Speaker 3 (00:36):
My bas friend Mike Harmon.
Speaker 4 (00:39):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
For over forty years, tire Rack's been helping customers find
the right tires or how, what and where they drive.
Shipped fast and free, backed by free Road, has protection
with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation. Tirerac dot
com is the way tire buying should be. Well, I'm
actually get glad we uh we use this open not
(01:00):
because the Mets won again and best record in baseball,
but oh, it's it's it's my fault that the the
the front runner for cy Young code. I Seanga got
hurt today. It's it's completely my fault and I knew better.
It's completely my fault. It's a terrible effort going to
cover first base. It's completely my fault.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
You have no idea how quickly he's coming back.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Until well after the All Star break. He's a late
lowest d r A in Major League Baseball. Now we're
not going to see him elect.
Speaker 5 (01:28):
Now, he's not gonna win any awards. It says he
won't have played in sixty five games. Oh wait, that's
the NBA's idiocy.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
Here's why it's my fault. Why is my fault? It
is your fault. It is because I'm enjoying my two.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Screen experience today of being on the computer and watching
the Mets on on MLB Network. Great, right, So I'm
reading stuff. I'm look watching the game. It's awesome, Mets
are winning. It's for nothing, six inning, it's.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
A part manifesto, all those things.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Yeah, And so I'm doing stuff, doing stuff for the show,
all kinds of different things. And I read and there's
an art on, oh, what are the Met's gonna do
now when their other pictures get healthy? Because coming on
their way back, Sean and Iah and frankl Montas are.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
On the way back.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
And I'm like, I really want people to stop writing
about this. I want people to stop writing about this,
because what do you mean, what are they gonna do
when everybody gets healthy?
Speaker 3 (02:16):
You are just tempting fate? Right, And I see this
all the time.
Speaker 5 (02:19):
But I still think I saw that in Final Destination
about weeks ago.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
Am I really never gonna see the Jets win the
Super Bowl? I'm not gonna step on that floor.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
And uh, and so what I'm watching, I'm so I'm
reading because it gives an update on how Manea did
sure in his last you know what's next.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
For him with his rehab start.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Probably a couple more starts to him, but Frankie Montas
maybe one more. And he's on his way back and going,
I really shouldn't read this because this.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
Is all the New York. All they want to say is, Oh,
what are they gonna do? What are they gonna do?
What are they gonna do? What do they do when
all their healthy pictures come back?
Speaker 4 (02:50):
Right?
Speaker 1 (02:50):
And I start reading the article. And I'm reading the
article ground ball to first, bates Alonzo Wapple to throw
it at first, it's high.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
Oh, and Sanga comes down. He's hurt, always grabbing in
his hamstring.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
It's my fault because I was really I knew I
shouldn't read it, because I actually thought to myself, stop
putting this stuff out. What are you gonna do when
everybody gets healthy? Hey, you know what, let's just why
are you even talking about that?
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Why are we doing? Now? Okay, now you're happy.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
You put it out there in the team in baseball,
best team in baseball. You look at this, Look at
this guy. Look at how brilliant he is. That's what happens.
You do that, you put all that.
Speaker 5 (03:28):
Positivity, and indeed you're dancing down the street.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
What happens?
Speaker 5 (03:33):
Bad things, man, bad things bleeping down?
Speaker 3 (03:38):
I know, I know. Let him throw out the.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
First's birthday the one year anniversary of Grimace throwing out
the first pitch for the Mets, right and relevant birthday. Yeah,
and they and they didn't have him throw the first
pitch out today, But that had Tiffany Stratton how much?
But you could have Tiffany Stratton throw Grimace has his
own seat at the bleep and ballpark. Man, how do
you not have grim He's already there in spirit on
(04:01):
his birthday, on his birthday, on the anniversary.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
Hot, why do you not have Grimace? How do you
don't have Grimace thro tifty time?
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Dude?
Speaker 3 (04:08):
You can come on, it's it's w W E t A.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
We had dominic mysterio in the six one nine the
other night when the Padres played the Dodgers.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Now we get Tiffy de Harmon's all the way back
to WrestleMania. Tiffy Time could throw out the first pitch
tomorrow we play at home tomorrow, we could throw the
first Grimace on his birthday? No, Grimace on his birthday today?
Grimace on his birthday today? Why can't every day? In
the anniversary birthday? How do you not have him back?
Speaker 4 (04:31):
Like?
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Really? Like why would your fate that way?
Speaker 4 (04:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (04:34):
You know, is his fault that that Sega got hurt?
You want are you trying to pass the bucks?
Speaker 1 (04:39):
It's my fault that Senga got hurt. I heard the
next reach out to him, but he declined.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
To see. That's why he wasn't there. He was meeting
with Dolan.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Grimm Is running on the court, clapping after and tenal
next run gives them an eleven point lead.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Grimmas is just class.
Speaker 5 (04:56):
Does he get a second check for being the mascot
as well as the head coach.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
He's the head coach and very entertaining during the media timeouts.
It is Grimace not great at the coming back from
break interviews that we have with the coaches, but it's
still entertaining to see Grimace.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
The chair he must have to sit on is huge. Well,
I mean he could really market those.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
Eventually get the Eventually they'll get to Grimmace. Eventually they
will get to Grimace. The Knicks will get there. Maybe
to McDonald's say no, no permission to have permission to
talk to Grimace.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Well, you have to go for a lesser character.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
You could talk to the Hamburglar or Mayor mccheese, but
you can't talk to Grimace.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Yeah, they haven't brought mccheese back. So he's kind of
in moth Balls.
Speaker 5 (05:34):
He's like the guy working in the office downstairs, like
Milton in Space.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
He might be eminent domain, might get one of those
crazy horror films where Mayor mccheese is the killer, Like how.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Far he goes into public domain McDonald.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
From McDonald's where the McDonald's characters are serial killers and
you're trying to make out, you know, the Hamburglar.
Speaker 5 (05:53):
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say those
films are already out there in some fashion.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
Oh, I think you could find them, right.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
I haven't searched you. I mean you can blow your
computer up. I mean, I mean there's people got to
be there.
Speaker 5 (06:05):
We've had Winnie the Pooh, We've had Mickey Mouse, We've had.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
So many filmmakers kind of eminent. Domain begins wait for
I don't know it could happen, but I mean, really
you what you watch a McDonald's you know, and of
course the cop would be the burger king, well he
would be the cop trying to catch them.
Speaker 5 (06:21):
But if you got back into those seventies ads, they
were like many horror films, if you really go back,
they had Witch, they had had.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
A lot of stuff going on there. Man oh yeah, yeah,
yeah no, but but I mean.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
They were almost different way the uh hr puffin stuff
dudes like Sid Sid craft care. Sorry, Paton Pending, because
this is really a movie idea, all the different ways
they could kill people in a movie. You know, clearly
Ronald McDonald's is pulling all the strings, but you know
that all the other henchmen go out there and oh yeah.
Speaker 5 (06:49):
And then it ends with a guy sitting there just
twiddling his thumb. It's like you didn't really act because
give it forty years Claude Dartery's I got them all.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
How come you can't catch a McDonald killers?
Speaker 1 (07:03):
Because my plan is contingent on the Mocha machine working,
and that in the shake machine never.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
Working, we can't catch them.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
My plan just needs the shake machine to be working.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Once, just one time.
Speaker 5 (07:17):
I was gonna say, you can say statute of limitations
because the first ingestion of something that would lead to
an artery problem, but it would be an ongoing part
of a criminal conspiracy, so you'd never actually expired those
statute of limitations.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Just I mean, really, Grimace, I'm here for you, man,
I'm here. I don't know how you don't have that.
I don't get it.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
How many times did you watch Tiffany Stratt? Couple of times? Yeah,
couple of times. Yeah, sure, but I would have wanted
greatest first pitch.
Speaker 5 (07:45):
But it doesn't matter. You noticed every bit of wardrobe.
It's like, wait, I think, let me watch it again.
Yeah she's wearing the belt.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Yeah no, that's great, But I still I could have
I could have gone with Grimace today, like grimmace would
be the day they still won. Well we did we
really wait, we won, but we los Senga. But you're
getting all those pictures back. That's what the article said. Yeah,
I know, right, I'm just dumb anything with the Dodgers.
Speaker 5 (08:07):
Like I knew, all right, Snell's coming back and Toddi's
coming back, and I knew to pitch two or three
times when it until it gets too hot and the
sweat gets in his eyes and then he has to
beg out and all of those things.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
So yeah, it's it's chaos. He's fragile. Uh fragile, Yes, absolutely.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
Well that's the I work, honestly, just series for a second.
I worry about him being able to It's over the
Riggers of a major League baseball season at this point
because he's in his early thirties.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
This is now the second missing time.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
Who knows how much luck he made one start last
year before the playoffs like that, I wonder like, is
he just guy that can't stay healthy?
Speaker 3 (08:41):
That's gonna be happens.
Speaker 5 (08:42):
Like when you take an outfielder and you say, you
know what, you're only a DH you know what, don't
get off the mountain.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
We'll give up the basic. Meanwhile, what is happening right now?
Speaker 1 (08:52):
And what has been the most entertaining Stanley Cup Final
in years? Because we had close games with over times,
we had thousands of fights on a game three.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
We had little girls becoming correspondence for fighting. I want
to see the fighting. I love the fighting. Yes, just no,
I understand. No, I like the fighting.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
Panthers took a three to nothing lead in the first
period over the Edmonton Oilers. And this is where you
hear people say, you know, the three nothing lead is
the most dangerous lead to play with in NHL. This
is because head of the second period it is now
three to three.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
Yeah, it is.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
The Oilers put three on the board in the second period.
Nugent Hopkins on a power play gets things going. And
now so this series three to three going to the
third period, just like the NBA finals, Right, great series, incredible,
incredible games.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
It's fun.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Oh but the markets again, like KD, you don't like it,
don't watch right, you're still seeing the finals of both
of these sports played an incredibly high level. And this,
I mean, this is the most entertaining Stanley Cup Final
in years because you had the first two games go
to overtime, right, you had a double overtime game, you
got a thriller, and then all theights and again it
doesn't matter. So blog, you see all those fights like that,
(10:02):
and this now a three goal lead. They blow a
three goal lead, three to three going to the third period.
This is as entertaining as it gets.
Speaker 5 (10:08):
I gotta say, I love to see the Oilers get
back up off the mat, not just to fight again,
but to have some fight in them in terms of
this hockey matchup, because we go back to Game one
and how things ended, and it became the are they
going to be the Knicks?
Speaker 3 (10:23):
Are they people?
Speaker 5 (10:27):
But are they going to have one of those games?
Like was that game going to be the backbreaker?
Speaker 4 (10:31):
Right?
Speaker 5 (10:32):
Just the way they lost that it would carry through
for the rest of the series. And and they've been
listless save the you know, fighting, up until this second period.
And then all of a sudden, the power play goals
and opportunities knock and and they take care of business.
The goalie got absolutely uh bamboozled on that tying goal,
(10:52):
went for the flip and glove outstretched, and well he
misjudged it and in the back of the dappens with
a couple of minutes left in the second, so we
get twenty minutes of contentious hockey.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
And what's the over on dround fights? What do you
think two and a half? Oh no, no, no, no,
come on three three No fights? No no, no, no, no,
no no, but no, no you fight in the third period,
you could cost your team the Stanley Cup. No, no, no,
fight will be fighting, no fight, No, I disagree, he's
too fight. There will be a fight if it gets
if one, if the game gets out of hand and
somebody gets up, there will be a fight. But three
(11:26):
to three in the third period, nobody is fighting, nobody's
nobody's going to be that I don't want to say
that stupid, but no one's going to.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
Lose their emotion. No one's gonna lose their emotions.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
And when it's three to three, right, you know, because
you really you could cost your team the Stanley because
you give up the other you wind up getting the penalty,
you wind up getting an instigator whatever it is, and
then the other team scores on a power play and
you're and twenty years when they're going back and go,
remember when so and so had that penalty for fighting
in the thread, but nobody watched it, so did it
really happen? I no fans of the teams and hockey
(11:57):
fans what they'll still have it. You're not just gonna
get me.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
You didn't even go with the joke.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
You're not just gonna well, well, because we didn't talk.
Weren't talking about the ratings like we said, we have
the KD philosophy. You don't like it, don't watch, It's
all works.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
That was the joke. You don't like it, No watch,
nobody was watching. You don't like it?

(15:47):
when you'll pull off the rarest feet in golf?
Speaker 3 (15:50):
What hold?
Speaker 4 (15:51):
What?
Speaker 3 (15:51):
No rarer than holes in one? Yes, you get to
be the play of the day. This just happened.
Speaker 6 (16:00):
At the fourth Patrick Reid at his second from two
hundred and eighty six yards away.
Speaker 7 (16:13):
Un little, he doesn't even know that he dumped it now, yeah,
oh too, Patrick USA.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
On the call.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
Patrick Reid, only the fourth double eagle since the US
Open started keeping track over forty years ago. Hits a
three wood on the par five fourth hol at Oakmont,
two hundred and eighty six yards out. Didn't know it
went didn't know went in. He had to look at
the crowd and make the motion like did it go in?
They told him yes, the albatross, the rarest shot in golf,
(16:52):
the albatross, the double eagle. Well that gets to be
of course, that's the play of the day. He threw
his arms up, had the confused look. Finally the cheering
begins like, all right, here we go. Now I get
the fist pump.
Speaker 5 (17:06):
Uh yeah, So three strokes under par on the single hole,
also known as a double eagle. All that to say,
he still shot a seventy three and his three strokes
over par.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
Connection with teak.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
The double eagle, like the is there any connection there?
Speaker 3 (17:24):
There should be.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
Some sort of endorsement deal, like, hey, like double eagles,
join me at the double eagle steakhouse. Eat this cooked
albatross that we are able to flow.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
Whoa, whoa, whoa. What about the name of the steakhouse.
I think it's like a it's Frisco's Double Eagle Steak.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Out something in the steak world. I don't know what
it is, Okay. See, I just went to like, well,
you want to do name the place that?
Speaker 3 (17:45):
Yeah, it's a name on Santa Monica Boulevard.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
We're gonna cook albatrosses. We're gonna make him him the albatross, Oh,
the rarest bird to eat.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (17:54):
I think you get arrested for that double eagle. I
mean we've just been spending how many hours? Hey, and
here are the eglets. They're getting ready to leave the nests.
There they are, big bear, let's check it out.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Albatrosses are highly efficient in the air, using dynamic soaring
and slope soaring to cover great distances with little exertion.
They feed on squid, fish and krill, either by scavenging surface,
surface seizing, or diving their colonial They nests for the
most part of remote oceanic islands. I just knew this
off the top of my head. It did not just
I just knew that I had that.
Speaker 5 (18:27):
Not saying a few bars of cool change by the
Little Riverband see albatross and.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
Well they are bro growing up.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
Now, help me out with this, because growing up I
always thought like an albatross was like a.
Speaker 3 (18:41):
Hindrance, right, Like what am I mixing up with it?
Because I remember growing up.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
My whole life like, oh, that's an albatross, man, Like
that's an anchor. That's how it's been you right, Like,
that's an albatross. But yet in golf it's the greatest thing.
It's Oh, it's majestic bird of the rarest shot. You
could get up to a great round. Hey, you hit
one great shot and then you hit you know, sixty
five bad ones.
Speaker 3 (19:06):
Let's go. You're not going about yoursting, right.
Speaker 5 (19:08):
So it goes from Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poem the Rhyme
of the Ancient Mariner.
Speaker 3 (19:14):
So it's the iron magical burden.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
That's the first time I heard that was Iron Maiden
rhymean off of a power Slave album.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
There You Go, nineteen eighty four.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
So Mistaine, every time he cries about someone stealing a
rift from him, and you rip that off psychological burden,
off of a source of guilt or shame.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
That feels like a curse.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
Yeah it does, so it doesn't make sense, like are
you saying like the albatross, Hey, it's actually a golf
curse and Patrick Reid makes the shot.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
Well, he got cursed the rest of the day. I
think in the poem he kills the albatross that it's
stuck around his spoiler, spoiler. Why do you gotta talk about.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
Who's things that are dying and kills in MN minute
usually go to people who are dead. No, I would
tell you about a bird that got killed in a poem.
We tell you about this how the around his neck.
It was a reminder like he's a super villain and
a cone in the Barbarian movie.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
Then he turned into a snake. Oh you have to
watch out. Raphaela is wearing the albatross around his neck.
He is a killer. He kills the bird. Misfortune for
the crew. Here you go, there's a curse.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
Gabriel is the avenging angel that wears the dead albatross
around his neck.
Speaker 5 (20:22):
I bet you have film adaptation of this. This would
be better than that damn nose Feratu movie. I watched
the Extended Car.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
I thought that was I heard that was good, though terrible,
really and I love Dafoe.
Speaker 3 (20:33):
I love the cast. I wait, Bell Bivdavo did the
music cot.
Speaker 5 (20:37):
I couldn't get that done fast girl is Now that
guy's tampire. Now that guy's gonna do a version of
a Christmas Carol with 'tafoe exactly.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
Okay, all right, so the guy who wrote Laughs of
the Mohicans is in this movie.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
Okay, great, all right, you heard the guy in the place.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
My brain is working overtime tonight, Bell Bivdavot, Daniel Dafoe,
I'm good man.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
Well, I mean we had to know the.
Speaker 5 (21:02):
What commemoration of one of Belle Bibdevo's other great songs.
Speaker 3 (21:05):
Oh yeah we did. Yeah, you celebrated the uh the
anniversary of that one.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
The time was six o'clock on the Swatch watch No
time to chill, Got a date?
Speaker 3 (21:14):
Can't be laid?
Speaker 1 (21:15):
Hey, the Mets are gonna win again. Uh No, I
don't think that's in the song. That is that's my
new lyrics, that's the approved version. That's the Albatross version
of that song. That's what that is, right, I always.
Speaker 3 (21:26):
Done well, but it is in the in the poem.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
But it's good, but it's good and gold and golf
it's great.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
Usually stuff is good or it's bad. It's not. Well,
it's good here, but it's bad.
Speaker 4 (21:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (21:37):
This this is again supposed to be really great. It
did not work for Patrick Green in terms of his round.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
No, no, it didn't did not jump start him.
Speaker 1 (21:43):
Patrick, you had one incredible shot and like these sixty
nine bad ones. How do you feel about that? Like,
you know for a seventy three, uh now, it would
have been a seventy six, would I didn't make that.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
That's you just walk away and go I'm done. I
made an albatro. I'm done.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
I'm absolutely not answering any questions. I'm walking away. Whatever
else happened doesn't matter. I didn't cheat to do it, Okay.
Speaker 5 (22:08):
I made the Fox Sports radio play at the day.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
You leave me a lot and cheat. I didn't move
my ball and didn't touch that on.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
Wasn't supposed to get off my back about that albatross.
Albatross is a difficult course. So in Pittsburgh, one NBA
star needs to stop.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
Talking, okay.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
And and you know last night the Pacers win Game
three and look eighty one percent of the time when
you go up to one in the NBA Finals, you
win the series and great things. We talked about how
motivated the Pacers are. Look the two big reasons that
they don't get credit for why the Pacers are up
to one and why we make the run through this playoffs? Says, Look,
they have a lot of guys that play with chips
(22:46):
on their shoulder because they were overlooked at some point
in their career. Whether you are Halliburton who feeds off
of being labeled as overrated. Right, you have Obi Toppen,
who couldn't get on the floor with the Knicks. Right,
you have you have whether it's Nie Smith or or Nembard.
You have TJ McConnell who's been overrated his entire or
overvalued or sorry, who's been undervalued his entire career. Right,
(23:08):
you have Matheren who wants to start right. Really, why
I'm really coming up on the end of his rookie contract.
I can only score twenty seven points in forur minutes
so many times I really want You have a lot
of guys on this Pacers team who have been overlooked,
and they play that great and the hunger they have
on the court, you see how they want to win.
They are always better conditioned the final few minutes. SGA
(23:28):
talked about it today. I was a little dinged up
at the little tired at the end of the game.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
Beat him up.
Speaker 1 (23:32):
That's what happened to Brunston at the end of games, right,
the Stars get tired, and the Pacers, because of their rotation,
they're just ready to go. They're always hungry. But then
Halliburton said this last night when he's asked about the
people in the media talking about the NBA Finals breaking
it down, and he had a very pointed message for
people who have not been on the Indiana Pacers bandwagon
(23:55):
from the beginning.
Speaker 8 (23:56):
The commentary is always going to be what it is.
You know, most of the time to talk heads on
the major platforms, I couldn't care less, honestly, Like, what
do they really know about basketball?
Speaker 4 (24:06):
Uh?
Speaker 8 (24:06):
The commentary is what it is. At this point, you know,
it doesn't matter. You know, we're here in the NBA Finals,
two wins away from an NBA championship, So.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
You just gotta stay with it.
Speaker 8 (24:15):
Put my head down and keep working, and as a group,
we just gotta keep learning from our mistakes, see where
we can get better and take it a.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
Day at a time.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
This is where I just want him to stop talking.
For two reasons. Number One, Okay, no one is saying
you don't belong. No one is saying the pay They're
simply picking the teams that are better. Right, you had
an under you had you had an underwhelming regular season.
Of course, people are gonna pick the Cass the best
record in the Eastern Conference. Of course, people are gonna
pick the Knicks. They're gonna talk about the Knicks a lot,
the Knicks and New York. They're they're they're powerful, they're
(24:43):
they're popular. Of course, when you get to the finals,
people are gonna pick the Thunder because the Thunder were
the best team over all the regular seasons. No one's
saying that that that that you don't belong there. They're
simply picking the other team to win. Okay, So this
whole narrative that that he has. But oh, they know
what they're talking about, Yeah, right, picked the better teams.
Picking the better teams to win does have anything to
do with it.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
I okay.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
But the second thing is this, Okay, I want to
say this dude, And look, I don't care what you say.
I don't care what you think about what we say
loof JJ Reddick can't stand me. We know this, I
don't care. Yeah, but he's not alone. Here's my issue
with this. Halliburton and the Pacers thrive on being told
you're not you're not good enough, we don't think you
can win this series.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
They thrive on it. They thrive on this.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
Halliburton thrives on being undervalued and being overrated. The thirteen
people that said he was over it. He has thrived
on this. And I see his performance over the course
of the playoffs when he is motivated, he plays great.
But you can't sit here and thrive on that and
then come out and say, oh, you know what you're
talking about. No, he can't have it both ways, right,
Either you don't like it and it's something or but
(25:49):
you can't. But you can't sit here and say, oh,
I don't like it. Meanwhile, it fuels you. You would
have no fuel. You might not be in the NBA
finals if you didn't have people picking against you. You've
already picked you in the first round against the Bucks.
Who knows are you there? Because I don't know if
you're motivated enough to play. If you weren't voted most
overrated player, in the NBA by those handful of players.
I don't know that you're this good. Maybe you just
disappear in the playoffs. But clearly I know you use
(26:11):
this as motivation, and that's great. But don't sit here
and say, now, oh, you guys are dumb to know
what you're talking about. You need this as fuel. Right,
This is the person who was really really hungry. Someone
brings them food, They eat it and then say, ah,
this was terrible. This is the worst meal I ever had,
but you ate it. Now you feel good. Yeah, but
I didn't like it at all, but you ate it.
(26:33):
You could have not eaten it, you could have asked
for something else.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
But you still ate it. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
But like he wants to have both sides of it
and say, yeah, I want to just wear this as
a badge, but I also really want to say I
don't need it even though I really need.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
It, like picoling pick aling.
Speaker 5 (26:45):
Well, but that's the thing and saying you all don't
know what you're talking about. It's that fuel to some
degree of what what keeps him a flame? Right, we
had his dad was banned, and then his dad comes back.
So he's got that motivation. So we can look up
and say, hey, Dad, did you see I scored?
Speaker 4 (27:02):
Hi?
Speaker 3 (27:02):
Dad.
Speaker 5 (27:03):
Look, you're not getting a Van Pelt apology or any
of that nonsense from us.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
I mean, that's just not gonna happen. The math bore
it out.
Speaker 5 (27:11):
This wasn't just punditory of you know, throwing darts or
I take this side, so you have to take the
other side. No, it was algorithms with lots of variables
to say, you know what, this is a better team.
They're just as deep. They run away and hide guess
what they haven't. And we talked about that a lot
with the thunder coming into the playoffs, the lack of
(27:34):
close games, the fact that you have this average margin
of victory, would that come back to bite them on
occasion in the playoffs? And yes it is, and that
the Pacers on the other side, we've talked about it
since round one, going back to Milwaukee, talking about this squad,
their depth and their resiliency, and that has shown up
time and again. And for Tyreus Haliburton, I think by
(27:56):
just you know, he gets his opportunity to call everybody
an idiot, you don't know basketball and all that, which
he'll fuel to say, look, I've made all the stupid
people look really dumb for picking against me. It's a
long play.
Speaker 3 (28:11):
I get it, I I I understand. I have to
like it.
Speaker 1 (28:14):
No, but but no, but it's not but it's not
it's not being consistent. You don't have any logic you
because you're saying, hey, we use this as motivation. Right, Okay, great,
but now don't insult me that you say, Oh, you
don't know you guys, nobody knows what you're talking about. Okay,
first of all, no one is saying you don't belong.
No one's saying you're terrible. It's just the other team
gets picked. Well, they're gonna pick one of two teams. Well, folks,
(28:34):
that it's how goes that didn't predict them to get
swept off. Okay, so.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
Right, is great. So listen, listen to the.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
Noise, use it but clearly works. Use it, but don't
sit here and try to insult us. Oh nobody knows.
They'll tell you, guys, need to be quiet. No one knows.
We don't listen. No, dude, you needed this because honestly,
I'm serious. If he's not voted overrated, I don't know
that the Pacers have this run because I've seen we've
seen so many games where he is has been a
guy and it's why is Tyre's Halliburt not more involved?
(29:03):
You see the talent he has. I don't know that
they're this far. They probably get knocked out against the Knicks.
But no, we're using we're using this motivation for you
should thank everybody. He should be out there saying, you
know what, this is a business, a better thing. Hey,
you know what, all the stuff that's being said, all
you people out there, thank you, thank you for being
a thank you for doubting us, thank you for thinking
we can't win, because we use this and this helps us.
(29:25):
And now we're two wins from the NBA Championship. Thank
you very much instead of insulting us, saying thank you
because this was a gift that was given to him
and the PA because they play, they play, and they
used that. They used that chip on their shoulder better
than any team I've seen in the NBA the last
few years.
Speaker 5 (29:40):
One of the greatest WWF heels of all time was
ravishing Rick Rude.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
How did he start every speech? Thank you for coming out.
Speaker 5 (29:47):
Now this is for all the ladies, you fat, stupid
slow witted, lazy people. You walking as I you know,
take off my robe. Right, it was the insulting, but
you got in to it because man, that guy's a jerk.
And Tyrese Haliburton to some degree, is doing that because
he wants the He wants the people with the poison
(30:08):
pen to have to begrudgingly write those columns when they
hoist Larry O'Brian.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Tommy man, just it's it's embarrassing. Just just stop, just
go play. Just go play at this point. Worry about
worry about all that crazy stuff after. But no, I
want to make sure. But he uses his motivation. Yeah,
but I'm still Oh, you're right, it doesn't make any sense.
That's what I was hoping he would get to stand
up and just say, hey, yeah, thank you for all
the fuel, thank you for all the hate, thank you
(30:36):
for that.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
Well, he holds up a picture of SVP that I apologize.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
Time now to find out what's trending in the wide
world of sports. So someone who's been called the Tyrese
Haliburton the Fox Sports Radio because they both own t
shirts that say overrated, overrate that overrate that oh that
when you brought that because he.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
Was wearing the overrated one.
Speaker 9 (30:57):
Correct Sinson says overrated one?
Speaker 3 (31:00):
Did you buy that one?
Speaker 2 (31:01):
I did?
Speaker 10 (31:01):
And I paid eight dollars for shipping because I.
Speaker 9 (31:04):
Don't want to buy anything else. Guys, everything else. It would
have caused me more to buy something I didn't want
to buy.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
You paid eight dollars for ship that when you could
have bought something else for thirty dollars and gotten free ship.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
Correct, that's a hard The math is matho, that's horrible lodgic.
Speaker 2 (31:16):
No, it's not.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
I completely would have done the other way.
Speaker 5 (31:18):
Another twenty two dollars you need to spend his shirt
she'll want because that's twenty two dollars on another shirt.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
I didn't order dollars. But if you could hurt that
they couldn't find anything else, trust me, not going to
buy a shirt you couldn't find anything else.
Speaker 9 (31:35):
I looked at like running shorts and they were like
sixty dollars.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
I was like, no, thank you, but.
Speaker 1 (31:39):
They were only thirty eight dollars if you get it
without doing the shipping thing.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
No, it was Sony saving money.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
The mathe mathis, this is why I'd be a great
CEO of retail company. You save money by spending more?
How was that the math where I trusted the math.
Speaker 9 (31:53):
For the mathe math in here the math is math
and on the ice though, as the Edmonton Oilers scored
three goals in the second pier of the Stanley Cup
Final Game four between the Panthers to tie the game.
So all Florida in the first period, all Edmonton in
the second period, and we are tied at three apiece with.
Speaker 10 (32:10):
About eleven minutes to go in the third period. Edmonton
has twenty four shots on goal while Florida has thirty
two shots on goal, and Florida does lead this series
two to one. In baseball, one game still going on
and it's the Astros who are currently edging the White
Sox four to three. It is the top of the
ninth inning in Houston.
Speaker 3 (32:28):
The Yankees were.
Speaker 10 (32:29):
On a rain delay for a while with the Royals,
but they just won on a really weird play, but
they beat them. One zero was a final score. The
Brewers shut out the Cardinals six zero. In the Cubs
edge the Pirates three to two. Pete Crow Armstrong had
a two run homer for the Cubs.
Speaker 3 (32:44):
In this show, say Cubs win? Wait wait, hold that
listen to this.
Speaker 9 (32:48):
So he hit another pitch that was measured eight inches
above the edge of the zone. So there's been seven
home runs hit this season that were five inches outside
of the zone and he's hit two of them.
Speaker 2 (33:01):
So he reaches.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
So when our generations, Glad Garriz, so when I said
we don't need it, you gave me more information on.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
It because that was that not interesting? That was great?
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (33:12):
That shows out special a player he is. How organizations
I really wish they had him.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
That look ours he's pretty final though, you know what's
the big hole we have?
Speaker 3 (33:22):
The center field?
Speaker 9 (33:24):
Okay, but okay, Hey, Mets have won six in a row.
Speaker 10 (33:26):
Is that better?
Speaker 3 (33:27):
Who's got the best record in baseball?
Speaker 10 (33:28):
The Mets four?
Speaker 3 (33:30):
They edged the national score at three.
Speaker 10 (33:32):
The Rangers hit six homers today as they routed the
Twins sixteen to three, and the Rockies they win one,
they avoid a sweep. They beat the Giants eight to seven,
and at the Round one of the US Open, JJ
spawn in the lead four under par Brooks Keepka two
shots back, John rom three shots back, Jordan Speith even
defending champ Bryson de Shambo three over, along with world
(33:53):
number one Scotti, Scheffler, and Rory McElroy four over back
to you guys.
Speaker 3 (33:58):
Thank you, mont appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
Jess Smith, Mike Harmon Live and the Fox Starts Radio
Studios Coming up next. There is proof, without a doubt,
proof without a doubt that I could be running the
New York Knicks with the latest guy who was apparently
at the head of their wish list to become the
Knicks head coach.
Speaker 3 (34:19):
That stop, don't not doc rivers. Not doc rivers. I
especially and even tagged in he just said, hey.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
I need we need special microphones here at work where
when someone tries to say doc rivers, it just shuts
it off.
Speaker 3 (34:33):
Like wait, I tried to try.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
I try to just say I try to just say
doc oh wow, we just invented that. We just invented that.
That's great, and we've had this technology forever. It's every
time you talk about the Knicks, your microphone shuts up.
Coming up next, Uh yeah, proof I could be running
the Knicks because here's who they're at for their head coach.
When I said this the first day, that's the next
(34:58):
Chason of Mike Foxports Radio.

You know what's been fun in this period has been
a lot of I'm gonna try to bait you. So
guys are getting away with the big slap to the
face and hammer. It's like, ah, he didn't skape back in,
but I did lay it a good punch, so he's
gonna be a little dizzy for the There's.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
Been a lot of albatross's in this third albatross uh
so today has.
Speaker 3 (36:08):
Gone by, and.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
Nobody that we know of has officially denied permission to
the Knicks to be interviewed to be their next head coach. Yeah, well,
well it's Grimace's birthday. He's busy today, Grima is busy.
Speaker 3 (36:24):
It's his birthday.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
Well, I mean that's cover. It is a Grimace's birthday.
Gotta give a little bit of time, so we'll figure
that out. But nobody has said, oh, we don't want
to talk to you.
Speaker 3 (36:35):
The name that has.
Speaker 1 (36:36):
Now cropped up, according to a couple reports, And this
tells me that I could be the general manager of
the Knicks. I could tell Leon Rose and Worldwide West
and everybody has that. Listen, guys, this is what you
need to do, because who did I say in the beginning,
the two guys I like when they fired TIBs? Okay,
what do you need to do? Well, you go from TIBs.
You gotta go to a little bit more of a
player's coach. Right if they chafed under him and he
(36:57):
was he was unbending, you need a bit more of
a player's coach. Who's the guy? Said I liked Mike Brown,
Ron was the guy? Because offensive system fits is what
the Knicks want to do defensively, He's gonna make them better.
He has coached big personalities. He has coached a lot
of different situations, almost kind of like a like a
like a Jason Kidd light because you know, kid has
(37:19):
gotten a little bit, you know kids gotten in the
NBA Finals. He's he's been a little bit more successful
at his couple of stops. But both Mike Brown and
Jason Kidd have had pretty similar careers with their success.
Mike Brown's terrific head coach. He's coached in big markets.
He's done at all.
Speaker 3 (37:33):
That's the guy. I go call it, right, I said him?
And Sam Cassell.
Speaker 1 (37:35):
Sam Cassell always has been the next up and coming guy.
Mike Brown and Sam Cassell. Mike Brown, Sam Cassell. What
are reports say today? Hey, guess who could be at
the top of the Knicks list.
Speaker 3 (37:45):
Mike Brown.
Speaker 5 (37:45):
My other guy was up there too, though, like they
had the little inset of Taylor Jenkins.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
Oh yeah, I get them.
Speaker 5 (37:52):
But did you notice did you notice how small that
was relative.
Speaker 3 (37:55):
To everything else going on in this well, this is
out that I can't see that again? Take him out?
Speaker 1 (38:00):
I should you know, James do One should have called
me and said, Jason, what do you think I'm gonna say,
you know what, fifty grand? Pay me fifty grand flat fee,
and I'll tell you who to get.
Speaker 5 (38:09):
Give me an hour, little consulting fee and your magic
eight ball.
Speaker 3 (38:12):
You were ready to go.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
I would say should they reach out to him? Nah,
like you getting because it says ask again later. I
would only say give me an hour because they wanted
to think that I'm doing some kind of crazy stuff
for an hour, and I would just say, give me
thirty seconds. Mike Brown, you're playing pay my basketball. You're
just craping up paper, throwing it in the bin.
Speaker 3 (38:32):
That works out. I can tell you who it is.
Go get Mike Brad right. I told you that night.
Speaker 1 (38:35):
Mike Brown was the guy all this other stuff, calling
around trying to get permission from teams who are gonna say,
blank you, we're not going to help the Knicks at all.
You just have to hope that the coach says, oh, no,
you're calling my team. I want to come coach, because
then it's a different story. But so far, everybody the
Nicks have reached out to, no coaches said yes, I
want that job. Because the Knicks has been biffing this
search by saying we're calling everybody where. Nobody feels special.
(38:58):
They just feel like you're on a list. What are
you gonna get to me? Oh, it's okay, the doctor
will see you in a moment.
Speaker 3 (39:03):
Again.
Speaker 1 (39:04):
At thirty seconds, I would have said, Mike Brown, Mike
Brown is a guy. Here's your backup guy a Sam Cassel.
I know you like Taylor Jenkins and that's fine, but
this he's a guy that's gonna bring you everything.
Speaker 4 (39:14):
No.
Speaker 3 (39:14):
I like that that you went down, Mike Brown.
Speaker 5 (39:17):
My only question for you was still he can't use
a remote control like you would in that hour before
he called do one back to make Brunson or Cat
any better on defense? We can't attach things to their ankles.
And this is when you come.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
In and Cat goes out of town and Giannis or
another big athletic forward comes into. You know, the only
way comes to down. No, no, no, no, it's science.
Speaker 3 (39:43):
No, it's not stop with that science.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
Yeah, I got I gotta get enough that it's science
line from frostbur You're gonna give me a different line
than it's science.
Speaker 3 (39:51):
It's not science. No, no, no, no, no, I could
be I did the math.
Speaker 1 (39:55):
I carried the one I could have made fifty thousand dollars,
and I feel like I'm under selling.
Speaker 3 (40:01):
But then you get proof of concept.
Speaker 5 (40:02):
If they actually hired the succeeds the next time, it's
like two fifty.
Speaker 1 (40:06):
Yeah, oh yeah, sure, well it would be the next thing.
It would be the next team to call going hey, no,
but that's you're getting him great advice.
Speaker 3 (40:11):
Can you help us? Sure, I'll help you. No, exactly.
Now it's one hundred grand with the Knicks.
Speaker 5 (40:15):
I gotta think part of the strategy in calling all
these squads is to try to sow the seeds and malcontentedness.
Speaker 3 (40:21):
Okay, maybe you know this. This creates a ripple of
maybe I'm not really happy where.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
I'm Maybe I do want to move the old Jedi
mind trading.
Speaker 3 (40:31):
That guy thought he was gonna leave. You don't want
to stay here and coach in Minnesota. I don't want
to stay at coach of Minnesota. You'd like to go
to the big city of New York.
Speaker 1 (40:39):
I want to go to the big city of New York.
Big city you can go about your business. I'm going
about my business like that doesn't make sense.
Speaker 3 (40:46):
I'm going to New York Big City Lights, fifty grand
I could have done it.
Speaker 1 (40:51):
Can run the next The comeback is complete. So far,
the Oilers have taken the lead over the Panthers four
to three. Way do we tell you who is actually
at this game? It's gonna blow you away. That's next
right here, Jason and Mike fuck Justin Bieber.
Speaker 2 (41:06):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern seven
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (41:17):
Fox Sports Radio. Gonna slow it down a little bit here.
This one's for all you lovers.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
Jason Smith Mike Harmon live from the Fox Sports Radio studios. Yeah, Oilers,
Oilers and the Panthers tied at four apiece in overtime.
The Panthers tying this game with under twenty seconds left
to go on regulation. Sam Ryan Hart scores from a
near impossible angle. So here we play with eighteen and
(41:45):
a half to go in overtime.
Speaker 3 (41:47):
Would that had been far enough for Mike Breen to
give it a double bang?
Speaker 10 (41:50):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (41:51):
Yeah, well now he's got a double bang everything. Wow,
and Mark tape on that you can use that now
now he clearly has to double bang everything. So now,
yes about triple bang. Uh, we get triple bang. You
save for triple overtime. We save it for Jason Cole
joining us now in the hot line as we take
(42:11):
a look at what is coming up in the NFL.
It is longtime NFL insider. You can read him on
the thirty third team. He is a Hall of Very
Good voter for a long time. He has been a
very good Hall of very Good voter. He's on Twitter
at Jason Cole sixty two. What's happening about? How are
you man?
Speaker 4 (42:31):
Which is being a Hall of Fame voter or six coach? Which?
Which is which is a better job.
Speaker 3 (42:38):
At breaking news? Right now?
Speaker 1 (42:40):
I could tell you people who I know that are
Hall of Fame voters. I can't tell you who the
head coach.
Speaker 4 (42:44):
Of the Nixes could be next.
Speaker 3 (42:48):
Well, let's tell you it's his birthday today. You put
some respect on that name.
Speaker 4 (42:54):
He might turn the job down to Okay, okay, when
you fired, when you fired, somebody generally have to have
an idea, especially when you when you fire somebody who's
actually good. Okay, you should know the next person is
that you're gonna.
Speaker 1 (43:10):
Hire difference, okay, difference in the Cowboys record this year
if Jerry Jones is running the team or if Grimas
was running the team.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
Zero zero, same record, same record.
Speaker 4 (43:25):
Okay, actually, you know what, I take that back. They'd
be better with Grimace, all right, because Grimmas would not
do postgame press conferences in the locker room, have a
good sense to not interfere with the head coach.
Speaker 1 (43:45):
He would just wave, drinking a Grimace shake it, put
his arm around Shot and Himer for some pictures.
Speaker 3 (43:52):
Then he would wave to the kids, and you would
see him on Tuesday, kind.
Speaker 4 (43:56):
Not on his head one way or the other. Yeah,
I'll be good, I'll be good, you know. Yeah here, hey, Brian,
go for it.
Speaker 5 (44:07):
Well, Dak says he's super excited to play for Shottenheimer.
Speaker 3 (44:10):
Yeah that was great. That was actually the chiron and
the and the quote.
Speaker 4 (44:13):
Yeah, but the question is is he playing for him
or just be playing with him.
Speaker 3 (44:20):
However long he's here. I enjoyed playing for.
Speaker 4 (44:23):
Him because, yeah, that is playing quarterback and he's playing coach.
He's not really coach, he's just playing coach. Let's let's face.
Speaker 1 (44:34):
Do you see a scenario for the Cowboys to have
success this year. Do you see any any way they
can they can find some sort of hey wow, this
went completely opposite of how we thought.
Speaker 3 (44:44):
It was going to.
Speaker 4 (44:45):
They have good players. I mean they do have good
players two years ago. There a couple of years ago. McCarthy.
They're a pretty good team. I mean like they could
win ten eleven games. Yeah, that could happen. They could
even make the playoffs. They have enough talent. Are they
really gonna win anything? No, it is not going to happen.
(45:07):
It's just like you've got you've got you know, how
do Dody coaching them? You've got you know, you've got
the evil character at wide receiver in George Pickens, who
there's no way Shottenheimer can ever handle him. There's not
like if Mike Tomlins said, no, I can't do this
(45:30):
with George Pickens, what do you think the show? What
shot does Brian Schottenheimer have? Really Like, let's let's really
think about this one. And yes, Pickens has lots of
motivation to be good this year. He's got a contract year.
He's got to play nice, he's got to do all
those other things. He's just too emotionally, he's too emotionally
(45:53):
corrosive to be helpful in that for that team, they're
just they're just done with them. And like again the Steelers,
they knew all of these things about George Dickens and
they still traded him. So he's going to let them
down somewhere in some critical moment. But they've still got
ceedee lamb. You know, they've still got you know, Dak,
(46:13):
and they've still got the semblance of an offensive line.
You know, it's taking a step backwards, but it's they
have a semblance of an offensive line. And it's got
some guys on defense who are really good. You know,
start with if you start with Michael Parsons, you can
do a lot of things.
Speaker 3 (46:28):
One of those and maybe Hamburglar too.
Speaker 4 (46:32):
Grevis was in the owner's box sitting next to Steven
and Jerry Junior. Could did you see that? Like if
they were panting to them during the game and Grimace
was sitting there instead of Jerry, wouldn't just so much happen.
Speaker 1 (46:48):
I got a pigeon with a big Cowboys hat and
he's got a big shake in his.
Speaker 4 (46:57):
GVI in the Cowboys owner buck and even even the
Cowboy Bees.
Speaker 3 (47:04):
Would be happier, really escalator quickly. You got Cowboy Shake
coming up here. That's a part part purple flavor and
part honey flavor.
Speaker 4 (47:14):
And we get so much more now that Grimaces are
on the show here, and I'm just gonna have to
take a step back from the operations do here.
Speaker 3 (47:25):
Grima's just the bashing of positivity.
Speaker 5 (47:27):
Well, you mentioned the Steelers eight and a half the
total Jason as soon as Rogers was no longer a Jet,
He's buried him and says he's got nothing left and
it's all going to fail and blow up in Tomlin's
face and and cause him to lose his job.
Speaker 4 (47:42):
I'm bet for boll victory. That's what I'm betting. I'm
free from the Jets ex.
Speaker 1 (47:50):
Jet now good, yeahll pretty much.
Speaker 4 (47:53):
I mean like he played for the Steelers and as
now two of the most story franchises, and then there's
the Jets.
Speaker 1 (48:08):
Are you really trying to sell me that? You're really
trying to sell me that with Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 4 (48:14):
I'm trying to tell you that they have a really
great defense, which they do. They'll figure it out with
he's with with Watt, that would be fine, right, TJ's
gonna play, They'll somehow pay him more money if you had.
You know, they were decent last year with Russell Wilson.
I still think that Aaron Rodgers is better than Russell Wilson. Yeah.
(48:38):
I don't like the fact that he wasn't there during
the offseason, but I think the fact that now everybody
knows he got married, I think everybody looks that good.
Oh yeah, I get it. I get why he wasn't here.
I can understand that, and so that that relieves some
of the the ill will that he was building up with,
(48:59):
you know, the organization, not just the fans and not
just all the media who's like questioning whether he's into
this or not. But it's all of a sudden, Oh yeah,
I got now. It's still not a great situation from
a do you actually know the guys that you're playing with,
You you know the timing, you have everything down. No,
it doesn't work out. But again, this was a team
(49:20):
that was competitive last year when they just had Russell
Wilson out there and and Aaron Rodgers. I truly believe
it's still better than Russell Wilson. A lot better, debatable,
but the better. Again, it's the grimmest concept.
Speaker 5 (49:39):
I see it all come ba back to Grima's let's
stay in division.
Speaker 3 (49:43):
What happens in Cincinnati?
Speaker 2 (49:45):
What breaks everything?
Speaker 3 (49:48):
Okay, Wow, the.
Speaker 4 (49:51):
Bengals, you know, like they had all the hope for
a couple of years. You know, we got Burrow, we'll
get Chase, We've got weapons, we got everything. And then
it's like, oh yeah, we don't want to sign our
best defensive player. We don't want to pay him. Why
because the owner is cheap and so at the end
of the day, as much as Henderson has played really
hard and deserves another contract, you know, Mike Brown wants
(50:14):
to be you know, he just wants to be so
cheap for no reason. You've got to reward guys who
play that hard. You want to reward your own guys,
especially when you're a team that doesn't play free agency
right Like, you don't go out and spend on guys
(50:35):
a lot. You want to spend on guys who are
in the house and who's been more productive for them
our grant. The defense still was terrible last year, and
Hendrickson was allowed to just you know, to do what
he wanted essentially, but he did it. He was he
was the only bright spot on a horrible defense. So
(50:58):
why aren't you paying him when you're paying Higgins, Chase
and Burrow. Arguably he's better than He's better than Higgins certainly,
and the player he's more important. Now, he's not better
better than Chase than Burrow, but he's better than Higgins,
and Haigen's got paid.
Speaker 1 (51:17):
Jason Colard, guest, Jason Smith, Mike Carbon live from the
Fox Sports Radio studios.
Speaker 3 (51:21):
All right, so so help us here right now.
Speaker 1 (51:23):
If you add a crystal ball, and I can say,
going into week one of the season, the starting quarterback
for the Cleveland Browns is who And you can't say
Brian Sipe.
Speaker 4 (51:41):
Though it really is. I like the pipe choice, and
I do I not get that one of the.
Speaker 3 (51:47):
Choice cardiac kids.
Speaker 1 (51:48):
I mean, I love the cardiac kids, but I mean,
I you know, Pipe is in his seventies.
Speaker 4 (51:52):
Now, I'm Bernie Cossar.
Speaker 3 (51:58):
I'll bet Bernie Coast, Bernie Kozar.
Speaker 4 (52:02):
Yeah, it was just in a hospital bed. And but
a picture of him that that qualifies him to be
the Browns. The Browns quarterback at this point.
Speaker 1 (52:14):
Brian Sipe is seventy six, seventy six. I'm glad he's
the same age as Joe Flacco.
Speaker 4 (52:21):
You have it like Richard Dawson right there, so when
you were doing a match game and I love yeah, exactly.
He's seventy six, so.
Speaker 1 (52:36):
Uh, the Browns quarterback is going to be blank parent
put to Town Brown.
Speaker 3 (52:45):
You're lording over him with the giant stick microphone.
Speaker 4 (52:48):
Now, I wish I could do a really great Charles
Nelson Riley impersonation.
Speaker 3 (52:54):
You'll have to work on that for next week.
Speaker 1 (52:57):
I can't keep explaining the gen xers Charles Nelson Riley
is we don't have.
Speaker 4 (53:01):
That time, We really that, nor do we really want
to spend any time on more time on Charles Nelton Riley.
Who is the woman who's sat next to Charles now,
Brett Summers.
Speaker 3 (53:15):
Brett Summers.
Speaker 4 (53:17):
Oh that that's a good one.
Speaker 3 (53:19):
Yeah, Brett Summers, Okay, okay.
Speaker 4 (53:21):
Yeah Dawson. Richard Dawson used to plot with her all
the time. You flirted with everybody but including Charles Nelson
ran but I don't know, oh yeah, but all that
all that.
Speaker 1 (53:36):
For you to say, I don't know what that was. Analysts,
are you most like he's on the floor of Congress?
You dance with you, dance with Charles Nelson Riley and
Brett Summers and Richard Dawson and Jean Rayburn and all
crazy ass stuff. And you give me a I don't
know what the hell man?
Speaker 4 (53:52):
Okay, what tag odds do I get on Sugar Sanders.
Speaker 3 (53:57):
I'll give you a great ones on door Sanders. I'll
tell you this.
Speaker 1 (54:00):
I think we go into we go into week one.
Joe Flacco is the unquestioned number one, and Sanders is
the number two. And Sanders starts by the beginning of October.
Speaker 4 (54:11):
I do ask, why do you ask me if you
thought it was unquestioned? Why would you Why are you
asking me a question that you already have an answer
to it? Like, I don't understand that you have a plan.
Just state your plan. I don't get this at all.
This is this is the kind of week thinking that
goes along with being a Jets fan.
Speaker 3 (54:26):
I you know, yes or no? Yes or no?
Speaker 1 (54:30):
Would this conversation be going better if I was talking
to Grimace instead of you, you.
Speaker 4 (54:35):
Know, because I'm going to ask him a question and
try to be evasive about the answer, and because I
want to set it up. Oh no, this is what
I think. What's just say the first place?
Speaker 1 (54:44):
Tell me what you think. You tell me, you think
I agree, because look I'm right about most things, or
you disagree, or if you think Mayor mcchee should be
the quarterback to do.
Speaker 4 (54:53):
That's what really you should do. Take a stand and
I'm going with George Sanders right there. It's it, pal there.
Speaker 3 (55:02):
See. Was that that difficult? Was that that hard to
come up with you? Door Sanders? Was it that hard?
Speaker 4 (55:07):
The only difficult part was trying to talk over you
for the entire time.
Speaker 1 (55:13):
He's on Twitter at Jason Cole sixty two. That is,
at Jason Cole sixty two. Check him out of the
thirty third team, Jacobs. See you make Yeah, you're the best.
Speaker 3 (55:24):
Let's see it.
Speaker 5 (55:25):
Jacob to talk to you later at Jason Cole sixty
two on Twitter.
Speaker 3 (55:30):
Wow, oh boy, I talk it over you.
