fourth quarter, North Dakota State is in the end zone.
They go for two and don't get it. It is
a thirty one to twenty six lead for Colorado over
North Dakota State. North Dakota State does have two timeouts left,
but certainly a big miss right there on the two
point convergence. Now it's gonna have to get the ball

back end, get in the end zone for North Dakota State.
But before we move on.

we're gonna double a guy that's that that's closing on
two hundred yards on us today. But he makes a

play and it's not even a push off, which has
been his big move tonight.

Well, he got chucked pretty good, right, It was in
the five yards, so we actually recovered pretty well from
uh and then some it is from from a pretty
good push.

And this is about concentration and body control and talent.
And he's falling down out of bounds but reaches back
with both hands to grab it when the defense's arm
is kind of in the way, Like listen, the defender
is going to make the play by by deflecting the

You can have argued that the flag should have been thrown, right,
I mean he's into his body before the ball gets there.

Oh yeah yeah, but reaching back and but scouts don't care. Hey,
I don't give a crap about that fight through reaching
back and making that catch with both hands, staying in
bounds and falling out of bounds. Dude, don't play anymore.
You do not need to play. You are the number
one pick in the draft. I do not need to
see anything else after Travis Hunter, after this game punctuated

by that touchdown, I need to see nothing. Whatever else
you got, man, all you can do is get hurt
or something else happens, and looking Colorado could go four
and eight. Don't need any more, dude, you are the
number one pick.

Yeah, that was absolutely absurd. He catches a swing pass
and then there's four people waiting for him here as
it ticks down towards two minutes, you're like, get down.
I could hear it in your brain and you might
have done it in the Venom Jerry Jones voice, get out.
But it's watching his body control and how he fights
through And we talked about it before creating space, finding space.

In this particular case for the touchdown, Sanders throw wasn't
great right kind of behind the defender and he's got
to reach back through him. But I mean strong hands,
good body control all the way through to control it
through to the ground and gets the touchdowns. So about
everything you need. There's a full highlight package for well

tonight and early Sunday morning just for Travis Hunter alone.

It's it's an insane night that he is having so far.

those upsets and everything. But this week we've got the

this is gonna be late. Here's all the national coverage
and then whatever conference you follow. Certainly your inboxes have
been inundated with press releases and little sizzle reels. So yeah,
it's the anticipation to a next level. It's almost decoy,

a bobblehead, like the level of excitement and anticipation across
this great land.

I believe he has played every snap tonight on offense
and defense. I don't know that he's miss I know
he's played every snap up until like maybe twenty minutes ago.
I can't see him taking him out of the game,
but he has played. Think about this, because this is
the other part of Travis Hunter, is to play at
this high level and play every snap on offensive defense,

end still be this fresh and this good at the
end of a game, to come up with that kind
of catch for your third touchdown of the night. Seven
catches for one hundred and thirty two yards, three touchdowns
every snap. Like, I don't know what to say about him.
I mean, he keeps saying I'm built for it. I'm
built for it. I remember in high school guys would
go both ways and after like middle of second quarter,

I'm like, hey, coach, put me in, man, I could
go play a little bit. Look at this guy's dragging.
I'll go play. No, no, no, I want all my
good guys playing both ways. And they're like sucking wind
by the time you get to the second quarter, and
here's Travis Hunter, like, yeah, feeling good, man, feeling good.
He doesn't look like he's missing anything. He's not limping,
he's not cramping. He looks like he's he just started
the game. This is a special dude. Man, this is

such a special dude.

Yeah, it's pretty incredible to watch it. But you know,
the playing iron man football fear that as you start
getting towards conference play, I think you need to be
maybe a little more judicious about that. But hey, if
it ain't broke, don't fix it. And you need to
win this game so he ain't.

Now yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. It's always wait
when you have an idea of okay, I'm gonna get
some players around, Like I would always think that coaching
soccer softball, I would go into this game going, okay,
you know, hey, we should win this game. And my
plan is, okay, I can get such a player in
to pitch a couple of innings where I can get
a you know, a couple players into play midfield here
for for about a quarter or so, and then the

game goes and it's much tighter, and I go, well,
that's out the window.

Now you're same line up, same you've man it substitution.
Did you're recognizing Waite? It's not that tournament. I can't

I Hey, listen, hey, I know I said you were

or something like that, and I'm sorry, the game is

I had a great plan, but that's that's the same
thing with Travis Hunter. Yeah, we'll get him some time,
get him some time off. He'll get a blow. He'll

miss a defensive series here and there, maybe one offensive
series when we're gonna run the football. Cut nope, nope, play.

whatever Colorado does this year and their success is going
to be who knows, Right, you're in a you're in
a dog fight with North Dakota State, an FCS team,
in the first game of the year. Right, You're at home?
So who is the season really gonna be a great
one for Colorado? Doesn't matter because you have Shador Sanders

and Travis Hunter, who are probably and I don't even
think this is a big deal at this point. These
are two guys who are gonna go on the top
three of the draft. Like maybe a Carson Beck is
gonna is gonna get up there. Maybe somebody else flies in,
but these are two guys that are gonna go one
two or one three or some kind of order like
that and and that's insane when you think about that

top level of talent on one team in college football.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
And then we got to see, as we're talking the
bailout scramble, scramble scramble, just throw it up and hope
for pass interference and tada, there you have it downfield
to extend a drive on a third night, play runs
through the receiver, h doesn't look back for the ball,
first down, minute forty one remaining.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Yeah, Colorado was gonna wind up given the ball back
to North Dakota State because shadro Sanders had one of
those Russell Wilson drop backs where he dropped back five
seven yards, Nope, nothing there, turned one way, nope, nothing there,
turned back the other way, then turn all the back.
He was about twenty five yards behind the line of
scrimmage and he just threw it up to a receiver
who had broken open all the way downfield. And this
(11:23):
shows you the arm strength that he had because he
got crushed after this. There's no way you can put
your entire body into it. There's no way you can
put Hey, I'll get a big strong throw downfield for
sixty seventy yards. This is where I'm running back. I'm
going backwards and suddenly here's a throw and and I'm
just gonna put everything I have on it. And he
gets it all the way out there, and because the
(11:44):
dB doesn't turn around, it's a pretty easy interference call.
He runs it doesn't turn around for the ball. I
know it's a cause.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
If he turns around at all, you might have been
able to pick that off because it was overthrown.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
Yeah, it was, it was. It was. It wasn't a
great you know. I mean, look, he threw it as
far as he could, yep, But just getting it out
there that far was able to draw the penalty. And
if he turns around, he gets it, but he doesn't.
Pretty easy interference call. And so now you have Colorado
potentially being ready to close the game by kneeling on
the football. However, this is Deon Sanders at work. They
(12:17):
have the ball, first down and ten with a minute
thirty left to go. North Dakota State has one time
out left and chadur Sanders throws a bomb downfield for
an incomplete pass. Yeah, like, like what the all these
great I don't understand it is like we got we go,
Let's get all these great things are saying about Hunter
(12:37):
and chadur Sanders, and then it's what are you doing?
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Hey, what are you doing throwing?
Speaker 1 (12:45):
What are you doing throwing the football?

Just remember the one rule I will always love about
college football. It's just a fifteen yard penalty as opposed
to the spotfalls that we see, uh starting next Thursday.
But yeah, they did run the ball on second down,
so you got that for Yeah, they got enough matter.

But it doesn't matter. I mean you could have all
you're doing. You're kneeling on the ball, it's done now.
Instead of that, it's third and ten and there's a
minute twenty eight left to go. So now you have
a chance where potentially you're giving them the ball back
because you decided to throw the football. That I don't understand.
I don't I don't get that.

to because the ball bounces, you don't know times ticks off,
so they fair catch it at the ten. But now
they're out at the thirty twenty three seconds left, clock

stopping a couple of times. I gotta think North Dakota
State's gonna have a chance for a hail mary.

Uh so again twenty two seconds left. North Dakota State
looking for somewhat of a miracle. Uh they get another
first down, clock stopped with fifteen seconds left to go.
Looks like they're gonna spike it again. They are up
at midfield, so potentially you're gonna get at least a
hail mary play. They do spike it now with nine
seconds left. Boy, little bit of favorable clock.

Uh.

There, for Colorado took the officials an extra second or
so to spot the ball. They made North Dakota States
offensive line move back.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
Yeah, there's no reason that six seconds come off a
clock for a clocking play.

That's absurd. Yeah, and you also needed a fifteen yard
penalty on a helmet to helmet hit on the catch
because that was a I mean, I don't know how
you miss that. I do not know how you missed.
And the receiver got up saying, hey, I just got drilled.
That should have been another fifteen yards because that was
leading with the helmet. That's the textbook of helmet to
(18:39):
helmet hits, how they call it in the NFL. I
mean it's I mean, I really I don't understand. I mean,
the officials this last few seconds here really helping them
out because it should be there should be a few
more seconds left on the clock and they should be
fifteen yards closer. I mean, that's unforgivable to miss that.
I know the game is going fast, I know we're
near the end, but penalties like I don't know how

you missed that, that's.

Absurd, Like in fact that we don't have any kind
of communication devices to say, hey, you know what you
missed one.

I mean that you're looking everybody's looking at the play.

Uh so again, here we are, final play of the
game coming up for North Dakota State. It's gonna have
to be a hail mary. And I wonder if Travis
Hunter's gonna pick this off. Be the wait for the
game to end him to pick it off? What seems right,
we'll see.

North Dakota State catches the hail mary and is tackled
at the five yard line. Oh my goodness. North Dakota
State got the hail mary at the five. However, the
receiver jumping up for it fell down tackled well short

Twenty, succeed and proceed. We had a lot of missed
calls over the course of the game, but that one's
gonna stand out for sure.

ball and uh, but just the way it shook out,
it was in a crowd of people.

I want to throw something out there because they're gonna
wait to hear from Dion Sanders after the game and
the biggest questions going to be when all they needed
to do was kneel on the football in the final
minute of the game, they decided to throw a pass.
All right, now, it was third and ten deep in
their own territory. Chadora Sanders drops back a Russell Wilson
(22:47):
drop back and he chucks it all the way downfield
looking for a pass interference call, and they get one
because it was pass interference. Sounds a minute twenty six
left in the game and North Dakota State has one
time out left. Okay, the game's over. You're kneeling on
the football, right, you're doing it, or if you're really
worried about clock, manager, whatever, you can run the football whatever,
whatever you want to do. That's fine. But instead, on
(23:10):
the first down play, Shadur Sanders tries to throw a
bomb for a touchdown. It falls incomplete. As a result,
North Dakota State gets the ball back with about thirty
seconds left to go, and the game ends on the
final play with a hail Mary that is caught at
the five yard line. That's how close North Dakota State
came to winning this game. And I know I can't

wait to hear what Deion Sanders answer is going to be,
because I'm gonna throw this out there, and really, I
really wonder how much this plays into it, right, because
it is Dion, it is his kid, it is you know,

try to get Shador Sanders another touchdown because that would
have put him over five hundred yards passing with five touchdowns.
As it is, he had an incredible night, right, four

forty five and four touchdowns. Shaduf Sanders was fantastic tonight.
But you know, there's only one reason why you make
that play call, because that gets from that gets from
from everybody through whoever who decides on that that gets
all the way to the game. I didn't see anybody
really mad. I didn't see Dion yelling saying hey, shaudor
take a knee, what are you doing? Or Shoudur looking

to stat pad because he got hit really hard in
the final play they'll play before when he got through
that ball downfield for the past interference. But man, it
would not surprise me if that's what it was. Hey,
we thought we pretty much thought we had the game
went anyway. Tried to get you door another touchdown, which
which is baffling. It's a baffling strategy that he's a
head coach in the NFL and that could be something

they do. But I'm telling you, man, I would not
doubt it because I don't know how how that play
call gets all the way there unless the kids change
it in the huddle because they're mad about something and
emotions getting getting to them. And I don't care, Man,
I want to throw another touchdown. Let's run this play.
That's the only way that happens. Where I say, okay,
I can understand that, but it didn't seem like. It
didn't seem like that.

I thought he could get a big play to Wester

can grab josh Palmer, this is someone who has flashed

two years ago, had a really good year last year.
He got stuck behind a couple of big receivers. And
the fact that they had to force feed Quentin Johnston
on everybody because well, he took him out early. Got
to see these any good now. Quentin Johnson is barely
a backup. Palmer's caught pass from Justin Herbert the last
couple of years. Somebody else is gonna have to be
a wide receiver that's gonna give you ten plus Fantasy points.

And Palmer's that guy. He's someone to take late, a
sleeper that you're gonna wind up playing, and you're gonna
wind up playing him depending on your league. You'll play
him as a flex, you'll play him as a wide receiver.
Two some weeks when you're down in buys'll plame as
a wide receiver. Three Absolutely, I like Joshua Palmer.

After this year in the NBA, all of a sudden,
it's gonna be the Steph Curry Sweepstakes. Wow, because things
are not going to get better in Golden State. He
signed to right, so now you got three more and
anybody that could trade for him, now you know what
you're paying for him. Right, But this will be a
situation where Steph is going to watch this year where
Golden State has a down year again, because look, it's

it's over right, Clay is gone, It's another year for Draymond. Uh,
you're not You've not been able to refill the cupboard
with young talent. Right the last three years, you're on
a big down turn.

You're he's a beast. Sure, sure he is, let's go.

No, he is good, but the West is so loaded
you're lucky. If you get into the you get into
the playing round. Another year of that and Steph is
going to understand it's not happening here and for someone
where you can tell that competitive desire the way he
took over the final two minutes of the gold medal
game in the Olympics against France. Yeah, he wanted a
gold medal because he never had one, but he still

has that I want to play in big games. How
many years does he have to go not playing in
big games before he says, you know, I don't want
to go, but I really want to win again. And
it's gonna be handled really carefully. This is not suddenly
where Steph's gonna put out a statement on social media
saying I want out. It's gonna be something along the
lines of sources Steph to talk with Warriors about future.

How do you see the future going. If Steph doesn't
like where it's going, if he doesn't think they can
bring in players to win, he might be open to
being traded, and then a few weeks later it's gonna
be Steph is more open to being traded after a
conversation with Steve Kerr. It's gonna be handled with kid
gloves because Steph doesn't want to leave and look like
he's leaving Golden State in the lurch. At the same time,
Golden State's gonna want to get players back for him
(38:46):
so they can hopefully compete again. So in a year,
in the next offseason, Steph Curry's gonna say, yeah, let's
put this in motion because I'm not gonna sit here
and just get beat the last seven eight years of
my career and all of a sudden, I'm play Steph. Right,
I went from gold medal Steph and now I'm playing Steph.
It's you don't want to play Stephan the play in
because he could send you home. I'm not gonna be
(39:08):
playing Steph. I want to be playoff. I want to
be NBA Final Steph. So you think he's a warrior
for life, Yeah, check back with me again in the
offseason after a down yere for Golden State and see
if that's still the case. But it's like with all
of these things, right, we had the fun little story,
the rumor conjecture speculation of hey, the Lakers would like

we're gonna double a guy that's that that's closing on
two hundred yards on us today. But he makes a

play and it's not even a push off, which has
been his big move tonight.

Well, he got chucked pretty good, right, It was in
the five yards, so we actually recovered pretty well from
uh and then some it is from from a pretty
good push.

It is the pylon. It is right at the pylon.
And this is about concentration and body control and talent.
And he's falling down out of bounds but reaches back
with both hands to grab it when the defense's arm
is kind of in the way, Like listen, the defender
is going to make the play by by deflecting the

You can have argued that the flag should have been thrown, right,
I mean he's into his body before the ball gets there.

Oh yeah yeah, but reaching back and but scouts don't care. Hey,

back and making that catch with both hands, staying in
bounds and falling out of bounds. Dude, don't play anymore.
You do not need to play. You are the number
one pick in the draft. I do not need to
see anything else after Travis Hunter, after this game punctuated

by that touchdown, I need to see nothing. Whatever else
you got, man, all you can do is get hurt
or something else happens, and looking Colorado could go four
and eight. Don't need any more, dude, you are the

I could hear it in your brain and you might

great right kind of behind the defender and he's got
to reach back through him. But I mean strong hands,
good body control all the way through to control it
through to the ground and gets the touchdowns. So about

a bobblehead, like the level of excitement and anticipation across
this great land.

I believe he has played every snap tonight on offense
and defense. I don't know that he's miss I know
he's played every snap up until like maybe twenty minutes ago.
I can't see him taking him out of the game,
but he has played. Think about this, because this is
the other part of Travis Hunter, is to play at
this high level and play every snap on offensive defense,

end still be this fresh and this good at the
end of a game, to come up with that kind
of catch for your third touchdown of the night. Seven
catches for one hundred and thirty two yards, three touchdowns
every snap. Like, I don't know what to say about him.
I mean, he keeps saying I'm built for it. I'm
built for it. I remember in high school guys would
go both ways and after like middle of second quarter,

I'm like, hey, coach, put me in, man, I could
go play a little bit. Look at this guy's dragging.

for pass interference and tada, there you have it downfield
to extend a drive on a third night, play runs
through the receiver, h doesn't look back for the ball,
first down, minute forty one remaining.

Yeah, Colorado was gonna wind up given the ball back
to North Dakota State because shadro Sanders had one of
those Russell Wilson drop backs where he dropped back five
seven yards, Nope, nothing there, turned one way, nope, nothing there,
turned back the other way, then turn all the back.
He was about twenty five yards behind the line of
scrimmage and he just threw it up to a receiver
who had broken open all the way downfield. And this

shows you the arm strength that he had because he
got crushed after this. There's no way you can put
your entire body into it. There's no way you can
put Hey, I'll get a big strong throw downfield for
sixty seventy yards. This is where I'm running back. I'm
going backwards and suddenly here's a throw and and I'm
just gonna put everything I have on it. And he
gets it all the way out there, and because the

dB doesn't turn around, it's a pretty easy interference call.
He runs it doesn't turn around for the ball. I
know it's a cause.

If he turns around at all, you might have been
able to pick that off because it was overthrown.

great you know. I mean, look, he threw it as
far as he could, yep, But just getting it out

if he turns around, he gets it, but he doesn't.
Pretty easy interference call. And so now you have Colorado
potentially being ready to close the game by kneeling on
the football. However, this is Deon Sanders at work. They

thirty left to go. North Dakota State has one time
out left and chadur Sanders throws a bomb downfield for
an incomplete pass. Yeah, like, like what the all these
great I don't understand it is like we got we go,

seconds left. Boy, little bit of favorable clock.

There, for Colorado took the officials an extra second or
so to spot the ball. They made North Dakota States

penalty on a helmet to helmet hit on the catch
because that was a I mean, I don't know how
you miss that. I do not know how you missed.
And the receiver got up saying, hey, I just got drilled.
That should have been another fifteen yards because that was
leading with the helmet. That's the textbook of helmet to

helmet hits, how they call it in the NFL. I
mean it's I mean, I really I don't understand. I mean,
the officials this last few seconds here really helping them
out because it should be there should be a few
more seconds left on the clock and they should be
fifteen yards closer. I mean, that's unforgivable to miss that.
I know the game is going fast, I know we're
near the end, but penalties like I don't know how

All right, now, it was third and ten deep in
their own territory. Chadora Sanders drops back a Russell Wilson

drop back and he chucks it all the way downfield
looking for a pass interference call, and they get one
because it was pass interference. Sounds a minute twenty six
left in the game and North Dakota State has one
time out left. Okay, the game's over. You're kneeling on
the football, right, you're doing it, or if you're really
worried about clock, manager, whatever, you can run the football whatever,
whatever you want to do. That's fine. But instead, on
(23:10):
the first down play, Shadur Sanders tries to throw a
bomb for a touchdown. It falls incomplete. As a result,
North Dakota State gets the ball back with about thirty
seconds left to go, and the game ends on the
final play with a hail Mary that is caught at
the five yard line. That's how close North Dakota State
came to winning this game. And I know I can't
(23:34):
wait to hear what Deion Sanders answer is going to be,
because I'm gonna throw this out there, and really, I
really wonder how much this plays into it, right, because
it is Dion, it is his kid, it is you know,
Shador Sanders. I love Travis Hunter is like he's my
other son. But boy, Heisman Trophy Shador Sanders. Was he
(23:55):
trying to get him another touchdown just to make his
numbers look even better? Like that would not I mean
that if you heard that was the answer with that
not surprised, of course it wouldn't. Oh yeah, Dan's gonna
try to get Shador Sanders another touchdown because that would
have put him over five hundred yards passing with five touchdowns.
As it is, he had an incredible night, right, four
(24:15):
forty five and four touchdowns. Shaduf Sanders was fantastic tonight.
But you know, there's only one reason why you make
that play call, because that gets from that gets from
from everybody through whoever who decides on that that gets
all the way to the game. I didn't see anybody
really mad. I didn't see Dion yelling saying hey, shaudor
take a knee, what are you doing? Or Shoudur looking
(24:35):
to stat pad because he got hit really hard in
the final play they'll play before when he got through
that ball downfield for the past interference. But man, it
would not surprise me if that's what it was. Hey,
we thought we pretty much thought we had the game
went anyway. Tried to get you door another touchdown, which
which is baffling. It's a baffling strategy that he's a
head coach in the NFL and that could be something
(24:56):
they do. But I'm telling you, man, I would not
doubt it because I don't know how how that play
call gets all the way there unless the kids change
it in the huddle because they're mad about something and
emotions getting getting to them. And I don't care, Man,
I want to throw another touchdown. Let's run this play.
That's the only way that happens. Where I say, okay,
I can understand that, but it didn't seem like. It
didn't seem like that.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
I thought he could get a big play to Wester
five for fifty eight. The transfer came in after a
huge year last year, and try thought, maybe you can
just get go right back to the well right that
that guy's gonna have to run again. Maybe he's a
little bit lost in coverage and you get him turned around.
Either you get another pass interference or you hit the
big play and put the punctuation mark on this game. Instead,

you left things up for doubt and chaos. You only
had one more time out for North Dakota State, so
that factors in slightly. But look, need nothing to chance, right,
you got to play it through the zeros, especially with
the big play capability that we saw from North Dakota
State on the other side, I mean yards galore on
both sides. Uh, and really had to hold your breath.

And if they actually called that helmet to helmet down
the stretch, Uh, that hail Mary goes into the end zone,
go figure.

I mean, look, look, the officiating is a different thing,
and yeah, there there is such a thing as Hey,
maybe officials are in a little bit of a first
game of the season mode here, they're getting used to things. Uh,
but that you know that, Look, that's the other play
on the same drive, right if if I'm really I mean,
I don't know what to say. If Dion says, hey,
we had a we had a play, thought we were
gonna get a touchdown, Like, what what are you gonna say?

He hits that to play on DraftKings, a guy I

like taking late. I know that all the attention has
been on Lad McConkie with the Chargers, and he's going
very early in drafts. Could wind up being the number
one receiver with the Chargers and getting a lot of balls,
like he catches everything in practice. Lad McConkie looks legit,
but I'm telling you late in the draft, if you
can grab josh Palmer, this is someone who has flashed
(33:33):
two years ago, had a really good year last year.
He got stuck behind a couple of big receivers. And
the fact that they had to force feed Quentin Johnston
on everybody because well, he took him out early. Got
to see these any good now. Quentin Johnson is barely
a backup. Palmer's caught pass from Justin Herbert the last
couple of years. Somebody else is gonna have to be
a wide receiver that's gonna give you ten plus Fantasy points.
(33:53):
And Palmer's that guy. He's someone to take late, a
sleeper that you're gonna wind up playing, and you're gonna
wind up playing him depending on your league. You'll play
him as a flex, you'll play him as a wide receiver.
Two some weeks when you're down in buys'll plame as
a wide receiver. Three Absolutely, I like Joshua Palmer.

Guy I'll be talking about on the iWatch Flex podcast
and It's a little bit of home cooking because I
don't do this often, especially in a Bears passing game.

we're getting there. By twenty thirty NFL and NBA player
making one hundred million dollars a year, is it's gonna happen. Wemby.
It could be Wemby. It could be Wemby unless he
gets paid earlier. That's the whole thing is, like boy
(36:13):
Wenby might get paid a little too early for that.
He might get paid a couple of years early. But
all of this Warrior for life talk. Now that he's
tied with the Warriors for the next tied to the
Warriors for the next three years, he has said he
wants to be a Warrior for the rest of his
career and that's something very important to him. However, he
has also said he wants to make sure they're competing.
(36:37):
Now didn't say if we're not competing, I want out,
said I don't expect that to happen, but I really
want to be playing where you can compete. So what
he did in talking about this his future was saying, Hey,
I don't know. I want to be a warrior for life,
but but I want to make sure we're competing. But
I think it's gonna happen here. Okay, that's gonna change,
and I'll give you this Bowl prediction in the off season.
(37:00):
After this year in the NBA, all of a sudden,
it's gonna be the Steph Curry Sweepstakes. Wow, because things
are not going to get better in Golden State. He
signed to right, so now you got three more and
anybody that could trade for him, now you know what
you're paying for him. Right, But this will be a
situation where Steph is going to watch this year where
Golden State has a down year again, because look, it's
(37:23):
it's over right, Clay is gone, It's another year for Draymond. Uh,
you're not You've not been able to refill the cupboard
with young talent. Right the last three years, you're on
a big down turn.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
You're he's a beast. Sure, sure he is, let's go.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
No, he is good, but the West is so loaded
you're lucky. If you get into the you get into
the playing round. Another year of that and Steph is
going to understand it's not happening here and for someone
where you can tell that competitive desire the way he
took over the final two minutes of the gold medal
game in the Olympics against France. Yeah, he wanted a
gold medal because he never had one, but he still
(38:01):
has that I want to play in big games. How
many years does he have to go not playing in
big games before he says, you know, I don't want
to go, but I really want to win again. And
it's gonna be handled really carefully. This is not suddenly
where Steph's gonna put out a statement on social media
saying I want out. It's gonna be something along the
lines of sources Steph to talk with Warriors about future.
(38:25):
How do you see the future going. If Steph doesn't
like where it's going, if he doesn't think they can
bring in players to win, he might be open to
being traded, and then a few weeks later it's gonna
be Steph is more open to being traded after a
conversation with Steve Kerr. It's gonna be handled with kid
gloves because Steph doesn't want to leave and look like
he's leaving Golden State in the lurch. At the same time,
Golden State's gonna want to get players back for him
(38:46):
so they can hopefully compete again. So in a year,
in the next offseason, Steph Curry's gonna say, yeah, let's
put this in motion because I'm not gonna sit here
and just get beat the last seven eight years of
my career and all of a sudden, I'm play Steph. Right,
I went from gold medal Steph and now I'm playing Steph.
It's you don't want to play Stephan the play in
because he could send you home. I'm not gonna be
(39:08):
playing Steph. I want to be playoff. I want to
be NBA Final Steph. So you think he's a warrior
for life, Yeah, check back with me again in the
offseason after a down yere for Golden State and see
if that's still the case. But it's like with all
of these things, right, we had the fun little story,
the rumor conjecture speculation of hey, the Lakers would like
luka donciz.
Speaker 3 (39:28):
It's like, oh, you just signed an extension. I'm like,
that doesn't matter, Like none of that matters. He could
be happy today and three weeks from now be pissed off. Likewise,
Steph Curry get up in his fields quite a bit
during the Olympics and recognizing what it's like to not
only get the nation behind you, a globe whatever, but
to get that love and feel of winning again. So
(39:51):
sure that's.

Gonna be latent there.
Speaker 3 (39:53):
I mean, the way the contracts sync up now assuming
and I would assume he does. Draymond's about a twenty
eight million dollar option that is that year as well,
so the two of them would sync up and be
done at the same time, which would allow Golden State
to do the hard reset altogether if both were to
leave at the end of that juncture, but certainly before then. Yeah,
(40:15):
I mean, anything's in play, right, It's all just a
matter of finessing some money and opting out of some
of these other contracts, especially where you kept the team options,
and that's where always gets into the chaos for me.
Jason say, like Lonzo Ball in Chicago, it was a
player option hasn't played in two years. He was able

to say, I'm taking twenty one million. Let's go.

Am I gonna be ready? I don't know, So keep
an eye on.
