Chat he can't guard me chat chat. Look at this chat.
There's a bent. This is me on my video.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Game because I saw the kids do it. So what
the kids do is their playing their video game. But
while they're beating you in NCAA Football, which is the
new game out that hasn't been out since twenty fourteen,
they're telling the chat that you.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Can't play them.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
So you're playing like a twelve year old that's streaming
you getting beat And the whole time they're talking to
the people in their chat you.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
They don't know it's me. I kind of try to
keep myself.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
I'm gonna I tweet like your handle. I don't even
know what your hand on a get handle or something.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
I don't want people knowing that me because they're like, chat,
this dude can't guard me, And then the reality hits
me that I really can't guard them.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
I'm like, very, very bad at the game. It's so bad,
my gosh, And.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
I know that really frustrates you a lot.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Oh my god, it frustrates me so bad, so bad
because I know they're young. I know it's like a
child beating on me. But Ben, back to what I
was saying, Louist, get off Luise, Now.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
You gotta get off hey.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
All the days in the show, all the days in
the show, this is me and Ben creating something for
you guys, and sometimes it gets a little crazy because
Luis wants to be in the show at times. But anyhow, Ben,
I'm getting my ass kicked in college football and kids
are bullying me in the chat.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
So now I've.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Kind of picked up on it. I hear it so
much that I start saying it in my everyday life.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
And so that's where you need to play like someone older,
like a Chris Pendleton who's not as good at video games.
You could, Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
You know what's crazy. Chris Pendleton is here right now,
and he told me. He goes t helping ascaring good morning,
and he goes. I said, okay, He said, I want
you to tell him good morning to the best high
school coach in the entire country.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
I go, well, that's a damn insult.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
He goes, Why I go, because Ben's the best coach
in the entire country.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
You know what I'm saying. Been, You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
I appreciate flatter man. It's Chris any good at video games?
Are now?

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Dude, he knows he's good. He's a college coach. They
don't have time anymore. So like you beat up on him.
Oh my god, it's so fun too.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
It's so frustrated. It's so frustrated.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
I love I love beating people that aren't very good.
And I can tell these kids love beating on me
because I'm not very good. All right, Ben, we got working, guys.
Well up to a brand new episode of Fucking the Champ.
I'm Daniel Cormier that's been asking Fucky Ben.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
What's been going on? Man?

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Hey, your summer of doom seems to be coming to
an end, while mine is still rolling. You.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Boy's tired, but I'm tired.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
Man. You gotta Scott. I'm I I am gonna take
notes to the schedule better next summer because I was
traveling too much, worked a little too much. But my
next handful of weeks are pretty easy. So I'm just
out there cutting stuff on the disc golf course, having
a good time and talking to you.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
I saw you with your shirt off the other day.
I was like, yo, you have a six pack.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
I stopped being dessert. I told you that that is
the craziest thing that you look like that.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
I don't think you look like that in college. This
dude looks ripped. I was like, holy smokes, look at
been Ascered Luisi will now take a picture have been
in his practice room the other day and put it
as a billboard.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
Fun. When the college kids come back, well the college
plus older kids come back and work out, it's great.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
It's absolutely crazy.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
All right, Ben, Well, we got to get to the show.
But Michael Chandler and Connor McGregor are going.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
I know, listen, listen.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
I know, I know when you're tired of it, but listen,
you can be tired of it. And I'm tired of
it too. But then when we get the call and
they say, well what about this, and I go, well,
we're done, We've done this. But then they start to
add the layers. Right now you got Sturgis.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Involved, What a.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Sturgis for the love of what?

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Now you got Sturgis involved. Now you've got Donald Trump
getting attacked. Now you got him deciding to fight Max Holloway. Dude,
this never ending saga. It never stops. It is like
this show that you watch on TV that just keeps
giving and gives me.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
It will stop, It really won't stop. I'm gonna give
Chandler a new idea. I'm gonna give him a new
idea because because he has been so good the uf
he would told you this. Chandler should say, just give
me someone who sucks, like not a good guy, maybe
maybe not in the UFC guy, Go find me someone else.
And just he just shot boom knocking dudes out, like
like Mike Tyson back in the day. Just give him

(06:24):
a bum let him knock the bum out. He calls
out Connor McGregor. Next month, give him another bum boom,
another knockout, calls out Connor McGregor, and he just gets
to keep staying active, beating up bums while he wents McGregor,
because we don't know how long this is gonna last.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Dude, like but but so, my thing is this, right,
I'm watching this whole saga unfold, and I watched Michael
Chandler do something that I am so happy that he
finally did.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
He goes what you know what, guys, You're right. I
should have did this a while ago. He has done.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
I'm not worried about him anymore. I'm moving on. He
should have done this a long time ago, and he
did it in a clever way, saying he's in the
first stage of seven in terms of grief.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
His career being over. That was pretty good.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Look, Michael Chandler was pretty cool, and he said that
I liked it anyhow. He just said, I'm moving on.
I'm done.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
I like that.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
I actually liked it. I like it too. Can I
ask you, though, since uh, he's your buddy, why does
Connor I mean, I know, I know he got beat
up my buddy. Let it go? No no, no, no, Kabeb,
Why does he hate Okay so much? I mean Donald
Trump just goes off the cup and says Kabeb he's
his favorite fighter, which is hilarious. You know, there's no
I did. If you said, does Donald Trump know who

(07:41):
Kabebe is? I was like, probably not, maybe, but probably not.
You know, but then when you.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Find out that Kobeeb is Donald Trump's saving fighter ever,
were you surprised?

Speaker 4 (07:50):
Yes, yes, that that definitely I didn't expect. Well, because
Trump is a boxing guy doesn't really understand the grappling stuff.
You know, kuld Beebe was very grappling heavy. I figure
it would be honestly like a Connor McGregor, a show
showy flashman that has some fancy knockouts where you know
there maybe Trump does, but maybe he sits down Connor off.

(08:12):
It set them off, what I mean, I don't know
that's why it could be so much like I know
he got your ass beat Connor, but let it go
and so like I mean, for God's sakes, like there's
only so much you can hate someone like.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
He just despises him, despises know what's crazy? Do you
think so.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
He was gonna lose the election because of it? Well, yes,
I'm not gonna find.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
The tweet he did not see absolutely something like the
election is going to be very close, and now this
is going to lose him the election.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
I'm gonna go find it for you.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
You're so crazy.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Let this happened, brosto know he did that thing where
he got hammered. He must have been he must have
been on something. He deleted all of them. I can't
find any of them.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Okay, so let me ask you this. Do you think
it would serve I believe.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
I believe that if Kabeb said I'm fighting today, Connor
will go I'd fight him. That would be no hold
There would be no holdback of him fighting Kabeb again
because of that disdained.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Form, that dislike form. Why can't he develop that for Michael,
the guy that he's supposed to fight.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
I have no idea. I'm so disappointed. I wanted to
read this tweet to you, and Connor deleted. I'm really
hard right now. You're lying, Ben, hold On.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
There's no deleting tweets.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
There's no deleting tweets. Okay, hold On, I'm almost there.
Let's see this is one of them. I was actually wrong.
A couple hundred million he is not. He is worth.
So that was talk about Donald Trump's work, not multi b
I would have thought USA only would be the mentality
here and what I would want to see out of
my president person. Only to pick a retired inbred fighter

(10:02):
from Degas in Russia who has three million events only
to his name is astounding over all the American fighters
that have backed him. It's a shocking decision. He was
caught on the spot. That won't go unnoticed on the roster.
This presidential ray is very tight right now.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
More so, now, are you kidding me?

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Come on, man, thats so harressed. I mean, I don't
even know how to respond to that. That's a little
bit that's that would seem to be reaching.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
Connor is so petty. Connor is so petty he might
fly to America that day and vote the other way
just just because he's petty. And they're gonna allow that.
They're not checking ideas. They're like, wait, don't you coon McGregor,
aren't you Irish? Like nah, he just looks like, man,
there's gonna there's gonna vote. He's gonna vote for Kamali.
Like damn. Donald Trump said he liked ka be Kamala. Check.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Oh my god, oh my god.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
He's so stupid.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
You don't believe that I don't believe that. So hey man,
so maybe maybe we've been missing it.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Maybe all Mike has to do is Mike, Mike actually
knows Donald Trump. I think I think he met him.
I think I've seen him meeting Trump. Maybe he should
have did.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
Something like that.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
I don't know what he has to do to get
this guy to fight him. But how in the world
are we still talking about this?

Speaker 2 (11:21):
There's still no date.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
I got another one for you. You ready for another tweet?

Speaker 2 (11:24):
No, bro, please stop, you're figuring this is this is?

Speaker 4 (11:28):
He deleted them. Okay, campaign ending decision period. Monkey from
the inbred Moullains of Vegastan is your favorite UFC in
an American company and president Fighter Wow Abysmo.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
He he hates, but he just hates Kabee.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
Hey.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
Last weekend, Hey, let me ask you this. Let me
ask you this last weekend could be Tony Ferguson retired.
You remember how bad it was between Kabev and Tony Ferguson.
But then afterward Kavin said, I wish him the best
in retirement. His life is just starting now and all
this can can we see this with Connor and Kobeb
too at the end at the end of come.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
That's what healthy people do. Healthy people let it go.
Just let it go whatever happen.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
You think those guys will kuld be even Connor.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
Connor no let me kuld be. But I don't. I
don't know, Kambe. He's your buddy, So you tell me,
you know they are not letting it go. Over it.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
It's deep rooted. But it's deep rooted on both. He
doesn't like this guy, bro, they don't like each other.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
This is like, this is crazy. It's like it really is.
It's deep, it's very deep. But I think the closest
thing you would get to resolution in that is again
Connor beating Mike and then earning a championship fight against
Islam Macha right then you then Kabib could probably try
to find some comfort in that, and Connor could try
to actually find redemption and trying to beat the guy

(12:52):
that became the guy.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
Right. So there's like stories there. I don't know that
it happens because Michael Chandler can't seem to get uh
a date.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
I just but again, I know Ben and I go
off on the tangent at times, guys and we just
talk because we haven't talked to each other in a
couple of weeks. I've been traveling. But uh, I just
love that Mike is saying, the hell with this man.
I'm done. I cannot keep living my career waiting for
this guy that doesn't seem to want to engage with
me inside of an octagon. He doesn't want to do

(13:21):
a sanctioned fight with him. And but man Sturgis, and dude,
what is he doing on a mo What is he
doing at a.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Place where the largest motorcycle round.

Speaker 4 (13:29):
Honestly, that's kind of I mean, he must have a
security team because like showing that's a's that well known
with I mean, there's probably a lot of dudes that
got shanks, and.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Uh, it's a Sturgis.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
Seems like a party that gets a little bit out
of control, and they look like they.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Have some sketchy character. Let's just say some sketchy characters.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
Some sketchy characters.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Oh that's Sturgis ride motorcycles, So yeah, kind of goes
out there.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Is Hey, there's not much more in the world.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
Then, like that is more intimidating than like a group
of guys on motorcycles.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Why is that?

Speaker 1 (14:00):
Like, why have we been taught to be like so
weary of people, Kate. You know, Kane and I used
to ride our motorcycles all the time.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
We go to like.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Restaurants, idycle dude, Me and Kan would ride our motorcycles.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
Motorcycle.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
I was like, all, you know, I was all into it.
Then I had a vest. I didn't I would not,
but I would wear the vest. I would wear the vest.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
And I got a video of me actually learning on
Cane's bike and I burned my leg against the damn
pike because I had on shorts and not supposed to
wear shorts. I didn't know anyhow, But bro, we would
like pull up to like restaurants or random places we'd
be riding, and they'd be like, whole bunch we ride
motorcycles cause we go to this place called Phil's Fish Market,
and uh, you kind of like just kind of.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
We're on motorcycles. There are motorcycles. My whole life, I've
been taught that there are motorcycle gangs.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
But then you're like kind of like, well a motorcycle gangs.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
There are, but you But the only place I saw
it was on Team so TV.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
It's all like bad, yeah, but then we walk up
and they're always like.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Yo, DC and Kane Velaskas like the coolest thing. Motorcycle games,
motorcycle gangs would be like what the King Alaskans I
was already got.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
It was like the coolest thing.

Speaker 4 (15:16):
I was like, that's hilarious. I would I would if
I saw Cannon motorcycle, I would. I'd be a little nervous.
You know, he looks intimidate. If I saw you, I
thought you just you know, O ride want to give
me a hug or something?

Speaker 1 (15:30):
Yeah, where did this guy get a fucking like what's
going on here? The problem is it kind of made
my back hurt because it's sitting down kind of like
you know what.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
I've never rune by motorcycle. I have read a third
bite twice crashed both times. They're not for me. But
the ones where Daniel this may like the ones where
the arms are way up here. I feel like my
shoulders wud go to sleep and like, how do you
do that?

Speaker 1 (15:53):
The one that I my motorcycle is so big it
feels like I'm driving a car. It doesn't even feel
like she has awesome all right, Ben, so hey, two
weeks ago. I know it's been a while, but oh
look at this.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Look what I got. I needed a new pop socket.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
So this is my pop socketre But anyway, Oh I
do have motorcycle pictures.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
I'll send it to you.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
But anyhow, two weeks ago, Tom Asked one called out
John Jones. Then I thought he kind of missed the
opportunity to like really hammer it home. It was kind
of niceness call out. But then he doubles down and
goes back and goes, I'm not doing anything but a
true UFC championship fight. John just continues to kind of

(16:40):
ignore him. He should write Tom Asked should stand in
firm on I want to be the champion.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
I'm not doing nothing else.

Speaker 4 (16:47):
Yeah, you know what, I almost feel like maybe John's
got some third on DANEA or something, because Dana generally
would not put up with this type of behavior. He
would say, and what this is what the UFC has
been founded on where Bock was it is we want
the best guys to fight. We want to see who
the actual best guy is. We don't want to, you know,
waste time with shenanigans. We don't want, you know, to

(17:09):
pad records to go to forty and oh, we don't
do that that's what boxing does. In the UFC. We
put the best guys in there and we see who wins.
And so the fact that John is being I don't know,
I don't know allowed is the right term, but that
Dana is playing along and letting him in steep Bay
fight when STEVEE is gonna be close to four years

(17:30):
by the time they ever fight.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
No no, no, no, no, no, no, Steve will be forty two
years old.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
No no, I'm sorry, four years since he's had a fight.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
Four years, yes, four years, he'll be forty two years old.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
And you have this young young interim champion who he's
a beast. I mean, he smears his people, and the
fact that they won't put them in there together, and
then there's this obvious I would say good, maybe not
quite guarantee, but that John beats step A and then
says I'm done, so you know I'm gone, and then
you never get to see that. What's up?

Speaker 1 (18:04):

Hey Ben, you know what so you know like? And
I love the way you said that about Tom Askinore.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
You go, He's a beast. It was almost like reality
came like this, dude is really good. I always thought
he was.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
I thought he was good, but then I didn't think
he was like as good as he is because Michael
Bisman was telling me he's the greatest thing in the world.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
I was like, Mike, come on, dude, this is crazy.
You're talking crazy.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
I was like, you can't be that strongly in one
opinion because if it goes.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
Wrong, then you're screwed. But then it turns out he
is that good. You know what.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
No Daniel told me the other day. I'm I'm in
a England and Dan goes that I go downstairs to eat.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
I try to.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Eat really fast because I want to watch Tom ask
for no fight.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
He goes.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
By the time I got done, Curtis Blade is in
the octagon on his knees crying.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
He was like, what did I miss?

Speaker 1 (20:10):
I said, dude, the entire fight, like it literally takes
him no time to be the best heavyweights in the world.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
It's that crazy watching how good he is.

Speaker 4 (20:19):
Yes, and that's one of those things where you know,
it's funny because he's a champion now, but you would say, uh,
I would like to see him have a tough fight.
That goes five rounds because I want to say he's finished.
Let me look, let me.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
Look, everybody, No, everybody, he no one on.

Speaker 4 (20:33):
The third round with him.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
What they haven't No, they can't extend him. They can't
extend them into the longer rounds.

Speaker 4 (20:42):
Dude, I mean it's crazy. Curtis Blades a minute, Pavlovic
a minute nine, Taibura a minute thirteen. He had the
injury against Blades, yet Vulkoff three forty five, Speedback two thirty.
Like these guys, he's putting people away right away. So
I mean, part of me says, I'd like to see
him fight the full fight. Well, you want, you got
to make him fight the full fight, which.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
They can't send him. You want him to fight long fights.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
But they bro and he's getting more confident, so he's
approaching them like they don't really have a chance against him,
which again is why I want to see him fight John.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
Yeah, but don make this happen. That's why it's like
why Dana almost always presses these issues with the best guys.
It's pretty rare where he has it, you know, like
I say, as Sean and Morob, like he's making that
happen now, he let Sean fight Cheato as one fight.
But now that you know Shawn and Roberts.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
But has John ever gotten his fight or he just
goes out fight this guy because that's why I want
to fight. Otherwise he generally just fights anybody. Jones's never
been a guy to pick his opponents, so maybe.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
That's why he's getting that.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
And Steve a also right, STEVEE was a guy champion
long reigning. If there are any two people in mixed
martial arts that deserve the opportunity been to say I
want this one, I have to have this one, it
would be these guys, right.

Speaker 4 (22:04):
I mean tell I mean, I'm gonna John Jones. The
early record is like outstanding. Obviously since then he's fought
here and there. Yeah, I guess he's probably said anyone.
And you look at his early resume versus later resume.
You know that the Anthony Smith, Tiago Santos, don Rees,

(22:24):
you know, they're not legends like you know, like yet
earlier in his career, you know, when he was going
through is you know Vito rashad Leodo Quinton Shogun who
I mean, that was like a stretch where it was like.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Oh my god, he's fighting everybody. He fought after a legend,
and then he fought Gustuson.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
He fought everybody.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
It's like he fought everybody he and honestly been back
then he was pretty active, like he was if he
wasn't in trouble and.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Having to sit out, he was fighting.

Speaker 1 (22:53):
I mean he fought Olvit when I got heard he
fought Ovit, Saint pru who at the time was fighting
at a really high level. Nick Ray Is when he
fought and was fighting at a really high level, and
so was Anthony Smith. All those guys that had very
little name recognition were fighting at a high level and
he fought them.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
So maybe it is because of that that.

Speaker 1 (23:16):
Inventory, right, all that work and all that stuff he's
put in the bank.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
You can go, I need this one.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
This is the one I need, especially knowing that this
guy's crazy is tough.

Speaker 4 (23:28):
Yeah. The other one, the other one in here that
I mean, the other thing to throw in here that's
really fascinating is data does seem to love John in
the essence of that new rule came out where you
throw the twelve to six elbow, which you should have
always been able to do. Stupid I don't like that.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
Why I don't like twelve to six elbow and I
don't like soccer kicks.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
I do not want to see SoC soccer kicks.

Speaker 4 (23:49):
I actually so, I fought under soccer kick rules in
Asia with one championship. Soccer eggs are stupid because pretty
much the only time you can land them is when
the fighter it's pretty much already over right, he's already done.
It's already done. Now knees to the ground head of
a grounded opponent. That's actually useful and like say for
a headlock or other positions where your arms are tied
up and you can need them. Soccer kicks, I agree

(24:10):
with you, But why don't you like to toll the
six ground at elbow?

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Because I don't want so.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
So here's here's my thought, right Ben, Because okay, so
there's a little bit of a difference.

Speaker 4 (24:19):
Right.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
So, when I was fighting Rumble Johnson, you can't do
this like just straight up, but if you do a
little bit of an arch, it's okay, which is angle
in arch. So I was able to cut Rumble with
a like an arch and elbow, but it really did
come straight down. It was very little in terms of
not being straight up and down. I just don't want

(24:41):
anything that makes fighting look like.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
A street fight. That's it. I don't want to.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
I'm talking about like so one of the reasons John
McCain before he passed, was against fighting because he said,
it's it's it's human cock fighting. But then it would
show these like gang fights and people running around and
people on the ground and they would just kick them
in the face. You know how it happens. If we
get the soccer kicks, it starts to look like that. Again,

(25:08):
that's not good man.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
Wait, the gang members know the twelve to six elbows
out a special mothers would get.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
Anything instead of like this, and everything kind of looks clean.
I'm telling you, bro, these are my reasons I don't
like the.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
I mean, I don't feel.

Speaker 1 (25:24):
I don't care as much about twelve six elbows. But
I think the moment we start opening those rules, that
then it's going to be more and more and more,
and then ultimately.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
We'll get back to soccer kicks.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Because now only you do know that now, hands down,
starting in November is not growing anymore.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
That's perfect, it is perfect. But again that's one move.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
Back towards that they got to put a knee down.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
Then there will be something else that moves closer to that,
and then that's that's just myent.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
I listen like for a headlock position, chess rap position, uh,
maybe you're control on a side control. There's a lot
of Really it makes the fight actually work better because
there's positions where you can't hold them with your hands
and need them and then they're forced to actually move
and then a choke opens up or something else opens
up because you're allowed to need them, whereas like, uh,

(26:17):
you know, there's been a few fights in the UFC
where I have them a headlock and not me specifically,
but other people and you can't do anything because you
can't strike them because your hands.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
Are their hands down, their hands down, Yeah, yes, yeah,
So then you see them starting to try to lift
they're trying to lift a person's hands off the mat.
And when you're trying to lift them off the mat,
now you can't generate the power you need to try
to need the person.

Speaker 4 (26:39):
So yeah, let me totally distracted. What I was gonna
say with the twelve to six elbow was Dana White
is trying to get the loss removed from John's record
to make them a defeat.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
Really, you know what is going on with what is
going on with Dana and John Leingley, That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
But like what's happening.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
Lately though, because he's been he's been very adamant about
him being power one number one, Like he is going
crazy with every time somebody says that John is a
Papa Pal, he goes to his defense. I've never seen
him defend him like that before in his star career.
It's not like John just got here. John's been here
for like fifteen years. I don't think I've ever seen
him that strongly in his corner on anything.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
And Guys, here's the deal.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
If there's ever a ton where you could say that
John Jones isn't the puff number one fight in the world,
it's right now because he's so inactive, not because of
his skills, not because of his skills because and partly
because honestly, there's another thing, Ben, We really don't know
what his skills are because the last time we saw
the fight in the true fight, was in twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
Yeah, I think right twenty was when he fought.

Speaker 4 (27:43):
Domin Gras February twenty twenty was don.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
Res and then he thought to gone in twenty three.

Speaker 4 (27:48):
Yes, and you want to make an argument against him. Also,
you know, he wasn't nearly as impressive in the Anthony
Smith Thiago Santos that was a split, say Dominic Grass.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
They weren't great fights.

Speaker 4 (27:59):
They weren't as present as he had been prior to that.
And so you know, then you're going back to then
it was twenty eighteen against Gustuson when he put him out.
I mean, that's we're getting close to six years away now.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
Yes, but then but and as with most things, right,
it deteriorates your time. But we don't know.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
We don't know who John is today in a long
fight like he was before. Now he does use the
Gon fight. Then he used the gonfight as the example, saying, well,
he went up to heavyweight and he beat the most
dangerous guy.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
But I mean, you know, I.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
Thought Sarah would have fought him better, if I'm being honest,
I thought that would have been a much more competitive fight.
I was surprised that it ended in the way that
it did. So that was impressive. But again, we don't
really have much because what we do know, right, we
do know that Islamahatchev is really really good. We do
know that Bala Muhammad is really really good and getting

(28:54):
better because we see these guys competing on a consistent basins.

Speaker 4 (28:58):
Who else did they put above him?

Speaker 1 (28:59):
And it's it's Gustafson, It's it's Islam, and it's a uh,
who is it Perrera?

Speaker 4 (29:07):
Maybe is it Pereirah? That's interesting that it's interesting.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
I don't know that I put I don't I don't
think I put Pererra in front of John in terms of.

Speaker 4 (29:19):
That's not Perra Jones Mouhammad.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
I don't know that I would put Peererra in front
of him. But again, we have what we we do
have things to judge what Pererra's doing today in terms
of building a case for him being in the Palafoile
rankings like that.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
It's crazy. But I don't know why.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
John's not fighting him. I don't understand why he's not
doing it. I I will not say he's afraid of him.
I keep telling everybody he's not afraid of him, but
some people actually think that he's just a little like
I don't want to do this with him.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
I think he's afraid. I think what John really desires
to do is go out with the zebo on his record,
it appears, and he has a higher chance to lose
to Tom than he does to Steepe. And it's like, yeah, No,
one's definitely gonna say I mean, he would be so
idiot for someone ever says, oh, John fought an easy resume. No,
John's resume is it's second and none there. He's probably

(30:13):
no one who has as good as a resume as John
Jones uh in the in the UFC. And so if
he gets his last win, whether it's easy at a
hard guy, he still has a great resume and he
goes out undefeated and you know it's him and Kabid. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
But there's one thing also that I gotta say Ben
before we go, is that he fought everybody. He beat everybody,
and he's always stepped up. And honestly, he has seen
this before. Right, if there's ever been a time that
you can look at a champion that goes I don't
really want to go back into this, especially at thirty eight. No, right,

(30:48):
he's almost thirty eight years old when you've seen it,
because it was initially it was when I when I
got to the UFC, and I was smashing everybody. Oh,
Daniel might be the guy gotta beat John Jones, Right, Gustulson.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Might be everything.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
He's seen these challengers come before, had to get excited
and maybe he knows Ben what he would have to
do in order to beat this guy, because he can
beat him, But in order to beat all of us,
he had to train exceedingly hard and he had to
be really committed. And maybe at this age he just
doesn't want to do that anymore.

Speaker 4 (31:21):
Yeah, I mean that's a very very very fair take obviously,
but I still want to see it, so you're not
convincing me.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
Hey Ben, do you want to train for the Olympics again?
Do you remember how hard you trained?

Speaker 4 (31:33):
I want, I want to wrestle somebody. I know it's
not a whole tournament though, not a whole tournament.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Person, but think about that, right, Like, think about that Ben.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
At our age, if I said Ben, I need you to
train exactly as hard as you did for the Olympics
for a match, he'd be like.

Speaker 4 (31:46):
It's saying I mean, I agree with what you're saying here,
but that's where it's like, well, either you're an active
fighter or not. If you're active fighter fight and if
you're not, you're not like Connor, non active fighter. So
don't don't say you're gonna fight somebody. You're bro. You
haven't shown up and how many years? Like come on,
well we started and that's where we finished. Right. It

(32:08):
was a little person dancing on him in the bar.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
Hey, what you didn't see that video?

Speaker 4 (32:15):
Daniel. You gotta get on the internet a little bit
with video, Louise. Louise put it in the chat real quick,
Daniel Cad laughing. I can't quite tell for sure from
the video. It must be on the cell phone Louise
put in the chat. Right now.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
As as the world turns, so does every show. It
just goes back to Connor and Michael Chandler.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
You can't even.

Speaker 4 (32:39):
Ili and Max. That would have been fun. I wanted
to talk to look amazing. That was really great, and
then Sean and Morob. There's so many things going on now.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
That's what we'll do next week, guys.

Speaker 4 (32:51):
New message in the chat.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
He said he's striking he's striking out. He can't find
the video.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
Hey kind of deleted it, guys, that's another episode of
funk in the champ. For being asking, I'm Daniel Cormier.
If for Luise, Louise can't even find the video, Come on,
Louise until next time.

Speaker 4 (33:09):
