(00:43):
Scott Dory acknowledge me. So here what goes out today?
Speaker 1 (00:48):
So you had Jesty? Yes, go well listen.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
I decided today was you know, once in a while,
I'm like, you know, this is one of those days
to wear a sleeveless top. And uh it really it
really hit home for me when I saw that the
Hartford Whaler sweatshirt that I normally wear had a big
rip right under the seam, under the underarm. I said, yeah,
it's time to make this a cutoff. So now it
looks even more vintage, right and like this I'm keeping
(01:12):
like usually when I wear like cutoff sweatshirts, like with
the cutoff sleeves, you know, like, Okay, this is the
last time he's gonna wear like He's like, I'm gonna
wear it one s guy, I'll like it. No, but this,
I like, this is gonna live for a while.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
This is gonna live for I mean, you did a
pretty good job of getting those sleeves off, whatever extra
attention he gave to it. Now we'll just do some
pushups there are over the course of the show.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
I will tell you this, there are not many people
that is there a living for this. I don't know,
but there are not many people that can cut sweatshirts
in the right spot like I do. There's not many
people that know how you want to make it into this.
You want to open the neck a little bit, you
want to make there are not many people that know
know how to do it because I know exactly what
the material is like. There's not many people that know
(01:52):
how to where to cut on the seam to perfect
begets the perfect spot. Like Kevin Washington just said, Man,
if I didn't know, you didn't tell me that, I
would have thought you got it.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
You thought it like that. No, but that's me. I
go to thrift stores.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Yeah, nicely done, Wizard wizards say it properly. I go
to thrift stores and then you go set up at
the Flea Marc and you can mark those up. There's
no question about it. Particularly here around southern California. You
can get over and get on with your bad self
and make a couple of extra extra bucks to pay
for more Jets merchandise. Yeah, because now, because clearly the
(02:24):
Mets are the Mets are just no, it's a final
fading into oblivion. Oh they had a good run, but
they were once. You know, they had the best record
in baseball.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember a loud voice telling me
that for days.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
But what do I say? The Mets got to get
me to the Jets. Mets, the Jets, Mets, the Jets. Okay,
that's what Happened's the jot.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
The Jets have to get ready to go, seven ready
to go, because that's got to get me to the Knicks.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Right exactly.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Two NFL games tonight, one still going on midway through
the third quarter. Giants lead the Patriots twenty one to ten.
I mean, while Steelers over the Panthers nineteen ten. We'll
get to that game coming up in a few minutes.
But today, if you needed any more evidence that the
Jackson Dart era was coming to a theater near you
sooner than anyone expected. This is if Jackson Dart was
(03:12):
a movie, it would be, Hey, here's the thing. It's
it's probably gonna be a limited streaming show that we're
gonna release sometime in a year or two. Then it
turns into all there seems to be some interest in it.
Maybe it's gonna be a streaming show. We get a
whole season, we're gonna just you know, drop it all
at once in the middle of the summer. Then it
would be wait a minute, Jackson Darts even better than
(03:32):
we thought. This is gonna be a new streaming show
that we're going to drop one episode at a time
in the spring when it's gonna really give us some
legs into the summer. And then it's gotten so good
that no, you know what plans on that that's out.
It's now gonna be a movie that we're releasing in
theaters at a at a good time, not like we're
gonna drop it like some kind of crazy ass, you know,
(03:55):
middle of the summer thing when people don't go no, no,
We're gonna drop this thing right before Academy a season
in theaters only that's Jackson Dart.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
You have truly upset the apple cart in a whole
other way because you just described in reverse how this
whole movie and television business has changed over the last decade.
Once upon a time, what was a nice project that
looked like a little theater production brought to the big screen.
It's gonna it's gonna make this guy that's the Oscar
(04:25):
Not no, I mean, is it commercial?
Speaker 1 (04:28):
No?
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Put it to and then eventually down to streaming. I mean,
you saw what they're doing with The Office spinoff, and
it was once gonna be every other every week. All right,
here's four off the jump, and then you're gonna come
and there's like, yeah, we're gonna give in to you
all at once. We're hopeful that you I know, you
just decide you're in.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
I knew when the Bear decided to do that. Here's
bad seasons coming up and they're gonna be dressed up
that people are still gonna think it's good. And the
Bear has been awful for two years now. Anytime you
drop all the episodes at once, I know it's bad.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
I know it.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
And the people doing the Bear to like, wow, we
are fooling Hollywood. Man, I can't get over all the
people that don't know what they're talking about, saying, look
at the gorgeous shots we have in this and look
at the soundtrack, Like, Yeah, when I can explain an
entire plot of an entire streaming season in less than
eight seconds, you know that's a bad show man.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
They are fooling everybody.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
Yeah, I just love. That's why I like sports man.
You see it, you gotta done on the field or
you don't. Right, That's why I like sports Wins losses
right the menu, as we've long talked about in this world,
but the bear, I mean, give me more Oliver Platt,
Jamie Lee, Curtis and Berenthal and I win, and of
course cause Richie.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
So this is what's happening right now. Giants again over
the pagers twenty one to ten. All three quarterbacks who
have played tonight have thrown a touchdown, including Phil Simms,
but the star all the talk Jackson Dart six out
of twelve for eighty one yards, including this.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
Takes the staff stands in the pocket, fires over the
middle cut touchdown.
Speaker 4 (05:57):
It's dulcicch Dart hooking up with Dulcic in consecutive games
and the Giants strike first thty minutes and one second
into the game.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Well, Giants TV on the call, welcome back to Fantasy relevance,
Greg Dulcich. It's been a while since we thought you
were gonna be the joker in Denver, Oh, all the
way back towelve. That'd be for Greg Dulsig. But Jackson
Dart again look great tonight. He also had a scramble
for twenty three yards as well. There's no denying that
(06:31):
this is going to end with Jackson Dart starting for
the Giants by the beginning of October. Now, it's there's
just no way to stop that train, right, there's no
This train has left the station.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
It is gone.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
It is not turning back. Dart has too much momentum
behind him, both what we see on the field, what
we've heard about him at practice, what the Giants are
trying to accomplish this year. They're not trying to have
some crazy last gas playoff run with Rob Wilson. We're
going to try to squeak in this is we're starting over.
Dart is a first round pick. We've talked about it
(07:05):
many times. Right, we said Dart's gonna start by the
beginning of October. Russell Wilson's going to be on the bench.
Because Russell Wilson is cooked. He'll look good a little bit.
But in the end, the desire to see Jackson Dart
play after the first month is going to be too much.
And Brian Dable Joe Shane want to save their jobs.
They want to show that we're the guys to shepherd
this new era of the Giants through with Jackson Dart
(07:26):
and Scataboo and Tracy and Malik Neighbors and maybe Greg Dalton.
So we want to be those guys. Now you've heard
us say this, right, But now how about something a
little bit different tonight right, give you something little bit
different on this I've told you that Russell Wilson, this
is me the last year of his career and he's
going to end it on the bench of the Giants,
Which is kind of sad thinking about when you have
(07:47):
a guy that's a borderline Hall of Famish kind of
career that's won Super Bowls, that has been great for
so long, it's kind of tough, right, It's tough to see.
But now I'm gonna give you something different because Jackson.
Dart has pushed this timeline up from middle to the
later part of the season to now to gonna be
like after the first four weeks, right, and nothing short
(08:08):
of a three and one start by the Giants is
gonna keep Russell Wilson a quarterback. And the Giants aren't
starting three and one. I'm now gonna give you greater
odds that Russell Wilson finishes the season as the quarterback
for another NFL team then he does on the bench
for the Giants, because this change is gonna be made early.
(08:29):
Dart is not going anywhere if it's a lost season
your first round quarterback plays the entire season, You're not
gonna sit back and say, hey, we'll go back to
Russell Wilson at some point. So he's gonna be the
quarterback by October, and then Russell Wilson's gonna be the
sought after guy at the deadline for a team because
you know, quarterbacks get injured all the time. What we know,
sixty guys are gonna play this year. So that team
(08:50):
that loses a quarterback that doesn't quite have what they
need behind them, hey, maybe we need a steady guy
that doesn't have to play the whole season. We just
eat him for five or six weeks and Russell Wilson
can come in learn the system.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
After a week.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
You know, I bet we'll like to see that moon
ball a little bit before you know, he winds up
falling apart again. But we we will try to get
something out of him for the last five or six
weeks of the season and squeak into the playoffs because
that's going to happen. Quarterbacks get hurt, all kinds of guys.
Two guys per team start a year, right, that's just
how it goes. Better chance Russell Wilson ends the season
(09:25):
on another team than he does with the Giants.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Yea, I'm gonna give you a full credit because uh,
I mean, it's like you hit the bonus phrase that
pays by getting moon ball into the discussion because it's.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
The only I scream Russell Wilson.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Remember, but when he took over with Pittsburgh last year,
what was the first thing they said, Well, he could
throw the moon ball, something that Justin Fields can't, and
he hit out a coup. Yeah, not enough to keep
George Pickens happy, but that's fine. You move on, and
certainly there's going to be would be contenders that get desperate,
somebody gets hurt, they look at their backup. As this
goes back to our conversation in Chicago about liking Tyson
(10:04):
Bagent and just paying him because he's happy to be
there and all the excitement, all the emotion, go back
and listen to the podcast for all that. But there
will be a team that somewhere in the NFL that
it thinks they're going to make a push, Like we
watched with Major League Baseball at the trade deadline, a
couple of teams got pretty active. Do they have a
real snowballs chance in hell? No, but they're at least
(10:26):
fishing around the second or third wildcard.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
So you have.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
Hope, and hope's a dangerous thing, but it also may
lead you to the Promised Land if things break your right,
your way and other injuries and issues before your opposition.
For Russell Wilson, I think we saw enough last year.
I mean, he's not done. Is he a guy that
I want to give the keys to full time?
Speaker 1 (10:47):
No?
Speaker 3 (10:48):
And here with the Giants, as we've elaborated these last
couple of weeks talking about this, you got a tough
slate right off the jump at Washington at Dallas.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
We'll get to Dallas. Plenty on them today, Kansas City.
Pick it up here. Okay, sorry, sorry, sorry, you.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
Told me that before the show. Now you're bringing it
to the American people.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
You can stick it up you know you can do.
You can stick it up here. Okay, just want to
make it. It might be my ring tone before the
night ends. And then a week before you got the Chargers.
Guess what.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
Week five is a road trip to New Orleans. So
it is set up perfectly. And we've talked a lot
about the dable and shame thing and all the stats
that keep getting thrown up for Jackson. Dart at the
moment has not been too big. He's led a bunch
of touchdown drives. He's got good mobility, good escapability, all
(11:36):
of that. You've got a couple of young players around
him that can play. Whether Dulcic becomes a guy that's
useful again, I don't know. But it's nice to have
extra options in your passing game, no question about it.
Tight end can become your your best friends as you're
a young quarterback. But all of that to say, you're
over under his five and a half wins. You're not
(11:58):
expecting greatness for the season, so at least show strides,
and you're not doing that with Russell Wilson.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
Just think about that NFL on Fox, that that promo
that you know someone's gonna be reading week four Da
dada da da and next week and I'll do it
like Marv Albert And next week the Jackson Dart Tyler
Shuck showdown the Giants and the Saints one o'clock the
National Game here on Fox.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Then the Saints win, it says, go shuck yourselves.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
The Saints with a big win at home and forty
eight to forty seven in the final Shuck and Jackson
Dart combining for eleven touchdowns apiece. Wow, not exactly what
either of these defenses had in mind. Meanwhile, arch Manning cries,
Mike Furtello, what did you make of Jackson Dart's first start?
Speaker 3 (12:45):
Well, let me drain on the tallastrator right here as
he got Dan has a back cut right there.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
But I mean, because Russell Wilson, he knows, right, he knows,
he knew as soon as the Giants took Jackson Dart. Okay,
maybe he's got a show that he needs some time.
But in the end he knows, he knows that when
they draft him, it was okay, I only have a
little bit of time here. I have a little bit
of time, and I have a month and then I
got to find a way to get someplace else because
he is not gonna want to finish his career on
(13:12):
the sideline, and it's gonna be an easy thing where hey,
we've made the turn to Jackson Dart. Another team needs you,
other team, so let's get me there. Because the last
thing that I can envision for Russell Wilson is him
sitting on the sideline for the better part of the
season with the you know, with the with the winner,
because you can see him right with the with the
(13:32):
with the wool and cap on, right with the big giants, uh,
the big with his hands in his pockets, you know,
giving giving advice to Jackson Dart. That's not how, That's
not how Russell Wilson should end his career. Right, He's
got to end it at least on the field one
one way, shape or form, or be dragged off the field.
Right that that's how, that's how it's got to end.
You gotta be able to call the end and Wilson.
(13:54):
Did he want to push it one year too much?
Speaker 1 (13:56):
Yeah? He did.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
Last year is when he should have walked out. Hey,
I was clearly done at the end. You saw the
way it ended for Pittsburgh. One more playoff appearance he
got there. That's when it should have ended for him.
But no, no, I still want to do it. So I
want to do it. Okay, but now you realize you're
throwing the end of your career and how it works
into flux. This is what after October. First, we get
me someplace else. He's gonna be checking making sure is
everybody healthy? All the quarterbacks good? Anybody not playing well?
(14:19):
Is JJ McCarthy no good? Can I get there? Because
I think they got healthy receivers? Now all of a sudden,
what else, Hey, we could trade you to the Saints
because Tyler shut got her?
Speaker 1 (14:27):
No, no, no, no, Well, at least they get to
finish on the field.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
Well, they wouldn't do that because it might act accidentally
win a game or two.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
Yeah, last year, I think the Saints. I don't know.
The Saints are gonna win a couple of nimes. I
don't know.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
Someone Chris Olave is gonna make one or two plays
just to screw things up. Sixteen dutchdowns, five picks for Russell.
Last year quarterback reigning him a by ninety six, completed
about sixty four percent of his passes. Look, I'm not
going to bury him. We just announced the signing of
Nate Sudfeld. Yeah, yeah, twenty sixteen.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
He's only two years.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
Oh two years and or four years twenty twelve draft we.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
Had, We had him. It was awesome.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
I just wanted to get Suid film either way. I mean,
twenty sixteen, he's still latching on if Russ is willing
to pay for the play for the minimum. He's only
making ten million this year, so not a prohibitive cost
to pick up by any team that gets desperate.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
You know, perhaps there's one last run in that.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
Arm exit out about a Fresca exit Swallen Dome. Jason
Smith Mike Carman live from the Fox Sports Radio Studio,
Jackson Dart Week five. Russell Wilson better chance on a
different team than with the Giants.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
Book it.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
We got more NFL on the way in Kate. Well,
it doesn't matter if you heard it. It's worth hearing
a million times over. Jerry Jones giving the latest update
on the Micah Parsons contract situation.
Speaker 5 (15:50):
I'm gonna do things my way, and my way is terrible.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
And the thing is, you're gonna hear Jerry Jones talk
and think it's Ai Jerry Jones and it's not.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
But that's just still.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
Jerry, Mary Jones, Real Jerry, It's next rid here Jason
and Mike Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 5 (16:05):
We won't need to send the details to the agent.
The agent solders.

Yeah, the Jason Smith Show with my best friend Mike Harmon.
Who Giants lead the Patriots thirty five ten Now in
the third quarter following a pick six Jackson Dark did
not return this for a touchdown, just so sure he's
not playing the do everything, did not do it. We
(18:17):
are in the cusp of a big baseball weekend. We
have Yankees and the Red Sox happening right now. Yankees
batting in the bottom of the ninth inning. They trail
the Red Sox four to three, but Dodgers padres again
coming your way starting tomorrow night. Like there is there
is some fun stuff happening because, like I said, for
the Yankees, every day they just try to do enough
(18:40):
to survive to the next day. Right everything is is
on the cusp of falling apart, no matter how many
home runs they hit the day before. Everything is, do
we have enough to make it to the next day?
Like life in Yankee Land is really tough, man, Life
is tough in those Yankee streets. And they just go
down to defeat to the Red Sox. So here's game
one of a big four game weekend. Series where the
(19:03):
Red Sox could really just I mean, Aaron Boone might
not make it past Monday if the Red Sox sweep
the Yankees.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
Red Sox win it four to three.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
Wow, you're excising him now, just like that, that's only eight.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
I think. I think we've still got a nine. Oh
I thought it was. Oh okay, sorry, my bad, My
bad for our parallel.
Speaker 3 (19:23):
I mean, no, look, just because you wanted to send
that hateful message to your dad and Fabiano, my bad.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
No, I know you're right.
Speaker 7 (19:29):
Good.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
We did see a concerned Aaron Boone.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Yeah, well I did. I did have the fun conversation
with my dad and Fabiano. Tell you about the Yankee
bobblehead night tonight, which uh lines Unlike they were basically
o tawny like bobble headlines at Yankee Stadium tonight. Because
the bobblehead was George Costanza sleeping under his desk on Seinfeld,
which is an awesome looking It's a bobblehead that is horizontal,
(19:56):
right like, I mean, you don't get many horizontal bobbleheads
because the whole thing is the bobble as well. So
it's a horizontal George Costanza sleeping under his desk, like
that is. I'm not big on all kinds of memorability
going that's kind but that is something that's kind of cool.
That's something I don't know that waiting to line that
long for Yankee fans, but I would wait in line
for a long time for that.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
But this is a follow up to last night, right
when we were talking about that George Webb Berger promotion
as to how long you would stand in line for
a free burger. Yeah, yeah, Yeah, this is one hundred
and forty to one hundred and seventy five dollars bobblehead.
That's a big one man, right, it's a big last
three that's sold. We're between one hundred and forty four
plus shipping and one hundred and fifty yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
First eighteen thousand people. Yeah, so it's a limited number.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
Right when we talk Dodger Stadium, we're talking either forty
thousand or capacity, depending on whether it's a you know,
like you're trying to get your in Keith k Hernandez
bobblehead or or when they do Otani all bobblehead promotions
for him, or to capacity. But still you see people
lining up like it wouldn't have believe and for this
(20:59):
costanza leaping under the desk, it's about as good as
it gets. Is there a little Playboy magazine that comes
out at a candy bar?
Speaker 2 (21:07):
That would be well that if you get a real
candy bar, that'd be cool. See you like and I
walk in, I'd like that.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
That'd be great, nice little bonus for your one hundred
and fifty dollars bobble hitting.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
So again, going to the ninth, I thought it was
when I looked up, it was bottom. It was the
bottom of the ninth. It was bottom of the eighth.
I need to start wearing glasses more often to look ahead, like,
you know, fifteen feet in front of me now to
that point, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
You gotta wear shades.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
No, I mean, look, I think it was just kind
of wishing that the Yankees fell because the Mets lost time.
Misery loves company, But we just had the open talking
about what's in you know, what do they have in common?
Jets fans and somehow I'm still the lonely Bears guy.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
But all of that to say, we lose, and it's
good stink.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
It could get worse because Eraaldas Chapman is up to
close it out for the Red Sox of the ninth inning.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
How about that? Yeah, buddy, Yeah, he's a curious guy.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
And me Meanwhile, Jerry Jones did a podcast or you
YouTube channel conversation with Michael Irvin today Cowboys Legend and
Jerry of course, you know, liking the fact the Cowboys
are in the news, liking the fact that the Michah
Parsons contract situation is still hanging over the team. Never
misses a chance to get out there and just put
(22:14):
his side of the story out. Sure, so this is
must listen audio. I'm sure we're gonna play this forever
on the show. I mean, as much as we play
the AI Jerry Jones, I'm gonna do it.
Speaker 5 (22:25):
And my way is terrible.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
Again, we have to clarify that that is AI Jerry Jones.
What you're gonna hear right now is not AI Jerry Jones.
It is real Jerry Jones. It is real and it
is spectacular. Here he is talking about the situation with
Parsons and why he is unsigned, and Jerry talks about
how they thought they had a deal and when they
(22:49):
called the agent, Michaeh Parson's agent, things went a little haywire,
but let Jerry explain it in his best way possible.
Speaker 5 (22:57):
We wanted to send the details to the age the
agent solders Bepper asked. Mike and I talked, and then
we were going to send it over to the agent,
and we had our agreements on term, amount, guarantees, everything.
We were going to send it over to the agent,
and the agent said, don't bother because we've got all
(23:20):
that to negotiate. Well, we've got this theory resolved in
my mind for the dollars cowboys, and we've got it done.
And if the agent wants to finish up the detail,
which is should and we're ready to go. But as
far as the amount of money, the years, the guarantees,
all of that we negotiate.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
All right, So again I want you to hear the
very beginning again before we make two big points about
this God play again.
Speaker 5 (23:46):
We wanted to send the details to the agent. The
agent solders to.
Speaker 2 (23:50):
Bepper asked, all right, Ayden told us that stick it
up our blank Now first thing number one, Jerry Jones
over eight. Now my impression is really blank, and good
man like my impression, and you listen to him talk
now you can't sit here and say.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
Oh, you're Jerry's impression is not that good.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
No, my Jerry, listen to how low and guttural my
voice gets when I do listen to Agent told us
to stake it where the sun don't shine. Not gonna
say that, but I'll say I'll say it where it stiff.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
Good morning to you.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
Uh we're gonna uh uh uh talk talk to sticking
uh uh boy, I got myself in a bit of
a sticky wicket here. Uh let me uh try to
try to get you know, we gave Dak all that
money last year.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
I mean my my, I mean now, my my, Jerry, Joe.
You hear Jerry. Joe's now going wait a minute, way
to wait a minte. Jason's impression that's pretty good.
Speaker 3 (24:44):
Well, but well you should have if you would have
prefaced it all along. Is this is Jerry in five years.
I think Jerry's come down to meet you there, Yeah,
coming down.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
Michael came now because of all the cigars and the Brendy.
His voice has come down several No, no, no, Michael kay,
I can't go fast because Michael Kane speaks, and.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
No, Jerry's come down to meet me now.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
It's like Jerry doing an impression of me doing an
impression of him. I'll tell you Michael Arry coxception got
a moment he told us to stay. Can I say
it on your show? I mean I know that well,
I mean some of the stuff we had going on
in the nineties that was.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
Oh boy, that was something.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
I remember that time when I drove by the Ferrari
and and you were going back in the Testa Rosa
and I waved to you and uh and and everybody
in the back of your car and everybody in the
back of my I met, okay, you know what that's
that's for the after Dark YouTube show that we have.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
Like now you here, Jerry, it's the same. No, it's
pretty good.
Speaker 3 (25:35):
Rob Bryden and Steve Coogan was the reference with the
Michael Caine impressions. But but for Jerry, I mean, tell
me the stories that you kind of allude to there.
Oh yeah, usually we've roped in the seventies Luminaries TV Stars.
That was when I was Catherine Back and I had
gone out after a big Duke's of Hazard taping and
I said, you know what, you should just have these
(25:57):
all these different musical acts, uh, show up and play
at the Boor's Nest, and I said, you know, get
Glenn Miller and Lawrence Welk.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
He could do some stuff.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
And they said, well, what have forgot some country music's
biggest stars that that could work too, So that that
that got written into the U to the dialogue there
the Boor's Nest, and I said, no, stone Under said,
you know you got a whole one on the side
of the General Lee. It's got to be a different
color for Catherine Back. I'm kind of unofficially representing Daisy
in well, and also Uncle Jesse too in all negotiations.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
I'm surprised he hasn't taken credit for going from Jeans
to the Daisy Dukes, okay, and the shorts over time.
But I have to ask that in the Netflix documentary,
do I get any of these Jerry Jones stories and
Jerry Jones isms with Michael irvining Company, Because if not,
I'm I got no interest.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
Let me tell you what happened.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
This is back when we went out, we drafted a
young running back named herschel Walker.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
Oh wait, we traded for it. Never mind, you know.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
But the other thing I want to say is this,
and this is where you know Ian Roddy Alloy, it's
serious now or no, no, no, I have I have a
legitimate quest, show legitimate question. Play the beginning of that
Jerry Jones thing again, play one more time. Uh, they
said shine it your shoeshiner, there's no shoe shines, no
shining shoes I got. I got my shoes shined. Stallback
(27:14):
used to do it for me after every Got Your
Shine Box. Yeah, that was what it was. Oh like
that part of the movie, Like, no one could see
that coming. Hey, they're keeping billy bats there so long,
getting them drunk. What's gonna happen? All of a sudden
Peci comes back and that's it for billy Bats. Some
of the worst kicks ever thrown, little kicks.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
Those are worse than a Lane's little kicks on sign though, Also,
what was doing sunk sunk?
Speaker 1 (27:36):
PEESHI too can't do that to a made man. He's
gotta know what. I walk into that garage and there's
nobody else in there, and it was what we could do. No, No,
that was that we could do. That was it.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Very difficult, very difficult. You're not going to lose attention
right here. I want to play that play that again,
and I got a question for you.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
Know, he did that at a fan event the other
day for the first time in years.
Speaker 5 (27:57):
But he wanted to send the details to the agent.
The agent.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
Okay now I now, okay, now that phrase stick it
up our blank right?
Speaker 1 (28:06):
Okay? Why is stick bleep? Seriously? Like why is stick bleak?
Speaker 5 (28:14):
But won'ted tocend the details to the agent the.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
Aged like like the stick is a fly as you
could say, yeah, well we don't know for sure that
it's stick because it's bleeped. Okay, okay, okay, but the
quote is they told to stick it up we should
play a game. What do you think Jerry really said that?
They said, but why is why is stick? Ladies and gentlemen,
(28:37):
that's not what you see? What do we stick up?
Speaker 1 (28:39):
Bar blank?
Speaker 2 (28:39):
That's that's okay. It's not safe harbor yet it's not
safe harm ye okay, no yeah, no, no, no, you're
it's that the place if someone says, go blank yourself,
they don't bleep go San Diego. You know, they don't
say that. They don't go blank yourself, San Diego. They
don't do bleak bike he's that. No, they don't do that,
(29:01):
though they.
Speaker 3 (29:02):
Might get rid of the city because it could be
any city and you just inserted based on what you're thinking.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Yeah, but they go like yourself, Wait what city was
I talking about? Like that's the whole purpose, that's the
whole purpose behind it is to make sure that the
words you can't say. And I don't think there's anything
awful with that. Like Jerry Jones is giving a quote,
we should play it. But I understand airing on the
side of caution, But why is stick black?
Speaker 5 (29:25):
I don't want to details to the agent the agent so.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
Like I don't, I don't. I don't know why.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
It's emphasis the rest of it, the rest of it
we're playing. The rest of it is fine, sounds cool. No, Well,
but then I party want to say, do we need
to bleep any of it?
Speaker 5 (29:40):
Jab?
Speaker 1 (29:41):
Does the rest stick?
Speaker 4 (29:43):
Like?
Speaker 1 (29:43):
What word are we looking for? I don't understand. I
think you're onto something. I think I might be too.
What do you think? No, there's definitely something to this conversation.
I just yeah, I think an editor is getting fired
for Jason right now.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
He went to work for the FCC and all of
a sudden, lot of fire we're coming in and all
of a sudden, the FCC was getting rich because uh,
you know he called out the stations for hey, when
it's one of the seven words, you can't say that,
George Carlin Fellow. Uh, that's what you can't bleep. Over
All of a sudden, we got money coming in and uh,
you know we all this this is a lot of
people getting fired, but we got money coming in here
(30:17):
because the Smith kid went to the FCC or I
forget SEC.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
No, they went to nine games at the conference schedule. Hey,
play football, they'll pay well. Listen.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
In my previous when I was a businessman, SEC is
something you didn't really want to talk about. That was
a bad, bad connotation with the SEC. Now it's just, hey,
it's where where.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
All the good players come to the NFL from, learn
how to dance from the sez Okay.
Speaker 8 (30:41):
So you do something funnier, Ladies and gentlemen, guess that.
Editor As I click right click on the sound clip
and go to display event, we have the name.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
Guess who it is. We're gonna say the name of
somebody nobody knows who they are.
Speaker 8 (30:54):
Is it A Brandon Okay? Is it b Patrick Okay?
Is it c Update anchor? Bree okay, or is it t.
Speaker 1 (31:06):
Ryan Berschinger.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
I'm gonna say because I like all the editors and
now do hard wore, do hard work force, I'm gonna
say it's E none.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
Of the above. No, e wow, none of the I
say E none of the above. Wow.
Speaker 2 (31:22):
I like everybody working here. I bought wings for everybody tonight.
Everybody's eating good. Not gonna have a bad Thursday night.
You're not fun, Jerry, probably somebody else who's not here.
Speaker 1 (31:31):
Fine? Who was it really nice?
Speaker 2 (31:34):
No?
Speaker 1 (31:35):
I said, E okay, nobody's listening right.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
Speaking to E time out to find out what's trending
in the wide world of sports from bream Euros.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
She's got it all for us. What do you go?
By the way, was Ryan Berchinger? I know, I was
like waiting.
Speaker 7 (31:48):
I was like, I wonder if he's gonna guess it,
and I wonder if you would.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
Have been right?
Speaker 2 (31:52):
Who?
Speaker 7 (31:52):
Where'd you really want to go?
Speaker 1 (31:53):
Jason? Who was your first guest?
Speaker 7 (31:55):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (31:56):
No, I'm sorry, whatever your name is, Jerry.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
My first guest was gonna be Tasha did it himself?
Trying to deflect blame.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
Yeah, yeah, that makes sense. Anyways.
Speaker 7 (32:06):
Preseason action the Giants are killing the Patriots forty two
to ten. Tommy Divino fifteen to seventeen, one hundred and
eighty four yards and three touchdowns, so that is exciting
for him. The Steelers are beating the or The Steelers
beat the Panthers nineteen to ten. In Major League Baseball,
one out left. The Yankees are down to the Red
(32:28):
Sox six to three. Is the bottom of the ninth.
Earlier today, the Dodgers defeated the Rockies nine to five.
The Padres beat the Giants eight to four. They're one
game back of the Dodgers in the NL West. The
Astros beat the Orioles seven to two, and the Cardinals
defeated the Rays seven to four.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
Back to you guys, thanks a much.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
Free Jason Smith Mike Harmon live from the Fox Sports
Radio studios. Now we'll have the mac aside of it
coming up next hour. Because he scrubbed all mentions of
the Cowboys off his social media pictures of bees. Not
that I saw it, but I said to Steve and
I said, hey, get on the TikTok uh, you know,
get on the I think that's the that's the name
(33:08):
of the crocodile from the Peter pan Uh the TikTok.
You hear him coming because he swallowed the clock. And
uh you know you hear him coming. Go you got
to get out of the way because you know, crocodile
was an alligator, which one which one has a adds
a smaller snout, that's the the wider snout, that's the crocodile.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
Very good.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
See I learned it because I went to school at Arkansas.
Uh but uh anyway, Uh what was I saying? Uh
Micah Parson's uh uh so yeah, Michael Parsons scrubbed his
social media of any reference to the Dallas Cowboys. We'll
love more on this story coming up as well. But
straight ahead, why we're gonna focus for a few minutes
(33:46):
on the best non story of the preseason non story,
The best non story that's next right here, Jason and
Mike Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 5 (33:56):
Look, I'm gonna do things my way, and my way
is terrible.
Speaker 1 (34:06):
Don't listening to sports radio radio.
Speaker 2 (34:09):
Fox Sports Radio, The Jason Smith Show with my best
friend Mike Harmon.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
You selfish bastard from the Fox Sports Radio studios. You
just never see that one coming to you. No, No,
I never do. I never do.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
That is one of the great punch you in the
back of the head moments every damn night.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
Told us to go stick it up, bar all right, So.
Speaker 5 (34:29):
We wanted to send the details to the agent.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
And again I don't know why stick was bleeped. What
we're doing?
Speaker 7 (34:38):
What we wanted to know?
Speaker 1 (34:40):
Fox Sports bleeping radio? How wait, we have the best
national product to cross the airways? How does this? How
do we bleep in that?
Speaker 3 (34:48):
I think it's better that way though, I think it's funnier.
I didn't know it's the word up. I don't think
we had to bleep any of it.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
But the one thing I know though, too much Jerry
Jones now because now because gotta hurt Jerry's getting older.
He's coming back to me now because it sounds like
Jerry doing an impression of me doing impression of him.
But like, if I do a little bit too much
like that, it's tied. I need some die coke.
Speaker 1 (35:10):
Choking you out. I do like you.
Speaker 3 (35:12):
Also, as we were finishing that discussion, brought up the hey,
I said, Steven over to TikTok. Yeah, sixty one year
old Stephen Jones, get on over there. I'm not saying
there's not a TikTok over fifty, but I think it's
a much smaller demograph.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
I mean, you're younger than me, so get on a TikTok.
You're the social media specialist here.
Speaker 3 (35:34):
And out of that documentary, so many stories of how
much people didn't want to deal with Steven I can't.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
I really, I've heard of yourself. I need a break
now for Jerry Jones. Right now people listening going, yes,
a break from Jerry. Yeah, I need a break somewhere point. So, uh,
let's talk for a second about the best non story
of the preseason, because that was on display tonight.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
Certainly out of our team Steelers.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
Beat the Panthers nineteen ten. It was another game we
did not see nor hear from Aaron Rodgers this preseason. Right,
this is the best the preseason. He did see that
we bleeped the right thing. Right, if you had kept
that and and Kenny Maine saying, Aaron and bleeped the
(36:23):
Rogers that like that would have got us in trouble.
Speaker 9 (36:25):
Asked the fact that we have had so little conversation
about Aaron Rodgers this preseason is awesome.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
I asked for it a month ago and the football
gods delivered. I said, hey, you know what, let let
for Aaron Rodgers. We can't do it anymore as a
as an as a football public, we are over the
Aaron Rodgers daily drama right now. He ran the fast
lane the last two years of Green Bay, his two
years of the Jets, Like that is something man like.
(36:57):
He had the fast lane for four years where he
was all we could talk about. But knowing that he's
near the end, knowing that the Steelers, he's just trying
to hang on, knowing how it's going to end. I
had that sense a month ago. Look, everybody's kind of done,
and we'll be back in when the games count. Because
when the games count, we go where the stories are right,
we go to But Aaron rodd this preseason, I think
(37:20):
there's many more things to care about, or basically we
just replace him with Shador Sanders. But Aaron Rodgers hit
his point of mass saturation with general NFL fan where
they know what. I really don't care to hear from
him anymore. Not because he said something controversial or he
said this on Pat McAfee's show, but just no, I'm
kind of done with it, kind of done with anything
(37:41):
going on with right, it's been a long time.
Speaker 1 (37:43):
I've heard it.
Speaker 2 (37:44):
I know what he's about, whether you want to talk
about him on the field or his vaccine stances, whatever
it was. We've kind of had it with Aaron Rodgers.
Now when it gets on the field Week one coming
up in twelve days, Hey, all right, let's get ready
to go. This is where let's see the rotten. You know,
everybody is waiting for him to fail. That's the general
general sense of an NFL fan. But it's so good
(38:06):
that we have had a preseason that has been bereft
of Aaron Rodgers talk because we are we are now
like we do in this country. We are hot and
heavy on somebody for a while, they're in the fast line,
fast and then we're just kind of done, right like
Sidney Sweeney's in the fast lane right now, Sidney Sweeney
all anybody could talk about.
Speaker 1 (38:23):
That's gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
Then eventually we're just gonna be okay, you know, we're
done and going on to somebody.
Speaker 3 (38:26):
Case in point, they'd put out a movie that was
in the hopper for a good two years. It was
in theaters a week on.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
Can you can so? The website I could get the
jeans on is.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
But all of that say, like you and I had
many a discussion behind the scenes over Aaron Rodgers because
I was done with him. I think a long time
before you were okay, but.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
I didn't think.
Speaker 2 (38:47):
I didn't think he I mean also you also had
a lifetime of him tormenting you. Yea in but like
whenever he would chirp on McAfee or whatever, like most of.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
It is like I don't care.
Speaker 3 (38:57):
He can spout off whatever his theories are, whatever his
truths are. That's great and for segments of our society
and now deep thoughts like he's Jack Handy have at it.
From a football standpoint, I was curious to see what
he do with your jets. Unfortunately, year one we got cheated.
All we got was him carrying out a flag and
that was the end of it, which meant he had
(39:17):
a lot of time on his hand. And then last year,
well clear it didn't work. Now, once they brought in
DeVonta Adams, Hey, the offense clicked at times and there
was some excitement. Doesn't translate to an he wins, but
at least some serviceable work. Now with Pittsburgh, I like
that it's just go back to work and just try
to put something together, whether it's respect of what Mike
Tomlin is as a coach and what the Steelers organization is,
(39:42):
or also realizing that the sand in the hour, glasses
running out, and that this is your last, best, only
chance to go out a winner and to have some
redemption to what was once the man this guy is
one of the greatest quarterbacks we've ever seen, to what
became a side show right because go back five years ago,
whether you liked him or not, like the guy himself
(40:03):
and what you'd heard coming out that all of a sudden, well, yeah,
now we're actually getting to winning time best.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
Non story of the preseason. The gift we all got.
We get back into that huge Cowboys story next Fox
