Speaker 2 (00:24):
Let's get this, punnies, you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
It is The Odd Couple. I'm Chrissy's Rob.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
We're live from the tire rack dot Com studios. Tirag
dot com will help you get there wherever there may be.
They've got an unmatched selection, fast free shipping, free row
hazard protection, and more than ten thousand recommended to installers.
Tie rag dot com is the way tire buying should be.
In The Odd Couple is the way sports talk radio

(00:57):
should be. So keep it locked, all right, Rob, We
talked a little bit last week. You you have called
several times Kevin Durant NBA dead, but recently a lot
of people been talking about, you know, him having a
role in at least a similar role to what people

(01:18):
think Lebron may have had in getting rid of Darvin Ham.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
And that was maybe a passive aggressive role.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
You know, Durant, there was talk he wasn't happy in
the offense and things like that. So Frank Vogel was fired.
They hire Mike Budenholzer. So before we go into Durant, Moore, Rob,
what do you think of the hire of Butenholzer?

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Real quick?

Speaker 4 (01:40):
I mean, now, aren't that many guys out Chris as few?
You know that you just replaced the guy who had
a championship right in his back pocket. There aren't that
many guys laying around. All the gold coaches Chris who
have won, they're all done, they're all retired to all
the coach so there's no there's no new breed, you
know what I mean, like for real, I mean not proven.

(02:02):
I mean the Doc Rivers all right, that's it. It's
like there's not that many people. So bow holds of
Chris might be the only guy out there. You're trying
to win a championship. You want to get somebody. You're
not willing to give JJ Reddick the keys for an
unproven coach at this point. So I think this is

(02:22):
the only option really for them.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
It's a good one, but I just think their problems
are bigger than the coach.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
Oh, I agree with that. I think they got personnel issues. Chris, Uh,
the bench paper thin. We talked about it like it's
top heavy.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Bill.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
Is that a real fixed, Chris? Is that a real fit?
I mean, I know, you know it's.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
A mean healthy you know, like if I get why
or would take it. It's a challenge, but it's a
challenge where you have a ton of you know, FI
dollar team right right, the money not to But I
just I think the thing is ROB, and I think

(03:05):
we should be we should be careful not to do this.
I don't mean just me and you, I mean the
media in general or even the public. We shouldn't lower
the kind of the standard for this team, ROB because

(03:26):
of because our expectations have been lowered, right like when
they when you come together with Kevin Durant, Devin Booker
now Bradley Beal.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Hack ROB, even when it was Booker and Durant.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Of course, people championship right, and Phoenix has been good.
They've been we know they were in the finals a
few years ago. They've been to the finals before and
they passed. They just haven't been able to get over
the hump. So when they brought in Kevin Durant when
he said he wanted to go there, rob the thinking

(03:59):
was championship. And I'm just saying, look, I think many
of us think, Okay, they'll be better with Budenholzer. But
if better is just getting to the second round winning
fifty five games, then that shouldn't That's not good enough.
It should be championship or bus for this team. And

(04:20):
I think we should keep those high, lofty standards as
the bar for this squad. But anyway, Kevin Durant now,
our friend Stephen A. Smith was talking about Durant today
on First Take. Robie made a strong statement.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Here's because he was Okay.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
We got where Mike Wilbond didn't go into details that
all of us covering the NBA are fully aware of.
Kevin Durant in Phoenix is a problem. It is a problem.
We don't see it because the stats are there. Him
and Booker average twenty seven points per game and what
have you. But they say Kevin Durant is never happy.

(05:05):
They say that he went more than a month without
even talking to.

Speaker 6 (05:09):
The head coach.

Speaker 5 (05:10):
They say that he doesn't look happy there and all
he wants to do is play. When the game starts
and tip off Tom Arribs. But when it comes to
ingratiating yourself with your teammates and getting along with everybody
and stuff like that, he just lives in his own world.
He's not hated, he's not despised. He's not doing anything negative.

(05:32):
He's not being somebody that's two facing it behind people,
back doing stuff. No, that's not who Kevin Durant is.
But keeping to himself, why does that matter? It's similar
to what he was doing in Golden State.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
All right, A lot of the strong statement, Dear Rob,
what I want to harp on is, I.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
Mean, it's sad.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
If this is true, we know Kevin Durant wasn't happy
in Golden State because cause he left. And he even
said Rob, after he won his first championship, it was
like kind of okay.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
You know.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Brooklyn.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
We can surmise he wasn't happy because he asked to
be traded. He chose Brooklyn. He chose Golden State too,
and he asked to be traded. So those are two
and now he again hand chose Phoenix, and if this
is true, he is not happy there. And Rob, Kevin

(06:30):
Durant said on his own podcast, So this we know
is true. He and I'm not doubting Stephen A. Smith's reporting.
I just haven't heard that personally. But Kevin Durant said
this on his Boardroom podcast Rob. He was asked what
were his most enjoyable seasons in the NBA. Here's a

(06:52):
direct quote. It has to be the OKC time period
because it was like the entry point into all of this.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
That's like the foundation of everything.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
We were young, and we were playing against dynasties, you
know what I'm saying. We were competing against the Lakers
with Kobe when they won back to back, Dallas when
they won a championship, Miami with Lebron and Dwayne Wade.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
That was the start of it all.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
And I think a coming in early me, James Harden,
Russ Westbrook, Serge Ibaka. We were twenty two or twenty three,
thrown into the fire.

Speaker 7 (07:28):
Rob.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
It's just like I said, I really hope Kevin Durant
is happy because he's got Rob everything he could want,
as far as everything money could buy, right, he could
get any type of material item.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
He's obviously right.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
You're playing the game you love at the highest level.
You're one of the all time greats. You've made a
market in the league. You don't lot you can you know,
beautiful women at your disposal if you're like like, I
don't mean disposed, but you know, you know, like they're
therefore you like him if you want that.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
And so I hope this isn't the case.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
But interestingly, Rob, it would seem if he says okay
s was his happiest time, then it seems like he
may have left a situation he really liked just because
of the pressure to win championships.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
Well, I take it as he doesn't want that pressure
anymore and he wants to just when people weren't expecting
anything when he first came in, like to win anything.
And maybe that's what it is, Chris, like the idea,
like the expectations right that there were no expectations really
for him. And when he was with Okay see because
they were young and everything they did, people were you.

(08:50):
I remember the Kevin Durant when he won the MVP
and his mom and all that that was it was cute, right, Chris.
I mean, like, seriously, I don't know what other world
to use is not the right word. It was cute, No,
it was it was very nice and all that kind
of stuff that came from a young guy. So I
loved all that. But a lot of a lot of

(09:11):
people don't want to deal with the pressures that come
with it, all the money and the expectations. Let's be honest.
When he got traded to Phoenix, people had them penciled
in all they gonna make a run in the West.
Oh my god, him and Devin Booker. How are you
gonna stop those two?

Speaker 8 (09:25):
Right?

Speaker 4 (09:26):
That was that was a feeling.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Rob.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
I think you make an outstanding point because I could
see how you know when you're a kid growing up
wanting to play in the NBA. I mean, you just
want to play that you love it. You want to play,
you want to make millions. Heck, you want to be famous,
you want to be on TV. You want to hit
the last second shot, right, all of that and if

(09:51):
you let it you Obviously, in the NBA it is
a business, as it should be. I mean, you're getting
paid your professional it should be a business.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
But I think Rob.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
All of the outer stuff, including people like us, right,
we can take away a player's joy if you let it.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
So hearing God, hearing talking hands.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
On television on radio every day, sometimes praising you, oftentimes
criticizing you. Fans on social media same thing, most often
probably criticizing you.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
The pressure to win.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Oh is he Yeah, he puts up numbers, but Kenny win,
Kenny win championship?

Speaker 3 (10:37):
Is he a leader?

Speaker 1 (10:38):
Like if I was in this position, I mean, they're
rob they're they're already there's proof of how social media
can you know, bring about depression, anxiety and just it's
hurting people's mental health. And uh, if you're an NBA
player or a superstar in any way.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Then that could be you know, even tenfold.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
And so I just think that if this is true,
then you know, Kevin Durant Mayne, you know he loves
the social media, But does.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
He love it?

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Is it helping him? I don't know, because he just
shouldn't be. If that's what's bothering you, all the pressure,
the expectations, turn it off, Chris.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
How many times have I told you when I meet
young players and they come to Detroit or wherever city
I'm working in and they I just have a little
talk with them. Not I'm not preaching to them. I'm
not you know, like advice. As a reporter, I always
say that's this stuff is not for you. I'm telling
I'm just telling you. It's for the fans, Chris. The

(11:47):
newspaper stories, uh, you know, the radio shows, the television shows.
It's not for you. It just isn't because you'll get
your feelings hurt no matter what the stuff you do.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Chris the best player in the world or you know
has been.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
He's in the Gold Conversation and look how much criticism
he gets, right, I just I would not even pay
attention to it. If I were like a player like that,
I really wouldn't pay attention to it. I wouldn't be
reading the stuff. I wouldn't be on social media like that.
I have my team posting stuff and all that for
the job or you know, as a job for it, but.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
Like your team that posts for you to now do
you hear that?

Speaker 7 (12:30):
Rob?

Speaker 3 (12:30):
He just no, I would I would if I know
what you freaking what do you have to have?

Speaker 4 (12:37):
Because you press that's part of the culture we live
in now.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
Right, But I wouldn't be engaged in it myself, like
because I think it's just too much. And look lebron
Ron after the situation in Dubtlas or his first year
in Miami. What do he do for I don't know
how long, ten years, I don't know what it was.
He went zero, dark thirty, he called it right. So
during the playoffs, no social media, I'm not watching Sports Center,

(13:06):
I'm not watching debate shows. I'm cutting all of that off,
and he obviously was able to go in and win
his championships.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
Michael Jordan, Rob.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
After three Pete stepped away, and we know that just
the strain of being in the spotlight like he was,
you know, was a burden on him and Kevin Durant.
Rob I've always said that, you know, when people said
he was weak, and he was, you know, forgetting it,

(13:37):
you know, being so involved in social media.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
I've always said, you know what, I actually think he's
strong because to.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Be able to read all that stuff and engage like
that and not have it affect your play. Because Rob,
you know, in New York especially, we see it all
the time, but it can affect your play. People can
get in your head, I'm not as good as I
I thought I was. They're saying I'm this, They're saying
I'm not. He has not done it. His play has

(14:06):
been consistently great.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
Which is impressive. Considering the stress and the.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
Struy, maybe Rob maybe it does take a toll, maybe
not in his play, but his in his psyche off
the court.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
You know what I mean, is that affecting his happiness.

Speaker 4 (14:22):
That's why when you see people like Chris and we
could I always say, Derek Jeter play twenty years in
New York, really playing shortstop for the New York Yankees,
you know what goes with that?

Speaker 9 (14:35):
Right?

Speaker 4 (14:35):
And they didn't win every year. I mean, obviously they
had a hell of a run.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
You think he and like really paid attention to a
lot of the stuff that was out there.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
I think he didn't let it bother him. I really,
I just think that Derek had a solid thought process
on it. I can remember once, speaking of Skip, Bayless
said or kind of suggested once something like that Derek
Jeter might be on the juice or something like that. Right,
and and they went to Derek, you know what I mean,
Like this was on national telephone on ESPN, and he

(15:06):
didn't like flip out or go crazy or whatever. He said,
maybe we should test Skip, you know what I mean?
Look at his body, you know, like like I just
thought it was the right response, you know what I
mean like he didn't go ballistic or make some big
think about it. I think he was even killed. And
everybody's not like that. They can't handle like some controversies.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
No, I would always say to players or anybody rib
including in our profession, you have to know what type
of person you are if reading all this stuff bothers you.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
I mean, you block people.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Whether it's blocking people, whether it's not really paying attention
to it at all, or if you're the type of
person that's fueled by it. Right Tom Brady, Michael Jordan,
they seem to be fueled by a lot of the criticism.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
So, but you have to know who you are.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
If you're a type of ason that this stuff bothers,
then you don't need to be reading it every day,
you know, for your sanity. So I hope that Cavian
Durant is happy. Rob He's picked all these different places
Golden State, Brooklyn, Phoenix and hasn't seemed happy in any
of them.

Speaker 4 (16:07):
You know what the next team he should play, He
should go play in OZ. That's that he might be happy.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
There, all right.

not he's happy in Phoenix?

Speaker 4 (17:56):
All right, let's kick it off with AJ in San Francisco.
You're in the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio or some.

Speaker 9 (18:03):
Guys doing well?

Speaker 4 (18:04):
Great?

Speaker 3 (18:05):
How are you? How are you all right?

Speaker 8 (18:06):
All right? Hey? So one thing, do you guys think
that there's like an open season on on KD And
how he's covered versus a guy like Lebron?

Speaker 3 (18:17):
You know, I think Lebron is covered hard, much harder
than Durant.

Speaker 4 (18:22):
I mean, makes the point about just the number of
coaches that have been fired during Durant's run recently, and
Lebron is the same.

Speaker 9 (18:31):
But you don't hear that right right right, So respectfully,
I'll say to give your perspective, I'm thirty eight, so
I'm a year younger than Lebron. I saw Jordan Kobe,
you know lebron Ois. You know, I'll be honest, I'm
not a Lebron fan, but I understand Lebron's criticized heavily.
But I feel like, just a.

Speaker 8 (18:53):
Suggestion for KD he should get him a Nick right,
a standon Sharp, he should get him a Rich Paul.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
Yeah, but Lebron's not. Lebron's not going out like honey
for those guys.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
They just like it.

Speaker 8 (19:07):
Yeah, I mean, I understand that. But but from the public,
we understand that those guys are considered Lebron supporters.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Yeah, but they're not. They're not.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
It's not like Lebron or Clutch or something went out
to them and say, hey, why don't you guys support us?

Speaker 3 (19:21):
They just chose to do that.

Speaker 8 (19:23):
Well, I mean, wow, do.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
You need No nobody's paid, ain't paying nobody to say
positive stuff about Lebron, Right.

Speaker 4 (19:32):
But I know what you're saying. I know what you're saying.
You're just saying you feel like Lebron has a camp
in the media where Lebron where Durant has nobody. I mean,
that's what he's saying, Chris, But but it's not.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
But it's not the skip Bayless is very favorable of Durant.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
Well, he's from his hometown. Okay, see play for them, right. Unbelievable, unbelievable.
All right, let's go to Will in Wisconsin. You're in
the couple five sports radio.

Speaker 7 (20:02):
What's what's going on?

Speaker 3 (20:04):
Guys? What's up?

Speaker 7 (20:05):
Man here?

Speaker 4 (20:06):
Yes, well what's up?

Speaker 7 (20:07):
Connection was a little bit choppy, but yeah, Manu. With
the whole KD situation, guys, I think Chris to your point,
KD has been a I won't say a victim of
his own success, but he's been typecast as being able
to be that guy after so many great years or
so many you know, performances. We saw him at OKC
lose against Lebron with a few other at least in
this generation all stars or future Hall of famers in

(20:29):
a in a Westbrook and the James Harden there. So
we have that watching KD. Then we see KD go
to a team and win and be that, and so
we say, hey, he's he has the skill, the prerecords
ability to go out and do that. But like to
your point, Chris, like like those teams that have acquired him, uh,
that net situation outside of injury and things just wasn't

(20:52):
put well together when you began that conversation with LaMarcus
Aldridge and not being available on any know, and medically
and stuff like that, and other players, and so that
went that way. Then he goes to Phoenix and we
begin that conversation, Well, let's pair you with Bradley Beal
six or seven seasons after that should have happened, and
he's not even gonna be available, and let's go win

(21:12):
a championship. Nobody would be enthused about that. So I think,
at least for his playability, his legacy I think will
be you know, what we'll see, you know, if there
will be another championship, or if he'll just be that
basketball savant.

Speaker 3 (21:27):
All right, appreciate it, well, thank you, yeah, yeah, all right.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
Uh, it's the Odd Couple, Chris and Rob the Knicks.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
Rob.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
They're tied too too, but a lot of people feel
like their days are numbered.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
We'll get into that next, but first.

Speaker 2 (21:45):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple

That's Expresspros dot Com. And now it's time for the
Express pros Pro of the Week. The Pro the Week
goes to none other than Tyrese Halliburton. Rob the last
two games in Indiana, he's averaged twenty seven points, six assists,
and five rebounds on fifty three percent shooting to help

(22:34):
the Pacers even the series with the Knicks at two
games a piece.

Speaker 3 (22:39):
Heading back to New York for tomorrow Knights game.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
So again, congratulations to Tyrese Halliburton for being our.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
Express pros Pro of the Week.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
All right, Rob, the Knicks tied it to I picked
them in six in this one still possible, But I
rob their on fumes. I do think that they are
engendering a lot of respect. You can't help but respect
their effort, their mental toughness. But Rob, they're just falling apart, yep,

(23:15):
I mean the right their best player.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
They already were without Julius Randall.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
Then Mitchell Robinson got her he just had surgery today,
I believe, and then.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
Who else went?

Speaker 1 (23:29):
Ojion Nanobi got hurt and rob Here's the thing, and
you remember when they got Islanobi in that mid season
trade they took off. That's really what turned them around.
And they are since he's been there, rob they are
twenty six and five with him, thirteen and sixteen without him,

(23:51):
and in this series they're zero and two without him,
two and oher with him.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
So that's a huge loss.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
Now, Jalen Brunson has a bad foot and he's playing
through Isaiah Hartenstein had a shoulder injury.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
He had X rays which were negative, but he's banged up.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
Now he's playing and they're just you know, guys are
playing a ton. Josh hart forty four minutes a game.
He's averaging in the postseason. Right, this is the this
is TIBs all over Chris. This is what he's done
right his whole career. Yeah, and so that's why I
want to ask you, how much do you quickly Jalen

(24:30):
Brunson forty one minutes a night, Ojihon and o be
forty minutes a night in the playoffs. And that's including
Rob the last game just now when they played, you know,
against the Pacers that were blown out in game four
and Hard and Brunson didn't play much because they were
so far behind. So how much do you put I mean,

(24:51):
these are soft tissue issuies, injuries, a hamstring right right?

Speaker 3 (24:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (24:57):
Do you put on TIBs for kind of running these
dudes into the ground.

Speaker 4 (25:03):
I gotta put a lot of it, only because the
numbers and the minutes were gonna creep up, Chris as
you went along. And that was the danger in playing
guys those kind of minutes, is that will you have
enough to close it out? Right? Will you have enough?

Speaker 3 (25:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (25:22):
And that's that's something that that's why, that's why you
don't have five guys on the team, Chris and they
just play right. There's a reason for that.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Yeah, we were talking about today on TV. Nick Wright
made an interest a good point. He was like, look,
when you take out Anthony Edwards and put in to
kill Alexander for him, it's not because you think nik
kill is better.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
You just understand I gotta get my.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
Man or Brad gotta get him a blow. I got
I have to.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
I mean come on, you would never take Lebron and
Anthony Davis and jokicch and Michael Jordan back in the day.
You never take him out if they could just play
forty eight minutes.

Speaker 4 (26:04):
And that's the point. That's exactly what I'm saying, Like
you know better and because you know how this plays
on you going forward and you're taking a risk. I
know you're trying to get to the next round. And
you're my guys, My heart and Brunting are better than
anybody I can put in. I get all that, but
there's gotta be situations or moments in the game Chris

(26:27):
as a coach, to start a to end a quarter
or you know what I mean, or between this and
then the halftime. If I take him out here, he'll
get four minutes, right, hopefully will hold on to a plus.
We'll get the halftime, you know what I mean, Chris,
and then he can get a good break like sometimes
you have to rob.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
Even the game when Brunson hurt his foot, he remember
he came back. Was that game too. He came back
and when they didn't think he would and he ended
up playing the entire second half on a bad foot.
Now again credit to him, But don't you need to

(27:10):
get him a few minutes? I mean, and Rob, it's
just not like in Tims is a very good coach,
you know, I mean you he gets like this team,
he's getting the most out of him as he has
for most of his career. Didn't in Minnesota, but he
did in Chicago. We know he was doing a great

(27:31):
job there. But Rob, this is not really like long
term thinking. Because even Rob, if they somehow survive Indiana,
it's not like the season's over.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
You got a whole nother series with Boston.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
And then if you get that, I mean, you know,
we don't expect me to get past them, but if
they did, then you got the final.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
I mean, that's what your goal is. But I don't
know how many dudes they'll have left.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
That's the problem. And you know, I know it's as
a coach or manager in any sport, right, it's about
managing people, Chris, It's like that's a part of it.
You don't just put the best players out and just
just play to your legs fall off. No, that that's
not what you do.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
Yeah, and.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
It is. It is intriguing. And look, we talked about it.
I think I said last week Michael Jordan his career
playoff average ROB was like forty one minutes a game career.
But if Carrie Kittles and some others are right, Rob,
it is and it makes sense. It is a more

(28:47):
like you have the defense because the offense is so
spread out, you have to cover much more ground defensively, Rob,
And so those forty two minutes now might be I know,
I don't know if Carrie's theory is correct, but it
makes some sense that those forty two in this era

(29:08):
might be harder than the forty two.

Speaker 4 (29:12):
Agree. There's more ground to cover, and it's just a
whole different way of playing.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
It used to be more physical, so so you know
you're getting hit harder, you're banging more.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
So that that your range.

Speaker 4 (29:23):
Of motion wasn't as right as wide I think right
because gods were stationary Chris, big guys that were down
low and you know what, if they don't have a shot,
they kick it out to you. You on the perimeter.
It was just different.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
It was different, right, So I don't know.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
I mean, I think, look, I will give Indiana because
I want to give them some credit. It's not just
that the Knicks are banged up seriously, right, they're playing
with and rob Let's face it. I mean, and they
did get a bad whistle, and I think in New
York they did. They should be a three one, They
could be a three to one. They possibly could have

(30:01):
won those two games. But you know, I'll give New
York credit, but Indiana is playing them tough, and Tyrese
Haliburton has come alive and.

Speaker 4 (30:09):
So looking more like the guy we saw early.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
Yeah. Yeah, and look I picked the Knicks. I'll stick
with that.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
But at this point, Rob I wouldn't be surprised now
if Indiana gets this.

Speaker 4 (30:20):
I think Indiana's in the driver's see.

Speaker 3 (30:22):
Chris, even though they don't have home court.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
Yep, I do. I just I just think the Knicks
are on fumes, and you know, you just can't keep
taking away from a team and expecting the same results.
I just I just think there's just not enough left.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
If you're Indiana, you gotta be thinking, man, we should
win this series. Not just like you've been out playing them,
but when you look at the way they're falling apart,
how many people are.

Speaker 4 (30:51):
Out robbed, devastated, right.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
And they're young, so they're probably they can be like, look,
we got to the second round next year, watch out
for us, you know, but they really should.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
They should beat the Knicks.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
I mean, right, the Knicks are so banged up. They
should beat the Knicks. It's just as simple as that.
Jalen Brunson, Rob is I mean, we know early in
the playoffs he was the best player in the playoffs, arguably, right,
and now he's not been that guy in the last
two games since he's been injured, and the Pacers gotta

(31:27):
take advantage of that. Shame on them if they don't.
You know, he shot six for seventeen in Game four,
eighteen points, which isn't bad eighteen points, but just the
lack of efficiency. He's scoring because somebody has to score
in the balls always in his hands, but he's not
being efficient, and so Indiana really has to capitalize on this.

(31:50):
So and I'm with you, I wouldn't be surprised if
they do just that. All right, More Couple coming your way,

Speaker 3 (32:50):
Didn't really listen to it very much?

Speaker 3 (33:06):
All right. It is the Odd Couple.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
Chris and Rob live from the tire right dot Com Studios. Rob,
we we just talked about these Celtics taking out the
Cleveland Cavaliers. Now they're up three to one. They won
one oh nine, one oh two. Donovan Mitchell out for Cleveland,
and uh, it may be a rap for the I

(33:28):
mean no, not many people expect that Cleveland to win
this series anyway. But the big story of one of
the big stories that not this night is that sitting
course eye.

Speaker 3 (33:40):
Did you see it?

Speaker 7 (33:40):
Rap?

Speaker 1 (33:41):
I saw Lebron James and his lovely wife Savannah.

Speaker 4 (33:45):
What's she doing wearing a fur hat? Chris in May
in Cleveland? Is it that?

Speaker 6 (33:49):
Know?

Speaker 3 (33:49):
In Cleveland it might be cold.

Speaker 4 (33:51):
I mean, but you saw that for Hatchie. She looked
I thought she looked real chic. Oh no, no, the
hat is awesome. I'm just saying a fur hat in I.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
Was in Cleveland.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
It might be who knows, it might be forty degrees
there right there off Lake Erie.

Speaker 3 (34:06):
It could be at night.

Speaker 4 (34:08):
That's the only thing that stood out. But yeah, Lebron
was there right so there. I didn't see Adele Was
she there? No?

Speaker 1 (34:17):
No, I don't think she was there. Rob g give
us kind of you know, scuggle.

Speaker 6 (34:24):
Well, But before we do that, I got to make
sure your third eye is open right now, both of you.
I need you to not be thinking A to B.
I need you to be thinking A to Z back
to B and then to F like that's the that's
where you got to be right now, that's what okay.
According to the Twitter sphere, oh here we go off,

(34:44):
Lebron James appearing courtside at tonight's Calves Boston Celtics game
is notable for one reason. Reportedly, the last time he
sat courtside at another team's game.

Speaker 4 (34:59):
He wanted, I'm going to that.

Speaker 6 (35:00):
He was in twenty seventeen during the Summer League to
watch the Los Angeles Lakers. A few weeks later, he
went ahead and signed with the Los Angeles Lakers. So
thank you Berry much. Streets are saying Rob that this
this is Lebron James set in the stage for I'm

(35:22):
Coming Home Part two Lebron Returned three, Part three, Part.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
No, he came back from me.

Speaker 4 (35:28):
This is part two.

Speaker 6 (35:30):
Okay, I'm Coming Home Part two, Lebron's return to Cleveland.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
Your thoughts, I don't see it. I just think he
wants to be in LA with all the stuff that
he's doing. I just I don't because it would be
that team already didn't have to bring in him and
Bronni Well, open up your third eye for.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
A second, Ronnie.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
I mean, I don't know that they're definitely gonna play together,
but you know.

Speaker 3 (35:58):
It's possible.

Speaker 6 (35:59):
Come on, jump down the rab hole with me.

Speaker 7 (36:02):
No.

Speaker 3 (36:02):
Look, I don't think he's going back his old family.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
I mean, that's all she knows is La for the
most part, most of his kids, you know. I mean
they moved there so young, that's all they know. I
don't know that he wants to uproot them. I'll tell
you what though. I mean they would be interesting, and
if they could get him and keep Donovan Mitchell.

Speaker 6 (36:27):
So Chris, it's funny you say that because the Twitter
fear is also talking that in a hypothetical sign and
trade where Lebron gets all his money. If you were
to match up Darius Garland and Jared Allen, their numbers
are almost identical for what it would cost to get
Lebron James.

Speaker 1 (36:47):
The Lakers wouldn't be bad with Chris. Come I don't
know if they'd be better. You could move a D
obviously to the four, which he would like.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
It's interesting.

Speaker 1 (37:01):
I'd rather just trade for Donovan Mitchell. I'd rather just
trade Lebron for Donovan Mitchell. I don't know if Cleveland
would do that, But if they're gonna lose Donovan, I
mean they probably can get some younger players than Lebron.

Speaker 3 (37:14):
But if I'm the Lakers, Donovan Mitchell.

Speaker 4 (37:18):
For Lebron, I make that in a heartbeat.

Speaker 3 (37:23):
Yeah, I mean, yeah, your future is Donovan and a D.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
Yeah, it's about I mean, just Ron's age, because I
don't think they're gonna win a championship with Lebron, right,
so why not?

Speaker 3 (37:35):
But Lebron and Cleveland, I just yeah, I'm with Rob.
I don't see it happening, and I just think, I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
I mean, they would be good again, if they kept Donovan,
they'd be good.

Speaker 3 (37:46):
And they're in the East. The East is is not
even close to what the West is, so that would
be better. But now I think he's just enjoying the game.
It's his hometown, you know.

Speaker 4 (37:58):
I think they just one shopping and his wife kind
of hat on sale in Cleveland. She wanted to show
it off.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
And when she got that in Cleveland, she went to Marshalls.

Speaker 4 (38:07):
That was on sound Marshall.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
That that might cost more than everything in Marshall's coming.

Speaker 4 (38:15):
Oh no, that's a show piece. She had them.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, that's good man. Lebrian going back
there and getting the love. And I remember Rob going
to their game when.

Speaker 4 (38:27):
They love you like that, you know, his first go
round or why because they don't think you was a
threat anymore, you know, that's why they're teriously know.

Speaker 3 (38:35):
What that happens with a lot of people. I thought
that happened with Ali.

Speaker 4 (38:39):
Right, seriously, Really, when people don't think you're a threat,
you know, I.

Speaker 3 (38:44):
Mean I think they So you're saying he when he
was in his prime.

Speaker 6 (38:47):
We love Shock with the Suns, Shack with the Sons,
we love Shack with the Celtics.

Speaker 3 (38:52):
We did not like Shack in Miami exactly. It's a
big fact. That's there's some truth to that. But I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
It would have been interesting when I wonder when he
went back there, if he did with the Lakers in
his prime, what the reception was.

Speaker 3 (39:06):
All Right, we are wrapped up
