Speaker 1 (00:00):
Folks, we're back on the Way concept presented by The
Ring magazine, and today we have breaking news that I
don't even know if it's true yet or not. It's
being reported and I can't even believe I'm about to
tell you that Andrew Tate is coming out of retirement
to fight on Misfits.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
That's the report.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
What is happening. Let's get into it, the breakdown. Let's go.
I have been our favorite clippers and shippers are reporting,
or at least secondhand reporting from the Mirror Sport that
Andrew Tait, believe it or not, is set to face
the Chase to more on Misfits.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
I can't even believe.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
I just said that Andrew Tait versus Chase de Moore
in Dubai on September twentieth as a headline act for
Misfits twenty three. Now, before we even get into the
story itself, there is a tweet from Maam's Taylor just
was that to okay it was today, keep December twentieth three,
whatever you do the fight before Christmas. I like the wordplay,
(01:05):
appreciate that. Find them goofies that leaked at fans to
deserve to know something though this isn't necessarily confirmation that
this is the fight that's going to happen between Chase
De Moore and Andrew Tait.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
But where there's smoke, there's fire, and guys.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
I don't know a single thing about anything. I am
reporting just based on what I'm seeing, just like you
guys are. But Andrew Tait potentially at age how old
is Andrew Tate at age thirty eight rumored to be
reported to be coming out of retirement to fight on
a Dubai card misfits Dubai card right at the end
of the year Christmas time period in the same arena,
(01:44):
the Cocacola Arena where Degie fought Mayweather. I commentated that fight.
I was there that night, so if this is going down,
I'm just saying it would only be right if I
was there again. But before we do quick break, talk
about today's sponsor the video first one.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
That's right, guys.
Speaker 1 (01:58):

workout what I put into it. And that doesn't just
end when I leave the gym. It ends when I
recover the right way. Because if I'm working out great
and eating like crap, it's not gonna go together. If
I'm working out great and recovering like crap, it's not
gonna help me.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
So whether it's first Forms Formula.
Speaker 1 (02:41):

else that you guys need, you have this backing, this
HSF certified backing that all your products have been tested

as much as I love working out, I haven't felt
better than now when I'm taking my first Form after
my recovery. And I'm about to be thirty three years old,
(03:03):
so I need all the recovery I can get. And

percent refund. Once again, click the link in the description
and get yourself some of the best supplementation on the planet.
Thanks to First Form for sponsoring this video. And now
(03:46):
let's get back into the breakdown. There's a lot to
speculate on here. Number One, the opponent is supposedly Chase More,
which would mean that this is going to be contested
in the heavyweight division. And Chase, you know, the goat
of Misfits, right, He's he's been a reliable guy.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
I love this for Chase.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Chase gets a massive opportunity versus a massive name, one
of the biggest worldwide names on the planet, and Andrew
Tait's that's someone damn near everybody knows of, at least
the name itself. And if you guys didn't know, Andrew
Tait did have an extensive kickboxing career. I don't know
if it was the highest level of kwe or glory,
but he was a long tenured kickboxer that did have
(04:21):
a pretty decent record and won some regional belts or
maybe even some world title belts. I'm not exactly sure
the level, but I've seen him on tape. He looks
fucking good. He looks better than anyone Chase has ever fought.
I'll tell you that right now. And that was in kickboxing,
and I've seen him do some sparring stuff boxing since then,
and we can take a look at all of that
stuff if this report ends up being true.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
So let's let's get to it really quickly.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
Exclusive Andrew ta set to fight Chase de Moore on
Misfits boxing debut. Tait was a world champion in kickboxing
before emerging is one of the most controversial influencers on
social media, and Mirror Fighting understands that he will take.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
On actor turned boxer De Moore in Dubai on this No.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Number twentieth as a headline act for Misfits twenty three. Yeah,
I mean it wouldn't make sense to bring Andrew Tait in,
who yes, is massively controversial. Most people are either on
one side or the other when they think Andrew Tait
is a piece of shit, or Andrew Tait is an
oracle of wisdom, or however you want to look at him.
He's helping young men, he's hurting young men. I don't
personally have enough information to speak knowledgeably about Andrew Tait
(05:23):
the person, but I know as a kickboxer and as
a person, he is a global phenomenon and his name
attached to Misfits brings a lot of eyeballs. You can't
deny that in any way, shape or form. So of
course this had to be a main event. If you're
going to do an on an event like this, this
would be a huge, huge landing for Misfits. I don't
even want to venture what they had to pay him to. Essentially,
(05:45):
if this is true, come in and do this.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
I have no idea, but I think.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
It's a bit of a strategic move because one you
have Chase to Moore, who they have been trying to
promote for a while now and been someone that's been
a very loyal heavyweight to Misfits, and let's say Chase
somehow wins. You've created somewhat of a star kind of
with Chase moving forward in your division and having him
on Misfits. Or you bring Andrew Tate in and Andretate
(06:10):
beats Chase to More and all of a sudden, you
have one of the biggest names in the world on
your boxing promotion, potentially for more.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Fights down the line. Anyway, let's keep going.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
De More holds the Misfits heavyweight title and has already
fought five times this year, most recently drawing against Frain
Haranza Gonzalez last month.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
I think that was in some somewhere outside of Misfits.
Chase does these fights where he goes and just just
goes and fights a guy.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
I don't know where he does him. I'm maybe down
in Mexico, I'm not sure. But they're not sanctioned by
Misfits or any sanctioning body that Misfits is associated with.
But he's still getting experience and five fights in one year.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
You have to come in.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
It is understood that the final Misfits card of the
year will also feature hold on Darren Till, who has
also long been linked with his own fight against Tate. Okay,
this is interesting if Andrew Tait is in the main event,
which makes sense, and Darren Till is not fighting Andrew Tait.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
Again, this is all being reported by the Mirror.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
I have no idea who is Darren Til fighting if
this is all lining up this way, because you're surely
you don't put Darren Till against Carl Frotchen the Komaine,
not the Cobra, No way, no, shay, no how Plus
you'd want to do that one in the UK, I
would think, I don't know. I mean again, you look
back at Misfits cards and especially the Prime card, and
they did have Logan Paul Dylan Danis in the co
(07:29):
main event under KSI Tommy Fury. That was essentially a
card that could have had a couple different main events.
But if you're bringing Darren Till in for this one,
who has been their main event guy, the Darren Stewart fight,
the Anthony Taylor fight, the Luke rock Old fight, big
time made events for Misfits. If you're bringing him in
again and sticking him in the Comaine who in the
world would that be against? The Mike Perry name comes
to mind. He just had a big time win on BKFC. Sure,
(07:52):
Jorge mos Vidal. Darren Till, I'm sure would love to
get that fight back after being knocked out in the
UFC by Jorge.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
But I don't know if orges in shape or if
he's training. I have no idea.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
But do you guys remember back, like, I don't know,
a month ago, sometime around then, something called front Kick Online.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
I don't know if this is a legit.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Outlet or not, but they came out with an exclusive
that said UFC Hall of Famer in three time title
contender Alexander Gustafson turns to boxing. Quote, the maler is
currently in advanced talks with Misfits Boxing to face a
fellow UFC veteran in the boxing ring. Does that not
sound just like a potential opponent for Darren Till. I mean,
who else would be a UFC veteran that they would
(08:29):
want to have in that position?
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Now, the size.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Difference between those two would be crazy, And if Gustifson
could get back down to like two under two hundred pounds,
then I'm down for it.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
But Gustisen was a big light heavyweight.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
He was six four cutting weight to make two zero five,
So I don't know if he could do it, but
if he could, we just saw Darren Till take down
another tall former middleweight move to light heavyweight and Luke
rock Hole. Now this would be a far bigger test
from the maler, but still that would be an insane fight.
Til versus Gustafson boxing as a co Maine to Andrew Tate,
that would be fucking huge.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
And again it sets up that.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Potential for a Tate Darren n Til fight down the line,
or Darren Til Carl Frotz or whatever you want to do.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
But there's that.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
And then also I didn't talk about this, but Leo,
you can find the footage. Dylan Danis was on Demitrius
Johnson's podcast and he was talking about potentially fighting again
soon and that he would be fighting an MMA veteran
in an MMA fight UFC champion in his next one.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
The guy that we're gonna fight next, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
I don't know if I'm allowed to say it.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
It's a good name for me being three and oh
it's a three time UC world champion. So Okay, yeah, okay,
now it is this under misfits strap, Yeah, it would
be under misfits for the bill. Do you have a
date for that yet? I think it's December December. I
don't know.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
I don't know who it could be, but this could
all be happening on the same card, folks, and that's
fucking insane.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
Who else is gonna be?
Speaker 1 (09:52):
I mean, Dean the Greatest talking about fighters leaking this
and that he's probably gonna be on the card.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
This thing is getting stacked.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
Son Tait was a war time world champion and kickboxing
winning his last title twelve years ago.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
He retired with a.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
Record of seventy six and nine, winning thirty two of
his fights by knockout before retiring following his final fight
in twenty twenty and more is one eight of his
fourteen boxing fights and is undefeated in the last two years.
His clash with Tate is set to take place. The
Coca Cola Arena also hosted Floyd Mayweather's exhibition with Degi
in twenty twenty two. Okay, and hold on a second,
(10:26):
I didn't see this tweet a second ago. I'm not
gonna say this is Mams Taylor confirming it, because I
can't say that, but this is him confirming it without
confirming it.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
Mam says.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
If you're looking to watch woke content, watch the Snow
White remake or something IDK with the hands out. This
has to be referring to Andrew Tait because he is
so controversial. Because he is, let's be honest, if we're
going political here, he is hated by the left leaning
political spectrum for well allegations of crimes that he has committed,
and we don't know what the truth is there or
(10:55):
if he's going to be convicted of those things, but
as of right now, there are just allegations and I
think he's continuing to fight those allegations. But that to
me seems like a soft commitment to saying, yeah, we're
having Andrew Tate fight. So with that being said, I'm
gonna go ahead and you know, go out.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
On a limb and say this is actually happening. It
may not be.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
I mean, I think it's gonna be against Chase to Moore.
Chase doesn't even know apparently, as he tweeted this, this
is the first time I'm hearing about this. Definitely cap
but shit, I'll take a Payday, so who knows what's
actually happening. I've seen Chase pull stuff like this before,
though not to like ruin the gag here if that's
what's going on, but I've seen him do this and
then it ended up being true. And then you had
this interesting Instagram post from Misfits today which I don't
(11:34):
know if it has anything to do with anything, but
when you're hearing the names on this December card and
you're seeing Andrew Tate, Darren Till, potentially I have no idea,
but potentially Dean the Great and now a tweet or
not a tweet and an Instagram post from Misfits nine
hours ago about a Nissan Gibb.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
Let's take a look at this.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
For our top three fighters we'd love to see GiB face.
We're gonna start off with Tony Ferguson. I think that
unification fight is something.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
That hold on a second.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Are you telling me we might potentially get a Nissan
Gibb Tony Ferguson on this card as well. I'm not
saying that's what they're leaning at here or even what
they're hinting at, but it would make sense. You wouldn't
have to put GiB Or Tony in a compromising main
event spot in a place in Dubai where we don't
know how they would do. There's still massive names. There
would be the Misfits belt on the line, and you
(12:22):
have a legend.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
In Tony Ferguson that had one of the biggest.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
Impacts potentially you could have coming into Misfits beating Salt Poppy.
People going absolutely nuts. I was going nuts on commentary.
And now the guy that Salt Poppy potentially was gonna
fight GiB or whoever else, maybe Slim in a rematch,
Tony beats him. Now Tony gets gibb after give beats Slim.
And the guitar card where I came out with the
(12:45):
mask on and was I, you're ready to go potential card,
potential potential Misfits December card main event. Andrew Tay versus
chase him more.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Then we have our comin Darren.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
Hill versus question Mark, Mike Perry or hey, we don't know,
Tony Ferguson versus Annis Son, Kay Dean Great versus Lil
Cray Cray. All right, so let's just say and I'm
I'm I'm grasping at Strawsier I have no idea if
(13:19):
this would be a potential layout of the card, but
if you had something like this, I forgot about this.
But let's just say even Dylan Danis is available, right yeah,
Misfits Mma Dylandnis versus whoever, Dean the Great potentially versus
LITL Craig Cray, which I think everybody would want to
see in this scene, specifically Tony Ferguson a Nissan GIBB,
Darren Till versus maybe Mike Perry, maybe Jorge somebody. I
(13:40):
have no idea, Andrew Tate Chase to more in the
main event, This right here is a pretty fucking stacked Misfits.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
Card, the best one top to bottom, I would.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Say, since a prime card, at least as far as
name value is concerned. And again this is just me
hypothetically making a card up, but I have to think
that there's a reason they're starting to promo a Nissan
GI and what he's gonna do next? Talking about Tony Ferguson,
who else.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
And I would say the opponent that would be crazy
to watch GiB face is none other than a mere Kan.
Now when we're CON's been expressing some interest here and there,
he's been sprinkling on the Misfits.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Boty, you'd have.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
To pay a mere kan an obscene amount of money.
I think for him to do this, it wouldn't be
as risky for a mere con as potentially some other
fights that he could take for a big bag. Not
to say GiB can't hurt.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Him or whatever.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
I mean, it's a mere fucking con and he still
looks like he's in decent enough shape.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
That would be out of left field. That would be
one I did not expect. I would most expect Tony Ferguson,
and I think that would probably be the easiest one
to get done. So if that's the case, then yeah,
that would be an insane Misfits card.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
And again this is all alleged, This is all rumor.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
We don't really have any confirmation of anything right now
to go off and say, yep, this is one thousand
percent gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
Yep, yup, yup, this is what it is. But bear
with me.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
Let Mams Taylor Cook here because again you may look
at this and go why Chase the more?
Speaker 2 (14:58):
Why why watch Chase is.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Gon over the Moon for Misfits and done a lot
of things that other guys wouldn't have done for whatever
amount of money on short notice.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
He's gone out and really been a team player.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
And not to say that that necessarily deserves a massive
Andrew Tait fight, but if Tate says yes and they're
able to pay both guys what they want, this is
a good first intro fight for Andrew Tait and it's
a moment or chase to more that can allow him
to maybe take some of the shine. And let's say
it does go Chase his way, then you've built your
homegrown star on Misfits and you're able to do something
(15:29):
with him. But if it goes the other way and
Andrew Tate wins, who have Darren Till on the card
in the comain or a reason, And if that were
to be the case, that Darren Hill wins Andrew Tait wins,
you're talking about a main event that would be huge.
And maybe you don't even do that. Maybe you have
Andrew Tate off to the side and you're waiting for
who to match him up with next, But then you
have Darren Till and Carl Froch and that one's still
(15:49):
fucking huge, especially in the UK. This is what I
like to see misfits doing. They operate in a space
outside of the conventional boxing circle, and they do so
by getting names like Andrew Tait, whether you like him
or not. They get names like Carl Frotz potentially involved,
Darren till is there, Tony Ferguson's there, Dylan Danis is there.
There's a mixed bag of what they can bring, and
(16:11):
it is unique and it is different, and I like
that they're leaning further and further into unique and different
without it being just a complete circus clusterfuck like this.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
This makes sense.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
Now this got leaked and this report ends up being true,
that will be unfortunate that they didn't get to announce
it on their own, But who cares, because this would
be fucking insane.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
I'm down for it. I can't wait to watch if
this is true, this card fill out, because.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
If Andrew Tate's at the top of it, just like
we've seen when KSI is at the top of pay
per view cards with Misfits and with his own, that
usually means like e Connor McGregor, effect, all the big
names want to come up and fight on that card
because one the pay is going to be higher too.
The eyes are gonna be there. Three the matchups are
more intriguing. That moment, that thing that built influencer boxing
(16:56):
from the beginning and has stayed around for crossover boxing.
That moment of all eyes on you, that happens when
you have the star, the notoriety of somebody, the level
of and Andrew Tata, Ksi, Connor McGregor, a Jake Paul
a little bit. All those things come flooding back into
the scene. So that's the video, man, that's the report. Allegedly,
according to The Mirror, Fighting, Andrew Tait will be making
(17:19):
his debut on Misfits and his return to fighting after
being retired for five years. Taken on Chase de Moore
in Dubai December twentieth, and I want to know what
you guys think. Are you pumped, frustrated, confused, excited? What
do you think about Andrew Tait being on Misfits? What
do you think of this potential card? Allegedly, again from
the Mirror, Darren Hill could be on this card Misfits,
(17:42):
putting a suspicious post out on Instagram about GiB potentially
coming back soon and talking about plans for him Deemed
the great making posts about a fight announcement soon and
commenting under all these leaked announcements. There's some things happening,
some things are going on. I'm gonna get on this
your phone and check out what I can find out
for myself. But I have no idea what to make
of any of this. I gotta admit though, if it's true,
(18:04):
I'm pretty damn excited the fight before Christmas. If this
goes down, it would be one of the best I
think Misfits events to date.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
So is this real? Is this happening?
Speaker 1 (18:14):
I don't know, guys, I don't I have no idea,
But as we always do.
Speaker 2 (18:18):
Here at the Way Concept, we don't have answers.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
But December twentieth, live in Dubai, which is a somewhat
of an announcement in its own right in the Middle East,
Misfits comes back for the fight before Christmas.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
What happens then, I guess we'll find out. All right, folks, we.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Are back on the Way cossept presented by The Ring Magazine,
and today I just can't believe what I just saw
in read the sitting heavyweight world champion, undisputed, absolute monster
of a fighter, Alexandr Usik one of my favorite fighters
in boxing. I'm prefacing what I'm about to tell you
with telling you I love Alexander Usik. I think he
(18:56):
is one of the best talents we've seen at Cruiser
in heavyweight combined. He is right now the staple of
heavyweight boxing and he's taken out all challengers to this point.
But he just said something that really disappointed. He said
something that I can't believe he said, and now that
he said it, I'm just I'm questioning a little bit
of what it is that's going on here with Alexander Uzik.
(19:19):
As he was referring to the heavyweight division, how long
he's gonna fight in the division, and he specifically named
one of the best prospects at heavyweight right now in
the world, Moses Atalma, and he said, I won't fight him.
I'm not going to fight Moses Atalma, not now. I'm
not gonna fight him ever. And to me, that's blame.
What do I mean the breakdown?
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Let's go.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
All right, So here's the graphic Alexander Usik reported by
The Ring magazine. I don't know where this quote comes from,
but he says, no, I won't fight Atalma he's young,
always teasing, and he said to himself, he doesn't hit
Grandpa's I'll fight until I'm forty one. Then I'll build
a sports academy. I'll train there and train others. What
(20:04):
is that for a guy in Alexander Usik that has
fought tooth and nail to get to heavyweight, had to
fight his way through cruiserweight, had to fight his way
into opportunities at the heavyweight division, and then won those fights,
gave the rematches one those fights, and yes, before we
even get into what I know, this comment section is
gonna be what did Moses Atalma do to deserve an
Alexander Ussik fight? I'm not saying right now, Right now,
(20:26):
it should be Joseph Parker, whatever injury back injury that
Alexander Ussik's dealing with right now, hopefully he gets healthy.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
We have Parker Wordley.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
Coming up, and you know that fights a banger, but
it should have been Joseph Parker even before the Duboi rematch.
I'll be honest, that should have been Joseph Parker right then,
right there, And yes, there's Kaby Yell out there as well.
But what we're seeing Alexander Ussik do, and I never
thought i'd see him do. This is essentially rule out
one fighter in the heavyweight division that he will not fight.
Notice again, I'm not talking about right now because no,
(20:55):
Moses to Talma should not be fighting Alexander Usik right now.
He has not earned that right. And again he's not
even fought a top ten guy. There's things that Moses
needs to do. But right now, Usik is thirty eight
years old. His birthdays in January, meaning by the time
the world does three more laps around the sun. And yes,
for you flat earthers, the Sun does not move around
the Earth. The Earth moves around the Sun. Alex Under
(21:15):
Usak will be forty one. That'll be three more years
or two and some change. I guess of Moses Atalma
gaining experience in the heavyweight division, and surely, I mean,
I think we all are in agree ins that at
that point he'll have not only more experience, but he'll
have fought tougher guys and be in position for a
heavyweight world championship. Maybe the heavyweight world champion still being
Usik doesn't mean that USA can't fight Parker or Kabiel.
(21:38):
But I just don't want to see Usik Fury three.
I mean, honest, I don't really care to see Usik
Joshua three or Usik du Wa Thrie. We've seen what
happens there. He's a better boxer than all three of
them combined, and maybe not combine.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
I'm a little crazy, but you get what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
It would be one thing if Alexander Usak came out
and was like, listen, I don't want to fight for
very much longer.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
I want one more fight.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
I want And I know that he had kind of
tea that after the DWI fight, but this is is
a completely different statement. And even after the DWI fight
he was saying, you know, I'm just getting started, or
I've still got a lot left in me or whatever
I'm paraphrasing whatever he said. He's talking about two years
in change, still left in his career. And you don't
you notice he's not saying I won't fight Joseph Parker
or I won't fight you know, Kabyel. He's singling out
(22:19):
Moses Atalma. I have to think that's because Moses Atalma
as a younger guy. You see kind of him mentioning
it here. He's like he said himself, he doesn't hit
Grandpa's he's young. He's always teasing me.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Who sick.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
Is a bit of a jokester, and he's always understood
the meaning of taking tough fights and building big fights
like he has with Fury Joshua, doing the character stuff,
all of that. So I I it racks my brain
to think why he wouldn't if he's going to be
in the sport for a couple more years, why he
wouldn't take on what, in my opinion, will be the
most challenging fighter at that time.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
It'll be Moses Atalma.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
I know that Moses skipped out on the IBF title eliminator.
I get that, but I also saw that he was
potentially going to step up for the WBA regular belt,
which is an easier fight. I get that, but a
point being that's how close Moses to Talma is already
right now to potentially being a world title contender, whether
it's for the IBF, whether it's for the WBA. He's
(23:09):
a couple of fights away from fighting for a belt,
maybe one fight away from fighting for a belt, And
you're telling me he's not going to be at Usik's
level as far as worthy of a world championship in
those two years.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
That's bullshit.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
I don't believe that at the least bit I don't
believe it. And for people that are going to come
out and be like, well, Usik can.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
Do what he wants.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
He's earned that right, Sure, he can do what he wants.
But when you say that and then you exclusively say
you're not going to fight the one guy that I
believe in the heavyweight division can actually challenge Usik for
his belts, I'll be honest. I'm at that point now
where I don't know. I don't think Joseph Parker is
going to challenge Usick for those belts. I don't think
Kabiel is going to get those belts off him. There's
(23:47):
one guy that I think, realistically, in the next year
and a half to two years, can get those belts
off Usik, and I think it's Moses to Talma.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
That's what I want to see.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
I want to see the next big thing coming up
and trying his hand. And I said the same thing
in MMA with John Jones and the Tom aspinall situation,
either you stay around long enough for that new guy
to come up and take the belts or you retire
before it happens, and Usik's kind of playing that middle
ground where he'll fight other guys. Then again, those guys
more deserving right now, that's fine, fighter, Joseph Parkers, fight
(24:16):
your kab yells. I'm fine with that, But don't don't
automatically dismiss a potential fight with one of the bigger
names and one of the most talented heavyweight boxers I've
seen in a while coming up, when inevitably he'll be
in that position.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
Why would you do that?
Speaker 1 (24:28):
Why would you immediately shut it down unless it was
just simply that you didn't want any part of him.
If you're Usik, you want no part of a talma,
which tells me that's the one guy he's not confident
in beating right.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
Now or in two years.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
It's it's a very just disappointing situation because I'm I'm
I was planning on being hyped for that fight in
a couple of years. I was planning on watching this
story build between the greatest of this generation in Alexander
Usik and potentially the best of the next generation, him
fighting his way to the top of the mountain, Usik
there waiting on him and we have this ultimate showdown,
and that was what I was I was so pumped
(25:01):
to see And don't get me wrong, I'm pumped to
see Parker give it a shot. He's had a run
that's been insane to watch and he deserves his shot.
Kabyell same thing. But like this, it just leaves a
bad taste in my mouth. That makes me, like, think
of the problems that boxing has had for as long
as it's had, the problems of fighters not fighting the
best at the time they are the best. Lusik hasn't
done that to this point. Lusik has fought every best
(25:22):
guy that he can and maybe again, if you want
to say, he's deserved the right now to just call
his shots and he's gonna He's probably gonna fight Joseph
Parker will see again if the back injury and whatever else,
He's probably gonna fight Kabyel at one point, He's probably
gonna fight Fury for the third time. Meanwhile, you have
this freaking monster in waiting in Moses a Talma. Then again,
(25:43):
I'm not saying he deserves the shot right now. I'm
just saying it's a bad look. I feel like for
a champion sitting champion undisputed to sit there and go, yeah,
I'm gonna fight for a couple more years, and you know,
I'll be around it to fight contenders, but I'm not
gonna fight that guy. I'm not gonna fight him. The
most hyped, potential best of the younger generation heavyweight boxers
that at that point will be, in my opinion, and
(26:06):
I think many others at world level, I won't fight him.
Everybody else but him that It just rubbed me the
wrong way seeing this today from Alexander Uzak, and I
don't I don't know if he's joking. I don't know
if maybe this is out of context, but I didn't
see anywhere where he said I won't fight him right now.
I didn't see anywhere where he said, you know, let
the guy win some fights and then we'll see. He
just flat out said I'm not going to fight him,
and I don't understand that. I think that is a
(26:28):
misstep for Usik. If he got to the point where
Atalma was at world title contention and he was forty
one and decided not to fight him, then again, I
would have some grace for that, because you know what,
I'm forty one years old. Body's not there. This guy
is a younger, faster, and more explosive guy than me
right now, and it doesn't it doesn't make any sense
for me to go in there and just risk my legacy.
That makes sense, but to do it right now while
(26:49):
you're still willing to take fight and defend your heavyweight championship,
essentially just calling your shot to be like, I won't
be ready when he's ready. Maybe there's some honesty in that,
but it just I don't know. It leaves a sour
to my mouth that it makes me feel like that's
the one fight he's not confident in and the one
fight that he'll avoid. And I never thought I would
say Usik would avoid fighting someone genuinely, And I'm saying
(27:10):
it now because he's saying we're not even at the
point where you can call it ducking because I don't
think Moses Talma is ready for a heavyweight title fight.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
He hasn't earned that right yet. But I don't know.
This just didn't feel right.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
It felt like Usik again was just shutting down a
potential massive fight or a potential huge, huge opportunity, or
just the sake of doing it. And again, all it
tells me is that he wants no part of Moses.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
To Talma, I say, he's scared.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
I'm just saying he sees what's coming on the horizon,
and this young, speedy, technical, quick, powerful heavyweight is the
one guy he wants no part of. Is the one guy.
Maybe in the back of his mind he goes, Yeah,
that guy can beat me, not only right now potentially,
but definitely in a couple of years.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
Take that for how you will.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
But I'm just I'm looking at this and going, man,
never thought I'd say Alexander Usik would avoid somebody purposely
and do it two years ahead. He's earned the right
to fight the guys he wants to fight. But I
just I thought this was super super lame. But hey,
maybe I'm wrong, you guys let me know in the comments.
People on Twitter have already told me I'm crazy for
this take. But does this not rub anybody else.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
The wrong way?
Speaker 1 (28:13):
Usick while on top of the mountain, looking down and going, Okay,
I'll fight that Guy'll fight that guy. Hey, that guy
that's probably better than everyone else. I don't want any
part of him. No shot doesn't matter if it's right
now or two years from now I'm gonna fight for
a couple more years. But under no circumstance am I
fighting that guy?
Speaker 2 (28:27):
To me?
Speaker 1 (28:28):
That sucks and from Alexander Usik. I never thought i'd
see that. So you guys, let me know what you think.
What in the world is this statement? Am I taking
this too out of content? Is there something I'm missing?
Or is Alexander Usik really not going to fight Moses Atalma?
Is he really I don't want to say frayed or scared,
but worried about what this young heavyweight will be and
(28:52):
how he would fare against it. I don't have those answers,
but Usik apparently does. Is he's flat out saying he
won't fight Moses Atalma. I think had some mistake, but
I guess we'll find out.
