Speaker 1 (02:04):
So again on.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Cavino that is rich dB is here profets in for
Sam really pumped about this sinko to myo fs the
weekend and all the great basketball and we're gonna get
you hyped with weekend hobnobbing. Plus we still got to
play Belichick or Cavino. But let's go to this thought
of and again it's so easy. It's like, it's almost
lazy to be like man the kids nowadays, because that's

(02:27):
the generational thought the for hundreds of years. Your grandparents
though your parents are lazy hippies in the sixties, they
thought we were entitled kids in the eighties and nineties,
and now you're like kids nowadays are only on their iPads.
Meanwhile your parents are yelling at you for being un
Nintendo if it was raining out, how many times do
your parents say in or out?

Speaker 1 (02:46):
In or out? Now we're like, the kids don't play
outside anymore. Remember Rich, when we.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Entered the workforce and we were the young guy, younger guys,
we're still the young guys. Please. All these old school
guys here in sports, but they would call us, oh,
those metro sexuals. What they know for that? I'm like,
why am I metro sexual? Because I comb my hair?
Now now you're a caveman. Now I'm a cave compared

(03:15):
to a twenty year old. And I went from metrosexual
guy to Caveman, well, I bring this up because there's
a Shador Sanders stories. We're gonna get a story, we're
gonna get to We talked about Abdul Carter asking for
LT's number. And it also of ties together because there's
a different mindset a you among younger people, and the
question is do you adjust to them or do you
just continue to mock it and be like no, no,

(03:37):
r a way. And I just feel like there's got
to be some type of compromise. And I found the
great article and it's all based on how do we
try to accommodate and blend in with the younger generation
gen Z? An article written by a twenty something said
how to quote Slagh Summer and hire the right gen
Z kids? Because, like I said, there was one article

(04:00):
kids don't want to hear about money. Afterwards, kids now
were like, yo, how much you paying me? Don't beat
around the bush, don't say well you're gonna do this
and how much are you paying me? Which, you know what,
as a guy who's done pretty decent in his career,
there's a lot of jobs that I've taken because it's
a great opportunity. And then you worry about the money,
but then fink that way mindset so up. Yeah, well,

(04:22):
let me tell you, as an older person who's not
that old, just the generation above you, I got an
opportunity coming up. You know what's least you know what's
more important to me, the opportunity. They don't think that
way though, Okay, well then you know what, maybe they should.
How much you're gonna pay me now? Look at how
many kids run OnlyFans. We did the math the other day.
I want the opportunity so then you could pay me

(04:44):
more later on daunting and again. I don't want to
scare everyone with a daughter out there, but eighteen to
twenty five year old women, when you do the math,
this is.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
A true fact. Eighteen to twenty five year old women.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
One out of ten has an only fans page. They
want money now. They want money. They don't care about like, oh,
this is good for your future. They it's a different generation.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
For what though we're paying their cell phone bill, their
insurance packages.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
You got teenagers. I know you're thinking like what are
they doing?

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Let me give you a couple of highlights from this
article and then this Shador Sanders perfect example.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Number one.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
If you're trying to hire gen Z, these are funny
things to me when you're emailing them. Don't give a
thumbs up emoji. They think it's passive aggressive and it
hurts their feelings. Emojis are cringey.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Don't do that.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
You upset them, and exclamation points could trigger them. Emoji's
being a cringey is the only one. I'm okay, fine,
that's a little immature, right if you're an older person.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Otherwise, so far I hate all these.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
Yeah, why are you going to read into an emoji?

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Dude?

Speaker 2 (05:51):
I was told once if you text or email back
a younger coworker like thumbs up, they don't take it.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
It's like, all right, good. They take it as how
passive aggressive.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
No, that's ridiculous because not everything is a heart.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
You know.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
It as a fonsie. Yeah, yeah, thumbs up. No, they
take it as like, oh my god, why is it what?
Passive aggressive? Okay?

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Number two, don't think I'm going to work for your
company if it if it's at least not partly remote,
I'm not coming to some place five days a week. Okay,
that's it. That's a gen Z saying COVID really made
everybody lazy. Though not just gen Z. But they're saying remote.
They don't want to be fully remote because they want

(06:35):
to have I guess, some interaction to maybe move up
the ladder. But Jena blame them for feeling that way.
But to call it out as a demand, Yeah, you
can't take nobody from Nowhereville beat it like for you
to even suggest that this sounds okay, some twenty seven
year old twenty two wrote it twenty two? Yeah, but

(06:55):
you said, how old is the person that wrote it's
a twenty something? You like early? What else what I'm
talking about? So for you to give this any validity
as a joke to me, like, what do they know
about anything?

Speaker 5 (07:05):
Here's what I think is interesting about this is if
it's getting to this point of the interview, these are
your most qualified candidates, so it's not like you're just
walking in blind with one hundred other candidates. And I
think why they feel that they have some power is
if they got this far in the interview, they must
be better than everybody else.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
Precisely, Dan Buyer's right on, they say.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
The article says, as we focus on seasonal hiring for
the summer, your best employees if you're trying to hire
twenty something year olds for your business, or interns or
part time workers. They are going to demand these things,
so be prepared. They don't want to work someplace every day.
Part of it has to be remote. Number three, work
life boundaries. When I'm not at the office or not

(07:48):
on the clock, I am not going to respond to
your emails or messages because I'm not working.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Danny.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Do you imagine if I get night you and I
didn't text each other about the show because we were
quote off the clock.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
No ore show wouldn't work.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
That's we rely on a lot of industries rely on
Like Yo, you get that email?

Speaker 1 (08:04):
It was sent at seven forty eight pm. I was off.
Who did I hire that?

Speaker 2 (08:10):
As my dad would say, the queen aeshibah. I don't
get it, dude, Like I get it like that.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
There's last minute changes too, Like our boss and the
sales department, sometimes there'll be some last minute changes or additions,
and we have to be open to communicating no matter
what time.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Yeah, it's a job, man, it's not super fun time.
Work life balance is big to them, meaning if they
have an important event, there is no negotiation, like if
I if they have a friend's wedding or bachelor party
or something like yeah, it can't work. No, Like it's
not up for debate, like hey boss, I'm not working
that day, mixed in with if I'm not feeling it.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
The company has to be okay with mental health days.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Different generation, man, you gotta sound more like demand's than
requests mental health. They doesn't bother me that much. I
mean again, it sounds soft, but I think everybody needs
a day for whatever reason, right, personal day, whatever, Yes,
and I'll give you one more. He nothing wrong with
a break or a refresher. So it's just how it

(09:15):
sounds to me. But so far, only two of these
are tolerant, by the way, and it's not to sound
like we're grumpy middle aged men. It's just it's a
very different generation. And it will tie directly to this
story Danny g has on Standby about shad Or Sanders
one less one. And this is interesting because every industry
is different companies. This is from a gen z or.
Companies need to be clear right away about their social

(09:38):
media policies. Because I'm going to check my phone throughout
the day. What's your policy on it? I think it's
a fair question.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
It's a fair question. Yeah, but like what if a.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Company says like, yeah, I don't want you checking social
media throughout.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
The day, is that a deal breaker? I mean, how
bad do you want to work here? How bad do
you want this job? You know? Go start only fan
and if you're so interested in doing another thing one
at attend to all right, Well with that all, said
Danny G.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
This Shaudor Sanders story maybe sheds a little light on
why he was passed up in the draft, not because
of race, not because of talent, not because of it,
because of perhaps an attitude that teams were not really
vibing with.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
Yeah. This was reported by sports Kia, Sports Keydavia Fox
Sports yesterday. A team with a top seven pick in
the twenty twenty five NFL Draft requested that shad Or
Sanders study its playbook for their interview session. Shador arrived
unprepared and used his time to instead question the team's leadership,
asking their strategy to support him.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
And it ties perfectly into this article because there's been
a lot of smoke around this story. So where there's smoke,
there's fire for sure, right, Like we heard that from
several sources, So imagine that some dude comes in and
he starts calling shots on you. And that's why Rich
is saying, well, who's supposed to accommodate who in this situation.

(11:05):
I'm just saying we shouldn't be shocked, And I'm not
coming down on should or Sanders.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
What I'm saying is we.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Shouldn't be shocked based on the article I just talked about,
based on the mindset of a twenty something year old.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Now, I'm not saying it's right or wrong.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
I'm just saying, Shadoor Sanders is in line with the
mindset of most young people the end.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Instead of saying I prepared the bi pre instead of saying.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
I prepared the playbook, he came in there thinking, well,
what are you gonna do for me as your next star?

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Kid, but we have an organization here, yeah yea yeah,
but how are you gonna support me? And that's the
mindset of so many younger people. That's a horrible mindset
for a team sport. It's not about me, it's not
it's about the team. And he's already separating himself when
the season hasn't even started, when you're not even on

(11:57):
the team yet.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
So that's a really bad. Look, dude, like there there.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Are there is an etiquette, and I don't care what
the new generation thinks. It doesn't make it right. Yeah,
there's a whole lot to be said. And you know,
to end this conversation on a note. When you and
I started here, did we start calling shots or did
we prove ourselves a little first and then maybe try
to make a few changes here and there where we
thought they could benefit us and the team.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
Yeah? Great, because there's an etiquette involved.

Speaker 4 (12:27):
Yeah, it was like three weekends you work before you
started threatening the bosses?

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Yeah, can you not any one? Two weekends before we
requested an aquarium in the story?

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Can you know wants a fish tank?

Speaker 4 (12:34):
Cell? Bad?

Speaker 2 (12:36):
But I will say there is something to be said
to not be one sided. How many generations work work, work, work,
work and realize their work life balance. Thinks like, how
many how many people in our grandparents and parents generation
realized I spent fifty years working for this.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
Company And there's validity to that point. There is, And
I think that we, you know, as the generation above them,
we're learning from them too, but they also need to
learn from us. So where the parents in this I
have a twenty two year old stepson, and he's been
interviewing for summer jobs right now, and Brenda and I
have been giving him pointers and talking him through it
and talking about it. And he's not making any of

(13:15):
these demands in his interviews, and.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
He'll stand out for not doing it, I think.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
So.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
I don't know, man, this whole thing upsets me.

Speaker 4 (13:27):
You have to pick up with a good, strong work ethic.
How could this not annoy you?

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (13:31):
And it supplies in everyone's life and in sports. And
the question comes down to this in the article, If
you're a veteran athlete, are you supposed to bend backwards
to make sure this guy's okay? Or should this guy
accommodate to an established team? And I think it works
that way. Yet it is a bit of a compromise.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
Right, we all want to be respectful. But for everybody
to have to bend over backwards to accommodate a generation
with all these demands, that's odd.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
I think there's a phenomenal balance that I'd like to think.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
If you're roughly forty, I like to call our generation
the in betweeners. We really are, because we're we lived
a life before social media but we know social media.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
We were fluent in an old guy and younger guys,
and I think if you're.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
Roughly four, I would say, like if you were born
in the late seventies to late eighties, if you are
fortysh or so, again, you're the type of person that
grew up without social media, without these things. But you
also understand it. And I think you don't want to
make the mistakes of past generations where it's like I'm
gonna work till eighteen hours a day and never see my.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
Kids like your parents or grandparents may have done.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
But you also don't expect to start out the company
as a VP like a twenty somethings saying, though, when
you talk about work life balance, and Danny g mentioned, yeah,
we're all realizing that there has to be a better way.
But guess what, you still have bills to pay, so
unless you want to in debt, go right ahead, So

(15:02):
still have to work and make ends me. Hey, your
thoughts on this hard hitting Cavino on Rich conversation here
see how Shadoor sanders not necessarily him, but that generation
will rub other people the wrong way all the time. Well,
and again, remember that old saying Hey, welcome to the
real world. We all had to make adjustments. I was
a spoiled kid. You know what, I realized I had

(15:25):
to work a little harder when I got into the
real world. You gotta make adjustments. There was just because
things went a certain way for you growing up and
everybody coddled you a home doesn't mean the real world
works that way. So your boss has to accommodate you
and not use exclamation points because you're upset by them.
Get out of here with that two points, and then
we'll move on. We'll play a little Belichick or Cavino.

(15:46):
We'll talk a little NBA this weekend.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
But two points.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
I saw a video, why don't you go for three
like Jalen Brunson, You know that left handed, nice little
three pointer. I saw a video within the last year,
and I felt bad for this girl, But at the
same time I left you still the same one I'm
thinking about. It was a girl on the East Coast,
lived in New York and she had started her first

(16:11):
job in New York City, and she went on a
rant where she was almost in tears, saying.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Hell, eight hours a day, it was two much.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
I have to take the train to Manhattan and then
I work eight plus hours? Did I take the train back?
When am I supposed to go to the gym? When
am I supposed to go out for drinks with my friends?

Speaker 4 (16:30):
When am I?

Speaker 2 (16:31):
And it's like, yeah, wow, that's well. We can't put
it all on the generation too. We can put it
on the parents that might be asked for not preparing
them properly for these type of things. So but the
reality is what it is. But don't be to adjust.
You have to, I don't know, get a little tougher.
But also don't be shocked Cavino if because of Nil

(16:52):
and the way things are now a little differently, don't
be shocked if players want to really call their shots
more and more. I think we're going to get to
a point where college players are going to be like,
now here's a list of teams and cities I want
to play for, and that's how I'll enter the draft process.
Like let me ask you this, though, Rich, back to
the other not just your top picks, Like there, if
should dors Sanders really wanted to play for that top

(17:14):
seven team in the NFL draft, shouldn't you have learned
the playbook a little bit?

Speaker 1 (17:20):
So what is it?

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Doesn't that show the employer or the team that he's
really not that interested.

Speaker 6 (17:25):
I guess this is I'm struggling this because it feels
like the idea of I'm not going to play for
a certain team is pretty old for the NFL.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
We had it with l with Rivers. Yeah, like this,
this is not a new tail. It's not a new thing.
But you can name like we can name them.

Speaker 6 (17:41):
On one hand, I just don't think we're going to
get an entire generation should Sanders Just feels like that
and not comparing him to the skill of Lway or
Eli or any of that. But like, yeah, there's always
a couple guys who think they can dictate terms and
something happened drop into the fifth is pretty much assigned
to everyone that like you can't dictate.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Perhaps fed there where we end, we say Schador is
exhibit a of what happens now if you try to
dictate too much without your shot, but it might go
bad without without the A plus talent. You can't do
this the end, All right, Listen Belichick or Covino one

Speaker 2 (20:19):
Oh, is this because we're trying to finally decide one
monkey or one hundred humans?

Speaker 1 (20:24):
One gorilla? One are big difference between a gorilla and
a monkey.

Speaker 4 (20:28):
I will say there's.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
A big difference. Could beat one hundred silverback gorillas, that's
the answer.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
It's so funny we brought that up. I think when
the trend started. We're on it the last week and
a half. You go anywhere, it's on the news now,
like the local news, like light FM radio stations are
talking about NFL.

Speaker 4 (20:45):
Social media teams are asking the players about it.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
Did you see porzingis things?

Speaker 4 (20:49):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (20:51):
A gorilla could only beat up twenty but Jalen was
it a Jalen Brown? Like?

Speaker 1 (20:56):
Not at all? A gorilla could kill hundreds of humans.

Speaker 6 (20:58):
So we were just talking about shooting your shot, but
not having the skill to shoot your shot.

Speaker 1 (21:03):
This one hundred humans, she's shooting their shot. Mother nature
is undefeated.

Speaker 4 (21:07):
Let's just say that, folks.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
I just feel like the reality is and this is
the last we'll speak of it because by Monday we
need a new hypothetical. I agree with Cavino your original assessment.
The minute humans saw the first few humans get their
limbs ripped off, right, you would be they getting get
ragged alled.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
I think everyone will be timid.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
So unless you got one hundred UFC octagon badasses, Girlawins.

Speaker 4 (21:32):
Well, you'd have to outsmart them. We talked about that yesterday. Right,
got to grab a leg like Van Gundy. Someone's got
to grab a leg.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
Someone's got distract Rich has to start juggling Danny g

Speaker 6 (22:09):
Steve Cavino and Bill Belichick has some things in common.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
Bill Belichick's the man.

Speaker 4 (22:14):
They both have younger girlfriends named Jordan.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
He ain't the man if that was my daughter.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
They both have a powerful presence in the sports world.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
Look harder. So you can do that. When you're seventy two.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
You tell us is it Steve Cavino or Bill Selacheck.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
I'm not mad at him at all. I want to
know what it is.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
I think this is a brainchild energy of me being
high on the beach on vacation in Mexico.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
Well, in fact, half an edible.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Yeah, when this became a thing, everybody was on vacation,
including myself, including Bill Belichick, who was toisting his girlfriend
up in the air playing airplane. That's what maybe think
of the game, because I got a text message from
Cavino and he was like riding ATVs with his girlfriend Jordan.
And then I looked on social media and I said
Belichick on the beach picking up his girlfriend Jordan. And
I said this my friends, Danny G do your magic,

(23:05):
and Dany G made it a game.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (23:07):
Yeah, what started from Rich's late night edible mind has
turned into an on air game I put together a
few times. Now, let's meet our contestant on the studio lines.
I'll use Dan Buyer for this, d D. Would you
love to travel to beautiful Lexington, Kentucky, Madbury, New Hampshire, Phoenix,
Arizona or surprise Arizona undressed?

Speaker 5 (23:26):
I'm sorry the ponies are running this week and we
just said to Kentucky Oaks we're going to Lexington.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
Yeah, that's right little ways away from Louisville?

Speaker 4 (23:35):
Is that? What is that?

Speaker 1 (23:36):
Why you're on that hat today?

Speaker 4 (23:38):
Sorry, Reese. It is your city's time to shine this
Weekend's that?

Speaker 1 (23:42):
Rees? What's up?

Speaker 2 (23:44):
God?

Speaker 4 (23:44):
Heck yeah? What do you do for a living there
in Kentucky? I am a general sales manager at a
new car dealership.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
Just wow, nude, I'm gonna go there right now.

Speaker 4 (23:58):
All right, Reese, Here's how Covino or Belichick works. I've
done extensive research on both coach and Coveno and their
two young girlfriends. By each member of the crew are
going to read a fun fact and you got to
tell us is it Steve Covino or Bill Belichick? You
have five chances to get too correct it Loris Swiggy, Yes, sir,
let's go all right, here we go. Rich Davis is

(24:21):
going to read the first fun h.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Here you go. Is it Coveno or Belichick? Reese? This
guy's Jordan recently.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Went along as his date to an NHL playoff hockey game.
This Jordan went with her man to an NHL playoff
hockey game. Is it Coveno or Belichick?

Speaker 3 (24:42):
I'm gonna say Covino.

Speaker 4 (24:45):
Noh for one.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
Sorry, all right, what was the event again? NHL hockey game?

Speaker 2 (24:51):
You think I'd go to a hockey game, you're read
in your mind, I'm the laziest guy you ever meet.

Speaker 4 (24:56):
All Right, you still have four chances here, Buyer is
going to read the second.

Speaker 5 (25:00):
In fact, all right, his Jordan is currently getting certified
to add Pilate's instructor to her resume.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
Is that Cavino or Belichick? I'm going to say that Covino,
and you are correctial.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
Yes, that was a true question, because you could see
Belichick's girlfriend doing that sort of stuff. In fact, you know,
I feel like they were doing some Plotates moves in
the sand. However, I did see your Jordan on Instagram
on a Ploate's machine like yesterday. So I have one
of those reformers, one of those Plotate machines at my house.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
Let me just swing back and forth on while you
watch the fights. Yeah, it's ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (25:34):
All right, Reese, you are halfway to one of these
beautiful CNR swiggies. And I have the third fun fact here.
He wore number sixty two and played center in junior
high school. He wore number sixty two and played center
in junior high Covino or Belichick. I'm going to say
that William Belichick.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
No, I got the video proof.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
Yeah, see what high school has a five nine center?

Speaker 1 (26:01):
A kid who was this size in junior. I didn't
grow after that.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Seven Yeah, sixty two center.

Speaker 4 (26:10):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
And by the way, some kid hit me up like
a year ago asked if he could have sixty two.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
I told him, hell though, that's what what's funny. I
saw the video. Kavino has been doing that.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
You know when you take your old VHS tapes and
use those companies like I Memories to make them digital.
Covino showed me video of him playing, and I'm not
gonna lie. I'll give him props. He laid some kid
out him like that's you's black and people center. Yeah,
not a lot of glory, but I was one of
those kids. It's pretty good. I just now you just
sit around scratching your belly watching Yankees, Kay Union, New

(26:40):
Jersey nationally round number three USA today.

Speaker 6 (26:44):
Bro.

Speaker 4 (26:44):
All right, here we go. Now there's two chances left
for Reese to get one correct. Pet has the fourth
fun fact.

Speaker 6 (26:51):
All right, get it together here his Jordan designed a
leather jacket using old football patches.

Speaker 4 (26:57):
Oh, Coveno or Belichick. I'm gonna go with an who's
that Coveno? No, no, no, this is coming down to
the wire now, last one. Spotty's not here, so I'll
read the fifth and final fun fact. Okay, Reese, listen closely.

(27:21):
He uses just for men Coveno or Belichick. I'll go
with Belichick.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
Sorry, Reese, I use a dark brown black the one
with the Mexican guy on the cover.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Sorry.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
Man, people don't know. He made Covino looks like a
dead ringer for Mario Lopez. But if he didn't do that,
he'd look like Caesar Malan.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
Yeah, And if Belichick took care of himself, I'm pretty
sure he'd go to a salon. He's got money.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
Man, Is that our first loser? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (27:58):
In this game for fet Hingston with that Beck song
and we came back with so even be oh man.

Speaker 4 (28:06):
But at least he's got some festivities going on there
in Lexington.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
Hey, buddy, thanks for playing the game this sweep in
the nation. We appreciate it, all right, rees, have a
great weekend.

Speaker 4 (28:14):
Brother, appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Yeah, thank you man. You can play again next week.
Love you buddy.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
Later. All right, all right, you know what, Let's go
to Dan Bayer get this weekend update going what's going.

Speaker 5 (28:23):
On man Reese is and Lexington, Kentucky. Dew in Louisville.
So that's just to clarify that. But I didn't want
anybody in Kentucky to be offended. Both are great cities.
Was in Louisville last year at Keenlan for the two
years ago for the Breeders Cup.

Speaker 4 (28:35):
It was a great, great event.

Speaker 5 (28:37):
The Kentucky Oaks ran today, a lot of rain, so
it was muddy, good cheer. The favorite ends up winning
today at Churchill Downs, and of course they run for
the Roses tomorrow again in Louisville. Greg Popovich stepping asud
from his coaching duties with the San Antonio Spurs. He'll
take over as the team's full time president of basketball operations.

(28:58):
Papovich leaves the bench after twenty nine seasons, five NBA titles,
and the most wins of any coach in NBA history.
In our med coach Mitch Johnson, who took over following
Popovich's mild stroke in November, will become the team's full
time head coach. The Grizzlies named interim head coach Twamas
Isolo as their full time head coach. The forty two
year old took over on an interim basis at the

(29:19):
end of the regular season for the Fire Taylor Jenkins.
Isilo becomes the first finish born head coach in NBA history.
Lakers foward Lebron James sprained mcl grade two sprain, according
to the ESPN, suffered in that loss to the Timberwolves
that ended their season on Wednesday. He's going to need
three to five weeks to recover. Game six, Rockets and
Warriors tonight, nine o'clock Eastern Time. Warriors up three to

(29:42):
two in the series. Yankee skipper Aaron Boone says jass
Chisholm could miss four to six weeks because of an
oblique strain. Angels offielder Mike Trout heading to the IL
because of a bone bruise in his knee.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
C J.

Speaker 5 (29:53):
Cuppen on the PGA tour at the Byron Nelson right now,
Scottie Scheffler leads sixteen under He's got a six shot lead.
Play was halted this afternoon because of storms in the
Dallas area, so a lot of the field has yet
to even tee off but shuffler right now with a
six stroke advantage heading into the weekend.

Speaker 4 (30:12):
Guys, back to you.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
Thank you, Dan Byron, have a great weekend, man, thanks
you as well. Hey, now check this out, rich, I
have a bit of a dilemma. We got to turn
dilemmas into dilemonade. Yeah, I'm a big fight fan. Fatal
fury has begun in Times Square as we speak.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
As we speak, tia Fimo Lopez is in the ring.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
I'm like aggravated about this because very rarely do I
go to Covino's house to like watch a fight or
do something and after the show, not that you care,
I have to bring my daughter to dance or gymnastics
or something, and I was gonna go to Covenos like
six or seven.

Speaker 1 (30:43):
I got to fight started.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Well, yeah, the main card has started right now. It's
an early card. But here's the deal. Here's the question.
Do I avoid all social media and just wait till
we get back home?

Speaker 1 (30:56):
That's the worst. Well, here here's us. If you do.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Yeah, if you if you can, you watch this not live?
Like does does Zone have of app all that?

Speaker 1 (31:06):
Yeah? You could you know, restart it?

Speaker 4 (31:07):
Yeah, you're gonna have to stay off. We're all gonna
have to stay off our phones. I was gonna drop
by around six pm West Coast time.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
We you know what, how about this?

Speaker 2 (31:13):
So do we all avoid social media, our phones, our
friends and everything until then. You can't stay off your
phone for two hours, But do your FEMA. They're about
their touching glot on. Turn it off.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
Now.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
If you make a commitment and say you're gonna start
at like six fifteen at your place, I'll come over
and I'll pay for pizza. So yeah, all right, fine,
all right deal, but on your phone off if you're
on your way home to watch the fight. It's starting now, guys,
the main card is starting now. We got more convene owners.
We're gonna tell you what you need to watch. Did
you ever watch that How I Met Your Mother episode

(31:45):
where they all avoided the super Bowl for a day
and they had to for twenty four hours.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
It's hard because like something happened.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
The day of the super Bowl, so they all went
around for twenty four hours, like not.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
Talking any Oh my goodness, you can make it.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
If we're gonna we get off there at four o'clock
locally here, you know, think we pick our kids up
and get back to the house. I don't know, drop
your daughter off. I'll go bring my daughter to dance class.
I'll meet you at Kavinos, Danny g. I'll finish your
podcast six fifteen star time at your house. All right,
I'll order pizza deal all right?

Speaker 4 (32:16):
Hey, fast food pizza or good pie.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
Good pizza sounds good on me. If you wait, okay,
if you wait, all we got more. Cavino and Rich.

Speaker 2 (32:26):
We're gonna go over weekend hobnobbin next right here on
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
All right, welcome back to the show.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
Yeah, the Showgram program, the world famous CNR and FSR.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
By the way, Rich great saxophone.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
People don't realize I played the alto saxophone in high school.
We are live from the Fox Sports Radio studio Covino
and Rich. Express employment professionals can provide contract workers to
flex up for peak seasons without having to raise your
core workforce, head count, manager workforce differently. Visit expresspros dot
com today. That's expresspros dot Com. And now it's time

(33:08):
for this week's pro the Week, and it goes to.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
We're debating Copper.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
First two runs, Soto get out of here at City Field,
it has to be the guy with the winning shot.
Last night, Jamon Brunson forty points, not again, not again.
The Pistons the follow one sixteen one thirteen and the

(33:38):
mid Knicks move on again. He had forty points, seven assists,
but he came up big, looking cool in the clutch
and like Danny G said before, you know, after missing
a pretty bad shot right there, he came through when
it counted, and props to him. He's our Express Pro
Pro of the Week.

Speaker 6 (33:56):
I mean everything beside I would have liked, like, I
don't know, I hope this is a rival three years
because it's a great I could have taken eleven games
of that. That was just chippy, hard basketball across the
up and down the court.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
You speak, kid, and that really was a fantastic series.
Nothing to be ashamed of your Pistons fan. In fact,
what a great turnaround from where they were.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
Hi, exactly. Congrats again to Jalen Brunson, Express Pro Pro
the Week. Let's do it. We can hob nobbin for
the weekend.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
You're winning bets for talking points. If you get stuck socializing,
you ever done anything dangerous?

Speaker 6 (34:26):
You ever dance with the devil in the panel line
Friday brings us we can hob all right, well the
main car just started.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
Okay, I'd love it. You're actually agreed to put down
your phone. Well, you saw I put a reminder.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
I put a little setting on my phone and says,
don't bother me about the fight.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
I'm on delay.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
Oh my god, you did. Yes, I do not disturb.
Don't give me any fight updates. I'm on delay. If
you hit me up with a fight update, that's like
hit me up with the next girlfriend ex wife update.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
You're not my friend anymore. I don't want to hear it.

Speaker 4 (34:56):
I don't want to know.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
But it starts tonight. Fatal Fury got TiO Fimo, Tia Fimo,
Lopez and Barbosa.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
They're in the ring in Times Square. Don't tell Kevino,
don't tell me.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
Then you got Hani Ramirez, Ramirez former champ. He's got
that left hop just like Garcia did. And we know
Hani susceptible to it.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
Yep. But this is.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Haine's comeback fight since he was embarrassed by Garcia.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
He's got to win. He's got to show up and.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
Then Ryan Garcia tonight fighting Roly Romero, and Romero's got
a buncher's chance. He's strong, but I think Ryan Garcia
is gonna dominate him. As you were just telling me
off the air, this is a great fight night. But
I think what's even more important is the result of
these three fights will tell you where this division is
going exactly.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
Yeah, a lot of implications moving forward.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
So watch this fight and enjoy, and then if you
bought the bundle, there was a fight bundle you could
buy tomorrow night on Treste Mayo sau Canelo Aluarez versus
William Skull, who's very big compared to Canelo, but Canelo
says he doesn't care. He's over six foot tall Williams Skull,
so he makes Canelo look tiny.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
So olill Canel allovera sixty two two pin two.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
He's the WBAWVCWBO champ, super middleweight champ, and I'll trying
to be unified because Skull is the IBF champ. So
if Canelo wins, if and when Canelo dominates tomorrow, he's
the unified super middleweight champion. You might be the IBS champ.
After all the taketos you're gonna eat this weekend as
possible as possible Himimogia also fights on that car.

Speaker 1 (36:30):
That's tomorrow night.

Speaker 2 (36:31):
And then if you want to get even more hyped
about the NBA playoffs this weekend or the fights coming up,
we did a special yesterday on our bonus pot over promised.

Speaker 1 (36:41):
That's on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
We do it once a week things we can't fit
into the show because we always over promise. Episode ninety
is available now for your viewing pleasures. The bub yesterday,
but check it out. The week before, we had KFC
from Barstool on. It's free. It's on Fox Sports Radio's
YouTube page. Over Palm, Miss C and R All right
now Saturday, two things happening around the same time. What's

(37:05):
better than a Game seven in the NBA or the NHL.
You're a big hockey fan, Avalanche at the Stars five
o'clock West Coast time, and that game is in Dallas,
and that's a game seven. And how could you not
be interested in the Clippers Nuggets? You were talking about
even matchup for feth they're both fifty and thirty two.

Speaker 1 (37:28):
The series is tied three to three.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
It's in Denver, Clippers Nuggets. Who knows what's gonna happen.
But that's four thirty West Coast times seven thirty on
the East Coast.

Speaker 6 (37:37):
I know one person who's gonna be biting her nails
non stop her out here, that friend of ours Monse.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
Danny g what's your read on that.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
You think y'll get stepped up or you think the
Clippers steal this one.

Speaker 4 (37:49):
They've had trouble in game sevens. I feel the Nuggies
coming on.

Speaker 2 (37:52):
I'm excited, and you know, it's also a fun show.
I watch it for years, and I dipped away for
a minute because I thought last season stunk. But now
it's back you with Joe Goldberg. I hate the name
Bronti of the lead woman on the show. But you
know what's cool about the show is like, everybody know
what Joe Goldberg looks like, but when he puts a hat.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
On, nobody recognized me.

Speaker 2 (38:12):
I wonder, like, are you guys confused when I come
in with my hat on death? Wait, that's Joe Goldberg.
He's got a hat on. But you is back in
the final season on this food You know what it
unravels pretty good, man.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
I enjoyed it.

Speaker 2 (38:23):
There's a twist midway through the final season, you're like ooh.
Also on Apple TV, Danny g I gotta say it
every week, is you and I agree that it's the
best show. It's streaming right now, your friends and neighbors.
There's a new episode tonight, that's right. That is with
John Ham.

Speaker 4 (38:39):
With NBA Basketball Warriors and everything that's top of the list.
And then for the nerds, you started the show by
talking about May the fourth be with you. Follow the
galaxies Criminal Underworld. It's the Galaxy's dangerous underworld. In the
sixth episode Journey, it's called Star Wars Tales of the Underworld.
It's on Disney Plus on the fourth.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Anyone interested in watching Thunderbolts at the theater?

Speaker 1 (39:03):
That's a prefet. I know you're into that stuff. Is
that Marvel? Correct Thunderbolts?

Speaker 6 (39:06):
I am not into Marvel? No, I this Thunderbolts, thunder Marvel.
I saw it is Marvel. I've seen the commercials for it,
but I can't tell you a dang thing about it.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
Profet, biggest Marvel fan, I said, I what did I say?
I was saying, like I was, Sam, you strike me
as a big and He's like, no, not at all.
So my read was wrong, but yeah, Thunderbolts is saying
that's like, that's like a Papa Bear question around here. So, uh,
one hundred million dollars they're expecting this weekend, so that
should be your big movie.

Speaker 6 (39:32):
Thunder Sinners is apparently coming to seventy millimeters imax like
that that that movie cannot be stopped.

Speaker 1 (39:38):
It just keeps going on. I was just gonna say,
is that expected to be Sinners three weeks in? Yeah,
Sinners looks good, but yeah, this should be the one.

Speaker 4 (39:46):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (39:46):
And there's a like end of the World type of
show with aliens, and I feel.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
Like it's a foreign show on Netflix.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
But you think you're gonna watch The The Eater not
what then?

Speaker 1 (39:57):
On Netflix? Yeah, check it out. And the World's good,
the organ Alley and stuff. You like that stuff.

Speaker 4 (40:01):
Speaking of that Last of Us, Rich, are you caught up?

Speaker 2 (40:04):
I'm not ever since what happened at the end of
episode two. I'm sort of taking a time out yelled
at for spoiling that because I had played the games.
You know what, I think you can say it now.
Let's just say someone died and I don't know how
to handle it, so you know, who knows I'd.

Speaker 4 (40:16):
Have a great week. They all died.

Speaker 1 (40:18):
Your NBA. Enjoy everything, draw.

Speaker 2 (40:19):
Your fiesta, enjoy your fights. See you in the Promised Land.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
Goodbye.
