Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome in everybody to Fantasy Pros. This is the Fantasy
Football Podcast. It is me Joey P joe pis Apia,
and it's time to look ahead to the waiver wire
for Week seven in the NFL. And to help me
do it, my Patty Cakes Pat Fitz Morris in a
very good move because the Brewers are moving on after
this weekend. I watched it, I was rooting for you, Pat,
and I didn't jinx it on our Saturday stream. I said,
(00:21):
no predictions. You predicted they would lose, and of course
you didn't want to jinx it, So no jinks. They're
moving on, and of course Debro Derek Brown, the King
of Bros, who's got all the Rico Dawdle shares you
could possibly handle, and is loving life right now. And
I'm loving life too because last week, if you're watching
the betting Pro shows, I went on kind of a
week long monologue. I think I talked about it in
(00:43):
every show because I wanted to send out the flyers,
wanted to send that flair way up in the sky
for everybody to see. The Baker Mayfield was plus nine
to fifty for MVP, and this morning we wake up
and Baker Mayfield is now plus three point fifty form
after beating the forty nine ers or whatever's the left
of the forty nine ers. And you know what, I
(01:04):
think the Buccaneers might be the best team in the NFC.
I bet them to win the NFC. I am all
in on Baker Mayfield. Pad Am I crazy? Am I
just feeling the vibes and wear my Bucks shirt today.
I'm getting very excited about Baker Mayfield and what that
Bucks team's been doing these last few weeks. That's a
big win there for the Buccaneers.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, not crazy at all, Joe. And two high profile
games coming up, one this week when the Buccaneers visit
Detroit's and h Baker could be down a few weapons
in that one. So if he can beat the Lions
on the road with his depleted weaponry, I mean that
is gonna it might be even money.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
And that I mean that might be it, right, I mean,
de bro, we keep hearing that the Evans injury is
one that like, while he's maybe we get him next week. Well,
now with the Igbuka injury, it feels like there's a
little bit of pressure there because it is such a
big game. But to Pat's point, if he's out there
with the Johnson Boys and Sterling Shepherd and he goes
on the road, and you know, Baker Mayfield on the
(02:02):
road as an underdog is about as goes against in
terms of money in the bank. I mean, I don't
know how you stop this narrative of Baker Mayfield and
the maturity and the growth and all this stuff. But
really it's the continuity of what the Buccaneers have done.
And people thumb their nose and roll their eyes when
they took a mecha Buka. Nobody's laughing now except the
Buccaneers because they got another stud wide receiver who's gonna
(02:24):
take him through the next decade with Baker Mayfield. The Bucks,
I think are the most dangerous team right now in
the NFC, in a time where I think everyone's looking
around the NFC and saying, who is the best team.
The Eagles are struggling, you know, the Rams and are
kind of struggle bus right now, Pooka's hurt. So who
do you think is the best team in the NFC
right now?
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Oh, good lord, that's a I think it's the Bucks.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
I'm gonna straight out just say it.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
I think you can make a case of the bucks.
That's the thing, because Baker Mayfield's playing at such a
high level. Like I wrot it up at the prime
of this last week, I was like, no, receiving weapons
doesn't matter, No offensive line doesn't matter, starting running back
out doesn't matter. Baker Mayfield's just like, come on, boy, Yeah,
like eat, don't care man, And.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
It's awesome to see.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
Look, I'll throw this out of her last part about Baker.
I love to see everything that he's doing. And I
love the quote that came out this last week when
he talks about the perception of who he is as
a player and early in his career he's cocky, he's immature,
and now it's all moxie and now he's a dog.
Cleveland Browns, y'all never deserved this guy. Buccaneers fans enjoy.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Yeah, winning does change everything. Also, speaking of winning, we've
got a winner for our NFLPA Waltsmack giveaway from Trophy Smack.
And I don't know why they do this to me,
but congratulations. The winner is slowly the pony, slowly the pony.
You're the big winner. So I don't want to not
be excited but I feel like they choose these sometimes
(03:44):
just to make me say them on the podcast. So
h please slowly the pony. Hit us up when you
get off your when you pull into John Yeah, when
you pull into the barn. Yeah. Make sure, slowny pony,
you you hit us up at mailbag at fantasypros dot
com with your mailing address screens out of your Tube account,
and of course we'll confirm that and get that Walt
Smack sent out to you right away. And again that's
(04:05):
congrats to Sloaney the pony and kids.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
No loves ponies, come on.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
No, no, no, I don't like ponies.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
I don't like horses ponies.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
I'm not a horse guy. I'm just a city boy.
It's just a city boy. When one giveaway runs away,
another one takes its place. And this week we're back
to the Fantasy Football Championship Belt. Now they forget ponies.
This is this is the pony. This is the one
right here, the Championship Belt from our good friends at
Trophy Smack, the number one destination for epic fantasy football hardware.
(04:40):
This is your moment, everybody to get it. It's massive,
it's gold plated, it's awesome. You can hit one of
your league mates and steal their pick with it next
year at the draft, or you can just display it
in the case above the mantle, right above the fire.
Either way, how you win. You subscribe to the channel
and drop your comments below. You ring the belts so
it goes dag and you like this video.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
That's all you gotta do, and we'll be announce the
winner right here on the channel. And God knows what
that person's name is gonna be, but I will read
that regardless because that's my job. All Right, It's time,
ladies and gentlemen to get to the waiver wire pickup
of the week, and we have to start with a
Charger running back. Nope, it's not Hassan Haskins. It is
Kmanie Vai Dall and I hate saying this. Derek Brown
(05:18):
was right, Oh God, Derek Brown was right. Eighteen carries
were one twenty four for him. Also had three receptions
on four targets for fourteen yards and a touchdown, so
it was a huge day. But it was against the
Miami Dolphins, So Pat, I'm gonna keep Derek Brown on
the corner for a little while because I know he
wants to victory Lapis, So instead let's go to you
here on this one, and let's talk about what you saw,
(05:39):
Like the Dolphins of the gift that always keeps on giving.
But if you look at the schedule here some mixed
bag of matchups coming up and the trade deadline, which
I think the Chargers still want to get somebody else
into this backfield. So when you take that into account,
you take into account he's already forty five percent rostered
on Sleeper, he's less on Yahoo. Where would you set
your band on Kamani Videll with the matchups and the
(06:02):
looming trade deadline ahead, based on what you saw against
the Dolphin tine that is the worst in the NFL
against the Rush.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
I just wish I had the courage of my convictions
to have been more in on Kamani Videll over the
sort of plotting Hassan Haskins. You know, I was like
a Videll truther last year. Really liked the contact balance
and like a little bit of wiggle too, and I
thought he was maybe kind of slow, and then he
ran a pretty good forty time at the combine, so
(06:29):
he outsnapped Hassan Haskins forty three to twenty and out
touched him twenty one to seven. H So, like Omar
and Hampton can't come back until week ten at the earliest.
So I don't know if they trade for anyone Joe,
if they expect to get Hampton back. And you know,
there hasn't been any ominous reporting about the injury that
(06:50):
he might miss the rest of the season, So I
don't know for a good four or five week runout
for Videll. We're recommending a thirteen dollars bid as sort
of the true value for Videll, but in a league
where it's competitive and you're really hurting it running back,
you might have to go up to like twenty five,
all right, So they have a buy in week twelve.
This is the schedule that leads up to a debro.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
Indianapolis Golts, Minnesota Vikings, Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers, Jacksonmokee Jaguars.
That's a mixed bag. You know, you got Jacksonville, Pittsburgh,
Minnesota pretty good defense? Is Indianapolis plucky on defense? Luanna
Romo is doing a really good job there. Tennessee not
so much, but I mean, how do you I understand
being all in this week for cheap on Vidal in
this matchup. But now it's different, Like now if we
(07:33):
sit down at the waiver wire, you have to really
make a decision to Pat's point, which is how good
can he be for the next few weeks. Does Amarin
Hampton just come back in here, or does Viidal have
a chance to really kind of not take this job
but kind of cement himself here a little bit where
they don't start continue at least to kick the tires
on other running backs via trade or even free agency.
Speaker 4 (07:53):
Yeah, I mean, I think right now Kamani Videll has
got the runway to prove that he can be the guy,
and I think the upcoming matchups kind of lin themselves
in his favor. Like you can run on Indy. We've
seen that Minnesota is a much tougher pass defense than
a run defense, and you can run on the Tennessee Titans.
So I think he's got this three week stretch of
games to kind of prove can he be the guy
(08:14):
before the Charges maybe make a move. And I mean
we've heard rumblings like I mean, I think like it
was Ian Rappaport and others posting this week that the
Chargers are kicking the tires on running backs. Now, whether
that's Breese hall Off in Kamara, we don't even know,
because both those guys have come out and said they
want to stay with their teams.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
I don't think with his team anymore. I don't know
if Aaron Glenn wants to stay with this team anymore.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
In coaching job.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
Horrible coaching job by Aaron Glenn, Like just yeah. Kurt
Warner was on that broadcast about to like blow a
gasket because he's like, I don't understand what they're doing.
But with Kamani Videll, like I think, like Pat, what
he's talking about here, Like, you're probably gonna have to
spend twenty to twenty five percent in most leagues and
right now with a lot of teams. I mean, come on, guys,
we're all out there in the fantasy landscape. How many
(08:58):
teams do you have that are hurting from injuries or
that are teetering on the brink of going down the tube,
that are you know, only got two wins, three wins,
you know, what have you? I mean, So for those teams,
which is a lot of people in fantasy right now. Yeah,
spend spend again him because he was the clear lead back.
And I know the Dolphins are horrible, but the upcoming
three matchups for a Vodell are are really good. They're
(09:20):
startable for sure, I think.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
So, I mean, like looking at him on in the backfield,
like Pat talked about, he had a fifty six percent
route here, Like the dude had twenty one touches and
one hundred and thirty eight total yards.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
And I watched most of that game. Vodell look good.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
He looked decisive, shifty, The second gear is not there,
like he's not pulling away from guys, and there was
no lanes and a lot of that was the Dolphins.
But the upcoming three matchups are good, and I think
he's going to have RB two value in those. So
you have to figure out is that worth it for
my team? And I think that's where twenty to twenty
five percent.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
Yeah, I don't know if I want to go that crazy.
I think the Dolphins have layed those numbers of anybody,
I really do. I mean, watching them that's fair. Watching
the Dolphins not tackle anybody is just stunning. Maybe even
we're studying. He's watching two a tongue of by Low
and press conferences after too. By the way, too, you
know buye's this coming week here for week seven Baltimore
and Buffalo. So no Derrick Henry, no James Cook, those
(10:10):
another you're fighting with those people too on the waiver
wire from more running back hell potentially. So let's keep
looking at the guy who was supposed to be the
starter but not really. I mean, what does that mean?
Bam Knight eighteen percent rostered? So the Arizona Cardinals threw
us a curveball on the weekend where they say, oh yeah,
Bam Knight's gonna be the starter, and Deebro, I always
(10:30):
feel like this. We've had this conversation million times. Every
time I hear that, I rush to start the other guy.
I just feel like this is the most overrated nonsense.
I don't understand why it happens. We try here to
give you good information all the time, and whenever I
hear someone's name of the starter out of nowhere, it
always kind of, you know, just doesn't ring true for me. Now,
he did save the day with a touchdown. He is
(10:51):
eighteen percent rostered. So is Bam Knight, somebody you're interested
in going forward with on the free agent wire in
Week seven?
Speaker 4 (10:59):
I am, but this is the guy that is the
tentative spin for me, because I think this backfield just
could be a freaking mess. I mean, we got that
news from schefter. I mean, what was an hour hour
and a half for kickoff and everybody's like what, yeah, okay,
well that's that's new. He ended up playing fifty one
percent of the snaps. He only had a twenty eight
percent rout chair so he was the early down guy,
(11:20):
got eleven out of twenty one running back carries and
all the goal line work. I just think this is
just Jonathan Gaan and still flailing as a head coach.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
And the upcoming matchups.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
Are okay ish, Like they get Green Bay, Dallas, Seattle,
San Francisco, Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, most of those run defenses.
I don't want the early down guy for so Bam Knight,
this is the guy that I'm more likely to just
be like, look, I'll toss that five percent. I'm not
going higher than that. Somebody else gets him, have fun, Pat.
I think he's a complete trap.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
Honestly, I really do think got the Green Bay Packers
next week, Pat, and then they have a bye. So
really it's like, what are you spending for onm Bam Knight.
I feel like if you want Bam Knight, just wait
another week and when he gets dropped back to the
waiver wire on that bye week, and then you can
get him for free and sneak him through. I wouldn't
spend anything on him, to be honest with you, but
maybe you see things differently. Pat. How do you parse
his value week seven and beyond?
Speaker 2 (12:12):
No, I don't see it that much differently, Joe. It's
he is a committee back like he did outsnap Michael Carter,
but it was only a thirty seven to thirty two margin.
Ben Night at twelve touches Carter head eleven. I'm kind
of with you, like he's not going to add a
lot of pass catching value and like you said, kind
of a tricky matchup at Green against Green Bay this week,
(12:34):
then the bye, then Dallas not a bad matchup in
week nine, but at that point you're maybe close to
a return for Trey Batson.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
All right, let's talk about a couple stashes to you
again at RB If Brisol is dealt and I still
believe that the Jets should deal him. There's no You're
done New York Jets. Sorry. I wake up every morning
and thank the Good Lord that somehow I did not
become a Jets fan living in the Tristate area. I'm
just saying, like, thank you, thank you, thank you. I
really appreciate that. But trade Brice Hall, like, it's fine,
(13:06):
It's not going to change the trajectory of your season.
And if so, Isaiah Davis is a guy you have
to have. He's eleven percent rostered. We we still keep
waiting for Brishard Smith. Maybe it's never going to happen
at thirteen percent. So let's say Davis and Smith are
both out there, pat, who do you think is the
better stash going forward here? If you're in a deeper league.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
I do think it's Davis a buck or two and
you could possibly have yourself a featured back, whether through
trade or maybe Brice Hall gets hurt at some point.
Granted a featured back and not a very good offense,
but you know, the offensive line isn't trash. The Jets
have some pretty good guys up front, so I like that.
(13:44):
I mean, although Justin Fields did get sack nine times,
nine times, nine times yesterday. That's crazy as.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
Many absences as first buellerhead lot.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
I just the Chiefs backfield is just going to be
a mass no matter what. And I don't think anyone
is taking it over. And with Rashi Rice coming back
this week, I'm not sure any running back in Kansas
City is real substantial value.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
It's frustrating, is it? De Bro because I feel like
we all see it, like I saw that what one
Burshage Smith moment, I go ooh, oh look there he is.
Oh look look good. Let's get him the ball again. Nope, nope, no,
we just we just don't care. We just know, let's
get Hollywood Brown some some Jets sweeps. Let's let's do that.
Like It's just it's just not in the cards that
the Chiefs offense is too gimmicky. And once again another
running back will die on the vine in Kansas City.
(14:26):
It's very frustrating to watch. But you know, if we
haven't learned our lesson from Clyde Edwards A layer, I
guess we'll never learn.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
It's sad.
Speaker 4 (14:35):
I mean, we can all see the juice slipper Shortsmith
has versus Kareem hunting Isaiah p Checko and then it's twofold.
For me, it's it's the fact that they will not
feature the kid. And the other part is Andy Reid
just doesn't give any qualms about not running ball. He
does not want to know at all, so like it's
also and.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
If he does, it's these weird gimmick runs. It's these
gimmick runs where there's like three fakes before we hand
the ball off and it's like a jet sweep reverse
the bor Like it's just you know, whatever we found
in nineteen forty seven in some college football game that
you know worked once, So we're gonna go run it
out there. It's fun, but it's not fun for fantasy.
All right, let's talk about guys to drop here at
the running back position. I'll start with kenn of gain Well.
(15:13):
A lot of people were saying, oh, look at gain
Well in that game before the bye week in the
international world where no Jaylen Warren. Well, guess what nothing
this week against the Cleveland Browns. Would you drop gain Well?
Speaker 4 (15:23):
Debro, Yeah, I mean he's he's in a handcuff territory,
So it depends on what handcuffs do you want on
your team.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
I mean, so if you have warn you keep them, yeah, okay?
Speaker 4 (15:33):
Or I mean if you want to play the handcuff
game then sure, I mean like, but yeah, I mean,
do you drop him for any one of these guys
we've talked about previously, Like I would drop game well,
for Isaiah Davis, I'm like, I want to. As rough
as that sounds, I just believe in the town of
Isaiah Davis more. But I'll add a name to this too,
Joe Mario Demarcado. He's firmly in the doghouse.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
If you got no kidding, Hassan Haskins after the Vidal performance,
would you drop him, Pat or would you hold on
a little longer?
Speaker 2 (16:03):
I think I'd probably drop I don't think even if
something were to happen to Idel, I don't think Haskins
is going to get a backfield to himself. Then I
think they'd work in a lot of Nahem Hines on
passing downs. You might see Amar Johnson promoted from the
practice squad. I don't think he's been promoted yet, So yeah,
I think you can get rid of Haskins all right.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
Coming up next the wide receiver talk, and Puka Nakua
looks like he's going to miss some time. That information
just came through here as we're recording this program. We're
gonna get you caught up on that. But also I
want to remind you of today's sponsor, hard Rock Bet.

All right, so Pukaakua has got an ankle sprain. No
(17:53):
surprise there. They didn't use the word high ankle, at
least not from what I'm seeing yet. But we're not
going to have them this week. So another wide receiver,
and I'm assuming too is like Buka goes for an MRI.
We're probably not going to have him this week either.
I know it's and it's a huge game for the
Bucks because the lines are down a little bit. If
you get a big road victory over them, Pat, that's
(18:17):
like the difference between home field advantage and the playoffs
right now. Because I think the forty nine ers are lackluster,
the Rams are lackluster. Right the Eagles ta get two
losses in a row, the Buccaneers could go out there
and assert their dominance. I don't know if they get
Evans back, We'll see, but I think it's unlikely eving Buka.
So we're missing a lot of guys now at the
wide receiver position. Hopefully we get Ceedee Lamb back this week.
But let's talk about Kendrick Bourne, because I think the
(18:40):
sentiment was sure, Kendrick Bourne flexworthy this week. Mac Jones
is playing you like what you saw. Maybe Juwan Jennings
gives him a little bit of a problem there, but
still maybe a double digit point guy in PPR, but
probably not gonna put up one hundred and forty yards again.
Well we were wrong. He put up one hundred and
forty yards again, everybody, and that is just stunning. Here,
(19:01):
Pat fitz Morris, talk to me about Kendrick Bourne, because
I'm at a loss for words about this guy. I mean,
he's been around the league for a while. He has
never had a back to back series of games anything
quite like this.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
And he's looked great straight games at the one hundred and
forty two yards, played about eighty percent of the offensive
snaps in both played with Mac Jones in both games,
and those two seem to have some sort of strange
magic working, some chemistry. But I just wonder if we
might be boarding the train late here, Joe like it,
(19:35):
things might look different this week. It's possible the forty
nine ers get George kittleback. It's possible the forty nine
ers get Ricky Piersoll back, It's possible to get brock
Perty back, and will Bourne click with Purdy the way
he has right Jones? So I just worry that adding
Borne now is you've already missed the good stuff and
we're headed towards sort of a different role for him.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
All right. So for those people who will say in
the comments, when was Guy's roster diff No, he's not.
He's fifty one percent roster on sleeper. So unless you
are running the sleeper roster percentage, which I don't think
you are out there in the YouTube comments you're wrong.
So fifty one percent rostered? Is he a trap? Debro?
Or is he somebody that's established himself in what I
like to call a very productive system. Rock Perty was
(20:19):
good in the system. Mac Jones is good in the system.
Brandon Ayuk good in this system. Juwan Jennings last year
good in this system. This is why I didn't think
they should pay Brandon Ayuk two years ago. Like this
is why I thought this was a terrible idea, because
the system will yield whoever you put in it with
half a brain to somehow come out victorious. And Kendrick
Bourne is kind of proving that. But to Pat's point,
(20:41):
what does it look like in a week or two? Obviously,
and if you look at the schedule here for them,
they've got the Atlanta Falcons, Houston Texans, New York Football Giants.
Now they did lose Fred Warner here, so perhaps they
find themselves in a little bit more of shootout territory.
That's a big piece off the defense. So what's your
take on Bourn? Is he a trap? Did we miss
the trade to leave the station?
Speaker 4 (21:02):
I don't so I think we might have missed the
train for these highest ceiling performances, like nobody should have
the expectations going forward that he continues to do what
he's done in the last two games, which is just insane.
But I think as like a wide receiver three flex play,
I think he can return value on that because he
could be this year's Juwan Jennings. Yeah, that that that
I do think is possible. And I know people say, like, oh, well,
(21:23):
the high end moments of Juwan Jennings. Now I'm talking about,
like you look at the totality what Juwan Jennings did
last year, a lot of weeks wide receiver three type
of production, solid flex play PPR formats. He could be
that guy this year, even with Piersall and Kittle coming back,
because I don't know if we see a fully healthy
version of Juwan Jennings this year. Brandon Ayuk, he's still
not like full ramp up. I don't know if we
(21:44):
when we see him. So Kendrick Bourne, I'm not saying
that he continues this type of production of the last
two weeks, but to Pat's point, like, yeah, Piersaw and
Kittle are coming back, I don't want to overspend like
five to seven percent of fab I think it's totally fine.
Now in some leagues that could get you Kendrick Bourne
and other ones, you're gonna miss out. But I'm not
gonna overspend chasing the last two weeks. While I do
(22:06):
think that he continues to have viability and flex appeal
moving forward, is.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
Josh Downs a better edition long term because he's also
rostered in about fifty percent of leagues. And look what
he's done the last two weeks. Look, he's had twelve
receptions on fifteen targets for one hundred yards in a touchdown.
So I mean, are we seeing Josh Downs start to
build that rapport here with Daniel Jones maybe a little
later than we anticipated.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
I like Downs, but again, like I liked him the
last two weeks prior, like like, I wrote him up
with the primer as a as a really good flex option.
This week, the upcoming matchups really don't like well. Pittsburgh
in the next three matchups are the one that you
really need to look at. The other two matchups aren't
great for slot receivers. He did only play in Week
six fifty percent of the snaps. He had a sixty
percent route share so those numbers aren't great, But what
(22:53):
we are seeing out of Josh Downs is when he
is on the field for the Cults, they're hyper targeting him.
So yeah, in that flex bucket, sure, I'm like I
can get in on Josh Downs moving forward.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
Pat, He's got the Chargers and the Titans the next
two weeks. Shosh Downs, do you think he's more worthy
of your fab budget as opposed to Burn.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
I'm just a little worried about investing in a guy
who's only played more than sixty percent of his team's
offensive snaps once this season, and that once was just
barely over sixty percent at sixty two percent. And maybe
he gets hyper targeted in the right matchups, but the
Colts do kind of spread the ball around. They've got
three good receivers, you know, They've got Pittman and Alec
(23:32):
Pearce is kind of underrated too, and of course tight
end Tyler Warren and Downs is just sort of this
low impact receiver, low averaged at the target. He's averaging
eight point three yards per catch, and he did have
the touchdown yesterday, but I mean he's got eight touchdowns
in thirty seven career games.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
Yeah, this is Fitzi's Wando Robinson. He's not a fan.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
Yeah, you know, it was on.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
The field a lot, I thought last night, And I
didn't even get up this morning to look at the percentages.
Was it was that crazy? Or was Isaac teslat on
the field a ton last night?
Speaker 2 (24:01):
It's like he's become their third receiver now, it's.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
I mean right, like he was on the field a
ton last night. Deep, bro, do you have those numbers
there or the snap percentage that he had last night?
Because no, it was one of those things like you're
watching the game, you just start observing it, and I'm
always looking for him because I got a couple you know,
I've got a couple of shares in some deeper leagues
waiting to see maybe something happened.
Speaker 4 (24:20):
I mean, to your point show he played a season
high forty six percent of snaps.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Like I'm not crazy, Well I am crazy, but but
I'm right about this. Well yeah, I'm right about this.
And it's just something like you start to notice it
because you're actually looking for him and you're like, oh,
he's out there again, Boy, he's out there again, always
out there in this spot. Now he's not getting a
lot of targets. But he's out there. That's the beginning.
That's how it starts. That's how it works. Kids. All right,
let's talk about two Patriots wide receivers. Oh boy, that
(24:48):
Drake May Fitzy. He looks like he's gonna be pretty good.
What an incredible statute did you see this? Uh age
of twenty three or younger quarterbacks to have three straight
games of one hundred passer rating and two hundre yards.
Only three guys Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Dan Marino and
now a fourth one Drake May interesting company there?
Speaker 3 (25:08):
You like that?
Speaker 1 (25:09):
You like that Staton nugget. I always got the nuggets.
I bring the nuggets here. Kayshawan Bute, who is a
darling in week one and everybody got sour and dropped
him in. Stefon Diggs popped off well, Kasehon Budy had
a big day, big touchdown catch, their incredible catching, great
throat too, and the only spot where you could possibly
get that ball was stunning, great coverage by that corner too.
(25:30):
And then to Mario Douglas seven percent rostered, who had
another one big play kind of made up his day.
I don't want to Chase Douglas Debro but Kayshan Boudy again,
you know, it feels like maybe there is room now
as Drake May is developing. And I just threw that
stat out. We all knew it was gonna be a
very Stefan Diggs centric week last week against the Buffalo Bills.
(25:51):
But if Drake May is going to be this guy
now who's just spreading the ball around, that makes him
more dangerous and it makes Kayshan Boudy potentially a little
bit more intriguing. What are your thoughts?
Speaker 3 (26:01):
It does make it more intriguing.
Speaker 4 (26:02):
I just worry about like because again after the Week
one performance, I was all in on Booty going in
a week two and then it was like, oh, he
comes down with a touchdown grab and I'm like, we're
off for the races.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
That's it, and That's what I'm like.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
And then weeks two through five he doesn't have any
more than two receptions of twenty eight receiving yards in
any game. And then he goes the week that I'm
all in on Stefan Diggs and I'm like, look, he's
a wide receiver.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
Two, everybody's gotta play him.
Speaker 4 (26:27):
Digs goes Simon and Booty goes off for a big
game and I'm like, oh, come on, man, like what
do we But this all comes down to, like, yes,
I think the New England Patriots are spreading the ball around,
Drake May is finding open receivers, whether that's Digs or
Hunter Henry or Stefan Diggs. There's gonna be volatility, but
Booty is definitely worth a pickup. It just comes down to,
like Patty knows how I feel about this. This is
(26:49):
kind of feeling like when you decide to play a
Green Bay Packers wide receiver and you're like, yes, let's go,
and then they give you one catch for twenty yards
and you're like the process.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
The process was, process was good.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
And you're like, ah, there's no fantasy points.
Speaker 4 (27:05):
But Booties were the pickup. And the next two matchups
against Tennessee and Cleveland are really good. Both top twelve
and PPR points allowed to perimeter wide receiver. So pick
him up, but don't overspend because with the high end
moments and the flexipial that he does carry, the low
parts of those production moments are there as well, so
there's volatility.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
Debro actually brought up a great point I was going
to bring up, which is the schedule the next couple
of weeks. These guys might be viable here, especially through
the buys. Pat, do you have any love for a
boute I know Douglas probably not as much with one
big play there. But again, you know, it's like, if
May is progressing at this rate, which is kind of
stunning the last couple of weeks, maybe we have to
readjust our thought process a little bit.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
Yes, kish on Booty I like it more than Debro,
who is going on try to sell you a little
later on a Houston Texans receiver. I'm not real interested
and I would much rather have kaish on Booty. He
is only playing about two thirds to three quarters of
the snaps every week, and his target share this season
only thirteen point three percent. That's not too exciting. But
(28:07):
I kind of want to be Wayne Gretzky here, Joan
skate to where the puck is going, like yeah, Boody, Yeah, okay,
let's go metaphor Yeah, Booty is twenty three years old,
and it seems like we're watching him get better in
real time. He's averaging thirteen point one yards per target
this season, which is fantastic good things happen when you
get this guy the ball and he is paired with
(28:28):
a quarterback who is increasingly looking like he is going
to be a rain maker for his pass catchers, like
Drake May is just so good. So yeah, I kind
of want to pick up Booty. I'm not going to
have it rank.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Can we clip that that that?
Speaker 3 (28:43):
Yeah, you want to make up?
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Yeah, he's not going to be like he's probably just
gonna be barely inside my top fifty in the wide
receiver rankings this week. So he's like a fringe starter
even in a good matchup. But the potential for him
to develop into more of a must guy is there,
I think, and I think you can acquire him cheaply
enough that it's a worthwhile opportunity.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
To take all right, Can I say it's it's a
small travesty that the Patriots aren't better because if they
were a better team overall, Drake May would be in
the MVP.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
Comedy Well, I mean they just got a coach deepro No,
I know, I'm just if the Bills lose tonight, they're
in first place.
Speaker 4 (29:25):
Pal, they are in first place in that dayball Dude,
y'all's playing both.
Speaker 3 (29:30):
Y'all were much more on the Drake May train than
I will.
Speaker 4 (29:32):
Oh yeah, I will own it's not an l but
I will own being lower on him.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
Drake May is playing ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
He looks so. And it's the touch on the passes too.
It's not like it's not because these firing balls in there.
It's it's the touch. It's the location of the ball.
It's knowing when to back off, when to throw it hard,
like all those little nuances of playing the position, which
like I work with all the quarterbacks and you know
the kids, right, Like I'm kind of like the quarterback
guy that works all the kids and the footwork and
all that stuff, but getting them to understand it's like, hey,
(30:01):
you know you're gonna throw that deepot you can't throw
a rocket, then you gotta give him some time to
get underneath the ball. Like all these little things and
these little nuances playing quarterback that you teach and that
you see at the NFL level that it doesn't it
still gets lost on guys somehow. But then there's Drake May,
and I think that's like the guy who're like, hey,
watch this tape. Watch how he's different in different scenarios,
and it's really it's it's fun to see. It's fun
(30:22):
to see that evolution.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
Joe's the Tom House.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
I am the Tom House of of Central Jersey flag.
Speaker 3 (30:28):
That's right, let's go, baby, let's go.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
Hey man, I've got three undefeated seasons, four championships, very
very you know.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
That's her hammies.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
She's got a bad hammy or she's working it out
right now. So all right, let's talk about the buccaneer
situation because we've got to touch on it earlier. So
here's what's left as of right now. That koolby my kep.
I mean, I don't allow us to raise it like.
This is what's left. This is what we've got to
deal with. We've got Sterling Shepherd whos twenty two percent roster,
and we know what he is. Tess Johnson, who's kind
of fun like he is fun, he's he's a smaller guy,
(31:03):
smaller frame, amazing touchdown catch that that that that catch
was unbelievable. He's three percent roster. Yeah, interview, I did
or he thought that they were chanting for him for MVP.
How adorable? Pat did you see that? I did not
So Tess Johnson he heard the MVP chance and he
thought they were chanting for him because of the catch
he made adorable. Uh, and then you got Cam Johnson
(31:29):
to zero percent roster. So pat Buccaneers wide receivers, everyone's
gonna looking at him this week because there's a pathway
and you got to imagine the high total. I didn't
even look, but I'm guessing this game's got to be
in the fifties. I'll check it right now.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
But where do.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
You land here with some of these guys and the
Buccaneers going into this week?
Speaker 2 (31:49):
I mean maybe nowhere? Not happy, I can tell, yeah,
I mean, I just it's too he's too jumbled here,
like the target picture in the snap picture, like Sterling.
Shepherd played twelve fewer snaps than Tess Johnson and the
same number of snaps as Cameron Johnson. So Kate Otton
has has traditionally been more involved when there have been
(32:14):
top wide receivers hurt for the Buccaneers.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
And and the Lions struggled with Kelsey last night too,
just to piggyback that point they did.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
And you know, I like, I didn't think I thought
the setup was really good for ott in this past week.
But the one thing you feared was that he was
going to be going up against Fred Warner a lot,
and then Warner got hurt early in that game, and
Oughton wound up having a decent day like five for
fifty one or something like that. So I just it
might be kind of a spread it around effort against
the Lions. But probably that's the thing, Joe. Someone is
(32:43):
probably going to hit against the Lions defense that you
know in week six had to play without Terry and
Arnold DJ Reid. We saw Kirby Joseph get banged up
last night. I don't know if I'll tell you what.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
Branch might get suspended too.
Speaker 2 (32:58):
Possibly, Yeah, I Branch just haul dot and slugged.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
It's a good chance he suspended. Like I'm just putting
that out there.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
Boy this right, I mean, the Lions are down to
guys who are like they're what rock you scene? And yeah,
it's just it's a mess. I mean meet Robertson. Yeah,
like they are really bare bones in the secondary. So
it might be a good week for some of these guys.
I just don't know who.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
All right, Uh. Streaming wise, the number for this game
is already fifty three and a half. It is the
course field of the NFL. D BRO I think as
streamers for a couple of bucks, Tesz is the guy
that I want to throw the flyer on because he's
the big like, he's the big play guy. Baker, you know,
is gonna have this moment where you know he's gonna
have to just chuck a ball downfield. I think it's
Tz and I think that's it for me. I would
(33:45):
just that's my flyer guy for like two bucks.
Speaker 4 (33:47):
I'm not I'm not against that. I think Tesz is
the guy if you're shooting for you know, flex upside ceiling.
I think Shep is the guy if you want the
the the ten to maybe eleven empty PPR calory, just
take the points out of your flex and move on that.
Then it's Shepherd and watch we're all wrong and Cameron
Johnson goes like nuts again.
Speaker 1 (34:08):
But it's all limited, right D Because you have Detroit
this week and then the next week it's the Norland Saints,
and then you're on a bye and then you're hoping
that you have like Buka, you have Evans, you have
everybody back. Certainly coming out of the bye.
Speaker 3 (34:17):
With at least Evans, at least hopefully.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
Evans this week, but we'll see what happens. Now, We're
not gonna have Pooka Nakoupa this week, and I don't
care anybody can tell me about that. Jordan Winnington two
percent roster. Now, that is the guy who's been working
as that third guy. So does he get elevated. We've
seen Whinnington have some moments that would staffer before. Is
he a better streamer two percent roster than any of
these Bucks guys potentially debro.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
Yes, okay, yes, he's the guy you pick up over
them because it's multiple spots. We've seen Jordan Winnington have
high end moments and my dogs are going crazy.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
They're excited about Jordan Winnington.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
They're apparently Winnington fans as well. But Whittington.
Speaker 4 (34:53):
It all comes down to the consolidation of this passing attack.
Like outside of Puka and Devonte Adams, who else is it?
So now we know Puka gone, so Adams is gonna
step up as the clear number one. Whittington's gonna be
the clear number two because two two at Well was
also hurt Tower Higbee is not at one hundred percent.
They're playing a carousel a tight end. So dude, Whittington
(35:13):
could be in for eight plus targets this week, I mean,
and over the next two to three weeks, Like they
get the Jags, the Saints and the forty nine ers
and the Seahawks in the next four weeks. Whittington, I mean,
we don't know how long Pooka is gonna be out.
He could be the starter for each one of those games.
So yes, like and honestly, can we say he's probably
the guy that goes for less fab than any of
those bucks will see, We've already talked about it.
Speaker 1 (35:34):
Probably, Pat, I don't disagree with that, do you.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
I think you could sneak it through.
Speaker 2 (35:38):
Yeah, I think all those guys would go for pretty
affordable prices.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
Okay, all right, Pat, do you have any other things
to add about Jordan Whittington's potential here, because like, we
haven't heard the word high ankle sprain, but even an
ankle sprain. You're looking at a couple of weeks here,
and the Rams are traveling internationally this week after that,
just looking at their schedule too, so they play Hold
on one second here, let's get that up there. Actually
it's frozen right now on me there it is okay.
(36:03):
So we have Jacksonville internationally, then they have a bye
coming up, so again a little tenuous there. So another
short term band aid guy. I feel like that's kind
of the theme of the show today. Everything's kind of like, well,
let's be careful, it's all short term bandits.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
Yeah, you know, I would rather have Whittington than any
of the Buccaneers. And this just occurred to me. I'm
not excited about doing wide receiver rankings this week because.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
It's gonna be a mess. Dude, Well, there's not a
lot out there. Let's hope that seee Lamb comes back too.
Let's holl Mike Evans comes back. Maybe we could have
nice things in fantasy football, all right. A couple other guys,
Troy Franklin Deeper always wants me to mention every week.
He's forty one percent rostered. It's in my contract. I
have to mention him every week. Then you have the
Texans guys coming off there by Christian Kirk at thirty
(36:47):
seven percent rostered, which also got Jayden Higgins at twenty five.
And I, you know, Pat, I think if I'm taking
a fly from one of these guys. I want to
see if it's the rookie coming out. I want to
see if it's Jayden Higgins. I'm not a big Christian
Kirk guy at the stage in the game. I know
you are not either, but you tell the boys and
girls why.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
Well, I mean, there might just only be room for
one fantasy relevant receiver in Houston, and it's obviously Nico Collins.
And I think Christian Kirk is just another guy not
playing full snaps. And we've got a lot of those
guys that we're talking about this week, and he's got
some really talented guys nipping at his heels, namely Jayden Higgins,
who you just mentioned, and Jalen Knowle. So I'm not
(37:25):
really interesting Kirk at all. And Franklin three straight games
with the snapchare below sixty percent. He's averaged three point
three catches and thirty six point three yards a game
over that stretch. It's just not a real exciting.
Speaker 1 (37:37):
Profile, all right. I'll throw out Jalen Coker in this
mix too, So Coker, Higgins, Kirk, Franklin out there on
the waiver wire, Debro, who would you prioritize in this group?
Before we move on to the streamers.
Speaker 4 (37:49):
For me, it's probably Coker, just because I think that
there's a clear runway for targets and viability, and he
practiced him Bowl last week. I think he's going to
be a full go this week. The Jet secondary has
been struggling. Aaron Glynn has no idea how to coach
a team at all. But all three of these guys
we talked about, Christian Kirk, Troy Franklin, Jalen Coker, I
think they all carry flex appeal, and a lot of
(38:10):
it for Franklin and Kirk is just the matchups, like
the Giants and Cowboys coming up have terrible secondaries and
Kirk again, Seattle cannot stop slot or wide receivers. They've
given up the seventh most PPR points per target. So
I'm not telling people that all of these are like
really sexy options, but throw all these guys in a
bucket and you know whether you want to go with
the Buccaneers guys are Franklin or Kirk. Like, there's a
(38:33):
lot of flex, viable, matchup based flex guys out there,
and with all the injuries, I mean, top players just
keep dropping every single week, Guys like we can't have
nice things this year. So if that's gonna be the case,
we got to play matchups and we got to dig
deep for flex plays, all.
Speaker 1 (38:50):
Right, real quick? Would you drop Darnault Mooney pat from
your roster to pick up some of these guys?
Speaker 2 (38:55):
I mean, I I don't want to. The only reason
I don't want to is because, like he's on the
field all the time.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
Boy, he's not on the field tonight, right, I mean when.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
He's a healthy Darnell Mooney. He played ninety three percent
of the Falcons offensive snaps last season, and it's just London,
Pits and Mooney. It's a really concentrated offense. Like, I
don't want to. If you have to, you have to.
I mean, thin benches, injuries, galore, bye weeks. I understand,
but he's a guy would prefer to hold.
Speaker 1 (39:25):
If I had the chance, Deebro, would you drop Darius Slayton.
Speaker 4 (39:30):
I would keep Slayton before I would keep Mooney, only
because I think with the ascension of Jackson Dart and
I'm just I continue to be enamored with the Week
ten through seventeen schedule for Slayton. Like guys, there's some
rough matchups in here, but there was also some really
good ones like the Bears, the Packers, the Lions, Patriots, Commanders, Vikings,
and Raiders. He gets the Raiders in week seventeen, so
(39:51):
Slayton the matchup the schedule could open up where I
would rather stash him on the ir and keep him
over keeping somebody like Mooney.
Speaker 1 (40:00):
Let's get to the streamers for the week. Deep bro,
give me your streaming quarterback for week seven.
Speaker 4 (40:04):
I know he's got a rough matchup, guys, but good lord,
Sammy Darnold is playing some inspired football like he has
looked amazing and in the year twenty twenty five going
to the Seahawks, I didn't think that was a sentence
I was going to be uttering, But here we are, guys,
like two hundred ninety five passing yards and two touchdowns
in each of his last two games. He's had twenty
eight and twenty Fantasy points. So yeah, I get it's
(40:26):
versus the Texans. Texans aren't gonna allow the Seattle Seahawks
to run the ball and establish him like they want to,
so they're gonna have to get it done through the
passing game.
Speaker 3 (40:32):
And Donald's playing.
Speaker 1 (40:34):
Consistent, really really good, very consistent Fantasy wise too. Fits
he give me a QB you want to stream this week?
Speaker 2 (40:39):
I don't necessarily want to stream him, but you could
stream Joe Flacco.
Speaker 1 (40:45):
It's an audition for Pittsburgh for his next gig in
the AFC Nors.
Speaker 2 (40:48):
Exactly twenty nine wee sweep twenty nine completions in coming
in off the street and being with the Bengals like
for just days and two hundred nineteen yards and two touchdowns.
It's against the Packer defense that was putting pressure on him,
like he didn't have a lot of time to throw.
Now he gets the Steelers who have a lot of
the fifth most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.
Speaker 1 (41:09):
All right, Fitzy, give me a streaming tight end for
week seven? Who do you have?
Speaker 2 (41:12):
Look? I know Mason Taylor was a flop in Week six,
but the matchup against Denver was a tough one. Now
he gets arguably the best possible matchups for tight ends
the next two weeks, the Panthers and Bengals. So I
think Mason Taylor might have a pretty good two week
run here.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
All right, Debro, you're a streaming tight end, Harold Fan
and Junior.
Speaker 4 (41:30):
He might not be up there in some leagues, but
he's out there in a ton of a man and
he has got Look David and Joku, who's got a
knee injury? Harold Fan and Junior, I mean arguably guys, like,
is he not the wide receiver one right now in Cleveland?
If if it's not Judy and it's not Isaiah bond
Jo got hurt if he's hurt, So, I mean, dude,
Dylan Gabrils throwing a ton of short passes Harrold Fan
(41:50):
and Junior eight last week, He's gonna do it again,
like he's honestly a fantastic streamer. Over the next two weeks,
he gets the Dolphins and Patriots, who were both top
eight and fantasy points per game allowed a tight end.
Speaker 1 (42:00):
I feel like we talked about this last week though
Debro the Newing Patriots defense was a streamer last week
in New Orleans, we said just keep them because they
have the sensey Titans this week. So that hopefully saved
just a fab if you listened right.
Speaker 4 (42:13):
I eight, absolutely man and cam Ward provides and I'll
just let just go search what cam Ward thinks of
his own team and that that should.
Speaker 1 (42:20):
Help you out there. Yeah, they need or with to
a tongue of Ioloa thinks of his own team. I
just I keep coming back to that prescott for a wild.
Speaker 3 (42:28):
Dude, How does McDaniel still I don't know.
Speaker 1 (42:30):
I don't know. I'm such a mess. All right, Fitzy,
who's your streaming defense for this week?
Speaker 2 (42:35):
The Seattle Seahawks against the Houston Texans. And despite after
their bad game against the Buccaneers the week before, they
came into Jacksonville with three starters in the secondary, held
the Jaguars to twelve points and just four yards per play,
and sacked Trevor Lawrence seven times. And now they get
a week six to eight against the Texans and their
(42:56):
horrendous offensive line, which Frank's pretty much added near the
bottom of the league in most offensive line metrics. So
I think Seattle is gonna sack CJ. Straut a few
times in this game.
Speaker 1 (43:07):
All right, Fitzy, give me a kicker for the week.
Speaker 2 (43:09):
Spencer Schrader when he excuse me, not Spencer Trader, his replacement,
Michael Badgeley. Yes when so. Schrader season ending knee injury
for the Colts in Week five, but when he got hurt,
he was tied for the lead in fantasy scoring among kickers,
and then badgely stepped in Sunday made his only field
goal and four extra points. The Colts have been a
pretty lucrative offense for fantasy kickers.
Speaker 1 (43:30):
Debro Kicker.
Speaker 4 (43:33):
I'll give you the kicker one in Fantasy points per game,
Eddie Pinero. He's had four games of at least ten
fantasy points. If you like kickers, you should like Beniro
all right.
Speaker 1 (43:41):
If you need more help on the waiver wire, don't
forget waiver Central. Fantasypros dot Com slash my playbook and
