(01:54):
I'm back from UFC two ninety seven. Last week in
cam it was freaking cold there. It was cold and
I've been in a really long time. It reminded me
of when I used to go wrestling places like your
Coots Russia. It was that cold. I did nothing all
week except beat a lot of y'all in FC twenty four.
I beat so many people in FIFA last week sitting

(02:17):
in my hotel room. Absolutely y'all should be ashamed of
y'allselves for losing to me in that video game. Because
I don't quite understand soccer. We'll still good enough to
beat y'all. But while at UFC two ninety seven we
watched on Strickland Losers Championship. I will get into that
at the end. But last week when I was talking

(02:38):
to Ben Askin, him and I started to speak about
employees and the whole league text message between Dana and John,
and then I saw Chill made a video seeing the
rivalry still goes on between me and John. It was
all this, and then John responds, you know what. The
craziest thing to me about this whole situation with Jones,

(03:00):
it's like, if I could say a hundred things about
him positively, he hangs on to the negative thing. But
I wasn't talking about him directly. I was talking about
in business, and you have employees in your businesses. Sometimes

(03:21):
things go sideways with the employees and you say bad things.
When someone's being a bad employee, you say bad things.
That was my argument. But then I get heultless notifications
that Jones said, never let a bit. Let me see
what he said. Let me see what he said. Guys,
I gotta I gotta let you go. I don't want

(03:42):
to misquote him. I don't want to misquote it. It said,
never let a bad employee beat you up and take
everything from you twice. It'll leave you bitter for a
really long time. Evidently, guys, guys, even if he won
both fights, right, even if you won in that moment,

(04:04):
it doesn't change what I was saying. I'm paid to
do a job, guys. I'm paid to talk and make
try to make sense or give you guys the inside
views as to what's going on in mixed martial arts.
Even if he won both fights, it doesn't change what
happened with the fight with Dan Henderson. It doesn't change

(04:26):
whenever yet, the stuff that happened that you have C.
Two hundred, it doesn't change all those reasons why Dana
went off. If my wrestling coach in my academy is
late constantly or not showing enough to work and I
flip out on him, but then he ultimately takes the
team to the tournament and they do really well. Great,

(04:48):
but it does not change the reasons I said the
things that I said. It's that simple. It's that simple.
But in all that, guys, and this is where the
job that I am paid to do becomes a little crazy.
People take stuff from those conversations we have you and

(05:11):
I right now, the things that we're doing right now,
and they put it up and I don't think for
a second that Jones is actually taking the time to
listen to what I'm saying, because why would he? Why
would he? There's no payoff. It's a rivalry when you
get a payoff, there's no payoff. We're not gonna fight,

(05:33):
or if there is some sort of fight, it would
never be where people can see it. Right, there's no payoff,
there's no rivalry, Chail, But no matter what I said,
there will be that headline, and then he will always
go and a tack that headline, when in reality, what
I said was when a person is a bad employee,

(05:56):
it doesn't change that that you won the fights. I
also said a ton of nice things about him. I
also said that while he did all those things, the
UFC couldn't afford to get rid of him because he's
too valuable. He's too important. So while even though at
times there could be bitterness, there could be anger, there
could be all those things, he's always gonna be safe

(06:18):
because he's so important. Where was the response to that?
Where did I lie? So you're telling me that in
situations where an entire fight card gets canceled, main events
are being switched because of film drug tests, you have

(06:39):
all look his long history that I do not have
to repeat again. Does it change that in those moments
you were a bad employee. You can go from bad
and port. I mean, I've seen people in my businesses
or I got barbers in my shops who don't show up.

(07:00):
I got barbers in my shop set at times they
seem angry that people want haircuts. You're there to cut hair.
But those same guys are pretty cool guys that I
like having conversation with. So yeah, sure they might be
bad employees at that moment, but it doesn't mean that
it can't change. I never said that he's a bad

(07:22):
employee forever. I said in those moments, its probably that.
But then he responds in a way like I'm bitter.
I'm not bitter, guys, I am fine with everything. I'm
fine with everything. I'm the one that says, sure he
won the fights, because I don't think he's the only
person in my life that I fought that was on steroids.
I don't believe it. There's probably a ton of guys

(07:44):
that I fought over the course of my career that
did steroids. I just didn't beat him. I couldn't beat him,
regardless of what he was doing. I couldn't beat him
that's my reality, and I'm okay with that. Josh Burnett,
good friend of mine. He had a history of that

(08:05):
steroid abuse. We fought in Strikeforce. There's a possibility that
he was doing stuff. I don't know that as a fact.
I don't know that Bigfoot Silver wasn't on stuff back
and Strike Force when he seemed unbeatable. I don't know.
I don't know what people were on. So I fought
him and I still won. I couldn't beat that guy

(08:28):
regardless of what he was on. But again with those
guys I didn't know. With this guy, I know and
still accept that he just beat me. So there's no bitterness.
Paid to do a job, but at the end of
the day, it does not change that in those moments
he was a bad employee. This is what it is,

(08:52):
is what it is, So no chaill. There's no rivalry
because there's no payoff. There's no payoff for you guys
to see if we were gonna be scheduled to fight,
sure and make it a rival there's no payoff because
we're not fighting. Guys. Our friends are back. The Game

(09:55):

use my promo code DC t TV and save twenty
dollars off of your first purchase game Time Welcome back,
my friends. Tom aspinall seems to be giving up. He
said that he's been offered a fight with Steve A.
Steep A said no, He challenged Jones. They went back
and forth. Now he's giving up. He said he's accepted

(10:18):
his faith you know what the crazy when I listened
to that. What's crazy is when I listened to that,
it almost feels like he is being a bit sarcastic.
I'm done whatever. These guys, I respect them, They're great.
It's almost like he throws his hands up and goes on,

(10:39):
these guys will not allow me in the circle. Very
big news and surprising to me to hear that he
was offered to steep a fight because it felt like
there was gonna be nothing that they would that he
could do to break into that little triangle or to
break up that pair of guys from fighting each other.

(10:59):
But it sounds like he had made enough noise to
where they even considered it, and even considering it was
a win for Tom Aspinall the problem lies in this.
Steve A. Miochi is a wealthy man. He does well.
He's a fireman. He lives in Ohio where stuff doesn't
cost as much, and he's got a ton of money
so he can just wait for John Jones. He doesn't

(11:20):
need anything. He doesn't need anything. Most fighters would have said, yeah,
I want to fight. I want to make a couple
million dollars. Steve Ay's like, ah, I'm fine. I want
to fight the guy that I know is gonna sell,
and that's gonna be a better fight for me. Smart
by Mijochic Aspinall giving up. I don't know what else

(11:42):
he's supposed to do. I love that he took a shot.
Though they say you gotta take a shot, Aspinall took
a shot. He poked, and he prid, and he poked,
and he prod and he tried. They won't let him in.
So not all he can do is except his faith.
I get it. But he did have some pretty good
He had some good singers during that hold, him and

(12:04):
Jones going back and forth, him and MEO, chitch, you
know you had some good singers, Tom. Aspinall is evolving
in the game in the way of getting recognized, and
that will present him with more opportunities as he goes forward.
My favorite line was John does a good job of manipulating.
He goes when I call him out, He talks about

(12:24):
his accomplishments, but never really addresses the fact that I
want to fight him right now. I don't want to
fight him ten years ago. I want to fight him
five years ago. I want to fight him right now.
I love that from Tom Aspinall, and it tells me
that to Aspnall is starting to get the game. And
as a heavyweight champion, you gotta get the game because

(12:45):
at the end of the day you are considered the
baddest man on the planet, because the heaviest, biggest man
is the most dangerous and right now it's between John
Jones and Tom Aspinall, Steve Amochi. Those three, only three guys.
Only three guys are even in the conversation to be

(13:06):
considered the baddest man on the planet. And those three,
Tom Aspinall seems to have finally given up. But he
will have his opportunities and now I know that because
of this situation he's better for it. Guys. So last
weekend I was in Canada and Sean Strickland, who somehow
has become every country sweetheart, right he was Australia's sweetheart

(13:32):
when he got there. He was Canada's sweetheart when he
got there. I mean, the lotest ovations was for this guy.
And he's a guy that's very brash, unfiltered and does it,
says whatever it is he wants. The fight between him
and Drac's dupless c was extremely close. Data said he
thought Sean won. I disagree. I thought Dracus one. I

(13:55):
thought Dracus one because he got those takedowns in the
third period and in those very close round control becomes
a part of the equation that factors in to the decision,
and I believe that when he was getting those takedowns
in those even rounds, that's what separated him. But for
as hard as we are on the judges, we should
credit them whenever they do the right thing, or at

(14:17):
least they're consistent. Because in that fight, round one, it
was very clear Sean Strickland won. Everybody got in right.
In round two, it seemed very clear that Drake is
du plus C one. Everybody got in right. In round four,
it was very clear that Drake has won. Everybody got

(14:38):
in right. Round five the same thing. Everybody got it right.
Very rarely in this day and age do we get
judging where across four rounds it's universal. We should applaud
them for that because those judges knew what they were
watching and they scored it accordingly. Round three is where
the problem is. That's it. That's it. Round three determined

(15:01):
to fight. Look at how close this fight was, guys.
Two judges scored round three for Dracas, seeing that that
takedown at the end of the round or the takedowns
was enough to get him the victory, and one said, ah,
that's not quite enough, and Sean won. It took one
more judge, that's it. One more judge needed to see

(15:21):
it the other way. But again they were consistent. They
were all aligned. They were all aligned. They were all
aligned over the course of four rounds, and two of
them were aligned on every single scorecard in all five rounds.

(15:46):
That's telling you something. It was a great fight. It
was a fun fight. But when you get judging where
everybody's doing it the right way or the same way,
you might want to take that into consideration. Sean Strickland
said that the head bud affected him because he believes

(16:06):
that the blood and the cut is a visual. I
didn't see that on broadcasting. My boy and it who
sees everything felt bad for it because we never made
note of it. But when I watched the clip, it
was clear and honestly, those things happen in fighting. It

(16:27):
wasn't intentional. It was an accidental clash of heads. I
don't know how much that changes. I don't I don't
know how much that changes. I'd love to hear Sean
Strickland explain what he thinks that changes outside of the visual,

(16:48):
because I mean, he fought so good in round five.
He literally did exactly what his coaches asked him to
do in the empty the gas tank, and he won
that round going away. It's just a matter of him
getting this started a little sooner in the fight. There
was a fun fight, and you always want fights that
leave you with something, and this one left us with, well,

(17:09):
we want to see him fight again. We left them
with Dishan Strickland get screwed. We left him with did
Dracus win? We left him with Dracus was kissing his
coach on the mouth. You know, I keep seeing these
these these uh these clips DC's reaction to Drake's kissing
his coach. I didn't see it. I don't know what
I was looking at. I didn't even know he kissed

(17:31):
his coach on the mouth until people start tagging me
in these clips. I didn't even know what happened. So
there is no reaction to me kissing seeing that. I
just I don't know what I was looking at. I
was smiling because it looked like the entire family was happy.
I saw his mom and dad come in. I saw
his coaches and corners, his manager, Danny Rubinstein, and so

(17:52):
many other people walking into the oct there. And I
must have been looking at one of them when they
were when they when that happened inside the octagon. But
I don't I mean, I don't care. You want to
kiss your coach on the mouth and kiss him on
the mouth. I didn't kiss Rosendo, Bob Javiera, none of
them dudes, Rudy Leandro. That just I didn't want to
kiss him on the mouth. Drake's wanna kiss him on
the mouth, then go and kiss him on the mouth.

(18:13):
That's y'all. I don't care. It's not my It wasn't
my reaction because I wasn't paying attention. Great fight from Canada, Jones.
I'm not saying you're a bad employe today. Hell, you
could be the best employee on the roster. I don't know,
and I really don't care. Chill. There is no rivalry,
my friend. There's as much of a rivalry between me

(18:34):
and Jones as you and I have because there's no payoff.
There's no payoff. If there's no payoff, it's hard to
have a rival. Guys, man, I love when we get
the chat because I feel like I feel like we're
just talking to each other and I love doing that.
So hey, thank you guys for always tapping into the

(18:55):
things that we do. Last week was great. The interviews
did fantastic, the post fight did amazing. I appreciate you, guys.
I love each never one Until next time. Peace,
