The way tire buying should be.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Well, big news right now it is over at Chavez Ravine.
Mets beat the Dodgers eight six Mets s metts Smett
s Met's met Smeth's.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Oh, I'm sorry, the other big oh yeah, Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Well, Steve Kerr is getting set to speak right now.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Will bring you some of him coming up in.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
A few minutes as he reacts to the circus that
happened late in the fourth quarter of the Kings win
over the Golden State Warriors. It was a four point game,
ninety one point eighty seven. Kings fans are going crazy.
Warriors are trying to get back in this game. There

(01:29):
was a huge second quarter by the Kings that gave
him a lead, but the Warriors were chipping away, chipping away,
chipping away. Then there was a play under the basket
in which under the King's basket, when the ball started
going the other way, de Monte Sabonis of the Kings
was on the ground. Sabanas decides he's right near Draymond Green.

(01:49):
He grabs Draymond's leg, ostensibly to keep Draymond from getting
up the court and following the play because it's kind
of a fast break. So Sabonis is gonna have to
deal with the ramifications of that. But Draymond Green responds,
not liking it, picking up his right leg, jumping up
in the air and stomping a Christian Letner stomp on

(02:12):
the mid section of Sabonis, and it is it's not
one of those Hey, here's a little one. This is
I am coming down with a WWEE force, except it
was real. A WWE stomp to Sabonis. Sabanis goes down,
he is being looked at. Draymond comes off the court.
He starts screaming at the fans. He goes to the

(02:33):
to the Warriors bench. He stands on a chair. He's
yelling at the fans, give me more, gimme more. He
looks out of control. The fans are screaming. Steve Kerr
has got to come over and calm Draymond down, and
the Warriors have to try to get back in this game,
and they don't. One fourteen, one h six is the
final Sacramento. If it wasn't an insane atmosphere before, he

(02:55):
was even bigger after. And now all the talk is
going to be about play as Jim Jackson broke down
on TNT a few minutes ago.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Again, watch the sequence at the end of the play
down some bonus. He grabs Draymond. Draymond immediately steps on him.
And that was intentional by Draymond with that right foot,
because if you're trying to get out an opponent's way,
you can step over a slightly step on on that
one was a little bit more emphasis because his leg
got grabbed you.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Know, that's really well put too by by Jim Jackson. Look,
this is what he did. He could have avoided it,
he did not. He decided to stomp on him and
very matter of factly saying these are the facts of
what we saw.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
And you know, we went over the the the.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Draymond aspect of this and how this is kind of
who he has been. He has always been a guy
that when the Warriors are winning at he's like one
of those guys where when things are good, he's always happy,
and when things are at boy, he's always mad. Right, Like,
there's no middle of the road, there's things are good,
I'm happy when things are things are bad. And that's
kind of how it went for Draymond. He was out

(04:02):
of control. He helped cost the Warriors the game because
he couldn't keep his cool. Because it's a four point game.
At this point, the Warriors are trying to win this game.
They're getting back in it. Wiggans had just made a
layups Kurt, and hey, we're back. It's a four point game.
Things are looking pretty good. And he does this. But
the other part of this, now, which is really interesting,
is NBA Commissioner Adam Silver who was at the game.

(04:24):
Because right now he's got to do something that you
know he doesn't want to do. He's got to take
a strong stand and he has to suspend Draymond Green,
and you know he doesn't want to do it because
Draymond is a very powerful figure and he has a
lot of influence, and you know he's going to say this,
you saw what was done to me. I didn't react

(04:45):
as big. You have to suspend it everything because Draymond
always he's always the victim right. Whenever something happened, he's
always the victim right. So he's got a loud voice.
He's a very influential player in the NBA. He's gonna
be really influential television when his playing days are done.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
He's to be part of the.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
NBA and their culture for a long time. And Adam
Silver is gonna be part of the NBA culture for
a long time as commissioner. He doesn't want to do anything.
I've told you this so many times. He doesn't want
to get into any kind of controversy because he doesn't
want to have anybody upset at him. He doesn't want
to have to fight a pr battle because he's afraid
he's gonna lose it, or he's afraid he's gonna look
diminished and his power is going to be diminished. He

(05:25):
only wants to be the commissioner when times are good.
He doesn't make big decisions. He doesn't stand up. The
only big decisions made was he booted Donald Sterling. Why
because the player said, if you don't boot him from
the league, we're not gonna play.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
We're walking off the court. Okay, okay, okay, okay.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Everything else he has done, he has let people do
whatever they want to do because he doesn't want to
get involved. And now he's got to get involved because
it's a really big deal. The video evidence is there,
and he's got to just suck it up and swallow him.
Go gulp, Draymond, you're gonna be suspended. Maybe three games,
probably three games. I don't know. I don't know that

(06:00):
this is a one game thing. It seems a little
bit more than a one game thing, especially when he
went on to instigate the crowd after. I don't know
that one game is enough. Maybe he's going to try
to get by with one game because well, if I
do one game, Draymond won't.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Be that mad at me. Even the warriors.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
I don't want people be mad. I mean, this is
the most fascinating part for me, because I know he's
just eating maylocks and thumbs like out of a candy dish.
Adam Silver is because I don't want to make this decision.
I want to just hide and I want to have
somebody else make it. Maybe Joe Dumars will read the statement.
And I don't have to be involved in this because
I'm the commissioner, but I really don't want to do something.

(06:38):
So I am absolutely fascinating how he handles this, because
this is he's the most nervous guy in the world
right now because he doesn't want to do anything.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Well a couple thanks.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
Jo it Woes just tweeted out that Sabonus is undergoing
X rays on his ribs and lungs. He did finish
the game, so precautionary and evaluation going through, but also
sending the note of hey, this is big enough that
he's got to go get ax raised people, and I
mean that's good. Gamesmanshipped by the Kings if ever there
was is they get ready to go back on the

(07:06):
road and head over to Oakland. I'm sorry to San
Francisco now for the next game of the series. But
one of the things is, you know, we bandy about
and talk about this here in the studio, Jason, you know,
prospering and not getting back and forth on it. And
one of the things that comes through for the commissioners
maybe he got himself the out because it was adjudicated

(07:28):
in the moment and they threw Draymond out, So perhaps
they're able to escape any repercussions or need to suspend
him because they threw him out.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
I really don't want to do anything.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
We can we say this is enough and just move on.
I really don't want to do anything strong, honey.

Speaker 5 (07:49):
Because there's many different prevailing lanes people are jumping into.
You got the damn Lillard of what was he supposed
to do? As if they're going to sync up for
a podcast store an album later on this something.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
What else is he supposed to do? Find out? As
I'm the guest on his next podcast.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
I give him several other options and then he puts the.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Link to the podcast.

Speaker 5 (08:12):
No, that's right, Hey, join us live in twenty five
minutes as we flow through with.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Musical get forty wow.

Speaker 5 (08:22):
So you so you have that you've got that lane,
you've got the well, you know Sabonis was dirty, so
all's fair in love and war. Okay, no again. The
exaggerated stomp you know, going to WrestleMania a couple of
weeks ago, was almost like he was gonna grab the
turnbuckle and then it's gonna be like what two and

(08:43):
he's just gonna do like ten stomps to the chest
before waving the crowd. Here, he only needed one leapt
up like a gazelle and went down the court, drawing
the ire of the fans, engaging with the fans and
and everybody jawing, and and then you saw what a
buzz saw that play was. The rest of the way, Uh,
he's he's getting ready to meet with the media now.

(09:05):
Uh so this ought to be fun, but it really is.
For Adam Silver, one of those moments where he could
just turn and uh and duck back down down the
alleyway here.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
But Ken, really, do you really think he Ken? I
think you really think he can?

Speaker 1 (09:19):
There's no way, really, I I mean he's.

Speaker 5 (09:23):
Already I think I hadn't finished the game and he
was done in that moment that that I think you
might have might have been able to make that call.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
All right, well you know what, Uh, we will have
more on that. We'll have more reaction on this, but
right now we want to bring a some of Draymond
Green describing exactly what went on. Here's a little bit
of Draymond talking after the game tonight.

Speaker 6 (09:46):
He was on the ground for that. Loe. No, I
wasn't surprised that he stayed on.

Speaker 7 (09:51):
He said, two times, you've been held with Sabonis both times.

Speaker 8 (09:56):
No, it was Monk last year, right on the baseline
under the round. So either you're going to stop it.
John Goebel was looking at Monk hold my leg the
last game and it just let it go. And Zach
clearly was watching my leg get held this game and
let it go. So I guess ain'kle grabbing is okay.

Speaker 7 (10:19):
How would you describe your actions and the crowds actions
after that? You certainly demand Did you feel you needed
to respond to them? Or do were you hearing anything
that you needed to respond to there?

Speaker 6 (10:30):
No, I'm just having fun. It's a fun game, fun
atmosphere to play in, so it's fun. Jaymont, You guys
have been down three one a couple of times.

Speaker 7 (10:42):
You've been through just about everything, but you haven't been
zero to two in the series going home.

Speaker 6 (10:47):
That's exciting, all right.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
I was gonnash, what.

Speaker 6 (10:51):
A new challenge?

Speaker 8 (10:54):
You know, after the game, I was actually thinking about that, Like, man,
I think this one, this is why we haven't seen yet,
and we've conquered all the rest of them, so why
not go conquer this one?

Speaker 9 (11:06):
Be a lot of fun, a lot of fun. It's good, Draymond,
what have you? How would you look at the first
two games of this series in terms of the way
you guys have played and the way they have played?

Speaker 6 (11:17):
I mean, what are you seeing? I think we've played pretty.

Speaker 8 (11:19):
I mean we've played okay, we haven't played awful, but
we definitely haven't played well. And yet you know, come
down last four or five minutes each game and you
got a chance to win the game.

Speaker 6 (11:32):
So all things considered, I like where we are.

Speaker 8 (11:38):
We just gotta down the stretch, get stops and convert
on the offensive end. But give yourself a chance to win.
That's all you can ask for, and we've did that twice.

Speaker 6 (11:48):
So like it. What have they done to make it
so hard?

Speaker 8 (11:53):
Well, they've made shots, you know, they put a lot
of pressure on our defense, and you know they didn't
they didn't particularly shoot the ball well all night, but
they've made shots down the stretch. So got to get
those guys some credit. But there's a lot of things
we can clean up, all right.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
So there's some of Draymond and you heard there again,
Draymond not taking any responsibility. I guess Ankle grabbing is okay. Wait,
you stomped on a guy. No, no, no, but ankle
grabbing is okay. Uh, dude, you got a technical for it.
I mean, really, he never takes responsibility. He's always the victim.
And none of this is surprising. This is Draymond's act,

(12:36):
Is am I getting tired of it? Yeah, it's I'm
kind of getting tired. It's the same thing with him
all the time, and all the time. I not if
he doesn't realize the trouble that he's in, the suspension
that he's looking at. But I mean, really, I mean
none of this. I knew exactly what he was gonna say.
This is what happened. I'm not surprised Sabona stayed on
the ground. I'm not surprised at this. Ankle grabbing is okay.

(12:57):
I mean that that that's just who Draymond came out
on the you know, look, yeah, yeah, they're not calling
what they should be calling. I don't refere right, yeah yeah, yeah,
yeah yeah, I'm surprised addressing their email address.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
Hit him up at uh, you know, at Scott Foster
dot got you know he he is.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
He is a player who is going to be at
that point for the Warriors where after tonight and Steve
kursepoker to bring some Steve Kerr. Uh, here's some of
that coming up in a few minutes. You're gonna hear
Steve Kerr coming up next where they're going to look
and say, Okay, at this point, is Draymond Green still
worth it? We need to be able to move on.

(13:42):
We're paying him twenty seven million next year, he wants
new contract. Is it time to go now? And and
maybe there's a team that thinks we could be a
fiery Draymond away from winning and you know, we don't
get a lot for him, but we get out from
under Draymond and we get to move on and bring
in another star player that we can pay thirty million
dollars a year too, And a team that's looking for

(14:03):
somebody Draymond's thirty three and if he's like that missing piece,
like maybe like Rodman was to the bulls a second
time around. Yeah, they're gonna look to do that. And
this is the moment where they're gonna say that made
this untenable, because I really don't know how you continue
to go forward with Draymond knowing that this is where
you're at, where you're you're hitting to a point where

(14:25):
you're not gonna pay him.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
You need to move on.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
And he just cost you the end of the game
because he couldn't keep his cool and he won't take
any responsibility for it. Not that he's got to admit
his guilt, but here I'm just on the offensive again,
on the offensive, and yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
And all this stuff is okay.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
It's you know what, other guys get get elbowed, other
guys get hit, other guys get grabbed. Eight ninety nine
percent of the players in the NBA that that happens too.
They don't get technicals or stomp on guys and get suspended.

Speaker 5 (14:53):
Well, you see the reporters though, that they allow him
to get away with it, like he made that statement
like it was like you read a statement, and then
they started asking about the game.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
And defend some lapses and you know all of that.

Speaker 5 (15:05):
It's like no, no, no, no, no, hey, this is
kind of a big flipping deal here, man.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
I'll tell you you'll hear from Steve Kerr coming up next.
What did he have to say about Draymond's antic So
I'll keep it right here, this breaking and developing story,
keep it going. This is Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
Fox Sports Radio. The Jason Smith Show with My base
friend Mike Harmon, What's in the bag?

Speaker 6 (15:40):
A shark or something?

Speaker 1 (15:44):
And the NBA is done for the night. Major League
Baseball is done for the night. The Mets beat the Dodgers.
But we got two games going on in overtime right
now in the NHL. Minnesota and Dallas two to two,
end of overtime. Meanwhile, midway through the first overtime, Oilers
and Kings tied at three. The Oilers scored a really

(16:05):
quick goal about a minute and a half into overtime,
but it got disallowed. Four half thick so they play on.
So the Oilers and the Kings tied three to three
midway through overtime.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Kings way to battle back after that early two tozer deficit.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
I mean everything is coming up Kings tonight right Sacramento, Kings,
La Kings, coming up King Ing, Burger King for lunch
today instead of like like the Beam, I don't know,
you got the Kings, the Kings, the Burger King, King.

Speaker 5 (16:35):
People opening the new stadium club product from tops of
getting the Beam team cards. I mean there's all sorts
of stuff going on.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
I mean, maybe I'm gonna want to after the show
tonight watch the King of Kings or the King and
I or the man who would be King.

Speaker 8 (16:47):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
I don't know what about Kings, Queen's watch King.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
Of I have never seen one episode.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
You're a liar, You're ever seen You've watched Arthur Spooner.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
I shouldn't say.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
I went to one taping of an episode because we
had friends coming in from out of town and she
really wanted to go to a see a show being taped,
and we wound up getting tickets to King of Queens.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
That's the only episode I've ever.

Speaker 5 (17:10):
Seen the guy's a Mets fan, though exactly he's a
Mets and Jets fan. He is, he is, he he
loves just sneak fast food. His wife's not looking. I mean,
all of that runs together. I think it just I
just didn't watch it. And it was the one where
with Jerry Stiller and he's trying to order pizza and
Jerry Stiller gives him the phone number in a really

(17:30):
stupid way when he wants to call. And you know,
when you give a phone number, you go two one
three nine eight seven two five eight fort he goes
one three one seven four two six four eight one. Yeah, Dad,
give me the number.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
I just gave it to you.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
I'll give it to you again. One eight one age
six two one seven. And I had Cranston on there.
I mean, yeah, so many people passed through.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
It's the only one, I said's the only one. I
the only one.

Speaker 5 (17:58):
Any money was on there live they win some money
and then they realized, wait, they they kind of screwed up,
so you know, he didn't want carry to find out.
So their solution was they had to spend it all
and then they they book Eddie money. He comes to
the house and he's saying she was shaking. He's playing
his saxophone, snap into fingers and then he's playing so long,
and they're looking at the clock like carry's gonna come home,

(18:19):
and they're kicking Eddie Money out and because he's going
out the.

Speaker 3 (18:23):
Door and TJ pack your bags will leave tonight.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
That is right, I got you know how cold?

Speaker 1 (18:30):
There never been a game show called Win Eddie Money's Money, Like,
why wasn't they Why did they ever have that?

Speaker 2 (18:36):
When I was gonna say that's why didn't they have that?

Speaker 1 (18:39):
W Yeah, yeah, that's that's I said. Why didn't they
have it?

Speaker 3 (18:42):
Win Eddie's Money or win Eddie Money's Money.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
Rights itself.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
That's money right there.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
You could have had win Don Money's Money, but that
would only done well in Milwaukee.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
So but then the legend of Don Money nicely got money.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
He's on the all time money team, by.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
The way, Well he was speaking on Mayweather was right
into the bench tonight. Well Money, Don Money is your
third basement, right, it's good. Dave Cash is your second baseman,
Reid Nichols is your center fielder.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
So yeah, you have you know you have it happens there.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
Shane McMahon is the manager. The shit comes the money.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
All eyes on Sacramento following the King's one fourteen one
oh six win over the Wards in which Draymond Green
gets a flagrant two and is ejected. Just got ejected
from the game late in the fourth quarter after the
ball starts going the other way after a mishot under
the King's basket and Demonta Sabonis kind of grabs on

(19:44):
the ground, kind of grabs Draymond's legs to stop Hi
from running up court. That's a been a little bit
of a dirty play. Okay, I get it, you know,
and I get that's frustrating. So Demanta Sabonis, obviously that
needs to be looked at. They did look at it
during the game, and they awarded free throws to the war. Okay, now,
was this gonna wind up being something more? All right,
that's got to be looked at. But then you have

(20:05):
no excuse for Draymond Green then getting his leg up
and stomping on Sabonis's stomach. And it was clearly on purpose,
and Draymond Green was very unres not taking responsibility following
the game. Uh, it was really shocking. Well, we're gonna
hear it described right now, and then we're gonna play

(20:27):
a little bit of Steve Kerr for you. Here's how
it was described on T and T by Jim Jackson.

Speaker 6 (20:35):
Steve, what I didn't see the play?

Speaker 1 (20:37):
Oh wait, wait, we're gonna have We're gonna have uh tys.
You're gonna have Jim Jackson first, then Steve Kerr. So,
I have Jim Jackson here, then Steve Kerr uh so
to play that. We're gonna play the play for you
and then play Steve Kerr about twenty twenty five seconds
of him talking about the play after, in which a
pretty surprising answers I would say, come in Steve Kerr's way.

(20:59):

since we played the since we played the Steve Kerfroy,
let's hear Steve Kerr talking about the play. I described
it for you. Here is Steve Kerr addressing Draymond Green's
foot stomp following the game.

Speaker 10 (22:13):
I didn't see a play live, and then I didn't
see the replay. I asked Zach Zarba what happened? He
told me, and I was busy with, you know, getting
the team ready a couple one of the coaches and
told me he might get ejected, and so I was
trying to, you know, prepare for what was next.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
Really deflected a lot of the questions. I didn't see it.
I didn't see this. I didn't see that. I'm not
going to say anything.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
You can tell Steve Kerr has pissed right, you know,
he looks. Steve Kerr and Draymond Green have long had
a relationship where Draymond's behavior has been I don't want
to say aloud, but it's been useful to a point.
And when it gets to that point, you see Steve
Kerr always say, Okay, let's let's make sure we're not
fighting every practice. Let's make sure we're not doing these things.

(23:03):
And they found a way to coexist. But I mean
it when I say, this is that moment you're gonna
point to in the offseason and go, this is when
the Warriors decided Draymond Green wasn't worth it anymore. This
is what they decided they were moving on. They withstood
the punch of Jordan Pool early on in the season
that could have torn the team apart. We withstand that
he comes back. We still don't wind up winning. We're

(23:24):
not on the upswing. We can't win away from home, okay,
but we're going to the playoffs with a little bit
of good feeling. And then late in the second game
when we're trying to win, Draymond loses as cool gets
ejected and continues to make the moment about himself. And
that was something that is going to be the final
straw for the Warriors. They're going to say, is he

(23:46):
helping us anymore? Because that's really what it is. Your
antics are always fine, and they're always part of your
arsenal or whatever you want to say about it, until
your usefulness to the team has maybe hitted zenith.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
And this is not a Warriors team that is getting better.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
This is a Warrior's team that's trying to hang on
and hoping to navigate the Western Conference by either a
the NBA saying they can play all their games at
home or b other teams getting upset, players getting hurt,
and they can be the last team standing. They're not
on the upswing. They're a point where what do we
do for the last few years of Stephan Clay while
they're still thirty point a game scorers, what do we

(24:22):
do We only have so much money to spend Draymond greed.
Is he still worth it? We're paying him twenty seven
million dollars next year. Can we still go forward or
do we need something else? They need something else, And
and this is gonna be that time. They'll get to
the off season and watch watch another team say, okay
for a year, Draymond, We're not gonna give you a
lot for him. That's fine, that's fine, We're moving on,

(24:44):
and Draymond will trade you to a team that you
want to go to. We'll send you to a preferred destination,
all of these things. But this is gonna be that
moment because this is now twice during the season where
Draymond's done some things that a I could have could
have ripped the team apart or be ended their season,
and tonight might be both of those things.

Speaker 5 (25:01):
Player option on his deal for this coming year. So
we'll see what happens as you get to it. But yeah,
this is one. You're down four points and clearly defensively,
you've got many lapses. They've done everything they can to
try to cover up Jordan Poole as possible through through
the season and into this postseason, and I'm sure that's

(25:22):
a lot of the beef that Green and had with
him going all the way back to getting things started
this season. But you always have to decide, well, what's
the value on a guy to come in if you
need that enforcer like player agitator for your superstar to

(25:43):
protect him, and you could probably think maybe your favorite
NBA team needs that guy. Sorry, I can't send it
to Dallas because you already you already got to figure
out the Kyrie and Lucas situation.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
But you get my point that you're.

Speaker 5 (25:56):
Going through and saying on a one year deal where
he's gotta be on his best behavior, get back to
the business of playing basketball like he did a year ago.
Remember how he wanted to impress his son and you
saw what it was able to be accomplished this year.
You've got this moment and defiant about it, talking about
being held in both games and calling out the referees specifically,

(26:21):
and to your point about, uh, you know, Adam Silver,
he's never done anything and that's your biggest criticism, like
he ain't getting involved here. Come on, man, this is
the one where suddenly he's gonna be a man of action.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
Nah.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
But for Steve Kerr, Yeah, they.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Commissioner Adam Silver is now out of the country and
unreachable for the next week.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
Now he went on in Ayahuasca.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
Oh he's a dart.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Right, three to four days gone. He's hiding in Oregon.

Speaker 5 (26:51):
But for Steve Kerr, yeah, it is the tough thing
because you watch how this team had to battle and
you got Andrew Wiggins back and you thought, all right,
well it'll take him some time. No, he came back
and it was a miss three point shot in game one,
perhaps from them stealing that game instead. Now you're down
two to zher. You went through a bunch of injury

(27:13):
issues Draymond. Now this moment is huge. You still had
seven minutes to try to finish the game, right, You're
only down four at that point, but they go down
they can't finish and execute in the final minutes. And
now if you lose in the first round, then yeah,
it becomes the pivotal seminal moment. If somehow they rally

(27:36):
back and he plays great basketball on the home court
these next couple of games, then while not all is forgiven,
you get past it because you still believe, and I
think some do. I don't know where I'm at on
the game. I lean more towards No because they don't
play defense, but neither do the Kings generally.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
So well, here's the thing I'm gonna I'll give you
a hot take right now.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
I'll give you a real they get you gonna say
that no are gonna get because that's what everybody's was saying.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
That the Clippers are gonna get swept right out.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
I'm gonna give you a piping hot take right now.
This series is gonna be too two coming back Sacramento.
Even with with or without Draymond, he'll be there. This
series is gonna be going back to Sacramento tied to to.

Speaker 5 (28:17):
He's gonna be there, and he's gonna be taunting everybody,
whether he plays or not.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
Well, I think if you're I don't think. I don't
think they're gonna lie the suspended Draymond Green.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
He ain't getting suspended. That's what I'm telling you.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
He's got to get suspended.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
There's no way he gets suspended.

Speaker 3 (28:32):
But there's no way.

Speaker 5 (28:34):
Your guy is not a man of action, there's no
Your guy is a man of a tersely worded letter.
This is unacceptable. He's gonna get fined a lot of money.
And he's gonna get fined a lot for calling out uh,
calling out the officials by name.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
Hey, you send your letters to these two guys because
they just stood there and watched me get held.

Speaker 5 (28:55):
It's okay for people to hold my ankles. No, no, no,
he's gonna get a big envelope saying you owe us
a lot of moneies, but beyond that, non.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Any money.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Same monies you owe me money? Why said? This is why? Said?

Speaker 1 (29:09):
Adam Silver is the most nervous guy in the world.
He doesn't want to do anything. He doesn't want to
come down there, and he won't. He doesn't want to
suspend him, but he's going to have to. Why he's
the guy in charge this.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
He doesn't have to do a damn.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Thing because unfortunately NBA games are televised and they're televised
coast to coast their children And then now let's show
you another preview of what about the children?

Speaker 2 (29:32):
He has another commercial for the Pope's Exorcist.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Yeah, he's.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
Making the children make of the children. Oh no, hey,
don't forget in theaters, evil dead rises. He's sleeps.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
Let's watch Russell Crowe bleed from his eyes rather than
you talk about Draymond Green. He's gonna have to get suspend.
He's gonna have to Why that because because he's.

Speaker 2 (29:58):
The whole world saw him get kicked out of the game.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
That's not right now.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
But you can't have that happen and not get a suspension.
Can't have it happen and not get a suspension.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
All of a sudden, You're you just think your guy's
gonna do something. This is this is quite a guilt turn.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
Oh no, no, no, this won't be this will be enough.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
Champion for Silver.

Speaker 3 (30:16):
Look at you, No, no, no, this is what's gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
You never thought i'd hear the day.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
It's gonna come through.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Joe Dumars and Adam Silver's gonna then send a back
channel email to Draymond going, hey, I'm so sorry, but
I had to do it. I didn't want to, so
I gave so I passed it down to Joe Dumars.
I said, Joe, whatever you decide, I'm unreachable for my
darkness retreat. I'm sorry I couldn't do anything for your Draymond.
Please don't hate me. Sincerely, Adam Silver. That's what's gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
To start saying? Please don't leave me by pink. Please
be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific, Fox.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
Sports Radio The Jason Smith Show with My best friend
Mike Harmon. Uh, we'll get to the play then I
coming up in a couple of minutes. But just some
more another angle on the Draymond Green situation, and and
and why I keep saying this is the end for
Draymond and Golden State. You're looking at his final days
with the team. Uh, likely he will get suspended for

(31:17):
stomping on de Monte Sebona. See but you're ready, but no,
but no, But I say this because you're ready for
my hot take. They're both gonna get suspended. This is
how they're gonna cover.

Speaker 6 (31:27):
Well.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
Sabonis instigated the play by grabbing Draymond Green's leg.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
And now I don't I gotta suspend one. But how
do I make it fair?

Speaker 1 (31:36):
So they're gonna suspend Sabonis for a game, and they're
gonna suspend Draymond Green for a game.

Speaker 5 (31:40):
See, I think they go Vegas Blackjack Dealers style, there's
fines Levy, there's tersonly word and emails maybe, and it
does a little video thing and that's it and they
move on.

Speaker 1 (31:53):
Because that's gonna be a way for the league to say,
all right, we suspended Draymond because we had to, but Sabonis, hey,
we understand he did something too, and we likely give
the advantage to the Warriors because you know, you're taking
a better player away from the Kings and we can
have a nice long series.

Speaker 3 (32:11):
It's gonna be great. Everybody wins, right.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
Adam Silver's like, yeah, I still don't feel good by
tummy is turning, because all I don't want to do
something because I like to do nothing, But this might
be the best solution.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
That's gonna be my solution. They suspend both of them
for the next game.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
That's a pretty good hot take.

Speaker 5 (32:26):
I don't think it's gonna happen, and I think they
just laugh and say, hey, people paying attention to our
games out of Monday Night, we win.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
Now what reality show did we beat in that window.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
Where we hired to have a higher rating than Young Sheldon?

Speaker 3 (32:40):
Oh that's not till Thirsty.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
Oh well, I mean the reruns are on every night.

Speaker 3 (32:44):
So listen to Draymond after the games.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
So I'm gonna say something else about him, about why
this is gonna be the final straw for him with
the Warriors.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
After the game was over, he was asked.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
His reasoning for stomping on to Monte Sabonis after Sabonis
grabbed it, And this is what Draymond had to say, And.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
Can you just walk us through what happened there?

Speaker 8 (33:05):
My leg got grabbed second time in two nights. Referees,
just watch it. I gotta lay my foot somewhere. And
I'm not the most flexible person, so that's not stretching
that far.

Speaker 6 (33:16):
So you didn't really see where you were stepping. I
can only step so far. I'm pulling my leg away.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
Uh huh uh huh uh.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
So here's Draymond, who is now someone who has done this,
who early on in the season gets into a fist
five punches, Jordan Poole gets suspended, was away from the team,
and that was okay, maybe that's the last straw. But
here he is in a playoff game, in the final

(33:47):
quarter of a playoff game, where he loses his cool,
he commits a dirty play, He gets a flagrant too.
He incites the crowd, as if the crowd needed to
be insided anymore in Sacramento because they're crazy already crazy
happy for the series.

Speaker 3 (34:02):
They go on to lose the game. He costs them.
It helps cost them a.

Speaker 1 (34:06):
Game with his behavior, and then afterwards takes zero responsibility
for it.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
They've been grabbing my leg the last night's not being called.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
Wait what, Yes, you're the only guy who has had
fouls committed against them the last couple of games that
they're not calling. You're the only guy. So I had
no choice but to do what I did, and I
foot had to land somewhere. He helps cost them the
game and he takes no responsibility for it after In
other words, I'm gonna do whatever the hell I want
to if I'm the Warriors.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
This is one of those.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
Dude, we're all in a room right now and the
door is locked. You do something like that again, you're
gonna have a problem with all of us. I don't
give a crap how many titles you won. I don't
give a crap how big of a leader you are.
We are gonna have problems because you just helped cost
us this game and you don't even take any responsibility
for it.

Speaker 3 (34:55):
How dare you?

Speaker 1 (34:56):
I mean, come on, man, be a man.

Speaker 2 (34:59):
Dare you? How damn you're talking to me like I'm
a child. How did dare you?

Speaker 1 (35:03):
Because he acted like a child, I mean real, look
at what he did.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
Come on, man, he went on shaggy wasn't me?

Speaker 1 (35:09):
Then he's completely out of control, screaming at the crowd.

Speaker 3 (35:12):
It's like, what what are you doing?

Speaker 7 (35:14):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (35:14):
Come on?

Speaker 5 (35:15):
He was hyping them up on this what would have
been the sixty ninth birthday of the Great Rowdy Roddy Piper.
He was getting the crowned sense McMahon.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
Okay, Draymond's the play of the night. Of course, it

(35:45):
I want to do this now hey, now again. His
podcast will be and must listen right. In fact, I
can't believe he didn't walk up and say, Draymond, can
you take us through what happened on the play. No,
not really, but my podcast will be up in about
an hour or so, so you're gonna want to download. Look,
I'll send out a link to all your reporters just
to just hit it up and I'll send it out
so you can listen to that. So at least at

(36:06):
least people listen to his podcast now. So I mean,
because I don't know, he hadn't done anything in the
last few weeks and make people want to listen.

Speaker 3 (36:12):
So maybe now people listen. I don't know.

Speaker 5 (36:13):
I'm so impressed that's not already up. I mean that's
self control, something he didn't have on the court.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
Like he starts recording it on his way to the
locker room.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
No, I'm standing in the tunnel now. You can join
me on Instagram Live. I'm standing in the tunnel now.
I've just been injected.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
Listen to the crowd.

Speaker 2 (36:31):
Look at him, Look at what I did. Look what
I've ratley showing.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
The video behind him. Hey, look right here, get on
right now. Let me see those likes. Hit those hearts.
I want to see those likes. Oh, coming up next,
my buddy Ben mallor what a night this is?
