and chooses to what he
said essentially is telling your wife when she asks you,
do I look fat in these pants? You say, you

(06:12):
know what you do. You should go to the gym,
you should eat less carbs, you should drink more water
because you look overweight. Honey. He didn't just call out
Eli Manning. Go back in. Listen to the interview. He
talks about the energy that they need and that they

(06:34):
need heart. What he's saying is we don't play hard,
we don't practice hard. Our team has no heart, no courage.
He said, who he said, and then he and then
he said, our two times Super Bowl champion quarterback stinks
and our new coach doesn't get me the ball, isn't

(06:57):
scheming to get me the football. The craziest part about
his spat with honesty right, It was almost as if
remember eighties movies where they would invest, they would they
would get a guy, they would see question in the room.
They shine some white light on him and the guy
would start sweating and all of a sudden, like the

(07:18):
white light would make him tell the truth. Remember that
like spy movies. Now they inject you with something you
just can't tell a lie. Was he was asked whether
he was proud of their record, and he said yes,
So he lied about whether he's practiced. Nobody's proud of
being one in three one three time. Now they're one

(07:38):
in four after Graham Gono makes a fifty million yard
field goal to beat them. So he lies about being
proud of the record, but then tells the utter truth
from his perspective about all that's wrong in the Giants organization. Huh,

(07:58):
say what? But that's because Odell Beckham Jr. Isn't a
different guy since he got paid. Because money doesn't change you,
it just makes you more of who you are. Oh,
that guy's a dB since since winning the lottery. Now
he was a dB before he won the lottery. Now

(08:19):
it's just a lot more obvious. That's what took place.
And anyone defending him has not only never played on
a in team sports, but they probably haven't worked in
the corporation. Right. All we do is we want athletes

(08:39):
to be honest. Okay, not to the detriment of others
who you work with, who you need in order to
help you succeed. Imagine that, and this is not the truth,
but imagine if somebody said, hey, godlib you worked, what
is it like to work at Fox? Oh, you know,
it's it's great. You know, John Ramos pesses the wrong

(09:03):
button like three times an hour. Ryan Music. He's constantly
worried about where he's getting married in like three years.
Dan Buyer, he's on Twitter instead of updated like might
like again, these things aren't the truth. But if they
were the truth, imagine how that would go over, Like, Oh,
finally some honesty. Yeah. Those are the people you work with.

(09:27):
Those are the people who make you look better. Those
are the people who are going to help you. I mean,
you couldn't do that at home. My wife allows it, cooks.
She's not a particularly good wife, and she's usually too
tired when I come to bed. Oh but I'm super

(09:47):
happy being married. That's what he That's what he did me.
I'm great. I've never been better, best shaped my life,
you know, I'm a good provider. That's what Odell Beckham Jr. Did,
head committed, and that's why his head coach is furious
with him. Curious And if you want to base his

(10:12):
success based upon his productivity, which he was productive yesterday
against the Panthers, fine, but the harm he has done
has been irreparable to the Giants, irreparable because the Giants

(10:33):
did what I told him not to do, which is
pay a guy after three months of good behavior. He
hadn't cheated on me in three months. Okay, well, by
all means get married. Then that's that's what the Giants did.
The Charges went out and handled the Raiders over the weekend.

(10:55):
What was the environment like? We'll ask the guy who
made the game breaking play, just a little screen pass
on a fumble step. Arguably the best backup running back

It's funny we have a tendency to pay attention to
some games and not pay attention to others. I was

(12:42):
watching a bunch of Raiders Chargers, which is kind of
the true Battle for l A along with rams Seahawks
want to get to that one. Uh, but you know
a lot, there's a lot about the Raiders taking over
um the Stubbhub Center, which is in Carson, which is
kind of the home of Raider fandom, and that appeared accurate.

(13:03):
A matter of fact, the Chargers really struggled early on
the game opening drive score three points, but then they
were struggling to get things going. That's when they found
our next guest on a kind of a botched play,
and he took it forty yards to the house, broke
the game open and changed. The final score is twenty
six to ten, but the Raiders scored a touchdown when

(13:24):
they weren't set offensively. The Chargers missed an extra point um,
and so it was a lot bigger whooping than to ten.
Austin Neckler joins us in the Doug Gotlip Show on
Fox Sports Radio. What has this been like to play
home games in the NFL but to not have uh,
an overwhelming support of the fans. Yeah, first off, from

(13:47):
having they but uh, the support, you know, it's uh,
it's been as far as you know, fanspot it's not.
H's kind of who's kind of talked about it the
other day that what you've mentioned, we're kind of in
the heart of you know, Raiders fans, and so we
knew the best thing probably all black like it was,

(14:09):
and so you know it's just time for the Key
to come together even more. And then you know, because
they're playing by teammates, enough of your fans haven't got
enough fans. You know, it's it's funny because what I've
been told is that, look, look, this year's second year.
You've seen this before. It wasn't as bad last year
because the Raiders were, you know, in last place by
the time you guys got them at home and beat them.

(14:29):
But then a lot of the a lot of the
new guys, especially against the Niners, they ran out and
they were like wait, what, Like it was the new
guys that had to make the adjustment. What do you
tell them? He's gonna let him know how it's gonna be.
And you know, that's just the reality of you know,
where we're gonna be dealing with and so come out. Hey,
like you said, we're playing for each other. You're saying

(14:50):
sans yeah, especially for you know a guy like during
you know, he's a for say they got all the
chance and everything. He's coming out really have. Yeah, you
stadium full of ball fans, you know, so it's it's
an adjustment for definitely all the new guys and for
us in general. You march down the field and you
get a field goal, you start kind of feeling good,
your defense gets gets to stop, you get it back

(15:13):
and you punt. You punt the next I think it
was three possessions and then Philip gets the ball snapped
him and he drops it and then he picks it
up and there's a rush come from left hand side.
You're just out there. It's a screen pass. Was it
was that what you were supposed to be or did
you just kind of make it up on the fly. No, Yeah,
I was supposed to be out there and there was
a hot hot pass right now. It's a hot route,

(15:36):
so he's supposed to get it out light away, but
like you said, he bombed it and ended up taking
a little longer and it was a little closer than
he said. Then you know, ended up working out. It's
first in town from the Oakland forty four. You catch
the ball and for people who haven't seen it, you
make one cut to your right and you've got a
couple of linemen clearing the way. Plus two raiders run
into each other. Like as soon as you cut to
the right, did you see the house? Did you know

(15:57):
that this this thing all of a sudden's gonna open up?
You know, I catch it? Yeah, Like I said, you know,
they ran into each other. It's probably been keener now
and actually had a nice block down the two Just
get that touchdown Buck and then past then there was
just green grass. Has Antonio Gates told you, guys, you're
all crazy for going to training camp? Right? He he
didn't go to camp. He comes out, he's still catching football.

(16:17):
He's probably gonna be looking at you like, what were
you guys doing for that month and a half? Uh?
A little things? You know he could do that, you know,
I'm telling you guys were time to developers. So a
little different atmosphere. Austin Neckler joining us in the Doug
Gotlips show on Fox Sport Trading. You're a guy that
they split out wide? Um they even I saw the play.

(16:37):
Where was Melvin scored on a touchdown? Or no? Was
the first down he lined up his fullback? When was
the last time the Melvin Gordon does Has he lined
up at fullback? Ever? Before. I don't think he's ever
done that in the game. No, no, So that was
really a little different package. Give a defense a little
different look. Yeah, for for people to see they were
they were going forward on. I'm gonna say it was
fourth in short and you guys give me either called

(16:59):
time out or come out, and you were back at
running back. Melvine's at fullback. It was just a quick
handoff to Melvin. He got the first. A matter of fact,
the CBS announcer said, that's probably the first time Melvin
Gordon's ever lined up at fullback. Sers some creativity with
how you guys are being used, have you have you
hit the potential for it? Because you guys have an
incredible group in terms of the weaponry, and obviously not

(17:19):
having Hunter has changed kind of this group. Um, but
seeing all the different places they've lined you up, have
you guys yet to hit your peak level of production offensively?
You know, I think we're going to keep ending up
every leave, you know, so we can't get scheme, and
so I think the level of production is gonna keep
going up because we're gonna keep changing and that we're
gonna give defensive bunch of different looks and I think

(17:40):
he's gonna have a lot of success with it. Um
you okay with giving away carries to Melvin Ingram. I
don't know about that. I would looking back like, I
don't know. Yeah, so I so, I know. It's like, look,
you've got two really good running backs back there, and
then they bring in your you know, your defensive end
in to try and score touchdown. I'm sure fantasalers weren't

(18:02):
very happy about that one, you know, like I said
some once I went back, Hey, we worked out in practice.
I thought it was gonna be a good player. Just
in then I'm working that one. Austin Neckler joining us
in the Doug Gottlips Show on Fox Sports Radio. How
did this happen for you? How? How did you go
from a guy who, you know, most of America hadn't

(18:23):
heard of in college too, you know, now almost like
a household name in the league. Right Like Western State
in Colorado? Where is Western State in Colorado? High it's
a little mountain town up in the Rocky Mountain, about
five thousand people at the time, about people in the school.
When did when did you know you were going to
stick in the league? Um? Shoot, I'd say about mid

(18:47):
way through the first season as when physically I so
like I could play at this level, and you know,
I didn't know how much success I would have or
anything like that. But that's kind of the factor when
you come into the league you're not sure physically, especially
in my my situation, come from a smaller school and say, okay,
that's that's the biggest things physically playing this week. About

(19:09):
halfway through his lines like, yeah, I could physically do this,
and then since then I've been able to make some
place here and then you know, I'm not looking back.
You're from Eating Colorado, right, how you how you pronounce it? Yeah? Okay,
So what's in eating? Is a tiny towns like five
thousand people, a lesson five thousand people? What's what's it like?
Where's the place where everybody goes to hang on? A
little a little farm town, you know, big on the

(19:30):
high school sports. We had always had a great support
from the from the local town. But that's just one
of those times where everyone knows everyone and you know,
kind of my group that I grew up with, we
played all the sports together, so we're really close from
the tight now that helps us all out actually one
of my tight ends is a long stamper for the
Raiders that we played together and gatually together, and so

(19:53):
that was pretty cool to you know, see him on
the field yesterday. That's pretty amazing. Two guys from a
town of town of people that that made it to
the NFL. So you didn't You still tell me like
is there a main street in town? And is there
one place where you guys have pizza burgers? Like what
one can my wife? My wife? My wife from a
one stoplight town? Is it a sonic? Is there what

(20:14):
a burger? What's the what's the what's the joint where
you go? I think they have McDonald's and a taco bell,
But then they have all like the mom and pop shops,
you know, a little stores for no apparel things like that,
and then like little restaurants here and there. It's actually
they put a hotel in there. It's a long ago
a highway and so like one of those towns, like

(20:35):
she's driving along the highway and looking around like who
would be there? Like one of those now is there
is there a sign up for you yet? Did they
go this? Eating? Eating at in Colorado? Home of Bust
Neckler took it, took took a ball forty four yards
to the house against the Raiders. Probably that because we
have I don't know if you know mission right. You
know he's playing I think out in Tampa he's been

(20:59):
playing it for like eight or nine years. You have
had a couple of signs up, Uh. I remember when
I went back one time, he had to sign up.
He had doing some business in the town something like that.
So I don't know if I got one yet. Not
not yet. Well, well, there's there's still plenty plenty of time. Look,
you guys are three and two. The two losses against
two undefeated teams, the you know, the Chiefs and the Rams.

(21:21):
Now you get a chance against Browns team. Uh, that's
one a game that they're two and two. What what's
got to change with this team to get you to
where you beat the good teams? I think it's our consistency.
You know, that's that's the thing you hear out throughout
the entire league. But it's it's true thing. Whoever can
be more consistent on that day, it's probably gonna win
the game. And you know, we have, like you talked

(21:43):
about earlier, we have the tools to you know to
be an explosive offense and things of that nature. And
so it's just gonna come down to all be making
the plays on that day. Hey, continued health and success.
They've traveled to Cleveland. Thanks for joining us, and we'll
give a big shout out to everybody eating Colorado. Hey,
I appreciate it. Man, you ever go on? All right,
it's Austin Eckler joining us in the Doug Gotlip Show
on Fox Sports Trade. If you haven't seen him play, okay,

(22:04):
he's um. He's not built like some of those smaller
running backs Jakin Grant who is more of a wide
receiver or um. We have Tyreek Cohen we had on
last week from uh from the Chicago Bears. Right, he's
not as slightly built as those guys, are, not as
small like he's legit five ten, but he has the

(22:25):
same type of speed and versatility where they can light
them out. Why they could put in the same backfield. Um,
they can do. They can put him in motion. They
do a whole bunch of different things with him, and
he's a phenomenal, phenomenal talent. Man. Did they handle business
against against the Raiders. Let's get you to Dan buyer,
find out what else is going on? We got day
baseball in the American League. I see Dallas Kiko still

(22:50):
on the hills. That must mean he's still pitching relatively well.
I can't see the score. What is it right now,
Dan Doug Right now? The score is one to one.
Indians sigle one nothing lead to the third, ending on
a sacrifice fly from Michael Brantley, but the Astros even
it up on a George Springer solo home run of
the fifth. Tided up at one a piece, bottom of
five in Game three of their American League Divisional series.

(23:10):
Astros and Indians Houston up two oh and the best

also daytime hockey dub Yes Canadian Thanksgiving today, Yes, Canadian Thanksgiving.

(23:37):
So we've got daytime hockey in Boston. Yeah, go figure
Bruin's doubling up the Senators right now four to three
of the third, while the Islanders blanking the Sharks three
nothing in the third. Just underway are the Kings and Sabers.

back Lamar Miller to play against the Bills. He was
active last night Doug against the Dallas Cowboys, but didn't play.

(24:19):
Alfred Blue got the carries for Houston in that nineteen
time when you're my boy Blue? How many times? How
many times do you think he hears that one? Alfred?
Quite yeah, yeah, quite a bit by hourly um at
least at least once a day, at least once a
once a practice, and then about probably fifteen thousand times

(24:40):
last night from the crowd. Thanks d Empire. Actually I
do have a question Dan. I know you have you
for people don't know. Dan is very busy. He also
does updates for locals as well. Um, did you watch
the Kabib fight against Connor mcgrant. Noo, ramos, did you
watch any of it? Not live? I saw a couple
highlights here and there. Okay, well about music, did you

(25:02):
watch It's more? And you're kind of demo? Right, you
didn't want you guys didn't watch it at all. Here,
I just give him my quick takeaway. Okay, so we
kind of set it up for you. Friday as Connors
a striker, like a stand up striker and a counterpuncher.
Whereas a baby, he'll take you to the ground like
he is a grappler, like bye bye. You know, basically

(25:24):
by birth his dad was and that's how he's And
there's actually video of him wrestling a bear as a kid.
That's a bear cub, but it's still a bear. I
thought it was awesome, although I thought it was awesome. Um,
but then everyone, all anyone's talking about is the brawl afterwards. Right,

(25:48):
This is the power of the image of a guy
going into the stands and people from the stands, coming
out of the stands and climbing over a cage. And
by the way, the whole idea of a cage to
keep people out or to keep people in that cage,
there's been no bigger, better sale for not building a wall.

(26:09):
Then what just happened at UFC right, doesn't keep people out,
doesn't keep people in, doesn't work. But um, I understand
that people don't like the grappling style, true wrestling style,
get a guy to the ground, make him tap out style.
It can be. It's hard. It doesn't translate well on TV.

(26:29):
It's one of the reasons that wrestling, which is one
of the original five core sports of Olympics, why it
struggles beyond TV. It's an amazing sport. You ever had
a kid? Might son did it for a year? I
want to put them back in it. You ever had
a kid do it? Like? Man, that's the It's an
incredible sport. Incredible but um, but it's it's hard to televise.

(26:52):
It's hard to watch because you can't see or understand
some of the moves or some of the counterattacks and
all the stuff going on, like he checks every other box.
Though for a guy who should be a villain, right,
Like he's Muslim, he's Russian. Now he fights a style
nobody likes and he'll go into the stands. But I

(27:16):
put the blame for that one on Dana White and
Oncono McGregor. Right like this, you talk about a dude enough,
his religion, his family, his country, Like you can tell
in boxing guys are all in on it right just

(27:37):
the way to bring attention to the fight. You get
a hardcore Russian dude whose dad was a grappler and
he's been trained like since birth to be this dude,
be this guy. They're not wired like normal human is.
Like ha, they can't laugh it off. That's why he
went into the stands. And you may think that looks cool, like, oh,

(28:02):
that's that's awesome. No, not awesome. Imagine some multimillionaire billionaire
sitting up close and their wife, you know, tears an
achilles tendon or you know, gets get people fall into her,
or somebody gets even worse dies. Not funny then not funny,

(28:30):
But that's you know, Dana, let Connor do all this talking.
You know, show up late for a press conference where
Habib leaves like he's not in on all that he's
a fighter. He is he is like like A, like, look,
I'm an anti pit bull guy, not because I have
any negative feelings about dogs, but some pit bulls have
been trained through the years to fight. Is there natural

(28:53):
innate instinct they can't help themselves. And that's what he is.
He's basically a human pit bull. You hear him talk afterwards,
I mean sorry, he's apologetic, like but you know, I
just I couldn't take it, which is honestly what the

(29:14):
NFL is trying to prevent. And you're like, wait, people
don't go in the stands yet in the NFL. No, no no, no,
that's not what I'm saying. Look, they're already on pay tv.
ESPN has paid for UFC's rights, and I'm sure right
now they're throwing up in their mouth over the idea,
Like I like that. What was the guy named Lewis
who did the interview where he talked about his balls

(29:35):
being hot? It was just the funniest interview I've ever postpded,
I've ever seen. But like, that's not for over the
air television. It's just not that's not what sponsors want
to be around. They don't and you can be counterculture,
Like counterculture does work, but not when you're tied to Disney.

(29:57):
That's not Disney, Disney's brand and UFC's brand, and clashing
like that didn't That didn't work. It's what the NFL
has tried to tell you with the kneeling at the
national anthem, like, it's not our brand. Political descent doesn't work.
It's not where we're popular. You know your audience, And

(30:19):
oh yeah, also has to do with why the NFL
there's been some ridiculous penaltis. I don't know if you
guys watched the Giants Carolina Panthers game. The Panthers were
helped and I think the third core Giants get a
big stop and one of the wide receivers kind of
fell down. Three Giants converge on a ball, but nobody

(30:39):
blows up. The wide receiver wasn't blowing up at all,
and there's a flag for hitting the defensive player. It
was an awful call. And as much as I'm sitting
there saying that's a terrible call, that changed the trajectory
of that game as it goes down to the wire
and Graham Gono kicks a fifty seven yard field gol
to win, it change the directory because the the drive

(31:00):
would have been over. Instead, the Carolina Panthers end up
scoring a touchdown like three plays later. But what the
NFL is trying to do is what if Ryan Shazier
had died last year on the field, or Antonio Brown
a couple of years ago in the playoffs when he
got clipped by Vante's perfect Remember that play perfect. I

(31:22):
don't know if he got him or if he tried
to get him. But when Antonio Brown comes across the
middle and his defense was you hit a guy. These
guys are so big, so strong, so fast. We've already
seen what happened to Ryan Shay's here. What happens if
something worse happened. I can't put that on television, And
it's forever going to stunt your brand. I'll give you

(31:43):
the best example of it. They've never been a sponsor,
and I have no problem with their food. Okay, Jack
in the Box. Do you guys remember with Jack in
the Box when they had the Seminela thing. This was
back like in the nineties, Like, dude, I used to
hit Jack in the box at least once a week,
if not twice a week. They had Seminela poisoning or

(32:03):
E coli or something, and people got really really sick
and I don't know, something dying, but it was. It
was bad and they've never really recovered from it. Once
you get that image, it's really hard to recover from it.
Chipotle has done it. Chipotle had people have from the

(32:24):
from the pull pork, right, they got sick from the
pull pork. And as powerful brand as Chipotle is, they've
even struggled to come back from that type of bad
brand imaging. So well. So I'm like anyone else where,
I sit there and go like, look, I don't care.
I just want to go get a brito or Brito bowl.
And I like seeing players hit each other in football,

(32:49):
watching Habib go into the crowd, thinking, holy cow, somebody
might be really hurt or somebody could die, like he
didn't even mean to, but he's a trained weapon. That's
the NFL is trying to prevent some sort of catastrophic
injury from one of their own players. Forget about the
fans lost. Nichola was brought to you by Discover Card.

seen him for five games so far this season, come
back after not playing that long, and let's not act
like he's playing with Julio Jones and Jerry Right. I mean,
who who already fall football? I feel its closely as anyway,
I don't know any of those guys that Erky brawny
playing with. I live in the Bay Areas. People complain

(33:59):
all the time about the Niners lack of weapons. I
mean Andrew Luck would guy for Pierre Garson or George
Kittle to play with. I worked with Ryan Grigson. I mean,
let's call what it is. He's one of the worst
GM in the history of pro sports. Was the run
he had you takeaway Luck? It was handed. I mean
that was the number one overall pick. I mean that
guy Andrew Luck at the worst King Football to three

(34:21):
straight playoff seasons. One year his head coach got sick
and obviously Bruce arians turned out to be an excellent
play called. But then Bruce left and the next two
years one playoff. Getting on the road. And think about
this in a league that it's never been easier to
find running back, you know, mid round guys. The Colts consistently,
I mean they can't find just a solid starter to

(34:43):
save their lighter. If you missed anything from the Doug

CE Equal Housing Lender buyer got the game today, Doug
is big deal, little deal, no deal. We had a

(35:51):
lot of flavors on this spice rack of big deal,
little dettle, or no deal, just because it was a
huge weekend and pretty much everything. So let's start out
with the baseball season. Big deal, little deal or no
deal that the Red Sox may use. Picture David Price
out of the bullpen this series against the Yankees. Of course,
he was pulled after just forty two pitchers in Game
two's loss on Saturday night. Oh that's a big deal,

(36:13):
that's a big deal. Well, well, look, he was at
his best in the playoffs when he was out of
the bullpen with the Tampa Bay Rays. Coming straight into college,
but considering the level of investment and the upcoming like,
I don't know if you know how his contract works,
but I think he got four years left at over
thirty million dollars per year, and every year there's a
player option. Every year he's so they're just like begging

(36:39):
him to opt out, which he's not gonna do because
he won't get that kind of money elsewhere. It's yeah,
it's that is that is a big deal. And the
the the playoffs now and the Yankees, now, those are
all real things for David Price. Uh, Yankees and Red Sox,
by the way, seven forty Eastern top tonight in their
Game three, it should be great. And remember, like it's
easy to forget, these are five game series. So while

(37:02):
you sit there and go like, oh, the Yankees won
one at Fenway, what's the big deal? The Yankees are
almost unbeatable at home. Look at their home record in
the playoffs, Like the last five times they've been there,
I'm not sure they lost maybe one home game. It's crazy. So, uh,
they're a different team at home in the stadium. And now,
when you got issues with a guy making that much

(37:23):
money and clearly not happy you, you've got some huge
things to get to. Big deal, little deal or no deal.
That for the first time in NFL history of the
Super Bowl era, rookie starting quarterbacks went four and oh
in the same week. Is that a big deal, little
deal or no deal. I think it's an exceptionally big deal,
especially like the Buffalo Bills. We left them for dead,

(37:45):
left them for dead. Oh, they didn't want to go
to him as a quarterback, and all of a sudden,
like Josh Allen. Now he's got two wins on the year,
one over the Vikings in Minnesota. The element of the Titans,
who had kind of been one of the surprises this
year at home so Cleveland, you thought they had a
good enough roster that and they've been closed before. That's

(38:06):
not crazy super you know, Arizona, we did think this
was their best week because San Francisco is so banged up.
In San Francisco's not that good to begin with. Um,
and then who am I think you know, who's the
other one in miss oh? And then the Jets at home.
I picked the Jets at home against Denver, who I
think are complete phonies. Um. You know, look, and this
is why Lamar Jackson he's not of that elk. He

(38:28):
should not have been a first round draft pick. I
feel like that's a way to pick for the Ravens.
Big deal, little dealer, no deal, that the NFL will
stop the Nuts game in New Orleans if and when
Drew Brees breaks Peyton Manning's career passing yardage record. So
it's it's it's a big deal now. One he brack
passed paid Manning. Two it's in New Orleans, Peyton's hometown. Um,

(38:50):
so I think it's a big thing. There's gonna be
a video tribute from Peyton as well. They said that
is he gonna be hawking pizzas at the same time,
I think that that ship is sailed, maybe in insurance.
Maybe that's where he's gonna go. But Breeze and Brad
Paisley are gonna come down, Yeah, with their band that
they've got. They're in a band. Now. I do chuckle

(39:10):
at those I some of them. But if they're in
a no huddle sort of situation, like if it's near
the end of the half, they won't stop the game.
But if it's a normal play, they will have all
the pomp and circumstance. Big deal, little deal or no deal.
That Mike Stoops was fired as Oklahoma's defensive coordinator after
Saturdays lost to Texas, that's a big deal. That that's

(39:30):
a huge deal. Did you know Oklahoma had given up
twenty one scores field Gore touchdown on twenty one chances
in the Red they literally literally the red sieve defense.
So and he's replaced by Bob Diaco, of course, former
head coach at yukon Um, you know, assistant coach at

(39:51):
Notre Dame in a couple of other places. But to
have no Stoops in the program. You know, there's more
Gundes coaching in Oklahoma and there are stoops a coaching.
Kale Gundy and is still an assistant. That's Mike's brother
played Kale played quarterback at Ou still on the staff.
Big deal, little deal or no deal. That the Spurs
have lost point guard Deja Murray for the season because
of a torn a c l oh, that's a big deal.

(40:12):
John D. Murray and all defensive team guy who last
year kind of as a surprise won the starting job.
Tony Parker looked washed. And of course Tony Parker's now
in Charlotte. That that's a big deal for his Spurs
team that had their sights on being better than last
year because last year they were without Kauai Leonard and
they had added to Mardiros in the trade. I think
this dramatically changed how you look at the West. And finally,

(40:35):
Doug big deal, little deal or no deal that the
Sun's Today fired general manager Ryan McDonough a little over
a week before the season starts. It's not surprising. It's
a it's a big deal. It's not surprising they fired
Ryan McDonald. That's a little deal or no deal. It's
that they fired him like a week before the season
was going to begin. That one's a stunner. This is

(40:57):
game time on the Doug God Leave show. That organization
mess right now. I will say this everybody talks about,
you know, Robert Sarver is a meddling owner. We use
the word meddling like like like on Scooby Doo with it.
I would have got away with it, went those meddling kids.
And I don't think Sarver knows anything about what he's doing.

(41:18):
Like Sarver is the one that pushed Steve Kerr when
he was the gentle menator to trade for Shaquille O'Neil,
which ultimately ruined their team that could have won a
championship if not for that one game suspension of Mari
Sttemyer and Boris Dau the year before. But if I
own a billion dollar franchise and I want to do
something about it, I do something about it right right

(41:41):
Like you you like, you don't have to let somebody
else run your ship if you don't want to. And
if I was owning an NBA team, I would be
making some basketball decisions. Letting somebody else make all the
basketball decisions kind of feels like letting somebody else sleep
with your wife. What it feels like to be I

(42:02):
told you for the season, the Eagles weren't ready to
play as champs. It's played out as such. That's next.
Be sure to catch live editions of The Doug god
Leap Show week days at noon Eastern three pm Pacific.
What Up, Doug god Leap Show, Fox Sports Radio? Do
Do Do? Do? Do Do? Coming to you from the
City of Angels. Hope you had a great, great weekend.

(42:25):
Mm hmmm. I tell people all the time that we
like to use parallels for other people's lives in our lives,
but you just can't. You like to use parallels from
one year to the next, but you just can't remember
when the Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl. And we

(42:47):
talked a little bit about this with the Cubs last week,
where when the Cubs won a World Series, people said,
man dynasty into making, wouldn't be surprised if two red
for the next five years the Cubs go to and
win a World Series And it just doesn't seem to
work out that way. Why is that? Why have we

(43:10):
not had a team repeated Super Bowl champions except for
like once in the last twenty years. Why is that? Now?
The quote is not actually what we used, as you
guys know, the quote of Shakespeare heavy is the head
that wears the crown. Okay, that's actually not the quote,

(43:36):
but we've translated into that. Yeah, it's heavy lies the crown.
Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. But it's
so much easier to say heavy is the head that
wears the crown because we know what it means. Shakespeare
also said what's in a name? But the idea that

(43:59):
the philed Elfie Eagles as soon as they got Carson
Wentz back, would maintain the level of focus and really
dominance as they had last year before he got hurt,
and even the Super Bowl they were able to win
when he got hurt. He's completely obtuse to the reality
of sport, the reality of life. Yes, they had players

(44:23):
injured whom they have mostly gotten back from injury this year.
And yes, they still on paper have a dynamic front
seven defensively, and they have some good pieces offensively. And
Carson Wentz went right should have won the m v
P last year, but he's only in his third year
and he's coming off of knee surgery. They did employ

(44:47):
Joe j g I, who the Dolphins jettison mid season,
and they got the best of j g I. Why,
he was trying to prove the entire league wrong. They
had a whole team full of people that was trying
to prove everybody wrong. They're playing that underdog card. That
underdog card is great when you're actually the underdog. Now
you're the favorite, and it's different. You don't sneak up

(45:10):
on anybody. You don't have anything more to prove. You
may say I got something to prove, but you really
don't already proved it. They won a Super Bowl with
one arm tied behind their back. Nick Foles is their quarterback, right,
what is the Bowl? So? And they beat the Patriots.

(45:31):
However you want to look at that Patriots team not playing.
Malcolm Butler and Brandon Cooks got hurt in the first quarter,
didn't play. That doesn't matter. They beat the mighty Patriots
in the super Bowl without their starting quarterback. What will
they do when they have their quarterback back? The answer
is lose it home to the Vikings, a Vikings team
that is massively depleted by injuries. This is the shell

(45:53):
of the Like and the Vikings. Dan barely missed two
kicks before you hit the game winner. It wasn't like
Dan Bailey was like fifty four forty two. Like damn
they lost to a like Look you Tipper Caps. Sometimes
you lose to a guy who got a hot kicker.
They couple completely public. No Vikings won the game. Vikings
beat them. Vikings beat their ass. Do you know why?
Because they are everybody's biggest game. It doesn't mean that

(46:19):
you didn't get up for Eagles games or to play
the link and play in Philadelphia in the past. But
you gotta admit is different now, right? Who called the game?
Do you don't call the game? Were the broadcasters for
the game? Monte? I guess go ahead? Right? Music? Was

(46:39):
it bucking Aman? I believe it was Joe buck and
Troy Aikman. Do you know why, because the number one
team goes the number one game. The number one game
doesn't usually involve UH Minnesota and Philadelphia. It just doesn't.
It doesn't unless the Philadelphi Eagles are the defending Super
Bowl champions and now out there the number one get

(47:01):
they get, They get Bucket, Eggman and Aaron Andrews. They
get the first team. They also got the vikings. They
got everybody's attention, because the last thing you want is
to not only get beaten, but get beaten when everybody
is paying attention, and by the defending Super Bowl champions
who want to run their mouths a little bit. We
don't want that. Oh yeah, by the way, last time

(47:22):
we came in here, we lost the NFC Championship game
with kase Keenum. You you make you can act. Unless
we're the same, we get the same level, and that's fine.
The rest of the league does not view you the same.
You are not the underdog, and it is the hunt
hunted is different than the hunter. It is completely different

(47:47):
in terms of your level. You go to you go
to Vegas, right, and if you're the one guy who's
smart enough to get up, get a league, get up
five hundred bucks and then take four hundred off the table,
put in your pocket and go like or give it
to somebody, walk away. You're not and you're just playing
with house money. You're not gonna plays tight with that
house money. Not But when you play with your own money,

(48:09):
when your rents on the line, you are tight. You
are nervous. Your attention to every car being flipped over,
every every different tell at a table, your chip count slow,
You're paying attention to everything. I'd love to say that
the best of the best they win, and they just
keep that level of focus, Like there's a reason that
the Patriots move on from guys and they keep getting

(48:30):
guys you've never heard of. Might have Buddy asked me
that Yesterday's Like, how the hell Patriots get Chris Hogan,
Like Julian Edelman was like a quarterback, Chris Hogan was up,
was a lacrosse player. How then they get those guys
to do it? Like, because those dudes wanted more than
the other guys have been told they're great the whole life.

(48:52):
Duh right, hungry dogs. The Marshall Lynch said, Remember Marshall
Lynch when you want to speak to the media, and
Dion Sanders cornered him in New York before they're getting
ready to getting ready to play the Denver Broncos. You know,
we got some dogs in here. He had a bunch
of guys that were second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth round undrafted,

(49:13):
guys that have been told no at many times in
their life. You know, how as you win a super
Bowl because you know, hey, let me get that check
for you. Guys want a super Bowl? Hey, thanks right,
No, no no, no, you guys are good. Your money is
not good here. You want a super Bowl. It makes
you a little bit softer. It makes everybody a little
bit envious of you, and it completely changes the mentality

(49:38):
of your approach and their approach. Hey, fellas played the
Eagles this week in Philadelphia, a little extra important game, right,
It's one thing to get a win. So I think
to win to beat the Super Bowl champions that we're
talking that talk after they wanted last year last year
they go four and fourth down last year to run
trick plays. You know, last year we're getting dressed up

(50:03):
in costumes afterwards. You know, we're land Lance uh Lane
Johnson Uh, the Patriots, they don't have fun. We know
how to have fun. You know. The Patriots know how
to do They know how to handle success. And the
Patriots went through ten years where they didn't win a
Super Bowl, so they know how to handle failure. Too

(50:26):
comes a little bit too fast, a little bit too soon.
It doesn't mean that the Eagles are gonna be one
hit wonders. By the way, a one hit wonder is
not actually a bad thing. I watched one hit one
or the environment, right, said Fred? Right said Fred, weren't
they I'm too sexy? That was I'm too sexy? Right?

(50:48):
There was Who's saying mombo number five? Mombo number five?
That guy was in a commercial Louis Vega Vega right,
think had that one hit? Now listen, that one hit
is better than any that we have. No one else
on earth has anything like that. But you can't do
a stadium tour when you got one hit, right, You

(51:10):
just can't. You can't be the head You can be
an opening act for somebody, usually a county fairs and
state fairs, but you can't. You can't be the headliner
with one hit. And it's not easy. But if you
thought the Philadelphi Eagles were gonna be the exact same team.
And I will grant you injuries. Really to all Sean

(51:30):
that was a big thing. Carson Wentz coming off in
a c L you're not the same right away. It
takes you, takes you six seven games, maybe even a
year before you're actually back. But that offensive line is
not good, not blocking people, and if you can and
if you can uh handle their pass rush, their defensive

(51:51):
backfields not good. But more than anything, it's just a
different world when you're wearing that crowd, when you're walking
in and you what everybody else wants. They're coming at
you a little bit harder, they're preparing a little bit more,
and it matters at a different, a little bit higher
level than it matters to them. And Connor McGregor was

(52:16):
so big that he had he had to leave the
octagon and then go fight in a fight where literally
he couldn't lose. I just if you didn't listen to
the show after the Floyd fight, I mean, he couldn't win.
Excuse me, but he couldn't lose, couldn't win the fight,
but he didn't actually lose, right, All he had to

(52:36):
do was lace up some gloves and look decent, and
he would he won even though he lost. And the
fact is Connor McGregor had zero shot. You actually go
back and watch play. Mayweather didn't throw. He was threw
four punches the first round because the only way that
Floyd Mayweather was was not was walking out of that ring.
He wouldn't walk down the ring with a loss. He

(52:58):
would have had been carried out to be knocked out
from one punch right a left hander and a god,
it's a wild counterpuncher. And so what did he do.
He made Connor into the aggressor, which is not counter style,
and he threw away his energy. He had nothing left,
even said so afterwards. But the fact is that we
all like Connor McGregor. Wasn't that terrible. It had been

(53:21):
like a decade since Floyd Mayweather had t k od
or knocked anybody out. That's actually how bad Connor McGregor was.
But Connor was so big he almost had to leave
the octagon. There was nobody who could match him in
terms of his personality. But now he comes back in
and he's doing his walk and he's pitching his whiskey
and he's all about all these other things, and he

(53:44):
he he forgets that he's lost that hunter mentality. He's
the hunt dead. And what happened against the babe Babe
was it was in better shape, It was much more focused.
Got him down on the ground. Once he gets you
down the ground, it's over over. However you use the

(54:09):
famous Shakespearean line, the americanization of it, heady is the
head that wears the crown. Couldn't be more accurate than
watching the philadelph Egles play and struggle so far in
this season, Trent deal for one of Super Bowl. Ask
him what it's like to get everyone's best game, plus
what's up with Aaron Rodgers. He goes from calling out
the coaching staff, calling out himself and losing a couple
of fumbles and playing terribly getting down twenty four to nothing.

(54:32):

Indians making some infield errors, if you will, some soft

(55:13):
contact stuff as the Astros take a four to two
lead series over the Astros winned I correct? Is that accurate? Mhm?
And it appears that this series is uh is on
the brink of being over as the Astros are gonna
add not add run there short pop fly there two

(55:34):
outs now bottom assuming top seven Astros with a four
to to lead best of five series, the Astros are
up two games to none in the series. Is game
being played in Cleveland? Let's get to trend Dilfer, who's
a Super Bowl champion, frequent contributor to the show. He
joins us in the Doug Gottlip Show on Fox Sports Radio.

(55:55):
We're just talking about Philadelphia, the Eagles, and how um
it's differently need the Super Bowl, apiens, and how people
prepare for you differently. And you may not think you're
preparing differently, but you are in fact. How much does
it change when you win the big game. Yeah, I
think that's a big part of the DOUG. I do
think you know, you have a giant target on your
chest each week, people have studied you all off season. Um,

(56:19):
there's an extra level of preparation. But I also think
you know that those Eagles players and coaches had a
very different experience this offseason. They had access to more stuff,
they had more distractions, people pouring perfume on them everywhere
they went, and just human nature as you're gonna start
believing it, and you're gonna start believing that you're gonna
come back the next season, and it's just gonna happen

(56:41):
all over again. And so I think that's why it's
so hard for these teams, um when they have success
to come back the next year and match the previous
year success. Outside of the Patriots, and I think what
the Patriots have done, what every team needs to do
a better job of modeling, is they reinvent themselves each
year and they don't rest on there these years successes
and they know, um very well that the challenges are

(57:05):
even are even more um difficult the following year after
having success. I think all these things add up and
the Eagles just have not handled the success of last
year very well. Okay, but now what about in terms
of their play? Why is their offensive line struggling so bad?
You know when you're when? And again, I think there's

(57:27):
a lot of reasons, UM, But to me, the biggest
thing is they've lost that ability in must run situations.
They can run the ball, but the must run when
everybody knows you're gonna run, that extra physicality UM, that
ability to look across the line scroomas we're gonna we're
running it right now, and you try to stop us.

(57:47):
I think when you're able to do that, it sets
up all the other things they like to do in
their offense, especially the r pos. They're a very big
r PO team. UM. Teams don't have to honor those
r p o s if there's not the threat of
that UM physic ality in the run game. I think
that's the biggest thing. I do think since Carson's come back,
he's held the ball a little along too. I don't
see him making his crisp decisions early in plays as

(58:09):
I did last year. UM. Part of that's probably the
limited off season, limited training camp, UM, but he he
seems to be holding the ball a bit longer than
last year, and all those things start adding up and
it looks like the offensive line is just a disaster,
but when really it's some of it's a sum of
a lot of different things. Um, let's go to last
night Dallas Cowboys, fourth in one from the UH Texans

(58:34):
forty three yard line and Jason Garrett decides to punt.
What was your reaction when he made that decision. I
understood it. You know, I'm not saying they're freaking out
about it. I understood why I did it. You know,
they're trying to create an identity as a football team
of defense, first, control the ball, built around Zekiel and
the opportunist, opportunistic in the passing game. So it fits

(58:57):
kind of what they're trying to be. Now, personally, I'm
a big believer in this new you know, what is
it momentum of going for on a lot of fourth
downs and the numbers are in your favor, and I
think at that part, that time of the game, that
part of the field. Um, personally, I think he should
have gone for it, and I bet you he's regretting
the decision the sporting But I also also understood in

(59:21):
context of what the Cowboys are this year, why they
decided to punt and pain and try to play these things. Yeah,
and it wasn't like the Texans were marching up and
down the field. And I do think that people don't
realize maybe forty three yard line. Here's what I take
from it. You and me, we probably go for it, right.
We got a special play, We had a special group
of plays for just that sort of situation that we

(59:42):
try and execute, and we go for it. On the
other hand, if you don't get it, you're one or
two completions away from losing the game, as opposed to
if you kick it and you do it right now
a sudden you're you know, two or three plays from
getting the football back and winning the game. Yeah. And
I was watching our buddy Tinning hustle back today on
um TV, and he made a great argument for White

(01:00:04):
upon it. They've been thinking in the run game they
were getting man hands up up front, they are the
edges were being set by the Texans. So when you're
seeing that as a head coach, one, Okay, we're not
gonna run the ball. We just lost yardage on third down. Okay,
let's bootlet it's been a hard bootlegging. They've had a
hard time getting back out and breaking contains. So really,

(01:00:24):
all those short yardage plays that you would go to,
you know, the way the game's going, it's like, we're
not gonn go to execute these. Okay, Well's throwing the
slats receiver. Who who's your big alpha receiver. They can
go in and body up first man and make the play.
So they're kind of I can kind of understand it
more based on how the game was, the temperament of

(01:00:45):
the game. It seemed to me like, and I'm sure
Jason Garret felt the same way. We're just getting our
butts kid. We have a better chance to pump this
thing down, play good defense and get it back and
good field positions start over again. Dil for joining us
in the Doug Gotlik Show here on Fox Sports Radio. Um,
it feels like Derek Carr regressed yesterday. Am I wrong? Honestly,

(01:01:07):
I have not seen the whole game. I've just seen highlights. Um.
Three end zone interceptions is three too many? One a lot?
Like if you play a season and you throw one interception, enzom,
that's a lot. Um, he's saw him three. I think
that's the biggest issue. Uh. He's a very very gifted passer. Um.

(01:01:29):
I kind of like what they're trying to do offensively. Um,
But it seems I think Gruden mentioned this about the
try too hard. It seems like there's some anxiety in
his game. You look at the interceptions he's thrown, You
look at the first down interceptions he's thrown, You look
at kind of the situations when they haven't been able

(01:01:49):
to put points on the board, and it appears to
me if there's a little anxiety in his game. Very correctable.
I think he will. He's a very talented player, but
so far this season it has not been as best football,
and especially in critical moments. Drew is probably gonna pass
Peyton's mark tonight. How has he been able to do
this right? You're not supposed to be able to either
be that small or that old and be this effective.

(01:02:13):
How has the Drew Brees thing happened? That's a great question. Um.
I mean he's the ultimate pro will start there. Um.
You know, the common phenomenator when you talk about the
Mannings and the Bradies and the rivers and the breezes
and whoever you want to put on your lists. Um,
they're they're just the ultimate pros. They just out prepare

(01:02:34):
everybody else. They have a beautiful mind for the game. UM.
I think the synergy he has with Sean Payton has
really helped. And he mentioned that in interview as well,
as there's so many people to think and Shawn's one
of them, and just the belief the Saint had in
him after his time in San Diego Sean Payton, especially
that simpatico relationship he has with the play calling for

(01:02:56):
all these years. Um, He's obviously very talented, he's a
very gifted pastor. He's a phenomenal foot athlete. I mean,
people aren't him enough credit for, especially in his younger years,
what a great athlete he was. Um, And I just
think he's he's one of those passers that kind of
created his own way of doing it and he didn't
try to be like anybody else. He just tried to

(01:03:18):
be the best version of himself and it has become
a pretty awesome version. I have nothing but admiration for
the man and the player. And it's been fun because
you know what I do with the with the youth kid,
with the high school kids, to we use him as
teaching tape, like we used Drew Brees as one of
our best examples of how to how to play the game,
how to pass, how to play a position of quarterback.

(01:03:39):
He just kind of does. He checks every box. There's
thirty layers, if there's thirty boxes, check and being a
great quarterback, he checks all thirte trying dial for joining
us in the Doug Gallip Show. Fall him on Twitter
at Dilfer's Dimes. Check out the Elite eleven Dot Combinations
Premier Quarterback competition, something that he's run for years. Um
speaking of the young quarterbacks, rookie he's four no, four

(01:04:01):
no yesterday. Who's up? Whose performance was the most impressive
of those rookies. I really like how Donald play uh played.
UM big boy throws, UM getting full field reads. You know,
a couple of those chunk those he makes down the field.
He's not staring him down, you know, he's he's looking
away first, he's getting back to the other side of

(01:04:22):
the field, playing around with safeties with his eyes. You know,
just just some gradual level stuff. And the big boy throws,
I mean that those were those are some phenomenal throws.
And I like how he've handled the adversity so far
this season. I just like his overall makeup. I just
really believe it's gonna be a superstar. And yesterday you
could see a lot of it. Odell Beckham Jr. I

(01:04:44):
was critical of him, like, look, dude, you can't when
you say your team doesn't have energy, that means you
your coach isn't getting you to play hard. When you
say hard, you you attack how NFL player's heart. Like,
good luck with that in the locker room. And then
of course he said, I feel like I'm being schemed out.
I'm not being you lies well, and he said something
about Eli not throwing the ball downfield. Look, I don't

(01:05:04):
think you can utter all of these things, but that's me.
I haven't lived in an NFL locker room, only basketball
locker rooms. How do you think he was handled within
the locker room? Terrible? I mean, it goes against everything, Um,
it goes against everything you want to be as a
as a team player. It just it rips apart the
team dynamics. It creates a bunch of messes for everybody

(01:05:27):
else to come clean up for you. Now, Monday and
Tuesday days for reflection and um getting better and moving
on in the next week Monday and Tuesday. Now you're
dealt with having to deal with Odell Beckham stuff. Do
you have an answer for him? You know, you're having
to deal with excess media stuff. It's just the big, hot,
stinking pile of you know what when a player becomes

(01:05:50):
that selfish and and uses that form to express his frustrations. Now,
I think everything he said, there's some truth to it,
should have been said private lee Um to management or
coaches or team meetings or something besides a cheesy sit
down with Josina for the world to see. I just

(01:06:11):
it was so bad. I was blown away. Um. And
I really like Odell, you know, I've got to know
him over the years, and I really liked the kid. Um.
I thought this was just all bad. I can't think
of any other way of say, Angels all bad. Okay,
But but the naysayer will say, hey, look, they went out,
they played, they probably could have won or should have

(01:06:31):
won the game. Now for a fifty seven yard field goal,
what's the big deal. I don't care if the naysayer says.
I've been in the locker room my entire life. I
know all these things play out it's all bad. There's
not nothing good is going to come out of that. Um.
They may play better, Um, they may do some things
that have nothing to do with that. But being part

(01:06:53):
of a football team, no matter how good you are,
no matter what your role is, UM, you have to
look at it is something bigger than yourself. If you
get if you're gonna be good. And that had everything
to do with Odell Beckham j or nothing to do
with the team. Doug All the show Fox Sport Traited.
That's the voice of Trent Dilford. Trent Aaron Rodgers admittedly

(01:07:15):
played poorly in the first half two fumbles, but now
look when his fault, they missed five kicks, four field
goals in an extra point. What do you think is
going on with Rogers though, that he got off to
such a bad start. I mean, obviously he's playing banged
up by I think that is a big part of it. Um,
it's it's hard. A lot of quarterbacks are doing it,
but it's hard to be your best when physically you're

(01:07:36):
not there. Um. They've had some injuries that receiver, so
there's some timing stuff that's going on. I've never been
a believer, I know people talk about how good their
tackles are in past protection. I don't see it. I
don't think they're a great offensive line. I think that
is part of it. Um, But I mean it's Aaron

(01:07:59):
plays is such a high level. He has set the
bar so high, um that when it doesn't look the same, um,
people tend to freak out. To me, I thought, outside
the two fumbles, Uh, it seemed like Aaron to me, Um,
he seemed like he was playing at a very very
high level, especially in the second half. I don't think

(01:08:20):
this is a reason to panic. I just think that,
you know, they're a team, They're an offense that relies
so much on him that as he is off at all, Uh,
it looks much worse than it really is. Great stuff.
Thanks so much for joining us, man appreciate it. Thanksny
TD joining us in the Doug Gotlie Show. Check him

(01:08:40):
out on Twitter at dial ferst times to check out
the Elite eleven dot Com Nations Premiere Quarterback Camp. He's
the Nations Premiere Quarterback. Go rue, let me get ship
to dan Fire because we got scoring in Major League Baseball?
What do you have, my friend? Let's add this to
Cleveland Lord Trevor Bauer. Two errors in the seventh inning
if allowed the Astros to take a four to lead

(01:09:01):
on the Indians in Game three of their divisional series.
Three errors in all for the Indians in the game
as they trail at the best of five matchup two
games to none, so the Astros trying to close it out.
Nine more outs to do it again. Bottom of the
seventh inning, Astros on top of the Indians four to two.
Just getting under way. On Fox Sports One, it's Game
four between the Dodgers and Braves. Top of the first inning,

(01:09:23):
Dodgers up to one of the best of five matchup.
Clayton Kershaw, by the way, We're gonna start Game five
for the Dodgers if necessary. If the Dodgers close it
out today, he'll just start Game one of the NLCS
on Friday. Game three the A L d S between
the Red Sox and Yankees is at seven forty Eastern
tip tonight on TVs. That series is tied up at
a game of peace. A report from ESPN says the
Giants are close to releasing tackle Eric Flowers. Week five

(01:09:47):
wraps up tonight with the Redskins and Saints at eight
twenty Eastern Time. Jaguars running back Leonard four Nette expected
to miss their Week six matchup against the Cowboys with
a strained hamstring. Dug a couple of other notes. First
in hockey Bruins doubled up the Sense today six three
islander splankd the Sharks four nothing. Spurs point guard de
Gent Murray done for the year torn a c l
in his right knee, while the Sons fire general manager

(01:10:08):
Ryan McDonough after five years with the team. Do you
crazy stuff? I mean, it's it's not crazy to fire
Ryan mcdonnald. It's fire crazy to fire m Roy mcdonne.
Now a right, that's a weird one. That's a weird one.
They said you're mcdonneh oh, tough year from mcdonna. Family
of Shaan mcdonnald's brother was used to be the play

(01:10:30):
by played for Monday Night Football. Now he's doing college foball.
He's still very very good like he he died everything
and they're the you know, his sons of Will McDonald's
great writer and used to be on TV with CBS.
So that's pretty powerful. Spots family from up in Baston,
brought to you by Discovered Card. We treat you like
you treat you. I love this idea that that Jason

(01:10:54):
Garrett not running the football on fourth and one from
the forty three yard line. The Houston Texans like, that's
a fireball offense. Fire him right now, when you know
we we get to this, Hey, you gotta go for
it all the go for it all the time. Frank
Reich went for it last week. Now, it was a

(01:11:16):
different situation. It was his own forty three and it
was fourth in four, so it was a little bit different, right,
But he also wasn't playing against the Houston Texans, and
the Houston Texans were dominating the line of scrimmage. So
what you're saying as a fan of what you're saying,
even Jerry Jones like, well, you know, look, I'm not
gonna question the coaches, but I would have gone for it,

(01:11:38):
basically said, I would have don it what they saw
all game and what they chose to do. That's one
of those Hey, I'm I disagree with it, but I
can't fire you for it. It's relatively conservative, but it's
also based upon the game and how it's playing out,

(01:11:59):
and that I understand that my my dad used to
have a saying every game stands out to himself. We
can go with stats, and we can go with all time.
You know, I've heard people go like, well they went
for We've gone for it nineteen times. They've got an
eight team, like, yeah, but they don't have Travis Frederick.
They're not the same offensive line without their center, without
their Wholka. That offensive line has three different starters than

(01:12:21):
the one that that dominated football three years ago. They
were not moving the Texans and what I like to
think that they would get one yard? Yeah, I like
to think I would get would would get one yard.
They could run a little zone read, but I'm not
sure if you're aware, Um, who lines up on one side,

(01:12:41):
one edge for the Texans. That would be Jadeveon Clowney,
former number one overall pick who has quietly come into
his zone. Who lines up on the other edge, That
would be Captain America. Right. So the whole idea of
running zone read is, well, you know you've got that
one edge pass rusher, you can fake out, you can

(01:13:03):
fool You're going against arguably the best tandem in the league.
So there's there's context everything. Would I have gone forward probably, yeah,
I would have had that's one of those. Just like
in basketball, you have your special set of plays for
special searches situations, and you go for it's over time.

(01:13:26):
One play probably wins you the game. One play probably
wins you the game. But they had just gotten stuffed.
They hadn't you know, zeke ELL's averaging two point seven
yards to carry. It's not like you got the ball
three times. And it wasn't like Houston was marching up
and down the field on him, right, They weren't quick

(01:13:49):
update major League Baseball. I believe that's many Machado who
just play did two runs one run. There's only one
guy on okay, Uh, there was a runner at first
base who came all the way around the score. So
Manny Machado hit Manny Max Munsey. It was almost a
hero last night. The Max Munsey story is amazing. Plus

(01:14:12):
what a great name. Max Munsey sounds like starring Max Muncy.
Real quick. Um, if you live in southern California, listen
to this show. You know what I'm saying. To be
to be accurate, last night was the weirdest night ever.
If you looked outside and you didn't know, as I

(01:14:33):
didn't know that SpaceX had launched out of Ventura, California, Ramos,
did you look it's Suzanne saw it first and called
me out there and I saw your tweet maybe ten
minutes later. What did what did she say? She saw
what was this? No? No, she was going out to
get some pizza, but she knew what it was. Uh no,
she didn't either. It looked like like you're like, are

(01:14:55):
there aliens coming? And it was really it looked like
here's what looked like. It looked like there was a
spotlight shining on some sort of smoke and the smoke
was discolored, and it was like a spotlight that was
slowly moving off into the into the ether. But it
was like it was like it was like if there
was a you can imagine the image of a flashlight floating,

(01:15:19):
you know, a thousand yards above the earth, slowly floating away.
Did you see it? Ryme music? Did you know what
it was? That's because you're a millennium and it was like, oh,
it's SpaceX, SpaceX. My my whole family we didn't know
what it was like. We were like, what the heck
is that? My kids like it's a nuclear bomb. It

(01:15:40):
was like, I don't think it's a nuclear bomb, and
then we had to tell my son what a nuclear
bomb was and what it does, and then it became
a really long bedtime last night. Anyway, check out the
Twitter handle. I think I have it up on Instagram
as well. Blake Bortles went full Blake Bortles yesterday against
the Chiefs. Nick Right thinks that Jacks should replace Blake Portles.

John Clayton joining us in The Doug got Leap Show.
Levan apparently told guys in the offense, I'll be there

(01:16:25):
week one of the season. That's why they were so
mad when he didn't show up. Do you think that
he will be traded? No, I don't. I think I mean, yeah,
he is a possibility. I think there's interest in Philadelphia,
there's interest in the Jets, but there's very few teams
that can really fit him into the cap, and there's
not a lot of teams right now looking for running backs,
and so those would be the only two, and I
don't think either one would be able to offer something

(01:16:48):
satisfactory to the Steelers. So in the end, and again
you know, they can may take the tack. At that time,
if they're sitting there with a two two, four and
one record, maybe they'll say, Okay, we'll give a little
bit of a discount sale and just move on because
at this stage, the only thing they'll be able to
get for lebian Bell after this season is a third
round compensatory pick in two thousand and twenty. If you

Doug Gotlive Show, Fox Sports Radio. Oh there's so many
things to get to in sports. I'm watching the Indians
as the bases are loaded for the Astros. It does
not look good for the Indian season. Here's were in
the eighth inning and the Astros have the bases loaded
with a five to two lead, keep and I and
the Dodgers taken on the Braves obviously, must win territory

(01:17:51):
for the Braves. They put a runner aboard in the
first inning with nobody out, Rich Hill on the mound
for the for for the Dodgers, and then we got
Monday Night football, when football is the Saints and the Redskins. Man,
I haven't thought about the Redskins at all in a while.

(01:18:11):
Have you you guys ever thought thought about the Redskins?
Thought about They're they're gonna by last week? Right? It
was so weird. It feels like the bye start earlier.
Is that? Is that? What is that? What it is?
I don't know if they start earlier. They just seem
like they started earlier. And now, which is brought to
you by Granger, America's trusted source for industrial supplies and

(01:18:35):
safety products. This Granger dot Com for whatever you need,
whenever you need it. Granger the ones who get it done.
Nick Wright said this about Blake Bortle's awful game against
the Chiefs Jacksonville. As a franchise, they have made a
critical mistake this offseason not trying to upgrade their quarterback
and trying to rely on that defense in this era

(01:18:56):
where they throw the ball too effectively for the second
straight year, and I set it last year and people
laugh for the second straight year that Jacksonville Jaguars are
a quarterback injury away from being a contender. That's all
they need backup And he's gone right right now, the backup.
Oh we looked it up this morning. Uh, Kobe, I
understandbody Kessler ain't great, but I do know this, and

(01:19:17):
I'm not gonna go third rail and I'm just gonna
mention it. I do say, I do know say that
they had people campaigning for Colin Kaepernick to be brought
in last year, had talked to him, they talked to
the head co Chat was ready, the coach wasn't opposed
to it, and Tom Coughlan put the kai bosh on it. Okay,

(01:19:38):
all right, enjoy enjoy Blake Bortles. Okay, let me just
start with this. Colin Kaepernick can't play. Okay, he can't.
He's not good. He was good, he had Do you
know the last time Colin Kaepernick was really good in
nash Football? Like, do you want to take a take
a guess at what year that was? Take a take

(01:19:59):
a wild gues us two thousand thirteen. Two thousand thirteen,
we had a different president in two thousand thirteen. Don't
let me get started with all these other things. Jim
Harball was his coach. He lost the Niners, lost the nine,
his starting gig twice twice to a former quarterback who

(01:20:23):
happened to be a quarterback with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Trust me,
if Colin Kaepernick could really play, could really play, he
would be in the league. So he can't. So look,
I thought they should have traded for Eli last year.
And I do think that Borders is a little bit
better than we've given him credit. And he's one of
those guys that he's a streaky guy or a confidence
guy when things are going poorly. It just all kind

(01:20:46):
of snowball snowballs. But at this point, their pot committed
financially to Blake Portals, and there isn't a guy who's
out there on the on the market who's better, even
the re agent market this past year. Maybe you could
make the case, maybe you could make the case that

(01:21:08):
uh Kirk Cousins was better, but they couldn't pay Kirk
Cousins what Minnesota pay Kirk Cousins completely guaranteed contractor like
eighty four million. Couldn't do that. They gotta pay Jalen
Ramsey and all the other defense they ought that, all
those the other defensive dudes they've already paid before they
even paid Jalen Ramsey. Okay, they want case Keenum, case

(01:21:30):
Keenum and good enough either And if you want to
tell me Alex Smith, okay, Alex Smith wasn't good enough
to get him to the super Bowl in San Francisco
when good enough and can say he's a good player,
but he's not great, and I don't I think he
is probably better than Bordles, but not so much so
when he had Bordles already under contract. And so this
idea that you can magically come up with an imaginary

(01:21:52):
quarterback who can't who can play better than Blake Bortles,
at this point in time, it doesn't actually exist. Colin
Kaepernick was part of bad teams in San Francisco, and
that's not all his fault. But he was also three
and sixteen over his last nine starts, three and sixteen.

(01:22:13):
Even after they went to the Super Bowl. The following year,
they were eight and eight, and he regressed. He did
not improve. He had nineteen touchdowns and ten receptions and
Jim Harbaugh's last year and they were eight night. So
this idea that he's somehow the messiah because back in

(01:22:33):
two thousand thirteen he dominated for a short period time
with a loaded roster the San Francisco forty Niners. Do
you know how much has changed in the NFL since
two thousand? We remember Kaepernick like he was Elway, Like
Elway was down there for fifteen years. Yeah, one good

(01:22:56):
year and like two or three really good playoff games
against bad packer defenses. Honesty is not always the best policy.
That's next in The Doug Gotlip Show, Fox Sports Radio.
Be sure to catch live editions of The Doug Dot
Leap Show weekdays at noon Eastern three pm Pacific. What
Up Tug got Leap Show, Fox Sports Radio. I think

(01:23:19):
oftentimes in sports, especially in baseball, we're hesitant because of well,
in the political world, calling a state, right, I don't
want to call a game like Saturday, Texas is a
big on Oklahoma. I think it was forty five. Then
Oklahoma scored three straight touchdowns and did so in really

(01:23:40):
quick fashion, and heck, Oklahoma almost got the ball back
with time was time left, but I thought with plenty
of time left, they almost got a couple of stops.
But I was ready to call that game. Called that
game in the fourth quarter ten and a half to go,
like this thing is over, and then it wasn't over.
But this one I'm come comfortable calling. The Indians are

(01:24:04):
up ten to two in the bottom of the eighth
inning at home going in the bottom of anything. I
am comfortable calling this game for the Astros. Comfortable, very
very comfortable. Um I'm also comfortable telling you that Odell
Beckham Jr. Um Odell Beckham Jr. Has very few friends

(01:24:30):
in that Giant's locker room. Because here's the interview, which
played in its entirety on Sunday before the Giants lost
in a sixty three yard field goal to the Carolina Panthers.
Do you have an issue at quarterback? Then? I don't know.
Like I said, I feel like he's not gonna get out.
The party's not We know elis now running, but is

(01:24:53):
it amount of time issue? Can you still through it? Yeah,
he's been pretty safe and has been cool kitching the
Shadow and Tron take it to the house. But I
want you know, I wanna I want to go over
the top of somebody. I didn't even think that was
the bad part. Like the Eli stuff was paled in
comparison to when he said there's a lack of energy
and we need to play with more heart. It's about heart.

(01:25:18):
You're calling out guys toughness. You're calling out how hard
guys play, how hard guys play. That's about coaching their toughness.
That's about what they got inside of them. Now is
is head coach can say like these are the type
of things and situations that galvanize a locker room. And
by the way, they're in a nice trick play where

(01:25:39):
he caught the ball and threw it back. I think
the sterling Shepherd was one of the best passes of
the day for either quarterback. But still, when when Josina
Anderson asked him if he has an issue at quarterback,
the only answer is no. This is the do I
look fat in these pants? Answers, No, absolutely fat it? No,

(01:26:00):
you look great? Well what about these pants? Do I
look fatter in these pants? Oh? These are different levels
of great, right, different levels are great. Here's ol b
J after the game. I don't regret anything that I said,
if it if it took that for us to come
together as a team like we did today, I could
take that every single time. Yeah, that's not really the

(01:26:22):
way it works. Here's Pat Sherman when he was asked
about the comments, Let's talk football, not drama. Mm hmm.
It seems like he's he's happy about it, right, he
seems happy about it. That's talk football, not drama. Let's
talk football not drama. And I don't I've said this
about the Habib fight against McGregor. Kabib. I'm sorry the

(01:26:46):
Kabib fight against McGregor. I blamed Dana. I blame Connor
more than I blame Colbee because they it's like a
powder keg Aga and they left one of those trails,
remember like an old eighties cartoons, how you would take

(01:27:06):
the what is that stuff with the wick where they
would take the powder like the TNT and they would
sprinkle it and somebody would light it. That's what they
didn't light it. Yeah, they sprinkled it all out. They
left the trail, and they left it right next to Kabib,
and then all of a sudden it was kind of lit.
The fuse was lit by an incredible atmosphere, an incredible fight,
and then you gotta dude is wired to just eat

(01:27:28):
like a pit bull in a cage that's barely been
fed for months. And now he goes over the cage.
He goes after people. You start talking about somebody's religion,
their family, their country, and they're not in on it.
It's not funny to them. They're coming after you. Well,

(01:27:51):
that's the same here with the Giants. You sign Odell
Beckham Jr. To an extension before he's played through any
sort of adversity. This is exactly what I told you
what happened. Anybody can be a good soldier when zero
and zero. Anybody can be a good soldier when you're
five and oh like right now, there is no drama
in Kansas City. There's no drama with the Rams. Rams

(01:28:14):
didn't play well yesterday, probably should have lost the Seahawks.
These are facts. Golf is a different quarterback when you
put some pressure on him. And as much as the
the Seahawks are undergoing this transformation to a different team,
there are parts of that were pretty impressive. I mean, boy,
christ now, they obviously whipped on the first round pick,
but Chris Carson has been awesome for him, But they

(01:28:39):
easily could have or should have lost that game. But
they're in with the Rams. No, they had no problems,
not zero, because they're winning. But what happens when you
start one in three or now one and four now
is exactly when I would be able to determine what
type of dude Odell Beckham Jr. Was. And I will

(01:29:00):
grant you the Giants had a couple of terrible calls
go against them, and they lost the record setting record
tying sixty three yard field goal, Like that is a
tip your cap, Graham Gonno makes it like what are
you gonna do? And they did actually play well, But
the idea, the idea that Odell Beckham Jr. Thinks one
of the reasons they played well was he called out

(01:29:22):
their heart and how and how hard they played and
how he was getting used and his quarterback. Boy, does
that guy not get it? And why why should he
get it? I don't blame him for not getting it.
I blame the Giants. I blame Dave Gettleman. I blame
people in the media who are now uh who are

(01:29:43):
objecting to his comments after saying he should be paid
before he ever played down this season. You pay a
guy before he shows that he can handle being inside
of a locker room when it's potentially dysfunct know when
you run into a tough spot and this is what

(01:30:04):
you get. Don't blame ob J for being O b J.
Money doesn't make you a different person. That makes you
more of who you are. That's who he's always been.
He can You can have a hundred people swear to
me you don't know what Odell Beckham Jr. He's really
good kid. I believe that. Unfortunately, no one does this

(01:30:29):
at their place of work. No one. People don't do
it at Pizza Hut or Blaze Pizza. Then I'll go like, hey,
your pizza is great. Thanks. You know, it could be
better if Jimmy knew how to work the line better.
You know, my manager with the hours just not great.
The crazy part about his sudden a bout with honesty

(01:30:52):
is that he was dishonest about liking the fact they
were one in three. These questions are not hard to answer.
Are you happy about being you know? How do you
feel about being one in three? I'm not happy about it.
Do we have a do you have a quarterback issue?
Absolutely not? Eli Manning is my quarterback? Think about Eli Manning.

(01:31:15):
Eli Manning never wanted to play for the San Diego Charge,
was drafted by the Charge, and then was treated. Did
you ever hear Eli Manning say I don't want to
be I don't want to be drafted by the Charge.
I don't want to play for the Chargers. Did those
words ever come out of his mouth in public? Nope?
Did you want Tom Coughlin gone, Nope, or at least

(01:31:37):
not publicly. But Tom Coffin is not there. And if
Eli Manning wanted Tom Coffin is still be there? I
guess it would still be there. Hey. They went out
and hired an unproven offensive coordinator to be his coordinator,
Ben McAdoo, and then hired him as his coach. Did
you hear Eli Manning say I want McAdoo to be
my coach? Nope, But behind the scenes he probably did,

(01:31:59):
or he had p will tell the Giants that they did,
and when McAdoo was in over his head and he
was ultimately fired, or when even when McAdoo tried to
bench him, I don't want McAdoo tried to bench him,
called Elie in and then all of a sudden, all
hell broke loose. All these things have worked out in
Eli's fashion. Right, there was a sudden revolt against Macadoo

(01:32:20):
and against Jerry Reese and against the Giants because they're
playing Geno Smith. How did that all take place without
Eli saying anything publicly? Because not what we say publicly,
as we say privately that gets things done. Meanwhile, Eli
has been awe shucks. I'm just kind of backgirl to problem,
happy to be here. That's how you actually change things,

(01:32:42):
not by going in front of the camera and killing
your teammates, your coach and even your uh, your your
overall locker room. All right, Dan Buyer has breaking news
in the NFL. Dan what he got breaking news from
Fox Sports dug in the NFC East. Maybe the only
locker room or there's more than one locker room having issues.

(01:33:04):
The Philadelphia Eagles have placed running back Jedgi on injured
reserve now a g. I has been dealing with a
back injury, but he did play yesterday against the Minnesota
Vikings and then made waves with comments after the game
saying that they needed to run the ball more. He
said that it wasn't just him, but other running backs
on the Eagles team needed to be involved. But the Eagles,
on a short week they've got the Giants on Thursday,

(01:33:25):
have placed Jagi on injured reserve. Remind me why the
the Dolphins got rid of Jji mid season last year
just came away. Well, yeah, he was a he was
an issue in the locker room. What would you remember
what the issue was? Um, I don't remember exactly. I
believe it was he wanted the ball more. Remember he
didn't make the season opening trip to UH to Seattle

(01:33:48):
and in there like there was like, oh, j Ji,
this is a couple of years ago, and uh think
Arian Foster was there at the time. But yeah, this
is this is interesting. This is a common theme from
j H I. Oh. Eagles say j j I tore
his A c L and is out for the season.
This just just out, just out. So the initial was

(01:34:10):
he was placed on the i R. But Adam Schefter
says he tore his A c L. No, he spoke
after the game yesterday. So that as a weird as
a weird deal where guys, but I would agree that
he was That's what Miami did. I'm going to cover
the Dolphins and Bears this Weekend'm getting a chance to
work sideline and um um. There's a common theme when

(01:34:34):
you talk to Dolphins people like, hey, we wanted our
locker room to be better, and guys that aren't here,
that's one of the reasons they're not here, not because
they're not talented, not to be really good players. We'll
ask Jason lock Camphora about the Giants locker room, about
the Eagles locker room. Plus, he had a great article
today about Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy's relationship. Is it fixable?

(01:34:54):

Radio as one of those games that cannot get over
quick enough right uh. Jose Al Tove ends up on
first base and then he gets the second on the
box when there's nobody covering first base. Did you know

(01:35:38):
there was a box? Ramos? Yeah, you have to throw
the first base when when you if you make a move,
unless you step you can step off. You step off first,
then you can fake over the first base. You don't
have to once you're on their mouth, you turn, you
gotta throw it correct, So tub gets uh get second
base or no, that's not at second two base up
at at bat regardless it's ten to it's the top

(01:36:02):
of the that ninth because it's still the eighth and
I cannot see that's the ninth on the top of
the ninth inning. This bad boys over over. Meanwhile, Rich Hill, uh,
still zeros on the board. The Dodgers have a one
nothing lead in the bottom of the third in against
Atlanta Braves. Remember Atlanta. If they they lose, they are

(01:36:24):
done done and we would have our championship series potentially
set with the exception of Yankees Red Sox. Yes, just
a quick question before it looking for it comes on.
Do you think the game still stays one nothing? Do
you think would if you have to put some money down,

(01:36:45):
you think it's gonna go change? With Rich Hill? Yeah,
he's gonna go yes, yes, uh for for absolutely positively, sure,
absolutely positively sure. Acuna is up though, and he's pretty
awesome alight, all right, Jason Lackham for reporting on the

(01:37:11):
j j I stuff. He just got pulled in to
his duties over at CBS Sports, so he, uh, we're
gonna get him. Maybe maybe we'll get us in tennis.
We'll just see. But it's really interesting the timing of it.
J j I Wants to eat was the article I
read earlier today that where he wanted the ball more

(01:37:31):
and now he won't. He will he can hold on
the ball as much as he wants, but he'll be
going through a c L surgery. So fascinating to see
what happens now with the Philadelphia Eagles, you know, it's
It's also interesting. I don't think the Eagles would make
that sort of move, but hey, they made trades in

(01:37:53):
the past. There is a running back available in the
state of Pennsylvania who has does not have a lot
of wear and tearing his tires, and there are a
team in the Eagles that have shown they will pay
dudes in the past. Think about the think back to
what they did once they got rid of Chip Kelly.
They paid a bunch of guys. They have not been shy.

(01:38:16):
Be fascinating to see if the Pittsburgh Steelers were able
to make a move as they get a win yesterday
and they're still without Levan bell Um. And then there's
this story from the New York Giants. Eric Flowers is
going to uh, they're gonna release him if they can't
trade him. Problem if they trade him is there's a

(01:38:38):
kicker clause into his contract. He's the former left tackle
turned right tackle and guy who's a constant whipping boy,
but he has been a bad offensive lineman for the
g Men, and the Giants continue to look to fix
themselves as the season runs on. I was actually pretty

(01:38:58):
impressed by Seattle yesterday. I thought they played good football.
But I'm not sure if did you guys see what
happened in the Seattle game. It was really interesting. So
you go to the end of the game, okay, end
of the game, and the Rams are up what they
went by a point? Okay, so up by two points.

(01:39:19):
So this is the end of the game. There's like
a minute forty three I think to go in the
game and O Holmey to the exact exact time. So
the the l A Rams have the football and they
get stopped and it's fourth and one in their own territory.

(01:39:40):
It's kind of the same situation we've been talking about,
and everybody's like, oh, well, Sean McVeigh goes for it.
He goes for it, and look at all these other
coaches that Jason Garrett doesn't go for it. But in truth,
McVeigh wasn't going to go for it. They had the ball,
they got stopped on third and one. It was actually
at the Rams forty two yard line. There was a

(01:40:04):
minute thirty nine to go. They checked the spot of
the ball. Now he got stopped with a minute fifty
two to go in the game, with a minute thirty nine,
the Seahawks called time out, and when they called time out,
the Rams players are like, dude, let's go for it.
We can get it. They ran a sneak with Jared Goff.
He gets the first down. The Seahawks had no time

(01:40:26):
outs left. That was the game. But it's one of
those why are you calling time out? Don't let him
think about it. If somebody wants to make a bad decision,
even if it's gonna cost you thirty five seconds. Fine
for for Russell Wilson at home, you give him a

(01:40:47):
time out and a minute and five to go. I
actually think that's plenty of time. It's again, it's not ideal,
but it's not terrible. I have no idea if you
want to sit there and go like, look, we were
trying to give him, you know, good trying to give
Russell a minute thirty nine to go. You had to

(01:41:08):
think though for a second, Hey, we're gonna they're gonna
think about whether or not they want to kick this
field goal. I mean, they want to see and they
want to go for it. So this idea that McVeigh
was absolutely going forward in his own territories like yeah,
just punt it. He double clutch, he decides to pun it.
They send the punt team out there, Pete Carroll call's

(01:41:29):
time out. The players go over and they're like, dude,
let's go for it. Let's win this game, which, by
the way, I get I agree with I agree with
Dan Buyer's a Seahawks fan. Dan should they have called
the time out? Um, they should have called time out
two minutes earlier when they and that that was part
of the problem. But I think that having that time

(01:41:49):
out with the minute left is just as valuable as
having thirty more seconds. So I don't think, yeah, well,
I mean, like, look, I'm watching it take place, and
they're kind of throwing the punt team out there at
the last second, right after the measurement the first he
was like, punt team, and they go out to the
punt and they're like call it time. I was like,
it was almost like Pete Carroll's like, are you sure
you want to do this? Yeah? I agree whole hardily,

(01:42:12):
and for doing that, because remember the Rams in this
game didn't even and they used other time outs with
like nine minutes to go in the fourth quarter, So
when the Seahawks had the ball, there were a lot
of you know ways where they could have maybe run
down the clock. They ended up having to force the punt.
But the Rams got the ball back with about I
don't know, three minutes left, and the Seahawks refused to
call the time outs prior to the two minute. We

(01:42:32):
gotta call it on the other side of the two minute. Yeah,
it's and you call the time outs because the other
team is obviously going to use more time. But yeah,
the Seahawks actually for Pete Carroll's explanation after the game
of why he did that, then, well, he just said
that they you know, we're trying to save the the
time on the clock. Then that counteracted on why he

(01:42:52):
didn't call it on the other side of the two
minute warnings, and they watched it. They watched it. I'll
say this about the Rams, I didn't think they look
particular yesterday. I couldn't run the football. Um, they couldn't
run the football. And I thought that that Golf showed.
Golf showed some some of what we saw from him
last year late last year in the playoffs, Whereas I
feel like Seattle they figured out that Chris Carson is

(01:43:14):
their guy, figured out the running game, and you know,
Russell wasn't great, hedn't have to throw it a bunch,
but he's pretty effective. Tyler Lockett seemed to be open.
You only had three catches, but sure seem to be
open a lot more than that. Like I was kind
of I know, the Rams won the game, and sometimes
you just find a way to win, but I also
feel like that was a game to which I was

(01:43:35):
more impressed by Seattle than I thought I would have been.
And I wasn't as impressed by the Rams as I
should have been. Yeah, if I if I'm the Rams,
the concern I'm taking is what you said is if
there's a team that can run the ball against them,
Seattle at a hundred and seventy yards between Carson and
Davis yesterday, Um, that would probably be their achilles heel. Well,
they play the Broncos next in the road, not really

(01:43:55):
a team that'll run the football, then the Niners who
stink who just lost home, Then the Packers who don't
run it. Uh, there's like two good teams, like three Patriots,
Chiefs and Rams. But are the Patriots really any good? Yeah?
That's I mean, like I looked at the standings yesterday
and everybody is, you know, two and three, three and two.

(01:44:16):
I mean the Bengals are four and one. I mean,
I actually think the Bengal is pretty good. They're okay,
but Ryan Tannehill turnovers in their own territory or to
uh to end up getting a win. I mean, I
know it's weird because I was watching that game and
the Dolphins had a big lead in the first half,
and then I started watching other games and I came out.

(01:44:36):
I'm like what what what happened? I missed it? What happened?
And I got a record? I want to go back
and watch every plague because because of the mining game
this weekend. Um. Yeah, and then I would say the Bears.
But like the Bears really good defense. Nobody knows that
their offense. Nobody thinks their offense is very good. Yeah,
this is this is this is our NFL. Maybe isn't

(01:44:56):
this the way the NFL has always been though? Yeah,
my phone agrees, Yeah, ah, here it is. Yep, this
is the way the NFL has always fun. SI just
told you that. Let's get to damn buyer or find
out what else is going on in sports. As I believe,
the Dodgers got out of a jam. That's the only
reason that John Ronalds could pump his fist enjoy over

(01:45:17):
a pop up one nothing Dodgers over the Braves at
the end of three of the game that you can
see on Fox Sports one. It's Game four of the
National League Divisional Series. Dodgers up to one and the
best of five matchup. Rich Hill on the mound for
the Dodgers. Now, if the Dodgers win this game, they'll
have Game one of the NLCS Friday in Milwaukee. Clayton
Kershall will start it. If the Dodgers lose this game,

(01:45:39):
they'll have Clayton Kershaw in their Game five in l
A against the Brave, so Kershaw is gonna start the
Dodgers next game. No matter what it is, there's going
to be the next game for the Houston Astros. That's
in the A LCS. They're up on the Indians right now,
eleven to two in the bottom of the ninth inning.
The Indians next game will happen in Astro is about
to complete the sweep up to all. I know, I'm
not supposed to say that up, but they're up nine.

(01:46:00):
Doug already put their nails in the coffin. Stro's getting
help from George Springer to home runs today, Marwin Gonzalez
the two RBI double, Carlos Korea a three run home
run for Houston Red Sox and Yankees tonight on TVs
seven forty Eastern Time in their Game three. That series
is tied up at a game of peace. The news
just in from the NFL Eagles running back j Gi

(01:46:21):
He has been placed on injured reserve, with multiple reports
saying he suffered a torn a c L and yesterday's
game against the Minnesota Vikings. It was reported a Jiu
suffered the injury during the game but was able to
return to action, so he may have played the second
half with that knee injury. By the way, he has
now done for the season. Eagles have the Giants on
a short week, playing Thursday night football on Fox. ESPN

(01:46:41):
says the Giants are close to releasing tackle Eric Flowers.
Redskins and Saints tonight wrap up Week five at eight
twenty Eastern time. Some notes from the NBA Suns fire
general manager Ryan mcdonnoh after five years with the team,
and the San Antonio Spurs lost point guard John Murray
with a torn a c L in his right knee.
He's expected to miss the entire nineteen season. Oh and

(01:47:02):
Lonzo Ball practice today. Closer to returning for the Lakers.
Maybe seeing some preseason action tomorrow. Mm hmmmm, lon Zoe Ball.
Doug Gottlib Show, Fox Sports Radio. So good, so good.
It's great, very excited, very very very excited. Um, look

(01:47:25):
at my flight itinerary here getting ready to do so,
you guys have any advice for me? Sideline stuff? Should
I do the Crockett look from from Miami Advice. White suit, linen,
undershirt like kind of grown in scruff. What do you
guys think? I don't think that's the best idea, But

(01:47:48):
I'm not going to tell you not to do it. Now. Listen,
you have to. That's what friends tell friends what they
should and should not do. What you go for it?
I say, go for it. No, no, no, just they
go for it. To go for it. I like, I
like my sideline reporters clean shaven Doug like clean shaven friend. Okay, Well,

(01:48:10):
I'm just trying to see if I'm just trying. I'm
just I'm just trying to like, like how much fun
do we have with it? Right? Like like like I'm not,
I'm not I'm not doing Fox News right like, we're not.
I'm not going to political convention. I'm going to a
football game between the Bears and the Dolphins. Here's how
you know how old you are and how much football
you know. The most famous Bears Dolphins game is what

(01:48:33):
John Ramos gain that damn Marino beat the undefeated Bears
and thank you? Right? Was that what you're thinking of?
Dan Byer? Yes he has music, is like yeah, yeah,
I have no idea what you're talking about. They were undefeated.
The one I was thinking when j Fiedler took the
Dolphins into Chicago and got that win some game that

(01:48:54):
Rex Grossman played. Yeah, yeah, R do you know what
this I mean? Here's how dominant they were. They played
the Patriots in the Super Bowl and they beat the
Patriots to ten. That's not good. Okay, they lost one
game that year. Many people consider that defense the best
defense in the history of the sport, the modern history

(01:49:15):
of the sport. Okay, Super Bowl Shuffle terrible video um
and Richard uh refrigerator Perry and they had Richard Dent.
But the big like the only controversy out of that
Super Bowl was that they gave the ball to the
fridge to score touchdown, and they didn't give the ball
to Walter Payton. Right Like, the signature player for the

(01:49:39):
Bears was sweetness Walter Payton, and his signature play was
handed to him he would jump over the pilot into
the end zone. And instead they gave it to a
defensive lineman because he was like flavor of the month.
That was like, did get complete brain fart doing that?
But the Bears that year were utterly and thoroughly dominant.

(01:49:59):
They won the divisional playoffs twenty one nothing. They won
the NFC Championship Game twenty four nothing, and they won
the Super Bowl. Think about that. Didn't allow a point
in their two playoff games. They beat Ramos's Rams at
home terrible weather, right, terrible weather at Soldier Field. And

(01:50:20):
of course the Rams came out there and lay into
Laiden egg. And of course Dieter procts your quarterback not
the best way, not not not so much. Also the Giants,
I believe that was the game. The wind was blowing
so much against the Giants that like Sean Lendetta was
the punter, and he went back to when he dropped
the ball, it like blew, whereas footing me like completely

(01:50:41):
whipped on a kick. But like they were the nastiest defense.
They only allowed a hundred and ninety eight points the
entire season. Entire season. Go and look at how many
teams have allowed a hundred nine points so far this year.
And it was December second, Monday Night football, the old

(01:51:03):
Orange Bowl, the old Orange Bowl, and uh Dan Marino
and the Boys let him up thirty eight. So I
want to call upon that, right they're pretty cool. That's
like one of the few money of of the five
big NFL games I remember from my childhood early had

(01:51:26):
lessons even early like, that's one of the five that
that's one of the five biggest NFL games I can remember.
And two of the Bears games I remember. The was
the playoff game against Eagle where you couldn't see the
field right because may have been a regular season anyway,
we're gonna say buyer um. I was gonna say. You

(01:51:46):
could say this because of the stadium and that was
obviously in the old Orange Bowl. That game was astros
moving on. They just swept the Indians. That you could
say that the Bears have actually played a more important
game in that stadium because that's where super Bowl. Well,
in the rain storm, in a rainstorm against Peyton Manning Rasley,
Rex Grossman is our quarterback. Alright, Rex Grossman is our quarterback.

(01:52:07):
Rex Rosmin was so bad that Lovey Smith was the
head coach and he had to answer questions as to
whether not Rex Grossman would still be the quarterback in
the Super Bowl even though he had led them to
a super Bowl. Okay, so here's the question. Who was
the backup quarterback that year? Was it Calarton? Calarton who

(01:52:32):
had had a like a stunning rookie season. Cowarton was
on his way to winning a Highsman Trophy tifore. He
tried to play superman. I think against it with Wisconsin,
Wisconsin at home, Awharton. There you go Calharton, who was
then traded for j Cutler, right, and then cal Wharton
who then at some point appeared as the Dallas Cowboys

(01:52:53):
starting quarterback. That cal Harton. But man, you look back
at those five bear stats and really really impressive. NFL
insider Jason lack camp Flora joins the show upcoming next,
he had a great article about Aaron Rodgers and Mike
McCarthy's relationship. Plus um, all right, so the Eagles are down,
j j I, what is that? Are they in the
levy On market? Gotta ask? We'll find out next. Be

(01:53:15):
sure to catch live editions of The Doug dot Leap
Show weekdays at noon eastern three pm Pacific. Previously on
The Doug god Leap Show, Michael Lombardi is a former
general manager of the nash Football League. The Eagles were told, hey,
when they get Carson Wentz back, all Sean Jeffrey back,
they'll be fine. Suddenly the offensive line camp block. What's

(01:53:35):
going on in Philadelphia? Detunsive secondary hasn't covered anybody in
two years. I don't think you want anybody can't understand this.
They gave up six hundred and thirteen yards and twenty
six minutes to the Patriots, yet they won the game.
The Eagles have always played defense. They played single hunters.
They played twenty six minutes, twenty seven, that's all. When
they have to play over thirty minutes, they get exposed.
And if their defensive warrant can't dominate the game with pressure,

(01:53:58):
they missed Tim Journey and badly. If they can't dominate
the game with their defensive front, teams are gonna move
the ball. I mean, you're at Manning. The reason he
stole the quarterback in New York and the reason he's
still they The Giants didn't draft another quarterback this year
when they had the second pick of the draft is
because they all sighted the two Eagle games against this
great Eagle defense that he lies through the ball against. Well,
you just can't cover anybody. What they do well is

(01:54:20):
rushed the passer and create turnovers. That's what they've done,
and this year they're not the same team. In the
defensive line, they missed journey gains. The other area they're
not the same is Carson Wentz on third down. Carson
Wentz last year on third down average over nine yards
per attempt, nine yards pert tempt on third down, that's rare.
This year he's back to five, just slightly under six,
which is the norm, and I think that's been a problem.

(01:54:41):

Sports Radio. So they're popping the Bubbly in Houston as
they get ready to see if they take on the
Red Sox or the Yankees. They'll have a couple of
days off. Meanwhile, Ridge hill As walked the leadoff hitter
in the bottom of the fourth inning. That's always a
no no, don't walk the lead don't want the lee

(01:55:28):
off hitter. Don't want the lee off hitter. Don't want
to lee off hit her? What do you do walk
the lead off hitter. Let's get to the press. The
press count on Granger to drop a winning plays a
Granger dot comference supplot for industrial supplies and safety products
to help your business cross the goal line. Granger for
the ones that get it done. Dan fire what he got. Yeah,
this is how the Astros got it done in Cleveland.

(01:55:50):
Oh Man. Karay aligns it pretty deep to right field.
It sends back a prayer is still going back looking up.
See you later. A free roun hole rock for Carlos
Karaya and the Astros leads. It ended up eleven the
three dug on the Astros Radio network. This was a
two one game heading into the seventh inning and then
Houston just blew it open. George Springer to him, runs

(01:56:11):
on the game. Astro's back in the A l c
S you want to go again with that one? Well,
I'm sorry, I've got ninety seven drops being played as
I'm trying to talk. I thought we were just like
one between the story, but there were seven as I
was talking. So in the ALCS, maybe maybe John's on
on the caffeine. You're good, you got it. You don't

(01:56:33):
blame John. Oh yeah, No, it's dance fault. Dance sucks. John. No, listen, happens,
you can it happens, You're good. He's got to learn
to do it in moderation. What's next, John, Seriously, I
can't have nine drops and I'm trying to read a story.
He has as many drops as you have. Complaints in
the last thirty whatever. Doug Dodgers, well you already said this.

(01:56:55):
Dodgers up one nothing in the fourth Sports one. You
could see it right now. Clayton Kershaw is gonna start
Game five of the series if needed, or Game one
of the NLCS on Friday and Milwaukee. Ritchill has Richell
has no pitching stamina. Have you ever seen his numbers?
Like first fifty pitches, like guys hit below two hundred
against him. After fifty pitches, it's like to ninety or

(01:57:19):
something against them, Like literally no Pagrion Martinez used to
be that was hundred pitches, but one Pagrion Martinez is
amazing and too, like like a hundred pitches, like you
get almost through a game like that fifty pitches, not
very much. If Richell goes through four, what does that
say about Luis Savarino of the Yankees? Remember when we
were plotting him going for Yeah, congratulations, but I want
nothing in the fourth? In Atlanta, the news in the

(01:57:42):
NFL comes from Philadelphia. The Eagles place running back j J.
I e and injured reserve where they torn a c L.
Do you think they go after Levian Bell? Yeah? I
think they do. They're the type. They're type there go
for a where go for a team. I absolutely think
they do. Yeah to second round picks. Andrews Ciciliano tweeted
that out for Philadelphia, so they at least have some

(01:58:04):
flexibility and what they could give Pittsburgh. But what what's
the market anyway on Levian Bell? I mean if if
second round pick? Sure for so what James Conner did
yesterday against the Falcons, now he hasn't done on weekend
and week out. But by the way, if Levian Bell
does end his hold out and go back to the
Steelers and is not traded right away, the Pittsburgh Post

(01:58:25):
Gazette reports that the Steelers could use a running back
by committee approach, with Bell and Connor getting the carries
if he comes back running back by committee like everybody
else in the NFL, why don't you just run Levian
Bell into the ground like like they were worried about
at the beginning. If your reports models to use them, yeah,
I think they will use them a bunch. But I
think you'll still use James Conner especially he's a guy

(01:58:47):
who feels like you can take more contact. And you know,
Levian Bell going from zero to a hundred and playing
in the NFL and guys are you know, try and
take your head offs kind of hard. You touched on
this earlier, but ESPN reporting the Giants are close to
releasing tackle Eric Flowers, which seems like a long time
coming that could happen as you mentioned tomorrow, just because
of contract situations. Uh. The Elsewhere in the National Football League,

(01:59:08):
Jaguars are banged up. Leonard Fordette expected to miss another
week because of his hamstring strain. This in addition to
Corey Grant backup running back to t J Yelden, he
was placed on injured reserve because of a foot injury.
Jaguars have the Cowboys coming up in Week six, and
Blake Bortles like lost all of his powers throw the
ball off the helmet. Now, in fairness to Blake butles

(01:59:30):
that throwing off the helmet can happen because you're not
you're not supposed to look at your offensive lineman. But
it just looked bad because he played so poorly and
he throw through the ball off his helmet. Step aside, inside,
there's there's someone new to the game. Yes, Dick Vital
getting in on the inside information. As the longtime college
basketball analysts tweeted this earlier today. Quote, A source involved

(01:59:50):
in the FBI hoops investigation told me there could be
some testimony tomorrow that can create a big nightmare for
some coaches in schools state tuned end quote, Oh, let
me tell you. Let me tell you. When I talk
about the n c a A, you're talking about Chewsky
and Roy Williams and Jim Calhoun and Rick Pottino. Oh,

(02:00:12):
it's terrible Rick Pottino did. But Rick Pottino shouldn't have
been fired because I always support the coaches anyway. Good,
that's that's pretty cool. Not for the coaches that could
be named tomorrow. That won't be very cool for them.
But listen, Pettinochevsky, Roy Williams, what's up. I'm just going

(02:00:33):
through names. How we give me some more day? You've
got to have a fall guy. If all guys won,
Robert Montgomery Night, remember that one, Dicky V you'd always
say the middle name, Robert Montgomery Knight the general. Yes,
Roger that So we'll have to We'll be waiting with
bated breath on that tomorrow. How about right with those

(02:00:56):
beautiful suits. But yeah, it's not bad, not bad all?
John bee Line got anything for the Michigan coach? Did
do John bel did? I'm sorry? Um, let's see you
had a material? No, No, I've got I got a
couple more for you. Mike Stoops officially, can today is
a question? Okay, no question? Ifody knows that I That

(02:01:19):
stat that I saw today blows my mind, blows my mind.
And that's that Oklahoma had zeros had had prevented scoring
zero times in the red zone this year twenty one
times team and reached rend zone twenty one times. The
opposition had scored so far zero The defense Stoops to
a new level on that one that was low, That

(02:01:40):
was low. It would have been nice if I would
have delivered it cleanly. And uh one final one Dana
White letting people know Connor McGregor the same. They're looking
for a rematch for kabeb in a not so stunning
I can. I'm just like Don King. I just don't
have the crazy hair of Don King. Don't worry about
the mess, just worry about how we can make more money.

(02:02:02):
They should fight in a in a ring that is
like the Starbucks cup in a circle. And I got it,
I got I got it. Remember the prison that Bain
escaped from down underground? Yes, yes, that's and they should
be surrounded by those types, those types and put it

(02:02:23):
on international pay per view. What do you think about that? Dan,
I haven't seen the movie, so I don't know that
Dark Knight get out there that? Yeah, how about that?
You haven't seen Dark Knight Rises? No, I saw the
one with the Heath Ledger as the Joker. Yeah it
was great. Yeah, I saw that one. I haven't seen
the other ones. Wow. Christopher Nolan's kind of a movie

(02:02:47):
making genius. Does you mean yeah? I mean ms, I
mean Christopher Nolan. I say no to Nolan. I put
the Nolan Nolan. I mean Doctor Returns was the best
of the three. But yeah, right, it was good. Um, yes,
but what do you think about? I like, I like
the idea of putting it in like a Russian gulag, right,
or somewhere like in the middle of nowhere, put him

(02:03:07):
in the desert, like surrounded by crocodiles. Or yeah, like
like so like surrounded by crocodiles. Put him in the
astronaume like U C l A. And Houston played with fans.
Oh no, I want to, I want everything. I want to.
It's like somewhere sequestered. Uh. The Press is brought to
you by Granger for for Safety and Industrial Supplies. Grangers
got your back. Visit Granger dot com. Joel clap Tomorrow

(02:03:30):
is Texas back, Texas back. It feels like nobody's gonna
beat no ture Dame. But there to day they might
lose somebody and then who else? Did you say? Oh,
Daniel Jeremiele join us. We'll try not to make it
all charger talk. Don't worry, we'll talk about other teams,
talk about the teams. Apparently everybody's supposed to go for
it now, right, that's the go for it, go for it,

(02:03:51):
go for defense was Sublitz. Every play and the offense
supposed to go for it. Sometimes you don't go for it.
And in a not so stunning date, Rich Hill has
given up a couple of runs after fifty pitches. More
of that to come. Stug Gotlife Show, Fox Sports Radio,
