Tradition, A tradition like no other.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
Of course, where are where are Teduccans of sports talk radio?
Speaker 4 (01:39):
I was gonna tell you. I used to do a
segment with a friend of mine back in Atlanta when
I lived there, and we used to say, what's cooking?
What's for lunch?
Speaker 3 (01:47):
Max?
Speaker 4 (01:47):
And he used to go, I'm first, I'm gonna have
like a nice salad with blue cheese crumbles and Catalina
dressing and stuff like that. I said, nobody does cooking
like VJ. Husky. Ye, I see you post the pictures
and every year like I'm coming out to your place
for Thanksgiving?
Speaker 3 (02:06):
What was cooking at Vjy's house today? Actually this year
I did, for the first time in about eighteen nineteen years,
I did not cook a Thanksgiving dinner at all. No,
My my kids are up at their grandmother's house up
in Palmdale, Okay. And I went by a friend's house,
a female comedian friend of mine, my sister in comedy,
(02:26):
and hung out with them a little bit before I
came in. But I saved today because I'm going huge
for Christmas dinner. I'm going huge for Christmas dinner this year.
It's gonna be at least an eight course meal served
at my house because my son's birthday. My son Cameron
was born on Christmas night. Oh my goods exactly, so
we'll have people over. The games will be on. Man,
(02:47):
I play Santa Claus. I'm a big I'm a big
Christmas kid man as a grown man. But yeah, I
saved it, so I did not cook.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
What is the VJ special though? For Thanksgiving? Though? What?
Speaker 5 (02:57):
Look?
Speaker 4 (02:57):
What are you known for? Because I I see all
the pictures the year and every year they look fantastic.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Number one my colleague greens, Number two my sweet Potato pie,
and number three my mac and cheese. All recipes of
my grandmother, Miss Ambry Spearman. I use her what she
taught me, and over the years said, you're not talking
like Velveta nah no, no, what look listen, let me
tell you something, man. I see some of these damn
plates that people be posting online talking about yeah we
(03:24):
went in. I'm like, yeah, in on a bunch of
can goods. That's what your ass went in on a
bunch of damn can goods because that's all I know.
Can stream beans when I see them, they not bright green.
They like that army green doing them can green beans
when they're army green.
Speaker 6 (03:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
So yeah, man, I saved this year. Brother, I let
everybody else have it. And but Christmas, I'm going to explode.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
All right. Well, look, I hope everybody as we end
up in the East Coast. I know still people may
be eating on the West Coast. If you're enjoying your Thanksgiving,
thanks for hanging out with us. Yes, we'll take you
through the next four hours. We'll have some fun well
to get to you know, this is what you talk
about if we worked three straight Thanksgivings. I enjoy work
at thanks Giving. First of all, I'm on the East
(04:06):
Coast some late at night. It's either this or you know,
finish out watching that four Differencisco game. Oh god. And
there's so much sports going on, not only today, tomorrow,
this weekend. I mean it's crazy NFL college football. I've
been I watched my Arizona Wildcats being Michigan State, and
college hoops in a great game. So much going on
(04:27):
right now, VJ.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
You know tons going on. NBA is going on right now.
I'm a big National Hockey League guy. My New York
Rangers are out to a great start after a coaching
change this offseason, so it looks like it's gonna be
them in the Bruins to battle it out in the
Eastern Conference to get the play for Lord Stanley's late
in May early June. You got college hoops. My Tar
Hills are rolling doing what they do. College hoops is
(04:48):
great right now. NBA, we'll get in some more of that,
but the best thing is college football. Looks we've got
the Egg Bowl on today, you got games tomorrow. We
already know what's happened on Saturday at noon Eastern time.
The game we'll get. We already know about that. The
Iron Bowl, I mean, we eat the Apple Cup, the
Silvil War. It's loaded this week talking are we talking
to that Michigan Ohio Steak Gable. We're gonna put away
(05:11):
a couple of segments. Listen, we could talk whatever we
listen whenever. Y'all ready for me to talk hell. Jimmy Free,
Jimmy Free, m jim Hey, Jimmy, we got you though.
We gonna take this one and then go ahead. You'll
be back for the Big Ten championship game. We'll stump
out I when and we'll move on to the college football.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
I'll tell you, I'll tell you what I know. Rob
before us likes to take phone calls. We love to
go ahead and deal with people on Twitter, you know,
and we are gonna do your favorite Thanksgiving sports moments.
We'll do that if you want to send that in
and VJ and I will give ours a little bit
later on this hour. But if you want to just
go ahead, uh, you know, go ahead and tweet on in.
(05:48):
Let us know where you're listening from, how you're listening, radio,
the app, all that stuff. Always curious, VJ. What part
of the country are people listening for or if they're
listening outside the country to us on this Thanksgiving you know.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
I'm seeing some of the fans that tune into our network. Faithfully,
I always tell people we have the best radio fans
in the world at Fox Sports Radio. No fan base
can touch our fan base. We have fans that like
listen to everybody. They don't just listen to certain people.
They know what you're saying. They know what Chris is saying,
they know what gott Leaps saying, they know what Colin's saying,
they know what Cavino and Richard say. They know what
everybody is saying. And listeners in Houston already tweeting about us.
(06:24):
Listeners back East, our good friend Benny out there in Australia.
Good duy Mike out there, listen. We international, baby, It's
not a NAT. I tell people I don't have a
national radio show. I have a global radio show. O
can't It just kind of is what it is, you know.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
What I mean?
Speaker 4 (06:37):
Sports? There's Fox Sports Radio in New Zealand. I don't
know if you know that. There's a network that carries us.
Yes out there also, so everybody, we go all over
the place.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Just go and tweet us.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
Let us know.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
VJ tell everybody your Twitter addressed us. It takes like
an hour to say no, it doesn't because you made
me change it. It's just big vanilla funny. You're the
reason why change it, because you told me how much
you hated it on live air. And I'm like, man, God,
I thought that was creating, you know, Husky Entertainment. I
got my LLC. I'm trying to be trying to be
an adult in a business man. You're like, you know, VJ,
I really hate your Twitter, your handle, you saying I'm like,
(07:09):
goodness great, which keep the gloves up? Are any goodness? Great?
Speaker 4 (07:13):
Is so big vanilla funny if you want to, said VJ,
or you could just do it to me at stinking
genius one. Let us know how you're listening and where
you're listening. We love to hear a few on this Thanksgiving.
We know some people have to spend it alone. Some
people their family could come into town. Did you see
you're that way? I'm gonna ask you, did you see
every year I look forward to those pictures or the
(07:35):
video of the four oh five on Twitter where you
just see a gridlock. Every year on the Wednesday before yeah, Thanksgiving,
I said to myself, thank goodness, Yes, I don't live
back in LA when I had to go through that,
you know, my godness.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
And this is without fail, it's without fail. The night
the rush hour traffic, Yeah, on the Wednesday, the night
before Thanksgiving and Los Angeles is the worst. And that's
including me living in the and DC area. It's the
worst I've ever seen. In mind, those pictures are not fake, guys,
They're not not ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Those
pictures are not fake. They're not doctored up. That is
(08:11):
what the four or five, the one o one, the
five to one ten in a ten, that is exactly
how it looks. And it goes like that till about
ten pm. Is everybody tying to get people trying to
get out of town. I love it.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
I love it all right, So let's get to it.
Like we said, a lot of stuff going on word
halftime of the last NFL game, A big snooze here. Actually,
they just started the second half. San Francisco twenty four
to three over Seattle. There's not gonna be a comeback
in this one. Seattle is gonna fall. Big loss for
them when it does happen, because they were in the
playoff race or they were one of the playoff teams VJ,
(08:42):
so we'll see if they get replaced. It's gonna be
an interesting fight for a couple of those wild card spots.
But San Francisco is starting to gel looking real good defensively,
and a couple questions. What I want to start with,
brock Perdy. I was shocked when I said, when I
started realizing and I saw somebody put up the numbers
like he's number one in quarterback rating, number one percentage,
(09:04):
he was actually number one in five different categories. If
Patrick Mahomes was number one in five different categories, we'd
say MVP locked up.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
We don't even have to talk about it.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
Just go ahead write Patrick Mahomes's name and signed, sealed
and delivered. We're still some people don't even know if
this guy's are starting quarterback in the NFL, and he
just wins every week, puts up good numbers, not even
good numbers VJ big numbers out there.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
Your thoughts on party and what San Francisco's doing right now.
I think what's popular with Purdy is for us to
either pick a side, and so I'm not gonna do that.
What I'm gonna say is I'm gonna just let the
season play out. Now. Does he have a great roster
Most people were saying going into the season it was
the top roster on paper in the NFL. So he's
got weapons all over the place. And when you start
talking about system and schematically manipulating the defense. There's a
(09:52):
play earlier in this game where they line up Debo
in the backfield with Christian McCaffrey, but they motioned Christian
McCaffrey out into the slot. So you technically have now
a running back who could play receiver, and a running
and a receiver who could play running back. Then you
have Kittle motion to the opposite side. I don't care
what defense it is and who you got. That's a
lot that have to cover. And he can still turn
(10:14):
the handleball off if he wants to, or he can
take off a running slot for six or seven yards. There.
He's doing what Shannonhan and the offense is asking him
to do.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
It Was he just real quick? Was he doing that
when they lost three games of the road to the Browns,
the Vikings, and the Bengals. Just kind of curious?
Speaker 3 (10:29):
No, No, he wasn't. Those were good defensives, but he
was missing listen. Deebo Samuel is one of the best
in my opinion, He's a top five player in the
league player, not just a receiver. He is a top
five to rank the top ten to fifteen guys. Deebo
probably falls in my top five because when he is
on the field, he does so much in means so much,
and he's like a young quarterback's best friend. He reminds
(10:51):
me a lot of Marshall fulk Roger Craig type guy
that can do everything, but do it from so many
different positions on the field. Now, of course they weren't
splitting Roger Craig out out why. But Roger Craig is
the first running back in NFL history to go for
one thousand round and a thousand through the air in
the same season. So party, it's just he's they missed
him too much. Shows out what you were gonna say
(11:12):
about you. Of course they missed him too much.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Wait, is that kind of like Minnesota
missing Jefferson? Wait a minute, they went five and one
without it, but I should have been six to oher
without him.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
Yeah, but they didn't have to go to Cleveland and
play the league's number one defense. They didn't have to
play Cincinnati, go to Cincinnati. Oh no, they played Cincinnati home.
But Burrow is just getting rolling. It's a shame what
happened to him, because that was the game where I
came In the following week, I said, Okay, the calf
is fine. The Bengals are back, The Bengals are rolling.
They went in there and they put it on him.
So whether they had Deebo that day, I don't know
if he makes up that point differential gap, but he
(11:46):
does matter. But with Perdy, I'm gonna just let this
play out and see because as the year goes on,
guys get hurt, Guys come back.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
Change today. VJ though the shows today, and you have
to make a decision whether you want to sign this.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
Skylong heard me. No, Okay, they're just no to that
because he's just rookie. No, just that he's got to
do it for e security. The second year, he's got
to do it more than he's got to do it
for more than this has equivalently been about a season, right,
he started at about this time last year.
Speaker 4 (12:12):
Yeah, week twelve, week eight.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
Yeah, I thought it was like nine or ten or
something like that, but either or it's it's about a
two week area of this point last year is where
he started. So now this is really his first full
year in playing. But I signed him long term right
now now.
Speaker 4 (12:28):
But like, you're not one of those guys that has
to date the girl six years before you ask her
to marry you, you ain't coming.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
Not six years. But we ain't getting married in the
first year. We damn sure ain't getting married on the
first day. We damn sure ain't get married off the
first day in the first year, neither. I gotta live
with you a little bit. I gotta see if you're snore?
Do you put the cat back on the toothpaste? Little
things like that, You know what I'm saying. Do you
do when the batteries run out of the remote? Do
you just need the remote?
Speaker 5 (12:50):
Wait?
Speaker 3 (12:51):
You're gonna wait, She's gonna say for crist Yeah, well, okay,
we'll stop leaving the cap off the toothpaste then and
we can move on. But with pretty Man, honestly, I'm
just I'm gonna just let it play out. It's like
I said, it's a popular thing to just pick a side.
It's like, dude, he's got a loaded team. The division.
The division is not good. Let's be road to the division.
I thought Seattle would be better, but it's shown tonight.
They're not in the class of San Francisco.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
They're not gonna make the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
No, they're not gonna make the playoffs. So they're gonna
be the one team that comes out of their division
that makes the playoffs. We'll see when they have to
play Philly, Dallas, the Lions. I know what the lines
look like today, but playoffs always different than the regular season.
So I honestly, Arnie, I'm just gonna hold out on
Oh he's he's the he's the guy, or he's Listen,
let's just let this playoff. Because when he's got all
his weapons, we've seen. But when he's missing a guy
(13:35):
or two, we've seen that too. So let's let it
play out.
Speaker 4 (13:37):
If you're Egle fans, who do you want to see
the Eagles play in the NFC Championship San Francisco?
Speaker 3 (13:43):
Dallas doesn't matter because no one's going into Philly and
beating him, So it doesn't matter who goes. Who's the best?
Speaker 4 (13:48):
Well, I guess who's the biggest competition to them that?
Who do you think is that?
Speaker 3 (13:52):
Surprisingly? So it would probably Dallas because it's a division
game and it's hard to beat a team three times
in one year.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
Well, no, Dacchi, you know that's that When you look
at that, I think it's happened a lot more often
than you believe. I mean, people have done it more
than like fifty or sixty percent of the time. It
does seem like it could be tough to do our Dophins,
remember that with aj Dewey, you did it against the
Jets three times. It's not that tough. The only problem
(14:18):
is I would think that you wouldn't want to face
San Francisco because they've got that great defense now, But
so does Dallas too.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
So Philly has, Philly has Jalen Hurts, and there's the
X factor, so you can have a great defense. Fine, right,
And and we've heard Sirianni and we've heard this quote
echoed over the last two weeks. When they get the ball,
it's first and nine, it's not first intent because they
already know they have the touch push. So and you
have Jalen Hurts. You don't have that with Philly. And
Philly's got a defense too now, and they're missing a
(14:46):
few guys. If by the playoffs start, if they're full street,
especially in the front seven. If Philly's at full street
in the front seven, good luck going into Philly coming
from San fran What twenty degrees nineteen degrees on one
of those sides of the Sundays Night yeah, good luck. Well,
I was.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
Gonna say this that if you don't think it's so
much defense, what about our Dolphins? And that's the same thing.
Goat you know. Can you imagine? And of course there'd
be a neutral, it'd be a super Bowl. But the
Dolphins I felt should have been Philadelphia the first time.
The officials stole that game. And I don't usually blame officials,
but when you have like eleven to nothing and penalties
being called, yep, that was absolutely insane there, VJ. It
(15:22):
was crazy.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
And not only that, it wasn't just the penalties. Once
the penalties started and you start to see it going
our way, you could see it set in with our players.
Tyreek Hill, who I love, did drop a post pattern
that was wideo before touchd and he was gonna score
on and he bobbled the ball and ended up dropping it.
That would have probably changed the game around. And remember
we had a touchdown taken off the board also too,
So I agree with you, but we didn't win. I
(15:44):
mean that's kind of just what it is.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
I get crazy when the Dolphins has never beaten a
good team this year, not a team above five hundred. There,
they're a fraud just kind of like what they're saying
about the Lions now after the Lions lost to Green
Baby Jay.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
I don't I don't buy any of that. You beat
who's on your schedule, And I agree with my McDaniel
and that's the type of athlete mentally I have. If
you want the narrative to change, then change the damn narrative. Yeah,
it's on you to change the narrative.
Speaker 6 (16:07):
All right.
Speaker 4 (16:08):

thing about the Lions. What do you think about that
Lions loss? We'll get to that next VJ and RTI
(16:31):
in for the guys right here on Fox Sports or Radio.
Speaker 2 (16:35):

Speaker 6 (16:48):
It's me three time pro bowler LeVar Harrington, and I
couldn't be more excited to announce a podcast called up
on Game.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
What is up on Game?
Speaker 6 (16:56):
You asked, along with my fellow pro bowler TJ. Huschman's
and Super Bowl champion. Yep, that's right, Plexico Burris, you
can only name a show with that type of talent
on it.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
Up on Game.
Speaker 6 (17:08):
We're going to be sharing our real life experiences loaded

I'm Arnie Spanier. You could reach us a big vanilla
(17:50):
funny I'm in stick a genius one in for the guys.
Jason Smith and his best friend Mike Harmon on this
Thanksgiving Day by the way, tweet us, so let us
know where you're listening, how you're listening. And people already
started sending in their top Thanksgiving moments, so we'll get
to that in a little bit. All so, this game
(18:11):
won't end. I thought San Francisco to be up like
forty two to ten by now, but it's still a game.
What was it, twenty four to thirteen to the last check
San Francisco with the ball with about ten to eleven
minutes left of this one VJ.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
Yeah, and see this is why San Francisco is not
a lock for me. Right. They should have put this
game away and they haven't been able to do so.
Perty is sitting with an interception one point fifty eight
nineteen of twenty eight. So that's again, while I say,
let's pump the brakes even in a game with their webs.
Now it's a division game on the road. Those are
normally some of your hardest games you're gonna play as
an NFL player, or Division games on the row. But
(18:46):
they probably should have put this away. Now they're sitting
at about the thirty one right now with first and
ten on Seattle's thirty one, so they're moving the ball
and they can punch it in right here, make it
thirty one to thirteen, or even twenty seven to thirteen
at about the eight minute mark, game over. But I'm
with you this. When you got a team down and
you're you're that squad, you're supposed to kick them while
they're down. When you're letting them fight and hang in there,
(19:06):
it shows that you know, maybe you're not unbeatable. And
I think we look at the San Frantine because they
started out five to oh, lost in a rows and injuries,
got guys back, and have kind of blitzed their last
two opponents. Hey, how about two weeks to go down
in Jacksonville. I picked Jacksonville, so I lost that game,
and they went in there and blitzed them, and they
took care of Tampa. And it looks like they can
do the same tonight. But on which you, Arnie, this
looks like it should have been pushed out a little
(19:27):
bit and it hasn't been right.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
And Miluck either not playing a better offensive team that
would put a little pressure back on them. By the way,
you know, for a guy that's the quarterback whisperer in Shanahan,
he had Brock purty out his bench, mister irrelevant. He
had no idea that brock Party was gonna be this
great and easy quarterback whisperer.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
You know that, right, Yeah, that's what they're saying. Well,
he couldn't whisper into Trey Lances here, So I don't
know about that. Couldn't whisper in the Trey Lances here.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
First of all, we hope everybody's having a great tanks
giving out there now that they're just kind of wrapping
things up on this Thanksgiving Day. VJ and I we've
worked but three straight now Thanksgiving, so we enjoy it.
A lot of sports going on. Three NFL games, one
tomorrow in our Dolphins take it on the Jets.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
We'll get to that a little bit, but I enjoy it.
Speaker 4 (20:17):
So it's fun. And I'm back tomorrow night. You're working tomorrow.
I'm working tomorrow night with Chris Blank.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
Yeah. I'll be in tomorrow twelve to four West Coast time.
I will be filling in first for Doug Gottlieb, and
then I won't move. The show rolls right into my
homeboys good friends of Mine's Cavino and Rich. I'll be
sitting in for those gentlemen as they sit in for
Colin Calher earlier in the morning, So.
Speaker 4 (20:37):
Technically you're kind of filling in for Colin then. Really
that's hey, you know what I'm saying. Listen, Hey, listen,
have you got to spin it?
Speaker 3 (20:44):
Man?
Speaker 4 (20:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (20:45):
Have you got to spin it? That make the Big
Vanilla look a little bit better than I already do.
I call that a blessing.
Speaker 4 (20:51):
I love it all right. So, like I said, Big
Vanilla funny, it's stinking genius.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
One.
Speaker 4 (20:56):
Is that a touchdown by San Francisco?
Speaker 2 (20:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (20:58):
Look at y time.
Speaker 3 (20:59):
Yep, he just hit You could cross the mid on
a nice on a nice throw in between, like it
looks like a Tampa two zone two safety, high coverage
and got hitting at the ends. Noll touchdown. So there
it is. There's the thirty one to ten and that's
game all right.
Speaker 4 (21:10):
Since in this Thanksgiving and VJ said this to me earlier,
it's like we got to give our top Thanksgiving moments
and matter, Raymond said, Raymond Jason B. Diamond excuse me,
setting one end uh? He said, the leon Let fumbling
the block field goal against the Dolphins in ninety four
has to be the top Thanksgiving moment also Jerome Bennetts
(21:32):
arguing what he called before overtime on the coin flip.
Those are like two of my three favorites. He's still
like two of my three favorites. Obviously the leon let
thing because he didn't have to touch it.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
That was to this.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
I mean, that's just so great that that happened. Doppins
got a victory on that one, and the coin flip
thing is still I don't know if you remember that
one VJO. Of course he said he called one side,
they said he called the other, and it ended up
on the side that he said he called. The end
up losing that game.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
So I remember when he told to the raison I
call has the reps looked right out and said, no,
you did it. And then and then went to the
up end. Are you one the toss? Are you gonna receive?
Speaker 4 (22:08):
You know?
Speaker 3 (22:09):
But that Dolphin, that's the easy one, right, we're both
Dolphin fans. It's the most legendary one that people mainly
remember about Thanksgiving Day. But just some backdrop on that game.
If you remember, that's the year the Dolphins were actually
picked to go to the Super Bowl by a lot
of sports riders. They had a stack squad. We had
got Keith Jackson in the trade at the trade deadline
the year before that, and we had signed Keith Buyers
(22:31):
in the offseason as a free.
Speaker 4 (22:32):
Agent former running up running back for Philly.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
Yes, and they thought, okay, Marinos got weapons tight end,
we got to catch and we gotta receive in fallback.
Now he blocks like moves. Johns can remember at that
point Don Shulu was still our coach, but he always
talked about how you enambered, how Dallas was putting together,
how Jimmy Johnson was building that team. So Marino wasn't
the quarterback in that game. Also too, remember that sleep
(22:54):
and snowstorm came out of nowhere. It wasn't in the forecast.
So when we cut the gable, even the commersas like, listen, guys,
if you're just tuning in, do not adjust your TV set.
That is snow and sleep and ice that you see
on the field. And it made for such a sloppy game. Sotoyanovich,
who made the kick the winding game, I was about
(23:16):
to ask, do you remember who the keys start? Peach?
Are you kidding me? He had already made a twenty
and a thirty one yard of that game, he'd missed
a forty four yarder. That attempt was forty that was
gonna win the game, that got blocked. But once it
got blocked. If you remember that game, the cameras move
away from the field. They're showing Jerry Jones and his
trench coat with both hands above his head, and then
(23:38):
he noticed what was going on. Remember Aikman and Irvin
are in a bro hug grip like a yeah, we
got this one, gritty win, we are, And then Aikman
says something to him. Irvin spins his head around and
it's Leon. Let it be. Let it be, Leon, just
let it be, and Leon set up for the field
goal kick Miami gets out of there. That actually put
the Dolphins. If people remember that put us an eight
(24:00):
in four, eight and three that year.
Speaker 4 (24:02):
I don't remember.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
Yeah, and we ended up losing like the last four
or five games to get knocked out of playoffs. You
lost on the last day of the year at New England.
So I remember that game very vividly and crying my
eyes out. But yeah, man, that game is probably everybody's
first of but it was just so much backdrop to
that game that I think people forgot the two other
ones for me really fast. Two thousand and three Miami
at Dallas. If you remember that one, Jay Fiedler throws
(24:26):
three touchdown passes to Chris Chambers and we go in
and beat Bill Parcells. Quincy Carter, that group of guys there,
Jon Quincy Carter, Yeah, of the fighting Georgia Bulldogs, out
of fighting. Kirby Smarts. Ricky Williams with for one hundred
that day. He clipped a thousand That made him only
the second running back in Dolphin history to do a
thousand yards rushing twice as a Dolphin in his career.
(24:49):
So that was a milestone that day. And Jason Taylor
had a fumble recovery for a touchdown that like, we
went in there forty to twenty one, blew the doors
off in last the Randy Moss game. Dallas should have
drafted him, remember it now, Dallas should have drafted him.
Speaker 5 (25:02):
Me.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
He's been on quote saying Arnie, Hey, Dallas Cowboys told
me they was going to draft me back in the day.
Dallas said. Dallas said, I'm telling y'all right now, Dallas
Cowboys told me they was going draft me. And when
they didn't, draft me. I said it myself. I told
myself right there, every time I get them, I'm gonna
get at it every time. Three catches that day, one
hundred and sixty three yards. Three touchdowns, Yeah, touchdown catches
(25:23):
A fifty one, fifty six, and fifty six. He was
wearing poor Kevin Smith's ass out. So those are like
my three that I remember. I was a big Randy
Moss fan.
Speaker 4 (25:32):
I'll give you one more, but you're not gonna remember this, okay,
trying it's non sports. On this day, twenty six years
ago in the Macy's Day Parade is when Barney the
float blew up in front of everybody.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
Like explode it. Yes, I don't remember that.
Speaker 4 (25:53):
I saw a video of it today.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
It first, it started tearing apart and it just came down.
Speaker 4 (25:59):
After that, they were trying, I don't know if it
was because the winds or something, and they had people,
they had like big guys holding out through it, laying
down on the ground. Couldn't keep it on the ground.
I don't remember what happened, but it was a big
Barty float and it came tumbling down. There's been other
folks that came tumbling down, but that one was on
this day twenty six years ago.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
There VJ So I'll give you another one. I think
you'll love too. Eleven years ago. This is the anniversary
of the butt fumble by Sanchez bumbas Jets. The funniest
thing I've ever seen in my life. For his face.
They go into the rear end of a teen like
that and him get spiked back down to the ground fumble,
(26:41):
Patriots picking up running in the Patriots blew them out.
Remember I was supposed to be a great game. Was
a forty nine to fourteen. They put it on the Jets,
that a brady and they scored five touchdowns in that
second quarter. Just laid into him.
Speaker 4 (26:52):
The butt fuck. How long are they going to be
referring to that one forever? Jeez? What are they gonna
say about that one hundred years from now?
Speaker 3 (26:59):
You know the bum fumble Mark Sanchez, the bump fuffle.
He ran into the ass of his own player and
got spiked back to Yeah, the bump fufble man. That
was you know me, I hate I hate him, so
it was hilarious to me. I'll live that down. I
can't let me ask you a question. Can you ever
look at Mark Sanchez and not think about it. No,
of course, there it is, even though he had a
great career in college.
Speaker 4 (27:17):
Yeah yeah, yeah to say college. Though he did take
it well, he did take the judge too. AFC Championship game.
Did he mat or what he was the quarterback on
that team. I think the defense is what took him back.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
Well still, that's you know, I get what you're saying,
but I have to call that. But see I don't.
And once again, I think we just get comfortable with
these narratives he took. No, we let's let's get real.
That defense is the reason why they got to that
championship game, and if they had a quarterback, they might
have beaten the Patriots that day. VJ.
Speaker 4 (27:44):
Husky already sped your right here on Fox Sports Radio
just to shift gears a little bit because I do
want to get to the Miami judge gave it a
little bit. But was it last night of the days?
We're all just bluing the end when Greg pac Popovich
uh grabbed the microphone and yelled that I hope Alex
back at the studio has this cut where he grabs
(28:07):
the microphone and says, don't boo Kawhi Leonard were better
than that. Here's what happened the last night.
Speaker 5 (28:14):
Go ahead and played that free throws coming up here
for Kawhi Leonard. Norman Powell checks in to give Paul
George a breather.
Speaker 6 (28:24):
This is not who we are.
Speaker 5 (28:26):
I'm not exactly sure what Greg Popovich said to some fans.
I'm not exactly sure, but pop just grabbed the microphone
and said, that's not who we are.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
Have some class.
Speaker 5 (28:38):
So I'm not exactly sure what happened downstairs, but apparently
some fans perhaps said some things to Kawhi Leonard.
Speaker 4 (28:46):
Have some class. Coming from a guy who in every
chance belittles the sideline reporter or the on court reporter
at every chance he gets out there. At every chance
at the press conference, we'll say something political or something
that they're not there to cover. They're there to cover sports.
Coming from a guy who's so nasty, sometimes he's gonna
(29:10):
go ahead and tell us not to boo, not to boo. Really,
I just find it so insulting coming from a guy
like that. Maybe he should worry and tell his buddy
Steve Kerr to take it down a few notches. But
I'll get to that in a minute. But I think
Papavich was out of line when you went ahead and
(29:30):
grabbed that mic out there.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
I give Papa pass because of his history and because
of power. I don't feel the same way you do
with all the things you just listed off. I think
we're able to, at least myself, I can only speak
for me. I'm able to kind of separate a lot
of things when I'm trying to judge somebody, especially in
a sports round. So all the other stuff you said
is true. I think he's kind of the cool, grumpy
(29:56):
old uncle. We all had one where he wasn't He
wasn't a bad guy, and you knew he wasn't a
bad guy, but he could come off as mean. And
the reason why he could come off his mean or
a hole or jerk is because he didn't have a filter.
He was very straightforward, and if he felt like you
were asking a stupid question or even in a stupid way,
he was going to let you know, like the like
(30:18):
the exchange with him, I don't know if we're playing
that sound. I don't want to give it away, but
the exchange at the post, at the post at the post,
UH gave conference Uh excuse me interview where he's telling
the guy I answered that already, right, you know, and
most people don't have to be nasty all the time.
Speaker 4 (30:34):
VJ.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
You know what you think he's nasty all the time. Man,
I've seen him.
Speaker 4 (30:37):
Joke with reporters were he gives like a one word answer.
Speaker 3 (30:42):
Or you know why that doesn't bother me, Arnie, I'll
be I'll be a buck with you, bro. Why are
we bothering coaches during battle? That's the stupidest. Honestly, this
middle of the quarter or this end of the quarter crap,
this is dumb. I never like that because if I'm
a coach, I don't want to talk to you. I
gotta get over here talk about what we messing up
on what we're doing. Well, I only got three minutes
to do it, so I ain't got thirty seconds. Yeah.
(31:03):
I never get mad at guys for that. Yeah, short answers,
Here we go. I gotta get back to the bench. Yes,
no rebound defense. Okay, thanks a lot, VJ. You're welcome.
Speaker 4 (31:13):
So, but it goes to show you that it goes on.
You know, the other coaches can answer questions, but Papavich
shows enough time they answer questions.
Speaker 3 (31:21):
You know, I also think Papavis doesn't care about being
liked either. I think that has a big deal to
do with it. These other coaches you're talking about, a
lot of these guys have personalities and want to be
like because, especially in basketball, Arnie, the slightest team can
get a coach fired. You you rubber player wrong. These
coaches are interchangeable. Like hell. In the NBA there's five
(31:41):
to six new coaches every single year. Yeah, NFL too,
But in basketball, you would think, dude, this is an
easier sport than coach. You would think you could keep
your job longer than two three years. Our franchise is
just changing coaches out every four or five years. When
the superstar is upset and complain, goes to the front
office and complain. I think Papavich is one of those guys,
is like, I don't care what you guys say about
me and think of me. I have five championships, I've
(32:02):
coached his first team for twenty plus years. This is
what I want to do. I don't want to talk
to you. The league makes me talk to you. I
don't have a problem with that, Arnie.
Speaker 4 (32:09):
All Right, And when did my buddy, Steve Kerr become
so nasty. I mean usually he was a you know,
a happy go lucky guy and very funny and articulate.
Speaker 3 (32:22):
Now he's just getting down right nasty.
Speaker 4 (32:24):
Now, Chris Paul got thrown out of the game double
Tech the goal and he didn't deserve it. I'll be
on that. I'll be the first one to tell you.
Scott Foster, the referee.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
We know the history there.
Speaker 4 (32:32):
There's a history between him and Chris Paul and it
goes back a while. Matter of fact, I think what
the something like the last twelve games Chris Paul has
played in with Scott Foster is the referee, they've lost
all twelve or something to that effect. He got thrown
out of the game. Kurb made a comment which I
thought was out of line where he said, hey, it
wasn't Chris Paul that's sucked with your wife, or was
(32:54):
Cliff Paul that stuck with you know, trying to make
a joke. I think that's on a line because you
never know what the guy is going through. Maybe his
wife is sick though, yeah, going through a divorce. Who knows,
Maybe his wife passed away. I don't know, But look
other family members, wives, they're off limits because if you
(33:16):
want to start dragging kids and family members. Could you
imagine if a referee went up to a player and said, yeah, uh,
I'm not sleeping with your wife, so and so sleeping
with your you get punched in the face. You know
that though it.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
Wasn't a great thing. But today's your first question. The
reason why, and as quick as I can the reason
why Kurz acts like this now why he's seemingly nasty.
He's tired of watching his team get disrespected by officiating
and watching his superstar player not get the calls that
a lot of other superstars in his league get. And
over the last five years, I would say, I think
it's starting to really piss him off that his guys
(33:53):
aren't getting the same benefit of the doubt that other
superstars in the league. Are. Or maybe it was they've
lost so much seven in a row or something like that.
Could not be something out a while, It could be
a little bit, and he's pissed off, you know, a
delusion streak and all two. But those Scott Fosser thinks
you're not gonna no one's gonna turn me against Kerr.
Chris Paul In this situation, Scott Foster needs to be gone.
He needs to be out of the league, and you
can't have personal agendas. Are This is why people think
(34:14):
sports is what Joey Crawford.
Speaker 4 (34:16):
There used to be something with Joeyan absolutely San Antonio
Spurs and and Tim Duncan. But wasn't a Crawford that
he wanted.
Speaker 3 (34:23):
He challenged Duncan to fight him.
Speaker 4 (34:24):
Yeah, but did he throw him out of a game
for or give him a technical because Duncan looked at him.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
Well, he threw he threw him out of the game
when Dunkey was on the bitch, Yes, because yeah, he
looked at guys. Yeah, he looked at him, and Duncan's like,
what did I do? And he he threw him at it.
Speaker 4 (34:36):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 3 (34:36):
Yeah. Guys like that or should not be in the league.
There's a reason why you get certain fans that think
sports is fixed. Those are the reasons right there when
stuff like that happens. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (34:45):
I just thought that it's gotten real bad now. I mean,
Papavich just telling us, don't boo. You got all the
right to boo. You're paying the ticket. It's not like
you're saying anything I'm seeing or crossing the line.
Speaker 3 (34:56):
You're just booing a little bit. I thought that was
more about it being Kawhi. I thought it was more about, Yeah,
they were bloing Kawhi. He was at the line. I
think here it wasn't Popovich.
Speaker 4 (35:04):
Wasn't Kawhi not coming back when Popovich wanted him to
come on back and Popovich kind of threw him under
the buzz in front.
Speaker 3 (35:10):
Of the media, but he wouldn't come back with it.
Is that what you're talking about? Well, things change, you know,
people change.
Speaker 4 (35:16):
Things change right by the way, this is brought to

and how you're listening. Always like to keep in touch

A lot of people were not able to travel this year.
Speaker 3 (36:54):
You know, yeah, absolutely. I love the fans. Pay the
Bills man, fans make it worth it. You hear people say, Dick,
it's a cliche. I love my fans and our fans,
even the ones that don't like me, or how'd that
guy get on? Get that guy out? Could I'll say
something about Lebron or their team and they don't like it,
so of course they wrap that around their whole opinion
of me, and I make it a point that change fans.
You saw me going at Bill's Mafia during preseason. They
(37:17):
were coming after I'm talking hundreds of tweets were coming
after me. At least thirty of those people have hit
me back over the last he says. The season starter
was like, oh, I'm not going from I didn't like
you at first, but I was listening to last week
and you done that. I was like, yeah, bro, I
don't like your Bills, you don't like the Dolphins. That
don't mean we can't talk other sports. I'm gonna tell
you about our fans. Okay, I'm going to tell you
(37:37):
about our listeners. Okay, I'm gonna tell you about one listener.
Don't even know his name, Hallidy, but I was doing
a remote.
Speaker 4 (37:44):
I was in Vegas. This was one of the first
years I was on the network. It was actually a
different network, and I was doing this show. Was early
in the morning, and there was a couple of people watching.
It was in the casino, right and you could watch
the show or listen to the show, watch the show
and still, you know, go around, play blackjack or you know, slots.
(38:05):
And this guy was a fan and uh, he came
over and he had me touch one of the coins
for good luck, puts it into the machine, wins twenty
thousand dollars, starts screaming like you wouldn't believe you're the
lucky touch You're the lucky man. You're the lucky man.
You're the couldn't believe it. I would have given you
a tip. I can't wait. He wanted to give me
(38:26):
five dollars.
Speaker 3 (38:28):
Yes, yeah, I have slapped him. I gotta slapped him
straight up. You just want you stacks like real talks.
He giving me the credit. You were giving me the crass.
Not even a good person. We see what a good
person would have done. See he did a nice guy things.
And there's a difference between nice guys and good people.
I'm not a nice guy.
Speaker 4 (38:47):
What would you have wanted? What would you have expected?
Speaker 3 (38:51):
Wow, you can't listen. You just want twenty stacks. You
can't give up two thousand. You can't give up too
to the dude that touched the coin that you said
I gave you luck on I gonna miss that too.
He's gotta pay taxes though? On that is it two
thousand before the taxes? I mean, I don't care when
it is. Just give me my two grand b so
I can stay at another night and gonna get a steak
in lobster till dinner tomorrow night. Speaking of which, real fast,
(39:13):
I'm watching the highlights of San Francisco walk off with
the turkey? Was it just me? Or did the what
the packers don't get a turkey? The packers don't get
a turkey? What the hell was that about earlier today
where they didn't give the packers a turkey, but everybody else,
all the other winners got a turkey tonight.
Speaker 4 (39:26):
Wow?
Speaker 3 (39:27):
I don't know, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (39:28):
You know, usually when John Madden used to do it, it
used to be Turducan you know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (39:32):
Yeah? But every game got win, is what I'm saying.
That's why today felt like a fumble dude. For honestly,
today the games. The Packer game was good, I give
it that, but nobody expected that with the Dallas game wash,
the Seattle game wash. Like these games weren't even worth watching.
And we got Dolly, Partner and Parton and Harlow, Jack Carlo,
Jago Jack. Yeah, and we got that as far as
(39:53):
our entertainment went.
Speaker 4 (39:55):
For I would know Jack Carlof he was in a
two person lineup.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
I want you to know, dang. How about a solo
which a bed line is? I wouldn't know Jack Harlow
if he was in a solo lineup.
Speaker 4 (40:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (40:06):
By by the way, you a shopper tomorrow for Black
Friday or you no? Ba t We purchased our TV
early lastly two nights ago.
Speaker 4 (40:14):
Oh wow, so so be sure you got the Black
Friday deals.
Speaker 3 (40:17):
Got a brand new fifty six inch oh no, sorry,
sixty five inch Sony one of those Samsung small TVs.
Speaker 4 (40:24):
I think I have that?
Speaker 3 (40:25):
Yeah? Nice, by too? Man? It loaded all to apps
on deals on that or what? Yes? Yes? Yes, four
hundred oh get out of you. Yes, that is super unbelievable.
If I had a grant at it bought two.
Speaker 4 (40:37):
Wow, because I have two big ones downstairs in the
man cake. But that's a that's a gadget. I'm a
gadget type guy.
Speaker 3 (40:44):
I have two iPads and a Samsung tablet.
Speaker 4 (40:46):
No, but I mean no, no, I'm more like it's
hard to explain. Like if I'm reading, let's say, here
are the top twenty gadgets for twenty twenty three, I'll
just go through it and oh, I like this one.
I need an automatic wine opener, even though I don't drink.
Speaker 3 (41:00):
Are you Are you a sharper Image fan? I love
that me too. Pull sharper image. Look, the young people
have no idea what we're talking about. Right, that's old school,
right there, sharper image. Sharper image. When you think about it,
was that was kind of like what Amazon is. Before Amazon,
they had everything. They had quirky things you can buy.
Remember the clock that was like floating in the air.
(41:22):
The numbers would the numbers were kind of floating in
the air. Yeah, like the original drones and stuff like that. Yeah, man, yeah,
sharper image. Baby.
Speaker 4 (41:30):
Yeah, I'm not allowed to buy anymore. Every time I
buy something, it's it's like it never turns out to
be what I expect, or whenever I buy clothes it's
like three sizes too small.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
I'm always trying to I don't have one now, but
I would love to get in a smart watch game.
But I haven't found one that I like.
Speaker 5 (41:47):
This.
Speaker 3 (41:47):
Apple watches are too small because I'm six three two
seventy five. I got you know, big arms, and my
Apple watch would just look really stupid on my wrist.
It would look like a lady's watch. You know, women's
watches are normally smaller. That's what a now watch a
lototk like on my wrist. I want a bigger face
watch because my regular watches are big face tight watches.
But I can't find one that I like to keep
(42:07):
my heart rate and my steps for the day and
my calorie burn and all that good stuff. I want
to get in that game. But every time I find one,
I read some of the reviews and they're not so great,
so I don't buy it all right.
Speaker 4 (42:17):
But well, by the way, if you're buying something tomorrow
for Black Friday, let us know. He maybe tip us
off to something. We'll want to buy it if you're
getting a good deal. Again, Big Vanilla funny and at
stinking Genius one because there's a big shopping day tomorrow.
That's why they got the Dolphins and Jets tomorrow at
three o'clock. They're gonna make a boatload of money when
(42:37):
they started to taking all those orders. People watching those games,
you know absolutely, question to you do.
Speaker 3 (42:43):
You like that game being on Amazon Prime? Do you
feel like? Because that now everybody like if you don't
have it, then you can't watch it. But why would
you do that? For the very first Black Friday.
Speaker 4 (42:52):
Games one hundred million four at one they paid one
hundred million.
Speaker 3 (42:55):
Oh okay, yeah, that would be that would be a
good reason.
Speaker 4 (42:58):
So there's a rule that says you can't have a
game on Friday starting at six o'clock Eastern, So they
skirted the rules and put it at three o'clock Eastern
and went ahead and put it earlier. So you know,
I don't know if that's good. I don't know. I
wonder what the ratings are gonna be for that one.
I don't know if a lot of people are gonna
be watching. No, it will know Aaron Rodgers, it's in it.
It's doing the shop just because it's Friday.
Speaker 3 (43:20):
This ship I've been doing the shopping day. I would
have much rathered. I would have loved if that was
an eight pm Eastern time start, Prime Time. It's, oh yeah,
they Amazon Prime, right, so you play Amazon Prime. But
you're gonna show a game at one pm. Like it
doesn't It just doesn't go together, doesn't fit. I'll be
here in the studio. I have it up on my
tablet because I don't think we have Amazon Prime on
the system at the TVs here. But I'll have my
(43:41):
tablet set up in front of me. I'll be watching
it with one ear and so I can hear what's
going on. So but I like Miami. I like Miami
by two touchdowns tomorrow, Brother.
Speaker 4 (43:48):
Big Vanilla funny, if you want to get it, I'm
mistaking genius one. But what I want to talk about
this segment is your Michigan Wolverines. And I gotta tell you,
I've never seen so much. I mean, I understand people
will be on one side or the other, but my goodness,
the hate, the vitriol, the if you're on Michigan side.
Speaker 3 (44:08):
You're cheaters.
Speaker 4 (44:09):
You know, it fests up. I mean people like Paul Finebaum,
I mean they want nothing to do with Michigan. They
wouldn't even put Michigan in their top twenty five if
they have.
Speaker 3 (44:20):
I'm serious, I'm not getting around.
Speaker 4 (44:22):
I know if they have their brothers because they say
they're cheaters out there. Let's start with that VJ. Because
I know you're a big Michigan.
Speaker 3 (44:28):
Guy all my life, Man Sins nineteen eighty three.
Speaker 4 (44:30):
Okay, so here you talking to Bernie an hour four
in the ponent's office. He's a big Michigan guy.
Speaker 3 (44:35):
But yeah, we've talked Bernie and I've talked on the
side about it. Yeah, this is where I start with
the whole Michigan thing. Oh, you've played football, like just
sports period. When you play sports, you know what real
cheating is, like, you know what real cheating is.
Speaker 4 (44:46):
So there's a little cheating in there's real cheating.
Speaker 3 (44:49):
Yeah. Absolutely to me, they're doing sixty six in the
sixty five and no, that's like doing seventy in his
sixty five or ninety in a sixty five. Ninety. Yeah,
you should get pulled over in a ticket. Absolutely, that's reckless.
You could kill somebody. Everybody else is going seventy seventy three.
What the hell did you pull me over for? You
picked me out because we're all doing that.
Speaker 2 (45:10):
Now.
Speaker 3 (45:10):
That guy that was doing ninety, yeah, go get him
because he's gonna cause an accident. He could kill somebody. But
the rest of us are doing seventy five, sir, Like, yeah,
we're ten miles over, but all of us are. You
just picked me out. So what Michigan cheating is cheating? Okay, uh,
but we know what real cheating is HGH steroid circlevent
and Russ banging on trash cans. What the Astros did
that was real cheating, of course, But in a sport
(45:30):
of football, I don't give a damn if you know
I'm running, run right, pass right, I'm trying to get
to this receiver. Arnie, you already have game film on me.
You've already seen my signals. You've already seen my signs.
And I've never defended Michigan about this because if they
did it, they did it. My grandmother and the used
always tell me right is right and wrong is wrong.
Speaker 4 (45:51):
VJ.
Speaker 3 (45:51):
I got raised like that, so I stick with that.
So if the rule was you're not allowed to go
and record, and if that's what Michigan did, slap him. Fine,
you've already suspended Harball three game. Let's move on. But
if you're gonna try to get me to believe that
sign stealing is the reason why I'm running for over
two hundred yards and back to back years against you,
(46:12):
Ohio State, I'm embarrassing you on your own field last
year by twenty plus points, Ohio State. Because we know
where this is coming from. There's already another report that
Ryan Day hired a private agency to set up a
firm down the street from it and spy on it.
I don't even have a problem with him doing that
because I get it. It's the rival where you do
anything you can. This job, this game, excuse me, costs
(46:33):
grown men in their families their livelihood. We've seen it.
We can go back to John Cooper. John Cooper had
a great record, but out of his twelve losses, guess who,
nine of them were two Michigan. That's why they fired him,
and he won almost one hundred games for Ohio State.
It was the same with any Michigan coach. If you
can't beat Michigan State, you can't beat Ohio State winning
Big ten, you will be fired. And Harball felt that
(46:53):
come in until he said, okay, I gotta go get
me your quarterback. Can't keep doing it with these fift
year seamons. Bring in JJ McCarthy, the signs stilling in.
You think we need signs to beat Produced, to beat Minnesota,
to be Wisconsin.
Speaker 4 (47:03):
There was an order that can most coaches say that
if they wanted to, they can steal your signs by
the end of the first quarter, at least by half.
Speaker 3 (47:12):
And so Paul firebomb himself, speaking of which set his
own self, he slipped up in the interview. You could
see he smirked like I might not have said that.
That he had talked to almost every other Big ten
coach and they openly admit we all steal signs like
we all do it, but we cheat within the rules.
That was his quote, which means, there's another coach that
said this to you, we cheat within the rule. Yes,
(47:34):
we sent somebody to go look at your signs. Okay,
if he wasn't supposed to record them, fine slap us
with a fine. You already suspended our coach, and let's
move the hell on. Beat the hell out of Ohio
State on Saturday. It's not gonna matter. Ryan Day's gonna
be looking for another job.
Speaker 4 (47:48):
Why is he missing the last three games? Why didn't
they fight it more? It seems like they're trying to
think the acua A. Well, it didn't seem like they
did their due diligence. And why would he get suspended
for all next year? What's that all about?
Speaker 2 (47:58):
You know?
Speaker 3 (47:59):
Well, the reason why you do it for these three
games is simply this. You're trying to piece the NC double,
which I think is stupid. So I don't agree with that.
And this is a first year. This is this commissioner
for the Big Ten. It's his first year on the job.
He is trying to make friends. He's not trying to
do his job. And that's the problem in every Herb Street.
Joel Klatt, who's our colleague here, who I love to death.
I love watching them on Wednesdays in college and I
(48:20):
love watching listen to him and Glenn and Gus Johnson
call game. There's no better team, just my opinion, but
there's no better team. I much rather watch college college
college football than those two general Right there, He sat
on college couch and said, listen, we like we we
we really truly all get what this really is. This
is a witch hunt. This ain't about Michigan. This is
about Jim Harball. This has got nothing to do with Michigan.
(48:43):
If Jim Harbow was at another power school, they'd still
be going after him. He speaks out against the NC
double A Where he where the thing? He said that
the NC double A really hate it. Remember the speech
he gave where he talked about giving players pieces of
the revenue sharing. You think the NC double A wants
to hear that speaking of the other network, the mouse
that you think he's just being it's a witch it's
(49:03):
a of course, it's a witch hunt. Are you kidding me?
This is a what you couldn't easily just find him
and you could have took some scholarships. Okay, fine, take
five scholarships away. You think that's gonna stop us from
going to eleven? And no, you think five scholarships? Not
to mention, he's only put what thirty NFL players in
the draft? Oh, I guess signs stealing made those guys
that good that the NFL guys couldn't tell what they
(49:25):
would achieve and still drafted him in the first in
the second round.
Speaker 4 (49:28):
They may force him out of Michigan. If you're good
to have told me that he's gone, he's suspended for
next year, he's gonna could be So you think he's
not gonna be cool.
Speaker 3 (49:36):
John Pierry this year, he's gone. Period.
Speaker 4 (49:37):
He'll be the coach to Chicago Bears.
Speaker 3 (49:39):
Raiders.
Speaker 4 (49:41):
Wow, why the Raiders?
Speaker 3 (49:42):
It fits?
Speaker 2 (49:43):
Well?
Speaker 4 (49:44):
The only reason I asked that if Tom Brady's gonna
be ten percent under the Raiders, why is he gonna
bring Belichick?
Speaker 3 (49:50):
Because him and Belichick don't like each other. Well, that's
what I'm kind of thinking.
Speaker 4 (49:53):
All so I brought that up with Mike last week,
though he's had quite success with Belichick.
Speaker 3 (49:58):
No, yeah, but Tom Brad is smart that that's old. Yeah,
we did that, but we ain't about to do that again.
Michigan connection. Baby who played who played quarterback at Michigan?
Tom who played quarterback at Michigan. Jimmy, that Michigan connection.
And it's the Raiders. He what do they need to do?
Speaker 1 (50:14):
Right?
Speaker 3 (50:14):
And still what was everybody saying? Antonio Pierce is doing
a great job at toughness. He's instilling that toughness. You're
tough for Piers right because he loved them. Well that's
that's fine. You can love me, but we can't just
give it to you off of that. When we have
a guy that's proven, we're sorry you you you did
a great job, He'll get another opportunity. Hey, this happened
(50:35):
with Dan Campbell. Dan Campbell was the interim coach for
the Miami Dolphins, and you know what he did. We
were on a horrible loser street. Dan Campbell goes in,
You remember that year we won like the next four games,
and we were blowing people out. But once it's settled down,
you can see we were still the same team. We
just got a new little shot in the arm. Because
Dan Campbell was a tough guy and got big trap
pieces of muscles and veins in his arms. It still
(50:57):
looks like the guy could play. And he talks tough
and talks all tough Middle America and people buy into that.
What the peers say when he took that, I grew
up in the hood, I grew up in Compton. I
grew up with n w A and Raider Jaggar. What
is Middle America Raiders fans? Oh yes, yeah, dah yeah,
that's what we want right there.
Speaker 4 (51:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (51:13):
Let them losses start accumulating, let them see that he
is not a head coach. Just yet start accumulating, and
you let Harball's name pop up there, who you think
that they want in there? They're gonna go, Oh, man, Jimmy,
you mean San Francisco to the super Bowl, Jimmy, Michigan
back to the College Playoff, Jimmy Stanford to Roseball. Jim, Yeah,
we need yet. But Harbaugh wants to leave. I think
you're forcing him out.
Speaker 4 (51:34):
I think he prefer to stay in Michigan and finished
out his career right there now.
Speaker 3 (51:38):
And I agree with you. I think he would prefer
to stay. His family all lives there, His dad lives,
his dad and mom lives neck door to him, So
he would prefer to stay there. But he did interview
for the Minnesota job last year. Well, yeah, he did
interview for them, And so you know, I just got
to call the spade a spade. I love Jim Harball man.
I grew up watching them. I watched them at Michigan.
So I have a soft spot in my heart for him.
Just go get this championship, put it in and put
(52:00):
it in both sham Beckler, haul in the trophy case,
salute hug everybody have with a few tiers and going
and go back to the NFL. Sir, you did what
you're supposed to do. You put Michigan back on top.
You put a national championship back in back in the
trophy case. And you were you were excuse you, excuse
me your duty, sir, Thank you, and move on and
we'll just move on forever. We gotta move on. But
he will not, I repeat, he will not be coaching
(52:21):
at Michigan Wolverines in twenty twenty four.
Speaker 4 (52:24):

Speaker 4 (52:46):
The victory in that game.
Speaker 3 (52:47):
I'm gonna tell you how the game is gonna go down.
Speaker 4 (52:49):
Well, get to that. That's coming up next right here
on Fox Sports Radio
