(00:23):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Mike White, if I
could be Mike White, wanna be wanna be Mike White,
Mike White, Mike White, if I could be Mike White. Oh,
Mike Harmon. I was gonna stay in Hawaii forever, but
when Mike White came in and saved the day, I
had to come back and work with you for at
least another few more years. Okay, just so we got

(00:46):
that right. Um, Look, I think you me frostburg Iya
was Sambo and all the other guys, burst shot, you
name it. We we get everybody together. Disager can be
our special teams coordinator. We could score a bunch of
points on the Bears right now. Doesn't matter. Mike White,
if I could be Mike White, doesn't you go, doesn't process?

(01:08):
And yeah, here we are doesn't matter. Mike White. Uh,
my living nightmare. And look I knew it was coming,
and did the show yesterday, you know, with Arnie Spanier
and Andy Furman, and and we're finishing, and I go, well,
that's it. There's the high point of my day that
he came all about. Mike White. Comes Mike White in

(01:30):
a driving rain storm, super Bowl champion, Mike White. What
a story this year? And after thought on the Jets
roster leads them to the playoffs and a miracle run
and a victory over the Philadelphia Eagles and Jalen Hurts
in the super Bowl, and all green super Bowl turns
into an all white Mike White super Bowl. I could

(01:51):
already see the lightings written right there. Oh, green and White.
There's there's your headline, green and white, Green for the Jets,
White from Mike White, Green and white. It writes its
here you play Denver, New England buffalow, and then New
England again. And then because you answer a question in
the press conference badly, we give Mike White a gift?

(02:13):
Was Santa Claus for crying out loud? I think I
think it was more, Hey, we watched how you played
in those games and realize that we can't win when
you stink. So we're going to a guy who already
is better than Zach. He was better than Zach Wilson
last year, and now he's better than Zach Wilson. Now,
look how easy it was, right? Did the Jets dial
back the game plan? Did they say, listen, we're gonna

(02:35):
run the football, We're gonna we're gonna Yeah, we fell
off and sudden as I want to, I don't want
to get traded anymore. This guy throws the football to me.
Not only did they not pair down the offense, they
threw the ball more. They gave Mike White more responsibility,
which tells you what were the Jets doing? What were
they doing with with Zack Wilson. And they made the

(02:56):
perfect time to make the switch. Right. I know you
and I talked this, so you mention this on Twitter
a couple of times last week that boy, maybe this
would have been a get right game for Zach Wilson
with the Bears, right because the Bears they only played
seven on defense yesterday was very difficult. It really, it
really was a difficult proposition to guard, you know, eleven,
but you know, it's it's all in the it's in

(03:18):
the ether, right, it's all theoretical, it's all wishing, wanting, hoping,
and Mike White. I mean you saw the back pages
right the yesterday before the game, the New York Post
had the White Night and had him with his armor
and sword shield and everything else. Uh, and then obviously
just filled with praise and every stat grab that you

(03:42):
could possibly do to put him in the pantheon of
NFL legend, just like the open there talking about and
Joey will joe Willie Namath uh and getting him in frequently.
That's where we're at with with Mike White. And I
knew it coming in. There's a nice long drive. I
I sang along to Goodbye Yellow Brick Road again, and

(04:04):
then I listened to uh some of the game, and
then I paused and said, all right, I got four
hours of this, dude. I was on a beach in
Hawaii yesterday watching the game and watching the sunset. It
was a perfect day. It's uh, it's a perfect that's
that's that's not a happy song, though, sure it is.
It's well, it's a perfect day when you sing it
in a happy way. Any song can be a happy

(04:25):
song if you sing it happily. Well, most songs, not
every song, but most songs can be happy for singing. Yeah,
I mean it's good that they spent the time together
and all, but it's because there's you know, commemorating the
passage of time in a whole other way. But yeah,
I like the little ukulele. Dude, how much point did
you watching it? All? Zero point? Because you know what

(04:45):
I've had point before. It tastes like nothing. I said,
this is a no point trip. Then how many you
have point? How many McDonald's meals did you have on
the I'll be honest, honestly, I will be honest with you.
Take the over. How many times do you say this
doesn't taste quite to buy a like? McDonald's did not

(05:07):
have McDonald's in Hawaii. However, when we landed last night,
nine thirty took us a while to get home from
the airport because l a X decided We're going to
make the best airport in the world awful and make
it impossible to get out of the first meal after
Hawaii was McDonald's, So I was I was a big
Mac attack last night at about eleven o'clock at night.

(05:29):
So they last night first post meal was McDonald's. No
McDonald's in Hawaii. No McDonald's. Most people go to in
and out, Jason. When they get land at L A X,
you go to McDonald's. So well this we we went
home and McDonald McDonald's near my house. That's it's really close.
Had to go do that. We don't want to stay
in line anymore. I had to go to McDonald's so
I can get home and just you know, start eating it.

(05:50):
Because you don't go to Hawaii to eat. That's a
that's people forget. You don't go to Hawaii for the food,
right you go. You go to Hawaii and you eat
food hoping that well maybe this meal will be You
go to Hawaii for a very different reason. What did you?
What did you? Oh? I seek to find I. I
seeked out a quarterback and I found one in Mike White.

(06:10):
I went, I went into the deep of the Cave
of Wonders in Hawaii and I said, you know what
I need Mike White, And you know what, the gods answered,
and they gave me Mike White. And it was awesome.
And I left you and I can't believe I left
yesterday and the and the volcano erupted on on the
Big Island today. I couldn't believe it. I was like,
oh my god, we're there yesterday and the volcano erupted
earlier today. Mike, this guy out of here, Mike, who

(06:35):
are you kidding? Man? Get the jets in Hawaii and
you kidding that everybody's wearing jet skire in Hawaii? Are
you nuts? No? You know you know what everybody was wearing.
They were because it was the Maui Invitational was going on,
so there there were so many people wearing all kinds
of gear from different teams. And Ohio State was there.
So you know, me Michigan family, Saturday morning around ten o'clock,

(06:56):
uh in the morning, with that game ended, all those
people in Ohio State eight here, my wife and our friends.
They were finding them going bomp bump bump, bump, bump, bump,
bump bop. They were like seeking about, going, Hey, that's
persons in a red T shirt. Let's go sing the
fight song. Ba bamp bah. It was. It was insane.
It wasn't. So what you're saying is the people that
once you're in Hawaii, you're so peaceful that you don't

(07:19):
have a bunch of fights for people being jackasses like that. No,
there weren't any fight. I didn't see any fights. No, no no,
But what's the point of going and doing that. Well,
that's being a five year old. Well that's that's that's Michigan,
Ohio state. Why why you think their rivalry is they
just share cookies with each other. That's Michigan. Hi, you're
in Hawaii. You didn't care enough to even stay state
designed to watch it. We were in the States and
the cotton now the United States, and we were in

(07:40):
the States. You know what I mean, You know exactly
what I meant. That's my favorite. I gotta get back
to the States. You're in the States, so I mean
the cont now United States exactly. No, but seriously, but
this is the thing about to go back to your bears.
Point about Mike White stink. You don't date score nine
a game and lost for straight It doesn't matter. This

(08:03):
is how you know, this is for This is for
good and and Zach Wilson's career as a jet is over.
How many times Robert Sala says it was three weeks ago,
Zack's our guy the rest of the year, bargain injury.
What happened Oh guess what, Zack's not our guy anymore.
They will go from Mike White to Joe Flacco before
they go to Zack Wilson again. The team transformed yesterday,

(08:24):
the entire team. They were happy. They were playing free.
You could see it. I could see because they knew
they were gonna feast against it, because that's down several
because they knew they had a quarterback who could throw
the football. They didn't die like I said. They didn't
dial back the game plan. They didn't change anything. You
saw how limited they were because they couldn't trust Zack Wilson.
And you don't make a change at quarterback like they

(08:46):
You don't fire a manager in baseball when the Yankees
are coming to town, right, that's a you don't fire manager. Hey,
when somebody or the Dodgers are coming to town, you
don't fire your manager. Then you fire your manager when
one of the bottom feeders is coming down. When you're
gonna play the Pirates, sorry pirates, when you're gonna play
a team that's gonna win forty five games here, when
the Marlins are coming to town, Sorry, Marlin's sorry, Donnie. Baseball,

(09:06):
that's when you fire a manager. You bring into manage, Hey,
when we have something coming in where we're gonna see
the results right away. They were going to this because
they want Mike White to be the guy for the
rest of the year. So we do you start off
Mike White? You start him off against the bear a
team that has no defense and is not gonna be
able to stop him. That's when you do it, and
that's why they picked, Hey, we're doing it here from

(09:26):
Mike White. They should have gone to Mike White in the
the middle of that game against the Pageants. That's the
big thing, Like, how do you not go to him?
Then when you know Zach Wilson can't even throw the
football and can't even see the field. He didn't even
see ten feet in front of him, that's when you
should have made that move and maybe you have one
more win, but this was this is for the rest
of the year. Zach Wilson will not play again and
the Jets will go quarterback hunting in the off season.

(09:47):
Maybe Mike White gets a big contract extension, he gets
a hundred and fifty million dollars a year because he
leads to Jets to the Super Bowl, or they go
get somebody else for their system. But Zack Wilson is
completely and totally done. He just isn't good. And watching
all the film coming off the Patriots game, you knew
they had to make the change. Um you know, I'm
on vacation and they're making the move and it's Mike White.
I'm going, oh my god, I'm sitting at the beach

(10:09):
going it's Mike White. Time. Should I fly back and
do the show? Because Mike White is coming? All of
me stay here and know why. But now after the win,
I get to talk about Mike White with you all night.
Should have brought your comrads with just in case. Should
have done that. He was ready. I took a couple
of days off and didn't talk to you or see
a soul. It was beautiful, but but I was ready.

(10:32):
As the week wore on and the news that seemed
imminent became factual, along with all the other quarterback changes,
that really made for an interesting week. But when when
he came down to it, you you were on a beach,
and I don't buy for a second that you didn't
need any McDonald's. Don't you want to go snorkeling? Nope,
don't you want to see that Nope. I want to

(10:54):
do a show and talk about Mike White. I want
to be like that commercial where the doctor is like
pretending to do the surgery on the each and the
robot hands is actually doing it. Like I wanted to
be that guy. Like sitting on the beach and talking
about Mike White with you was like watch the Ocean.
That's what I wanted to do. You don't think that's
been done. I mean there's an app for that now
Twitter and the Well. I meant that you can dial

(11:19):
in from the beach, random fields in the middle of nowhere.
As long as you gotta Wi Fi signal, Baby, you
can get on. Hey. Speaking of football, it is the

And I'm lying if I didn't think about we're gonna
get to play that Mike White open again and we're
gonna get to play that Mike White open. All the
week long we've had, it's like it's been sitting with
cobwebs on it. Now we got all the different Mike
White opens and the songs and everything else, and ah,
I'm ready for I'm here for it, man, I am
locked in. I got my popcorn. Yeah, I'm gonna rewatch

(12:07):
the World Cup games from earlier. The rest of this
scintillating Monday night and football affair. Mike White, if I
could be Mike what as speaking of that scintillating Monday
night affair? Uh yes, Mike. Look clearly, Mike White is
the story of of the year in the NFL. But
tonight there is a football game. The Steelers lead the

(12:28):
Colts sixteen to ten. Despite the fact I think the
Colts have about four yards of total offense tonight, uh
it is still a one score game. Felt like the
Steelers kicked eleven field goals in the first half, but
they're up sixteen ten. Nazi Harris has a touchdown run.
Jonathan Taylor Thomas has all the offense for Indianapolis. He's
got seventy yards on the ground and a touchdown running.
Uh So the Colts and Steelers keeping this a game,

(12:50):
a Monday night game here at the end of November
between teams that are three and seven and four, six
and one. Eventually we're gonna get to that flexible Monday
night scheduling, so I can be next year like the
year about. But eventually we're gonna get to that flexible
Monday night football schedule. But soon and for the rest
of your life. Yeah, the first half was absolute misery
as we went through Taylor seventy and a Scar coming

(13:12):
off of a huge return that set them up nicely.
Uh and Nase Harris left the game, So anybody looking
for fantasy love in the second half, it ain't happen
in folks, he's out for the game. We're live from

We have more on a big Week twelve recap look
ahead coming up next. Jason Locke and Forest stops By.
Is Mike White really the real thing? Yes? What's a
huge controversy involving Lamar Jackson did it get solved today?
Keep it right here? That's coming up next. Jason Smith,

(13:55):
Mike Harmon, Happy Mike White Day. This is Fox Sports Radio.
Be sure to catch five editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart
Radio App. I think Mike White's gonna have his own
credit cards soon too, just like discover the Mike White Card.
If you could buy all kinds of touchdowns and you

(14:16):
never have to pay for him, just keep buying touchdowns,
you buy touchdowns all the time. Well, I mean, you
can make him the official spokesman for the holiday season, right.
It's always about being singing about white Christmas Is or whatever. No, no, no,
and he pushes them out of the way. There's a
throwback for folks that really need to know the history
of Bing Crosby, but Mike White takes over. We gotta

(14:37):
bring back our Mike White, the Mike White Christmas album.
Oh yeah, no, we have to. We have that so, oh,
we definitely have to bring that back to We gotta
hear the Mike White Christmas We got a couple of weeks. Actually,
is it time for the holiday music Wednesday. Let's go. Yeah,
we need most one here we need I'm dreaming of
a Mike White Christmas. We need lots of those things.

(15:00):
But joining us now on the hotline Washington Post Insider Odyssey,
long time in the National Football League, friend of the show,
working on a twenty thousand word column for the Washington
Post right now on the Jets Super Bowl chances with
Mike White a quarterback. It is Jason Locking for what's happening? Jay?

(15:22):
What's going on? Gentlemen? Here's what I think should happen. Okay,
Aaron Rodgers is washed, Russ is washed, can't cook, and
Baker Mayfield been washed. All of their endorsements and commercials
should go straight to Mike EF and White. Like that
should be mandated. The season ends, and like progressive Subway

(15:45):
State Farm, all that becomes the domain of one Mike F. White.
I like it. I like I get him in the
subway right he you know, he replaces him on the
Pat McAfee show. We got Mike White. Sorry, Aaron, we
got Mike White coming up for you now. Yep. Yeah,
they lose all their gigs and everything goes to Mike White.
I think it's only fair. I think you're right. You
look like that guy's gonna win the super Bowl this year.

(16:07):
It has to get down the ground floor the exactly
he should just pull a Nameth and call his shot
right now, Like, don't even wait until the super Bowl.
Just just like have your name of moment, have your
messy a moment. Just just claim it, own it. Say
we're gonna win the f and Super Bowl and nobody
can stop us. You know. The thing that I that
I get to j is mismove. Obviously, you saw how

(16:29):
it had to happen. They didn't dial anything back in
the offense yesterday. You saw that it was just a
different team. I don't think Zach Wilson ever plays for
the Jets again. If something happens with Mike White, they'll
go to Joe Flacco before they go back to Zach Wilson.
Well they should, I mean, yeah, And look, I don't
know what you get for the kid in the offseason.
I don't you know. This is not the free agent

(16:52):
and trade class of quarterbacks that we've seen in recent years.
I'm actually working on the piece for the Washington Post
about that right now. I mean, Jimmy Garoppolo and Gino Smith,
especially like if Tom Brady retires, Garoppolo and Smith are
at the head of the class in terms of free agents,
and I don't think either one's leaving where they are
right now, so the options there are limited. So maybe

(17:18):
maybe that helps the Jets in terms of recouping something
in trade, but um, yeah, I just don't think there's
a whole lot of there there with that kid. And
We've been talking about him for obviously a while now
and I've never seen it, and the people I really
know and trust to our evaluators in this league haven't
seen it. And if it happens, it ain't going to

(17:40):
be in the big Apple um. And Mike White is
another one of those pending free agent quarterbacks, and it'll
be very interesting to see what this ramp up or
sort of what, you know, what what this um opportunity
looks like for him, what he does with it. I
would just cost you, though, Like I'm just going to
throw this out there, like that's just philosophically who they are.

(18:09):
So I'm just gonna put that out there as a
public service announcement. I'm not trying to squash anybody's enthusiasm,
but that ain't a professional great operation, especially on the
defensive side of the ball, and especially on the day
where the kid who accounts for two, like three of
all their scrimmage yards as a quarterback wasn't playing. So

(18:32):
I just I'm just putting it out there. See, he
just did it with a funny voice. Smith. He echoed
everything I just said about the Bears. Yeah, but he
did it with a much funnier voice. It was. It
was much that's much better done. That's why we bring
him on. He's Jason locking forward with a scare, that
Jason Smith Show with me Mike Harmon here on Fox
Sports Radio. All right, let's go to another quarterback in

(18:53):
a little bit of hot water after firing off, you know,
and having to have a sit down with the coach
as the Ravens blew another lead. That's their fourth lead
of at least nine points that ended up in a loss,
and this one to the Jaguars. So what what what
do you make of this frustration boiling over? Well, look,

(19:14):
there they are not um. They're not a professional grade
offense right now. They're They're they're just not um. The
only team in the NFL with the worst receiver room
is the Chicago Bears. And there's that's not you can't
argue that fact. In fact, you can find a lot
of NFL teams in this league where they have two,

(19:39):
if not three wide receivers who would all be the
number one wide receiver on the Baltimore Ravens. That's that's
just a fact um they have. You know, they're fairly
sort of predictable. And the Ravens have also dropped ten
passes in the last two games, well three, you don't
think yesterday five Yesterday, a week after dropping five, they

(20:03):
dropped three touchdowns yesterday, so and the and and they
drafted a center who you know, does some nice stuff.
You can't snap the football. I mean it's it's like
it's like Lamar Jackson's got a juggle, you know, chainsaws
just to handle the snap. So that there's a lot
that's off there. And the running backs aren't special right now.

(20:25):
And the last two weeks, the Panthers and the Jags,
who have some athletic d ns, have decided we're going
to crash the mesh point and the pistol runs haven't
been there for the running backs now. Lamar when he
keeps it. That's fine, but he's also got a bang
up hip and they really didn't want to require him
to run fourteen times to lose to Jacksonville, but that's
what happened. So yeah, there's a lot of frustration there.

(20:45):
The way they've handled this contract situation as a franchise
is has has never been a particularly good look. And
it's always set up this scenario where every week is
going to be another referendum lamar jackson And none of
this is bringing out the best in anyone. But like,
they got Mark Andrews and they've got nothing else. And
Mark Andrews isn't close to and Mark Andrews the last

(21:06):
five weeks since he's been dinging up hasn't been particularly special.
Oh yeah, and he's one of the guys who dropped
the touchdown yesterday, so I don't know how much. I
don't know what he's supposed to do. He ran for
eighty four yards, he threw three touchdown passes that were dropped. Yes,
they weren't good in the red zone. Yes, they also
have nobody you need to worry about in the red
zone except for Mark Andrews. You know, the second move

(21:27):
tight end Isaiah likely didn't play like Rashad. Bateman's out
for the year. And I don't think Bateman's particularly special,
but he was far and away the best outside receiving
option they had. And they don't. They don't value it
as an organization. They systematically go out of their way
not to value it. They'll trade a two and a
five to rent an inside linebacker before they go and
get this kid, somebody who can catch the damn ball

(21:50):
outside the hash marks. They just won't do it. You know,
he pick Deshaun Why they pick to Shaan Jackson up
up the scrappy. He had a great play yesterday. He
played nine stamps. You know why he played nine snaps
his first game of the year. That heard his hamstring again,
because he's always hurting his hamstring. You know, they pick
the Parkers Robinson up up the strappie. He's the number
one receiver. Wait, yeah, eventually it's going to get in

(22:12):
the kid's head. And and the tweet was it was
a bad idea and it was a terrible tweet. And
I get it, like he's got to be better than that.
And I think in the future he'll be better than that.
But this thing has been sort of simmering for a
while now, and like it's hard to win in this
league when your defense consistently blows ten point leads and

(22:36):
you've got nobody throw the ball to except for a
tighten Jason lock and for our guest to Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon live from the tire rack dot
Com Studios, j what just one more on this for it?
We get on to uh to Aaron Rodgers, is that
is this more? This this meeting that they had today
with John Harbaugh to meet about this tweet and hardbulls

(22:57):
that listen. It's so out of character for Lamar to
tweet what he did was very offensive. Is this is
this relationship that he has with the Ravens? Is it
still salvageable after this year? Are you seeing things and
hearing things that hey, eventually they'll move on or is
this going to be at the end. It's it's it's
gonna be him going one way and and he's not
gonna be on the team after this year. I think

(23:18):
it's this is not breaking news. I've said this and
written this and like opine this many times. I it's
not a guarantee he gets a second long term contract here,
he's going to get the franchise tag and he's going
to eventually sign it because he's not gonna have really
any other options. Um more, even if he doesn't sign it,
maybe they come up with a trade option before the draft,

(23:39):
or maybe they come up with a trade option before
that July fifteenth or around about July fifteen deadline to
extend the player who's on the franchise tag. But no,
I think he's playing next year for forty three and
a half or whatever that number turns out to be
on the exclusive rights franchise tag. Um And I think
they continue to kick the can down the road. You know,

(23:59):
the owner has been pretty the owner, gul And really
said boo. In about four years. The only time he's
popped his head out and gotten off his yacht was
to say, hey, I'm not sure the kids worth the money.
He's definitely not getting into Shaun Watson contract. I don't
think that's good business. And he probably thinks he needs
to win a Super Bowl for me before he's even
worthy of taking my money, which you know, Lamar's like
that ain't true, um, but like that's it is what

(24:22):
it is, and they're not winning the Super Bowl this year.
I I mean, I'd be shocked if they do. And
so they tag him, the owner said. The one thing
he said is I think he's playing next year on
the franchise tag. Well, guess what he's playing next year
on the franchise tag. Um. I don't think he's gonna
come off of where he stands because he believes that
somebody out there would give him a penny more than
Deshaun Watson. And if that's not these guys, and it's

(24:44):
never gonna beat these guys, then it will be somebody else. Um.
But no, I think we'll be talking next year and
they'll be the same thing. They're They're squatting on Lamar
for another year, and you know, waiting to see what happens.
All right, last one real quick, Jason, the thumb, the ribs,
all these injuries piling up, and I was wondering if

(25:05):
operations shut down was starting to begin the second half
about Thursday night game and and Jordan's love comes in
and it quits himself pretty nicely. Yeah. I did a
lot of reporting on this about three weeks ago from
the Washington Post, and you know it was going to
be inevitable that Jordan's love played, whether Aaron Rodgers got
hurt or whether um, they just ran out of volume

(25:27):
of games to prove that this season mattered, because it's
not going to matter. They're not going anywhere, and that
mathematical reality is setting in. So this is year three.
You've got a fifteter option looming on this kid. Um, yeah,
you're stuck with Rogers, but my god, you're not close
to competing for a Super Bowl. And if he if
Rogers doesn't want to stick around, then you may need
to showcase Jordan's love for trade. But I ran this

(25:49):
scenario by you know, three different gms, and they all
said the same thing, Like, you're gonna have to play
this kid, because you're not sitting on a bevy of
picks like some of these other teams. What you got
for Davante Adams, You've already spent, that's already baked into
the cake. And your offensive line needs help, and your
left tackles probably done, and your defense defense isn't close

(26:12):
to what you thought it was, and you need you
need edge rushers, you need help in the secondary. Like
there's a lot of issues there beyond just the fact
that Aaron Rodgers is probably not that good anymore. So
what you're stuck paying him fifty million a year. You
can't trade Aaron Rodgers, but you may need to trade
Jordan's love if if, if he shows enough that he's
he's tradeable. Um that that's just where they are as

(26:34):
a franchise. He's on Twitter at Jason Locke and for
that is at Jason lock and Ford. Check out his
latest on the Washington Post, also at Odyssey. J is
always buddy, Appreciate your time, my friend. Anything big happens
with Mike White, We'll call you back. Hey, I'm right here.
I'm sitting by the phone. Thank you. Be sure to
catch live editions of The Jason Smith Show with Mike

(26:55):
Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven pm Pacific. All right,
this is Jay Glazer. And you may know me for
the world of football or fighting or even shows like
HBO's Ballers. Well you don't know is for my entire life.
I have lived in something I refer to as the
gray depression anxiety. So now I'm coming out with a
new podcast, Unbreakable, a mental health podcast with Jay Glazer,

(27:18):
where each week when we talk about mental health, I
hope to describe it, give it words. Listen to Unbreakable
with Jay Glazer on the I Heart Radio app, Apple
podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Well, if you
were in a very very deep fantasy league where you
played like fourteen running backs and you said, boy, I

(27:39):
need a Benny Snell miracle, Hey, you may have just
gotten your Benny Snell miracle. He is in the end
zone from three yards out. The Steelers now lead the
Cults extra point pending twenty two to seventeen. Snell now
has fifty yards and a touchdown. Look at Benny Snell, Gull,

(27:59):
Mike Carmen, look at him on the waiver wire this
coming week in fantasy football. By the way, you really
blew a prime opportunity, Uh to really do and do
it really well? Well, it's Benny. Benny turns on the
Jets for the end zone. I was trying to I mean,

(28:23):
you could get close by talking about Nell, uh and
Dudley do right, but it's not Snell. We could have
held him like Blake Snell, not as slow as the Snell,
but he Benny turns on the Jets Like that would
have been a better one. Yeah, that's true, ding ding
ding ding. Yeah, but yeah, the injury opens the door.
Will keep an eye. I mean, Harris isn't returning today,

(28:44):
but add him to the laundry list of injured players
across the National Football League. But all of a sudden,
some offense broke out and you got the two point conversion?
Is good? So we we have ourselves. We hit the
over something that seemed absolutely impossible able when we started
this show, when we started this hour, like we're gonna

(29:04):
talk a lot about other things because this game doesn't
have any juice, And all of a sudden, let's go
and luckily t J. Kevin Cash not coaching the Steelers,
or he would have pulled Snell early and not given
the ball to him to get in the ends. Look

(29:25):
what we did, Crosberg, Look what we did instead. Eric
Pegraham in the end zone. Uh so two point conversion
is good? Uh Pickens comes up with the ball in
the corner of the end zone. He's having a big
night now suddenly, Uh seventeen stealers with the lead about

(29:45):
ten minutes to go in the fourth quarter. Will have
more on this game as it continues to develop throughout
the night. But the result yesterday Mike, I'm telling you,
I am so stunned about this game, to the point
that now I'm ready to be out on them, even
though they're still first place in their division, because their
division is absolutely abysmal. We talked about this is why
they're staying afloat, But I am so incredibly stunted. How

(30:09):
does Tampa Bay lose to Cleveland? How do how do
they do it? Man? I mean how how this is
a game that that you say, Okay, we just go
in and execute and we win this game. They're still playing,
They're looking forward to next week. It's the last week
with Jacoby Brissette as the quarterback. They get to Shawn
Watson back in the week. The season has disappeared and

(30:30):
gone down the tubes for them. This is a team
that's three and seven with nothing to play for, and
you're the Bucks saying, okay, now is our time to
get it going. Brady's Brady's been able to put the
divorce in the rear view mirror. He's concentrating on football.
This should have been a walkover game, and I get
the Browns defenses decent. Miles Garrett, He's playing barely on
the field after with an injury from his automobile accident.

(30:50):
He thought he broke his shoulder like three times yesterday.
He still had like eleven sacks in the game. Watching
this team, they just look done. Tampa A Bay looks
done to the point where I'm like, you know what,
there's not gonna be a big week, twelve week, seventeen
run for them. Brady's not gonna suddenly be throwing three
touchdowns a week. I'm not waiting for them anymore. I'm

(31:11):
done with as. Somebody's got to win that division and
it may wind up being Tampa Bay because they're the
only team that look they're they're five and six right now,
but this is an awful division. But they're done. I
mean they've gotten old and injured overnight. Their weapons aren't
the same, right you look at the one guy they
have you're scared of right now is who Chris Godwin? Right,

(31:31):
He's the one guy that's playing that's playing well. Um,
when they won the Super Bowl, just going back two years,
Brady scared you, Godwin scared you. Evans, did Gronkowski, Antonio Brown,
Ronald Jones had his best years of running back in
the NFL. Now they don't have anybody. They just don't
have anyone. And they, like I said, they look old,

(31:51):
they look slow, they're injured. They just look like a
team that's like one of those veteran teams that's waiting
to make changes, big changes in the offseason. I mean,
I'm out on them now. I was always in on them.
Hey wait, just wait, give him to the middle of
the season, give him to the season. Will just wait,
just wait, just wait. No, now I'm out on after
that result yesterday, I'm out on them. Well, at this point,
you're just a moderately better version of the Denver Broncos

(32:15):
without all of the burning in effigy that's going on
in that You've got a defense that still ranks in
the top seven in the Natural Football League, and you've
scored more than twenty two points in a game once,
a game that you lost to shoot out against Kansas City.
Otherwise you're not you're not scoring points, you're not putting

(32:37):
the ball in the ends on and then you have
your coach with the most inexplicable answer to anything. Yeah,
we thought Tom could could throw an interception. I think,
when the hell does that happen? Why are you not
calling time outs? So why Yeah, well no, you got
fired for the from the Jets for myriad reasons, but
here you might as well just said I don't want

(32:58):
the headset anymore at that point, Yeah, let's take the
ball and not even give him a chance. And the
the offensive line play has been atrocious. You're playing, you know,
dinking dunk as you will, and Godwin was fantastic. And
then you had the hands to the phase call and
the offensive lineman what did he do the next play?
He waited for Garrett to get a five yard running

(33:20):
head to start. Yeah, that's a good idea. When you're
trying to pass block a guy, you gotta step up
into him, like snapping into a slim gim. He did nothing,
which forced Brady to get rid of the ball early,
and it's a bad thrown. What if what if you
had done that, actually got like a macho man look
alike to be on the sideline to tell and actually

(33:41):
do go snap into it to step into your throw? Yeah, yeah, alright,
there's offensive special offensive coordinator Randy macho man savage look
alike telling me, I gotta snap into the throws a
little bit more. But you can't make one of those
college play cards with photos big enough to cover up
the fact that he keeps doing they break, you know,

(34:05):
the snapping, the slim gin thing. What's he trying to
tell him? Right here too? Same? Hey, we just commemorated
is what would have been his seventieth birthday the other day? Oh? Yeah? Twitter?
And how about a Fresca Mike and swollen dome. I
am out on the Bucks and Tom Brady and kudos
to Iowa Sam for trying to make smell and smell

(34:25):
happen at the same I dig that
