eight pm Eastern. One of the questions is what will
be the first Fox four twenty five pm Eastern America's
game of the week. The options are Cowboys, Giants, Packers, Saints, Bears, Steelers, Packers,

(00:45):
Ravens or Cowboys Patriots. Colin, what do you think? I
don't It's funny because with Aaron Rodgers trade discussions, I
would think you'd put Tom Brady and tamp in there.
I know he's gonna be a buccaneer. Isn't it weird?
Like if if Aaron got traded and your Fox, what
do you do with all the Packer game? I mean
because imagined the schedule. You've got all these four o'clock

(01:07):
Packer games, right, and NBC's got at least three Packer games,
and then their Amazon's got one on Thursday and Monday
night football. Packers are now one of the two or
three like best watches in the league. Well, what happens
if Aaron leaves? It hasn't changed dramatically according to what
the GM thinks about Jordan's love. Yeah, and I mean
they think about it. We got we got a big
break at Fox when Brady came over from AFC to NFC.

(01:31):
So we have the NFC games, so it's obviously great
for us. We would love to have Josh Allen and
Mahomes in our conference in Justin Herbert, but we have
Russell Wilson, and we have Tom Brady, and we have
Aaron Rodgers. We do not want to lose Aaron Rodgers.
He's a TV number. We still the Cowboys Zax back again.

(01:53):
Dey'll vie to the very end. But you'd love Philadelphia
to have their quarterback, right, you would love Aaron to
be a Packer. I mean a lot of this tough.
To be honest with you. I've been in this business
long enough you have. That's what I think about. Like
Aaron goes to the AFC, it's not good for us. Well,
Brian good Cun's getting this stuff wrapped up. Figure it
out right, Oh, Bucky Brooks, let's go fifteen. Former NFL player,

(02:18):
former NFL scout, Fox Sports analyst. But by the way,
I am very I am mister optimism. That's what I'm
known as around here. I am a glass half full guy,
and I like Urban Meyer. But if you think, if
you think you're gonna sell Tim Tebow is a tied
end to that locker room, I think I think you're

(02:39):
gonna get a bunch of eye rolls that he's gonna
put his hand in the dirt and block a defensive end.
I hope he's got a mouthpiece. I don't know, Bucky,
I don't buy it. I think it's a hard sell
inside that locker room. You're taking a job from somebody, right, Well,
I mean, I don't think it's that big of a
deal in the locker room, because let's be honest, Tim
Tebow has in place since two thousand and twelve. Most
of these guys that are in the locker room don't

(03:01):
really even remember Tim Tebow and tebow Mania. I think
the bigger thing that you have is what urban Meyer
is doing is really commonplace in the National Football League.
Every coach has a set of pet cats, guys that
come along with them. Dan Quinn when he went to
the Dallas Cowboys, brought Keyan O'Neil Demante Kazi. When Brian

(03:22):
Floyd's went to Miami Dolphins, he brings over cal van Noy.
keV Stefanski brings over Case Keenum when he's with the
Cleveland brown So this isn't uncommon for coaches to bring
along players that they know, that they trust, that they
want to kind of help jump start at the program.
The difference is Tim Tebow is nine years removed from

(03:43):
playing in the National Football League. He's playing a new position,
a position where the transition. We've seen other guys do it,
but we haven't seen guys do it in their mid thirties,
and so it won't create a big chasm in the
locker room. I think ultimately it's on Tim Tebow to
prove urban Meyer right by his performance. It is a
little different for guys that have a nine year layoff,

(04:05):
but I wouldn't have believed last year that Aldon Smith
would be able to come back and play for the
Cowboys and contribute after a four plus year layoff. We've
seen guys like Dion Jordan come in and contribute. I'm
not seeing that Tim Tebow is going to make an impact,
would be a contributor for the Jaguars. I'm just saying
that we on the outside are probably making it a
bigger deal than those on the inside. We're receiving. Well,

(04:27):
Aldon Smith was gone half the time, and he was
at one point a great player at a position Tim
wasn't even good at quarterback. I guess my takeaway is
this is that the media is going to ask Tim
Tebow questions. Do you worry sometimes as a team you
don't have control. Oh you want to control storylines and

(04:47):
they go sideways and you can't control them. Would you
be concerned that in Jacksonville, which is Gator territory, the
media is just going to pounce on it and they're
gonna make stuff more uncomfortable than it he needs to
be for Trevor Lawrence. Yeah, I don't think it to
be uncomfortable for Trevor Lawrence because Tim Tebow is not
coming in to be a quarterback. It's another guy that

(05:08):
is bringing attention to Jacksonville. Jacksonville has been desperate for
attention for a long time. So then you have Urban Meyer,
you have Trevor Lawrence and Tim Tebow. They're destined to
get a bunch of headlines. But I don't think this
is going to be a major distraction. I think, if anything,
all of the pressures on Tim Tebow to prove it right.
I think when you're Irban Meyer and you've had someone

(05:28):
who has been very, very essential to your success, like
Tim Tebow was for him, I think you do want
to pay it for it and give your guy every
opportunity to kind of make a team. But I don't
think this is really a big deal. I think it's
more of a big deal on the outside because Tim
Tebow is polarizing in the locker room. I don't think
it's a big deal at all. So Brian Flores again yesterday,

(05:50):
back to it. And we know last year multiple players
on the Dolphins went to the Miami Herald and said,
we don't buy two We watch him in practice every day.
When does I saw the Bears defense last couple of
years didn't give quite the effort, they weren't as good,
and it's not because Khalil Mack got lazy or lost
his skills. It is hard to sell Trubisky when you're

(06:13):
trailed by ten starting the fourth. It is hard to
sell that to the defense on the sideline one more
stop when the defense is saying one more stop. I mean,
it's three and out territory. How long before a coach
can lose some of the respective players when he keeps
trying to sell something that anybody can see isn't good. Well,

(06:35):
hold on that, because you're seeing we can see that too,
isn't good. Two hasn't played enough for us to make
a judgment on whether he's good or not. You can't
make a decision and a determination on a quarterback until
about thirty to thirty two games. Oh boy, you need
plenty of stars to be able to tell whether a
guy can play or not. And so I think the
big thing that the Miami Dolphins have done, They've done

(06:56):
what Aaron Rodgers wants done. They did what Carson wish
wish would have been done. They got all the distractions
out the room. Fitzpatrick is no longer there. They built
this team around two a tong about Lord. They're giving
him every opportunity to really step into the QB one role. Ultimately,
how Tour performs is going to determine whether this team
should be confident in him or not. But let's remember

(07:19):
this two a tongue about Lord was coming off of
basically a career threatening injury. It typically takes two years
for guys to get back to form from an ACL.
I think we should give him the benefit of the
doubt and let's just wait and see what he looks
like this year. I don't believe the Miami Dolphins have
lost confidence in him, because remember, he hasn't really played
a lot. He didn't get a full off season. I

(07:41):
think they have plenty of confidence that he is going
to be the guy that they drafted him to be. Yeah, well,
justin Herbert didn't get much of an off season either.
In five minutes in I was like, yeah, that's the guy.
I mean, at some point my eyes tell me the truth.
Like Herbert five minutes, I'm like, Okay, yeah, he didn't
have an off season either. I mean, I don't know it.
You know, we got a history Obama quarterbacks getting to

(08:02):
the NFL and the receivers aren't as open. I mean,
at some point it's hard. He's small, doesn't have a
big arm, has to have to play perfectly designed, doesn't
make stuff happen with his feet. I mean, if you're like,
if you start the year four and four and Buffalo
seven and one, isn't that a hard sell? In the rooms?
How he plays the pizza, how he prepares, and how

(08:24):
he works, A lot of the confidence will come from
the kid, having known the kid, having watched him from
high school to college or whatever. He's an ultimate leader.
He's a great competitor, and people will take shots at him,
and they've taken shots at him, I would say unfairly
based on how he's played or how he was supposed
to play coming in. But he's a rookie and gas
progress at different levels. I will say this, typically, when

(08:45):
you draft a player, you give that player every opportunity
to fail out of the position, particularly when's the first
round pick. And as a quarterback, we've seen people give
Sam Donald the benefit of the doubt after three years,
so I think, to a tongue about Load certainly deserve
the benefit of the doubt. He was six and three
as a starter. He did flash some good things. Everyone
wants to see the quarterback that can come right in

(09:07):
the league and put the team on his back. More
times than that. When gas come into the league, they
come in occupying a managerial role before they graduate into
a role where they can be the playmaker. I think
we need to give him time to see if he
can ultimately become the playmaker. So Green Band Aaron Rodgers
are trapped. Green Bay's GM says Jordan loves quote got

(09:31):
a long way to go. I don't want to hear that.
That's not what I want to hear. I mean when
you see a long and by the way, they own
Aaron'd rights for three years, so he can't just retire.
When you hear a long way to go for a
kid that had thirty two college starts, that's kind of
an alarming sentence, isn't it a long way to go?

(09:53):
I don't think it's alarming, because what you're trying to
do is you're trying to really play kate to your
very sensitive quarterback one and Aaron Rodgers who so sensitive
that when Jordan's love was drafted, it really irked him
and he can't get over it. A year later, this
is a guy that just wont an MVP, and he's
worried about the backup quarterback, or the mere presence of

(10:14):
the backup quarterback drives him to the point where he
doesn't want to play. I think what Brian Goodacus is
doing is he's trying to repair the relationship with the
starting quarterback, and because Aaron Rodgers has acted out in
a very passive aggressive sense where everyone else is carrying
his water, he is trying to make sure that the
message that's being conveyed to the public is one that

(10:34):
a Aaron you don't have to worry about it. You're
the starting quarterback. This is still your team. But we
needed to draft a young quarterback to give us an
opportunity to have a peaceful transition into the next phase
of the Packers organization's life at the position. And so
I think Brian Goodacus has maybe overselling the fact that

(10:55):
Jordan Love has a ways to go to make sure
that Aaron Rodgers is very comfortable annoying. Hey, you're going
to be our quarterback for the next few years. Sounds
like you've turned on Aaron Rodgers a little bit. That's
what it sounds like. Look, I haven't turned on them,
but I mean, my goodness, like now, with quarterbacks, we
can't bring anybody in. Every other position is a very
competitive position where they don't ask you, hey, we're going

(11:17):
to bring your backup in. We're gonna bring a young
development of quarterback in. I think, if anything, what we've
seen quarterbacks are very sensitive, from Carson Wentz to Aaron
Rodgers too, even when Tom Brady maybe nudge Jimmy Garoppolo out.
The quarterback position is unlike any other position. But if
you don't have one, we criticize you for not having

(11:38):
one in the pipeline. It really puts general managers in
a bad situation because if you bring one in as
the next guy, the guy that is currently holding position
bristles at the fact that, oh, I may not be
the guy three or four years from now. All quarterbacks
want a lifetime guarantee that they can be the starting quarterback,
and the NFL doesn't work like that. Bucky Brooks, Fox

Joy Taylor with the news. Turn on the news. This
is the herd Line News. Do you like rankings? I
like what rankings? Oh yeah, I love them, love ranking.
USA today release their rankings of the starting quarterbacks for
the twenty twenty one NFL season, and they were broken
up into six categories. Well they do, okay, USA Today

(12:42):
to this six? I don't think there are six categories
at quarterbacks? What are they? All right? Well, they started
with elites, which is the Chiefs, the Bucks, the Packers,
the Seahawks, the Ravens, and the Bills. Okay, so that's Mahomes,
Brady Rogers, Russell Wilson, Lamar Jackson, and Josh Allen. So
that's their elite quarters elite, all right, bar any of those.

(13:04):
I don't think Lamar's quite there, but he wins a lot,
so yeah, I don't know. I feel differently about Russell
wils I don't like putting Russell Wilson and Lamar Jackson
the same category. Okay, so maybe you'd bump them down
to their next category, very good, which is the Cowboys, Rams,
Falcons and Titans. I don't know if I'd put Ryan
Tannehill in very good. I think Ryan Tannehill had a

(13:26):
great coordinator. I don't think i'd and I would you
put Lamar in this category? I would put Lamar in
this category, Matt Stafford in this category, Justin Herbert in
this category. Matt Ryan's close to this category, not quite
but close. Next is solid. These are sophisticated titles. Killers, Niners, Vikings, Patriots, Lions, Raiders,

(13:49):
and Bears, What Time Out? Andy Dalton's in the same
category as as Cam Newton, Garoppolo Bend. Now, this is Nanelle,
no Jared Goff. Okay, so what what's the next level?
The next one is ascending, which is where Justin Herbert
is ascending Justin Herbert, Los Angeles, Charters, the Browns, the Cardinals,

(14:14):
and the Bengals. Yeah, but you just went from good
to a you know, like ascending is why do I
have to move to a different genre? Can't we just
go are you good now? And not like adjectives to Okay,
So unproven Jacksonville, Mimi, Eagles, Panthers and Jets, USA Today's

(14:34):
unproven quarterbacks Darnold Zach Hurts to Trevor Okay, again, I
don't know are we ranking? I thought it was the
tears of how good you are? Now? Not these are
the rankings. And then finally shaky Washington football team Colts, Broncos, Saints, Giants,
and Texans. No, Deshaun Watson's not shaky. The franchise is

(14:57):
he's not. This this list we don't know. But yeah, yeah,
this list doesn't. Okay, so you don't like there, you know,
I mean, Deshaun Watson's not shaky. Deshaun Watson's great. The
organization shaky. Well, maybe we'll do Collins rankings sometimes week.
There's not six tiers. There's like, it's that tears, it's categories.

(15:18):
How about this? You carry a team, you're good enough
to carry a team. Team has to carry you. Two categories.
You want to do that, but I need to throw
it ascending, devolving, it's not good. But at tacks right
off step sister cousin, it's like a it's just love.
They were thought they were interesting adjectives to describe each

(15:41):
of them. I thought that was a hot mess of
a list. I just am lost. Just how about good
enough to carry a team and not good enough? But
you don't want like we don't know if you're not
good enough, because I would still be not good enough.
How about the way the USA today? USA today, you
can carry a team. You can carry luggage to the airport.
Forget about the team. You could carry water to a plant.

(16:04):
I like ted Lasso is better than waffles. And this
guy's no book. It's like, where are we going with
a list? It's so. The Dolphins rebuild seems to be
nearing an end. Head coach Brian Flores was on Peter
King's Football Morning in America and he seems pretty comfortable
with the roster moves they've made in recent years. He said,

(16:25):
the guys we got in nineteen, the guys we've got
in twenty, the guys we've got in twenty one, that
we get in this draft. That's the team, you know
what I mean. That's a team moving forward. As we
move forward, that's going to be the crux or the
big chunk of our team. They'll be the reason why
we make noise or don't make noise. Well, we don't
know if the draft picks can play, so he could
be right by October tenth. Like, I still feel they're rebuilding.
Their only win over a playoff team was the Rams

(16:46):
last year, and that's when they had a buy and
the Rams were in a short week, traveled east and
played the early game. That was their only win. Well,
I think as far as the chunk of the team,
so I think he's right about that. Like the core
of the team I feel like is set. We know
their defense was. Let me rank the Dolphins based on
how the USA Today would do it. They're ascending and

(17:06):
they're good, but they're pretty solid. But I'm not sure
that's the USA Today ranking of the Dolphins. How about this,
The rebuild, if this draft works, appears to be over
except at quarterback. I think, well, yeah, I think the
rebuild is determined actually on last year's draft. If two
doesn't work, then they're still in a rebuild. The guys

(17:27):
who they have brought in over the last three years
will still be the core part of their team, but
they are still in a rebuild if they don't have
the quarterback. DeShawn Watson's not shaky. What was going on
with that? I was not prepared for your reaction to that.
I should have organized that better. So Lakers have been
the front runner to the finals, but lately there's been

(17:47):
some doubt. Obviously with the absence of Lebron NBA Champ
Rashid Wallace is part of the group that thinks LA
might be in some trouble without the King. LBJ is
definitely the gloom for that team. And I'm not disrespecting
a d I think he's a great player. He's definitely
deserved all the accolades he had and he's gotten. But
they're definitely gonna need LBJ. If they want to go

(18:08):
ahead and go back to back, they're gonna need LBJ.
We all knew that. Yeah, I mean, I don't think
it's any disrespects Anthony Davis at this point to say
that if Lebron is not out there unhealthy, the Lakers are.
You need Lebron's leadership, not just his game, You need
his leadership. Yeah, I mean they're two and two in
Lebron's most recent absence, ten and fifteen without him in
their seventh in the West, one and a half game

(18:29):
behind the Blazers. They might have to participate in the
play in tournaments. By the way, you have to face
the Warriors. Everybody's saying who the Warriors. Lakers should be
scared of the Warriors and Steph Curry. The Warriors are
a tiny team. I'm gonna have Lebron, a d and
Andre Drummond. The Warriors are not if if he If
Lebron is healthy, it's still up in the air whether
he's gonna play tonight. He was a full participant at

(18:50):
practice yesterday, but Vogel wouldn't reveal if Lebron will be
available tonight. That's why they don't like the idea of
playing tournaments. I would tend to agree with you, but
it's a play in. Warriors are It's not a seven
game series with everyone healthy. I take the Lakers over
the Warriors. I would too, but I do think that
they want to avoid. You know, I don't bet a

(19:11):
lot of NBA games. I'll make you a deal right now.
I'll make my biggest NBA bet ever if Lebron comes
back and is healthy and they face the Warriors in
a play in game. I'm gonna bet the most I've
ever bet on an NBA game on the Lakers because
the whole world's like, oh, Staff, they're timy. It's not

(19:33):
a seven game series. Time to put up her, shut up.
Kept Joey with the news. Well that's the news, The
Herd line news that whole. Bucky's like, you gotta give
a two a thirty six starts, but Buck, he's being

(19:53):
very generous. Generous, Yeah, thirty six starts. I would also
push back on the quarterbacks not being comfortable with bringing
new guys in the last two times we've seen guy
teams be aggressive and bringing quarterbacks in too soon. It
hasn't really worked out for them. Tom Brady push Jimmy
Garoppolo out and now we've got Jordan Love. Three word

Move to net suite, one of a kind financing netsweet
dot com, slash heard h ard. So the draft and
free agency are over. The schedule comes out tomorrow. That
gives us a real sense of where we're at in
the NFL. Yesterday we did AFC, Today we do NFC.

(21:22):
I believe, when forced to be succinc you can describe
virtually anything in three words. Here we go new Micah linebacker.
It's called a mic linebacker, but Micah Parsons is their
latest star from Penn State. They didn't really need a linebacker,
and they drafted two, Micah Parsons and Jabriel Cox. They

(21:44):
already have Jalen Smith, Layton Vanderesh, and they brought Kean
O'Neill over from Atlanta. So it is a crowded linebacking Corps,
but he is probably the most talented defensive player in
the draft. Philadelphia Eagles hurts to watch Jalen Hurt's four
career starts at quarterback, one win, three losses. They hired

(22:06):
Nick Ceriani as coach. I don't feel good about it.
They spent the least amount of money by any team
in free agency, so they didn't exactly give him a
fair shot. The good news, it's a bad division. New
York Giants. Just judge Jones, Daniel Jones. Okay, Joe, Judge
is fine. This is about Daniel Jones. He now has

(22:29):
Kyle Rudolph and Evan Ingram at tight end. He now
has Kenny Galladay at wide receiver with Sterling Shepherd, Darius
Layton and rookie Gadarius Tony. He's got se Quon Barkley
at running back. This is actually an extensive, a deep
reservoir of offensive talent. It is on now Daniel Jones

(22:50):
to win some games. Washington Football team not right fits.
Ryan Fitzpatrick nineteen seventeen years only quarterback, actually only player
in NFL history with five thousand passing attempts without ever
playing in a playoff game. He's a little bit of
a gunslinger. In fact, he's a lot a bit of
a gunslinger. It's an odd fit. I think if you

(23:13):
had like a Teddy Bridgewater who played it safe, that
defense could win you ten games. I think Fitzpatrick can
play it in some games and play it out of
even more Green Bay Packers, cheese and wine. Boy, what
an offseason. Aaron's not happy, The fans aren't happy. He's
gone public, he's gone scorched earth. They added Amari Rodgers

(23:39):
at wide receiver. Probably should have done that last year
in the second round, not getting a backup running back.
But it's just been a lot of noise this offseason.
Minnesota Vikings your fourth cousin, Kirk cousins fourth year again,
seven and thirteen career record against teams with a winning record.

(23:59):
Excuse me seven and thirty one, not seven and thirteen. Listen,
it's low ceiling, Kirk. I think there's a reason the
Vikings were interested in justin fields. They have tremendous wide
receiver and tight end talent. They have a star running
back in Dalvin Cook. Their offensive line they've worked on
that the last two or three drafts. So if they don't,

(24:21):
if they don't get to the playoffs. This is not
on the coach, it's not on the front office. They
got plenty of talent. Detroit Lions no more. Matt's Matt
Stafford gone, Matt Patricia gone, there's Dan Campbell. And I
thought their draft was interesting. They did address their offensive
line with Pine Seul. I like that, probably their best

(24:43):
offensive line in a lot of years. Not that part.
I like Chicago Bears quarterback one or quarterback two. Only
active NFL franchise without a quarterback who's ever thrown for
four thousand plus yards or thirty TV passes in a
S season. That has been their liability. They've had great players,

(25:05):
they've had great coaches, they can't get the quarterback right.
So they've moved up to draft justin fields. It's a
big swing, but I kind of liked it. Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
Brady's bunch returns all twenty two starters back, all coordinators back,
all coaches back. That just never happens. Usually you want

(25:26):
to add a little in energy, but they just get
along so well. And the leaders on the team, Lavante David,
you know, Mike Evans, Brady, you know what you can
tell when guys are good guys when they get along
with somebody quickly, like they wanted it to work down

(25:46):
in Tampa. They weren't jealous of Brady. Those guys wanted
it to work. They were happy to have him, and
it worked instantly. New Orleans Saints an up hill battle
least amount of cap room despite not adding any notable
free agents. Jason Taysom Hill. By the way, he's talented,

(26:07):
but he has four touchdown passes in fifty three career games.
And by the way, for all you that think I
hate Tebow, I don't think Taysom Hill's a franchise quarterback
and he's way better than Tebow. Carolina Panthers Sam's new rule.
Sam Darnold, twenty three year old, Hey bye. If he
fails here, it's on Sam. They got good players Chuba

(26:29):
Hubbard and Christian McCaffrey at running back. I'm in Atlanta
Falcons flying with Ryan. Matt Ryan is really expensive. The
organization hired an offensive coach and they're going to roll
with Matt Ryan. I agree with their draft pick of
Kyle Pitts. They're going with Matt San Francisco forty nine

(26:49):
ers nighting Sir Lance a lot Trey Lance three hundred
and eighteen college pass attempts, few as by any quarterback
drafted in the first round in forty years. Good luck
with that Los Angeles raft from Golf Jared's gone should
be didn't throw well under Darress, Sean mcbrahm's the franchise
tired of him. Arizona Cardinals walked and off season JJ Watt.

(27:14):
Cardinals now have the top two players in Saxon's twenty
twelve Chandler Jones and j J. Watton. We're at a time,
