Speaker 2 (00:23):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Greetings, Welcome inside. Happy Wednesday Wednesday? Yeah, Wednesday, right, still
wed Wednesday, Wednesday? We were two days, right, two days?
This week is day three?

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Yeah okay, yeah, just making sure since college day four
for me, but yeah, day three.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Sometimes the day is just blend right into each other.
That that means life is going well. Yeah, Live from
the Fox Sports Radio Studios.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Except the Mets.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Uh you know what we we we don't have time
for the Mets right now because the Valkyries are about
to start and we are on Bilbo Baggin's watch for
the WNBA game tonight that's about to tip all.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
But the Mets could be getting no hit, you know. Instead,
it was a Sammy so so like meaningless home run in.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
A way that was so much more Mets to Actually,
here's the story. It could be a no hitter, but
they break it up with one out in the ninth
inning and lose. Like that's so much more Mets than
actually getting no hit.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Yeah, I mean it's a better story that way, especially
when you got the broadcasters, you know, watching another game
but keeping an eye on a no hitter and kind
of commenting on that. And then the no hitter gets
broken up with the home run because it gets to
breathe otherwise, Yeah, they lost and they move on, right,
It doesn't matter when you get.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Into the ninth thitting, you're basically no hit anyway, right,
so you go go all the way with it. Now,
Soto with a home run. They lose four to one.
The Mets lose again. All the now, the the losing
Yankees can't mask how bad the Mets have been. They
can't hide behind the Yankees anymore like they have.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
You can still.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Game.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
I guess you move beyond that, but you know, you
do always have to celebrate, as we want to do
here in the evenings when we come on and games
have gone complete or as we watch them. I gotta
like Gavin Williams to have the game that he did
eight and two thirds. I give him the the clapp
forget about not getting the the no hitter and giving
up a danger.

Speaker 5 (02:32):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
The fact of the matter is the guy pitched past
five innings. That makes him an American hero. You mean
you what you okay? Okay?

Speaker 1 (02:39):
You want to give him applause? Yeah, okay, very good.
Want to make sure that's what you mean.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Laurel and Hardy handshake, all right, I get, I give
him a hand I give a I give the uh
the giant applause.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
But here we sit right now, and really, this is
this is America twenty twenty five. Uh, the biggest game
of the night, the only game in the w NBA
tonight record ratings. I'm sure the Valkyrie hosting the aces,
and of course everybody will be watching to see if
a certain sex toy yeah gets thrown on the court
for the fourth time in the last week. Considering we

(03:09):
saw it last night in Los Angeles, we spent the
last hour of the show talking about it. Potentially it
happened in a couple of other games, but the Billbo
Baggins did not make it all the way onto the
onto the court. It was thrown on the they were
thrown on the floor, So I went, do we really
think we're gonna get that happening time? Do you really
think do we see another one thrown on the floor
tonight between the Aces and the Valkyrie.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Oh well, you know the security on high alert, monitoring
my words carefully.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
You know, in terms of attempting to throw it, I
can't say that I've been involved in any kind of contest,
So I don't know throwing for distance, you know what
it does, what kind of torque and arm angle you got,
Because clearly there were a couple of attempts that failed
to reach the court, which is good. Some folks tried
to dismiss this categorically, and I think the sad state
of affairs is that that became the It's more hot

(04:02):
topic than Caitlin Clark or any of these stars missing
time due to injury, the play on the court. It's
the Valkyries. So we have what at least two incidences
with Valkyrie's games. Yeah. Well, look, I mean really gets
you really into a larger discussion about San Francisco, which
has its reputation anyway. I mean, look, everybody watching this game,

(04:23):
it just tipped off, like just watching the floor looking
to see if something gets the Is it.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Gonna be time out? Is it gonna be while someone
shooting a free throw? Is it not when they're shooting
a free throw? Is someone gonna tweet about it? Will
they show it? Because I look, we talked about this
after it happened the second time, as I guarantee you,
or if not, I should be commissioned of the WNBA. Sorry,
Kathy Angler, but I can come in and take care
of things and make people love Caitlin Clark. Is that

(04:48):
I I would be stunned if there wasn't some court,
some sort of meeting today, some sort of conversation with
the broadcast of the game that says, if anything gets
through you, if you see something, they got to have
a spotter that's watching, uh, making sure there's somebody who's
job at this tonight is to see if anything gets
thrown on the court. And if something gets thrown on

(05:08):
the court, you direct the television to not air it,
so you do not say, Now you can't stop people
on social media, people with cell phone, but you were
stopping people from airing this because this is again I mean,
I feel bad for the WNBA because this is the
biggest headline they've had outside of Caitlin Clark, and everybody
is jealous of her, right, I feel bad that that

(05:29):
no one get you know, that the people can't respect
the game enough to the point where, oh, a guy
got arrested, and we saw that, and and and and
a player said, hey, don't throw stuff on the floor.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
You I don't care.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
I'm still gonna throw something on the floor and I'm
gonna throw it at the player that said don't throw things.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
And this is where we're at now, like that where
that's the thing? Right, because a lot of the discussion
as it is filtered out into the late hours and
morning after we were done and gone last night was
the well. I mean, I don't think they're trying to
send a message like not at all, but the message
is loudly received. It's diminishing and taking away from anything

(06:04):
that's happening on the court and in terms of the
play in between the white lines. Right, because the w
NBA discussion, for folks that aren't paying attention to the
league at all, it becomes a nice easy It's like, wow,
this is what the league is, right, We're talking about
wigs and sex toys. That's that's what it gets dismissed

(06:24):
at well, Caitlin Clark and then Wiggs and then sex.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Next story was here, and god like the Whig story
was here and then it left like this is like
this is like this is a TikTok. Hey, people are
doing this kind of trend that's stuck around for a
long time. And again I feel bad that that people
don't have their The league doesn't have the respect that
fans can see again, somebody get arrested, a player just say, hey,
don't throw stuff like that on the court. You did somebody,
And not only does fans say, yeah, I don't care

(06:52):
about the prison thing or going to jail, and I'm
gonna throw it at you, like, I mean, just think
about that for a second.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Well, I think we're using the term fa and very
liberally because if you're in the building, but if you're
going there, I mean, look, they paid for their ticket.
But then there's obviously an angle and since there's a
betting market now on the color of said toy that
is the next to be thrown. Now you can manipulate
the markets because you have perfect information, you decide to

(07:19):
go in. I don't know what kind of limit you
can get on that, because that's going to be a
provider by provider. But if you can go and make
yourself a quick couple hundred bucks or a couple thousand
bucks by importing said toy to a game and firing
onto a court, guess what people have done a lot
worse for a lot less.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Now, I'm glad you brought up the color because I
was thinking about this coming in, like I thought about it.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
You were thinking about this, well, I had a million
other things. I was just thinking about gains America. It's
your favorite color. This is where we're at.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
No, no, no, no, you know I can't stand that
that neongreen. I think it's what it looks awful for this. Yeah,
I bought a whole bunch of hot s.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Plus I couldn't know, but it's the most popular in
terms of sales. And here's here's what I would have done, right,
here's the market. I would have said.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Okay, I would have given all the players tonight neon
green sneakers to wear during the game. That way, it
would be really if one got thrown onto the because
you know they're gonna throw a green one. I know
you have the different colors but really the green's become
the calling.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
Well, but the green, right, all of the betting markets
are if not green, here are the odds, like it's
just taken off the board as the presumptive this is
going to be the color. But if it isn't, here
are the odds alone. By the way, if something does
get on the court, Kelsey Plump's finding it and kicking it.
So flying back in from Los Angeles to the Flying Kid.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
No, but I mean if you had everybody in neon
green sneakers, it would be really tough. Then it's like, oh,
well played, WNB. I gotta put this away and try
to come back with a different color next time.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Right, That's what I because I think.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
About it you're talking about You're talking about twenty feet
in one spot on the floor, and if it gets
thrown wait wait, I don't see it.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
I don't see where is it. Where's it? I don't
see it. Don't say it. Now I realize it doesn't
get thrown.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
You're gonna get people on social media going, oh, now
there's twenty of them on the floor. No, but you
wanna I think you should do that and say, okay,
you really want to try to we can play dirty
here too.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
Are the odds based on the first one to hit
the floor, Well, you think there's be more than one?
I don't know. I mean there were multiple allegedly and
a couple of the spots yesterday. So if you're trying
to make sure, you know, and you're you're running towards
the court and you're gonna throw, uh, maybe you distract
all the security so the person on the other side
can get theirs thrown in. All right, So we're.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
About five minutes into the game, nothing has been thrown
onto the court and Vegas Leeds go not yet. Yes,
you're right, you have to say yet a Vegas Leeds
Golden State eight three.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
Now.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
One thing that was thrown out there today about this
because the way the story turned out there, Yeah not.
My first day was that a no bag policy was
instituted by the WMA. I mean, you can't bring a
bag in to games. And anybody that's gone to a
game you know that some some stadiums you can bring it.
If it's clear you can't bring in any bag.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Well, like they the Hello Kitty guy yesterday one hundred
hour bag. Yeah, on the secondary market, I'm telling you
that Monsie Bolgias is selling like ten twelve of them
at a time right now, any bay.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
But uh, I don't think that's true. That's not that's
not been verified by anybody. But a lot of people
have picked up all the no bag policy, no bag policy.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
But I don't think that's come.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
I mean, and I don't know why that's something that's
made up, because it's like, okay, it would kind of
make sense to have some kind of policy. Okay, we
can't keep having this, right is this? We can't keep that?
I think that was tied into the story where they're
getting rid of the dunk contest.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
Oh is that what?

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (10:44):
Okay, all right, I didn't know that it was on
the you scrolled down and clicked it was right there,
all the way on the bottom, in a real tiny print,
right there, right right right before the unsubscribe. Oh I
got to click it. We're all the way down unsubscribed there.
Uh so, all right, So I asked you this. I
asked you that fourth thirty to go in the first quarter.
Does something get thrown on the floor tonight? Bilbo does

(11:06):
a Does Bilbo Baggins get thrown on the floor tonight?

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Really, see I'm gonna say no. At any point at tonight,
I'm gonna say no. I'm gonna say no. Not because
I think suddenly people have had enough of this, But
it's the only game you would have had to you
would have had you would have to find a way
to get to this game.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
It's it's like one of those to smuggle. Yeah, you
know what it's like.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
It's like when in Logan Lucky when they're like, Oh,
we're gonna pull a big heights, what are gonna do.
We're gonna rob Nascar. We're gonna rob the track at
one of the big races. Oh whoa, that's a that's
a tough race to get into. Yeah, but we're gonna
do it. Like the next tomorrow, there's a bunch of
w NBA games and I don't know where the person
or people are doing this. Maybe they're going back and forth,
flying around the country going but this is one game,

(11:49):
one spotlight on it, and if it happens and you
get caught, wow, I'll tell you what, man, that's gonna
be really bad. So I think I think they take
tonight off from it and we don't have it happen tonight.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
I don't know we had one to hit Sophie Cunningham
yesterday right next to Kelsey Plum. And we've seen jackasses
running across fields for as long as you and I
have been doing the show. In decades before that. Sure,
we had a couple of guys that decided they didn't
like the dude from the Royals at in Chicago and
went out and actually got hammered to hit him here.

(12:21):
I mean, what's the maximum fine? I mean, like a
night in jail and you might have been able to
make a bunch of money on the secondary markets.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
Something where if you're gonna do something, let's just try
to eat Psychology people to try to do things like
this is that to do it when it's expected. People
kind of zig where they zag on that right, like, Okay,
we're gonna take a night off now there's a bunch
of games tomorrow and whatever.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
Maybe it happens at one of the games where when.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
There's more games going on, maybe some places or less
lax with bringing stuff in. Whatever it is, but one
game to get away with it when the when everybody's
eyes are on it, that's a difficult thing.

Speaker 5 (12:58):
Man.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
I'm looking I'll go the other way, right because tomorrow,
what do we get a bunch of NFL preseason Bilbo
Baggins ain't getting a lot of run. It would be
a headline. Nah no, se competing with the NFL run. No, see,
you're you're the only game in town tonight. Most baseball
has already been played on a getaway day, White Mariners. Notwithstanding,

(13:23):
now you get your run here. By the way, the
other thing is down. Now you also have the variations
of said objects start coming in, because we've gotta have
the non metal versions that come through. Okay, you metal
in terms of the rigidity and such. M E T
A L. Yeah, okay, not metal like on the metal stands. No, no, no, no, no, well,

(13:45):
I mean that's if we're talking about three. I don't
know what the silver is, but you only get one
of those if you throw it really for no, that's
it right. And then here, I mean, they're gonna have
halftime contests for throwing. No, I don't know I'm saying this.
This becomes a minor league baseball promotion at some point.
Instead of throwing a ball through the you know, football

(14:07):
through the net. Like everybody keeps harping on quarterbacks in
their workouts. Now we start having other kind of all right,
I'm good, I'm still I'm still gonna say no.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
I'm gonna say no. We have a clean game tonight.
They have a clean game tonight, and nothing hits the
floor except sneakers, the ball, and players, sweat and blood.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
That's it. The sweat and blood hit the floor too. Okay,
maybe not blood.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Sweat hits the floor, okay, okay, so body when the
bodies hit the floor. So we have sweat, we have bodies,
we have the ball, we have sneakers.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
That's what. That's all the isolated here's your opportunity.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
Too dangerous, man, Too dangerous, too dangerous. Everybody is looking
waiting for it. It's easy to police one game. How
do you police you know, six games going on at
one time? How do you do that? It's tougher, man,
you've seen all these crazes.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
You're not adding extra Did they add extra security for
the game? More attention on this? Yeah, get caught the
bigger penalty. It's going to wind up being because you
get caught with the whole world wide. It's like we
say about it when you blow chunks on Sunday afternoon
at one o'clock in the football season. Okay, you blow
chunks Monday night at nine o'clock in the football season.

(15:15):
That changes everything. One game tonight. Everybody watching waiting to
see what happens. Yeah, you see, it's it's too dangerous
man to day, they take the night off from this.
No get that. Man or woman can then put up
a go fund yourself and there'll be millionaires by the
end of the night.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Okay, we'll see. One of us will be right, one
of us will be wrong.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
It'll be me.

Speaker 5 (15:33):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
Jason Smith Mike Harmon, live from the Fox Sports Radio.

What do you mean what run? You're not gonna get fired.

the end of the first quarter.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
WNBA.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
Nothing is hit the floor again. We're gonna get a
clean game time my garment. I'm I'm a believer in
the best of people and good things. We're gonna get
a clean game tonight. Nothing hits the floor except sneakers
and sweat.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
No, it's good. I appreciate you know you want to
go skipping down the road. You want me to give
you a lolly pop and you can dance as you
do sixteen fourteen, end of one. You know, to actually
give the game specificity as opposed to just whether someone
committed a criminal act. As it were nearing the end
of the first quarter, we're here. We're good.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
So now so far one quarter down. I'm feeling all right,
I'm feeling okay about my production. I'm hoping I win.
I'm hoping I win, and the WNBA is hoping I win.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
Yes, they certainly are. Again, it's not a function of
whether someone's got some great plot as to why they're
doing it. They could simply just be jackasses. But it
does not help your league and the efforts of the
WNBA for this to be the reason that sports talk

(18:54):
and television in morning shows are talking about your league.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
But this again, Welcome to America twenty twenty five. Now
you talked about helping and helping your league and helper.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
Yesterday we did a pretty big topic on ESPN buying
NFL Network and the Red Zone, and the reaction after
that happened was, to a man, fans say, ESPN's just
gonna screw it up, whether they feel that ESPN is
gonna be too woke or they're gonna force feed personalities.

(19:27):
I can't stand on me and Stephen A. Smith is
gonna host the red zone.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
Touch down Eagles touns down here.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
Like whatever's gonna happen. Uh, They're gonna find a way
to ruin it. And you know, we talked about this
last night. We went viral for us that if you're
ESPN and the reaction to the Worldwide Leader getting more
football from the fans is we're gonna ruin it. You
need to look in the mirror and figure out how
to change the optics and reputation of the Worldwide Leader,

(19:56):
because that is I mean, this is not ESPN is
not some sort of fly by night streaming service that
has a lot of money saying hey, we're gonna buy
some NFL games.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
Oh okay, great.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
What is it?

Speaker 1 (20:05):
Yeah, I know, We're gonna work and put it on
a paramount plus plus no paramount plus, no paramount plus plus.
It's the second paramount's paramount plus plus. Yeah, don't worry
about it. We'll find it. Shows top Gun, Maverick, and
then we show all the NFL stuff. So this is
the this is the status of ESPN right now. It
is a look in the mirror moment of this is
the image of the company that has been leading the

(20:26):
sports world for the better part of the last fifty years.
Right and then today somehow that story got worse because
today it was announced another big moment for ESPN. They
announced a big partnership with the WWE. Ww is bringing
a lot of events to ESPN that ESPN is going
to stream on different platforms. Is a lot of inside
baseball with this in business, but basically, WWE is going

(20:48):
to bring live premier events to ESPN. I'm sure some
of them will be part of the ESPN appen and
streaming service you have to buy. Some of them will
be on free ESPN as well. So this is gonna
be a new world for the WWE. And does it
seem to be that different from what the WWE has
going on now?

Speaker 3 (21:06):
No, not really.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Will there be a little bit more pay per view probably,
Will there still be a lot of free events, probably,
But the general reaction from everybody it look the two
most popular and most vociferous I would say fan bases,
most rabbid fan bases in the world. Well three you
have English Premier League Soccer, the NFL and WWE. Those

(21:28):
are the most rabid fan bases you could possibly imagine.
You had the NFL fan base thinking you're just gonna
screw up the NFL, and now all day today was
WW They're gonna fight ESPN is gonna find a way
to screw it up. I'm not wind up paying so
much money for this because look, WW puts pay per
view events on all the time. You want to follow
the storylines and not miss anything. Whereas with the NFL, Okay,
if I missed the Jets losing twenty eight to three,

(21:50):
I missed the Jets losing twenty eight to three. But
I want to see all this. So you see how
upset that the fans are. And and even again with this,
it was even more rabbid than it was day ago
because you had fans upset knowing full well, this is
money coming out of my pocket at some point. Now,
is it gonna be as much as people want to
make it, believe, No, because ESPN is not gonna Look

(22:12):
they've been doing this for a while. Are they gonna
do some stuff to help themselves out?

Speaker 3 (22:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (22:16):
Is the future of sports streaming, Yes, we've talked about this,
whether it's ESPN or Fox or Paramount or Max whatever
it is, the future of sports is streaming. So it's
not gonna be that bad. But you see the reaction
of the fans being that they're just gonna ruin the WWE.
And now people are so pissed at ESPN forgetting they're
pissed at WWE.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
I mean that, I mean, that's amazing. They're so pissed
at ESPN. They're pissed at WWE for going to ESPN.
That's how bad.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
That's how bad an optic this is that ESPN they
got to take some of this money and and and
figure out a way to change the network's reputation and optics.
Because Wow, I can't get over that. This is where
it's out again, America twenty twenty five.

Speaker 3 (22:59):
Well, we'd already need it happening for years with your
different talent appearing on ESPN properties morning shows, whatever to
do announcements. Certainly has seen that part of the NFL
network as well. Plenty of NFL players with big NFL
fan bases and ties. Seth Rollins the new champ. He's

(23:20):
a Bears guy. Bailey one of my favorites. She's a
big forty nine Ers fan, so there's always these ties.
She hangs out with George Kittle a bunch whatever else.
But the fine print was what you got lost in
all of this, Like, if you have a cable subscription
that you get ESPN, you will get access yes, you
will get access. Right, what you still have is this

(23:41):
weird convergence or now it's more disparate, is that you've
got the Netflix deal has a couple more years for WWE,
you've got the Peacock deal that still has another couple
of years, but now you have the premium live events
eventually going all in to this ESPN deal. Again, if

(24:03):
you have a cable subscription, you have, and it had
to enumerate them as the day went on because everybody
was mad. Is it more expensive if you have to
buy Yeah, it's twenty nine bucks for what ESPN is
putting out. But if you already have ESPN as part
of your cable package, you're gonna be okay. It's going
to be okay. Then now the Peacock subscription depending on
what you had, what is it eleven bucks a month

(24:25):
or seventeen bucks a month or whatever, And you've got
the archives of the WWE so fans you know, wanting
to go back and watch the Mega Powers. You're still
gonna have to keep your Peacock subscription. You're not gonna
be able to get rid of it. But it's like
all of it, it evolves and again you don't want
to pay for it, make a choice with your wallet.
Nobody's forcing you and holding you over a barrel. It's

(24:48):
like when people go to a theme park or whatever
else it's so expensive, Like you do that going in
and yes, now you have to learn the new place
on your cable system or download a different app, but
you're going to get a code. Does it mean that
eventually they're not going to go into your pocket deeper? No,
that's exactly what it means.

Speaker 5 (25:07):
Just right.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
You're not easy.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
But it doesn't matter because no matter what the truth is,
fans don't want ESPN to have ww they don't want
ESPN to have the NFL, they don't want the worldwide
leader in sport. It almost makes me feel bad for
them again, like the Yankees. I almost felt bad for
the Yankees the last few nights. I almost feel bad
for them. But you're ready for it to get worse
for ESPN. I mean, just because this is of all

(25:30):
the things that happen this today is what blew me away. Now,
this announcement goes on and we don't talk about other
people on other networks, the actual personalities, but me being
there in the nineties in production and then being there
for most of the two thousands hosting All Night. I
still am stunt. I know it's a different world right now,

(25:51):
but to see Pat McAfee part of the part of WWE, right,
part of everything, like and he and Stephen A. Smith
are ESPN's biggest stars, right. The fact that Pat McAfee can,
unprompted go on Twitter, right, not that he's in the
middle of a war with somebody or you know when
it was a year ago with Norby Williamson who I
remember working for Norby back in the nineties.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
Whereas all this guy's trying to sabotage my show.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
Okay, they have beef, but he decided to celebrate this thing,
to go on social media and say, hey, great to
see these two powerhouses of sports and entertainment come together.
Then he says, quote, I assume all the mid level
powerless bum a suits at ESPN will attempt to muddy
this somehow out of context, leaks, ignorant, anonymous opinions, etc.

(26:35):
But in the end, this agreement will outlive the dinosaurs
currently guarding desks in Bristol. And he gets away with it,
like he gets it. He can say this about ESPN
within the company, not somebody who's a disgruntled employee that left.

Speaker 3 (26:50):
Let me tell you about how bad what they tried
to do to me at ESPN.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
This is their second biggest starts at any any event,
their second biggest star. Who decides, unprompted, I am gonna
torch the company that I work for And okay, like really,
I mean at ESPN. You'll know if tomorrow there's no
sort of disciplinary action for Pat mcraefe for just taking
on ESPN with this, you will know that they are

(27:14):
absolutely toothless and and they are just they're just lost.
Like I can't believe that we're talking about the status
of ESPN going from the company that embraced sports fans
that for the longest time were underserved, and they'll look
at ESPN. They do things so great, and they do
everything so awesome. And everybody that I knew growing up
wanted to work at ESPN. I wanted to work at ESPN.

(27:36):
Then they became the evil Empire. But so boy, they
have everything, but what are you gonna do? We get
great college football, college basketball NFL now here we are
where it is completely different, and not only are the
fans upset with what with what they see going on
with ESPN. Again, you have the second biggest star, unprompted,
not involved in a war with anybody, not just saying

(27:57):
just saying powerless bum ass suits. The agreement will outlive
the dinosaurs. Like wow, man, I can't believe he said.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
That two things. Change is inevitable, Change is hard, right,
So if you got used to where you were consuming
your product and then it goes to ESPN, which is
not the same ESPN you and I grew up with,
by any by any rational person's just watching what it's become. Right.
It was Sports Center, it was Sports Reporters. It was

(28:29):
a couple of shows like that, and then you had
live events. That was it, and then it became more personality,
more debate, more whatever. The radio shows moving in now
with Pat mcavee, we haven't had an outward battle. He's
been on and off WWE for some period. Now. You
can always use the hey, I got a young family

(28:51):
at home and all of that. I don't doubt for
a minute there haven't been a bunch of battles about
his involvement with the WWE and taking time away and
whether it was affecting his product with ESPN. By some
of these nameless middle managers. So the fact that this
deal now got signed, he's taken the baseball bat out.

(29:15):
I mean that he's going to town as if he's
Robert de Niro. This team, how how it got worse
for ESPN? Two big announcements and all all it does
is just it's it's boom, you got a one point
six billion dollar deal. But it's like this is bad.
Body blow body blow. And I'd be really and and
and and really to.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
Have the thing is to have McAfee say this on
a day in which is a big celebration day. And yes,
I'm happy for that, but all these bum ass suits,
all these diners, is all these bad people. It's almost
like he's like at w W villain, like I'm gonna
I'm gonna criticize it, but it's not part of a script.

Speaker 3 (29:50):
Because you know that's how we feel. But owning it
to the fact that there might have been things in
the works for a long time that got buddied up,
and that's exactly who he's calling out. It's like it
got done in spite of you, and now he's doing
a victory.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
But I don't I don't think people are trying to
They were trying to torpedo the deal with w WE, like.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
This is a it's a big business.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
No, but sports sports above No, it gets above the middle.
The middle mech the people that in our offices. This
is at the highest level.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
But if some of those people got into those meetings,
he was dealing with.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
That torpedo a billion, billion dollar deal that people aren't
in those kind of meetings, trust me. I know who's
in those kind of meetings. Nobody.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
No, I don't know anything about it. Nobody that he's taught.
I was there.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
I was inside the walls there for a long time.
I talk to people, all right. I know who's in
these meetings.

Speaker 3 (30:37):
Right.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
The level of people that he's talking about are not
at the highest level of these meetings. They're not sitting
here saying, hey, we don't know, we want to get
in bed with the WWE. Wait what that's not happening.
Trust me, trust me, trust me, just gonna let it go.
I want you to trust me.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
You're the smartest guy in the room. Oh now you're upset.
Now you're upset.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
Okay, let's find out what's trending from someone who maybe
the smartest person in the room.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
It's Monty Bolanos. I think I am. I would like
to think so. I'm good.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
You know I'm getting those k bobbleheads right yeah, Okay, get.

Speaker 3 (31:08):
One right now.

Speaker 4 (31:08):
You gotta work your way back to getting two.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
Okay, not only the smartest person the room, the smartest
person at Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (31:14):
All right, we're getting closer, getting closer to those two.
Speaking of two, that's how many runs the Diamondbacks have scored.
It started with a Gorbyn Carrol home run. So right
now they're up on the Padres two zero. Bottom of
the fourth inning. The Mariners have extended their lead over
the White Sox. Julio Rodriguez, big fan over here, three
run shot. They're up on the White Sox seven to one.

(31:34):
Top of the third inning. The Brewers have now won
six in a row. They topped the Braves five to
four and completed the sweep. The Royals snapped the Red
Sox seven game winning streak, coming out on top today
seven to three, Nationals edging the A's two to one.
Marlin's avoiding the sweep with the six to four win
over the Astros. The Cardinals held on five to three
against the Dodgers in La.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
It was World Series show.

Speaker 4 (31:58):
Hey O, Tawny give and Shoeyodannie pitched four innings, struck
out eight, hit home run number thirty nine on the season,
which also happened to be his one thousandth career hit,
but the Dodgers lose five to three to the Cardinals. Boo,
there was almost a no hitter today. Almost. Guardians pitcher
Gavin Williams had that no hitter going into the ninth inning,

(32:18):
was in the ninth inning, and then of course to
met Swan Soto hits a so low home run, but
Cleveland still won that game four to one. Yankee snapped
their five game losing streak by beating the Rangers three
to two. In the NFL, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford received
an epidural to deal with an aggravated disc, but the
team still thinks he'll be ready for Week one. Dolphins

(32:41):
tight end Darren Waller is one week away from practicing.
According to head coach Mike McDaniel, Titans quarterback Cam Ward
and the starters are going to play in every preseason game.
Head coach Brian Callahan said as when it comes to
Aaron Rodgers, Steelers quarterback he said it's not likely that
he's gonna play Saturday against the Jaguars, But when he
was asked about his available this preseason, Rogers said that

(33:01):
he will do whatever head coach Mike Tomlin asks him
to do. And lastly, guys, players will still be able
to whiff smelling salts during the games this season.

Speaker 3 (33:13):
That yes.

Speaker 4 (33:14):
The NFLPA sent a message to the players Wednesday night
clarifying that the league's ban on smelling salts only applies
to clubs providing it to the players. So bring your
own smelling salts.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
I can still bring him in here and use them. Yes, okay,
very good, all right, Yeah, nothing's precluding.

Speaker 4 (33:33):
Nothing nothing and nothing has gone flying at this w
NBA game. Yes, five minutes to go in the first half,
Aces Valkyries tied to twenty seven.

Speaker 3 (33:44):
Nothing flying yet.

Speaker 3 (34:44):
We are all good. We are nearly halfway home the
only WNBA game of the night, nice clean battle forty
thirty four game, final minute. Yeah, all good, Thus far
good clean American fund far, Fitzgerald used to say, And
so far we're halfway the halfway there. We're halfway there, well,
I mean until I can bust out to Tiana almost

(35:07):
there with about a minute left in the fourth and
even then until it's all zeros of buzzer sounds and

Speaker 5 (35:44):
Well.

Speaker 1 (35:44):
When you get your thousandth hit in this fashion, despite
the fact your team ruined the day for you by
not winning, you get to be the play of the day.

Speaker 2 (35:55):
Stacks run in the air, deep.

Speaker 7 (35:56):
Center field, Scott going back, forget about it, it's god halfway.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
Up to pavilion.

Speaker 7 (36:05):
The Dodger picture launches a massive home run, his thirty
ninth this year.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
So there was Dodgers TV on the call. Another home
run for show. Hey, Otani, he is the play of
the day. And you know last night Dodger with a
big win. Hey, that could be a big springboard win. Nope,
didn't happen.

Speaker 3 (36:26):
No, not quite. I like the music in the background
there though, it sounded like, you know, an eight bit
video game was getting ready to commence, all right, got
my guy out there with a Pickaggs or something. Great
effort from Otani on the mound as well. I hit
one hundred miles an hour a couple of times and
came up with some big efforts. But now it's that

(36:48):
that question that lingers of what's his long term prospects.
We've talked a lot about the closing role for him eventually,
but that would mean you have enough starting pitchers that
you can shift there. Uh, but we are going to
get a couple of Ageles Wonders on Friday. Yeah, kershawn. Yeah,
it's like the combined age ninety eight. It's gonna really

(37:10):
be sad. That'd be great, but yeah show hey, Uh,
another massive milestone for us.

Speaker 1 (37:15):
Now, speaking of milestone, we are going to get something
huge this weekend in Major League Baseball when the first
it's not no no, no baseball, baseball, baseball, baseball dot Uh,
we are going to get the first female umpire in
the history of Major League Baseball when Jen Powell is
going to umpire a game this weekend, Marlin's game. And uh,

(37:40):
this is the first time this will have happened in
baseball history. And not gonna believe you're gonna umpire the base.
It's like it used to be the second base umpire
for the game, not gonna behind home.

Speaker 3 (37:50):
He's gonna be played at the end of the h Yeah,
the series.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
Yeah, she's gonna she'll break She'll break the mark on Saturday.
Of course, obviously there's gonna be a lot of atten
on this. And you know, here's the thing is, it's
a it's an unbelievable story because you think about this,
But I swear to you, if you said to me,
have we had female umpires in Major League Baseball? I
would have said, yeah, right, because that would have thought
I would have said, yeah, we had, like we we

(38:15):
broke through that, right, that we broke through that, that
we broke through the glass ceiling, right, And we've had
it because we've seen it happen in the NFL, We've
seen it in college football, we've seen it in the NBA.
I would say, for sure, yeah, we've seen it before
in Major League Baseball at some point, but we haven't.
And I started thinking about that, and I said to
myself today, you know, I think that's actually a really

(38:35):
cool thing that I thought. I'm sure a lot of
people felt the same way that yeah, I would have thought,
for sure, yeah we had somebody.

Speaker 3 (38:40):
Didn't somebody else? Do games here?

Speaker 5 (38:42):
Do we have this?

Speaker 3 (38:42):
Did we have this?

Speaker 5 (38:43):
Do we have this?

Speaker 1 (38:43):
Like we would have had that at some point, uh
in Major League Baseball and and okay, so it didn't
seem like it was that big a deal until you
think about it, goes oh no, no, this is okay,
this is gonna be the first one. All right, Yeah,
we haven't had it in ice hockey yet, but it
goes to Jen Walter right in coaching in the National

(39:05):
Football League and a number of women that have coached
that you bridge that again, I would have thought we
would have had a female umpire. Now she's been in
the minor leagues about a decade on was a high
ranked official in the fast pitch leagues before that. But yeah,
long time coming and getting her shout this weekend. So

(39:27):
but to your point, yeah, I would have thought we
broke that a long time ago.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (39:31):
Really, I said, oh, okay, this is the first thing,
because when I saw the headlines, I'm like, oh, that's
pretty cool. First one since no first what wait?

Speaker 3 (39:38):
Wait?

Speaker 5 (39:39):
What?

Speaker 3 (39:39):
Wait?

Speaker 5 (39:39):
What?

Speaker 1 (39:40):
And really I sat back for a few minutes and
actually said to my wife. He said, Okay, if I
said this to you, I said, have we had we've
had an umpire. If I asked if we had a
female major league umpires before, she would say yeah. I
think the average person thinks that this was already broken through,
and it's great that it's being broken through. But I also,
I really I think it's a great thing that when
you think, oh, we've we've already had this happen right, Like,

(40:02):
it's not it's not a headline anymore, that that we
think this is that big a deal and it is
great and it's awesome for the sport and it's all.

Speaker 3 (40:09):
The way around.

Speaker 1 (40:10):
But just the fact that I would say we would
have had it by now, all right, I think that's
pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (40:14):
We can get to that next level. And it's Welter
Walter's a coach in college. So but either way, the
boint being that, you know, we we've broken that barrier
a number of times.

Speaker 1 (40:23):
So if I had a coach in college, I would
call it Welter Walters. Nice, Welter Walters.

Speaker 3 (40:27):
Where do you go?

Speaker 1 (40:28):
I go to Welter Walter's where hyphen atd Welter Walters, Uh,
Welter Well we high favor with the like Welter Walters,
Welter Walter, Welter Williams walters.

Speaker 3 (40:39):
You got the Williams in or and they would be
the waves. The Welter Walter Walter waves, it's a lot
of alliteration. The Welter Walter Williams waves, I'm a wave.
You're really making things difficult on your play by play. Oh,
the Welter Walter william waves, win it. It's a mouthful
wait win it with a with a windmill dunk the

(41:00):
windmill walk off? Oh? Who Walter win Joe Windmill win.
Now we're getting donuts involved.

Speaker 1 (41:07):
And Joe DiMaggio, Richard Nixon stud to Baker Television, North Korea,
South Korea, Marilyn Monroe and so it goes exit out
about a Fresca exit swollen dome.

Speaker 3 (41:17):
Coming up next. One thing we thought was.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
Banned from the NFL forever turns out to not be banned.

Speaker 3 (41:24):
Can you smell what I'm cooking? That's next?

Speaker 1 (41:27):

have to have some kind of cosmetic surgery to repair
the gash in his cheek after breaking up a fight
a training camp practice earlier today. Joining us on the
hot line now to break it all down. Longtime NFL
insider check him out on the thirty third team. He
is a Pro Football Hall of Very Good voter. It

(42:13):
is the aforementioned Jason call What's Happened to j Cole?

Speaker 5 (42:19):
So would Toy Story be in the Hall of Fame
of Kids Movies? Oh?

Speaker 3 (42:24):
Sure, absolutely, Toy Story Hall of Fame? I mean even
the third one is one of the finest sequels ever made.

Speaker 1 (42:31):
Yeah, first ballot, first ballot, Hall of Fame or Toy Story?

Speaker 5 (42:35):
Okay, just wanted to know, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (42:37):
Little murmat like if you.

Speaker 5 (42:40):
Johnson?

Speaker 3 (42:40):
Oh Whatody Johnson in?

Speaker 4 (42:42):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (42:43):
In the in the Disney Pixar Toy Story Hall of Fame.

Speaker 3 (42:47):
Sure, he's like a cartoon character, so that works.

Speaker 1 (42:53):
Oh hey, remind me off the ear I want to
text you something about what, hey Johnson, Trust it's fine, Uh,
I would say.

Speaker 5 (42:59):
If you have heard some very I heard some very
funny stories about Woody Johnson on the Jets today is
I can't Unfortunately I can't repeat. So I'm just teasing
you on that.

Speaker 3 (43:09):
Wow, you can't just tell one story.

Speaker 5 (43:15):
It's a little too fresh. I gotta I gotta get
it confirmed. So I mean, I I know, I know,
I know it's true, but I don't want I don't want.
I know, I don't really want to for somebody under
their bus when they're just getting started in their jobs.
So that probably probably probably why was it what he was?

Speaker 1 (43:36):
What he Johnson one that hit Mike Rabel breaking up
the fight at training camp.

Speaker 5 (43:40):
Today, There's there's no question about it was.

Speaker 3 (43:49):
You know.

Speaker 1 (43:50):
I love if you said, Hey, what coach would go
in to a scuffle in training camp and come out
bloody and have his players say, Wow, that was awesome.
Mike Rabel's at the time top of the list.

Speaker 5 (44:01):
M Dan Campbell's Jim Harbaugh han't.

Speaker 3 (44:07):
I don't know how I think he'd instigate at this point.

Speaker 5 (44:09):
I don't think not John, not John, but Jim would.
Jim definitely would do that. Jim was a guy who
is like on Christmas Eve when you're at Stanford, was
had them in full pad workout, hitting and the fight
started and he was like overjoyed that they were having
a fight on Christmas Eve. It was off. Yes, he would,

(44:33):
he would jump into a fight about it.

Speaker 3 (44:36):
Married Christmas doll.

Speaker 5 (44:41):
I love the toughness of my team. They will, They'll
go down to Chimney for me.

Speaker 2 (44:47):
I know it.

Speaker 3 (44:51):
Yeah, there you go, the fighting Patriots.

Speaker 5 (44:53):
Man.

Speaker 3 (44:53):
They got they got to going on in training camp today.

Speaker 5 (44:56):
Yeah. I count preferred Baltic's way of handling fights. He
just kick guys out out of practice and say, yeah,
we don't do that. This is game in games. If
you get in a fight, you get a personal value,
you get kicked out of game. We don't do that.
So you get kicked out of practice and you have to,
you know, pay the consequences for getting in a fight

(45:19):
and getting kicked out of practice, which is probably a
fine to go with it. So I kind of like
that way of doing it. But I do have an
appreciation for Rabel and what a tough guy is, So
I have some Rabel stories with Belichick, but I absolutely
can't share on this. The FCC would not allow that. Okay, escalated,

(45:41):
They're they're fun, they're fun, they're funny stories, they're they're
you know, Rabel saying, coach, what were you saying about that?
You know that kind of line, you know, like you
get under bel chicks in a little bit stuff there.

Speaker 3 (45:53):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (45:54):
And I do think you're saying that the Belichick's throwing
people out of practice and take care of them. That's
a pre twenty twenty Belichick. I don't think that's a
post twenty twenty Belichick. I don't think so.

Speaker 5 (46:03):
No, it's no, it's always been a Belichick. Then bell check. No,
that's that's that's consistent. Okay. I would I would argue
on that one. He he believes in guys keeping their
cool in the middle of the games.

Speaker 3 (46:16):
Okay, all right, well I brought.

Speaker 5 (46:17):
You on a serious note. You know, I'm like, say,
you know, the owner of the Cowboys who can't seem
to keep this cool about the fact that he blew
it with and he's trying to explain away this negotiation.

Speaker 1 (46:32):
So he looked me in the eye and we shook hands.
That's a contract, just so you know. And when you
look look me in the eye, and it's as good
as sign.

Speaker 5 (46:41):
When I'm negotiating with you, which is the illegal and
against the rules. But hey, I don't say anything right now,
because you know what they just had some guy who
was the screen actors deal. He didn't know anything about football.
He didn't know the rules. He doesn't know that I
can't talk to a player, but talking to his agent
that's against a collected bargain in agreement. He didn't know

(47:04):
any of that kind of stuff. So I'll just talk
about it openly and nobody will do anything to me.
Nobody won't take take away nothing from my cowboys. It's great.
It's it's unbelievable what they're getting away with. Like you're
not like it's in the CBA. You're not supposed to
do this, and he's talking about it openly. You're not

(47:29):
supposed to negotiate with a player if he has representation.
It is absolutely one against the rules. Them allowed to.

Speaker 3 (47:36):
Look somebody in the eye and shake their hand.

Speaker 1 (47:39):
I could look him in the eye and shake their hand,
and that you know, in the old days, that's the contract.

Speaker 5 (47:43):
But before I looked him in the eye, I said
I was good with forty million rather than the forty
eight that you really deserve. Because I had to talk
about that before I could look him in the eye
and assume that I had a deal. You know, we
did have to do some talking before where the heck
there was there was a little bit of that, and
he was good with me, you know, selling him short

(48:06):
on the deal. He was fine with that. He was
absolutely fine. He didn't say nothing about his representation. You know,
I didn't even know we had an agent, even though
it was on his last contract. I don't know. I
don't know these things.

Speaker 3 (48:19):
See plausible deniability as established by Jason Cole, so you
gotta have.

Speaker 5 (48:29):
It's just it's just the criminals just getting away with
everything right in front of our face. Admit the crime, Like, oh, yeah,
I took all that money, But you're not really going
to do anything to me, are you. I guess not,
because that's what happens.

Speaker 3 (48:47):
Well, I mean, I read the news. There's a lot
of that going on. He's Jason Coles saying we're gonna
leave that right where it is and leave that sitting there.

Speaker 5 (48:55):
I'm not I'm not going anywhere, but that's true.

Speaker 3 (48:57):
Yeah, we're gonna leave that right there. Let's continue in
the NFL another We'll talk about head coaches being tough
guys and whatever they say.

Speaker 5 (49:04):
Go.

Speaker 3 (49:05):
Let's go up to Pittsburgh. Aaron Rodgers saying I'm ready
to play in the first preseason game. If Mike Tomlin
says so not. Hey, I'm a forty one year old quarterback.
I might want some extra reps with the guys, but
I'm gonna leave it up to coach. But I'm ready
and I'm game. It's all his decision.

Speaker 5 (49:20):
Yeah, and you're a forty one year all quarterback. You
can just get take a seat over there, thank you.

Speaker 3 (49:24):
Okay, but I wanted to play. I was good with it.

Speaker 5 (49:29):
That's good, that's great. Go sit out. Yeah, don't even
give him shoulder pads before the game. The helmet, leave
it back behind, okay, it doesn't. Don't even take the
helmet off the truck. Don't. Don't do it.

Speaker 1 (49:44):
What about smelling salts? Can I take the smelling salts
off the truck?

Speaker 3 (49:47):
Or no?

Speaker 1 (49:47):
What if you bring your own smelling sauce? No, you
bring b yoss, bring your own smelling salts.

Speaker 5 (49:53):
Hey, that is what that's what this league is about.
The yoss That is absolutely what this league is about.
You have to bring your own. If you're going to
mess up your mind and hide your concussion syndrome symptoms,
that's up to you to do that on your own.
We will not supply it, but we don't say anything
about you not doing it.

Speaker 3 (50:12):
Yes, Plausible deniability the word.

Speaker 5 (50:17):
That's what this whole That's what the entire NFL season
is about.

Speaker 3 (50:23):
It's gonna be videotape and every one of those equipment. Guys, see, hey,
he brought it to us, We bagged it, tagged it,
and it is.

Speaker 5 (50:32):
We didn't touch any of those footballs. I swear we didn't, Okay.

Speaker 1 (50:38):
NFL insider Jason call our guest, the Jason Smithster with
Mike Harmon, live from the Fox Sports Radio studios. All Right,
so with all this stuff going on, is a big
mystery over how healthy Matthew Stafford is. He's not today.
It was Hey, it's a week to week injury and
the Rams expect him back for week one.

Speaker 3 (50:57):
That's a big thing.

Speaker 1 (50:57):
Jay called here, Hey, is a week to week injury, okay,
in the early part of August. But to hear, we
expect him back for week one. That's a little bit
of a wait what you expect him back for week one?

Speaker 3 (51:06):
Hang on a.

Speaker 5 (51:06):
Second, yeah, I mean when you look at quarterbacks like this,
how many downs did they get during the preseason anyways? Zero? Right,
so he's getting zero and we think he has a
little bit of an injury or oh yeah, he's completely
healthy and he's getting zero reps anyway, So what's the

(51:27):
I mean, what what's sort of the difference? I mean, like,
he's an old guy. If he's got a back injury,
you know, just leave it alone, let him, let him
get as healthy as possible, because they have they have
to have him if they're going to be competitive. I mean,
he's the only thing that that you know, saved them

(51:47):
for basically the second half of last season, right, I
mean he was. I mean, obviously Nick who is a
good player. They have a lot of mileage out of
a lot of other guys, But Stafford was Stafford. If
not for Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen putting on some
just unbelievable show, Stafford played envy E caliber football. You know,

(52:08):
in any other season he would have been up there
in the race. He just he was overwhelmed by those
two guys and you know, to a certain extent Derrick Henry.
But I mean he was amazing and he's the reason
they almost beat Philadelphia in the playoffs. I mean him
by himself because he knew how to handle what they
were going to throw at him. So I don't care
if he plays a single down at this point in time,

(52:31):
given that he's been with the team for a while. Now,
am I worried about the intrue? Sure, because he's old.
He's just old, and that's what happens. So that's why,
just like with Aaron Rodgers, go sit over there. Just
sit over there, don't. We don't need to see you
until week one. Go sit over there. That's what you

(52:51):
gotta do.

Speaker 3 (52:51):
I'm ready for Jimmy Garoppolo time. Hey, let's go back
to Cleveland where they now have at least.

Speaker 5 (52:57):
Jimmy was how many players was going to Garoppolo forget?
From the huddle to the Linus Krimmage.

Speaker 3 (53:04):
I told you that story, right, yeah, oh yeah, yeah,
that was a good one.

Speaker 5 (53:08):
Yeah, that's my favorite one. How many times it's such
a bream dead ever, I mean really nice guy, you know,
sweetheart of a guy, and good looking, like I mean,
you've got to give it to that guy like that.
We should we should all have. We should all have
like one day when we look like Jimmy Garoppolo. Just
one day, That's that's all you need. But man, that's

(53:30):
an amazing thing. So but yeah, he's not not the
body's fault in this in the drawer.

Speaker 3 (53:36):
Okay, neither are the Browns. They've got five quarterbacks working fine,
fantastic five. Now five guys are going to.

Speaker 5 (53:42):
Start now they have Yeah, and we and we have
we updated the betting order of when they will play?
Have we done that? I mean? Because what this is like,
it's not trifact, it's not you haven't boxed it. What
happens when you get the five? It's not a five fact?

Speaker 4 (53:57):
Is?

Speaker 3 (53:58):
What is it? It's a it's a four pofecta. Now
I don't know it's a.

Speaker 5 (54:02):
It's a quintup be careful.

Speaker 3 (54:05):
Well, it's a superc.

Speaker 5 (54:07):
Stuff here. Five.

Speaker 3 (54:09):
I think it just gets still five.

Speaker 1 (54:11):
Oh no, pick five. I think somebody owns that though
you can't use.

Speaker 3 (54:14):
That term, but should Sanders is going to get the start, Jacob,
what are you looking for?

Speaker 5 (54:22):
Survival? No? I want to see if the guy. I
want to see the guy in the lights. I want
to see if he processes fast enough and take some
shots and and uh, I just want to see the
normal kind of rookie stuff out of him. And I
hope that people are not too breathless in their evaluation

(54:43):
of a young quarterback. I want to people, I don't
feel bad for Schadre. You know, he he got what
he bought. And I don't know that he's all that
good either, right, Like when I watch him, when I
watched him of Colorado, was like, Hey, he's a good
college quarterback. I don't know that he's particularly special. Did

(55:05):
you get punished a little bit by the NFL? Probably,
But at the end of the day, like we need
good quarterbacks. So I hope he's good. I hope he's
really good. And Cleveland needs a good quarterback because God
knows you, Like, do you put those five guys together,
I don't know that you have more than Jimmy Garoppolo
at this point in time.

Speaker 3 (55:24):
Really, he voltroned him and still came up with the
Jimmy g cop.

Speaker 5 (55:29):
Right, Like, if you took those five guys together, you
still don't get one decent quarterback. Like you just don't.
It's not possible. No it is.

Speaker 1 (55:39):
You know, you put them together, you get one super
quarterback out of all the body parts of them, you
get one super quarterback.

Speaker 5 (55:44):
How tell me? How tell me which part becomes the
super quarter Okay, so you have Joe Flacco's arm, which
is not ain't good anymore, but you know he's had
his moment.

Speaker 1 (55:56):
You got your door Sanders toughness. Okay, you have Kenny
Pick It's giant hands.

Speaker 5 (56:01):
And uh okay, so we're now we're not doing the
inverted version of the voltron.

Speaker 3 (56:10):
And Dylan Gabriel is short.

Speaker 5 (56:13):
Yes, you have Dylan Gabriel's incredible height. Yes, I look again,
you put it all together, and you don't have a
decent quarterback. That's you know, like that's what their room is.
And that's why you came up with a really great
bets mess, Like what order are these guys gonna play
this year? Because they're all gonna play because they all

(56:35):
suck and all terrible.

Speaker 3 (56:36):
And now we got five. Now, we got five.

Speaker 5 (56:40):
Now now and now we have hunt Like, oh man,
how many guys they get to keep? Like if you
have that group, how many guys do you keep on
the practice squad? Do you keep like two on the
regular season roster. And see the thing about is you
can cut any three you want and you can still
get them back on the practice Somebody once any of us.

Speaker 1 (56:58):
Five on the active ross here for every game, five
active for every single down, Yes, for every game. You
can go short on special teams, man, you had five active.
I told me last week they're going to the super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (57:14):
You're not even going short of special teams. Like, you
don't even have a nickelback. You can't cover a five
wide formation. That's what. Oh my god, that's fantastic. I
love that.

Speaker 3 (57:27):
He's on Twitter. Jason Cole sixty two. Jason Cole sixty two,
barn what.

Speaker 1 (57:33):
He's round up?

Speaker 5 (57:34):
Jordan loves how easy.

Speaker 3 (57:37):
I'll text him hit my buddy, take it easy man.
