Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome in everybody to Fantasy pros. This is the Fantasy
Football Podcast. It is me Joey P joe P Zapia,
and today we're gonna talk about, well, what's most important,
whether or not we're going to draft or pass on
certain players. And if you're watching on the YouTube, don't
adjust that color on your set. We're wearing our chubby
shirts today, at least the Welsh and I are, that's

(00:21):
for sure. Chubbies is a sponsor of today's show. More
on them later on, but it might be the most
comfortable shirt that I've ever worn ever period. It's a
little loud, but then again, so am I, and so
is the Welsh. A little quieter, more subdued, Thank goodness.
To balance out the trouble and the base, here is
our Patty Cakes, Pat Fitzmorris. Pat, it's great to have

(00:41):
you here on the program. I'm sorry that you're not
wearing your chubby shirt today, but I got to tell you,
if you like, for Christmas, I could get you one.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
I am insanely jealous and I was asking you guys, like, wait,
why didn't I get one? And apparently I didn't realize
that I had to actually give someone my team name
and size. I didn't realize that. I thought that was
on file. I was just going to be delivered right
to me. So to go back and do that, because
I am I'm very jealous right now.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
I thought it was just automatic that they would just
send me whatever. It's all on file. Well, can you
believe it worked with such a work diva here and
Pat fitz Morris just slack messages me nothing to him.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Listen, we got celebrities in here. We got Jerry O'Connell
just praising Debro, we got Pat fitz Morris, who is
the most beloved across the industry. I gotta be honest
with you, I'm not surprised that some of these guys
are expecting just things to be sent to them without
any information. Us hosts out here, Joe and sometimes part
time analysts, we got to get a little bit more

(01:43):
in the streets. By the way, I want to point
this out. You know, my favorite thing about this is,
besides the comfort, it's not one of those shirts where
you feel like you have to up I know we're
not even doing the ad, but I didn't feel like
I had to like upplay the size. You know where
it's like you gotta go with side is absolutely perfect,
pat Man, you would look great in one of these
right now.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Too bad you didn't get us. Christmas is coming, Patty,
Christmas is coming. I know what to get my Patty
cakes this holiday season, and we know what to get
you this season because we're trying to get you a championship.
That's what we're here trying to do. Again, subscribe to
the YouTube channel right here. We're trying to get to
three hundred thousand this year, and we can do it
with your help, So subscribe right now, and let's get
into it. So we're gonna play draft or pass. We're

(02:20):
gonna go through some running backs, some wide receivers, tight end, quarterback,
different positions, different players here, and we're gonna talk about
whether or not we should be drafting or passing them.
See what the guy's opinions are, and maybe I'll chime
in to break a tie if need be. Let's start
here with Christian McCaffrey. Christian McCaffrey in July was going
around the what fourteenth player overall in Best Ball? And

(02:41):
I thought, Wow, that's a really intriguing value. I think
I could be in on Christian McCaffrey there well, real
time ADP on Fantasy Pros tells me now he is
the seventh player that number has been cut in half
and also cut down to zero is the playing time
in the preseason zero appearances for Christian McCaffrey. He's in
bubble wrap. Also, the San Francisco forty nine ers did
go out and acquire another running back, and I know

(03:03):
Isaac Grendo wasn't healthy and Brian Robinson is there now,
and depth is important. It's the NFL, But there's a
lot of potential flags here. Christian McCaffrey, the potential upside
is the best player in fantasy. We know that. We've
seen that, but we didn't see a lot of Christian
McCaffrey last year, and there's been some other seasons where
we haven't seen that as well. And it's now costing
you a lot to get Christian McCaffrey. So I'm gonna

(03:25):
start with mister forty nine or in his chubby shirt
today draft or pass CMC at his current ADP.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Well, if it's not obvious, we're clearly gonna pass. No,
I'm just kidding. Oh, we're gonna draft now, of course,
I just fooled you. What are you talking about here?
Which Jaffrey. Yeah, no, we are going to draft Christian McCaffrey.
If I didn't draft in the shirt, it'd be disgusting.
But I mean, you know, you kind of laid it out.
He usually the ultimate boom or bust pick. Twenty twenty

(03:54):
four absolute lost cause. But I and maybe this is
a struggle that I have sometimes. I've said this from
time and time again. When you have a player that
has an injury tag to them and has production loss,
I think there's a lot more justification when you have
a player win healthy, who can be one of the
best players in that sport. That's a consideration that you

(04:16):
need to take a little bit more seriously. And yeah,
the injuries were really bad. But the one thing we
know about Christian McCaffrey, regardless of who else out, they
doesn't care who they bring up Brian Robinson, doesn't matter
if they bring in twelve more running backs. When Christian
McCaffrey is healthy, it is Christian McCaffrey's team. In twenty
twenty three, you have many games he did not finish
as a top twelve running back and half PPR four.

(04:38):
You know how many games he did not finish as
a top twenty four RB so at least in RB
two zero, So I mean pretty obvious. The clutch of
what he's going to score and how he's going to
be used is there? Top twelve running back a majority
of the time they lost their short yardage guy in
Debo Ayuk is hurt. The targets are there, the usage

(04:59):
is there, and if he can stay healthy, he actually
might be the safest to be a top three overall player.
He might be the safest first round pick there is
taking out the actual injury worry. So from a production standpoint,
he is going to be an absolute monster in the team.
They've babied him. I don't think Brian Robinson's going to
take anything away from him. I would acknowledge I'm a

(05:20):
tiny bit worried or I don't love that the cost
has gone up and up and up. But I think
a lot of us play in a Ricky Bobby if
you're not first, your last type of situation, and this
is a guy that win healthy is going to no
doubt be a top first round pick, and I think
he can be the number one overall player. So I'm
going to take some risk here when the running backs
fall off. And I'm going to say Christian McCaffrey.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Is a draft well, I mean you also, uh, and
I'm wearing n you are wearing a Niner. Sure, but
on top of it, look, you're not wrong. We all
know how great Christian McCaffrey is. But the thing you
didn't mention is the hand of games that he misses
twenty twenty four. Obviously he missed thirteen games. He played
seven games in twenty twenty one, only played three games
in twenty So I get it. When he's there, he's

(06:02):
the number one player, but sometimes he ain't there. And
the problem is Pat you know, at this time in
the draft now where you have to draft him in
the real ADP as the seventh player. Overall, you're passing
on Derrick Henry, Justin Jefferson, I'm on Rossaint Brown. A
lot of guys that are I think are very steady
where you don't have to play that game of it's
all or nothing. So is it draft or pass for you?

(06:23):
For CMC?

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Yeah, boy, I guess I'm the tie breaker here with
the guy in the forty nine Ers shirt and the
guy in the room saying.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
No, pat, I'm a pass. I'm a pass at seven. Yeah,
I was into fourteen. I was curious at twelve, at
ten maybe, but at seven, I don't know. I'm out there.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Oh you're a you're a known Christian McCaffrey souer post shoe,
so like it was always going to be me as
the tiebreaker here and look for me. He is a
reluctant draft and the injury risk is absolutely terrifying. And
I love Welsh. You know, well, he's actually the safest
pick if not for was annoying bones and muscles that

(07:02):
you know every player has. If not for that, he
would be the safest pick out there.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
But he actually, But.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
There's guys we talk about production. I mean it cut
into your time. Like I know it could seem silly
what I'm saying, but like if you take away the
injury stuff and you just are securely looking at production,
there might not be. There's two guys maybe three, that
are more floor base that you're gonna lock in if
he is out there, And of course the if is
why he's not being drafted as like the third guy,

(07:29):
like you know what he's gonna do. There's no production dip,
so I know it is like a silly comment that
I said, but like injuries aside, his production is without question.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Yeah, if he's healthy, he's gonna smash. He always smashes
when he's healthy. And since the trade of the forty
nine ers in twenty twenty two, Christian McCaffery has averaged
nineteen point eight touches a game, one hundred and fifteen
point five yards from scrimmage per game, and one touchdown
per game. Kyle Chanahan's system extremely running back friendly, and
he just he loves feeding CMC the ball, probably more

(08:00):
more than is wise, but like Shanahan just can't help himself.
So yes, the one thing I would say about the
injury risk, I think you should be willing to draft
Christian McCaffrey. I think you should be more willing to
draft him if you are in a league with a
lot of sharks and the competition is tough, because then
I think the risk is more justifiable because you're gonna

(08:22):
need to hit on some You're going to need to
take some big swings to knock off the titans of
your league. So this is about as big a swing
as you can take.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Yeah, Shanahan loves to have the ball to McCaffrey except
in the Super Bowl with a lead too soon Welsh
too soon? By the way, yes or no, just a
yes or no? Does it bother you at all that
he hasn't played a lick of the preseason, Not one
o yota. All right, Let's move on to the next
running back on our list, Breeze Hall, who could find
himself in a time share, A guy that we were
coveting just a couple of years ago in fantasy, but

(08:53):
now rumors of a brayln Allen shared backfield have certainly stunted.
I think little bit of the love of bres Hall. Pat,
we'll start with you on this one draft or pass
bres Hall at his current ADP right now, looking at
him that number on real time ADP. I love that
I get the real time numbers on fansy bros. He
is RB nineteen forty three overall pass.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Aaron Glenn has said all off season that he wants
to use multiple backs, and based on the preseason, he
was not kidding about that because we have seen the
Jets use all three backs with the starters, so you know,
and I think we should heed the preseason because they're
establishing usage patterns that they're going to follow in the

(09:37):
regular season, and Jets are going to have a low
scoring offense, and like, I know Breshall is a good
pass catcher, and like they're just not going to throw
that much. I think in Justin Field's career starts, he's
averaged like twenty four and a half pass attempts per game.
So there's just not a lot here for bres Hall
if he's not playing a ton of SnO and he's

(10:00):
not going to play a ton of snaps. That's been
made clear. So I don't have any interest in drafting
him whatsoever.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
All Right, passing on bres Hall Braylen Allen, by the way,
going as the ninety eighth player off the board, certainly
if you want that time share a lot cheaper twice
as cheap. Actually, to be specific, how about you Welsh
draft or pass Breece Hall this year.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
I am a draft of Breece Hall. I actually don't
hate the ADP. It's actually moved up a little bit
real time. ADP yesterday was at forty five, so he's
moved up to forty three, but it's still a pretty
palatable cost. In like the fourth round for drafts, and
one of my big arguments would be, like, yeah, absolutely,
like Braylan Allen is going to jump in there, but
Brice Hall last year, what he did wasn't as a

(10:42):
big primary runner. Six games last year, Breas had five
or more catches. Five of those six games he finished
as a top fifteen RB in half PPR. Only six
games did he receive more than fifteen carries. Yet he
finished as RB seventeen. And you know you're going to
talk about justin fields and where they're going to pass. Well,
he had one of the highest checkdown percentages of any

(11:04):
quarterback with one hundred and more pass attempts. It was
about fifteen percent. Last year twenty twenty three was about
twelve percent. So those checkdowns are probably going to be
going to Breece. And I just laid out if Breese
is getting five or more catches a game, that's where
he's going to make a lot of that money. This
team also was dead last in the NFL and carries
per game at twenty one. So if they're going to
build this new offense around being a bit more aggressive,

(11:27):
you got a running quarterback, I think those carries are
going to go way up. And you know, if you
even if you line up to like old offenses of
run heavy, and let's say they become a top ten
rushing offense, that's about eight to nine more carries. Those
eight to nine more carries can go to Braylean Allen
and Breice Hall can still push up as like an
RB twenty. So maybe you could argue that there isn't

(11:49):
like this incredible high upside if Braylean Allen is taking
some and Justin Fields's out there, but one of the
highest checkdown quarterbacks out there in Fields, Breishall making his
money off of the receiving game going to be used
more in the receiving game. I actually think in the
fourth round, especially full PPR, it's a big check half PPR,
I think you're still solid. And if people are really
kind of fear mongering about Breshall and he falls, I

(12:12):
think I'm gonna jump on the opportunity because he's a
big playmaker and I think Fields is going to open
that up for him.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Well, so far, the fearmongering hasn't changed too much. He's
only moved a couple spots here in the last week.
But I'm gonna have to break this tie here. Welsh
makes a lot of good points actually for Breesehall, and
I don't think he has a player with zero value.
I just don't think he has the value of where
he's being drafted. So I'm going to pass on him
because he's going around the same spot as running backs
like Galvin Kamara, Chuba Hubbard, James Connor, Tony Pollard, who's

(12:39):
got the backfield all to himself with the spears injury too,
and he's had several years one thousand yards rushing here,
very steady Eddy. I think those guys are just a
little safer. If Breesehall starts to drop into the sixties,
then I'm definitely listening on Breeshall and that could happen
this weekend, So pay attention to it. Follow the real
time adp over at fantasypros dot Com too. Again, this
is their best new tool, I think by a mile.
I love it, checking it all day long in every

(13:01):
single draft I'm doing. Let's get to another running back.
Let's get to a rookie running back who is actually
going in the fifties right now, the fifties second player
overall RB twenty two, a rookie with a lot of
upside and a lot of hype, but maybe in a
class with Ashton genty, not as much exposure to the
public eye than he would normally receive. However, R. J.
Harvey is the guy that Sean Payton has chosen here

(13:23):
in the Denver backfield. So Welsh, I'm gonna put this
one to you, R J. Harvey, draft or pass In
twenty twenty five.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
I felt a couple different scenarios that you could play out,
could be draft, could be passed. I ultimately landed on draft.
We are back in so we are three state drafts here.
The worry would clearly be that there's you know, rotational
issues like JK. Dobbins takes more away from this offense
that we're you know, overly concerned about. Maybe they're gonna,

(13:50):
you know, get McLaughlin in there, like if they're gonna
run any type of rotation out there, like that does
make me worry.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
The thing is is J.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
Harvey is explosive. He is explosive as can be, incredible
jump cuts. I actually think his floor might be what
we're looking at with brace Hall right now this season,
where it's like if he gets twelve to thirteen carries
a game, maybe it's a fifteen, he's catching the ball
out of the backfield if he's playing any of that
joker role. I mean, I think a lot of us
have just kind of gone on and on about, you know,

(14:18):
what these offenses can do as far as the running
back in that system, and Harvey in open field is explosive,
is absolutely explosive. But also I know this has been
talked about in different spots, but the offensive line win
rate was like the best in the league last year
for the Broncos. So if you've got this power offensive line,
they're going to play screen passes. They want to get
the ball in. Here's what I think could happen. I

(14:39):
think that you could even have a couple of weeks
where it's a little dicey on RJ.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Harvey.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
You're getting Dobbins in. Dobbins is going to vulture in
some short yarded touchdowns. I think that's what he's here for.
But I think at the end of the day, it's
going to be impossible to get him off the field.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
RJ. Harvey.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
He is too much of a playmaker for this offense.
And I think around this cost area, the Arby you
know who, if you waited you win high wide receiver
and is a round fifty one. I still think there's
plenty of upside, and like I said, I think the
floor could be what Briefs Hall is right now, and
I think the ceiling continues to jump up and up,
especially if he gets more primary carries and continues to

(15:13):
catch the ball out of the field. So I am
a draft on RJ. Harvey, all of us making our
boy Deepro proud or at least me making him proud.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
Will Patkins not speak for Pat quite?

Speaker 3 (15:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Pat RJ. Harvey draft or pass draft.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
I'll never get him as high in the rankings as
Debro has him. But look Denver will.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Yeah never fess not gonna happen. Denver was among the
more desirable possible landing spots for a rookie running back
this year, and while Harvey did not go in the
first round like Ashton Genty or O'marion Hampton, he was
the Broncos second round pick. Like they tabbed him to
be a key performer on offense. He's gonna play and

(15:50):
even if he splits time with JK.

Speaker 4 (15:52):
Dobbins.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Sean Payton has a history of giving us two or
more valuable fantasy assets at running back in any given year,
like think about the Alvin Kamara mark Ingram combination, or
like much earlier in Sean Payton's tenure in New Orleans,
it was like Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush and duce McAllister,
like all three of them fantasy relevant. So yeah, Sean

(16:15):
Payton's running backs catch a lot of passes.

Speaker 4 (16:18):
Harvey's a good pass catcher. The dude is explosive.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
You know, he was a second rounder because he's quick,
he's good lateral agility, good vision.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
He is worth drafting.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
Well, I don't have to break the tie, but just
so you know, I'm drafting him as well. So three
for three, that's a clean sweep on RJ. Harvey. I
know why people are a little concerned to I get that.
You know, new things are very scary sometimes. But Sean
Payton offenses, I think that's something you want to do.
Plus bo Nicks, you know, excels and dumping off the football.
If you watch him in college, that's kind of his
strong suit. So look for R. J. Harvey to benefit

(16:50):
from that. And I don't think don't tell Derek Brown
I said this, but I think Derek's right. I think
Dobbins is there to shave like one hundred carries off
the season for r J. Harvey. Put him in like
the low two hundred number, and then probably get somewhere
around sixty seventy targets. I think he could. That's the
upside of what RJ. Harvey could be.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
Go ahead, Well, the thing I wanted to add is
like one thing I think also could float out there
to be on the lookout early in the season that
if you do get a little bit more Dobbins to
start the year and the panic ensues because you know,
it's like, well, deebro said he's the fifteenth running back
and I drafted him there and people start freaking out.
Harvey actually might become a really accessible trade asset in
the first couple weeks as far as that you can get.

(17:28):
You might be able to get him at a lower
cost if you miss out in drafts. So maybe just
keep that in the back of your mind first couple
of weeks. If Harvey doesn't come out the gates strong,
he might be someone you want to target in the
trade market if people are freaking out because of Dobbins,
I just like I said, he is way too explosive.
And a playmaker to keep him off the field too much.
I think that's going to rectify pretty quick, if not
in week one.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
Everybody likes a good value. How about a player that
had a great season in twenty twenty four and has
now fallen all the way twenty spots in real time
ADP over the last seven days, and his name is
Joe Mixon one O two overall RB thirty seven. I
know we start in the year in the pup. I
get it, and you don't like to draft players who
are already hurt. But at what point, Pat, do we say, Hey,

(18:12):
this guy's a tremendous discount. The theory is that at
some point he does come back and play, and people
are aggressively still drafting. Rushie Rice more on him later
in the show, even though he's gonna miss six games.
Now I understand one's healthy, one is not, but still
a third of the season, half of a season. A
little bit of a difference there. So Joe Mixon draft

(18:32):
or pass at his current ADP that is falling very quickly.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
Pass and it would have to fall into the late
rounds for me to have any interest whatsoever. A foot issue,
no bueno, it's possible. We don't see Joe Mixon this
year with this foot issue, and even if we do
see him, he's going to be running behind a really
bad offensive line.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
All right, So no, for Pat Morris Welsh, how about
you any scenario where you're taking a shot on mixing
here late.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
U zero, This is a hard pass. I have absolutely
no interest. You could argue, if he like his week
we have our week one rankings up, he's like, you know,
in the sixties because he's not gonna player whatever, Like
if that were his if it's like RB sixty in drafts, yeah, maybe,
if he's like, you know, RB five or six on
my team. But drafting a guy with like it's almost
mystery injury. We thank god we got information, but he

(19:23):
was already on my no draft list, because you know,
it's one thing to make these arguments about, you know,
the Christian mccaffreyes who have an injury history but are
good right now. It's another thing to be drafting players
that are currently on a on the list and going
to miss significant time. That also is more of a mystery.
So no, I really don't have interests. I think they
brought in Nick Chubb for a very specific reason. What

(19:43):
he marks looks pretty nice. I don't think they're going
to rush him back. The four weeks to me in
a snap could turn into eight weeks and then could
turn into him not coming back at all this season.
You know him from a production standpoint in general, like,
it did look good outside of the back end of
the year, but there's there's no risk reward here for
me on Joe Mixon. I don't think I'm gonna come
out the other side feeling really great about it. And frankly,

(20:06):
I'll bet you Joe Mixon is just going to get
cut really early, especially if you have a couple backs
that just pop in the first week on waivers. People
are gonna just be like, you know what, I just
don't even need to do this. So I have no
interest in Joe Mixon.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Hard pass all right, the boys are passing, I'm gonna
draft them late. It's got to be post one hundred
kind of where Pat's talking about, maybe even more. And
that's where it's going and that's where it's trending. And
it is a little mysterious, right. Some people call it
a foot issue, some people calling an ankle issue. Which
one is it?

Speaker 5 (20:33):
Why?

Speaker 1 (20:33):
Why won't anyone tell us anything in the NFL anymore?
Can somebody tell me? Screw the forty nine ers, screw
the Texans, tell me the truth. Just tell us the truth.
But there's money involved here.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
You can't handle the truth.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
Well, that was draft court yesterday. Go back and watching
the YouTube channel. But there's money in signing bonus at
risk here. And if I know one thing about NFL players,
they like to get paid. So I do expect Joe
Mixon to be back in the four week window here
when he returns. What it's going to look like, I
don't know, but I do say when you start to
dig a little deeper into this Joe Mixon scenario, there's

(21:07):
money involved in terms of bonus, in terms of time
he's gonna miss. That could be an issue here for him.
If he doesn't play the number of games. It's something
like seven million dollars could be on the line for him,
a lot of money. It's a lot of money here
for Joe Mixon. So I expect Joe Mixon back, And
I don't think we're overreacting. We should all react accordingly
to running backs with lower leg or foot or ankle

(21:29):
or whatever the hell is injury is that issue. But
don't forget about the money. At the end of the day,
these guys will push through certain things to get paid.
What it looks like, I don't know, but we shall
see one more running back. I want to talk about
real quick, actually running back group. The Washington Commanders JA,
Cory Krossky, Merritt, Chris Rodriguez, Austin Eckler, I think is
a giant committee. And I think anyone who's looking at

(21:50):
this is lying to you if they say they have
got the secret sauce. Now all these guys are going
at late ADPs. Ardriguez is kind off the chart. Really,
it's Eckler and Crosskey Merit. So well, El, we'll start
with you on this one draft or passed anybody in
the Washington commander backfield at their ADP.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
I am going to pass on this, and maybe that
would be a little bit of a surprise. I think
two weeks ago, obviously there was less clarity with it.
But like when Eckler was going into the late forties
or fifties or whatever, Krosky was obviously going like outside
the top fifties, there was there was more upside. And
then when the initial conversations around you know, like Brian
Robinson was going to get traded, there were still really

(22:26):
good values. But now that it has been solidified, I
think the values have jumped up a little too much.
You see Eckler going high into the thirties. We've seen
Bill Krofsky Merrit going to like the seventh rounds, some
people posting around the fifth round. I think it's gone
too crazy, and I think there is too much of
a committee here. I took a look at their carries
last year. You had three hundred and forty if you
just based it off last year, three hundred and forty

(22:47):
non quarterback carries last year, because don't forget Jane Daniels
is a really important part of this. So you had
three hundred and forty non quarterback carries one hundred and
eighty seven win to Brian Robinson. Eckler had around seventy seven.
So let's call it like two seventy that's left over,
which seems like a lot. But you've also got Debo
and Chris Rodriguez. Deebo's going to get carries in this offense.

(23:07):
He's gonna be annoying, especially when everyone's like, oh, here
comes my Bill Krosky and the five you know, red
zone touchdown. Nope, it's gonna go to Deebo. Debol's gonna
get some carries. Chris Rodriguez is going to get some carries.
So if you start to play that game, I think
Bill Krosky's probably sitting around like the one twenty five
to one seventy five carry range. It doesn't make him
not valuable, it just doesn't make sense. I think for

(23:29):
where his ADP is going. These ADPs on both of
these players have gone too high in full PPR. I
do have interest in Eckler if I'm in a really
deep league. Chris Rodriguez is kind of a fun shot.
It's so hard to get Bill Krosky right now. But
I think it is messy with one of the best
rushing quarterbacks in the NFL right now, and I just
don't think there's gonna be enough carries to go around
to justify flex based drafting of most of these guys.

(23:51):
So as a whole I'm gonna pass.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
Pat pass or draft pass on Bill, draft Eckler, draft Rodriguez.
Bill is just so we know he is not going
to get the high value touches. The pass receptions and
the short yardage work.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
Dan Quinn has come out and said.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
They're going to give the short yardage work to Chris Rodriguez,
and we know Eckler is going to be the pass
catching back, and as Welsh said, Jane Daniels is going
to get a ton of rushing yardage. And oh, by
the way, Deebo Samuel is around to get the occasional
rushing attempt. So I just don't see Bill having enough
value to generate, Like he's not going to live up

(24:36):
to the mania that we're seeing with him right now,
whereas Eckler, I think is probably going to lead this
backfield in snaps and maybe touches too, and like is
really easily draftable, like in the mid to late thirties
at running back.

Speaker 4 (24:50):
So I've been getting him a lot.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
And then Chris Rodriguez is like an end of the
draft dart throw that I'm happy to take if I
don't already have Eckler.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
All right, some sound advice there from the boys regarding
the Washington Commander's backfield, I am in agreement. Before we
move on to the wide receivers, don't forget if you
want to get in the game, best Ball is live

Speaker 1 (26:36):
All right, gentlemen, let's take a look at the wide
receivers and we're gonna play little draft or pass with
these guys. Let's start with a big dog, Tyreek Hill.
Not that long ago, Tyreek Hill was in that discussion
for the number one overall player. But unfortunately, some injuries
and the mess that is the Miami Dolphins have kind
of well slowed everybody's love a little bit of Tyreek Hill.
He's a little other year older the average ADP right

(26:59):
now is somewhere on the three thirty seventh player off the
board looking at the real time ADP, and that's an
interesting value wide receiver fifteen for a player that still
has the upside of a guy much much higher drafted
than that, coming off back to back years of explosive,
enormous seasons and then one disappointing year. Let me start
with you, Pat on this one Tyreek Hill draft or

(27:22):
pass in twenty twenty five, and mind you you are
getting a discount.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
I'll pass.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
I've been on the fence, but the vibes just have
not been great between Tyreek Hill and the team. And like,
I don't know what the Miami passing game is anymore, Joe.
Like we saw we saw Mike McDaniel, you know, direct
his production of Honey. I shrunk the passing game last
year with like twa tongue Iiloa having like an average

(27:48):
depth of throw of under six yards and everything going
to Devon Achen and John hu Smith and like Waddle
and Tyreek Hill getting totally left out of the mix.
Tyreek Hill has had, like I don't know, some egregious
drops in the last year. It's just I don't now
he's in his thirties. It's just too many things to

(28:09):
worry about here. What if Tua gets hurt again, I'm
just gonna pass. There's still other players I really like
in that part of the draft, and there's too many
questions with Tyreek.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
See, I'm gonna draft him pat and the reason is
because he's going almost as the fortieth player. There's been
leagues where he's my third wide receiver, like if you're
drafting from the one spot. We've done a lot of
mock drafts where I take Chase and then in the
you know, second third round, I get some guys and
sometimes Tyreek Kill will even make it back to like
the fourth round, And how do I pass on them
if my third wide receiver? And well, I don't know

(28:41):
where you are, but you made a case for the
gloriousness of Christian McCaffrey, but he costs you the seventh player. Overall,
there's a potential that, you know, you could have Tyreek
Hill and he could end up being a top five player. Again,
we're talking about a guy who not once but twice
seventeen hundred yards in this offense over those two years,
twenty touchdowns right and last year. Yeah, wide receiver twenty one.

(29:02):
It was disappointing. He was also injured a lot at
a couple different issues and ailments. Yeah, he is a
problem child. Yeah, Miami is a hot mess, but Welsh,
it is a discount. Can you pass on that draft
or pass Tyreek Hill? I can.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
I'm I'm a pretty firm pass on Tyreek Hill. He's
on my I mean, well, hell, you laid it out.
I suppose if he was a wide receiver three, I
can play that game. But I really haven't been in
that position. I mean, if you look at our ADPs currently,
he's actually the twelfth wide receiver on the consensus ADP.
Real time has moved him down a little bit to fifteen,
but he's going to be pushed up there.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Just to be clear, I mean a roster construction. I'm
an early wide receiver builder. So if he's going as
a thirty seventh guy, and I've got a top you know,
two or three pick here, I can get Chase or
Ceedee Lamb or somebody like that. I can turn around
and take a you know, a lad McConkie, and then
the third round, Tyreek Hill is just sitting there basically
in that early ADP, and I can go three wide
outs right away. It's a zero RB kind of build,

(29:58):
but it's possible. I just want to make sure I'm
not drafting him as a third wide receiver in the ADP.
I'm talking about a roster construction. Standpoint go ahead, Yeah,
I know.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
And that's like the layout like you've done a lot
of like fourth and fifth round running backs. It was
a lot more palatable too when like Hampton and Trevan
Henderson were going later they're now not, so like that's
an area where I think you're kind of making those decisions.
One of the distinctions I would put against McCaffrey and
Tyreek Hill is we have seen Tyreek Hill. Tyreek Hill's
production go down last year. That's not I mean, I

(30:27):
guess you can make some of the arguments on McCaffrey,
but like he was heavily, heavily tied to Tua. As
we saw Tua and his air yards drop, that had
a very direct effect to Tyreek Hill. Now in his favor,
he had like a massive increase in his areas around
like thirteen hundred versus the just under thousand that he
put up. But he's also already dealing with an oblique issue.

(30:49):
So thirty one years old, you've already got some oblique stuff.
You saw some production that was a downtick last year.
You can make the arguments that with John Hu out,
this could open up more opportunities, but like they didn't.
It was a ten percent design plays they ran for
Tyreek Hill last year, which I thought was weird, And
maybe maybe they'll change. I just don't feel optimistic about it.
Eleven games he had finished wide receiver thirty or worse

(31:12):
last year. I'm a Jayden, I'm a Wattle guy. I
think Jayleen Wattle is going to be the guy that's
gonna beig have the big bounce. I think Oli Gordon's
gonna move in this offense more. We'd like to pass
the ball to a chan who's kind of almost becomes
like a super number one wide receiver. So the whole
John O leaving to me doesn't correlate to Tyreek Hill
getting a big increase. I think it's a possibility, with

(31:33):
the upside that we know of Tyreek Hill that he
could kind of be a value, But I think where
ADPs are, where he's essentially a wide receiver one oblique
issue already out there Tua in general having such an
effect on him, he's a pass for me. I don't
want a lot of shares. I don't have a lot
of shares because I also don't my builds don't necessarily
go three straight wide receiver. I might feel a little

(31:53):
bit different if.

Speaker 1 (31:53):
I was in that spot, but I'm with Pat and
to your point, I don't think I would want him
as my number one wide receiver. If you're a heavy
RB guy in the third round there you're looking now
at tyreek Hill being your number one. No, that's that's
a tough pill to swallow. Let's talk about Ted McMillan
so you can get on the same page with this one.
Teed McMillan, look number one wide receiver for me in

(32:14):
this draft class, that's for sure. Wide receiver twenty six
overall and really dps actually moving up the boards three
spots in the last seven days, all the way up
to fifty nine overall. So Welsh, are we drafting or
passing Teto and McMillan.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
We are drafting. Give me tetroh A McMillan one hundred percent.
The news that we had today as we were recording this,
Adam thelen is officially out of town. You could do
it like both ways where you could be like, oh,
this is huge, you know, because theling's going to get
the target share. I think some people could also just
roll their eyes be like, oh, there's too many guys.
Does it really matter?

Speaker 1 (32:49):
I think it does.

Speaker 3 (32:49):
I mean, Deling was a really big safety blanket, so
that's like a plus for Jalen Kocher as well going
into the slot. But I think it's just another huge boost.
And I think it's also the team teams confidence level
being shown as well, that they're willing to give that
type of a consistent player. They're still trying to build
up Bryce Young in that they are comfortable because of
what Tetroha has done. I mean the college grades through

(33:12):
the roof, like ninety plus PFF college grades almost seventeen
yards per reception, thirteen hundred yards last year, great success
rate versus press, which I get really excited about. He's
going to find just really good points of separation against
cornerbacks as a rookie and he's going to get tons
of targets. And Bryce Young, by the way, started to
cook at the end of the year, finished just QB
two from weeks sixteen to eighteen had seven touchdown no picks.

(33:35):
He was actually running a lot as well. But I
think Tetro is put in a position where he could
be a slam wide receiver one this year. It's funny
because I feel like there's Marvin Harrison last year vibes,
but he was going as a wide receiver one. And
I think Tedrow is in a better spot this year
that he's going to be, as Bogwin would say, peppered

(33:55):
with targets, and I think he could live up to
what we wanted Marvin to be last year, and he's
coming at a not as lower of a cost because
he continues to rise. But I love Tetoroa as a
wide receiver three. He's probably going to have to be
comfortable as a wide receiver two, and I'm down with it.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
Yeah, Pat, A lot of this is about projecting next year. Two.
Then I think we're gonna be looking at McMillan probably
as a top fifteen wide receiver, So I'm comfortable drafting
him as the ADP continues to rise all the way
up until twenty, maybe even up until fifteen. To be
honest with you, like I'm willing to take that risk.
I think he's this year's Brian Thomas junior, the guy
that people aren't really on enough that is going to

(34:32):
help you win a fantasy league. Where are you? Are
you draft or pass at the ADP that is climbing
currently for Tedro McMillan.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
Couldn't agree more with you, guys. I have him wide
receiver sixteen here you got my rankings like he steps
in new a high volume roll right away as the
day one X receiver, top target earner for Bryce Young
Panthers are probably gonna have to throw quite a bit
because their defense does not look very good on paper.

(35:00):
And not only are they going to throw to them
a lot period, they're probably going to throw to them
a lot in the end zone because he's six foot
five and has a huge wingspan, so good touchdown potential here.
Dude runs good routes. Like wild said, he's great against
press coverage. She averaged one hundred and eight point eight
yards per game over his final two college seasons, and
he was a top ten draft pick like this one

(35:21):
is easy.

Speaker 1 (35:22):

There you go, easypas, Let's get to the next wide
receiver here on our list to discuss to draft her pass. Well,
it's another grouping. Well, Rushie Rice was the other part
of the news, not just Adam Thielintay Rushi Rice taking
the six game suspension. So now we know the waiting

(36:49):
game is over and now we're gonna watch that ADP
fall in real time because it is going to make
a difference this weekend. You watch, he is going to
fall from that seventy five overall and then I'm looking
at on Fantasy Pros he actually was down only two spots.
I think we're going to go more like double digits
by the time we get to Saturday or Sunday drafting.
So Pat, let's talk about Rice. Let's talk about worthy

(37:09):
of the current ADP and where they're going to be fluctuating.
Do you want to be involved? It's going to like
the commander situation, right, this is more of a choose
your path. Here are you drafting or passing these guys
in the Kansas City wide receiver room.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
This is my first qualified answer. I'm going to say
draft at appropriate prices.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
So what's that actor, let's talk about it.

Speaker 2 (37:29):
So I just got Rashid Rice in the ninth round
of a homely draft last weekend. I think that's pretty decent, Like, yes,
he's going to miss six games, but then you're going
to have him for the back half of the season,
the fantasy playoffs.

Speaker 4 (37:42):
Like that's pretty good.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
Although I don't think Rice is going to give you
the sort of production he did early last year when
Xavier Worthy had not established himself. Because Xavier Worthy did
come on late last year. Over the Chiefs last eight games,
including the playoffs, he had fifty catches. That's a one
hundred catch pace. But he's not catching one hundred bulls

(38:05):
with Rice around. Rice is not catching one hundred bulls
with Worthy around. I think they can both be like
wide receiver. Rice when he plays is probably a wide
receiver two, and Worthy is probably a wide receiver three
all year, maybe a wide receiver two while Rice is
out so don't overpay. If you pay something appropriate for

(38:26):
what those guys are going to be when they play,
then I think it's okay. Because I do think now
that Patrick Mahomes's weaponry, and now that he's got Josh Simmons,
who's a stud guarding his blind side at left tackle,
I do think the Chiefs passing game is going to
click again this year.

Speaker 1 (38:42):
All right back to you here, Welsh drafter pass, Rice Worthy,
any of these guys in the wide receiver room for
the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 (38:50):
This is a tough one. I mean, if I get
to do the thing that Pat's doing, I'm gonna kind
of agree, Like, I think there's caveats to it at
right costs. I think if we just play the game,
I think I'm going to just say pass as a
general statement, but I would put caveats to it. The
one thing I think that's goofy about this is like,
I'm shocked that everyone was so comfortable taking him where

(39:12):
he was prior the real ADP. Prior to the real ADP,
he was going off his wide receiver twenty seven and
he's now moved down to thirty two, and you're like, oh,
people are going to drop Why I had him in
the forties right now. I thought, I think eight games
was on the table, and if they drop that on
you in week three or four and you lose significant time,
that was a no draft for me. So I actually

(39:34):
think this is a positive. Please suspend him at the
top of the year, give him just six games. Maybe
he pushes it down to five, and then I've got
him the rest of the way through in a time
where you know it's a little bit more recovery. I
actually think that gives a much clearer path to Rashi
Rice to now. I think he becomes kind of draftable.
So you know, if I can get rice at, I
mean you should. You should probably value him in the

(39:56):
same general vicinity as like a Chris Godwin. You know,
Radwan just got like passes physical, but you know you're
probably gonna have pup in four games. It's the same
general sense. But I think like he I believe he's
going to get back to that big production. As much
as you know we like Xavier Worthy. He hit a
lot of nice design runs, but you know, low yards
after the catch, like I know, like Adak can get

(40:18):
up there. But I think you're gonna have a lot
of short design stuff where it's gonna be middle of
the field Kelsey and first target Rashi Rice. That was
what they established last year and I don't think they're
gonna move away from it. So all of this to
be said, like, I don't love this for Worthy, and
I think he's too expensive right now with these question marks.
I think Rice at the current value still doesn't make sense.
So that's why they're both going to be passes. But

(40:39):
my caveat would be Rice at the right price as
he continues to fall as like a wide receiver five
or something, is like something I will definitely do with
the clarity.

Speaker 1 (40:49):
I'm gonna be a pass here. I'm gonna keep it
simple and tell you why, because Rushie Rice needs to
drop away further. He's missing six games. That's almost half
of your regular fantasy season. That's all a long time
for a player to miss. And I think the inverse
is that Xavier Worthy's ADP, which I already don't love,
is gonna move up because people are gonna look at
it and say Rice is out. That means Worthy xyz

(41:10):
and I think sometimes that could be a little overrated. Sometimes.
I know we saw the end of the season Worthy
start to take up a little bit, but there's no
guarantees here that that's gonna be the case and it's
going to carry over. So for me, one going not
far enough, one gonna go too far. I'm out at
that current value. More wide receivers to talk about, but
first I want to talk about these shirts are wearing
again again. Chubby is one of the sponsors of today's show.

(41:30):
We're wearing the NFL versions of the Chubby shirts today. Welsh.
I gotta tell you, man, it's light, it's breathable, it
is like a very smooth shirt. Like I gotta tell
you the feel of the Chubby shirt unbelievably good. I
was shocked they said it to me, and I was like, Okay,
these are a little loud for me because I'm a

(41:51):
little bit more subdued kind of a guy. But I
love the shirt so much. I know so well clothing wise,
I'm kind of chill. I don't care it's loud, it's
out there. I'm ready to go. I love the shirt.
It is so comfortable. I would wear it to play golf.
I told FITZI he should have it. Go get his
Chubby shirt to go play golf in I would wear
it around the pool, I would wear it out. I

(42:11):
love this shirt. It's one of my favorites right now,
and this is the first time I got to wear
it here because we're on the show, So Welsh. Anything
to add on the chubby shirts say, because I got
to tell you, like, I was blown away by the
quality of the chubby shirt. I was like, Okay, another
NFL thing that they're sending us. Not this, man, this
is like the one oh one of shirts.

Speaker 4 (42:29):
I will tell you this.

Speaker 3 (42:30):
I'm a big polo guy, own a lot of polos
for a lot of shows. You're a big suit guy.
I'm a big polo guy. Hands down the most comfortable
polo that I own. It's not even close.

Speaker 1 (42:40):
Yeah, absolutely love it.

Speaker 3 (42:41):
And this tells you draft Christian McCaffrey and be comfortable
all your long.

Speaker 1 (42:46):
Well, I don't know. Maybe Chubbies can make you comfortable
with CMC. But I'll tell you what, at least you'll
be comfortable while you're in your draft. You can get
ten dollars off. It'll wait you right now with the
promo code Fantasy Pros go to chubbiesshorts dot com slash
Fantasy Pros. That's where you want to go again, that's
chubbiesshorts dot com slash Fantasy Pros. That way you can
get your ten dollars off when you use that promo code.

(43:08):
I'm telling you, man, the Chubbies has some really cool
stuff on the air. These shirts are fantastic. They look
like button downs. They're just the polo though, as Welsh
was pointing out there, so go get your Chubby shirts today.
Full endorsement here of Joey p and the Welsh. We
love the Chubby shirts and we just like saying Chubbies
on the airline. Not gonna lie. All right, Let's get
to Drafter pass this next wide receiver, Travis Hunter. Now

(43:28):
he's not going to be the number one in Jacksonville.
He's gonna be a two way player, or at least
partial two way player. So it's a little bit more
risk here when you're playing more snaps here, route running
is a little bit in question. Welsh, I'll keep this
one simple. I'm not drafting Travis Hunter at his current ADP.
He is going way too close to Piersoll, to Golden

(43:48):
to Egbuka, all those three wide receivers I like more
in their respective situations. I think they could carve out
those roles as the number one guy in their offense
at wide receiver. Pearsol has that route, Golden does. Eguka
would take an in, but still at least the number
two of Baker Mayfield is a pretty good spot to
be even open the season. Travis Hunter, I just can't
get there at the current ADP. Can you get there?

(44:09):
Draft or pass? Travis Hunter? Welsh?

Speaker 3 (44:11):
I can I am a draft now. I will say,
based on the names that you just said, like I
got Ricky Piersol way higher. I have him higher than Hunter.

Speaker 1 (44:18):
That's where he's going in real time. ADB He's right there.

Speaker 3 (44:21):
Yeah, No, I mean according to ADP, Egbuka and Ricky
Pirisol are below Travis Hunter. I have both of those
players over. I'm just saying based on that rank, I
get what you're saying on those players, but I also
think like him post thirty right now makes a lot
of sense. A lot has been made about the production
of slot receivers in Liam Cohen's offense. So just to

(44:42):
point out, twenty twenty two, get around twenty five points
from Cooper Cup, Chris Godwin put up twenty plus, and
that looks like the role that we're going to see
Travis Hunter in. It has also been stated that he
is a full time wide receiver and a part time cornerback.
That's been a big discussion. Pat and I have done
like a gajillion shows as of recent you know, over
the last couple of months, where like, that's the big
question that I think a lot of people are struggling with.

(45:04):
And it looks like he's going to be a full
time wide receiver. If you look at like Matt Harmon's
route tree stuff, he's actually a pretty big winner kind
of across the board. However they want to end up
using him and the projections are kind of wild in
the market. I have seen a very reputable place project
over eighty catches, which would be around the twenty most
receptions for a wide receiver in the NFL. I think

(45:25):
this offense is going to feature him running out of
the Slot's going to be a good spot. You can
have your arguments about if Trevor Lawrence stinks or not,
but I think they're going to be passing the ball
a decent amount. He's the ball is going to get
in his hands and he's going to be a big
playmaker and you know, like I come back to that
route running. However, they end up wanting to use him,
whether it's going to be across the field or not.
When the big plays aren't there for Brian Thomas, it's

(45:47):
going to be there for Travis Hunter. And I think
he is going to be out there way more than
people are expecting because I still see the arguments, Well,
if he's a sixty percent snap guy, I think the
snap percentages and offense are going to be way up
and we'll be talking about him. So for a wide
receiver of that talent to be going outside the top thirty,
especially when we're talking about Tedoa McMillan, I think those
guys might be a lot closer than you expect. This

(46:07):
offense and this coaching staff breeds to players like him
in that slot, and I think Travis Hunter is still
a smash draft.

Speaker 1 (46:15):
Pat break the tie Travis Hunter draft or pass.

Speaker 2 (46:18):
Well, she said they're going to feature him. You know,
there's this guy named Brian Thomas Junior. He's really good
at football.

Speaker 3 (46:23):
He's a pretty good player.

Speaker 4 (46:24):
So yeah, I'm going to fade the feature thing.

Speaker 2 (46:27):
I'm going to pass on Travis Hunter, and I do
have a fear of missing out, largely because he's going
to play that slot role, which we saw be really
valuable in Liam Cohen's offense last year. But yes, they
say he's going to be mostly offense, and Liam Cohen
is saying it's going to be like an eighty percent
snapchare for him. But like, I don't want to assume
that's locked in, Like they could adjust the dials on

(46:49):
the offensive in defensive usage as the season goes on.
Oh and by the way, the Jaguars cornerbacks not very good,
not very good, and they've got the Bengals on the schedule.
Do you think they're gonna want to leave Travis Hunt
on the bench when t Higgins and Jamar Chase are
running wild on them? Like, I just I have concerns
about that, Like they might shift that a little bit
in season. So it's a reluctance pass for me on

(47:13):
Travis Hunter.

Speaker 1 (47:14):
Yeah, it's a pass at the current group around him
for me. I think this is what was Like, I
love the player. I love Travis Hunter. I loved him
in college. Super fun, very talented young man, great guy.
Love to reformim. But again, the ADP that's where my
problem is. Let's switch gears, gentlemen, and let's wrap things
out with a lightning round here. Okay, we're gonna go
through draft or pass. I'm gonna give you some quarterbacks,

(47:35):
some tight ends, and some wide receiver rooms currently and
you tell me draft or pass. All right, everybody got
their hands on their buzzers. Let's play lightning round, draft
or pass. Let's start with Rams wide receivers at the
current ADP fits. The bacchiotomy has not happened yet for
Matthew Stafford. We'll see after the season if he has
that surgery. Drafter pass the Rams wide receivers.

Speaker 2 (47:56):
Oh pass, I worry about mutual cannon with Puka and
DeVante and the back issues.

Speaker 1 (48:03):
Okay, Welsh Drafter passed the Rams wide receiver room.

Speaker 3 (48:07):
Even Jimmy Garoppolo couldn't screw it up. Those wide receivers
are way way too talented. I am going to draft
Puka becomes a little bit Tougherdante Adams keeps kind of
sliding in drafts. Way too talented. There's gonna be tons
of volume regardless of who that quarterback is or back theotomies.
Even though I don't want Jimmy Garoppolo or Bennett. But
I'm going to say draft.

Speaker 1 (48:27):
Pooka and Akouba by the way, sliding all the way
to seventeen overall, that's where I'm I'm looking for that
discount today in a draft. So I'm going to draft
because now I'm getting a discount and I like that.
All right, let's go to the Saints wide receiver room.
Hard pass for me, Rattler shuck doesn't matter. Olave massive
concussion issues. I'm just worried about that kid. I'm a

(48:48):
hard pass Welsh. Where are you for the Saints wide
receiver room?

Speaker 3 (48:52):
I think it's a draft. They're all just so low.
I mean the first wide receiver O Lave checks in
at like wide receiver thirty four and a half PPR.
There definitely are some concerns and some worries, but a
Lave is a pretty easy slide in at like wide
receiver four. That defense is going to be bad, that
offense might the worry would be too bad, but there's
going to just be volume to these players. Rashidha heats

(49:12):
kind of interesting. Veley as the slot I kind of like,
but this is really built around a Lave being too
much of a value. So I'm gonna say, draft.

Speaker 1 (49:19):
All right, FITZI, Drafter pass the Saints draft O Lave.

Speaker 2 (49:24):
Even the worst passing offenses in the NFL usually give
us around three thousand passing yards all Lave has averaged
two point two one yards per out run for his career.
That's up with CD Lamb and Jamar Chase, Like he
is really really good and really undervalued.

Speaker 1 (49:37):
All right? How about justin fields? Does always look pretty Pat,
but it's fantasy points. Not the greatest thrower necessarily all
the time in the pocket, but fantasy points, Galower, Drafter
pass justin fields, Pat.

Speaker 2 (49:50):
I'm going to pass. I just think the passing outlook
is so bleak here. I know he's gonna run, and
then like there's double injury risk, Joe, because not only
could Field get hurt, what if Garrett Wilson gets hurt?
What would draft Kings and FANDU will be setting the
over under number at on Field's passing yardage if Garrett
Wilson didn't play in a game like ninety nine and
a half.

Speaker 4 (50:11):
I mean it's just bleak.

Speaker 1 (50:13):
Well, I mean, how could you say something for the
Jets will go wrong? Pat? That seems like a crazy
thing to say it out loud. Welsh draft pass justin
fields draft.

Speaker 3 (50:21):
You're not drafting him for his passing acumenty. You want
him for the rushing. He was QB seven last year
in fantasy points over six games twenty twenty two. We've
talked about it. QB six, better offensive line, better pieces
out there. The rushing upside makes him a top ten
quarterback draft.

Speaker 1 (50:36):
QB fourteen and super Flex. Yeah, I'll draft him there.
I like him as a second quarterback in super flex leagues.
All right, let's get to Drake May. Oh, the hype
train is real for Drake May. I'm wearing a Patriots shirt,
so I'm gonna sit this one out for a while.
I'll see what the boys have to say first draft
or pass. Drake May getting a lot of helium recently
in a lot of our discussions on the show's Welsh.

Speaker 3 (50:58):
You know what I actually wanted to say, But his
value is too good. I think Drake May is fun.
I think a lot of it's built around. If you
can see more design stuff for him to run, there's
more upside. But I kind of think he's going to
stick around like QB between QB ten and fourteen this year.
I don't think he's going to crack that top five,
but his value is too good. He's QB sixteen on
a ADP. So even though I don't see his quite

(51:20):
as much upside, I think he got a draft him
because that value he has not gotten. He doesn't risen
up because of all the buzz and hype.

Speaker 1 (51:27):
Pat in real time ADP, he's QB thirteen. We just
did draft court yesterday where I said a perfect scenario
late round Dak Prescott and then back it up just
in case with Drake May. I did that last night
in a draft. I think that's a good practice. What
do you think?

Speaker 4 (51:42):
Draft?

Speaker 2 (51:42):
Drake May is my QB eight. I think he could
give you rushing numbers very similar to what Justin Fields.
Maybe not quite what Fields is going to give you,
but he is a vastly superior passer to Justin Fields.

Speaker 4 (51:54):
All right, he just got engaged.

Speaker 1 (51:56):
Just got engaged yesterday. Travis Kelcey real time eighty for him,
the sixty seventh player, the sixth tight end, number sixty
eight somewhere around there. Over All, his holding steady right now,
Pat Drafter passed the aging Travis Kelcey after a year
last year where he did seem to lose a step,
although the stats were still pretty solid.

Speaker 2 (52:16):
In PPR, I'm gonna say pass just because I want
Bowers er Kittle early or I want Kraft or Tyler Warren.

Speaker 1 (52:23):
Late late or great. That works for me. Welsh, how
about you Drafter pass Kelsey.

Speaker 3 (52:28):
I'll put a ring on it, But I think that's
that's a positive of what Fitzi's saying, Like, there are
other guys that I want, but you know you have
Rice out. He's gonna be a red zone option. He
got all the targets in the world. So I will
put a ring on it, but I think it comes
with a little bit of a caveat.

Speaker 1 (52:43):
Yeah, I might have viat is wise. I think the
later you get him the better. But in the middle,
I'm kind of more like we're Pat is later great.
Speaking of late, maybe Pat just gave away the game here.
Tyler Warren last year brock Bauers was tight end ten.
Right now he is tight end eleven. FITZI pretty safe
to say you are drafting Tyler Warren. Correct.

Speaker 2 (53:02):
Yeah, It's like George Kittle and Jeremy Shockey had a
baby and it was Tyler Warren. So yes, it's a
lot of havoc after the catch.

Speaker 1 (53:10):
I wondered how much tequila was consumed for that to happen.
Welsh Drafter passed Tyler Warren as the late tight end
that everybody wants we're drafting.

Speaker 3 (53:21):
I don't want it to rise up too much, but
if you miss on the top three, you should be
targeting Craft or Tyler Warren on the back end of
the tight end. So that is a draft.

Speaker 1 (53:30):
Yeah. Despite Daniel Jones being there, I to him drafting
Tyler Warren. You know he was pretty good with Evan
Ingram back in the day too. I think Daniel Jones
maybe a little bit of a breath of fresh air
from New York, getting out of New York, maybe a
little reset. Maybe he could at least give us something
good in Indianapolis. We shall see. I'm not holding my
breath too much, but I do like the adp of

(53:51):
Tyler Warren to Fitzi's point, So there you have it,
the guys who were drafting, the guys that were passing on,
and the guys who are well. Circumstantial evidence for all
of that. But what do you think? Drop your comments below?
