So at TNF where we are right now, want to
keep you updated on this. I know that this may
be a shock to you, huh to a tongue of
(01:14):
I LOOA has just on another interception.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
A game a long way though, a game in.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Which the Dolphins were dominating at halftime, doubling the yardage
for the Baltimore Ravens, they found themselves down fourteen to six.
It is now a twenty eight to six deficit with
six and a half to go in the fourth quarter.
Again to a trying to go deep by Washington, Starks
picks it off and so now the Ravens have the football,
(01:42):
gonna kill some clock here with six and a half
left to go. The Dolphins are gonna fall to two
and seven, the Ravers are gonnaet back to four and five,
and suddenly we're gonna talk about the Hey Ravens playoffs,
Let's go. This is gonna be the conversation as it
goes forward. Suddenly we're up to ninety seven yards for
Derrick Henny Will he had ripped off a thirty five
yard or earlier. We'll see if he can do any
(02:04):
more damage here for your fantasy squad, maybe still get
that bonus for the one hundred rushing yards, because you
know he's only got that one catch for two yards.
Not helping you there, but airmailing it for two on
that one his first interception of the night. But you
go back to early possession. Right, the defense has played
fairly well over the course of the game, but you
gave up that seven points. Early fumble leads to a
(02:27):
short field for Lamar's first touchdown pass unto Mark Andrews,
and they never look back. Two a tug of Iiloa
threw seven picks last year. Seven all year right, seven
all year for Tua Right now he leads the NFL
with eleven eleven picks so far. And here we are,
(02:49):
I mean, you throw. When you throw more than one
pick a game, dude, you gotta stop and say, what
are we doing well? I mean he is helped by
the fact, I mean like I got to put a
star on it because he's actually playing in every game,
because there's a bunch of guys that probably would have
passed him if they just stayed healthy. Now, look, before
we get to Lamar Jackson Sam being glib. But yes,
the thing about Tua is you have now seen him
(03:11):
for a few years in Miami, right, so you know
something big is coming. You've seen him for a few
years in Miami, right when he came into the league
in twenty twenty. Hey, here he is coming out of Alabama.
What kind of quarterback is he gonna be? And you
know what, hey, not bad? Had some growth from year
one to year two, growth from year two to year three.
All right, year three for Tua twenty twenty two, that
(03:34):
was it. Hey, all right? Two is a guy. He's
figured it out. He's thrown for thirty five hundred yards
twenty twenty three, forty six hundred yards. Okay, Ta Ta
Tua the last couple of years not nearly as dynamic.
Last year he got hurt for a little bit, which
is part of the thing with Tua, and now this
year he's kind of back to the quarterback he was
in twenty twenty one. All Right, it's just not gotten better.
(03:58):
The Dolphins have had the best of him, clearly. They're
gonna pick very early in the draft next year, and
there's a lot of quarterbacks to choose from. The good
news if you need a quarterback next year is that
there's gonna be a few guys. The bad news is
there's not gonna be that number one overwhelming We have
to have this guy. Who are the top two guys?
The top two players are probably gonna be in some
(04:19):
kind of order Dante More and Fernando Mendoza, and those
are getting more of the run now with Indiana playing
so well, but More really great quarterback as well. His
game is well suited to the NFL. But there's other
players out there too. Ye, people are gonna want to say,
let's go get Nutsmyer. He's gonna be real. We like him,
we like ty Simpson. There's plenty of players if you
need a quarterback. Are you really going to come in
(04:40):
taking all of this into account, where there's gonna be
a new head coach, there's gonna be a new philosophy.
Are you gonna say we are good with Tua being
our quarterback next year when no matter what we have
seen from him in the past six years, it's not
quite bit enough. He did enough to get paid, but
(05:00):
every quarterback is. Anybody who starts more than two years
in the NFL winds up getting a ridiculous contract. Now
that's kind of what it's So it's not really a
big achievement. But we've seen to at his best in
Miami and it's just not getting better. We saw him
go up the top, get up to the top of
the mountain, and we see him come back down the
other side. Not that he doesn't have talent enough to
stay in the league and be a good starter. But
(05:22):
whatever's going on now, this is not it. And there
is not a player that falls under the category of
guy who needs a fresh start more than two a
tuglov love hundred percent. He needs that fresh start at
the deadline. If you're a team that needs a quarterback,
if you're looking for something, call the Miami Dolphins because
you can have for next year. Next year will be okay,
because there's an out in his contract after next year. Hey,
(05:44):
we can go in for two of this year. There's quarterback.
There's coaches out there that think, hey, I'm the to
a whisper. I know how to get the best out
of this guy. Let's go get him. We can make
a move for two. It's not gonna cost you a lot,
because you'll be paying a salary. The Doves are going
to start over again anyway. I'm sure they will pick
up the phone and listen. Listen, listen if you called them,
if you're going to start over anyway. When you take
(06:06):
all that into totality, this is not This is not
a question that, hey, to a stakes, you gotta get
rid of him. This is we've seen the best of Tua.
It's not the same in Miami. They're gonna be starting
over next year. Are you really going in with Tua
being your guy when you're gonna have an early first
round draft pick and you're gonna wind up taking your quarterback.
When you throw all of that into consideration, yeah, by
(06:27):
the deadline, Tuas should be on another team. He should
be a different team that he calls home and and
maybe maybe we can re we can revamp his career
and restart it a little bit because we've seen it.
We've seen so many of it, so much evidence of
proof that we know that can happen. Right there's nobody
out there that's an underachieving quarterback that you say, this
guy's terrible and he's never gonna be good, because we've
(06:48):
seen you get guys in the right system, they're gonna
be good, whether it's Mayfield or Darnold or Geno Smith
for a while in Seattle, I'm sure Trey Lance will
wind up starting some point soon in the next year
or two being remade the way he was and the
way he isn't in with the charges right now, there's
systems for everybody. Daniel Jones is probably the number two
(07:09):
player on the MVP board behind Patrick Mahomes. There are
systems out there, there are coaches who will do It's
not like two is bereft of talent. But what's going
on in Miami. It's hit its natural conclusion. You're spinning
your wheels right now. But that's the hard part is
that you're in year six of a guy that's now
started a ton of games. He stayed healthy only eleven
(07:29):
games last year, so nineteen touchdowns, seven picks this year.
I mean, you got two games that are do we
call them aberrations anomalies? I mean, is the sample size
is small, but that's the state of an NFL season.
Those are against the Chargers and the Browns. And as
much as we can mock the Browns in point, even
as a Jets fan and a Bears fan, I can
(07:50):
do that, you can do that. Their defense is still
pretty damn goods most days. In the three interceptions in
that one, so six of his interceptions come against those
two squads otherwise fairly clean. But you know where it
comes down to the difficulty of driving the football down
the field. He's thrown it a pretty good deep ball today.
(08:12):
Washington didn't really go up and fight for that last
that interception. I mean, he's got to at least take
the safety out on that and fight for the ball,
which he really didn't do. A couple of good throws
along the sideline, So there's there's certainly some things you
can sell. Can I plug him? Play him in mid season?
If I'm a team in need of a quarterback. Now,
(08:34):
I don't know, I don't, I don't you know who's
that quarterback whisper that's gonna go look at him?
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Right now?
Speaker 1 (08:41):
Cleveland has a million problems they're not going to bring
in to and now now to do that San Frans
you don't think the Raiders are bringing to a one
hundred percent. The Raiders will bring into a one hundred
and fifty percent's one hundred fives? Oh yeah, yeah, absolutely.
And that's the thing that judge is so bad Miami
wouldn't mind trading him within the division. Oh yeah. See normally, hey,
(09:01):
we get why why everybody in the Anstey North is
mad Flacco going to the Bengals. But this is the
Jets and the Bills would say, oh yeah, that's fine,
and the patron to say, oh, yeah, that's fine.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Yeah, trade, Yeah, anybody wants.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
You to the Jets.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
You're presuming that that Pete Carroll's getting fired after this
year because he's doing this right now with his guy. No,
there's no huge here, no, no, but here's the thing.
Pete is one of those guys who I think could
sit next to you and hey, we're best friends for
so long for like you know, we're long time, twenty
year best friends. Hey, this other guy wants to, uh
(09:34):
be your best friend and take you an all expense
patriop around the world. Hey, you're my new best friend.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
How's it going? New best friend?
Speaker 1 (09:40):
Like, I think he's one of those guys, And he
would say, but I love Gino. We're gonna get to
I love to Hey, god, who is my guy Jess
peaches because he left USC when like a rat from
a sinking ship with everything that was you know, that's Pete. Hey,
I love Gino. Gino's my guy. Brought him here. I
brought him into to Seattle, I brought him here to
to Vegas. I brought him here. We're to trade for Tua. No, sorry,
(10:02):
gen No, Tua is my I've always loved Tua he's
my guy. What do we have on record of Tom
Brady with comments on two a tongue of law. Everybody
tells me he's the guy making all the decisions on
this right.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
He didn't want him, wants him.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Whatever, But yeah, look if you can play on time
and in space again, they won that game last week,
even after those inane comments about not being able to
see Jalen Waddle and talking about his height, which I
thought was kind of interesting for a six year guy.
But no, is there a place for him? Sure, we
go through sixty quarterbacks a year. Yeah, so someone will
(10:39):
take a shot. Do I do it at the trade deadline?
I don't know that I'm pressing all in for him
when he's got to come in now, because then, but
you don't want him to get to the offseason where
teams have some time to think and go. No, we
kind of really like the fact that there's seven quarterbacks
in the draft that we like. You want to get
him now, where it's hey, here's a pro bowler out there,
(11:00):
I could throw for four thousand yards, not working, needs
a change of scenery. Let's go get him right now
rather than when you get to the off season and
it's yeah, but there's some other guys out there that
I think, yeah, we like to it, but not as much.
You might be the only one, but that this thing,
you might overpay because you like him. Now how you're
paying this is like there's a giant sandwich in the
checkout aisle. You don't need that sandwich, but the sandwich
(11:23):
looks great the dolphins way, you're thinking about not eating
the sandwich. What if I gave it to you for
half price. Take the sandwich, Eat the sandwich. I don't
get rid of the sandwich. Now I'm stuck with the sandwich.
It's like at a party when when you're when people
are leaving and then leaving house, and you're going, hey,
why take all this?
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Take some food? Take some food. You know I don't
want all this.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
I don't want all this in my refrigerator. Take some
food her and you're making plates for everybody here you go.
That's what the Dolphins would be getting rid of. To him, Oh,
take whatever you need, We'll.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
Give you a chen.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
We'll throw him in. I'll throw him in. It's gotta happen.
If only Steven Ross would get into the public like
Woody Johnson and Jerry Jones, exit out about a freskey.
You need a quarterback? Call the Dolphins. They will answer
your phone call. They will pick up so fast your
head will spin.
Speaker 2 (12:04):

Lamar Jackson returns the Ravens LINEUPO just a couple hundred
yards passing and four touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Worries it a Yeoman like.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
Effort, Ravens beating the Dolphins twenty eight to six. What

the party started.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
I guess that's an omal weekday and the Glazier household.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
That's ever a domo?
Speaker 1 (15:00):
How are you my friend?
Speaker 3 (15:01):
What I posted was she found mine in Strahan's outfits? Yeah,
shot together for Halloween? Correct? Hey, did you see the
other day on our show? They came out and scared straight,
So like none of us knew, and this dude comes
out and scared the hell out of strength. Stray acts
(15:23):
like a tiny little coward and screams like a like
a you know, little schoolgirl, I being the protector that
I have, stoic nothing, but I cocked my fist a
little bit right, and I say, that's how you get
someone hurt. And I thought, like right after my man,
(15:43):
you got a couple of gangsters on this show, like
somebody really could have gotten hurt. Like I'm glad I
looked good. But but Michael, if you want a schoolgirl
about it, it's like what if what if he struck?
Speaker 2 (15:54):
You know, like bam, no, it's it right.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
I mean potential for bad, bad things, security breaches.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
I mean we've had a lot of that stuff jamming.
You gotta someone has got to be in on the
joke on that.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
Set something else and none of it. I had no
idea I saw up man j There was a time
I said that on the show. I have a horrific,
horrific fear of clowns, like it's legit, Like I've got
a like psychiatrist for like it's bad and like because
when I was a little kid, my knuckle out parents,
(16:29):
it was like my crib and this huge picture of
this hobo clown over my crib. It looks like you
want to kill you and the eyes followed you. And
I got tormented about this thing for in the first
five years of my life. So I'm legitimbly harrifed. So
if you here and Michael knows about it. And there's
some other incidents we won't get into that. I have
a clowns and and straying at a clown at Foxingiville
(16:53):
Sunday for Good Morning America, and they the other producers
of Fox. I was in my dressing room talking to
a couple of producers h Berdy Tam and Joe Sanchos,
and the clown is Thatt christ P's like, oh, let's
bring the clown a glazier, and then Michael's like, hey,
whatever you do, make sure the clowns had to go
to the glazier's room, and this clown walked into my room.
(17:16):
I try to run away first, because I literally am
like definitely for like my life, and I bounced off
the wall and then I swung at the clown and
Joel and Bernie caught me messled me down, and cloon
was like, oh my god, and they lost you for
the whole day. I was done. I was over there
all right now.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
Now I want to go back for a second. Was
there no point when you were kid did you tell
your parents, Hey, can we take the clown picture down?
Can we put it?
Speaker 3 (17:42):
When I was old? Yes, yes, when I was old
enough to talk, I get that thing out of my room.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
Whatever. What happened to it? Jay, what happened to the picture?
I did? It was it bert is And it's still
out there somewhere, that thing.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
Not only that, they even took me like a little
child psychologist and they're like, well, let's just move his room,
and they put the freaking picture with me to the
next room. This thing was so scaryd it was not
like a good clown. It's a murderous clown, a murderer's clown.
Well though, I even said on the other day on
the air the other day, I will kill a clown,
And I was like, I probably shouldn't say that, but
that's how I feel. It's just how I feel. Well.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
I think the other thing we learned is that straight
hands lost his first step. Like, it's probably good he's retired,
because wow, I'll tell you, and for no reaction like
that for a guy that made his living reacting. So
that's on the defensive line. Yeah, he doesn't have a
first step anymore.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
But yeah, and I'm gonna protect you obviously in the relationship.
But said, I cocked my fist.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
I was ready to fight for Michael, but.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
Look at it. I did a little saying my boot
and then I was like, all right, all right, right, nope,
no danger here, cold joke.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
All right.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
So who are the Dolphins hiding behind after this game
tonight now falling to two and seven.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
No, I think the other story, the other end of it.
I'll then they're hide behind him, But it's just who
they are, right, and I think they've been disjointed all year.
But the other end of it, you know, look at
the first couple of weeks, the first quarter of season,
everybody's doing story the Ravens are dead, the Chiefs are dead.
I'm like, oh man, you gotta wait, you just gotta wait.
And the Chiefs going in this in front of the
(19:14):
stereot two and five female ce right, but you know
they're still a chief people. But oh, John Holdall can't coach.
He's got to go like he and Andy Reid suddenly
didn't like, forget how to coach. This is not how
it is, but the way the league is now people
have to understand the way league isn't training camp. You
can't touch anybody, you can't hit. There's really not teams
(19:36):
that do that. So it's almost like the first ten
weeks of the season are almost like fight camp, where
that's where you kind of get your rib and that's
where you start. You know, you can hit someone camp
and the pullets aren't live, you don't really react. So
it's really is like maybe first eight weeks of the season,
I should say eight to ten are It's like that's
(19:56):
when fight camp begins. That's when you find out who
people really are. And but think about guy first. You know,
first six weeks fives this season, we're all doing these stories.
The Chiefs, the Ravens, they're done, they're over out there,
they're not over. Just just wait for him. Wait for
six weeks in when you're in the middle of fight camp.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
Everybody starting to get healthy. Because certainly Lamar coming back
and the immediate did it, but the defensive side too.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
But even before last week gets the Bears, but Supe
Liam Cooper, Russia just doesn't sit their office. Yes, super
against they're a really hot, streaking Bears team and I
can tell you, I'm talking to people in the Ravens.
They were really confident going in backgam he was with Snoop.
They were just confident. And again, I just think it
(20:46):
just took them a while for things to click. They've
been banged up, They've been digging with injuries. She's for
banged up things with injuries and suspensions, things like that.
But no, the Ravens in the end of it. Do
we really think that Derrick Henry wasn't gonna start? Yeah? Jay, really,
defense is gonna be this bad though?
Speaker 1 (21:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (21:09):
Smith comes back, Hamilton comes back.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
They look good. Hey, look, I'm a Chicago kid. So
I was really confident in the Ravens last week too.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
By the way, this is this Arraymics team with that
that defensive tackle who's maybe their best defense sure player.
And but the culture of the Ravens there always I'm
in the Chiefs towards the end, They're just always going
to be there. They have a culture of winning, and
it's just how it is.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
NFL On Fox, Jay Glazer with US, Jason Smith, Mike
Harmon live from the Fox Sports Radio studios. All right, now,
as we get into the weekend, next week being the
trade deadline. I know things really heat up late, but
we've we've heard, hey, this could be a great trade deadline.
There's gonna be a lot of guys on the move.
Does that jibe with what you're hearing as far as
how active the trade deadline could be?
Speaker 3 (21:55):
No, not not like trade deadlines in the past. We
have like Christian McCaffery go and in the like, not
like that there is you know, look like Miami. Everyone's
trying to kill for from the roster, both of the ends,
you know, Chubb and uh Tillips, who I think really
could be on the go. People have tried with Wattle,
(22:17):
tried with the Shane. They're trying, right A lot of
teams called the Jets, you know, look for if they
can get guys in their defensive front. But it's not
like like you know, I said up Foxing Fund. People
are calling from Max Crosby. Dallas Is called from Max Crosby.
A couple of other teams also and they told Max
are not going in. But Max told me straight out,
(22:38):
I don't want to go anywhere, right, So take away
that in why the Browns won't do it. Something with
mab Garrett makes no sense to me. But Browns me
the Browns right just how it is right. But even
like the Bengals, like Trey Henderson, what are you doing,
Like you're not gonna have them back. It's just doesn't
make sense, like trade them with somebody for I would
(23:00):
think you'd get a one for Trey Hendrickson, are a
really good package for Trey Hendrickson, do something like that.
But I think for the most part, you know, I
think teams are swinging away somewhat, but they're really getting
rebuffed for the bigger names. Like some teams have called
the Jets for Quinton Williams and been told now, it's
(23:21):
got to be you know, ridiculous offer. You know, teams
have called for a j Brown, they've been told no,
they need a Hall of Famer in return. I know
that it's like they're saying, well, it's gonna be a
Hall of Famer has been like no, you know, So
it's it's not like like the answer is basically you
know when you say that, the answer is no. I'm
(23:42):
trying to think other big it's not you know, the
big names that people have tried for, they've all kind
of been told no. So I think you're looking the
Jalen Phillips that you know the Bradley Chubbs, the uh
you're gonna have the receiver from from the Raiders. Uh.
Jacoby Myers who like to think good chance to be
on the move.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
Recently you mentioned Jet's Breese Haall possibly or is he
going to say.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
You think, you know kind of Jets are weird? They're not.
They've been a lot more patient about just keeping their
guys that I thought a one team, a one win
team would be.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
Now you mentioned the Max Crosby situation. There was that
bit of dalliance with the Cowboys. He says he wants
to stay.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
There, Dallas asked, and they're like no, And then he
said to me, I won't go anywhere. But at least, yeah,
Dallas is running away. I mean, Dallas is cold. They
should they're trying. They got two ones, but they just
haven't had any luck.
Speaker 1 (24:38):
If they if they get some help, could they suddenly
be a team that can really do some damage? Like
are they one or two defensive players away from maybe
just improving the defense just a little bit that that
might be enough.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
I think there's more than a player. I think a
scheme too. No, the offense is played really really well.
But I think the scheme over there is struggle. Yeah,
I think the player, you know, they need some help
in the secondary. The play a scheme that's not like
his own scheme to play more of a man's team. Yes,
and they need some pass rushers and that's what they're
(25:11):
going for, and need another linebacker over there, So they
need some help over there.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
In detail, Yeah, certainly in the secondary. I mean, because
we're still in the unknown of what Trayvon Diggs situation
other than him being on ir right, And yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
I think that one's up in there. We'll tell that
that's up in the air, all.
Speaker 1 (25:31):
Right, Jay the other big story, and feels like every
week we have this story coming in about the Tush
push and the Eagles and officiated the way it is.
I got to be honest, I can't see this surviving
another year, not after this year and the questions about
how it's officiated.
Speaker 3 (25:45):
What are you why are we talking about now? It's
going to survive the rest of this season? Well? Yeah,
I mean, like, let's talk about it in March.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
People want to.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
Yeah, but that was the least of their problems. Please,
at least there are problems.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
A lot more there.
Speaker 1 (26:04):
Hey, how about New England, because Jason being a Jets
fan at all, he's really upset that Mike Rabel won
that battle of the new coaches.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
That trusting over there. He's doing a great job, and
it's just like, you know, I think, you know, you
got to look at it like a couple of years ago,
you thought that Mike Rabol is gonna get the job
right out of the gates. But they already have a
deal in place for Fila Coasta had last year. But
I think, you know, Verbel fits exactly what they've been
looking for really really well. It's interesting, you know, they
(26:36):
just trade the Niners defensive end. I know they want
a little bit more help on that side of the ball.
But I think he's done not least, he's done a
great job. Drake May. When he got drafted third, the
teams I talked to, man people were besides the Patriots
of it, nobody's really that high on Drake May except
for them. They were sold on him, and Drake May
(26:58):
has showing them all well. He has been absolutely phenomenal
in every aspect. And you know, to get a to
get a guy who's at your Francis quarterback for the
next you know, however many years double digit years was
a huge one for them, but also just shows you,
you know, how inexact the drafted. I mean, everybody I
(27:18):
talked to was like, man, we're out here, Patre's inn
May three. We would never do that. Like, I couldn't
find anybody who was in tune with that. Everybody liked
Jay Daniels, everybody like Caleb Williams is you know, everybody else,
but man, nobody really liked Drake may Ship for them.
That's all you need is that one team and they
were locked in and they saw it. Good for them
if they know what they're talking about, nobody else did.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
He's on Twitter at Jay Glazer, that is at Jay Glazer.
Check him out on Fox NFL Sunday. Maybe somebody else
comes out to scare him and straight hand this league. Uh,
founder of MVP, Unbreakable Performances, swinging away.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
From breaks and I are losing the air.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Why Why's Jay got his sparring gloves on? Hey, Hey,
next time you should you I'm telling you, no cloud
if that if that happens again, Jay, make it look
like Strahan is hiding behind you. If you could, like
like maneuver.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
Just it looks.
Speaker 3 (28:09):
Like he was behind me and scream.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
Happy Halloween. Body good, we'll talk to you next week,
say your body, thank you, screaming like a little kid.
I got my fits cocked. I'm ready to fight.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
The video of that is is quality, but it's one
of those things someone on that set. I mean, I
think you would include j in or one of the
I mean, I'm surprised nobody would have said, hey, now,
wait a minute, now, if you want to do this
clown thing with Jay, he has a thing on it.
I don't know that I would want to send somebody
out there like, oh, hey, we'll do the cloud.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
To be funny.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
No, no, no, he's got a thing like I would.
I don't know why you guys kept bringing it up.
That's what I meant. He brought up the story.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
I know.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
Yeah, but that said like he scarred from clowns. Yeah,
that's at the end of the clown talk.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
He to bring the jets up.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
We got a Frostburg. That's a good one. It's a
good one. That's a good one. You know what, you
don't see a lot of clowns with the green and
white scheme. Maybe you see a hot team outside the
whole time. I'm saying, in the pantheon of clowns, that
is not normally a thing. By the way, talking about
the Rabel Drake may uh stuff, as Jay brought up, Uh,
(29:29):
he was kind because there are reports that the Bears
war room kept bringing up tape of him and laughing
at it. Just going back to all the errant throws.
So it's like, again, you know, a nice job with
the offensive line this year, but dot dot dot exit
up bout a Fresco exit swollen dome. This show sponsored

you know what I'm saying. Okay, because I wasn't planning
on it, but now I'm gonna be part of the
fun with him because.
Speaker 2 (30:26):

Speaker 1 (30:28):

All Saints Day?
Speaker 2 (30:31):

Speaker 5 (30:32):
Okay, all right, okay, correct, And I'll probably address up
tomorrow too. But you know, I was in preparing.
Speaker 1 (30:36):
Tomorrow, but it was a different vibe, different outfit in
front of a camera at work one hundred.
Speaker 5 (30:43):
So now I'm prepping for a Saturday costume.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
I'm gonna pull it off. You can't wear the same thing, no, no, no, I.
Speaker 1 (30:49):
Could, No, I can't, but I could, but I can't,
but I won't. Look at this point, you should have
had Tonight's Devil's Night, right, So you should have had
a Devil's Night costume, Halloween costume, All Saints Day costume.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
That's a lot.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
That's a lot.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
That's lot of works.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
That's a lot of work. Is not Shakira nor it? Wait,
is it like Arbor Day Monday? Then you have an
Arbor Day costume on Monday? You come with a tree?
Sure you got a Stanford mascot costume from Amazon? Sure, yeah,
pull it off.
Speaker 5 (31:14):

Speaker 2 (31:23):

Speaker 5 (31:24):
Now They're like, no, it's not coming until Monday.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
Don't worry about anything, all right.
Speaker 5 (31:28):
Guys, let's start. In the NFL, Week nine is officially
kicked off. Ravens Cruise passed the Dolphins real easy.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
Twenty eight to six was the final score.
Speaker 5 (31:37):
Lamark Jackson returned after missing a couple of games because
of a hamstring injury. He was eighteen of twenty three
two hundred and four yards for touchdowns, while Derek Henry
had nineteen carries for one hundred and nineteen yards. Baltimore
improves to three and five, Miami falls to two and seven.
Other NFL news, Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray he's gonna play
Monday night against the Cowboys. He's missed last two games
(31:57):
because of a foot injury. Bengals quarterback though Joe Flacco
was limited in practice today because of his shoulder injury.
In college football, Nebraska has given head football coach Matt
Rule a too year contract extension that goes through twenty
thirty two. In the NBA, the Board of Governors approved
the ten billion dollars sale of the Lakers from Bus
from the Bus family to Mark Walter. The NBA, though
(32:18):
on Thursday night, Spurs start the season five and oh
for the first time in franchise history. They beat the
Heat one oh seven to one oh one, victor one
by Yama what can He Do twenty seven points, eighteen rebound,
six assists and five blocks. Thunder also stay undefeated. They're
six to ozho. They beat the Wizards won twenty seven
to one oh eight. Shake Kil just Alexander thirty one
points in the win and without Jana Santa te Koompeo,
(32:41):
the Bucks managed to top.
Speaker 2 (32:42):
The Warriors one twenty to one. Ten.
Speaker 5 (32:44):
Ryan Rawlins led the way with thirty two points and
eight assists. He had five threes in the win. Pallo
Bancaro twenty points, nine rebound, nine assists is the magic outscore.
The Hornets won twenty three to one oh seven. In
the WNBA well, the Players Association and the WNBA have
agreed to a thirty day extension of their current CBA
that was set to expire Friday tomorrow, So now they've
extended the current CBA through November thirtieth. When it comes
(33:08):
to baseball and the World Series, Dodgers mana sure Dave
Roberts today said that he's pretty much gonna consider anything
when it comes to show. Heyo Tani. He can be
an opener, he can play the outfield. If it comes
to game seven, anything is played.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
Again, did did I fall asleep and miss Game six?
If the Dodgers won to force game seven? Or do
they see yeah?
Speaker 2 (33:28):
Or do they pass?
Speaker 1 (33:29):
Do they still play Game six before Game seven? Or
do they play Game seven first and then game sex?
Couzzy math six seven six six seven six seven, Okay
six seven six seven.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
Yes, we get it. We understand there's still a game six.
We get it.
Speaker 5 (33:44):
Three NHL games going on right now, Shark some of
the Devil's four one. Late in the second period, Rangers
and Oilers are tied at three with forty seconds to
go back to you.

(34:17):
missed the biggest NBA story of the day. It was
an oh, by the way thing wrapped up in another story.
That's next right here, a very supernatural hit tot take
coming your way next, Jason and Mike Fox Sports Radio.

of your screen so you can lock it in. Rip
the knob off We have more NFL coming up at
about fifteen minutes. But a big day in the NBA today.
Obviously the San Antonio Spurs my long shot fifty to one. Hey,
NBA finals team, did you get down? I spent all
(35:37):
of Zoe's college money on the Spurs to make the finals.
All every make No, let's get to the finals. Okay, Yeah,
then I'll double down in the finals. All that money
we've been double down. Yeah, that's how you make Yeah
like that, Hey, extra cash, double up. But the big
NBA story today is wrapped up in a story that
(36:01):
I think people might have missed. So Mark Walter, who
now owns every sports team in the greater Southern California area,
he's the daddy. His purchase of the Lakers was approved, right,
There was no question about this. He was gonna buy
the team, buying it from the Bus family valued a
(36:23):
ten billion dollars. We knew this was gonna happen. And
Mark Walter a little bit busy with the World Series
right now. But you know, now Lakers sale goes through. Okay,
he owns a Dodgers and to Lake. This one just
became the rubber stamp, right. There were no questions about
finance issues or liquidity problems. He's talking about guys who
were rich, like Steve Cohen. All the money he's worth.
This guy owns the Dodgers and the Lakers. I mean,
(36:46):
that's crazy. He walks into a room like those old
Connor McGregor and Vince McMahon.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
You just smell money. I smell money walked in. Money
walked in.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
But this story, this big story, got wrapped up in
this because as part of this announcement, as we knew
when Mark Walter was buying the team, Genie Buss, owner
of the Lakers, was going to stay on and run
the Lakers for a little while until further notice. Okay,
the reason this sale was really good is because the
(37:20):
outdated way the Bus family has dealt with running an
NBA franchise over the past fifteen years. Right like that,
they found a way to really take a situation where
they should be leading the rest of the league in
new ways to do things and new ways to build teams,
and instead we're running it like a mom and pop store. Which, Okay,
(37:41):
it's great and it's quaint and I like it and
it's fun. Doesn't mean you win when you won't spend
more money when you allow players to have a little
bit more of a say and their ages to have
more of a say. The reason I like this is
that I thought right away, well, now the Lakers have
a chance. Now they have a chance because they're going
to sell the team, and someone new's gonna come in,
different ideas, different ownership, different ways of going forward. And then, oh,
(38:06):
by the way, just wrapped up in this announcement today
was that, hey, the Bus family's going to maintain you know,
ten to fifteen percent, fifteen to be governor, right, So
they're going to governess gonna stay fifteen percent owners So
Genie Buss can continue to run the day to day
operations for the next not one, not two, not three,
(38:30):
not four, but five years, Genie Buss, who the reason
it was exciting Mark Walter was buying the team is
because Genie Buss wouldn't be making the decisions that she
has made and people around her have made the last
few years. Now, Genie Buss is going to run the
day to day for the next five years. But here's
(38:51):
the question, that's a long Well, yeah, five years, five months.
If you said the next five months, okay, then we're
moving on the next five years. Kids who are juniors
in high school right now are going to do the
rest of their junior year, their senior year, They're gonna
go to college, graduate in four years, get out in
(39:12):
the workforce, and Genie Bus is still gonna be running.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
The Lakers now.
Speaker 1 (39:16):
I remember only a small percentage of kids actually finishing
four years still running. But those kids, those go getters,
those are the kids you're speaking to and of right now.
The thing with Genie Buss in this respect and the
infusion of cash, right it's like the mom and pop business.
We suddenly have a lot of money that comes comes
It's like, wait, we've always thought about, you know, franchising,
(39:40):
We've always always thought about expanding this, you know, seating
or changing up the menus, but we wanted to make
sure we got the distribution model a little bit better.
On here's the infusion of cash. Go live your dream.
So now you could do a lot of this stuff,
maybe in the infrastructure that you couldn't have when you
talk about training and facilities and all of that stuff
that we've been told, right the analytics department, all these
(40:02):
extra bodies that you haven't been able to do because
it is the mom and pop you know mentality, which
is good and bad.
Speaker 2 (40:09):
Right, it serves you both ways.
Speaker 1 (40:11):
Right, It's it's small in terms of the number of
people making decision. That's great unless you don't trust people
making decisions. But here you now suddenly are armed with
a bunch of cash that I think, I think you
could get the best of both worlds. I'm pretty sure
if it was just a cash thing, they would have
tried to do the Hannah Wattingham end of ted Lassa
(40:33):
where I'm gonna sell forty nine percent of the team
and get the influx of cash to help us compete
as we try to, you know, in the Premier League.
I think that's what they would have done. Yeah, but
look what happens here. The brothers are out. Yeah, it's
just her, Yeah, but they get their cash. I don't
think the Lakers didn't have money. I don't think this
was a case of I mean, obviously Mark Walter has
more money and a lot more like some owners are
(40:55):
worth way more than other Walter, But I don't think
Jennie bus was sitting around going, hey, I'm looking through
couch cushions and I ken it's but that's not that's nothing.
Chipota gift card. That's about all I have. But there's
a difference between you've got money and you've got crazy
money to go do other things. Money that they had
money to get Luca, they had money to get Lebron.
They had money. It's not like the Lakers. No, no, no,
(41:17):
But that's all inside right inside roster. I'm talking all
the peripheral stuff. Yeah, I think they I'm pretty sure
they had money. I don't think they had to worry
about knocking over three banks in Vegas like in Ocean's
eleven and now we got all kinds of I think.
Speaker 2 (41:30):
The Lakers had money.
Speaker 1 (41:31):
I think those guys had money too, though I think
they were doing it for kicks. I think that's the
backstory and everything. Well, you got to have money to
finance robbing a casino. You gotta have money, That's what
I mean. No, no, no, didn't know, didn't shut in
the hen And where were your brothers? Weren't they were
that we're getting they're getting ready to come kick your ass,
So I would I would lay off that a while,
(41:52):
not even getting No, they're not international travelers. But all
of that to say, it's they've now got like fifteen
people they've rounded up, but still no Joe.
Speaker 2 (42:06):
Still no Joe's there.
Speaker 1 (42:07):
They got the people that no one's talking, no one's yapping,
We don't get anybody.
Speaker 2 (42:10):
Good.
Speaker 1 (42:11):
One's on your friends, and always keep your mouth shut.
I mean they learned something. You'd be cool when the
cops catch you and we'll split those jewels, don't worry
about just wait for it shakes out down the line.
But in terms of just the operating expenses, like we
know this, there's plenty of plenty of owners that have
had they have the cash, but you always want a
little bit more right, You maybe feel like you can
(42:32):
walk out on that ledge a little bit more, especially
if it's somebody else's money. Exit a about a Fresca exit,
swollen dome, good luck being run by Jenie bust for
the next five and jmore, don't we're coming here owner.
Speaker 2 (42:47):
Coming up next?
Speaker 1 (42:48):
What the Ravens or whoever wins the AFC North could
do that would be the biggest favor the NFL could
possibly ask for.
