Hello, Welcome inside the Jason Smith Show with my base
friend Mike Harmon. Yes we are tonight and I am
well dressed tonight because you know, my team is the
best team in baseball. Look at you have the best
record in all of baseball. And I don't need to
include time with the Padres best record in baseball.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
Today.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
Hey, April twenty third, it's a celebratory day. What do
we always say, find your damn wins one hundred peron,
no matter how small they may beat up, with another
chance to fight the day you won. Let's go big
night tonight, Happy NFL Draft Eve.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
We are here, we are ready for tomorrow. I have
big questions, we have big bold predictions. Yeah, the Jets
will screw up, yes number one. Okay, stop that's not
a bold prediction. That's something that kind of oh yeah,
that's science. Whatever the Jets decide will be wrong.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
I know that, right.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Whatever the Jets decide, do we take the offensive lineman?
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Should have took the tight end? Do we take the
tight end?
Speaker 4 (01:33):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Should have took the offensive lineman?
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Oh, and we take ashon gent Nope, should have taken
Whatever the Jets decide will be wrong.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
I do love the fact that you go to a
Jets team page of what did they need?
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Yea everything? Yes, yeah, yeah, we did everything. But whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
That's my in for Joe Douglas tomorrow, who will be
here of course, Hey, don't forget tomorrow night. Let's go
Fox Sports Radio the NFL NFL Draft Live Show is
going to be here starting at eight pm Eastern. Joe Douglas,
former Jets, GM, Jay Glazer, Jenny taff LaVar Arrington will
bring you every pick, analysis, predictions for the first round
of the draft beginning at eight pm each going into
(02:11):
our show, of course, and then we'll raft right screwed up,
that's how it goes. Yeah, maybe we'll start with the
Jets and then we'll go from there because that's that's
pretty much.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
That's kind of okay. Also on the YouTube channel too,
watch it. We're live again.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
We come on right after the show tomorrow, right after

com slash Draft, and again use the promo code Draft
for twenty percent off your order of twenty dollars or
more plus free shipping. But I think that's my end
with Joe Douglas tomorrow, because it's been a thing now
the last year. Now, I'm really now tomorrow's here and
I'm gonna see Joe Douglas. You look like he's gonna
be here at studio yesterday that it might have been
vexing you. Yeah, well no, I'll sleep well tonight because
(03:04):
we just swept the Phillies.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Boom boom boom, boom boomed and boom.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
But I figured out my thing is what I need
to tell him is Joe, I wish I but when
you took the job, I wanted to tell you whatever
you decided to do was going to be wrong. Doesn't
matter if it was doesn't matter if it was right.
But with the Jets, whatever you do, whatever the Jets
decide to do, it's wrong. Well I started to special
(03:28):
quarterback whitse especially whatever the Jets side quarterback wise quarterback
is wrong.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
You see their former draft pick Zach Wilson's gonna wear
numbers zero this year.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
So you got that for the number of snaps he's
gonna play. Yeah, that's right. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
No.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
I was gonna make a nice bedazzled shirt for Joe
that said when you're a Jet, you're a Jet all
the way. I didn't think it would go over well
from your first draft pick till your last dying day.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Yeah, that's right, till till Brick decides. You know, I've
had enough of you. Oh my sweet Brick, sweetened Drake.
I'm the GM now, my sweet Brick, my turn. But uh,
we'll have more NFL coming up. We got big guests
to night coming up. We have tons of big NFL stuff.
But let me just say this first again. NBA Playoffs Tonight,
(04:10):
Houston Golden State just underway, Houston with the eighteen to
ten lead early in the first quarter. Cleveland's about to
go up to nothing on Miami. It's one nineteen one,
twelve three seconds left here. Earlier we saw the Celtics
go up to zip. No Jason Tatum, no problem, they
beat the Magic We'll get to bloody porzingis you.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Know what that You had one of the bets of
the year, though, and decided didn't jump in before Jason
Tatum was officially ruled out for Tonight's game. Jalen Brown's
over under was twenty two and a half points. I
would have bet ninety eight percent of all money that
was this morning, and then they ruled him out.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
I would have so bet.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Come on, man, that's like that. You feel pretty good
about that regularly? No, and then say, okay, if Tatum's out,
he's been trending that way. That's easy money.
Speaker 4 (05:02):
Man.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
That was the easiest money you're gonna get.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
You've had a couple of those situations where like, well
that line doesn't.
Speaker 5 (05:10):
Make any sense.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
I'll tell you there you go that gets back.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
That gets back to it to what we talked about
about a month and a half ago. Look, we have
a look. The NBA playoffs are fantastic. You're seeing a
lot of teams have difficulty in the first rounds. The
three six matchups, the four or five matchups are all
toss ups right now, which is great, right, But look
at the top of the docket, right Thunder a rolling
up to Zip. I mean, if the Grizzlies score more
(05:35):
than eighty five points, that's a victory for them. Right now,
you have Cleveland up to Zip, very workmanlike victory for them.
Tonight Boston no Jason Tatum and still no real difficulty
with the Magic.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
No.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
Granted, now these teams are not good, right, These teams
are not good, But again, seeing how good these are
the best three teams in the NBA by far. Right,
this tier one to Tier two thing in the NBA playoffs,
the guff is even wider than it was. But for
the playoffs began. It's up here are the are the
the the Cavaliers, and the Celtics and the Thunder, And.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Then go all the way down and then you're at
Lakers and Nicks. Like you go to that.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Everybody right second, but the Clippers here, you can put
the Nuggets. There's a lot. It's like the difference between
the Mets and the next best team in Major League
Baseball was like, wow, so far, but like all this
in gout happening games. Yeah, because we're off the Friday,
let's go.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
We swept the Phillies. You even you would beat on
the fanatics birthday?
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Yeah, yeahs old, Hey, happy birthday.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Take the l at to see.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
Here's a broom for you.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
We just sent, by the way.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
That's a sweet cap they had though, with the fanatic
on there, y fanatic, that's great, the big l take
the l take the el fanet and Tommy kicked his ass.
I think Tommy was really actually mad. I don't think
that was a bit.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
No, I don't think.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
But look in the end, really we talked, like I said,
we talked this a month and a half ago, just
to be to be honest about the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
Is anything going to stop us.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
From a thunder Celtics or Cavaliers NBA Finals? I don't
think anything is and and the big drama is going
to be okay, well cave Celtics. All right, let's see
let's see if the Cavaliers are really ready, if the
Celtics are healthy, Let's see, that's gonna be the knockdown,
drag out battle. Right, But is anything gonna stop us
from one of those teams and the thunder? Right, Like,
(07:31):
this is all great, this is all great.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Window.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
It's like when Kevin Bacon says in a few good men, Oh, Daniel,
Caffy's gonna be entertained. It's gonna cut through some officers
for you. It's gonna be entertaining. But in the end,
Santiago is dead and Dawson and Downey did it. This
is gonna be a great playoffs and Luca's gonna have
big games, Lebron will play great, and the Nicks will
be in trouble and they'll be singing Detroit Basketball in
the halls of Fox Sports Radio just.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
To piss me off. I'll be all the entertaining.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
But at the end of the day, it's gonna be
the thunder and either of the Celtics are the Cavaliers,
and that's not gonna change.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
Don't you take of talking Nicks with Brianna in the
back as Kelvin was walking around, which meant the Detroit basketball.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Walking around going Detroit basketball, and I said, I'll plant
drugs in your car.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
I gotta step it up now.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Well, I mean it used to be key the car
because people are stealing my key the car line. Now, yeah,
I've heard about local radio people I'll key your car lines.
Now is I'm gonna plant drugs in your car?
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Why don't you bring I'll steal your mailbox back up
to but this this? Yeah? Well but that goes to
federal federal drugs does too? Well yeah, no, the drugs
goes right to that drugs right, you got it like
I got. I gotta amp it up a little bit now,
I gotta have the federal crime. Oh yeah, yeah yeah.
But if I do plant the mailbox well wait, wait
what Well but if.
Speaker 3 (08:42):
You get them on a mailbox theft charge, then they're
facing federal.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Okay, I see what you see where you're going that
It's cost you a whole other problems at rikers.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
Dude, they got the Mets on every channel in New
York right now? Are you kidding what they do?
Speaker 2 (09:00):
They smuggled in a transistor radio y to listen to
the Mets. Are they playing the Mets game on?
Speaker 6 (09:06):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (09:06):
We're playing.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
Yeah, hey the Yankees. Hey, we're only going to show
you Aaron Judges at bats. Then we're going to play
the Mets and then we'll go back.
Speaker 4 (09:13):
We'll do it.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
We'll cut in for Judge. It's a really big deal.
We'll cut in for Judge. But it's not a terrible strategy.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
No, But yeah, to your point about the playoffs, they
always have the specter of the injury and chaos. The
Tatum injury, which it looks a little stranger in hindsight, remember,
because you had the Missoula thing of not allowing the
trainers or anything. He's fine, Yeah, he's good. It's enough
(09:39):
to where he's got to miss a game.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
Now now they win.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
The game was not as an easy a win. The
Magic have a good starting five. But you know with
the Celtics, even with Pritchard as your sixth man, you
know of the newly minted sixth man of the year. Yeah,
I mean they made a training card that said it.
Now it's got to be true.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
But all that to say, they don't have a lot
of depth on that venge.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
Yeah, we're like Jalen Brown's knee starts having an issue,
or I mean Porzingis is no, no, but iron Man right.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
But now let's get to this because this hasn't been right.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
If it's gonna be a boring player, at least we
had Bloody Porzingis right to take us through, which kind
of sounds like an A twenty four movie, Like one
of those movies, like A twenty four we're buying this
and was made like in Poland or Hungary or something
made it overseas, like oh hey, Bloody Poorsing the Lofty
and Dirk Bloody Poorsing, Bloody Poorsing Revenge. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
(10:33):
this great Jenna Ortego would be in it one hundred percent.
Uh like you know, you get all the people. Oh yeah,
Kian Paulkin. Maybe I'm just putting it together because you know,
of a big pain. Uh, but but it would be
one of it's one of the movies. Hey, we're buying it,
we're releasing it domestically, and boy, you're gonna love bloody.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
Jennifer Gray get a role in this one. Then I mean,
if we're gonna go a real pain, let's break everybody in. Yeah, okay,
I would go the guy that was trure guy. He
he gets he gets oft in the first ten minutes.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Bloody poor Zingis. You thought it was over when he
was traded to the Mavericks. Turns out that was just
the beginning. Poor Zingis then went to purgatory. Oh, we
trust his soul in New York, we have a trade
to announce Christops Porzingis has been traded to the Washington Wizards.
Then he got angry and got back to relevancy in
(11:28):
a trade no one noticed when he went back to
the Celtics, and then suddenly he was winning the NBA
Finals all by himself years later.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
It's really all Dante's inferno that's told the eyes of
the plan.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
Bloody poor Zingis narrated by Phil.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
Jackson, random whistling.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
Zis gets up, gets a big elbow, has to leave
the game. Blood gush And I'm saying, blood gushy. You
think have to know blood gushing from the of his forehead.
And he walks off the court with his hands in
the air and he's ratcheting up all the crowded.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
I'm like, this is what it means to have a
really good team in the NBA.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
This is the And he comes back out with the
big It looks like he has a like I get
like they took a whole roll of gauze paper, like
he took the big and put a right smack dam
in the mill of his for it. You can still
see some of the blood that haven't cleaned it all
off yet, Like I expect him to come back out
like yeah, he draws it under his eyes like like
eye black, Yeah, look like Alice Cooper. No more, mister
nut or paint, like he's a wrestler. He comes out
(12:31):
and he still goes for twenty and ten for the
Celtics tonight. Bloody Poorzingis.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
You don't like him when he's angry.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
He's he's the Latvian Dirk.
Speaker 4 (12:42):
I dig that.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
No, it really is a Hollywood script.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
That was the guy you wanted, the toughness and the
willingness to battle back when he was a nick took.
He got calloussed through all of these moves, losing bits
of his soul. Hell, it's like Voldemort, like horse cruxes
across the NBA landscape. Now he's come to collect.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Directed by Ariy Asher, who brought us Hereditary in that
horrible movie you only want to see once and never
again called Midsommer.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Hey, Hey, Hey, it's a classic. It's a jerk.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
It's a great movie, but you can't unsee it and
you never want to watch it again. Cheaty, Bloody poor Zinga.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Yeah, you know, don't ruin it. Maybe Cheaty survives. In
an alternate cut, he shows up as part of Bloody.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
Ports No, just his footsticking like Forzingis, goes in for
a dunk and he trips over Chety's foot and that's
how he gets hurt.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Now that is a multiverse. I can get behind right there. Exit,
I'm out of Fresco. Exit Swallen Dome.
Speaker 3 (13:44):
Jason Smith Micrman Live from the tire rack dot Com Studios.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
We'll have more NBA on the way.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Houston leads Golden State twenty two fifteen late in the
first quarter minute. Is anything stopping us from an NBA finals?
That seems like it was preordained a couple of months ago.
But t'sraight ahead. It is a big NFL draft preview night.
We got bold predictions, we have analysis. Keep it right here.

all of these predictions the last few months. Really quick
before you get in. We're keeping an eye on this
right now. Jimmy Butler left the Warriors game against the
Rockets a few moments ago. He walked off the court
under his own power. Looked like he went to the
locker room again very early. We'll see what's happening there
there at the end of the first quarter. It is
(16:53):
the Rockets in charge of this game so far. But
joining us now on the hotline a man who's been waiting,
a man who I thought of earlier this week. Yeah,
me too, longtime NFL Insider, thirty third team Pro Football
Hall of Very Good voter. It is Jason Cole, And
(17:14):
I thought about your earl week, Jay Cole, because Monday
night was our big iHeartRadio night at California Adventure. So
we all go and the Toy Story Ride, which is
a big shoot him up ride and they play this song.
And when they play this song, I'm just thinking of
you next to me trying to shoot things, going Oh,
I'm like the Jets, look at this, I'm shooting things.
I'm missing everything. I was thinking of you while they
(17:35):
were playing this song while I was on the ride.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Well, I'm glad I created a memory for you. I'm
a moment. I'm a moment in your life. Now.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
I got to ask you because I did this, you
got to help me out with something here because I'm
trying to figure out what to do. So tomorrow night
NFL Draft, NFL Draft Live Show is here, Joe Douglass
is going to be here.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
I'm going to see him, interact with him. Like what
do I say to him?
Speaker 4 (18:02):
Like?
Speaker 2 (18:02):
Real, what do I say to Joe Douglas?
Speaker 1 (18:04):
Tomorrow?
Speaker 2 (18:10):
Is nice to meet you? Really, that's all you're gonna
give me. That's all you got.
Speaker 4 (18:14):
I'm I'm thinking, you know, like, don't because because here
what's happened. This is what's going to happen. If you
say something, Yeah, if.
Speaker 6 (18:27):
You if you let the slightest little.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
You know, snarky remark out, it will just flow. It
will be a lifetime of Jeff's nightmares and maniac just
spilling out. And some of that is Joe Douglas's fault, Okay,
it does. It is some of that attempt. But you're
going to give him everything. You're going to give him.
(18:55):
You're going to give him the rich Code tight years.
You're gonna blame him for stuff what You're blame him
for stuff that he might not have even been you know,
an adult for right, Like there are just things that
are just going to come out of you, Like you
might blame him for Blair Thomas, I don't know, you know,
Like it just will get really ugly. And I'm not
(19:18):
saying that it's not completely fair, but you're going to
regret it afterwards. You're really going to feel bad. It's
not going to be a Catharsis. It's not going to
be what you think it will be. It will be
a moment where you go, I just went too far.
I just I just I really I'm sad because of
(19:43):
what I did to myself, Like I lowered myself. And
you're going to have to then apologize to Joe Douglas
after the stream of consciousness is over and you have
screamed about your karmasi and and again not his faults,
you know, some of the others up his fault. I mean,
you're gonna blame him for who's that guy from Ohio
(20:03):
State that Tantabamb took that Like I looked at Tantabam
and go like I didn't even like to play. Yeah, Vernon,
you're gonna you're gonna be, You're gonna you're gonna go
right like it's all it's all just going to just
be unleashed. So that's why I say, just say, hey,
how you going all right? And just and resist this
(20:27):
is I'm doing. I'm trying to do this because otherwise
you're gonna feel bad when.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
It's over all right, So what if I'm getting what
I'm getting for you is what I should do is
is show him like a pie chart of blame for
the Jets franchise and show him just where his sliver
is here.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
It's kind of like it's kind of like an eighth slipper.
Speaker 4 (20:47):
The sliver is gonna bleed, it's gonna be it's gonna
be like a slasher movie. It's not it's not really
a sliver. It's a slice. It's a slice. It's not
a very big slice, but it's a slice like you
took a machete and you slide through the you know,
the sugar cane with the machete, and then you just
keep hacking and hacking away, and you know, and then
(21:09):
all of a sudden, he's gonna be left with bloodied
and you're going to have blood splattered on you. It's
not going to be pretty. It's just kind of bad.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
It's only appropriate that Smith's wearing a Machete Kills T
shirt as he's sitting in the studio with a picture
staring at me.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
As you make the machete line.
Speaker 6 (21:28):
All right, so go wear that tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (21:35):
Don't don't wear that?
Speaker 2 (21:36):
There you go, all right? Where are we finding chaos
early in this draft? Tomorrow?
Speaker 4 (21:40):
J Cole wherever Sor goes, because that's going to be
the chaos.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
So his own under went from eight and a half
to twenty one down to the Steelers.
Speaker 4 (21:51):
Oh yeah, I mean I'm looking at you're looking at
like this is Aaron Rodgers all over again. I mean
it might even be like I don't think he's gonna
make the second round. He's too good to make the
second round. I don't see that, but he.
Speaker 6 (22:10):
If the Giants don't suddenly like you know, change their.
Speaker 4 (22:13):
Mind and go ahead and do it, Yeah, I could
see him just total free fall that mode, and Dion's
gonna like go off the private retires jersey again. Yeah,
how do you retire a jersey after two years? Like
(22:36):
he win a national championship, like like what did you do?
Speaker 1 (22:41):
It's easy because it's embarrassing for Dion if somebody else
gets his jersey retired before his sun does.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
So it's inmbastad all we got to do you too?
Speaker 1 (22:49):
Oh okay, Well, Travis Hunter is like a college football
stud for life, like he's part of the ingree with
the fabric, with the Heisman Trophy, the two way play.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Yeah, my son's gain is retired to is? It kind
of be embarrassing if he didn't.
Speaker 6 (23:01):
Neither one of them.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
I mean, I can make the argument for a child
in front, but it's like you're not, like.
Speaker 6 (23:09):
You're not up there.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
You're not even Cordell Stewart pal like who gave you
know who played his entire career there like and did
some pretty impressive things like I'm I'm sorry, Like those
guys were only there they're mercenaries. They're truly and I
don't I don't have a problem with guys being mercenaries
in today's college world. In fact, I love the chaos.
(23:31):
I just absolutely adore the chaos that you know of.
The quarterback from Tennessee is at UCLA and I can't
pronounce the last saying whatever that happens to be. And
I don't even really care to pronounce his last name
because I don't think he's actually were going to be
in the NFL. But you know what I'm like, I
love all of that. I love that chaos. I love
the anger that it causes angst, and I love that
(23:54):
Charlie Baker from the NCAA gets smaller and smaller and
smaller by the day. I just just it's delicious, It's
just absolutely great. But those two dudes are just mercenaries.
Neither one of them deserves to have his jersey attire
Travis Urnt. Maybe, okay, maybe because of the Heisman Trophy,
(24:17):
but I don't even buy that. It was like two
years you're you were there, you were barely there for
a couple of the parties, and let's not even talk
about your girlfriend. But let's know, like here, you were
barely there for a couple of megagagers.
Speaker 1 (24:33):
El insider Jason Cole with us The Jason Smith Show
with Mike Carbon live from the tirec dot Com Studios.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
All right, I'm gonna stay.
Speaker 6 (24:39):
I just took a machete to the Colorado program.
Speaker 4 (24:42):
You did? You did? You were?
Speaker 1 (24:43):
You were? Jason Voorhe's going right through finding finding young
teenagers having sex and smoking pot, and you just decided
to end all of them.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
I'm going to end all of you.
Speaker 4 (24:52):
You know you're done? All right?
Speaker 1 (24:55):
Okay, I think we're gonna get chaos earlier because it's
gonna be around where Ashton Genty goes. And I said
that My big bull prediction last night was the Cowboys
trade up to get and they move up to four
or five to get ash Genty because that's a typical
Jerry Jones thing to do.
Speaker 4 (25:11):
Oh absolutely, because he's probably looking at that going up
Zeep too, probably with less problems. But yeah, I would
say that that's that's a Cowboys move because you can
sell that and you can probably get what is Ashton
Genty worth about three years of Is that a three
(25:32):
years worth of a move?
Speaker 1 (25:34):
Ooh?
Speaker 2 (25:34):
For Jerry, Oh, well, the world goes faster now, but
maybe I'll know you can trade up here for a decade.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
He can run now, that is true. Yeah, yeah, he
cond run the clock out. He still is running out
on dak Shore. Okay, okay, three years. I'll give you
three years on that.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
Three years three years of marketing. Gentys good as we
think he is.
Speaker 6 (25:53):
Maybe you get to five and then you get the
killer part of you get to have the contract.
Speaker 4 (25:58):
Extension talk with gent In like four years right where
you know, you do the whole nail bier thing and
you wait until the last minute before the deadline and
sign them to the new contract and.
Speaker 6 (26:11):
You parade that around.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
So really, the move up for genty is perfect for
them from a purely marketing standpoint. It has nothing to
do with it whether they're be any good, but yeah,
it's marketing. That's marketing one on one for Jerry right there.
And they'll probably get you know, an eleven win season
in the next two years maybe three with gent there
(26:35):
if they get that kind of excitement again, the marketing,
just the opportunity just go on and on and on.
Did we talk about Super Bowls or no, we didn't
get so much.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
No, we can't quite get to that point.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
Hey, what do you make of Kirk Cousins showing up
for work and making everybody uncomfortable?
Speaker 4 (26:57):
Well, I think that people are uncomfortable, you know, Yeah,
you're You're get uncomfortable if he gets hurt, right, So
you can't you don't want to put him on the field.
So you've got problem there, And this is they're forcing
the he's forcing their hand to get the done sooner
than later, right because they don't want to pay all
the money on this contract. But that's fine, but it's
(27:20):
not uncomfortable from a who's going to play standpoint. So
because the players know what's up. The players know that,
you know, panics at the quarterback. Cousins think the quarterback.
So I don't think it affects the coaching staff. I
don't think it affects the locker room. I think that
the only people that affects are the owner and the
(27:41):
GM and the head coach to a certain extent, because
you've got you've got to make a decision on how
fast are you're going to deal with this. But it's
not an on field thing, if that makes sense, Like
it's just it's just the money thing. So the only
people who get worried about it are the people who
really worry about the money, and the players don't worry
about the money. In fact that probably most of the
(28:03):
players are probably looking at Kurt going, yeah, man, yeah,
you know, stick it to the man, do it, do
what you gotta do. You know they understand either side
of it.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
He's on Twitter at Jason Cole sixty two. His new
nickname is the Machete on Twitter at Jason Cole sixty two.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
Story takes a dark turn.
Speaker 4 (28:26):
Could I could?
Speaker 8 (28:27):
I got it?
Speaker 6 (28:28):
I gotta work on that accent.
Speaker 4 (28:29):
That's okay, Yeah I could.
Speaker 6 (28:31):
Can I do that?
Speaker 4 (28:32):
Yeah? I could probably do.
Speaker 6 (28:33):
What's that actor who does Machete?
Speaker 2 (28:36):
Danny trey Hill, Yeah, Danny Treyo.
Speaker 6 (28:39):
He's got Danny Treo's tacos and yeah and that he does.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
That he does and had a coffee place and he
and he was El Tortugo in Breaking Bad.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
Sure too.
Speaker 2 (28:47):
Yeah, they put his head on a turtle.
Speaker 4 (28:51):
Is a bad man. He's a great story. We got
to do the show sometimes I will come to l A.
Speaker 6 (28:56):
We should do it from his restaurant.
Speaker 4 (28:57):
All right, I'm out.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
You know, he wants Tacos now Sandwich you want tacos.
Speaker 1 (29:06):

Speaker 2 (29:55):
Well, we got more.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
NFL coming up in a few months, but right now,
time to find out what's trending in the wide world sports.
From someone who walked in tonight and said, Jason, do
you know the Mets have the best record in baseball?
I said, Manzi Belogos, I did know that. She said,
I'm gonna lead with that in the update.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
I said, you go, yes, the Mets have won seven
in a row.
Speaker 9 (30:13):
They're the best human baseball right now. But we're gonna
actually start There's so much going on.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
You started with that, started, I started off Mets talk.
Speaker 9 (30:23):
Yes, well, let's let's head to the NFL for just
a second. So Warren Sharp tweeted about twenty minutes ago
that apparently Giants GM Joe Sheen's son posted a Jackson
Dart highlight reel on his Instagram and then set his
account to private.
Speaker 5 (30:41):
Went, okay, do what you want with that.
Speaker 1 (30:45):
That would be that would be like, hey, we didn't
learn from moving up to take Daniel Jones at number four,
Let's do that.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
Let's take Jackson Darted three.
Speaker 3 (30:53):
Hey, the kids simulated their season with Dart under center
like the results.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
And you had Abdual Carter today talk about he Yeah,
I'm gonna be a giant. Yeah, I'm excited. Now I'm
going to be excited. I'll leave Philly behind. I'll leave
Philly behind. I'm a giant all the way now. It's like,
so he's like, I'm I'm going, let's go.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
I agree, So do what you want with that.
Speaker 9 (31:13):
Other NFL news that the Lions and All Pro safety
Kirby Joseph have agreed to a four year, eighty six
million dollar extension, making him the highest paid safety in
NFL history. Sad news in the NFL Hall of Fame,
Chicago Bear defensive tackle Steve McMichael passed away today after
years long battle with als. He was sixty seven. We'll
move into the NBA Warriors Rockets Game two. Rockets are
(31:33):
up forty to twenty five halfway through the second quarter.
Jimmy Butler out for the rest of this game with
the pelvic contusion. He took a hard fall, so it's
official he is out. Won't be returning. Steph Curry is
two of four for five points so far in this game. Again,
it's game two and the Warrior's lead at one zero.
The Celtics did top the Magic one hundred to one
oh nine. Celtics in a good way. They're annoying no
(31:54):
matter what the Magic did. They made a way to
come and just stay on the stay on top of them.
Boston leads the series to zero. No Jason Tatum so
Jaln Brown thirty six points and ten rebounds.
Speaker 2 (32:05):
And yes, Christops porzingis blood all over.
Speaker 9 (32:07):
Didn't even clean them up when he came out with
that band aid across his head, that big X, like
xbox marks the spot.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
Yes, but he had like blood in his air.
Speaker 4 (32:17):
Oh yeah, it's like we.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Can't clean him up.
Speaker 1 (32:19):
Yeah, I think there aren't rules say hey, you gotta
get all the blood out if you can.
Speaker 9 (32:22):
Absolutely, there was so much blood still on were taking
the shower holiday.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
I don't know what it looked like.
Speaker 9 (32:27):
They didn't even try except putting an X on his
forehead with that band aid. The Cavaliers defeated the Heat
one twenty one to one to twelve. They actually hit
eleven threes in the second quarter, forty three points.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
They win it.
Speaker 9 (32:37):
They now lead the series to zero. Donovan Mitchell thirty points,
six rebounds, and six assists. In Major League Baseball, some
games going on. Aside from the Mets winning seven in
a row and sweeping the Phillies, who have lost four
in a row, the Pirates are up on the Angels
one zero, top of the fifth inning, the Rays and
the Diamondbacks are tied it to a piece. Bottom of
the fourth inning, Brewers and Giants scoreless. Bottom of the
fourth and the A's are shutting out the Rangers for zero.
(33:00):
Bottom of the second inning about to start. The Cubs
defeated the Dodgers at home, seven to six. Whatever, yeah, whatever.
The NHL playoffs are also underway. The Avalanche are up
on the Stars one zero after the first period. Also,
Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog returned to the lineup for the
first time in one thousand and thirty two.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
Days after multiple knee surgeries.
Speaker 9 (33:22):
Oilers and Kings la up one zero late in the
first period, and the Capitals did defeat the Canadians three
to one, So Washington now leads that series to zero.
Speaker 1 (33:31):
Back to you guys, thank you very much, Montie. Coming
up next, we'll have the latest on this injury. Jimmy
Butler ruled out for the game. Was it a dirty play?
Speaker 2 (33:40):
Keep it right here.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
We had NBA stuff flying, We got big NFL rumors,
guests who just unfollowed his team on Instagram, and Joe
Shane's kid trying to out brick Brick Johnson.

christops Porzingis, you get to be the play of the day.
Yester Richard holding his ground and Borzingis takes a shot
(36:40):
from Bataz.
Speaker 5 (36:42):
Bataz got found Oh on that rebound of Tampa.
Speaker 1 (36:45):
You saw him elbowl Porsinis.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
There it is TNT on the call.
Speaker 1 (36:50):
Porzingis gets bloody and blood is gushing from his forehead.
He riles up the crowd and comes by, I see
your wheelchair, Paul Pierce. I'm just gonna bleed all over
every thing. He comes back and plays double double twenty
and ten. The Celtics win with no problem without Jason Tatum.
How good can Jason Tatum really be? He stakes he's overrated?
Speaker 2 (37:11):
Eight seven seven they win again?
Speaker 4 (37:14):
What are you?
Speaker 2 (37:15):
What are you doing trying to just pule other shows? Oh,
I'm just I mean, come on, Jason Tatum's overrated.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
Man, that'll be that'll be a poll question or something
to morow that you did. But unlike Paul Pierce, I mean,
this was a legitimate issue for president.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
But I'm gonna tell you Jason Tatum is overrated and
that'll be part of my debate with JD VNTZ in
three and a half years.
Speaker 3 (37:37):
Oh. If you can get hot sports takes into the
political debates, of course it will be eh.
Speaker 4 (37:43):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (37:43):
First question for you, mister Vice president, what do you
think of the Knicks rotation as they get ready for
the playoffs?
Speaker 4 (37:50):
Sorry?
Speaker 2 (37:50):
What seconds?
Speaker 3 (37:52):
No, they throw him the curveball and they give him
a football question. We have sixty seconds and he's like, wait,
they didn't give me a script for this one.
Speaker 4 (38:00):
Ah. So yeah.
Speaker 2 (38:01):
More on Bloody porzingis coming up.
Speaker 1 (38:03):
Bloody porzingis new horror film from a twenty four director
Ari Atcher. But we may have just seen a play
that could flip a good portion of the NBA Playoffs.
Jimmy Butler ruled out for the remainder of Game two
for the Warriors. He had a hard fall after this
play that is being debated on how dirty it really was.
(38:26):
Take a listens in Game one, ol Man, come on, Manny.
Speaker 2 (38:31):
Butler is undercut and that fall hurts. And you know
what I mean, Thompson got tripped.
Speaker 4 (38:36):
He obviously didn't do that on purpose, but that is
I'm not scary and dangerous, and Jimmy.
Speaker 6 (38:42):
Butler landed right on that tailbone.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
So Butler, who was an iron man in Game one
with forty two minutes played.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
Warriors TV on the call right there, and look if
you watch the replay, no it's I know the Warriors
got saying you watch the replay.
Speaker 2 (39:02):
They're going in for.
Speaker 1 (39:03):
The rebound and Draymond Green tries to keep Aman Thompson
from getting to the basketball.
Speaker 2 (39:09):
Right it's it's under it's under the basket.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
It's about it's about seven or eight feet from under
the basket, and the ball's bouncing and Draymond can't get there.
He puts his right arm out to stop Thompson from
from getting through, but Thompson tries to fight through because
he wants to get to the basket.
Speaker 3 (39:23):
He's got another Houston teammate who's planted as well, so
he's trying to split.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
Yeah, he's trying to split to get to the basketball.
And because of this, I'm not saying it's Draymond, but
this is a play where it's bang bang. Draymond has
his arm out, he tries to get through, he trips,
puts his hands out. He runs into Jimmy Butler, who
had flown in to leap up for the rebound. Butler
lands on his tailbone. Tough for Jimmy. Look, I've had
that happen to me before. It is absolutely no fun.
Speaker 2 (39:46):
It looks like hit it was.
Speaker 1 (39:49):
It looks bad. It's scary, but he was able to
walk off under his own power. He's ruled out for
this game. I'm assuming a bruised tailbone. Hopefully it's not
a fractured tailbone. It was again that happened to me.
Freshman year of high school, we all decided to go sledding,
and for some reason at the at the golf course
where there was all big you know, hills and stuff.
So we go like late at night and get onto
the golf course, you know where that we can get
(40:10):
in where the fence is, and we go under and
I decided to go down sitting down for some ridiculously
stupid reason. And I go down and I hit a
hill and I jump and.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
I land and I go boom, and I go oh,
and I just fall off the side of the of
the sled and I go, that's it. I'm done. I'm
going home. I'm done. I couldn't even see. I couldn't
even sit down. In school, I was taking I was,
I was.
Speaker 1 (40:32):
I was on a knee taking notes throughout the first
the first two days of the week because I.
Speaker 2 (40:37):
Couldn't do it. It was I don't know how I
did that?
Speaker 6 (40:39):
How was that?
Speaker 2 (40:40):
How was I on one knee for like eight hours?
How did I do that? But I did, but it
was absolutely terrible. I couldn't sit. Did you break in coxsacks?
I may have, I may have.
Speaker 1 (40:49):
I may still have a broken cocksack, So I don't know.
I might, I might may wouldn't make sense. I mean,
I went and I had an X ray and everything,
and and but after a couple of days, finally I
was able to sit. Not fun, man, not fun. And
but at least, you know, Jimmy Butler walking off under
his own power. Hopefully he's okay come back for game three.
Speaker 3 (41:04):
Oh, we did get the word Coxis into the show
as well, since I said that, I knew Justin would
jump in with that.
Speaker 2 (41:11):
You know, you know, mister mister vocabulary, you had no idea.
Sure I did. Really Yeah, It's just like Jimmy Butler
didn't expect to hit for me and then Thompson, and
it's not expecting that survive this.
Speaker 4 (41:25):
It might.
Speaker 1 (41:26):
I think it might.
Speaker 2 (41:27):
I think it might. Boy, there's another segue I can make,
But then it would just be I would know.
Speaker 3 (41:32):
There were a lot of one liners that we just
had to leave off to the signe. I mean, I
want to keep my job, Frostburg.
Speaker 1 (41:37):
I could have had another one, but it would just
be I would just be blatantly said, just to say
the words, I'm not gonna yeah.
Speaker 3 (41:41):
But even as you told your story, I'm like, oh,
I could do this, not gonna do that. No, No,
we're just gonna let go, not gonna do it. But
now you've got Houston with a thirteen point lead. Spin Spencer,
former Northwestern product, trying to step up and fill some
of the offensive void, but two fifty three remaining in
the half and a thirteen point lead for the Rockets
at home.
Speaker 2 (42:01):
So we'll have more NBA on the way.
Speaker 1 (42:03):
But coming up next, boy do we have a couple

Speaker 2 (44:08):
Are the Nicks in more trouble? Than the Lakers.
Speaker 3 (44:10):
The Lakers in more trouble than the Knicks. Joining us
now on the hotline. Nobody better then.
Speaker 1 (44:15):
Fox Sports One Inside or Extraordinary Checkout is on the
Ball podcast every week as well. It's Rick Buker, who
has a very early call tomorrow because he's announcing the
Bengals pick in the second round of the NFL Draft.
Speaker 2 (44:28):
Rick, welcome to the show.
Speaker 8 (44:31):
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Yes, No, I'm not.
I actually could apply for that, you know what, I
have a feeling that I could do as well as
my my Dartmouth Conrad comrade Mike Brown, So have it.
Speaker 1 (44:47):
No, don't tell yourself you could do a help a
lot better than Mike Brown.
Speaker 6 (44:51):
Gone man, fair enough.
Speaker 8 (44:54):
I know it's not like I know it's not like me,
but you know, I was trying. I wanted to see
what it felt like.
Speaker 4 (45:01):
Rick.
Speaker 1 (45:01):
If I put your career up against Mike Brown's career,
that's like saying, Okay, I'm gonna put Michael Jordan's career
up against Kelly the Animal Bannister, and you're Michael Jordan.
Speaker 8 (45:12):
I would trade my career for his bank account in
a heart feat.
Speaker 1 (45:15):
Let me put it all right, all right, that's okay,
all right, but you also like going on social media.
I don't think Mike Brown likes going on social media.
Speaker 8 (45:23):
I don't think Mike Brown. I think Mike Brown still
uses a typewriter.
Speaker 1 (45:26):
So all right, So look, let's get to what we
saw tonight first, and the injury to Jimmy Butler. Hopefully
he is okay, he's ruled out for the game.
Speaker 2 (45:37):
Didn't look dirty.
Speaker 1 (45:38):
And look, honestly, Draymond Green tried to keep Thompson from
getting to the ball. He looks like he tripped, kind
of go through. Everybody puts his hands out.
Speaker 4 (45:45):
I know that.
Speaker 1 (45:46):
Of course, we go crazy on social media for everything,
but it was just it looked like it was obviously
an unfortunate play.
Speaker 2 (45:52):
But that's kind of what it was.
Speaker 8 (45:53):
Yeah, I mean, I think we've had a number of those.
You know, Look, we've become hyper sensitive, and one of
the big problems is that we now see everything in
slow motion fifty times, and we see it at six
different angles, and when you slow it down that much,
everything is going to look egregious or malicious, and more
(46:16):
so than it does in real time. The reality is
we're playing in the toughest part of the season, and
guys are extending themselves to make plays, and as a result,
you're gonna have collisions and you're going to have You're
gonna have stuff like this happen. You can't have it
both ways. You can't ask these guys to play hard
(46:37):
and then micro analyze every contact point that they have
and suggest that there's malicious intent. So I think we
do far too much of that. I think the referees,
quite honestly, do far too much of that. We had
Julius Randall of the other night finishing a layup and
(47:00):
his hand comes down and it's uh and that ends
up being being a foul. And to me, it's a
lot of this is just guys making plays and and
you can't control your body one thousand percent of the
time when you're going as fast and hard as they are.
Speaker 3 (47:16):
Well, I do like then you get the slow motion
of the wink and the nod. Hey I got that
call right, so you have on that.
Speaker 8 (47:22):
I always love that, and I think, you know, I
keep thinking like, you guys are the free throw line
and they got like I thought Jimmy the other day
he had the smirk, or you get the wink in
the nod And I'm thinking, you guys, do know that,
you know, the commissioner and the league and everybody.
Speaker 4 (47:37):
They're all watching this.
Speaker 8 (47:39):
So you think you're going to get another call, you know,
don't be surprised if you don't.
Speaker 2 (47:45):
Well, they'll just add another award for Best Actor like
they do for everything else. Rick.
Speaker 3 (47:50):
So so let's go to Lakertown while we're at it
here in Los Angeles and inspired early effort against the
Wolves yesterday, but down the stretch, boy.
Speaker 2 (48:01):
Really gripping and having to ride that one and ride
the lightning down the stretch. What did you see two games?
Speaker 8 (48:07):
Yeah, I mean I think if you if you take
the two teams at two games in totality, the Minnesota Timberwolves,
Timberwolves have been overall the better team, which I don't
know that we were saying that going into the series.
And to your point, like as badly as they played,
and I think they played as badly as in Game
two as the Lakers played in Game one, the Timberwolves
(48:31):
had an opportunity to still kind of steal that game.
It was a nine, and I think Aunt Edwards came
down and took a three and missed it. And then
there was another another transition where they should have gotten
something out of it, and Aunt lost the ball in
at mid court with a steal with by Lebron, And
you know, I just I was. After the Minnesota Timberwolves
(48:55):
showed us what they were capable of in game one,
my thought was, Okay, are they going to be mature
enough to play it to maintain this through game two?
Or are they going to be a little fat and
happy and get a little sloppy And and you see
this even with veteran teams, like they suddenly they play
fast and they have a certain tempo and rhythm and
(49:16):
they win a game, and then especially on the road,
and then the next game they go, okay, let's make
like we're playing with house money. Now, let's be careful.
Let's let's not put any big bets out there. Let's
not let's And I'm like, you weren't careful in game
one and that's why you want what are we doing here?
But that's the way they played it, and and the
Lakers took advantage.
Speaker 6 (49:35):
But I.
Speaker 8 (49:37):
You know, I had the Lakers winning the series and
then watched Game one and I was like, wow, I
don't I don't know that they have the depths in
athleticism to be able to win this series. And and
so my feeling is that the Timberwolves are going to
take it. I don't know how long it's going to take,
(49:58):
but it's a little bit of what we on Game two,
which is the Lakers. If there was a twenty minute game,
then you'd want them to win. But I don't know
that they can sustain it over forty eight minutes because
they just they have nothing coming from their bench, and
you're asking Austin Reeves and Lebron James to play hard
at both ends of the floor and the scorers for
(50:19):
forty eight minutes. I just I don't know that they
have enough or that those two in particular have enough
left in the tank to meet that task.
Speaker 1 (50:28):
Rick Bueger with US, Jason Smith Mike Harmon live from
the tirec dot Com studio. All right, so what you're
telling me is, then the Lakers need to get an inspiration.
One of their players, either Luca or Lebron, needs to
get a big cut in the middle of their forehead
like porzingis, walk off, wave to the crowd, come back out,
double double, and maybe that gets the Lakers.
Speaker 8 (50:45):
Enough yeah, or you know, maybe the wheelchair act by
Paul Pierce that worked well at one point in the
finals to get everybody going. So, yeah, something extraordinary, that's
it's going to turn the tide. But yeah, short of that,
I just don't know if there's enough.
Speaker 1 (51:06):
Now here's the thing, and this is something we've talked about.
We taught at this beginning of the show, and you know, look,
the NBA Playoffs are exciting, and they're a thrill a
minute and it's an unbelievable reality show for a month
and a half. But really, after watching what we saw
so far, seeing Oklahoma City, just like with a surgeon's
precision through Memphis, if you look like they should be
on the floor with them. Boston wins going away tonight
(51:28):
without Jason Tatum. The Cavaliers are having no difficulty. Is
anything gonna stop us from the thunder versus either the
Calves or the Celtics or the NBA Championship.
Speaker 2 (51:38):
I think at the end that's what it's going to be.
And I don't know what can stop that.
Speaker 8 (51:42):
Well, the Calves are doing a pretty good job too,
so I can't.
Speaker 1 (51:46):
I mean, it's going to be the thunder against the
Calves or Thunder and the Celtics like, that's that's gonna
be the matchup, But I don't know anything else is
gonna stop it.
Speaker 8 (51:52):
Yeah, well, here's my one caveat. And I do think
the Thunder are justifying or maybe reminding us. You know what,
we did have the best record in the league. We
did win sixty eight games. This is my one concern
about them is that so many of that it's almost
been an embarrassment of riches. They were so good that
(52:14):
they only played five games during the regular season that
were decided by three points or less, and they were
one in four in those games. And I can't help
but feel like they're going to They're going to have
to win those type of games somewhere along the line,
probably not in this series. Most likely not in this series,
(52:36):
but they get Denver or the Clippers in the next round,
and I'm thinking that some of those games are going
to come down to last minute execution. And it's not
that the' th Under aren't capable of that, but they
just haven't had a whole lot of practice at it,
whereas every other team. If you look at the top
(52:57):
teams in the league, they've all played a dozen and
are more games that were tooth and nail during the
regular season and they had winning records in them. So
that's my only concern. But I do think that they're legit,
and so I have them going. I have them going.
(53:18):
But if they don't, it's I would say it's going
to be because they just haven't had enough experience in
very close games and grinding those out.
Speaker 3 (53:29):
If this Tatum injury becomes something bigger, Rick, are they
deep enough to make a huge run?
Speaker 2 (53:36):
Who's that these Celtics?
Speaker 3 (53:37):
I mean, you got Bloody porzingis so maybe inspired into greatness. Yeah,
but giving his history, Jalen Brown's knee, I mean, I
know Pritchard wins this award, Noll, but there's not a
lot of other scoring coming off the bench for depth purposes.
Speaker 7 (53:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (53:54):
No, if there's any team that can suffer like, I
don't think they can lose all three be sure.
Speaker 2 (54:00):
Obviously, Yeah, that would be tough.
Speaker 1 (54:04):
Although they won.
Speaker 8 (54:05):
The funny thing is they won the other day. I
think with those three shooting like one for twelve from
three point right, So who knows? But I don't, like,
I don't know the severity of Tatum's injury. I feel
as if if this was the Finals that he would
have played that this is precautionary. You know, the cut
on the forehead with with perzingis, you know, I think
(54:29):
that's certainly something that he can play with. Jalen's knee
seemed to look okay tonight, So yeah, I look, I
think that attrition is a part of this, and it's
another reason why to believe in Boston, Cleveland and OKAC
because not only did they have the best records during
the regular season, but they have the most depth. And
(54:50):
I like, you know, the Warriors example tonight, like Jimmy
Butler goes out with the pelvis contusion and they're they're
different team. There's most of the teams in the running
can't sustain an injury to anybody that's in their starting lineup,
(55:11):
and you see that with Denver. I don't know what
Michael Porter's injury is. There's something wrong with him injury report,
but I would say that, Okay, see, Cleveland and Boston
can all afford to lose one, you know, one one
player out of the rotation and they can still be
(55:32):
close to what we've seen them be. But anybody else
and I think that that puts them behind the eight ball.
Speaker 2 (55:38):
I mean, look at the Warriors they have been forced
to play Jonathan Kaminga today.
Speaker 8 (55:43):
Yeah, look at that, and and and and it's so
good to see Jonathan, uh demonstrating to them immediately why
they haven't been playing yet.
Speaker 2 (55:52):
You got to put somebody in. Can't put Rick Barry in?
Speaker 8 (55:55):
I mean Pat Spencer comes in and is more effective
than Jonathan comminga like, uh, tak, what do you want right?
Other than other than forty million a year?
Speaker 1 (56:04):
What do you want?
Speaker 6 (56:05):
All right?
Speaker 1 (56:06):
Lastly, Rick, don't sugarcoate it for me. First round series
zooms tomorrow, Nix and the Pistons. How much trouble are
the Nixon on a scale of one to ten. If
one is no trouble, they got this series, don't worry,
or ten meaning Jason getting ready for a first round
exit and Tim's getting fired and Bridges getting traded.
Speaker 2 (56:25):
One to tell how much trouble are the Nixon.
Speaker 8 (56:28):
You're You're in, Jonathan coming to trouble.
Speaker 7 (56:34):
You're in it.
Speaker 8 (56:36):
You're the look on the look on your face should
be equivalent to if somebody said, you, Steve Kerr, you've
got to play Jonathan Keninga, forty minutes for the rest
of the for the rest of the playoffs, whatever looks
Steve Kerr would have on his face, that's the look
that you should assume when it comes to the nixten.
Speaker 2 (56:57):
It's gonna be that tough.
Speaker 1 (56:58):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (56:58):
Yeah, Smith's size just like he's on hot Hot ones, sir.
And at the end of the challenge, as you said that, Rick, well,
he's he's on Twitter, at Rick Buker, that is at
Rick Buker. H Rick, what do you got on the
Ball podcast this week besides the Knick's funeral?
Speaker 4 (57:15):
Apparently, dude, I have no idea.
Speaker 8 (57:18):
I've been doing two shows a day and I'm trying
to finish a book like the podcast may be on
hold for three or four days.
Speaker 2 (57:25):
Oh okay, all right, you gotta wait to see when
the next win. Then you'll get that's the last chapter the.
Speaker 8 (57:32):
You know what, you know what? We meant to call
Matt Bucher and see if he can get something out.
Speaker 1 (57:35):
For Oh good, it's been a while since we checked
in on Matt Buker. Yeah, okay, wait whatever insight. Hey, yeah,
we'll get We'll get.
Speaker 2 (57:40):
Matt peper on Yeah. On the Ball Squared Podcast.
Speaker 8 (57:43):
Yeah, we're gonna get his thoughts on on Karl Anthony Pounds.
Speaker 6 (57:47):
How about that.
Speaker 2 (57:50):
I'm holding that to you for next week, buddy, You
got it. Take it easy, Rick, Thanks Rag appreciate it.
