(00:23):
you're listening to Fox Sports Radio. The Phillies have now
won fourteen out of sixteen, so maybe maybe it was
Joe Girardi's fault. I mean, maybe it was Joe Girardi.
I don't know. It's hard to see the boy here
they are. They're just spiraling out of a flipion. Now
(00:43):
they went fourteen out of sixteen. Yeah, there's so much
to it, right, I mean, you want the book on
this that season, man, Remember Joe Madden had gone and
gotten a mohawk and had never gotten to actually show
the angels, So we don't know what would have happened,
but we know they're still consistently bad. Now they lose
Rendoin for the rest of the year, so that's not
(01:05):
good for business. Uh, So you you got that going,
but yeah, suddenly things got a little interesting in your division.
And it just took taking Wildcat Joe out of the
picture to make that happen. Well, and now all this, oh,
the mods are really good. They've been beating up on
the braves and the Phillies and dude, uh, suddenly now
beating up on the braves and the Phillies looks pretty good,
(01:25):
doesn't it, doesn't it? Yeah, Metsio. Well, but we always
get back to the when did you play them? You know,
just because they finished really well. I mean, because like
you could you could beat it. Can't play everybody at once.
This is a computer at a computer simulation where you
can type it in and get like a million results
in half a second. Yeah. No, The point I was
trying to make was they were terrible when you played them. Uh.
(01:47):
And it's it's like when near at the end of
an college football season is like, well, they were top
ten when we played them. Maybe they were just one
more game the rest of the year. You know, it's
not my fault we beat them when they were number
seven in the land. Hey, it's not my fault that
maybe they were terrible because we people we played them.
(02:08):
Maybe we made them terrible. Maybe they were actually, okay,
so I watched my because you talked about it in
the hour one your m v P picks, uh go
into town, one of my m VP picks. I watched
him go yard against my squad, and then I said,
I gotta be able to watch this other game, right,
so you're don Alvarez HiT's a homer to make it?
Uh well, uh, absolute burial against the White which just
(02:32):
keeps getting worse made at twelve three. And then as
I'm trying to figure out, all right, is it gonna
let me watch the Dodgers or not? Uh, Tucker goes yard.
So back to back home right, So now it's thirteen
to three, top of nine. Uh. And but I didn't
determine that I was in fact able to watch Clayton
Gershaw so uh much better Friday night. Obviously, all the
(02:54):
talk and great conversations we're going to have here, but
it always helps to be, you know, have a backdrop
between that and a little SmackDown on Fox. I mean,
I've got plenty of sports and sports entertainment to uh
add to our experience. Dude, you gave up ten runs
in the sixth then, yeah, it was awful, and how
many intentional walks were there? Oh okay, well that's that's
(03:17):
that's gonna count for just kept kind of waiting. Listen.
I don't want to either. No, I don't want to
face this guy. Walk this walk. All he was trying
to do was the uh the stuff is physical therapist
said about raising his arm and getting his shoulder loose.
But they determined, uh, inadvertently, that those were all intentional walks.
(03:39):
That he was calling Tony, who's up? All two of
a walcom? Okay, great? Who's up next? Brentley always hitting
three hundred? Walcom? Okay? Now it's who's up next? Bregman?
Oh no, no, no, walk him? Alright, Bass, what do
you want to do? Oh? Alvarez is up? Oh no,
walk him? But Tony, that's a run now, it doesn't
matter what. Who's after that? Tucker? I'll walk him? Yeah, no,
I walk it's another run? What about that? Well it's Gurry,
(04:01):
I'll walk him. He's good. Who's next? Well, Diaz pitched him,
let's pitched him? All right, Well we've given up four runs.
Now let's pitch. Let's try to get the seven eight
nine batters out. Giolito five innings pitched, seven hints eight
earned runs. Foster came in. He was terrible. Uh five
home runs thus far in this game for the Astro.
So if you're playing a little fantasy baseball, you can't
(04:22):
wait to see how this series progresses. At this point,
Twitter and out about a Fresco. Mike gets swollen down
the Jason Smith Show with my best friend Mike Harmon.
If you're a valued customer, you deserve a simple gesture
of appreciation from your credit card company. That's why I
discover matches all the cash back. You're in the end
of your first year, discover exceptionally common sense. Learned more
at discovered dot com slash match limitations they do apply. Okay,
(04:45):
So with the Warriors winning the championship, now everybody's got
to get that clean slate about what's next for next year.
I got to throw out my Lakers need to tank
theory earlier today on m five seventy uh filling in
in the on the Midday Show with Fred and it
actually was met with a lot of of agreement. I
was surprised. Bill Plashky told me, yeah, yeah, you know,
(05:05):
my second best friend, Bill Plashky said, yeah, yeah, Lakers tank,
Lakers tank so okay, we're all moving on. How I'm
not surprised he agreed with you because he he wants
to trade everybody, including people in the front office. Well,
so yeah, Plashky was already salty because he told me
that he had to go get his his car get
a smog inspection. And he's like, what a racket. This
is all they do is turn my car on and off.
(05:27):
I gotta give him fifty bucks. So he was really
cooking when he came on there. So he was ready
for anything. I think, well, when he getting yes, let
him tank. When's he gonna give up on this sports
riding and start being David Horowitz. Here's another way to
rip you off. Well, he told him you should have
a podcast called Smog Check with Bill Plashky, and you
just come out with all your takes where you're full
(05:48):
of hate and fire and brimstone. He was all on
board with my Lakers, dirty and smooth, just like a
tire fire. Let's go. But let's flip the calendar the
other way. At I will give you my early We'll
give you our early Eastern and Western Conference finals picks. Right,
we do this in the in the NFL, we give
you our a f C and NFC championship game. Pick
(06:10):
something a little different, get some more teams in so
right now, obviously with free agency still to come, and
you're trying to see how teams are going to the
raft next yet the draft next week. Yeah, I mean
and and and look, we're gonna start finding out just
how good players from the twenty four teen draft are
this year, because now they're finally rounding into shape. But
with all the odds that have that have come out
(06:30):
for the teams for next year, I'll give you my
Eastern Conference Finals pick, and you're gonna like it, Mike Carmen,
because I'm going to say this is gonna be a
return to the Eastern Conference Finals for the Milwaukee Bucks.
The injury to Chris Middleton was a really big deal,
and with a year away, not playing as deep into
the playoffs, the Bucks will bounce back. It's still Janice
who is still the best player in the game, and
(06:52):
it's going to be a Milwaukee Bucks to the finals year.
And I like them to play your Chicago bull my
Chicago Bulls. They had so many injuries. I mean, they
started out great this year, right, they were terrific and
then the injuries happened and they struggled, right Alonzo and
Alex Caruso. Remember Alex caruw is a big deal, but
(07:13):
they you know, that's when they struggled and they couldn't
figure out a way. Now they do have to figure
out Zach Levine in his situation. But they are big
time in the mix for Rudy Gobert, and that's that's
the one team that everybody seems to think. The Bulls
have enough assets to make this move and to make
this happen. Even if they don't, they have enough money
to to figure out their deficiencies. So I I am
(07:35):
buying that this was a learning experience year for the Bulls.
They they saw how good they could be and then
they faltered at the end. And it's not like they
faltered so badly because the difference between second place in
sixth place was only a couple of games. But they
faltered enough for you to think, ah, the Bulls and
they lost in the playoffs. They lost early, But this
was a learning year from the Bulls. I expect them
to get even better in the off season. Bucks Bulls
(07:58):
Eastern Conference Finals next year. Yeah, it's gonna require some
work right. You mentioned Zach Levine, but also uh finding
some of those young players to actually give them some
level of consistency. Still waiting to see if Kobe White's
gonna be able to make a jump uh to some move.
He he was fantastic, so he had a good year.
Uh And obviously Derosan was m VP talk for a
(08:20):
good chunk of the year. But the Alonzo knee thing
just really really concerns me because there was about fourteen
false starts. If he's gonna come back, now, he's gonna
come back? No? Uh so I I like your bucks pick,
but you know what, I'm gonna go a little more controversial.
Why because uh, well we're just throwing stuff against the
wall with plenty of musical chairs to come. How about
(08:43):
the team you hate in the Brooklyn Nets. You know, oh, really,
you're gonna go for the net. You're gonna go for
the nets. The you're gonna go for the nets? I
mean this, Joe Harris returns, hang on, guy that can
make them play honestly, Kevin Durant, Hey, Seth Curry. You've
got three guys that I trust, and then we figure
(09:03):
out how it rounds out. I gotta figure at some point,
Ben Simmons actually wants to play basketball. I'm wishing, wanting
and hoping, uh that that gets resolved. And Kyrie when
he does play, is really good. So I think that's
enough to get me over. So I'm gonna ride the
lightning on that. I'm going. I I look at you
picking the nets and I feel like John Paul Morossi
(09:24):
when he comes on and picks the Mariners to win
the AL West every single year, like eventually, I gotta
be right. Eventually, eventually the Mariners are gonna get there.
Haven't made the playoffs in twenty years, They're gonna get there.
It's like all the nets, all the nets, but eventually
that are the nets really gonna put it together? Are they?
Ben is really gonna play? Is he really gonna play?
Isn't no? I know, I don't mean you, I mean
(09:45):
anybody who continues to say and that's it's like I
get either. But look at look at where they were
this year. They're not gonna be any healthier. Kyrie Evering
isn't gonna be any more committed to playing basketball. Neither
is Kevin Durant. Who knows what Ben Simmons is it
this year away from the game for almost two two
years when he finally does come, Hey, that worked out
for Clay Thompson and he was working on rehabing his legs. Well,
(10:08):
you're also talking about he was salty as hell. Yeah,
Clay also had had, you know, ad three titles, So
there is there is that for Clay Thompson. But the Nets,
I feel like, Okay, yes, I get we're looking at
the star power of the Nets and it's k d
and but Kevin Durant isn't quite Kevin Durant because he
can't stay on the court enough to be Kevin Durant.
(10:28):
You know, he the the injury, the Achilles injury, took
from him the ability for him to dominate every single night.
Now when he plays, he still dominates, but he has
a tough time staying in the lineup. But can you
trust him to be healthy? Can you trust that Kyrie
is gonna be in the lineup with him? At the
same point, are they going to make the playoffs high
enough to have home court advantage when they need it.
It's just too much. I feel like asking for the
(10:49):
Nets to do something. It's like you're you're asking guys
that don't love basketball as much as other guys do.
To get to the NBA Finals. Here's the beauty of it, though,
how many of these teams do you trust as as constructed?
Right now? Right? Barriors win the title, but you're still
sitting there going all right, more wear and tear the
length of a long post season. What does it look
(11:13):
like next year? Yeah? Young talent, but are we sure
that Moody cominga and Wiseman Giant question mark are gonna
be ready to fill in minutes, et cetera? Like we're
even doing that with them. So when I go down
the list, Celtics, Tatum closing, sloppy turnovers, what changes and
that's sure? Injuries and desire? Uh well, we'll talk about
(11:36):
the Western Conference a little bit more here, Bucks coming back?
Is Middleton does that role? I'm more likely to. That's
the one team I don't have as many reservations on
the Sun's come on. Be sure to catch live editions
of The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at
ten pm Eastern seven pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio
and the I Heart Radio Whip. Joining us now on
(11:59):
the Hot Lot for all the big NFL news. A
guy who seems to be as disappointed in the play off.
Jayson tatums me. He is a current Pro Football Hall
of Fame voter. He is Alongsi, I'm NFL insider. He
is an author. He is Jason Cole Ja Cole. What's happening, buddy?
What's this anti music? That? This this? Well? You you
(12:23):
mentioned this in in one of your visits with us,
so we use it for you now once in a while.
I can't. I can't really hear this. What is it?
It's it's a hot to take on me? Then I
just can't for some reason, I can't hear it very well. Okay,
this is why I'm in the right mood. I'm good.
I'm good. You bet you did the whole Dodo. Dude, dude,
(12:43):
you did that whole thing. I'm good. I'm I'm feeling
I'm feeling it now. I just was. I was at confused.
I was all off my game for a second. You know,
I get I'm easily distracted, Okay, like Jayson Tatum. Okay,
so I got it. Traveled on the Jayson Tatum wasn't distracted,
he was absent. You have more tweets about Jayson Tatum
in the last twenty four hours gonna do the NFL.
(13:04):
It was just well, yeah, because it was so incredibly disappointed.
There's nothing going on in the NFL other than like
handwringing about Deshaun Watson, Like when is it going to
be suspended? Don't worry, it's gonna happen. Um, Like Jayson Tatum,
just like, dude, like go to the rack hard once
in a while, will you just like you're you're going
(13:25):
against smaller guys, You're supposed to win that, you know,
that matchup played like that. It just it was pathetic.
It was really it was a really a really terrible performance.
I gotta say that. You know, we had Rick Buker
on the show last night, NBA Insider, and he said
he wouldn't be surprised if you find out sometime in
(13:46):
the next few days that he was dealing with an
injury that we just didn't know about because they protected
him from it, because it's not the Jayson Tatum that
he's seen over the course of the past year plus.
You please, how are you playing the previous series? He
played great in the previous series against Miami. Right at
a four point game, he was fine, Okay, now all
of a sudden, it's oh he's got a mystery inser.
(14:07):
You know, he didn't he just didn't want to attack
the basket. He played I don't even want to say,
you know, say the words. How he played it was awful,
Like I mean, just you know, man up. I mean,
Andrew Wiggins took his heart. It was like one of
those Indiana Jones movies and you know, a couple of
doomers spoiler right, sorry about that. So yeah, I mean, like,
(14:31):
uh sorry, if anybody has not seen the movie in
the last forty years, Um, it has been forty years.
But it doesn't matter. There's younger people that are just
discovering Harrison Ford. They're saying, well, maybe with the new
announcement of the next Indiana Jones that's coming out, so
they'll go back and read hissit right. Oh that's what happened.
(14:54):
I mean, he didn't give you all the context as
to how it happens and what it means to anything.
I just said, this is to be a cool piece
that you're gonna want to keep your eyes feel for him. Yeah, yeah,
get the rock that's what really, that's what it's all about.
Just get find the rocks. And anyways, um, that would
be nice if Jason Tatum had found the rock once
in a while and when he went to the rack,
(15:15):
but it was he's not injured like like maybe Baker, right,
I like the Acker, but no, he's just it was
listless performance. And Andrew Wiggins out played him by a mile.
So I'm done. You're you're not gonna write the Jayson
Tatum biography that Jayson Tatum a relentless life getting to
the basket. You're not going to be writing that he
(15:37):
was not what you would call relentless. So no, okay,
Jason Tatum and unrelentless life. Maybe that's a new one.
He was he was, he was, No, he was relenting.
He relented quite a bit. Jayson Tatum a somewhat relentless life.
Maybe that's the times sessionary life. I'm making sessions to
(16:00):
my legacy. I am Jaska, Yes, exactly. Make it like
one of those choices, is it always relentless, somewhat relentless,
very little relentless, not relentless at all, Like when you
have to have in regular season games and up until
the championship when everybody's watching and I shrink, Yes, that's
(16:22):
that's just too long a title. That's just that's a
big time I am. I am the Baker Mayfield of
my time. So I turned that back. You know you did,
you did your first rodeo. So before we get into
Shawn Watson, right, I wanted to ask you about this
(16:43):
because this is I really feel this was the truth.
When when when he said it yesterday, was this whole
Patrick Mahomes Tyree killed to a tongue of Liola. Story
has been so much fun with Tyree Hill saying that
accuracy wise, I would take to a talent wise. It's
very close. And you know, Mahomes said yesterday, I think
you hit it right at that what he said. You know,
I liked, you know, Tyrek and I got along great.
I just saw him maybe it's him just want to
(17:05):
get his podcast off the ground, and I thought, that's
exactly what it is. I got a podcast. Now I
want to say something. I want people to subscribe. So
I'm gonna say something crazy like, yeah, two and Mahomes
are kind of similar in some ways. They both throw
the ball. Yeah, they're both quarterbacks. They're both quarterbacks in
(17:26):
the n f L. Yes, I will say it's not
a stretch to say that to a talk of Iola
is very accurate throwing the ball, that is true, Okay,
is the same level of accuracy with the same degree
of difficulty as Patrick Mahomes. What kind of absurdest world
(17:52):
do we live in even draw any kind of comparison
between the two. I mean, look, I hope too is
a good player. Um, but come on, Patrick Mahomes. Tyree,
he'll get some more subscribers, you know, like you buy
some subscribers if you really ask you to get the
thing off the ground. He got playing him money from
the Dolphins. I like that by the subscribers, He's not wrong. Well,
(18:17):
I'll pay for you. Just let's get this thing started,
can't we. Let's do that. Yeah, obviously, you know. And
when Tyreek was talking, he uh he brought up a
couple of specific plays about what Mahomes did to throw
him open, which I thought was just the most absurd
part of all of it. But we have to go
to the big topic, as you alluded to to Shaun Watson.
(18:39):
Now they is it a year? Is it eight? I mean,
it has to happen. What do we got a month time?
Right in theory before the start of training camp. Well,
I mean, technically you could let him go through training camp,
but he's just prolonging this. I mean, look, I think
to be fair to the Browns, you have to declare
(19:04):
what's going to happen to this guy before training camp starts,
because they can't go through training camp planning for him
to be the starter and taking all the reps. Um. Yeah,
this has to happen sooner than later for the league's
sake and for the team's sake. And if I was
(19:24):
Jimmy Haslam, despite the fact that I have guaranteed this
guy two eight billion dollars or whatever it is, Yeah,
I want to know. Um. And there's a certain point.
It's like, if this thing gets into being they asked
for two years in an effort to get one, which
literally could happen right then, Um, this gets really really
(19:51):
dicey for the Browns going forward, because I mean, not
only you're talking about Okay, we have to skip this
one year with him, but are we bleeding into two years?
And how does that affect our planning for who we're
gonna pay and when we're gonna pay Because there are
guys on that team right now that they're building with
(20:14):
who may not be around when Deshaun Watson finally gets
a chance to play. So Davion Kny just resigned on
I really want to be here with DESHAWNA. Watson. You
might not be here after next year, Gen Davion like,
that's just not happening. So there's a lot that does that.
There are a lot of moving parts here that the
NFL has to solve by finally asking for the suspension.
(20:37):
I thought I thought that Mark Maski did a really
good job at the Washington Post of laying out what
the options are, and there are still a lot of
moving parts. But he's most likely right, which is the
NFL is going to ask for more and bargain it
down to less. It's basically Ben Roethlisberger, where what was
it six and it came down to four. I think
it's gonna be way more than that. Um, But it
(21:01):
will come down to, you know, half or two thirds
of whatever they asked for. Hey, Baker, Kevin Stefanski, how
you doing? Man? Hey hold done? How are you? Is
it good? Are we cool? Can listen to talk? Are
we like? You know? I know I said some things
about we need to have like an adult and stuff like,
(21:22):
but um, Can we just go through one more year?
Can we do that? Look, I didn't want I thought
for you. They'll try, They'll try a lower round pick
for Garoppolo because San Francisco has to get rid of Garoppolo.
They don't have any choice in this one because what's
(21:45):
gonna happen with pray Land and I hear this all
the time for people in that building. He's just not
very accurate right now. He works really really hard, but
it's gonna take him a while. So they're gonna be
doing a lot of you know, run pass options stuff
with Trey Lance, hoping his accuracy improves, and we're we're
(22:05):
praying for it. But if he struggles and he's and
when he's the starter on garoppolos around, You've got a
lot of guys, veteran guys on that team who believe
that Garoppolo can help him win games, and they're they're
gonna want the team to go back to Garoppolo. So
Kyle Shanahan knows he has to make a clean break,
and he even you know, he said it earlier this month.
(22:28):
He doesn't expect Garoppolo to be on the team. So
they're gonna go out and get something, And I think
it's probably gonna be Cleveland at that point, because Cleveland
would be happy to take Garoppolo on a one year
deal and make you know, he ends up, you know,
being a whole on this one, gets his contract and
then goes in as a free agent after this year.
(22:48):
I mean, assuming he's okay with that. I mean it's
twenty something million dollars, so I think he'll probably be fine. Well,
let let me let me just say this, Is it
as simple as Baker Mayfield for Jimmy Garoppolo. It could
just be that simple. No, no, because because San Francisco
doesn't want Mayfield, right, So, I mean it's gonna be
a pick. It's probably a second that can turn it
(23:10):
a third, that can turn into a second, something like that,
maybe throwing something else to make it look better, like
a sixth or a fifth. Right, So you dress up
a trade um for Garoppolo and then you send you
know whatever, You send Mayfield off to Carolina or wherever
for something similar. So you basically got Garoppolo for free
(23:33):
for one year, and he steps in a place for Watson.
Then when Watson's ready to go after a year, you
make the full transition. I mean that seems logical to
me about how it'll play out. And at this point
in time, how many other how many other teams are
going to take Garoppolo where they're not gonna want They're
(23:53):
gonna want to trade something and have him on a
long term deal, and he's not necessarily gonna want to
do that at a time coming off of the injury,
you know, when his value is less than what he
thinks it should be, where he can go to a
place like Cleveland and he can go, Okay, I'll play
the one year out. You know. I hope you guys
get to the playoffs. You're decent enough team. You play
a lot of play actions basically the same offense that
(24:14):
I just played in San Francisco. This is a really
easy transition for me and and do that. You know,
you make the playoffs, you're looked at as a guy
who's a terrific you know, regular season quarterback guys can
get you the playoffs and somebody will pay a lot
of money for that. So for me, this is the
logical way that it works out. See once in a while,
(24:37):
Jim Porter, Jason Colet give you once in a while,
Once in a while I can. Actually, when you guys
forced me to do it, when you forced me to
talk born gods trapped in it trapped me you went,
we went serious sports on Jason Katum. So I didn't
think I was talking about football in the series way.
I was talking about basketball SERI this way. So you
(24:58):
got me into serious sports. Guy, What happened? And now
you started shaking your head like your Will Ferrell debating
James Carville in old school. What happened? You were? You were?
I was? I was. This is just listen. It's rough
(25:19):
when you disappoint yourself to start yelling bees bees bees,
in the words of Rowdy Roddy Piper, when you start
changing the answers, I start changing the question. Well, I
will start, sir on this. I love the part about
how um then the nflp A was going to use
all of the lack of punishment of NFL owners as
(25:42):
grounds for a wide Deshaun Watson wasn't. And that that
to me is like, that's such great logic, as such
a it's such a some in the No, yeah, some
of your nose at Jerry Jones and Bob Kraft and
all those guys make him shift Din it a little bit.
He's on Twitter at Jason Cole sixty two. That is
(26:04):
at Jason Cole sto. Ja Cole is always funny. We

with us. So all serious stuff too. I know it
was weird, right, I mean, that's not a Jason. It's
a Friday too. He's thrown off by the music. I
(27:08):
don't I don't know. I don't think he was happy.
I think he's mad that o ts are done. I
really wanted to get the last one hit about Hey,
all these teams getting fined because of you know, hard
hits or whatever. What are we doing with these mini
camps anymore than everybody just get on a laptop and
don't actually get on a field. Yeah. I think Look,
he was salty about Jayson Tatum's performance last night, So
(27:31):
I think that that that kind of put him in
that in that serious mode. I think, well, cemented you
as a best friend because he he took up for
you because you know you've been wearing it because you
perpetrated a fraud on America. And he was trying to say,
you know what, I was fooled too, Jason performance, his performance,
we're talking about this performance. Uh so uh With speaking
(27:52):
of Jayson Tatum and the Celtics, Look, we're we're talking
the big win by the Warriors last night, their fourth
title the last eight years, and looking ahead to next
year now for a little bit, because we have we
have somewhere to reflect on with the NBA Finals throughout
the night, but we made our Eastern Conference finals picks
for next year earlier this hour. So now it's time
(28:14):
for our Western Conference Finals picks and don't forget if
you miss any of these uh topics, you can download

(28:36):
So Western Conference Finals, Mike Carmen, this is this is
where one team, if you listen to the show, you
know who I'm gonna take for one. The other one
might surprise you. But I'm looking at next year's Western
Conference Finals not involving the Warriors. Warriors. This was more
of a hey, this group squeezed out one last championship
(28:57):
before they get a little too old. The other teams
that are younger that are coming in the playoffs, I
kind of like them. Next year, I'm going to say
the Western Conference Finals are the Clippers and the Grizzlies.
If the Grizzlies had not lost John Morand that series
with the with the Warriors would have gone the other way.
(29:19):
That was a really difficult series and the Warriors were
shut down. Steph wasn't getting his looks, Clay wasn't getting
his looks. But it's hard when you're missing the most
dynamic player in the NBA and very quickly one of
the top three guys in the league and John Moran,
it's really tough to overcome that. As well as they've
played during the season without him, But next year, you
(29:39):
know they'll make the kind of minor tweaks they need.
Grizzlies are gonna be in the Western Conference finals. And
finally with Kauai coming back for the Clippers as well
as they played this year without him really interested me
and showed me that hey, the Clippers have a lot
more uh to them. Then then we think, yeah, he
comes back next year, I'm going Clippers and Grizzlies in
the Western Off. Look at you, all right, First off,
(30:02):
I'd be remiss if I didn't bring up the Clay
Thompson and Jaren Jackson junior thing, Uh, you don't want
to beef. You know you don't want to beef because
Jackson saying, you know, strength and numbers and all that stuff.
After a regular season win. The fact that all these
guys just went out of their way. Hey, we got
one of the greatest moments of our lives. I battle
(30:22):
back from injuries. You know what. That guy he's a bum.
He actually said that. Uh you look, if you're gonna
give me all my and dismiss my Brooklyn nets because
I'll wear him now for injuries and issues or whatever.
I have to raise my hand down. The Clippers. They're fun,
but how they finished in the job. And you know,
(30:44):
I love Memphis, so it's hard to go away there.
But I'm gonna go with two teams again. Why because
everybody's got questions. Dallas just made a trade. They bring
in in Woods and now you've got a big that
can go for nineteen and ten. Uh good, long road
to the NBA for him. So making the most of it.
So I've got Dallas and Luca don Che It's which
means Mark Cuban is gonna do what havevery he has
(31:06):
to do to that roster to make it work going forward.
And because I'm a dope and I can get rope
back in, I'm gonna take the Denver nudgets. Oh look
at you going back. Michael Porter Jr. Jamal Murray, that
these guys actually see the court allegedly, you know, Jamal Murray,
maybe not. You never know. You never know what he's
(31:28):
gonna come back. Well, that's what I mean. Allegedly I
thought he was gonna come back earlier. We all did,
We all did. We all had those expectations. And that's
the thing, right, there's just so much as you try
to look ahead, and this is long before the you know,
the drafts coming up and free agency. There are just
so many moving parts and the wishing, wanting, hoping. Because
even your best players, if you got them past seventy
(31:50):
games this year, you should feel lucky. As a fan.
I got to watch them in seven out of eight games.
I was a lucky one. I was a lucky one
that got to see that. Look, it's tough. It was
tough for me to look at the Nuggets and not
think they'll take next year. It's it's hard, but boy,
(32:10):
you know, I mean, look when you talk about everybody
coming back, and here's the big addition for for Dallas. Okay,
you know, look, Christian Woods a good edition. Don't get me.
We talked about there'll be a trendy pick for a
lot of people. Yes, you know, the Nuggets are are
gonna get you know, in theory, they're gonna get quarterback,
They're gonna get Murray back. But Clippers are gonna get
Kauai back. Man, Clippers are getting Kauai back. That's the
(32:30):
biggest edition. But there's still the Clippers. Wow, look at you.
You can never go to Clipper Darrell's house again. You
are just They never invited me for a sandwich or
all the places he shills for nothing. There's a party
this weekend. We're all going. Now, you can't go. Look
at that. Uh. Coming up a little bit of a
(32:51):
different take on the biggest story of the NBA Finals.
This is Fox Sports Radio.
