Let's give this you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:29):

(00:51):
way tire buying should be. Well, here we are, Game
four of the World Series. Things getting a little tense
now at Chavez Ravine show held. He has just come
out of the game, giving up a single and a
double off the wall to start the seventh inning, So
the Dodgers' bullpen getting involved the game. The Blue Jays
lead it right now two to one. Top of the

(01:12):
seventh and I gotta say, I think all of us.
I think I speak for every single baseball fan, every
every one of us, every single one of us who
loves baseball. I think we're okay with the nice, boring
two to one game we've had so far tonight?

Speaker 3 (01:25):
How dare you I think we're okay with it? No,
Flas night was fantastic comedy of errors. Yes, the great
defensive plays, the back and forth, Yeah, the one hundred
bullpen trips and substitutions and second guessing, Hey, should he
have pulled this guy off? Yeah, because he was anticipating
he needs his catcher for all eighteen innings? What the

(01:47):
hell are we doing all of that? And then Freddie
Freeman walks it off.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
I mean, come on, everybody, everybody needs a break, even
the biggest baseball fans of the world, Like, Okay, I'm
okay with this being a nice, boring to one game
so far. What's been that we do have one big
thing to tell you about this game? Like, okay, we're
not you know, it's okay. You know Otani actually has
gotten out tonight a couple of times.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
About that.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
I don't know how much the home played umpire likes
show hey Otani batting, couple of questionable calls for him.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Guys, that guy's had a really rough night though, like
high low inside, like there's been no consistency to it
on either side. So Otani keeps looking back at him, going,
I get that one the other half of the inning right, well.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Like I would have been okay if Rob Bamford said, listen,
we are going to give everybody a day off so
we can digest this unbelievable World Series game again. We
talked about the the prison of the moment. Take last night.
Best World Series game since Game six of the eighty
six series with the Mets in the Red Sox, like
that great a game. I think we okay, I think
everybody's okay. It's nice, Bore. It's two to one. Hey

(02:47):
Otani pitched fine, Bieber's pitching fine, there's no big errors,
there's no big ques. Everything. Okay. We need a game
like this. It's why you can't have just seven big,
fast paced songs on an album because they would get lost.
I need a break.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
You got to give me a ballot, give.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
You all you know.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
You give me Welcome to the Jungle, and then you
kick it up with It's so easy and night trained
out to get. Then you gotta, oh, you gotta give
me Paradise City. Then you gotta give me a little
bit of a sweet child of mine. Then you gotta
go back up right, you got, you got, you give
me something. It's the John Cusack situation from High Fidelity. Hey,
can you start out incredible attent, then you kick it
up a notch with a second song. People can't believe
it's even better than first. But then you dial it

(03:26):
back down and you gets something there. It's a little
bit slower. Well, that's what you welcome people into the show.
It's like last night we saw the fur, we saw
Welcome to the Jungle, and it's so easy. Okay, now
let's bring it down a little bit. Now, let's bring
let's bring it down. Let's get a bat.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
And I started screaming at the tech tech people because
my uh, I couldn't get the feed in and and
I couldn't hear everything. Oh wait, that was Axel at
Argentina last week. But all that's say, I mean they
had to physically remove us from the studio last night
for Ben.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Maller, Yeah, I mean it was Green had the game
with no desire to leave all four hours. The game
started two hours hours before we got on the air.
We talked about that game so many different angles for
basically for the entire show, for all four hours. And
we got off and I was able to drive home,
get home, sit down on my couch, get a drink,
sit down, and still got to see the entire inning

(04:15):
before Freddie Freeman at the walk off home run. That's
pretty am That's what last night was. People were probably
upset going to the I got tickets with a Laker
game last night. Oh my goodness, I'm gonna miss this game.
But no, they were able to go to the game, leave,
go get a drink after leisurely drive home and catch
the last three innings.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Well, they still saw the second game and you.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Missed no runs, and we missed no runs. There were
no redre one run in the last like four and
a half hours. Was watching that game.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Now, it was absolute chaos, and you know, we try
to compartmentalize it. My daughter was asking me this morning,
she goes, the hell happened with that game?

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Right?

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Something popped up at her feet when she woke up
this morning, and she goes, all right, explain this to me,
I'm like, all right, let me walk you through it,
and started going through the twists and turns the defense
and plays the errors early on and Edmund he giveth
he take it the way tay oscar the legend, that
is all of that, and she's just like to stare
at me, go you have this haul. No, we did
this for four hours. Yeah, and then it kept going

(05:12):
into the night.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
What do you got, Frostburg, How you doing?

Speaker 3 (05:14):
How many Freddy's are gonna be born nine months from
late last night?

Speaker 1 (05:19):
How many Freddy's in show?

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Hayes, Well, I mean you already had Freddie's from last
year with the grand This is square.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
I think it's like.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Freddie met Freddy on that home run.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Every kid is gonna be named Freddie and a ten
years in la when you when you have kids go
to school for the first time, or five years, six
years from now to show, has everybody's named Freddie. This
is amazing. It's Freddie, Freddie Johnson, right, Freddie Smith, Freddie Frossberg,
Freddie Harmon. You know, here's what you're gonna be Freddie.
H You're gonna be Freddie j your Freddie s, your friend.
Like that's kind of what has to happen. That's what

(05:50):
you're gonna say. At the end of the day.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Freddie's the man.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Yeah, I mean, my goodness, I mean fred Freddie Freeman. Honestly,
if you had any question when he for Hall of
Fame induction, people are gonna, look, what a great career.
Walk off home run Game one of the World Series,
walk off home run Game three of the World Series.
No one's ever done that. Like, that's his ticket to
the Hall of Fame. That's his ticket. It's like Eli,
people question, is Eli Manning gonna make the Hall of Fame? Yeah,

(06:15):
Eli Manning, great career, very very similar with Freddie Freeman.
Eli Manning. Boy, people forget how good Eli Manning was.
You know, everybody knows, Hey, Freddie Freeman's really good. Maybe
you don't understand just how good he is, but Eli
Manning's Hall of Fame. I beat the Patriots twice in
the Super Bowl with game winning drives both times. I
beat Tom Brady. I ruined it into a perfect season.
Freddy Freeman was gonna say, yeah, you see my walkoffs

(06:37):
two years ago? You see that? Yeah, great, that was
That's Freddy Freeman's Hall of Fame candidate.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Yeah, one of the things he'll have to go. And
whoever speaks for him will argue about the idea that
he was robbed in several gold gloves along the way.
But that's a story for another time. What was interesting
last night, though, were his advats where he kept hitting
the ball on the button to center field. Yeah, deeper, deeper,
gone after it, I just.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Talked to eat a little bit more, a little bit more,
and it's over the fence. Now what does that mean
for tonight? Unfortunately they had to come back and play
again today. I could have taken three more days until
Game four. But here's where we sit right now. Top
of the seventh Anthony Banda has come in for the
Dodgers with runners at second and third. He has been
greeted by a single to left field. It is now

(07:22):
a three to one Toronto Blue Jay lead. They have
runners at the corners. I kf is up with nobody
out still batting in the top of the seventh inning.
And really it's been it's been a very boring game,
which it which has been Okay, Now, the one big
takeaway from this game so far, and and and this
is this is a thing man, Mookie bets has been

(07:45):
brutal right. It was been a bad year for him.
He's got four hits since the NLCS began. He is
popping everything up right, everything's dropping, his shoulder popping. He
has absolutely lost the plate so much so we swing
at the first pitch.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
Yesterday he was in the cage aton trying to find
like some semblance of consistency before it's again.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
He is absolutely lost. And the Dodgers, you go into
Game four, you need to drop him down in the
batting order. You cannot. You cannot continue to bat him
second because it's with sho Hey getting on base almost
every time, I mean a couple of times, a couple
of outs to night Perodio eleven eleven consecutive times on base,

(08:27):
like Mookie Betts is coming up and it's an out,
I mean, I get it. And it's a short term thing.
This is not suddenly we're turning the page on Mookie Betts.
This is Mookie Betts is killing you right now. In
that two hole. You need whether it's moving Tommy Edmund up,
who's hitting the ball, kek Hernandez moving up. We want
to keep the right hand. But Mookie Betts hitting second,
and and and the blue Jays are taking the trade

(08:47):
off of if we put Otani on, we feel great
about Mookie Betts. So we'll take that trade off of
we walk Otani, who may not be the stolen base
threat that he was a year ago, because we saw
last night in extra innings, had to come out look
at him. Looked like his back maybe flared.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
Up a little bit. What else?

Speaker 1 (09:03):
They said, Yeah, so he's not quite that stolen base threat.
So the Blue Jay is saying, okay, so first two
batters Otani on bass and Mookie Bets but not even
advancing the runner Mookie Bets bot. Yeah, we'll take that trade.
And that's really what it's been so far. So you're
talking about the Dodgers, that's a big move. You're talking
about your you know, your your second best player all around.
And look, Mookie Betts has been a phenomenal stud for

(09:25):
his career and he's going to continue to be one.
But this lost year just has gotten worse for him
in the playoffs, and and you continue to bat him second.
I get it's hard. I get it's difficult because he's
such a star player, but you're trying to win, you know,
two more games, right, you're trying to win two more
games and that's it. And Mookie Bets batting second is
just not getting it done.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
Since he the beginning of that Milwaukee series, including tonight,
he's four for his last thirty three with one extra
base hit and what one RBI, So you're you're not
getting anything.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
And he's batting with Otani on bass all the time,
well except when Otani hits home runs, but he's bad
except the time all the time.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Yeah, a lot of opportunities certainly have been left to
the wayside. And and it's it's a sad state of affairs,
right that you can have a guy whos decorated his
bets uh whatever's gone on going back to the illness
in Japan uh to start the season and all the
way through. UH there were a couple of weeks where
it looked like you're starting to you know, find his

(10:24):
his rhythm a bit uh and and certainly still a
candidate for a Gold Glove at shortstop. So it's the
all right, yin and yang of when we're talking about
the defense for the Dodgers as a whole, that you
still have a stalwart there. But it's been a difficult
proposition with Otani with as many walks as he draws,

(10:44):
and certainly last night was the exaggerated form of that
and the five intentionals, but uh, just one of those things.
Very angsty Dodger faithful when Mooki's at the plate right now,
so now one out, top of the seventh inning, they
get a line out to Max Muncy who nearly doubles

(11:05):
Andres Jimenez off of first base.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
The call on the field was a double play. However,
on review him Andez God got his hand in. They
reviewed it. He is safe. So now they still have
that insurance run at third with just one out. Visit
to the mound right now. Toronto leads the Dodgers again
three to one. Now one out, runners in first and third.
Now just off the beaten path for a second here, right, Yeah,

(11:28):
I was thinking about this, like if they ever decided
to make a movie of Andre's Jimenez's life, right because hey,
he was traded for Lindor, like he ever does something
with Michael Mando from Better Call Saul will play Andres
Yimenez is that Mike. Uh he was not cho Michael
Mando is not cho in in in Uh yeah yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
So he was.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
He was absolutely, absolutely would play Andres Jimenez in the
story of Andres Imenez's life. He is there Orphan Black. Yeah,
that was first. His first gig was Orphan Black.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
Yeah, he's coming back in this spider Man.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Spider Man, Yeah, spider Man.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
That's right. I'm complaining it with somebody else. But yes,
I know exactly who you're speaking about. I think that works. Yeah,
that's that's not too bad. Nice nice pull.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Michael Mandol. Yeah, hey, I mean I don't know how
you would make it interesting. Maybe it's a Canadian film,
because if he winds up being a World series hero,
it does well in Canada. I don't know, but he
would play one hundred percent.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
Well, I mean we got to just do a little
bit of due diligence on his backstory.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Okay, all right, well look sure there's something. Oh you
could drum it up and make it.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
No, but that's just based on a true story. Yeah, yeah,
true story.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
I didn't I didn't know. I didn't know that he
wore a power glove and he saved whales before he
oh yeah, one hundred percent.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
He did that.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
Yeah. Family was part of the Irish.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
He stopped in He stopped an alien invasion from Earth
seven fourteen. You didn't see that when the alien's kenned
and he beat them all, you didn't say. And then
he became a baseball.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Pepper, one of the battles in the Peaky Blinders.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
Yes, part of that, yeah, sure, uh so make it
four to one Dodger, Toronto Blue Jay lead now over
the Dodgers, two outs, runners at first and second. Looks
like we're getting a pitching change. Dave Roberts on the hill,
Anthony Banda coming out of the game again, two outs,
four to one, now Toronto with the lead over the Dodgers,

(13:22):
looking to even up the World Series at two games apiece.
We'll continue to keep you posted on this. What's been
so far a nice and boring and okay average game,
which I think we all need after last night. It's like,
you know, the night after a big party your house.
You can't have a party the next night. We need
a night to just hang out, talk about the party
the night before, and then get you know, clean up
a little bit, make sure the house is looking nice,
and then okay, then we're recharged, recharge for the big one.

Speaker 5 (13:45):
Okay, Yeah, exactly exactly, So we have more on this
a plus coming up next because the World Series was
so great last night, we got so much NFL to
get to coming off of week eight.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
We got a big MVP hot take coming up next,
as well as a Dallas Cowboys take that will surprise
and shock you. That's next right here, Jason and Mike.

(16:15):
That code is jss A DraftKings. The crown is yours.
And speaking of of NBA marquee game of the night,
Jannis getting to meet his future teammates as they played
the Knicks four minutes ago in the fourth quarter. The
Bucks lead this one one oh seven to one oh three,
And maybe nothing is more impressive tonight in the world

(16:36):
of sports than watching Yannis get away with a six
step walk earlier in this game. Not three steps, not three?
How many times did you watch that? And I make
sure you're accounting that is six steps?

Speaker 3 (16:49):
All right? That is that only five? Or do I
go to the sick that was the sick? How does
he get six steps? Like you look at the reficiator,
you go, come on, man, and then you go back
in you video and Patrick viewing and you go, oh,
I see it. I mean I get like three steps
sometimes I could get four steps, but I mean, really
he he takes six steps and he he picks up

(17:10):
his dribble I think one step inside of the three
point line and doesn't dribble the rest of the way.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
It's six steps. Man's impressive. Yeah, he got I'd be
I'd be more mad if I didn't know he was
going to be a Nick by the deadline.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
You don't want to be really good if someone would
bother to defend him. Fourteen of twenty from the field tonight.
Well he's thirty two point five and five.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
He's showing the Knicks. This is why you're gonna trade
for me.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
What he is? He walking around with a sign that
says come get me.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
Well, he actually came out wearing a Knixt jersey. Did
you see that? That he had to change? Really announced
him before. Oh and he had to take all he
unzipped his books warm up jacket. He was wearing a
Knix jersey. He had to zip it back up and
just go out there at high five. Is that's that's
an interesting bold strategy right there. Jalen Bronson thirty two
points for your Nicks. An awful game from at thirty

(18:01):
two minutes. Two of eleven from the field.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
Does add ten apart could finish with a double double yeah,
he's got eight points four.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
People are watching. What a surprise the the a game
in which, hey, the Nickson meeting their new and future teammate,
the guy that would be traded for him is having
a bad game.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
I just don't care.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
You don't like me anymore, you don't like me?

Speaker 3 (18:20):
Well you know what. They also relegated this one to
uh well Peacock.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
Well yeah, well are trying to get people. That's part that's.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
Part of their Tuesday package. So there you go.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Meanwhile, things getting away from the Dodgers. Here in the
seventh inning, Toronto with a six to one lead, now
over La Blake Tronon comes in and the Wall gets
hit really really hard. U. He is now allowed twelve
of the twenty four runners that he has faced this
postseason to reach base.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Yeah, twelve of twenty four hitters.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Let's graze all the way back to September when when
we said the biggest say and who wins the World
Series is the Dodgers. And I don't mean from a
positive perspective. I mean I know you think we're just
gonna come in and get outs. Yeah, you saw Game
two and they couldn't score it us for four and
a half hours. Yeah, we're gonna take it back in
game three or Game four. Here is much more of

(19:12):
a of an outing for the Dodgers' bullpen that you
expected last night. You know, one of the big hidden
things that we didn't get to a ton last night
is that because the game was just so incredible all
the way through, is that, how do the Blue Jays
not scoring any run sands that Dodger bullpen? But they didn't.
But now tonight the Blue Jays clearly much more attention
to detail. They are the more desperate team. They seem

(19:32):
like they have a little bit more jumped than the
Dodgers do tonight, and clearly Shoheo Tani was sharp, gives
up a couple of hits, comes out of the game.
Both those runners inherited runners score, they put up two
more and now it is a six to one lead,
and we are back to the issue the Dodgers have
had throughout the postseason, which is the only reliever that
Dave Roberts can trust is Roki Sasaki. That's really nobody else. Yeah,

(19:54):
now you held your breaking out.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
Yeah, my god, will mean Sandy Kofaks, who stayed for
the entire game as we were talking about you can
trust so fast. He went into the clubhouse to find
Kline to make sure to give him love. Clyde said
more people talk to him in the last twenty four
hours than he had his entire coach, sure, which I
thought was kind of kind of funny.

Speaker 1 (20:14):
Fifteen yearsrom now you're gonna hear, hey, where are they now?

Speaker 3 (20:17):
Remember Will Klein right on principal on principal because they
do that tops now thing big moments. They made a
Klin card. I'm buying Aklin card for the collection to
put up on the wall. They got the Otani and
the Freeman and whatever else. But you know, watching this
as as they went to the bullpen, part of me
was like wise, band to coming in. Where's Kershaw? We

(20:38):
got proof of concept yesterday you only pitched a one hitter.
Come on, we still got it. We still got to
bridge a big gap here.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
I mean Dave Roberts for some reason, and this is
the I get that you can only do so much
in the postseason when you're trying to keep things at bay.
And the Dodgers we watched them do it a little
bit last year, right, and you give Dave Roberts this
where I'm gonna give Dave Roberts a little bit more credit.
Then when you talk about the bullpen, is that think
about the Dodgers march to the World Series last year,

(21:05):
right when he knew early on in the game, this
is not our day. He brought in the lower leverage guys,
even though the game wasn't a blowout. Right like a
couple of times the Mets led in the NLCS when
they had a cup, when the Dodgers had games where
the Mets were out four to one in the third inning,
it wasn't high leverage guys coming in to keep the
Dodgers in the game. It was the lower leverage guys

(21:27):
because Roberts, okay, this is kind of not if we
hit game, Okay, we'll play it. And he did it
and it was perfect last year because that's exactly what
happened right in the high leverage. But the problem is
there's not a lot of the high leverage guys or
whoever just had a great outing. Will Klein is now
a high leverage guy. Right, he throws a hundred, he's
now a high leverage.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
But how much does he need recovery with that? He's
never thrown that many pitches.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
No, no, I mean right.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
Legend, yes, respect on his name. I read absolutely it
was a ridiculous perform. Rivera's never done that.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
He's the last time we saw Rivera's giving up hits
to the Diamondbacks.

Speaker 3 (22:03):
As soon as Luis Gaza. I mean, that's it. We
were talking about that yesterday. Right you had the Mets.
I was trying to point out the hey, here's two
great starters, and then Rivera gives it.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
Up like, ah, here you go.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
But but watching this, as soon as you get to
the pen, right, you get those anxious moments. And Otani
gave him ninety three pitches went and that extra couple
of batters and so the inherited runners all come around.
But the stat on trying is just yeah, ud believe well.
And obviously not having Vessia is a very big deal,
but you play who's available.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
But like that, That's the thing is after the game
last night, I wonder if Roberts is saying, Okay, we
have no jump tonight. There's nothing going on. Two to
one looks like six to one because they're not getting
runners on base again, Otani is that they just don't
look like they have any jump. And they're definitely coming
off of we won the big game last night and
now we need to kind of get but we need
we need a day to get right. We know you

(22:57):
get right about and the Blue Jays are the team
more desperate. So I kind of wonder and I'm hoping that
that's why Dave Roberts is doing this, saying all right,
this is probably not our night tonight. We're gonna need
our guys tomorrow. We're gonna need the guys tomorrow because
we want We're not going back to Toronto down three
to two. That's not that's not a recipe for success.
At this point. We're thinking about winning and going back

(23:18):
to Toronto needing one game to win the World Series. Which, okay,
when you're talking about Snell and Yamamoto, what however you
want to do? Put your uh your pitchers out there again,
this is what we're looking to do. So I really
wonder if I get you know, I understand Dodger fancying
what is blade tried in the game, But I really
wonder if Dave Roberts is playing the long game with
what's happening.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
Yeah, we'll see Snell tomorrow, he's announced, So we get that,
and we'll see if Yamamoto can if he has to,
I mean, still some baseball to be played here is
Dryer comes out to be the fourth Dodger pitcher of
the night. Biab only went five and a third. Couldn't
chase him though, right and get a runner on weekly
hit balls, bad swinging and when we talk about the

(24:00):
strike zone on both sides, it's been kind of inconsistent
as we've run through. But the old get them on,
get him over, get him in right, the one big
blow from Vladimir Guerrero, but otherwise ball stayed in the
yard and guys are having to try to come up
in big situations. Dodgers haven't been able to make much
hay at all tonight. So we'll love more on this

(24:21):
game coming up in a few minutes. But NFL wise,
we're getting close to the trade deadline, and now more
so than any other year, we are filled with what
is my team gonna do at the deadline, whether it's
we're trading guys away because we stink Jets, or we
need to go get some good guys because we maybe
have a chance to do things. Cowboys, Chiefs, all these

(24:42):
other teams right this is that now the trade deadline
in the NFL has really become a much better thing
than it ever was. We've gone just in the last
ten years, we've gone from maybe one guy, maybe a
guy sitting out who's unhappy with his content. When that
would happen when stars couldn't force the issue like they
do now, well, maybe you get one or two guys
dealta what would the impact be now or at a

(25:03):
point where okay, we're going to see large player movement
at the deadline. More so, it's like they've finally embraced
the fact that we can go get somebody. I think
some of it. You know, we talked a little bit
of on the the iuanch of flex for this week,
but talking about the change in philosophy in management, right,
there's not a long haul, five year build a college

(25:26):
like we've been talking about coaches getting blown out and
getting a fifty million dollar novelty check like Ed McMahon
showed up at his doorstep that that it's it's just
a philosophy of all right, we don't have this, let's
go get assets that we can use to rebuild and
take it down to scrap metal.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
For lack of a better term.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
So for some of these teams where there's a question
you might have a great player, but you're all right,
it's going to take three years to build around him, right,
Maybe you got the running back, Maybe you've got a guy,
you know, Hendrickson's name keeps coming it up after the
Bengals lost to your Jets. Maybe maybe it's more likely
that play just send him along, you know what I mean.

(26:10):
So it's I think some of it's that change in
philosophy of like, you're not a lifer, so you you
shuffle up and deal and try to you know, make
the best hand that you can, uh, and put yourself
in a position to say, Okay, we're pushing towards next year.
We've got seven draft picks, we got one or two
focal points, and we move from there.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
The one team that everybody is going to see, what
are you doing? More well, really the Chiefs, but to
more of an extent, obviously the Cowboys. Everybody wants to
point and laugh and go, oh, you need a defensive
player with the deadline like you did that Micael Parsons.
Jerry Jones says, not sure if they're one defensive player away. Uh,
clearly they need to make some kind of move, and
especially after their embarrassing loss on Sunday where the offense

(26:53):
just absolutely fell apart against the Broncos. But here's where
I'm gonna zig. When you think I'm gonna zag, Oh, Jason,
you said all season long the Cowboys and look at them,
and and yeah, they're great offense, But look what happens
when the offense can't do anything and the defense is
terrible and they're just kind of meandering around. I'm gonna
tell you this, I'm gonna be consistent and unpredictable at
the same time.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
I like this.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
I'm consistent predictable. You're gonna expect me to say, yes,
Dallas is who I said they are, and they are right.
They're a team that has a terrific offense and you
don't want to get in a shootout with them because
they can beat you on the flip side. Defensively, they're
absolutely terrible and they're gonna be a team that that
that meanders around five hundred four this year. But this

(27:37):
is where isaig. The offense is even better than expected.
The Colts and the Cowboys offenses are running at a
level above everybody else in the league. Don't panic off
of this one game against the Broncos. The offense has
been so good. They've been so good for so long.
Sometimes you just have a bad game, and you have

(27:58):
a bad game on the road against a really good
defensive team. It happens. It happens. But because it's the Cowboys,
it's always Lady or the Tiger. It's either.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
Things are unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
This is the worst in the world. I can't. I
gotta burn all my gear on social media and show
everybody because I'm so mad right now. Sometimes you just
have a bad game, and not to the Cowboys had
they just had a bad game. They happened. They happen.
All the best teams have bad games, and this offense
just had a bad game. Now, I was surprised that

(28:29):
Denver emotionally coming off of the win the week before,
you know, thirty three points in the fourth quarter and
suddenly what's gonna happen. Yes, you're gonna get a bounce,
you're gonna get a bit of a flat game. But
instead it was the opposite, which tells me how good
Denver's gonna be in a couple of weeks. So all
credit to them, their offense seems to be coming around.
But for Dallas, yeah, okay, they had a bad game offensively, defensively,

(28:52):
we know who they are. They're not gonna wind up
going crazy. So to hear Jerry Jones say, I don't
know that we're one player away. Like this loss, I
think feel like it really hurt them and hurt how
they feel they can compete in the NFL. Don't don't
let this game define you. If you think you can
go get a good defensive player, go give your team
a shot. Because offensively they're much better than anybody thought.

(29:15):
I said they're gonna be a really good offensive team.
Now they're the best offensive team in the NFC, maybe
the best offensive team in the NFL, but at worst
their second. So don't let this loss now push you
the other way to say, yeah, you know, we thought
we were one guy away, one star guy. You know
a week ago was is Dallas one star player away
from the Super Bowl?

Speaker 4 (29:33):
Now?

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Jerry Jones, well, I don't know. Yeah, don't let this
one get it. You're still a really terrific offensive team.
Make the couple of moves you need that's going to
jump start the team and be competitive, be a playoff competitive,
team in the second half of the year. Don't let
it's just a bad game. Blow it off.

Speaker 3 (29:48):
Yeah, as we said, they were not That answer was no,
they were not one player away because they're also with
aunt Trevon Diggs, who they put on IR and Micah
Parsons and others have chimed in about how that all
was handled, and we didn't get transparencies, so none of
us know the full story there. But he's on IR.
So that's a big part of your secondary to Denver

(30:10):
for a second, certain missing he got hurt at the
end of the first half. He's gonna miss four to
six weeks, So we'll see what that does to the
defensive acumen that they've got because he's chased and been
the traveling buddy to all the number one wide receivers
and suddenly that opens up a little bit of something.
But yeah, for Dallas, you've got some winnable games. You've

(30:31):
got the Cardinals and Raiders are your next two, and
then you have a little bit of a gauntlet before
you see whoever Minnesota is propping up at quarterback.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
Jason Smith Mike Harmon Lock from the Fox Sports Radio studios,
Bad games, It's fine, it's okay. Look at me telling
Dallas it's okay. It's okay. It's okay. You're telling Dallas
it's okay. With the Ieart Radio app, you can stream

Time out to find out what's trending in the wide
world of sports from someone who's been called the Blake
trinon of Fox Sports Radio. Hey, every other battery he
faces somehow finds a way to get on days, it
is Steve di Seger.

Speaker 7 (31:20):
Yeah, my sweepers not working tonight or any other night
this postseason. The Blue Jays are of six to one
at Dodger Stadium in the top of the eighth Well,
they're just now going to the bottom of the eighth
inning of Game four. Looks like Toronto will even the
series at two games apiece, which means after Wednesday's game
five in La. There will be a game six in
Toronto on Friday. It appears great stat from Sarah Langs

(31:42):
that the Blue Jays were the best in baseball at
winning games when they allowed the first run of the game.
This regular season, they were nearly a five hundred team
when they allowed the first run, and they allowed the
first run tonight to sack fly in the second from
Key k Hernandez.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
Steve, what are teams records against the Dodgers when Blake
tried in pitches recently? Yeah, this whole Dodger both.

Speaker 7 (32:08):
As one of the discussed for the last three months,
this I assure you this bullpen will make last nights
zero after zero after zero even more astounding than it
was while we were living through it. In Game three
last night, Keith a hernand is the early sackfly, first
sackfly in about a month for the Dodgers. But right

(32:30):
away an answer from the offense of Toronto, and it
came from Vladimir Guerrero Junior two run homer in the
third inning. Now show he Otani was the starting pitcher.
He didn't have a walk early in this game. That means,
including last night, six consecutive walks passing lou gerrig for
long streak in World Series history. But Guerrero shot, well,

(32:51):
it's his seventh career postseason homer. That's a Blue Jays record.
He now has the Toronto mark most RBIs in one
postseason And things got bad for the bullpen when they
became a part of this game. In the top of
the seventh, Now show Heyo Tani had thrown a hundred
pitches in his last start when he dominated Milwaukee, most
pitches he has thrown this year, so that's the most

(33:13):
pitches since his major injury. They let him start the
top of the seventh against the Blue Jays tonight. O'tani
allowed a single, double, came out. What did the bullpen do?
RBI single, allowed, RBI ground out and after the two out,
intentional walk to Vladimir Guerrero Junior, Bobashett and RBI single,
Addison Barger and RBI single and a two to one

(33:34):
lead became six to one Toronto and that's where we
stand going to the bottom of the eighth. By the way,
Bobashett the best in baseball in the regular season with
runners in scoring position. He had a batting average of
over three point eighty again. For the moment, it's two
games to one Dodgers, but big lead for the visitors,
the New Orleans Saints. We'll start rookie quarterback Tyler Shuck

(33:55):
at the Rams on Sunday. Washington quarterback Jaden Daniels is
due to return to practic this Wednesday after his hamstring injury.
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson practice fully. He's due to return
to play this Thursday night at Miami. Just about everything
final in the NBA now that Milwaukee wonted home against
the Knicks one twenty one to one, eleven thirty seven

(34:15):
points for Janni, Santana Kumpo wins for Miami. For Philadelphia
in overtime, Phileas four and oh and Oklahoma City's five
and oh getting a late run to beat Sacramento one
oh seven, one oh one, Shay Gilgis Alexander thirty one points.
We're still a half an hour away from the late
game starting Clippers at Golden State, and everyone's playing in
the NHL tonight going to overtime. Winnipeg tied three to

(34:38):
three at Minnesota. Vegas was a six to three winner
at Carolina, and the TV ratings for the World series
have been good so far. Keep in mind it's Toronto
as one of the competing teams. If you add up
the US plus Canada ratings, first two games have averaged
about twenty million viewers, best since at least twenty sixteen
when the Cubs were in it. And if you add

(34:58):
up for the opener last week US Canada and Japan,
it was over thirty million viewers for game number one
of this series. Back to you now, I.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
See there is breaking news to bring you right now.
Mookie Bets got a hit. Mookie Bets with a bit.
I just watched it with my own eyes, A line
drive to left center field. Mookie Bets has a base hit.
Now we returned to our affiliates. By the way, this
is with Chris Bassett on the mound. This is, as
John Morosi is pointing out tonight. A really nice addition.

(35:31):
We can get an extra reliever, somebody who was a
rotation starter. Yeah, x met Chris Bassett now pitching in
the World Series.

Speaker 7 (35:37):
You know we had the x Mets throwing out the
first pitches. Wasn't today on Nomo? Yeah? As legend today? Yeah,
Absolute Laurels threw out the first pitch tonight to Clayton Kershaw.

Speaker 3 (35:49):
By the way, did you know he hates Jason.

Speaker 7 (35:52):
That's been well established, well established, and he also has
to wait in line in that category.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Ah, thank you, Steve oh I sing. Coming up next,
we got the Play the Day coming your way, and
it's time to pour cold water on one NFL out
of control quarterback that people think could be the MVP
of the league. He's Superman's next right here, Jason to
Mike Fox.

converts to the other. End i'm okay with thirty seven
against The knicks tonight because of the, deadline he'll be
scoring thirty seven for The. Knicks, Sure i'll play in

(37:32):
the long. Game Mike.

Speaker 3 (37:33):
Carmen i'm playing the Little that's Why cat was so
sullen and disaffected and then he's kind of useless in this.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
Game you, know we will have more on that coming
up in the.

Speaker 3 (37:42):
Show but it was a guy that did not look
happy anything in that.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
Game you THINK i was kidding WHEN i, Said, hey
here's a game Where yannis could be meeting his new.
Teammates you know how much he Likes New. York the
rumors in the off, Season jason maybe when he traveled like,
that he was heading To New. York i'm just GONNA
i gotta get there. Faster, NOW i gotta, say, THOUGH
i don't think it's a coincidence That Karl Anthony towns
had a bad, game melted down a couple of times
against The bucks where he knows he's the guy traded to.

Speaker 3 (38:07):
Know he ain't going. There if The bucks do, that
then they should dissolve a dissolve the franchise right. Now
thirty seven eight and seven tonight plus sixteen sixteen of
twenty two from the.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
Field great line for The knicks when they get it
at the, death that's going to be.

Speaker 3 (38:23):
Fantastic he And Ryan, rollins Not, hollins our.

Speaker 1 (38:27):
GUY i.

Speaker 3 (38:27):
Know Ryan rollins had twenty five eight of eleven shooting
for The bucks as.

Speaker 1 (38:32):
Well, meanwhile today in THE nfl the last couple of.
DAYS i not THAT i want to pour cold water on,
it BUT i kind of do you do, okay because
he's in division we had makes you. Mad we had
THE mvp conversation last. Night mahomes at the. Top Daniel,
jones if you're being, honest is right behind.

Speaker 3 (38:49):
Him fifteen to one still For Daniel.

Speaker 1 (38:51):
Jones i'm not Buying Drake. MAY i get that people
Want Drake may to Be. Tom we tried to Make Matt,
Jones Tom, brady he. Wasn't let's Make Drake May. Tom,
Okay Drake may has been pretty good so. Far he's, no, no,
No i'm not saying he's. Not i'd like a three
hundred yard game from him if he's going to be These, okay,
YEAH i think he kind of.

Speaker 3 (39:09):
Do but If i'm completing seventy five percent of my
passes five touchdowns per, pick, YEAH i got as many
touchdowns and eight games AS i had.

Speaker 1 (39:16):
All last, year your volume passing for it's. Okay, LOOK i, Know,
LOOK i don't want you to Think i'm not saying
he's not been. Good he's been. Good he's been good.

Speaker 3 (39:26):
Good but, however.

Speaker 1 (39:30):
The patriots are the beneficiaries of what may be the
easiest schedule in THE nfl in. Years, okay part of
their start so, far that's with six and Two raiders who.
Stink miami absolutely. Stinks pittsburgh are. Pretenders we told you about.
Them their defense is. Terrible carolina. Stinks, Okay buffalo is,

(39:51):
good all, right to Beat, buffalo great one With New orleans,
Stinks tennessee is, Worse cleveland. Stinks that's you're talking about
the vast majority of you playing well are against teams that.
Stink all, Right, Well, Jason, well, hey you're gonna see
him does it against good competition second half of the.
Year what good? Competition he's Got, atlanta he hasn't even
played The jets once, yet and he's got The jets.

(40:12):
Twice he's Got cincinnati who, stinks The giants who, Stink
baltimore whose defense, Stinks miami. Again The patriots are gonna
wind up being like bleep in twelve and five this.

Speaker 4 (40:24):
Year.

Speaker 1 (40:26):
And they will have played everybody who. Stinks i'm not
Saying drake may has not been. Good he, has but,
WOW i, mean this may be the easiest schedule in
THE nfl in the last five. Years and it. Did
it does like it gets more. Difficult, Jason, well the
schedule lightens. Up, No, no schedule stays this cream puffy, man
it's gonna be another eight nine weeks of cream puffs
for The.

Speaker 3 (40:46):
Patriots, No, no it's it's certainly them in the forty
nine ers we talked about to start the, season and
that still plays easiest schedules that you have. Going he
did show up As superman At Children's hospital For. Halloween
that's so. Good so that plays into a little bit
of where he's. AT i, mean because you can tie
that back into THE mvp race stand in tall leaping

(41:07):
buildings at a single, bound so that that's a great
thing that he does with the community there in The
Greater boston. Area but fifteen and three taking care of the,
football making plays with his, legs doesn't have the true number.
One Maybe bude becomes that guy right and a little

(41:27):
bit of, digs but you don't have a true number.
One so you're going out and distributing the. Ball, WELL
i can't fault him for who he has to. PLAY i,
MEAN i don't think we take de barrets because of
the strength of.

Speaker 1 (41:39):
Schedule But Matt jones might have been able to do
this against this level of competition well with the guy
that didn't have a pencil behind his ear as his offensive.
Cordon these teams absolutely are.

Speaker 3 (41:50):
Terrible that's why he got wet out there and all
the plays got washed off because it was all in. Pencil.

Speaker 1 (41:55):
Terrible we react To game four of The World series.
Next this is fun.

Speaker 2 (42:01):
Field line drive left.

Speaker 8 (42:04):
Field Miles straw puts it away and The Blue jays
have tied this series. Up after the gut wrenching lost
last night that might have just wiped, one wiped a
lesser team, off The Blue jays bounced back and win
it six to two On.

Speaker 1 (42:20):
Fox the final, call As Chris berman would, say AND
tj that play the final straw for The Blue jays
as they tie the series two games.

Speaker 3 (42:32):
Apiece well. DONE i still want to hit.

Speaker 1 (42:35):
You The World series is all. Even there are three games.
Left that is now the best of. Three we get
ready for game. Five look back at game. Four nobody
better to talk to than Itly network INSIDER, extraordinaiy longtime
friend of the. Show he is The, Pope JOHN, Palmerrosi?

Speaker 2 (42:51):
Pope what's?

Speaker 4 (42:51):
Happening?

Speaker 3 (42:51):
Man how are?

Speaker 4 (42:52):
YOU i am? Outstanding and the Reason i'm outstanding is.
THIS i know that we have at least two more
baseball games left in twenty twenty. Five this is A
World series that DARE i, say deserves a seventh. GAME
i think there's a good chance that we're going to get.
One and as much as we'll talk game, four we're

(43:13):
still in many ways reliving all that transpired there In game,
three AND i think, overall you have to, say this
is about where this series should be at two games a.
Piece we've seen some great performances on each, side so
that missed opportunities on each. Side two two feels right to.

Speaker 1 (43:32):
Me did today go how you expected the game to?

Speaker 4 (43:37):
Go that's a great. QUESTION i would say not. EXACTLY
i did not think that The jays would win by
as big of a margin as they. DID i thought
they would be. COMPETITIVE i thought they'd have a chance
to win it. LATE i did not think they'd open
up the game against The dodger bullpen and the fashions they.
Did that was probably the. Surprise and, Actually i'll say,

(43:59):
this the biggest surprise for me was that The jays
won a game in Which Shane bieber was out before
the end of the sixth. INNING i thought that he
had to take this thing, deep AND i mean into
the seventh for them to be able to win this baseball.
Game and the reason that they were able to still

(44:21):
win it Despite bieber being out when he did in
the sixth was That fluardi was. Great bassett was. Phenomenal he.
IS i Think Chris bassett's emergence as a legit late
inning arm for The jays is one of the most
important storylines of this, postseason and then of Course barlin
is able to get it done in the, ninth which
is crucial because that means That Jeff hoffin is rested

(44:44):
and ready for. Tomorrow SO i, think to, me the
story is not just the way The jays won the game,
tonight but the way that they were able to recover
from last night to. Tonight you sleep. Fast it's about
as devastating of a loss as you're ever going to
experience on a baseball, field and you come, back you're
a little bit, Beleaguered you're not really. Sure Obviously George

(45:06):
springer wasn't able to, go But bobaschet, was and it
just it's really a tribute to the resolve of The
Blue jays that we are leveled now at two games a.

Speaker 3 (45:14):
Peak talk about the absence Of springer one of the
big things yesterday in that eighteen inning. Marathon but Something
jason AND i have been talking about quite a BIT
jp is that a lot of bat at bats by
These dodger. Hitters we talked specifically About Mookie, betts but
as a, team it's a composite two oh one and
change for a batting average thus.

Speaker 4 (45:37):
Far and to be, Fair, mike that's not a new.
Problem don't really go back when you go back and
look at certainly the regular, season they underwhelmed the times
and Obviously otani was the offense last. Night it was
that was like that was like watching A Cleveland cavaliers

(45:57):
playoff games circa two thousand and seven where it was
Just lebron And lebron could just win a game by.
Himself rare as the baseball player that can do. That
o'tani basically did that last, night obviously with a pretty
significant Assistanm Freddie, freeman but that was the. Offense it
was like a two man. Approach and then you look
at tonight and that was a massive. Contrast you're spot,

(46:20):
On mike that there was a big difference between the
thoroughness and the depth of the at bats and the
quality on The toronto side versus some quick at bats
by The. Dodgers and then you really think about it
that they made a bit of a push there in
the final inning Against, farland but for the most, part
it didn't seem Like bassett was really sweating that. Much

(46:42):
he did not have that many stress. Pitches it's why
The jays have had him usually pitching just one, inning
but now all of a sudden they were able to
extend him because he did not have many stress. Pitches and,
again it's one thing to, Say, okay you've got to
work deeper at bats and deeper. Counts and then o'tani
had some really good takes last, night and certainly some

(47:02):
still some very good at bad. TONIGHT i thought in different,
moments but this is not the point of the. Year
we're almost The. Halloween it's not a day where you're
all of a sudden gonna roll on a, bed you know, What,
Yeah i'm gonna start working six seven, eight bitch at.
That it's at this point you are who you are
and who The dodgers. Are they are incredibly, talented but

(47:25):
they are Not this is not The New York yankees
of the early aughts or the late nineties when they
would just grind you through at bad after at. Bat
that's not the kind of lineup The dodgers, have AND
i think tonight was was one case where that that
shortcoming was very evident for the baseball world to.

Speaker 1 (47:46):
See you, know watching the series so, far really watching the,
playoffs is that the show Hal taani show has been
covering up all the ills of The dodgers that are
Still they haven't Hit John paul since the series against The.
Reds they're bull and it is back to being the
bullpen that nobody can trust and really. Like the guy
that stands for all of this is Probably Mookie, betts

(48:07):
who looks absolutely lost at the, plate and when he,
goes The dodger offense goes and outside you strip Away
otani what he's. Doing The dodgers are really underachieving when
it when it comes to what they've done this, postseason
well they.

Speaker 4 (48:21):
Are AND i think then the next follow up question, Is,
okay tomorrow is the last game At Dodger stadium this.
Season how many changes do you make to the. LINEUP
i think that maybe you make a move at the
bottom part of the lineup and maybe you end up
Sitting pies and then you Put Alice call in. There
obviously they have Had call take the at bat at

(48:43):
the end of the game. Tonight maybe that's a bit
of a foreshadow of what they could do.

Speaker 1 (48:46):
TOMORROW i think you have to Drop bets in the.
LINEUP i don't think you can bat him second. Anymore
you can't do.

Speaker 4 (48:52):
It so that's the thing so it's a fair. Question
here's WHAT i would. SAY i still think with the
three batter minimum and the way that you set things,
up that you want to have a righty Separating otani And,
freeman do you do you move Up Will? SMITH i,
think and you, know, Again mookie is so important to this,

(49:12):
team you. CAN'T i don't. Know it's a great, question
and it's something that that you probably think about with
in almost any other, situation AND i think they will
think about this, tonight by the, way that that is
something absolutely. Consider but the QUESTION i have is who
do you like in that two? Spot to ask? Her

(49:33):
An endez runs hot and cold, too maybe maybe you
put him, there maybe maybe you know to ask her a.
SECOND i guess you could also Go Will smith if
you those are really the only two guys THAT i
would say that are right handed in The dodger lineup
that you feel comfortable enough to work that in between

(49:55):
the two of. Them it's Too Alan. CALL i think
you haven't seen enough out of. HIM i do think
that might be the move to the sip pies and
to Put call in the. Game but that's but you're
not gonna Put call into the two spot for, me, SO, i,
yes you consider. It but but if you're gonna Move

(50:15):
mooki down and and maybe maybe you hope that you
get a little different kind of that bat out of,
him if he's maybe he's maybe you neither put him
right ahead or right After Max. Monsey you, Know monthy's gonna.
Work you're gonna that for the most, part it is
gonna be on base a. Bunch i'd put. HIM i
would consider if you're gonna Move taoskar, up then maybe

(50:37):
you Move tao up and then you Put mooki in
front Of mounsey as a way of kind of Activating
mooky a little. Bit you, Know monthy likes to see
a lot of. Pitches maybe you hope THAT looki gets on,
base maybe hoping that he can. Steal put the, ball
you put the ball in. Motion you got to get on,
base guy In. Monthly that's something to think about for. Me.

(50:58):
Uh but that's that's that's the one that that is
The morosi approved. Recommendation if you're really going to shake it,
up if you're really gonna shake it, Up, dodgers that's
WHAT i would consider. Doing tayo. Up he's swift where
he's at and then Flip mookie down and connect them
up With uh With mounsey and hopes that that gets them. Activated,
YEAH i.

Speaker 3 (51:16):
Mean cause you, know generally when we have our conversations
about Ta oscar Or, hernandez he's going to give you
some he's going to take away you just hope he's
giving you enough at the plate uh in the head
at least With freddy behind.

Speaker 7 (51:28):
Him.

Speaker 4 (51:29):
Correct and so the other, thing, too is when you
think about, that And i'm just kind of talking to
this out loud, Here dodger, fans feel free to weigh
in and call the station let us know how you
feel about. It by the, Way i'm Just i'm just
now advertising phone calls as a, guests which is probably
the First i've ever done. That but here's the thought,
is if you Have tao, higher and if you're going

(51:50):
to consider putting putting in a defensive replacement for, him
it's easier to do that for someone who's batting that
high in a. Lineup then you can maybe sneak that
one extra bat out of him in the six or
seventh inning and then defense for. Him that, way you're
not waiting for them to come up deeper in the,
lineup and then you get one less inning of the

(52:11):
higher defensive value by making the defensive. Replacement this is
the kind of stuff we think about late.

Speaker 1 (52:15):
At, night all, Right so thinking about this late at,
Night game, five we Got, Snell we got, You, Savage
John Paul morosi complete the sentence. Tomorrow in game, FIVE
i Expect, BLANK.

Speaker 4 (52:31):
I expect The jays to keep hitting and AND i
know that sounds maybe a little bit, unexpected give given
the quality Of snell and how dominant he's. BEEN i
just think that The jays put some really good at
bats out, there AND i Realized Blake snell is not
a generic, lefty, okay but they've already seen him. Once

(52:53):
and and, You, savage, man it's not gonna surprise me
at all if The Blue jays go out there and
win this game. TOMORROW i know that that might sound,
surprising BUT i think that, You savage backed up now
by you might Have hoffman for more than an. Inning
Maybe laura's back and Play bassett probably is still. Available

(53:18):
varlin didn't have to throw that many. Pitches SO i
think you tell, You, savage, look, buddy you, got you
got five. Innings give me everything you got and then
we'll figure out the remaining. FOUR i think that's that's
probably the way you do. It he has not thrown
on regular rest all that, often AND i JUST i
think that after Seeing, snell just look at the body

(53:39):
language on the on The Blue jay hitters. TODAY i
don't Think glad he didn't seem. Nervous bashett didn't seem.
Nervous clement didn't seem. Nervous bargar put together some really
good at bat's. KIRK i, mean these, guys they're, pros
and they were down too old to The. Mariners now
that now that The dodgers are a better team Than,
seattle they, are but this is something That jason been

(54:00):
comfortable to. Him and they Lost game five on the
road in just devastating. Fashion they came back in the
one of the next two. Games so it's the fact
that this win tonight guarantees the series goes back To
toronto is massive AND i think takes a little bit
of pressure off The, jays who now have the. Momentum
it's some good feelings Entering game. Five, well we, guys

(54:21):
we've got a, great great world. Series this is what
you sign up for when you show up and when
you get involved in you're a baseball, fan you love
A world series like this is being viewed by people
all around in the. WORLD i saw like thirty some
million people Game game.

Speaker 3 (54:36):
One just great for the, GAME i love it AND
jp if nothing else out of all of, this we've
got a superstar that's emerged that we always knew, About
Vladimir Guerrero, junior but for the casuals they've been introduced
to him other than he's just his Famous hall Of
fame father's.

Speaker 4 (54:52):
Son we're probably gonna eventually remind people and talk to
people and, say, oh, yeah you, know you know he
played baseball. Too he's played goofball. Player, REALLY i, mean
like this guy's he's specially and the thing is, too
so he's On he's playing relevant games on the world

(55:14):
stage at an earlier age than his dad. Did, obviously
his dad starts Out, montreal he goes to The. Angels
The angels never really make a deep run in terms
of threatening to go to The World series in the
years that his dad was. There then he makes The
World series in twenty ten with The, rangers and he
almost forgets that he was on that team just because
of how quick That World series Was But Vladdie junior

(55:38):
is rising to the. Occasion he homers off Of. Otani
that's a massive moment for him in his. Career and
he's been doing it all months. Long he now has
the single season record for home runs in the postseason
with The Toronto Blue. Jays just really impressive year all
the way around for. Him he picked it up in

(55:58):
a big way in the second. Half up now he's
playing like a. Superstar he's obviously THE ALCS. Mvp and
and it's not just the slugging you saw, yesterday the
amazing throw across the diamond To clement to get a crucial,
out the great slide to score from first, There he's
just he's doing it. All he is a total, player and,

(56:21):
man it's fun to watch when you get someone that
talented who's started to put it all. Together he's, Again
otani is one of. One but but But vladdie has
has shown that he belongs in the. Conversation is the
true among the truly great talents in the game right,
now he.

Speaker 1 (56:39):
Is one of the truly great talents in the game of.
Broadcasting he Is John Paul, MOROSI Mlb Network insider On
twitter At John. Morosi John paul is always. Appreciated we'll
