(00:59):

it's something that everybody is just I think blown away
by when when it comes to seeing it and seeing
what happened. And our job tonight is to take you
away from that. We'll give you a little bit of
a alternative programming here Fox Sports Radio talking about sports
(01:19):
and everything else. And so just till you know, tonight,
some extra special doses of fun as we talk sports
and and get ready for Week two in the NFL,
which begins tomorrow night. Extra grab ass, No, no two
ways about it. I like that extra grab ass. I
like extra grab ass is a good thing. Yeah, because
I mean I do have a big ass. I do you.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Know what you always wanted?
Speaker 1 (01:42):
You just I always wanted when I was when I
was young, like Junkyard dog wrestler w w E, Hey,
I had a big ass too, and he had the
word thump on his ass when he in the ring, Like,
and I was like, I want a pair of tights that,
let's say thump on the back and I would wear them.
And like I always had this thing where I could
wear them pull that off, like at a some sort
(02:04):
of party or whatever. I just wanted the tights to
wear I have thump on the back. Like, yeah, that's right,
a thump thump thump. Yeah, you're a long time successful
media person. You could pull that off. Yeah, never had it.
Why would you not do that? Why didn't you treat
yourself well what I didn't know how to get it.
This is like that's easy, I mean in late yeah,
but now I got to go to him and say, hey,
(02:25):
you got to got extra payers that would fit me?
Speaker 2 (02:26):
I mean, I mean.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
He also had the great song off the wrestling album
called grab them Cakes Little I'm a little stocky in there.
I'm a little stocky right ready to.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Go remember grab them kings. That's all you do exactly.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
I actually got one of those Goren hats right that
has the patch with the animal on there, and they
had a monkey on there with his ass showing it
said cake okay, all right, tight, color looks like a confection.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
All right.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
I would want a piece of cake with that.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Make that happen.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
Yeah, my daughter's birthday over the weekend, so I mean
there will be some sort of cake. There will be fine,
There will be cake. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Yeah today, Extra grab ass.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yeah, extra grab bass extually. I like the extually and
could I get an extra grab ass with that? Please
think around. I also have to start the show tonight
apologizing to Alex Tischer because I because and this is me,
and boy, this this is me, and this is I
can tell the kind of person that I'm that I'm becoming.
Uh so tonight you won't.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
I got a tight sat pump on and that's it,
you are. I want to commit them to the bit.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
I got up here a little early because I was
running errands and I was gonna, am I gonna go
back home. My wife and I going to go out
to dinner. And I was like, ah, should I come back?
And we were like, you know what, I'm already halfway,
So I said, just I'll just come in to work early.
So I command, and I'm gonna go to a Blue Dog,
which is which is right up the road from us
here to to have look because.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
I'm here early, right a tasty berger.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Yeah. So I go, well, here's what and this is
what I'm apologizing for, is because I go in. Tyger goes,
you're here early? I said, oh yeah, I just had
a couple of errands run going up these Where you going?
I'm going to Blue Dog? He goes, oh, we do
we fake? We're bringing back fries? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Sure, what kind of just just to order of fries.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
I'm like, all right, great, So I said, oh, I'll
bring back two waters because I know Frostburg likes him too.
I'm like, all right, well I'll bring back three, so
I'll bring one back for you.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
I'm like, all right, great.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
But I go up there and you know, watching the Mets,
which they lost the night seventy five to two, which
is a game I told I saw I should have
put Zoe's tuition for college. You actually told me that
last night as we were leaving, were like, it'll be
another loss. We are going to get boat raced tomorrow.
And that's what happened. So I'm watching, Oh my god.
So I finished eating, and I pay, and I go out,
and I'm walking back down and getting ready to open
the door to walk back in, and I go, I
(04:21):
forgot the fries. Did you buy them?
Speaker 3 (04:23):
No?
Speaker 2 (04:24):
I didn't.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
I forgot you just first came in. I forgot to
have for them, So you still have the disrespect to
come in. So what you're saying is at seven oh
five and change here on the West Coast, there will
be in order for some sort of fries to be done.
My point is that if you forgot the fries, you
should have just went home. You don't. You don't come
here without the fries. Okay, all right, I could I
(04:44):
could have done that. You were happy when you told
me I was not happy.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
I forgot. Okay, it's not like, oh hey dude, I forgot.
I didn't like that. I didn't lock your car and
I left the keys.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Wait wait, my bad forgetting your fries than he claimed
I was with the Bear's loss. Oh no, you were
way happier with the Bears loss was different.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
You were on it. You know, I said you were
on a No, Harmon was on a.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
Different Lineman was just like one of those things where
it doesn't hit you yet.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Yeah, it's on a different level.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
But you knew you were walking back halfway like, oh,
I forgot his fright. I'm the horse is gonna kick
him in the head at some point, just not yet.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
I'm sorry, I forgot. The Harmon was in denial. You
just in there.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
No, I forgot. I forgot. That's really you're gonna go
with that. I did fourth grade?
Speaker 2 (05:29):
I did.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
And you know, do any of my wife to call
him to say, oh no, completely, that's on brand, Fraim, now,
completely forgetting something like that. Hundred percent Bear was one
time the.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Mad hotline might start ringing the maddest.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Like I told you, I live with my grandparents growing
up right, and my grandfather it was like it was
like he was the general and I was the army,
right like that. That that's how it was growing up, Right,
the maddest he and he would get mad at me,
like every day, right, the maddest he ever got at me.
And I'll still never forget that. So my grandmother goes,
I don't know how because my grandmother was like Switzerland, right,
Like she was like, you know, I don't want to
(06:00):
try to keep the out. Yeah, she's trying to keep
everybody had day to day and day to day.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Get him on, get him to college.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
Get him out, you know, let's go. Let's get him on,
get him over, get him in. Right, She's like, but
she said to me at the end, she says.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
I don't know how to help you after that.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
And I felt so bad. So it's a Friday night
and I'm excited because I'm going out to We're going out.
There's a party. Right, it's my junior senior year in
college in high school. I forget what it is and
we're going to a movie and a party something else.
And it was like me and my two best friends
and like three or four girls. I was like, oh,
this is good, and we're going to park, like I'm
so excited. So I'm sitting We used to go out
the side door all the time, not the front door.
(06:35):
So he's sitting at the side door to go out,
and I'm putting my shoes on, and I'm sitting at
the at you know, a little bench that they had
up next to the next to the door, and my
grandfather's sitting at the kitchen table. And it's like my grandfather,
you know, he was eighty year old Italian, sitting at
the kitchen table after dinner, no shirt on, reading the newspaper, right,
So that's what he was. And I'm getting ready to go,
and my friend's coming to pick me up. He's gonna
(06:55):
be here at like five minutes, not even, And he goes,
so what's going on? I said, we going the movies.
I'm going to party. Okay, how are you getting it?
I said, Carrie's coming to get me. Uh, We're going, okay, okay,
all right, right, hey, take the garbage out with you
when you go.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
Sure.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
And all I had to do was pick up the
garbage and put it in the in the bin. As
I walked out, it's it, And I said, yeah, sure,
no problem. He goes all right, all right, great. Not
thirty seconds later Carrie comes down and he beeps the horn. Great,
up out, I leave, go out to the party, go
out to the movie, party, everything.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
I'm coming home.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
And I get home and it's did you forget the
fries when you got home?
Speaker 2 (07:27):
It's one thirty in the morning.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
I remember it's one thirty because the light is on,
and I'm like, okay. They never never. I never had
a curfew in in high school. But they just trusted
me to come home like for a round two. And
I did well, and I did well in school, so
it wasn't like, oh, you gotta you know, we have
to punish you or anything. And my grandparents they were
again they were eighty. They were like, you know, we
were not gonna stay up. I was like, I didn't know. Now.
(07:50):
If I had known that that's what it was, I
would have even had more freedom, Like they're not gonna
stay up until By the way, they were always up.
They were just sitting bed at nine o'clock at night. Jason,
big question for you. Yeah, did Pop stoor Handle have
a sock on it when you got on the tube. Yeah,
Graham and Pop would get for Ricky with you. So
so I see the light is on in the kitchen
(08:12):
and I go, oh, okay, well maybe my grandmother's not
feeling good, or maybe my grandfather could have to make
a sandwich. I don't know. And I go in and
I walk in, I walk in the house. I sit
there and I go, hey, hey, Pop, and he's staring
at me, and I'm like, Okay, I don't know what's
going on, but I am not in a good I
(08:33):
don't have a good opinion of me in this house
right now, and I don't know what it is. And again,
this is now like it's seven o'clock. This is like
eight hours, like you know, six and a half hours later.
Color commentator, I want to be sitting in the corner
going stock down on Jason Smith right now, we're about
to find out mel Kipe when all went down, you
mel Kiper would say, he's falling through the first round.
He used to be a or I would be I'd
(08:53):
be the team that Hey, they were number three in
the latest eight peopole and I couldn't get that voter
from SoCal News to keep me in the top ten.
So I'm falling down.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
Is discipline.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
And he says to me and he says, he's welcome back,
and I said thanks, and I'm sitting here going is
he worried that I was drinking? Is this and that?
Speaker 3 (09:12):
Like?
Speaker 1 (09:12):
What's going on? I go, hey, you start touching your
nose instinctive No, no, no, no, because I could tell it's
not it's something. And I'm saying, I go, I go,
I go, uh, what's going on? He goes, I've been
up since you left. And I go, uh, okay, he
is because I because I told you take the garbage out?
(09:35):
Did you take the garbage out? And right away it's
like my whole body. We only get that wave of
tired that comes over and you go ooh, I gotta
go to bed, or that wave when you're feeling sick yo, ooh,
I'm sick. That wave the garbage because immediately everything clicked
in my head. He told me to take the garbage.
It was like ten seconds after he told me that.
I left and I didn't take this story. He doesn't
get you off the hook, And I'm like, no, but
(09:57):
what I'm saying is that I don't feel any worse
for you. But what I'm say saying is that this
is something that's on brand for me, so I want
you to know it. That was also like one hundred
years is not done on purpose. In other words, he
has he hasn't improved, and he just he just laid
into me for like ten what the hell else had
you been doing tenuta?
Speaker 2 (10:14):
I would not do it at that point, you know,
to get Grandma.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Not to be a broken record of you don't listen
you know you yeah, yeah, yeah, me all the time
and you don't listen, and its and it's all and
it's all stuff that that I'm like, okay, I get that.
Sometimes I do that, but it's not like, let's have
a proportional response to It's not like I yeah, yeah
when you say stuff like don't drink and drive, or
you just say when you when you say don't you know,
don't don't cheat on tests or something like yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
(10:41):
Like okay, I get that sometimes that happens, but it's okay.
I forgot to take the garbage out like I did,
and I'm sorry for but it was it was ten
fifteen minutes. And every time you get mad at me,
it's all my shortcomings, no matter how much in the
past they were, and then when you were eleven, I'm going, oh,
this is one of those times. Okay, And he would
tell me this this and I just sit there and
take it. I'm just like okay, okay, okay, and it's
(11:03):
like it was. It was like five days before he
really even talked to me again because I forgot to
take the garbage out. So understand, like this like doing this.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
This is something.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
What I'm saying is it's not it's not personal. It's
not something that yeah, I don't listen to you or
I don't like ven years.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
I'm worried by this.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
I think I need more ging go below before whatever
it is to help your you know, take right, Like
that's what it is like. So I'm sorry, I'll talk
to you in five days. That's I hope the Jets
get drummed by forty this week. Ty Shirt's done with
you until Monday night. After what do you have to
hope stuff like that probably gonna happen, Like it's cool, Well,
he just wants to be able to put it on
(11:42):
record that he got that prediction. Think at your house
the code maybe he maybe he wasn't talking about what
you think. He was not the little garbage your house.
Did you record the Mets game? Yeah, taking of the garbage. Uh.
He would always ask me because he never knew how to
run the VCR. I was the only one to do
and he would get mad if I had to record
(12:02):
the Mets on the when you had to record it
on a longer play over his show? So the video, No,
he did did. He only had a handful of shows
that he watched. But like, if I'm recording the Mets
game for him, like when you had to record when
it was you could record it on two hours and
you got the best the best version, or you cared
on six hours it looked bad. H Yeah, well this
isn't good. This isn't good quality. Yeah, but Pop, I
gotta go to the six hours because the game goes
(12:24):
more than three hours.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
But I don't.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
I don't want to watch if it's like this, I go,
what do you want me to do? I don't know,
figure something out, Like there's nothing to me to figure out. Well,
I mean I can I can use the tape at
two hours and you're gonna get great video, but the
game's gonna end in the sixth inning. Or I could
record it at at four six hours and where you're
gonna get the whole game, but it's not gonna be
a great quality.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
It was my.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
Fault like that, that was my fault to do that.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
The only way that you'd be able to get and
get away with that is if you had your own
personal doctor Watson. Yeah, and you trained a monkey to
be able to change me to change that tape in
the VCR. Yeah, that was Yeah, that was my usefulness
in the house once the once the because they never
mastered the VCR. Once the VCR went out of when
(13:09):
when people stopped using it, like my usefulness around the
house like like was cut in half because suddenly it's like, well,
we don't watch, but we'll just watch on Kate now
because then cable blew up. Yeah, but think about where
we're at now. My kids have learned how to drive.
I'm completely Oh yeah, yeah, you're done that. I mean,
I you're still cook well yeah pretty well yeah, Yeah,
you got to cook more now less driving more cooks, Yeah,
(13:29):
talk less, smile more. That's what it is. Yeah, so
talking here, I don't even bother anymore. That's on me
for the fries. That's my it's my fault and I
for that. Yeah, and water's wet. But just but just
know that like I had a tough life.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Man, I had a tough life. The whole listening thing,
I mean that that's nothing new.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
This doesn't mean it doesn't get you off the hook
at all. And the thing is is when I first
met Pam at first my wife and she was like,
I can't get over. So because I was, I was,
You're not. I'm stalling because they're getting delivered. No is
that she would say to me, I can't get over.
And my grandmother would say this to you. She would say,
I get all the numbers and all the all the
(14:09):
all the numbers you know for your sports, and you
can't remember stuff like taking the garbage out of Pam
would say to me, what you do the control freak
you are in in in doing the show and knowing
what to say what not to say, And then I
could say something to your face and you nod your
head and then ask me a minute later, what did
you just say. I'm like, yeah, that's my gift. That's
(14:30):
my gift.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
I feel seen, that's my.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
Gift in life. Sorry, what did you say? Okay? I
got it?
Speaker 2 (14:40):
What we got out of that extra grab ass with
a side.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
Well, if you guys want get me, I'll get you
some fries. Did you say something, I'll get fries for
everyone's shooting. Did you say something like.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Well, here's what I'm envisioning. There's burgers. No, No, it's fries.
Older you guys, you buy your own burger and there's
recip for all.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
No, you get your own fries. You get your own fries.
Right past the Ronsei likes fries too. I'll get fries
from but that's it. No, burg Burger's on your own.
Burger's on your own fries. That's me. That's how it's
gonna go. At University of Maricand Global Campus, you can

I'll pay for fries. I said, I'll pay for.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
Mind talking to me.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
Business fluctuations make running your manufacturing business complex, but staffing
your business doesn't have to be. Let express employment professionals
provide the workforce you need. Go to expresspros dot com
to find the location near you. That's expresspros dot com.
Well I got to first. I would tell you is
I'm a little nervous tonight because this is the longest
(17:23):
are beat. The streak is gone on MLB dot com.
Me and my dad. You'll get to fifty six games,
and you know, fifty seven games, you win five point
seven million dollars. Yeah, and you guys take a couple
of days off now and again. Yeah, yeah, yeah, because
my dad forgets to put the pick in. But we're
at fourteen games now, fourteen and I have Otani tonight,
and Otani did not get on in the bottom of
(17:44):
the first inning. So that's a I got three more
chances for Otani to keep it going because my dad
has made it known that if we like when this
is the longest streak is like if it happens and
it's my pick that doesn't come through, like completely going
to blame me. You're completely gonna blame It's like not
taking out the garbage or not bring it is showy
Otani bobblehead night. Here Blake Snell on the mount but
(18:07):
his Otani bobblehead pitching Otani this time as part of
the year long celebration of well Otani bobbleheads. You did
you do the stats and the deep dive of how
people perform on bibblehead nights, because there have been a
lot of moments where guys, have you know, Homer or yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
But I pitched.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
He's got to come through on his bobblehead night. I
also think against the Rockies, who works for the Dodgers
would have brought Otani bobbleheads for us tonight? Like you
know four bobbleheads, four Otan you brought one bobbles the
one she brought for me? One?
Speaker 2 (18:39):
What who gets it for you?
Speaker 1 (18:42):
What? What about one for all of us?
Speaker 2 (18:45):
That's like that's like.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
A day's pay? What are those things? At this point?
You're not eligible?
Speaker 2 (18:52):
MANSI?
Speaker 1 (18:52):
What if I buy you fries with everybody else? Do
I get the Otani bobble too late? That's got to
be like ten order of fry, one order fries, one
bo It's one for one deal.
Speaker 5 (19:01):
It's like, how long do I keep doing this without
actually talking onto the microphone.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
It was fun seeing you min Its all the way
through like you were Marcel mor So.
Speaker 5 (19:08):
I couldn't jump in two words.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
No that's mine. No for working okay, but what about us?
For for for do you work at the Dodgers?
Speaker 5 (19:21):
No?
Speaker 1 (19:21):
Okay, but we're great people and we're your co workers here, right,
I have lots of great co workers. Is debatable. All
the great things that I've done for you in the past,
all the big things, and what have I done for you?
Speaker 2 (19:30):
Let's let's switch. Let's let's do a list.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
I don't remember anything. I don't I don't remember. I
don't know I remember.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
I'm just standing here with my pockets.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
Her Nana's bobble head dolls were not for me, okay,
they were for people that I know, But that.
Speaker 5 (19:43):
Counts as a favor for you.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
Actually doesn't know these people. Thank you.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
I didn't really give them to them, did you give
them to But I want to tell you I gave
them to my friends this week calling the Dodgers. The
looks that dude, you know, how many do you know
how many Hernana's bobble head dolls? Like probably still have? Yeah,
but they don't go to no, no man. Yeah, I think
I don't know, hundreds of hundreds. They were so happy
(20:09):
when I gave When I gave one to one of
our friends, she screamed, she would and she dropped. She
had popcorn and she dropped it. And did she take
him into the bathroom for this? It was like when
you were a kid and you opened up your big
Christmas present and it was a video game console whatever.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
Yeah, she was.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
It's like, it's all she was like Charlie and the
Chocolate Factory. I got the golden ticket.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
And then a little woman in a Philly's jersey tries
and hill.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
A carriage trying to take it. Yeah, she doesn't know
you did this.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
Yeah, oh ye yeah yeah yah.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
Of course, why is this woman getting a kick bubble head?
I would I would give a bobblehead to Pan, but
she doesn't want to key her Nada's babble. Everybody wants
bobblehead trading in the secondary market with regularity at sixty
five dollars plus shipping. She would she would say, she
would say to me, what about the money, Mike. She
would say to me, if you could get me an
Idris Elba bobblehead I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
that that. But she doesn't want to key Hernandez bobble
(21:00):
that Luther's really good, does not do that's a good show,
does not want it better? And you gave him two
of these no, and I gave yeah, I get to one.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
To each of my friends.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
It was like you were giving out hats again, like
you were a teenager. You know what I did was
I said, here's how I gave it, Here's how I
gave it. Because I was gread. I said, hey, so
her name was Sarah and I said, Sarah, it is
still Sarah.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
Did Sarah smile? Sarah?
Speaker 4 (21:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (21:19):
And I said, hey, I got a question for you
because I got the bob back. Go, who's somebody as
an adult?
Speaker 3 (21:24):
Right?
Speaker 1 (21:24):
We're having this conversation and Pam's look at me like,
what are you talking to?
Speaker 2 (21:26):
Who's someone as.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
An adult that you really looked up to? That you
that someone say, hey, as an adult like, that's someone
I want to be like and I wanna and I
really want to kind of model myself. After the said
she she goes, you know, I hate to say this,
but all right, it's weird to say this, but you know,
I've always looked up to my husband, who was a
great dude. And I know I'm my husband. I go, no,
(21:48):
the answer is me. And I showed the bob and
she goes you, and she dropped popcorn and and she
held on to it like she was like a kid
getting a blanket.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
It's my lovey.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
I'm so excited. I'm so excited. So I felt so
I felt like Santa Claus.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
There, you're welcome.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
I provided that for you. Yes, I'll take that O
Tommy Bobbleheads, I'll take that as well.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
At local training at one hundred bucks.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
Really wow, So that's like me taking one hundred dollars
from Yeah, yeah it is, I mean not quite a felony,
but for when you add the sentimental value, it would
like I'm pretty sure stealing the mailbox is a felony.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
Well no, no, no, we didn't even go back old
felon on a Sunday.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
I mean, that's still hanging out in the balance all
these years later. There's no post on Sunday. That is
no statue of limitations.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
No, no, no, no.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
You can't go quoting Harry Potter and think you're gonna
get away with that. You're getting a needle if you
if you take a mailbox, try and if you take
a mailbox on a Sunday and return it later on
that Sunday when there's no post, that's not a crime.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
I'm gonna go out on a limit and say you're wrong.
Now I talk.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
It's the mailbox yours I talked to. The mailbox wasn't full,
there's no mail and side. I know Jason's not here,
but I looked it up and it says, yeah, it
doesn't matter. It is a crime if you steal on
the side.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
I appreciate that. I'll pass that word along to it.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
We'll visit that guy. Call the Syracuse police and tell them, hey,
I got something for you from nineteen ninety two. You
might want to look into.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
What is it?
Speaker 1 (23:11):
A cold case? Yeah, really cold case. A guy work
with took a mailbox and then put it back a
couple hours later. Syracuse has police.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
Right, we'll get rid of I should really feel honored here.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
He's more or less equating you with John Cena because
he can't see you. Yeah, that's okay, that's okay.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
I I because I.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
Didn't bring should get I know season Fried, I know
I know, it's very it's a it's a difficult night.
It's not easy to be me every day, Mike Carmen,
I tell you is that it looks like it's all
glitz and glamour and all good times and rock and
roll and sitting by the pool and going out drinks
night with all kinds of hot male models, all kinds
of you know, Uh, we're gonna play one Philly run
(23:49):
for every fray you didn't bring in the night.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
Well over the course. Yeah yeah, how many yesterday?
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Ten yesterday or nine yesterday? Yet a lot of frosts
now as we look ahead two week two in the NFL. Still,
you know, there's still some jurisprudence from week one to
take care of not stealing a mailbox. But Lamar Jackson
today apologized for shoving the Bills fan who hit Deander
(24:21):
Hopkins on the helmet following his touchdown one handed touchdown
catch on Sunday night. And it's a play everybody is seeing,
you know, Here's Hopkins walking along and kind of yacking
it up a little bit, and the fan hits him
in the helmet, and Lamar Jackson says, not not to
my receiver and pushes the guy. Now, there's been no
word of any sort of discipline for Lamar Jackson. Apparently
(24:41):
the fan is okay. He said he hasn't heard anything
and across the NFL and Lamar Jackson said, I apologize
to that fan, but next time, just chill. And I said,
you know, here's the thing is that I look at
this from what happen and I go, yep, that's just
(25:01):
gonna happen again, and it might not be as fun.
It might not be as easy to dismiss next time,
because you know, we've seen it in the NBA so
much where fans want to be a part of it. Now.
I'm not just a part of it yelling at you.
I'm a part of it. I'm a part of it
getting involved. I'm a part of it getting physical. We've
seen this now, like the line between fan and player
is blurred, right, And you could blame social media for
(25:22):
it or because they you know, people have access to
their players more, they could say anything they want to.
People can respond. But you see that now, So you
look at what happened on Sunday and like, Okay, here's
NFL fans who are the most passionate during a game
because it's one time a week and see eight games
a year. I mean, you know, like teams like the
Jets eight games because there's no playoffs, eight or nine
(25:43):
games depending on what your year is for home games.
Now that there're seventeen games on the schedule. But you
see this and now it's just trending that way, and
I can say, yeah, obviously the fans gotta get bad.
You can't touch another player. For the players, I want
to say, why are you walking right along the edge
of the fan in the opposing team stadium and trolling
(26:04):
everyone in egging the month? Why are you doing that?
Why are you putting yourself in a position where something
bad could happen right where I can see both sides
that go yeah, and you're Lamar Jackson, why'd you push
the guy after clearly DeAndre Hopkins was okay, right, Like,
there's enough blame to go around on this. But the
fact remains is that this is just gonna happen again,
and we continue to laugh it off and laugh it
(26:25):
off until it happens where something serious. And the fact
that nothing really serious, like the fact that the the
guys who tried to rip the ball out of Mookie
Betts's hands in the World Series last year kind of
came off as anti heroes. It is really that's the
moment where you where you have to stop and say, Okay,
we're a little out of control with this right we
are a little out of control fans. There's got to
(26:47):
be a line drawn between where the fans end and
where and where and where the field begins. So this
happening right now with with Lamar Jackson and the Bills
found like, yeah, okay, but that's just gonna happen again
because there's gonna be touchdown scored. There's people who try
to jump in the stand People try to jump in
the stands at home, but there's a fan with another jersey.
What's to say, he's not gonna push you or try
to grab your towel or something already already see it.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
Sure, So it's like, you.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
Know, I I feel like this is where it's gonna
happen the most because this is where you have the
most interaction between players and fans. It's after big plays,
it's in the corner of ven zones, it's in the
end zone. It's it's when visiting teams want to shut
the fans up. Because you know all the trash talk
going on. Lamar Jackson even said today, Hey, the trash
talk is all fine, we all hear it's part of
the game. But you know, getting physical going over the
(27:29):
line something you can't do. And he took the blame
on himself as well for that. But that that's like, Okay,
this is it's just gonna continue, you know, I mean,
it's I mean, I wish I had a more of
a different take on this, but sometimes it's just have
to say this is reality and this is what is
and the net We're gonna do more stories like this
as it goes on, because it's not it's not been
(27:49):
tamped down enough. Here's one fan who gets thrown out. Okay,
how about you know, there's got to be some sort
of Eventually, you're gonna have a rule come down where
something serious is gonna happ and a league is gonna
have to say, okay, if that happens, if that happens again, blanketly,
the home team gets penalized. This or this is what happens,
whether it's basketball or baseball or football, whatever it is,
(28:11):
if that happens with a fan, this is the penalty
for the home team, And I don't know why we're
not there, because we should get there and be a
little bit proactive on it. But that's where we're gonna
wind up going with this. Well, we see heavy cash
penalties for rushing the field right in each conference, right,
I think in the SEC this year it's five hundred
grand and others fifty thousand here, one hundred thousand there.
(28:33):
I wouldn't be shocked if at some point we don't
end up in an NHL plexiglass scenario. I mean, think
about how many guys have scored in Green Bay and said, well,
I'm gonna go do the Lambeau leap, you know, to
egg the fans on, and instead of body surfing, they
get ceremoniously dumped back onto the field to play. But
(28:54):
like in this situation with Lamar Jackson, who's to say that,
like as he double shoves that that guy in the chest,
that he doesn't go flying back into the armrest of
that chair or something and suddenly we've got an injury, right,
So it blows to that. You know, I'm not gonna
blame DeAndre Hopkins and the players being that close. That's
(29:17):
the path they pass. And to this point, we haven't
had incident, but yeah, you probably do need to go,
all right, what's the average reach of a six foot
one male or female? And this is where that line
is right, And then we get a guy to draw
a half assed chalk line, as we've seen, because we
(29:37):
laughed a lot over college athletics this last week that
they can't do straight chalk lines, it seems anymore.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
But oh, that's say.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
I mean, we've got people throwing stuff on the on
the field with great regularity.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
I mean, the the neon green trend continues.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
Oh you still have guys, Bobo Baggins continues streaking onto
the field, either literally in the old term or just
running on for their viral moment. You know, the influencers
among us that want their little brief glimpse of fame.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
It's not gonna stop.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
I mean unless one of something really dramatic happens. And
the first thing is you've got to go to netting,
you've got to go to the plexiglass whatever not that
you want to, but it certainly would eliminate these jackasses
and in short order, exit about a fresca exit swollen
down on the Jason Smith Show with my best friend
(30:34):
Mike last point. The fact that nothing happened to Lamar Jackson,
not even a fine, is kind of silly. Yeah, I mean, look,
but in a league that's trying to be so proactive,
sure of, hey, we we protect the fan, but if
we can't have a bad fit, if the fan doesn't
hit him and that doesn't hit Deander Hopkins in the helmet, Yeah,
there's something for Lamar Jackson, But the fact that he
got hit in the helmet, it's like, Okay, he's trying
to protect this place. Even though it's gone. You should
(30:55):
you shouldn't have done it. It's still something that was
that was thrown out there, instigated. Kind of like why
Jalen Carter didn't get more than the suspension for last Thursday,
because hey, Dak instigated it by spinning at him. The
NFL said, okay, we got it, time served, you're done,
sell Coos.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
Yeah, still should have seen a pink envelope.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
Time not to find out what's trending in the wide
world of sports and someone who's gonna either give me
the Ohoho Tani boll or just lose it sometime over
the course of the night. It's Monty Belanos, man you're just.
Speaker 5 (31:26):
Making stuff up on the radio today, shaking stuff up.
Speaker 2 (31:30):
That's great.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
You're gonna leave to heat up food or something else.
You know, where's that bobble I'm gonna go?
Speaker 2 (31:34):
Hi, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
I don't know. He's gonna lure you. Look out for
the string that's on the end of that fry deal.
Speaker 5 (31:39):
It was like, I can't be lured with food, So
he's not He's not wrong. But just because of this,
let's start with the Phillies and the Mets.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
How about that harmon, let's go.
Speaker 5 (31:48):
I think the Phillies won today eleven to three.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
You're still rounding the basins, Monty.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
Uh yeah. Magic.
Speaker 5 (31:55):
The magic number right now for Philadelphia is seven. They
have a ten game lead in the NL East, is
actually their biggest since two thousand and one. So Phillies
again win it.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
Today.
Speaker 5 (32:04):
Rangers beat the Brewers six to three. They completed a
three game sweep. Texas is one game back of the
Mariners right now for the final walkcard spot in the AL,
the Mariners are playing against the Cardinals. It's a tie
game in Seattle. Bottom of the third inning, Diamondbacks top
the Giants five to three. Ooels did beat the Pirates
two to one. Paul Skins, though he pitched five innings,
gave it two hits, had eight strikeouts, who has reached
two hundred and three strikeouts for this season. The Tigers
(32:27):
just crushed the Yankees eleven to one, and the Astros
defeated the Blue Jays three to two. Carlos Korera hit
his two hundredth career home run. Other games currently going
on Reds and Pirates in San Diego.
Speaker 2 (32:38):
That's a tig game as well.
Speaker 5 (32:39):
When a piece top of the eighth inning and it
looks like the Dodgers have just scored at Dodger Stadium
upon his RBI double and Dodgers up on the Rockies
one zero.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
It is the bottom of the second inning.
Speaker 1 (32:50):
I believe that was Hernandez bobblehead sacrifice fly.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
Got right? It still.
Speaker 1 (32:58):
The sacrifice fly're right here. Those are in enemy hands.
By the way, don't you give those to a Mets fan?
Speaker 2 (33:05):
Give those two a stop? I did. I did, but
look at what he had.
Speaker 5 (33:08):
Such a good experience from it. NFL News Cowboys could
be without cornerback Jeron Blain for a couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (33:13):
He's a right foot injury. That he suffered in Monday's practice.
He did.
Speaker 5 (33:17):
It's not the foot issue he had last year that
you know limited him to seven games, so that's not
what it is, but he does have a foot issue.
Forty nine Ers head coach Kyle Shanahans's quarterback Brock Party
is a long shot to play in Week two against
the Saints because of toe and shoulder injuries, and the
Packers gave wide receiver Christian Watson a one year extension.
Speaker 1 (33:33):

Speaker 7 (36:41):
Is, Hi fly ball to are right, Soto's going back
toward the Chick fil A sign It is gone bomb Ron,
Bryce Harper, Johnny fifth out the Year for harm towering shot.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
Nine phillies on top.
Speaker 1 (37:11):
Yeah towerlies Yah Phillies.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
Look, I told you that.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
But by the time there's ten games left of the season,
that's gonna be three games out of the floor. That's
to the Jets. That's the Jets now, it's really just
waiting for the Knicks. Now. You hope that Pablo Tore
and his band of merryman that are going through all
the trash bills I don't give a crap deal. I mean, look, hey,
he said he was going for what what are you
gonna do? And what are you gonna do? You know
(37:36):
they're not gonna you canake him away from the next
just can't prove it, but he will.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
Yeah, but I don't care. What are you gonna do?
Speaker 1 (37:42):
Take him off the next? What are you that's not
gonna happen. What are you gonna do? You take him
away from it? That's not gonna happen. It does, you'll
go more or less. So James Silver wants to do nothing.
Speaker 2 (37:52):
He's gonna go.
Speaker 1 (37:52):
I really don't want to. Can we can we just
make sure this investigation goes. So I want to retire
as commissioner. I don't want to do anything. He'll find
James Dolan five million dollars and that'll be it. What
does it matter? Doesn't matter, dude. It's literally they would
have to bring him a box that they open and
it's like the arc of the covenors inside. Hey, Like
that's kind of what we're looking at, or the gold
(38:14):
and whatever was in the briefcase your interpretation and pulp fiction.
So here's my idea for a sport to own a
night during the week.
Speaker 2 (38:24):
Right.
Speaker 1 (38:24):
I was reading today about how, now with all the
stuff going on with the NBA leaving ESPN, Friday nights
is open for more college football. So they're gonna put
more ACC games on. Yay, more ACC football. That's what
we need on Friday. We got we got Cusan Colgate
this week this Friday, let's go. So but that's what
they have the big kickoff coming to Evanston, so you know,
which is still okay, but uh, but the whole thing
(38:47):
is like, okay, all right, so they're gonna get a
CEC games at Belichick's gonna be on. Yeah, everything, Okay.
I understand that it is time for college football to
treat Friday night like the NFL treats Thursday night. Forget
about putting a couple of games on here that might
get you some interest here and there. We've seen that
you put a good game on Friday night and you'll
(39:07):
get between three and four million viewers. Now, if you
put a really good game on Friday night, you'll get
tons of viewers. People will stay and watch Friday night.
I know, for the longest time, college football has always said, well,
we don't want to ruin Friday night football at high school? Yeah,
what about the super sanctity of high school People are
gonna still go to the games. If you're going to
a high school game on a Friday night, you're not
(39:28):
gonna stay home and watch. And more people will stay
home and watch a great college football game than that.
I don't think either one has anything to do with
the other. But it was this excuse that college football
always put out there.
Speaker 2 (39:38):
Oh, you had a literal law that was in place
against the NFL.
Speaker 1 (39:42):
But now, put a big game on Friday night every
week in the regular season schedule. It make it a thing,
make it an honor to play on your playing the
big Friday night game. It's lots of worked to sit
here and say, well, let's put a bunch. We have
like four or five games out here, one top twenty
five team. No, put a big game on every Friday night.
(40:03):
Make it appointment viewing, and college football will own Friday night,
just like the NFL's decided. We're all okay, we're just
owning Sunday. We now own Sunday night, Monday night, Thursday night.
There's not a lot of real estate out there. There's
only seven days during the week, right, and you own
Saturday already. If you're college football, own Friday. Put a
bit every schedule it before the season. Here's the Friday
(40:24):
night college football schedule, and my goodness, would you see
the ratings and money? It's more money, more money for
the schools, more TV contracts. This is an idea that
just has to happen at this point, right, We've we've
gone past that. Well, we want to we don't want
to do this because college because high school football on Friday.
It doesn't matter that people are still gonna go to
those games. People are gonna still stay home to watch
(40:44):
these good games. You put big games on Friday night.
Put one big game a week on. Here's your Friday
Night game of the week, and you can rotate it
between Fox and ESPN. You can charge money. It can
be a whole different package that you that you sell
out by itself. Hey, we're buying the Friday package that
college football is putting out. It absolutely has to happen. Yeah,
I mean we've certainly seen some doozies, you and I
and the years here at Fox Sports Radio on FS
(41:07):
one and Fox through the years. This week you've got
Arizona and case State on Fox to go along with

(42:52):
He's on Twitter at Jason Cole sixty two. He is,
of course a Hall of very Good voter, putting very
good players in the Hall of Fame now for over
twenty years, it is Jason Cole.
Speaker 3 (43:03):
What's happening, man, I've been it's actually been how many
is it twelve years? Yeah, twelve years. I've been playing
Hall of famers in the Hall.
Speaker 2 (43:12):
It was over twenty years.
Speaker 1 (43:13):
I thought, I thought, you're putting players in now twelve
years now.
Speaker 3 (43:16):
It was the first year I did. It was the
year that Warren Sapp went in, So I can't remember
whatever year that was. Warren Sapliner.
Speaker 2 (43:25):
Okay, now you know.
Speaker 3 (43:26):
And then it was decided to be a jerkball and
rag on Mike Straham.
Speaker 1 (43:30):
Oh, you know, I'm glad we got tonight because I
wanted to ask you. We did the story, Yesterda. I
know if you saw this with the college football AP
voter that voted Florida to move up two spots in
the AP poll despite the fact they'd lost to South
Florida and didn't put South Florida in. And she went
on and defended it by saying, Hey, it doesn't matter
how do you vote. There's enough votes that everything evens
(43:53):
out and it doesn't matter where you vote for.
Speaker 3 (43:55):
So who is that voter?
Speaker 1 (43:57):
She works for the Southern California News Group Newsgrouple. Hailey Sawyer, Yeah,
Hailey Sawyer. She put it and we talked about it.
Let's like, wow, that's people like knowing, Yeah, your vote
doesn't count.
Speaker 3 (44:09):
What do you logic we had a good run. Yeah,
that's not that's not strong logic.
Speaker 2 (44:16):
That's what we're saying good things about you last night.
Speaker 1 (44:18):
Whose Hey, you know we have people, you know, luckily,
people that we know here that that that vote for
stuff like the Hall of Fame. Rob Parker votes for
the Hall of Fame and and you know, taking your
vote seriously. Steve Hartman has a Heisman Trophy vote and
I just serious, like what your reaction would be to
that story hearing some would say, yeah, you know, however,
your vote doesn't matter. There's enough votes. It all comes
out in the wash. Even it really doesn't matter. It
(44:40):
doesn't matter in the end. It's all fun.
Speaker 3 (44:44):
Yeah, that's that's not that's that's not good logic.
Speaker 1 (44:48):
That's not tell that to the would be Hall of
Famer that misses my two votes.
Speaker 3 (44:55):
Yeah, that's fine. I was like, yeah, you get next
year's coming around, don't worry about it. Yeah. Yeah, you know,
people will use a lot of justifications for lazy work.
Let's just put it that way. So, yeah, that's Haley
not strong work. So not representing the Southern California News
(45:16):
Group very well.
Speaker 1 (45:17):
What are the what are the odds you could ever
write a book or something of and or or something
where you go inside the room during a Hall of
Fame debate for players, the odd write about it?
Speaker 3 (45:32):
I mean, that's a that's a serious question. The serious
answer is zero. I mean, unless I'm just not going
to do it anymore. And I was to write about it.
And I got to tell you it's not as it's
not that interesting. There are some moments that are interesting, right,
but but it's.
Speaker 1 (45:50):
Like a fictionalized version of it where it's you know,
it's it's you're you're taking from what happened in the
rooms and you're making a fictionalized version of things.
Speaker 3 (46:00):
Yeah, I mean, I want to wear like Paul Karski,
you know, body slammed Gary Myers.
Speaker 1 (46:04):
Yeah, take the draft day for instance.
Speaker 3 (46:09):
Something like that. Put that out on Twitter. Paul Karsky
body slammed Gary Myers year during during the voting. That's
Jason Cole. Let that one out. Don't put that out
there on Twitter and see how that See how that rolls?
Speaker 1 (46:23):
Now it's at Gary Myers.
Speaker 3 (46:29):
Yes, it's just there's a lot of blathering. I gotta
tell you, there's a lot of laughing. We you know,
and like people do their presentations and they work really
hard on the five minute presentation, and but there's a
(46:49):
format that's the same. And there's also like a lot
of very polite disagreement, like this guy just doesn't Now,
there have been some moments and I can speak from
my own experience, you know, last year. Last year when
we were arguing over the guy from the Chiefs who
played during the sixties and seventies, Jim what was it.
(47:12):
I can't remember his name at the moment. Yeah, Like
that was pretty heartfelt and serious. But that was a
very serious case and a very serious situation that needed
to be discussed. But most of the time, it's you know,
you know, you're separating among truly great players, right, I mean,
(47:36):
you know all kidding about Hall of very Good a side.
You know, when you're getting down to fifteen guys, like
there's there's no schmucks in that room, so you have
to but you're it's like sorting out among all the
quotes from all the people who were supporting them and
like trying to figure out, okay, does that mean anything?
(47:58):
Or do I just go straight along the lad Lin
ended up looking at all pros, do I look at championships?
How do I put it all together? And you're working,
you know, you're kind of working the equation on your
head as you go along. But it's not as dramatic
as you think. I just put it that way. I mean,
it's a great discussion, don't get me wrong. And there
are some lively moments. But if you were to talk
(48:20):
about the fact that this lasts eight to ten hours,
not the kind of stuff that makes for riveting reading
in a book.
Speaker 2 (48:28):
Jim Tyre, I believe is the gentleman you were.
Speaker 3 (48:30):
Jim Tyrer was. Jim Tyr was a really difficult case,
you know, because you know, to those who don't remember
from last year, he had probably had CT. We don't
know that he had CT, but you know, he killed
himself and he killed his wife, and he was up
for eligibily last year and as I said, I just
(48:51):
am good conscience. I couldn't vote for him. I just
couldn't do it. And I was, you know, outfront with that,
and it was you know, some other people said similar things.
Other people were more open minded about it. But ultimately
he did not get elected. So that was a very
very serious situation that we had to get into.
Speaker 1 (49:08):
Jason Cole, our guest here at the Jason Smith Show
with Mike rmon here a Fox Sports Radio joins us
each and every week at Jason Cole sixty two, writer
of many books that you can find on Amazon, and
a Hall of Fame voter.
Speaker 2 (49:21):
We're blessed to call him but Fred.
Speaker 3 (49:23):
Including my favorite shut up for your kids. Not that great.
Speaker 2 (49:26):
There you go. I say that to a Smith all
the time.
Speaker 3 (49:30):
Yeah, not as not as well researched as a John
Elway biography, but nonetheless interesting reading.
Speaker 2 (49:37):
I just tell Smith he's not that great.
Speaker 1 (49:38):
But as we get ready for week two, all right,
who's hitting the panic button faster that plunger in Kansas
City or San Francisco?
Speaker 3 (49:48):
Well, Kansas City is more likely, Well, kim City. It's
Kimsey silly, interesting matchup, but k has a chance because
Offull the defense is not right at this point in time,
so that that that gives them a better chance. But
(50:09):
I still think kisides starts out the season h one two
and they're kind of reeling and trying, you know, waiting
for Worthy to get healthy. Yeah, the forty nine ers,
you expect. You sort of expect that rock Perty is
going to miss some time. You didn't you were hoping
it wasn't going to be a week two. But I
wouldn't be panicking about facing the Saints. I would think
(50:31):
you could still have a shot to win that game.
And I know it's Mac Jones, so I probably shouldn't
have said that. But I'll give you know, I'll give
them a puncher's chance in that game. Like, like the
team that really should be panicking is the Dolphins. But
the Dolphins are going to win this week because it's
(50:52):
Sunday at one o'clock and playing a Sunday game in
September in Miami is like, you know, like the seventh
version of Hell in Dante's Inferno. Like it's just it's terrible.
And the Dolphins win like seventy six percent of the
time at one o'clock games and on, you know, in September,
(51:14):
so like they should win that game, but they got
really serious problems with the way that their offenses run
and the way that it operates, and well it didn't show.
Speaker 2 (51:24):
Up for Week one. Jam.
Speaker 1 (51:25):
I mean I know that they should win. So they
showed up, like the seasons literally turned out like McDaniel.
Speaker 3 (51:30):
It's a deeper thing about mcd you know. Look, I
like Mike McDaniel, Like like Chip Kelly, I didn't really
like personally, but Chip Kelly you can look at his
offense and go, yeah, you don't block anybody, at least
when he was in Philadelphia, right, Like, nobody gets blocked,
and that happened, and Philly it happened to San Francisco.
(51:51):
I didn't really watch the Raiders game. You know, i'sak
a few of the highlights, but I didn't really study
what they were doing on offense in the first week.
But you know, has fallen in the same kind of
trap where they don't really hit people. And you know,
you can do all the really fancy extions that know
is all you want and have fun with with, you know,
(52:12):
fast guys and all that that cool stuff, but football
comes down. You have to hit people, and you have
you have to be physical at some point in time.
You don't have to always be the most physical team,
but you have to have a requisite level of being physical,
and they weren't at all in the first game of
the season. And I don't think that that system lends
(52:33):
itself to being physical, certainly in offense, because it's more
about spacing and speed and all these other fun things,
these track me kinds of things that just that just
don't work long term. And that's where I think that
this thing is going to just fail. They're going to
blow up the whole thing. I mean, mcdan be gone,
CHRISTI are really gone to what would be gone. Let's
(52:54):
just start the whole thing over. And I hate to
say that after one week, especially when I think they're
going to win this week, but like long term, like
that just looks like a disaster to me, and it's
been because it's been building this way for the past
season plus.
Speaker 1 (53:13):
But I look at the Dolphins, Jay and I go
and I say, I think they're just done already, Like,
I mean, you don't show up like that for week.
Speaker 2 (53:21):
One, you know.
Speaker 1 (53:21):
I mean that that's the take one of the bad losses.
The Bears had a bad loss, all the bad losses,
that's the worst one.
Speaker 3 (53:28):
I'm not that is the worst loss. I agree, I
agree with that. I mean the you know, the the
Ravens loss is pretty was pretty brutal emotionally, but you
know that, you know that they're good. You know, yes,
it's a bad loss. But I'm just saying that there's
mitigating factors that will allow them to win a couple
of games, because again, the Patriots are going to are
(53:50):
about to go into ninety degree temperatures with you know,
eighty five percent humidity. It is not weather that is
supposed to be free human beings to play football, and
they're going to do that and they're going to be
like I remember watching Ted Washington in a game in
September in Miami, and in the third quarter he just
(54:11):
stood there at one point like there with the ball
was snap and he just stood there. He didn't move,
he didn't go anywhere, he didn't do anything, and Tim
Ruddy and had like they just held each other up like.
Speaker 2 (54:24):
It was a preseason game.
Speaker 3 (54:26):
Yeah, because because Ted, I mean he was like, you know,
God bless Ted, you know, like he's my kind of
player because he's a big, old fat guy like me,
and he was like three hundred and sixty pounds and
like you just tell like his whole body said, we
don't want to be here, don't go anywhere. Just stand here.
Like like his mind may have been telling him, I've
(54:47):
got to go like take a step forward, his body said, no,
you're not going anywhere. And we're gonna we're we are
going to allow Tim Ruddy, who you have rag dolls before.
By the way, Tim Ruddy, you know, we're going to
allow Tim ready to block you because we don't want
to go anywhere. That's what his legs were saying to
him at that moment.
Speaker 1 (55:09):
He's on Twitter at Jason Cole sixty two. That is
at Jason Cole sixty.
Speaker 3 (55:13):
Oh, I'm going to tell you about the Jim when
Jim Harbaugh. Yeah, this is a great one. We got
to go this Jim Harbaugh. It was the only game
I ever played in August. Remember when they opened the season,
like on August thirty first. I think that was like
nineteen ninety eight or something like that. Okay, So they
play at one o'clock game in Miami at one o'clock
and Harbor comes in and he takes him step out
(55:38):
of the game after midway through the third quarter. He
just couldn't go because he, you know, like he had
IVS and everything at halftime and his body locked.
Speaker 2 (55:48):
Up on him.
Speaker 3 (55:49):
So I basically wrote after the game that was no
Moss games, you know, And yeah, he you know, And
because the Dolphins won. Twelve weeks later, they go to
Indianapolis and Indianapolis just torches the Dolphins like forty one
to ten or something like that. And Harbaugh after the
(56:10):
game goes is Jason Cole here, and I didn't go
for a reason. It wasn't because of that, but I
couldn't go for a family reason, right, So I wasn't there,
and they say no, Jason couldn't make it for the game.
He goes tell him that was just Moss, was Jim
(56:32):
so Jim Harbaugh. He couldn't let it go for like reason.
Speaker 2 (56:36):
Look at you, bulletin board provider.
Speaker 3 (56:40):
It was a classic of all time, all right, La
Golon Next week.
