(00:50):
it is a final in Los Angeles. Lakers beat the
Jazz one thirty two to one thirteen. The Washington Generals
had no shot tonight from the jump. The Lakers and
Luca Donc's first game, We're all over the Jazz. Luca's

(01:11):
stat line twenty four minutes played, fourteen points, five rebounds,
four assists, was one out of seven from three point range,
which was his first game in over a month since December.
But look, all five Lakers starters were in double figures.
Lebron James a near triple double again with twenty four points.
Goodwin has seventeen off the bench, shoots eight out of eleven.

(01:33):
The Lakers have just been rolling. And you know, before
we get to the Luca part of this, just something
we talked about earlier in the show, is that, yes,
this is a huge trade, and obviously you get one
of the top three top four players in the NBA
and Luka Doncics. That's gonna make your team better. But
the other part of this is that sometimes there's the

(01:54):
energy and the clarity of making a trade that energizes
your team, and there's a different energy about the team.
There's a different excitement level midway part of the season
because here we are getting ready for the All Star break,
where teams are getting tired. Okay, we played a long time,
the All Star break is coming up and really need
some time to rest and get ready for the end

(02:14):
of the regular season into the playoffs. And instead here
are the Lakers, where whoa, it's such a big deal
trading ad getting and getting Luca Doncics that just the
energy level, Like you go back to the Knicks game
last Saturday where the news breaks right after. You look
at the energy level the Lakers played within that game,
and how how happy Lebron was after the game like

(02:37):
a schoolboy answering questions, and normally his post came on
the court is yo, we had a good game. Time
And he's rubbing his jersey on his lip and he's
looking up at the stands. I want to get one lass,
look at Madison Square guarden and instead he's smiling and giggling.
He knew the trade, and there's no we can tell
me he didn't know the trade was coming. The Lakers
knew the trade was coming. And that has been every
night for them since the trade happened. I mean, they

(02:58):
haven't lost, and they haven't had Lebron, they haven't had Luca,
and still it's been steam rolling teams. And this is
why we said getting Luca, this turns you into a
championship caliber team. And they've been beating the crap out
of teams without these guys. What did I tell you
When Lucas starts playing, I'm not gonna be surprised Laker
starts scoring one hundred and thirty points a night. First
game tonight with Luka Dantic Mike Harmon. How many points

(03:20):
to night a lot against the Jazz one hundred and
thirty two. Yeah, all right, I mean this is this
is the impact that lucas having. But sometimes it's the
impact of just making the trade that happens. Like I'll
go back to two years ago when when the Braves
won the World or three is agoing the Braves won
the World Series, where they were just an average team.
They were sitting around five hundred trade deadline, and what

(03:40):
do they do. They traded for four new players. They
got four new starters. Right, It's not like they brought
it anybody who was great. They brought in Jock Peterson,
they brought in a couple of okay, great, they're going
through injuries. But they brought in four new players. And
it's a message that hey, we believe in this team.
We don't think the Mets are any good, so we
believe in this team. And what happened. They won the
World Series. Ronald Kunye was hurt. He missed the entire season,
and it was it was the vast majority of the

(04:03):
season and they won the World Series. With kind of
a bee ish team. Right, when you send that message
that we believe in you and we make a move
to back that up, you can't help but have that
trickle down to the team. And yeah, and then you
get to the point where, boy, there's gonna be a
lot of room for Austin Reeves to shoot on the floor.
Now that lucas in the games, I mean I mean
room for Ruey Hotchamore to shoot. And tonight Reason Hatchamore

(04:25):
were combined fourteen for twenty four, Like, this is gonna
be a normal night for the Lakers where these two
guys are gonna be Hey, these are the guys gonna
hit the threes from the outside. It's not gonna be Lebron,
It's not gonna be Luca. But this is what the
floor does. It opens up the big shooting from outside
for reason Hotcha Moore, and suddenly they're gonna be terrific players.

(04:45):
It's almost like to give you this and this is
a high praise. The Lakers roster almost looks like the
Knicks with their starting five and what they can do. Yes,
you know Hayes in the middle, but hey, you know
Elioup guy, Right, there was supposed to be wins, but
the trade got rescinded. But they almost look like a
little bit of the Knicks, where hey, here are your

(05:05):
five starters, and boy they can all fill it up
in a much different way.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Yeah, still a little bit of concern, just like the Knicks,
that you don't have enough depth. Sure, and you know,
some of those concerns we had doing the preseason Laker
analysis still remain, you know, weary minutes. And we watched
Anthony Davis go down with the injury, miss five games,
came back, played like a beast in his initial game

(05:31):
for the Mavericks, got hurt, but that was you know,
some of the sort of damocles that had been hanging
over the Lakers.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Kept waiting to see when that was gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
And with Lebron James energized, still a long second half
of the season and second season to come, not looking
for anything, right, he left the game after standing in
to take a charge. It was a blowout situation, so
no urgency to get back either. With the All Star
break looming after another game against you know, these Utah

(06:00):
Jazz in Utah, so they get a couple of pre
limb bums before they'll have to face the rest of
the West schedule. But all of that to say, it's
like anybody, it's human nature.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
You know.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
You talk about getting a bounce, getting the jump as
you bring in some new blood. It's like when you
get They always say psychologically, it's so great to have
your next vacation on the books, or if you're working
in one place and suddenly you get to go on
a big in a work trip somewhere, even if it's
not the most exciting place in the world, it's different, right,
It's a different look. You're not gonna be surrounded in

(06:35):
the office. You know, Taco Tuesday becomes something else, somewhere else,
I don't.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Know, whatever the case may be.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
But you get that excitement of a little different space,
the vacation on the books, all of those things. With
Luca coming in, it's like, all right, the game's gonna
flow differently. We got another guy that you'll have to
collapse on who's a really great passer, and it's gonna
give us opportunities. You saw that tonight some of the
highlight reel off what Luca did, the collapse of the defense,

(07:02):
and he's almost kind of laughing, like which guy am
I passing it to for this three point opportunity?

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Now you got to knock him down.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
And that's still one of the larger questions for the
Lakers overall. I mean, Dalton connect his back didn't really
well give you a stamp in this one.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
Well, no, it was a DNP. I wonder if you mentally,
we're gonna give you a day to get used to
be got used.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
To be back, right, But but it's the kind of
thing like he's supposed to be back. And that was
one of your shooters, right, that was Lebron loved him.
That was the one guy he singled out outside of
his kid when it came draft season.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
So we'll see how he.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Gets reintegrated and you know, adjusting to this new new role.
But all of that to say, yeah, for a you
ride it as long as you can. We talked about
nine straight games where you've scored ninety plus through three quarters.
Offense is humming. Guys are feeling the flow, you're running
on the break, and you're gonna get fed. Like That's
the other thing. If you're an ancillary player on this team,

(07:56):
you're gonna be able to add some stats because you're
gonna get some easy looks, either on the fast break,
on the lob or these three point tries. You just
better make the best of it, otherwise Lebron's gonna shuffle
your ass out too.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
So let's hear the introduction for Luka doncis the first
time as a Laker and his first bucket as a
Laker and the other.

Speaker 5 (08:16):
Guard where is number seventy seven sixty seven seven of
the campaign buck Slow Vinia, Lucacha.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Slowvinia, Slow Venia.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
He hasn't played since Christmas. He's going to get winded,
slow Na. He's a guy that moves very slow Venia.
When he is winded, he's so slow moving that it's
really you just your mind can't process how well and
how quickly he's moving.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Does Luca get the last intro from now on or
is this like a one time thing? Or does Lebron's say, Hey, nah, yeah,
but I'm still I still get the last introduction. It's
still me. It's still me guy. Do I get to win? Yeah,
it's still me? Yeah? How about you know you had
tonight that's it? But I you know, I get the
last call. That's about? How do I win? If you win? Hey?
You can't do the powder thing, Luca. That's no, don't

(09:15):
do that's my thing, Luca. The powder thing is mine.
Uh here is Lucas that would be something. Suddenly he's
got colored chalk.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
To match whatever uniform, like purple chalk, elevated it, gold chalk.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Oh yeah, yeah, color it up. Look at that? Look
at that. Wow, the purple chalk looks great. When it's
throw it looks like confetti.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Let's hear Luca's first basket as a Laker survey and fine,
don chicchcause he's got to get his sea legs back.
He has not played since Christmas for free. Look, well,
gook of the Lakers. All the crowd got what they
wanted to see early.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
I guess they.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Were standing when he cut it. Maybe they can sit
down now, Lakers TV on the call. Uh yeah, hits
a three. His first play was an alley oup bucket,
and you had a couple of other nice looks life moves.
I mean, look, this is opening up the offense so much,
and for for the way the Lakers look now, I mean, yes,
you traded a great player in Anthony Davis, but you

(10:13):
just see the possibilities with this team a little bit
more now, because look, is the game evolving away from
great bigs. Yeah, you can say that. Look, you get
guys like Giannis who are always going to be someone
who they're gonna be able to put their stamp on
the game. But really, that's why a player like Wemby
is such a big deal, because hey, I'll hit threes,
I can play outside the arc, i can play under

(10:33):
I can do all of that, and if you build
your team around that player, that's awesome. But the Lakers
were never really built around a D. It was more, hey,
we're gonna fit a D and Lebron together, and it
worked for a little while until it didn't. But now
Luca and Lebron in a positionless NBA playing together with
Lebron playing the four, Yeah, that seems to fit together
a little bit more because we watched Lebron and Ad

(10:56):
put up numbers for the last three and a half years,
but it didn't really amount to anything. Now, maybe this
is something that fits a little bit better and opens
up more shots. I mean, if it opens up more
shots for the other players, look out, man, look at
this left Laker team suddenly is high octane.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Yeah overall, I mean we still have I think some
general concerns when you have to face up against better
squads defensively, right, And I'm not saying that because they
gave up one hundred and thirteen tonight. This is the
equivalent of the couple of touchdowns that the Chief scores
at the end of yesterday's Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Hi, Kansas City. See what I did there?

Speaker 3 (11:31):
I equated you to the jazz performance today in terms
of late scoring. That took like tacos or burgers away
from people, though, didn't it?

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Not playing?

Speaker 3 (11:42):
I think it took some food out of people's gullets. Yeah, well,
you know, well, but they were coming off.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
The Super Bowl. They probably nized yesterday, so I'm okay
with not eating. Now that's the Lakers tonight. Now, let
me tell you what happened at the Mavericks games, which
they lost to the to the Kings. Big thrillers, A
good game, Yeah, big game. There was the the sing
along cam. I guess you would say not the kiss cam,
but they had the sing along cam where they were

(12:08):
playing Whitney Houston, I want to Dance with, Oh yeah, Classics,
and they would cut to people in the stands who
are singing along to the song, right, so you hear
I want to dance with somebody. And then people were
singing the lyrics. They would keep cutting over to other people.
So they cut to this guy who was going to
sing one of the lyrics, and I can't tell if
he says instead of singing the song, he says either

(12:33):
fire Nico, Nico Harris and the g and that traded
away dlukadansic or blank Nico ye. So it's hard to
tell because really I've seen it now probably twenty times,
and I said, oh, sometimes it looks like he says,
like if you told me, oh, he says fire, and
Niko said, that's what he's saying. But he told me
he said f Nico. I would look at to go,
oh no, that looks like that's what he said. So

(12:54):
it's hard to tell, but he definitely said one of
those things. And after that happened, security him out.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Well yeah, he had a microphone and everything like he
was he was the guy featured and.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Like cut to somebody else singing yeah. Well, and then
I thought like, and then there's ladies that are.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
Bouncing along and singing the song because well, jumbo tron don't.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Lie, Hey, listen, we're gonna have a lot of upset fans.
You sure you want to give the microphone? They're singing
along to the song. It'll be fine, Okay, okay, height
I like the idea of karaoke cam. Yeah, no, it's
it's not bad. And he took he shot a shot.
Yeah yeah, but you know, just choosing that time to
say blank Nico or fire Nico. I mean, really, you
throw him out. But if you throw the guy, don't

(13:36):
you know what though, Like it's a pretty good move
by him.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
Yeah, pretty good safe. Yeah, but people do the the
go fund yourselves for a lot of stupid stuff. This
guy might be able to get people to donate money
towards beer or something like.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
He might suddenly have a slush.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Fund because here down because he said fire or blank
Nico on the big screen.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Nah, you know, I really think you could have let
the guy sting in the game, right, say, you could
have let the guy's day.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
You gotta have a little thicker skate because you made
the move. Stand by the move.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
You understand the fans are gonna be upset, right, you
understand it's it's gonna happen, especially when they know, Okay, now, okay,
our great new prize possession is gonna be out multiple
weeks with an adductor injury because ad got hurt in
the first game you played for the Mavericks. You got understand.
You gotta let fans vent. You gotta let fa You
gotta let people be upset sometimes and don't say anything.

(14:23):
You just gotta let him be upset, let him get
it out. That's all you have to do.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
Well.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
It's like when you're raising a kid. At some point,
they gotta shout it out, they gotta cry it out. Yeah,
because you keep going back into the room when they're crying. Yeah,
it'll soothe them for the moment. But guess what, you
get your ass back up, what's gonna happen. I'm gonna
start crying again, and they're never gonna get out of
that habit, and you're gonna be in there all the time,
and then you're gonna be tired, you're gonna be cranky,
and it's gonna spill over in the rest of your life.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
I mean, and I guess I saw that. I'm thinking
because I'm watching all the videos today of the Eagles
fans yelling blank Taylor Swift, Oh yeah, burning Kermit the
frog in the streets. How about that. You want to
talk about traumatize that's on for Eagles fans. You can't.
We're burning Kermitt the front. You know, we're yelling blank
the chief blank Tailor's I've been like you melt down

(15:09):
a pot, a funko figure or a starting lineup or something,
or you went straight to Kermit. Travis Kelsey's ex is
partying with the with the Eagles fans with confetti. You
know you talk about, Hey, Serena, let your relationship with
Drake go singing the song on stage. Hey, let your
relationship with Travis Kelsey go. Okay, let let it go.
It's been a while. Now, it's been a while. Let

(15:31):
it go. That woman half let me let it go.
Travis Kelsey. You know, she's a personality. She does like, uh,
what's the show she's on. She's on a show like
she's she's something, and she's an influencer. And but every
time I see her, you said that, I'll look on
I'll look on you something to go, Travis Kelsey's X
with the saying this, saying this.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
Let's yeah, but that's your only identity. You got to
lean into it because that's what people know her as.
That's you versus Serena Williams. Is Serena Williams.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Yeah, no, that is true.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
That it is.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Yeah, you're right, I mean we're talking's good. I mean
we can't even be putting it in the same sentence.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
Come on now, exit out about a fresca exit swallowing
down The Jason Smith Show with my best friend Mike Carmon.
Remember sometimes best trades you get that energy and that's
its own benefit entirely. Jason Smith, Mike Carmon, Life, the
TIREC dot Com Studios. Coming up next, we'll see what
Luca Dodger says is if he meets the media. JJ
Reddick is talking now. I mean Luca might be really

(16:27):
out of breath. Sorry too soon. He might be out
of breath? Is JJ Reddick to the I'm the smartest
man alive? Does he does? He go a full on hurly.
But the day after Super Bowl fifty nine we realize
just how close we were to the Eagles winning both
Super Bowls against the Chiefs. For a reason you haven't

(16:49):
heard yet, It's coming up next right here, Jason and
Mike Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern seven
pm pis on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app with.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
A Luca and a three and a lebron and a
stomach and a whoop whoop, and and and and a
shout at The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon Sports Radio,
The Jason Smith Show and Mike Harmon, Oh my goodness,
gaining influence. This may be you know, as soon as
he finished talking a few minutes ago, this is a

(17:25):
must listen. I'm not a must listen. Alex ty Shirt
called me in the studio goes come in here and
listen to this. It's the greatest thing we've ever had
come in and I'm not gonna believe it.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
That's pretty impressive because, I mean, over the years we've
had ty Shirt with us on the show, and we're
blessed that he that he's here with us. Uh bursh
in for for Frostburg tonight. Another another one of our
team we love so much. We've had a lot of
big moments. Yeah, a lot of things over the time,
like really.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Yeah, this is kind of fun and uh, you know, look,
remember when Jade Reddick got hired by the Lakers. Critical
of it, critical a little bit of JJ Reddick as
it went on, but also complimentary of him as things
have changed, right, you know, look what's the Colin Coward
promo with new new facts come you know opinion? Yeah,

(18:16):
and uh, but I don't think JJ Reddick is a fan,
even though it seems like he listens to the show. Okay, okay,
because this is Reddick from a few moments ago, Luca
Donci's first game with the Lakers, huge win, big, JJ
Reddick coaches a hell of a game, boy, he was today.

(18:39):
You know what, he put the right starting five out there? No,
he did, he did.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
He filled out the lineup card appropriately. I think he
signed it properly, all of those things. Yeah, so he
gets credit for the w.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
And he's gonna make me change my Twitter handle from
how about a fresco which after all this time you've
had it for like twelve Yes, I've had it for it.
I may change my Twitter handle because of JJ Reddick.
This was him getting a question post game in which
it didn't seem like he liked where the question was
coming from. That's all you need to know, is you
listen to JJ. Reddick proved that basically, hey, maybe we

(19:15):
live rent free.

Speaker 6 (19:16):
In his head, there was I think I now much
you love narrative based questions. But there was a notion
after the Luca trade.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
That if it's coming from something on Twitter, I'm not
going to know not at all.

Speaker 6 (19:25):
It is coming from from real people, from your general
manager among them, which was this was about the next.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
Ten Jason Smith one four eight. Just want to make
sure because I'm not going to respond to Jason under.

Speaker 7 (19:40):
Said that's a friend of the show long time Dan
Woiki asking the question, la times you would be running
anywhere already standing ovation from Steve de Saga in the
Update studio, I.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
Mean, look we're on. He saw the smile on his face.
I know that's going to be in a show open.
I guarantee you by tomorrow, Hi, JJ, Yeah, yeah, any time, anytime, JJ,
you and me, I'll get tatted up on one of
my arms, like your.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
You and me. Let's get Jason Smith nine eight.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
So that can you can I Q squat that Twitter handle? JA, Yeah,
let's get on that one six eight, nine eight. That'll
be the numbers I play in the lottery from now on. Once.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
Make sure, okay, because I'm not gonna respond to Jason.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
I'm not gonna respond to me. He hates you and
everything you stand for. I mean listen, you know yeah
we've been said critical things, but it happened. Look. JJ Reddick,
who he was the original hot taker on on ESPN
before he became a Lakers great though, this is awesome?
Is how awesome is that? Maybe just driving around whatever
you know, fancy card he's saying and he's listening to us. Hi,

(20:44):
JJ Hey, Ryan Berschinger is in for Crossberg tonight. Hey
call the Lakers and and get JJ Reddick on the
show in the next five minutes. Get him on. I'm
on it. I mean made I already tweeted out at
a bad JJ red Jason. I already got his response
to you. You response to you, go ahead.

Speaker 4 (20:57):
I'm because I'm not gonna respond to Jason.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
All right, Well you had to try. All right, Well
you're at the old college tries. See now you know
all my friends who are Laker fans are gonna go dude,
you have sway man. Hey, next time you talk about
the Lakers, can you say this about Ruymore Well, and
we know one of the owners. We know Jay Moore,
I mean well yeah, I mean it's crazy convergence of stuff. Yeah,

(21:23):
he hates you, now hey, hang hang on, what the
guys though, who hates you more? Or a Hersheizer or
JJ Reddick. I'm gonna put that out as a pole question.
What do you think that's good? No, I'm I'm making
sure that you listen. We have Dan Wiki on the
show a lot. Yeah, and he's a friend of the show.
Didn't stand up for me at all. It didn't send

(21:45):
for me at all on that. I'm not gonna respond
to Jason all can understand. No, I think you was
there more to the clip. It's like, are you listening
to the radio A lot? Coach?

Speaker 3 (21:52):
I mean right, I mean that's the obvious follow up.
I can verify he's a real person. I talked to him.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
I mean, if you listen that long enough, you know
I'm out. How about a fresco? But I might have
to change to that. I might have to change that.
I mean, really, can I really can? I put up
the poll question thought do I add Charles Woodson? That
I don't because we don't know what Charles Woodson like,
at least these two we have a genesis, like we

(22:21):
have an origin story, right, you were talking about starting
pitching not having the same juice that it once did,
and oral hersheid and not like that. And clearly JJ Reddick.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
Didn't like any comment you had on his hiring and
the hiring process. But basically a neo baby and Lebron James.
I don't know what he could be mad, like, what's it?
Was he mad about a Brownie take? Was he mad
about the JJ Reddick take was about? I don't know
what he's mad about.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
I don't know. Well, I mean we say lots of stuff.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
Yes, four hours of live radio that we do, no
often imitated, never duplicated, So I mean there's plenty of options.
Maybe he just didn't like your Chiefs take. Maybe he
hates that you're a Jets. I mean there's a million ways.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
You said take all the over prop bets from homes
in the super Bowl, and only one of them, just
one of them. He got that yardage one late, so
it was good that he was still in the game.
Hey Bursch. Other thing, Hey Burt, call the Lakers, get
me passes to the next home game. I want to
sit right behind JJ Reddick. I just made all love
those things. Make sure that works up all right, Like
Burch is really on the phone right now, why not?

(23:24):
If nothing else, we can go talk to Dan Wiki
like why didn't you ask to follow up? Well, no,
I just tweeted out to him, Hey, how about standing
up for me a little bit? With JJ Reddick and
you know he you know, well he's deadline, so you
know those kind of things. Let me let's hear, let's
hear one more time. Let's let let's hear one more time,
and let's see. Maybe I missed something and maybe Dan

(23:44):
did say I don't know, let's hear it again, Silky.
There was I.

Speaker 6 (23:48):
Think I know how much you love narrative based questions.
But there was a notion after the Luca trade that.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
It's coming from something on Twitter. I'm not going to no,
not at all.

Speaker 6 (23:56):
It is coming from from real people, from your general
manager among them, which was like this was about the.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
Next ten Jason Smith one. I just want to make
sure i'm because I'm not going to respond to Jason
I understand.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
No, No, he didn't have my back, and all those
people laughed in the background, like thanks for all listening.
We appreciate you all.

Speaker 3 (24:18):
Yeah, evangelize, put it in your columns and on your
blogs tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
See if this was like WWE, we would like create
a really big feud right now and then like we
would have some kind of big payoff somewhere.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
Well, there's got to be a big work and look,
we could do something for charity. I mean you could
throw a junior duke football against him, or maybe you've
talked about your proficiency as a three point shooter.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
I did. Maybe it's time. Oh maybe we have a
three point shooting congres. Yeah. Oh he would beat me though,
that's what's threes? Hey he had threes? Yeah, but that's fine.
You just have to flush him out and get him
out there, know what I mean. Like it would be
like like one of those like a three, like a
three ball three point shooting content like at the All
Star Game. Oh no, you know we could do it.
We could do it with Wei because I was really

(25:06):
good at WE. Okay, JJ Reddick has to shoot real threes.
I get to shoot threes on wi that's a three
point that there you go, there, you get right there.
I get to shoot on WII. He's got to shoot
real threes. Yeah, no, I dig this and and the
winner gets the other person's car.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
Well, that escalated quickly right there, like Papa shot.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
I mean, like, what are we doing well? Because I
look much like look much like we talked about the
you know, which we'll get into in a couple of
minutes with the Chiefs and the Eagles. Uh, you know,
maybe a little suivele the playing field a little bit.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
I love it that everybody trying to uh look up
that Twitter handle?

Speaker 1 (25:45):
What is it again? One six?

Speaker 5 (25:48):
No?

Speaker 1 (25:48):
No, no, no no, no, tys you're playing again, So I
get that to the handle one more time.

Speaker 6 (25:52):
There was I think I know how much you love
narrative based questions. But there was a notion after the Luca.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
Trade that coming from something on Twitter, I'm not gonna
not at all.

Speaker 6 (26:00):
It is coming from from real people, from your general
manager among them, which was like, this was about the
next ten.

Speaker 4 (26:06):
Jason Smith one six, eight, four nine eight.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
Hold on, let me, I'll look at it for it.

Speaker 4 (26:11):
I just want to make sure i'm because I'm not
gonna respond to Jason.

Speaker 1 (26:14):
I understand it, okay, no, no, no, I try to
go at Jason Smith one six, eight, four and eight
What comes up? Jason Smith Show well there you go.
See now it's there. All right, So you got a
squat that sweekend, so I could take that do it again?
One six four on Come on, man, come on, man
on man, one six ' four no, one six eight, eight,
four nine eight okay, now be my lucky numbers. Now?

(26:37):
Would have played this in the lottery? I want to play.
Can you play? Like, is there a lottery that's uh
it seems like a really far shot, Like is there
like a lottery that has like a million numbers and
you play like zero to a million and I would
play one six eight four. That would be pretty cool. Yeah,
that would be coolouldn't it? Well? Nothing else?

Speaker 3 (26:51):
I mean you can just play the you know, pick
three sixteen eighty four ninety eight.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
I mean it just okay, I could do that. Yeah,
I could do that. Uh now yeah, hey me Laker's influencer.
That's it right now. That's that's what I am.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
Knucklehead jumping knucklehead billy. It's like, that's what I'm writing,
which La Luminary doesn't like. How about a Frescimore you know,
as JJ Reddick said, jumping knucklehead billy at Jason Smith
one six eight four ninety.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
Hey, Bursch, do me a favorite, get me, get me
media passes to the next Laker home game so I
can ask questions at the end effort. I wanted to
be able to hurting. I want him to have to
answer my question. Are you in the back? No? Not
that guy? No, No, get him out of here. Get
that guy out, come walking it. Don't you know who

(27:42):
I am? Jason Smith one eight four six nine six
eight nine dead damn. Yeah, that's me, jj jj jj Reddick.
That's me. That's fantastic. That's great. Oh wow, this is awesome.
All right. Yeah, so that's happened though. So now it's

(28:03):
a thing. No, that's good. Now I'm working to create
the new account. My feud with JJ Reddick.

Speaker 3 (28:09):
Well, I mean our buddy Ben Maller will be up
in twenty five minutes. He had his thing with William Shatner.
Sure we got JJ Reddick.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Yeah, it's a new sports field. This is great, this
is pretty good. We've phrased after the half all of
these things. Now here's what it is. Ready, Okay, uh
in the squared circle Ben Maller and I, JJ Reddick
and William Shatner. Okay, let's go. Yeah, I would tell hey,
you wrestle, Reddick, I'll take Shatner's Fuck.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
Why why did you get Zulu in the corner tackling
at you?

Speaker 1 (28:41):
Oh he'd be a great manager. Oh yeah, no, absolutely?
Fuck what wrestle? Why I don't wrestle. I'm ninety five,
I wrestle? Fuck?

Speaker 2 (28:50):
What The next ten Jason Smith won six nine eight.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
What?

Speaker 1 (29:15):
What is the line you play all the time? Very
sexual strong Twitter game. That's me, very sexual, strong Twitter game.

Speaker 4 (29:21):
There it is that to make sure because I'm not
going to respond to Jason quitter.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
JJ Howard. That's a friend of the show. JJ Reddy. Yeah,
clearly show JJ red Thanks for evangelizing.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
I mean that's got to move you up the rankings
in the global economy of sports talk and media.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
I think so. Yeah, I mean, look me and then
the Laker head coach. Your feuding now apparently somehow forgot
my name. That's true.

Speaker 3 (29:47):
That's all right, Mike Harmon, that's swollen Dome. I need
some love, Swollen Dome. I just want to feel one.
I feud with you every night, half the three damn night.
It's a transit of property. So if JJ Reddick is
feuding with me, he's feuding with you. Just go okay,
that's transit of problem. Okay, let's wait. All right, I'm
in I mean, look, we're on in LA. We've been
on in l A for a long time. We say things.

Speaker 1 (30:05):
JJ Reddick has been in the media everything. Okay.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
Do you think he ran to his radio to see
the ripple effect? I wonder if those guys are ripping
me right now.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
No, but really, I mean I think I'm gonna I'm
gonna play what you're celebrating. What are you celebrating? Did
you get did you got the Twitter handle? Did you
get the Twitter handle? It's whatever?

Speaker 5 (30:29):
It was?

Speaker 1 (30:30):
Wait for it? Four sixty three? Oh yeah, let's play
it one more time. This was you know, just in
case people are tuning in and people are getting in
their cars coming home from the Laker game. Uh, this
was JJ Reddick in the post game with friend of
the show, Dan Wyki. We got to oh, by the way, Bursch. Okay,
now all the other things. Book Dan Woyki for tomorrow night,
because he's got to answer why he didn't step to

(30:50):
my defense here, because you know, I might actually be
able to do that. Yeah that, I know that that
you can do. Getting Reddick on the show. Yeah, I
understand setting up the but but getting Dan Wayki for
Demart I think we can do that.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
Okay, I just need to pick a profile picture JJ Redick.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
Oh yeah, JJ Reddick. Yeah sure, JJ Redick with a
mister met head on it. That's what it needs to be.
We're just JJ Redick. All right, I'll see what I
can do. So this is Reddick following Lakers win tonight.
Luca wins his first game as a Laker, and and uh,
here's Reddick answer getting a question from a Lakers beat reporter,
Dan Wiki about the team tonight. He's going to ask

(31:27):
a question that Reddick might not want to answer, and
and I think he lays blamed for that question.

Speaker 6 (31:32):
There was I think I know how much you love
narrative based questions, but there was a notion after the
Luca trade.

Speaker 4 (31:38):
That is coming from something on Twitter. I'm not going
to no, not at all.

Speaker 6 (31:40):
This is coming from from real people, from your general
manager among them, which was like this was about the
next ten.

Speaker 4 (31:46):
Jason Smith one nine eight.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Hold on, I'm not looking for it.

Speaker 4 (31:51):
I just want to make sure because I'm not going
to respond to Jason undersaid, all.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
Right, now, I want to say another another I'm a
real person. I'm not some AI creation here. Yes I am.
Are you I speak? I speak? Yeah, but in such
a way where it's not you can tell it's not AI.
He tells that I'm a real person I've been. That'd
be something if for the last like you know, twenty
years now, Jason Beent not a real person. He's been

(32:16):
a robot this whole time, just just a creation, just
someone who just yes, what are you doing, Dave? When
you go home to someone yell, I love you three thousand, Hello, Hello,
Welcome to the Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon. Take
off your uniform now, that's that's that's take off your cleats,
that's take off your jockstrap. That's that's like if Mickey
Rourke was doing a sports talk radio show. Uh me

(32:42):
and right, I'm telling you me and Reddick can settle
our differences three point shooting contest. I get to do
it on WI. He's got to do it for real.
Come on in if you will. It's how works, that's
out work because I am money on we man, I'll
tell you right, I'm your money. Where I will hit
the last like two shots. I'll grab the ball and
look away from the screen, look at somebody and go boom.
No kidding, Oh yeah.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
Yeah, because I'm not going to respond to Jason, understand.

Speaker 1 (33:05):
No, That's that's how we settle it like men, like
they did it in the old days. On Wei. It
was a pipe dreamer. I thought were actually gonna get
to a Super Bowl recap here? Nah, you know hey,
you know what wait wait wait now this is this
is great. Do you think because he's not here tonight

(33:25):
somehow the day after the Chiefs lose in the Super
Bowl and it's and he even said it on Friday,
it's our super Bowl Monday night, Luca's first game as
a Laker. He must have said that ninety long time
Frostburg is not here and I and we get this
from JJ Reddick. Do you think Frostburg was like feeding
him stuff? You say you think, wow, Ty Shirt, you didn't.
You didn't hesitate at all. No, you really think it

(33:47):
is I wouldn't be here. I don't know. It's a
big night. This is it's a big, big night. And
now here we are. I don't know, man, a little weird,
all right? Maybe? Man? Now we had talked to front
Remember Luca, we played in show the guys only got
a mask on.

Speaker 4 (34:00):
Yeah, but I.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
Feel like all these people now now I kind of
feel like, who was it? And uh, what was I
feel like what like Michael corleone and Godfather three where
you know all his friends, But oh, they're all like
turning against me. Now all these people I thought were
my friend, like Frostburg and Waki and you and friend
and ty Shirt, And I thought it was you're just
saying because because somehow right away you said, oh, yeah,

(34:22):
Frostburg absolutely did that. How do you know because I
know him? Yeah, but you know unless you spoke to him.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
Well, I mean it's a lot of years of evidence
that he would take any opportunity to Uh.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
I got I gotta go all especially when the Lakers
are involved. I gotta see. Here's the thing. I gotta go.
I gotta go to a baptism and I got to
eliminate all you guys.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
But Smith, here's the problem if I do that, like,
I can't do that Twitter account.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
It's one character too long. Oh oh really yeah, it's
a fifteen character women, that's sixteen characters. Booo. So that
can't even be a real account. That stinks. Well, I
leading on trying to make it a real At least
I will have the end of Pam saying to me,
tell me you didn't eliminate all your friends, people you
worked with, And I just say no. When I closed

(35:08):
the door, well you know, I had a good run
and I closed the door. Runner forever, oh godfather by slash. Yeah.
Any questions for JJ Redick at how about a fresco
which is a real We'll figure out this day Smith.
Coming up next, my buddy Ben Maller from Mike. I'm Jason.
