to a big positive positivity here on a Tuesday, on
cutdown Day in the NFL. On the second but a
little more in the Micah Parsons story, he brought up
(01:12):
a few minutes ago that Brian Schottenheimer, Cowboys head coach, says, yeah,
I still expect Micah Parsons for Opening Night against the Eagles,
but maybe we have to cut back a little bit
on him, depending if he's ready or not. There's daily
trade rumors. Now, this is what happens now, right, what
happens next? If Micah Parsons again continues to really want
to get trained and things are really bad, the next
(01:34):
move is his And this is where he has to
leave the Cowboys before the regular season starts, right, because
if he says I'm doing my hold in and all
of this, like he can be powdy and land a
table and all these things he wants, if he's gonna
come and play for the Cowboys, then why the hell
should Jerry Jones give him more money? Why should Jerry
Jones meet whatever demand he's got. You lose leverage when
(01:57):
you do that, right. It's like when you work for
a play and they offer you a contract for less
money and you take it. If they are if they
offer you, they never have to pay you again because well,
you took less money this time, you'll take less money
the next time time. After that, we're never gonna offer
you more money, right, Like, this is the whole thing
for Micah Parsons. If he shows up and plays well,
(02:19):
why is Jerry Jones ever have to extend him give
him more money. But if I'm not gonna play, if
I'm not gonna be if I if I leave the team,
then you then then you have that decision to make.
Do you want me to sit out? Do you want
to give it, you want to get back to the
bargaining table, whatever it is. But the next move in
this is Micah Parsons and it's gotta be sometime in
the next week where he's got to say I'm not
playing until I get my contract and I'm away from
(02:41):
the team. He's been with the team enough. I think
everybody understands the business side of it, and it's bad.
Ceedee Lamb would understand, Dak Prescott would understand, Iszegil Elliot
would understand. All the Cowboys that got paid. But the
next move is his. He has to say I'm leaving
the team and I'm not back until I get paid. Yeah,
that's the hard part.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Has been playing a little bit with a well the
tight back, the hammy. You can only do that so long, right,
And those are things that are easily you know, you
can hide around because they're not showing up necessarily on
any of the scans and any of the tests you're doing.
But you know, it's dirty business. We're starting to go
down that path in terms of you know, just be
(03:18):
honest with it. If you're unhappy, yes, penny wise, you know, hey,
you get to keep that fifty thousand dollars a day.
The way the contract works, you would get it back.
But even if you were to lose it, I think
you'll be okay in the tens of millions of dollars
that are eventually going to come your way. To stand
on principle and just be done with it, so, you know,
(03:39):
continuing this dance and being around the team. At some
point the team's tired of it too, right. That's that's
the other part of it. As much as they want
him on the field because he's clearly their best player
on both sides of the ball, as much as we
love CD and Dack when everything's right, still need a
run game, But all of that to say, he's your
best player and you're better on the field, but by
(04:03):
how much? And I know the EPA is And I
know there's a bunch of data deta points, but in
terms of wins and losses, isn't that huge a difference? No,
because you haven't built a great team around him on
the defensive side, so there's only so much he's gonna
be able to do. But all of that to say,
at some point you recognize and Jerry always has this one.
(04:25):
It's the next documentary that we need, the next piece
of what is it about this situation that vexes you?
So why do you hate whatever Micah's coordination is with
Muga Leta that much that it creates this level of division?
Speaker 1 (04:43):
He simply thought, I it's been the same blueprint for
every negotiation. Players get a little upset, they hold out,
I talk to the media, and we get it done.
But not every player get Not every player is the same.
And you could think that you're loving that sense of
security because well, work with Dak, but if he'd worked
with Ezekiela. But eventually, and this is what I said,
(05:04):
everybody loses their fastball at some point, and Micah Parsons
is the guy that is showing you Jerry Jones could
be losing his fastball because this is the one that
he's going to lose, and it's the most important player.
He's got a sign which is the best defensive player
in the NFL, and he's going to lose. Everybody's now,
you got to know who you're dealing with. You gotta
know who you're talking to. You got to understand that
sometimes when you do things that decisions have consequences. And
(05:28):
you think I've seen all the consequences in fortieth, No,
it happens again. Everybody loses their fastball at some point,
and this could be that moment for Jerry Jones.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
And again you got a guy in Micah that is emotional,
clearly laying down on a table again could just be
bad nachos, but let's call it what it is, staring
up at the ceiling and pondering the meaning of life.
But you've got the agent that everybody points to you
as the guy right now, Muga Letta. Again with contracts
and all the guaranteed moneies. It all comes back to
(06:00):
him being able to strong arm Jimmy Haslam and the
Cleveland Browns for all of that. And every one of
the NFL owners has been salty ever since. Right A
few of them said it said the quiet, part out
loud Baltimore and a couple others in the moment, which
again probably should have gotten them. Fine whatever, just like
we talked about with Jerry right now in the way
(06:21):
he tried to handle things with Micah. But you know,
we're we're what it's eleven thirty. Yeah at this point, right,
it's no longer. Hey, we'ren't getting into the final art No, no,
you got a game against the defending champions.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Yeah, you're in pre division. Yeah, you're getting setting up
a week season a week. Yeah, you're getting you're getting
your puttet. How it goes? Man? Uh? Now, because we're
getting ready with the first year head. Yes, yeah, who
shouldn't have the job. But dude, come on, nobody else
was hiring the guy. Nobody else was hiring the six
one chat that happens in all we had him and
(06:53):
let him go.
Speaker 4 (06:54):
That's it shows you where we're acting like you guys
wouldn't rehire a week. You see Leveon Bell's tweet today? No,
oh my goodness, No, what did he tweet?
Speaker 5 (07:03):
No?
Speaker 1 (07:04):
I didn't really you didn't see this?
Speaker 6 (07:05):
No?
Speaker 1 (07:05):
I did them?
Speaker 4 (07:06):
Bowling with the better sign pointed out bowling Adam Gase's meetings.
The story out there that he went bowling the night
before a game and they said he was sick, or
he said he was sick, but he really wasn't. He
just didn't want to go. He didn't go to Adam
Gaye's meetings or something. I don't want to play for
the j I get.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
I don't know that I would want to go into
any of Adam Gase's meetings. I forget. I told you
the day they hired him. What are we doing? What
are we doing? Why? I told you? And I told
you he would never work again after the Jets fired him? Right?
And what has he worked again?
Speaker 2 (07:41):
No?
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Has it worked? I told you, I told you never
worked again. He's never going to work again. He's that
was that big of a disaster, which I don't know
that that. I mean, the Jets have been digging out
of that for years, have been digging out of Adam Gase. Adam,
I gotta bring that up. Why are gonna do that
to me? Man? I want to be able to be
a positivity here on a Tuesday and cutdown day. Give
(08:03):
me that. Hey, hey, thank you for beating the Reds
again again?
Speaker 3 (08:07):
By Bell also had a tweet and said, here's a
picture of Sam Hartman when he got waved. Did they
look like a cross between Matt Lioner and Billy may
his hay I think he was thinking of Billy Jack Haynes,
Billy May. He kind of looks like Ryan Day a
little bit too, like you far away. He kind of
looks like Ryan Day.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
Sad Ryan Day.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
Uh yeah, sad Ryan Day, Yeah, said Ryan Day. When
you get that painting. Yeah, has a national championship ever
meant less to a head coach than Ohio State winning
the national title last year.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
And uh back to last night for a second. Sure,
he's definitely a band. He's not going that's I.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Mean that really, that is unreal that I can't but Dave,
Dave Portnoy and and they must love the fact that
Fox f S one has been showing Michigan Ohio State
the last couple of nights on college football. Uh bo,
it doesn't end good for Ryan Day. It ends with
It ends with Michigan trying to plant their flag in
the middle of the feel that's how it is. I
(09:02):
really I understand the whole ride. I get it, But
Dave Portnoy is part of Fox's College Game Day crew,
Like they're not telling Pat McAfee ESPN and Pat McAfee
you can't come to campus, but they're telling you can't
bring him there, and he's been that's amazing. This is
such an I can't get over there and chaos. I
(09:24):
can't get over that. I really can't. I can't. I can't,
you know what. I can't get on but I can't
go over of letting them come in. Yeah, but how
petty Ohio State looks like they're not a team coming
off winning the national championship, Like, oh, hey, we're coming
off the season where we're licking our wounds and we
were two and twelve and you're gonna bring this out
and bring us that out, Like that's how. That's how
petty Ohio Ohio State's ad spin job. If you want
(09:47):
to hear it, Okay, go aheadt's hear who said spin job? Yeah? Yeah.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
They confirmed that Fox decided that Dave Portnoy would not
be on the main desk of Big Noon Kickoff, and
those not on the desk do not normally appear on
the field a Fox's decisions.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
He emphasized, really, really okay, whatever, whatever, man, I mean,
I don't know. I don't know to say that this
is that's just so silly. This whole thing is just
so silly.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
I really it's I told you that mascot ruse or
the fake mustache.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
Uh oh, I like oo?
Speaker 3 (10:23):
And do they have no recognition software that'll keep her
stallions out?
Speaker 1 (10:29):
Maybe? Okay, maybe it's both of them as the mascots
or the no and they're like they get two of
them and Harbaugh do like the sausage race, Like there's
the three of them in the big ones they run
around all the way from one under.
Speaker 4 (10:42):
The end of the If no, no, it was a cereal,
it would be called softies.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
Oh no, nothing but marshmallows. Maybe come on, I am
for Portnoy doing the mascot thing, because then we don't
know if it's him, Like, we'll know if it's him,
if it's a guy, you know the mustache and yeah,
I like I like them.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
As I told you, it looked like Jesse Hughes from
the Eagles and Death Metal Love.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Nobody knows who that is.
Speaker 4 (11:10):
Nobody knows that one person, not one person, like you
don't even know who that is my imagination.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
That's not a real band dare you now? So again
we had Micah Parsons and we had this ridiculous story.
But again, want to be full of positivity on a Tuesday, right,
So coming up next, this is what I'd rather bowl
than watch the Jets Adam Gase offense. It was such
(11:36):
a disaster. Yeah, I don't know, I don't know. I
don't know how years that many years that took off
my life. And I think, you know we need you now.
I don't need you when you're We had we had
Jason Cole on the show tonight. I remember having a
conversation with him saying, when the Jets fire Adam Gase,
this is such a disaster. He's never gonna work again.
(11:59):
And and and I remember Jason, No, someone's gonna hire
him after He's never gonna work in Has Adam gatese
worked again? Number one A. He's richest blank so he
doesn't need to, but like, has he ever? I mean,
it's it was such a disaster. That was such a disaster.
Even Brandon Staley's worked again.
Speaker 4 (12:14):
I even even he's working, come on, mane.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
He's back in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
So I just Adam Gates, this is the greatest and again.
This this is its internet is gold AI Overview. What
is Adam Gase doing now? According to a Reddit thread,
Oh that's good.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
According to a.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
Reddity, he's the assistant equipment manager for the Denver.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
So cold. Yeah, I got it. Man AI's got AI
has That's great? All right? So again Positivity Tuesday. What
are we gonna do? Coming up next? We are going
to pay homage here on a day where a lot
a lot of people had their NFL dreams and to
the three play that kept us afloat NFL wise the
(13:04):
last two and a half months, all through the preseason.
The three players that gave us the most storyline, the
most drama, the most attention. We need to thank them.
The metals stand. We're gonna rank them from Bronze, Silver,
and gold medalists. Who are the three players that we
need to thank the most for the content of the

for him week one against the Browns two hundred and
sixty two and a half. I'm going way over. The
Bengals offense is loaded, They're ready to go. They have
a lot to prove. They have looked sharp in the preseason.
(14:07):
They're gonna throw the ball all over the field. These
games are usually high scoring. Give me an over for
Joe Burrow. Two hundred and sixty two and a half
yards passing week one.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
Doesn't have to be a lead for a season, but
he will for one day. Flacco on the other side
of that game two hundred and thirty two and a
half yards against a deplorable, toothless Bengals defense.
Speaker 1 (14:28):

I would say wait for it, but I know what's
gonna happen, so don't wait for it. Don't wait for it,
don't wait for it. Here we go. Mary wants me
to buy food tomorrow. That's what it is. Mary wants
(16:34):
me to buy food for everybody tomorrow. No Fox Sports Radio,
The Jason Smith Show with my best friend Mike Harmon.
Now we'll get to the uh appreciation moment in about
ninety seconds, but first I need to do this for
my dad. Now, last time all I told a story
about my dad about trivia, or I told my story
(16:56):
my dad last night about how he got caught watching
a replay of game this weekend and he thought it
was current. It was a replay of the game last year.
And when I told that story he said to me today,
he goes, oh, yeah, that's good. Tell him. Tell me
you're a Glaciers story. And I'm like, oh, so, I'm like,
in fair and fairness, I do need to tell this story.
Let me be her hero. So so Trivia on Sunday night. Yea,
(17:19):
we won, right, so everything turned out fine. So the
question was that we got at one point and I'm
the one writing down the answers for the team and
everything else, because you know, I'm I'm the captain hero.
The question was? The question was. In the nineteen eighties,
the only one of the top forty albums of the
decade to be released in a language other than English
(17:44):
was by this singer, who also is the father of
another the parent of another popular singer, current modern day
popular singer. Right, so we go, oh, Julio Iglesias, Right,
Julio Lace Okay, great, gotta be Julio Iglesias and Rique Iglesias. Okay.
Eighties was big for Julioglacias. Great, So I write it
(18:05):
down handed in and handed in. He goes, all right,
great and he says he said he's so he wait
a couple of minutes. He he goes, okay, now the answer,
of course is Julio Iglesias. He goes for the team
that wrote Josea Glacias. I gave you half credit, and
I go, did I write? I wrote?
Speaker 2 (18:24):
Come on?
Speaker 1 (18:26):
And they look at me and then look go and
one of the guys we did. My friend Jeff goes,
who did that? And I go, I did. I'm sure
I did. I'm sorry because he go why, And then
the women our team goes, why did you write Hosea
A Glacier? Go because Hosea I Glacias, who has played
for the Mets last year. He was this big player.
He's a singer. He's a singer. He got a song, Candelita.
(18:47):
He was OMG. And I just wrote Josea Glacias instead
of Julio. You get the bell of shame shame. And
my dad goes, if we lose because of that, you're
walking home. I go, I drove tonight, I drove you here.
This doesn't matter's strong army and take your keys. I
don't I can't believe I wrote Jose Glaciers. I just wrote, Hose, Yeah, yeah,
(19:09):
I wrote you got to leave the Mets brain at home.
I known every once in a while it was tough, man,
it was tough.
Speaker 3 (19:14):
It doesn't no favors on most days, certainly not there
the Mets are doing favors.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
Bring your parabolic microphone to that.
Speaker 3 (19:23):
He was, Frank, That's how we wanted, that's how we won.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
So there you go. So in in in the event
of equal time, my Jose Glaciers mistake might be my
U my Halloween costume.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
Ye al Frank and build the antenna.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
So with cutdown day in the NFL today, it's a
very difficult day. We saw lots of guys getting let
go and you know, dreams are are being shattered. Hopefully
guys will get another chances across the rest of the league.
But I want to say, as the official end of
the preseason, because now we're on fifty three man roster
is getting ready for the regular season, there are three
(20:03):
players to have a positivity Tuesday that we need to
thank with an appreciation moment for the content they have
given us during the NFL presears.
Speaker 3 (20:12):
I give you an honorable mention. Sure I have a
pretty good suspicion as to where we're going. Now let
me let me say so, because this is about in
the preseason. Now, there's less starters playing games, there's less
start there's less storylines coming off of games because less
people are playing, so we need more storylines. These three
people have are the metal stand of bronze, silver and
(20:32):
gold medal of providing us content the last two and
a half months. So your honorable mention, honorable mention Aaron
Rodgers for saying nothing, Okay, for shutting the hell off
all right, Okay, so that was good for me and
my mental health because I know how much it vetched
you the last couple of years as he was with
your jets even before then, that we'd all had enough
(20:56):
of him. I was gonna say something else, but I
wasn't sure if the dump button would find me properly
bleep it out. Okay, So all of that to say,
by doing nothing and Mike Tomlin and everybody in Pittsburgh
just getting to work.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
We won. Okay. I'm with you there, I'm I'm with
you on that because I told you, I love the
fact that we didn't talk about him nearly as much
as last coupley, we've had enough with Aaron Rodgers. I'm
okay with that. You got fixated with him at times,
I'm like, he doesn't matter. Yeah, now we're done. Let
him go over there. Now we're done. He had the
fast lane for four years. Now we're done with the
guy Pittsburgh, so see it works. Number three bronze medalist. Okay,
(21:37):
thank you for the content, thank you for hitting a camera,
missing a bag, Thank you Caleb Williams for all of
the content, and Bears fans now being filled with anxiety
that maybe you still stink even though you were pretty
decent during training camp. Oh, what honorable mention in this
(21:58):
story to Tyson Bagent for playing so good during the games.
That really pushes this narrative that maybe Caleb williamstinks. Caleb
Williams clearly storylined once a week we got a good
storyline on maybe Caleb Williams stinks. Who's going to defend him,
who's not going to defend him? He gets the bronze medal?
Who got caught in the cul de sac? More this week?
Speaker 3 (22:18):
And then you pick your favorite media member that they
loved him one day, hated him the next, loved him
the next day, maybe got caught in the middle. They
weren't quite sure. You're trying to figure out what the
numbers are of the houses and you're driving in circles.
That's kind of where we've been with this Caleb Williams
story based on decision by decision and possession to possession.
And even after Friday, everybody's looking at the box score
(22:40):
and they got the touchdowns like yeah, it's good, Like no,
it was not against the ones. They were terrible, And
Ben Johnson came out and said the buy a bart
out loud. I think people are coming around to my
way of thinking. I had a coach that doesn't care.
He's just gonna tell you what it's all about. Now,
as soon as he throws a pass to a tackle,
I'm gonna throw something through my TV. But for what
(23:00):
we've gotten through this preseason, yes, the Bears have been
a gift that keeps on giving.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
We peaked with our seventy six nothing win over the
Bills in Week two, all right, and everything's down though
from there. Silver medal on the stand giving us a
story at least once a week, no no, no more
at least twice a week and obviously in tandem with
someone else, but we gotta we gotta reward the hero
before a reward the villain. Thank you for all the content,
(23:27):
Micah Parsons. Okayah, because we didn't get we wouldn't get
the look we get Jerry Jones content all the time.
We wouldn't have gotten this Micah Parsons, Jerry Jones without
Micah Parsons saying I no longer want to be here.
Here's what Jerry Jones told me and my agent. And
it's been two stories a week about Micah Parsons. Is
he gonna get traded? Is he not? Should Jerry Jones
(23:47):
sign him? Should he not? Should Jerry Jones be doing this?
Should he not? Should Michael Parsons just show up and play?
Should he not? Twice a week we got stuff because
we would get something from Micah, then we get something
from Jerry, then we get something from Jerry twice, so
two eventually, three times a week we would get things.
But thank you, Micah Parsons Silver medalist On and many
other years, Micah Parsons would be number one, except we
(24:09):
have such a special guy this year that Michah Party.
Just a bad year, right, a bad year, but still
the silver medal for Michaeh Parson. I mean in terms of.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
Scrawling stuff out, he did a good job. But where's
his podcast? Been very disappointed? Yeah, I haven't gotten at
least one or but we haven't needed that though, to
not have to put his words into an ai voice.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
When he leaves Cowboys Camp, which he's gonna have to
do if he wants out. Oh, we'll get the podcast.
Then that's the only time that's we'll get the podcast.
Speaker 3 (24:37):
I got things to say, or he just comes out
like Cody Rhodes, what do you all want to talk
about now? I really wanted you because I wanted to
go to the villain side of it at the Jerry
Jones because since it's the silver spot on our metal stand,
even be the silver Tongue devil, so we could sing
a little Chris Christofferson.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
Oh okay, see, I was thinking of the silver Tongue
Prince of the Courtroom. Missed the Billy Flynn. Do we
always get Jerry Jones content? Right?
Speaker 3 (25:06):
Like this is you know Jerry Jones is Jerry Jones
is the singer that sings on everybody else's album, right
like heml Wayne or He's you know, featuring you know
featuring He's He's everywhere.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
But this is this is a Micah Parsons project, right,
this is it's a Micah Parsons project. This is a
Micah Parson pray. He is the eye in the sky
in this storyline. It is Micah park I can read
your mind, mister Gregory Allen and doctor p. So this
is a Micah Parsons song featuring Jerry Jones. Okay, that's
(25:43):
what this is, all right, this is it's an Eminem
song featuring Weanna Right, this is a Beyonce song featuring
this That's what this is. This is a Micah Parsons story.
Speaker 3 (25:54):
As soon as you said Eminem, I'm thinking about stamp
without sing, he always comes back to this.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
Man, why you so mad? So that's number two? Now
number one, Jerry Jerry. The thing is is that I
can say, Okay, here's number one, and right now you're saying, oh,
I know who number one is. This shows you how
big a deal this was. That this person was an
everyday story basically from the draft all the way until today,
(26:25):
where the story is going to keep going because he
was a daily story despite the fact he was not
a starting player despite the fact he is starting third
string at his position. Thank you for the content, should
dor Sanders. I don't know that we would have made
it throughout the summer without you and the daily content
(26:46):
of what are the Browns doing? Are you gonna start?
Are you not? Should you be second string? Should you
be third string? Should you be first string? What are
the Browns doing? Will you make it on the roster?
Will you not? Are you gonna get another speeding ticket?
Are you gonna call out another reporter after a game
when you play well? When you don't play well? Like
every it was a daily thing with your door Sanders
and the Browns. Thank you your door standers for all
(27:07):
of the content.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
You know, the walk up the hill on the street
with the houses as you get towards the school and
the top of the hill, there's a house that had
this really huge, huge orange tree and it would get
so rich. Where is this on the street up up
Burrow by my house? Oh this is where you live?
Speaker 1 (27:29):
Yeah, Because you just started telling a story about a
tree and a walk up a hill and I'm going,
what do you know?
Speaker 2 (27:33):
What are you saying.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
Up the hill my house? Because I'm thinking you're doing
some kind of crazy running up that hill. Sometimes I am.
But when you did a whole by the house with
the tree and the growth, people have to know, this
is my house, Hi, it's your house. There's a tree.
(27:59):
Go ahead.
Speaker 3 (27:59):
So there's a tree that gets really heavy, and there's
a blackstone that doesn't look like it needs to be there,
no earthly presence at all. But it's the kind of
thing where you've got two trees that have now kind
of grown into each other and it gets so overrun,
and you've got oranges that weigh the thing down to
where there's no effort, like it just comes down.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
It just pick one right up.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
That's what Senor Sanders and the Browns did for us
day after there was no effort. Now, there were a
lot of other great stories that we never got to
because that was just there and waiting for you every
day as the world turns, especially with all the hot
take nonsense that flowed and continues to spew around this story,
(28:41):
which is next level stuff. Now, we did get one.
It was a one day story, but it's one that
you need to take with you every other day. So
this guy would be Honorable Mention number two. Honorable honorable mention,
honorable honorable mention. Mike McDaniel. What he reminded us that
we're all one day closer to death? Oh yeah, yeah,
that was a pretty good line. Yeah, but want to
do it from Pig Floyd a little bit? But no, no,
(29:03):
but it's it goes back to the overarching line of
the night.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
Does does that mean you're you're expecting to be fired
at the end of the season, Mike.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
Shoot your shot because you may not have this job
or this podium tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
Does this mean you are no longer buying capri pants
and sneakers? Is what does that mean? Do you think
that means you're no longer endorsing those for whoever you're adoring?
Is lul Lemon no longer outfitting you for the season?
Speaker 6 (29:28):
Mike?
Speaker 1 (29:28):
Can you tell us that? Can you tell us that?
So there you go. There is your metal stand for
positivity A preseason appreciation moment. The bronze medalist Caleb Williams,
the silver medalist Micah Parsons, and the gold medalist Sanders.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
I love gold.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Tell me how to find out what's trending in the
wide world of sports. From Chris Purphet, Chris what do
you got for us tonight? My friend am I on? Okay?
Speaker 5 (30:00):
Sure, you know it's funny. I was just like barreling
you about the Tigers a little bit, and then I
we just witness them get a get a walk off
walk against them by the nameless Athletics. Yeah, you got
you got walked off, walked walked off.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
I think there's a term for it. I've just completely forgotten.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
What it is. It's it's it's a walk off walk.
Speaker 5 (30:25):
Okay, I thought there was something a little more colorful
than that. But sure, what's that loss? Yeah, l L
holding the L right now. Athletics defeat the Tigers seven
to six. Uh More from the Baseball Scoreboard. Dodgers defeat
the Reds six to three. The Padres overcome the Mariners
seven to six. Rangers crushed the Angels seven to three.
(30:48):
The Brewers blew a six run lead, but were able
to come back with a sacrifice fly walk off against
the Diamondbacks nine to eight. The Mets walk off the Phillies. Yes,
your Mets walk off the Phillies. I believe that is
twenty three of twenty nine games the Phillies have lost
in the friendly confines of Queens.
Speaker 1 (31:06):
It's because of that parabolic mic. That's all it is.
The mic is doing it. Jeters Yep, yep, bang bang.
Speaker 5 (31:12):
NFL cutdown eight came in, went to the Giants wave
faan favorite backup quarterback Tommy DeVito. The Seahawks release veteran
wide receiver Marquez Valdez Scantling. The Panthers release Pro Bowl
receiver Hunter Renfro. Commander's moving on from the prettiest quarterback
in the NFL, Sam Hartman. Cowboys cut quarterback Will Greer.
Jets cut sophomore wide receiver Malachite Corley in the US Open.
(31:36):
Some of the notables moving on from round one Egoswayatek
moving on in straight sets, Yannick center in three sets,
Nami Osaka and Coco Goff both move on as well.
And the big news of the night, the biggest news
of the night, the one that nobody can ignore. Travis
Kelcey and Taylor Swift have announced their engagement. Yes that
Travis kelce Back to you guys. It's been fun.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
Thank you very much for this stuff tonight. Man. Uh yeah, Look,
this is a night in which I'll remember the biggest story.
I mean, outside of Brandon nimmo's walk off the engagement
of Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift. Never forget where I
was when I found that out. I was u I
(32:19):
turned my phone on and right away went to uh
Google news where I go, and right right boom, Travis
Kelcey and Taylor Swift are engaged. I'm sure it said
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey because considering it's sports, we're
the only ones that say Travis Kelsey's name first. Everybody
else says Taylor Swift.
Speaker 3 (32:37):
I was in the u I doctor's office waiting out
a coma test.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
Taylor Swift and boyfriend engaged like that's like most of
the that's most of the news. Taylor Swift engaged a boyfriend.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
And then they start talking about their compound and their
house that they'll live in, and land that they've bought
where they'll get married. Everybody's got them going out by
Clooneyville in Lake Coche.
Speaker 1 (32:57):
Taylor Swift to marry NFL star. That's podcast with Jason
went into a big time difference. So that's that's but
coming up next, something to learn from the biggest NFL
story of the day when it comes to superstars
