Speaker 1 (01:43):
What's up, good guys, Welcome to a brand new episode
of Funk in the Champ. I'm Daniel Cormier. That's my
guy been asking. So look, we call in this one
the Messy Episode, because taug all we got is mess
been like at the world, the news cycles a bit slow.
Outside of the things that I love, you feel a

(02:03):
tad been uncomfortable with it. But let me just give
this as a disclaimer. I will never ever muzzle you.
I will never muzzle you. I will never tell you
not to speak your true thoughts. And it sucks that
you finally have found a way to turn your wife
against me, Bro, I cannot believe you've turned her against me.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
She was she was like, I sit next to her,
so she was seeing all the texts. Uh, you just
trying to poke and prod.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
So wait, she watches your text messages over your shoulder.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Don't to each other. She's right here and what your video?
She just laughs. She knows danielways makes you say wild.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Ship, Ben, I will never ever muzzle you. So I
appreciate you being your true hot it self, funky Ben.
That's why we all love you. We all love you
because you are a true uh which the words you
know whole your tongue.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
I tried to say what I can't because I'm very
few people who are willing to actually say how they feel,
what everything. But there are there a few things I
text you something that I'm not gonna stay in public because.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
They just mean.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
It's just mean. It's just mean. It's not even not funny.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
It's actually not mean.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
No, not me, it's mean.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
It's not mean. We won't, yes we will, but no,
let's say this, Ben, one person that speaks his mind,
just like you. You guys are kindred spirits. You guys
are one and the same, and you have thrown your
support publicly.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
No, they pulled back a little bit throw episode. No,
I said, I watched his interview with Oh my gosh,
what's the guy with the mullet? I like him. I
watched the episode. I am now very tipid in my
support as Sean Strickland will I appreciate some of the
things he says. He's freaking wild man, He's so wild

(04:04):
and he just had like the wildest forty eight hours ever.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
I mean, can you believe some of the things. So
let's start with this. He fights the YouTuber. I saw
this also with Blake Builder beating up a guy that
was talking trash toom. This guy wasn't like a YouTube
or anything. This was like a fan that was talking shit.
The kid beat him up. Who this guy, Well, he's
a new guy in the UFC. Tough kid just got

(04:28):
beat but he beat up a kid at the Orange
County RTC choked the guy out.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Whatever.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Yeah, that's kind of becoming a thing, right, These these
guys talk and these fighters beat him up. Sean Strickland
beat up a guy named what's his name?

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Ben Nico.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Nico guy has a million Instagram followers, about fifty thousand
YouTube subscribers, goes to the PI and beats fight Sean Strickland.
Sean beats him up as expected. At the end, Sean said,
if you would have just fell down, I would have stopped.
But you're very tough. You didn't fall down. The first

(05:03):
thing that pops up to me is the UFC let
him do that at the PI.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
That was crazy to me. Yes, it just seems like
a loss.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Of waiting to happen that he's doing that at the PI.
But also, what did you make of Sean just beating
on his dude?

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Well, you know what I didn't like, And I don't know.
I guess I was a fighter and so maybe I
shouldn't be able to be uh on. This is like
the brain trauma, Like he was trying to hurt that man,
Like Danielle, you know what it looks like when one
person is trying to hurt somebody. He was trying to
hurt that man. And so really, why do you watch it?

Speaker 1 (05:38):
I watched a little bit of it, but I get uncomfortable.
I get uncomfortable watching people that are trained fighting people
that don't know what they're doing. It's just so apparent.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Yeah, you could just tell you he's just jumping into
all the punches. You know, he was really putting full force.
And so what I thought about is, like, I remember,
I was laughing about this because I thought about, this
is uh Peyton Mackley. He is he wrestles from his
wrestling we're senior, he was a senior high school. I
took a bunch of guys to Super thirty two and
we actually stayed at Mark Ross's house, one of our
old sponsors. Yeah yeah, and Mark Ross at boxing gloves

(06:09):
and Peyton starts antagonizing me. And I know, I get
made fun up for my striking, so people probably won't
believe this, but I did win nineteen fights in a
roll over the course of ten years, so you guys
can hear it. Okay, So I said I can find Peyton.
So he put on the gloves and he starts trying
to hit me, and I, you know, I beat him up,
and then you know, hey, I'm not gonna hurt this kid,
because number one, he's got to wrestle, and number I

(06:30):
just don't feel like hurting untrained combat athletes. So I
just give him boom, give him one to the body,
and I put him down.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Yep, right, that's what you do.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
How come Sean couldn't have give one this dude one
of the body and put him down. Why do you
got to hit him like twenty seven times in the head.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Well, because when you think about Sean Strickland, Sean's the
guy that tells you if you step in there, you're
in for it. He's gonna give you exactly what you
asked for.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
So yeah, but that's what I still want to know. Like,
this guy doesn't know this guy. This guy he's not
a fighter. He just doesn't know what it's like. And
Sean got violent on his ass.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
But Sean is going to beat you up if you
step in there. Look, there are times where I want
to fight or beat up the people that antagonize me,
but then you know you just can't do it.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
And I did this guy. I don't think it's actually
antagonized him.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
I think Sean Strickland, but that in itself been is
stupid enough to get in right, Like, oh, I want
to fight against the guy that says everything. I want
to fight against the guy that told the dude bro.
In Canada, Sean was doing a media scrum and he

(07:41):
was cussing, and he was doing the whole Sean Strickland
thing and he looked back at the UFC and they
were kind of going. Sean calmed down and he goes, well,
I haven't no. The guy attacked him and Sean goes, well,
I haven't said the F word yet, and the guy said, well,
you just did, because he was saying fuck yeah, but
Sean was talking about the other so he thought he
was being on his good behavior by not saying that word.

(08:06):
That dude, that's the guy. You decide you want to
test yourself, yeah, and unarmed combat against like for the
first time in your life.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
Like I guess equally, I guess equally, dumb, I guess yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
So essentially you got exactly what you asked for.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Yeah, but you're still the I mean, Sean, I listen,
as wild as he is, this is and this is
where I think he can take a step up. He
can say I'm wild. I can put you down with
the body shot. It ain't gonna hurt you. I'm gonna
go ha ha, I'm gonna hit you in the body.
You're gonna fall down, because actually body shots sometimes I
remember the first time I ever sparred in my whole life.
I sparred with someone that was kind of good and

(08:43):
he kicked me right to the body and it felt
like my body was froze. I was like, like, it
didn't like hurt. It was just like I was like stuck.
You don't know what those ever.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
Especially when you don't know, right. So if you don't
know and you feel that pain for the first time,
you're like, what in the hell is that? Yeah, yes,
you can hit him, but I'm telling you, that's not
the way Sean Strickland moves. It's just not the way
he moves. But but he's one of those guys that
you gotta be a little careful with. Now he faces
off with President Trump, right this happens still in the

(09:15):
next week. For obviously he's not going to not going
to fight President Trump. He seems to support President Trump.
You know what Kobe Covington told me. Kobe Covington told
me that President Trump is a phenomenal fighter and a
good wrestler. I'm serious, dude, I swear to God. Kobe

(09:36):
Covington luis pulling up on the video. Kobe Covington told
me that President Trump is a phenomenal fighter and a
really good wrestler. And he said that when he's in
training camp, he goes to mar Lago and President Trump
like helps him with his stuff.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
Bro, that's why he looked like he did in the
last fight. Then duh okay, So Sean, how Sean this
is you can very much prove your the alpha without
giving someone brain damage. So Sean listen embarrassed that man cumulating,
whoop his ass? You don't need to give brain damage? Like,
what do you make? This a long term thing? Yeah?
But what do you make?

Speaker 1 (10:12):
But for me, it was like the fact that it
happened to the PI that was mind blowing.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
That was you know that? And the part that I
didn't like, and you can see it in the video.
Whomever is around there was starting. They were throwing. They
threw multiple towels, they multiple times, and he just kept
killing him.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
It's like all Creed, It's like Rocky and Apollo, throw
the towels, stop the fight. The Russian has one, let
it be.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
And then heyy Daniel. I mean, but as there's never
been a death in sanctioned mixed martial arts, but in
boxing there's been plenty of deaths.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Oh yeah, plenty well, because it's like the swallowing of
the brain after the fight, after the knockout, and the
multiple punches that you take once you get up after
eight seconds that leads to that brain damage where guy's
in dying. So fast forward twelve hours. He faces off
with the former president. Then he gets into it with

(11:09):
your boy, Jake Paul in this turns ugly.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
Well, j Paul got mad about the sneak o thing.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Yes, yes, but again, but here's the thing, right, is
Jake Paul just not sneakle but he went and got
good at boxing.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
He will sneak Jake Paul had a few videos of
him doing something very similar to very untrained people.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
Also, yes, I know, but so dumb. But he gets
mad at Sean for doing what he did. Yes, but
Sewan then takes it to the next level. Sean wants
to kill Jake Paul. Sean says, and I'll read this
right here, guys, if it were legal, I take your

(11:53):
effing life with the smile on my face. Is there
any place on earth I can take this man's life
and walk walk away from prison. Actually, Jake, I'll make
you a better deal because money can't buy happiness and
you have plenty of it, and you're still a very
very bad word. No cameras me and you in the
desert that would buy my happiness. No Instagram, no likes,

(12:16):
no games, just you. That's what I want. The twenty
eight and six fighter Sean Strickland wrote, Bro, this is
not Sean playing. This is like him. He wants to
hurt Jake Paul. What do you think annoys him so
much about Paul that he went from like I would
go to Puerto Rico and box you, I actually want

(12:37):
to kill you because Jake Paul immediately goes a million dollars,
come to Puerto Rico, we can box because that's what
he does, right, That's what Jake Paul kind of does.
He's like fortunate bit of antrol. While he kind of
trolls you, he makes you mad. He made me respond
in a way that was not becoming of who I
am as a person an athlete. But he trolls you.
But with this this dude, this dude's talking about killing

(13:00):
him and the last person Jake Paul antagonized to the
point that they got mad. Remember Floyd Maywhether's guys tried
to beat him up. Outside of that arena and basketball
and he ran away. So it was like, I don't
know that this is the guy that he wants to
play that game with.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
Yeah, I mean, I this word another one. I don't know.
Taking people's lives, I don't know. I guess I'm not
really cool with that. So I guess Sean is Sean's
killing people. I guess that whatever.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
He wanted to know if he can. He hasn't killed anyone.
He just wants to know if he can.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
A reasonable reasonable question. I think so, But like, I
don't know. Yeah, he probably shouldn't box him because unfortunate
MMA fighters don't do too well against Jake Paul kind
of sucks. So I watched a box. I mean, Sean's
a pretty good strikers at good box. Yes, obviously, if
they are to fight in a real fight, Sean would

(13:54):
murder him if they want it, you know, if you
wanted to, if you want to take to that extent.
But I don't know.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
I think he hits me with the Jake Paul quote.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
He would, but Jake was so hypocritical because he has
the same videos online. So it's kind of dumb because
it's not like, you know, you've never done this. We
have video of you doing this, so then you being
mad at someone else for doing this is really really dumb?

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Is Sneako one of his friends?

Speaker 3 (14:19):
I don't know this stuff? Yeah, I don't know nothing.
I was asking my wife, who's that lady stand next
to Taylor Swift?

Speaker 1 (14:25):
I don't know it was that.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
My wife said it was that lady named Blake Lively,
who's really famous?

Speaker 1 (14:30):
Oh yeah, I know who she is. I've heard her name.
I don't know who she is. So I'm kind of
done with that. And I'm done with all the Taylor
Swift and football shit. And I'm done with the Chiefs
winning Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
Crazy.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
You thought I was gonna cry when they won the
Super Bowl. It pisces me off, bro It pisces me
off about as much as Jake Paul gets. This is
off showing strictly Sean wants to kill him. But do
you ever want the kind of ben like man? I
publicly it would be like you running for president in
me publicly endorsing you as my candidate is what you

(15:04):
essentially did for Sean Strickland after watching him cry on
that interview, You publicly endorsed him.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
I said, He says some things that are really good.
I mean, the one thing he said about Kobe was hilarious.
I think he does makes good points. He has this thing,
though it's a very blind spot and I don't know
why he has it in his life, but like he
hates famous people, like really really bad he hates. I
mean when he said about Machine un Kelly, and I
don't know nothing about machineun Kelly. He might be a

(15:34):
d bag. I have no idea whatsoever. But Sean has
this thing.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Well, look at the way he was dressed though Machine
un Kelly was dressed a little bit weird. I didn't
look Sean was mad because he was with Megan Fox,
who in Transformers was like fucking amazing. She was like
the most amazingly beautiful woman on the planet. Now they're
running around like eating popsicles.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
You know, back in the day when they had mask
on for like the fires, all these celebrities would come
and they would eat stuff because remember you could take
your mask off to eat, so they would have like
popsicles and shit. They would eat popsicles and stuff to
keep them.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
No.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
So like when they would have fights at the Apex,
the celebrities instead of keeping their mask on, they'd look
like lollipops and shit to say that they were eating that.
It's just so fucking ridiculous, Like anyways, showing your embarrassing
to try to stop Sneako like that, you weren't even
able to drop someone with no experience while going all out.
You're a horrid boxer that only picks.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
Hey, watch you mouth here.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
On inexperienced people. This is Jake bro Listen, this is Jaco.
This is Jake who actually boxed you. Right, you're not
a boxer, but you know I'll fly you to Puerto Rico.
We can fight on camera. If you win, I'll give
you a million dollars half your networth. But if you
get dropped, you have to get a better tattooed on you.

(17:01):
D m me. But just like Patty, I'm guessing you'll
find a way to run away from me.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
So Sean did kind of find a way to run though,
because this is is he showing up for a boxing match.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
He would go for you. If you think Sean Strickland
would not go fight him here, well they should show up.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
Then he should show up for a boxing fight.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
In Puerto Rico.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
I don't see why not that's listen and you Gill
you Gill. I kinda say yes too much, right, but
if someone wants to get it on, let's get it on, fight, right, yeah,
Sean and Jake Paul says, let's go. You kin'd of
gotta go. He said, let's fight, Let's fight.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Yeah. But here's the thing, right, like you get a fight.
That's the beauty in the world we live, right, because
ultimately you can go fight. You can't kill him, but
you can't go fight. Yeah, go fight him, Go fight him.
I think that we should go fight him. Guys, our
friend are back. The Game Time App is back, and

(18:03):
y'all know how much we love the game Time App
at DCTV because the game Time App gives you an
opportunity to get the last minute tickets to anything you want,

(18:25):

you know how that dude don't be inviting his girlfriend.
He needed an extra ticket, so the boy DC got him.
I went to the game Time app, bunch of that
promo code DCTV, saved twenty dollars off and then save
Luis's relationship. So guys, go to the game Time app

(18:46):
right now, download it, use my promo code DCTV, and
save twenty dollars off of your first purchase game Time.
Welcome back, my friends in Luis, your boy loves you.
I always got your baby. Let's get to the video.
Ian Gary in Rampage have the oddest rivalry. First off,

(19:07):
Rampage Jackson is a legend of the sport. We all
love him. He kind of came at me a little
bit a while ago. I don't know what it was about.
I can't remember, but he kind of came at me.
I didn't respond, Luis. If you looked that up, you
could probably show I can. You can probably pull up
what he said about me. It was something. It was
something I said that he responded, never really did it.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
He's gonna smack the taste out your mouth.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
He was gonna slap me. Why was he gonna slap
medle like?

Speaker 3 (19:36):
I don't know why he was gonna slap.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
I don't know what I said to get slapped. I
talked for a living A lot of times. I say
shit that pissed people off. It is what it is.
But now Rampage is in the media space. He runs
the Jackson Podcast with Luke rock Hold and some other guys.
He's on Area Hawani show the other day and he's
talking about Ian Garrett. Ian Gary now has been I'm

(20:00):
the butt of the joke for a lot of people.
I am gonna look so I'm sitting down with Ian
Gary next week. I hope I don't catch any strange
because I'm friends with you, because you guys are so
disrespectful towards Ian, which I believe that you're completely wrong for. Well,
Rampage was talking about him in a way where he

(20:21):
called him Daniel Corman needs to watch what he says
before I smacked the taste out of his mouth. That's
what he doesn't say, what you said to him, which
is crazy because it's like, come on, man.

Speaker 3 (20:32):
Slam kale at UFC. I think be fun.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
Because I said because I said that we've never seen
it before twice a night. Yeah, but but I had
already seen Jerald Harris, do it was it was being
sensitive anyhow. Yeah, he said that he was talking about
Ariel and he was like, I'm interviewing this kid. I
don't know who he is. He's pretending act like he
didn't know who Ian Gary was, but you having on
the podcast and he called him Ian the cuck and

(20:59):
Ian he's not going on the podcast. You know what
I say? Good on Ian Gary? Yeah, necessary and not
allow of people to disrespect him. Yeah, you got the
too disrespectful to that man.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
No, you know. I mean my my thing was I
would just go on podcasts and like I went on
uh Logan Paul's podcast, and I think I verbally assaulted him.
I made Will be a schmuck. I thought, I mean,
much much higher than his. Yeah, he tried talking shit
and I don't know. Yeah, I think I came off
very very well on the podcast, but I mean, this
is my opinion. Yeah, so I don't know, Like, I

(21:35):
guess why would he go on the podcast? Because I
think you're right, because like, dude, if you're talking you
want me to the podcast, why do you invite me
here in the first place. I don't really need to
come on. But you could always just come on and
then you know, counter attack the person something like that.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
But like do you get like, I mean, is it wrong? Though? Like,
let me ask you this, is it wrong for so
many to have so many opinions of Ian Gary, his wife,
their relationship with all these things, because now when it's
getting the guys like Rampage, who are really removed from
the sport. I don't know the last time Rampage fought, right,
isn't it a little bit much? And he is well

(22:10):
within his right to do that.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
Yeah, yeah, I guess he's well within his right to
say whatever he wants. But it will be weird if
I mean you're saying he's well removed. But he has
a he's got a podcast with fighters, so you think
he would want to stay kind of up to date
on on the information. He actually bought the door in
twenty nineteen. I would not have guessed that that was
the last time, right Bellatore and he lost to chair

(22:35):
in Bellatore and King Mo. Actually interesting, I forgot that.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
But he wants to slap me think about that, Like
in twenty nineteen, guys, I was due to heavyweight champion
of the world.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
He's not being he doesn't want to fight you. He
just wants to slap you because you're He disrespected him
by not recognizing he had one of the most epic
slams of all time against racer Arona. It was a
really amazing slam.

Speaker 1 (22:59):
Dude, he was a monster, bro, he was. He actually
looks like he's lost some weight too. He had gotten
really big. He looks like he looks good now, ram Page, Hey,
uh Ian Gary, do does put like Jeff Neil's mugshot
on his face on his T shirt?

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Hey?

Speaker 1 (23:18):
Bro, did you know that when Ian Gary said that
about Neil Magni that this is what they told me
last week. And I was at dinner with someone I'm
not gonna say their name. Actually, you know what, I
Am going to say their name.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
Fuck.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
Ian Gary is fighting against Jeff Neil. I'm gonna ask
him about that this week when I.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
Speak to him.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
I was with a couple Jeff Neil's teammates, Kyle Crutchmer,
who is one of our guys on Zaked Entertainment, and
Rommy's I think his name is ram Is Brahemai or
something like that. Anyhow, they said that when Ian said
that about uh Neil Magne and his children in court.
They used that against Neil Magney.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Boy, did you know that I heard it? I don't.
I didn't. I didn't fall up to see it's true.
That's the thing, you know, you kind of bust my ass, Daniel.
I live a busy life. You might live as busy
as a life as me. You have a lot of
things going on, and so like, you know, I scroll
through things, but and I see him, but I don't
have the time to like dig in to get to
the bottom of every single thing I read. So like,

(24:17):
if I'm gonna come on here and talk to you
about it, I'm gonna try to at least get a
couple of quotes or kind of get an idea of it.
But there's no way I can go all the way deep.
And so, you know, like with Ian Geary, I don't
know the in Geary, he did kind of look shitty
in that situation. And so what I would have done
if I was is come out and clear the air
and say, like, you know, I told you I listened
to whatever her Name's book is, and I think it

(24:40):
has to be parody, Like it's got to be a joke,
you know, But no one said, hey, dummies, this is
a joke, Like, you guys are dumb, how could you
possibly think this is real? So he could have always
came out and just cleared the air and said, here's this,
here's this, her ex husband doesn't live with us, here's
why my last name is this. He could have kind
of knocked all the dominoes down, you know. But I
don't know that he ever did that totally clearly.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
But he doesn't Maybe he doesn't care. Maybe then then
maybe he doesn't care, But then.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
He shouldn't be mad about people talking about it. And
I always said that. I said that to every wrestler
I coach. That kind of achieves. It's like, if you
don't want people to like be saying things about you
and guessing, you just got to say what it is.
So like if you if you have an incident where
people are gonna wonder what happened, you just need to
come out and say, this is what happened. This is exactly.

(25:27):
I don't want anyone to wonder, here's what happened. Blah
blah blah.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
I mean, yeah, but I think that I think that's
like I think that honestly is like responding to people online.
It's almost like you validate them by discussing it.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
Yeah, but just like but then don't care, but then
don't care, but he does. You can tell he does care,
you know, So like, if you're gonna care, then you
need to set the record straight. And if you don't, like, yeah, yes,
a valid tactic is to not care, like you're saying,
but he cares, for sure, he cares.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
Well, I mean, how could you not grow when people
are talking about your significant other like that? It's like
that's not fun. That can't be fun to hear constantly,
especially for a young guy, right because there's only like
twenty five years old, not like he's thirty five forty.
You know, he's like twenty five year old kid that's
married to this gal that he loves with all of
his heart. And uh but again, bro, like if you

(26:24):
if you like, if you're willing to play the game,
then I think a lot of that comes back with you.
Like I knew that when I would approach or attack,
when Jones and I would be going back and forth, Yeah,
if I said something about his wife or his brother,
I knew that something would be coming back in my

(26:45):
direction in that regard, right, because once you open that
can You can't really open Pandora's box when it benefits
you and then stuff at all back in there whenever
somebody attacks you in that way. So when, especially if
that came back to bite Neil Magni in that like
in a real type of custody situation, that's not fair.

(27:06):
And even that right when explaining those things, you would
hope that if he ever does say, well, this isn't true,
this isn't true, this isn't true. My bad to Neil
Magni for doing what I did, because I didn't know
that it would affect him in the way that it
affected him. I think that would go.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
A long way.

Speaker 1 (27:23):
But I do believe that in this instance, it seems
as though, Bro, I'm telling you, Patty Pimblet said it,
thank God for Ian Gary because everybody kind of forgot
about me. Whenever he was fighting on the last fight
card he was I was like yo, I was like, DDE,
would you do anything different now because the fans seem

(27:45):
to have turned on you? He goes, Honestly, DC, thank
God for Ian Gary because everybody's so focused on him,
they forgot about me and the mistakes that I've made
leading up to this point because it was all negative
for Ian.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
Yeah, is very very very valid. Hey, total total sidebar.
Two things, two comments.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
In one second, and I think this time Ian's doing
the right thing.

Speaker 3 (28:09):
Okay, before you I don't disagree. I don't disagree. Number one,
do you remember uh rampage font bellatour for a long
time and they did one fight in the UFC and
then went back to Bellatore. Do you remember that?

Speaker 1 (28:22):
I didn't know that.

Speaker 3 (28:23):
That's weird, Okay, I can't believe that happened. And then
my second comment was I surely thought something was gonna
get announced by UC three hundred at the Super Bowl,
which we just so we are we're you know, just
watch super Bowl? Why did anything get announced?

Speaker 1 (28:36):
Tell us? I think I think they're having trouble with
the UFC three hundred main event right now. That's all
I can think about. That's all I can imagine is
that they're having a tough time finding a main event,
which leads to John Jones.

Speaker 3 (28:52):
Did you see it?

Speaker 1 (28:54):
That leads to John Jones said that he was asked
the headline UFC three hundred was not healthy.

Speaker 3 (29:02):
Bro. Watch that tackle. I sent you the video. He
tackles that the artist ship. He's healthy, Bro, watching shoulder injury.
He's got a shoulder injury.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
Peck peck.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
But watched the way he tackled this man, Well, he's
at the peck issue with a peck. Tackled with your shoulder, man, Bro,
you tag put Louise. Put the video. Put the video
in here. He tackled him so hard there was no
let up. It wasn't like it was hard. He picked
this man up, put him down. Was it you tackled
guy that you're ready to fight someone in the cage.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
Or tackled him he tackled.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
You didn't watch it?

Speaker 1 (29:36):
I didn't watch it.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
Watch this.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
I watched. I watched some of the other stuff. Okay,
let me see. No I got so dude, you guys
like went crazy on sending videos. Last I got a
video of the era of Henry's huddle.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
And then uh, and then he was drinking shots with
people in public and allegedly he was hackling that comedian,
which I don't know. If I don't trust that thing,
I don't. I don't can't see him in there, so
I don't really trust him.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
Yeah, but bro, like I oh, he tackled the ship
out of him. That's what dude, that was so hard.
That was a pretty good form tackle though. That was
a good tackle. Yes, the guy was holding bro advocate.
If I'm playing Devil's advocate, the guy was holding a pad,

(30:21):
so he tackled the pad. He didn't he did tackle
the ship out of him. And if I'm being if
I'm being honest, I think and I will I will
put this like I think that when I I didn't
know the video existed of him in this in this

(30:42):
uh this comedy club, I didn't know that.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
I don't trust that. You can't see him. You can
hear him saying this video of me dropped. What was that?
I got the video me dropping Peyton Macco with that
body shot, Oh my god to me go watch you?
Oh you barely hit him, only got one calf on?

Speaker 1 (31:05):
Do you think do you think so? What do you
think happened? Do you think they dubbed over his voice?

Speaker 3 (31:13):
Because that was I'm just saying, listen, this is bad
yelling at me for Euro's yelling at me for you know,
not digging deep enough. And so I'm gonna say I'm
gonna give John Jones the benefit of the doubt. It
sure sounds like John Jones. But I can't see John Jones,
so I'm not gonna trust it.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
I don't know, Ben, that's not hey, bro, I've Ben.
I will say this. I don't know because you're right,
I can't see his face, but Ben, it definitely sounded
like him. It sounded like him a lot, bro Like,
I don't.

Speaker 3 (31:48):
Know, man like, it's just it's just so he should
really highlight. I actually am kind of annoyed by the
heavyweight picture because.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
It sounds like it sounds like more. It sounds like
more people. It seems like more people are getting through
hold on, so.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
Hurt him off. No roadway picture. The UC heavywey picture
is not good right now because you have Tom aspinall,
you have this new kind of exciting up and comer
who now has an interim strap. He's got a partial belt, right,
and now you got Jones. He said I won't even
fight that dude. I want to fight Stepe and so
it's kind of like this really weird situation. And then

(32:36):
John says I'm not healthy, and then he's tackling these
rugby players hard as shit, like what is even going
on here?

Speaker 1 (32:43):
Well, problem is like they shouldn't. Problem is the way,
it seems like maybe there shouldn't have been an interim
title fight because unless Tom Aspinall is going to be
defending the interim championship, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
But you really need to do that.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
I think though, like, oh my god, this is gonna
suck because I'm gonna get attacked by John Jones again.

Speaker 3 (33:07):
Just let me say all this stuff, because John John
gets mad when you talk.

Speaker 1 (33:11):
About and in most instances, dude, like when I was
doing the whole like bad employee thing, I was actually
giving him credit about how you can't get rid of
him and all that, but he hung on and it
was really all like miss. It was weird, like because
I did say those things, but I was saying that

(33:31):
I had those same instances. I'd been that before, so
it's like very odd. But here's and this is where
he's gonna get mad at me this time. You say
that the division is in a weird spot right now,
But in most instances when divisions are in a weird spot,

(33:53):
he is kind of at the center of that division.
But this is not me making stuff up.

Speaker 3 (34:01):
No, But I mean the heavily divisions is actually kind
of fun right now, right because aspinall's young, he's new,
Pavolch hits hard, you got the Jelaton, and I'll meet
a guy who's I don't think he did.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
I don't know about I think with SERGEI right now,
I don't know how that knockout is gonna affect him.
He came back and.

Speaker 3 (34:19):
He was a lot of exciting people at heavyweight.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
Yeah, but but the champion is gonna fight steep A.
One positive is that John did say he's feeling really
good right now and he may stay after step A.
So for a while it just felt like he was
gonna walk away after he fight Meochic and so he
said this as impressed and impressed best Tom is he's

(34:44):
not important enough yet to determine my schedule and my decisions.
That's fair enough, Huh. If I were him, I would
get after it. I would get after it. If you
truly believe that you're the best in the world, then
get after it. Go out there and compete, and the
real fans will count your victories as champions. But don't

(35:06):
let me slow you down. Go out there, kick butt
and make your money. That's what John said. And John said,
if all that plays out in that way, he might
stick around and he might continue to fight because he's
excited right now about the prospects of his career going forward.
That is at least positive for Tom, and right now
that's got to be something, because lately Tom hasn't gotten

(35:28):
much good news in regard to his fight career, especially
warning Steve A. Miochies or John Jones, who, by the way,
Tom said that he was offered to step A fight
at UFC three hundred, which step A did not take.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Yes, So I say this Stepee record, Steeve A, you
know what, his last fight is March of twenty twenty one.
So I mean we're talking about an almost like I
don't know, I man, Stepe is a legend actually just
looking at his fight record and say, like, holy shit,
his record is last five fights Francis Daniel, Daniel Daniel,
Francis J and then JDS over in Fabricio ver Doom,
Like he.

Speaker 1 (36:03):
Caught a lot of guys.

Speaker 3 (36:04):
That's like that's a roster right there. But but he
hasn't fought in three years, Like, so why is he
getting a title shot coming off a loss and a
three year period of inactivity. I don't know that it
really makes sense, like Tom makes so much more sense.

Speaker 1 (36:17):
Well John, but John wants to fight him because he
is considered the greatest of all time. Yeah, and if
you've learned anything here recently, Uh, guys can kind of
call for what they want in terms of who they
want to fight. We saw with Sean O'Malley now that
he's fighting Chiato Vera, and uh even Elliot Daporia said

(36:38):
who fights next week? Ainst alexand Bolkonowski that if he wins,
he's not giving Max Holloway, Yea Rodriguez, are any of
those guys title fights.

Speaker 3 (36:45):
He's so good, Yeah, he might get the screws put
to him, right, I mean you think they Yeah, they
give special things to special people. But uh, you know,
Dana always what we saw the documents with John Jones, right,
they try to make cap on what they want to
make happen, right, and they do pick certain people they
like and don't like, but they try to make fights happen,

(37:06):
big fights. And if a guy trying to fight people
they don't really like that. So hey, that's actually a
good segue because maybe the next time we talked Danie'll
actually be able to talk about some fights because we
had any good fights in a while.

Speaker 1 (37:17):
Isn't that crazy?

Speaker 3 (37:18):
U Sue two ninety eight. It's going to be really,
really good.

Speaker 1 (37:21):
I think it's a great fight, and I love how
confident Illiot's are. Poor you is I mean, it's almost
like to that kid, it's a foregone conclusion that he
beats Zander Volklanovski. But Ben, could it really be? Could
it really be that much of a lasting impact on

(37:43):
Bulk after losing to Islam? I mean, because that's got
to be what everybody expects.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
You know that he was just drinking beer, not training.

Speaker 1 (37:51):
That's what he's said, crazy drinking every day.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
So that was a bat that we talked to him.
Was a bad different except that fight. At that point
in time, it probably was Hey, listen, he this, but
this is the fighting man right here. This man got
challenged and he said, I'm drinking beer. I don't give
a damn. Let's go fight.

Speaker 1 (38:07):
A special talent would believe that he had a chance
to win. You gotta be a wow man to do that.

Speaker 3 (38:13):
Hey, did you see his his recent old person ad?

Speaker 1 (38:16):
I saw it.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
Oh my god, it was so good. He was good
with my ass.

Speaker 1 (38:20):
Off him and mob d Wallace Vili are so fun
to me. I think they're fucking amazing there. Henry, dude
out of his mind? Dude, why did Henry fire Eric?
I mean, Henry's always had Eric. It was actually kind
of sad, bro I was sad. See go ahead, don't
hold your tongue saying.

Speaker 3 (38:38):
I'm just hoping it's not actually I it was weird.
It's on social media. I'm hoping. I like both these people.
I like Henry and I like Eric. I hope it
like he didn't actually fire him. I hope it's like
just some mutual thing where Eric's just not giving in
the corner or something to that effect, because I mean,
we've got to fight here in six days, and we
see this video on social media where Eric Henry is

(38:59):
fight firing Eric with him for he was a mentor
to him at the training center. So it's like we're
talking two thousand and five or something.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
You could tell Eric hard just broke too. I felt
so bad for him. Oh my god, he's a military captain.
Boy's he served our country. Yeah, he was in the military,
and Henry does him like that?

Speaker 3 (39:18):
Is that how you people treat Henry? Wouldn't do that?

Speaker 1 (39:23):
You are United States Olympian and you're gonna treat an
army veteran in that way.

Speaker 3 (39:28):
Man, you talked to Henry. Listen, you're you're the you're
Olympic team captain, so you can go have a discussion
with Henry this week we see him.

Speaker 1 (39:35):
This is not okay, guys, Ben, thanks again, Man, I
appreciate you always doing this. It's so much fun.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
Guys.
