(00:23):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Oh it's the dance
version of Narco. Oh, I like it. I'm at a
club now suddenly I'm drinking ziema. Oh I am having fun. Yeah,
I'm celebrating the Mets. Oh. Yeah, Harmon just passed out,
completely passed out. Boom, hit the floor. He's done. No,
there were there were night or seven one liners to
(00:46):
fire off there, and I wanted to be positive because
either you had developed time travel or you had stashed
a bunch of Zemo, which, just like the Chaco Taco
and it's limited departure from our environment, you probably could
have sold at a memium to the degenerates that are
still clamoring for it. Yeah, that's what that That's one
thing I really do miss out on this summer is
(01:06):
like if I have one summer regret. It's not like
going back in time, like setting the the machine to
go back like ten days before they announced there's gonna
be no more Choco Tacos, like I would have gone
to all the seven elevens and grabbed them all up
and gotten a big freezer, put it in my garage
and okay, Choco tacos hundred bucks apiece, and then ray
(01:26):
people will come from all over, not knowing why forking
over a hundred dollars for a Choco taco, not even
understanding it, but just bathing themselves in the Chucko taco
and they would rub it all over and you would
have ice cream dripping down their faces as they look
deep into the past and the valleys of their souls
as Choco tacos got all sticky. Yeah, I gotta imagine
(01:49):
on some level that secondary market is really deflated by
the announcement that the Choco taco will in fact return. Well,
it's kind of like it's kind of like when you
have a a a retirement concert and you jack up
the prices the last time. Motley Cruz never gonna tour again.
I'm never gonna like they got they got me for
several d per tickets and then they go, oh, hey,
(02:11):
you know that was just that was you know, we
feel good about each other. We're gonna go back and
we're gonna play. Yeah, this guy ran out of money
and mc mars doesn't move unless he's on a stage,
so we need to figure this back out. Yeah, I
don't feel had it all. You get what you get,
uh and clearly right now, I mean more important impressing matters.
(02:33):
If you had bet this preseason game between the Patriots
and the Giants, odds are if you bet the totally,
you bet the under, and once again you got got
it looked great, right, it looked great, pretty good. Nobody
was scoring. Oh it's it's the Patriots and the Giants.
How many points can you actually expect to get? But no, no, no,
(02:53):
here they are right now with five minutes ago in
the fourth quarter. That gets tied at twenty apiece. Meanwhile,
Baltimore look gonna keep that preseason unbeaten street going leads
Tennessee twenty to ten with about ten minutes to go
in the fourth quarter. Now, before you get to the
field of dream games, just really quick about uh Malik
Willis because he's getting all the attention right now on
(03:14):
social media. Uh, he's thrown for a hundred yards, he's
run for a touchdown thirty eight yards. He's looked, he's
looked terrific. Right, he's you know the scramble, you know,
cutting back all the way other side of the field.
Malik Willis is someone who was a good prospect, but
how is he going to translate to the NFL? How
much time is he going to need? Now? This is
(03:34):
a great start for him. This doesn't mean he's gonna
be the starting quarterback tomorrow. But here's where the stakes
have not steaks steaks have been raised for this season
because this looks to me much like a Lamar Jackson
Joe Flacco situation where what happened Joe Flacco lost the
gig uh injury and effectiveness. Lamar Jackson comes in and
(03:57):
plays pretty well, and it's boy, can we real not
go back to Joe flaccable? We want a Super Bowl
for us? He was really good. I don't know. And
then they kind of play out the string and Flacco's
entreat He just stays injured for a while and then
it's hey, sorry, Lamar Jackson's our guy, and Joe Flacco
loses his job, this is gonna be it for Ryan
Tannehill anyway in Tennessee. And Leik Willis clearly was drafted
(04:20):
to be the next quarterback and he's showing I'm a
little bit further along. So now the stakes for this
year is, Hey, if Tannehill stinks, uh, that leash is
gonna be really short because there's gonna be a big craw.
You can already tell to get Malik Willis into the
game and to make him a starter. He's got them
because you can see people see him and go, this
is Lamar Jackson. This is the same thing like I
(04:41):
just said, it's it's it's what Lamar Jackson did to
take the job in the Ravens and he want m
VPS here it is you know, it's it's the desire
to see Malik Willis be Lamar Jackson. And he is
a playmaker like that. He can make throws, make plays
with his legs. He's that kind of quarterback. He's quarterback
everybody wants. So that's kind of where things are now.
Is that Okay has has it gone where he's starting
(05:01):
Week one? No, not gonna happen. But if they falter
if things aren't well, he will ascend to that starting
job much quicker than anticipated. This is no longer gonna
be a red shirt year. He's gonna sit, He's gonna
hopefully we don't say no. He's somebody that after this beginning,
it's okay. If things don't go well, we feel a
little bit better about putting them out there, and and
and and getting the future started a little bit earlier. Well,
(05:23):
I mean to be fair in his week one of
the preseasons, so while you get a little excited about it,
and you know, the Ravens come to play when it
comes to preseason games, so maybe you add a little
extra sauce there on that. Okay, you talked about the streaks,
so I guess, uh, there is a potential out after
this year in Tannehill's contracts, so maybe that activates things
(05:46):
a little bit. But there is also a guy, uh
that is fifty one touchdowns against one picks the last
two years and has at times looked fantastic. And in theory,
you've got a squad that is is ready for a run.
Here it's them and the Colts, one would presume. But
the loss of Shaquille Leonard formerly known as Darius uh
(06:06):
and of the offseason surgery. Don't know when he's getting back.
Part of that defense took a big hit for the Colts,
So we'll we'll see how that plays. But certainly it's
not It's not the worst of situations, right A guy
with a different skill set, a guy that comes in
and live arm and act you know, active as we
saw with that scramble that you referenced. So yeah, it
(06:29):
wouldn't be the worst thing. But I don't see Tannehill
finding the bench quite that quickly. Joe Flacco was no
longer elite at that point. Oh it's not gonna be
week two. It's not gonna be boy Tannehill was. But
as the year goes on, you get into weeks six,
weeks seven, if the Titans are sitting around two and four,
two and five, or they're not scoring a lot in
(06:51):
the offense, that the pressure to play him is gonna
be overwhelming, and and that that's what he's done in
this game, and say, Okay, instead of Hey, the end
of this year, Tan Hills gone, you're gonna be no,
this can be Hey, you can come in the middle
of the season and take over the job and play
because it's a long season. The guy's coming from college
where he hasn't played long seasons before, so to come
in and play an eight or nine game regular season
(07:13):
or yeah, okay, so I mean there's I mean, it's
not like Tanne's sitting the bench right away going but
but now it's okay, there's an option if things don't
go well, where they didn't have that option before. So
that that's really what Malik Willis has done in this game.
And he's won all the fans. He's won the fans
over to say, now now now I want to see him,
now play him now now now, now, Now you actually
(07:35):
have a coach that most people would say is good.
But not a lot of NFL teams are able to
say that they got a lot of guys that, you know,
if they traded him after the guy standing next to him,
they wouldn't cry or they don't know what they've got
because a third of the league changed out in the
last fourteen months. So you've got that going for you.
Schedule off the job, not not really uh a little
(07:57):
hit and miss. He got the Giants up the week one,
then you're at Buffalo, then you get the Raiders, then
you're at the Colts and then you get the commanders
and the embattled Carson went uh and all that fun
before you get Indian Houston and start flowing through from there.
So curiosity, But look, it's the best of the all
(08:18):
worlds for us. Potential for controversy a guy that three
and ten is last two years as a starter. Like
I said, fifty one is the split. Sorry misread my
own chicken scratch notes fifty four and twenty one. Uh.
In terms of touchdown to interception ratio, that all that's
pretty good usually keeps you your job for a while.
(08:39):
But if this is gonna get the fans to start
coming at Rayble and I can't wait to hear the
local beat reporters try to do the same. I mean,
it's it's only a win for us. Hey, Mike any
any Edny thought of the quarterback change going into week
two of the preseason. Mike any any Edny thought, Malik
willis uh really have you did you see the run? Mike?
Do you want to The Panthers called about Ryan Tannehill.
(09:02):
They might be interested, you know. The Cleveland Browns might like, Hey,
it's about as much money as Garoppolo does come on,
they want Garoppolo, I might just saying you better get
on the stick because you know, hey, Garoppolo could be
headed to Cleveland if that, if you know, Watson gets suspended,
don't you want to get out there first and make
that deal? Go ahead, explain there's all. That's why I'd
(09:25):
be the worst beat reporter in the world, because I
would ask. I would ask stupid questions. You think you
would until you're in that room and he's staring back
at you, Oh you kid, and they would say, well,
we can't have that guy. Go. He asked the best questions.
We can't. We can't what it really is in here?
And go Can you talk about your defensive line tonight
and how they're able to control the line of scrimmage? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
here's forty five seconds for things that people aren't even
(09:47):
paying attention to. Then you get my stupid ask questions
the back. Hey, you know you want to rush and
trade Ryan? Do uh the Browns before the forty niners?
Do mike your comments? You know? I mean, you know,
you know, can I can I fight act a little
now now that I look at the contract in detail,
because I knew what he was making this year approximately
having we spent way too much time looking at contracts
(10:08):
because of Watson, and that's what I do for fun. Yeah, exactly.
So twenty nine is his bass salary, but when you
add signing and restructure his cap hit his thirty eight six,
it's a lot. It's this year. It means it probably
doesn't find his ass on the bench any unless it
really this could be it though, this could be dead
(10:30):
dead cap. But this year is fine. It's it's fine
this year. If he wins the job, you're not paying thel.
We wins a job this year, it's fine. You'll figure
stuff out the rest of the way. There you go,
dollar cost averaging. I like that. This year is fun. Uh.
Now tonight is all and we have more NFL coming
up in a few minutes. Tonight is also the Field
of Dreams game in Major League Baseball, gaining a lot
(10:51):
of attention. Kind of fun getting to see some of
the UH players come out of the cornfield. The Griffis
came out and run the dad you want to have
a catch line, and then their legends come out and
and he's throwing about Johnny Bench was there. My dad
is in heaven because Johnny bench's favorite player, and I said, boy,
they swept your grass in seventies six. Shut up beat it.
Look he's got five baseballs in his hand and he's scary. Hey,
(11:14):
you can sit down. You're not You're not gonna worry
about having to get that paint on your jacket. Cubs
lead the Reds for to it. It's been a lot
of fun. Look the Field of Dreams game that this
is what it is. You can't ask it to be
something it's not. It's something that is fun. It's fun
to look back and to think about the movie and
talk about the movie and moments, and to see them
(11:35):
playing a game in the corn field. It's fun. There's
a lot of baseball games every year. You can have
one like this and it's great. Now we're not going
to have the one next year because of maintenance. I
told you that that the guy who owns the field
just needs to make money with crops. You're just gonna
have to. Sorry, I gotta get that government subsidy on corn.
By the way, the thing that I remember and all this,
the corn really isn't in season. And I in front
(11:56):
of the month, right, But you know, Dad, so I
don't know how much they trucked in to make it
look pretty. But you have to get the field ready,
so you gotta cut the crops down this. You gotta
let them go all the way through. But here's where
the opportunity exists for Major League Baseball to continue on
with this, because all right, we've had the Field of
Dreams game a couple of times. Why can't you go
(12:16):
every year with an m MLB in Hollywood type situation
where what you do is say, hey, you know what
we can do. We can have a natural game, and
we can have it. It can be the Mets and
the Pirates, and the Mets will wear uh natural uniforms.
That where the New York Nights uniforms. You know, Robert
(12:37):
Redford will come, will will do whatever kind of of
of of fun we have. Yes, you can do. You
could do that. You could do a league of their
own contact Wilford Brimley look alike contest, and it's a must,
it's gotta gotta have that. But you could do anything.
You could do a league of their own and have
female players there and have them play an inning of
(12:57):
a game, and how fun that would be. There's so
many things you could do Baseball in Hollywood, because yes,
Field of Dreams is one of those movies was nominated
for Best Picture. It's got a great place in our hearts.
But for sports fans, other big baseball movies have it too.
You could do that. You could have a Major League
Night and one of the players can get one of
those crazy Rick Vaughan haircuts, and you can do fun stuff,
(13:20):
and you could announce the game. And you know, if
if Major League Baseball could do a Hollywood Night every year,
you can keep this going for a while. Right, you
can get two or three major league games, two or
three natural games all the way through. Baseball can do this,
And now now I've just solved an issue for them
for the next five or six years. No, it's pretty good.
Do you do you let Randy Quaid come if you
do a Major League one? Oh no, he was major
(13:42):
League two. We are major League one only. I don't
know if Randy could Frandy Quaid, could he actually come
back into the United States. I don't know about that.
I don't know. I don't know. I also don't know
where you can't trust him to show up. So there there,
there's both of those things too. I don't I don't
know what you can do that. That's a tough one.
That might be tougher than getting the field ready for
the corn for the Field of dreams game. Oh no,
I'd rather get the field ready. All you do is
(14:03):
get Randy Quaid. No, no, no, no, you sucker, you
go do that. I'm gonna get that. I'll do the
corn all my myself. I'll do the field myself for months.
I'll get that. Going uh Twitter and out about a fresca.
Mike gets swollen, done the Jason Smith Show with my
best friend in my car. But now I want to
look and see where Randy Quaid is. Auto Zone's got

Getting the job done just got easier. Restrictions apply, So
getting his zone auto Zone, Well, we got more NFL
(14:46):
on the way coming up next. Hey Tom, Brady is
now gonna be away from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for
personal reasons. Are we gonna see him week one? Is
Deshaun Watson really okay with an eight game suspension? Yeah?
Big news coming up next right here, Jason and Mike Fox.
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
(15:09):
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart
Radio app Fox Sports Radio. The Jason Smith Show with
My best friend Mike Harmony. Where it looks like the
Ravens are gonna continue their undefeated preseason streak. Now at
games and counting, They're up twenty three ten over the
(15:31):
Titans with about three minutes ago in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile,
the Giants they win on the last play of the
game twenty three twenty one over the Patriots to Rod
Taylor throws a touchdown. We did not see Mac Jones,
We did not see a lot of offense first stringers
from the Patriots. A lot of stuff to break down.
(15:51):
Joining us now on the hotline a man who was
ready to raise that banner for another preseason win by
the Baltimore Raven Odyssey NFL Inside a longtime friend of
the show, Jason Locke and for it, JL. What's happening, man,
what's going on? Gentlemen? Dude, August is your months? Man,
it's the Ravens month. I mean really that it has
(16:12):
to rename that on the calendar now you well, you know, look,
there's I think there should be a banner going up.
I'm thinking a statue, you know, you think of you know,
all the guys who have contributed along the way. Uh,
most of them never played an NFL down in their life,
or not a meaningful one. But um, there's just there.
(16:37):
I'm sure there's dudes. Um, at least. John Harball said
last year after they won their twentieth in a row
that for the last five years there's guys who have contributed,
and he bet that they all gathered around whenever the
Ravens play a preseason game and sit down what they
said that, I swear to God, sit there with their
families and watch it and say, hey, I was a
part of that too. We play the audio about fifty
(17:01):
times in my radio shather that once we cracked it
back down after their win last year to make it
twenty in a row. So yeah, they are. They are
the August Darling. But here's the thing, no one will
ever catch them because it's four years. We're gonna play
eighteen regular season games and two preseason so it would
(17:22):
take ten years for somebody to get to it. Pretty
the most unbreakable there with Domaggio streak. I mean it's
it's it's incredible. Yes, now, I mean and and this
and this preseason streak. It's going to be unbreakable Orioles. Right,
we had to sit around here and watch them lose
one straight games to open a season, and now the
(17:45):
Ravens are strung together one straight preseason victories. I mean,
what that's what could be better than that? Life is
a circle? A circle circle or something like that. From
this game now, to tell we just talked about this
off the top, Tell me agree or disagree. Malik Willis
showed that the NFL is not going to be too
much for him. He's not gonna like him. He was
(18:06):
pretty good. Do you see do you see a Lamar
Jackson Joe Flacco type situation where if the Titans struggle,
if Ryan Tannhill is not moving the offense mid season,
the future could be then from Elik Willison not this
red shirt year, and then you will see what happens
next year. I do. I don't want to go crazy
(18:26):
off for one game, although again it was against the
Lombardi Packers of the preseason, so um, I guess we
should factor that in. No, that look the skill set plays.
Um did he hold the ball too long? Is you
have to get this clock sped up? Um? You know?
Is it? Is it super clean? No? Not all the time,
(18:48):
but but he does enough things that will work and
work well in this league. That Yeah, if this team
is kicking around, I mean, I think that Ravens team
your reference was four and five going into a bye week,
playing sluggish football and facing a must win game against
the Bengals when they made that change. Um, do I see?
(19:11):
You know? Could I could? Could there be a sort
of a dovetail? Could Could there be overtones of that
in the middle of this season for that team? I
think there could be. And if the run game isn't
super special, and if King Henry is starting to slow
even a smidge, and then that means that all of
a sudden, the play action isn't a robust and they
(19:32):
don't have a j and they need to do something
that's going to help unlock the run game more to
create more play action, and they feel like option football
is going to give a joke to that offense. Um,
then yeah, I mean just look at the contract structure,
look at where they just drafted this young man. Um.
(19:53):
I'm probably wrong. I gotta ask because every year I
kind of feel like the Titans are worse than they
turn out to be. But I could see it happen. Well,
it's certain to the other game Giants with the two
point win over the Patriots, Patris didn't really play any
of the principles that you would expect. But all the
hyperbole coming out of camp that this might be the
worst football team ever assembled. On the offensive side, who
(20:16):
gets blamed when it's all said because they've set it
up with no coordinators? Yeah? Something else? Han, Yeah, I
don't know if one guy was one of them was
calling plays for Zappy and I don't know what's going
on there. It's it's definitely trying too hard and too
cute by half. I don't buy their personnel on offense. Um.
(20:38):
I don't think they have blue chip players really to
speak of, not enough of them on either side of
the ball. And I think they lost a lot of
institutional memory and a lot of um, I mean, just
the callous is that Josh McDaniels built up over the
years calling plays under you know, Bill Belichick, with Belichick
hearing every single call on the headset, and what that's
(21:01):
like when the bullets are really flying and and everything's
on the line. And now you've got these two guys
doing it. I don't think it's going to go well. Um.
I don't think that's a very good football team. And
I don't think, you know, even the great Bill Belichick
is going to be able to coach them, you know,
(21:21):
to nine or ten wins, even Jason locking for with
us the Jason Smith's with Mike Harmen live from the
Fox Sports Radio studios. All right to get off the
field tonight. A couple of huge stories that we're all
waiting to see. And the first one is Tom Brady,
who was going to be away from the Bucks for
a little while for a couple of weeks for personal reasons.
I wasn't really concerned about it until Todd Bull said, yeah,
(21:44):
there there's We highly expect him to be our quarterback
week one. Wait, what's what? What's uh? What's going on now.
I don't wish the people's happen here. Yeah, I'm not.
It hasn't raised my ire. I think it's mostly back
to school shop guys. You know, he's got kids and
he wants to take part. What a ritual that is.
(22:06):
But I do think that he look obviously this was
on unusual offseason. He retired for three weeks. Whatever it
was that the poll of his family and not wanting
to miss out on certain things certain times of the year.
And my suspicion is this is him doing something with
the family to get sort of one last real dose
(22:27):
of family time and a vacation and before he turns himself, mind,
body and soul over to football in his mind through
you know, the middle of February. Because it's super bullet boss.
I don't think it's anything more than that. I don't
think it's him having second thoughts. It's not anything health related.
He's not gonna show up on the injury report, so
I don't believe it's a big deal. All right, So
(22:50):
let's go to one that certainly is Deshaun Watson. Will
we get the eleventh hour decision from the NFL, and
what do you make of the latest to tab to
the reported, Hey, I'll take eight games and five million.
It's pretty pathetic. Um. He they had time to work
(23:11):
this out and figure out a settlement or you know,
come to terms as a union and as a league.
They obviously that didn't happen. He didn't settle these civil
cases in um an expeditious manner. Not that that would
have necessarily got him off the hook in the in
the court of the NFL and the and the personal
(23:33):
conduct policy. It wouldn't have, but but it might have
made things a little tidier or might have worked in
his favor a little bit. But that didn't happen. And
it's clear from Giddell's remarks at the owners meetings that
the league stances fairly on the cuivocal league. They don't
(23:54):
want him on the field this year. Uh, And I
don't think he's going to be on the field this year.
Maybe he is on the field Friday night. I don't
know how the timing of that would play out, and
if this ruling would come out in sufficient time to uh,
you know, keep the Shaun Watson from getting to a stadium.
But I would just say, given the vigor with which
(24:15):
the league um feels about this, and given that this
is a matter of sort of optics and they don't
want him representing the Shield right now, that would be
a huge story tomorrow night if he's in that UM
stadium and if people you know, are deciding whether to
cheer him or boo him and preseason or not. I
(24:37):
don't think the league like that spectacle. Now, does that
get to you know, the the this appeals officer in
time for him to rule, Maybe maybe not. But this
isn't independent. He knows which way the winds blowing. It's
impossible not to get They'll just spelled it out for you.
So I personally wouldn't be shocked if at some point
(24:59):
tomorrow afternoon it's clear that he's not welcoming an NFL
stadium or an NFL practice facility or anything for a
long long time. You know, here's what I don't get
about this ja and this gets away from everything on
the field and what they're talking about Watson. At Watson's camp,
the Browns, they knew what the NFL wanted right going
into this first hearing with Sue Robinson. The NFL says,
(25:22):
we want twelve games and a ten million dollar fine.
How do the Browns not say yes? How do really
we want to fight over a twelve or six games
suspension and ten million dollars? How do they how do
they not read the room and know that, okay, if
this doesn't go this way, we know the NFL and
they get what they want. How do they do this?
They could have had this for twelve games and ten
(25:43):
million dollars and okay, this year they're gonna have to
get by and then it's done. But no, no, no,
they decided they want to fight this, and now they
could wind up losing them for the season plus a
bigger fine. I don't get why they couldn't just say yes,
we'll take twelve games and ten million. Yeah. I don't know,
you know, I don't, I don't. I personally don't think
the league wanted him to play football this year? Um,
(26:06):
what would they have settled for twelve games? I mean,
we'll we'll never We'll never know. Now I don't know
with certainty that the league would have accepted something like that. Um.
I haven't heard it with my own ears from someone
who I know would know. But just look at just
we can just go back and replay everything. I mean,
(26:28):
you go back to a point in time where it's
clear he wanted nothing to do with the Cleveland Browns, right,
and and that was what was in his I guess heart,
and that's what was in his wallet at that point
in time, and that's where his mind was. Everything they've
done since then to sort of get into his good
graces will turn out to be unequivocally, um biting off
their nose despite their faces. None of that is going
(26:50):
to actually all it took to get him to sign,
which in real time we're like, this is crazy. None
of it's gonna bear fruit for them. It's it's all
just gonna exact a serbat their problems, because it played
a big role in us getting to this point, a
point at which anyone who's been paying attention, thanks for
all on the precipice, on the cusp of him being
(27:10):
handed um one of the more significant penalties in league
history for violations of the Personal Conduct Policy. Alright, Jason,
last one, going back to the wonderful world of the
Baltimore Ravens, the preseason Darling's each ever year, I have
to ask for all the fantasy owners out there, j K.
Dobbins uh is he gonna be ready for a week one.
(27:32):
How soon will Gus Edwards be back? And Lamar Jackson,
how I would you rank him? Yeah, I'm not personally
convinced that Gus Edwards is going to be a factor
for this team at all this year. Um, he's facing
some steep odds. J K. Dobbins is someone who if
everything goes great, he's he starts to look like himself
(27:56):
at some point in the second half of the season.
But there's going to be a process with him. UM.
And yeah, Lamar Jackson that he this is this is
his contract here again, this is his franchise. Um, he's
going to be utilized with um great intensity, running the ball,
(28:16):
throwing the ball. Um, he's gonna have a chance to
impact this game from a fantasy standpoint in a way
that few individuals can. And uh, I think he will
be prolific. You can fall on Twitter at Jason lock
and forward that is at Jason Locke and for Odyssey
NFL Insider. J is always buddy, Appreciate your time, my friend,
(28:39):
enjoy the games. I'll talk to you next week. Always
my pleasure, gentleman. Get ready to that banner. I can't wait.
That's it. You can unfurl it. See, I'm gonna raise
that banner. Orioles are over. Wait as soon as the
Orioles clinching on losing season, that's and they're going to
raise the banner. They'll raise that banner the same day
they raised undefeated preseason for the record for for the
(29:01):
Baltimore Ravens. It's unbreakable. It's it's DiMaggio, Cy Young and
the Ravens. That's it. It's never gonna be broken, never
gonna Holy Trinity. Be sure to catch live editions of

talked to players, We tell you stories. You download it,
you listen to it. I think you like it. Listen
to All Ball with Doug Gottlieb on the I Heart
Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or ever you get your podcast
(29:49):
Fox Sports Radio. The Jason Smith Show with My best
Friend Mike harmon Field of Dreams. Game is over the Cubs.
Ray the Cubs beat the Reds by the five. Look
forward to two. I got hot takes on this coming
up next to Oh, I got a hot on this game.
How about the fact that bolt to the preseason games
hit the over. Yeah, if you bet the Giants, they
(30:11):
covered the one and a half ton TWNNY one and
an exciting finish. You could have been a big winner
tonight if you bet all those things. Yeah, I wasn't.
You always say, oh, nothing was stopping if you're going
to Vegas? No, no, no, no, you could have drove
to Vegas. But I am just giving information. I'm giving information.
You normally put it in the vein of I should
(30:33):
have or I could have, and you didn't. In this case,
I was just giving information. It's information is free, dude.
The Ravens were a lock tonight. Why didn't you go?
You could have gone minus three and a half total
was just thirty one. Oh I love football even if
it's bad football. It's football. Yeah, that's true. It doesn't matter.
(30:55):
It's like pizza, pizza, and uh nocturnal activities. Uh, well,
there's some nocturnal activities. I'm not like, if I got arrested,
I wouldn't want that. No no, no, no, no no no.
Kind of invoked quagmire to a degree. Uh So, Antonio
Brown puts this out on Twitter earlier today, and already
(31:17):
T shirts are being made of this. He puts this
statement out former Bucks receiver that says, quote, my biggest
regret in my career doesn't involve calling my GM a name,
or showing up to Raiders camp late in a hot
air balloon with frozen feet, or throwing rocks at that
ups driver. And it definitely doesn't involve taking my shirt
(31:39):
off and doing a victory lap around the Jet stadium
mid game while throwing up deuces. And I still can't
believe the Jets lost that game. He quit in the
middle of it. Anyway, my biggest regret is that I'll
never get to see me Antonio Brown play a game live. Sure,
I can watch the game afterwards, but I can't imagine
what that was like for you all to see something
like that, like watching the Beatles or Jesus perform at
(32:02):
Red Rocks. This was Antonio Brown statement. And you know,
within five minutes of this coming out, all the great
Red Rocks, Jesus performing the jokes were all gone, and
all the parody parodies of that note and everything else,
it's all gone. Now people are making t shirts Jesus
one night only at Red Rocks. And now I wonder
(32:26):
what song do you think was most downloaded today that
would be attributed to Jesus set Red Rocks Personal Jesus.
Jesus is just all right with me. That's pretty good
one too, uh, drop kick me Jesus through the goal
posts of life. Drugs are Jesus by Tim McGraw. Jesus
(32:46):
Jones right here, right now, I'm only Jesus by Tim McGraw. Oh,
there's your song list. There's your song list right there.
That's your Jesus in these situations. Then he says, hey,
don't blame me, I'm only Jesus. It's the next level stuff.
But yes, Jesus with the guitar is the image that
will be indelibly etched into my mind for this date,
(33:08):
a lot of anniversaries. But he's just shredding like Eddie
Munson the Batter of Puppets. Jesus is just doing the
Eddie van Halen with the fingers on the neck of
the guitar, but starts with a five minute monologue about
the acoustics and the background and these and just the
calm and peace that he gets standing on that stage
(33:32):
looking out at the crowd and now starts playing Master
of Pups. And he would float down to the stage.
You'll be looking for the wires and the rigging. Hey,
oh no, no, he's just floating. Oh no, no, there's
no okay, Wow, he's just floating down to the crowd
surfing but they're not touching it. It's what's happening right now.
Just all right, we're gonna get a song. That's the
(33:55):
next level stuff right there. But yeah, Antonio Brown, I mean,
it's the gift that given. Now, obviously there have been
moments where you're afraid for him, afraid for people around him.
Uh that you certainly had plenty of instances to say
while we talked about it in informed of all legal
aspects and and things of that nature as well, because
(34:16):
even in that little post, there's a couple of incidents
that legally will open the door to some really bad things.
But you've got a guy that's now in his post career,
is he gonna go fight like leve Bell? And these guys,
I mean, what, what's what's next? More more albums? Ah?
You know this is this is what it is for
(34:37):
Antonio Brown. Right, I'll tell you exactly what it is.
And I'm just picturing Jesus suredding now that's so awesome. Um,
this is what Antonio Brown has left. He is now
down to can I make headlines on social media? Right?
Many stars find this point in their life where I
can't really gain attention anymore unless I just say or
(34:59):
do something shocking because people are done with my act
for whatever reason. You see it with actors and comedians
all the time. Here's a shock value thing. That's what
Antonio Brown is, right, He's Dennis Robin after his playing
days or over right, I can't do it anymore. So
let me see if I could just do something that
causes a stir on social media. And that's kind of
what he has. And you see it with a lot
of other people. I see it with with with with
(35:21):
plenty of comedians and act like, Okay, they're not really
don't I really have anything to say anymore than not
doing any movies. They're not doing any more albums, they're
not they're not selling out when they do stand up.
So here's just something shocking to pay attention to me.
I'm like, okay, it's what you have left. It's what
he's got left. That's what he's got Antonio Brown. All
he's got left is shock value of something that Wow,
did you see what Antonio Brown did? And it becomes
(35:42):
a story. It's the news cycle for a little while
and then we move on from it. That's what he's
got left. Yeah. The other part that was lost in
all of this was the ability to um watch himself
perform great things. Yeah, right, because it immediately goes to
Jesus at Red Rocks or or the Beatles at Red Rocks.
I don't think the Beatles ever performed at and if
(36:03):
they did, well, I tell you, and they did. There
you go August Twitter at How about a fresco Mike
at Swollen Down the Jason Smith Show with my best
friend Mike Harmon now and if you have any question
now at Red Rock in Las Vegas. Darius Rutger is
there in October. That's Red Rock, not Red Rocks. It's
two different places, just so you know. Coming up next,
(36:25):
how about a piping hot take on a big NFL game,
from Tonight Fox Red rub
