knob off. So, before we get into the biggest topic
of the last couple of days, clearly, what's happening right now?
Final game of the night in the NBA Playoffs Houston
(01:11):
and the Warriors thirty nine, thirty eight. The Rockets just
took the lead of a big Fred Van Vliet shot.
So this is a game now in which absolutely the
Rockets need this to stay in the series. And things
are already getting chippy. Steph gets tripped up a little bit.
There's a couple of hard screen set. There's a little
(01:32):
bit of a brew haha on the court. Of course,
it involves Dylan Brooks and Draymond Green their magnets, and
basically it shook out like this, advantage Rockets because Dylan
Brooks got a tea and Steph and Draymond got a tea.
So okay, advantage Rockets will one tea on me, two
tea's on you, guys. All right, we win. We we
come out of that pretty looking, pretty good.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
Steph get absolutely obliterated by Dylan Brooks and was rightfully
a little ticked off.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Was he falls out, He holds up to it, He's
saying two in the ball like.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Fa to but yeah, I mean, Draymond sets a really
hard screen and then immediately thereafter, immediately thereafter, Brooks wipes
out staffery and everybody gets together and comberheads prevail eventually
to get back to basketball.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
But you have that little flash point moment and here
we go. All right, I really just okay, this is
you know what Dylan Brooks and and Draymond Dylan Brooks
and Draymond Green is like you know when there's a
big hockey game and there's the two big in fire. Yeah,
you know they're gonna fight, right, we have to fight, right,
Matt Renby, whoever you know, we're gonna fight. We have
to fight. Okay, just when are we gonna do it?
(02:46):
Like you know with Brooks and Dre, something's going to happen.
It's just what it is gonna Is it gonna happen
right off the opening tip? Is it gonna happen in
the second quarter? Is it gonna happen in the third quarter?
When you know it's gonna happen?
Speaker 3 (02:55):
But now we are it's over. I can't anticipate, But
is it really over? Is it really for this game?
Speaker 1 (03:03):
If the Rockets start getting drilled in this game and
say they were down three to one, suddenly something could happen.
Let yeah, I don't don't don't think that's not gonna happen.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
All right, Well, what are you thinking of this Golden
gate Bridge court overlay here.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
I don't mind the Golden gate Bridge court over like.
I mean it looks nice because I'm used to all
the crazy courts now, I'm kind of used to it now.
With the the NBA, the I the nd season tournament.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
Surprise, they haven't gone to disco lights underneath there to
where it's like changing patterns like the what was that
Memory game? Oh, Simon say, yeah, I'm surprised we haven't
gone to that.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
No, like the fourth quarter, before you get to that,
it's gonna be the players running and it will light up.
Would they step on the court, like, it'll be a
blue light over here and yellow lights.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
When you like yellow Jackson, you know in the what
was that the Billy Jean video?
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Yeah, no, it would be good because you'll be able
to tell who's behind the three point line, like, hey,
behind the three point line to court it's blue, and
then inside that it's it's gold or it's yellow, like
you go with the colors for for the worst. So
if you know, if you take that jumper and it's okay,
it's blue, you know that's a three.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
But if it's a yell, you know, your foot's on
the line, because that's where the technology and stuff like
the yellow first down line.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
I like that. All right, Now I can solve the
biggest debate going on in the world in the last
few days. I can solve it. I got which one
is that? Because there was another one that popped up
today solved one hundred men versus a gorilla? Oh no,
that's a good way. I just I just sent you
to the simulation. Yes, no, I can solve it. Look,
this is the biggest set everybody. It's kind of a
(04:40):
big deal. It's become the new what color is the dress? Right,
It's become the new colors of the dress? Uh. A
big debate on social media the last days came out there.
Who could win in a fight if you have one
hundred men fighting against one gorilla? Now it's the stupidest
thing ever. Well, because I could see answer the gorilla. No, no,
you know, I see ID only. And here's why, even
(05:02):
if it's a big one of those silver back gouerrillas,
that that like the strength of one of those is
worked like the strength of is it the one that
worked with the rock in rampage? Man? Oh yeah, I
mean yeah, those I mean, silver bac gouerrillas are no joke,
man like those are like, oh my goodness. But here's
the thing. Oh, one hundred men and a silver bacerrilla.
All right, now, let's understand that if this is going on,
(05:22):
the gorilla is fighting for its life and fighting to
kill people. Okay, right, it's gonna it's gonna clean house.
You showed me some sort of crazy.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
Computer computer generation and what would happen wet him like
it was one at a time.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
You can't do that. The gorilla, this is, this is
not kill Bill in the crazy eighty eight wow, eighty
eight people, but she was able to kill eighty eight
people and then the girl with the things. So the sill,
the silver bacarilla, let's say its silver bacrella is fighting
for its life. Now you've one hundred people, okay, is
this one hundred people that are just taking it random
and thrown in this enclosed area with this gorilla. Because
(05:59):
then I can see the cleaning house like kind of
like it would look like under the giant in one
of those battle he's pushing people out of like I
can see it going that way because because you have
a hundred people like you and I don't want to fight.
I want to try to find a way out, like
Hunger Games. I don't want to fight. I'm not gonna win.
I don't want Here's the thing. You go to hiding
the tree. Guess what? But yeah, I would just try
(06:20):
to kick it. But here's the thing. Now, if you're
in a fight or die situation, or it's a situation
where you have a hundred people who want to fight
right like they want to they know we're fighting, Like
you put a hundred soldiers in there, want to fight
the grill, or just one hundred people that want its
hand to hand combat. Yeah, no, no, that happens drones,
no simulation weapon. You know, you you if you're putting,
(06:44):
you're putting. You're putting the gorilla in the situation where
he's going to fight to the death. Right. Okay, So
now if you throw a hundred average people in there, yeah, sure,
because people are gonna back away and go I'm just
gonna kind of hang out and let the gorilla get tired.
He eventually he's gonna get tired. Maybe I can him
with the rock. So that's what I would do. I'm
not hiding. Throw a rock out of it. And he
gets really when he's sleeping and he gets really tired,
then I just headed. So that's the way I win.
(07:06):
But if you're talking about one hundred people that have
to fight to survive or people that want to fight,
all you do is send all hundred people at the
gorilla at once, and the sheer weight of everybody would
overwhelm and crush the gorilla, and the hundred people win.
But that's the key. It's got to be understand. Okay,
we're gonna go There's gonna be deaths, people are gonna die,
(07:28):
Mistakes are gonna be made, it's gonna happen. But overall,
one hundred, one hundred men will kill a gorilla. We'll
be able to subdue and kill that gorilla if.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
No one else could kill him. What watching a jet skin?
Oh yeah, yeahah yeah, yeah, my favorite too. They're bringing
in full circle to the game we're watching. The gorilla
has just watched Aaron Rodgers. So his third interception in
the first half, he has smashed a television set over
his head.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Could happen? Could happen? Okay?
Speaker 3 (07:53):
Yeah, certainly I like your theory. Just mass, I mean,
are we talking guys that are really fit, like ready
to go, like get to do in MMA training. They're
hanging out with our guy Jay Glazer and getting themselves ready.
It doesn't need to be Peepe Mayby c you guys,
it's gotta be no, it's it doesn't mean no. I'm
not saying that you gotta then you gotta stack the deck.
(08:13):
But you have to put in people that want to fight,
that want to fight, that understand its life or death
and understand having that mentality we're gonna fight this.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
So we get a hundred celebrities do this like they
want to go into space. For you think that's not
gonna be one of your computer simulated things where here's
a hundred celebrities against the gorilla and see what happens.
Could be fun. Look what happens to Clooney. Oh they
throw them all the way into Lake Como. Oh there
goes his head.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
Especially now that he's got that paint in his hair
for the Glengarry Glenn Ross. I'm sorry, No, he's doing
the other one. Conflating my Broadway stars.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
That's all. That's how, that's all. That's all. You just
gotta say, we're all going in as what Okay, one
hundred people. I'm sorry, but one hundred people gorilla weighs
was silver gilla weights like seven hundred something pounds something
like that. Okay, that's seven, that's seven people, not even
that's not even suff that's that's five people. Probably four
people that weigh as much as you over just all
run out of them at once. And again, yes, some
(09:11):
people are going to die. I'm not saying it's not.
They will get maimed, there will be cuts, people will
lose limbs, but overall, and those are the people you
just throw on top of the grill and push them
down with. But overall, the sheer size of everyone will
so chan kill the grill. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
But here's the thing that that gorilla is going to
be too fast because the you know, I've been doing
a lot of walking around the highways and byways of America.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
U we're hitting the under on the number.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Of people that get to the weight of the average gorilla.
You're you're not getting a lot of nor are you
getting a lot of great movement.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
But you have do they get to bring their scooter?
That's that's you're talking about to over two thousand pounds
worth of flesh on top of them.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
Yeah, that gorilla is still winning. But you know it
ties back to our game. We're back in another review
because we have another dust which if.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
You fight, if you try to fight the gorilla, if
you tay hey, we're gonna send the most that No,
then you're gonna lose. The humans are just gonna stop fighting.
We're done. We're not gonna fight. All right. So now me,
if I was doing I would try to pretend I was.
I would do the all, pretend I'm dead, like hide
(10:18):
under a body, wait for him to fall asleep, and
then the rock.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
And a hamburger. Getting back to the bashing of the rock.
This got an NBA senteled earlier. Really, yeah, so over
six hundred thousand views of this with a quote attributed to,
uh well, Draymond Green, who we're talking about here. Draymond
Green believes one hundred clones of him could take down
a gorilla. Quote, fifty of us are gonna talk crazy,
(10:43):
get in his head early and the other fifty Okay,
all NBA sentel.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
I kind of see what was it? It's more than
just rumors. It's what was the what was the big
one last year? Was it like like one hundred Jedi
warriors against like a like a thousand alien. Was that
what it was? It was like one hundred Jedi sounds
against one hundreds, and they did a whole thing, and
like it took a while, but the Jedi's lost. Yeah,
(11:10):
it took a while. They fun those right, of course
they are Aliens and Jedis.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Wait.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
I think it was fun, I just do. But it
was weird really, I know. It was like like a
hundred Jedi against like a thousand Aliens and it was
game for why. I said, Okay, they're gonna get him
here because they got the you know, they have the lightsaber.
They're gonnaut him when they come running at them. But
it took a while because you know, the Jedis like
to fight back to back. It's hard to get in there.
You're just gonna but it did. The Aliens didn't wind
(11:42):
up winning after a little while. But again again, so
these are these are one hundred Jedi. Look, this is
one gorilla versus one hundred guys. One hundred guys, it's
gonna you're gonna some people are gonna be able to
run at the gorilla from behind, okay, and be able
to get and be able to get him, and not
everyone's gonna do on top of them. He's gonna be
on the ground under thousands and thousands of pounds of
(12:03):
humanity and then he's gonna fight get out.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
You're gonna think it's over, and there's gonna be that
lull and everybody's gonna start hugging things in and it's like.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
This is there's leg No, this is not Hulk Hogan
getting out of a hold. When they hold his arm
up once twice and then the third one of me stops,
that's not gonna happen. It doesn't happen. I mean, it's
gonna be No.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
Look, man, one hundred guys that you think they're really
gonna work together.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
Hell no, you have to. You have no choice. It's
you have to be either you or the gorilla.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
You just have to be the guy that isn't slowest
because the grill is getting you first.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
But but that's the thing. If they all know we're
all gonna go at him at once, right, We're all
going at him at once. That's how we do it,
and we all go. Now, people back off like I
would back off and say yeah ready and said let
me wait, wait, wait, I got time. My shoe, get time,
my shoe go oh sorry, hey wait wait wait again,
and I hide somewhere and I pretend I'm dead. Then
I wait till he falls asleep.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Then I hit him with a rock.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
And then I he would hear you snoring the minute
his head gets in view, I headed with the rock.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
I did a preview for the show with the quote,
and you'll go out fighting all of them.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
That's what we're talking.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
About now, one versus one hundred at how about a
fresca at Swollen Dome?
Speaker 1 (13:20):
How would you attack said gorilla? There we go. That's
that's how you do it. That's how you do it,
which I think is a crime. No, that's how how
it goes. Exit. How about a fresca exit Swallen Dome.

one hundred men versus a gorilla. Yeah, you really had
your thoughts. Everybody attacks the gorilla. Gorilla's gonna kill a
lot of people, But then the girl is gonna get tired.
Girl's gonna fall asleep. I pretend I'm dead or I
run away. Then I come back and when he's sleeping,
I hit him in the head with a rock.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
You and your wall is seawan impression really impressing America.
Tonight is Eddy and the Globe on the iHeartRadio app.
But I gotta say I'd win the Hunger Games the
same way, like i'd the same wait a ala it
just wait it out. Yeah, you're my enjoy somebody's hungry.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
You'll fall desperate and then I'll hit you with a rock.
That's how I win the Hunger Game.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
Gotta find a rock, though, what if you're in an
environment where there it's been sterilized, you don't have anything.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
It could be used as a webbing. No, it's the
Hunger Games. It doesn't to use a weapon.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
Well, I mean, but are you popular enough that you're
gonna have a benefactor that suddenly drops something in your life?
Speaker 1 (16:22):
All I gotta do is find a rock. That's all
I gotta do. Just find a rock and hit somebody's
rocks everywhere.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
And then you pick up a rock and you say, hey,
there was a key to get out of here. The
whole time it was hidden in this rock.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Poor, he is in a rock less environment right now,
he's really screwed. Boy. Here comes that silverback gorilla and
wow is he just rag dolling him all across the
watching Jason Smith like a farmer John Hotdog.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
He's trying to attack the gorilla with his shoe. It
is a little wider because it is a new battle.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
He looks like he's trying to talk to the gorilla.
The gorilla doesn't want to listen. The gorilla is saying, Oh, yeah,
you're gonna me that fertilizer. I'll give you some fertilizer,
Jason Smith. And now the gorilla is wearing his orthonics,
doing all the hand gestures. The rocket d to one
limb and it's half a left arm. Boy, not gonna
(17:16):
get it done there. Boy. I'll tell you know what
the best left arm I ever saw was Sandy Kofax.
Let me tell you what happened. While we watched Jason
Smith bleed to death. Here in the middle of the forest,
Sandy Kofax came up. Was a young pitcher, befriended many
players on the Dodgers organization. Didn't break through early, but
some of his best friends were able to make sure
he was able to continue on. He had veterans taking
(17:39):
care of him, just like this silver back gorilla is
taking care of Jason Smith's head. Oh he's eating the
head in one pop. Looks a lot like John Bernthel
and the accountant to just having that lollipop and biting
off the top. Anyway, Kofax comes to his third spring
training the beautiful silver ahead of hair.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
Yeah splendent, Yeah yeah, you know, reminding you of the
mighty left arm and the power that rivaled anything that
a silver back gorilla could.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Come up with. That gorilla would use your Mets giar
as toilet paper. Ooh, maybe what if it was a
gorilla in Mets gear. No, gorilla's not stupid, like like,
come on, man, a gorilla like like if if the gorilla, okay,
if the gorilla was dressed like mister Met, who would
win mister Met versus a gorilla? Remember, mister Mets got
all that paddy the gorilla, Oh, the gorillas and pulling
(18:30):
the padding out entirely. Oh, kids, don't look at this.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
Mister Met have to announce children quickly.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
So maybe the gorilla has some mercy. Think of the children.
The gorilla would finish them off like secret Service one
and two years ago. The gorilla the gorillas grabbed mister
Met's head and thrown it woiuld like a discus throw
that's gonna land about eight hundred yards away. Oh and
the guy playing mister Met his head is in there
(18:58):
as well well. Kind of a two for one. Tell
you what the best double play I've seen? Last week,
I saw Lopes and Russell turn one that you wouldn't
believe happened, and Garvey told me about it after he
couldn't believe it. You know what what happens after you
tell that story?
Speaker 3 (19:16):
What typically surly Ron say, gets really mad at you
for leaving him out of that story. Ah, little la knowledge, folks.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
Jason Smith, Mike Harmon Live tonight. And so while we're
watched looking it's still a very chippy game between the
Rockets and the Warriors. We'll have more and the Steve
will have more in this game coming up in a
few minutes. And what's trending. The NBA is apology tour
continued today. We had the apology right after Game four
between the Nicks and the Pistons where they said, hey,
(19:46):
Tim Hardaway Junior was fouled by Josh Hart. Yeah, we
didn't see a call there, but upon further review, there
was contact. There should have been a foul that came fast.
The NBA wait to the day before telling the the Lakers, oh, hey,
sorry about that, but Luca got fouled when he was
bringing the ball across half court with about fifteen seconds
left in the game. He goes down and calls a
(20:09):
time out. This turns out to be the worst thing
for the Lakers because Lebron gets his inbounds past stolen,
Anthony Edwards hits the free throws, and the Wolves are
up three to one. The NBA said Luca was absolutely
fouled at that moment and he should have been at
the free throw line with a chance to give the
Lakers the lead with ten seconds left in the game.
So here's the NBA once again saying, hey, guys, no,
sorry about that.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
Can I give you the extra fallout of that extra
fallout because goggins with no nose. Yes, because eventually you
have the review of the foul that it gets called.
You know it's out of bounds play, and eventually it's
overturned and there's a foul on Lebron James sending Edwards
to the line.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
Spread was two and.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
A half t Wolves win by three. So so add
that later. And not only that, I love them this spread.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
The first things first, with the Knicks and the Piston,
you're gonna say, Jason, this is just because you're a
Knicks fan, But remember the Pistons are my second team.
But okay, maybe love it, but what the bit of
a gap. But there's a difference between the Lakers and
the Knicks because what the Lakers happened. It would have
been the Lakers on a play where Luca would have
been at the free throw line with a chance to
win it, where here's a foul that was committed in
(21:19):
the middle of the court. And for the Pistons, it
was we want you to bail us out on a
loose ball after we missed a fifteen footer that could
have won the game, right, And Kate Cunningham's got a
fifteen footer and and nobody on him, and he misses,
and then there's a scrum for the ball and there's
not a lot of contact. I can't believe all the
the up everybody's up and arms right aft one. Look
(21:40):
at that contact. Yeah, okay, he was in the air
and he did brush Hardaway's shoulder, But this was more
hard Away I think, trying to sell the call. This
is the way the game was being called. So yeah,
was there a tiny bit of contact, Yeah, but not
the overall. Oh look at that, you can just clob
him and send him into the seats. So the Lakers
are saying, hey, you know, you, you you. We've screwed
(22:01):
up our final play and now you had to give
us to us out of bounds. We turn it over
where he should have been the free throw line, where
the Pistons say, hey, we want you to bail us
out because we missed a shot. We couldn't corral the rebound.
Bail us out with Tim Hardaway throwing up a prayer
from the corner, Like it'd be different if Kay Cunningham
was driving to the hoop and he goes in for
a layup and he gets absolutely knocked off and he misses.
(22:21):
The Knicks get the layup and the game ends like
I got to be says hey, Kate Cunningham did what
he was supposed to do. He got he's gonna get
to the free throw line and shoot free throws. He
was going to do that, but he wasn't. This was
a loose ball in the corner. And again, Josh Hart,
who's a smart player, ridiculously stupid. Don't leave your feet.
We didn't even know what's going on at that point.
Tim hard let let him shoot. I would stand back
and go go ahead, Tim, go ahead. You got it, man,
(22:41):
go ahead, we get that shot up. So that was
a stupid play. But at the same but the same time, like, okay,
a little bit difference between those two plays between the Lakers.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
Yeah, I mean you have the eleven point lead that
you blew as well.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
Bail us out. Yeah, we want to bail us out.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
But the fact that we get a couple of games
that came down to the fire minute is a win
for us. The fact that they keep having to apologize bad,
the fact that the two minute report exists.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
I've said it all along.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
It's the dumbest thing in sports because you don't do
anything with it. You said, way, you get a piece
of letterhead and you send it going sorry, what.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
The hell does that do? Well?
Speaker 3 (23:20):
Hey, fans, fans, look, we got an apology.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
We lost the series.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
We might have been able to draw things even there,
but you know what, it put us down three to
one and that was the end.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
But you know what, the league apologized the hell well,
I'm glad you brought that up because I have a solution.
You do this. This is gonna be the silver back.
Speaker 3 (23:40):
Yes, you Forgivin Scully and Sandy Kofak saving.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
The day look how mad JB. Bickerstaff is. Now he's
gonna go bicker with his staff following this no foul call. Uh.
First of all, Jimmy Bickerstaff, Hey, way to use up
that challenge in the first quarter when it's ten eight. Right,
Way to use that child? Right, that's just dumb. Uh.
It's a good thing that the NBA has a two
(24:05):
minute report, right. It's a good thing because there is
some there's something to be said for, hey, we got
it wrong in a in a day and age where
you don't like to quite every time you a It's
like the officials in sports are like teenagers where no
matter what mistake they know they made, they're never gonna
admit it and they're just gonna say, well, the reason
we called this foul is because the left foot was here,
(24:27):
this was up here. They're always gonna make something up
because they're never gonna say, hey, we really really missed it.
So I like the two minute report because it comes
out and you can't dodge it. I get that, But
you want to be able to get these right in
the in the final two minutes of a game. You
want to be to get these right. I don't know
that the right thing, isn't something, isn't something along the
lines of an NBA team can get what you know, challenge.
(24:49):
But everybody gets a challenge in the final minute of
a game, right like the of a playoff game. If
you want to do the all day finally of a
playoff game or just regularly, that's fine too. You get
a challenge, you want to use it because the games
are too important. The final minute you want to get
right because that's because if you make a mistake in
the third quarter, okay, you have a quarter and a
half to get past those two points.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
Right.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
You see the ebb and flow of an NBA game.
But if you said, okay, no matter what, you're guaranteed
you are one challenge in the final minute. One challenge
in the final minute. I don't think is that big
a deal to go you doesn't even need to be
in the final two minutes. You get one challenge in
the final minute. Not everybody's gonna use it. But when
something like that happens, I want you to go back
and look at it.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
And at this point, and if we go to the
table fifteen times a game, anyway, he wants one more.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
And no one's gonna care at that point in the game.
If you're worried about the length of a game and
how long it is, I get that, But in the
final minute, when everybody's tuned in, it's a big deal.
You want to get that, right. So if you guarantee
you don't, no matter what, you have one challenge in
the final minute. You got to figure out where to
use it. Now that's still on you, but we're gonna
give you that. So you have that challenge, and I
think that would solve a lot of problems because then, hey,
(25:54):
we wouldn't have this apology. We would have Oh hey,
the Lakers will challenge that that call right there, because
that would have put Luca on the free throw line.
So now Luca hits his free throws, let's say hits
them both or ties the game. Hey, then the Twolves
have a chance to win the game or or or
or they lose the same thing with the Nicks and
the Pistons. It puts Hardaway Junior on the line and
he has a chance to hit the free throws. He's
(26:15):
an eighty five percent shooter, so he probably would have
made him both and they have a chance to win. Right.
So I'm eminently, okay with that, because you want it
to be right. And we've had this two minute report
now for so long. Yeah, so sorry, and this is
the game. They're like, yeah, there's five or six minutes left, okay,
two minutes to one minute. Fine, fine, you don't want
to do anything there, but the final minute. Give coaches
a chance, give them because the games are too important, right,
(26:37):
whether it's you know, doesn't need to be and and
you know, obviously the officials will look at anything out
of bounds. You don't have to worry about that. They'll
look at it. Where's the ball out of bounds. We're
gonna go look and make sure who it goes out
of bounds off of. But these foul plays, which are
stuff that the officials miss, if you can go back
and use that, even if you want to make it
even narrow it more and say you get one foul
challenge in the final minute of a game, right, everything
(26:59):
else the officials have we look at, but you get
one foul challenge either a foul that was called that
shouldn't be or a foul that that should have been
called that wasn't. If you get that, that would solve
so many problems again, we have zero controversy today, and
maybe that the Lakers are tied to too, and the
Pistons knicks are tied too, and I'm saying there's a
Nick fan. I'm telling you, I think that should go
that way.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
I gotta dig the fact that this becomes Also, how
many camera angles do you get to work on to
make your review, because there's certainly camera angles that look
like Luca just steps out his foot right that that
foot isn't extended, which then is the foul issue impeding
his progress.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
But now we're back to the dress again. What color
is the dress? Come on, no, I'm saying there's one.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
No, it is, but there's one angle that doesn't sub
zero playing Mortal Komba.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
Look at you, I think you're gonna say the angle
on Lebron James foul where it's like, wow, I've never
seen that angle used before. They found that one to
go use that all of a sudden there is to
give the ball, give the ball over to the world,
to the.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
League is against Lebron James. It's a conspiracy.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
He tripped him like that one guy on the Suns.
I mean, why you're getting that guy? He just came
with the guy in the place, didn't even take him
back to college. Good for you. I'm telling you, man,
that that is a that is a a a a
solution that solves so many problems.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
It doesn't it doesn't add much time. And if you're
worried about time at that point, go do something else
with your life.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
Right.
Speaker 3 (28:30):
If the final minute of a game being extended so
they get a call, right, is going to keep you
from an appointment the point because here's gonna be okay,
if you were able to and I really want to
see this at some point because maybe somebody and I
just can't find out or another.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
Rewatch out of Broach by the way, Yeah, is that
if you said, okay, television ratings for an NBA playoff
game and you were able to say, to me, what's
the viewership at the beginning of the game, what's the
viewership all the way through? Like, show me a graph
where where from the beginning to tip off to the
end of the game where viewership is? I guarantee you
(29:04):
you see the highest point. People tune in late, right,
people tune in, will watch, people don't watch the whole game,
and they'll keep track of it. And I'll turn in. Hey,
I want to watch the last half hour of the game. Yeah, sure,
that's been in the joke with the NBA for year. Yes, right,
I mean six minutes left, is it close? That's when
everybody's watching and no one will care. No one's going
to care at that point. If you do it, that
(29:25):
such a point you can do. And again you solve
so many problems. I'm solving problems.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
Right So wait, so retroactively, the league's gonna give the
Lakers the win? Is that how that works? I think
the league would be okay, just get the letter of apology.
Just Adam Silver sign it? Or is it auto pen
if you are you can't.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
Or is it one of his minions that doles out
the apology? You know on auto pen doesn't work. But
you can't autopend now, now you can't autopend and still
get the same weight behind it you because the.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Thing is if you use blue ink, then it can
be transferred into other things. It's very very big thing
in the autograph community. All of a sudden, I might
have a bunch of letters getting me out of like
lots of trouble for Adam Silver.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
Oh okay, all right, if you could do that, that's fine.
And if the NBA really insists you signed this in
blue and again, the NBA really needs the Lakers to
stay in the playoffs. And I'd be okay with if
you came out with the rule that says, okay, we're
gonna send that Nix Pistons back to tie to two
and two to two is gonna be Lakers teables, I'd say, okay, okay,
if you want to do that, fine, all right, look
at that. I'm telling you that that tells you how
(30:21):
much I believe what's going on I'm willing to take.
And I say this because I know it's not gonna happen.
And the nickser up to your one. Go New York,
Go New York, go go. But you understand my point
about how that would have taken care of it. Yeah, nice,
How you really jammed the Nixon at the end, Go
New York, co New York, Go, go New York, Go
New York go. Uh exit out bout a fresca exit
swallowing down The Jason Smith Show with Mike Carmon live

from the tire rack dot Com studios. Time now to
find out what's trending in the wide world of sports.
But guy has been called the Cad Cunningham of Fox
Sports Radio. Three years ago. I told you how good
he was gonna be. It just took him three years
to get really good. It's Steve Desager.
Speaker 5 (30:57):
I thought it was because of my seven turnovers.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
Halftime.
Speaker 5 (31:00):
Houston leads at Golden Stage fifty seven to fifty Draymond Green,
the first player in over a decade to in the
first half of a playoff game, have four personal fouls,
including a technical. Yeah, the Warriors had an early sixteen
to two lead, but they're down seven to Houston at
the half. Rockets trying to even this first round series
at two games apiece. Jimmy Butler and the Warriors did
(31:22):
return after the fall last week. He has four points
one of three shootings so far. Earlier, Cleveland won at
Miami one thirty eight to eighty three. This wound up
the most lopsided series in NBA playoff history, and it
was a fifty five point win. Tonight, the record is
still fifty eight point margin. For biggest playoff win.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
All time was that the Knicks loss.
Speaker 5 (31:44):
Oh if only the Calves led by sixty with about
a minute to go, But only I say in quotes
a fifty five point margin of victory for the cap Rosberg.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
You know the knickser up three to one in your
down three to one, right, you know this, and you
the Wolves right where we want. Oh no, you don't,
because Doc Rivers. Smart people understand that Jason Doc Rivers
is not coaching that team. Three to one is going
to be really difficult. It's not the fat to complete
it all down three one, We're gonna win the next three.
Doc's done.
Speaker 5 (32:13):
JJ Redick is going to attempt to play Lebron forty
nine minutes in the next game, standing by.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
It's a bold strategy, Cotton. He gives Kareem thirty minutes.
Speaker 5 (32:23):
In the NHL Playoffs at Dallas, it is the Stars
five to two over Colorado at the end of two,
trying to go up three games to two in that
first round, or Florida three games to one. After beating
Tampa Bay tonight four to two with three goals scored
in the last four minutes. The Penguins fired coach Mike
Sullivan after ten seasons, missing the playoffs each in the
last three years. He is the US Olympic coach for
(32:45):
next year.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
By the way, The.
Speaker 5 (32:47):
Packers signed linebacker Isaiah Simmons. The brown signed wide receiver
Deontay Johnson. Quarterback Sam Howell passed his physical with the Vikings.
The Steelers signed wide receiver Robert Woods. The Commanders and
DC will build new stadium on the RFK Stadium site
to Major League Baseball. The late game has the Dodgers
now up five to nothing on the Marlins. Bottom of
(33:08):
the fifth is Tasker Hernandez has homered for a third
straight game. Everything else is final, including another Mets win
and another Rockies loss. The Mets are twenty and nine
after winning at Washington today nineteen to five. It was
a fifteen nothing advantage in the eighth. Brandon Nemo two homers,
nine RBIs wins for the Reds.
Speaker 1 (33:28):
They're fifth street. You tell me, come to who has
the best record in baseball right now, you might be
said team, Yes, okay, Minnesota at Baltimore h one Houston
as well. But Atlanta has won at Colorado six to three. Yes,
the Braves have won eight of ten, but in this matchup,
Colorado's the story. They've not only lost seventh straight, they've
lost fifteen of their last sixteen. And the Rockies record
(33:51):
this year is four and twenty four. Second half underway
at Golden State. Will keep you updated. Back to you.

Sports Radio The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon Warriors,
Lee the Rockets sixty to fifty seven early in the
third quarter, eight and a half left to go. Plenty
of time left here, Jimmy. Uh. But at this point, Mike,
after this weekend, I feel embarrassed for Bill Belichick because
he seems small a right, like this controversy with him
(36:10):
in the CBS This Morning interview just it makes him
seem small, and really, I go, this was a guy
who was the greatest head coach that we've ever seen
in the NFL, and now look at where he's at.
He does an interview with CBS This Morning and airs
on Sunday morning, and you know, probably the most softball
of softball interviews, except Belichick and his girlfriend, twenty four
(36:32):
year old Jordan Hudson make it a little weird. It's
about promoting a book for Crying out Life. I mean,
it's just the thing. The interviewer is asking questions about
them and about their relationship. And because it's Bill Belichick
wants her c seed on all his emails. She's always around,
She's a constant presence, was right next to him during
the interview of the entire time. But this is the
(36:54):
moment that went viral when the question was, hey, how
did you guys meet, and then Jordan Hudson and pipes
in from off camera we're not going to talk about it.
You have Jordan threat over there.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
Everybody in the world seems to be following this relationship.
Speaker 5 (37:10):
They've got an opinion about your private life.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
It's got nothing to do with them, but they're invested
in it.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
How do you deal with that?
Speaker 3 (37:17):
Never been too worried about what everybody else thinks, Just
to try to do what I.
Speaker 5 (37:20):
Feel like is that's for me?
Speaker 2 (37:22):
And what's right?
Speaker 1 (37:23):
How did you guys meet?
Speaker 2 (37:24):
Not talking about this?
Speaker 1 (37:27):
We're not talking about this. We're not how you met?
Like that's the easiest question in the world. But that's
the thing.
Speaker 3 (37:33):
The story has been they met on a plan a plane, right,
is so what is the truth?
Speaker 1 (37:40):
We're not going to do that because that opens the
door to it because again, that was something that everybody knew.
They met on a plane. He autographed it, and they
got in touch and they started dating. Now it's like, whoa,
is that really how you met? Now? Is it? Now?
By trying to shut it down and trying to I mean,
she's she seems like Lady Macbeth at this point, like
I'm just running everything. There's no reason the shot. That's
(38:00):
a very innocuous question. Hey, how'd you guys meet? No,
we're not doing it. Whoa?
Speaker 3 (38:04):
But I mean he is CBS this morning, the power
of CBS News. Maybe she knows that he knows right
like it was you asking locking forward questions unity or
steve the answering question you knew the answer to earlier,
who's got the best record in baseball?
Speaker 1 (38:19):
You went lawyer on him because you knew.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
And maybe maybe she thought, Ah, this guy, the bright
lights are there and he knows this is this is
the most decorated head coach in the history of the NFL.
Speaker 1 (38:32):
And he looks like a B teen movie adult, you know,
like he's like Eugene Levy in the American Pie movies.
Like he like that's what he is. Now. I'm embarrassed
for the guy. Hey, big boy, he's like a cartoon character.
I mean, like, this is this is just this is
this relationship and all the talk about it and again
I can't get past seventy two and twenty four you
(38:53):
know it all and this goes further than my whole Hey,
significant other's family members never help. They want to jump
in to defend you when something is going on. Right,
When someone's wife or someone's husband wants to defend them,
or family member a mom or a dad, it never
goes well. Family members need to just it's not your fight.
I get what you want to do, but it never
(39:13):
helps you trying to help that person. It never helps.
And this is a case here. This never helped the girlfriend,
doesn't help the boyfriend. Plant time to TAS's boyfriend doesn't
help the girlfriend. This but this is that situation.
Speaker 3 (39:24):
Well, but it always comes back to and you send
a lot of texts back out right.
Speaker 1 (39:28):
We talk about stories for the show.
Speaker 3 (39:29):
But to your friend's family, to Pam or you know me,
to whoever. At this point, it's the the You don't
know how they're going to receive it. This there's no
no ambiguity here.
Speaker 1 (39:42):
We're not talking about it. Yeah, Like it's one thing
to say we'd like to keep.
Speaker 3 (39:45):
That private, yeah, or just go with the plane story
at that point, see what the interviewer does. But by set,
we're not talking about that. Like, Okay, now you've made
an adversarial. Now you've made a problem, and you made
it for sure, because this was what came out of
it was CBS went out of their way to make
sure that was included.
Speaker 1 (40:04):
Oh, they put everything in.
Speaker 3 (40:05):
They because evidently she chimed in a bunch is what
the backstory is. So while they didn't show all the
interruptions over the course of the interview time they made
sure to at least put out she was omnipresent.
Speaker 1 (40:18):
Yes, well, they showed standing next to him. She's right,
she's right over there. I mean, really, I'm embarrassed for Belichick.
I'm embarrassed for him at this point. I just just
everything going on, like what what what? What's happening here?
I mean, and the whole thing with the emails that
come out because now that he wanted her c set
on him, they all become publics like she's, you know,
(40:39):
pushing how things should go. This is Bill Belichick state Employeeeah.
I mean, how do you feel if you're North Carolina?
Did you hire him or did you hire him and
his girlfriend?
Speaker 3 (40:46):
I mean, come on, man, I mean, if she can
legitimately handle logistics for him, that's more than that. But
now if we're talking, she's now director of player personnelity.
Speaker 1 (40:57):
No, this is all Steve Belichick and taking over in
his midge up. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I mean, I'm like,
what are you like? I don't know if Bill Belichick
is in such part of the IDGAF part of his
life where I just don't care. I'm seventy two, I'm
dating a twenty four year old woman, and and I'm
coaching him to it. I just don't I don't care.
I really I get it. But wow, man, look at
(41:17):
where you were getting knocked out of the Patriots and
that losing. Was it that big a deal? Was it
that big? I would say, this? Is that hurt that much?
Speaker 3 (41:26):
The response that he gave of the I don't really
worry about what people think. I really hope that in
his heart and in his brain that that's true, because
otherwise he is a tortured soul right now.
Speaker 1 (41:39):
I really I know what we saw here. I'm just
he's so much more diminished of a presence over the
last few months with everything else going than than he
ever was.
Speaker 3 (41:49):
I want the hard knocks. I really want a deep
dive on that. I mean, let's go back and let's
bring that back into existence.
Speaker 1 (41:56):
Really to go from that to where he is where
I just feel every time his headline comes up by cringe,
I go, aw, what's happening? Is something good happening?
Speaker 3 (42:02):
And you also say, we got beat by this guy
for twenty bleeping years?
Speaker 1 (42:06):
Man, coming up next, we got more big stuff from
the NFL
