I'm just wondering if Steve Kerr would want to come
back and, you know, coach the Lakers, or if he
just wants to hang it up and retire or just
stay in Golden State.

Right, we thought he might have been done physically a
couple of years ago, and that might have taken him
off the bench. If physically he's fine, family's older, right,
the kids are older. So if you didn't leave then

I give you credit to it to a degree and

me that he's a type of guy that the challenge
is there and the first first order would probably be
to try to run it back. And he talked about
needing Draymond. I thought it was pretty bush league of

term deal with him, and that's where the Lakers get

Hachimura has been a nice fine since he was acquired.
Austin Reeves is gonna be able to command an awful
lot of money, not gonna be able to.

Guess what you gave up Back to back game years,
you had games where you didn't show up with an
opportunity either to take a series lead, close out a series.
And you've got one of the top five to ten

Well, but you're always offering contracts, I mean a real
lucrative one, right, as are hedge funds and other pro businesses,
et cetera. Right. The last report i'd seen was while
they may have offered some base turns, that they were
pretty far away. And you've seen Mike Dunleavy Junior stand
in for him on a number of occasions.

I'm just wondering if Steve Kerr would want to come
back and, you know, coach the Lakers, or if he
just wants to hang it up and retire or just
stay in Golden State.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
Who knows, well, but if you still can coach?

Right, we thought he might have been done physically a
couple of years ago, and that might have taken him
off the bench. If physically he's fine, family's older, right,
the kids are older. So if you didn't leave then
saying hey, you know it's time for family, all right.
I give you credit to it to a degree and
lend some credence to it. But it would seem to

me that he's a type of guy that the challenge
is there and the first first order would probably be
to try to run it back. And he talked about
needing Draymond. I thought it was pretty bush league of
the entire crew to say, oh, yeah, yeah, that that
season opening thing between Draymond and Pool. I mean that

we'd still be playing. It's like, are you kidding me?
It went through a full eighty two game regular season
in the season, and then suddenly you guys aren't getting
along in the final stretches, all the states.

They're never went in another championship. You can forget about it.

They've got to decide what they want to do about Clay.
Either trade him, Well Clay's the big question for me. Well,

Right in the battle between he and James Harden, which
guy my reaching pen and paper towards first the answers
neither go have at it unless I'm signing you.

But you got an ascending, ascending player and a guy
that you know has a lot that he wants to prove,
and you see it each game that he's not shy.
In Game one of this series of the Western Conference Finals,
there was a point where he saw a little bit
of body language change for a spell as his shot
wasn't falling early, and then you know, he got right

back at it, right because that's the mentality and that's
the need that they have for him in his role.
But yeah, I think I'd be looking at the long
term deal with him, and that's where the Lakers get
into a difficult proposition. Not to make it about them
long term, but you do have to make a decision
as to how you're going to be able to allocate resources.

Hachimura has been a nice fine since he was acquired.
Austin Reeves is gonna be able to command an awful
lot of money, not gonna be able to.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
They're not gonna be able to match him.

He's gonna have to be gone and unfortunately for him
because I know he just works so good with the Lakers.
But he'll he'll go ahead and get the money, and
that he should get the money. It just won't be
with the Lakers. They just can't afford them.

Bottom line, these guys can find points, uh wherever they are.
But Heat Celtics. I had the Heat in six before
Game one, thinking that if they can keep games close,
i''ll take Spolster and that squad, play Jimmy Butler over
what Boston's given me, even if the Celtics team top
to bottom is healthier, more complete in the air quotes

with Tyler hero out and all the circumstances that had
no Victor Oladipo, h et cetera. That I'll take the
Heat in those circumstances that my coach is gonna get
me one of those wins as well.

Yeah, I think the clock is striking midnight on the
on the Heat, I think Boston starts picking it up.
Boston wins this and six, maybe loses one more game,
but I think they could to start flexing their muscle.
