Never call it.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
The number of people that have said to you, never
call me again, here's a few of those. That's not
not as long as the list of people say that
to you. Oh no, no, but you have a list
as well. It's just not as long as mine. Well,
it's because I call on your guys' behalf yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, no.

Speaker 2 (00:58):

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Tell me out pretty. I look for my age.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
You have to stop asking people to tell you how pretty?
Why because you sound so needy? Why not say something else?

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Say send me money? Hey, tell me how pretty?

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Dude?

Speaker 1 (01:34):
You sound so needy? Man, You're like, oh my dude.
Come on, You're like Sally Field.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Do you like me? Dude? You need sound neat.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Sally Field's one of our most time Say something else.
Don't say send me money, because I don't think that's
quite super legal, but.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
You could say it. I waited for you to say
something else. And then.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
We have that special event coming up in about but
a story that came out a few minutes ago. Moncie
Bolanos brought it to us and what's trending. It looks
like Lebron James's debut this NBA season not quite going
to be When we thought, oh, you know, on the
first day of training camp, Lebron couldn't be there dealing

(02:17):
with a glute issue. He was then seen dancing and
hoisting up shots on a live stream instead.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Well, you know, he was trying to help the people.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Now we get worried that Lebron is going to be
reevaluated on Halloween and his debut with the Lakers might
not be until sometime getting towards the first second week
of November, right, because he's got to have ramp up
time to be able to come back and come back
in Right. This is where I go back and I
say we're ahead of the curve because we talked about
this the day the Lakers open training camp, right, and

(02:47):
they're playing the Mavericks tonight and Luka Doncic just sitting
out after playing his first game last night. But what
did we say? This situation with Lebron and the Lakers
is so awkward, right, they want him gone. He would
like to be gone, but there's fifty one million reasons
why he's come back, and you don't know what kind
of trade partners there are out there for him at
this moment. So it's an awkward marriage. But what do

(03:09):
we say the first day of training camp? Hmm, Lebron
can't play dealing with the glute issue. But here he
is on a live stream making sure people know, Hey,
I'm dealing with a glute issue.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
And the optic of you being on a live.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Stream and shooting baskets and dancing and torking or whatever
you do. You know what that means. Lebron knows everything
he is doing when he does something like this, Hey,
I'm dinged up. I can't be there, but I can
do this right. It's so awkward with him and the
Lakers and what I said opening night a training camp,
Lebron will be around the Lakers, around the team, the

(03:41):
bare minimum that he has to be this season. I
think he's still trying to get it right in his head.
Where can I really show up and play right? Because
it's so big, you know, both sides want to move on,
but they couldn't figure out a solution. Lebron had to
opt in because you didn't want Lebron to get to
a point where he's a free agent. Nobody wants him.
Got got to get all the money. But I told

(04:02):
you a week and a half ago. Lebron's gonna be
around the Lakers only as long as he absolutely has
to be, because he doesn't want to be here, and
here already he's pushed his debut. I'm just gonna show
up in the like he's just gonna show up and
come to the games like that's it.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Like I'm not proud.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
I'm just gonna come to show right, Like I'm just
coming to the games and playing and that's it, right,
Like that's all. That's all we're doing. Like it's like
it's beer league softball. We don't practice during the week.
We play Wednesday Night's okay, great, I'll see Wednesday for
the game. Like he wants to be around the Lakers
at the absolute bare minimum. And again, I don't know
that he finishes the season with the Lakers, depending on

(04:37):
I don't know. I still can't believe he's actually gonna
take the take the court in a Laker uniform because
things are so awkward. But you can tell already this
is how awkward things are. I'm pushing my debut now
to the middle of November. Maybe it's later, maybe it's not.
You can tell this is not I want to be
all in for the Lakers. This is I only want.
I can't stand being around here anymore because I've been
pushed to the side. I don't get pushed to the side.

(04:58):
The long rum around the team, the more I look
like I'm diminished again. He's gonna be around the Lakers
the bare minimum this season. It could have been a
hero if he just not opted in and gone and
signed somewhere else for whatever with the market would bear.
You're telling me there's not a number of owners out
there and coaches that look around and go all right,
this may not put us over the top, but it's

(05:19):
gonna put asses in seats. It's gonna get us interest,
and maybe we go from a middling to lower end
of a playoff bracket squad to where we're more competitive
and he buys in instead. Look, I'd be grudging. No man,
no a woman. Their money, Go get your cash, no
question about it. However, this isn't all about money. Everybody

(05:40):
gets to a point where they misplay their power, right,
I think I have the power and they overplay their
hand because I realize I don't have the power I
used to. And that was Lebron right after the season
it's still gonna be mine to No, we are moving
and towards Luca, and maybe the Lakers sprung it on him.
Maybe he did to see it coming, and he should

(06:01):
have seen it coming.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
But he's the.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Smartest guy online. Well, his court vision is unparallel. He
misplayed well, his vision's not on the cot. He opted
in for fifty plus million dollars. Now, was that going
to be available in free agency? No, we all know that. However,
you're in a place now where you made this unnecessarily problematic.
You could have gone and there are plenty of teams

(06:23):
that I'm sure would have been like, wait, what do
we need to do to bring him in?

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Fine? Gone right?

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Cut a couple of veteran guys, shut off a couple
of salaries that are exorbitant relative to what they can do,
because we stipulate that he's still what top fifteen, top
twenty player in the league, what he wants to play
basketball and that, and that's what this should have been about.
And the power struggle. What's he gonna say, Nanny and
any booboo, I got your fifty million dollars. I mean,

(06:50):
that's that's really where we're at with this. I got paid. Well,
now you've created a problem and you don't come out
looking good in this. And I hope he's fine, Like
I hope physically this is not a long standing issue.
I've seen some theories because he became addicted to golf
that perhaps it's it's based on torque and having to
to work on a on a golf course that way,

(07:12):
that it's affected you know, his gait, his musculature, et cetera.
And and it's kind of a fascinating thing, right, And
guys pick up golf and look, if you don't do
it for a couple of months and then you go
back out on the course, you're gonna be sore as hell. Right,
It's like picking up a basketball if you haven't run
full court for a while. Guess what the next day?
And not so great. But all of that to say,

(07:33):
he made an unneces and his team made it unnecessarily
awkward and contentious. And it doesn't mean that it wasn't
behind the scenes. But in the end you end up
looking bad.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
If you drag this.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Out bare minimum for Lebronje, trust me, watch it unfold
with us again, we're ahead of the curve.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
But also if it's a legit injury, who the hell's
trading for him?

Speaker 4 (07:54):
Now?

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Right? Right?

Speaker 1 (07:57):
If this is if this is legitimately Okay, you're forty
and you're gonna miss a month bless of this season.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Yes, let me give you a bunch.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
Of brosman right there, stuff bear Minimum, your guy JJ
Reddicks is gonna be so red faced it's not even funny.
Now speaking of the NBA, Yeah, something special for Mike
Harmon's birthday.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Alex ty Shirt hit it and now it's the Magic
Johnson twitter. Go let's go our first edition this pre season. Oh,
it's been a minute playing.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
As myself Mike Harmon, Yeah, Ty Shirt, Frostburg, Monci Bolanos.
It's great as a game in radio history. It's a
simple thing. I give you a tweet. You tell me
if it's a Magic Johnson tweet or not? Okay, as
magic the most obvious of than a tweeter in the world.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
So is there a date?

Speaker 4 (08:51):
You?

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Are you putting a date on it?

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Or no?

Speaker 2 (08:53):
What do you mean? Like? These are no?

Speaker 1 (08:57):
These are all from the last all time, These are
all these are all the last twenty four hours. Oh okay, yeah,
these are all for the last twenty hours. I'm not
just tolling stuff from you on it. I'm congrats to
Spike Lee for getting Reggie Miller to make no. The
Commander's twenty five twenty four loss of the Bears last

(09:17):
night was heartbreaking? That is Is that a magic Johnson tweet?

Speaker 2 (09:24):
Yes, it is.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
Commander's twenty five twenty four loss to the Bears last
night was heartbreaking? Monsey, what do you say?

Speaker 2 (09:30):
You know, he's a simple man. I like it. That
was him.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
Okay, very good, Frostburg. I'm gonna say yes, but there's
no way he knew the score. No, he did have
the score in. Yes, that's a good point. That's a
good point, ty shirt.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
What do you got hi, Jason? Hi, happy birthday on
Thanks buddy. I'm gonna say no because Matthew Johnson does
not have a heart.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
Wow, wow, Wow, that's turned.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
You say it like he took your parking spot once,
So he's he's a million in one of these horror
movies were watching leading up to Halloween?

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Then did he kick you out of one of his feeders?
But happening?

Speaker 1 (10:05):
The Commander's twenty five twenty four loss the Bears last
night was heartbreaking.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
That is a magic Johnson tweet? Very nice, very nice.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
I don't know who was better, Blake Snell or Yoshanova Yamamoto,
but they were both excellent.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Is that a magic Johnson tweet? Is it just a tweet?
Or was that a poll question? I don't know, just
a tweet. I don't know who was better.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Blake Snell or Yoshanoba Yamamoto, but they were both excellent.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Be is that a magic Johnson tweet?

Speaker 4 (10:47):
No?

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Because it potentially casts one of them in a negative light.
So no, How is that he said they were both excellent?

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Yeah, but now he's asking you to compare. You're getting
into the weeds on this. Okay, all right, all right,
mons in deep thoughts man?

Speaker 6 (11:01):
You know again, simple man, I'm gonna say it.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
Is, okay, yeah, right where you knock it out my
door man. By the way, let me give you a hint,
because I know you play the game a lot. The
tweets are all very simple, like there's nothing, there's no okay.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
Just like he's in deep thought.

Speaker 6 (11:17):
I'm in deep thought, okay, And maybe I won't view
a tweet as simple that one.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
I view this really obvious.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Okay, Okay, all right, all right, Frostburg, is that a
Magic Johnson tweet?

Speaker 2 (11:33):
I'm gonna go with no, because we all know Blake
Snell was a little better. Okay, all right, even Magic
knows they're his Dodgers.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Okay, sure, okay, okay, all right, ty shirt.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Wait, hold on, he owns the Dodgers. He's part of
the owner. Part of the ownership. How's that word? Okay?
You you you show us up? You give money? Gets mad? Yeah,
you give money and they give you the team, and
he speaks on behalf of everybody shows up.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
That's how shakes some hands, kisses some babies. Like if
you have money, you come in and buy Fox Sports Radio.
You can walk up to Don Martin and say, hey,
I want to buy Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
If you have enough money, you could buy it. He
still works here.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Yeah, okay, okay, Uh what do you say about the Uh.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Say yes, because he likes baseball. Because he likes baseball.
That is na the Magic Johnson tweet.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
See because he's gasting as versions on one of them.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Collusion.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
The Dodgers are up two games to none. They are
two games away from the World Series. Oh no, yeah,
Magic Johnson tweet. Yeah, the Dodgers are up two games
to nothing. They are two games away from the World Series.
Got I hope it isn't a magic two games wins,
two games away from the World Series. He's saying, two games,

(12:57):
two games away. He's got a sweet. Yes, I hope
it so.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
I am an ask man.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
I don't know anybody that doesn't have a sweet at
this point for the Dodgers.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
Yeah, but the job is not finished. Okay, John's not finished.
You're saying no, okay, Monzi damn better be.

Speaker 6 (13:15):
I'm gonna say.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
No, no, oh no, He's enough enough, all right, Ty Shirt?
Is that a magic Johnson's tweet?

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Say it again?

Speaker 1 (13:28):
Dodgers are up two games to nothing, there are two
games away from the World Series.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Yeah, who's Magic Johnson? Who is Magic Johnson?

Speaker 1 (13:39):
Who is I'm gonna get you the little golden hook
that says who.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Is Magic Johnson?

Speaker 3 (13:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Yah, yea, yeah, yea yeah. Who is?

Speaker 1 (13:46):
Now?

Speaker 2 (13:46):
I got very historical Yeah, do.

Speaker 6 (13:48):
We start from the very beginning of whom it was
a humble He was a humble, simple man who in
nineteen seventy nine he beat Larry Bird in the Final four.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
That's where Magic Johnson's life begins, really, yeah, as.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
A software one will my life?

Speaker 1 (14:04):
No, okay, he sounds man. Now Harmon, is that a
Magic Johnson? Yeahs Actually that is no Magic Johnson tweets
who magic is made up?

Speaker 4 (14:21):
For?

Speaker 1 (14:21):

falco that's right, great dodger.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
Top that Ja Coole Paul Knerko called intuition happy birthday,
I mean eight years ago, but top that Jay.

Speaker 4 (16:41):
Cole was a bad white tux player, wasn't it?

Speaker 2 (16:46):
It was pretty very good, very good player. This guy.
He's got a statue there. I think outside of he does.
I think he does. I celebrate right.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
Next next to sir Harold bains Got. Yeah, we talk
about very good.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
Don't you try to do that to me? How come
wash your mouth out with soap? Hal Baines was a
very good player. You shut up.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
Except the same as Harold's not how.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
They call them.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
They called him hell hell don't.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
Don't look at him.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
Uh so, hey, okay, so give your birthday wish to Harmon,
then we could talk football.

Speaker 4 (17:20):
A happy birthday, Happy birthday too, Happy birthday to your
harm and happy birthday to you. It's almost like Marilyn
Monroe and JFK like that something like that.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
You could have just said happy birthday, do you didn't
have You could have just said it.

Speaker 4 (17:35):
You could have just said, hey, why let's have a
little enthusiasm here. Okay, oh yeah, just say happy birthday
and habit or over. But with can we move on?

Speaker 1 (17:43):
Because now picturing you in marily Monroe's dress, and that's
that's the thing.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Now, that's not creepy.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
If you're picturing me and Marilyn Monroe's dress dress, you
have a lot of disturbing thoughts that are running around
in that end, I'll just.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Say that he's staring on a great where the wind
comes up from Andrea.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
So you know, look, this is this is really weird, Jake.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
Obviously we're getting close to the trade deadline in the NFL,
all kinds of talk about how there's playing.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
When Jerry starts being more and more and more a week,
we got room to make a move to get some
defense or help. Hey, you traded him away, Hey.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Jason Cole, you know you have to stop the run.
Jerry Jones told it. Nobody knew they had to stop
the run till Jerry Jones told us that after the
Micah Partson's trade.

Speaker 4 (18:30):
Yeah, and then they can't now they can't stop the house.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
Well, you know he got beat by Rico Dowdell.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
Yeah, former Cowboy thousand yard revenge thousand yard rusher last year.
I mean the fact that that game has a name
now it's the Rico Dowdell Revenge Game. Like, I mean
that game's got a name to it.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
Five years ago, did anybody ever envisioned Rico Dwell having
ever of any game on the game, just anything of
any kind of meaning period.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
I don't know that people knew who Rico Downell was
five years I think he's a phenomenon.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
No one knew Rico Donell, no one, no one. Now
everybody in Cowboys Nation was like, oh, we like that guy.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
Stephen telling me the guy was on our team a
few years ago.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
Is that true? I don't know.

Speaker 4 (19:32):
We had that gout we had to go get in
Damanti and a funny Jamonte is actually having a really
good ye, Like, give him a lot of credit, but
he just got crushed by Dowdell and Bright Young. You
think he's going to be a good team. You have
the Audaptin go on radio and say, yeah, we've got
really deep Cora pass rushers where yeah we can make

(19:55):
some moves. But yeah, you three fans like they're complete idiots.
You just like it amazes me what he does to
his fans. I mean, he really could sell them on
cowboy beats if I gave him that idea and I
licensed it to him, Yeah, I can turn that into billions.

(20:19):
I'll give you ten million for the idea, and I'll
turn it into billions. I'll be like, yes, sir, please,
let's go. Let's do this. Let's do it right now,
Go and give me the ten mil. Yeah, he'll definitely
turn the Cowboy beats into billions of dollars, and I'd
be happy for him.

Speaker 1 (20:33):
Well, because we have a fun, icy hot Bowl tomorrow,
I'll ask you, are we destined for another?

Speaker 4 (20:39):
Hey?

Speaker 1 (20:39):
The Steelers win the division and then lose in the
first round of the playoffs kind of fate, they might win.

Speaker 4 (20:49):
It's a win the division because then they get who
do they get in the wild card? Right in Pittsburgh
in cold weather. That's that becomes a question. If you
get a warm weather team, like if they get New England,
they probably lose. But if they get the Chargers, do

(21:10):
they win? That's that's where it sort of becomes a
little bit interesting. Or you know, whoever comes out of this,
you know, the South going to produce a team that
they'll have to go up and play a cold weather
game that they're not used to. I mean that's where
you sit there and go, okay, this is where the

(21:31):
Steelers could win a game. But it is kind of
a fifty to fifty thing, like you don't really, really
truly believe in them.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
No, that's me because they stink, because they absolutely stink.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
Their division is going, but they don't do anything well.
Jason Colby, don't that's not true. They don't do anything well.
They don't run the ball well middle what you know,
we doybody, we.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
Do everything horribly where where there's fifty feet of crap
and then there's us, right.

Speaker 4 (21:58):
And see next you're not allowed to judge anymore because.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
I know bad football and I want you. I want
to stealers escape with the Jets.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
You escaped, You escaped over the Jets. Very bad that
you should be the Steelers.

Speaker 4 (22:15):
Justin field is a quarterback in the hall a very
bad and what's that going for you? Okay, just you
don't get to talk about this. No, I do think
by the by the end of the season. Just here's
the thing, nobody's playing all that well consistently, right, Like
if you look around the league. Philly was great for
the first four weeks, and they just kind of like
meandered to the last two weeks, not taking things very seriously,

(22:39):
in fact, two and a half weeks, because they meandered
through the second half against Tampa. So I just looked
at teams and you know, like the Chargers played really well,
then they lose to the Giants, they lose back to
back games, like what are they? You know, they almost
lose at Denver. I think the charge are really good
one week. I think Buffalo's really did for a while,

(23:01):
and then you know, the last two weeks happened. You know,
Detroit I think is going to be really good. Then
they go and they play a really mediocre effort against
King of the City, Like you're playing mediocre against the
team that you might face in a super Bowl if
you're lucky enough to get there. So everybody plays bad
right now because there's two issues. Coaches think that the

(23:24):
season is ridiculously long at seventeen games, like they think
it's inordinate way longer than it was at sixteen for
whatever reason, I don't know. But the thing that they
do also think about a lot is you just have
to give into the playoffs because they added the extra
playoff team, right, So now, I think trying to cruise
early in the season. Make sure everybody's healthy, you know,

(23:45):
don't be the forty nine ers, don't be them where
you lose to of your best defensive players. But get
through the season, get hot in the second half, and
then you're fine. I think the Steelers are sort of
like that. I'm cruising to the first half. So when
you say they're not a very good football team, I'm
not disagreeing with you. But who's really good right now?

(24:09):
I mean Tampa. So yeah, you know what, Baker makes
a couple of runs and everybody gets really excited, you know,
because he you know, he flexes and it's like Baker
flexes and everybody's like, oh MVT, Like okay, it's good.
Right now, it's not quite great, and I see flaws

(24:31):
in that team. So okay, Tampa. But they've lost the
Philly at home in a game in September that they
share won. So you know, I'm just not trusting any
single team out there until we start to get deep
into October and in November. Then let's talk about it
is really good because I think that so many teams
are just holding.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
Back so much from my big Daniel Jones, Jets are
holding back. Apparently the Jets are holding back. Apparently that's
what they're holding back.

Speaker 4 (25:00):
Then you know that the Jets are not qualified to
speaking anything remotely close to talking about football. Well, you
were not talked about nest or eggs. You're not thought
play off. You're not allowed to do that. You can't
put those words together. Okay, you can say a bunch
of you know, movement by people for yelling out signals,

(25:24):
or you can say switching the switch, turning the switch
from on. That's how you can't do anything else. You
can't talk about playoffs, just the end of you know,
you can describe the individual words.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
Okay, Well, let me ask a question.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
Well, circling around his coach for a moment, Callahan got
fired down in Tennessee.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
How soon is Aaron Glenn follow him out the door?

Speaker 4 (25:47):
Why are we doing this? Aaron Glenn already like, is
it really like we're gonna blame him for working?

Speaker 2 (25:54):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (25:55):
Whatdy Johnson?

Speaker 1 (25:56):
Okay, Yeah, that's the that's the thing of tell us
you have watch the Jets play without telling us you've
watched the Jets play, dude.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
I mean this job is too much for him. The
job is too much for.

Speaker 4 (26:08):
Him as much. I'm not disputing that, Okay, I just
don't agree with firing a guy after six games or
five games, or four games, wherever we are in the season.
I'm just like, that's not what I'm going to do
with Aaron Climb.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
Yet did too much over his head. He's completely and
over his head.

Speaker 4 (26:29):
Are you saying are you saying that he's Adam Gasee?

Speaker 2 (26:34):
I think Adam Adam Gaze at least won a couple
of games one. I mean, we're next.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
How about what are we putting him in the category
of Lou Holtz?

Speaker 1 (26:44):
Oh, that's going way back. People don't remember Lou Holtz coach?

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Did Richie Richie?

Speaker 4 (26:49):
Richie Richie? Also? What other stars? Wow?

Speaker 1 (26:54):
This is a Hall of Fame co Tite was not
just bad because he was the war He's the worst coach.
He talked the Jets out of drafting Jerry Rice and
drafting Altoon instead.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
He was the big buzz. So that's where richk Ted
gets an.

Speaker 4 (27:06):
Extra thing there.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Yeah, he was a scout.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
That's a big story in that. You know, code type
when he before, you know, you coach a team. He
was the main scout and the Jets were torn between
Altoon and Jerry Rice and and and he said, Hey,
I think you gotta go with Altuon because I don't
know that Jerry Rice would get separation at the next level.
And so they took Altoon. He was loved Alton Tune

(27:33):
was great yards, not Jerry r.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
He was a Jet.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
He's your Bill Melton. Let's just put it that Waylon.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
Bill Melton, Oh, one of my favorites. There you go.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
All right, So let's let's let's end here with the
speaking of tra not firing Aaron Glenn. Uh does Tua
finish the season as the Dolphins quarterback? Because boy, it
really feels like they need a divorce right now and
they got to get him out.

Speaker 4 (28:01):
Well, I mean, let's line up the whole thing. I mean,
just you know, Chris, it's imagine that we're playing three
card Monty, right, Okay, We've got McDaniel, Greer and Tua. Okay,
which goes first?

Speaker 1 (28:21):
Hang on doing the thing and doing the thing. I'm
showing you the Queen showing the Queen showing the Queen,
show me the Queen.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
I'm going to say, who goes first?

Speaker 4 (28:29):
They give jets, fans and New Yorkers and things that
you'll understand, you like with the Dolphin.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
Three card mont and we're not and Monte Kiffen is
not playing three card more money ball.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
Okay, well you don't know what Monty Kiffens didn't happen,
so we don't know what Monty Kiffin's we're doing right now?

Speaker 1 (28:45):
Okay, all right, Monty Hall, Monte Kiffen, Many Hall, sure.

Speaker 4 (28:51):
Know that Monty Monty Ball running back? There you go.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
The two A card keeps coming up, Jacole, The two
A card keeps coming up.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
I'm saying it's a it's it's one of those three
goes first, and I don't know which one it is,
but they got all because here's the thing. All three
are gone. This is three TRD Monty where it's one hundred.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
All three are a winner under every card. I mean, like,
there's no quid any of those three.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Wow, look at you going full jokers wild, very nice classic.

Speaker 4 (29:26):
That's that's one of the greatest game shows all times. Joking.
That's my youth right there. Triple yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Yeah, joker, joker Greek legends.

Speaker 7 (29:37):
Yeah, there they are cleaning the whole thing out, because
what choice do they have. I mean, mc here's the thing,
TUA says this stuff and then mcdonner comes up the
next day because well he really shouldn't have said that.
He should have been you know, he should have been
top you know, thinking about not.

Speaker 4 (29:58):
Doing It's like, well, you're, man, coach, why didn't you
talk to him? That's about how he's supposed to You know,
you're the one who is supposed to be grooming him.
You're supposed to be the one who tells him how
does he deal with the public. You're the one who's
supposed to be talking to him. And you know, when
things are frustrated, you know, I'm bad. How do you
handle it? That's your job, Mike. And and look, I

(30:21):
think Mike mcdale is going to be a really good
coach next time around, unlike apparently Aaron Glenn who already
after you know, like he's been the coach for five
minutes now. Again, it's not been a great five minutes.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
Come on, man, I'm not going to throw a Hail
Mary at midfield on the final play of the first time.

Speaker 4 (30:43):
I Look, I know it's that I really Okay, I'm not,
but I'm willing to give a guy more than four
or five games.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
So he gave us of the year though.

Speaker 4 (30:54):
Okay, yes, yes he did. And the running down the
sideline was pretty good.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
Was pretty good move forgetting There was and a half
left to go and Baker Mayfield had all his time outs.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
All the game's over. The game's over. I can dance.
We won the games over. Yeah, that's great. Okay, he's
on Twitter.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
So I'm on Twitter. But I'm telling you the Dolphins plaininghouse,
and you know, pick whichever one you want first and
three card Monty, but then you're down to two cards
and you can move those rounds and then you can
play one card Monty. And he still shuff Yeah, keep
moving the card round. People like, what do you do.

(31:31):
It's one card. There's only one card out there. Just
this one is going to be the one who goes next.
I promise, Yeah, we get that. That's how this is
gonna work. By Andre mcdangel to us, it's all over and.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
In the words of Nick mackay, there are no winners here.
It's true.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
Jason Cole sixty two on Twitter. It is the aforementioned
j Cole always great stuff. Let's find out what's trending
right now. For someone who always has great stuff, it's
Monty Belangos, you know who really.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
Had great stuff to the Blue Jays.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
Jays, that great stuff to the Blue Jayson did not
anybody pitching for the Mariners, none of.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
Them, not a single one of them.

Speaker 6 (32:08):
Yeah, they definitely struggled on the mound for sure for Seattle.
George Kirby, who was the Seattle starter. He pitched four innings,
gave up four hits and eight earned runs. They immediately,
you know, took Aim out and it didn't get any
better because the Blue Jays had eighteen hits, five home runs.
Vladimir Guerrero junior homer. He was a perfect four of
four at the play. He was just a triple short

(32:29):
of the cycle. But Blue Jays dominate the Mariners in
Game three of the ALCS.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
Thirteen to four. Their season is still a live.

Speaker 6 (32:37):
George Springer also hit his twenty second postseason home run.
He has now tied for fourth all time on the
postseason home run leaderboard. When it comes to the NBA,
ESPN reports that Lebron Jays as he's dealing with old
man sciatica. He's going to take a patient approach to
the Lakers season debut with the expectation that he will
return early November, but they may push it back if

(33:00):
they need to. That is what ESPN had not too
long ago. Kings forward keg And Murray agreed to a
five year, one hundred and forty million dollar rookie contract extension.
He was the fourth overall pick for Sacramento in twenty
twenty two. Sacramento also signed Russell Westbrook today to a
one year deal.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
Malcolm Brogdon former.

Speaker 6 (33:17):
Nick announced his retirement after nine seasons. When it comes
to the NFL Thursday Night Football Bengals and Steelers, but
Cincinnati is listening, pass rusher Trey Hendrickson as questionable because
of a hip injury. Chargers pass rusher Khalil Mack returned.

Speaker 4 (33:31):
To practice today.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
He's missed the last four games with the left elbow injury.

Speaker 6 (33:35):
Cowboys wide receiver CD Lamb return to practice also today.
He's missed the last three games with a high ankle sprain.
Broncos linebacker Dre Greenlaw, who has not played this season
because of a quad injury, also returned to practice today
on the ice. Two games still going on. Blackhawks over
the Blues right now, five to two. They just got
going in the third inning, third inning in the third
period and the Mammoth are on top of the Flames

(33:56):
two to one, also early in the third period.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
Be readday Harmon back ten days.

Speaker 4 (34:02):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
Monseiurna. Mons is already for the Dodger game tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
Third inning. Here's the star third inning. I'm ready.

Speaker 6 (34:10):
You know, sometimes it's hard, it means quarters.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
It's all right. You're lucky, You're lucky. I get most
of it accurate. You're lucky. Most of it is accurate. Jason.

Speaker 6 (34:23):
When you throw a ball at me, no good time.

Speaker 1 (34:28):

Jason and Mike.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
The Jason Smith Show with My best friend Mike Harmon
Wednesdays is always fun, not just because it's Harmon's birthday,
but we know we made another week and we have
NFL football on Thursday night. We get the Bengals and
the Steelers, Yes, the Icy Hot Bowl with Flacco and
Aaron Rodgers. I feel like I've been gifted this game personally,

(35:17):
as I flipped the gallander to another year, to where
maybe you know, you wake up and you gotta stretch
a little bit more, you feel a little ach yer,
all of those things. As long as there are old
guys still slinging the rock, I don't feel so bad.
All right, We'll see if you feel this way tomorrow night,
at this time, when the final score is ten to nine,
We'll see how you feel.

Speaker 2 (35:37):
Oh, come on, the old runners in me mid forties.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
Yeah, so are the quarterbacks, Ey.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
Not your first time.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
Look, I know how this game is gonna end, which
is what frustrates me because all I've taken this the
Steelers stink thing like of taking it personally. Now, Yeah,
you and ja Cole were about to fight since he
had him to the list Cincinnati covers. But Pittsburgh escape
plus five and a half right now, Yeah, and Pittsburgh's
five and one. Everybody thinks they're great, and meanwhile they stink.

Speaker 2 (36:06):
It's gonna be.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
Low scoring for a little while, but this game is
gonna pick up in the second half. It'll open up more.
I'll take the over on forty three and a half.
But look, there's a reason Mike Tomlin salty about this trade.
Oh now we gotta play Joe Flacco. We gonna play
him again. This is you know, Flacco is slowly finding
his footing there. Everything is gonna be great for the Bengals.

(36:28):
They need to finish hitting their rock bottom before they
start digging back up, but they're almost there. Flacco in
this offense is gonna be fine. It'll look good tomorrow night.
I see a big game from Jamar Chase and t Higgins.
But it's hard for me to see the Steelers losing
this game on a third. It's thought they I know,
I know, but that's what it is because it's gonna

(36:48):
be personal against me. They're gonna find it. They won't cover,
but they'll find a way to win by a field goal,
and everybody's gonna be loving the Steelers. Oh so good,
We're so good, And really the Steelers stink. I'm gonna
go with the upset here looking at an opportunity unity
for the the Bengals moving the football now. Obviously it
would help a lot if Hendrickson were available because you
know the rest of that defense.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
What's that word?

Speaker 1 (37:10):
Is the one thing wrong with the defense? What one
thing they stick? Yeah, they're not good. But with Joe Flacco,
you're gonna move the ball around. You saw t Higgins
get more involved. Still waiting for that Chase Brown Bait
breakout game that's not gonna happen here. But put the
ball up to Jamar Chase, let him go, uh do
great things. We haven't seen the Look. I don't want

(37:31):
to go down the path of the the full on
negativity of the Steelers because they're doing enough to win.
But there's nothing that makes me believe that suddenly Joe
Flacco is laying on his back all day long, that
that he will be able to stand upright and make
plays downfield. So yeah, the plus five and a half
certainly in play, but I'm gonna take them to win
it out right now. When it comes to fantasy, it's

(37:51):
always tougher to play guys on a Thursday night, questionable.
This is who I have that you have to play
tomorrow night. Agree or disagree. Okay, Pittsburgh, you gotta play
Warren and Metcalf, Okay, don't have to play anybody else.

Speaker 2 (38:04):
Flex out.

Speaker 1 (38:05):
I'd play game well because of his uh aptitude in
the passing game. But he's had one game. He's had
one game where he actually really and that was when
Jalen Warren missed the game.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
It was a good game though. But he had six
catches this last week. Yeah, he didn't. It didn't amount
too much.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
But if you're in a PPR league, that's six three
points out of a flex spot catch, six passes out
of the out of the back f It's tough for
me on a Thursday.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
To play. On a Sunday, it'll be different, but on
a Thursday.

Speaker 1 (38:32):
This was a little tougher, right because we only have
a couple of teams on bye. Next week, Yeah, next
week we had sixteen. I'd be happy to start kind
of game. Buffalo and Baltimore. Buffalo Baltimore this week at
Baltimore needs to buy they do, because you know what,
who's coming to town?

Speaker 2 (38:48):
The Bears?

Speaker 1 (38:48):
How's that Troy, How's that Cincinnati? Jamar Chase t Higgins.
I am not playing Chase Brown. He is he's not
been good.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
No, he's bad. I mean he's averaging two and a
half yards of.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
Carry's falling forward and again I'm falling forward with one hop.
I don't even know if it's falling with style. I
don't even know if I could play him on a Sunday.
But the Thursday night tests, Hey, are these guys good
at to play Thursday night?

Speaker 4 (39:12):
Like?

Speaker 2 (39:13):
Those are the only two guys I will play from
this from the from the Bengals this week are chasing Higgins.
That's really it.

Speaker 1 (39:19):
Yeah, And depending on your quarterback situation, you want to
get cute, you're in a dollar league for daily purposes,
I'll take the over of what was it like two
thirty or something for Flacco's yardage? Mm hmmm, I'll go
down that path. Yeah, I mean, look, I think seven
and a half. I think Flacco has a big game.
But I'm but not fansy. I'm not gonna start. I'm
not gonna if I picked him up. Not starting.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
No, it's just a question of what else you got
on your roster.

Speaker 1 (39:39):
We gotta go through the full slate to decide where
that line of demarcation is. But but certainly, uh, nothing
wrong with his arm, particularly if he did take the
advice of Hayward and use the icy.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
Hot Yeah, the icy hot ball there it is.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
But if he used it, that means he's ready to
go like that that shoulder.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
I'll be ready. Yeah, yeah, I'll use it for a while.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
Or he's gonna put the back the pack up like
sh act with the commercial when you go shooting baskets
and I just put it around like a like a
fanny pack around my waist.

Speaker 2 (40:05):
I mean, if they make one not use it, they
have to shock uses it.

Speaker 1 (40:08):
But I'm saying that and that it helps you, like here,
those that are, you know, less than flexible feeling good.
I was told I had the flexibility of a rock
when I was fifteen. Imagine what I am now, flexibility
of the rock. Well, I wish of a rock. The
rock is better than a rock. The rock was really
good in Smashing Machine. I will tell you that. Coming
up next, three big NFL stories from today to break down.
