We'll help you get there an unmatched selection, fast, free shipping,
free road hazard protection, over ten thousand recommended installers ti
(00:47):
iraq dot com the way tire buying should be. And
right now, Mike Harmon, the biggest frame, the biggest refrain
in the world. The last couple of hours has been honey,
where is Amazon Pride him? Do we have it? I
gotta watch the game? Do we have Amazon Prime? What?
What kind of it's a streaming service? What kind of
(01:07):
streaming services do we have? Because we need Amazon. No,
not Hulu, not Holo, no no no, what no I
know not in Netflix? No no, oh, squid game, who
was coming? No? Do we have we have Amazon Prime
because there's no place else. I didn't get the game anywhere.
They all know they have Amazon Prime because they see
how the damn boxes show up every day. Yeah, but
(01:29):
do you have Amazon Pride? Do you have that? You have?
Can you watch television with it? You order from Amazon,
but can you watch television on Yeah? If you're ordering
Amazon enough to where the dude knows everybody in the
house on a first name basis, you should know you
have Amazon Prime. So I picks on the porch, I
pick up the package on the porch, I open it,
and I can watch the game. Yes, that's exactly how
(01:49):
it works, outstanding the presumption that everybody's just dumb. That's
the thing for me, Jason, is that the presumption that
every what he was an idiot and wouldn't be able
to find this. You need to send out flow charts
to each household in America. Where is it? I can't
find it? You know. The thing that gets me is
(02:12):
that you know because because right now you and I
watching this game, we're actually watching on Channel eleven here
in Los Angeles, watching on Prime. I paid for a damn. Well, fine,
I'm watching on channel eleven because I'm a Fox guy. Now,
I know you're supporting Amazon. I'm supporting Fox our employer.
You No, no, no, I'd rather go to Amazon. Fine,
(02:32):
that's you there if you get when you get fired tonight,
I'm gonna say, hey, listen, he knew, he knew the
Risks watch, he could he could have watched a game
on eleven. I'm gonna assume you knew that was coming anyway.
Oh yeah, we're just gonna tell Harmon that it's because
he watched a game on Amazon. No. But what I
wonder is that for restaurants and people and and and
(02:53):
and where you're going out to watch a game, not
not that you have to, because it's you know, it's
it's you know you can watch it. Oh if you
have streaming, but you know you want to go out,
or you're out at a bar, you want to watch
the game. Hey, you're going out to dinner. Hey, can
we let's sit someplace where you can watch the game.
I wonder what the percentages are of establishments that are
actually able to show the game, because you know, you
(03:15):
could walk in and go, hey, do you have the
game tonight. Oh what and you know, you get the person,
the the manager of the bar, going yes, how can
I help you? They got the big key ring and
everything like, yes, I'm gonna help you. Yeah, Chargers Chiefs.
Do you have the game? Uh? Yeah, football? What's it on?
And they get the big remote and they're trying to
find it. Oh, it's on Amazon Prime. Amazon they did
a deal that was published in August. This came out
(03:39):
that over three thousand bars, restaurants other businesses have a
deal between Amazon Prime and Direct TV. Okay, so if
they have Direct TV, if they have the package, they
can show them they're gonna have the game. But if
they don't have the package, you're out of luck. You're
watching hopefully you have a new TV in your establishments
and you can just go from the apps and stream
(04:01):
it on and now, and you'd probably have someone walking around,
uh and say did you go through us to make
sure you can were contracted to be able to show
this in your bar? And then you trug and say
give me the paperwork, let's figure it out. But with
most bars having updated their televisions in the last five
to seven years, they should be able to get the
apps and be just fine. Uh you think you would say,
(04:25):
But I wonder, I wonder if I'm trying to give
people credit for being smarter. I know the the trend
in our is that everybody's an idiot. But no, no,
stop for a second. You're the one. You One of
the most famous things you have said to me for
the last eight nine years is people are sheep people
or sad? You say people, Now it's something I'm giving
them credit for being. But no, no, they are cheap.
(04:46):
But in this case, they've already been led to the
Amazon Prime trough and they've been there a while. And
if you're a bar owner, you've figured out how to
jump through all these hoops to make sure you can
have fight and pay per views and whatever else. You're
leaving no stone unturned. So I don't I don't think
for a second these guys were and women running the
(05:08):
establishments were suddenly caught with their pants down, going, oh damnit,
Thursday nights not there. I think you might be surprised.
I think you know there's a percent are a bunch
of dopes question, and you're gonna say, I wonder if
that's gonna be a thing you're gonna see tomorrow when
we see what the ratings are gonna wind up being
and how they're gonna measure them. Still trying to see
just exactly how it's Well, you already saw the soft
(05:30):
shoe press releases and stuff. Trying to Hey, you know,
we're gonna try to capture numbers as best we can. Yeah,
they may be on the internet. We're in like the
the million. What's a good number of people watching this kid? Click?
By the way, there's just been a number of commercials
during this game. Well, hey, I don't know that I've
noticed it as much. Danny and I were talking about
(05:52):
that before the show, Like I like seeing commercials with
our friend Charissa Thompson as much as anybody. But come
on up, Amazon spent a lot of money on this.
You think they're not gonna chat in some commercials. Of
course they are. No. But I'm literally watching on Prime
and they're feeding me commercial of course they're going to
do that. This is it's just like watching the NBA
(06:13):
on t N T. Oh. Now here's gonna be another
minute and a half of snow here, sir, I'm gonna
get this every single commercial break. It's the same thing.
It's the same thing I've seen that. I'm ready for
that part. I'm ready to be just bludgeoned over the
head with here stuff we have going on Amazon. Don't
forget the final season of Marvelous Mrs Mazel is coming
in January. No that I'm ready for. Well, it's coming soon. Yeah. Uh,
(06:37):
don't quote me on that. I mean that's not that
on network broadcast, I mean globally here on Fox Sports Radio.
And now you're trying to retract it just that fast.
Come on, hey, I'm just saying, Okay, the the final
season is going to come out, hang on, hang on,
Mrs Mazel. They be they filmed it already, eight episode.
(07:00):
It's likely sometime the end of this year, maybe next year.
That's where we're at. Okay, okay, late twenty two or
in the early yes, there you go. Okay, it's the sixties, man,
What does that mean? While we are and everybody's trying
to figure out Prime because I could just see tomorrow
(07:20):
my dad. What's going on? Dad? I gotta figure out
Apple TV for baseball, Amazon Prime for football? What did
Sanders do? All my golfers are going to the live Tour?
I can't find that anywhere what's happening. My dad's gonna
be really depressed. All the places I go to find sports,
it's all this new fangled stuff. Now it's like everybody
(07:42):
in the eighties trying to figure out the VCR So
record eight o'clock. Wait, that can record the tape can
be two hours, four hours or six hours? How is that?
What do you? I don't understand. So while that's going
on right now, a pretty entertaining game, it looked like
the Chargers we're on the cusp of really he putting
a stamp on this game. Up seventeen seven. Patrick Mahomes
(08:04):
through two balls that could have been intercepted. One was
negated on a penalty, one was negated. He has gone
on to throw a big touchdown pass that he just
completed to make the score seventeen fourteen. It was a
great play. Look, he's spreading the ball around like he
said he was going to do. Justin Watson one on
one coverage. Justin Watson makes a great catch and so
(08:27):
now instead of the Chargers getting out there potentially up
you know, twenty seven or seven, it's seventeen fourteen. Midway
through the third quarter. Yeah, what you saw the eye
test from the first half. Chargers much cleaner. You saw
the big start from Mike Williams. He had five catches
in the in the first quarter and then came alive
again here in the third, like Brampton came alive. Uh,
(08:50):
even with Lindsley out he was being checked for a
knee injury on that drive to get things started here
that that gave them the seventeen seven lead. Uh. And
then we're on fourth. Occasionally went for it on fourth
and one with Austin Ekeler picked up three and then Uh.
The throw from Herbert to Williams is about as good
(09:10):
as you're gonna see. The concentration from Williams with a
guy that could have been called for passing affairs like
three different times. Uh, and still got the ball in
and made the play. But Mahomes comes right back. You
had a ball trapped against the ground that everybody assumed
was an interception. Nope, run it back the other way. Uh,
and then completed the drive. So a little bit on
(09:32):
even for the Chiefs, and some questionable play calling the
Adherents and love of the run package early that it's like,
all right, what's the chess match that you're trying to
play here, Andy Reid, I'm giving you the benefit of
the doubt, even if it's not necessarily working. But we'll
see now that the second half is on. Well, the
one thing that has been working so far for the
(09:54):
Chiefs is the way they have structured their offense, because
you knew they were gonna take a little bit of
a hit, because look, they don't run the football all
that well, right, Clyde Edwards Hilaire did not suddenly turn
into the next great running back. They run the ball
now as as a necessary evil. And Mahomes has been
spreading the ball around, which is what he said was
(10:15):
gonna happen. Hey, we got a lot of fee we
got a lot of mouths here, a lot of guys.
I just have to find the right player. Now, you
knew Travis Kelsey was going to be his number one guy.
And here again the most targets of the game over
everybody else. But look at it, nobody else has more
than two catches sixteen completion. Now he's sixteen out of
one for a buck seventy three and two touchdowns. He
(10:37):
is doing exactly what they needed to do. And for
all the doom and gloom and it was gonna be
the the the death of the of the Chief's offense.
You know, we told you it's not the death. It's
just gonna be. They have to find a new way
to do it because the first half of the of
the Mahomes era was Mahomes is not getting paid a
lot of money, so he could have a lot of
stars on the team. We could pay Tyreek Hill, we
(10:58):
could pay a lot of guys, bring players in. It's awesome.
But when you're paying your quarterback fifty million dollars a year,
you have to make choices. Well, we're not gonna be
able to resign Tyree Hill, so let's go out and
replace him with somebody for a year and get draft picks.
And that's what they've done. Juju Smith Schuster. Hey he's
coming in for a year. Maybe he's gonna be good,
maybe not. But this is how they have to build
(11:19):
the team now, because when you're paying a quarterback, you
have to find other places where you can scrimp and
save and get by. And if Mahomes is your best player,
maybe you don't need a great wide receiver one great guy.
Because you watched how it is was the last couple
of years with Tyreek Hill and it wasn't good enough.
Maybe teams have figured out the Chief's offense a little bit.
We're gonna give you somebody over the top for Tyree
(11:41):
Hill if we can pressure Mahomes with just the defensive
line and not just now the next evolution of a
guy who has been the best quarterback in the NFL
and is still the best quarterback in the NFL because
it has been seamless from last year with an offense
that was Hill Kelsey and that's it too. Now Okay,
it's Kelsey and Schuster and it's McKinnon and it's Edwards
(12:01):
Hilaire and it's Hardman and this is how it's worked.
And through six and a half quarters so far, he
has been fantastic. And so for all the look, for
all the problems, the Chiefs are gonna have uh scoring
points on offense. I never thought that was gonna be
one of the things which it was gonna be a
different way for them to gel. And the only question
was how fast could it be done, how fast would
Mahomes be able to adjust? And so far there's been
(12:24):
zero adjustment at the Chief's offense is still humming. Yeah,
I think the one big thing that we'll watch from
this offense and to this point, the handoff that we have, uh,
with just under six minutes remaining, as the Chiefs have
the ball back. Uh, they've run the ball now eleven times,
not effectively, but it kills clock, runs, game time, whatever else,
(12:44):
and maybe again chess matches to set things up. But
what you haven't figured out yet is that quick strike offense. Right,
These are gonna be longer, more protracted drives, and we
know that those can bog down. Here, you had a
couple of opportunit unities to vanquish Mahomes on drives and
penalties gave him the ball back up negated that interception
(13:07):
doesn't count up you trapped the ball. Sorry, Uh my
turn again? Oh touchdown me. Uh. So the moral of
the story is, uh, don't give him the ball back,
be smarter in the secondary, don't clutch and grab, et cetera.
Now we've had one or two calls I can count
one on on both sides, uh that were just awful.
(13:29):
One penalty on the Chargers secondary, and then there was
another that they said, well he was blocked in the
Mahomes No, no, dude got at his legs you can't
tell me he dove through a guy with three fingers
on his collar and that he was thrown like he
was a superhero. No, I'm not buying that. So yeah,
two calls that really stood out. But for the Chiefs,
(13:52):
the big play threat has to come back in at
some point to this offense other than Mahomes is gonna
find time and then eventually gut you, which we've seen
a couple of Mike gets swollen dome, but the death
of the Kansasy Chiefs offense t J greatly exaggerated. In
the words of Mark Twain. Be sure to catch live
(14:13):
editions of The Jason Smith Show with Mike harmon weekdays
at ten pm Eastern, seven pm Pacific. I know Travis
Kelsey is a superstar, but I really don't want to
be Travis Kelsey right now. My goodness. Uh there, oh,
Chiefs have the football at the charger three yard line.
(14:33):
Mahomes was able to scramble around and find Kelsey wide
open down at the five, and Kelsey kind of tried
to leap up into the end zone and he got
picked up and body slammed. The ball pops out. Of course,
it hits the ground, so the play is dead. The
Charges recover the fumble, but uh it was ruled down.
So the Chiefs have the ball at the five and
(14:54):
you saw Kelsey stand up like, whoa, I I need
a minute. I kind of need a minute after that
because he got picked up in body slam. That was
a wrestling bump if he ever did. I mean that
was the rest of the Road Warriors and and pick
your favorite, uh big man of the eighties and nineties
with that kind of move, who Derwin James just picks
(15:15):
him up and it's like the It's like, what was it?
Who had the pile driver here? Grabbed the guy from
the back and would and would would throw him down
and land on top of him? Right? Who had that move? Who? Who?
Because that's what it was trying to think of which
it was the it was the tombstone pile driver, which
was the the undertaker, but you know very various, Uh No,
(15:38):
but who had the one where the instead of picking
them up and throwing them down and they hit the
they hit the canvas, they would pick them up and
they would fall on they would they would leap and
they would fall on top of them. That was what
that move was by Derwin James. That's what that's that
one will say this. It is good to see uh
Derwin James able to be out there and throw his
body around, no question about it. But yeah, we'll we'll
(16:00):
research our old wrestling finishing moves for that one, because
I've got a lot of things running through the head.
But you want to get it right, you know, you
don't have to have it instantaneously. We'll we'll bring that
one back because that is a play uh that get
checked up. Uh the goal line stand by the Chargers.
We are going to the fourth quarter seventeen fourteen, the
(16:23):
Chiefs on first and goal could not get in the
end zone. Patrick Mahomes was nearly picked for a hundred
and two yard uh pick six, but the ball was
dropped a couple of I N T s by the Chargers.
Uh that haven't been cleanly picked that they're gonna look
back if they lose this game and go, man, we
had it. My Homes like Jason Jimmy Garoppolo will give
you a couple of each game. Yeah, and you know what,
(16:47):
they didn't catch up. We lea got stuff on Jimmy.
I'm just saying like that's always the criticism of some
of these quarterbacks. It's like, none of none of these
other elite quarterbacks ever get away with a ad throw.
Mahomes has gotten away with about six of them tonight.
He has. It's he has. He's kind of had a
had a Brett Farve night. I mean not I mean
(17:09):
on the field, not all the craziness, ridiculousness, and how
bad a guy he is that we found out. We
already knew he had his own issues and it was
a bad guy in in some regards. Now it's just
taken to a whole dirt bag level. But he is
so I mean, I think four passes tonight that could
have been intercepted that the Chargers, for one reason or another,
they have been able to get either a penalty or
(17:30):
the ball hits the ground. I mean that's that's four
times where he was given it to you, and three
of them have been in the past like eight or
nine passes. Just remember, Jason, the inches are all around us,
like it's the six inches in front of your face,
all right. So while this secured the ball six inches
in front of their face, he's running the other way
and dancing into the inch. And if the Jets had
(17:52):
better players, they'd be undefeated about that. So again, going
to the fourth quarter, Chargers lead the chief seventeen four team.
This audio has just come up and it makes its
way around the internet today. It is Russell Wilson miked
up from Monday night football against the Seattle Seahawks. Gene no, gene, gene. Uh.
(18:13):
It's him on the sideline during the game and he
is trying to exhort the defense or the player. I'm sorry,
he's trying to exhort the players on the sideline to
let the defense know if it's a run or a pass.
This this is amazing that this actually happened in an
NFL game, and it's one of the best quarterbacks in
(18:35):
the game who's in his mid thirties that is telling
his defense to do it. Take a listen, hey, thann line,
run a path. Hey, you gotta let him know, come on,
commit to it. You gotta let's go. Gotta let him
know what a pass, run a pass, let him know
nine six, let him not run a pass. Let him
go run a pass nice and low. Okay, all right, now,
(18:59):
let's let's let's break this. DEA team is what this
This gets to the heart of who Russell Wilson is.
So we have the conversation about this craziness and then
we have the heart of who Russell Wilson is. All
right now, yes, is what he's saying. Something you should do, Yeah,
because I remember doing it when I was a freshman
(19:20):
and everybody's playing organized football for the first time and
you don't even know which end is up and you
need you know, you would yell out pass if the
quarterback was dropping back to pass right. That was the thing.
It was past. Okay, So the defenders new passes coming
because you can't see pass a line of scrimmage. You're
on a dusty field, the players are taller than you. Yeah,
I get it when you're early on and you don't know, okay,
(19:42):
pass back earlier today talking about how he can't see
anything because he I just throw it up and hope
Tyree can catch you. You can't see me. I can't
see you. Man. Hey, we're all we're all John Cena's.
We're all gonna be John Cena when you can't see me.
So that I get when you're thirteen years old and
you're fourteen years old and you're playing football, because I
(20:03):
remember that I remember it was pass. You know, Pat? Okay,
I know, Pat, you wouldn't yell anything for run. You
would just yell pass for pass. Right, So I get that.
This is the National Football League, all right, this is
the NFL. I'm pretty sure players when they see the snapper,
they know what kind of play it is. By the
way the person is blocking, you're you're I mean, they're
(20:24):
not gonna suddenly go, Okay. If I'm a cornerback and
I'm playing one on one and I hear a guy
yell out run from the sideline, I'm gonna leave my
wide receiver and just run in because what if you're wrong?
I mean, I mean, well, I don't understand what Russell Wilson.
I I get that, Okay, when you're learning football, this
is a thing. But runner pass I mean I've never
(20:45):
heard this before. And and if if this is a
thing in the NFL, then other teams will be doing it, right,
I mean, this wouldn't be something that that's been met with.
Whoa runner pass by? Really? Runner pass? He's telling people
on the sideline make sure you yell runner pass. I
bet his teammates looking at him going yeah, whatever, man,
just whatever, Just just sit over there. Just just sit
(21:05):
over there. Just don't tell me what to yell on
the field, man, I don't like. Just just go okay,
I got other stuff that's going on. Just go just
go sit and look at look at video, look at
the iPad, and see what's going on for the next
time we're out there. But this gets into the heart
of who Russell Wilson is. Russell Wilson's entire career, the
guy has been two things. He's been image conscious more
(21:26):
than any other quarterback until Aaron Rodgers the last year
or so. And he's always led in a very awkward way.
All right, for the last ten years. What have you
heard about Russell Wilson's leadership. You've heard players kind of
give you a sidelong glances and answers because he's just
kind of weird and he's awkward. And there's so many
(21:47):
stories and instances of can you believe Russell Wilson said this?
Can you believe this? Look? Just look at what he
did last week? Right, he's warming up for the game
and he's standing in the middle of the field with
his eyes closed, his arms out, spinning around while camera
gets video of him doing this. What is he doing.
What is he doing? Why? Why are you standing in
the middle of the field spinning around like this? Are
you showing me? Do you want people to see? Hey,
(22:08):
I'm in some kind of zen state. This is the
image I want out for me. This is how I lead,
I get myself. I'm ready to lead my troops into
battle here on on Monday night. What is he doing
practicing high fives when he is coming out of the
tunnel and there's nobody there. That that video that went
viral last week and then he hit it again. He's
he's image he's so image conscious and he's awkward. And
(22:30):
the Seahawks have never talked about what a great leader
he was. No teammates ever talked about what a great
leader he was, how we had to follow him. If anything,
you had players questioning Russell Wilson, right, Richard Sherman very vocal, Hey,
he's Pete's guy. He's pete s guy. Turned out he
wasn't Pete's guy. So it was he was he was,
he was, he was never he never was talked about like, hey,
(22:53):
you know what Brady did here? Do you know what
Mahomes did here? Do you know what Cam Newton did
on this play. Do you know he was never talked
about like that. Never, It's never. Hey, this guy is
so special because of this. Russell Wilson is a phenomenal
quarterback and he's doing it as as as a for
ten years now as an undersized guy that's able to
find a way around and continue to be as as
(23:15):
agile as he is now in his mid thirties as
he wants is in the early twenties. And that's a
big thing. And the guy is really good, but all
the other intangibles that go along with it, it's just
awkward and it's weird. And for the first time, after
this game and seeing how it went, he doesn't get
the ball back, and now you're gonna get these stories
of the awkwardness with Russell Wilson. Honestly, for the first time,
(23:39):
I can see its failing in Denver because his brand
of leadership and play may not translate because he's coming in. Okay,
you're our leader now. He he was brought in as
the savior. You are the savior of this team. And
if we get an image of you that tells me
you're really, really care so much about how your portrayed.
(24:01):
You care so much about the videos to get out
there of you. You care so much about what people
are saying and writing about you, and when you try
to lead, you're sitting on the sideline and you're telling
me to yell runner pass. What the hell, man, I
don't tell you what to do. For the first time,
I can see his leadership style not meshing. And if
the winds don't happen, it can get out of it
(24:23):
can get out of whack really fast, and it can
be not quite to the point where it's acrimonious, where
it's what can we really do to make Russell Wilson
fit in? Because we brought him into lead and be
this guy and he's not that guy, and we have
to kind of maneuver around his personality a little bit.
Like I said, for the first time, I can see
the Broncos and the Russell Wilson thing failing because of that. Well,
(24:46):
I told you it was gonna fail before that, and
it had nothing to do with the cringeing TikTok videos
or this or the fact that he didn't fight for
the football. I do like that that became a talking
point three days after we did it live as an
Happen on Monday night. But hey, you know you can't.
You can lead people to the well. Uh, they don't
(25:07):
always necessarily drink the good stuff. But it's this video
is one that when I first saw it and I
just let it run on repeat, just shaking my head,
going why, just why? To your point, yeah, it's it's
youth football of coach wanting to make sure you're in
the game, paying attention to the game, and maybe there's
a little bit of support, help or or at least
(25:30):
the identification of it all as you may be in
there off of you know, second unit or injuries or
whatever else happens. But it's it's the type of thing
that bit by bid, it's the is Russell the guy?
Canny be the guy? Because we want wondered that for
a decade, right, how much is Marshawn Lynch? How much
(25:52):
is the defense? And then Russ made plays. It don't
take anything away from him, but trying to figure out
and terms of that giant pie of who gets credit
between Pete and Lynch and the defense and Russ. I mean,
how do you split that up? It's not hey, it's
Russ carrying us to victory like a lot of other
(26:14):
quarterbacks that you could say have had such big, big efforts.
But for the Denver Broncos, it's it's difficult proposition in
the division to try to roll up and crawl out
of the abyss. And I think it Monday was indicative
of red zone situations. I know you want to run
the ball. Why is the ball not in his hands?
(26:37):
Especially after the first fumble, you get the second fumble,
different runner, And then at the end of the game,
you don't play to win the game. Gotta bring herm
in for that one. You didn't play to win twitter
at how about a fresca Mike gets swollen down the
Jason Smith Show with my best friend Mike Carmen. Hello,
there we go, There we go, Tish while he got
(26:59):
her edwards fast on that night. So I mean, and look,
and it's it's not just the situation of hey, okay,
Russ has been this guy before and it's worked. Yeah,
okay in Seattle where he came up and he won
a Super Bowl. And when you do that, okay, we
can live with your flight. But he was already a
third round pick where he had he was bursting through
(27:21):
the ceiling that had been set for him and so
now you were playing with you know, forgive the phrase
house money. You're bringing brought in as a two D
forty million dollar franchise changing quarterback. Well that's the whole
thing is that, you know, coming in young and being
able to win a Super Bowl and achieve and and
show hey, I one of the best quarterbacks. All Right,
(27:41):
we can live with your awkwardness and you're weird vibes, right,
like this is what what are the Packers doing with
Aaron Rodgers? Right? They've been living with his weirdness for
a long time, So we could live with that. You're here,
but now you're brand new to a team. You're coming
in new and you, like you said, you're coming in
with that two forty million dollar contradies. We expect certain things,
and when you don't get certain things, Uh, it gets
(28:03):
a little more difficult to run because it's a relationship
between Wilson and the team and are the are the
players gonna follow him? Are they gonna buy into him?
Are they gonna buy into what he's got? Or are
they gonna say you do your thing, will do our thing?
And then that's not gonna work. All right? That that
the awkwardness of it and things getting weird. That's a
that's a that's a part and a big portion of
(28:24):
what goes on on the field, and it's you know,
you'd like to see him just come in and say, Okay,
I'm great, I'm taking over. We're gonna do all these
different things. We're gonna be more dynamic down the field.
And look, he played a good game on Monday night.
But now you you add all these weird things already
that would make Broncos fans and players scratched it and go,
this is this guy really? Okay, this guy's really in
the sideline yelling run. This is our is our two
(28:46):
million dollar quarterback, and he's busy telling me whether he
yelled run or pass. Really, that's what this guy is doing.
I mean, you need a quarterback to come and they
they're expecting a leader. They're expecting certain things from him,
and they may not get them. And if they don't
get them, that's mean when I say the whole thing
can fail, what the hell's the pune up? We are
the Broncos, the mighty mighty Broncos. Come on, let him

they do apply well. If you remember the Super Bowl
when the Seahawks lost the Patriots, that was the past
seven years has been. If the Seahawks had just given
the ball to mar Shawn Well first Thursday night football
game as Amazon Prime, It's gonna be if the Chargers
just gave the ball to Austin Nekela on the goal
(31:00):
line instead of throwing it. As you heard Steve de
Seger mentioned a few minutes ago, the Chargers on the
doorstep and Justin Herbert tries to jam a pass in
at the goal line. It gets picked off and turns
into a pick six. It's the Chiefs now with a
seventeen lead over the Chargers, six minutes left to go.
Kansas City has the football there at their own thirty
(31:21):
five yard Yeah, that one looks like it's an every
u a bigger thing on him than than on Herbert. Unfortunately,
it'll go down as a pick six and they don't
get credited against receivers that kind of dance into a route.
So we'll keep you updated here again. Fourth and six
for the Chiefs. It looks like the Charges are going
to get the football back. And oh, by the way,
(31:43):
like I said, when you ask a big question, sometimes
the universe answers for you just that fast, yep. One
of the big well, well, look, it's the big highlight
of the game so far. Travis Kelsey, catching a pass
down inside the Chargers five yard line a few minutes ago,
tried to vault up and over into the end zone
and instead got picked up by Derwin James, who pile
(32:03):
drove him into the ground. Kelsey got up, going, man,
I don't feel so good. Uh, And I said, who
was the guy that had that moved the pile driver,
moving the w w E w w F where he
would grab them and not just pile drive them, but
like leap in the air and fall on top of them.
I asked that question Mike Harmon and the Internet has answered,
(32:25):
because in my top trends right now, arn Anderson is
at the top because it was arn Anderson and it
had a move, was like like the spine busting, that's move.
I was thinking on Twitter, a guy big Greg in
Iowa because the way you kept describing, describing a pile driver,
his was more a belly to belly souplex with the
(32:46):
drive through you right, yeah, yeah, but so that that
was yeah, I mean technically, but yeah, we're lifting the
guy in and bulldog him into the ground or you know,
getting him vertical and then whatever. I mean, million different variations.
(33:09):
I would not have gotten arn Anderson off of your
your description, but I digged that. The Internet replied and
and loved life because now we get to talk about
the four Horsemen for the rest of the night. Wait,
pestilence famine. Oh oh oh, I'm sorry. You mean you
mean the w w F four Horsemen. Well go back
to the n w A Tully, Blancher, Barry Wyndham, Rick Flair.
(33:33):
Only in arn Anderson. I mean, they had a lot
of guys that popped through all the time. But you
know who else is winning Twitter? Kevin Durant because he's
watching the game and he was mad at as Sante
Samuel Jr. Quote, I know your daddy mad at that drop, Sante.
That's six. I can't believe that. Uh that Kevin Durant
(33:55):
actually did it with his own twitter and not a burner.
Now we now have a scary moment on the field
as you and I talk live here as justin Herbert
got driven to the ground. He didn't look so egregious
on first blush, but he's holding his chest. Yeah. He
(34:16):
completes a third and two pass for the first down,
and he is holding the left side of his chest.
Right now, he is lying on the back, has his
left foot up in the air holding onto it. They
are out looking at him. He's moving, He's moving around
and moving his arms and legs. Uh. He gets hit
and he throws off kind of off his back foot
(34:38):
and he gets hit and is driven into the ground.
I don't know if it looks like the helmet, uh, oh,
I bet you that's what it was. It looked like
Herbert came down because the helmet of the player that
I can't tell who it was that that that sacked him.
But the helmet gets him under the armpit and as
he falls to the ground, he falls on top of
(35:01):
the helmet, and so I bet you that's what it was,
holding that part. I wonder if that's I mean, not
to play doctor or anything, but that's like, that's like ribs.
That could be like broken ribs. I mean, we we
went on the radio. We're supposed to play doctors, lawyers,
and any profession that the topic requires. But that's look,
that's looked like. What happened is that he came down
(35:21):
on the helmet, on that on that part right there
and that and that makes sense why he's holding that
part of his body. M hmm man. Yeah. They showed
the shot of change Daniel warming up as they went
into a commercial break. Thirty seven to sixty one, two
and one for Herbert, tonight Mahomes and thirty three to
(35:43):
one and two sev Off that pick six five O
nine remaining. And now, who was it, I forget in
our guillotine league that did five hundred and thirty dollars
on justin Herbert to be their quarterback. Who was that guy?
I just spent a lot well and I took the
philosophy that worked for me last year was the alright,
(36:03):
barely survived Week one, Week two, come back over the top,
grab a bunch of guys off waiver. If you have
to overbid, you overbid to try to secure your place.
And now I'm watching that money spent when we continue
to speak. Next, is justin Herbert back in? Is he out?
Do we have the first big injury of the regular season.
(36:23):
Keep it right here. This is Fox.
