(01:18):
honor of Harry Doyle the best fictional sports characters on
over Promise. That's on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page. Definitely
check it out. And let's not forget besides your wildcard
games this weekend college championship on Monday night. And the
more I look at this at DraftKings, I loved Ohio
State minus eight. It's up to eight and a half

(01:39):
now that which shows people are ride in Ohio State here,
I still think they are too explosive. You know, my
heart says, I know way more people that went to
Notre Dame like Notre Dame. But you know, I'll roll
with your brother in law. He Louisville Hostude. I mean
I wouldn't roll with my brother in law. I'm just
simply brooding for my brother in law. That's it. So hey,

(02:01):
Ohio State minus eight and a half feels still like
the pick for me. I mean you might want to
save that for weekend hobnob and what you need to
watch right before we get to Pete Alonzo, because I
know you have thoughts on former New York met Pete Alonzo.
I can't believe I haven't asked you at all today
your thoughts on the Supreme Court saying, yeah, TikTok's done.

(02:24):
You think, mister Beast or mister Wonderful, is someone's gonna
come in in the next forty eight to seventy two hours.
I heard from my guy Jack Mac, who's my favorite
dude at barstool. I don't care about anyone else except
for Jack Mac. He's my favorite. Rich is always talking
about all the women on barstool. I don't know any
of them. No, you know, I mentioned Brionna Chicken from
Commune is like who I like men every day, KFC

(02:47):
Barstools and mess Fan I like him. I like KFC,
but Jack Mac's my favorite. Okay, well what did he
say that me hungry? On Monday, mister Trump invited the
owner and founder of TikTok to the inauguration. He's got
like a front row seat, So why would he be
inviting that dude? Right if they didn't have some sort

(03:07):
of plan on working things through and figuring it out.
So maybe it does go away, but maybe it's just
on hold until they figure it out. Because you think
he's gonna invite this guy and his dude's gonna show
up and they're not gonna figure something out together. Well,
didn't this thing ends though on Sunday?

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Can't they?

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Wasn't there an option for the Supreme Court and President
Biden to maybe do a thirty to ninety day you know,
I guess a delay of sorts.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
I was saying, you have some insights.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Well, I'm sorry, I want to actually wanted to go
back to the I think it's the CEO of TikTok
being at the inauguration.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Yeah, all of the time.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
He's singing with the village people.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
All of the tech CEOs are gonna like be at
the inauguration, like Google, Meta, because they've all donated to
the Trump Inauguration Fund. So like there, I don't know
he's gonna be there though he's in DC already. So
I just wanted to offer that.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Doesn't that say a lot to you though, that there's
got to be some sort of resolution?

Speaker 2 (04:03):
I think.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
So there's too much at stake, I know for a
lot of people, just sounds like a stupid app. Yeah,
a stupid app that's worth a lot of money that
is consuming us. There's almost there's almost two hundred million
users in the United States exactly. And listen, no one
wants Chinese Shenanigans getting, you know, messing up our situation.

(04:25):
That's what they'll figure out. And I will say there's
two types of people, players and haters. I know, we
know your theory. Rich builds theories on Taylor Swift song.
That's not true. But it's a good theory though. But
there are people that are happy for other people's success,
and then there's people that don't like anyone having stuff

(04:45):
they don't have. So you got a lot of people
that are saying, oh wow, so a bunch of influencers
are going to lose income. I look at it like,
that's a bummer man. There's a lot of younger generation
people that make a nice side hustle or money, spent
years building a follow Like even a guy like Brandon Spoil,
Brandon who works in the editing department. He posts on
TikTok some really great fantasy football stuff and he's like, yeah, dude,

(05:07):
I made some money off of that. That's it stinks
for the younger generation that look at social media as
a way to make money. Because TikTok did pay, So
I don't look at it as I look at it
as Yeah, it does suck for a lot of younger people.
And there's people that make not just a couple hondo
or a couple of thousand here and there. There's people
that their whole livelihood. I care. I sympathize, but I

(05:28):
do think it would be a blessing disguise if it
were to go. To be honest, you know, I, like
I said to you before Takeaway TikTok, It's not like
you're gonna be like a J.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Brown reading books all of a sudden.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
You don't. You're gonna just be scrolling on Instagram more.
I'll be reading Inner Help or whatever it was about
to be an uptick in real estate agent, self Help,
Doctor Seuss books, saying all these hot Instagram girls and
TikTok girls are now I'm going to be selling use
frying our brains and our kicken brains chicken, and it's
so addictive. So I think we'd find and more productive

(06:01):
use of our time. But I don't want to see
people lose money. And I'm hoping that things will be
figured out squared away. Well, hey, we'll keep you in
the loop. But as of now, the Supreme Court said
late to you. As of now. You get still follow
us though, at Steve Covino, at Rich Davis, at Covino
and Rich and.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Of course Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
It's like watching a show you know that's gonna get canceled.
Falls on TikTok for the next forty eight hour. Let
me ask you this. I'm a big Mets fan. You're
a Yankees fan. Before you get back into football. I
don't know if I have my Mets goggles on. I'm
trying to think of a Met that wardglass. Chris say,

(06:42):
what was the red wore glasses? I don't know if
I have my Mets goggles on. Didn't George Foster wear
glasses at one point? He did in like eighty four.
But Pete Alonzo, yes, he had a down year. His
down year was better than most people's ears.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Yeah, but I want to just throw some numbers at you, knucklehead.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Can't say he had it down here with thirty four
home runs and eighty eight RBI. Okay, maybe a down
here for him, all right, but now down here, Peet Alonzo,
I don't know if you know how this works. You
don't get younger. You get older. Yeah, okay, in fact,
I know how old he is. You're kind of sending nerd.
He's thirty. That's not old in baseball. So all right,
he's thirty years. I agree, guys get big contracts until

(07:27):
they're forty. I get it.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
But Peter Alonzo's thirty. He's not the most nimble guy.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
You've seen Peter Alonzo rounding third and you're like, my goodness, no,
he's no John Carlos Stanton. But you know, Peter Alonso
is not the most nimble fella. Oh lucky, luckily he
plays first base. But he's a decent first base when
he's not a gold glover. It's not like you're ut,
it's all the way. Oh wait, hold on, I gotta
stop right there and at least give you a counterpoint.
Were you ever counting on Alonzo to be a base dealer? No, no, no,

(07:53):
whatever I'm saying, he's not gonna get faster, He's only
gonna get slower. And beef ever have him because he
was a quick on his feet. Never he's always been
a big galute. I'm gonna give you some numbers, and
when you talk about GMS, I'm not a saber metrics
type of guy. I'm not. I'm not a luk at
the number. I think I'm in between. It's instinct and

(08:16):
numbers together. Anyone that relies on one of those things.
You can't rely on your gut one hundred percent, and
you can't rely on numbers one hundred percent. But home
runs and fifty six sixty remember rookie year, unstoppable, fifty
three dingers the last three years. Let's go last three years, right,

(08:37):
forty forty six thirty four, So a career low in
home runs RBI. He also had some very clutch home
runs when they mattered. That is true, they mattered in
the playoffs. That is the next layer of the conversation.
Save your thoughts. But as far as regular season production,
home runs down, his lowest RBI three years ago. He

(09:02):
led the league one thirty one two years ago, one
eighteen last year, eighty eight strikeouts three years ago, one
twenty eight. Two years ago he struck out one hundred
and fifty one times. Last year one hundred and seventy
two times. So what's god one down year? No, I'm

(09:22):
saying the numbers are trending away from Pete Alonzo. Home
runs down RBI down, strikeouts up, getting older. Yet I
still think three years, seventy million dollars final offer.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
I think the Mets are doing him a little dirty.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
I think they're completely doing him dirty. And I and
all the right things like oh, we like him as
a guy, we wanted to work it out. That's bs.
That's like a woman saying, look, I really love you
and I really like you, but you know, I just
feel the need see other dudes. It's like, well, then
you don't love me that much. Looked like, listen, it

(10:04):
goes what the Mets could say all the right things.
They don't love him enough to give him what he wants.
I mean, they gave Wan Soto seven sixty five over
fifteen winker. They just signed aj Minter for twenty two
million for two years your new lefty reliever. And they
signed a Manyah starting pitcher lefty who did great in
the postseason. They gave him got this three year, seventy

(10:25):
five million. And that's where it rubbed me weird, because
I know that pitching is more important to get that
rotation going, and Manyah really clicked last year. I just
think he's a homegrown dude. He it could have been
a lifelong Met that would be on the brink of
breaking lots of Met records. I think he has a

(10:50):
good relationship with the fans. I think the fans like
Pete Alonzo. I think he's the guy that started let's
eff and go. Yeah, he's a little goofy, and I think,
you know, because he's grown up in city Field, we've
accepted him as the goofy Met guy, but he puts
up big numbers. I really saw him as the next
David Wright, like the next guy that could be the

(11:12):
face of your team. All these other kids, the characters,
Yeah they're big stars, but they're not Pete Alance listen,
and I think New York needs a guy like him.
The Mets have to keep up with the Braves, the Phillies,
the Yankees, the Dodgers, the Padres, the elite teams, the Astros. Dude,
I wish the Yankees would get rid of gold Schmid.
I wish it was away and then scoop up Pete

(11:34):
Alonzo seriously, because he's a fir. You don't need him
to be limber and agile. He's a big, lumbering power
hitting first basement. But as the offseason carried along. I
thought the Mets were not going to give him six
or seven years. I thought the Mets were gonna give Pete.
I thought the final contract offer would be four years,

(11:57):
one twenty. I thought they were really going to give
him thirty a year. And Monty has breaking news in
the baseball world. What do you got, Manzi, let's hear it.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Breaking news from Fox Sports.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
I mean, you guys aren't gonna care as much about
this as Danny g and I guys. But Roki Sasaki,
who we have been waiting for, right like it was Padres,
Blue Jays Dodgers.

Speaker 5 (12:23):
Officially, he is signing with the Dodgers.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
On his Instagram, he broke the news, posting a picture
of the Dodgers.

Speaker 5 (12:32):
Uh, so it's happening.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
He said.

Speaker 4 (12:35):
It was a very difficult decision, but I will do
my best to make it the right decision when I
look back after my baseball career. Obviously this is translated.
I want to slip my sleeve on the Dodgers uniform
at the opening conference, thanking everyone who has supported me
thus far. This is translated, so it probably sounds a
little funky because I press the translate. But yes, a
twenty three year old right hand, right handed picture coming

(12:57):
to the Doyers.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Can you translated from yen to dollars? What's the US
doing the numbers show?

Speaker 5 (13:02):
No, we do not know the numbers. We don't know.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
Everyone is literally going off this Instagram picture that he
posted seven minutes ago.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Wow, that surprising.

Speaker 5 (13:12):
The rich get richer bring it?

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Wait, so you mean to tell me he's joining the
team that has Shoho Tani and that just won a
World Series and that's gonna pay him.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
And I heard, I heard he just donated six hundred
thousand dollars. Fire, there we go.

Speaker 5 (13:29):
And also I do think the Mets are not doing
right by Peter On.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
You know, Manti, I'm curious what your thoughts are because
you and Danny West Coast Dodgers fans, you're more in
sync with Padres Dodgers giants when you look at the
NL East before you met me and heard me talking
about Pete all the time, was your impression that he's
a premier power hitter.

Speaker 6 (13:48):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (13:48):
And also I'm just big unloyalty and I just feel
like the Mets and should be a little bit more
loyal to him and what he did, especially like if
we're like what.

Speaker 5 (13:56):
Have you done for me lately? Well, I helped you
win in the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Yeah, you run home run?

Speaker 1 (14:00):
Oh fat, Devin Williams one of the premier closers in baseball.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
If not for that Pete Alonzo home run, all those.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Theatrics against the Phillies and the Dodgers series, that doesn't
happen if Pete doesn't hit that home run. And yeah,
I really feel he was a met through and through.
That's your guy, that's your dude, right and now you
throw them away like yesterday's diapers. And I do think
it takes away from the Wan Soto deal. What made
the Wan Soto deal so awesome and you guys, is
like you're adding him to the team that made the playoffs,

(14:29):
and that was the team that involved a power hitting
Pete Alanza. I've heard. I've heard say, well, now you're
missing a major bat at first base.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
I don't like. I don't like that for your Mets.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
I've heard a lot of my Mets fans friends say
the Sodo deal feels less Yes, because if you told
me add Sodo to Alonso Lindor, you're stacked Vientos Nimmo. Now,
some of the Mets have a lineup. It's not the
Dodgers lineup, but it's getting there. You take away Pete,

(15:00):
you're taking away a guarantee thirty forty or fifty home runs.
But I think you're banking on Vladdie Guerrero. My my
big takeaway is that they're banking on getting Vladdy in
a trade this year or signing him next year, which
I think Laddy is better than Pete. But that's that's
a now you're hoping, right Pete Alonzo. I think it's
the low ball offer of the year, three year, seventy

(15:21):
mil final offer because they knew he didn't have a
lot of options, you know.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
What I mean.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
That's kind of weak for a team who emptied their
everything for Soto, but they can't give their guy just
a few just to make it right. They're taking advantage
of the fact that he didn't have the options. Can
I tell you what does it say though that no
other team wanted Pete. I'm not saying that it means
he has no value, but you're not a little curious
that Pete didn't get more offers. It's it's not that

(15:47):
it's I think all the slots are filled, Like we say,
all the time. There's only so many spaces but for
a lumbering first base. But with the market, and I
wish the market in baseball right now, you don't think
Pete Alonzo someone will take them, dude. It's just it's
not going to be anyone that matters up on Toronto
or usually my instinct on these contracts are pretty close
to Toronto. He'll end up somewhere. Now, Toronto's an option.

(16:09):
Toronto and the Red Sox are two options. I think
that I'm usually pretty accurate with the numbers, like, oh,
that guy's a ten or twenty million.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Oh they'll give that guy thirty or forty.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
When I tell you, I thought the metsros struggling because
I thought Boris wanted like forty million year in the Metro, Like, no,
we're going four years, one to twenty. When I heard
three years seventy under twenty five million a year, I
think it's a little insulting to a home run champion.
At first, I thought it was just the amount of
years that they were scrambling over. Then I was thinking
maybe the three year, one hundred million does satisfy him

(16:40):
that way. I don't know, but hey, your thoughts about
Polar Bear Peete and we hear from Dallas Goddard. Next
right here kevinon Rich on Fox Sports Radio. From providing

don't want to leave him holding Andy and Mississippi Pete
Alonso Polar Bear Pete.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Is he being disrespected?

Speaker 7 (18:53):
What's up man, I believe so.

Speaker 6 (18:55):
I've been a Met fan since the eighties. We had
the Jackson Mets team and I got to see Darryl Strawberry,
Mookie Wilson, Hub Brooks, all these guys and it was awesome.
But yeah, I hate that because he he just got
the power and at times clutch. But I did want

(19:17):
to ask Rich something, what is the difference in cyber
metrics and saber metrics, which is what you referred to.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
I don't even know. Did I say the wrong word?
Did I say the wrong say to say you're doing
it on purpose?

Speaker 7 (19:33):
Like course light?

Speaker 2 (19:34):
Yeah, I was doing on purpose for people.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
His light is refreshing the workers in the office.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
I thought it was sabre when they got bought out
by Saber.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
Right, Saturday Metrics, I'll just call it that. That's a
little baseball Back to football Divisional weekend, most exciting weekend
in the NFL, and we got to catch up with
star tight end Dallas Goddard a couple of days ago,
a little preview this weekend, and here's how it went down.
All right, it is Cavino and Rich and his content

(20:05):
is brought to you by Otesla a Primo last and
Our featured guest is a six foot five beast Dallas
got Her, an actual OTESLA patient who has been compensated
for his time.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Welcome Dallas.

Speaker 7 (20:17):
I'm doing well, doing well. Glad to be here with you. Guys.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
Say you got a big smile on your face.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
You should because you rumbled into the end zone twenty
four yard touchdown.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
You were stiff.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
Farman, take us through that play and how does that feel,
especially in the postseason.

Speaker 8 (20:31):
Yeah, touchdownds always feel good. In the postseason, they feel
even better. It's definitely up there for one of my
favorite touchdowns in my career. But uh, you know, it
was early in the third quarter. The offense has kind
of been stolen out lately, and it was time to
make a play. It was a one score game and
they brought a cover zero. Jalen made a check, got
the balls in my hands quick, and you know, I

(20:53):
saw a cornerback and I never want to get tackled
by a corner, so, uh, you know, I lowered my
shoulder on him, pushed them off me. He kept chasing
me down and I just kept pushing him away. Got
on the end zone. It was really cool because the
entire stadium got super loud. All my teammates were hyping
me up, and it was just a really good feeling.
And like I said, getting in the en zone is

(21:13):
always fun, but it's always even better.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
In the playoffs. You got that ball or what?

Speaker 8 (21:17):
Yeah, I got that ball. You know, I decided this year,
I'm gonna save all my touchdown balls. I'm going to
save all more jerseys, you know, start stacking that memorabilia
for sure.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
When you in the future picture that touchdown run, do
you picture it first person? Or have you seen the
highlights so many times now that you actually picture the highlight.

Speaker 7 (21:35):
I'd say I actually picture the highlight even though you
lived it. You know, I lived it.

Speaker 8 (21:39):
Everything happened so fast you kind of just forget about it.
And then you watch the replay obviously more times than
you do it, because I only get to do it once. Yeah,
and I've seen it so many times. It's honestly like
it's a third person wherever the camera was. That's my
view that I see it in all the time.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
Funny, we always wonder that does the athlete remember the
three pointer, the touchdown knocking someone out, or did they
picture that highlight?

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Yeah, highlight yeah. I would imagine he sees it through
his face masking and he's.

Speaker 8 (22:03):
Like, I should they need to get little GoPros and yeah,
oh that's that's got a little bit thick.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Now you got the ball, you got in the end zone.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
But if you were se Kwon Barkley late in the
fourth quarter on his breakaway run, would you have taken
a knee or gone the distance?

Speaker 7 (22:16):
Ooh that's tough, you know.

Speaker 9 (22:18):
Uh.

Speaker 8 (22:19):
You always want to say you want to play the
situation is really smart and do the right thing.

Speaker 7 (22:22):
Happy that we got the first down when we're able
to end the game.

Speaker 8 (22:25):
But if it was me running the ball, I think
I would have taken it all the way to the
one yard line and then taken a knee.

Speaker 7 (22:31):
Get those cards right, touchdown. But I need all the
yards I can get.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
I even saw DeVante Smith was like why didn't he go? Were?
You were your teammates saying like, yo, Saquon, you should
have just went.

Speaker 8 (22:41):
Yeah, everybody was saying that, But I think he understands
he's already got two thousand yards on the year. He's
been racking them up, so he's like, ah, I'll save
my legs for next week.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
I have plugged that discipline. Man, Yeah, that's tough.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
After Jalen returned from the concussion, You guys, the passing
attack hasn't been you know. I guess you would say
fully in sync. What's your plan going into this game
against the Rams.

Speaker 8 (23:03):
We played the Rams earlier in the season, we were
able to get to win. What I remember the mouse
about him was how good their front was. They got
two defensive ends that play really physical.

Speaker 7 (23:13):
They're really good. So that'll be our biggest challenge going
against them as their fronts.

Speaker 8 (23:16):
But having last week growing, you know, it's been a
long time since our offense played together this year, between
me aj Davante and Saquon, I think we only played
one game together and that was the first game of
the year and then this playoff game. So just getting
us all back in, figuring out what's gonna work, how
we're going to attack the defense, what the defense is

(23:38):
going to do to take away who they want to
and that all plays in a fact to it. But
I'm really excited with where we're heading and it's gonna
be a fun game on Sunday against the Rams.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
Well, you sort of clambered him last time. Thirty seven
to twenty, and you got to figure the Rams are
going to make some adjustments this time, so how do
you combat that.

Speaker 8 (23:56):
It'll spend a lot of time in practice and meetings.
The coaches are breaking down on the film. Now we'll
look at it. We'll see things that they did against
formations that we bring out, try to give them different looks,
make sure they don't know what we're running.

Speaker 7 (24:08):
Just kind of tweak little things like that.

Speaker 8 (24:10):
But after you win that first playoff game, it gets
really excited. Everybody just locks in a little bit more
because you know each one you win, you get closer
to the main goal. So I know the team's super
excited and we're going to be ready going into it.

Speaker 7 (24:23):
It's gonna be a tough matchup.

Speaker 8 (24:24):
The Rams are playing really good football at the right time,
and so are we.

Speaker 7 (24:27):
So looking forward to a great matchup.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
Yes, the defense got a lot better since then. Since then,
they put up some good numbers defensively. You guys, almost
five hundred yards against those Rams last time. Saquon got
to be licking his chops. That was the game against
Rams where two fifty five and two tunny. So they're
gonna make adjustments, obviously.

Speaker 7 (24:45):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 8 (24:46):
Obviously, last time they played, Saquon broke the Eagles record,
So that was a cool day for all of us.

Speaker 7 (24:52):
And we're not going to take that lightly.

Speaker 8 (24:54):
And you know the good thing about our offense is
we can win in so many different ways.

Speaker 7 (24:58):
If they want to load the box.

Speaker 8 (24:59):
And take way Saquon, we got two star wide receivers
on the outside, and we have so many different ways
to win. And we got a bunch of unselfish people
on the team that whatever role they're asked playing that game,
they'll do whatever they decide to take away they can
take away. But we have so many weapons other places
that we can rely on.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
Let me give you some advice, man, Just keep practicing
that stiff farm in the mirror, you know.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
Yeah, and keep watching that highlight man. Yeah, just keep
doing it.

Speaker 7 (25:24):
I'll fire it up all week. I'll be ready to go.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Not only that, maybe read Inner Excellence. Have you guys
been busting to aj Brown's chops at all? Based out
of the whole reading the book thing, that's like the
big story.

Speaker 8 (25:34):
Now, we've joked around with him a little bit. Obviously
we've seen him do it multiple times. He's done it
when he's had really good games. He does it when
he has bad games. It's just something that he does.
We have a few people that have been contacting the
author of the book. We're trying to get one for
everybody on the team, and maybe next week you'll see
all forty eight of us on the sideline reading the book.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
So a Brown Book Club. I like it.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
I got to ask you, we're banged up a little
but this year, like everyone, I remember Emitt Smith One's
telling us after Week one, no one's one hundred percent healthy.
Was it important for you to get back in their
Week eighteen just to tune up before the playoffs?

Speaker 2 (26:09):
Is that important?

Speaker 7 (26:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (26:10):
Obviously getting back out there knocking a few of the
cobwebs off.

Speaker 7 (26:14):
See how my leg feels.

Speaker 8 (26:15):
You can't simulate the reaction that happens in games at practice.
You can't simulate getting tackled in practice. So it was
really cool to get back out there, catch the ball,
See what it feels like to get tackled again, See
kind of how my knee feels doing everything, and you.

Speaker 7 (26:33):
Know, it felt great.

Speaker 8 (26:34):
So it was just gave me a lot of confidence
going into the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
I got to ask Eagles they got those sweet throwbacks.
What uniform do you like wearing the most? Do you
like those those old school Randall Cunningham looking eighties throwbacks?

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Do you like the all black? Do you like the
road Whites?

Speaker 1 (26:49):
Like?

Speaker 2 (26:49):
What do you feel the coolest in?

Speaker 7 (26:50):
Man? It's it's tough to beat the Kelly Greens.

Speaker 8 (26:53):
It's something that you see, you know, Reggie White, so
many different players had such great careers in them, So
when they brought those back, that was, you know, what
dream come true being able to wear those for the
first time. They always look super sweet, and you know,
I definitely like him as an alternate. I don't think
they should be our regular jerseys because the Midnight Greens
are so cool too. They just look clean, and all

(27:16):
the jerseys are great, but I would say my favorite
so are the Kelly Greens and the all blacks.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
How did not feel like a band asked that all
black one?

Speaker 6 (27:23):
Right?

Speaker 2 (27:23):
Which one do you think you look the sexiest thing?

Speaker 7 (27:27):
You know that?

Speaker 8 (27:27):
I would say blacks a swimming color, I believe, So
that just kind of helps out my figure a little bit.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
Now you've had a great season again.

Speaker 1 (27:35):
Cavino and Rich here with Dallas Goddard but Saikoon Barkley
had an incredible season two.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Does he get your MVP vote?

Speaker 8 (27:41):
I wish he would have played Week eighteen with me
so we could have got the all time rushing record.
But I'm definitely giving Saquon my MVP vote and him
getting the MVPs, you know, a true team award for us.
So you know, I know the old line would give
him the vote to and me being a tight end,
I blocked for him here and there too, so obviously
did so many special things this year, things I've never

(28:02):
seen on the football field, So he definitely gets my vote,
and you know, I'd be proud to tell my kids
one day a block form as well.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
Nice hell, you're one of many badass tight ends of
the NFL. Are you pals with Kittle, Kelsey Laport?

Speaker 2 (28:16):
Are you friends with some of these other badass tight ends?

Speaker 1 (28:18):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (28:18):
Absolutely?

Speaker 8 (28:20):
You know, I think the tight end position has the
coolest people.

Speaker 7 (28:24):
In the NFL.

Speaker 8 (28:25):
Agreed, you know, I go to tight End University every
year put on by Kittle, Travis Kelcey, and Greg Olsen,
So just try to learn ball, chop it up with them,
and we just spend three days together all his tight
ends and just have a great time with each other.
And it's cool because everybody there has pretty much the
same personality. They just want to have fun, they care

(28:46):
about each other. And then once you meet all these people,
it's cool because no matter who we play, I always
know somebody on the other side of the ball that
I can talk to after the game. Pre game, we're
trying to keep growing the tight end position, and you know,
the or plays that we make, the better it is
for all of us.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
Well, you're fired up the divisional rounds? What do you
do the night before are you? Do you have trouble
sleeping or do you sleep like a baby? Like?

Speaker 2 (29:09):
What is the night before a playoff game? Like for
Dallas Goddter, it's different.

Speaker 8 (29:13):
You know, I have no problem sleeping before a regular
season game, but before the playoff games, your mind races.

Speaker 7 (29:19):
A little bit. Your heart's beating a little.

Speaker 8 (29:21):
Bit faster a couple of days before the game. But
I just try to focus on my breath work. I
try to keep myself as calm as I can for
as long as I can, so I don't waste all
my energy just thinking about it, being excited for it.
But yeah, I just sit in the hotel, do my
breath work and just try to relax. Maybe put on
a good movie, something that can just keep me calm.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
What movie you're picking? Are you a rom com guy?
You an action guy? What is Dallas Gotter watching to
calm down?

Speaker 7 (29:46):
Dude, it's a little bit of everything.

Speaker 8 (29:47):
A lot of the times, it'll be one of Adam
Sandler's movies. He's got so many great ones and you
can kind of get so many different Or do you
want a comedy, He's got some action sports one if
you're feeling like that.

Speaker 7 (29:59):
So he's I got it all. So it's probably usually
Adam stand on their flick.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
You pumped about Happy Gilmore too.

Speaker 7 (30:03):
Oh, I can't wait for that. I'm super excited about
that shout out. You know Trad made that one. So yeah,
and wait for that one to come out, dude.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
A couple more stiff arms, you'll make the third one.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
Bro. Hey Dallas, we recently saw your Instagram post about
your struggles with plaquoriasis. Can you tell us about how
that impacts your life as a football player.

Speaker 7 (30:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (30:21):
So, plaquariasis is an automi immune condition that makes my
skin itchy and scaly.

Speaker 7 (30:25):
I've been dealing with it since I was a kid, and.

Speaker 8 (30:27):
Sometimes I just want to cover it up on and
off the field so people won't see my plaques.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
I'm assuming with all the football equipment and gear, that's
tricky for.

Speaker 8 (30:34):
You, especially in the locker room and during summer conditioning
when the rest of the team have their shirts off.
I'm the one who's gonna leave my shirt on, and
then I'm uncomfortable because I'm hot and I'm itchy.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
We also hear you finally found the treament for your
placoriasis that fits your lifestyle. You're taking Otela. Can you
tell us about it.

Speaker 8 (30:50):
I've tried lots of treatments, and I've been using different
topicals over the years, but they were greasy and felt
so uncomfortable.

Speaker 7 (30:56):
They were also tough to apply in those hard to
reach places under my gear.

Speaker 8 (31:00):
I asked my doctor about other options, and she told
me that Otesla is a pill that might be a
better fit for me.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
How is Otesla different from other things you've tried before.

Speaker 8 (31:07):
Topicals only treat the flaky, scaly plaques on my skin,
but Otezla's a pill that works inside my body where
plaque sariasis begins.

Speaker 7 (31:15):
There's no mess, and.

Speaker 8 (31:16):
Unlike topicals, I don't have to worry about getting all
greasy under my gear or sweated it off while I'm playing.
With Otesla, I can get clear skin after just four months,
and there's no more grease stains on my jersey.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
Otesla is a prescription medicine used to treat adult patients
with plaqu sariasis, for whom phototherapy or systemic therapy is appropriate.
Otesla can help you get clearer skin after just four months.
Don't use Otesla if you're allergic to it, get medical
help right away. If you have trouble breathing or swallowing,
swelling of the face, lips, tongue, throat, or arms, severe diarrhea,
nausea or vomiting, depression, suicidal thoughts or weight loss can happen.

(31:50):
Tell your doctor if any of these occur, and if
you have a history of depression or suicidal thoughts.

Speaker 8 (31:54):
Talking to my doctor about a pill was a total
game changer.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
Sure sounds like a Dallas. Thanks for sharing your story,
and if any of you listening are dealing with plaqu sariasis,
talk to your doctor to see if Otesla could be
right for you. Visit Otesla dot com for more information
or call one eight four four for OTESLA for prescribing info,
info about.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
Cost and more. Good luck this weekend divisional round.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
Congrats brother, thank you, man, thank you, Thank you, Dallas Goddard,
thanks to our pals at OTESLA and Dallas.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
Hopefully has a big game this weekend.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
Nice guy. Nice Catch him up earlier this week with
Dallas Gonnard. Hey, we're gonna get into some weekend hobnobbing.
What to watch in the world of sports and entertainment
this weekend other than the divisional round of football. We'll
get to that, But first Mons with an update.

Speaker 4 (32:41):
What's up man, La Mansy, great interview, guys, well done.
Yeah yeah, new Jor League Baseball guys, the suspense is over,
even though we all knew what was happening. Japanese star
twenty three year old right handed pitcher Roki Sasaki announced
on his Instagram that he is signing with the LA Dodgers.
No details on the contract yet. NBA News Miami Heat

(33:01):
star Jimmy Butler will make his return tonight against the
Nuggets after serving that seven game suspension. He's expected to
be in the starting lineup. Seventy six Ers star Joel
and beat Hums the last six games with the sprained foot.
Is now experiencing swelling in his left knee, so he's
going to be reevaluated in seven to ten days.

Speaker 5 (33:17):
This man has played thirteen games this season.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
That is it.

Speaker 4 (33:21):
Don Staley will now be the highest paid college women's
basketball coach in the history of the sport after her
contract extension with South Carolina that will keep her with
the school until twenty to thirty Divisional round. You guys
just mentioned it. Raven's wide receiver z A Flowers doubtful
for that game against the Bills. Egles wide receiver AJ
Brown was removed from the injury report. He will play
against the Rams. Lastly, here, the Sun Belt Conference is

(33:45):
finding league member Marshall one hundred thousand dollars for opting
out of the Independence Bowl. Is because they lost a
lot of players, they lost their coach. They're being fined
one hundred thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
Back to you guys, hey, Manzi Jess being a Los
Dowyer's girl, you and Danny j He's my other Dodgers girl.
That's right, Give me your percentages for when a Japanese
pittreer says I'm going to the Dodgers. Is it Los
Angeles is represented like what a beautiful weather place to
live for someone out of the country, Or is Otani's

(34:16):
influence drastic?

Speaker 4 (34:18):
I would be lying if I didn't think o Tani's
the big difference maker here.

Speaker 5 (34:22):
But being in LA, they do. They do say that
the flight from Japan to LA.

Speaker 4 (34:27):
Is actually really easy, so they do really like LA
for family and for traveling purposes.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
I heard East Coast might have been off his radar
because it's significantly.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
Different exactly like that is a real thing, which is
why the Mariners sometimes have been in conversations of possibly
signing a Japanese player.

Speaker 5 (34:44):
It's just because the West Coast is easier for them.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
Quicker commute and the like you said, the influence of
a guy like show Han.

Speaker 9 (34:50):
Yeah, and he said he didn't want to go to Toronto
because he's not down with Drake.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
I heard that too. I heard that too. Hey, we
got more Communo writch some weekend hob nobbin. That's all
now right here on Fox Sports Radio. Now we're not
TV weatherman, right, but man, your ass looks like you
neck Garcia probably know about driving in winter conditions.

Speaker 2 (35:11):

Speaker 1 (36:22):
Bill Belichick saying UNC is the real deal. He's staying there.
Huh today's speculation of him coming to the NFL, that's
all uh nonsense.

Speaker 7 (36:32):
I think I've already said that.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
His college girlfriend probably told him it's cool to stay.
It's probably best if you stay there. I hang with
co eds.

Speaker 2 (36:41):
I just brought powder blue yoga pants.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
My SI sisters are all going to the game, so
maybe you should stay. We're live ti iraq dot com studio.

drum roll. That's my belly, your press pros pro the
week goes to Dallas. Got her. You know why it's
a nice guy in a swell.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
Fellow because he was nice to you.

Speaker 1 (37:28):
Yeah, he really was. Though, honestly, when you do things
like that, do these interviews, sometimes athletes could be stiffs,
and he really wasn't. He was very personable, nice dude,
six foot five, beast the don and he had a
pretty sweet stiff arm for real, And we'll be rooting
for him this weekend. Him personally, Yeah, you know, when
you grow older and when you work in his business especially,

(37:50):
I can only speak for myself, I start rooting for people,
less teams, more people. I mean, I will always root
for the Niners to crush anyone, but as we interview
people over the years, there are certain players that stand
out and then I the worst feeling is when you
meet someone on your team and you don't like them
and you're like, oh, oh, oh, like pookin the coua

(38:11):
is my dude like him.

Speaker 2 (38:12):
We've interviewed him a few times and he's great. I'm
a Niners fan.

Speaker 1 (38:16):
I hope he catches zero catches against the forty nine ers,
but other than that, I'm roote for booking.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
The coup a really nice, fella.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
Let's get into some weekend hob now, but let's do
it in for the weekend.

Speaker 2 (38:27):
You're winning bets for talking points. If you get stuck socialize,
You ever done anything dangerous?

Speaker 6 (38:32):
You ever dance with the devil in the pale line?

Speaker 1 (38:35):
Friday brings us weekend hob nab. All right, this is
what you need to watch this weekend. Of course, you
have your divisional round of playoffs, so we'll be talking
about it, but nobody else. I'm gonna watch every baseball
fan that's not a Dodgers fan figure out how the
hell you could beat that team, not only in the
regular season, come the postseason. Your sixth starter could be

(38:58):
another team's one or two. Yeah, it's cool, it's disgustingly
and I hope they all get food poisoning in the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (39:03):
Thank you Ross.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
All Right, weekend hob nobbing. So if you want to
go to the theater, I saw a Nose Faratu. I
liked it a lot. The whole monster movie genre is
making a big time comeback. You know how like superheroes
became a thing again. Well guess what Locknus, Monster, Frankenstein, Dracula.
It's like the renaissance about the back of all these characters.

(39:27):
So based on the popularity of The Invisible Man, the
critically acclaimed Wolfman's back in his back in theaters, and
Rich Your Girl. Julia Garner is one of the stars
from Ozark. Julia, Remember you thought it was justin Timberlake. Remember,
Oh that's right. Yeah, at worst stands out she had
she had Timberlake in Scare and Matilda Firth. Wolfman is

(39:48):
out this weekend. I've enjoyed him so far, so I
might check that out. Beyond SNL if you ever watched
Saturday Night Live, there's a four episode docu series starting
this weekend celebrating their fifty years. But interviews from all
sorts of cast members supposed to be great. That's obviously
on Peacock Beyond SNL and over promised that here that's

(40:11):
pretty good. No Episode seventy six. That's our bonus show.
It's on Fox Sports Radios YouTube page. We play a
game name that playoff Star NFL edition before they were stars,
when they.

Speaker 2 (40:22):
Were kids, and we pay homage.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
We do a little tribute to fictional sports characters in
honor of Harry Doyle, bob Uchar Rest in Peace, Oh,
by the way UFC three eleven this week, and enjoy it.

Speaker 2 (40:34):
I do a great Julia Garner impression.

Speaker 1 (40:35):
You want to hear it? Did you watch Jozar? Ready?

Speaker 2 (40:38):
Here we go, Marty, Marty, Marty, Oh.

Speaker 1 (40:42):
My god, sounds just like her. I thought it was her.
You know what I started watched last night because my
wife fell asleep and I was like, I'm going to
start this without her. Forget her. I watched a little
bit of gab Iglesias's new stand up special Fluff Legend
of Fluffy that's been around for a second. Any good
turnt out, you know, he keeps it very clean. There
was a point where he definitely took a turn like
I'm gonna be family friendly. He starts the show by saying,

(41:04):
I've been doing this twenty seven years, so a lot
of you saw me as a kid, and now you
seeing me as an adult with your kids. So fluffy.

Speaker 2 (41:10):
We saw that he's one of the top billion comedians.
So he's doing well.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
The Jerry Springer documentary, I'm finally gonna get around to it.
But you know what I want to tell you guys
about because I don't even know if we've talked about this.
The One Who Lives, The Ones Who Live, Walking Dead?

Speaker 2 (41:25):
Oh yeah, we forgot that. This show still went on.

Speaker 6 (41:28):
Rick.

Speaker 1 (41:28):
It's the one with Rick Rhymes, which like what happens
to Rick? Remember when he got picked up when the
bridge blew up and everything? Do you even make it
to that point? Well? Anyway, too much? Rick Grimes, The
Walking Dead, The Ones Who Live. It's the story of
Rick Rimes where it picks up with him and he's
in Andrew Lincoln of course. What yeah, last night.

Speaker 9 (41:48):
I know it's all about NFL playoffs this weekend, but
Sunday night, the Lakers visit the Intuit Dome against the
Clippers for the very first time. How many Laker fans
will invade the Clippers' new home.

Speaker 2 (41:58):
Oh it's gonna be a long Lakers.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
That's awesome.

Speaker 2 (42:00):
I'd have a great weekend.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
Enjoy your football. Thank you everybody. I'll read it.

Speaker 2 (42:04):
There you baby, are you in the Promised Land?

Speaker 1 (42:06):
Yeah,
