Speaker 1 (00:30):
Hello, Welcome in Side hour two The Jason Smith Show
with Monsey Belanos in from Mike Harmon tonight Oklahoma City
leaves Denver thirty six thirty four to nine minutes ago
in the second period and Monsey, while you and I
are here hanging out and having fun. I talked to
Harmon before the show. He is at the White Sox
game tonight. He is taking his picture so far because

(00:52):
he sent him to me. He is taking his picture
with three separate fans dressed as the Pope. Nice like
it's Harry Potter night at the game tonight. But he said,
just as many people have come dressed in some version
of the Pope tonight.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
That's awesome.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
I mean, being a White Sox fan. I mean then,
I mean, yeah, I incredible. They have a papal jersey
that you can get like Vatican, Vatican City Connect. I
don't know. I would have that right away, the Vatican
City Connect. Yeah, let's go way.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
Better than the Bulls one they released.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Oh yeah, yeah, no, they should completely go to that,
as as the as the uniform for next year.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
How many white smoke shakes deep as Mike right now?

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Oh? He would? Well, okay, would he be upset if
I tell this on the air?

Speaker 2 (01:33):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Okay, no, what would do? So I'm talking to him.
I'm talking to him and I said, well, how are
you doing? He goes, he's at the game with his brothers.
He's having fun. And as soon as I called, somebody
hit a double, He's like, oh Smith, your good luck,
your good luck. I said, yeah, there you go. And
then you were talking. I hear this and then like
like off the phone and I hear this here. Well
I haven't finished this one yet, all right, yeah no,

(01:55):
put it right here. Yeah, I'll have it, okay, all right?

Speaker 5 (01:58):
Uh, you need a lot of alcohol to watch the
White Sox.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
You do, so I know they won?

Speaker 1 (02:05):
He had?

Speaker 6 (02:05):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, look a positive experience all around.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
In times I have talked to Harmon when he's out
a White Sox game. The White Sox are want to know,
So I'm a good luck right, but I know that
he was one beer behind his brothers at the at
that time, and they seemed upset that he hadn't finished
it when they bought him another one. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
Well you say that now, but then you know if
I get a phone call that Harmon's in jail and
needs you know, I don't know. Can you venmo people

(02:30):
out of jail?

Speaker 5 (02:31):
Like?

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Can that happen?

Speaker 6 (02:31):
Man?

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Can you what are.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
You looking at me for? I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
I don't know. I just I don't know.

Speaker 6 (02:36):
I just want to fly to Chicago. It's like what
three four hours?

Speaker 5 (02:39):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (02:39):
No, no, I would venmo because Zella is going away, right,
there's is.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Zel's going away.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
I don't know. I don't want to say I do.
Now the stock is going to take No, I thought
one of them was going away in one way. You
can't bonding, guys, I can, Oh, I can?

Speaker 4 (02:54):
No, you can't.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Wow, how do you know? Mary?

Speaker 4 (02:56):
Don't worry about that one? You can't treat cash?

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Okay, So I guess i'd be going to Western Union.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Then yeah, that's how I check or like your actual card.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
But you can't, yeah, end that, I can't Venmo, you can't.

Speaker 7 (03:11):
We can find someone to Venmo to go and handle
it where.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
At we're at Chicago, rate Field, PD. Just at me
on there invent Yeah, what is it? One hundred and fifty?
But yeah, fine, let him go.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Let him go. That's like corrupt.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Do I gotta do it for both his brothers too. Yeah,
here's four hundred and fifty bucks. Harmon will send it
back to me. I'm sure I'll get it back.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
And they always say the worst night to get arrested
is Friday night.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
Why because they just leave you there.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
I can't see the judge till Monday morning.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Yeah, yeah, you know that's been in so many TV shows.
And actually that happened to justin a couple of times,
like he knows that. Yeah. Yeah, he sued the Dodgers
for lost memories when when the Dodgers weren't on TV
here in La and he was missing Vince Scully's calls
and he got arrested on Friday after a game and
he couldn't see the judge until Monday. Wow, yeah, judge

(03:58):
with Franklin court, right, court, you're here because you own
the Dodgers. I do, yes, I do, I do right, yes,
I do yes, Okay, but that was you should have
done that lost memories thing justin That would have been.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
A great You could have definitely had the cause.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Yeah. Yeah, I'm suing for loss memories. Yeah you did,
especially with Vin saying I'm missing Vin's calls. I'm missing
I'm missing Vince Skull. I'm suing for lost memory.

Speaker 7 (04:22):
Isn't someone suing the NFL because your door Sanders dropped
fifth in the draft?

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Yeah? Oh yeah, Colorado Paper. Yeah, for like one hundred
million dollars.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Prosper You definitely had an argument.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
I did. I could have taken Spectrum down, you could.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
It would be the Frostburg Hey you got I'm watching
it on Frostburg TV. Oh yes, right there, yeah sure, yeah,
nobody would.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
Have crappy cable.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Yeah you given, you get though I took them down.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Who's going to have crappy cable?

Speaker 1 (04:53):
They would listen on five to seventy. Yeah, that's all.
Listen to five to seventy.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
Definitely listen on five cents.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
All right there, But yeah, I'll tell you lost I'm
suing for lost man, like I've I've heard worse reasons
to sue than lost memories.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
Like that sounds a real thing.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
That sounds yeah, lost memory was a real thing.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
I just didn't go I didn't proceed with the loss.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
No, he didn't go through with it. But how many
nights in a row lost memories?

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Man?

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Dodger's up seven to six in the eighth. I can't
see a row.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
It was two or three years.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Yeah, yeah, lost memories were getting good and lost memories
kind of sounds like a Hallmark movie bit, you know, yeah,
lost and lost memory.

Speaker 5 (05:26):
So to make it up to me, Monsy, grab me
one of those Vin Scully bibbleheads please, okay?

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Oh yea yeah, yeah yeah May nineteenth Vin Scotty and
it's young Vin Scully bobblehead back at the game. Yeah,
not like older Vince. It's young Vin Scully nineteenth nineteen.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
See what I can do?

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Yeah, grab a couple of those, like maybe like three
or four, and one of those gray Otani bobbleheads I'm
sure they have in the back.

Speaker 6 (05:45):
Yeah, let me just get in there in the back
of the trunk parking lot.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Try you try to buy like like black market o
Tani Bobbleheads and you meet on the corner and it's Monsey.
She just got a back trunk.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
It's every man.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
And then you take a selfie with her. Hey, it's Monzi.
Blavio's Fox Sports.

Speaker 7 (06:07):
No if I we need like a mustache or something
to high mess, we need a disguise.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Monsy's got the handkerchief. Did you just see her eyes?

Speaker 8 (06:13):
Like?

Speaker 3 (06:13):
I can't see me MONSI.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
So we'll have more NBA coming up in a bit
again early Oklahoma City and Denver. Uh. Now, the Bill
Belichick story today, like we're gonna get Bill Belichick drama
now from now until the beginning of the season, all
the drama with him and Jordan Hudson. And there's a
couple of different stories today. First, there were reports Pablo
Torri formerly a ESPN that North Carolina has banned Jordan

(06:41):
Hudson from being involved with the school in Bill Belichick Okay,
since she's been acting like his publicist and really embarrassing
him and she's embarrassing the school the last few weeks.
Because it's not a great look for North Carolina. What's
been going on. North Carolina put out a statement saying, hey,
we are not banning anybody. Danhudson is welcome to the school,
and everything is fine. Tory went on to talk about

(07:05):
how the reason he thought they weren't going to they
didn't want to get into where they met and when
they met is because potentially she was nineteen. The optic
was really really bad because he would have been almost seventy.
She would have been nineteen, not out of her teens.
So maybe that was why they would say, hey, we
didn't want that to be part of the storyline. Now,
all of this and every single day something goes on

(07:25):
and I see somebody with a with a different with
a different tay on. Belichick's being controlled and Jordan Hudson
is this, and Belichick's doing this, and he's being manipulated here,
and I really think that everybody is missing the point
on this. Everybody's missing the point. Look at Bill Belichick.
He's seventy three years old. He's dating an incredibly attractive
twenty four year old woman. Okay, yes, she's controlling. And

(07:51):
of course it happens in things like this when you
have someone who is older dating someone who is younger.
Generally that is the case. And I don't think this
is anything more than here's a seventy three year old
guy in the IDGF part of his life who wants
to keep dating the twenty four year old woman. And so, yeah,
I'm gonna allow certain things to go because i want

(08:15):
to keep dating her, because I'm seventy three and I'm
dating an incredibly attractive twenty four year old. Like we
see it in Hollywood all the time, albeit not really
to this extent, but you see it, And that's kind
of the way it goes, right, you, said Leonardo DiCaprio.
He gets older, his girlfriends keeps staying the same age, right,
Like he's fifty, his girlfriends are twenty two, he's fifty two.
His girlfriend's twenty two. He was forty six, his girlfriends

(08:37):
were twenty.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
Two, right, never pass twenty six like.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
This, no no, no, no, no no. It's like, yeah,
it's like minudo. They kick out. But like, this is
generally how it goes when someone older is dating someone younger.
I want to keep dating this person, and so the
control of the relationship really gets pushed to the younger person,
especially someone who is sure of herself and wants to

(09:02):
want certain things out right, she wants she likes her
profile being higher. You know, she talked away into a
commercial and all the different stories you've heard from her
over the course of the last few weeks. This is
just kind of how it goes as one of those relationships.
I think people are looking at things too crazy, like, oh,
he's being controlled, he's being manipulated. It's this, it's that. No,
he's seventy three, he doesn't care anymore. What do I care?

Speaker 4 (09:24):
What?

Speaker 1 (09:24):
I'm gonna wear a ripped T shirt to an interview,
A T shirt that's probably older than she is, that
I've had probably since nineteen seventy five, probably older than
I am, that tea, that Navy T shirt that he
was wearing. So yeah, it's really much simpler than people
make it out to me. It's yeah, when someone's seventy
three and someone's twenty four and they want to keep
that relationship going, this is kind of how it goes.

(09:44):
I don't see there's anything outside the realm where I'm
incredibly shocked by what's going on. I mean, really, to
see Belichick's personality and to see his image take a
hit is really something because I never thought I would
have seen this a year ago, But I never have
thought if he starts dating someone who's fit nearly fifty
years younger than him, Yeah, people think that they kind
of change right away.

Speaker 7 (10:04):
You're not wrong because people want to make this more
complicated than it is. But how many relationships do you
hear where are like, oh, she wears the pants in
the relationship.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
Right, We hear that a lot.

Speaker 7 (10:14):
But because we've seen Bill Belichick not have a personality
or emotion on the sideline for so many years and
then seeing kind of just this big turn is with
shocking people.

Speaker 6 (10:26):
And I agree, he just is like I have a
hot girlfriend.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
You guys, whatever she wants to.

Speaker 6 (10:30):
Do, she's gonna do.

Speaker 7 (10:32):
If you were dating a hot girl at my age,
you would be doing the same thing.

Speaker 6 (10:36):
My biggest problem is that she allowed him to.

Speaker 7 (10:38):
Go and do that interview with that hole on the shirt. Like,
that's my biggest problem with Jordan. Why did you let
him do that interview with that hole in the navy shirt?
Give him a button up. That's literally my biggest complaint
about her, because you should have had your man looking a.

Speaker 6 (10:50):
Little bit better.

Speaker 7 (10:51):
But it's as simple as you're making it. He's living
his life. He wants to have fun, and she's providing
the fun.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
But she's just in charge.

Speaker 6 (11:00):
And you know what's gonna be.

Speaker 7 (11:01):
What's crazy, Jason, six months from now, if his team
is winning, none of this is going to matter. None
of this is going to matter if that football team
is winning and is successful, and it's.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
All gonna matter if they're losing. And that's the whole thing. Absolutely,
what he's done is he is he has accelerated his
timeline to win at North Carolina. Win and nobody cares
if you lose the first year, what would North Carolina say, Hey,
we still had a great year. There's so much attention
spent on our team because we have Bill Belichick. Recruiting
is going X, Y and z. But now if they lose,

(11:30):
suddenly it's okay. There's a clock on the time here,
and if you lose again next year, we got to
do something else. He put a clock on it with
what's going on?

Speaker 7 (11:38):
Yeah, because people are gonna want to know the reason
as to why he's not successful, right, we want to
blame someone, and the blame is going to go to
her immediately as a distraction because the distraction wasn't around before.
And look at how many you know, super Bowls. He want,
that's going to be the discussion. But in reality, it's like,
we don't know what's going to happen. And maybe he's
gonna have a great successful career as a college football

(11:59):
coach because he's having so much fun on the side,
living his best life.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Yeah, but like I said, that shirt in the IDGAF
part of his career, he doesn't care. He dressed for
that interview like he was a twenty four year old
rock star. I'm the lead, I'm Wolfgang van Hale, and
I can dress however the hell I want to, because
I play all the instruments and I do edit. I
can dress however, not that he dressed like that, but
it's like when you're twenty four to twenty five, Yeah,
that's how I do. That's my thing. Dude, you're seventy three.

(12:25):
Wear a shirt that doesn't have a hole in it,
just a quarter zip.

Speaker 6 (12:28):
I'm not asking for much.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
And why are you, you know, asking for much? You
you work for North Carolina, right, yet nobody I'm wearing
a navy sweatshirt and Jordan's gonna wear a navy sweatshirt, right,
not a navy color, No, the Navy like the Naval Academy.
So that's what I'm gonna wear. Like that, that's Barrow.
I'm like, okay, dude, just let's let's have it a
little bit. But like I said, when you get everybody
gets to a point in their lives where they just

(12:49):
don't care about stuff, right and ed it happens. And Belichick,
clearly it's weird for him because you mentioned it before,
because we've never seen him be anything but in control
of everything. Every room he was ever in, every relationship
he ever had, he was always in control. And now, yeah, certainly,
I think you see people in control, then you have
a relationship behind closed doors and it's a fifty to
fifty split or somebody is more alpha than the other relationship.

(13:12):
But we've always seen the and because this relationship is
so public, we see the public Bill Belichick, and he's
never given control away to anything, and now he's giving
all kinds of control to her. But again, I take
you back to when you're seventy three and you're dating
a twenty four year old. I want to keep this going.
What do I need to do to keep this going?

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Whatever?

Speaker 7 (13:30):
She says, yes, And exactly a three year old who
has accomplished already so much. Like really, he's probably like, guys,
let me have a little bit of fun here, let
me have a little bit of funln't having fun?

Speaker 6 (13:42):
It wasn't fun.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
I hated Tom Brady, I hate Rubbert Kraft, I hate
my book. I can't set any of these guys, you.

Speaker 6 (13:49):
Know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Like this is this is him.

Speaker 7 (13:52):
Living his best life, but it is just it's just
a little weird because it's not the perfect example. But
I was like, if Antonio Brown came out with like
a crazy, crazy girlfriend who ran his world, we'd be like, well, okay, yeah,
because he's crazy, he likes.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
That crazy lifestyle.

Speaker 7 (14:06):
But because he's been so Bill Belijack has been so
reserved and so serious with one word answers in you know,
postgame interviews or press conferences, and then we see this
guy literally being in a way I'm using the word control,
but I don't think that's what it is.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
I think it's what you're saying. I d G a F.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
I d G a F.

Speaker 6 (14:25):
And I just don't want to say it because I
was going to say actual words.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
What does that I don't give him fertilizer.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
He's like through the hole in the sweater for a second.

Speaker 5 (14:37):
Okay, if they had put if she had put him
in a button down nobody would have recognized that.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
That's another Yeah.

Speaker 6 (14:43):
Really, that's my biggest Petvieve is that she come on.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
A polo just looks so familiar. I just can't I
can get out. Who is that guy wearing your shirt
and tie? I don't understand this guy. I don't really
get it. He's like, he's like the the you know
when you have a roommate as a freshman and he's
the real straight laced one, right, you eat him. You
know where you're from. I'm from a small town in Pennsylvania.
Never really get to the big city all that much.
I'm very buttoned down in straight lace. Every Okay, we're

(15:07):
gonna order a frat party for the first time. You
lose track of him for a half hour. They're like, hey,
where's Jimmy Man. I gotta find you, haul man. I'm
worried about him. He's never been to a party like this.
And you go, oh, there he is doing a keg
stand in the middle of the room, going yeah, hey Jason, Yeah, oh, okay,
that's Bellichick mat without a shirt.

Speaker 7 (15:24):
He's already lost the button of no sure or has
found someone else's shirt well true, yeah, yeah, yeah, he.

Speaker 1 (15:32):

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Friday Night Party, Everybody, Fox Sports Radio. The Jason Smith
Show with Monte Belanio Sin for Mike Harmon, I told
you Frostburg. Best rock song in the last ten years.
Songs about five days old. Wolfgang van Halen's Mammoth. This
song is amazing. It starts out You're shot out of
a rocket, telling you this is nepotism. I can get

(16:52):
behind because I can't wait to see the next album
from Mammoth because this song is amazingly good. The video
is fantastic. Danny Trejo is in it. It's kind of
an omaz to. It's no Monster from Dust Till Dawn.
The Salma Hiak scene, which is the greatest scene in
the history of movies. There's all these big rock stars
that are in it. Valerie Burtonelli is in it and
she's fighting off zombies. But this song is amazing. We'll

(17:14):
think van Halen is, I mean, plays all the instruments
on this song. This song is amazing, and look, you know,
it gets us into this is the guys. I wanted
to hear the song, but it gets us into nepotism
because I love nepotism. Yeah, and here's the thing, I
don't mind it as long as you know a couple
of things. As you know, look, Nepo kids here in

(17:37):
Hollywood are a big deal. And you know, getting chances
at other people trying to break into the business wherever
it is, don't get and I don't mind as long
as you know one you know, yeah, I get it.
You know, everybody works hard, you know, but understand that
getting a break is half the story. And when you're
you know, a kid of a famous singer or famous
actor or actress, yeah you get you get the leg

(17:59):
up over everybody else, right, And as long as you hey,
I understand that I got a really good break. Okay, great,
because if you're not good at what you do, it
doesn't matter right eventually as well? Yeah, yeah, okay, but
you're not any good. And you know, here's Wolfgang van Halen,
who I'm telling you, he's just I remember Eddie van
Halen doing an interview shortly before he died, and he said,
I'm not worried about my legacy. My kid is going

(18:21):
to bypass everything I can do. And he does all
the things that Eddie did. He plays all the instruments,
and Eddie grew up he was playing the drums and
finally he played guitar, and his brother said, why don't
you play the guitar and I'll play the drums. How
about we do that? And now this song, it's about
a week old and it's it's an incredible so, like
I said, I'm listening to it over and over and
over and over. It's like if Van Halen met Lincoln Park.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
That's what the song.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
It's a good description.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
And they're working on the new album now and coming
out like like Mammoth is terrific. And this gets us
to what happened today, because what did you see? The
big headline in sports was Charlie Woods, Tiger Woods's kid
failed in the second attempt to qualify for the US Open.
Right like Charlie Woods is sixteen, was three over par
seventy five in Florida earlier today, seven strokes off the

(19:06):
required score of sixty eight. But he's getting better. Last
year he tried to qualify as a fifteen year old,
he was nine over a part. Mean, he's playing championship
courses and he's sixteen years old. And when this headline
came out today, I said to myself, this is how
the PGA Tour gets past the Tiger Woods hangover, right,
because Tiger Woods comes out, you know, as you know,

(19:29):
we're waiting for him for so long. Ninety seven he
wins the Masters in his first big event, and all
of a sudden, golf changed forever. He changed the sport forever.
There's very few athletes that have changed their sports forever.
Tiger Woods did it. Caitlin Clark is in the process
of doing it now. But now where does the PGA
Tour go? Right? Okay, they're still in the Tiger Woods
hangover like boxing was in a Mike Tyson hangover for you,

(19:51):
still in a Mike Tyson hang Is you gonna fight again?
Can he fight somebody else? Not in Jake Paul?

Speaker 4 (19:55):
Can he fight?

Speaker 1 (19:55):
Can he still brink? Like they waited for so long?
And I'm sorry there was nobody else, but there was
no one to take up the attention and the popularity
of Mike Tyson. Now golf is doing well. There's big
personalities and there's really good players, but it's not quite
to the point of Hey, Tiger was and still is
in many ways the PGA Tour, He's not gonna win anymore.

(20:15):
He's not gonna be healthy enough, he doesn't play long
enough how are they gonna solve this problem? We keep
pointing to, well, Rory McElroy, if it was him, Bryce
and d Chambeau. We thought it was Jordan's speeth for
a little while. But honestly, what it's gonna be is
we just got to wait another couple of years for
Charlie Woods. Obviously, he's Tiger Woods his kid. Obviously, you
know he's nearly good enough to qualify for the US

(20:37):
Open when he's sixteen years old. Tell me, when he
hits the tour, he isn't gonna be front page everywhere.
He and Tiger for a while, to be he and Tiger. Obviously,
he and Tiger, He and Tiger. Then if he wins,
he goes on, he forges his own identity. But this
is how the PGA Tours said, Okay, we just had
to wait. We just had to wait for Charlie Woods
to get old enough so we could get into play.

(20:57):
And that's going to be. This is how the PGA
Tour gets back to the levels it was with Tiger
because who's not going to be in for this? And
obviously Charlie Woods has the game and he's good enough,
and eventually it's gonna be Hey, how's Charlie doing. It'll
be just Charlie like Tiger was just ty Charlie. Is
Charlie playing this week? Where's Charlie? Oh, he's gonna make
the cut. Charlie's doing this. Charlie's doing this. He'll be
a one name star, just like his dad. That's how

(21:19):
the PGA too, whether they know it or not. Today
their issues for how they get passed the Tiger Woods
Zara have been solved.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
You know.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
It's crazy.

Speaker 7 (21:26):
Is maybe like a year or two ago, when Charlie
Woods was playing here and there, I was like, this
guy should play with a different name. Like Goldie Hans's
daughter is Kate Hudson. They don't have the same name, right,
Like that's her daughter.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
Rode right, Okay. Then Dennis Quaid's son has a different name.
I can't think of his wall it's Jack Quaid.

Speaker 7 (21:46):
But you know, like sometimes the Neippo babies choose a
different name on purpose.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
Right, So for a while I was like, Charlie Woods
should not go by Charlie Woods.

Speaker 7 (21:55):
He should go buy another name so people don't focus
on him, and he could just Charlie Daniel, Charlie.

Speaker 6 (22:00):
Daniels and you could just go out there and play.

Speaker 3 (22:03):
But clearly I'm wrong because you're onto something.

Speaker 7 (22:05):
Because this name is going to be huge for the PGA,
especially because, like you just said, he's gotten better every year.
When he and Tiger Woods play that father Son Tournament,
they're always they've been in the finals. A few times
they haven't won, but they get to the finals. He's
been better every year, only sixteen. He is going to
be so big for the PGA Tour. And it's crazy

(22:26):
because people don't really dislike Tiger right, Like everyone loves
Tiger Woods. Lebron James is a polarizing athlete, so when
Bronni James comes into the league, everybody has something to say,
and a lot of it can be negative. But I
feel with Tiger Woods, it's not gonna be a lot
of negative chatter.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
Every Okay, his his ex's probably absolutely.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
In general, nobody holds that against him.

Speaker 7 (22:53):
All the cheating and all the scandal, they don't hold
that against him. We still look at Tiger and like,
still admire him.

Speaker 6 (23:01):
We still everyone still loves.

Speaker 7 (23:03):
Tiger aside from maybe some women of course, but in general,
we'll go.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
Through anybody's life, Hey, everybody, well except their exit anybody.

Speaker 7 (23:12):
But even though his scandal was you know, news headlines,
people quickly moved on from it, like we don't hold
it on to Tiger. It's quite impressive how much he's
still loved. In my opinion, nobody thinks of the scandals
when it comes to Tiger Woods. We think of the injuries,
we think of the car accident, We think of, oh,
he's never going to go back out there and give
it another shot when everybody just wants him to go

(23:33):
back out there and be competitive one more time. But
he can't do it. He hasn't done it the last
couple of outings. Charlie Woods is what the PGA tour
is waiting for. Absolutely, absolutely, And I literally.

Speaker 6 (23:44):
Was like, he shouldn't have had Woods as his last name.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
But I was wrong.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
If I said, if you know who Charlie Daniels is,
said Charlie.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
Danel, No who Scotti Scheffler's nephew, charge.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
Charlieew Charlie Daniels, Right, No, No devil went down to Georgia,
Charlie Daniel. You never hear that song. No devil went
down to Georgia looking for a sold this deal in
a buying way behind looking to make a deal. No,
you keep going, but none of the biggest songs of
the seventies.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
Okay, wow, okay, no, Maybe is.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
There listening to seventies on seven? Or if Charlie Daniels
band Devil went down to Georgia was a huge different Charlie,
Charlie bit my finger.

Speaker 6 (24:26):
Charlie bit my finger.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
Charlie remember when Charlie bit my finger and David after
Dentist were like vying for like they were the most
watched videos on YouTube voice. How many views do you
think it got? Oh, Charlie bit my finger? Like at
this seventeen years, it's got to be I'll say one
hundred million, million years.

Speaker 7 (24:46):
I say more than not smart seven, I'm not smart.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
It's got to be like pushing a it's got to be.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
Like over million, eight hundred million.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
It's got seventeen years.

Speaker 4 (24:58):
It's a little more than one hundred million, a little more.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Okay, it might be a million, Okayjan Soto he's getting
seven hundred and sixty five million dollars from the Mets.
I'll say seven sixty five.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
Remember guys, they were on Ellen.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
I'm pretty sure. I'll say seven hundred. But this when
Ellen was popular though.

Speaker 3 (25:13):
Right, okay, and still what they were on ellis but.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
When people liked Ellan and watch the show, right, this
is not after when everybody hated Ellen and she had
to move right, Okay. Oh they did see the video
of her like mowing her lawn in England the other
day on the internet, like she's mowing the lawn. Yeah. Well,
I mean, if you're Ellen degenerous, you can you afford that?
I'll say seven hundred and sixty five million.

Speaker 6 (25:34):
I say it's more than that, eight hundred.

Speaker 4 (25:37):
And eighty seven million views.

Speaker 6 (25:39):
I said eight hundred million from the get go. I win, win, Okay,
all right, went tally for me?

Speaker 1 (25:45):
Okay, all right, all right, look up David after Dennis.
Tell me how many David after Dennis has because they
were both the same, like they were the biggest one
for a while.

Speaker 5 (25:52):
Yeah, yeah, because that that was just like a trick
to get me to get a virus or something.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
Yeah, exactly. No, David after Dennis, you just donated money
to Steve Cohen to pay for one Sodo Sar.

Speaker 7 (26:06):
Video where he like he's like kind of like he
has off laughing as.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Right, Yeah, like he's he's after the dentist and he
is talking in the car and he's like still out
of it because you know, he had to go through
his I think it was wisdom teeth. Yeah yeah, yeah,
Mary Max very good. I think I remember that, okay, yeah,
because it was huge.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
It was so funny, funny.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
You didn't get past that. Yeah, you could have so
sixteen years ago. How many views seven hundred and sixty
five million, Oh, that's one sodo guests, seven sixty five millions.

Speaker 7 (26:37):
I'm gonna say this one is not as much. I'm
gonna say it's about five hundred million.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
It's way less, oh, way less.

Speaker 8 (26:43):
Because I vaguely remember it. Yeah, you're underestimating. Charlie bit
my finger. I was apparently show all right, two hundred million.
He got one hundred and forty three.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
Really oh okay, I really I can't believe Charlie bit
my finger eight hundreds. It just was so Yeah, but
that's amazing.

Speaker 7 (27:04):
Everyone tried to do it after, like try to do
the voice.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I bit my finger. Yeah. God,
that is true. That is true.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
That's like up there were like damn Daniel, Yeah, don'kay,
Damn Daniel.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
What about the Chewbacca mask Lady. Is how many for her?

Speaker 4 (27:22):
That one was really popular.

Speaker 1 (27:23):
Yeah, she was on like every single late night show.
She couldn't stop laughing, Like that's all she did was
laugh like every time she was on TV. The Chewbacca Lady. Okay,
she's got to.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
Be less, she's got to got to be way less.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
Yeah, yeah, she's got to be probably about a one
hundred and fifty millionaire maybe yeah, yeah, i'd say David,
after that, it's a second yeah, and then it's got
to be Chewbacca Lady.

Speaker 6 (27:43):
All right, let's take a look at Ubacca Lady.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
Yeah, Jewbacca Lady, I can't roll your tongue in the
back of your mouth, okay, and then go a little.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
Like a little come up the frog.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (28:00):
So this one's way less, all right, eighty million, way less?

Speaker 1 (28:05):
Really, fifty million way last well, no wonder Codin O'Brien
went off the air. He's views all this low. Only
fifty million people watching this, twenty million.

Speaker 7 (28:16):
Thoirteen million, thirteen million, fourteen million.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
Yeah, you gotta have somebody.

Speaker 7 (28:22):
Yeah, it's just crazy when something hits and when something.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
Doesn't like that.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
Charlie was just gonna hit he's.

Speaker 7 (28:28):
Gonna hit Charlie Woods, gonna just say he's gonna save
the PGA.

Speaker 3 (28:33):
Just wait, like that, he said.

Speaker 6 (28:35):
He's just gonna be known as Charlie.

Speaker 7 (28:36):
Charlie like Share Moses the Pope, Well the Pope is
two words, but Pope, the Charlie, Pope, Charlie.

Speaker 1 (28:43):
But Charlie.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
Maybe he'll have a moment.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
I like how you went Share seconds like share seconda
Can you name one share song?

Speaker 8 (28:51):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (28:52):
Yeah, do you believe?

Speaker 1 (28:54):
Okay, very good?

Speaker 3 (28:55):
Okay, name another one.

Speaker 6 (28:58):
I'm sure I do.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
Don't share songs, guys, But oh my god, you can't
pay me.

Speaker 4 (29:03):
You can't pay me a million.

Speaker 3 (29:04):
You can't even pay me one dollar.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
I can't give you another one? Really, Oh, Mary Mac
really got you?

Speaker 7 (29:11):
You do know that maybe we're just we know, but
we don't know it's her. You got them signing like
we know the song, but we are not associating.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
It with Share Stairway to Heaven, with Share Stairway to Heaven.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
You know that you can't always get what you want.
That was share strong enough? Strong enough with Share? Sure
any of these babe uptown funk with Share? Who else
was she? I got you?

Speaker 3 (29:31):
I got your babe, right, Yeah, that.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
Was Sonny and Share that was both of them yet
all right? And then her big one was I turned
back time twow turned back tow. So while Charlie's saving
the PGA tour, Monsey is going to save us right
now by telling us how many home runs the Mets
hit tonight. Lots as they win over the Cubs, and
what's trending.

Speaker 3 (29:52):
Yeah, let me tell you actually, how many four was
it for?

Speaker 7 (29:55):
First Francisco Lidoor, Brett Baby, Jeff McNeil, and then Juan Soto.
So the Mets four homers as they topped the Cubs
seven to two. I'm not a happy camper though right now, guys,
because the Dodgers were up against the Diamondbacks and then
they tied the game Lureis Guriel Junior with a grand
slam off of Anthony Banda, So Dodgers and Diamondbacks tied

(30:15):
at eight apiece. Bottom of the sixth inning. The Blue
Jays are up on the Mariners five to three. Top
of the seventh inning. The Oreoles, who we've talked about lost,
have lost five in a row. They do have a
three to one lead over the Angels. Top of the
eighth inning, Padre is still crushing the Rockies. We look
at the Rockies with seven runs on the scoreboard, but
San Diego is up thirteen to seven. Bottom of the
ninth inning in Colorado and the last one here it's

(30:36):
the Yankees and the A's. They've added another run, so
New York up for zero. Bottom of the sixth inning.
In the NBA, it's halftime between the Thunder and the Nuggets.
In Denver, Okac is up fifty six to fifty one.
This is game three of a series that is tied
at one apiece.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
The leading scorer for the Thunder Chet Holmgren. He's got
sixteen points.

Speaker 7 (30:56):
Shake gilges Alexander two of eight from the field for
five points, but he does have nine ReBs. When it
comes to Denver, it's Michael Porter Junior who's the leading scorer.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
He's got fifteen points.

Speaker 7 (31:05):
Earlier today, the Cavaliers outscored the Pacers won twenty six
to one oh four.

Speaker 3 (31:08):
In Game three.

Speaker 7 (31:09):
Indiana still leads a series two to one, but Donovan
Mitchell put on a show forty three points and nine rebounds.
Cleveland out rebounded Indiana in this game fifty six to
thirty seven. We've also got the NHL playoffs and the
Stars are losing to the Jets three zero after two periods.
Dallas does lead the series one zero, and Brad Marshan
was the one that hit the game winner for the

(31:31):
Panthers earlier today against the Maple Leaves, five to four
was the final score in overtime.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
Toronto leads that series to one.

Speaker 1 (31:39):
Back to us, thanks a bunch, monsee, let's get you
set for some NBA action tomorrow by talking about draft Kings.
Pick six new customers, play five bucks and get fifty
bucks and bonus picks instantly. Monty and I are gonna
give you our big picks for tomorrow's action in the NBA.
I'm gonna go with the Nicks and the Sell of course,
I'm going Nick Selton.

Speaker 3 (31:57):
Of course.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
Hey you got Jalen Brunch. He's over under twenty six
and a half. Take he's gonna score like sixty. No,
I'm actually gonna go for tomorrow. My pick, Jason Tatum's
over under has been inflated because obviously Tatum's a guy.
He's talked about stepping up his over under in points
tomorrow twenty seven and a half.

Speaker 3 (32:16):
Okay, so what are you going.

Speaker 1 (32:17):
I would be surprised if he wasn't halfway to that
at the end of the first quarter. I'll go way
Tatum knows he's gotta come up big. Yeah, I'll go
and he can get his shot whenever he wants. Look, Tatum,
is that good? He's had two days to sit here
and STU about this your fault. We're down to zip.
I go way over for Jason Tatum, but he only
has to go over twenty seven and a half. But

(32:37):
give me over for Tatum with twenty seven and a
half points on DraftKings pick six, Monsie, what do you got?

Speaker 8 (32:42):
Well?

Speaker 7 (32:42):
I'm also gonna do a little Celtics Knicks because again
that's the exciting matchup tomorrow. Karl Anthony Towns. Originally the
points was nineteen and a half. He's only had one
game recently that was over twenty points.

Speaker 3 (32:55):
He had twenty one, but the others have been under it.

Speaker 7 (32:57):
Well, now they've brought the line down to sixteen and
a half, so I'm.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
Taking the all. It was nineteen and a half.

Speaker 7 (33:04):
I was gonna tell you under I'm taking the over
at sixteen and a half.

Speaker 6 (33:08):
They are what they're doing.

Speaker 7 (33:09):
He's gonna he's not gonna go crazy, but he's gonna
drop seventeen eighteen points.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
Go New York, Go New York, Go, go New York,
Go New York. Got all right? So there it is
Draft Kings Pick six again. New customers, play five bucks,
get fifty bucks in bonus picks instantly. That's DraftKings Pick six.
DraftKings Pick six. Well, coming up next after today, you
can explain one team, one NFL team, how they're navigating

(33:35):
the post the off season that basically I think now
they're tanking for twenty twenty five. Way do we tell
you who that is? That's next right here? Jason Smith,
Monsey and for Harmon, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
Friday Night Dance Party Jason Smith, Monsey belangos in for
Mike Harmon, and we'll get back to the NBA coming
up in a few minutes. I understand all the Dodgers
fans here are really nervous right now. Dodgers Diamondbacks eight
eight and the sixth inning Diamondbacks have the bases loaded.
Oh my goodness. But big trade in the NFL yesterday,
we know that George Pickens heads the Dallas Cowboys. Steelers

(34:18):
get a third round pick back. They exchanged fifth and
six round picks, but basically this was hey, George Pickens
for a third round pick. Today, Steelers Gmomore Kahn talked
about this move and he said they made the trade
because the Pickens trade made sense for everyone. Right now.
I get it, because he'd been an issue. Talented as

(34:41):
hell on the field, right, but he had been an issue,
so they had to move on. They bring in DK
Metcalf as their number one but trading George Pickens. Okay,
they trade him. They're a worse team now for twenty
twenty five than they were before they made this trade. Like,
I get, hey Pickens for a third round pick, But boy,
do that before the draft starts, and you know, whatever

(35:02):
you wind up doing, you can move up and get
a player or not. But they do this. You know
you could have done that. You knew what George Pickens was, right,
You knew that you were. It's not all of a
sudden this relationship went awful in the last you know,
two weeks. I mean, it's George Pickens has been this
way for a while. When I look at the Steelers
and and I watch how they've been conducting themselves over

(35:23):
over the course the last couple of off seasons. Here
there are this offseason. Yes, I'm making trade for Dk Metcalf, great,
who's a young number one, still on the right side
of thirty for a couple more years. But I don't
know where they're going to quarterback. They really only have
Mason Rudolph. They're waiting for Aaron Rodgers to say yes,
and he probably would have said yes if we wanted
to get there. There's no other plan in place to
bring somebody. And and now they trade away a guy who

(35:45):
would have been their number two receiver and a really
good option next to Dk Metcalf, and I come back
and it's weird, But this is what makes sense, because
it's hard for me to believe that suddenly Mike Tomlin
and Omar Kahn are like, we don't we Yeah, we
suddenly don't know what to do a quarter it's the
most important position. And you decided to go cheap the
last two off seasons. But at this point, now, if

(36:06):
you said to me the Steelers are tanking for next year,
where there's gonna be better quarterbacks available and they'll get
their quarterback of the future because they didn't like the
quarterbacks this year. Whether it's Arch Manning coming out, or
we're gonna get some trade capital so we can move
up to get a guy. That would be what makes sense,
because that, I mean, I would disagree because Steve's like,
the Steelers don't tank right efter year. We're good, we're

(36:29):
a playoff caliber team. We're getting in. But if you
told me, hey, they're tanking for twenty twenty five, I say,
this absolutely makes sense because yes, they put all their
eggs in the Aaron Rodgers basket and they're waiting for it,
and they're okay with waiting for We're the bleeping Steelers man.
You don't sit here and just we wait for you,
like a wait for you to say yes, yeah, we
asked you the prom No, you either want to come

(36:50):
here or you don't. But if they're tanking, it absolutely
makes sense that we're gonna go through this year whatever
it is. And we traded for Metcalf and he's still
gonna be twenty eight years old next year, and we
got a lot of it. We'll do it next year.
Next year will be the year we go for it
in twenty six this is a tank year.

Speaker 6 (37:06):
You know, everything you said is very logical.

Speaker 3 (37:09):
I hear you.

Speaker 6 (37:10):
It's like all of these decisions don't make sense.

Speaker 3 (37:13):
Really, this is how you want to move forward. But
I can't. I can't see your vision, Jason.

Speaker 7 (37:18):
I mean, Mike Tomlin has not had a losing season
in eighteen years. The Steelers themselves haven't had a losing
season in twenty one years, and even last year, questions
still with the quarterback, right, they started with Justin Fields,
Russell Wilson comes in. They want in spite of their
quarterback play. They won because of their defense. I'm not

(37:39):
saying you're you're not right, but I'm not on fully
on board with your thought yet.

Speaker 3 (37:44):
Not yet.

Speaker 7 (37:45):
Now let's say we hear that maybe TJ. Watt is
going to be traded or something like that. Then I
start believing you a little bit more. But I truly
don't see how all of a sudden the Steelers don't want.

Speaker 3 (37:55):
To be competitive.

Speaker 6 (37:56):
But I see it because you're right, what are you
guys doing?

Speaker 1 (37:59):
What are you doing?

Speaker 4 (38:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (38:00):
No, And look, here's the whole thing is that when
the Steelers. What Mike Tomlin had, He had Roethlisberger for
his entire career, right, and that's what it was. Now.
Not always a rosy relationship with Roethlisberger, but they won
a lot, they won a Super Bowl. They've been trying
to piecemeal it with quarterbacks the last few years. Obviously
that's not good enough, so we're gonna wait and go
all in next year, which allegedly is a better quarterback.

(38:22):
And who knows, but allegedly next year's better quarterback. We
didn't like the guys this year. We didn't like the
options out there, so we're tanking this year to get
our quarterback who we think is going to be hopefully
our quarterback for the next deck game. Remember, Mike Tomlin's
a young guy, still going through, still a lot of
years left as coach. So yeah, I'll wait one more year.
We'll get by this year, and we'll go for it

(38:42):
next year with somebody tanking for twenty five. The Steelers
makes absolute sense.

Speaker 7 (38:46):
And you know, if this is what they're doing, this
was probably plan A D or E.

Speaker 3 (38:51):
This is not what they wanted to do.

Speaker 7 (38:52):
But now here they are in this position, and maybe
that is how they're going forward, because even though they
haven't had losing seasons, they haven't won a game in
the playoffs and how long they haven't gone out of
that first game. So maybe they do want to spice
things up if it means tanking this year. But it's
just hard to believe that Mike Tomlin and the Steelers
would do that. They're always so competitive in that division

(39:15):
that is competitive in itself, it's hard to believe that
that's what they want to do. But maybe because but again, this,
if they're doing that, this was planned de or e.

Speaker 6 (39:23):
This was not bland A b or C.

Speaker 3 (39:25):
Jason, this is.

Speaker 7 (39:29):
DNA if that's what they're doing. But it makes sense
because there's there's so many holes and you don't have
a quarterback. You don't no Skyler Thompson.

Speaker 1 (39:38):
He throwed it. Well, he's not Will Howard, that's for sure.
Coming up next, we get back into the biggest basketball
