The Warriors will have to navigate this game without Steph Curry. Now,

Steph just and it was it was a non contact injury.
He was back on defense and it looked like he
tried to turn to go play where the ball was
and he grabbed at his left hamstring, held onto it,
ran back up the court for the next possession. They

had offensively tried to come back for the next possession defensively,
was limping noticeably walked off the court under his own power.
But this hamstring injury is keeping him out for the
rest of this game. Now, here's the thing. Hamstring injuries
generally aren't one game things. Right now, I'm not playing
to be a doctor. I'm not gonna be one of

the internet doctors his Internet dogs ever. Uh, judging by
what I've seen on the on the play here, the
worry is for a hamstring. Then he was chewing on
his mouthpiece strenuous. Yes, the number of rotations on mouthpiece
chew this is double when he had that bad thumb
injury where he only missed eight minutes of game action.
Like I'm not playing a doctor here, but generally hamstring

injuries not a one game thing, not a one day thing,
not a hey, i'm out, and we hit it with
some some some whatever kind of treatment you want and
and stimulate it and then you're back playing in a day.
Like Generally, hamstring injuries are a few days even for
the the least series of hamstring injuries. So that that's

the big thing to watch out for because right now, look,
they're in control of this game, right Buddy healed is
hitting shots, and it's like it's like that the Warriors
don't know enough yet to know that, boy, we're in
trouble without steph Rt because Draymond's got sixteen. He's having
an incredible game. So they're going on the vapors and
the adrenaline rush, they're hitting shots. They're playing much better.
Not the first and not the last visiting team to

win in the second round of the playoffs on somebody
else's court. But that's the big concern going forward is
how long does he wind up being out for this game?
Is one thing. If they steal this game, you're thinking,
all right, the worst case scenario where one one going
back home. Maybe Steph can play in Game three later
on this week. Maybe, But that's where you're looking right now,
because that's the big thing. How long is he going

to be out? From about twenty eight minutes ago? Doctor
Evan Jeffries who lists Fox Sports radio appearances as part
of his CV, So there you go, Physical Therapists, NBA,
NFL Injury Insider, et cetera. He puts the timeline on
it of a Grade one seven to ten days, Grade
two three to six weeks. But then it becomes a

what's your paying threshold? Can you play differently? You know,
and somehow play through it moving around gingerly? I mean
again for Steph Curry, it just becomes a what's your
pain tolerance? A right, how much does it restrict your
lateral movement as you go through? So yeah, done for today.

has lost their best player and the guy that you
have to put all of your defensive energy behind stopping

lead in the final minute of regulations fight against the

To me, what's that line from I'm gonna go back

was game two at home, that you were still winning

like you had, everything that goes wrong in the final

playoffs and here when when when we do it, everybody

win this because this series is this, You're not as good.
Here are the players. It's not gonna happen, right, because
like going in, what did I say If this isn't
Thunder against either the Calves or the Celtics in the
NBA Finals, Something's wrong, right, Something's wrong. But look at
where we're at right now. Look look at these teams.

The Cavaliers are down two zip in the second round
of the playoffs, losing both games at home. The Knicks
lead the Celtics. When it was the Celtics are gonna
win this in four. This is gonna be an easy
Celtics walkover. The Nuggets have shown Hey, guess what they
went on in won one game already against the Thunder.
Here are the Warriors and the Wolves, and the Wolves
are playing horribly and you don't know how long the

Warrior's gonna be without Steph Curry. For once you get
to the playoffs, everything starts over. And yes, you want
to think that because of what we've seen, we have
a general model or an idea of how things are
gonna go. And this is one of those years you go, man,
you just don't you just don't you just why wouldn't
you try to do everything you can to get into

the playing round as a team because you never know
what could happen injury wise or matchup wise when you
play against someone. Right, the number of NBA teams that
put it away at sixty games and say, you know what,
if we make the playing round, we play a couple
of games, great, We're not going to go crazy the
deadline to try to make ourselves a playoff team. We're
either a team we think can win a championship or not. Well,

you know what, there's more teams that you think can
win a championship than actually believe themselves that they can win.
And I mean front offices and owners get should we
spend the money on this?

Probably not our year. Look how good the Cavaliers are.
Look how good the thunder are. They got Hartenstein. I
was a great move right here, and obviously SGA has
become the MVP. We're not going to compete with them.

and you have the team that won last year in Boston.
Why should we go crazy the deadline? Why should you
a trade trying to get it. And then the playoffs

start and you go, what were we so afraid of?
What were we so afraid of? Why did we make
a more aggressive move of the deadline? Why didn't we
do X, Y and Z. The Lakers are saying, why
didn't we just make that deal for Mark Wins. Maybe

got scared. Team pulled it back. That guy played a
lot of minutes down the stretch. Teams get scared, and

Well, I appreciate that. The funny thing is that at
the beginning of the interview I said to Manny, I said, Manny,
I'm sorry that I'm short. I'm gonna have to sort
of extend my arm about as high as it goes
to be able to get this over your head. He
was like, he laughed, But I I think it's first
of all, how about this, I've got a credit the
one and only Susan Waldman. That was actually Susan's umbrella.

So we were we were down at the so the
rain was pouring down, Susan was there, had the Yankees prevailed,
and we were standing next to each other, and Susan said, well,
I'm not going to go into the field because the
Podreys once So do you want the umbrella that for
your you know, for your on field? I said, well, sure, Susan,
thank you. I appreciate that. So I'll get I'll get
it back to you in the prescott and so I

brought it out of the field, that Susan's umbrella so big,
thanks to Susan, and I interviewed Manny. I think as
I watched it back later on that night, I realized
you couldn't even see my face, which many would say,
I've never looked better on TV. I mean, you can't
see my face. That that's how indeed most would prefer
to see me on television, not having to see my face.
So I just hold the old the umbrella up there

interviewing Manny. Uh. There was quite a comeback by the
by the Podreys that was I'm sure it warmed your
Mets loving heart to see the Yankees fall in such fashion.
And and then I got the umbrella back to us,
and the Yankees responded with a thorough victory tonight. So
we'll see what happens in the rubber game tomorrow.

ninety three. Was the last time somebody got hit with
a fly ball or a pop up and it hit
them in the head.

It was. It was as much of a direct hit

major league game. It was even with ken Seko was
more of a glancing bloke. He was moving this. This
was my rob was almost camped underneath it. It was
a fairly extraordinary moment. So I feel badly for Chase,
And there was a there was a moment after We're

used where the camera goes in there and and looks
at his reaction to the play itself, and you almost
you could almost see on his face that he was thinking, yeah,
this this replay is going to be around for a while,
and and you can just kind of tell that he's
having that thought. Of course, he came over in the
Garrett Crochet trade. I'm a big fan of him. I
think he's gonna be a good contact bat for the

White Sox for a while. But my goodness, that was
that was not the kind of contact he was looking for.
And uh and by the way, so speaking of speaking

year old called up and demanded the removal of Aaron
Boone as the Yankees manager. And I said to myself,
she got twelve year old caught up and the host
basically said, like, do you even were you even alive
when Joe Girardi was the manager of this team? Like
that wasn't that long ago? Were you even alive when
that happened? I just I couldn't believe it. I had
to I forgot that earlier. That was that was one

of my other favorite New York moments, Like a middle
schooler legit calling up and saying that Bo should be dismissed.
I just I thought that was I did not mention
this Aaron the next day when I went in for
the meeting of the day. By the way, it was
a twelve year old from from Suffer, New York who
thinks you should be you should be let go? And
I didn't. I didn't mention that. I just kind of
let that go.

No, that was my son's best friend. He calls the

on the injured list. But yes, I like what Edgar
Martinez has done as the hitting coach, so much so
that the Texas Rangers have now hired Brett Boone, who
was known as the Boone, to be their hitting coach.

Now that they're basically all two thousand and one Mariners
are now up to be a hitting coaches in Major
League Baseball so Mark Maclamore, carlos Ki, and Jay Buhner,
we're coming for you to get back on the field.

a fairly clear path to do a playoff for we

scoring position, and ta Oskar does the Freeman does it too.
But I think part of the reason why the Dodgers
have been so good lately as they've got both of them,
and now with only having Freddie I mean only, of course,
they also have Otani's bets and Edmund as well, but

I think thea Oscar is a massive, massive loss. He
is to the lineup. He is about as important as
probably right now anybody, with the exception of Freeman. That's again,
Otani's the reigning MVP. I got that, But the way
the lineup has set up this season, I think he
is the co most important player along with Freeman, and
this is a massive absence for the Dodger staff to

handle right now.

The Warriors will have to navigate this game without Steph Curry. Now,

we brought to this story about twenty five minutes ago
Steph just and it was it was a non contact injury.
He was back on defense and it looked like he
tried to turn to go play where the ball was
and he grabbed at his left hamstring, held onto it,
ran back up the court for the next possession. They

had offensively tried to come back for the next possession defensively,
was limping noticeably walked off the court under his own power.
But this hamstring injury is keeping him out for the
rest of this game. Now, here's the thing. Hamstring injuries
generally aren't one game things. Right now, I'm not playing
to be a doctor. I'm not gonna be one of

the internet doctors his Internet dogs ever. Uh, judging by
what I've seen on the on the play here, the
worry is for a hamstring. Then he was chewing on
his mouthpiece strenuous. Yes, the number of rotations on mouthpiece
chew this is double when he had that bad thumb
injury where he only missed eight minutes of game action.
Like I'm not playing a doctor here, but generally hamstring
(05:29):
injuries not a one game thing, not a one day thing,
not a hey, i'm out, and we hit it with
some some some whatever kind of treatment you want and
and stimulate it and then you're back playing in a day.
Like Generally, hamstring injuries are a few days even for
the the least series of hamstring injuries. So that that's
(05:50):
the big thing to watch out for because right now, look,
they're in control of this game, right Buddy healed is
hitting shots, and it's like it's like that the Warriors
don't know enough yet to know that, boy, we're in
trouble without steph Rt because Draymond's got sixteen. He's having
an incredible game. So they're going on the vapors and
the adrenaline rush, they're hitting shots. They're playing much better.
Not the first and not the last visiting team to

win in the second round of the playoffs on somebody
else's court. But that's the big concern going forward is
how long does he wind up being out for this game?
Is one thing. If they steal this game, you're thinking,
all right, the worst case scenario where one one going
back home. Maybe Steph can play in Game three later
on this week. Maybe, But that's where you're looking right now,
because that's the big thing. How long is he going

to be out? From about twenty eight minutes ago? Doctor
Evan Jeffries who lists Fox Sports radio appearances as part
of his CV, So there you go, Physical Therapists, NBA,
NFL Injury Insider, et cetera. He puts the timeline on
it of a Grade one seven to ten days, Grade
two three to six weeks. But then it becomes a

what's your paying threshold? Can you play differently? You know,
and somehow play through it moving around gingerly? I mean
again for Steph Curry, it just becomes a what's your
pain tolerance? A right, how much does it restrict your
lateral movement as you go through? So yeah, done for today.
As of now, you've got the emotion, the adrenaline, everything else.

They're absolutely bludgeoning this Timberwolf squad because not only are
they hitting shots for fifteen from three point range with
the t Wolves in the first half we talk about
Edwards and his inability to find the bottom of the net,
but just overall they're getting out hustled every fifty to
fifty ball. You've got a Warriors player or two on

the ground, Draymond Green having a good first half, and
at no point have we said, hey, Draymond Green trying
to agitate guys into silliness because they've been beating the
hell out of them from the opening. Yeah, so he
hasn't had to pull that card yet. Look, I am
absolutely embarrassed if I'm the Timberwolves. Yeah, this is ridiculous.
I mean, I mean, Okay, so the Knicks beat the Celtics. Okay,

the Knicks are a pretty good mixer, a pretty good team,
and you shot horribly if you're the Celtics. All right,
Cavaliers have lost two to the Pacers, but they've also
been without three of their top players. Okay, the thunder
lose won last night. They were up big, they gave
it away, Check makes a free throw. They wind up
winning that game. Yeah, but this is you, guys at all.

This is you guys at home against a team that
has lost their best player and the guy that you
have to put all of your defensive energy behind stopping
he's not been in the game for the last quarter
plus and the lead has increased, and it's become a
nineteen point lead like this is. This is absolutely I

know what. I'm more embarrassed for the Cavaliers blowing that
lead in the final minute of regulations fight against the
Pacers or the Tea Wolves down by nineteen right now?
To me, what's that line from I'm gonna go back
to uh A? What do you call it? I can't

you are all equally worthless, like right now, both equally

more embarrassed by right now. I would say, because it
was game two at home, that you were still winning

the game despite having those three guys missing, that game
was yours to finish the job. You have the inability

like you had, everything that goes wrong in the final
forty eight seconds of a game that you need to
win on your home court to at least get the split.
So right now, that's more embarrassing as bad as badly

win this because this series is this, You're not as good.
Here are the players. It's not gonna happen, right, because
like going in, what did I say If this isn't
Thunder against either the Calves or the Celtics in the
NBA Finals, Something's wrong, right, Something's wrong. But look at
where we're at right now. Look look at these teams.

The Cavaliers are down two zip in the second round
of the playoffs, losing both games at home. The Knicks
lead the Celtics. When it was the Celtics are gonna
win this in four. This is gonna be an easy
Celtics walkover. The Nuggets have shown Hey, guess what they

Here are the Warriors and the Wolves, and the Wolves
are playing horribly and you don't know how long the

Warrior's gonna be without Steph Curry. For once you get
to the playoffs, everything starts over. And yes, you want
to think that because of what we've seen, we have
a general model or an idea of how things are
gonna go. And this is one of those years you go, man,
you just don't you just don't you just why wouldn't
you try to do everything you can to get into

the playing round as a team because you never know
what could happen injury wise or matchup wise when you

to see me on television, not having to see my face.
So I just hold the old the umbrella up there

interviewing Manny. Uh. There was quite a comeback by the

as leads the major leagues in fact thirty four RBI,
which is ten more than Tommy Edmond, who was number two,
by the way in this category. Otani has thirteen for
him this season. But so but tay Oskar is the
guy who I think, in a lot of ways makes
this lineup go. He gives protection for Freeman, he lengthens
the lineup. He is a natural run producer. There are

not many bats in the in the game now who
have just different plate appearances when there's a man in
scoring position, and ta Oskar does the Freeman does it too.
But I think part of the reason why the Dodgers
have been so good lately as they've got both of them,
and now with only having Freddie I mean only, of course,
they also have Otani's bets and Edmund as well, but

I think thea Oscar is a massive, massive loss. He
is to the lineup. He is about as important as
probably right now anybody, with the exception of Freeman. That's again,
Otani's the reigning MVP. I got that, But the way
the lineup has set up this season, I think he
is the co most important player along with Freeman, and
this is a massive absence for the Dodger staff to
