Tirerac dot com the way tire buying should be. I'm
on drop my pants right here. It is a live
drop Friday here on the show. As you know, all
the drops replaced by us doing them lie huge boner,
I hate that song. Uh. And we are in the

(01:06):
Mobile tire Act dot Com studios tonight, as Mike Harmon decided,
the Bears traded the number one pick. I'm flying as
far east as I could get. I'm leaving the United States.
He is in Florida waiting for a flight to land
Sumard the Atlantic Ocean. I didn't think it was all
the way out of the United States. I mean, come on,
now you're on your way. You're a Florida, You're the

(01:27):
most eastern part. Now you're flying. Are you you're getting out?
I understand the Bears. Did the Scared Bears trade the
number one pick? You're scared Bears thing? I saw the tweet,
and I refrained. I had people asking me if I
was alive on Twitter because I didn't have a litany
of tweets or responses to yours. All I kept sending
was pictures of Carson Wentz in a Jets uniform. Do

(01:49):
I put Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady in a Dolphins
uniform for you? Or we'd wait a few more minutes. Listen, listen, dude,
you know okay, ay, no matter what, that's not happening.
Be let's stick tun up, Bears, because I'm gonna help
you a little bit here while I also criticize you.
Is the this is the genius of me. I could
help you while I criticize you. The Scared Bears trade

(02:11):
the number one pick and I love what they got
in return. Both of those things can be true. So
how about that? So it's like I'm hugging you with
one hand and I'm stabbing you with an ice pick
in the other. How does that sound okay? Is that
we're going full gladiator? Yes, in this scenario, I am
Russell Crowe and you are joking Phoenix. Are you not entertained?

(02:32):
That's not a drop on the show. That's just you
saying that it is now. We do not have that
as a drop. We do a live drop Friday and
it can be anything. It's just an excited oh no, no, no, no,
anything is possible. No, hang on, tell to listen. Drop.
Live drop Friday is a drop we play on the

(02:54):
show that we do it live. It's just saying whatever
we want to. That's that's not what this is. It's
live drop Friday. But dad was Frostburg all energized and
jacked up? The dude Joel Bead Are you kidding? Frostburg's
wearing at Joelle and beat Sixers Jersey? Because the Sixers
beat the Blazers, the Lakers are gonna move up again.
I mean it. The Lakers could just not play the

(03:16):
rest of the season and they'd end up the three seat.
We're bad. That's almost like a screen do it all.
Nobody's winning around, they're just they're just kind of treading water.
And hey, ab has a big game, and oh look
we're twelve. Oh look we're ninth. Oh look we're seventh.
I mean are beating the Timberwolves right now as we
sit here. Oh my frost that's all. That's all Frostburg's

(03:40):
doing is now he's quitting his job as as radio
producer for the Chargers and now he's seventy sixers radio producer.
He's sending me all these Joel embad stats. Oh and
the winning shot and don't forget that's the play of
the night, and all the all we're getting all ready
because Joel Mbaja's a new best friend Joel thank the
Joker and beats the MVP stat for days. But yes,

(04:02):
the big story, we'll get to Aaron Rodgers in the
big development coming up in a few minutes. But the
scared Mayors trade the number one overall pick two the
Panthers for a very impressive haul. They get Carolina's first
round pick at number nine. They get a late second rounder,
a first rounder next year, a second rounder the year
after that end they get DJ Moore. So this is

(04:26):
what they get. And trading the number one overall pick,
they get a first and a second this year, a
first next year, a second in twenty twenty five, and
they get DJ Moore. That is a hauls. Let's let's
do the good part of this first, because it's Friday, buddy,
and I love you and I want to be happy
for This is a really impressive haul. I mean, this
is them taking advantage of the Panthers desperation, because look

(04:47):
the Panthers. When you have a newish owner who wants
to make a big splash, you knew this was a
team you were going to be able to take advantage
of and say, yeah, I don't know, maybe a little bit,
maybe another pick. I don't know, ab dj Moore. I mean,
this is really impressive to move down eight slots when
you know half the picks are going to be quarterbacks.
You're not taking a quarterback anyway. So now a first,

(05:10):
a second, another first, a second, DJ Moore. This should
be able to It's a big gamble, but this should
be able to rebuild the Bears very very quickly. I
am really happy I have. I do not have bad
things to say about what they got. The Panther's well overpaid,
but they're overpaying for what they think is going to
be a generational quarterback. But the Bears getting as much

(05:30):
here this early, and not even like right before the
draft where teams are getting desperate. I mean, this is
really impressive. And I don't have a butt until we
get for a few minutes. But I don't have a
butt about this. And there's no we have a fumble
I have gotten. Stop, that's not I've never seen. Yeah,

(05:53):
but I I know I'm there's no but about what
they got in the deal. I love what they got.
I love, you know, being able to address a position
of need at wide receiver because d J. Moore is terrific.
Now their wide receiver corps allegedly is good, and they've
set up justin fields for success. Now at the other
draft picks, they can shore up other positions they need. No,
I love everything about the hall the Bears got. There

(06:15):
is no butt for that part of it. I love
what the Bears got. I love what they did. Yeah,
I mean, making the trade weeks ahead of the draft
a little bit surprising. I would think just waiting to
see how desperate teams truly would get. Warren Sharp at
Sharp Football had on Twitter just saying, hey, forget about
don't forget about the way the Panthers have approached the

(06:37):
quarterback position these last couple of years, trading away a
second third, two fourths, a fifth, and a sixth to
assemble a quarterback room of Sam Sam, Sam Sam, the
already departed Baker Mayfield, and I got hurt in year one.
I don't know what I am met Corral. So you've
already seen them be willing to go into the vault

(06:58):
and say, all right, let's trade away and see what
we can do to cobble stuff together, much like Indianapolis
has gone to the veteran quarterback round of one of
these guys will work right, right, maybe not? And so
for this haul you get the second back that you
traded away from Claypool. Again, we juries out as to
how good he is. Likewise Dj Moore, when you pair

(07:18):
him up with a healthy Darnell Mooney, they're speedy. There's
not a lot of size there, so that's still a
little bit of a concern in terms of bringing in
a big body guy to go with Claypool. You think
cole Comet could take another step forward. But the Bears
going into this offseason, as much as you may like
and some folks hate just to feel that it's really

(07:38):
that muddled middle of quarterbacks. Right once we get to
QB ten to maybe twenty four in our NFL, it's
all right. Now, it's just to pick your poison and
how much upside a guy may have. Well, they decided
there's still two more years on this deal before we've
got to make a decision on his fifty year. So
let's go and try to build around it. Is Ryan

(08:00):
and Pole set a couple of weeks ago when all
the rumors about Fields game is like, look, we stunk.
We were a bad football team, So anything is on
the table. Well take it off justin Fields is your guy,
unless there's some blockbuster trade that comes on the heels
of this, which really would be magnificent for our business
and certainly for our show. But in the interim, the
Bears will be able to address a number of their needs.

(08:23):
Look and and that part of it, I love. We're
live from the Tirek dot Com studios. At the end
of your first year. Discover credit cards automatically double all
the cash back you've earned. That's right, everything you earned doubled.
Seriously see terms and check it out for yourself at
discover dot com. Slash match by I like to talk
to you for a few minutes about diabetes. This was
a great haul for the I love that part of it.

(08:44):
That part is separate from what I knew was going
to happen, because the haul in this trade is like
eating a lot of sugar. It is. And there's nothing
wrong with bringing in Brimley. There is, there's the exact
see the whole thing. I like what you do? You
know what's funny each other? I actually looked up my
Brimley date today, Your Brimley date? What does that mean?

(09:06):
Which is your age that he is? Oh? When cocoon
came out? When he did? Because people always go, hey,
you know my my Brimley date will be uh July
nine of twenty twenty four. Only birthday that matters today
is Chuck Norris is okay eighty three? Baby? And yes,
joke you saw you saw Bill Shatner in the airport?

(09:28):
I did. I didn't get to torment him and say
hey why am I why am I still blocked. But
I mean, then I see a headline and says, hey, quote,
I don't have long to live. It's like, okay, why
do you come glad? I saw him, So you didn't
walk up to him and say, hey, you block me
on Twitter and called him a legend, said thank you?
Oh wow wow for someone who blocked you. I would
not do that for Jamal Adams, who was blocked me onto,

(09:50):
I would not do that for him. I wouldn't do
that until he's a jan again. Uh well, yeah, I'll
trade Zach Wilson for Jamal Adams. You want to say,
you come on, come on, come on, but someone have
you trade away a sauce Gardner? But now, yeah, among
the things you won't be seeing. But you know me,
I would have kept this pick. I would have kept
this pick. And the Bears were scared, right, they were scared.

(10:14):
They were scared of what would happen if we What
they should have done is keep the pick in trade.
Justin fields. He still would have got a good haul
for him. He still would have got picks, and you
would have had potentially who was a generational quarterback in
Bryce Young, right, or you had any afford to do that,
with every Quartermack who might be a general, he might be.

(10:36):
You are picking first. You don't often pick first overall.
As bad as the Jets are, they don't pick first
every year, it just seems like they do. They've only
picked first a couple of times. Right, this was a
chance to get a generational quarterback where you like justin
fields but is justin fields. Trevor Lawrence is justin fields.
Patrick Mahomes, he's not justin fields? Is good? I like
justin fields. I think he's a good quarterback. But you

(10:57):
had a chance to draft number one overall, get a
guy who could be a generational quarterback and be able
to move on from your quarterback reset your quarterback clock
because now it's about building a championship team, and we
have the draft picks coming in and maybe Bryce Young
turns into the next Patrick Mahomes. Right, that's what they
could have done, but they didn't want to do it
because they were scared and paralyzed by what either of

(11:20):
the outcomes would be. If we pick Bryce Young and
he stinks and Justin Fields go somewhere and is great,
we're all losing our jobs. If we hold onto the
pick and we don't draft a quarterback and Bryce Young
is great, Well, guess what, we're all gonna lose our jobs.
How did you not pick Bryce Young number one overall?
Because the backseat driving on this story will be tremendously
negative and we'll call out the Bears. The only way

(11:43):
the Bears win in this situation is if they draft
Bryce Young, he is great. They trade Justin Fields he stinks, right, So,
but they're paralyzed by this. Be bold take the quarterback
number one they were. They stayed with the guy that
everybody questions about. They would have it fails, then they're
gonna get blown out in two years. They got two

(12:03):
years to build a team around them. All you heard what.
The offensive line sucked, Their playmakers sucked. The defense was
terrible all the way down the line. The only thing
that anybody had anything to good to say about it
all was Montgomery and Herbert and Justin Field's legs. So
why would you not try to build around this guy
when you don't have necessarily the generational guy? Hey, you

(12:28):
just gonna wow that I didn't describe the Chargers in full,
except you have Keenan Allen stats for days. The other guy, well,
but none of them could stay healthy. But you know,
Todd Ferman our guy. He'll join us later on tonight.
Immediately offshore, CJ. Stroud became the favorite as the number
one pick, so SA telling me that Bryce Young's guy.
And then you still have so many prognosticators that think

(12:49):
Richardson's the guy. So what are they gonna do? Take
out the dungeons and dragons die fifteen times and hopefully
get it right. No, I think instead, you got a
guy you think you can build it hang on. I
think what they do is their job as talent evaluators
and and say, okay, let's be bold and take the
guy we think could be it. Look but if you know,
but if you don't think that as good as Justin Fields,
why would you draft them? It's not how how do

(13:11):
you know? How do you know? Did you really do it?
You you were trading this pick as soon as you
got it. They were trading. I thought they were trying
justin Fields. Didn't you say that? Didn't everybody start trumpeting
that like it was Bart Simpson with all of the
mega boads. You thought Northwestern was gonna beat Penn State.
That didn't happen either. Look flanned and actually take a

(13:31):
good jump shot. It's not my fault that people are
are decided we're gonna run scared from Bryce Young because
of his height and his weight. I see what play that,
you know what? I'm sorry then, and we're gonna look
back and go, wow, we could have just let Peace go.
Why didn't we go get Patrick Mahomes. I don't know,
because he played for an offense that just threw the

(13:52):
ball the whole time, and you know, we didn't think
he was the same guy. Okay, great, So what you
decided to do is ignore three plus years of ten
and say, oh, he's short and he doesn't weigh that much,
but he weighs a little bit. No, we don't want
to do it. The Bears were gonna trade soon as
soon as it got too big for them. They were
trading this pick and they were gonna do it. Chance

(14:15):
that that's super Bowl quarterback? He's not. But this was
your chance to have. Okay, we have the chance to
get any quarterback we want in this draft. And if
Justin Fields was great, I would have said, yeah, okay,
Justin Fields is great. You don't eat a quarterback, but boy,
how great can you be? And how set can you
be a quarterback when if he's so great and you

(14:36):
still wound up with the number one pick. Let's realize
that quarterbacks elevate and quarterbacks elevate teams, And right now,
Justin Fields is a really good stat quarterback. He's a
really good fantasy quarterback. But he played most of the
season and you still wound up with a number one
overall pick. So is he really raising the level of
the team. That's what I would look at instead of well,
if we do this, if we did that, they were

(14:57):
moving this because this is what the Bears wanted. They
want to sit here right now and say this is
what we want to do. We want to show you
that we got such a great trade that nobody can
question us. Nobody can question what we did because we
got such a look at this. Wouldn't you have done this?
Of course, don't second guess us. That's exactly why they
did this. The Bears, Bears, Bears, Bear. We got more
on the Bears. More on this trade coming up next.

(15:19):
I can't wait to hangle O can't If that that
happed into you, how we've gone? Sorry, it's captain. If
that happens, I'll fly further East than Florida to it
to escape social media and what happens if them from
Brazil is Jason Smith? Uh so, why that I like

did you know since nineteen forty, the year Chuck Norris
was born, roundhouse kick related deaths have increased thirteen thousand percent? Wow,
thirteen thous cause of that sounds like one of those

(17:06):
CSI Miami David Caruso lines cause of death roundhouse Kick. Yeah,
I mean that's how the show Walker ended with like
ten thousand of them every episode. Well, it was when
that's really fit, and then he stayed in shape by
hanging out with Christie Brinkley. Come on, nobody's lifting the
high and tight jeans. He did that super Those things

(17:28):
were painted and it depends what's the last time you
ever wore a pair? Don't you see commercials now for
Gene don't even want look at these jeans. They're so
stretchy and bendy and you can pull them and put
them on and kinds of stuff. With Jens, those were
cowboy jeans. They're not just those big stiff jeans you
can barely walk in. It's like, oh my god, it's
like walking in leather. I can't even walk in these. Well,

(17:50):
now you got right, Yeah, you got a pair of
jaggings as in them. Jaggings was very nineties. Jaggings have
been around for a long time. These are those the
most comfortable. You'll throw all your old jeans away right now,
and the person holding the jeans they throw them away
in the garbage and take these jeans and put them
on it. Oh, it's how many closets full? Do you have?
To be honest? Oh, I used to wear jeans all

(18:12):
the time. Noggs, oh jo, no, no, no, no, no, no,
you don't wear jeans. Jaggings is not mine. You don't
own a pair of jeans. I used to wear jeans.
I'm not lying to you. Up until I was about
thirty five, I would say I wore jeans all the time.
I did. I wore jeans all the time. And then
I was like that was more like current people that

(18:33):
turned eighteen could vote. Man, Yeah, I like were jeans
all the time. Then I'm like, no, you know now,
oh yeah, running pants are I would always wear jeans
and sweats. That was my ding, jeans and sweats, jeans
and sweats and now running pants? Have you know jeens? Well?
But I look like I run because now that I
coached so much, I can't wear coming. That's a little coach.
I can't wear jeans on the field. No, And I

(18:53):
don't look like a coach. I look I just look
like a dad who's out there going. Everybody used the
bathroom and make sure you drink water. No, you can't
really that far from that. Yeah, I'm are you kidding?
I'm way far. I'm elite. I'm elite. I'm the Joe
Flacco of youth coaches. I am elite. And uh so
I can't do that. So I'm like so now running
pants and like Nike and it did have replaced my jeans.
I don't wear jeans anymore. Bad job by you gotta

(19:16):
have sub versatility. Maybe a pair of dress pants now?
And again, why would I need dress or whatever? You're
eating from the No? No, no, I'm actually dressed up
to go to the drive through at McDonald's. What you
don't have to wear pants? What do you think? Oh? Yes,
you do. That's families around. What do you what do
you think I'm eating right now? Good question? Big no,

(19:39):
Big mac Friday's Big glad. I'm glad you took it
into the show. I haven't had big mac. I haven't
had a big mac in like a week and a half.
I'm like, that's what you said the other day. My
body was and I still sounded healthy. I know, boy, Jason,
you sounded rich and very You are you really making great?
Your doctor probably tells you you can't stop them. It's

(19:59):
like those guys smoke cigarettes their whole life. Yeah, they
want to stop, and their doctor it's like, no, it's
actually healthier for you. Just knocked you up at this point. Yeah,
look you look, your body's going to revolt against you
if you quit these things. So just keep going, all right.
That's your relationship with a big back. That's if you
stop eating this now, that clogged arterie is really just
gonna move too quickly, kiddo. Yeah, I mean in your system.

(20:24):
You want to keep this going nice and slow, right,
Like here, let me show you what coastal erosion looks like.
And then suddenly he's got a PowerPoint presentation. This is
what your arteries look like. This is what it could
look like if you start eating vegetables. Oh my goodness,
look at that. It looks like a landslide. I can't
have that. I gotta go back to that. Here take
this big back on the way out, go ahead. Congratulations.

(20:46):
So while the Bears have traded the number one overall packs,
they scared bears. They were little scared bears. This like
care bears, except they're scared bears. Oh, you don't want
to pick a quarter We're too scared the other big quarterback.
News of that. Every time you do that, it fails miserably.
It's scared. They're scared, buddy, they're scared. I knew, we
knew they were gonna trade it. We don't want to
pick a quarter We don't want to not take a quarterback.

(21:07):
We just want to pick. There's something about being wise
and pragmatic that suddenly you're allergic to. Just could drink
another big Mac because you have the number one pick
in the drage. It is your chance to reset your
franchise that very few teams get. Even though it's seemed
like and you made a trade that brought a lot
of guys in, you made a trade. Now if you
are wrong on the quarterback, what would be because look

(21:29):
at the quarterback you had it. Like I said, justin fields,
a pretty good stat quarterback. Right, he's a pretty good
fantasy quarterback. But look at the bit I mean, they
still finished with the worst record of there's no so
usually think he's a stud and beyond reproach. And but
you know, we can't do that without having actually talked about,

(21:49):
you know, the games we watched, as opposed to a
couple of people in their highlight videos or whatever some
stat things spits out, Oh they ranked there, they ranked there.
Who the hell cares? Did you actually want any football?
I'm going to the computer to find out what it
thinks about Justin Fields. Computer what dearing and said? This
is no Justin Gields is two point two point two

(22:14):
two three point two two? Wait wait wait is Alec
Guinness and three quarterback rating? Pretty sure, Vince Scully is
not your computer. That was somewhere between Vincekully and Ali Guinness.
Oh murdered. If you get a computer that could spit
out stats in the voice of Vince Scully, because then

(22:35):
you would get stats and you would get a story.
You would get the stats about Justin Fields and only
was one game away from leading the league and rushing
for a quarterback and the fun the guy who could
have set the record for most yards rushing. Look at
that guy's hooves. He really run. Back in nineteen ninety one,
Randall Cunningham when was dating Whitney Houston, she wrote a

(22:56):
song about him, turned it into a number one hit.
Didn't we almost have it all? Here's the two two
pitch to Bellinger. I mean that's that's two. Bellinger's on
the Cubs. What the hell are you doing? But when
Vince Gully was announcing, he was announcing when Bellinger was playing. Okay,
just take it easy. But he gets into deep into
the stats, like this is when he hit on Wednesday
afternoons when the sky was blue under Cirellian blue skies.

(23:19):
He hit three eighty one under zombie apocalypse blue skies
when Aliens were attacking. Bellinger's batting average went up to
three seventy five. On all other great days, which is
like every single day he was hitting one twenty four.
Did you guys know the Lakers are back ball for
to Pleague? Okay, so Outsider's back. The other news today

(23:43):
is that the Packers are basically pushing Aaron Rodgers out
the door. The interview today with Mark Murphy tells you
all you need to know. We talked about this last night.
The Packers are pushing him out. There is no scenario
in which Aaron Rodgers is going to come back to
the Packers, right. Mark Murphy, who is the who is
the CEO of the team said quote, if things don't

(24:06):
work out the way we want them to, yeah, we'd
allow him to have him back. But the way we
want them too is him being okay with a trade.
We're hopeful we can reach a resolution that works not
only for Aaron, but for us. We want a trade.
Talking about Aaron Rodgers in the past tense, Aaron had
a great career here. Aaron will be in the Football
Hall of Fame and will bring him back and retire

(24:29):
his number. They have moved on. They are telling Aaron
Rodgers there is no future for you here. So again
the Jets or nobody has really become the only thing
for Rodgers because there's no other team involved. So the
Packers have said, Aaron, you are gone. But now as
confident as I was last night, Mike, now I'm thinking

(24:51):
there's only one thing going on right now that's going
to screw this up because Aaron Rodgers hasn't said yes
and you know, I'm nervous because he wants to say
yes when he can control the the news cycle and
we're going to get into selection Sunday in the tournament.
He doesn't want to share with them. So he's got
to make this decision soon and he hasn't yet because
I know what's going on. And this is what scares
me is that I know Rogers is asking for everything.

(25:16):
He is asking for things. He is he's asking for things. Look,
you heard Sauce Gardner. You know when when when him
and Bruce Hall and Garrett Wilson burned the cheese head
to try to get Aaron Rodgers to come yea and
they stood around the garments and take me back, take
me back, yes them and Frank Stallone and Sauce Gardner says,
I've heard about package deals going on. You know, Aaron

(25:38):
Rodgers values the people he plays with. He wants to
play with his friends. You know there's guys like Cobb
and Lazard and Baktari. This is what's going on right now?
Is I am sure he is asking the Jets for
everything before I say yes, this is what I want.
I want some of my friends. I want this because
I'm going to join a team right now. Are the

(25:59):
three guys who want to do it? We're burning the
cheese head in their backyard. For me, I want to
make sure I got some friends there to loser. What
are they doing? He's at just trying. This is how
you guys have no lives, no players nowadays. Man. But
but you got to go back to Murphy and where
he made his statements. It was an interview while he

(26:20):
was watching the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association girls basketball tournament
across the street from lambeau Field at the Resh Center Arena. Hey,
is there any reporter nearby? I'm gonna go walk over
there and make a statement on Aaron No. I hate
that guy. No, this is where like a press release
goes out. Hey, we have no new news on Aaron Rodgers.

(26:41):
But Mark Murphy will be across the street here at
this time if you'd like to go top to him
by the Rogers for sale jerseys. I'm gonna go get
himself some cheese cards and he's gonna sit out and
watch a little of a game. So for him in
the last row. So now you know they're pushing Rodgers
out and now this is the But this is the

(27:02):
part that scares me, is that now is when he's
asking for stuff. How much do you give him? What's
too much to give him? Is bringing in Alan Lazard
too much? What is too much? He's not everything? Yeah,
but is he friends with feeling? If he's not friends
with dealand he doesn't want him, right, if he's not
friends with a guy doesn't want him? Maybe we don't

(27:22):
know kicks. I mean, maybe Pat McAfee will host a
show and punt for the Jets. But he's out of
the circle right now, so he wants I mean, look,
this is where things can go sideways. And this is
the only thing that scares me is that the Jets
have talked to Aaron Rodgers. Rogers seems amenable because the
packers have said yes. The packers seem like this is

(27:43):
going to happen. They are urging Aaron Rodgers to say
yes of this trade. Mark Murphy saying you coming back
is not our top priority. This is all so now
Rogers wants to seize control himself by asking for stuff.
And this is the part that scares me, because is
he going to ask for too much stuff? And the
Jets are going to say, you know what, you're absolutely insane.
Beat it. We're gonna go sign Jimmy Garoppolo. That's what

(28:04):
scares me about this is because now we're at the
point where okay, Rogers has to say yes or no,
and now he's gonna ask for the moon, and he's
gonna ask for everything because you want me. And here's
what I want. You sign all these guys, you bring
all these guys in trade. I want this guy to
come in as my quarterbacks coach. I want this guy here.
I want this I want my own office on the
second floor because it works so well for Russell Wilson.

(28:25):
I want to have input. I want to be able
to call don't I want to be the offensive coordinator too, Like,
what's gonna be too much? That's gonna turn the Jets
and say, you know what, this just isn't worth it.
That's what I'm scared of. That's the only thing I'm scared.
Everything else is great, but now it's is what he's
going to ask for just be too much and then
that's where things could fall apart. That's the only thing
that scares me. Well, but that's the thing. Right you're

(28:46):
dancing with the devil at this point. So what's he doing.
He's coming for your soul and for the Jets. It's
I'm asking for everything you want all in. This is
what you get and you it's a lot of risk
reward prop position here for a guy who, based on
some of the rhetoric coming out of the year, right
our guy locking Forth thinks he's done. A lot of
NFL analysts watching this past year, I think he's done.

(29:09):
And if he's not done, he's a guy that do
you trust his buy in as one hundred percent because
right now you're pushing all the chips to the center
of the table that he's going to deliver one hell
of a run in twenty twenty three. And maybe that's
the case, and some of that language has to be
in there. All right, you're if we're gonna get you,
and we're gonna go and we're gonna bring in some
of your jackass buddies, and we're gonna bring in some

(29:32):
of these other things that you're asking for, build the
Darkness room, all those things. Then you have to show
up for this that kiss babies and shake hands and
go and meet up with all the local area Jets
fan grandmas and taste their cookies and all of those things.
And if he may not be amenable to that, he

(29:53):
also may have that slight percentage that maybe that sliver
is opening saying, you know what, I'm done with this.
I hate this anymore. And he walks, walks in the
earth like Kane and Kung Fu. Now the Miami Dolphins
or somebody else comes in and says, hey, Aaron, we
would love you for a year. Yes, I know, they
picked up to his option sixty million dollars. I'm sixty

(30:18):
million dollars or join the Jets. I'd rather lose sixty million.
It's what I mean. The Jets are nobody, right, the
Jets are nobody, And I mean that is a value
proposition you have to ponder. I mean, but you know,
only part because because it's I mean, really, the Jets
don't have nice things. They don't they don't get nice things.
I mean they could, like they could sign Aaron Rodger Rogers.

(30:38):
I wouldn't be surprised. He go to the press conference
says out, you know, and I signed this part of
my deal. I'm gonna throw Lefty this year. Wait what, Yes,
I always wanted to do it. I'm gonna play the
whole season throwing lefty. I'm excited about this challenge. I'm
working on it right now. I can throw a ball
about five yards very accurately lefty. So I'm excited to
do this. Like this is how it falls apart for
the Jets, and like, what is he going to ask for?

(30:59):
And the Jets gonna say a screw for this is
just too much. No, we we're not going to do
all of this for you. You asked for a couple
of things, We'll give it to you. This is the
this is the last hurdle ware it could fall apart. Well,
the other one is that he actually plays for you
and he stinks. Yeah, well, I'll worry about harm I'll
worry about that in September. Okay, that's okay. Be sure

live drop Friday, uh here on Fox Sports Radio, and

(32:03):
we'll get back into a big aspect of what went
on today with the Bears trading the number one pick
to the Today, big NFL news came in. Huge, huge
news came in that could affect Tom Brady and his
potential comeback if he wants to. Uh. The Dolphins have

(32:25):
picked up the fifth year option onto a Tunuel Vloa.
So this means that he is their quarterback for this
year and they're committing to him or they're going to
trade him. Right If this is this is what this
means that we're keeping him or we're trading They don't. Yeah,
this is this is just insane. Miami always seems unsure

(32:48):
of their direction. Do we like to it? Do we not?
Some days it seems like they do. Sometimes you get
curious statements like he got earlier this month from Mike
McDaniel on Toa's future, but today they pick up his option.
We believe in two it being our guy long term,
or maybe he goes in a trade for time. It's
just they just don't there. You can tell there's still

(33:09):
warring sides within the Dolphins about how they feel about
to it. It's like the Eagles and Jalen Hurts pre
twenty twenty two. Now Jalen Hurts is our guy, MVP
is great. Super Bowl Yeah, awesome, awesome, But you can
tell there's still that faction of push pull. Do we
want to it to be our quarterback? Do we not?
And this is this is my wish, just one because

(33:30):
I've said this about to it from the beginning. Let
the guy play. You want to make twenty twenty three
or make or break season for him? Make it a
make or break season. Right, You still have a young
enough core that you go with two of this because
when TWA was healthy last year, he was terrific. Now
staying on the field is a big part of it.
Two it comes this year and he shows that I'm

(33:50):
healthy and I play the whole season. Okay, go forward
with the guy and then now he's your guy. But
if something happens and he's bad or he can't stay
healthy again because look, unfortunately not concussion issues, but just
staying healthy as a quarterback. If he can't be on
the field for more than half a season, then you
have to look somewhere else. But my wish is just
let the guy play because when he played last year,
the first half the year, he was really really good.

(34:13):
So okay, yeah, did it get a little bit worse
the backhead, yeah, sure it did, But then he also
got hurt. He's also coming back from a really bad injury.
There were all those things. Just give him twenty twenty three,
make the make or break year, and go forward that way,
and at least then you have clarity and you're giving
a fair shot to a guy who has a talent
to be a franchise quarterback. Well, you picked up the options,

(34:33):
so now you got two years in this window. It
doesn't mean you still can't make a move, whether it's now,
whether it's next year, and move away. And the argument
in the room has to be there, Like I'd be
shocked if you had that many people at the helm
of a multi billion dollar corporation, and there's not some

(34:53):
vexation about going forward ahead with two of given his
health last year and viability and needing to miss time. Right,
you've got a team that you're ready to win, and
in short order, a number of these guys are gonna
need to get paid, and that's going to change the
calculus on all of this really fast. So in all

(35:14):
of these you know, talking about Rogers coming to your jets,
All right, here's the window. It's gonna shut really fast
and really hard, and someone's gonna flip that lock switch
like you're watching Scream in New York. That's what's gonna
happen really fast. Okay, Then you're looking at the Dolphins
and the roster they've assembled. They moved a lot of

(35:34):
money around, created space, and so there's still some eyebrow
raising of all right, well, what's the next domino to fall?
But certainly today there's a little trumpeting
