Speaker 1 (00:29):
Yeah, the Mets at DS pitch today. I don't know
why they're winning six to nothing at ninth inning. Let's
get a million of work. Hey, No, don't need to
get him hang of work.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
He's fine. Bring him in the ninth inning to start again.
You gotta hold.
Speaker 4 (00:42):
It's gonna make him look that much better on the
back of his baseball CAUs. Yes, didn't meet him in
the ninth inning. The Jason Smith Show.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
With my best friend Mike Harmon Live from the Tireck
dot Com Studios tirec dot com. I'll help you get
there an unmatched election, fast free shipping, free road hazard protection,
and over ten thousand recommend that installers tiraq dot com
is the way tire buying should be to Oscar Hernandez
with a two run home run of given the Dodgers
(01:09):
the lead over the Phillies now four to two. In
the thirty eight, Phillies are out to a two to
nothing lead. Freddie Freeman's first game back. Very emotional moment
for him in the first time, absolutely standing ovation when
he comes up to bat. It was awesome. Dodgers now
lit up the Phillies for four runs. Here Aaron Nola
getting taken deep just a few moments ago.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Now no law, no, no no. So while we have this.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Big matchup between the nl wes and nleast division leaders,
we have a big NFL story that could see its
conclusion coming up anytime now. It was just after the
draft when the ridiculousness started with Brandon ayukin the forty
nine is where I told you the Niners are going
to wind.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Up trading it.
Speaker 4 (01:53):
Right.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
I got proof. I just quote tweeted it, put it
back on Twitter. Right after the draft. I said, he
wants out. Yeah, the Niners are not gonna pay him.
He's gonna get paid by somebody he wants.
Speaker 4 (02:04):
Well that they were gonna have to make a choice, right,
it was going to be one or the other.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
You had the Instagram the conversation that was put up
on social media by his girlfriend, and Ayuk has pushed
to make this happen. He made this situation combative. I'm
sure the forty nine ers came out of the draft saying, Okay, well,
we drafted Pier Saul.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
We love him, he's really good. Eh, if we can.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Squeeze one more year out of Ayuk, and Debo and
Kittle and pearsall, hey, awesome. But they know we're gonna
have to trade Brandon Ayuk at some point. Now, whether
it was a fool's erran thinking we can do it,
but they knew at some point. Okay, maybe we squeezed
through this year and don't have to trade him until
next year. But if we have to trade him, we
know it's coming.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
And when you make it combative, and we know stars,
when stars want trades, they wind up getting taken care of.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
Well.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
According to Mary kay Cabin, longtime Brown's inside, the entire
time I've been at my radio career, she's been a
Brown's outside. And now other sources picking this up as well.
There is a framework for a trade on the table
between the San Francisco forty nine ers and two teams.
The Niners have worked out a deal with two teams
(03:13):
for Brandon Ayuk. The compensation has been agreed upon, the
salary has been quote agreed upon, and now Ayuk has
to choose. Does he want one of these deals? You
think I'm gonna say the Pittsburgh Steelers. That is not happening.
According to reports, the Steelers are out of the Brandon
Ayuk running. They seem close earlier today, but according to
(03:35):
these late reports, the Niners just asked for too much,
Like what do they ask for, Russell Wilson? I mean,
come on, So they asked for too much. So the
Steelers are out. So right now there is a framework
for two deals in place between the forty nine Ers
and the New York between the forty nine Ers and
the Cleveland Browns, and the forty nine Ers and the
(03:58):
New England Patriots. So they have deals together with both
of these teams. And now the ball is in Ayuk's court. Okay,
do you want either of these deals? Which one do
you want? Which team would you rather pick? And we
may get a resolution to this anytime again. Mary kay Cabot,
longtime Browns insider that's getting picked up by a lot
of other outlets here. That's what's happening at this hour
(04:19):
right now, with Brandon Ayuk, who has wanted to be
traded because he wants to get paid. He wants a
big contract. He's the next guy to get paid. Someone's
going to give him thirty million dollars a year. He's
not going to play for the forty nine ers unless
he was getting it. And now the Niners seemed like
to have capitulated and said, Okay, this is past the
point of no return and now we have to trade him,
which I said was going to happen after the time,
but that was.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Going to be the push, right. It was either gonna
be Ayuk or it was going to be Deebo.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
Samuel, And given Debo's usage and injury history, becomes a
much more difficult proposition when you look at Ayuk and
what he.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Could still be.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
Evidently didn't want to meet the thirty million dollars or
whatever the asking price was in terms of contracts. We
get into the trade. The Mary kay cabot is interesting
because in order to make it work, it seems Amari
Cooper would have to come back to the forty nine ers,
or if it's the Patriots. Then Kendrick Bourne the board identity.
(05:15):
Make your jokes, it would be coming back and forge
himself well a new identity in San Francisco, EXA.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
It just worked really well right there. But he would
be part of the deal.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
So Washington evidently was in for a while and they
backed out Pittsburgh, which we saw how many falls starts today?
How many times did you refresh to see somebody else?
Speaker 3 (05:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (05:35):
Sure, Bording, Hey, Mike, I joked with Jason locking for
it was like a nor Ad Santa Claus kind of thing.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
He's like, where's he yet? Now?
Speaker 4 (05:44):
But evidently that goes to the wayside, and now it
becomes the do you go to Deshaun Watson or do
you head over to become the number one for whoever
wins the sweepstakes in a rebuilt New England Patriots squad?
Now before you eat, did that first things first? Because
you would you would think if you're choosing between Ayuk
and Debo, you would choose Ayuk. Deebo is breaking down
(06:06):
a little bit. Uh, he's more of a gadget player. However,
according to you know and everything I've read about Debo
so far, this this summer is Deebo's come to camp,
he's put his head down, he's working hard, and that
was a big thing, right, So, Hey, I.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Want to stay. I want to be here.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
I got one guy who doesn't want to be here
and is putting out message on social media. If I'm
the guy that shows up and does my job, are
they really going to trade me? But especially Okay, maybe
this is a little bit of just we feel better
about it because no team wants Deebo Samuel over Brandon Ak.
Brandon Huk's a better player.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
Well, I think if I were, if I were missing
that one piece, right, if I were a team that's
in contention with Deebo for one year, one to two years,
that's all I'm looking for For a guy that's as
a runner as a receiver, you could kick him in
the return games like you can do a lot with
a Deebo sam But I don't think his values anywhere
(07:03):
close to what it is to San Francisco. And I
think there's some of that realization for him for his
career of what he is in that offense surrounded by
that amount of talent that.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
Shanahan knows how to use him properly.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
So yeah, you're gonna put your best foot forward to
make sure you're not the guy whose name gets called.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
I would hear you on debo if he just hasn't
sort of fallen off a cliff since his big year
in twenty twenty one, right when in twenty twenty one
he's phenomenal, Right, fourteen hundred yards receiving seventy seven catches.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
He's still the big running threat.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
But then it was, Yeah, I don't know that I
want to run the football that much anymore.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
I want to do different things. Yeah, you put me
out there. Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
And in the last couple of years, you know, he's
been a jag. Well, but you've also had the last
two years. But you've also had six guys to choose from.
And you can use him as a decoy quite a
bit to change up defensive schemes.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Yea more so than you do with Ayu.
Speaker 4 (07:58):
But that's someone you trot him out there, go luck
all right, Hey, now you have to really roll coverage
just towards him. And Ayukus is a fantastic playbook. He
did you know he did quit on that big route
in the Super Bowl that turned into a big play
that maybe the Niners could have wound up winning. But
it's just first thing is it's difficult for me to
sit here and go, Wow, you're the forty nine ers,
But you feel better about keeping Debo because he seems
(08:21):
like he's more worth the program.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
Ayuk was just going to be make things difficult, right,
He was just gonna make things difficult. His contract situation
was always going to be a problem. So you knew
you had to move them. So and they did right.
Like I said, it was we'll try to get through
this year, but we can't and we're gonna wind up
moving them again.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
I told you in April.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
Now here's a statement that would not have been would
not have made sense for basically two thousand up until
like last year. But if you want to win, you
go to the Browns instead of the Patriots. Like that's
a statement from two thousand through twenty twenty three.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
You're like, what are you in? Said? What the hell
is wrong with you? No, but it's true.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
Now, if you want to win, you go to the
Browns and not the Patriots.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
Not because.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
But you still have it, but you have a much
better team with a great deft bottom. Yeah, and and
I'll look at Hub's returning. Yeah, you've got a lot there.
And it's not like you don't have options at quarterback.
You know they're gonna make sure you know. Look, they
came in and say, Okay, if something has it to Shawn,
Joe not there anymore, you can pull.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
The trigger on him.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
You're talking about a much better football team, a team
that won let with horrible quarterback play and then they
got Joe Flacco. They dusted them up. They started four
guys last year and the Browns still won. Like this
is I mean, that's unbelievable. You think about that, that's like,
that's real coach of the year. So how do you
win with four quarterbacks? How do you have that kind
of a seat defense? And remember you lost Chubb at started.
(09:45):
I mean you lost, you lost your counter back together,
and you lost your best offensive player. The Browns are loaded.
The Browns are loaded. The Patriots. This is where you
want to go. The Patriots have no idea who their
starting quarterback is going to be. You I have no
idea if Drake May is any good. Look, I told
her from the beginning. The Patriots felt they got push
into taking Drake May, like we're drafting third overall. The
(10:09):
first two guys got drafted.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
Uh, okay, we'll take a quarterback because we're drafting number three,
and who knows him.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
That's gonna happen again. Right now, Drake May is not
close to the starting job Jacoby Brissett as the starter.
You're hearing Joe Milton, you know his name.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Throw We liked him as a late round sleeper, a
big arm, right situation, right coaching staff, et cetera.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
That's a little that's a little much, I think to say,
all of a sudden, O, Joe Milton's But you have
other guys in the mix. You're not hearing Drake May's name,
and you don't know if he's really gonna be any good.
So if you're ayuk, you're gonna go somewhere you can say, Okay,
I'm gonna spend the prime, the last of the prime
years of my career when I'm putting my ball. I'm
gonna get paid either place, but I'm putting my body
on the line, and iowa because all football players want
(10:52):
to win, regardless of what you think about it, all
football they want to get paid and they all want
to win.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
Could you put your body, should you get to be
the missing piece? Right when it becomes a hey, this
was what put us over, because that's what this Ayuk
move would be. Right if Cleveland goes on to do
great things. Now again, it means there's consistency at QB,
and I'll believe that when I see it. But for
the sake of this argument, let's let's do it that.
If they do win, it's gonna be a lot about Ayuk,
(11:18):
because who the hell's given a lot of credit to
de Shan Watson.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Yeah, no, nobody is. But you're gonna shy away from that.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
So so if you're Ayuk, not only do you win,
but you're the guy that was seen as the missing piece.
So the ego, uh ego gets even larger because you
got the big dollars to say you were wanted and
you were the missing piece to a team that went
on a run.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Yeah, and and for all, like I said, he's getting
paid either place.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
So you want to win.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
Like I said of NFL, what they put their bodies through,
you can't say they go out every Sunday and don't
want to win. It's why players can't tank, It's why
they all go out there and they all bust their
ass to try to win because that's what you that's
what you that's what football players do. That's why everybody
loves the NFL so much. Right, one of those things
you don't really think about, but kind of it just
kind of floats around.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
Oh yeah, okay, I get the.
Speaker 4 (12:02):
Bigger thing is that you gotta put on good tape
so you can get another contract because they're guaranteed.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
But right, if you're gonna go someplace and you think, Okay,
what's my best place to win in the next three years.
I don't mean if five the next three years, who's
got there to The Patriots are bleeping starting over. Man,
they're gonna be looking up at the Jets and the
Bills and the Dolphins. You don't know how the quarterback
petition is going to go. You don't know what kind
of head coach you have. You think maybe you have
(12:28):
a good head coach, but I have no idea. I
know you're going to a great head coach. With the
Browns are great head coach. But all the stuff with
the Browns and the choosing of Deshaun Watson, throw that
to the side. I know what you're getting in Cleveland.
You are getting a phenomenal head coach in Stefanski. You
are getting a phenomenal team. You're getting a team that
has figured out away. Hey, we segued away from Baker Mayfield.
(12:49):
We've gotten horrible play from a guy we guaranteed two
hundred and fifty million dollars. Too, We're still winning football games.
That's where I want to go. If those are the choices,
it's Cleveland over I never thought i'd say that, and
for twenty years I'd have sounded like an idiot, But
now I sound like the smartest guy in the world.
You are taking Cleveland over New England.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Nah, this this.
Speaker 4 (13:09):
One becomes a hey, captain obvious unless you just want
to be linked to Tom Brady of you're playing for
a team he wants played four.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Oh no, maybe maybe they'll con that would be the
only thing. No, Brady's still the quarterback here. They have
like one of those cutouts of him, like with a
sub Why does he have a subway sandwich? No, that's Tom.
That's Tom right there. He's fine, that's Tom. He's gonna
play a little bit. Watch watch him throw, Like they
pull back the arm on the on the sandwich cut
and push the ball out.
Speaker 5 (13:34):
You go.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
No, he's still the guy. Don't wry about it.
Speaker 4 (13:36):
Will be curious is to see what the gap was
with Pittsburgh because that's a team that I'm I'm mighty
intrigued about. The quarterback position still a giant question Mark
might as well have the Riddler suit on that and
in Cleveland.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
But the rest of the roster pretty strong. But it's
for Ayuk.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
Yeah, in terms of making that choice, if the choice
is legitimately yours, it's a no brainer.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
Again, we'll have more on this story come up again.
The framework in place for a trade from Brandon Ayuk
to both the Browns and the four and the New
Eland Patriots. And now it's up to Ayuk if this
is a trade he wants. And we'll continue to follow
the story as the night goes on.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
How many times do you think Tysher would have hit
the Cleveland button? Oh?
Speaker 3 (14:16):
One thousand?
Speaker 1 (14:16):
Luckily Mary mackfilling in tonight, I we would be hearing
running up that hill because.
Speaker 3 (14:20):

Speaker 3 (16:00):
I told you it's okay. It gives me the chance
to say this.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
Thirty nine years ago, Kate Bush put this song out
and nobody knew what the hell it was until some
producer on Stranger Things probably just said, this song means.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
So much to me.
Speaker 6 (16:15):
I listened it so much to ninety eight five. This
needs to be the song that Sandy sing listens to.
And it's a song it's like a talisman for de
tends to be the song. Please, if you could do
one thing for me, because this Kate was goting through.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
So much in my let so now we have this instead.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
It peaked at number three on the UK Singles chart. Yeah,
what about the United States? About the United States? Where's
the United States? Where was it even make it? Nobody
even knew the song existed. Let's see, nobody knew what existed.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
And now she makes like two million dollars a year
off ten just because they used it in strange things.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
UK Singles third, US Billboard Hot one, one hundred and thirtieth,
thirty Dance Club Songs, thirteenth, and in West Germany it
was third.
Speaker 3 (17:01):
Ireland it was fourth, So that's how long ago it
was West Germany. That's exactly. Australia was sixth.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
It didn't even make him when Casey Kseer the countdown
never even made it. Now counting down the top twenty
songs in the United States of America, Well, I mean
he did forty, right, he was America's top forty wasn't
American top? Yeah, but he would count down the top okay,
counting down from forty to one.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
Yeah, no, was he doing that's still in eight well okay, eighties, sure.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Because he was to Okay, so he was still doing
forty in the eighties and it got to twenty later.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
Okay, all right, I'm with you.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
On that. Okay, so it aired it once. Hey, here's
a song you'll probably never hear again. It's Kate Bush.
We're running on a hill.
Speaker 3 (17:42):
Here we go.
Speaker 4 (17:44):
We're going running on it. You're insane. Well, we're so angry.
We'll have more than a few minutes coming up on
the big story out of the NFL. According to Mary
Kay Cabot, other NFL outlets, the Browns and the pay
Triots are working on framework of deals with the forty
nine Ers for Deebo Samuel. According to sources, the forty
(18:07):
nine Ers have a framework in place with both of
these teams trade and now it's up to Brandon Yu
to decide do you want to take one of these deals?
Speaker 3 (18:15):
Is one of these places where you want to go?
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Most likely it would involve a contract extension where some
kind of money for him, the players going back, and
what the actual trade return would be is unknown, but
we know the framework for the deal with both of
those teams in place. I would say this, at least
from the report from Mary Cake Habitt in terms of
the actual personnel that can help you today, New England's
(18:38):
got nothing on the roster and they've got a couple
of guys, I like, but I don't.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
Love what have we even Drake May, didn't you just
draft me?
Speaker 4 (18:45):
Yeah? Yeah, yeah, Well we don't know if that's gonna work.
Come on, even was your third pick? Trade lance was
what's the third pick?
Speaker 3 (18:53):
No?
Speaker 1 (18:53):
No, Now, the one thing before you get into the Olympics. Yeah,
the one thing to think about is this is that
it was such This is such a disaster for the
Steelers because for the last five months it's been well,
we're going to get him, like it's a fade of
complete we're gonna get it.
Speaker 4 (19:07):
We're gonna from the organization, We're gonna get all the jackasses.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
But the Steelers, No, the Steelers were in it all
the way until today until they said, oh the Niners
wanted too much, likely because they knew the Steelers wanted him.
There's a reason he was linked to the Steelers for
the longest time.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
Game.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
But it's a disaster because not only are you not
getting him, but you could allow him to go to
your division rival, and that that is a disaster.
Speaker 4 (19:33):
But that's the sting and that's where I need real
sources and real groundbreaking work to figure out where that
gap is. Are we talking waffer thin or was it
you know, something far more a bigger chasm as it were,
because if you you did botch it over just you know,
for spite.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
The Steelers wanted to add Russell Wilson, and the Niners
said no, no, no no. But if you we're doing
this trade, you gotta techn you're holding out to get it.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
And then all of a sudden you get towards the
seasons like, well, why don't we raise our hand and
get into the mix.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
All it takes is a phone call. It's like anything
in life.
Speaker 4 (20:10):
Hey make the call. The worst anybody can tell you
is no, this is true. I'm truy, but that's one
to grow up. But it's been going for so long,
and you know they were in it, that this is
this is a disabilent. Well now they're gonna get We
were in old position for him, and now we're gonna
watch using Tom now.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
That with the quarterback, and now you let him go.
Now now you let them do your vision rival.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
That's like, that's like okay, knowing that they say there's
a girl you really like, Yeah, this is a girl
you really like, and you know that she's gonna break
up with her boyfriend. You know, it's like, listen, this
is not going well. He's not a good dude. He's out,
you know, he's out. He's skipping classes, he's smoking cigarettes.
I don't mean faping, no's he's the real.
Speaker 4 (20:50):
What you're circle at the Vulture, he's at the Marlborough
Red Pack. He's this is tough man's It's like, you know,
my family.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
This is this is this is like the Dennis Leary.
I can invent cigarettes.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
Put him in a black pack with a skull and
crossbows on him, call them tumors.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
And people are.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Still gonna want to smoke, right they are. Uh, you know,
she's gonna break it. Listen to this guy's bad news. Yeah,
she liked him for a while. He's good looking dude,
he was buddy. You know, hey he's got the cool
denim jacket. He's got the Slayer design on the back.
But you know she's gonna break up with them, and
and you know, hey, hey she's gonna date me.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
You really just she's gonna date back in time, had
the Slayer. She's gonna date me.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
We're talking from patal experienced Slay the kid now had
the Slayer.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
Hella weights Hello, weights oh, yeah, they're gonna break up.
They're gonna break up.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
They're gonna break up, but she's gonna want to date
me because I'm different. She's told me, hey, I just
got to find a way to move on from him,
and yes, you're you know, yes, I really think, well,
I really there's a lot to happen with us, and
I really have a great Uh. I'm back and forth
with you, and I think we have a lot of
chemistry and it's gonna work.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
Okay, that's great.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
And then some other jackass you're not even friends with
because up and goes, hey, so, yeah, you're going to date.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
Give me a name, Give me a name. J Clara, No, Clara, Okay, Clara.
I like it, Thanks Mary. What are you mad that?
You know? That's fine. I didn't know this was the
West Frontier of eighteen hundred. Clara. That's so judgy, so judgy.
Speaker 4 (22:20):
Oh my gosh, Hey, hey, you're gonna date Clara, and
I go, look, you're reading Little Women's High.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
I'm never gonna help. Wait a minute, Joe's getting pretty sick.
Speaker 4 (22:31):
Uh, Bob Odenkirk, you know what happened, Joey. So so
there's so there's a hey, you jerk out it.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
Yeah, but you know she's not gonna date you. She's
gonna date me.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
Oh yeah, we'll see about that. And that dude leaves
you like that. That guy's a jerk man. I can't
stand that guy. And then finally she breaks up with.
Speaker 4 (22:51):
The guy with the denim jacket guy right that that
wasn't working too many cigarette like slayer. Yeah, no, it
wasn't going to Yeah, I was going to school. His
car wasn't working.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
Anymore, got hard work.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
I didn't ad the money because no, the Mustang wasn't working.
It wasn't gonna be a dog. I can't can't pick
me up anymore. I could just start singing. One bourbon
that's got tape deck. One tape deck is broken, you know,
lean it against the post.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
He had a Benzie box, but someone stole it right
out because he didn't have the club on his car,
so someone broke right in and took it.
Speaker 3 (23:24):
It's gonna have one break it up. He got the
club in.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
Clara's breaking up breaking up with him, and you're like, okay, hey,
so Claire, we're gonna date.
Speaker 4 (23:31):
And she says, yeah, here's the thing I think I
like that other dude. They came up and went, you're
not gonna date it.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
I don't know. I kind of like him.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
He's interesting. What that guy's a jerk? I got you,
kidd He's my main rival, like everything I do. He
comes up there, he goes, no, you can't date him,
and she goes, no. I think I am. He's got
something about him. He's got some sort of swerve, he's
got Oh, he's he's fierce. I'm gonna go We're gonna
go dating now. I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
I know it felt like we were going to date
for a long time, but now I'm gonna go dad him.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
He goes.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
And they walk away together. That's what's gonna happen. If
Brandon I goes to the Browns. Wow, we got all
the way there.
Speaker 4 (24:13):
You know, swerve Stricklin's gonna fight in the A. E. W.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
Thompson, Yeah, yeah, exactly. I like your analogy. That's good.
That's what it is.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
Man's that's because you were the disaster and not swoop
in while they were still however tenuous, however tenuously attached,
still together, that you got scooped.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
It would it would.
Speaker 4 (24:38):
That's that's how that's why when you hear it like that,
you understand, Oh, boy, the Steelers look But here's the thing.
This would make the Browns look that much savvier. And
again they're the They're the team that signed to Sean Watson.
So it kind of flies in the face of being crafty.
Doesn't mean that there's not a good team and a
lot that went right.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
Maybe the makes up for the Deshaun Watson.
Speaker 4 (25:01):
It couldn't bring balance to the force because you know,
it's like, hey, can we forget about the fact that boy,
you gave the kind of money to that guy who
was a bad guy.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
Can we just contry that he gave the guy all
that money and he is stunk out loud since he's
been Joe, he's been terrible. He gave him all that
money guaranteed of all that money. If we do this,
I uk trade. No one's gonna pay attention to that. Okay,
all right, I.
Speaker 4 (25:22):
Now feel like, well I'll say it for the rest
of time and anytime we go to a scenario and
a hypothetical that involves potential dating and the faux pause
they're in, Clara has to be the name Clara.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
Now, Clara's pretty good I'm picturing Clara like in the
big long dress and the and the kind of the
white hat, and she's got the shotgun because she's protecting
her family and the ranch because you know, the bad
ranchers would come like in the early eighteen hundred trying
to steal sheep and stuff like that, and she's out
there tough with the gun, going, eh, you can take
it alf my live stock over my dead body.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
Oh, Clara's kind of see.
Speaker 4 (25:59):
I was thinking of. So we can run around second
master of that. Hello again everyone, this is how would coachy?
Speaker 3 (26:07):
Did you like the jelical ball thing? I said you earlier.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
Stop selling me, Stop sending me trying to get you
on Broadway, HD.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
Come on, you can watch it.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
Links to cats stuff. Stop sending me links to cat stuff.
I just wanted to.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
Leave Joe class week. I know we had a gentle
Johnny and no it should have been the end. No,
it's the end of that Jella, Clara, Clara.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
You know it's kind of funny, Mary, you say Clara,
because you know the forty nine ers play in Santa.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
Bro I don't do this, man, No, Sara.
Speaker 1 (26:43):
No, no, no, okay, you said Clara. I said It's
funny because the forty nine ers actually playing Santa.
Speaker 4 (26:49):
It would be it was Clara, right, yes, okay, yeah,
that's why you just say.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
Clara like you knew that. You know, I was at
that stadium just a couple of weeks ago. Yeah, Santa
Clara Joe. So it's actually fun.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
To use Santa Clarita.
Speaker 4 (27:03):
Playing Santa Clarita. Just little Santa Clara and TJ. If
you're hungry, don't forget. The Santa Clarita diet is out
there for you, although that involves if you're if you're
a zombie and you need to eat vampires, No, no,
they were.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
They were more zombies, ay, and at Chippopo's way too
many times, and and Drew Barrymore ate some kind of
whatever it was, and she had to eat people, but
you only ate bad people. I didn't watch the last season.
Maybe she ate good people out of it, but she
ate bad people in that TV show.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
Oh yeah, she's kind of like venom He.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
Except without the voice. Except the voice is actually Timothy Oliphant.
Were honestly just real quick aside. My favorite part of
Santa Clarida diet was because they were both realtors. And
Timothy Oliphant just would always say, well, I'm a real ittor,
which is it's a weird way. And like Joel McHale
was his main rival on the show and he was
also a realtor and Joe and I think he had
(27:56):
lived it and they kept it in because it's the
whole because anytimes listen, I'm a realtor and this is
what we do it. Joe mckall would say, yeah, I
don't know what you do if we're a living but
I'm a realtor. Like you can call you a realtor.
We tell your real Yeah, realtor doesn't really sound right.
Speaker 3 (28:08):
There's no a.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
It's just it's a realtor r E A L t
O R. It's not realtor. Realtor would be R E
L A t R realator, really realtor. So Santa Clara.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
Not Sammy. Let me go get on miss, He'll tell
you how to do it.
Speaker 4 (28:24):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
Time now to find out what's trending in the wide
world of sports. Now hopefully you understand what a disaster
this is for the Pittsburgh Steelers. We talked to a
guy who in high school was that guy in the
denim jacket, smoking cigarette now slay jacket, sorry, smoking cigarettes
chargers jacket.
Speaker 7 (28:41):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (28:41):
Just every girl that walked by, going hey, you want
to go see Fouts and join her this weekend?
Speaker 3 (28:45):
I got tickets.
Speaker 7 (28:46):
I get When I heard your realtor realtor, it reminded
of the people who referred to nuclear as nuclear nucular.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
Oh sure sure.
Speaker 7 (28:56):
And just for the record, Clara Barton did start the
America and Red Cross, did she not?
Speaker 4 (29:01):
So?
Speaker 1 (29:01):
I think so? And Clara bow was somebody too, yeah,
old actress. Okay, all right?
Speaker 3 (29:06):
What about from the Where's the Beef?
Speaker 4 (29:08):
TV?
Speaker 3 (29:08):
Commercial? Clara Klara Peller there beef? Sure she was driving
the car.
Speaker 7 (29:12):
Yeah, there's a modern person. Of course, she was like
one hundred and.
Speaker 3 (29:14):
Two when she was.
Speaker 4 (29:19):
Old.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
And him just picturing the Seger taller than everybody else,
like just outside of the school with the cigarettes were
walking by, taller than everybody else, walking by and going
hey you sure, Yeah, I'm going to see Van haleon
this weekend.
Speaker 4 (29:32):
They have a new lead singer to Sega's going, yeah
the way you described me. But I got to to
see Louie Kelcher. You want to go, you want some stats?
I got some charge of stats for you. Actually, I
was busy becoming a real at her you.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
Know, uh, you know.
Speaker 4 (29:46):
And they got Jefferson That changed everything for Dan Foutz's career.
Speaker 7 (29:50):
She didn't want to And then when they traded Jefferson,
of course, sure, you.
Speaker 3 (29:54):
Don't want to go see a game. Yeah, they pulled
off the hooking ladder last week. You want to go
see that.
Speaker 7 (30:00):
Actually the Dolphins did that against the Chargers. But thank you.
Speaker 4 (30:04):
Wow, let's start with the NFL. You want me to
take it to go see are Corioel? Who's that weird
guy with the Chargers leather jacket that keeps asking me things?
Speaker 3 (30:19):
It lights up?
Speaker 7 (30:19):
Do you not remember this Tony Nathan playoff game Dolphins?
One of the GREATESTFC playoff games.
Speaker 3 (30:25):
It was the last play of the first half or
something when.
Speaker 7 (30:27):
They scored twenty four to nothing lead blown. That will
never happen again in Chargers history.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
Oh no, no, no, no, never blow a game like that
again in the state of Florida. Never.
Speaker 4 (30:35):
No.
Speaker 1 (30:36):
That was Kellen Winslow's last game, wasn't it. He got
carted off the field. Who's like waving to the guy
so I could block your ass all day? Like you
I think that was his last game in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
Blocked a field goal. He was very good. Now, yeah,
Chargers will never be after that day. They will never
blow a game.
Speaker 7 (30:50):
They went straight from that game in a thousand degrees
to minus a thousand with the Bengals the next week
in the AFC Championship.
Speaker 4 (30:58):
You know, Kellen Winslow is in the Hall of very
good Ouch.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
Oh no, that game was against the Raiders when he
got hurt. He didn't get hurt and that you're right,
you're right.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
He thought it was the Jason Cole joke.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
No, no, no, he was actually I remember he was actually
had a touchdown in the game against the Bengals.
Speaker 4 (31:12):
Is there only score? I think it's twenty seven to seven, Yeah,
he's there only score.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
I don't know. The whole game is frozen. The freezer bowl.
That's the offense was.
Speaker 7 (31:20):
I had a boss in radio once who was literally
at that game, and he said he brought a container
of coffee because you know, he was gonna need it
at minus fifty eight degrees or whatever.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
It was in Cinci that day.
Speaker 7 (31:31):
He poured the cup of coffee, he put the top
back on the thermos and there was also a layer
of thin ice on top of his coffee by the
time she went to drink it.
Speaker 4 (31:41):
You know, yesterday was Donald Gibbs's birthday, and you know
what he'd be saying right now.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
That's right, We're revenge of the Nerds.
Speaker 7 (31:50):
The potential forty nine ers news tonight, and you mentioned
the Mary kay Cabot report again. She has worked in
Cleveland for many years. She's saying the Browns would be
in a position to add branded Ayuk if wide receiver
Amari Cooper were sent to the forty nine ers as
part of a deal with the forty nine Ers. According
to Matt Miako NBC Sports Bay Area, he's covered the
Niners thirty years. He says the team has negotiated the
(32:13):
framework of trades that would send the wide receiver Ayuk
to either Cleveland or New England, and it's now up
to Ayuk to determine if he will accept the contract
terms from either of those franchises. The forty nine Ers
signed running back Matt Brida. Lions tight and Sam Laporta
miss practice today with a toe injury. Brown's edge rushers
(32:33):
Zadarius Smith was carted off with a bruce knee Seahawks
quarterback Gino Smith returned to practice after missing four straight.
Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson could be cleared to practice this
week after the cafe injury. The Chiefs gave kicker Harrison
but Ger a four year extension. Sim Owned Biles took
the silver medal and the floor exercise final in Paris
to Major League Baseball. Tonight, there are two late games.
(32:55):
The Dodgers lead for two over the Phillies in the
bottom of the fifth got the four runs the first
four innings of Aaron Nola, who is still in there,
and the A's are leading the White Sox for to
one in the top of the eighth inning. The White
Sox have lost twenty games in a row. The American
League record is twenty one straight, set by the nineteen
eighty eight Orioles who started a season oh and twenty
(33:17):
one ten inning wins for Arizona and Texas Minnesota.
Speaker 3 (33:21):
When it's fifth straight. Back to you, Thank you, Steve.
Speaker 1 (33:23):

we'll get back into the big NFL story, big potential
NFL trade and coming up in about ten minutes. But
the last twenty four hours look There's been two incredibly
(34:36):
large stories out of the Olympics. One has been some
owned biles, who we'll get to next hour. But the
aftermath of the Noah Lyles race, in which he proved
to be the fastest man in the world. All away
from anybody trying to argue differently, it's math. By five
one hundred million billions of a second.
Speaker 3 (34:55):
He is able to win.
Speaker 1 (34:57):
And it was weird went when it happened, because you
look at it and I'm watching with the naked and
I'm going he coming forth like he could have come.
Speaker 4 (35:06):
Everybody looked up at the board, like what the hell
just happened? Everybody was at the line, and we didn't
find out until the end. This is what look NBC
needed to do a better job of telling us, this
is why Noah Liles won. But eventually they go back
to Mike Tariku, who says, listen, it's when your torso
passes the finish line that you win the race. Oh okay,
And then I think a lot of people thought, all right, well,
(35:27):
that's kind of weird because obviously Thompson's foot hit the
line first, all right. And then early this morning the
overhead picture was put out of the of the moment
that Lyle's.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
Torso touched the line, and you can see Thompson's foot
is entirely over the line at that point, and also
Curley's foot is also ahead of Noah Liiles while he
was going, Hey.
Speaker 3 (35:54):
Mo, look at this.
Speaker 1 (35:56):
Uh so, I'll give you this big bull prediction. This
is this is a thing now because especially when it
involves someone from the United States winning. Right, It's like
when I say, in baseball, when something happens involved in
the Yankees, we get a rule change, or something happens.
If something happens involving the Cowboys in the NFL, we
get a rule change. Something happens, Noah Lyles wins fastest
man in the world and he gets to troll the
(36:16):
United States basketball team about it. When something good happens
for the United States, we get change. And it's such
a The overhead angle is such a bad optic where
it now you look at it and go, yeah, he
was the winner, but he didn't really win the race.
Speaker 4 (36:34):
Well, it's the win for like, here's the letter of
the law versus spirit of the law.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
A kind of situation, right noo.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
And they always teach you, hey, you have to break
the tape, lean with your torso and break the tape,
and that's how you win the race. But I'll tell
you this, I'll give you this big bull prediction. After this,
you are going to see a big international change. They're
gonna go all the way to computers they do and
everything else, and they're gonna say the winner of a
race is now the person who is the first person
(37:01):
has any part of their body break the plane and
break the finish line. Because this is kind of embarrassing
that it wasn't like this guy's whole foot and part
of his bottom of his leg. Thomas's leg was over
the line before Noah Lyles put his tors on, Like okay,
that's I understand the torso part, breaking the tape and on.
But he didn't really win the race like he wasn't
(37:22):
he wasn't over the line fastest. He just happened to
win because of the rule, when honestly, the better rule is, well,
if you're the first person, whatever part of your body
goes across, it hits the line first. So I will
think I'm gonna tell you that sometime after the Olympics,
there'll be some kind of discussion international track and field
if will talk about it, and then who knows when
Nell set it up for. But it's gonna be okay.
(37:44):
The winner of the race is now the first person
to have any part of their body break break that plane.
If it's their foot, you're the winner. If it's the
tors so you and people.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
Can still lean over and try to do it. You
never know how it's gonna go.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
But that's gonna be a rule change because you're talking
about the biggest race, one of the fourth fastest time
in the one hundred meter dash ever, and you can
say the wrong guy won because yeah, look, I love
that Noah Lyles won. I love that he fun. I
love that he's got like the laurel. His hair is
like a laurel, like an Olympic laurel.
Speaker 4 (38:15):
That's awesome, But really it's okay, did he really win
the race or was he just the guy to break
the finish line? With the rules, so, I bet you
you're gonna have a rule change sometime in the next
few months after the Olympic.
Speaker 3 (38:26):
That's thing.
Speaker 4 (38:26):
Then you played it the rule right, and you do
that in all sports, and certainly there are plenty of
other sports. We've watched along the way, you know, the
ones that we don't pay attention to the other four
years the same thing. It's like, well, why is this
a rule? Why is this an interpreting and this like
everybody knows the rules of engagement and you have this
and the fact that you bring it up that it's
(38:47):
a US participant might get folks to action. But just
in general where we're debating a gold medal is probably
enough to that point, right, because normally we don't have
every participant within a second or point eight seconds or
whatever the last place guy was. I mean, it was
(39:09):
really just a mass of humanity coming to the finish line.
I think I agree that, yeah, the foot's over, you're done, right.
It's like you go to a photo finish in a
horse race, because look, in the end, it's still who's fastest,
who gets to the finish line first. But the fact
that it's always been the torso's got to go through, Okay,
(39:30):
that that's fine in this case, that that you take
the victory, take your gold medal. They can't they can't
take it away from you. But going forward, I would
think you would evaluate it because logic would dictate, I mean,
not right, his whole foot and I see that and
the power of that photo. The last Olympic photo I
remember having that powered me was the one when Michael Phelps,
(39:51):
who won like his seventh gold medal. There was the
question did he get to the right decide? And that
that under the water photo of him clearly getting his
hands on there before the the other guy did, like
just before, like, oh, Michael Phelps clearly won this race, right,
you can see it, like that's how powerful this photo
would He's like, whoa underwater photography? Like when they're doing Jaws?
What was that that was underneath the pool?
Speaker 1 (40:11):
The pool is too shallow. They can't can't get a
lot of photography going. It's like a three foot pool.
You have a guy laying on the bottom of a pool.
Speaker 3 (40:18):
He hey, right over me. I could reach up in
high five Katie Lendeckis, she's good.
Speaker 4 (40:23):
Swimming by me. Whatever it's gonna take, man. So I'll
tell you in the next six.
Speaker 3 (40:28):
Months they will make a change of that rule. It'll
make a great discussion point.
Speaker 4 (40:31):
I mean, because certainly a lot of folks taking umbrage
because they don't like him.
Speaker 1 (40:37):
Exit at about a Fresca exit swollen Dome coming up next.
If this big NFL trade goes through, do we have
a new favorite for the Super Bowl in the NFC
