Speaker 2 (00:23):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
Greetings and welcome in final hour of the program. Yes,
we still have hockey rolling. No, I don't want to
die in ordinary man. No, I sit here in the
catburn seat, lots of screens in front of me. Arnie
Spanier is in for Jason Smith as we come to
you live from the Tirac dot com studios. You know
(00:49):
shopping for tires can be deflating. Well out of tirack
dot com, fast free shipping, free road hazard protection just
to start, go to tyraq dot com. We'll help you
get there an unmatched selection, fast free shipping, free road
hazard protection over ten thousand recommended in stallars tyrec dot com.
The way tire buying should be already Spaniard. You gotta
(01:11):
be loving life. It's in the middle of the night
where you are in Vermont and we still have hockey.
We got bonus hockey. You call this the power hour
and the Bonus hour. Bonus just hour four for us here.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
Yeah, you're used to it.
Speaker 5 (01:23):
But I love that we have games going on. You know,
usually you get the late baseball game. Sometimes if they
go with the xtra ratings, you get them real long.
But playoff hockey. Look how far this is going and
there's only a little over two minutes left to the
third overtime. Otherwise this is gonna see a fourth overtime.
But what's gonna end first? This show or the hockey game?
Speaker 3 (01:42):
At this point it could be the show, right we
get to the next overtime, that we have another break
and what we.
Speaker 5 (01:47):
Take countdown twenty minutes though, yeah, they would take twenty
minutes between.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
Only Hey, you can get a full nap in at
this point. Are we doing anything differently? No, I'm napping
before the fourth overtime? Yeah, out of two minutes. Now,
this is just insane because the action is still flowing
on the ice pretty well. It's not like we've seen
a big operation slow down, not like you can do
in the NBA where you go to the four corners
(02:12):
and slow.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Down nice way a shot clock or anything.
Speaker 5 (02:17):
Eight total shots too, by the way, that's not all
that many if you have to three overtimes though.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
Eight I mean, it's only four of them got through though,
that's pretty impressive. Fifth that we can still debate. But
without the aid of video here, you know, on the
on the radio call here with on Fox Sports Radio,
we can only describe it so far before we get
to a all right, throw your hands up and make
your best guess of it.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
But you know you're the father of a goalie.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
That does not set well with you all night the
softball questions at Lebron, James.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
My kid would never get that call.
Speaker 5 (02:54):
He would always think, oh, that's a goal, that's a goal.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
You would never get that call.
Speaker 5 (02:58):
But I'm really shot that they called it a goal
because there was nobody in the crease and the skater
had gotten out of the crease and he had a
plenty of chance to make the same. So but anyway,
they they took it away. And look how far we've
gone from this. So we'll we'll see how long this
game goes. But it's uh, but it's been fun to watch,
that's for damn.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Now say your kid was in goal and that you
were in attendance to watch.
Speaker 5 (03:22):
I'm bad. I can't have happened. I just I would
have been screaming, bloody murder. Interference, interference. I have a
tough time watch. Yeah, I have a tough time watching
my kid when he's in goal. I have to go
to the other end. I can't be near him.
Speaker 6 (03:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
Did he ever ban you from games?
Speaker 7 (03:44):
No?
Speaker 5 (03:45):
No, I've never been banned, but pretty close, that's for sure.
Speaker 7 (03:48):
How did you not go see him when he was
playing in Israel?
Speaker 5 (03:50):
And he was playing in Israel? And then if he
missed in Israel?
Speaker 7 (03:54):
To paint the picture here, someone's playing in Haifa, the
port city, one of the most gorgeous cities in the
world in aren't you didn't even go?
Speaker 4 (04:00):
Next year?
Speaker 5 (04:01):
He's gonna play there again next to next summer. Also,
so maybe I'll go next year.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
And man, none of us are promised tomorrow, Arnie.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
Well thanks, just like the Lakers are only promised two
more bites at the proverbial Apple against the Denver Nuggets.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
See, now I got you all depressed. Look what I no? No,
I just deflated you.
Speaker 5 (04:22):
No, I can't believe Todd said that you're only gonna
get like three and a half to one on the
Lakers to come back and win the series.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
They are five point favorites for game.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
Though you would you would think you'd get like seven
or eight to one to come back to win four
of the next five games, especially when you have to
win in Denver.
Speaker 7 (04:38):
To they're not Nicks.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
Yeah, they're not the Knicks, but still that's enough odds.
You might as well just bet Denver at that point.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
And dud I gotta say there there is a little
bit of sadness because one element that has been with
us for a full month here on the show, actually
almost two months, is horribly missing tonight. What's up there
in his neon glowing the dark tracksuit. At no point
(05:06):
has Frostburg been inclined to yell Lakers or back at it.
Speaker 7 (05:10):
It was obvious, Mike, they're back.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
So you don't even need to head.
Speaker 7 (05:14):
I don't even need the same Game three, they got
Game four their back.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
Come on, are you channeling your intervict the brick Jacob's
our guy from a five to seventy l as.
Speaker 7 (05:22):
You always got to channel on your interview feeling you Yeah,
the Lakers are back on.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
You know, they're tying this up to too fantastic efforts tonight. Uh,
I mean now that we've got your microphone open, mister Helper. Uh,
Justin Frossberg, our executive producer. Which was the element that
incensed you most, the missed layup slash uh lackadaisical, not lasadaisical,
lackadaisical effort by Lebron on the dunk ads in effectiveness shooting,
(05:52):
because he was very quick to point out they didn't
give me anything different. I just kept leaving the ball short.
And then he got salty as he started reflecting on that.
I thought Wiki, our body from the La Times was
going to be defeated.
Speaker 7 (06:05):
Yeah. I think the one that upset me the most
was actually Magic Johnson's tweet. How dare he?
Speaker 5 (06:12):
Are you making a big deal about Magic Johnson's tweet?
It wasn't bad at all. What's the big deal was?
Speaker 7 (06:16):
You're attacking your guys?
Speaker 3 (06:18):
Well that's the that's the big thing that that Frostburg
brings in Arnie. If you're not a follower of the
Magic Johnson Twitter account with any regularity. Normally, even in
the worst of losses, the sun is shining it is
eighty degrees and beautiful.
Speaker 4 (06:37):
That's part of the part of the products that responsibility.
Speaker 5 (06:41):
So what if Magic's going to call it the way
it is, that's the way it should be.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
But we're just proud of Magic that he actually called it. Well,
Frostburg's mad because he went against the family.
Speaker 7 (06:51):
Yeah, you never come on, you've seen The Godfather, guys.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
Now, one story that you know on my giant grid
that maybe you couldn't make up. There was a report
that Joe Mizzula watches The Town with Ben Affleck four times.
Speaker 7 (07:04):
Great film?
Speaker 2 (07:06):
How about this?
Speaker 4 (07:06):
Is that? Is that the one where he's robbing the
banks and the accent? Okay, the masks?
Speaker 2 (07:12):
No, that's good. That's a good movie. I mean, that's
a good choice.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
I don't know it helps you in the final minutes
of games coaching, But we'll get into the Eastern Conference
Finals game too, coming up in a few minutes. We're
coming to you live from the Tirak dot Com studios. Now,
Michael Malone, he also got a little light salty Mike
as as just Fi. Prosberg calls him the uh just
he's looking he's playing the respect card at every turn,
(07:36):
and he did it again tonight.
Speaker 4 (07:37):
Let's be honest.
Speaker 6 (07:38):
That was a national narrative was, Hey, the Lakers are fine,
they're down one, oh, but they figured something out. No
one talked about Nicola just had a historic performance. He's
got thirteen Chipple doubles now third all time. What he's
doing is just incredible. But the narrative wasn't about the nuggets.
The narrative wasn't about Nicola. The narrative is about the
Lakers and their adjustments. So you know, you put and
(08:00):
you pipe, you smoke it, and you come back and
you know what we're gonna go up to.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
Oh now, that's a great quote. It also pains me
that he's watching bad television shows during the day instead
of listening to fact based reaction as games are going
on to hear the messaging that he tried to push
off there. It's not my fault. They can't find the narrative.
(08:24):
What's the better story for the national now the rest
of the national media, Yeah, they want to go to
the comeback and the near misses and the uh, the
Lebron James apologies and moral victories and all that crap.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
We've been talking about.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
Nikola Jokic going back to him getting robbed of another MVP,
going back to what he did all season long.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
The greatness cannot be denied. And anybody that made it
about the comeback that fell short. I mean, that's just
bad TV and bad radio. So Michael Malone choose better.
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
I'm not sure what he wants really, because you're right,
he did win back to back MVPs. We all know
about him. He certainly gets recognition. And what do you mean,
put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
Because the narrative was that the Lakers if they change.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
And they figured it out right that those possessions with
Ruey Hachimore I'm going to make you stretch in the
fourth quarter were enough that it was gonna flip.
Speaker 5 (09:30):
I'm gonna make you a bet when the Lakers win
Game three and Lebron goes to the podium, he'll find
some way. He goes, yeah, we hit our threes today.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it or something
like that, taking a shot back at him.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
I bet they hit a bunch of threes.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
Then Michael Malone will say, good for them, they finally
hit some threes.
Speaker 5 (09:48):
Yeah he doesn't get worked up, but yeah they I
got that's going to decide this series. You can't have
a night like you did tonight. Shooting a three point
shot otherwise is not going to go very far.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
Fox More Radio Jason Smith Show with Me and Mike Harman.
Arnie Spanier in for Jason Smith tonight. You find him
over on Twitter at Stinking Genius one to that point
eight of thirty from three point range. We've chronicled it well.
If you've missed any of the show, the audio will
be up the full podcast in about an hour's time.
Download it wherever you find the greatest latest audio and
(10:22):
give it five stars. We'll love you forever, Evangelize. Send
it to your family and friend Mother's Day. Maybe you
forgot to send a card. Do you know what you
can do? You can give the link to the iHeartRadio
app nice and just or say, hey, you know what,
let me borrow your phone for a minute.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Oh you're putting your number in.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
Now iHeartRadio app. You can listen to Fox Sports Radio
wherever you go. It's the gift that keeps on giving
Arnie Spaniard, you gotta have that sell damn right. Anthony
Davis four of fifteen from the field, fourteen boards, four assists,
four block shots, four turnovers, minus ten eighteen points, nine
(10:55):
to eleven from the foul line. He was left a
lot of shots in the lane short, as he alluded to,
and the exchange back and forth with the reporters for him, Look,
Lebron just took over because eighty was having none of it.
As soon as any question about defensive alterations by the
didn't work.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
I didn't know. I thought maybe he just wasn't working,
you know.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
No, he said no. One kind of slumped the microphone
to his side. When Waki was asking about.
Speaker 5 (11:22):
Youtig, would you wouldn't you respect him a lot more
if he just said, you know what, Lebron, I got this, Hey,
I played miserable.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
I made four stinking shots that just can't happen.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
I gotta be.
Speaker 5 (11:35):
More consistent if we're gonna win an NBA championship. This
was a poor performance by me. Wouldn't you respect the
MORPHI said something like that or what?
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Well?
Speaker 3 (11:44):
But at this point for us to expect that from
any athlete or coach, you're kidding yourself.
Speaker 5 (11:50):
Well, it's the playoffs, and you know we're talking about
now and today and the show's tonight.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
He's on the podium tonight.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
Come on now, I'm not disagreeing with you, Arnie, and
I like it in a theoretical world where everybody does.
He's got to say that they should answer what they should.
Speaker 5 (12:06):
Got to he's gonna and the fact that they didn't
ask Lebron about the misstunk that he fumbled out of
bounds is atrocious.
Speaker 4 (12:12):
I mean, how un the media let that slide.
Speaker 5 (12:15):
I got to assume that maybe we just didn't hear
it and somebody asked him about it. I can't believe
that go the whole press conference would not be an asked.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
I gotta think there might have been in just the
death stare if he'd asked that, what what death's there?
Speaker 4 (12:29):
You look like the one when you fumbled it out
of bounds. It's a legitimate question, what DEA's there?
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Again?
Speaker 6 (12:34):
Give you?
Speaker 3 (12:34):
I doubt in any way, shape or form other than
saying hello, mister James. My name is Arnie Spaniard and
I work at Fox Sport Radio.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
I have a question for you.
Speaker 5 (12:45):
Just if you want to be nice, just say, well,
what happened on that play? It looked like you fumbled
it out of bounds because you're trying to be a
hot shot.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
How about that, Lebron, Was this your personal dunk contest
going awry? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (12:58):
Exactly that what you're going to ask.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
I didn't give you a ten on that dunk, Lebron.
How about that?
Speaker 3 (13:03):
Look at you? Gosh, the faux antagonist.
Speaker 5 (13:08):
You know he was gonna do the rocky? Did he
put that under his legs? Though he didn't put it
under his legs?
Speaker 4 (13:12):
Did he?
Speaker 2 (13:13):
No, he can't do that. Now, he did try to
rocket that far.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
He was going to rocket and slam dunkin backwards.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Yeah, looks like it hit his SI and off it went.
Speaker 4 (13:25):
Because he knew that, he goes.
Speaker 5 (13:26):
I better get up real high on this one because
it's been like ten years since I've had this dunk.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
Wow, look at you, agist Arnie Spaniel at stink and genius.
Speaker 4 (13:35):
I think Brownie would add a better dunk than that.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
Welcome back in, We still have action late late on
a thurn midnight amazing, Mike Harmon, Arnie Span your with
you as we are watching live Stanley Cup playoffs continue
as the Florida Panthers and the Carolina Hurricanes get ready
(14:09):
for the puck to drop for the fourth overtime. We
are underway, Arnie Spaniard.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
What is the latest the game has gone? Time wise?
Forget about innings or anything like that, Like was there
a game two in the morning, three in the morning question.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
I'm sure they're good.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
Vote folks over at stats, take and everything or trying
to pile through and see what they can come up.
Speaker 7 (14:33):
I think it was like plus one hundred and sixteen
minutes in like nineteen thirty.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
This is insane.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
I mean, in any other sport they're looking at suspended
games at this point. It's like they're tired and it's
late and the people in the stands are falling asleep.
Speaker 5 (14:52):
Would you be better if it's after three overtimes we
just go to a shootout?
Speaker 2 (14:55):
Or I hate shootouts?
Speaker 4 (14:56):
Yeah? I hate shootouts. Yeah, I want to go the
way it is.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
Let's keep going hat shootouts in any form soccer.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
It's well.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
John Wick four streaming coming up they're trying to figure
out part five.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
So we got that.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
We got to do a group outing to go see
Cesiu though before that's out of theaters.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Remember we saw the preview before john Wick four.
Speaker 7 (15:20):
You think it's still in theaters?
Speaker 3 (15:21):
It is, yeah, and limited like limited opportunities, but still
something to go look for. Yeah, we've got Arnie just
absolutely confused.
Speaker 4 (15:32):
No, I want to see john Wick four. I just
don't what is it on? I don't think I have
that channel.
Speaker 7 (15:37):
Yeah, it's not on anything yet because I saw the
Nicholas Cage vampire movie that literally was out in theeders
like two weeks ago. Has already yeah anymore.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
Yeah, so he just doesn't for the money. He just
asks for the money. Now, you know he doesn't care.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
But it also doesn't mean it's bad. It just means
that audiences didn't respond to go get it.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
You know what. Sometimes people have terrible tastes.
Speaker 4 (16:00):
Yeah, he just he just wanted the money back then,
all right, but.
Speaker 7 (16:04):
That just came out.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
This literally just came out.
Speaker 5 (16:07):
No, I met like all the other movies he did,
he was just doing it for the money because he
had a lot.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
Of bat Yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
No, he's been in some some brilliant in that late
nineties running he had was pretty epic.
Speaker 7 (16:19):
What he did the rock face off and con.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Air and leading leaving Las Vegas, gone in sixty seconds,
got in sixty seconds.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
It was a fantastic move on Arnie.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
Yeah, I'm sorry he must have missed all those I've
seen them. They're they're good, They're okay, But come on
watching mixed games. That's for buying, like dinosaur helmet heads
and stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
What's wrong with that?
Speaker 4 (16:43):
Waste a lot of money. It was paid a lot
of money for that.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
You know what, though, it made him happy, and if
it made him happy, that's really all that matters.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
And made him broke too well, and that that does
pile up.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
And you could buy one dinosaur head, just don't buy
the cast of the second one. Yeah, all right, we're
into this fourth overtime two minutes in uh and just
getting underway, and it's just amazing watching the crowds, watching
the interaction between I.
Speaker 4 (17:10):
Can't tell as most people stay there.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
Either that they've moved down into making a better television event.
At this point, it's very crowded.
Speaker 7 (17:22):
What also to do tomorrow? In Carolina? Man?
Speaker 3 (17:26):
Get ready for your number one overall pick to take
over and go to work on. Oh, it is Friday.
Maybe you're you're looking for an early three day weekend.
You wanted to have one this week and then oh yeah,
well you know, but they probably cut off alcohol sales
hours ago. Do they then fire up coffee earns or what?
Speaker 4 (17:47):
Get your free coffee free?
Speaker 3 (17:51):
Come on, what are you doing to me, Arnie? You
got to be better than that. Keep it out there. Hey,
tomorrow we get game two of your Eastern Conference Finals.
Game one goes to the Miami Heat. You looked at
it and people put it in the put it in
a proverbial cooler, saying it was done with the early
(18:13):
offensive work from Boston. But Miami comes back a lot
of role players stepping up alongside Jimmy Butler. Much has
been made about this team and they're run my Heat.
Bulls didn't play.
Speaker 5 (18:26):
So goes the show. You don't need to have superstars.
You have Jimmy Butler and then you had foeign drafted players.
Speaker 7 (18:32):
You know what?
Speaker 4 (18:32):
The guy I agree with everybody else.
Speaker 5 (18:34):
Spolster is one of the most underrated coaches in all
of sports.
Speaker 4 (18:38):
He just does nothing.
Speaker 7 (18:39):
But when you know, but.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
That's the thing right in the NBA circles and asked
this question of Rick Buker and our guy Medina with
us as they have been through these playoffs of you know,
proper respects like no, no, no, it's it's whether you
can sell the national media of it, because it's the
what have you done for me lately? New guy on
the block where it just kind of sinks back because
(19:01):
right pat Riley's still helping to steer things right here
a lot about pat Riley unless you're getting a long
expose and analysis of the continuity of the team between ownership,
front office, coaching staff, and general philosophy of how it's
run through and for Spolstra, what is it seven Eastern
(19:23):
Conference finals in the last thirteen years? Yetty as you go,
But when you've got a league where everybody else gets
turned over, it's the what's next? And this offseason is
even crazier, right because you had teams and coaches with
Coach of the Year honors, finals appearance, one winner in Budenholzer,
and you got a bunch of guys that are out
(19:44):
of jobs. And this is still speculation with Missoula if
this goes down in flames for the Celtics, whether he
gets to retain the job after coming in for Udoka
to start the season.
Speaker 5 (19:54):
Well, you mentioned Budenholzer, and you got Matty Williams out there,
You've got Doc Rivers, Doc Rivers.
Speaker 4 (20:00):
Are we sure that Darvin AM's keeping his job?
Speaker 5 (20:02):
That's one hundred you're betting your job on that, right,
that's what don hearing or what.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
Well, that's usually your stick. I think I've been apprised.
Speaker 5 (20:10):
Are you hundred percent sure though that's happening or the
Lakers are not going to go in a different direction.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
I would say he stays based on the job he did.
But you know what, it's twenty twenty three. I've been
around the block a while. I've been around sports talk radio,
and we've seen a lot of nonsense, a lot of
things that don't necessarily make sense.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
Right.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
A lot of people were confused about Monty Williams getting fired.
Guess what you gave up Back to back game years,
you had games where you didn't show up with an
opportunity either to take a series lead, close out a series.
And you've got one of the top five to ten
players that we've seen in this generation at the lead
(20:54):
of it, and you know showed and that's on your watch.
Speaker 5 (20:58):
So who would you hire you if if the job
was open and you could pick anyone or the four
I gave you, maybe even Steve Kerr.
Speaker 3 (21:05):
Well, Steve Kurr's only got one year left on his deal, right,
and Bob Myers is probably leaving right.
Speaker 4 (21:11):
Well, did they gave him a contract though? Didn't they
just offer him a contract today?
Speaker 3 (21:14):
Well, but you're always offering contracts, I mean a real
lucrative one, right, as are hedge funds and other pro businesses,
et cetera. Right. The last report i'd seen was while
they may have offered some base turns, that they were
pretty far away. And you've seen Mike Dunleavy Junior stand
in for him on a number of occasions.
Speaker 5 (21:36):
I'm just wondering if Steve Kerr would want to come
back and, you know, coach the Lakers, or if he
just wants to hang it up and retire or just
stay in Golden State.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
Who knows, well, but if you still can coach?
Speaker 3 (21:50):
Right, we thought he might have been done physically a
couple of years ago, and that might have taken him
off the bench. If physically he's fine, family's older, right,
the kids are older. So if you didn't leave then
saying hey, you know it's time for family, all right.
I give you credit to it to a degree and
lend some credence to it. But it would seem to
(22:10):
me that he's a type of guy that the challenge
is there and the first first order would probably be
to try to run it back. And he talked about
needing Draymond. I thought it was pretty bush league of
the entire crew to say, oh, yeah, yeah, that that
season opening thing between Draymond and Pool. I mean that
(22:31):
we'd still be playing. It's like, are you kidding me?
It went through a full eighty two game regular season
in the season, and then suddenly you guys aren't getting
along in the final stretches, all the states.
Speaker 4 (22:42):
They're never went in another championship. You can forget about it.
Speaker 7 (22:46):
One.
Speaker 4 (22:47):
They've got to decide what they want to do about Clay.
Either trade him, Well Clay's the big question for me. Well,
you can't give him max money like he wants. He's
just not worring.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
No, if someone's willing to go do that.
Speaker 3 (22:56):
Right in the battle between he and James Harden, which
guy my reaching pen and paper towards first the answers
neither go have at it unless I'm signing you.
Speaker 4 (23:07):
For a one years and Klay Thompson right now, Well.
Speaker 3 (23:10):
But you got an ascending, ascending player and a guy
that you know has a lot that he wants to prove,
and you see it each game that he's not shy.
In Game one of this series of the Western Conference Finals,
there was a point where he saw a little bit
of body language change for a spell as his shot
wasn't falling early, and then you know, he got right
(23:33):
back at it, right because that's the mentality and that's
the need that they have for him in his role.
But yeah, I think I'd be looking at the long
term deal with him, and that's where the Lakers get
into a difficult proposition. Not to make it about them
long term, but you do have to make a decision
as to how you're going to be able to allocate resources.
(23:54):
Hachimura has been a nice fine since he was acquired.
Austin Reeves is gonna be able to command an awful
lot of money, not gonna be able to.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
They're not gonna be able to match him.
Speaker 5 (24:02):
He's gonna have to be gone and unfortunately for him
because I know he just works so good with the Lakers.
But he'll he'll go ahead and get the money, and
that he should get the money. It just won't be
with the Lakers. They just can't afford them.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
Bottom line, these guys can find points, uh wherever they are.
But Heat Celtics. I had the Heat in six before
Game one, thinking that if they can keep games close,
i''ll take Spolster and that squad, play Jimmy Butler over
what Boston's given me, even if the Celtics team top
to bottom is healthier, more complete in the air quotes
(24:37):
with Tyler hero out and all the circumstances that had
no Victor Oladipo, h et cetera. That I'll take the
Heat in those circumstances that my coach is gonna get
me one of those wins as well.
Speaker 5 (24:50):
Yeah, I think the clock is striking midnight on the
on the Heat, I think Boston starts picking it up.
Boston wins this and six, maybe loses one more game,
but I think they could to start flexing their muscle.
Speaker 4 (25:01):
I don't know what the line is, what's the line
on the game.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
I believe it's nine.
Speaker 5 (25:05):
Oh boy, I think I would lay that because I
think it's gonna be a blowout.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
Look at you.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
Always got to get a little bit of betting advice
