(00:23):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Fox Sports Radio. It's
the Joett Man Cullen Show along with my best friend
Mike Harmon. That was brilliant. Come on that we that
that game cannot go away, some version of it has
to live all year long. All right, maybe we keep

(00:45):
doing programming, baby, Maybe every time there's a big college
basketball story we can do True TV or not. Alright, Well,
we had a good run. Uh checking right now to
if the ink is dry and Mick Cronin's new six
year extension. As u c L A having all kinds
of problems with Acron, they're on a big run the

(01:08):
last couple of minutes. They lead Acron right now fifty
two fifty one with just under two minutes left to go. Uh,
this has been a slog for u c L a
all the way through, but Campbell with a layup a
couple of moments ago, giving u c l A the lead.
We'll keep you updated on this game throughout the rest
of the night. Elsewhere right now, Arkansas had a bit

(01:29):
of a scare, but they overcome Vermont seventy one. Meanwhile,
Murray State San Francisco. Uh, that one still in doubt.
Fifty six, Murray State with the lead. Elsewhere Kansas Texas
Southern it is four. So um, I I don't think
it's going to go well for Texas Southern here. I
just don't don't see it coming down tired legs after

(01:52):
their first four games. So uh, you normally aren't expecting
big efforts. I mean, look what happened to Indiana off
of their win. Oh sorry, coach, I'll tell you, I'll
tell you. And now there's big results tonight. And there's
big results tonight, and none was bigger than this one
that I think knocked everybody out in the world of

(02:14):
having a perfect bracket to more than changes gets hit.
It's alive, that's alive. Yeah, it's Vince will Fork used
to do to have Fork lift him. Yeah, do what
Reggie White used to throw Brandon Moore back into his quarterback,
He's gonna fumble the football. This is what Reggie White

(02:35):
used to Yeah, you know, I'm sorry. Um, Now that
al Michael's and Chris Collinsworth aren't at those places anymore,
we can't use that anymore. There's there's Yeah, we can't
use that anymore. Yeah, yeah, any any called like like like,
we can't use Joe bucking and trait anymore because they
laughed anytime an announcer leaves from where they did that game.

(02:59):
We can't use that Highlands. Yeah, left, Do we now
get to use some of those calls that maybe we
didn't you know, the Disgusting Act, A Disgusting Act? Do
those come back into play? I mean, I don't know
how this works. I think we can use that now.
I think that one's okay. I think you can use that.
I think it's all right. But yeah, tie shoot now
so now, yeah, we have an embargo on the butt fumble.

(03:20):
Can't use that. What about draft picks? I'm sorry about that. Uh,
it depends if the draft pick is no longer with
the team, we can't use that either. You got a
lot of rules off of a sudden well, but today
I don't want you to get in trouble here with
any with you, with with with radio people. I don't really,
I don't want you to be in Don Martin's office
tomorrow and him saying, hey man, you played the butt
fumble and the guys don't work there. That was one
of my favorite calls. Don't ever stop. I don't want don't.

(03:43):
I don't want that for you, man, I want you
to stay employed. No stop it. It's like I had
a good run basically, I don't care, uh no now,
but none was bigger than this result. Three by Brooks
on the way he missed it. One second rebound comes
to drama and that's it. David has stuck alias the

(04:07):
fifteen seat at St. Peter's Peacocks, the tiny school of
hundred students has knocked off fighting Kentucky eighty five seventy
nine hit overtime Jersey City, which is just a hop,
skip and a jump from my home in stottn Island. St. Peter's.
Their enrollment is thirteen. They all play on the basketball team,

(04:30):
and they beat Kentucky eight five seventy nine, one of
the biggest upsets in college basketball in recent memory. Yes,
we had we had a UNBC one sixteen update, but
two fifteens this was shocking. Kentucky was phenomenal. They were loaded,
and they go down to St. Peter's in a game
if they had control of a couple of times at

(04:51):
the end of regulation in overtime they had a two
possession lead, and they still found a way to not
get it done. That's the shocking part this is that
Kentucky still had ways to win this game and they
couldn't do it. Now, for me, it's shocking, but I
wasn't that upset because in our Expert Bracket Challenge expert

(05:13):
really loosely, well, hey, all of our hosts here on
the radio, you and me and Ben and Rob and
and Chris and r J. Bell and Jonas and lavarre
At thirteen of the twenty people had Kentucky in the
final four. Seven of the twenty had Iowa in the
final four. I had neither of these teams in the

(05:34):
final four. The math checks out. I have already clinched
first place in this I have clinched regardless of what
happens with Duke to Mark's. I have Duke winning at all.
It doesn't matter. I have already clinched after day one
that I have Gonzaga winning it, and so if Duke
goes down, I'm feeling pretty good. No, no, no math, math,
No I did one doesn't matter. No, unless you're in

(05:57):
one of the cool bracket things when like now you
got crazy points for each thing that you pick and whatever. Yeah,
I mean there there's ways and permutations of this to
make you crazy. But straight out it's it's just one
point for first round. So don't don't get too cocky,
you know. But but you lose those games, those all
the way through till the en one. Yet, No, yes

(06:21):
it is. I've already clinched. I've already done it. Have
were webmaster? I have just warned anything you thought you
knew about doing basics. No, I've already won. I talked
to the web master. I talked to people in charge
of the I've already won. I really decided we have
someone called the web master. You don't think we have
a web master? Or is that? Or is that too?

(06:41):
Is that too much? Two thousand and five? If we
haven't have I don't think that title exists anymore in
our in our organization, someone sitting on a throne with
a Trident. You know, I say that because at ESPN,
because I usually do pretty well in these tournaments, because
because what I do is, like I tell you last night,
this is the whole thing with a team like Iowa,
uh is that don't pick the upsets, go chalkish to

(07:04):
the Elite eight and as good as Iowa, Look, look,
Kentucky's a team. Look, hey there are a two seed.
That's a big shocker. Right, I'm not talking about Kentucky.
It's teams like Yukon or Io, which was a really
trendy pick. Right, Iowa was incredibly trendy to to make
it to the final four. The thing that happened, Yeah,
they're still there's still a five seed and just trying

(07:28):
to pick the correct five seed that's gonna make it
to the final four. Just think about how hard that
is to do, right. The final four is are your ones,
your twos and your threes? Right, that's kind of where
you go Once in a while you get a four,
but your ones, you twos, in your threes, those those
are your ones. That's why you go chalkish because going
with a five seed, even though you might that's still
a big risk because five scenes don't make it to
the final four, and you've got to get the one

(07:49):
out of the four that's gonna be able to make
it there. It's a really hard thing to do, and
that's why you wind up getting limits. Why I do
things like clinch on the first day because I know
how to pick and I know the strategies that work.
Doesn't matter how much you know about a team, doesn't
matter how much you watch how because people are filling
out brackets with all kinds of expertise, from guys who
watch every game, two guys who watch some of the games,

(08:10):
to people who go, I don't even know where these
teams are. Who should I pick? Does the higher number
mean they're better? I don't understand. It doesn't matter. If
you don't pick the upsets, you stay chalwkish to the
elite eight, and that's when you make your move. You'll
wind up doing well. Look at everybody who at Iowa
today and now you couple it up with Kentucky. I mean,
I'm look, I am, I am your bracket champion already
day one? Are you done? Um? I know what you're

(08:32):
anniversary and all, but the self congratulatory thing went on
a little too long there. Well, The thing is if
it doesn't. See here's the thing. If Duke loses tomorrow,
I mean I'm going to be out like out so
as you always say, the show is tonight. Actually you're
finding your wins. But now you're doing well. I mean

(08:53):
you're stealing from St. Peter's. They are the whoa whoa
whoa whoa should be. Now you're ling from sounds like
I'm stealing. It's like I'm stealing from God. You make
it sound awful like that, buddy, you would just stand
up by a long list of indictments over the last
few Did we not have nuns right down the street

(09:13):
from us here that it pilfered hundreds of thousands of
dollars for Vegas trips? Go look at folks that that
story happened and came to fruition here. But it's just
the way you're you're making it sound right. I mean,
there's a lot of peacocking. Let's leave that for St. Peter's.
In the nine win over Kentucky, Congratulations Shaheen Holloway, who

(09:36):
was an outstanding player back in the day at Seaton Hall.
I bet if I looked in one of my bins
here I gotta figure out how to best display these things.
I have a mini ball signed by him all those
years ago. Wow, Okay, there you go. That's not that.
That's great. My win is is you know, clinching the tournament.
Your win is that. So it's okay, Well, there's a
giant astros that's yours. In terms of Chevsky, don't because

(10:01):
think about how badly you will m F. Saschowsky tomorrow
if he loses, not only as you have the long
rivalry he and Bayheim and the fact that they waxed
you um multiple times uh this year, and and look
he had to succeed and pre proceed to survive and
advanced kind of thing. Uh back in the tournament before
they got a house by Virgini attack. But uh without

(10:23):
Buddy Beehive, of course. But you know that grudge, that residual,
long standing hatred that you have him is really gonna
come out on a Friday night. It's gonna be great
theater if that it's gonna be, it's gonna be him losing,
and then the fans are gonna storm the court, and
he's gonna grab the microphone to talk, and he's gonna
yell at everybody to get off the court. Oh it's
just to see that, just that his head spinning around,

(10:43):
going hey, get away from me, Hey, get back up
in the stands. I want to talk to everybody. I mean,
that would be worth it. If they lose, that would
be worth it. There's no question to be right. Let
me just add one last thing here. As U c
l A holds on last desperation heaves uh Tiger Campbell
huge down the stretch. Fifty seven fifty three is your final.
You see l A survive in advance. Mccronin the six

(11:06):
year extension doesn't look as h as awful for the moment.
But we're watching right. The eyebrows are up like with
the rock. But here's the other thing. If U c
l A had lost here, I would have stopped watching
the tournament. I would have been watching diners, drive ins
and dives for the rest of the weekend and I
would have been done because that was another one of

(11:27):
my final four squads. Because look, you get no Laurel
Crowns for out running a borough. And in the end,
it's all about good predictive and having fun with it
and saying a little bit of chaos mixed therein, which
is why I had a four and a five seed
getting to the final four. But I dare say, if
you go back and look at the expert host whatever
you're gonna call it, roll call, a lot of folks

(11:49):
would have had you U C. L A As one
of those final four teams. So everything would have been
blown up. You want to talk about, uh Jason being
able to put on a Jester cap or dress like
a Apricon dancing around today. By the way, extra fifth
screen viewing today, the leper Con marathon was on. I

(12:09):
was watching a little leprechn back to the Hood earlier today,
which is the one with Jennifer Anniston, the second the
first one. The first one is Jenniferison the original Leprecn alright, alright,
very good, Okay, I always knewhoo and Jennifer and says,
what was it LEPrecon? Because then they started promoting it like, hey,
Jennifer Aniston in Lepricon Jennifer Andiston is the Leprechn wait Lepricot, No,

(12:33):
but it sounds better. You'll see the war with David
in Star Wars as the len Lepricon is a bad guy,
right and lepric He's a murderous little So it's kind
of like a lot of great one liners because I've
never seen that. So he's kind of like Chucky, but
he's a LEPrecon. Yeah, it's great, alight, smartass one liners
and uh well, just like every other in the horror

(12:57):
slashers genre, creative ways to people. Did they play the
Notre Dame fight song while he is running after? They
did not get the rights that that that that coul
That would be great, like seeing the lepricn running after
somebody with some kind of weapon. That that there's this

(13:17):
tag team partner Lou Holtz. Yeah, and then the chase
goes actually through the stadium and they're going through the ends,
and then and then the starting screaming out, hey, hey
I'm cleaning up here. Hey we're doing Rooney too, what
are you doing? Oh? That would be on that that
The series then had to end when they hired Charlie

(13:38):
White because he refused to oh you see that, and
he didn't want to recruit, he didn't want to hobnob,
he didn't want to promote. See Be sure to catch
live editions of The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon

the greatest arena on Earth. Every game, match, race, and
competition it is always on. Whoever you root for, whatever

bigger in Vegas. So make sure right now n c
A tournament. Murray State with the lead over San Francisco
seventy three to seventy with less than thirty seconds left
to go. Bill Russell has thirty eight points. It is
a big night right now for the University of San Francisco,
who have just tied it with their fourth straight three.

(14:45):
The dawns Now tie it at seventy three apiece, fifteen
seconds left to go. Uh, looks like Murray State's gonna
get one final shot before we get to overtime. They
call a time out after dribbling across half court, wasting
a about six seconds. Sean Moran ready to check in
for these finals. Sixteen seconds. He's still He's still got

(15:05):
some eligibility. I mean he'll still he's still can come
in here and do a little bit still ice cold
right there, that's step back. Well, there's no there, there's
no other kind of three. It's always a cold blooded
three and ice cold free. There's never well, I get there.
There's heat check threes, but usually every cheek. But this
one game on the line, you're down three. Shot clock
is at zero, and you well might have done a

(15:28):
little Jordan's like, move on, Russell with a little bush,
just get your separations, step back during the three. I'm
calling it ice cold. Yeah, hit ice water in the veins.
It's cold. You have threes here in the final minute
are always a cold blooded Okay, you can like you
can be hot both sides. Yeah to add on and
yeah yeah yeah yeah. In the middle of the game

(15:49):
you get hot, you know, in the second half he
get hot. But in the final minute, no, it's ice cold.
It's these are cold blooded threes. That's what it is. Okay,
just making sure cold blooded threes what it was, or daggers,
that's all it's. It's either cold blooded threes or daggers
are the only kinds of threes there are. Does anybody
try to claim that they were the first to yell dagger,
dagger with the d that's still Bill Raftree, right, is

(16:12):
still the dagger? Well that was onions. No, but I
think he's onions and the daggs. Was he dagger too?
I think he's onions and dagger. Okay, well good for him.
I think daggers. That sounds like something I would eat
at a restaurant, the dagger and onions all it's so good, man, dude,
you got to get the can I get the dagger
without it? Now, I'll get the dagger with onions. It
sounds pretty good. So you get some sort of fried

(16:33):
onion dish that has a dagger in it. I don't know.
Dagger could be something, could be some kind of could
be a cut of meat, could be a kind of pasta.
I don't know. Dagger and onions. I think I'm gonna
something to dagger and then a show. I got the
moves like dagger. I got that you'd beat dagger harmon
I think daggers are pretty underrated name for I should
dagger in the morning. Yeah, because like like like what

(16:56):
was what was Oh my god, what was the soap
opera that Antonio so Bato Junior was on and his
name was Jagger. Oh yeah, I forget. I gotta ask
my wife showing I'm an Tonio Sobato Junior. Oh, she
loved Antonio Sobato j You want you want to grant
Antonio Sobo He was our general hospital. That's a general hospital.
I'll give you a big Antonio Sobato Junior story before

(17:18):
you get to John Calipari. So about fifteen, fifteen, seventeen
years ago when I was producing a show called Sports
List for Fox Sports one. Now it's what's Fox Sports won?
And uh, it was in between my time as when
I was a host here at Fox Sports Radio and
before I got my gig at ESPN, So I probably
produced TV for a long time. And my friend called me, Hey,

(17:40):
you want to come to produce this, help us and
do the show. So yeah, sure, no problem. What is it?
He goes, It's like I love the eighties, But for sports,
we do top ten lists. We interview at We interview
celebrities and athletes and put them together. Yeah great. So
the best part was we all got to interview athletes.
When they would come in. You would sign up to
interview the athletes. You wanted to. It was it was like,
you know, if you whoever you wanted to talk who
you would sign up and you would put your name

(18:01):
next to him. And so because they wanted you to
talk to somebody that you knew their career, you knew
who they were, they didn't want so many times I
don't know who you are. So I signed up for
the cool ones, right, I signed up for um Rick Flair.
I was like, I saw it for all the cool ones, right,
like all right, great? And then Antonio Sobato Junior was
there and I told my wife, I go, oh, I
gotta sign up for Antonio Sobato Junior because she loved
and loved him, loved him. So I I then and

(18:23):
one of the one of the booker says to me,
you know who he is, right, I go, yeah, of
course I know. Antonio Sabato Junior was Jagger. He said, oh, great, great, great,
so I I so I. So I get him and he,
you know, he comes to the studio for the interview
and to say I meet him at the elevator to
bring him into the room. Right, And so everybody apparently
I didn't know this, but all the women that work
knew that I would that Antonio Sobato Junior was coming in,

(18:46):
so I come, I go get him at the elevator
and he comes in, and this is a good looking dude. Man,
Oh my god, I wish I looked like him. Like
he's wearing like the expensive dress shirt and the ripped
jeans and he's just a god. Like this guy is
really good looking. Right, So I walk up and say, hey,
we're gonna talk about this. He's a big race car fan.
We're gonna do this. He was, yeah, yeah, great, great, great,

(19:07):
Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. I come
around the corner right before we're supposed to walk into
the studio, and every single woman that works there was
finding a reason to stand right out there and pretend
to do something while Antonio Junior. I'm like, this is
everybody that works here. Well, okay, now I know how
good looking he is because they're all like pretending to

(19:27):
find a way to do something so they can see
him as they brought him into the studio. That's pretty good.
Everybody's standing around get cutting deals in the hallway, like
I need your signature, but I need it right here
next to this, next to the bathroom door or the
janitor's closet. I mean, I mean, really, I'm like, where

(19:47):
is everybody? They're all right here, They're all and they're
all there's there's like fifteen or twenty people just standing
around talking, just standing around the copy or they're standing
around a desk gonna just talking. There's nobody anywhere else.
Everybody is just right there because Antonio Sabato Jr. Came in.
Oh my goodness. What would have been funny is if
you then asked him about playing the role of Jagger

(20:09):
and he told you to beat it. Oh, yeah, he
might have. I'm not going to talk about that. I'm
not talking about that. Lee breaks the camera and he
walks out. Now he was a nice. Now he's a
nice cursing out all the women waiting now waiting to
come on autograph show, Fox Sports Radio. That Jason Spitzer
with my car, and yeah, there you see. You and
I can have a long conference. That's why I knew

(20:29):
we'd be best friends. We can have this kind of
conversation about Antonio Sabato. I watched a lot of General Hospital.
If there wasn't Cubs Baseball on when I got home
from school, it was General Hospital. Uh so, with the
Kentucky lost night, which is clearly looked the biggest and
most shocking upset in the n c A today. Uh.
I know he signed that big contract a couple of

(20:52):
years ago, right the ten year, eighty six million dollar deal.
He can end his career as a head coach at
Kentucky if he'd win the championship this year. I don't
know when Calipari is gonna win another one. This is
a really good team. They were a really good two seed.
The SEC was really competitive this year, and you're talking
about the best team in the SEC over the course

(21:13):
of the regular season. Uh, they played extremely well and
here they go out in the first round in a
huge upset. If I'm Calipari, this is the moment where
I sit back and I go have I maxed out
here at Kentucky? Am I really going to win again?
Because it's been a long time since he won the
final and then went to the final and lost and
then lost in the final four. It's been ten years

(21:36):
and ten years of McDonald's all Americans and guys coming
for one year and then going to the NBA succeed
and proceed. I know he's got a lot of money coming,
but what you want to accomplish as a basketball coach.
This is the moment where I go, if I'm Calipari,
have I maxed out here? I mean, am I really
ever gonna win here again? This is a great year
to do it, and I couldn't even get out of
the first round. You know, it's not that it's such

(21:57):
a disheartening moment, but it's more a reality check of
this is kind of where I'm at right now because
every year Kentucky is good, Like they had a bad
year last year, but every other year for the last decade,
they're all twenty six and seven, twenty five and four,
twenty eight and four. I mean, there's still good teams
and they're making it to the tournament, but he's going
out in the regional semifinals or in the regional final.
And it's just not been more success that a guy

(22:21):
like Calipari should have with this program. And you can
you can nitpick his coaching and look, I can look
at it and say, how do you not have a
better play called up for the end of regulation? I mean, really,
you have a mismatched down low. You don't you don't
and you don't get them the ball. I mean, you
can do that, but you can do that for a
lot of coaches in the tournament. But this is just
an overall if you couldn't win now here, are you
really ever gonna win? And if you want to go

(22:43):
to the NBA, is now the time to finally do that?
Is now the time to go someplace else? Do whatever?
Is now that time? Because this is that take stock
moment where if I'm Calipari, That's what I'm thinking. I
don't know if that'll ever win here again. I I
don't I've had great players and I'm just not any clothes.
I'm not even in the final four, and and there's
a bigger there's a higher standard, and I'm just not

(23:04):
doing it. I don't know that I'm ever gonna win again. Yeah,
it's the curiosity right of what is the next step?
Because where are you gonna go that they're gonna have
the I mean, I guess the the old new challenge
kind of thing, but the new challenge here is to
win the title. You're winning twenty five or more games
all but two years since he's been at Kentucky, guy's

(23:26):
got a seven eighty five winning clip. Think about that.
A hundred hundred one. Now. Now, look, it's it's a
decade since the title. And I guess we do this
with all of the greats, right, because even with Shazewski, like, alright,
he's got five, right, and then you look at is
Oh you look at beheid Uh you look you look

(23:48):
at all Bill self. Just go through all the the
best coaches that we've had for your and and my adulthood.
Most of them are are at one. Maybe they got
that second one, but otherwise, I mean, it's hard to win.
It's like Super Bowls. If your name amed Brady or
Manning or Rothsburger, it's tough getting back. There's a lot

(24:09):
of one one and dunes at least the last thirty
years in in the NFL, but certainly college buckets getting
through the grind that is the n c Double A tournament.
It's a it's a different animal, right, recruiting and coaching.
It's kind of like watching I'll just take the Big
Ten for college football, right, there's a lot of um
cannibalization over the course of a year, right, battle tested,

(24:32):
and you recruit because you've got to get through the conference.
But then all of a sudden, all right, we got
that matchup with that SEC school. Yeah, we don't have
that much speed. We're really gonna have problem holding down
those white same thing here, you know you can you
can scheme for one game and you know, any given
Sunday kind of mentality. So for Calipari, it would be
all right, what what are you gonna do that's gonna
match what you've got? Now, you're a great recruiter. Every

(24:55):
year there's a new crop of guys coming into two
take you to an elevate and you get them to
the NBA and get them NBA ready, which is, you know,
something that shouldn't be understated and all of it right,
there's still that part of the coaching aspect because he's
got players all over the place. Would they have been
the same guys after without passing through there? Maybe maybe not.

(25:17):
Maybe something got uh imparted by his wisdom there which
didn't translate to an n C Double A title. But
going back to the NBA, is anybody gonna want him
back in the NBA and moving to another college job?
Why would you want to go make things harder for yourself?
I just don't you know? It would be more the
NBA than anything else. Yeah, I think we more than

(25:39):
NBA than anything else, because yeah, you could go like
where else, You're gonna go bigger than Kentucky. I get that,
but uh yeah, but you also don't know what the
pressure is gonna be. Hey, we could buy you out
of that contract, John, we didn't. We didn't sign you
to this deal. So you can go nine and fourteen
like you did last year and then lose in the
first round this year. Is you don't know what kind
of pressure there's gonna be a Kentucky where I gotta
get out before I get pushed out. But I'm gonna

(26:01):
walk before they make me run. See you've been listening
to some stones on the side, I can see. But
who because always recruiting guys are going with him wherever
he goes. Well, maybe now he's calling the Lakers going, Hey,
remember when I was rumored for that job ten years ago.
I'm ready for that job. Now I'm ready to come
to l A and Ron James want me to be
the coach? Or are you just gonna decide? Phil Jackson

(26:23):
is coming down from the booth. Be sure to catch
live editions of The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon

(26:46):
and all the interesting interactions along the way. We talked
to coaches, we talked to players, We tell you stories.
You download it, you listen to it. I think you
like it. Listen to All Ball with Doug Gotlieb on
the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcast or wherever you
get your podcast. Gotta listen to the whole show. Oh,

(27:07):
turn it up, let it go. I want to say
Axel Roses in this video and here it comes Fox
Sports Radio the Jason Smith Show with my best friend
Mike arm and again got a list of the whole show. Uh,
the action is over. In overtime, Murray State takes care
of Bill Russell and San Francisco so close. Meanwhile, Campas

(27:30):
just continues to obliterate with a big victory over Texas Southern.
So everything is in the books. Will have more on
the tournament coming up in a few minutes, but uh, look, clearly,
the big news today in the NFL was huge deal,
and we talked about this a lot. Uh. Davonte Adams
is traded to the Raiders. According to late reports, the

(27:52):
Packers offered even more money than the Raiders did. But
it was Adam's lifetime dream to be a Raider. Is
that spin to make it look like a bad guy? Yeah,
it's my lifetime dream to be a Raider. Okay, alright,
forget about the dream part of his funny but just

(28:13):
from the money side, do you buy it? Uh? No?
They how can they give? Really had enough to give
Aaron Rodgers fifty million a year and now they have
enough to give Davanta Adams that kind of money. Yeah,
we got half our salary cap tied up in two guys. Yeah.
I don't know about that. I don't know about that.
But here's the thing part of this reaction. Look, there's
a great Aaron Rodgers angle this to get to. There's

(28:35):
a great Packers angle is to get to. But here's
a hot take for you, and it's really not that hot.
The Raiders are still the fourth best team in the
a f C West. They're still the worst team in
the division. Now worst is relative because they've improved. They
were a good team last year. They got better, but
this a f C West. I mean, you look at
what it is. Man, They're gonna have to put their
those games on their own pace scale. Hey, listen, you

(28:57):
want the NFL rights, that's great. You want a f
C West rights, that's gonna be even more money than
it normally is. Um, they're still the fourth best team,
all right, because the Chargers, who are the best team,
and the Broncos both did what they had to do
this offseason, and that's what's our big Achilles heel, and
they turned that into a huge strength. The Chargers turned

(29:19):
their defense into hey, they cost some games to Now,
good luck trying to stop the Charges, right with Khalil
mac now lineup behind Joey Bose and now j C.
Jackson's a shutdown corner. Good luck? Right, The Broncos had
a terrific defense with the best defense of the National Footballing.
Their offensive is awfully had no quarterback. They go get
Russell Wilson. Both those big negatives have become big pluses.

(29:40):
The Chiefs are still the Chiefs, right, They're still terrific.
It's still Mahomes, it's Kelsey, it's Hill. You know, they're
co Can you to improve the offensive line and the
Raiders still have the fourth best quarterback in the division. Right.
As good as Derek Carry is, he's better than I
thought he would be. He's kind of the periphery top Tennis,
top twelve kind of quarterback, which is fine, that's good,
and generally that's good enough to win, but not in

(30:02):
this division. So you look at the other two teams
that I just talked about that that turned their negatives
into positives, and the fact that all the quarterbacks are
better than Derek Carr. I'm not taking Derek Carr to
shoot out against any of these teams. The Raiders had
to go get Davontae Adams. I get it, because you
gotta keep up and you're gonna get left behind. So
I get why they did it, and I understand it.
It's a great move to get him, But in the end,

(30:24):
you're gonna be still be the worst team in the
division because you got the fourth best quarterback and you
still aren't as good as the other teams ahead of you.
So yeah, it was it was a move they had
to do. But I'm not buying the Raiders. I still
think they're the worst team in the division. See, I
don't know that he's fourth Actually, I don't think he's fourth.
I think your boy, Russell Wilson is fourth. Look at you.
That's a hot take from you. You're a Russell take.

(30:46):
You just hate you hate Mr. Mr. You hate you,
you hate you hate you hate Mr Mr, Mr un
Li Mr. You just Mr. Just hate Mr. Mr. Mr.
You gotta be unlimited. You hate Mr. Lib. I don't
hate him. I just think maybe we're overvaluing what he

(31:06):
is and what the offense is on the Denver side
of things. Look, that defense is great, there's no question
about it. But you saw what the Las Vegas Raiders
have already done defensively. Now we're Jordan's Schultz reporting just
a couple of minutes ago that there's an offer in
to add Stefan Gilmour perhaps to that. Oh, I want

(31:26):
to call him Oakland again, Las Vegas Secondary. So add
that you already brought in Chandler Jones, you paid Max Crosby.
I'm just saying, bring in Davante Adams, pair him up
with with Waller and Renfrow. I could fight that they
might be to a in that with the Chargers on top,
and then we can quibble about the Chiefs and the

(31:51):
Raiders ahead of the Just tell me you hate Russell Wilson.
Just tell me you don't like I don't hate him.
I don't hate him. I just I've watched a lot
of films. See this is why you know I should
dart throw Like guys that didn't watch any Seattle Seahawks games.
I remember what Russell Wilson was when he had the
Legion of Boom and everything else he's had DK Metcalf

(32:11):
and Tyler Lockett. I don't care. You know when fourth one,
when he had a great defense. He's got a great
defense again. I don't think he has the offensive guys
though he hed r Mr Mr Mr Williams. I'm not
sold on those wide receivers. The third guy is the

(32:34):
guy like most Tim Patrick. He's been a guy that's
hung on our fantasy team now for the last two
and a half a year. Him every week it's do
I do we play Tim Patrick? Do? He thought want
and reliable? Hey, he's in much better shape now. I'll
give you that how many wins? That translates to yeah,
I don't know. Yeah. You just don't like Mr Unlimited.

(32:58):
You gotta be unlimited. You don't like him, you don't
like him. You think he's Mr Mr, Mr Mr. He's
Mr Limited, that's what you think. He is twittered out
about a FRESCA Mike gets swollen dome. Uh, I feel
pretty confident telling me where Deshaun Watson's gonna end up.

(33:19):
It's coming up next right here. This is Fox Sports Radio, Mr, Mr,
