(00:26):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. It is the I Couple.
I am Chris. Here is Robber coming you live from
the Fox Sports Radio studios and again. You can follow
us on social media. Rob is at Roy Parker FS
one on Twitter and Instagram. I'm at Chris Underscore, Brucear
(00:47):
on Twitter, Chris Brusar sixty eight on the Gram. All right,
at the bottom of the hour, one of our favorite segments,
Alex Tyshertz Tower of Trivia. It's always entice me Alex
to come up with some crazy clues. Okay, all right,
(01:08):
Robe again, No Rhyman, no Ryan, no foreign languages. Um no,
I don't give number clues anymore. But Chris, you missed it.
Last week rob almost got fired again from Fox Sports Radio.
Oh so what tell me the sky? Can I tell
you on the air, because he would get fired again?
But I will tell you of what. I was trying
(01:29):
to help Alex with a clue and I lost my head,
so to speak. And I don't know what I was saying.
I just got a text. Is that you better have
dumped that. I said, no problem, all right, well let's uh,
let's go here, Rob. We let off the show with
Aaron Rodgers. That of course is the big you know,
that's that's MVP from last season, one of the best
(01:52):
of all time. That's the big story until something is settled,
Like you know, this is kind of We had R. J.
Young in Fox Sports Draft Analysts last segment, Last Hour Rob,
and he said, it's kind of like the Deshaun Watson
scenario before, you know, all this stuff that's engulfed Deshaun Watson,
(02:15):
and it is. I mean, they've the team has all
the leverage because, as he said, Rogers would have to
give back twenty some million dollars. It'd be hard for
people to do it, but guys have done it. Barry Sanders.
I remember when he was in Detroit and he quit
(02:35):
Chris Um he had to pay back the lines his
signing bonus and I ran into him at it. How
much was it? It was like eight million or so.
It was a lot of money at that point. And
I ran into Barry at the airport. I was on
my way to Vegas, no laptop, nothing, Chris, just I'm
gonna get away and relax for a couple of days.
(02:56):
And I see Barry and we just started talking and
he says to me, you know, I gave back the
money to the Lions. What you know what I mean?
They just dropped that on me. Were you able to
report it? I had to pick up the phone call
the office dictated the story, yeah, before I got on
the plane, because it's the yeah, right, and you know
(03:16):
I would miss the deadline. So I had to dictate
this story with some quotes from Barry whatever and put
all together. It was on the stripped across A one
and the next day. But but that's how close it was,
you know what I mean, Chris, When you're not prepared
and you're a reporter, you just gotta make do. But anyway,
would he have gone to another team, I don't know.
(03:37):
I think the Lions still had his rights because he
could do it right, he really could. Right. They would
have to trade him or something, and it would get
some competitions, some compensation for him. So I don't know.
I don't see Aaron Rodgers not at this. You can't
play that game and be thirty seven and sit out
a year. I just think that he regretted Rob. Yeah,
(03:58):
that's I just think even though he's obviously he got
a bright future ahead of him if he wants to
do TV or whatever, he could. He really could do
that show, and he could probably do other stuff. I mean,
I'm sure they'll try to get him on TV here, right,
he's good on that show. I mean, but have you
seen him? He's good? I'm not. I mean I'm not.
I'm not gonna say I'm not a Jeopardy fan. I
don't watch it, though I never miss it because I
(04:20):
get it. But but have you seen I heard I
heard mixed reviews. Some people I heard said he was
really good. One person who is a big fan of
the show said he was so so. Did you watch
any of it? Yeah? I watched him of it. I thought,
you know, four guys not a TV guy, do you
know what I mean? He's not. He's not, He's not.
(04:42):
He would get in time, he would get better. Chris,
It's like reps. You know that, It's like reps. But
he's he's off to a good start for a guy
who's a football player doesn't have TV experience. That's what
the thing the thing with him, Rob, if he let's
just say hypothetically, he walked away, and again, he's a
(05:02):
Hall of Famer already, he does have at least the
one Super Bowl. I think, though, Rob, he'd regret it
because he's leaving many bullets in the chamber. You know,
he's still got I think probably three maybe more years
of high level quarterback. And so I'm with you in
(05:23):
that I don't think he'd walk away. Let me throw
this at you, if you had your druthers, where would
you like to see him playing next year? It doesn't
matter to man, I'd rather hear from you because to me,
it doesn't matter. Like if he plays, I would like
to see him play. I think he's a great quarterback,
one of the best we've ever thrown the football. But
(05:45):
I don't I haven't looked at teams to go, oh, yeah,
it would be great because I just don't look at
teams like that. So there are teams, A lot of
the teams before last night, I would have say in
San Francisco, but obviously they're going with Trey Dance, you know,
at least if not this year, then next year. So
I crossed him on some of the other teams. I
felt the same way about Miami. I think would have
(06:07):
been a good fit. New England. I would have loved
to see him with Belichick. Pittsburgh, I think he I
love to see him there instead of Big Ben. How
about New Orleans at this point, I mean, they still
got weapons, you know what I'm saying, Like that day
he steps in there, I mean they're sold. But of
the places, I mean, I ain't gonna lie to him.
(06:28):
In Denver doesn't get me all that excited. But they
would be good, you know they would. They would be
very good. I would have said Chicago too, but now
they got justin Field, So I rob G. I'm sorry,
Vegas doesn't do it for me. Um, but look wherever
the New York committed or kidding would of course he would,
(06:51):
But um, look, I think he'll rob I think he's
gonna be in Green Bay. I think he's going to
be in Green Bay. I think old because of the
financial spot that they're in, you know what I mean,
Like like people don't understand and they don't want the movie.
They think that, right, Just I think they're just in
the spot both a because of where he's playing, his talent,
(07:16):
where his level is, and what they know if they
step off from him, where they're headed, which is not
to the NFC Championship game or any chance of that.
Oh so they know that building right right, right? But
number two, financially it wouldn't make sense for them. Uh
it hurts. So there's a lot of different things playing.
And uh, I guess it's like you, Chris. I think
(07:37):
they're gonna take your approach, which is to try to
what just what your dad? What what your dad saying
something to suffer through, suffer, suffer through? Right? That was
his That was their mouth, and it is. They've had
a good marriage, they'd be married. It'll be fifty. But
if fifty some years I had the dry patches. Everybody,
(07:59):
if you, if you you're you're only lying to yourself, Chris,
Come on, anybody who's been married. Rob g complains all
the time, he's only been matting a hand full of you. Well,
he said his wife can't cook. He said he's got
dressing it around in his back pocket. He even puts
ranch stress in which she makes steak. I mean that's
how bad? All right? Right? Rob? Did you or did
(08:21):
you not go to Sizzler for lobster tails? You're making
a ranching steak. Sizzler, This Sizzler. No Sizzlers not a sponsor.
You can say whatever you want, Chris, be as honest
as you want to be. Right, that's where gas guys
getting his UH is called. You've never eating that Sizzler.
(08:42):
I want to know. I have, But I when I
was ten years old from Sizzler the bar know any better?
They had two lobster tails special. What are you talking about? Look,
I know how Rod rolls, Rob Ge. He took me,
me and Martin Weiss. First we had to walk two
miles to get to this place with me I'm always
(09:05):
paying with a hooker spot and it was some type
of two you know h O O K A h
where they were smoking hooka. I'm sorry. And what we
found out afterwards it was like buy to one steak,
get too free or something. Although Rob, I will say this,
the steak was actually good. Steak was really good. I
(09:27):
had two coupons and it was four of us, so
I was like I took everybody out I paid for
two meals and we have four. That's a smart man.
But he didn't tell us that as we were. Let
me get to the point, Rob, you didn't you know
what I'm gonna say, So you're you're stalling. I'm not
starve Parker. I don't care where Aaron Rodgers goes next year.
(09:50):
I don't care if he stay still there in Green Bay.
I don't care if he went to another New Orleans,
some other team in the nfl C. I'm saying right here,
right now that the representative for the NFC next year
(10:10):
will be the Tampa Bay Buck need Oh, I thought
you said they were winning. I thought they said they
were winning. No, No, I haven't said that. Yea. I
haven't made my decision between them in Kansas City yet,
but I've made my decision that they are winning the NFC,
Rob Parker. They got all twenty two starters back, plus
(10:35):
Giovanni Bernard, who the one thing they didn't have was
a running back who could catch the ball, and now
they got that in Bernard. I think Antonio Brown is
going to ball ball. I tell you he had a
great second half of the season, forty five catches and
(10:57):
I think eight games. That's you know, over a full
season with sixteen games, I think he's going to be
their best receiver. And obviously Mike Evans and Chris Guy
when they're great, they got the tight ends and Rob.
I thought over that second half. I remember when they
were struggling and you know, people thought, oh, are you
(11:17):
are you jumping off of him? Nah? Said nah, they'll
get it together, and they did. And I just think
now they're gonna be like a well oiled machine next year.
So I am taking the Tampa Bay Buccaneers versus the
NFC field. Your your your words ring hollow for me
because I remember a year ago, after Kansas City won
(11:41):
and after the draft and the players that they got,
you sat up here and banged your chest, Patrick Mahomes
is gonna win the MVP. They were gonna repeat as
Super Bowl champs. Who can beat them? They got better
and they didn't score, no. But it just tells you
that it's hard to predict those things, and you're just
(12:02):
taking the taking the most obvious. I took them last year. Whatnot?
I pissed you pick every team that's one of your
next Did Tampa Bay win it two years ago? Chris?
You pick Kansas City. I will not see here in
pick Kansas City. I pick Kansas City. But but but Chris,
(12:23):
you pick Kansas City, you just pick Tampa. That's a
one time no. The time I picked the team, did
I pick New England two years ago? Chris, I'm not.
My point will not let you sit here lye on me.
My point is last year you pick Kansas City. Must
play the tape old better in Kansas they got better
from a year ago. Now they got the dating. My
(12:46):
home saved them money so that they could keep all
the players. How are they gonna lose? PA's gonna whatever
you're playing if you make a role, I'm prediction I say.
I'm just saying. I'm saying you've been. Brady's done for
deal words on this swing hollow with me. I can't
predict it yet. I don't know who's gonna be heard.
I need to see the rest of the team. Now
(13:06):
we wait to see it. Of course, I need to
take time. Brady gets hurt. They're not getting ready to
I'm not ready to make a super Bowl pick in
uh In on May first. Okay, that's me, you could
pick it. I'm not. Oh that's fine, But don't tell me.
Don't sit here and lie on me. I wouldn't lie
on you. I don't pick every defending champion to win
(13:27):
the Super Bowl. I haven't even picked Tampa Bay to
win the Super Bowl. Who pick to win the finals
this year going into the season, Well that was before
Brooklyn got no I'm asking you. I'm just picking Lakers, Okay, okay.
So what you can't pick anybody to repeat? Is that
what Chris? I asked you a questions about the NBA,
(13:50):
question about the NFL, and we're talking NFL. Why'd you ask?
Why'd you ask an NFL question? Say it with your chest, brother,
I just I asked you to question. You already know
I'm asking that question. You're gonna try to go some
roundabout way. Say it with some base in your boys.
You had nothing but trouble, all right, A seven seven
(14:10):
ninety nine on Fox A seven seven nine nine six
sixty three got in the NFC. Rob, you picked Jacksonville
three years ago. You picked Green Bay. No, first, you
picked New Orleans, then you picked Green Bay. All right,
you haven't been right once. I'm right. I picked two
(14:31):
in the last three Super Bowl champions. I'm right, You're wrong.
That's why we're the Odd Couple eight seven seven ninety
nine on Fox. Who do you have in the NFC
next season? I'm taking Tampa Bay over the field. Who
you got? You're turning away in with Chris and Rob

nine On Fox, I think the bucks look great, great offseason.
It's them or the fit them and everybody else in NFC.
(16:01):
What do you say? All right, Tommy and Colorado, you're
on the eye a couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's
up Tommy? Hey, Fellas, thanks for taking my call. Man way,
I'm gonna go in the NFC. I think Chris has
taken the easy road. It's just too obvious to go
with the Bucks. But I'm gonna go with Rob's number
one boy, Matt stat Padford coming to the Rams. They
(16:23):
got all the other pieces, and I think Stafford is
just gonna be a big upgrade from Goff and they're
gonna surprise everybody. And Hey, on the Jeopardy front, Fellas,
I gotta agree with Chris's boy who said Rogers was
the middle of the road. I'm an everyday Jeopardy fan
and he was definitely middle of the road. Wow. The
(16:45):
Jeopardy regulars. Ken Jennings was the best. He was the
best so far. Katie Curick was the worst. Oh no,
Doctor Oz was the worst. He was terrible? Was he really?
Doctor Terrible? Katie Currek? That that's a great job, I
thought at one point, and Dan Patrick want that job.
Jeopardy job. Yeah, because he did. He did Sports Jeopardy.
(17:06):
He I don't know if it's still on, Rob Jesus
still on? It was like an internet or no. I
think it had a very limited run. They thought they
were gonna get it on TV, right, Sports. If I
was Aaron Rodgers, like a former player, I don't I'd
rather I mean, look, he eats his own, but I'd
probably rather be looking at one of these, you know,
(17:28):
an analyst jobs. Nah, he could get it. But money, yeah,
you can make the money. But I'm saying that's work,
you know that. What do they feel like three shows
a day? No, no, no, five shows. But but they
feel five shows a day? Yeah, because because we won? No, no, no,
you know what. They do them all on one day,
(17:49):
all on one shows on one day. Judge Judy makes
thirty Judge Judy makes like sixty million dollars a year
and she works fifty five days a year. That's all right,
she does them all, all right, they do them all yeah,
because they do enough one for a week time. Yeah. Yeah,
so you don't you don't work every day? Um, all right,
let's go to Chris in New York. You're on the
(18:10):
a couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Chris? Hey, guys,
I think the Saints have a pretty good shot. Where
you live in New Orleans? No, it's from New York.
Did you bring your uncle? Jameis Winston is your uncle? Uh? No?
Not really? Why the Saints? They just lost their quarterback.
(18:34):
I know, but I like Seampagne. He's a really good coach.
You saw what he did a Teddy Bridgewater. Teddy Bridgewater
seemed like a really good quarterback in the Snowlands. He
went to Carolina. He doesn't look good now he wherever here?
I don't know, But the NC West is not gonna
make it because they're gonna cut they all their teams
(18:54):
are pretty good. They're gonna kill themselves that when they
face other teams they're gonnas. So that's just my opinion,
all right. I like my man, Chris. I like when
he calls it. Chris wants to be at the Yeah.
Probably he has some knowledge, he has confidence. He sounds good. Chris. Uh,
(19:15):
I agree. But something you want to do, man, pursue
that keep up the good word. Yeah. I like it. Yeah,
And if you know at this point you want to
do it, then go go full bore because it's competitive. Yeah.

John middlecop on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or
wherever you get your podcasts. I'm looking forward to this
Lakers game tonight. Lebron's back, remember, Yeah, I remember last year.
You've said it many times. They were eight and thirteen
(20:18):
with Lebron after he came back from the injury. Yeah,
it wasn't pretty viewing, right, right. So I think he's
gonna play well, but I guess it's not a given,
you know. I mean he'll play, you know, he'll put
up his numbers, but will he be able to like
take them to that next level right which they need
to get together for the next two weeks or whatever,
right before season's over. So yeah, I don't think Anthony
(20:40):
Davis has looked very good since he's been back. Nah,
not just okay, right, just not like he was okay,
just okay going before the injury, Chris. I mean we
talked about it, right all right? Uh we got tight shirts,
Tower of Trivia and no ladies and gentlemen, vegans and meats,
(21:02):
tale chip lovers, ruffled chip lovers. It's time. This game
is so easy for tight shirts. Tower Up Trivia. That's right,
it is. Tisher's Tower is Trivia, the segment that proves
you don't even gonna like sports to work in sports media.
Just like our resident DJ, the one and only Alex Tyshert.
Go download his podcast. We've nation doing big things in

the Draft show yesterday. Hey, Kevin Burkhart is a friend.
Now we're gonna go hang out on the weekend and
(21:46):
have a steak dipping rants dressing unbelievable. Stop it, Robi,
that's a big time. You know, I'm working with Kevin
burke call. He's a super nice guy. Rob. You remember
when you tried to leave us last year. That's right,
and happen. It is going to happen. By the way,
fun fact, Jay Glazier mean him same height, so respect Ja.
(22:09):
The first time you met you know, I met Jay
a few times, but this was the first time. We
actually bigger than you. I think he does work out,
and he's a lot more muscular than he's taller than you.
You're husky, he's stocky. He's like, wow, no often chunky stock.
Rob saw Jay Glazer like that. He wanted to pick
(22:30):
him up. You know what I mean? That was no.
I was just so excited. I was like, yeah, man,
one of us is making it, respect Jay, one of us,
do it do it for this. He ain't as I
felt like he was. He got you by Lisa in
We'll see all right, So let's keep him where to go.
Tighter's Tower. Trivia question number one is not on the board,
but it is an easy one, so hopefully you guys
can still figure it out and help Alex get the
(22:52):
right answer. Rob, I flipped the coin. You get the
first crack at it. Okay, so let's get to it.
A pair of Miami defensive ends were taken in the
first round of the draft yesterday, Jalen Phillips and Greg Russo. Again,
they both played at Miami. Miami's mascot is named after
(23:12):
this tropical storm. One word, Rob Parker. Uh, let's see, Uh, Halla,
What was that? Halla? Halla? Think about the question? Can
you repeat it? Rob? Yes, please, Miami's mascot universe, just
(23:34):
the end part of it about a tropical storm. I'm
pretty much giving it away by giving that clue. He
doesn't know Halla five seconds. Oh gosh, three bolt. That
is incorrect. Tornado hurricane, that is what I'm talking about.
(23:58):
That way minute? Did you have a way? Uh? Uh
the hippo hurricane, Hollar, the hip hurricane. I knew the answer,
and I wouldn't have got it off. Hollow. I forgot
it when you said hollow, hippo hurricane. Hu I'm sorry.
I was at a car. I know there was a
TV show, the TV show, I don't remember that. Yeah,
(24:19):
that was one of the nineteen fifty seven Here we go,
We're gonna keep it moving. Tita's Tower Trivia the NFL
Draft Edition number two, Chris Brussard, the twenty second and
twenty third picks not on the board here both went
to the same college, which is great. They that college
is the blank tech hokeis Blank tech hokeis Oh boy
(24:45):
uh okay uh uh blank tech Hokeys. Yeah, uh oh
uh Jefferson uh Jefferson. Uh that's a terrible clue. Alex. Yeah,
(25:13):
it's almost as bad as hollow um Jack Jackson isn't correct.
I'm sorry to see all right, Rob nine points to you,
Blank tech Hokies back to back players drafted in the
draft in the first round. Lovers Lovers, Mmm, does this
(25:44):
make sense to anybody else? Love? Yeah? Well, now that
I know the answer, I don't know if I if
I didn't know it, Um this, I'm gonna throw a
dart here. I think it's this. Isn't there a song?
Secret Lovers? Yeah, I'm thinking like because there's only like
(26:06):
one tech school. I can think of. So I'm gonna
go with lovers, though I don't know if it's right,
but I'm thinking Virginia, no that it's chriss. Yes, it's
tied up at the time Virginia state slogan. Was it really, yes, Virginia.
(26:28):
I think the song you were thinking of his Ohio
is for lovers, actually, but there is a saying, but
there is no lovers, right, all right, So now we're
going back to the question that are on the board.
They're not in order, though, so hopefully you can follow
along here. We're all tied up nine points a piece.
T T Tribua Rob Parker. One team that did not
take a quarterback in round one, even though they probably
(26:48):
should have, plays their home games in Denver. That team's
mascot is the blank fucking bucking Brooks. I'm just kidding
that that's that's uh bucking Denver. I think they're horses,
is it? Oh? I think it's a car, but Mustang.
(27:09):
That is incorrect. I'm sorry. Here, you go listen closely,
Alex Okay, Elway, if he didn't know the first one,
he's definitely not knows it. Elway. See, you got a
little too much faith in me here, Elway, I thought
it was a horse. Um oh god, Alway does have
(27:33):
big teeth. Well he does. I thought it was a horse. No,
uh three, not us. That is incorrect, all right, Rob
Denver blank did not take a quarterback robbing round one?
Denver Blank, Oh, I think I'm thinking too hard Ford Bronco.
(27:55):
That is correct. Yeah, no, that counts j Yeah, but
bucking Bronco. Right, is gonna bucking Bronco Bronco? All right, Rob?
My next one was gonna be Tebow. Oh gosh, I
still say, uh privilege alright on that one, like you
(28:19):
on my man, Rob. Rob got eight points seventeen to nine.
Here back to you, Chris. Next level. Alabama tied the
record with eight players taken. Excuse me, six player. I
always say eight six players taken in the first round.
And you know the Alabama rallying cry for all their
fans is roll blank, roll blank, all right, all right,
(28:46):
all right, I'm ready to see surfing tied. That is correct?
Is their best clue at night, let's go. I was
gonna say cheer, cheer, I was gonna say urgent, oh tide, right,
that's what you feel like I want? Rob? Is my
teammate sometimes all right, nineteen, back to you, Rob is
(29:10):
tied up. I'm up. No, you're up by Yeah, you're
up by two points. Rob, back to you here really quickly.
Rather than take an offensive lineman, the Bengals decided to
pair Joe Burrow with his former college wide receiver. That
receiver's name is Jamar Blank. Oh gosh, we wouldn't give
you a complicated name, Alex, thank you, Thank you, Jamar Blank.
(29:35):
Rob Parker, I have to say people name their kids
Apple now like good luck. We'll see what you got
from me, Rob, hold on, hold on, let me, uh
please press two for more time. Yes, I need more time,
give me a second. Come on, what you got all right? Okay,
here we go. Okay, Uh, that's only one word. I'm
(29:59):
trying to think of a one word. Uh. What you
got from me? Okay, here we go, Bank bank Chase. Yeah, right,
I was gonna say that, Chris, you get this one.
Win the game, okay, Christ When you win the game,
he said it was an easy This is not an
easy one, right, I get tougher up the tower here.
The Atlanta Falcons took a tight end in the first
(30:21):
round of number four, the highest we've ever seen a
tight end go in the draft. That player was out
of Florida. His name Kyle Blank. Oh gosh, Chris for
the win if you can get this? All right, all right,
here we go. Listen closely. I'm listening. Picture yourself. You
(30:42):
can't say that, Chris, one word one when you can't
do that. I was right, he said, No, Chris, don't
do that because your clue was pickture this you said, imagining,
here we go, give me the word uh barb que pitts. Yes,
(31:03):
that makes no sense. Why would you put it thats no,
you wouldn't say pity pit. Come on that kind of
like to get you know, I feel like I might
have known it. Why you had to know that, because
you wouldn't have barbecue. Should have said pitch. It's all
to the draft show. Hey, Alex, know what time it is? Oh,
(31:26):
I might have on the Botts or barbecue pits. The
champ is in the champ fair when Alex actually knows
an answer with me. Still, it was a great clue.
I wasn't bad. Oh oh oh more, I couple coming away.
(31:48):
Fox Sports Radio suckers never played me. Be sure to
catch live editions of the Odd Couple with Chris Brussar
then Rob Parker week days at seven pm Eastern four
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeart Radio app.
All Right, it is The Odd Couple, wrapping up a
funky flashback Friday. DJ Alex Heisher on The Ones and
(32:11):
the Twos and Deep in the Crates. We're coming to
you live from the Fox Sports Radio studios, Chris, Bruce
Hard and Rob Parker. What you got going this weekend? Man?
They're opening up out there in La more right, what
about you? Um just gonna be around. You know, I
was in Florida last weekend, so um, I'll be children.
(32:36):
We might go into New York tomorrow, walt to dinner
or something or just yeah yeah, yeah, we might hit dinner.
You know, it's still not much you can do outside
of going to dinner. Yeah, it's good to go out
now and be able to go into a restaurant. You know,
you know, all the tables on pack, but it's still good.
And I get my second and final shot for the
(32:57):
vaccine on Tuesday. And just planning trips, I started to
book tickets. Tickets are still cheap for some places, so
I've booked like I don't know about six or seven
weekends really around the country like straight not straight, no, no,
not straight, not straight, but you know, like yeah, Dallas,
(33:17):
just to just to get away for the weekend because
you know, like during the week I'm so crunched with everything,
and the weather is always good here, so it's not like, oh,
what are you doing leaving La in June? Do you
know what I mean? Like like to me, it's when
you can't go to the other places that I love, La.
Do you see what I'm saying? So for me and
during this time, Chris, to get away and I'm going
(33:39):
to Dallas and catching up with some friends and going
to a ball game, you know like that, and then
I'll go the thing for us, Rob, And you noticed
as a sports writer, to have weekends off, it's so unusual,
you know what I mean. Like we've worked. I worked
my whole life, I work, let me tell you. And
then working in Detroit, I covered every Lion Thanksgiving Day game, Chris,
(34:03):
you know, like, so I always worked on Thanksgiving and
all the weekends and all the other things. So now
this is so weird to be off right weekend. Right.
It's nice though, it's nice, but this is the most
regimented our schedules probably ever been, ever been for me.
I know, yeah, I never really have never mattered, you know, Saturday,
(34:28):
even in Tuesdays. Right, I always say to people when
they're like, oh, I can't wait for the weekend, I
should be like what like I didn't meet anything to
me for a long time. Absolutely absolutely, let me ask
you you like, I mean, Chicago, we've talked about man Rob.
Jay Cutler's probably the best quarterback they've had in the
(34:48):
modern era. Jay Cutler was good. If you remember he
got them to the NFC Championship game, didn't it or
was it to you? No? But yeah, I mean that
was the year. That was the year that he was
on the Remember he got hurt during the game and
everybody was ripping him and then he wound up having
surgery after that. I mean he was right, right, I mean,
(35:09):
he was very talented. Um had some he had like
with teammates and stuff, but he but he only he
made one Pro Bowl, you know what I'm saying. Like,
I mean, when Jay Cutler as good as he may
have been, you know, potential and whatever, when he was
your best quarterback in your franchise history or at least
(35:31):
modern times. That's saying something when Jim McMahon is in
the running for your best quarterback ever. But think about
that team, though, Chris. It was always the Bears were
about Walter Payton. Uh and you those teams were remember
Peyton's teams weren't very good. But I'm just saying it
(35:52):
was always Gail Sayers. I mean, the Bears were about
defense and running the football. That's all I'm saying. Well
and right, and you know when that that's tough on
the quarterback monsters of the Midway. You know that that
was what that team was built on, is all I'm saying.
Like they didn't You're right, they didn't have great quarterback.
The Packers have had nothing but great quarters. Bart Starr
was a great quarterback. They've had like four great quarterback.
(36:14):
They had that little drought and then they got far
right Don Markowski or whatever they have, They had some
some like I said, when we were growing up, they
were nothing. You know, they weren't really on the radar.
But um, justin fields man, look I like him. We'll
see Um. I've heard people say they feel sorry for
(36:35):
him really because like we said, they do they know
how to develop quarterbacks. Now, obviously this is a different regime.
I think Matt nagee Is can be good, you know
what I mean. He certainly hasn't gotten it done yet.
Certainly didn't I think Rob when they went to Folds
last year that was a mistake. You don't go to
(36:56):
the season pull the plug way too early. Everybody knew
it and they were winning games. So if Fields can play,
and he probably won't start right away, but maybe halfway
through the season he's in there or whatever. But I
hope it works out for him because you know, he's
got a lot of the skills that you like to
see in a quarterback today. He can run it, he
(37:17):
can throw it, and if they get a quarterback, I
think they could be good. So we will see, all right,
